Starting point is 00:02:41 It's time for the Bobby Bones Post Show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones. Hello, hello. Well, where do I start? I'm going to run through some of these voicemails here from Thursday night that we didn't get to on the show. So here we go. This is voicemail number one, Ray, please.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Hey, Bobby. I'm here with my little boy, Charlie. He's six, and we listen every day. And he's been wanting to call you, and he has a morning corny for Amy. Go ahead, Charlie. What do you call California Gates? Ground beef.
Starting point is 00:03:20 Ha, ha, ha, ha. We love your show. Say bye, Charlie. Oh, he doesn't want to say bye. We'll talk to you later. It almost felt like Charlie was one of those little puppet you put your hands in. Like, okay, Charlie, what do you call a... But he said cow, I didn't, I see it written here, a cow with no legs.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yeah, ground beef. Here's Jim and Charleston, South Carolina. I figured out how we can tell whether lunchbox sent those pizzas to Amy or not. I'm 90% sure that he didn't because the pizzas were paid for. And we all know how lunchbox feels about money. So thanks. Love the show. Talk to you soon.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Good point. That's funny, but I do think for a great practical joke, he'd pay for it. Yeah, he'd make that investment. I think there's a fine line in what he wouldn't, wouldn't pay for it when it comes to torturing somebody else. I think that's where it is. I agree. I do have an idea for a bit on Monday show that involves paying lunchbox more money. Oh.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Okay. And I need to run about Mike and Scuba. Because we can do the bit even if he says no. But it's really funny. Why would he get more money? Well. I deserve it. Can you play some hold music?
Starting point is 00:04:27 I'm going to tell Amy and Mike not on microphone. Okay. So I'll have Mike play a little music here. I'll turn my mic off. As like holding the music. Okay. Goodbye. And you guys can tell me if this is funny or not.
Starting point is 00:04:38 I mean, it depends on much money I'm getting paid. Let me play voicemail number three. And then I'll tell you guys. Here's Bethany. Hello, Bobby Bones. Morning studio. I wanted to give a birthday shout out to my favorite. That's what I call him.
Starting point is 00:04:53 My favorite. His birthday is this Saturday, April 2nd. No, Bobby. You're not the favorite. I'm talking about. It's my boyfriend, Andrew. He shares a birthday with you. So, also shout out to you, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:05:06 Happy birthday. Well, maybe you're not my favorite. Maybe Amy's my favorite. It did name my car, Amy. Do any of you have names for your cars? Love to hear it. I think some people get drunk and call her line. Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:05:20 She named her car, Amy. Well, she just kept talking. Yeah. Okay. Hey, what was her name, Brittany? Okay. Hold on. I want to turn our microphones down for a second, guys.
Starting point is 00:05:32 We'll be right back. We got a little whole music for you. Okay. On they left. Yeah. We appreciate you holding. All of our customer representatives are busy right now, and we will get to you as soon as possible.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Your call is very important to us. Please remain on the line. If you'd like a call back, press one, and you will not lose your spot in line. Please state your name. Okay. Mike. Yeah, we're good.
Starting point is 00:06:11 No, I'm saying, like, funny. I think it's funny. Yeah. he would probably do it. He would for money. I mean, I think. Um, so we'll do that on Monday's show. Obviously, lunchbox doesn't know what it is yet.
Starting point is 00:06:24 And he also doesn't have to do it, so we're not trapping him. But I think for money he would do just about anything, including taking a haunted doll back home that his wife doesn't even want there. Yeah, now this isn't going to be money like wink, wink, and then you want your money back, right? Like Amy does? No, I didn't, I don't want my money back. I already paid you. I was just shocked you took it.
Starting point is 00:06:40 Sure sounds like you wanted it back. That's what she said. She was shocked. You kept. it. Yeah. And didn't go, you know what? Never mind. I'll just take the doll.
Starting point is 00:06:48 Yeah. She didn't say, yeah, yeah. I mean, because it was, like, that's the most money. That's the biggest payout, I think we've had on the show. Yeah, and you said I could have got more. No, it's not the biggest payout. I got more from Bobby. For what?
Starting point is 00:07:01 For what? Sam Hunt. Oh, that, yes, but he actually did. I had to buy something from him, though, for that. Oh, okay, so it was like a transaction. Yeah, like I protect. This was her just paying you to do. do something. Me was paying you not to do something.
Starting point is 00:07:16 I guess I paid so I didn't have to do it. Chris in Arizona is on line one. If we can pull them up, please. Hey Chris, what's up, buddy? What's happening? Pretty good. What can I do for you? Good morning, studio. Good morning. I just wanted to call and say if you could get me some tickets to Arkansas. Open up in the cart. Yeah, man. Well, you need 20, 25? Yeah, just let me know. What else you got there? I just wanted to call on a happy birthday. Oh, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Give me a one second. Me and my family want to say, happy birthday, see, because your birthday is. Yeah, it is. Thanks, man. Oh, wow. That's awesome. Well, thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Appreciate that. Yeah. Have a good weekend. See you and the crew. Okay, you too. You too, buddy. See you later. All right.
Starting point is 00:08:18 All right, see you. It also had on the screen that he was going to mention your singing today. I guess he never got to it. Oh. That's why I was going to let him hang around. He said he did a good job singing. He told Abby that. Did he really?
Starting point is 00:08:29 Abby, did he not say he was going to say Amy did a good job singing. Yeah, he really did. Promise. Jocelyn or Jocelyn in North Dakota is on the phone. Hello, Jocelyn. Jocelyn, how are you? I'm good. How are you?
Starting point is 00:08:44 Doing really good. What can I do for you? My class and I just wanted to say, Good morning, studio. Morning. Wow. And now, ready? Congratulations.
Starting point is 00:09:03 To Bobby? For Garth. Oh, for Garth. Or, or... I wanted to say congratulations. Congratulations to you and Eddie for scoring that awesome show with Garth. Thank you very much. It's very kind of you.
Starting point is 00:09:17 You teach school where? Maybe you shouldn't say. In Fort Yates. Oh, sorry. In Fort Yates North Dakota. Okay, 48 shout out. And you are, I'm going to guess by the sound of their voice, a second or third grade teacher. Yes, we are a group of second graders.
Starting point is 00:09:34 Well, tell them that I said, I hope they have a great weekend. What are they learning today? What's the lesson plan? We are going to be learning how to subtract three-digit numbers with regrouping. Yeah, I still don't know how to do that. So good luck, kids. You guys are going to nail it. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Hope you guys have an awesome weekend. Thank you guys. Thank you. Bye. That's funny. Let's do one more call. This is about the crying boy, the haunted doll. This is, ah, man, you have to help me with the name here, guys.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Asasia? Asasia. Okay, I like it. Just didn't want to say it wrong. Okay, Asasia. Let's talk to her who lives in Indiana. Hi, Asasia, how are you? I'm good.
Starting point is 00:10:21 How are you? Really good. Thank you for calling. What would you like to say? Well, I was just, we listen to you every morning and when I say we, me and my kids. No, thank you. But I must have missed, I must have missed the backstory on the doll, but I kind of know how lunchbox and his views of the world are. So I just wanted to let him know that if I were him, I would not.
Starting point is 00:10:54 antagonize or provoke whatever is attached to that doll. I think the odds of it being something really negative is pretty rare, despite what some really famous investigators like to say. But because there is an attachment to it, that doesn't mean that that attachment cannot move to the home. and it doesn't mean they can't move to him or his wife or his kids. So just maybe just kind of leave it be. Don't give it a reason to stick around once he's ready to get rid of it.
Starting point is 00:11:36 And when he is ready to get rid of it, be sure and sage the home. Lunchbox, will you sage your house? Yeah, I mean, if that's what's going to keep the spirits away, because listen, guys, I didn't want this doll. I believe things can be haunted. I don't know what you. I mean, provoke it. I'm not going to go to and talk trash.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Like, what a crime boy, you little pun. I'm not going to do anything like that. Okay. Well, sage your house. He'll bring it back to the studio, what, next Friday? That's when he gets to bring it back? Or next Thursday. Where do I get sage from?
Starting point is 00:12:05 I took a home Thursday. Oh, they sell cute little. I was actually gifted one for my birthday. And I just lit it up and walked around my house the other day. And I was scared, honestly, I was going to set off my smoke alarm. And then my kids were like, who's smoking? It does not smell good. Like, I had to open up the doors.
Starting point is 00:12:23 and air everything out. Thank you for the call. I hope you have an awesome weekend. All right, let's move on. Bud Light is buying San Antonio a round of beer in honor of Eric Church. Bud Light will be buying a round a beer at the Riverwalk
Starting point is 00:12:36 in San Antonio on Saturday at 8 p.m. That's the exact day and time. The Eric Church concert was supposed to happen. That's funny. I saw them ask Jason Aldeen about it and he was like, I wouldn't have done it. Okay, it's easy to say that if you're the one not doing it.
Starting point is 00:12:50 Okay, so what did Jason Aldean's Atlanta Braves guy and they just won something? Remember? The World Series. The World Series. So Jason is saying it's a once in a lifetime experience to be at the World Series. Game 7 or games, sure. Whatever. He may not have. Listen, he may go, I signed a deal. I got it going on with that deal. I know, but if I was Eric Church, I'd be like, seriously, dude, like, stop. But you don't, you don't have to talk trash. Like, don't make me look bad. They did ask him again, too. I just saw the clip. It was from maybe the real, maybe was the show was on. I don't know. Maybe you
Starting point is 00:13:23 might see it Mike, but they asked him and he was like, hey, I don't think I could have done that. And so if I were... I mean, I can think of things that he would skip out on a concert for. I'm just saying. If I were an artist and someone were to ask me that question, and I don't know if they, I mean, I don't know if they like each other or not. I doubt their best friends. But ask me to say, Okay, so hey, Bobby, Eric Church just canceled a show in San Antonio. Straight up canceled it because he wants to go to the Final Four basketball game in North Carolina or whatever.
Starting point is 00:14:03 Would you do that to your fans? Now, again, this is not me. This is a big artist. I'm just trying to not get in trouble because you're not trying to create headlines. I would go, man, I don't know. I think it will be tough to do. I can understand why he wanted to do that. I haven't been in that situation
Starting point is 00:14:20 and what I'm trying to do is not book games not book games in concerts at the same time so it just hasn't happened to me and you know I'll let him live his life you know that way there's no headline you get out of that no without making a headline
Starting point is 00:14:34 but did you find it Mike? Yeah Daily Pop from E News okay okay can you read to me exactly what it is because I don't want to misquote anyone and I only am going from memory from what I read yesterday he said I don't know that I could cancel a show to make it to a game
Starting point is 00:14:47 is what he said on it Okay. He said, I feel if people buying a ticket coming to see your show, you would have to hold up your end of the deal on that. And he's never canceled a show. I don't know if this is true or not, but a lot of artists, if there's not great ticket sales, anytime in his career, I've been like, ooh, ticket sales aren't great.
Starting point is 00:15:05 Let's just have another. There are artists doing that with COVID, if I'm being honest. Really? Like, hey, we're going to cancel the show, COVID. Nobody bought tickets. But they could use as an excuse. And I'm not sticking up for why you're at church. did it, I would probably do the same.
Starting point is 00:15:21 There's probably one or two times in your whole life you could have this fall accidentally on the same time. You got to make a decision. But also, I like Eric Church because he does whatever the F he wants. That's what we like Eric Church to begin with. He just does his own thing. Anyway, I thought the Aldine headline. I thought that was not a shot, but it wasn't not a shot.
Starting point is 00:15:41 And now he's like, if anything ever comes off, he's got that quote lingering over him. It wasn't diffused like it easily could have. have it been. You could have said, man, I don't, I think everybody's different. You know, it'd be tough for me to do that. I guess I'd need to know more about why Eric did that. Gosh, to have to make a decision with a once in a lifetime sporting event and a concert and hopefully I, you know, whatever. But I agree, not cool. Hey, I agree for the record. Not cool. I mean, like Eric Church, not cool. However, I'd have not been cool too. So it's me admitting I am also human.
Starting point is 00:16:17 A $10 million powerball double play ticket went unclaimed in Maryland. The ticket became a winner on September 27th, but it is now expired. That hurts. Completely unclaimed. Somebody won it threw their ticket away, $10 million. Lunchbox thoughts. Oh, it's just, that's horrendous. Like, that's bad lottery etiquette.
Starting point is 00:16:35 Like, if you're going to play the lottery, you've got to be take care of your tickets. Don't be an idiot. It's obviously a rookie player that never plays and just forgot it and has no idea how to handle the lottery. and that person probably deserves what they got. Some Skippy peanut butter products are being recalled because they might be chunky. And you go, well, that makes, they should be chunky. But apparently they may contain small fragments of stainless steel from a piece of manufacturing equipment.
Starting point is 00:17:01 That's the kind of chunky you can't bite through. Yeah. That's the, uh-oh. I think my tooth broke chunky. I've had that happen to me before where you go, is that my tooth? Mm-hmm. Oh, God, it is my tooth. I have a bad habit of trying to break open things on my teeth.
Starting point is 00:17:15 my teeth or a tag on a shirt and start to bite through the thing. Broke. Now I'm at the stage of my life where I'm breaking teeth. I still have a chip way back in the back of my mouth. I was in D.C. eating a fried oyster. And I think, I don't know if there was a pearl or something, but there was something hard. But I've also been like part of the shell. That's probably what, not a pearl.
Starting point is 00:17:37 It probably wasn't a pearl if I'm guessing. Or part of the shell that got fried in there. But all I know is every time I get my teeth. cleaned, like the hygienist is like, hey, do you know there's a big chip back here? I'm like, yeah, it's in the back. I don't want to fix it because nobody sees it and that's pointless, but it's from a pearl.
Starting point is 00:17:55 And I probably swallowed it. Probably not a pearl. But it is a more romantic story that way. According to a new poll, the average child spends more than four and a half hours a day on their electronic devices and just 40 minutes outside. 40 minutes out, oh, outside playing. Yeah, I think outside's overrated.
Starting point is 00:18:13 I mean... But I think... Being on your devices, if not, if you're not doing something productive or learning, that can be trouble. I also think that just going, being on a device over four hours, kind of a blanket statement that isn't just always bad. True, because sometimes on my son's device, like iPad, he'll be doing a 30-minute at-home jujitsu tutorial. And that, honestly, we have a timer on his tablet where it'll shut down after a certain amount of time. but there's times where I extend it because I know he's using it
Starting point is 00:18:47 for purposes of moving his body and learning and so we have to extend his time for the day. It's not just that he's on Roblox for four hours. I mean, I'm reading now on my Kindle way more. I keep losing books. Not losing, but I misplaced them in the house somewhere. And then I'm like, you know, I felt
Starting point is 00:19:03 like reading the book, but I don't feel like getting up to go get it. Yeah, hate when that happens. Yeah. And so, or if I don't even know where it is, I'm like, I don't want to spend five minutes looking for the day. Is it in the car? Is it my, which bag is it in that I just traveled with. So I've moved over now to a Kindle and I'm on that thing an hour a day. That shouldn't count against me.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Right. In my screen time. And I'm on Twitter all day. That shouldn't count against me. And it won't because now you do it on your Kindle. I have, well. Do you have both screens going at the same time? No, this is what I did because I know
Starting point is 00:19:35 it can get me in trouble. That Kindle that I have, I did not understand that it had all the things on it. It's like an Amazon fire tablet. Oh, yeah. My kids have that. I just bought a Kindle. I guess Kendall's part of Amazon Fire. Amazon? Yes.
Starting point is 00:19:49 I don't put anything on the tablet except Kendall that keeps me off of getting on the social media apps. Okay. Nothing. It's only a matter of time before he starts downloading. I don't know. Because if I have access to get on Twitter or Reddit or TikTok in that order, I do. So I don't put those apps on there. The same reason I keep sweets in my refrigerator is if they're in there.
Starting point is 00:20:12 I'm going to eat them. It's like you have to, you can't keep apps around. I can't. Not advertisers, but apps. Can't keep apps because I get on them. David and Victoria Beckham's London mansion burglarized while the couple was inside the home. Oh, scary.
Starting point is 00:20:28 They weren't even out of town for like a month doing some sort of shoot or a commercial. David and Victoria Beckham's London mansion was burglarized while they and their 10-year-old daughter was still inside the house. Everybody was safe, though. It happened in the early hours of March 1st. responded, cops got there, and they discovered all kinds of stuff, designer, electric goods, la, la, la. But luckily, no one was shot or stabbed. But they got in and got out. That's scary if somebody breaks in while you're there, because I've been in the situation where someone's broken
Starting point is 00:20:57 when I haven't been there, and that's so scary. I can't imagine that it happens while you're there and you feel even closer to have almost been murdered. I know. What was it that Sandra Bullock had that stalker or somebody break into her house, remember? And she was, that was years ago. go so much so I don't even remember all the details but I saw a headline recently where she was saying she's still like she hasn't been alone since a guy hacked an airline's website and found his lost luggage himself huh they lost his luggage yeah they wouldn't give it back to him or they wouldn't find it for him it was troublesome so he just hacked the website and found it himself oh clever an airline had lost a software engineer's bag and so since he had the skills he went in
Starting point is 00:21:39 founded himself, which I think is illegal, let me say, but pretty funny. But illegal first. Joe Exotic is filed for divorce from his husband Dylan. He's in jail. We don't care that much about him right now. He's not getting out of jail. I don't think. I wonder what Dylan thinks about this. Why? Yeah. Because Dylan's probably using this to do cameos, to do appearances, to do interviews. So they are splitting up. The Dodgers, Will Smith is booed at training camp. Will Smith is not the Fresh Prince, Will Smith. Is a player?
Starting point is 00:22:18 With the same name. I'm going to play this. There are two active players in Major League Baseball with the name Will Smith. On Thursday, the Smith who plays catcher for the Dodgers was booed as he walked to the plate. The response from the audience is suspected to have something to do with the actor Will Smith. So, do we have a clip ray? Yep. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 00:22:35 Hitting it. This facility is shared. It's the 20th year of this facility, by the way. And it is shared with the Kansas City Royals. So they're just booing them. Poor guy. Since they can't get to the real Will Smith, they're going to boo this one. By the way, he had a triple.
Starting point is 00:22:54 Yeah, he's like, take that. Really stuck it to him. Billy Ray Cyrus is on the Bobbycast today. It's really good. Right? It's really good, right, Mike? Really good. And Billy Ray's kind of a hermit.
Starting point is 00:23:04 it unless he's not working he doesn't come around a whole lot and we talked for a solid hour here we go this is the clip where he talks about the moment he gave up drugs cold turkey i stopped at a bridge down here on the harper somewhere and threw all my stuff into the river and um said i i can't do this and not be at my very best i've worked too hard when you say through your stuff do you mean do you mean your actual stuff or drugs cocaine got it you're cold turkey did i pulled over and threw my damn cocaine out and you never look back No. So really an honest interview with Billy Ray Cyrus.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Wow. Just a lot of stuff about his early life. I guess I didn't know the fact that he was working in a bar playing music. It burnt down. He moved to Los Angeles. But they kept, country music kept telling him he was too, he wasn't country enough to be country, even though he's from Kentucky. And he's his Billy Ray. So he's like, well, then I guess I'll go where people might like me more.
Starting point is 00:24:01 And he went to California and they were like, you're too country to be. Oh, no. So it's like, you know what, screw it. I'm just going to Nashville where I should have been to begin with. Great interview. Search for the Bobbycast. That's it. I do want to mention this before we go. If anyone out there's listening, you know, we do the segment, which we've done today's show, called Fun Fact Friday. Amy finds five most fun facts of the week. We share them. We talk about them. Pretty random, but always pretty funny and interesting. If you have any fun facts yourself that you have found on the internet or something you just can't believe, call our voicemail line, and leave the fun fact there. Just say who you are, where are you from, and leave us a fun fact.
Starting point is 00:24:36 Because we think we can make this a bit as well, and then we can package them on Friday's shows as well, from fun facts from you guys. So it may take us a few weeks to get this going, but if you have one, you're like, oh, did you know the human brains, white, blah, blah. You don't have to take things from Jerry McGuire specifically, but if you have a cool fun fact, leave it on our line, 877-77 Bobby. All right, that's it. We're going to go. I'm going to go and play golf today. It's getting a little blue sky, which is pretty nice. Blue sky.
Starting point is 00:25:07 Well, it's cold. And I was like, God, dang. I haven't played golf in forever. I know. It's a beautiful morning, though. Just a little chilly. But that makes it not beautiful. It's like he's a beautiful guy,
Starting point is 00:25:17 except his face is beat up. No? You can just wear some jackets or something. I hate cold. Okay. So I had a couple friends. We're going to play golf. And I have a couple friends that we always,
Starting point is 00:25:30 try to play golf. So I texted Parker McCollum because we're friendly and he lives close to me and we talk a little bit. And he's like, let's go play golf. Let's go play golf. Let's go play golf. So I texted him. I was like, hey, we're going to go play golf. And I didn't hear from him for like 12 hours. And then he hit me back. He was like, hey, I'm on my honeymoon. I was like, oh, yeah. I forgot about that. I forgot. You got married. So we're not so close I went to his wedding, but we've been trying to play golf together the whole time. But we're going to go play golf today. Hopefully it's not freezing cold. Tomorrow's my birthday. which is going to be good because I don't care about the age number.
Starting point is 00:26:05 There's nothing but positivity on this one. Caitlin did a great job at securing a cool place for me and friends to get together, right? Very cool. Pretty cool. Yeah. So cool. They were like, please don't mention it. Which we will at some point, I'm sure, but I'm going to do that.
Starting point is 00:26:26 And, you know, I don't even know what the birthday is going to have. and hold, but just excited to be here for another little spin around the sun. That's it? 42. By the way, it was not an April Fool's joke. We are opening for Garth Brooks, April 23rd at Razorback Stadium.
Starting point is 00:26:43 80,000 people, Garth Brooks. Also, the raging idiots. In my favorite place in the whole world, Razorback Stadium. Behind my house. Is it outside, or does it have a cover? Outside. Yeah, no, it's not a dome.
Starting point is 00:26:56 Okay. I didn't know. Haven't been yet. Yeah, it's not a dome. So tickets are sold out for that show, but it's just really cool. Garth called, and I thought it was an April Fool's joke. If you heard the podcast, you heard me think it was an April Fool's joke.
Starting point is 00:27:09 It wasn't. That's that. Have a great weekend. We will see you Monday. Anything you want to say, Amy? Happy birthday. Thank you very much. Yes.
Starting point is 00:27:18 All right, Mike. Happy birthday, dude. All right. Anybody want to say anything except happy birthday? Four things with Amy Brown. That's my podcast. I'm loading up every weekend, the last this week. be the fourth weekend of doing the listener Q&A episodes.
Starting point is 00:27:33 What are you calling them though? Listener Q&A. You didn't go with like Walkabout Town? No, you told me. Keep it what it is. But I say all kinds of stuff. You don't listen most of the time. Actually, I do take into account what you say a lot of time. But that's not listening. I do take into account.
Starting point is 00:27:48 I need to make my own decisions, but I felt like listener Q&A was totally appropriate because that's what they're doing. It's a listener-led segment. And all four listeners I've sat down with so far have been blown away. Like they have great questions, but then they have. They also have amazing insight and wisdom throughout the episode as well. How do you find them? They email me,
Starting point is 00:28:05 Four Things with Amy Brown at gmail.com. And they say I'd like to be on the show? In the subject line, they put listener Q&A. I just, on my podcast, I tell them that, and then I start getting the emails. That's how they email me if they want a question for the fifth thing with Kat or... Are... Is it getting good response from listeners? I think so.
Starting point is 00:28:24 I feel like it's hardcore. It's so new, but I could tell... I think that if you're hardcore, you're listening to it. I've only had one of the four, shockingly, wasn't a beat teamer. The first three, they've been with the Bobby Bone Show and the Four Things podcast since the beginning, basically. And then one girl was like, I found you six months ago through Cats, you need therapy podcast. And she's like, and oddly, I listen to her all the time. And then I started listening to Four Things.
Starting point is 00:28:50 And so I was shocked that she wasn't a beat teamer. So it's hardcore people. All right. Thank you guys. Have a good weekend. We will see you Monday. Bye, everybody.
