Starting point is 00:02:30 Up here would be the greatest place in the world to hide the body. But no one will find it. He acted friendly. He talked friendly. He sounded friendly. They all knew that I did the scary boogie stuff, and I said maybe she'll find out where this girl is. I saw him violent.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Backhanded a bow! Listen to the devil's quarry season two in the Bone Valley Feed on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And the morning Morgan, who used to work here, Morgan, who used to work here, her wedding party is tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:03:41 Word around town is you got a date. Yep. You're taking a date to Morgan's party? No. I'm going with somebody. but they're invited. These guys. I know.
Starting point is 00:03:52 Bobby, you would have my... Bobby will have my back when he understands the story. Why do you keep saying my name? Something feels weird. Because I feel like you're the only person. Because I've been listening to them. No, it's a talk in the town. Yeah, berate me.
Starting point is 00:04:06 What? Barade me? What have we said to you? No, we were excited for you. How did you guys get together? How did you guys decide you're going? Let's do this. Around the room.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Eddie, what's your version of this before? I'll let Amy finish. Go. Yeah, my version is she was. she was casually talking to someone. Oh, and I asked, I said, hey, are you taking someone? Because, I mean, I didn't RSVP and it'd be
Starting point is 00:04:25 maybe you having a plus one, you're not taking anyone. She could take you. Right. I thought about that be a good option. And then she was like, I'm taking someone. No, that's not what I said. Oh, did you gasp like that? And I went, what? Okay, okay, okay. And then I said, oh, it's a friend of yours, like a girlfriend. She's like, no, it's a guy. Oh! Whoa! And that's what I did.
Starting point is 00:04:42 Okay, okay, lunchbox? Yeah, and so I walked up on the conversation and she's like, oh, you know, and she said his name. I was like, I don't know that. She goes, well, we were in the same, we went out a couple weeks ago with a group, and we were in the same group, and then we decided we're going to go to the wedding together.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I'm like, oh, so you guys talked about it that night? And she goes, no, he slid into my DMs. No, that's not how I said it. And I was like, whoa! And then she said, I said, so are you guys just meeting there? Is he picking you up? She goes, we'll probably riding a Nuber together.
Starting point is 00:05:08 And I'm like, what? Like, the fact that they didn't have each other's number that they slid into DMs to arrange this, yelled, date! So that's their version of the story. What happened? They have both taken liberties with the story, for sure. Did he slide into your DMs?
Starting point is 00:05:25 Yeah. It's Amy's turn, she has the talking stick. Go ahead. So what happened? So yes, a couple of weeks ago, he was like, I don't know if I'm going to Morgan's wedding. Do I know this guy? I didn't know he was even friends with Morgan,
Starting point is 00:05:40 but they were close. You didn't answer my question. I don't think, no, I don't know. I thought they would know him, or lunchbox at least, because he acted like he had met lunchbox. Go ahead. I have. Maybe when I see him, I'll recognize him.
Starting point is 00:05:52 He's a man about town. He doesn't know who he meets. That's true. I mean, a lot of people in. Exactly. So I don't know that you ever met him because I had never met him. You're acting nervous right now. You're acting nervous and weird.
Starting point is 00:06:02 That happens every day, though. So anyway, continue. I'm going to block them out. Okay. Thank you for blocking them out. Go ahead. So then he wasn't sure he's going to go. So then when he DMed, he's like, hey, I'm going to Morgan's wedding now.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Save me a seat because I'm coming. alone. Save me a seat means I like to sit by you. No, no, no. It's not like that. As a dude, save me a seat means I would prefer to sit by you. That's a flirt. I understand where he's coming from because I was going to be arriving alone and I felt weird about that. So he was going to be arriving alone. He felt weird about that. So perfect. I'll save him a seat. So then how did? So then I replied back and I was like, well, I'm going alone if you want to just go together because that's better. And he was like, oh, bold. Down. But it's not being bold because it's just a friend. If it were just, just a friend, you would just save him a seat. Correct. No, I don't want to
Starting point is 00:06:52 go by myself. But you're going to know most everybody there. I don't, still arriving by yourself. That's not fun. When do you care about that? Yeah. I don't know. Let me think how many weddings I've arrived to by myself. This is a lot of wedding. This is a wedding party. They've already been married. Yeah. And no one is going to notice you walking in that barn by yourself. Nobody. Okay. I have felt weird about going by myself this entire time and I didn't RSVP for a plus one. It's not a date. We're friends. Bobby, I'm looking at you straight in the eyeballs. Why do you keep calling me Bobby? This is so weird. It's so weird. You're acting weird. Also, I don't care if it's a date. I think that's a date. I think that's good. Okay. Are you unequivocally, it's not, it's not, it's not, it's a
Starting point is 00:07:33 date. Unequivocally, is there a chance? There's not a chance. It's a date. Could you think it's a date? Correct. No. If I were a dude. Wow. And I said, hey, save me a seat flirting and they said, Hey, why don't we just go together? I'm thinking, date. No. I can tell you off air why it's not a date, but I'm not telling you. His wife doesn't know? What?
Starting point is 00:07:54 I don't know. I don't know who it is. Wait, he doesn't like girls. Okay. That's two. If he's gay, I would tell me all right now. He's gay. Okay, but he's not.
Starting point is 00:08:04 I don't think so. Okay. Lunchbox is raising his hand. I appreciate that. Go ahead. So, Amy, so there is no chance that this could lead to future things after the wedding. Correct. You're saying that line in the sand.
Starting point is 00:08:20 Never date him. Line in the sand. I'm saying this is not a date, nor has it been. She's going politician on us now. I don't even want to press you on it. I don't want to press you on it. No, I just wanted to ask, these guys are running around like they have hot goss. They're like, we got the gossip. Amy's got a date. You heard what we heard. Didn't you kind of jump to that too? Can you show me as Instagram profile? Let me see who it is. Let me see if I know them. And don't you think when she says they DM'd, he didn't even have her number.
Starting point is 00:08:47 That's because we had just met two weeks before. We have several mutual friends, but we had never met. Also, if you want to go on a date with somebody, that's amazing. It's great. We support you, Amy. Always. It's not a date. We'll cheer you at the wedding.
Starting point is 00:09:02 Is it weird that we had this conversation on the air because he might hear it? Green jacket. Green jacket. He's a master's winner. I don't know him. It's Tiger Woods. How would I know? Yeah, I don't know. Is this his profile? I don't know him. Ah, interesting. I never, I don't know him at all. I thought maybe he like worked here or something.
Starting point is 00:09:21 But Amy, you thought that we all knew him? You thought that? I could have, when I met him and he was talking about knowing Morgan, he acted like he had met lunchbox. But maybe I have that wrong. Maybe he just like through or maybe it was at an event. He was at with Morgan. Maybe they just met casually. It's not like I was picturing them hanging out. But I guess they didn't. Well, I hope you have a great time. Yeah, have fun. And I hope that you don't need to save the seat because you're going together. And if it's not a date, still have fun with a friend. So are you Ubering to his house?
Starting point is 00:09:49 Are you driving? Nope. He's going to come to mine and we're Ubering from there. Oh my gosh. Uber is taking him up at one location. He's driving his car to your house. Because of the. Because of the.
Starting point is 00:09:57 Because of the. Because of the. Exactly. After drinking. After drinking. From where he lives to my house, he's further out. That way, my house makes sense. Have fun.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Oh, guess what? We have other mutual friends that. that we may all meet up after the wedding. Who cares? I know. Have fun. So, wait, you're going to go out to other places with him after the wedding? I mean, maybe.
Starting point is 00:10:23 With our other friends. I love it. Amy, live your life. Live your life. Just live your life. Just live your life. Just update us on Monday. Oh, I'm sure everyone here will have stories.
Starting point is 00:10:39 I'll have it. I will be watching. Be careful about devil's elbow, though, on the way back. Yeah, Ray said there's a turn going into Morgan's wedding party that you can have a crash and dies. Yeah, devil's elbow. There are inmates in jail with Diddy that are now talking about how pampered his life is in prison. And so I want to play you this from NBC. This is about Diddy while in jail.
Starting point is 00:11:02 Combs is seen using a cell phone, which is prohibited by federal law. They describe Diddy's privileged life, saying he's paid thousands of. of dollars a month to other inmates to do chores like make his bed, clean his toilet and shower, even give him massages. They also cook him special meals like these, from pizza to onion rings. Those sources say the money flows from people outside prison to the commissary accounts of those inmates performing the services. Multiple sources said Diddy has used contraband cell phones to scroll Instagram. That's pretty legit. Yeah. Yeah. If I could do it, I would do it too. If you're going to be in prison, might as well do that. If you're going to be in prison,
Starting point is 00:11:40 you have a ton of money, get your people outside to pay their, what are they, commissary. Yeah, and let them have all the noodles they can buy. You get nonstop massages from the inmates? Pizza? That sounds better than my life now. No, I don't think so. Okay, okay, it was a joke, guys.
Starting point is 00:11:59 There's a 74-year-old that had the wrong leg amputated during surgery. Oh, no. So now he's going to have no legs. Now she has no legs. Yeah, she went to the hospital. to amputate one leg, they amputated the wrong leg first, and then had to go and amputate the other leg, obviously. It is for sure a medical error. Hit that from W-T-O-L-11 Toledo. 74-year-old Sharon Jacks went to a hospital in Marietta, that's Southwest Ohio, last September, to have her right leg removed below the knee.
Starting point is 00:12:33 But according to the lawsuit, she woke up to find her left leg missing. Her attorney says the correct leg had even been. marked before surgery. The hospital says its own review found the mistake was avoidable and that operating room procedures were not followed. Adding those involved are no longer in their positions and new safety training is in place. When I had to have ankle surgery and we're talking about a minor ankle surgery where they had to go in and put cadaver cartilage in place of a hole. So nothing like this. I went in and they said point to the leg with the ankle. I put my finger on the leg. They said, great, they marked that leg. They said, point to the leg again.
Starting point is 00:13:11 I pointed again. They said, I confirm it's the mark. They said, point to the leg again, and I pointed again, and they put a wrap on that leg. They said, point to the leg again to prove that we put the wrap on the correct leg. I did four points. They continued to check. There was a mark. There was a wrap.
Starting point is 00:13:26 There was everything. So they wouldn't work on the wrong ankle. How do you not do that when you're amputating a leg? That is insane. What do you mean you messed up? Do you just go in and go, I'm not sure, Sean? Ah, flip a coin. Pick one.
Starting point is 00:13:44 If for any reason you're not 100% sure, you go, hold up. Maybe we don't do this surgery now. And there has to be multiple people that mess up. She lost a leg. It's terrible. A whole leg. Yeah, that's crazy. I wonder what the lawsuit is.
Starting point is 00:14:00 Does she get the hospital named after her? Something. I mean, millions. Well, I would rather have money than a hospital. For sure, money. for sure a lot of money and the thing is she's not going to spend it really
Starting point is 00:14:12 not much of it she can die 15 years if not before that she's 75 years old 74 75 that's terrible that's a bad one I just don't know
Starting point is 00:14:22 how you can mess that up if it's like hey this happened in India I go like I get it I never been to India but I figure stuff that happens every Tuesday or something they do guess a leg
Starting point is 00:14:30 there's a new generation of male birth control this is what I want to say about this because this is pills and gels and all these things that guys can use for birth control to every woman out there don't trust him if he says he's on the don't trust him yeah what why is that why because he's lying just to just to you know and then maybe he's on because he doesn't want to have a kid but i wouldn't
Starting point is 00:14:56 trust us to be consistent with it to take the pill at the same time yeah every day for we don't have a cycle so for 30 days, 31 days, I wouldn't trust him. And then also, he will just lie so he can get what he wants to get. Dudes won't lie. I would not trust a dude. Y'all are not painting yourselves very well here. No, we really do. We make stuff up like because of that. Even y'all. But at one point, I know dudes. I know dudes. Yeah, I do too. So dudes are dirty dogs. It'll do anything to get the dirty dog. You know what I'm saying. Yeah. Yeah. And so they are. Good. I'm also happy scientifically this is happening where guys now have the option to take birth control because I don't think it's fair that only women have to do this and put this hormone into their body to affect their body and their cycle. So I'm glad this is actually happening. I'm just saying don't trust dudes. You know what, at anything. Screw just the birth control. Don't trust dudes at anything. Unless they have been so truthful for you for three years straight, don't trust any dude you've just met or know for less than three years. You're right about forgetting the medicine. Like I'm supposed to take allergy.
Starting point is 00:16:02 medicine every day? I forget all the time. And if your wife asked, hey, do you take your medicine today? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Of course I did. Because when I'm complaining about it, she'll go, well, you didn't take your medicine. But so I don't want to say I didn't take my medicine. Right. So I'm not feeling good even while taking the medicine.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Speaking of marriage, I don't know if this is breaking news or not. But it says kids hurt marriage. Makes it difficult. They add another layer. Absolutely. This is from the Journal of Personality and social psychology. Having kids reduces marital satisfaction. Thoughts, Eddie. I think that it does in the
Starting point is 00:16:41 sense of you wanting to be happy all the time in your marriage. Like it makes it difficult. It makes it more challenging. But at the same time, I think it makes it, it makes your marriage stronger because you work as a team to raise children. You? I think it increases your quality of life. But I do think it adds stress on the relationship. And depending on how you manage, that it can go one way or the other so I I think for the marriage it can end up hurting it because you don't have that same your whole dynamic is forever changed and so you've got to implement some new strategies to kind of keep your marriage going but overall I think people their life their quality of life they're happy to be parents like kids bring
Starting point is 00:17:24 quality of life that's a weird description because like our quality of life is not good we have no privacy whatsoever I think she means you're overall like you're happy Overall, like you created this human. Your net gain is probably a little higher because you had kids. I don't think about that one. Struggling with that one? Oh, Eddie, stop. You love your kids.
Starting point is 00:17:41 I do love my kids. But when you talk about having your week off, I'm like, God, a week off would be amazing. But would you rather have the week offs or not have the kids? No, no, I'd rather have the kids. Okay, then the net gain is you had the kids. Yeah, because I'll tell you, you do not want to have experienced my divorce. No, I know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:17:57 I'm just talking about the week off, not the divorce. You do not want that. Well, I don't want anybody to have to go through. Some people I do, because I don't like them. Oh, you left it to experience wars. Yeah. Yeah. I just think, you know, just not how I saw my life going.
Starting point is 00:18:13 That's okay. So, yeah, it's okay that it did end up this way, but I would rather have a family intact. My wife and I are in the stage now with a six-month-old baby. We're just now having enough air to start going. We should now start prioritizing each other more. Good. We're at that stage where we, again, we can come up for air just a little bit to go, okay, I think we now can dedicate time, just a little bit of time for us.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Because, you know, the first baby months, it's all baby all the time. And it's all her and what she's gone through physically and her hormones and she's postpartum. And we are now having those conversations of, okay, that season was insane. All of them are going to be insane for different reasons. but now we've got to get back to making sure that that cup is refilled. Because there was a while where we just didn't even address. The cup didn't matter. Our cup together didn't even matter.
Starting point is 00:19:09 We knew that though. We're all in. We're all in to make sure she felt good, especially the first couple months of the baby because the baby didn't know who I was. I was just a flesh guy. You're the dude that's just around. I'm just flesh. Yeah, I'm just flesh that helps mom.
Starting point is 00:19:24 Now Billy knows who I am. Billy is excited when I get home. All of that's true. So I'm coming from a different place, only six months in, but we're now going, we have to pay attention to each other. That's so healthy, though, because for a long time in our marriage, we just prioritized being parents more than being married until, like, I would say the last five years where we're just like we have to make time for each other because you can just be so involved in parenting and forget that you guys have a relationship, like a romantic relationship. Us going to therapy every two weeks and we have been since we got engaged. That helps a lot because he will say, what are you guys doing for and with each other? And then we'll have to go, oh, nothing.
Starting point is 00:20:06 But here's why it's nothing. It goes, great. When does something start? And then the conversation starts. So that's been a big, a big source of education and like positive reinforcement when we do things right, which is great. Yeah. So kids hurt marriage. That's the headline.
Starting point is 00:20:25 I don't know. Eddie feels like he didn't gain much. I know. This is so weird. I love being a parent. It's just, man, sometimes I'm like, I'm ready for this to. Shh. Let's go. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:20:34 I want to be empty nesters again. You're going to be so sad when they're all going. I know. You're going to be so sad when two of them are gone. You're going to be so sad when your first kid who's now thinking about going to, or going to college. I know. You're going to be so sad when he leaves. I know.
Starting point is 00:20:47 I know. You're probably right. More than $10 million worth of cocaine stored in a Fiji court as evidence was found to have been replaced with flour. replace. So it wasn't a straight steel. So they wanted them to see that it was still there. But it was replaced with flour. Wow. That is the ultimate. Because who knows for how long. More than $10 million worth of cocaine stored in this court in a long running drug trafficking trial has been replaced in flour with flour and yet another example of internal corruption. 32 kilograms of cocaine stored at the high court. have been sitting there earlier this month, they went in, they noticed that some of it was unaccounted for,
Starting point is 00:21:33 and then when they tested some of the other ones, it was flour. It was literal cooking flour. Where does all the confiscated drugs go? Like, where do they go? Into a closet. But forever and ever? I don't know if eventually you free it back to the person if they don't claim it.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Or if somebody doesn't, it's like lost and found at Walmart. I would like, do you just burn it? Do you like destroy it? Like, I feel like you can't just leave it in a locker somewhere because somebody's going to want to get it. Yeah, until the trial, once they're convicted, I think, is when you get rid of it. Okay. Because they've got to have the evidence. Well, what do you need to cocaine for evidence?
Starting point is 00:22:08 Why don't you take a picture of it? You're saying for years after. Like, it doesn't sit there forever. When are they what? I'm just saying, like, if, I mean, I guess if you've gotten everything you need from it, take a picture of it. Well, the people that did this are obviously inside. Oh, you can take all the pictures you wanted. You can lock it 10 times.
Starting point is 00:22:25 if the person that's doing it has all 10 of the keys to get through and is one using the camera to take the picture. No, no, I meant like take the picture and then destroy it. Like to Eddie's point, you got to get rid of it because... Well, you don't want to get rid of any evidence before the case. What are they going to do? What's the evidence? Dude, it's cocaine. Well, the lawyer from the other side calls him and goes, hey, that wasn't cocaine. It was actually flour. Yeah. And you're like, okay, well, let's get it. Oh, we destroyed it. Your Honor? Okay. All right. But we tested it right before we destroyed it. And it was cocaine. Yeah, that's a lot. That's somebody on the super. super inside. I saw a story where Andy Cohen is being ridiculed because he only pays his babysitter
Starting point is 00:23:01 $30 an hour. Oh, that's pretty good. Yeah, why is he being ridiculed? Because he's rich and famous. So? Okay. Yeah, so what? Who cares? We all still pay. I mean, he goes and pays the same price for gas, too. No, we should raise that as well. Well, my point is there's no dynamic pricing just because you're rich or famous. Exactly. Right. Concert tickets. You want to go to Morgan Wall and dynamic pricing. They're going to raise the prices. But do babysitters do that? Like, do they look at like, all right, I'm going to go to Eddie's house and babysit his kids. He has no money. So I'm going to charge him to this. I'm going to go to Andy Cohen's house. It would be a more qualified babysitter you'd pay more for. Like a
Starting point is 00:23:33 babysitter that was possibly a nurse or understand CPR. Like all those skills allow you to charge more for it. But he went on his show Andy Cohen Live and said he pays 30 bucks, an hour for two kids, babysitter comes, and then the internet went crazy. Good for him. The thing is, maybe the babysitter,
Starting point is 00:23:54 maybe they don't know he's famous. I know he's rich. When you walk up to the house, though, I'm sure they can tell. New York apartment, though, maybe. I mean,
Starting point is 00:24:02 it's probably... It's really nice. A top floor? Yeah. The national average babysitting rate in the United States, take a guess.
Starting point is 00:24:10 20 bucks. 15. 26, 24. Wow. That's the average. So he's even, well, he's just slightly above.
Starting point is 00:24:16 average. I'm surprised he does not hire an elevated babysitter. For me, it wasn't that he only pays 30 bucks. $30 is elevated. No, no, no. If the national average is 26, 24, it's not that elevated. It's up. $4. Like 13% or something. I'm surprised he doesn't pay someone who has all of those skills that's a nurse or that has been a teacher that charges more because they have more experience and more education. I think my biggest surprise is he doesn't purposefully seek out someone that was possibly like a child nurse. Is it because he's gay?
Starting point is 00:24:52 Like if I was in charge of finding a babysitter for my kid, I'd probably just be like, give me the cheapest. But my wife doesn't. My wife's like, no, no, no, we need a really good qualified one. But as a guy, I'm kind of cool. It's just like, that's 10 bucks. Great. Give me the deal. So what does this
Starting point is 00:25:07 sexuality matter? Two dudes. They're making the decision, right? Is he married? Yeah. I think. Is he? So like two dudes making the decision, they're probably like, Hey, cheap babysitter, let her rip. Oh, so they're just two, they're just dude now. Right, right, that's what I'm saying. So, by the way, two children, so I was a bit wrong with my information, two children's
Starting point is 00:25:24 2987 an hour. So he pays right at the average. Oh, gosh. So he's not married. I know he has a new dude. I saw him step out on the carpet on my Instagram. Oh, really? Yeah, a couple weeks ago.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Yeah. So I don't know. He's been in a relationship with some guy for about a year. Yeah. I'm just saying my wife is more particular with our kids than I am. So I'm thinking like if a dude made the decision Let's go for the cheap babysitter My surprise is that he just isn't seeking out someone though

I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really truly love the game. I found the love with the ball at my foot. But in my head, it was the long game. It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox. I'm going to go get some reps and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it. Starting point is 00:40:30 Oh, God. Eddie is our winner. He retains his championship. That is, uh, Eddie wins his 14th championship. 14? Good job. I don't have any more fingers and toes from my rings. Wow, wow.
Starting point is 00:40:42 Eddie's a champ. This guy's written so many songs and made so much money writing good songs. I was talking with Ryan Hurd. Now, he's also an artist himself. Okay, what five songs have made you the most money? Here you go. You've written so many songs, so many successful songs for people. If you had to go one through five, the songs that have been the most successful for you lucratively, what would they be?
Starting point is 00:41:08 Number one. Heartless. Morgan Wallin and Diplo Heartless. Number two. Jordan Davis, what my world spins around. I'm not surprised because that was a massive song. I'm surprised it, too. Surprise it's that high.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Okay, well keep going. Okay. There's so many. But there are. There are. I know this makes you uncomfortable. Number three. Jordan, I don't know, man, that one.
Starting point is 00:41:30 Number three. It's a big one. Oh. What if I never get over you? Lady A? Man, that's still such a good song. It stuck too. Like the ones that make, I hate talking about this.
Starting point is 00:41:41 I know. That's why I'm asking you. But that's not, anyway. That one, it stayed. Like it stayed. People still play it. And I heard it at Walgreens like a week ago, and that's how you know, did it's a song that everybody knows. Walgreens has been good to me.
Starting point is 00:41:56 Number four. Sunrise, sunburn, sunset. And the number five, most lucrative song written by Ryan Hurd. Only because it's been out the longest. You don't have to justify anything. I also haven't, I didn't bring my accountant either. That's okay. Lonely Tonight with Blake Shelton and Ashley Monroe.
Starting point is 00:42:13 I'm going to say that one. Even though I don't know, I'm going to say that one. but that was a two-way some of these other ones are three four ways like with writers that was a two-way me and Brent Anderson
Starting point is 00:42:24 so I didn't have to split the money as much You're making excuses You're making excuses for your success You're making excuses for your success Okay That's the most That's the humblest thing you could do
Starting point is 00:42:31 To hear that full interview Go search for the podcast The Bobbycast With Ryan Hurd Or you can watch it on Netflix You can watch us talk If you want to watch us talk It's there too
Starting point is 00:42:43 But really great Love Ryan Appreciate him for coming on the show I hit that. Good morning, Bobby Bones and the cast. I want to let you know that because you guys talked about Barth Brooks concert, that every ticket was under $150. My husband and I went to the concert Friday night over in Orlando.
Starting point is 00:43:03 What a show. Best entertainer I've ever seen in my life. Thank you for the heads up. And thanks for having entertainers out there who are not afraid to lower their ticket prices so everybody can enjoy the show. Bye-bye. It is a great show. best. And also it's crazy that we now go, man, it's less than $150. I know. That's reasonable.
Starting point is 00:43:23 Isn't that wild? The tickets just cost that much. If you get a chance to go to Garth, go, I did see that there was a show in town here where Lowell Wayne did the show. He didn't show up to 1130. At night. And what was it scheduled for? Probably nine. It's whenever the headliner goes on. But he didn't go on until 1130. That's crazy. How long? How long? would you wait for a show? If you're going and the headliners, you're supposed to show up at 9, when do you think you're leaving? 10.30?
Starting point is 00:43:55 I mean, and I'm hoping they have entertainment of some sort as we wait. Well, with Lowell Wayne, they kept bringing out a DJ and everybody kept thinking it was Lowell Wayne, but I think they just kept waiting for Little Wayne to come out. Right. It depends on the day, right? Yeah. Like, if it's a Saturday, wait a little longer.
Starting point is 00:44:12 So you're going just a hard 1030. Hard 1030. You? Man, if it's Saturday night and it's Garth Brooks, Pearl Jam, I can go 1 a.m. You're out of your mind. I go 1 a.m. No way. There's no.
Starting point is 00:44:27 You're just sitting there. Drinking. Even worse. You're passed out by 1. If the show is supposed to go on at 9 and they're not on by 10.15, I think I'm walking. Yeah. It doesn't matter who it is. Also, how rude.
Starting point is 00:44:43 Just to the people that are there that you don't even care about your people. Yeah, what was Lil Wayne's excuse? Did he have to give one or not? You don't give an excuse, right? He just gets out there and performs. Yeah, I don't think you apologize. You just go out and be like, Amilly, Amelia, Amelia, Millie. You ever been to a show where the person came on really late?
Starting point is 00:44:58 No, no, no, not at all. I mean, there was my daughter or my kids, they were at the Taylor Swift one where it kept getting delayed here because of weather. And they stayed the entire time, and they got home so late. And it was a school night. But that was worth it. But it wasn't Taylor's fault. I saw a story too where Rod Stewart's doing his final concert and then he's retiring. I just don't trust that anybody's doing their final tour ever.
Starting point is 00:45:22 But I think he's like really like can't do it anymore. Doesn't matter. Doesn't matter. Frankie Valley's not supposed to be touring either and they're playing a voice singing over him right now. Yeah, he just stands there. George Strait did the cowboy rides away and he's still playing. He rides away a lot. Alan Jackson, he did his final.
Starting point is 00:45:39 You think he's coming back? I think he may do a couple shows. I don't know that for sure. I now don't trust anyone when they say it's their final tour. I'll trust when they're dead. They're not coming back. And even then I'm waiting for a hologram. I'm going for a hologram tour.
Starting point is 00:45:53 I feel like they try to hang it up and then they either get an offer that's too good or they just miss it because it's what they know. All they've done their whole life. Yeah, that's a good point. It's time for the good news. Tell me something good. We have Brandon on who lives in New York. Hey, Brandon.
Starting point is 00:46:12 Hey, how are you? Morning studio. Morning. Tell me something good, man. Something good. So I went to the Brantley Gilbert concert on Saturday with John Morgan. And I did the meeting green with Bradley Gilbert. And I let him know that I was a Purple Heart recipient.
Starting point is 00:46:29 And I was with my daughter and my wife. And during the show, two ladies gave me their front row tickets, not knowing anything about myself. But we ended up in the front row. And Brantley Gilbert actually called me out. He stopped the entire show, did an entire thing. called me out, said thank you, said that all sorts of nice things about the military, and he just didn't have to do that.
Starting point is 00:46:51 And I just wanted to give a big shout out to his entire camp because they're just incredible people. John Morgan took pictures with my daughter, gave her a signed set list. She got about 15 guitar picks and a drumstick. Wow, what a story. I mean, I think everybody did great there. So how did you got those front row seats and those women gave them to you without knowing that you were a Purple Heart recipient? Yes, I had the six. row seats already. And I think
Starting point is 00:47:16 something happened with the two women and they seemed a little upset, not with me, but just in general, something happened and they walked out and said, here's my front row seats. Go take those. I'm leaving. And I was like, whoa. Hold on. Two women got so mad at something. They just left and they
Starting point is 00:47:32 were in a fighting. Were they fighting with each other? I don't, I honestly, I don't know, but there was front row and it was the aisle seats. It was the best, literally the best seats in the aisle. See because one time, a concert, my friend got in a fight with her husband because of Riley Green on stage. What?
Starting point is 00:47:49 Because my friend was like, I think he had too much to drink and she was like going crazy about how hot Riley Green was. And they got in a fight and I could, they, it was really bad. So like, I'm just saying fights happen at concerts. Yeah, but in the front row they don't. You don't leave some front row seats. Wow. They had second row.
Starting point is 00:48:09 Sixth. No, I'm saying my friends. They were up front. But they didn't leave. That's what I'm saying. You don't leave if your seats are that good. The husband did. Oh, she stayed.
Starting point is 00:48:18 Well, hey, Brandon, on many levels. Yeah, Brantley's awesome. John Morgan's great. That's so nice. They were able to do that for you and your family. And also to you, like, we appreciate your service as well. I don't know how much you talk about it in general, and I'm not going to ask any questions that feels invasive at all.
Starting point is 00:48:34 But I really appreciate you. And thank you so much for serving. Absolutely. Thank you guys. I appreciate it. All right, there he is. Brandon. So he gets a time.
Starting point is 00:48:43 Tell Me Something Good, Brantley, John Morgan, and the women who maybe got in a fight and gave up their front row seats to Brandon here. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Fun Fat Friday. The first three digits of your Social Security number cannot be... Uh... Zero, zero, zero.
Starting point is 00:49:08 Incorrect? 9-1-1. Incorrect? Oh. The first three... digits of your social security number cannot be 666. Correct. It's banned.
Starting point is 00:49:19 You don't want that. There you go. That's my first one. Amy, you're up. People who travel to see the vibrant leaf colors of fall are called? Money wasters. You know, this is the time of year they come out. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:33 Oh. Leaf peepers. That's creepy. That's weird. That feels dirty. I'm a peeper. I'm a leaf peeper. Show me your leaf.
Starting point is 00:49:41 I'm here to peep. They'll often travel. travel great distances to capture photos and videos of fall splendor. Popular destinations include New York, New Mexico, and Aspen. It is beautiful. When the leaves turn. Are you a peeper? I just don't want to be called people for any reason.
Starting point is 00:49:57 I wouldn't call myself that, Amy. When an inmate on death row is executed, the official cause of death on their death certificate is homicide. Oh, somebody killed. Really? Really? Crazy. Not death by execution or? No, actually not. Homicide would be it.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Is the person that injects them? Are they the killer? Is it their name? Listen to it as killer? Guys, I got a fun fact here. I don't have all the context around it. That's not that fun, but you get it. Lunchbox? Benjamin Harrison was the first president to have electricity in the White House, and once he got an electrical shock from a flipper, so he'd leave the lights on at night because he was scared to turn him off. I bet that was scary back then, you know?
Starting point is 00:50:41 Electricity's new. You also got shocked. Don't want that again. Somebody probably died from that. I mean, you don't want to touch a stove twice. Once it burns you, you don't touch it again. It's on. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:51 All right, Eddie. So male goats, they pee on their own heads and beards and front legs to attract women when they're in heat. How do they pee on their own heads? I googled this because I want. I want each other. No, no, no, no, no, themselves. So they stand, picture them on four legs, and they pee so hard. and they dump their head down.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Dude, I had the same question. They build up the pressure, but they hang their head low so it hits them in the face. They literally pee on their face. We should try that. No, we're good. I'm all right. The 14 stadiums in America
Starting point is 00:51:24 with the highest capacity are all college football stadiums. It takes until you get to the 15th stadium to be an NFL stadium. Wow. And then that's the one in New Jersey, which is where the Giants and the Jets play. Meadowlands? But the Metalien.
Starting point is 00:51:40 MetLife's Eddie? Oh, MetLife. Yeah. The biggest 14, not pro, all college. So does that mean college football is bigger than the NFL? No, not particularly. No. Just curious.
Starting point is 00:51:53 I didn't know. But what do you think? No. I would have guessed an NFL stadium. Just in the top 15 or so? Yeah, yeah. The world's smallest mammal is a bumblebee bat. They're 29 to 33 millimeters in length.
Starting point is 00:52:10 I don't even know what that is. But it's a bat, not a meat. It's pretty tiny. And they only weigh two grams. I would assume it's pretty tiny. I mean, I would assume it's not massive. It's the smallest mammal in the world. Right.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Yeah. What the heck? All right, there you go. Fun fact Friday. Fun fact Friday. All right, and now the morning corny. The morning corny. Why don't scare corny?
Starting point is 00:52:40 Eat. Why don't scare crows eat? They're already stuffed. Nice. That was the morning corny. All right, birthday, go ahead. Hi, Bobby Bone. This is Iri. I am 12. And I have my birthday coming up on October 2nd. And I was wondering if I could get a shout out because I listen.
Starting point is 00:53:05 On my way of school, I listen to your show with my dad and sister. So I was wondering if I could get a shout out, and I've heard it from you guys before. So I hope you hear my message, and I'm turning 12. Bye. Ari, we heard it. Happy birthday. I hope it's the greatest birthday that you ever had, and hope you have a great day at school. It's called Don't Lie to Me. I'm Lexi
Starting point is 00:54:45 Yuwanu. We're two best friends, 22 years apart, but so close at heart. And I'm Lisa DiGulio, the old one, which means we have wildly different references, occasionally different opinions, and at this point in my 50s, I've lived it all. I'm not going to get any of your fighting. That is wild. I learned that about you today. Now in my 30s, being the founder of new shoes, Good taste is my business, and I've always got something to say. If men were just honest about this, there would be so much more peace in the world. We're going to talk about dating, relationships, beauty, getting older, and a little wiser. We're best friends, but we don't always agree.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Because you told us how accommodating you are. Obviously, I would do what I think I could do to fight the fight, but there's only so much fight I can fight. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Don't lie to me. Liar. Listen on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I don't really care. If anyone wanted to commit a murder, up here would be the greatest place in the world to hide the body.
Starting point is 00:55:56 But no one will find it. He acted friendly. He talked friendly. He sounded friendly. They all knew that I did the scary boogie stuff, and they said maybe she'll find out where this girl is. I saw him violent. Backhanded a bow. And that's exactly what made us all think he had something to do with it.
Starting point is 00:56:21 The clock is ticking down and the woods are calling. There are a lot of demons in Putnam County, but I've met the devil and he's real. I'm Paul Solitara and this is season two of the devil's quarry. Listen to the devil's quarry, season two on the eye heart. Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. And to hear The Devil's Quarry Season 2 ad free with exclusive content, subscribe to Lava for Good Plus on Apple Podcasts. I'm former U.S. Women's National Soccer team player, Carly Lloyd.
Starting point is 00:57:05 I'm Fox Sports Reporter Jenny Taft. And on our new podcast, whatever it takes, we're talking motherhood, marriages, careers, and figuring out how to balance it all. And we'll discuss the game that brought us together, because nothing is off limit. Do you remember your initial reaction when Fox called you to be a part of the World Cup? I was like, no, I don't want to do it. You said no? I played with players that didn't, I don't think that they really, truly love the game.
Starting point is 00:57:31 I found the love with the ball at my foot. But in my head, it was the long game. It was like, I don't care what I'm being asked to do at Fox. I'm going to go get some reps, and I'm going to learn it and love it and embrace it. He said, this group of people will never be in the same room as part of the same team ever again in your life. And it is your job to make sure that you enjoy the moment. You're proud of what you accomplish together. Listen to whatever it takes with Carly Lloyd and Jenny Taft on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:58:06 All right, hit it. My daughter is 12, and she tried out for a play. And she's in choir, and she tried out for. for a solo and she didn't make any cuts unfortunately. And she's really good. I was wondering what advice for classes you would recommend for her. She's kind of sad and definitely loves music. And she sings all around the house.
Starting point is 00:58:32 Love you guys. Big fan. Bye. What advice would you give? I don't know that I have anything for her specifically. No, don't give up. The greatest singers went on all these shows and didn't get picked. I mean, you can go Marin Morris, Hillary Scott from Lady A.
Starting point is 00:58:51 They all went on American Idol or the voice. Morgan Walla went on the voice. Oh, because they got rejected and they didn't give up. I mean, yeah, that feels encouraging. I guess I was just thinking of literally my daughter last week telling me she now wants to be a singer. Oh. And what you tell her? We need to focus on the work we have.
Starting point is 00:59:11 Oh, wow. I don't like that advice. Interesting. I know, but there's not, it's not, like, I don't want to be a dream crusher, but it's not possible. To your. To my daughter. But you also didn't want your son wrestling. But that's not, well, that's because he's an excellent runner.
Starting point is 00:59:29 What's possible, though? Okay, but, all right, you see Cardi B in concert once doesn't mean you're going to be Cardi B. Okay, so that's sort of the trajectory of that. So we need to focus on a career and what we're going to do with our, lives. Now, I guess it's just truly how good is this person? So what I would do is I would just encourage her to keep going. If she's only 12 years old, she physically isn't even to where her voice will get her. Not the same as a boy whose voice changes from this to this. Yeah, that's true. But you still have some room to grow at 12 years old. I just have her keep singing. I don't know,
Starting point is 01:00:05 like, class is, let her be disappointed is the first thing. Like never try to talk anyone out of their disappointment. Always walk with someone through their disappointment. I'm sure that sucks. You didn't get anything. You're 12. You auditioned that you're super vulnerable when you audition for anything. And then you don't get it. So it's okay to be disappointed. And ask her specifically what she'd like to get better at. And then if you can't afford like a lesson, a lot of people can't. You can find specific things on YouTube to walk you through and teach you very, very specific parts of vocal or acting or stage presence. Do that. And then just keep going. Just keep going. Because everybody great was told no. So, so. so so many times. Unless you're Amy's daughter, then stop immediately. No. I guess that's why I, in this moment, didn't feel equipped to say anything because I was instantly thinking about how I just crushed my daughter's dream.
Starting point is 01:00:57 You know, like, those are the times where you're like, why do I even give advice to anybody? I know nothing. And I think that's what makes you great at giving advice. But that's just me in this moment. Catch me on another day and I might have been like, all right, here's what you do. but guy just parenting's hard.
Starting point is 01:01:14 Yeah. Celebrate the little ones with your daughter. Find out exactly what she wants to work on. Help her work on that. Encourage her. Let her be the person
Starting point is 01:01:23 that says she doesn't want to do it anymore unless yours just kind of came out of nowhere with your daughter. I get it. Yeah. And she's not 12. There you go.
Starting point is 01:01:31 19 and starting towards a career. There you have it. Great. Okay. Thank you. Call us anytime. 87777 Bobby. It's time.
Starting point is 01:01:41 For the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. David Cummings held a lemonade stand to fundraise for veterans because her dad served in the Army. She's only five years old and this is her second year doing it. Only problem is on year two, there was a lot of rain. But she didn't let that stop her. She opened up her lemonade stand in the rain and doubled her donations from last year.
Starting point is 01:02:07 And donations are still coming in because the story spreading since she braved it the rain. Yeah, she can have all my money. If I drive by and see a kid and eliminate stand in the rain, raising money for a good cost, have all my money. I'll be back. I'm going to go to the bank and get more money and I'm going to bring you more money. Yeah, she's specifically benefiting honor flight Syracuse. They work with veterans and again, donations are still coming in after the stand even closed, which I think is super cool. That's a good one. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead.
Starting point is 01:02:38 Norrie of the day. This story comes us from Nassus, Virginia. A man was driving his motorcycle going 75 into 25. When he got pulled over, police said, hey, man, what are you doing? And he was speeding? Why? Probably he had diarrhea, or he's going to get food, or he's running from the law, and he admits he's running from the law. And they're like, oh, you're the one we want.
Starting point is 01:03:05 It's one of those. Hit it, Ray. Let's move it a little quick, wasn't I? Way too quick. I was trying to hit the McDonald's breakfast. I only have socks on. I was brushing. I woke up. I can see you were rushing. 72. It's way too fast.
Starting point is 01:03:17 I was going to 72. You got the registration fee? Oh, my. What did they stop? How did it be one of the three? 10.30. 1030 is the time? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:25 Yeah. It's tough. That's tough. You're right. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. All right.
Starting point is 01:03:32 Hit it. Hey, so I just wanted to comment on the police issue where they were stopped at the red light. And I would say he probably did you a favor. I am a firm believer in the burnt toast theory. If you're waking up for breakfast in the morning and then you burn your toes and then it offsets everything else for the rest of your day because you have to go to work and whatnot. But it prevents something bad from happening. You weren't meant to leave at that time. Also, I wouldn't have honked.
Starting point is 01:03:58 I mean, here's the ticket. Yeah, I didn't honk. I don't subscribe to the burnt toast theory because what if I would have honked and he would have gone and then I would have pulled up and someone sees me and goes, well, we should give that guy a million dollars. but I missed it because I was hanging back there behind the car. Yeah, but then what if the million dollars would end up ruining your life? What if, I don't it. I don't it to animal shelter, though, and then they got all the money. I'm just saying you can create so many scenarios on what didn't happen, and it's easy to go,
Starting point is 01:04:22 well, maybe it wasn't supposed to. Maybe it was supposed to. I don't really live in maybes, but I just didn't want the ticket. And most cops said, not all the cops said, no, we wouldn't give you a ticket. Yeah, right. Yeah, right. If I'd have honked at that cop, you know he'd even eyeballing me. Boob!
Starting point is 01:04:41 All right. Next one. Hey, guys. Wondering, when are we going to get an update on Eddie's testosterone? I'm asking because he sounds so much happier these days. So I'm wondering how he feels in the morning. But just hearing him talk about how nice it is to go on a date with his wife on like a Monday or Tuesday. I can't remember.
Starting point is 01:05:04 And then talking about going on a pleasant walk with his wife at the baseball field, I'm feeling like he's doing a little bit better. So can we get that update? Thanks. Yeah, I mean, as far as everything I've said and how I feel in the mornings, I do feel a lot better. I haven't gone and got my blood test yet. That comes in a couple of weeks, but I'll let you know when that blood test comes in.
Starting point is 01:05:26 But if I were to give you a result based on how I feel, I think I'm doing well. But that has nothing to do with any work you're putting in. Because you haven't been consistent with the work. It does. It doesn't been consistent. But I mean, if I cut. No, that's the key to it is being consistent. To change something in your blood, that's not doing spot work.
Starting point is 01:05:44 But if I'm doing... I mean, Lendon here. I don't know how to talk sense into this man anymore. I am. If we can't even call him that. Oh, man. Oh, ma'am. Or man or man or man.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Amy them fighting words. Go ahead. Like, if I went from zero squats to a hundred, I'm improving. What do you mean? A hundred, though. Total. You know what I mean? Like, if my doctor wants me to go in and do squats every week, like, that's
Starting point is 01:06:09 impossible. No, it's not. Yes, it is. You know, you do need to do squats every week. And also even the squats, if you did it nonstop, it could possibly do so little you wouldn't even notice it. Because squats alone aren't going to, it doesn't matter. I know, it's like squats. I know. He doesn't want to do the work and he's finding reasons that him not doing the work still allows him to get better by occasionally doing the spot work. But what of the little work that I'm doing is working? Like this caller says. If it has working, it's not the little work that you're doing. Do you think overall he seems happier? No.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Oh, you guys don't think I'm happier? I don't think you're sad. I don't think it's the same. Oh, dude, I was down. The testosterone? Maybe it was the result. It could be summer. It could be seasonal.
Starting point is 01:06:49 The weather. I hope it's better, but it's not because of the work. If it's better, it's because of some other part of your environment. Okay. But we'll see. We'll have the results and that'll settle it. I hope it's so better. Me too, dude.
Starting point is 01:07:01 Me too. And then you can stop doing squats. No, no. That's what happens. As soon as he gets better results. He's like, I'm good. That does happen. Now you've got to keep it up.
Starting point is 01:07:08 Okay. One more. Hey there. I'm not sure if this is a question or a comment, but I'm thinking about the Friday morning dance party, which I love, love, love. I think I could utilize that good energy on a Monday morning. Have you ever thought of a Monday morning mix-it-up dance party?
Starting point is 01:07:26 Sort of set the mood dance party? Just a thought, love y'all. We've done those occasionally. A lot of our stations have problems anyway with the Friday morning dance party to be honest, they've always had problems with it since I started it 20 years or so ago doing it. So Friday's good, I hear you. It'd be easy to do it on a Monday. It'd be fun. Save us some work. Nice. Save you guys some work. I still do it. We've done that before or you have called it's like a pop-up.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Yeah, I'll pop up occasionally. Pop-up dance parties. I hear you. I know. I just don't want to deal with the headache of people pushing back on me. Don't play Notorious B.I.G. on a country station. Oh, it's the kind of music you play on it? Yeah. Yeah, yeah, for sure. I appreciate that,
Starting point is 01:08:10 and I agree. So that's not me saying I don't agree. I do agree. Unlike Eddie's testosterone situation, I don't agree. Oh, you don't agree. I do agree with you, though.
Starting point is 01:08:19 Thank you for the voicemail. You guys can hit us up anytime. All right, hit it. You said anytime you go out with friends, you always pay. My question is, what about if you go out with Andy Roddick or Ronnie Dunn
Starting point is 01:08:34 or even Ryan Seacrest, if that ever happens. Who pays when you go out with people like that? Just curious. Thank you. Good question. Is it? A really good question. So the last time I went out with Ronnie and his wife, Janine, I paid. So it's two things. One, you sneak it? No, I don't have to. Demand it. I got this one. You get the next one. But then I do that every time. So it's two things. One, if I'm with my people, I'm like, guys, I got it. Let me pay for it because I got it. And if I'm with people that are like those people that have more, I want to prove that I got it.
Starting point is 01:09:11 So I'm like, I'll get this. So yeah, it comes from a place of security and insecurity, depending on who I'm with. I've never been to a dinner where anyone had to pay with Ryan. We've been to things where there's a lot of people there and somebody else pays. But I have with Ronnie and I have with Andy, but I think back when I'd go dinner with Andy, Roddick,
Starting point is 01:09:28 he paid because... You're so rich. Yeah, and I was just... figuring it out. But you didn't have to prove anything? Like you didn't want to prove I can do this? No, because there's no reason to lie. Yeah. No, when it was with him. So that's a fair question. Sometimes when I go, when you and I go eat, you know, like if we're to sit down, Bobby pays. But sometimes, like, if we're just getting salads and I know it's only going to be like 15 bucks, I'll get it. This kind of makes me feel good a little bit. Hey, Bobby, I got this. That's true. That's true. I appreciate that. Put yours out there on the counter.
Starting point is 01:10:04 Yeah, I can appreciate that. Hey, call us anytime. Thank you so much for listening. We will see you Monday. Goodbye, everybody.
