On paper, the three hosts of the Nick Dick & Poll show are geniuses. We can explain how AI works, data centers, but there are certain things. things that we don't necessarily understand. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes.
Starting point is 00:02:06 Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. But hey, no one's perfect. We're pretty close, though. Listen to the Nick, Dick and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:02:26 How's it going? Good. Yeah? Yeah, you? Fine. I finally got sleep last night for the first time in four days. I don't normally sleep well, but I had extra long bouts of being awake. I woke up a couple times last night, but finally got a little sleep.
Starting point is 00:02:42 So, yeah, pretty good. I went to the physical therapist yesterday because I had surgery on my ankle, did all the things, was on a scooter, was in a boot, was on crutches, did all that. I've done everything right as far as the rehabilitation of my ankle. And so I went to my surgeon. He's like, you can not get on it. walk a little bit, you can jog a little bit, and then I go to where I do my physical therapy and they put you in this machine, and it's my first time on the treadmill, and they kind of blow you up.
Starting point is 00:03:13 It's like a harness that lifts you up, and there's a bunch of air, and it limits how much impact you put on your leg. So it was like 50, 60%, whatever it was, because they can take off a lot of your weight. And I feel this crazy electric shock in my foot, not from any electricity, but just from the pain. So I have to stop. And I'm convinced I re-injured my ankle. So I went back yesterday for the first time since then. I don't think I re-injured it, but it's still killing me. I didn't get on the treadmill, but they, like, did a physical therapy massage into my foot and my ankle.
Starting point is 00:03:43 It sucked. Is it just painful or is it that hurt so good painful? You know how- It's not hurt so good painful. Oh, that sucks. And I think the good news is it's not in the bone. And what I've learned about this is when you injure something, obviously, your whole foot or ankle, it all suffers because you, you're just not using it for months and months.
Starting point is 00:04:03 So probably it was super tight. I don't know. But I didn't have a good day there yesterday because they were just rubbing the crap out of it. But hopefully it gets better. But that was my day yesterday, pretty much. I had dinner. You want to do what we had for dinner last night? Really?
Starting point is 00:04:16 I like this. You really want to play that again? It's fun. You didn't. No dinner. Oh, I didn't even think about that. Yeah, Eddie's fasting here. But I'm having a blessed day, by the way, though.
Starting point is 00:04:25 Good for you. Are you cranky? No. Today should be the day where it starts to be really bothers. No. No. And I didn't have a hard time sleep. sleeping. My wife was like, you're going to have a hard time sleeping because you're going to be hungry.
Starting point is 00:04:34 Nope. Slept like a baby. Oh, that's good. So I don't know, dude. The pains have come and gone, the hunger pains, but like, overall, I'm really not craving food. Cross my fingers. I did watch Founder, you know, last night, the McDonald's movie, which I'm like, why am I watching? There were burgers and fries all over the screen. Kind of tortured myself a little bit. Why did you choose that? I don't know. It was just on Netflix. And I was like, I've never seen this movie. People have talked a lot about it. it. Great movie. Is that the one with the...
Starting point is 00:05:02 You did like it? Yeah. The guy that went and ate all the burgers or... No. No, no, no. That's a documentary. It's the founders of McDonald's. You're thinking of a supersized me, I think.
Starting point is 00:05:11 That's what I was thinking of. Yours is actors. Yes. Not a documentary. Yes. Oh. About the history. There's some dirty stuff that happen, right?
Starting point is 00:05:20 Yeah. Like some, you know... Like, they're the guys that started McDonald's, and then there's the guy that made McDonald's huge. Yeah. He, like, took it, right? Yes. I only kind of know. the surface part of the story, not from the movie,
Starting point is 00:05:33 just from hearing about it. Have you seen the movie? No. It's a really good movie. It is. Yeah, Michael Keaton's in it. Batman? What'd you have for dinner last night, Amy? Salmon, sweet potatoes, and salad. Pretty healthy, pretty balanced. Lunchbox? I had leftover pizza from Saturday night. Eddie had nothing? Hold on from Saturday night. That's a week old.
Starting point is 00:05:55 Not quite. Thursday. Last night was Thursday. Yeah. So five days. Is that bad? That's old pizza, dude. No, I understand it was old, but the kids and my wife had the leftover pasta with vegetables in it. And the kids and wife ate it also. I went for the pizza that was from Saturday night that we had people over and there was pizza in the fridge. At least it wasn't rice.
Starting point is 00:06:18 She's still concerned I'm going to die from the... That'll kill you. Rabbit rice, Amy told me about it. No. I'm just saying people, doctors on TikTok, they say there's one food I won't ever eat leftover. It's rice. I think your algorithm's just feeding you deadly rice. I don't have those doctors.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Ask your assistant. I'm good. She's tired. It's too early. Now she's tired. She's tired. I ordered Kava last night. Yum. I love that place.
Starting point is 00:06:46 My wife will cook some. Then sometimes she's like, hey, I'm going to cook. And then she just gets a weird, like a hankering for something else, random. And she goes, I just want some kind of Asian dumpling. So she ordered that. That sounds good. And then she says to me, you're on your. your own, every man for himself.
Starting point is 00:07:02 And so I went and ordered Kava. And Kava's like, I don't know, salads. Is that Greek? Yeah. So had that last night. The last time that I ordered that, they brought all those drinks, all those cups with no drinks in it. You never talked about that.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Yeah, I did. Oh, dang. I think that was. I did. I said I ordered Uber and they brought me three empty cups in the bag. He ordered three drinks. And like, who would just bring cups? I thought that was private.
Starting point is 00:07:27 No, no. It wasn't. We talked about it more later. Okay. Oh, we did talk about it more later because that's some other thoughts. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But yes, we did talk about it. Do you remember me talking about it?
Starting point is 00:07:37 Yes, I do. So anyway, when I ordered last night, I ordered three drinks again. Because they had three drinks I like. Got it. I understand, no. And you actually got the drinks. Well, I wrote on there, there will be cups. Please fill them with the drink.
Starting point is 00:07:51 There are three of them. I will tip you handsomely. I wrote it all out there. And I got three drinks last night. I was pretty excited about it. Because I said my food to your moment of truth, will the drinks be there? So dumb. And I opened it and the drinks were there.
Starting point is 00:08:05 I was like, oh, thank God. Thank God. So that was last night. Yum. Now you're making me want coffee. I can tell you when my family had, had Chick-fil-A looked really good. Yum. Chick-fil-A always looks good.
Starting point is 00:08:19 And it's. For every meal, breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Chick-flay is always good. So good. Then my wife is like, oh, you can't make me feel bad for eating around you because she says I've been doing that for like years. She's been trying to fast and I've been like cooking good food around her. And I guess I've just been a little insensitive towards that.
Starting point is 00:08:37 You know, and she pointed out yesterday. She's like, oh, you can't say anything now about our Chick-fil-A. You know, speaking of Chick-fil-A, something that I thought of when I picked mine up the other night. So I went through recent orders, like sometimes the sauce hasn't been in there or whatever. And my son, yeah, and my son really loves the Chick-fil-A sauce. So anyway, I feel bad, because they bring it out to you. now sometimes instead of just like handing it through you to the window they're like right there at your car and they're like Amy and then you're like oh thanks and they stand there and I want to look to double check that's everything and I feel so guilty looking in front of them do y'all? No we do it every time you check the bag and you're like okay I felt so weird he kind of was looking at me like yeah it's all in there man like duh and I'm like okay I'm just checking and I'm like why do I care well you've probably just been burned a few times and it not be in there I know but why do I care if he knows I'm looking.
Starting point is 00:09:31 It's almost like I felt bad like I didn't trust him. If it's not in there, do you guys just say screw it? Like, it's gone. Depends if he's still there. If he's still there, I'm going to say. No, no. Say like you leave, right? Like the way we do it is...
Starting point is 00:09:43 I don't go back. It's not worth it to me. For sauce, no, but if like a whole meal... Like a sandwich is missing, yeah, you go back. Yeah. Yeah. What a sandwich? A whole sandwich be missing there?
Starting point is 00:09:52 Yeah, it happens. I've never ordered enough. Yeah. Because you're ordering for six. Six people. You would order for four or five, six depending on what's with you. Right. I'm ordering for one or two. Yeah, so you're probably so I know if there's only one. Yeah, I can usually tell. It's a small order. But that's what
Starting point is 00:10:06 I'm saying. And it doesn't have to be Chick-fil-A to meet any drive-through. It's like I, something in me is like embarrassed to check in front of them. Like I'm, I'm like, oh, y'all are about it your job. I don't trust you. I'm having no look. And I'm like, why do I care? Well, they probably also know who they work with. They get it. Yeah. Yeah, they know their co-workers. They're like, Steve Bryant didn't put that in there. Stevenson wants to get a job at Chick-fil-A. Like, he wants to go, a fly. He's like dead set on it. It seems like a lot of good kids work there.
Starting point is 00:10:34 We have Chick-fil-A's. We have Waterburgers now. We have In-N-Out now. They've opened three of them around here. And one of our friends went to In-N-N-Out and got through. It was like 3 o'clock on a Saturday. It was like no wait. Because usually it's like an hour wait. It has been because it's been new. Has anybody been through the In-N-Out here? My son went. Not me. Not me. Nope. What was the weight? He said it was about an hour. When we went through, we didn't get. in but we asked what's the way they said hour 45 and then I posted a video about it and people
Starting point is 00:11:05 just go inside idiot it's quicker but it was cold and the line was out the door and I'm not going to stand even if it's 30 minutes I'm not going to stand outside and freeze yeah and I hate not anybody to do it but I'm not going to wait hour and 45 minutes I've had it a bunch of times just being in Vegas or being in California and it's good but I didn't know if you guys had hit it up yet but man you guys made me want chick-fil-a for lunch the problem is for lunch the line's wrapped around the street the one near here but it goes by real quick That's why fast. They are so efficient.
Starting point is 00:11:32 And then I get up to the counter or the person. There's no screen and they're like, okay, what do you want? They're just standing there looking at me. I'm like, I'd like to see a menu. They were there with a little tablet. I'm like, how confident are they that they now know we don't even need to give people a menu. Yeah. They do good with the two lines though.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Yeah. Like the two at one, two at once. Okay. Amy, round the room. You're up. All right. So the outage this week from Verizon. I suffered it.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I was still suffering yesterday. I suffered from it as well. Yes, because people kept calling me and kept going right to, like, it rang for like a split second and go right to voicemail. Oh, I didn't have another issue. I don't think. However, we still don't know what caused it. The FCC is still looking into it. They're continuing to actively investigate because it disrupted like critical response systems.
Starting point is 00:12:18 China. Probably. Yeah, there's still no like explanation. Like it's one thing for our phones to be down. They know. Trust me, they know. But like a critical response system? like that's like emergency communications.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I know. Guess what? Verizon is issuing a $20 credit to everybody that was impacted. I got the text. I rolled my eyes. What? You didn't click on it? It's 20 bucks, dude. I got the text.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Did you get the text? I don't think I got the text. I just read the article. Well, I read the article. Then I got the text. It's like, we should, here it is. Valued Verizon customer. Yesterday, we let you down.
Starting point is 00:12:52 For that, we're truly sorry. We'd like to extend you a $20 account credit that can easily be redeemed via the link below. on average this covers multiple days of service this credit isn't meant to make up for what happened but it's a way of acknowledging your time and showing us that you mattered to us i didn't get it i like how you're reading it i didn't get that if you're still having trouble connecting please restart your device power down power back on and redeem your credit take action mobile actions all i have is a can we talk now question mark from some from horizon no i don't know they're
Starting point is 00:13:22 upset with you no but i don't have that so maybe they're just rolling it out like maybe they're not texting everybody call me At once? Just call me now. I bet they are rolling it out because don't they have like a billion subscribers? I don't know. You think there should be a button you hit and it goes to everybody. It's America's largest network.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Okay. Yeah, stupid. That's what they said. You're stupid. I'm sorry. Pretty idiot. That's what they said in the article. So I was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:13:45 I mean, whatever. You have to go into the app and get your $20 account credit, but. Yeah. It just gives me a link. But if you'll hit. I'm calling you. Okay. I just want to see if it rings.
Starting point is 00:13:55 Nope. Whoa. I'm going to try you one more time. Sometimes I call my son and it doesn't go through the first. Wait, are you sure you're not, do not disturb? I'm positive, because it shows Amy for one second and then it goes back off. What if I needed to get a hold of you? Hey, we call Amy, see if hers works.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Yeah, call me. Well, I think so because Ben just called me and it worked. No, but it's about my phone. Oh, are you talking about it for her phone or for my phone calling? Okay. You ready? I'm ready. Stand by.
Starting point is 00:14:24 You're going to be rocked by this. Here you go. Failed. It didn't work. It didn't work. That's why they were offering you $20. It's not. working. I see you pop up and then you go away.
Starting point is 00:14:34 And now I have... No, and it's going, doon, doon, do. Yeah. Well, we're going to need more than $20. Exactly. Let me try to call Amy. See if Amy. Amy would probably work. What network does Ben have? Because he just called me. What network do you have, Eddie? It's working.
Starting point is 00:14:49 It's working? Yeah. Why are you asking if we know what your ex-husband has is network? Amy, that's me. I hung up. I know. What do you have? I don't have Verizon. Okay, see? So, yeah, you have AT&T or what? Yeah. Okay, so that must be what Ben has because that's why it's working. Do you want me to call you? If we can't talk Verizon or Verizon, yeah, but you can't. Black Box is calling me. Well, I have Verizon. It's calling you Verizon. So it works. So it's just your phone, dude. Yeah, maybe you need to restart your phone. Oh yeah, maybe this is a Bobby problem.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Yeah, that's what I'm saying. I never restarted it. I just got the text. Try the reboot. 20 bucks. I get to it later. Bobby's like, I don't mind not being reachable. Yeah, I don't really answer the phone anyway. I did try to make a call yesterday. and it didn't work and I was like thank God and I got to blame it on the I could just always use that power outage as a reason I didn't talk I got a call I got a text going hey can you talk something timely and I was in my car and I was like no
Starting point is 00:15:41 I said I'll be home in five though on a FaceTime FaceTime audio because I could use that on internet yeah what an excuse That's perfect but your text works because we texted Let me try to call you now I just rebooted it Wait you just said you weren't going to reboot it But I did
Starting point is 00:15:59 He couldn't resist I changed my mind. Okay. I have the authority to change my mind. You're like, I'm not rebooting it. And then when you said that, you actually did it. Well, I had already... Classic Bobby.
Starting point is 00:16:11 So you, dude. I wanted the out. In case I didn't decide to go there, I wanted to not have... I'm not rebooting it. He wants to do it on his own time. That's what my wife says. She goes, if I tell you to do anything, it doesn't matter if you want to do it. You won't do it.
Starting point is 00:16:24 It's so dumb. Yeah, I think you just felt that in real time. Yes. Okay. Are you calling? I'm going to go here. Okay. The reboot works.
Starting point is 00:16:35 It was a reboot. Good job. We fixed it. Ben, what's the last time you turned your phone off? 19703. The year? The year was 1973. Okay, so it works now.
Starting point is 00:16:47 Good old reboot. Good. Yeah, 20 bucks. I don't feel like that's enough. But think about them, though, dude. If they have all their subscribers, they got to pay them 20. I mean, most of them probably will be like you and be like, I'm not getting 20 bucks. But if they had to pay everyone 20 bucks,
Starting point is 00:17:01 bucks, that's a lot of money. That's a lot of money. There was also, this happened recently with the company, and you had to get your money back through logging in and... Was this the Apple recall? It was like a... The AT&T one? Was it?
Starting point is 00:17:16 Somebody had a big one too recently, and it was like, whoa, sorry about that. Just log in and redeem, and you'll get... It's like, you're making this jump through hoops. No, it was YouTube. It was YouTube TV because that's when they lost Disney for like, I don't know, two weeks. And they were like, well, credit your account.
Starting point is 00:17:31 60 bucks. Yes. All you gotta do is log in, play this puzzle game, beat it. Prove you're not a robot. Get to level 17. Yeah. So half the people won't even log in. Yeah. But I don't feel like 20 bucks is enough. Thanks for the update. No problem.
Starting point is 00:17:48 Do you see the update on the killer, the dentist? The surgeon that killed the dentist and his ex-wife? No. He had been, I gotta find that. This is your story, Amy. I thought you were on it. Yeah. This is your beat. Guys, I'm moved on. It is your beat. It is your beat.
Starting point is 00:18:03 And I don't know if I have it here, but I can kind of go from it. He had been, and his family had said they were making threats. Oh, I got it. From people. The family of Spencer T-E-P-E. I think that's the guy, right? Says they're not surprised with the arrest of Michael David McKee in connection of the killings of Spencer and his wife, Monique. Monique had been vocal about McKee's alleged emotional abuse during their brief time they were married.
Starting point is 00:18:27 McKee's facing aggravated murder charges. Spencer's brother-in-law, Rob, tells people that Monique had been very vocal about the alleged emotional abuse inflicted on her during their marriage. McKee allegedly threatened Monique's life many times. He said Monique had told him about the abuse. The alleged threats were verbal in nature, People Magazine.
Starting point is 00:18:48 Gosh, that's terrible. That's why they were not married very long at all. Which I wonder if he hid, like, how he was before they got married, because I have a friend, she dated a guy for over a year. Then they were engaged. And he was like a dream. You know, not like so perfect that he's perfect,
Starting point is 00:19:05 but she had adopted kids on as a single person because she didn't know if she would ever get married and she was a foster mom. And then she ended up adopting her foster kids. So for her, finding a partner seemed difficult. Then she ended up finding him and like we all couldn't believe it. And she was so happy. Right after they got married, it's like he flipped.
Starting point is 00:19:27 And he was a totally different person. and they're divorced now. But I was talking to her about it and she was like, Amy, it was crazy. I never saw these sides of him until the marriage was final. And it was almost like he knew her heart and then like divorce wasn't an option
Starting point is 00:19:42 and like that it's like he could no longer keep up the act or the charade of like this amazing guy. And then he was like, finally I can relax. And she's like I'm going to manipulate her. And what's crazy is too, she was able to like get into his YouTube to see what kind of videos he was. he was watching and stuff, and he was literally watching videos on how to manipulate.
Starting point is 00:20:04 Dang. So anyway, they're not together anymore because, yeah. He's studying. How to manipulate. How long were they married? Shout out to him for a lot. They were not long, not long at all. Mastering his craft.
Starting point is 00:20:13 He underestimated her. 10,000 hours. Really taking it in. Yeah, a lot of times that stuff does not manifest itself until there's adversity. And that's how and why people will react that way. But sometimes they know they have to hide it or they won't get the desired outcome. and then once they have it, it's allowed to come out. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:31 Wanted to. A lot of times, you know, abusive people aren't abusive unless there's adversity. And adversity can be just something they see as adversity, like not getting what they want so it comes out. Yeah. Well, this was just getting the, almost the, something about the marriage certificate, like, made him think, like, okay, now I can just act however I want. And that's final. And I can be myself because she'll never, I've got her. And then he also, you know.
Starting point is 00:20:57 He was watching videos on it. That was one of the craziest parts. She was like, it's crazy that she knew his login stuff. So she started logging in and doing her own research. So on the nose. She felt like she was losing her mind. And, you know, had he been successful with some of the manipulation, which he was for quite some time, but had he continued to be.
Starting point is 00:21:16 There are creators that just make videos on how to manipulate people. That's crazy. Check them out. What's going on here? Look in their computers. Yeah. Yeah. What do you do?
Starting point is 00:21:28 I'm an influencer. What do you influence? Well, I teach people how to manipulate other people. Really? Want a date? Dude, that's a crazy niche. Wow. Yeah, I just admire her.
Starting point is 00:21:38 Like, she's so bright. Like, she had to do a lot to, like, piece it together. I'm sure. Because someone like that, yeah, makes you think you're the crazy person. I think my wife is still waiting to see if I'm not perfect. But I got news for her. I am. It's been a while, dude.
Starting point is 00:21:53 I still am. I think she's like, you're, it's. this is so perfect. Like I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and I'm like, baby, it's always like this. She checks your computer. It's like how to be perfect. How to remain perfect forever. For the one you love. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.
Starting point is 00:22:21 Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. Starting point is 00:23:28 I'm going to have cookies and milk them all. Yeah. It's Financial Literacy Month and the podcast Eating While Broke is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum Pierre as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up.
Starting point is 00:25:29 If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything. But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids.
Starting point is 00:25:52 They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to eating while broke from the Black of the Black of the United States. Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Eddie? So one of the co-founders of Oracle, he has a huge yacht, like 190. Ellison? Yeah, Ellison.
Starting point is 00:26:15 He has a 190-foot yacht, right? And he named it Izanami. Yeah, it's like I'm a Nazi backward. Yeah, so he didn't know that when he named it. It's like some Japanese mythical thing or whatever. And so he named it Izanami. and then somebody was like, dude, if you spell that backwards, that says, I am a Nazi. And he was like, oh, no, so he changed it immediately.
Starting point is 00:26:37 Well, the question is, did he get called out for it and act like he didn't know? Oh, is that the question? Yeah, I mean, I don't. I mean, I think it's just a name, right? If you're going to name it, something like that, don't you kind of know everything about it if it's not your own language? Man, I don't ever think of reading a word backwards and see what it smells. It's like, what's the one that would... But I think you don't even know that word unless you're learning about the word.
Starting point is 00:26:58 Right, which is just a Japanese, it says it's a Japanese mythology name. Yeah. Like it's like you were to name your boat Thor. And backwards it's rot. Rot. Rot. You know, and it's like, dude, it's still rot, dude. You can change that.
Starting point is 00:27:20 And then he's just like, oh, I got to change that. That's not good. Yeah, I hear you. I just think somebody that smart doing something so public, someone would step in and go, hey, you know what that is, right? But it's not what it is. It's just spelled backwards. It's a mythical.
Starting point is 00:27:37 Yeah, it's she who invites a major primordial goddess responsible for creation, death, motherhood fertility. Like, because honestly, I would never look at, I'm writing out a zonomy, a zonomy. But you don't, the word is not natural to you and it's from another language. so I think you would probably look into the meaning of it more than you would just an English word that you know without looking at it backwards. The meaning, yes. Spelling it backwards?
Starting point is 00:28:04 No, I don't think I would ever do that. Yeah, if I looked at the meaning, I'd be like, oh, a mythical creature. And it sounds cool. Is it a meaning or is on a me? I hear you. Maybe I just... I believed it. And I just thought he was like, well, man.
Starting point is 00:28:15 I don't believe anything, no. I'm such a cynic. I don't believe anything. It's easy to be now. I'm very cynical all the time. When we named our boat, I named it race car, and then I didn't even know, but people were like, you know what,
Starting point is 00:28:25 that backward is? And I was like, what? They're like, race car. And I was like, I'm out of here, man. That's the one I was looking for. Race car. Race car, the one that's the same forward is backwards. What's that called? Onomatopoeia? No. It's synonym. No. So, onomatopoeia, isn't automatapea? Bang, boom, bang. It's lunchbox during any given story. And a synonym is, you can do it. Not to be confused with cinnamon. Synonym. I know what cinnamon is. I remember synonym is like the same. Well, that's the same. No, synonym it means something the same.
Starting point is 00:28:58 You're thinking backward and forward to palindrome. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Pallendrum. Yeah, what you mean you read it? Yes. Yeah, a palindrome. Oh, is that how you say it, palindrum?
Starting point is 00:29:07 It's backward and forward. That's a tough one. Palindrome. Palindrome. A man of plan, a canal, Panama. Oh. That's what I named my other boat. Someone said, do you know what that is backward?
Starting point is 00:29:21 I said, what? A man of plan, a canal, Panama. Ma. A big one. It's the same forward and backward. You figuring it out? I'm trying to. A man. Other little ones. Radar. Radar. Wow, that's crazy. Level. Dang. Yeah. Yeah, dad. That's a small one. That's a short one. Yeah, that counts. That's all I got. I'm sure there are other fun ones. That's all I got. I don't get the, I'm very confused on the man, a plan, a canal. wrote it all down. A man, a plan, a canal, Panama. Oh, Panama at the end of that? Mm-hmm. If you read that backward, all that, it's the same. It's the same. Wow, that's crazy. It's not crazy because they put it together to go backward. Yeah, because no one ever said a man. I don't think that's like the national saying of Panama. And they're like, can you believe it's backward? Okay. I think people were trying to find one. Okay. And you read it backwards?
Starting point is 00:30:23 Hey. Oh, man. Panama, dude. Never odd or even. Whoa. Wow, yeah, that's crazy. Who came up with these? Like, people just sit around me like, all right, what can we say? At this point, you probably type it in chat, GPT. Oh, yeah. My wife, though, what's crazy is she can just see how, if you say a word, she sees it in her head and she can spell it backward easily. That's amazing.
Starting point is 00:30:48 Because she can see it. It's like on a piece of paper. Yeah. She's done that on social media before. If I'm like, uh, quarteroy, she'll go, I don't know how to spell that normally. I'm like, oh, let me change it. Running. And she'll go.
Starting point is 00:31:00 GNN. And just look at it. Yeah, it's even hard for you to do it. It's tough. All right. Next story. Lunchbox. Yeah, I mean,
Starting point is 00:31:08 the political landscape is changing in Austin, Texas. My girl from 16 and pregnant. Then teen mom. Miss Farah Abraham had announced she is running for mayor of Austin. Except. Except she didn't realize the mayoral race was not until 2028. She thought it was 2026. Well, she was on TMZ and they had to tell her.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yeah. She was like, oh, I can't wait. you know, get out and vote. And they're like, Farrell, I don't think it's this year. I think it's in 2028. She goes, no, no. I called the office. They said 2026.
Starting point is 00:31:38 I think she thought because the midterms are coming up that that's every election. Right. So did she still register for the 2028? I'm not sure. But her platform is family planning for all. Modern Workers Act. Your home, your dreams. Veteran bridge program, support where you need it.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Safety and policy first. and senior housing ATX cares. Now read it backward. Panama. A man to Planet Canal, Panama. Man. So, yeah, I mean, obviously she's not going to win, but good luck to her. She blocked me on Twitter years ago, so we don't really see I die.
Starting point is 00:32:18 Really, who uses Twitter? I do. I know, but back in the day, she blocked me. Yeah. But your Twitter has also been hacked and doesn't exist anymore. It's gone. It's gone. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:27 You guys like it died. I did. It died. I got an email saying that my account on... What's the grocery account? Instacarp. And it came from the blue check mark. The email Instacart with the blue check beside it in email, meaning it's been verified.
Starting point is 00:32:45 And it said someone has spent a bunch of money, like 600 bucks on Instacart. And what made me look out of twice was it came from the checked account Instacart. Then I got another one. It said somebody has spent 500 bucks. And so I look at my credit card and there's nothing spent on it. But again, it came from Instacart with the checkmark, which meant it's been verified.
Starting point is 00:33:08 I did nothing, but I kept watching my account. And if anything on my account, I check my wife's as well because even though our credit cards in the same account, it's two different numbers. It's two different cards. Nothing. We logged in our accounts, nothing. And I got an email from them again going, hey, sorry about that. that's from our account, but if it said that somebody was... They hacked their account?
Starting point is 00:33:33 They didn't say that, but yes, I think so. Whoa. It almost clicked into it. I don't know what would have happened if I would have clicked into it because it was actually from the account, but someone hacked into their account. So I wonder what they wanted because they didn't steal money. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:33:49 Well, right, and let you know about a recent spam email you may have received that appeared to come from Instacard. It may have claimed there was a charge in your account and directed you to call a phone number or address the matter. We want to be clear this message was not legitimate. You can safely disregard the email. So they must have hacked and put a phone number in to call because it was from the checkmark Instacart account.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Wow. Got a really good one yesterday too that I almost fell for because they're getting better. It was from I have a Robin Hood account. And it's just a numbers game because I get a bunch of other ones too that I don't have accounts there and I go, that's easy spam. And the Robin Hood account said, hey, you've been hacked. clicked this and I was like oh god really and so now I was so close to clicking it
Starting point is 00:34:30 I didn't yeah they're getting really good yeah they're getting really good I got another text that said are you home and I was like ah it's Judy again I still get like I probably gotten five of those since Judy now they just fire those out I get them my wife gets them you do yeah I just so I have the one that can we talk now yeah that's one that's what that was a random
Starting point is 00:34:52 I have no other texts with them before can we talk now? Just respond to go, yeah, call me. Area code 332. The health benefits of jumping up and down every morning. I'm surprised it's something you haven't been on yet. Oh yeah, no, I jump. Every morning?
Starting point is 00:35:10 Some mornings I have my little mini trampoline. Those who get health advice from TikTok may have seen a recent trend of influencers recommending jumping up and down 50 times to start your day each morning. Oh, he set her up. It's going to be like, it doesn't do anything. He set her up. No, jumping on the trampoline is good for your lymphatic system. Any social media health advisors have little to know actual expertise in the advice they
Starting point is 00:35:31 espose. That's true. So actual experts were asked about it. They say it can build bone density. It can build muscle. Well, you're jumping up and down, right? How high are they jumping? It promotes lymphatic drainage.
Starting point is 00:35:44 There we go. Circulation can be improved if done consistently. And it's a good way to wake up. So obviously anything you're doing where you're moving your body is going to be beneficial. So, yeah, keep doing your thing. Keep jumping, Amy. On the downside, those with a weak pelvic floor, lunchbox. No, mine is too tight. Not weak. Or issues with their knees, ankles, feet, or history of stress fractures, me might want to try something lower impact.
Starting point is 00:36:09 Well, they must be jumping up and down on the floor, though, because a little trampoline is low impact. You know, because it's not the hard floor that you're impacting. So I get that. But also, when I jump, I'm like, oh, I got to go pee. Dude, in the morning, I can barely walk. How are you jumping? You can barely walk Oh yeah On my way to the bathroom I'm like oh everything hurts
Starting point is 00:36:28 It's tight It's tight But eventually you get loose After I get out of the shower Probably a little looser You take a shower every morning Every morning Helps you wake up
Starting point is 00:36:38 Cold or hot Who takes a cold shower See it's a hot shower But I know I saw something on TikTok I don't remember what they said But they're like A cold shower
Starting point is 00:36:47 Yeah Because the hot is So my skin gets really dry and there's this rash on my chest that will show up if I take too hot of a shower or if I use scented soap. So now I have an unscented bar of soap and cold showers. But guess what? My chest is fine. Wow. I tried cold showers for a week. I had a similar experience. I tried cold showers and I found them to not be beneficial because of my mental health. I dreaded them all as soon as I woke up going to it and I didn't like it while I was in it. And I didn't find really that
Starting point is 00:37:20 it did enough to counteract all the negative I had pre. Yeah. Well, mine has been beneficial for my skin. And I also, I feel like, I mean, it's miserable when I'm in there, but I feel good when I get out. And I'm like, okay, let's go. But. I feel good when I get out of the warm shower or the hot shower. Yeah, no.
Starting point is 00:37:36 I mean, don't get me wrong. I miss that. But my skin, especially in the winter, it's just hot water. Sometimes it's worth it. Fails me. All right. You guys want to take a break? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:49 I feel like I could do a break. My pelvic floor is... They do some jumping. Come on, Bobby. Transmitting. Welcome to Friday show. We got a big one. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Morning. Easy trivia. The category is opposites. I'll give you the opposite. You give me the opposite. Something like that. What's the opposite of cheap? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:38:22 Expensive. Correct. Amy, what's the opposite of Right. Wrong. Correct. Or left. Both would have been accepted.
Starting point is 00:38:29 Oh. Wow. Lunchbox, what's the opposite of night? Morning. Simpler, simpler. Day. That's fine. That's fine.

Starting point is 00:38:51 All right. So that's how easy trivia works. Eddie's wearing the tiara. Eddie has four points. One more. He's the champion. Amy does have three. Morgan has one point.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Lunchbox still zero points, not on the board. The category is household appliances. If you miss it, you'll hear this sound. You've been boned. Eddie, ready. Ready. What household appliance is a Roomba, a robotic version of? A vacuum cleaner.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Correct. Amy, a curag is a single-served version of what household appliance? Coffee machine. Correct. Lunchbox. A Nutra Bullet is a compact version of what kitchen appliance? A blender. Correct.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Morgan, a Swiffer Wetjet is a simplified version of what cleaning tool? As if a Swiffer Wetjet would be a mop. Correct. The next category is? Starting point is 00:40:38 that is home to iconic monuments, including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington monument? Two words? The category is two word answers. I know. What's the name? Well, you said, in my mind, it's like I just have one word, but does the count as a word?
Starting point is 00:40:56 Or is that not it? No, that won't be a word. It won't be a word. What is the name of the long grassy park in Washington, D.C. That is home to iconic monuments, including the Lincoln Memorial and the Washington Monument. Gully, I've been there. Why can't I think of this? I've got like mall in my head.
Starting point is 00:41:12 Yeah, five seconds. Why can't I think of this? The mall, the mall, Washington Mall. I need an answer. I'm so sad. What is it? Washington Mall. So close.
Starting point is 00:41:29 Just, you guys know it? The grassy malls, what I thought. The national mall. National. You've been booed. Did y'all know that? No, that's tough, man. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Lunchbox, just a quick boat ride from the Statue of Liberty. What's the name of the island in New York Harbor that processed nearly 12,000 million immigrants? 12 million immigrants, excuse me, the United States. I'll read it again. Just a quick boat ride from the Statue of Liberty. What's the name of the island in New York Harbor that processed nearly 12 million immigrants? Staten Island. You've been boo.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Definitely a famous one. That's a famous one. You guys know that one? Yeah. Ellis. Ellis Island. Remember? Morgan.
Starting point is 00:42:12 Morgan. Yeah. If you get this right, you continue the game. If you don't, Eddie wins and is the champ. Oh, man. I hope so. Okay. You'll get it right, Morgan.
Starting point is 00:42:21 Which French Cathedral, Morgan, is famous for its flying buttresses. Butchresses. I don't know what that is. This sounds promising. And stained glass, and it suffered a major fire in 2019. Oh, Notre Dame. Yeah, Morgan, let's go. It's an external archstone support in Gothic architecture.
Starting point is 00:42:42 Did you guys know what a fly buttress was? No, no, no, no. I'm sure if I'm saying that, right? Is that where the hunchback was living? Technically, yeah. I got to visit it when it just reopened. That's the only reason I know that. Animal continents.
Starting point is 00:42:55 Eddie and Morgan are left. What continent is home to the kangaroo, Eddie? Australia. Correct. Morgan, what continent is home to the zebra? Well, we have zebras here, but we're not home to them. I think home to them is Africa. Is that your answer?
Starting point is 00:43:15 Yes. Correct. Eddie, what continent is home to the panda? Think about this. Chew on bamboo. What continent is home to the panda? Five seconds. Got it.
Starting point is 00:43:31 It's China. Oh, he's a continent. The panda's a... Oh, my gosh, Asia. You've been Bo. Let's go. I'm an idiot. Hey, give her a hard one.
Starting point is 00:43:43 Come on, dude. I only have one left, so it's the one that she gets. Oh my gosh. Morgan, for the win. What continent is most famously home to penguins? Antarctica. Winner. Hello, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:44:14 My girlfriend and I have been together for about two years. Overall, it's been great. She makes her living through social media and has made it clear. she never intends to make our relationship visible online. She's just posting about it could hurt her engagement and that people especially men are less likely to interact if they know she's taken. Because of that, she doesn't post about me.
Starting point is 00:44:31 I don't want to control her or interfere with her job, but it makes me feel like I'm hidden or I'm being treated like an inconvenience. Am I overthinking this or is it fair to want to be acknowledged? Signed, the secret boyfriend. I for sure would have my feelings hurt here. Yeah. I think if you're her real person,
Starting point is 00:44:48 she just has to pivot on the content she's making. And also, we have enough data from the 90s to know that boy band members only had girlfriends, they weren't less desirable. Because that was the thing back then. It was like, oh, you can't have Justin to have a girlfriend because girls won't like them as much. Or the Beatles. Even from the 60s, yes. So unless she's like a only fan.
Starting point is 00:45:11 Yeah, like what is her? I'm assuming her content is not that, but if posting it's a whole thing, hurt her engagement with men. Bro, maybe we need a new girl. If she's not doing racy content, there's no reason that she can't have you or at least acknowledge you occasionally. Or she doesn't have to avoid you
Starting point is 00:45:32 because that's what it sounds like she's doing. So, one, it's not really going to hurt her content. If it's about dudes, dudes, dudes ain't going to care if she has a boyfriend or not. As long as every post is not with you in it, dudes aren't going to care. Secondly, she's just going to have to modify her content. going to do that her whole life when you can engage, get married, have kids. She's still the single
Starting point is 00:45:53 naked baker or whatever she is. I don't know what she is. Yeah, I would say something needs to change. There needs to be a plan for things to change because that's not fair to you. What are your thoughts? Yeah, no, I'm totally with you on that. That's what I was thinking the whole time of like how yet that would hurt me. And I'm like, okay, what else are you hiding? Yeah, she has to consider you in this. And like, why is it, whatever it is, like, why are you making money off of being single? I mean, I guess you can, but once you get into a relationship, like why would that change what you're able to do? Unless it's dirty stuff.
Starting point is 00:46:23 That's what I mean. But I think you would have said that, right? That's got to be dirty stuff. You think so? I think you would have said that. What else would it be? Anyway, I think her completely avoiding you is unfair to you. I do.
Starting point is 00:46:35 I think it's completely unfair to you. And I think you guys should have a plan for her to at least acknowledge you occasionally if it's hurting your feelings because your feelings are more important than whatever's happening overall in the grand scheme. That'd be my advice. So, man, if she's on like only fans. He would have said that in the email, though. All right, good luck, buddy.
Starting point is 00:46:53 Close it up. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'll say it. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.

Starting point is 00:50:54 A guy in Florida stopped traffic because there were two toddlers wandering in the middle of a busy highway. So he stops his car, thankfully. Everybody's honking because why are you stopping the car? And so he gets out of his car, there are the kids. He got them back in the car, drove him back to where he thought they were from. There's a gate open. This is him telling the story. I was terrified.
Starting point is 00:51:16 If anything would have happened to him, the rest of my life would have been ruined. So I immediately pulled over and I ran out of the car and one of them were going to the middle of the road. And I grabbed that one first and then the second one I just picked up. She was ready and I got him off the road. I already kept on a young girl and I, you know, immediately they went into like, oh my God, we're so sorry. And I was like, yeah, no, I'm just glad I could get them back to you. And they were out in the road and your gate was open. The family had no idea they'd wandered off.
Starting point is 00:51:46 Luckily, they didn't get a bike car. Like, thank God this guy was there to see them and stop and grab them in time. Also, the news had to get them on a highway. Just to hear all that. Just to hear all the cars and hear what could have happened. Like, stand as close as you can to the highway, sir, so we can really show. That's from sunny skies. Amy, your thoughts?
Starting point is 00:52:05 It's just terrible and scary. Hopefully, like, this will be a wake-up call for them to implement some sort of plan to make sure the kids can't get out again. Those toddlers start to get away from you, though, right? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. One of mine would get out a lot, but we don't, luckily, we don't live by a busy highway.
Starting point is 00:52:22 What do you mean get out? What would happen? He would just go out the door. We wouldn't even know. We'd be like upstairs or whatever. And then he would just kind of open the door. And then he ended up in a neighbor's house. Like the neighbor would come over and be like, hey, he came over to my house.
Starting point is 00:52:34 And what do you think when the neighbor shows up with your kid? Again, here we go. I told you not to do that, but they don't understand. So what do you do then? Just make sure all the doors are locked. So it's about locking? Yeah. And then we had, I mean, with all our kids, I think we had an extra layer of,
Starting point is 00:52:47 like lock in the doors where there's like the actual door handle lock which that's how he would get out he would twist the little knob but then you have the one on top and then you can add like like a hotel lock like that remember when lunchboxes kid just ran all the way across town after a sleepover that was a sleepover he went down he woke up at six o'clock in the morning and decided he'd had enough and packed his back how old he's set just seven just turned seven and decided you know what I'm out of here didn't tell anybody. They were all still sleeping. And he went downstairs, unlocked the door, closed door, put his backpack on.
Starting point is 00:53:22 And he walked home. How far was home? 2.2 miles. That's amazing. Saturday morning, 6 a.m. And we can laugh because everything was okay. Yes. Yeah, and he talked to people on the way.
Starting point is 00:53:33 They said good morning. He said good morning back. It was a little backpack. Hey, hey, Frank. Hope you have a great weekend. So what do you guys say to parents that are just coming into the toddler stage? Just be vigilant. Look around, you know?
Starting point is 00:53:47 And like if you have a door or a gate or something that just comes open easy, yeah, secure that. But that's with everything. Drawers, electrical outlets, you have to babyproof your house. Yeah. It happens. Like it's going to happen. Like you can do whatever you want. Like toddlers find a way.
Starting point is 00:54:03 You think you've locked everything. They find a way. Through the deadbolt, they're going to see you open the deadbolt. And so they're going to learn how to open the deadbolt. So your advice is what? A higher up. You're good, man. There's lots you can happen.
Starting point is 00:54:16 It's going to happen. So just to be prepared. So it will happen. It will happen. So, I mean, there's no need. Like, baby proofing is so overrated. Like, we do this baby proofing and all this and we go through all this. And it's like, give me some advice.
Starting point is 00:54:31 I'm about to have a baby. Go ahead. Dude, just keep an eye on your baby everyone as well. And when you don't, it's going to fall down. It's going to maybe go down some stairs. It happens. Go down to stairs or fall down some stairs? Oh, fall down.
Starting point is 00:54:43 fall down, roll down. He's making it sound less. You lucked out that nothing bad happened. You're right. But I mean, there's no way to stop everything. They will survive. They're not, they don't need to be put in bubble wrap. They're not porcelain.
Starting point is 00:54:58 They're okay. So basically you're saying S happens. Yes. That's your advice. Yes. S happens. So don't just like, don't freak out. You just have to hope it's not, the result isn't tragic.
Starting point is 00:55:09 Just put it. That's his advice. But I'm just telling you, on your first baby, you're going to lock up everything and put, you know, underneath the sink where they're like, yeah, yeah, yeah. And the second baby, you're like, here's all the toxics. Hey, leave the bleach open. Leave it out. No, 100%. By the third baby, you're not putting that lock on the cabinet.
Starting point is 00:55:26 No one, you don't even care about it. You're not covering up the plugs on the wall. So then why do it even for the first if you know eventually you're not going to get in third? They don't do it. The first one, you think you have to do that and you realize, that's just stupid, an extra work. No need. No need. Don't need to do those plug-in covers?
Starting point is 00:55:40 No. Oh, my gosh. Hey, don't touch that. Got it. I mean... All right? You want my advice? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:55:47 Baby proof your house, dude. No, no, I just got great advice from lunchbox. Baby proof it. No, now I'm torn. Now I'm 50-50 in the middle. I don't know what to do. I'm going to start. There was a game of roulette in Monte Carlo,
Starting point is 00:56:04 August 18, 19, 13. The ball fell on black 26 times in a row. Now, why that's crazy is, gamblers kept sticking money on red because it can't keep landing on black but it kept landing on black 26 times in a row gamblers lost millions
Starting point is 00:56:22 expecting it to land on red oh man I feel's fixed to me but I don't know but 26 times in a row is crazy but then everybody's like well it's got to hit red eventually they just kept stacking money on it but really it really doesn't
Starting point is 00:56:38 it can just keep landing on black One has nothing to do with the next. That is true. Amy, yours. The ice cream we see in ads, it's actually mashed potatoes. Oh, that's cool. That's what the food photographers use to keep it from, you know, melting losing its shape. Wow.
Starting point is 00:56:55 Yeah. So next time you see ice cream and ad, be like, ah. Oh, and it also doesn't melt. That's a good point. Uh-huh. Yeah, it's a good point. Lunchbox. Thadius Kalanowski wants a restaurant manager.
Starting point is 00:57:06 He watched the hangover and he's like, I look like that guy. You know what? I'm quitting my job. I'm going to move to Vegas and you can rent me out. And he started making $250,000 a year acting like the guy from the hangover. He looks just like him. What guy? Galfanakis.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Yeah. Oh, is that Galvanakis? And he looks so much like him. He was his stunt double in Hangover 3. Wow, that's cool. Just like him. And also it's the beard and the hair. Like a lot of that can mask if the faces, it looks just like him.
Starting point is 00:57:36 Yeah, it's a good one. The spots on cows are unique like human. fingerprints. Cows never have the same pattern of black and white spots ever. So once you have that cow, you can always tell if a cow stolen because they're exactly the same. That's pretty cool. Like it's it, there's only one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Eddie? Okay, camels have three eyelids, two normal hairy ones. This is for each eye. And the third is like a transparent eyelid that keeps them from getting sand in their eyes. Oh, that makes sense. So it's like a porch screen? Yeah. Just to keep the bugs.
Starting point is 00:58:10 Exactly what it's like. Oh, dang, that's crazy. Nimrod only became another word for idiot because of Bugs Bunny. He called Elmer Fudd and Nimrod. But Nimrod is actually a biblical character who's referred to as a mighty hunter. So initially, Nimrod was, hey, he's a hunter. But people took that because he was, since he was calling Elmer Fudd that, he must be an idiot. So that's where Nimrod comes from.
Starting point is 00:58:32 And that's why we think of it as an idiot. Is that also a Green Day song? That's an album. Oh, an album. Yeah. Morgan. The oldest your mom joke was discovered on a 3,500-year-old Babylonian tablet in Iraq in 1976. What did they say?
Starting point is 00:58:50 Your mom's camel has a third island? No. Take that back. It was in reference to like a hookup, I believe. Here, let me give you the full rundown. So the tablet, which has now been lost, that there's photographs of it, it says it translates to like the punchline was not your mom, but it was saying of your mother is by the one who had intercourse with her. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:59:12 And so he was like talking about your mom. They went hard on your mom and joke back on the tablet. I wonder if the tablet was like a joke book. A joke tablet? With a bunch of different jokes on it. Fun fact Friday. Amy was offered a reading from the Long Island medium because she's coming to town. Yep.
Starting point is 00:59:32 Do you think she should do it? Yes. I do too. That'd be fun. Oh, see, I was thinking, I don't really know how I feel about it. I don't believe it, but I still think it'd be fun. I know, but I was going to offer it to one of y'all. No, why?
Starting point is 00:59:46 Because I started to think about it. And for me, like, I don't know. It just doesn't. When? What day? Monday. What time? Evening.
Starting point is 00:59:54 Let me pull up the email. Why are you asking? You think you're going to do it? I'd do it on a podcast. That's what, so that's sort of what it is. She is coming out with a podcast. So she's always had her show, and then she's launching a new podcast. Do you want to book her mom?
Starting point is 01:00:09 Mike? Yeah, that sounds cool to me. I would like interviewer and then I take a reading. I can't believe you don't want to do that. Again, I don't believe it. So it wouldn't be like, I can't wait. I don't even know. What's her name? Sally Struthers? Teresa Caputo.
Starting point is 01:00:22 Yep. And that's, so that's the new, it's a new video podcast called A Reading with Teresa Caputo. Oh, is she wanting to put you on her podcast while she does it? That's what, she's going to be in town. She's coming to town and it's going to be on
Starting point is 01:00:37 the launch of her new podcast. It's going to be on her podcast. Yes. And you're cool with doing the whole reading. I would want to do it on my podcast to promote her podcast. Right, right. But what if she... Well, we just get it over to Mike.
Starting point is 01:00:51 Well, I'll see what. Yeah. What if she was? I'm going to die? I don't believe it. Yes. So back in, like, it's just funny how connections like come around. Back when I did Nash chat, when the show Nashville was in town and CMT would do this thing
Starting point is 01:01:03 on Facebook live and talk about the show after and all the people would come up. One of the producers for that, she lives out. in L.A., but we still keep in touch from time to time, and she's working with the company that's doing this, so she hit me up, and she was like, hey, would you want to do this? Oh, that's cool. Well, they want you. You should do it. No, I already hit her up. I was like, okay, so me, or like, maybe
Starting point is 01:01:21 somebody else from the show might want to do it. You can't. I'm in. They hit her up to get to you. No, they did it. That's the real reason. Guys, you don't understand how Big Amy's podcast is. I know, but, like, you think if she went back to the producer and said, like, hey, Bobby wants to do it, they'll be like, no, no, we're good. We're just going to do you, Amy. Or, no, if it's not you, we don't want anybody.
Starting point is 01:01:39 They might say that. Maybe. No, trust me. If we circle back with you, Bobby, they're going to be like, fantastic. Yes, we did it. Fantastic. Because literally. It worked.
Starting point is 01:01:50 Honestly, this is going to be better. Dude, that's crazy. You want to do this? Well, the thing is, there's a lot of information about me out there. Oh, yeah. And any time that I've met with people, I feel like just come through the internet and found it. But I'm up for it. Past celebrity readings include.
Starting point is 01:02:07 include Megan Trainor, Jim Parsons, Tiffany Haddish. That's good. Kelsey Grammer. Cynthia Nixon. Bunny X-O. That's great. Chrissy Metz. Carmen Elektra.
Starting point is 01:02:21 Oh, that's good. I mean, there's a lot. Danica Patrick? We will reach out and I think that would be cool if we were able to do it. And I'll take the reading. Zario Dawson? Okay, now you're just saying people. No, you know her.
Starting point is 01:02:34 Of course, we all know her. Yes. Okay. All right. I'll get this on my phone. I'm going to see if I can get a long alley medium reading. That would be fine. That's cool.
Starting point is 01:02:41 Yes. Now time for the morning corny. The morning corny. Why did the strawberry go out with the pineapple? Why? Because he couldn't get a date. Oh, a date. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:03:33 All right. It's Lego. Yeah. Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from Putnam County, Florida. A 58-year-old woman was at a restaurant and slow service.
Starting point is 01:03:48 Her collard greens were cold. So instead of saying, hey, can I get some new ones? She takes the collard greens, throws them at an employee, then starts threatening everybody with a skillet. Picks up and says, who wants to get hit with a skillet? Police arrived. And when they searched her, they found some substance in her pocket. You know, I'm proud of her.
Starting point is 01:04:09 For what? Not hitting someone with a skillet? It could have been a gun. We have so many gun stories. If it's only a skillet, that's a major step in the right direction. She didn't have a gun. Everybody's got guns. Shooting them in the air, waving them around.
Starting point is 01:04:24 You know, more skillets. Let's pass out skillets. Okay, there you go. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. We all know he's not going to do it. We all know he's not going to make it. But what I can't wait for is Monday's show to hear what the excuse is.
Starting point is 01:04:42 Because he always comes up with the most ridiculous things and all these excuses, so I can't wait for Monday to hear what the excuse was for not making it through the weekend. Love the show. Talking about Eddie and it's fast, I think there will be no excuse.
Starting point is 01:04:58 Nice. Thank you for believing in me. Because I think you'll lie if you do eat. I'm not going to lie, dude. I'm not lying. Like, I'm doing this thing. I'm in the middle of it right now. Amy, talk to your pastor. Yeah, well, I just wanted to get his thoughts on the wine and... What do you say?
Starting point is 01:05:15 And the... That's really, honestly, all I was going to ask about was the wine. And then he put it in his own theological two cents. Okay, here is Pastor Matt. Matt, yeah. Why are you nervous about that? I know Matt. Yep.
Starting point is 01:05:30 Okay, go ahead. Respect to Eddie. It's great that he's, you know, putting aside some time for some spiritual intensity. the theological advice that would be worth considering is that you're not really meant to do this stuff publicly. That's about the clearest teaching Jesus gave about it. You don't really do it on street corners like the Pharisees. So that's probably the major sticking point rather than what's actually being given up on the wine part of it. The point of a fast is it's really usually getting away from food.
Starting point is 01:06:02 But respect. I'd like the challenge, Matt. Oh, please do. I know the Pharisee story and them doing all this stuff to just for show, right? This isn't for show. It's this is me just telling my friends about what I'm doing, hoping that anyone would like to join me. Almost like the church does it. Hey, this is what we're all going to do.
Starting point is 01:06:26 Would love for you to join me. That's it. And I'm just telling you I'm doing it. I'm not, I'm not bragging. Look at me. I'm doing a fast. It's not for everyone, but I'm doing it. Is that a good challenge?
Starting point is 01:06:40 It's fine. That's fine. I mean, I guess I see Eddie's point. Because the second time I've heard of this. But you did like present it to be talked about on the show, which is a large street corner. I would like to let you guys know that I'm doing this. It's kind of cool. That's our point.
Starting point is 01:06:56 That's it. That's exactly the point. I'm doing it. You know? Would you like to join me? Yeah. You get a little high off of people knowing that you're. Why would I do that?
Starting point is 01:07:07 Does it feel good? No, this is terrible. You like it being talked about. It's okay. What? I like being the... Like that you're like getting closer to God. I love that part, absolutely.
Starting point is 01:07:17 But you like us to know. Otherwise, you wouldn't have brought it in for the show to talk about. Honestly, I don't care that you guys know. Then why would you not do it and then just not talk about it? But look how many people are calling in and talking about it. So you want to impact lives. I think it's great. No, no, but the lives aren't impacted.
Starting point is 01:07:33 They're saying things like, hey, shouldn't he not be talking about it? No, no. We didn't have a list of... We did have a listener saying she was going to join in. Yeah, most people say he won't do it. That's true, true. I did get a couple DMs that people are joining me too. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:07:45 But I know we've already had people call him out. I just thought it was funny that I didn't, like, Pastor Matt didn't know anything about that. I specifically was just asking about wine. And then he probably heard me talking about it. That led to say that. No, he didn't. He just was like, my one takeaway would be less about the wine and more about him announcing it. All right.
Starting point is 01:08:06 Scratch that announced it. can't. The jury can't forget what was said. What do they say? Strike it from the record. So you don't ever want to bring it up again? No. You don't want us to check in on you next week? We don't have to bring it up again.
Starting point is 01:08:20 But don't think that I'm quitting it. I'm doing it. Yeah, let's see. If we weren't talking about it every day. If we never talked about it again. If it had been a rejected segment. Would he do it? I wouldn't even do it?
Starting point is 01:08:33 You're 100% he wouldn't. No point. Do you think you're only doing it now you've committed? because you brought it to us. We talked about it. Now you have to live up to what you said. I think so a little bit. Like you guys are keeping me accountable for doing it.
Starting point is 01:08:44 Oh, so it's for accountability. I mean, I think that that's fair. I mean, I'm not going to lie and say that that's not part of it. Absolutely. But I didn't think this was about accountability. I think that helps. This is all about getting closer to God. But it does help that you guys are here to watch me.
Starting point is 01:08:58 And I don't like that you think I'm going to lie to you. That I would like to prove you wrong in that. But you can't. What? You can't prove that you're not. lying because we're not with you all the time. I want you to believe me. Okay, every liar wants everybody to believe them. I'm not a liar. I don't know, man. We're rooting for you. Thank you. Thank you for the voicemail. Thank you to Pastor Matt. And Eddie, this will be the last time
Starting point is 01:09:27 we ever mention it. I'm not doing it. Okay, we're never mentioning it again. Okay? All right. We are done. We will see you Monday. Goodbye, everybody.
