Starting point is 00:14:13 Winner. Wow. She's now on the board. Congratulations. The Bobby Bones show. Happy Halloween. Bones. It's the anonymous in by
Starting point is 00:14:23 and bars. Listen to be cut. Hello, Bobby Bones. My 15-year-old son wants to go trick-or-treating with a few of his friends. I don't think they'll cause any trouble, but they just love Halloween. Part of me worries, though, they'll get side-eyed by neighbors, or they'll make little kids uncomfortable. I don't want to crush as fun, but I want to be considerate of our neighbors and their kids. It's 15 too old to go door-to-door for candy.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Signed, concerned candy crusher. I think if you're assigning a number to it, that would be unfair. I think if you have a good kid who's 15 who loves you go trick-or-treating, that's not a big deal. 15 is old. If you just said 15 and you don't know anything about the kid, I'm saying that's too old. but if it's like a kid who just loves Halloween and is not up to no good, great, go have fun. Especially if he's in like a costume.
Starting point is 00:15:18 Right. Because you really can't tell an age of somebody in a costume. So, generally speaking, if I don't know the kid, 15 feels too old. But if it's a kid with a good heart who just enjoys trick-or-treating, I would just be worried about his other 15-year-old friends. Yeah. Like, what are they up to? I mean, my son's going with his friends.
Starting point is 00:15:35 He's 15. And they will probably look like 12-year-old. so it's fine. If there is like a genuine love and they're not going to mess with kids, they're not going to do pranks that could hurt property, if it literally is, we just want to go have fun and trick or treat, I have no problem with it. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:15:51 Yeah. It's just 15's that age where you start to be, well, problematic. I mean, I think 13 is kind of the age where you start to be problematic a little bit. So if they're not problematic, I think it's awesome. Let it rip. I would make sure the friends are the same way, though. It's easy to get in trouble on Halloween. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:08 You can be easily influenced. Yeah. One too many titsy rolls. Next thing you know, you're crazy. Yeah, if you trust your kid, let him go. I don't think there's an absolute number. Happy Halloween. The Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 00:16:22 I want to go over and talk to Jordan, who is listening to us in Maine. Hey, Jordan, you're on the show. What's going on? Well, I'm just trying to get relationship advice. How old are you? I'm only 21. Okay, got a young voice here. Okay, let's go ahead.
Starting point is 00:16:35 What's going on with you? So I work at construction. I work about six days a week. About eight, like six normally. And my girlfriend's all mad that we don't spend time together. But I don't know. I tried to explain it to her, but she's not really understanding. So I don't know what I should do about it.
Starting point is 00:16:50 What are you explaining to her? Like why I can't see her so much. It's because I have to work trying to. I'm trying to work as much as I can to build what I want, buy a house, buy a truck, and everything that I need in life. Say to me what you say to her when she says, Hey, Jordan, you work too much. And I say to her, I say, well, I'm trying to do.
Starting point is 00:17:09 save money so I can go buy at the house and buy a trap. And every time I do that to her, she always gets mad at me and it end up in a fight. And what is her response when you say that? She goes, oh, you need to make time for me and I should be able to see you and you get out of work. And I tell her, when I get out of work, I need to go home and go to sleep so I can be up to go to work in the morning. She doesn't like that.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Yeah. Hey, listen, you're both right. Yeah. Neither one of you have to be wrong. So I think there is, with your communication, I think you could communicate it a little better than just, I got to go home and go to sleep. And I think you have to be deliberate about the time you are spending with her
Starting point is 00:17:49 to let her know that you are spending time with her. Like plan things with her. Because anything that you can plan in advance feels like effort on your part. You got to work, you got to work. I'm never going to tell you not to work. I thought you're 21 years old, right? That's what you said? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Yeah, grind away. And make that money for the truck. Make that money for the house payment. Not going to fault you for this. that but instead of just being like nope this is what i got to do i think you meet it with i completely hear you and understand here's why and here's what i want to do like i think we should plan to do these things and if you just plan in advance she won't feel so um disregarded that would be my advice also she might just be a dud i don't know i don't know her but i think yeah like if she's
Starting point is 00:18:30 not her seeing that is she for sure the one that's what i'm saying like i hate to just go you have to do all the changing because why would you hold someone back who wants to work to build your future? Well, we don't know there's a lot of missing pieces here. Like we don't, how many times a week
Starting point is 00:18:46 are y'all seeing each other? Like once on the weekend or? Well, so she's in school in college and I try to see her when she doesn't have classes and I'm not working and every time that I try to make plans something always comes up with her on her end.
Starting point is 00:19:01 Okay, so it's on her too and she's just holding you accountable. And that's unfair. So I think it's, you guys have to figure out when you both have openings and that has to work for both of you. And if it doesn't, I don't know, I don't like her. I'll be honest with you guys. I don't like her. I think some of this is just going to be some maturing that needs to happen. You're also 21, dude. And she's in school and. Yeah. Like, she's hold something against you that she's probably also guilty of doing, which is not making a lot of time for you. That's convenient for your schedule as well. Do you want to be with her? Like, is this like the one?
Starting point is 00:19:34 I can't have mixed feelings right now. Yeah. Yeah. Well, you should. Yeah. I know. That's hard to hear. It is.
Starting point is 00:19:44 Yeah. We don't know. You or her, so we don't have a bias. I think that's positive. But somebody who's treating a situation like this, I don't like. In all seriousness, like she could be the one. She's just, it's not right now, though. So just promise us that that you'll not make any crazy moves to lock this in anytime soon.
Starting point is 00:20:02 Don't get her pregnant. Yeah, that's sort of what I'm saying. I'm sailing from that. I don't need that. Yeah, you don't need that. Even he was here. Not right now. Yeah, don't get her pregnant. Okay, so here's our advice, Jordan. You keep working the way you're working because you're working for a reason to save up money for the future.
Starting point is 00:20:18 That's awesome. I think you could communicate a little better to her to go, hey, just so you understand, this is why I'm working. But let us together work on finding times that we both have open. So we can spend quality time together. But it is going to be difficult when we're in our young 20. because that's when you have to really work hard to just get even, not even ahead. And so then if it doesn't work, it just ain't going to work. Don't be guilted.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Do not be guilted because you're working too hard. So that's what I'm going to say about that. Amy, anything you want to add? Yeah, I just think just talking through this and then. There's 21 thing I can talk about. Well, talking through it like you just said. I'm trying to think there's anything else I would add. And it's not really just to take it slow.
Starting point is 00:20:58 And, yeah, plan ahead, take initiative. But if she's canceling, that's what's really throwing me off. I feel like she don't even care. She ain't even putting it in the work. We got a boy of your Jordan for him working every day. So he's so tired. All he wants to do is come home and go to sleep. And she's like canceling on them.
Starting point is 00:21:11 She's stuck to go hang out as a student union. What? The quad. Yeah. Jordan, hang in there. I'm telling you, you communicate a little better. And if she doesn't come back with equal positive communication, that's probably not the one, buddy. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:21:30 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
Starting point is 00:21:54 creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in someone, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for.
Starting point is 00:23:00 Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Gregal, Sbian, Michael Maranini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police.
Starting point is 00:23:16 As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Americopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges. This isn't over until justice has served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
Starting point is 00:23:55 We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care.
Starting point is 00:24:15 So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Starting point is 00:24:35 I'm Ago Wadam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't work. about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:25:25 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This week on the Sports Slice podcast, it's all about the NFL draft, and we've got a special guest.
Starting point is 00:25:52 The director of the NFL's East West Shrine Bowl, Eric Galco, joins the Sports Slice podcast to break down what really matters when evaluating draft prospects. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Tell me something good. There was this pop-up thrift store, and they allowed community members to shop for clothing or household items or toys. all at no cost. So she set up the store outside of her home based on the idea of just community, not charity. And so people can just walk up.
Starting point is 00:26:48 It's basically a yard sale, but people could walk up and take whatever they needed. That's cool. That's nice. And so one of the students from one of the college went because she was like,
Starting point is 00:26:58 hey, look, I'm just struggling college kid. And she picked up items like a baby carriage for a sister. And so it was also people looking out for other people from the one person that was looking out for everybody in the town. So they were saying,
Starting point is 00:27:08 it's like a pop-up thrift store, but it's like a, I would say, a slightly elevated yard sale where anybody could come and get whatever they wanted. I just thought that was cool. I don't think I would have done it. I don't be on my yard. Mostly that's it. But shout out. We finally got our grass to grow back in certain places.
Starting point is 00:27:27 Right. And then they're going to just step all over. I know, I know. And that's a bad way. I would do it somewhere else. But I think it's an awesome idea. And so she hopes to host more of these events through the year. and Jenny Nielsen, that is a great idea.
Starting point is 00:27:40 It's an elevated yard sale, but free. And then also other people were bringing things that weren't, let's be honest, I've done a lot of yard selling. You call them yard sales or garage sales? A garage sale. Depends that they're in the yard. But even when they're in the yard, I'd call it a garage sale. We used to go yard selling.
Starting point is 00:27:56 I don't know if it's just my grandma called it, but we would go all the time. And sometimes there's a lot crap there. But they kind of had a no crap rule. and you could bring stuff to drop it off to be given away to, but it couldn't be like broken crap. Because sometimes at yard sells you sell broken crap. Right.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Yeah. But no crap. And people benefited. I love the story from KPAX. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Fact Friday. Right around the room.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Your most fun fact. I'll go first. The placenta that a woman grows during pregnancy is technically an organ. And it's the only organ that's meant to leave the body. Oh. Yeah. Huh. What?
Starting point is 00:28:39 Yeah. What? Y'all didn't know that about the female body? I got to say. I mean, I guess if I really thought about it. I didn't know it was considered an organ. Yeah, I don't know that I would have thought that either. I just know you could eat it.
Starting point is 00:28:48 So that once it leaves, you get another one for the next baby? It regrows for the next baby. It sets that out. Yeah. Our bodies are amazing. Yeah. Yeah. Back to it.
Starting point is 00:28:58 All right, Amy. A UGov poll conducted found that 41% of Americans believe that ghosts exist. Do they count spirits, angels, anything in that realm? Because I would imagine with the number that high, that has to be the 41%. So it breaks some stuff down. It says 20% of them say they've had an encounter with one. And as many as 43% believe that demons exist and 31% other supernatural beings. Yeah, too many percentages for me to comprehend.
Starting point is 00:29:30 But 40% has to be total coverage. like angels, ghosts, any of that stuff. Other spirits. Some kind of spirit. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, lunchbox. With it being Halloween, if you're headed to Hollywood, California, make sure you leave your silly string at home
Starting point is 00:29:47 because it is banned on Halloween. If you get busted using silly string, you can be fined up to $1,000. Dang, contraband. That is Halloween contraband. Marlon Brando had 16 children, and it's believed he's the father of a 17th, this woman named Linda Carroll.
Starting point is 00:30:06 Linda went on to have a daughter, Courtney Love. So Courtney Love could be Marlon Brando's granddaughter. Whoa. Courtney Love was married to Kurt Cobain. She was leading to a whole actress. You know Marlon Brando? He's the godfather.
Starting point is 00:30:21 I know who he is. I never have seen the godfather movies, but I know who he is. All right, next up, Morgan. Halloween wasn't always kid-friendly, so trick-or-treating didn't happen until the 1930s, 1940s. Before that, the night,
Starting point is 00:30:34 and was just pranks and mischief that happened. I hate some mischief. It's not never good. I hate mischief so much. The U.S. Department of Defense buys more explosive devices than anyone else in the world. At number two, the Walt Disney Company because of all the fireworks in the parks. Every night. Yep.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Boom. Makes sense. Yep. Next. Yeah, me. Candy corn was originally called chicken feed because it looked like chicken feed. And on the cover of the box was a rooster. I think that's a more.
Starting point is 00:31:04 fun name. Chicken feed, then candy corn? Yeah, because corn. It looks like corn, like, uh, you know. Kind of. But I think corn makes candy corn gross. And I like candy corn, but just candy and corn don't go together. But does chicken feed sound appealing to you? No, because it's, then it's just like a name. It's just like a created a candy. What's crazy, too, is they created that in 1880 and it's still around. Yeah, people hate it, though. I love it. Fun fact, Friday. It's time for the good. News. At just 13 years old, this kid Jackson in Michigan is using his homemade haunted house to raise money for children with cancer. And why this is important to Jackson is because he was a kid
Starting point is 00:31:50 with cancer. He has been in remission since 2022, but for the last several years, with the help of his dad, that they have set up a haunted house in their front yard. It takes them about a month to put it together. And then they charge people to go through. But all of the money goes. to these shirts that you can buy kids with cancer. And it's a way for you to feel comfortable during treatment because you have all these ports and you're having to get, you know, IVs and injections. And so you don't have to remove all your clothing.
Starting point is 00:32:16 There's these special shirts with holes in the right places. And he gets to buy these shirts and give them to kids that are getting cancer treatment. If the HOA steps in and says, I will fly up there and protest myself. I don't need the HOA to be taking this down because that's what they do sometimes. That would be horrible.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Especially this year because now Make-O-Wish is gotten involved and apparently made the attraction just that much more haunted. It's the perfect mix. I'm looking at it of being cool but also still DIY. Oh, okay, yeah. Like the tunnels are tarps and then you walk through and there's all kinds of stuff. It took them months to make that. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:32:52 I was watching this video and there's like this, it's like a theme park that you go into and as you go into it, they hire people to scare you, but address as monsters. It's kind of like a, you walk in and it's kind of all encompassing. you walk in a little haunted rooms. But then there are people that just come up and also go, ah, like monsters. And there's a video of someone's scared of one and the dude just punch them right in the face.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Poor guy's an actor. Yeah. I was so mad for that. And like, you know that's part of it. That's part of it. And he was like, what are you doing? And the person's on the ground like, oh. A little too reactionary.
Starting point is 00:33:28 That sucked. Your story's good, though. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. Let's more game two. The Steve Reddavit's trying to put you through. Mike is writing his week's next bit.
Starting point is 00:33:54 Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is the Bobby Vaughn's story. Let's go over to Amy with the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny! Why don't mummies take vacations? Why don't mummies take vacations? They're afraid they'll unwind. That was the Morning Corny. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:25 No? Good. Pretty good. You want another one? That's the final Halloween joke of the year. But if I don't end strong. Go ahead. Do another one.
Starting point is 00:34:35 I thought that was strong. I liked it. Give us another one. Okay. The morning corny. How did the ghost manage to haunt three houses at once? How? She used
Starting point is 00:34:49 Bluetooth. She was the first. It got worse. Morning, morning. I think better it would be like, how does a ghost listen to his music in the car? Oh, Bluetooth.
Starting point is 00:35:02 That's a good one. Okay, okay, okay, okay. That was terrible. That was really bad. Did you make that one up? Why is a cemetery a great place to write a story? Why?
Starting point is 00:35:10 Because there are so many plots there. That's pretty good. Okay, yeah. We can give you a clap on that one. Sorry, Bluetooth needed some work. Bobby Bones show. Boney up the day. This story comes to us from Florida.
Starting point is 00:35:26 A 76-year-old man wanted the neighborhood to know, no drugs allowed at his house. So he put a sign on the front of his house, said no drugs allowed. Wow. Only problem is he had people coming and going at all hours of the night. Neighbors got tired of it. Police came.
Starting point is 00:35:43 And guess what? He was dealing drugs from his house. The irony. Yeah. I don't know that that's ironic. He's got a sign that says no drugs allowed and he's dealing drugs? I think the first thing that would have led me to him dealing drugs is the sign that said no drugs allowed. Was he trying to do that thing where you hide in plain sight?
Starting point is 00:36:01 I think he was doing reverse. Oh. Yeah. Reverse psychology. No drugs allowed. It really was all drugs allowed. Right. Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:09 I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. A win is a win. A win. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You doctored this particular test twice in someone, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case.
Starting point is 00:37:40 I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg LESPN and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap.

Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes.
Starting point is 00:38:36 And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that, trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. And in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me?
Starting point is 00:38:58 The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. They said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings.
Starting point is 00:39:48 I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you. which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:40:10 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. And for more, follow Timbo Slical Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Let's check some voicemails. Number one. I can't wait until five or six years in the future when Bobby's kid upsets him,
Starting point is 00:41:20 makes him mad about something, and all of a sudden the first grade picture is off of his phone wallpaper, and he's replacing it with an Arkansas razor back. Later. It's fair. Wait, what? I don't know if that'll happen. That's fair. What? I don't really understand what she's saying.
Starting point is 00:41:38 I keep my wife on my wallpaper on my phone, and then whenever I passively aggressively... Oh, yes. You remove her. Yeah, and I don't, like, put the opposite of her. So she's saying you're going to do that to your child? She's saying that I will put the Arkansas Razorbacks up there. Right. To show your child, I'm disappointed in you.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Oh, that's what she's saying? Yes. Dude. You're not going to do that. You wouldn't do that. You can't get mad at me for something that hasn't happened five years in the future. But we're warning you. But stop being disappointed in me for something I did not do.
Starting point is 00:42:09 That's toxic, though. I didn't do it. Yeah. Everybody's shots. Okay, next up. I'm calling about Amy's vision. obviously it's about Kentucky playing Auburn this weekend we're horrible at football they're the War Eagles
Starting point is 00:42:23 they're going to come in swoop us up no problem that's your bet thanks guys good thing about that I didn't either who's playing so Auburn are the Eagles yeah well Auburn to the Tigers the War Eagles that's the problem I have with that is that they say War Eagle but they're the Auburn Tigers right of course I knew that
Starting point is 00:42:44 but keep going who they playing and then playing Kentucky that are cats. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, this is all very clear now. It's not, though, because the Auburn mascot is not an eagle. The Auburn mascot is a tiger. They fly the eagle. They yell war eagle. So... It's very confusing. I think I'm going to just, you know, throw a little something on there, too, just in case? Just in case that's the vision. It's very clear that the other team are cats. So if Auburn's the eagle and Auburn's a 10 and a half
Starting point is 00:43:14 point favorite, I'll throw a hundy on it. Okay. So, so, But the real one's tonight, the game's tonight, by the way. Yes. The Memphis, no, excuse me, the rice, owls, and Memphis tigers. Yeah. Okay, yeah, that game's tonight. I mean, we're calling that the real one, but now I'm kind of liking this Auburn situation.
Starting point is 00:43:33 But Auburn's not an eagle. It's war eagle, though. And when they're playing the other, if you can't have two cats versus each other, so you have to pick. But that's what, that's what's happening with Auburn and Kentucky. There's what two cats facing each other. Right, but since Kentucky's clearly a cat, a wild cat. And Auburn is clearly a tiger.
Starting point is 00:43:53 I know, but you have to pick the other. I know, but since wild cats are taking the cat category, you have to pick another animal and that's where the eagles. You can't diversify here. It's definitely what we chose. Okay. If her prediction is right, the rice owls will cover against the Memphis Tigers. And what's the point? I don't remember, but I know.
Starting point is 00:44:14 14 maybe. I know I bet a bunch. And I did not know the game was tonight. It is tonight. So that's our Draft King's pick. Amy's Vision. So far, it's 3 and 0. Oh, it's a tough one, Amy.
Starting point is 00:44:27 I bet last night on the Ravens and Dolphins, and I bet like 200 bucks for the Ravens to cover and they did. And then I bet a whole bunch of stuff. Like all the little stats, I didn't win. I broke even. Oh, you didn't win those? Broke even on the night just so everybody knows I'm not the luckiest man ever. Well, you know, most of the time you're lucky.
Starting point is 00:44:44 No, that's not true. Yes. I just don't share when I'm not. There are some weekends I come on 25 whistles, and I'm like, I've lost thousands of dollars. But these guys don't share that. They don't care about that. It doesn't fit their narrative.
Starting point is 00:44:56 Their narrative of what, you're lucky? Yeah, your narrative. You're there. All right, next up. Lunchbox ran into Flavis of Flav in the National Airport, and, you know, he denied him of getting a picture. Since Lunchbox is a celebrity, can't Lunchbox just tell other celebrities like,
Starting point is 00:45:15 hey let's collaborate. So it just makes me think, like, is Lunchbox really the celebrity that he puts off if he can't even get a picture with another celebrity? All right, love the show. Bye. Yeah, I've never seen a celebrity say no to a picture from another celebrity.
Starting point is 00:45:29 In my history of seeing celebrities, I've never seen that. But don't you think most celebrities don't ask other celebrities for pictures? Yeah, they do sometimes. Yeah, they ask for sure. You see it on Instagram. Hey, can we get a picture on Big Fan?
Starting point is 00:45:39 That happens a lot. Oh. Yeah. Or, hey, let's get a picture together more so than can I get a picture with you? So I would say that I bet they let them be more than they Ask though
Starting point is 00:45:51 They let them just chill Because it's a celebrity they get it But lunchbox isn't a celebrity guys No he's not a celebrity And it helps when like the other person Knows who the other person is And like oh yeah Tom Hanks What's up it's me Brad Pitt
Starting point is 00:46:03 Right right right And that's we know each other It's not what happened Because Flavav of Flav doesn't know who he is Right lunchbox your thoughts Yeah that's the thing is Me and Flavent flavor from two different like genres
Starting point is 00:46:15 Famous and not famous. Disagree. And so I think that's part of the problem is that we, you know, if he was in the country realm or maybe we, and so we don't interact. He's going to say reality. He's done reality shows. Yeah, that's why I was going to say that when I stopped.
Starting point is 00:46:33 So I think that was the problem. And then also I think that him being on FaceTime with someone kind of made it a little awkward. No, I think he just aren't a celebrity. I think. Like if Blake Shelton walked up to him, he'd be like, oh, what up, dude? Yeah. Hold on to the FaceTime. Blake is very country.
Starting point is 00:46:51 I think if anybody in the top 25 of Nashville celebrities walks up to him. Yeah. I just don't think he knows all the celebrities in Nashville. I would agree he doesn't know all the celebrities in Nashville. Right. Because he obviously didn't know who I was. Okay. Next up.
Starting point is 00:47:09 I was just calling to see his lunchbox took his dog to be blessed like his wife asked to do. Thank you very much. No, I ended up not being able to go to the blessing because it was when I was in L.A. Getting on that price is right. Getting on that price is right. So no, I missed the blessing.
Starting point is 00:47:28 I didn't realize it was the same time frame that I was going to be in L.A. So I will be on the lookout for any other pet blessing in Nashville and I will attend. You can probably go to a church just be like, Father, can you please bless my dog? I think, yeah, you can probably anything
Starting point is 00:47:44 blessed, huh? Sure. Anything living. Yeah. You just have to ask. I don't know if I can bring my dog just into a church, though. I think you can go to the church and say, hey, can I bring my dog by to be blessed? And I think they would say yes. Oh, okay. I could try that. I did see this morning that RFK Jr. is walking back as Tylenol autism claims a little bit.
Starting point is 00:48:07 What's he saying? I brought a clip of it. Okay. Which makes sense. Because everything else you would read that was independent. And they were like, we've studied this for decades. Causation and correlation aren't the same thing, meaning Tylenol doesn't cause it. But some of the things that you're taking Tylenol for could be an issue that could be factoring in on things like autism.
Starting point is 00:48:31 So causation and correlation are not the same thing. And so here he is. And this is what I believe is the first of many steps. This is like a quarter of a step backward from what he had said previously. Go ahead. The causative association between tunnel given in pregnancy and the perinatal periods is not sufficient to say it definitely causes autism, but it is very suggestive. And it's suggestive in animal studies and core blood studies and observational studies from nation to nation. And so there should be a cautious approach to it.
Starting point is 00:49:05 And that's why our message to patients, to mothers, to people who are pregnant, under the mothers of young children, console your physician, and we have asked physicians to minimize the use to when it's absolutely necessary. That is about a quarter to a half step backward and good. But again, causation and correlation are not the same thing. And I think that was the biggest takeaway from this is you had many physicians. And I talked to three doctors about it specifically because at the time we started hearing this, my wife was pregnant. And all three doctors were like, no, you can take Tylenol. It's actually the one thing you can take. Again, causation would be Tylenol causes things to happen. Correlation would be if there are fevers you're having and then you take Tylenol for the fever,
Starting point is 00:49:59 all the fevers could be affecting your body in a way. But you're also taking Tylenol to help the fever. So then you're like, well, I took Tylenol and now my body's doing this. Actually, it was from the fever. You were taking Tylenol because of the fever. Tylenol because of something else. So I'm glad now they're saying consult your physician. That really wasn't what was being said initially. It's so irresponsible at times. And so ask your doctor. That's what I say.
Starting point is 00:50:27 And only I say that because that's what you're supposed to do. What if it's lunchbox's doctor though, where it's like, I don't know. They can't find it. He's been to seven of them. Go somewhere else. Health and Human Services, Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. admitted Wednesday that he does not have sufficient evidence that pregnant people, use of Tylenol can cause autism and their children.
Starting point is 00:50:45 I would also like to say this in a positive way. I learn new information all the time, and then I go, oh, maybe I wasn't as correct as I thought about that. Anytime anybody does that, I must say thank you. Because I'm sure it's hard to walk out there and go, you know, we might have said that a little bit wrong then. So if someone can always come out and go,
Starting point is 00:51:08 I learn new information, I've changed my mind. I like that. So I don't want to just point a finger and be like, You're wrong. I think it was presented extremely matter of fact that it became political on social media. So, cool. You talk to your doctor. That should always be it.
Starting point is 00:51:23 Talk to your doctor. It's just crazy to me that some doctors are stupid, though. Well, they're just people. I know. Like, not most, but some doctors are, some pilots are stupid. Like, I went to school with some people and they're doctors now. Well, but it's like, how do you know if you have a stupid one? You know, you just trust it.
Starting point is 00:51:40 It's just bad luck. Luck of the draw. But some doctors are idiots. Some pilots are idiots. Some all these positions. No doubt about some politicians are idiots. So that to me is wild. You move to a new town.
Starting point is 00:51:54 He's looking for a doctor and you get the idiot doctor. That sucks. So big shout out. Doctors that aren't idiots. I'm a big fan of doctors that aren't idiots. What'd you do yesterday? Oh, I had long phone calls. Oh, no.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Yeah. Oh, no. Wasn't that? I went to Pilates. Did you break up with your boyfriend? No. Oh, is that what that was? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:52:20 It looked like a long face. She was like, oh. I thought you knew what she was talking about. Oh, no, I didn't. No, I spent minus work and then Pilates. I spent pretty much the rest of the day on the phone. Just. Customer service?
Starting point is 00:52:32 Dealing with stuff. Doing crap? Talking to idiot doctors? Warranty problems? Interesting. You asked that. I don't think anybody. I trust everybody.
Starting point is 00:52:42 that I talked to, I hope. Like, they're not, I'm leaning into their expertise for sure. So hopefully they're not idiots. But yeah, you know. And then I think I took some NyQuil around 8 o'clock because my throat started to get a little, I've been off of it for a week. But I was NyQuil last week. But then this week I've been off of it because I felt better.
Starting point is 00:53:03 But then last night, my left tonsil, every time I'd swallow my hangy-bangy, as lunchbox would call it, was hurting. And I don't know if it was just, who knows, it was. a little bit of stress from the day or just whatever. So around 8 o'clock. My son didn't have school for Halloween, I guess, but teacher, the teacher day or something. And it's not because it's Halloween.
Starting point is 00:53:25 It's because the way they scheduled it. And kids get off for Halloween now? That's awesome. No, they don't all. There's a Halloween break. I think they just chose to use one of their teacher workdays or whatever for Halloween. So anyway, he didn't really have a strict bedtime last night. And I was like, hey, it's 8 o'clock.
Starting point is 00:53:40 I'm going to bed. so make sure at least by 10 you're in bed. Then you gave him full authority and autonomy on his own bedtime. Because that's how tired. Shout out. I was. And what time you go to bed? Eddie, I was asleep.
Starting point is 00:53:54 Let's see, like, I wonder, like, if I just let my kids say, like, all right, whatever time you want to go to bed, I don't think they'll sleep. He is a, if I were to say that to my daughter, I mean, and she's 18 now, so it's totally different. But if she were 15 and I were to say that to her, who knows, she would probably stay up all night. my son is such a rule follower. Like, he likes to be, so I, to answer your question, I think I can answer with 99% of confidence that he went to bed when I said. NyQuil the day after is tough.
Starting point is 00:54:27 Yeah. Is it like a hangover? Are you feeling that? It's like all your neurons and your synapses and your brain aren't connecting. It's like they got to go take some, they got to divert from the original core. to get to where they want to get.
Starting point is 00:54:41 Sounds like a hangover. Yeah, no, it's not like a hangover, but yeah, I just... You don't feel sick. Okay. You know, pretty slow, but I mean, I'm trying. I don't feel like groggy. I just...
Starting point is 00:54:53 If I have NyQuil, it's over. It's okay. No, no, NyQuil or DayQuil? Dayquil doesn't do much. NyQuil does. Because NyQuil, I think, has more alcohol in it. Well, DayQuil's not going to put you to sleep, and NyQuil has whatever that is,
Starting point is 00:55:07 that's sleepy time. Yeah, I guess I'm saying for the day after. After. Yeah. Whatever NyQuil has in it for the day after. If I take NyQuil, the next day, I am useless. Because I can't connect. My thoughts don't connect.
Starting point is 00:55:22 I'm not totally useless. Eddie, your day? I went to a Belmont soccer game. Yeah, Eddie told us in his, well, we were making fun of his Belmont hat yesterday. That was on 25 whistles, right? Yeah. I was listening. Amy was listening.
Starting point is 00:55:35 She was in the glass room. Oh, I thought you listened, listen, like you downloaded it. No, no, she was sitting in the glass room. Oh, no. I was working on some other stuff. Got it. And so Eddie went, because he had a friend in town, right? Yeah, I have a friend in town, and his son is dating a soccer player at Belmont.
Starting point is 00:55:49 And so the only time we could, it's not that I wanted to go to the soccer game, but the only time we can get together, me and my friend was at that game because he wanted to go to dinner, but we couldn't do that. So I was like, I'll just meet you at the game. We'll hang out and catch up. And how'd it go? They won. Yeah. Belmont won, two to zero.
Starting point is 00:56:03 We caught up. It was cool. His son was there. I hadn't seen his son since he was six years old, seven years old. And so it was cool to see him. He's like 19 now in college. Crazy. And then like he used to hang out with my son when they were both five years old. So he's like, how's your son doing? Like that's crazy, man. Like you're in college. My son's about to go to college.
Starting point is 00:56:27 It's just crazy. It was like a moment where like, man, time flies. Came home yesterday. Worked out before I got tired. I mean, I guess it's getting darker earlier. And I don't know. I got a bit of seasonal depression and probably life depressed. depression. Are you depressed? I think so. Like on a scale of one to...
Starting point is 00:56:45 One and a half. 10. Oh, one and a half. Okay, that's pretty good. That's manageable. Yeah. So, it's just getting darker. I like to play outside with the kids, you know?
Starting point is 00:56:57 I like to be out longer, street lights. It's a cold to side. Street lights, come on, I got to go back inside. So, came home, worked out. And then we don't do a lot right now because it's hard to gauge if my wife is going to feel good or not because she's pregnant. And so she's feeling pretty good.
Starting point is 00:57:14 And I was like, hey, let's watch a movie. So, hey, Morgan, we watched House of Dynamite or whatever it's called. Oh, what did you think? Well, is that what it's called House of Dynamite? Yeah, House of Dynamite. I don't know if I can even share what I think. Well, rate it because now I need to know if I should watch it. I can tell you this.
Starting point is 00:57:35 My wife, when we finished it, no, I don't even want, I can't. Thing. Okay, but give it stars. I will just say this. We had such a difference of opinion on the movie. More than any other movie, I think we have ever watched. So was she one star or five stars or vice versa? Who liked it?
Starting point is 00:57:59 Who didn't? Morgan, is it weird for me to even share that? I don't think so, but I do find it difficult to rate it because it just feels like it was supposed to be something that just teaches you something. That's the purpose to me. I think some people are going to watch it, and they are going to walk, like in viral videos, and grab their television screen and throw it out the window.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Yes. And I think some people are going to watch it, like myself, completely fulfilled. Oh, so she didn't like it. She said that was the biggest waste of two hours that I think I have ever experienced. And then we watched the Thunder Game. I don't want to watch them with Thunder Games.
Starting point is 00:58:41 Listen, I'm a sports fan. You watched every single one? Enough! Enough! What's there been? Like three or four? We were watching it. And I think
Starting point is 00:58:49 I just so wasn't paying attention last night. Let me see if I can remember who they were playing without looking it up. Because they won and it was over quick. So they were playing a bad team. So they were playing and they were in blue and she said,
Starting point is 00:59:05 did you know Thunder have the lowest three point percentage of anybody in the NBA? Then I watched him at three. in a row and I was like well guess that's up that percentage just went up yeah they played somebody bad hmm don't tell me
Starting point is 00:59:20 do you have it Mike are they bad I know yeah yeah oh it's the wizards yep yeah it was the wizards so we killed them dude it wasn't even in the game wait because we have league pass which I call NBA Sunday ticket
Starting point is 00:59:33 and so she watches every game and because it was over pretty quick and she oh she said I'm gonna uh fall a watching the game, so just turn it off when it's over, which she doesn't do often. But then she couldn't go to sleep because she wanted to watch the whole game. And I was waiting for it to doze off so I could turn that stupid thing off.
Starting point is 00:59:50 Did you all these bet on it? No. Oh. I can't bet NBA. It's tough. It sucks. Yeah, it sucks. Yeah, it sucks.
Starting point is 00:59:55 Yeah, it sucks. Yeah, it's going to even got to watch first three quarters. So that's what we did last night. Lunchbox, what did you guys do? Yesterday, we had stupid trunk or treat in my kids' school. Yeah, that was it. We just went and, that's it. They dressed up in their costumes and they walked around the parking lot, got free candy,
Starting point is 01:00:15 chatted up with some other parents, you know, small talk. Hey, how's it going? Happy Halloween. Woo-hoo. Eat some candy. Yeah, yeah. Pat some people on the back. And that was about it.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Lunchbox. My wife and I came up with a great idea for that trunk or tree candy. Yeah. Give that candy out to the kids in Halloween tonight. Smart. That's so smart. Like if my kids keep the trunk or treat candy, it's going to be way too much. So we're taking the candy we got from trunk or treat
Starting point is 01:00:43 I don't know what truck or treat is It's just like in a church parking lot And you go from car to car Oh in the trunk of a car It's really stupid It's really annoying And it was started Like trunk or treat was started for like
Starting point is 01:00:56 If you're in a dangerous neighborhood It gives children safe place to trick or treat And now every business church, school So there's like 500 trunk or treats every season So you go trick or treating about 50 times Before Halloween even gets here It's really annoying. Sounds awesome as a kid.
Starting point is 01:01:12 So you do have a lot of candy. Lots. Do you bring any with you? No. No. Now, what's what we're going to give away tonight? Got it. Because I got to work tonight.
Starting point is 01:01:20 What? I'm working. Chains. What? You back at the game? Yeah. Working the chain game? Friday night lights.
Starting point is 01:01:26 He got the call. Got the call. He did it the first time they never called him back. Is it like just league stuff or is the school? It's high school football. It's high school football. You're doing the chains at a high school football game. That's right.
Starting point is 01:01:39 That's right. This is going to be the third. time I've done it. Well, second. Big game? No, it's just a regular. Well, yeah, kind of. Town rival. Yeah, man. I feel like that's a bigger, more popular game if it's a town rival. So, and I ask Bobby, though, it's Halloween. Should I dress up like Dracula or something? He's like,
Starting point is 01:01:56 no, don't. As it on the chain gang? No. Why? That's fun. Or like a murder chain gang member? This is, this is, it's not supposed to be fun. This is official. It is an official game. It is official. Because sometimes, Amy, we have to be called out to the field to measure. So people... Yeah, but how funny if you're, like, dressed up. And I limp outside.
Starting point is 01:02:13 It's not a comedy routine. You don't need your person deciding where the ball, where the spot of the ball is. I limped to the 50-yard line, like a zombie. We then debated on 25 whistles what costume he should wear if he did. And I said, hey, you know how Will of Fortune? They have that category that's like,
Starting point is 01:02:28 Home Alone with you. It's like there's that middle. There's like... Yeah. We didn't know what that was really called. Before and after, maybe. Yeah. And I said, Eddie should be a chain gang banger.
Starting point is 01:02:38 Okay. So he's a guy that runs the chain gang and a gangbanger. Yeah. And he's all in his like, yeah, yeah. Hey. Get his blood gear on. How do you get called to do the high school game? Like you don't have a kid that plays high school football?
Starting point is 01:02:52 I don't. But my friend does it. He's part of the chain gang. So one day, one day somebody called in sick. And so I got the call. I guess somebody else called in sick again. And I did such a good job that they're like, what are you doing on Halloween night? Boom.
Starting point is 01:03:07 He doesn't get paid, though. And it's a Friday night. Yeah, like, what's your wife going to do? She's going to pass out candy? No, they're all going. Like, the kids like to go to the football game. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, that makes sense.
Starting point is 01:03:16 And all their friends are going. I know. I'm trying to decide if we're going to go to a football game. And my son did say, it's pretty cool seeing you out there. Like, all my friends are like, what's your dad doing out there? Like, chain gang. He's the chain gang binger. With my bandana hanging out.
Starting point is 01:03:30 All right, let's grab some calls. Let's go to Robin in Indiana, who's on line eight. Hey, Robin, you're on. Hello, studio. Good morning. What's going on? What I want to know is this is from Morgan. I'd had COVID back in 2000 and I had lost my smell. And I can even, I can even clean out the litter box and not smell. How's her regimen going? Oh, yeah. It's been going awesome. My smell's coming back. All of my like long COVID symptoms are starting to go away. It's crazy. How long ago did you get COVID and lose your smell?
Starting point is 01:04:04 So I lost it. It was 20, 21. And how many years did you just not have smell? Four years. And now it's getting better because? Oh, because I've been doing like a very strict regimen. I've been on a completely vegan, gluten-free diet. I've been doing red light therapy, infrared saunas, a full detox, parasite cleanses. Like, it's been a whole journey for the past month and a half where I've just been a very strict lifestyle of doing very healthy things for my body.
Starting point is 01:04:31 And what do you think about that is helping you? I think it's a detox one. It's like, so what we've learned is that. I have what they call a dirty gene. It's called M-T-H-F-R. And it like holds down. I know. You got that one?
Starting point is 01:04:45 Terminology. Yeah. Well, all the guys looked up like, you have a what? M-T. No, a dirty gene. Dirty gene. Yeah, that's the easier way to say it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:56 So my body holds on to viruses and stuff a lot more than everybody else. So we think that like long COVID was just, COVID sticking around in my body. So the detox and stuff was helping get that virus finally out of my body, which is why all the symptoms were hanging on. So it's, I would say my smell is probably at like 40% now. The smell's been the hardest one to get back. I haven't had any vertigo episodes, which is awesome. But it's been a journey. It did not come easy. Was it worth and is it worth spending all that time being very disciplined to get your smell back? I hope so. I hope it's going to end up being back 100%.
Starting point is 01:05:38 Well, I'm saying even if it does come back 100%, because you're having to dedicate a lot of your life to it. Yeah. Is it worth all the time you're dedicating to your life to get your smell back? I don't know if the smell back is the number one. Like, I don't know that if my smell is the only thing, I don't know that I would have went through all of this. Anything else happening? Like, is your hair getting thicker? Are you losing weight?
Starting point is 01:05:57 Other things that you're seeing with your body because you're doing all these other things? Yeah, I've lost 15 pounds, which was crazy. and my skin's like perfectly. I don't have any acne or stuff going on. Like the inflammation of my body is gone. Is your brain sharper? Oh, yeah. I don't feel brain fog.
Starting point is 01:06:13 I don't have to take a nap every day. I'm sleeping better. It just like everything is good. Eddie, what? You're up to no good. You're about to say. I'm telling you. Lunchbox and Eddie,
Starting point is 01:06:23 when Morgan said. They both gave me side eye and I didn't. I'm not meaning anything. He goes, is your brain sharper or whatever? And she's like, yes. And then lunchbox's face, they're like, okay. No wonder she's highly intelligent. Genius level.
Starting point is 01:06:36 I am. You know, it's fine. Robin. So Morgan did suffer for years and years with that. So what do you have to say to that? I'm going to try anything I can because I'll tell you, if you can scoop out kitty litter and not smell it, you've got problems. I think, I don't know, Morgan. Could you put up, like, really what your rigorous process is, like, as something on our website?
Starting point is 01:06:58 Yeah. Because I'm sure. No, I know for sure, because I've had other listeners message to me that are still dealing with this, meaning they got COVID, they lost their smell, and they still don't have it back, or they only have part of it back. How do you find out if you have the dirty gene? It's blood work and lab. You can look and just tell.
Starting point is 01:07:14 Check them out. Yeah, Morgan walked in one day, and she was like, what do you guys? What do you think of my genes? We're like, they're dirty. Okay, so blood work. Oh, yeah, blood work. Blood work. Okay, Robin.
Starting point is 01:07:23 Thank you for your call, and I hope that this helps. And we'll have Morgan as much as she wants to, because I know it's personal stuff, but as much she wants to, we'll have her put up the information on our website, okay? Okay. Thank you so much. You guys, have a good day. Yeah, you too, appreciate that. And we will see you guys on Monday, all right. The Bobby Bones Show.
