Starting point is 00:02:42 Scoo the Steve Ray and Abbott's trying to put you through. Mike Dees writing this week's next bit. Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. This is the Bobby Bone Show. On the Bobby Bone Show now. Dirk's Bentley. I love him so. Dirk's Bentley.
Starting point is 00:03:04 Got a new song out today called She Hates Me. You've got a new studio. Yeah. First time. We built it just for you. We leave and go back to the old one today. It's Valentine's Day. I want to get to the point about this song.
Starting point is 00:03:15 I want to play it. Sure. Obviously some strategy here because that's like a breakup song, right? Yeah, it's like an anti-day Valentine's Day song, I guess. Anti-valent's Day. And you wrote it. Yeah, I wrote it with Ashley, Goreley, and Ross, our buddy Ross Copperman and Chase McGill.
Starting point is 00:03:30 It wasn't really meant to be, you know, we were writing some songs that day and hoping to get to another song. We just finished one, taking a little break and, you know, this kind of started, someone started playing the guitar and started playing this riff, and then this song kind of started happening. And it's kind of like, are we really going to write this song? And then, all right, let's write it.
Starting point is 00:03:48 So we wrote it in about 30 minutes and moved on to the next real song. And then this one just kind of stuck around. Wasn't really my pick for the first single initially. Because I usually lean towards more serious songs, even going back to what was I thinking. I didn't want that to be a single. but I just, it just was meant to be. And the fact that's coming out on Valentine's Day
Starting point is 00:04:08 is pretty funny. Okay, we're gonna play it. We get right to business. Then we're gonna have fun in a minute. Fun? Yeah. Oh, dude, do we have some fun playing for you? Bring in the Cupid's.
Starting point is 00:04:18 Bring in the dancing Cupid's. Wow. On the Bobby Bones show now. Dirk's Bentley. Make it fun of our headphones? No, I know. As we were playing Dirk's a song and we're like celebrating it. And he goes, these headphones are from 1988.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Well, the lunchbox is a lot nicer model there. They look the same. They're the same. Really are. Similar. Mine are definitely nicer. Softer. Softer.
Starting point is 00:04:37 Yeah, he's got the foam inserts. Valentine's Day, buddy. You all right? I'm good, yeah. This is, I've never really liked this holiday a whole lot anyway. So, yeah, it's just, you know, I used to have gigs back in the day at Station Inn where we had like the anti-day, anti-valent's day party. Had dressed black to get in.
Starting point is 00:04:52 It's just such a Hallmart holiday. I don't know. What do you think, Amy? You love this one? I'm not the most romantic person to ask, so I'm just sort of neutral about it. Are you committed to character, though, because your songs and break up song. No, no, no, no, not committed to. Because I feel like right now, he's Daniel Day Lewis.
Starting point is 00:05:07 He's Lincoln. He's staying in character. He's wearing all green. I am wearing all black. I feel like for guys out there, it's a tough holiday because let's say you're dating somebody. I'm sure lunch can help me on this. When you're dating somebody, the relationship's going pretty good. It's all right.
Starting point is 00:05:21 And all of a sudden this checkpoint shows up. You got to pass through. Like, okay, it's Valentine's Day. Do I get to the car? Do we go for jewelry? Are we going to, you know, if I say the wrong thing, it derails us. If I put too much into it, now we're like way ahead of where I wanted this. thing to be. It's kind of, it's not, it really can trip you up. So I've never been a huge fan of it.
Starting point is 00:05:39 At my house, every day, every day is Valentine's Day. Now we're talking. He's back, boys. He's not method acting anymore. He's back. In my house, McCass is home listening. She knows. Every day is Valentine's Day. But can you grace us with a love story of meeting your wife? Yeah. So I knew my wife in eighth grade. I was kind of had a crush on her, but then we went separate ways. Long story short, I was playing a show opening for George Strait in Las Vegas in February 5th of 2005 and she was going to come out just as a friend. I was like, yeah, we tried to date. It just wasn't meant to be. But I always liked her. She's one of my favorite people to be around. I was like, yeah, come to the show. So I'm on the back of my bus, the same bus that I still have. I'm watching
Starting point is 00:06:20 the movie Old School for the millionth time. This is pre, you know, iPhone. This is 2005. We had to watch DVDs and stuff to entertain ourselves. And she walked on the bus and I knew the second she walked on that we were going to get married, I just had those like, just, what do you mean? You knew. It's kind of like the first time I heard Hank Jr. I just like knew I was going to be a country singer. I just, when she walked on the bus, I just, I was like, we're getting married. I just, I did something. When did she know that? You were right. Well, she found out later that year when I was back in Las Vegas playing the last
Starting point is 00:06:51 show of the year and I, we're waking up next morning and my buddy Lee came in, who who does a lot of styling. He's the style of stuff for clothing for me. Still works with Luke Bryan. He walked in to our hotel room with a bunch of dresses. And she's like, we just got engaged the night before. And she's like, what's going on? I said, we're flying out of Mexico.
Starting point is 00:07:10 We're eloping today, and we're going on to Mexico to get married. And so we went down to Mexico and it was, me and her, the judge, I guess you call the person, and her interpreter, because everything was said in Spanish. And we got married. just the four of us being cast and those two people. And yeah. That's good. Yeah. So I peaked. That was my, I peaked 20 years ago. And ever since then, I have not been overly romantic. So I need to find a, maybe this should be the year that I do something really great again.
Starting point is 00:07:42 I can agree with you, though. When it feels forced, it doesn't feel authentic. Yeah. And this feels forced. But my helpful voice to our listener, or the guy listeners has been, don't feel. pressured, but understand if your love language is gift giving like mine is, like I look forward to this. Yeah. It's really, I'm bad at saying stuff. Gift giving is my love language. Yeah. However, if your girl works in an office where everybody's getting stuff and she doesn't, like you at least think of that, like think of her in that situation, not even that I got to be so romantic, but at least allow her to not feel ostracize it because she's at the office and she's different than everybody else because she's not getting. Yeah, but what about the social media
Starting point is 00:08:22 component? I feel the younger generation, everything has to be like every birthday, my queen and like you have to like really load up on all this stuff it's like oh my god well that's how i teased you coming in my queen dorks bentley's coming in so great my wife's not on social media it's like i don't have to like you know but it's still just the pressure of like you know the engagement you got to have the the photo the guy's going to be there to capture the moment it's like how's that off spontaneous so there's like a photographer waiting to capture the engagement moment i don't back in character guys we got him back hey uh i have a question a new song today called she hates me I have a question
Starting point is 00:08:54 I've been dying to ask Dirk's We're gonna do it in just a second Let us take a quick break Dirk's Bentley in studio And the question that I have been itching I thought it was a rash It wasn't It was that you were coming in
Starting point is 00:09:05 And I'm ready to ask you this I am your rash It is next Right there on your Yes yes When you said you like your first single It'll be something serious Like this song
Starting point is 00:09:13 It's been streamed the most Or like fun songs I know That's like The very first song I ever put out What was I thinking I fought so hard for that Not to be the single
Starting point is 00:09:20 I had the song I wish you would break It was a serious song. It's like what I think of myself as as a songwriter, I think of myself as I hold on and wish it would break and some of these heavier songs, but you look at the numbers, I guess I'm a, that's not
Starting point is 00:09:33 who I am. My favorite song of yours ever is not a single. I mean, I guess it was a single but it was so serious and slow at a time where I guess slow songs were like bad, but Bourbon and Kentucky my favorite song ever. I had a feeling you're going to say that. We had to pull that song because it just didn't really wasn't really doing on the radio and it was the first
Starting point is 00:09:51 single and came back with I Hold on and quickly got to drunk on a plane. But yeah, I love that song. I put it back in the set list a little bit now and then, especially now that I have a bourbon. Now that I have a bourbon, I'm a celebrity whiskey out there. What's it called?
Starting point is 00:10:03 What's your celebrity whiskey for? Because we need one more celebrity spirit. It was just missing one in the crowded field. Ro 94. Ro 94. And you described as three ingredients. And the truth. And the truth.
Starting point is 00:10:15 Okay. Oh, nice. I was an old, Harlan Howard was a great country songwriter in Nashville. He described country music as three chords and the truth. So we need that. You have a lot of young listeners out there, okay? Do you think you're at a hip-hop station right now?
Starting point is 00:10:29 I feel like I'm in an interrogation room. Yeah, what's happened in there? New studio, same vibe. It's very, you know, it's like everyone's lights are brown bright. The camera's recording me and I'm like, this chair that's, I think it has some electrocution lined up to it. If I say the wrong answer, I'm going to get shocked. That would be a final element. The shocking chair?
Starting point is 00:10:45 That would be good. Yeah, say the wrong thing. Okay, question. Yes. Are you going on Survivor? I'm not going right away. not now. It's open for the future, but there's... Wow, I didn't think you would answer that. Yeah, there was a lot of, so I posted something and it got kind of picked up. I wasn't even posting it for me. A friend of mine here in Nashville, she's been trying out for the show for a long time. I've been trying to help her. But I do love the show. And then the opportunity kind of like came back. There was a possibility even though I wasn't looking for it. And I had to kind of like really think about it. And I have a lot of respect for the contestants on that show. You know, it's one thing. Everyone watches it and goes, oh yeah, I could do that. I could do it. But man, I mean, I have three temperatea pillows like to.
Starting point is 00:11:26 have my position just right and I'm kind of like I don't know and also a lot of stuff going on with the album and the tour whatnot this year but at some point I'd love to maybe give it a try so it was an option though
Starting point is 00:11:40 it was an option yes yeah and it still is I think it might still be out there yeah I had a friendly response to it with the show talent with your friend that you've been helping now you better figure out a way for them to get on
Starting point is 00:11:55 Her name's Natalie Clements. She'd be amazing. She's like... Oh, wait, you didn't get her on? She's not on it yet. I've done funny videos with her. Like, we've eaten like rice. You've eaten like... That's like the meanest thing.
Starting point is 00:12:04 He's like, I want her to be on. Then he takes her spot. I know. That's why I can't do it, right? Exactly. He'll be like, if I come, she comes. Well, I don't think I take her spot because they kind of have a spot for each person, right?
Starting point is 00:12:13 There's this person that fits this kind of... Just as for Natalie's what I say. Wow. Lunchbox, how do you feel about that? Because you thought he was on. Man, I was like, good. I was going to have a beef with him. But now, no beef.
Starting point is 00:12:24 We're not beefing, no, we're good. No, beef. Why? Because he wants to be alive. Oh, he's your thing. Yeah, yeah. I love survival. It is his thing.
Starting point is 00:12:30 It is his thing. It is his thing. He's like, what anything I can promote himself on? He'd do, you know? How about the new one? There's even outside the more hardcore one. You see that one? Naked and afraid.
Starting point is 00:12:41 That's not you. He's definitely naked and afraid guy. That's him every morning here. That's what I'm saying. They all try to rip off Survivor and they're not survivor. Have you practiced making fire and everything with like Flint? I could make a little fire flint. Yeah, I'm a little practice.
Starting point is 00:12:53 A little practice. You still riding the bike? No, I haven't been, terrible. I haven't been riding the bike at all. No, I know. I was so into for a while. Then I started giving me like neck pain and I'm just, no, I'm still playing hockey. Like I got a men's group on Tuesdays.
Starting point is 00:13:06 So the neck pain from riding the bike, but you're hockey in, you're hockey in with no physical limitations at all. There's a guy named Bobby Ryan who's like, you know, he's the second overall draft pick back in 2003. And I skate with him. And I ran into him to their day. and I'd never had a stinger before. I watched a lot of football.
Starting point is 00:13:22 You watch guys walking off the field but they can't move an arm and it compressed my neck back so badly and I couldn't move my arm. I go, oh, it's just a stinger. You know, because that's what they say on TV. Like, he'll be fine, it's just a stinger. Let me tell you, a stinger really hurts.
Starting point is 00:13:35 Like, you can't move your arm for like five minutes. So I got that the other day. Thanks, Bobby. But different Bobby, Bobby Ryan. The two injuries that have kind of a fun kind of name that really hurt, stingers? Stingers.
Starting point is 00:13:47 And turf toe. Turftoe. sounds fun. Yeah. Kills. It's a football language for like you just stub your toe. Yes. Actually break like your big toe.
Starting point is 00:13:56 It's like a tiny bone injury. He's like turf toe. He's got his bell wrong. He'll be fine. Yeah. Bell wrong. Yeah. Another,
Starting point is 00:14:01 another tough one. A stinger. I mean, that really hurt. Yeah, it was pretty pathetic. I just kind of bumped into him and like hurt pretty bad. But no, not cycling a lot. Pick a ball?
Starting point is 00:14:10 And speaking of basketball, I'm going to the, the Vanderbilt, Arkansas game, March 4th. My daughter's singing the national anthem. Really? Yeah, you're going to go to that game? Probably. All right. Can I do background vocals?
Starting point is 00:14:22 Amazing, yeah. It's not even about the game. I just want to get up there. That's really cool. Yeah. I mean, that's aside from the basketball game part. Yeah. Is she nervous about that?
Starting point is 00:14:31 She excited? I'm nervous. I mean, she's done it once before at a high school game, and it was the most nerve-wracking thing I've ever been part of because that song is such a, it's the song, and it's really hard to sing. I don't know why. I've sung it several times. And looking back on it, I don't know why I ever even thought about it.
Starting point is 00:14:47 It's just there's no one's situation unless you're Chris Stapleton or Whitney Houston. It's just a hard one to sing. But she does pretty good on it. While you thought about it's because you love the country, but then once you're in it, you're like, man, it's a hard song to sing. I love the country, but I don't like this song. Blindly loves the country and says yes and then gets in it.
Starting point is 00:15:03 That song is so hard to sing. It gets, you have to start so low. Yeah, you got to find that. Or you start too low. You know, that I sing it one time for the Titans and I was worried about starting too high. I started too low. And then you get to those Trace Atkins notes
Starting point is 00:15:16 Oh gosh, I can't Base, you're basically using bass lines. Can't just kind of fade out there Then come back in Are you playing pickleball at all? Yeah. Are we gonna play sometime? We are, it's gotten cold. It's too cold.
Starting point is 00:15:26 Right. Last time we were playing One of the writers on Dirk's song is a great friend of mine And we play a lot and so I text Dirk I was like, are you coming over? And I think maybe you saw a little something I saw some, I think maybe you saw a little something
Starting point is 00:15:40 You were a little intimidated by it. I had to go put a little more time in You know, get my game up to up to speed. But yeah, I'm ready when it warms up for sure. Yeah, it's just cold. Okay, we have a game
Starting point is 00:15:50 we're gonna play. You're gonna be the first one to do it officially in just a second. You're gonna like it. Right. You think we're always up to something. No, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:15:57 We're on to some back of the YMCA. Back in the day. That might have been we're all started for you. Are you announcing a tour after, like, today? Yes. But not now.
Starting point is 00:16:07 You can't, they're not gonna let you do it now. I'm just saying, if you want to, if you want to, you can, but I don't want to if there's like a noon the earth is coming together. Can we announce the tour?
Starting point is 00:16:18 I mean, it's a good one. Take a break. We'll come back. She said just for just for you. Okay. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:16:28 Yep, that's me, Clever Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. There's two golden rules that any man should live by.
Starting point is 00:17:33 Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 00:17:59 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:18:22 Everyone, I'm Ego Vodam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a
Starting point is 00:18:52 place that come look for up-and-coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:23 It would not be. Right. It wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. This week on the Sports Slice podcast, it's all about the NFL draft. And we've got a special guest.
Starting point is 00:19:40 The director of the NFL's East West Shrine Bowl, Eric Galco, joins the Sports Slice podcast to break down what really matters when evaluating draft prospects. From hidden traits teams look for to the biggest mistakes franchises make to the players flying under the radar. This is the insight you won't hear anywhere else. If you want to understand the draft like an insider, you don't want to miss this episode. Listen to the Sports Slice Podcast on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, for wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:20:07 And for more, follow Timbo Slica Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok. On the Bobby Bones show now. Dirk's Bentley. You know Dirk's from. I thought he's got 22 number ones. Wow. That is crazy. That is so rich.
Starting point is 00:20:21 He's right here next year. That is so rich. Is there good money in a New York Times number one bestseller? Yes. Okay. It's like honestly, you have the real talk? Yeah, I'm serious.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Yeah. The first book that I did, they offered a medium to low guarantee, which I did not accept because I'd never written a book and I was like, I'm not going to take anything if it's not. So I wrote like half of it. and then I took the money. It was like $150,000.
Starting point is 00:20:45 Okay. For a first book. Yeah. But then it was high back end. And it was a four week number one. So it did well. I would compare it from what I know. Bet on yourself.
Starting point is 00:20:54 If you write a number one song with two other writers, it's about that pay. Yeah. Second book was better because I had one already, so they gave me a bigger guarantee. Okay. That's the real talk. Why are you going to write a book? Well, I mean, I'm trying to make that Bobby Bones money. No, no.
Starting point is 00:21:08 How do you get there? It's not. It is not. Okay, so we're going to start the official Bobby Bone Show Bopit League where artists will come in. And we've done this before with artists, but we haven't kept track. Dirk says, when I pulled out Bopit, you've got to thought I pulled in an alien from another planet. You've never played Bopit? Looks like a child story.
Starting point is 00:21:25 It is a child story. It is a child story. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah. Pull it, twist it. So, this is what will happen. Pull it, twist it, all right. You hit the button here. I'll do that.
Starting point is 00:21:33 Do the battery. Pull it, pull it first. Okay. Okay. Now, look, this is, it's Bopit. That's Bopet. Okay. Twist it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Pull it. Yeah, this is a good bus game. Bop it. Love it, guys. You play this on the bus? Okay, we got to get him some whiskey or something. He says it would be a good bus game. He hasn't played it.
Starting point is 00:21:51 I know. Well, we do some dumb stuff up there. So a little whiskey and Bopit could be pretty fun. Okay, so you're going to play Boppet. Now, the thing is, guys, when he's playing, we have to be quiet at the end because we have to hear the score. Right. So you can take one practice run, and we'll stop you, but just so you can get the hang of it. So go ahead and pull it, right?
Starting point is 00:22:09 Now, it'll tell you. I got it. Okay, he's got it. Like, he's cocky now. Okay, okay. You did get cocky though. He did get cocky, though. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:22 So pull the mic down a little bit so we can hear it. Here we go. I get the grip just right. It's getting faster. 18. 18. 18's so weak. That's low, huh?
Starting point is 00:23:05 Yeah, that's real bad. I don't, what do you miss? I got a lot, though. What is the record? You got 18. For an artist, 18. Then what's your record? What's your record?
Starting point is 00:23:15 Well, the high there was 70-something. Seven time for that. He's got stuff to do, interviews to do. Yeah, he probably gave up for us. I purposely didn't twist it when I should have pulled. You will go on the scoreboard with a score of 18. Well, okay. I'll do it off camera here.
Starting point is 00:23:29 We'll get it. Well, that's like throwing a pass when the lights aren't on. I'm thinking about the fans. They're listening to the radio. They don't hear me to play Bopit for 70. I could probably go to 100. I'm a pilot. Well, we just asked them.
Starting point is 00:23:38 We said, would you rather hear a Dirk song or Bopit? And they pick Bopett. What does me and a pilot have to do with it? I don't know. It just sounded good. He just wants to remind people. He only got to 17 or 18, but you can fly a plane. There's a great meme about like a guy at a wedding or funeral and that goes,
Starting point is 00:23:50 anybody have anything to say? And the guy's like, I'm a pilot. Another guy's like, I do CrossFit. Always looking. Another one's like, I'm a vegan. Exactly. Always looking for an opportunity to drop that in there. Okay, so a couple things.
Starting point is 00:24:02 Dirk's new song, She Hates Me, is out today. The tour gets announced Monday. We'll be happy to share that on Monday. I would love you to do that. He has a whiskey called Roe 94, three ingredients in the truth. If you don't drink, there's a week. With Coe, which is a non-alcoholic mixer. Yes, I've had that.
Starting point is 00:24:19 It's so good. Made here in Tennessee? Yeah, you can get the margarita one, but you just don't add the tequila. There you go. But does it taste sweet? Or do I need it like all natural? All good. No preservatives, no Jesus made in Dixon, Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:24:31 For the people that don't drink, we know some of those people in our lives that shouldn't be drinking anymore. I actually gifted something to Caitlin like for her birthday of Christmas one time. I know we can't stop talking about it. It's all we've had since Christmas every day. There we go. Dirk's always lovely to see you. Congratulations on the new song. Thanks, guys.

We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. In this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
Starting point is 00:32:37 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends.

Starting point is 00:33:27 I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come, look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved.
Starting point is 00:33:43 And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah. It would not be... Right, it wouldn't be that.
Starting point is 00:34:05 There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Hey, Morgan, is this a real life story about you
Starting point is 00:34:55 or is this one of those finger quotes? No, this is real life. Okay, Morgan dating story. Okay, go ahead. Yeah, so I was on a date with a guy and we're sitting there talking. Everything was going fine. But somehow we stumble upon this conversation and he admits that he's in this massive group chat with a bunch of his friends and a bunch of like random stranger guys that all
Starting point is 00:35:18 they do is send a bunch of not safe for work videos, photos of women. What? Okay. Many, many questions first. Why would he tell you this? What date is this? It's a date from Hinge. It was the first date.
Starting point is 00:35:36 No, like, first date. He admits on a first date that he's in a text group where they sent a bunch of naked pictures, just a bunch of dudes. Yep. Yeah, he even, like, showed me it. I saw it.
Starting point is 00:35:47 What? So it was like he was making it up. How does it come up? We were just talking about, like, funny group chats that were in, and I had mentioned how, like, I hate group chats sometimes because they go off.
Starting point is 00:35:58 He's like, oh, speaking of, mine's, like, blowing up right now. And I'm like, well, Is it like important? Do you need to get something? He's like, no, this is just something I've been. And I kind of pushed him on it because he did kind of like try and side sweep it. And I was like, no, tell me about your group chat.
Starting point is 00:36:13 And he came out with it. You can't go out with this guy again. No. Now, this is my opinion. And we go around the room. You can't go out with this guy again. For a couple of reasons. One, he's not even smart enough to lie about the group chat.
Starting point is 00:36:26 He's already disgusting for being in. So the super second symptom is, he brings it up like an idiot that he's in one. And then he admits that he's in some disgusting naked group chat. He's the dumb, dumb. But if you go even deeper, the fundamental, who's in a group chat with a bunch of dudes that send them naked girls? That to me feels disgusting.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Okay. But let let lunchbox have his minute here too. Lunchbox will have some reason. But who gets in a chat with people you don't even know, which feels even more gross? This is so gross on so many levels, and he's dumb. You cannot go out with this guy again. That would be my opinion.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Now, we're going to save the lunchbox for the headliner here because I'm sure I'll have controversial opinions, but Amy, you're up. I mean, no, this is disgusting. It's the reddest red flag I've ever heard of in my life. That's a good one. It's the reddest flag, yep. It's like...
Starting point is 00:37:18 It's Texas A&M, Maroon. It can't get more red than this. And the fact that he doesn't find that it's completely disgusting and disrespectful to be sharing pictures. These poor girls have no idea. Oh, no, no, no. I thought it could be stuff from the internet, too, where they, I'm not thinking it's just pictures of people they know. I'm thinking it's just naked girls from the internet.
Starting point is 00:37:38 Yeah, and that's what it was. It's just a bunch of naked photos, videos that are already on the internet that they're then sharing in this group chat. That's what I thought. Okay. I thought it was where, I didn't know if I, no. You know, like, you know, some girl sends this guy. Yeah, yeah, but we're not there. So I don't even know, I don't even want to go there because that's a whole different place.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Well, still red flag. I agree. So we will agree there. It's, it's roll tied. red and there are different reds. Arkansas, it's a cardinal red. It's not as dark. Dark, dark red? That's it. That's a bad one. With guys you don't even know. Crimson. I mean, Morgan, have you listened to Granny and Grandpa talk? Now you're going to listen to reality, okay? It's not a big deal. Who cares if a bunch of dudes send naked videos like if they see something
Starting point is 00:38:20 that's funny online, like, oh, look what she's doing? Funny? You think this is a comedy thread? She jumps out of a birthday cake. Isn't that hilarious or you see a funny clip you send it to your friends? And you probably get added into this group, like you have a group of friends and then they have a friend maybe they work with that they add to the group text. So you don't know them, but you know them by osmosis. Like you are attached to them. You know what osmosis is? I don't think you do in this case. Sometimes you get them. I don't think you do here. No, but it's a word that's like relatable. No, that's not what that means. Because, yeah, it's like, Eddie knows someone. So if Eddie's friends with him, like, he adds me to the group text, it's like, I kind of know the guy through Eddie. It's no big deal.
Starting point is 00:38:59 Okay, that's not osmosis, but I feel you, but continue on. Yeah, and he was even up front about it. Like, it's not like he lied about it. He tried to lie, though, dude. No, no, no, no, he didn't try to lie because she said, group chats, blah, blah, blah, blah, and he straight up said, oh, I'm in this one that's kind of annoying. He told her right about it right up front.
Starting point is 00:39:17 He wasn't trying to hide naked girls. He just said it's a little funny thing that we laugh at during the day. Like, it's something to break up the workday. Not a big deal. I don't think it's a comedy thread. Dude, it's not like they're good. They're not going home. home and looking at this and going, oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:39:31 It's just something funny at work like, oh, I came across this on the internet. So if your wife got onto your phone and you had a group text, a bunch of guys just sending negative pictures and videos of other strange women, like if I told her about it? I don't think he wanted to tell her. I tried to get out of it. But did he tell you straight up. It's about naked chicks. But this is what she's up.
Starting point is 00:39:49 I did press him on it. He wasn't like coming out and just saying it. I kind of pressed him to be like, hey, what's the context? It's a gateway. Yes. Gateway to what? I don't think, this is not comedy, though. It's a gateway to more things to come if you get into a relationship with this guy that are going to be very problematic.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Okay, so would it be a red flag if like every third Thursday of the month he goes to the dance club with his friends? Yes. For me, yes. Oh, yeah. Oh, my gosh. It's a tradition, man. Okay, maybe if you said a bachelor party every year every month, every month. Maybe if you said a bachelor party every 10 years or something.
Starting point is 00:40:28 but you went every third person. They've been doing it for, you know, 10 years. It's just something they do. It's not a big deal. I know, it's weird. Embrace naked, guys. Like, why are we so? I don't mind embracing.
Starting point is 00:40:41 I don't, no, no, no, I don't mind naked. It doesn't matter. That's your opinion. I'm like, I don't agree with it, but I can just stop talking about it. Is that fair? Yeah. Would you like to hear what osmosis is? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:40:56 Like, for example, osmosis to me. me a funny way or I would be like if I slept if I put my head on a book and I slept on it and then this doesn't happen but if all this stuff came into your brain because you're sleeping on the book I would be like I learned that through osmosis but like imagine you have a cup of water and you put a gummy bear in the water okay so at first the gummy bear is small in the water but after a while the gummy bear obviously gets bigger that's because the water moves into the gummy bear through tiny tiny invisible holes and then the water wants to spread out and make things even and so it's inside of it that is osmosis oh i just learned about this with my son except for
Starting point is 00:41:33 the his schoology or whatever we were using used to potato instead of a yeah potato's great because the water will balance it out like if the water's in there wherever the water is it's not going to stay concentrated to one place where it's all a lopsided it'll the water then balances out to be also it goes inside of it and that's osmosis so just wanted to describe osmosis i like lunchboxes ability sometimes to throw words in, but I do need to say, hey, that's not the accurate representation or definition of the word. Did you understand?
Starting point is 00:42:03 Yeah, I understood it now, but I thought it was close. I mean, I thought it was kind of close. I wonder what you were looking for, but that's okay. I think maybe, you know, like you got a bunch of molecules hanging out together. He was like, hey, it's just like osmosis. He's like strip club every Thursday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:19 Morgan, are you going out with them again? No, no, I'm not. Yeah. It had been over right there for me. Well, I'm curious though, if you are on a date with this person and this happens, like, do you finish the date or do you just up and leave? I don't up and leave because I'm not so offended personally because nothing's happening illegal, but I don't think it's somebody that I want to be with. Right. And I think I probably cut it shorter with natural ways to cut it shorter.
Starting point is 00:42:45 Like I don't hang around. We don't go for something after. You may run into them again. I don't, yeah, I don't leave. I don't got to go. I got diarrhea. I got to go home. That doesn't happen. Because it does happen another time. Okay, I did. I didn't, you know, I finished the date. I didn't leave. You were looking for now. You were looking for now. You didn't like him anyway. This is just an excuse. No, this is bigger than an excuse. She might not have liked them. But I would imagine if this is in a thread with a bunch of dudes he doesn't know. There are other things about him that she probably doesn't like. But I don't think this would be the thing. If everything else was perfect, I can't believe this would be something that exists in that guy's life. I didn't mean to cut you off, Amy. What do you want to say? Oh, no. I didn't know. I didn't. mean, okay, you all. I was just trying to think of what would make me ever get up halfway through
Starting point is 00:43:26 the day and leave early without waiting. And it would have to be. Someone saying like the N-word. Yeah, racism. I'm out. I don't mind that. Give me some. No. Yeah, different for girls. Yeah, racism. And I'm stuff like that stuff. I would just be like, we're not the same. I have to go. God bless you. Ser time for murdering my... Well, yeah, well, that's a whole different. That's not you for not Googling that. You got to Google some of that stuff.
Starting point is 00:44:00 Okay, thank you, Morgan. Never date him again, okay? Yeah, okay. Lobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from Miami, Florida. A guy owns a car dealership, sells a car to a dude.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Six months later, he misses one payment. Car dealership owner's like, I got to go get that car. Finds him at a stoplight. Comes up, bangs on his wind. window, flashes a gun, says, give me the keys. Sat there, carjacked him at the stoplight. Wow. Yeah, that's extra repo. I don't know what the rules are on repo. I don't think it's one payment. We missed a lot of
Starting point is 00:44:34 payments growing up. Did he buy it? Like, not under contract. Was it verbal contract? No, no, it was a contract. Oh, but I'm definitely picturing it. It's one of those places on the side of the road that doesn't even look like a car dealership, but it has a bunch of cars. And it's just like, we agree, but then if you missed. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Amy, you're exactly right. And the car dealership owner has been sentenced to eight years in prison for carjacking. Wow. So you have to do it at night when no one's looking with a tow truck.
Starting point is 00:44:56 The tow truck. That's crazy. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day. Eddie, what happened? I almost lost two of my kids. I mean, you lost them.
Starting point is 00:45:07 Like to heaven. Like, lost them. Like, they almost died, dude. That's just a funny way to say that. Okay, go ahead. So I've never done this before, but my 17-year-old, obviously, he drives. He has a license. And my other son had practice.
Starting point is 00:45:20 So I say, hey, will you go pick up? Our other son, please the practice. Yeah, no problem. He gets in his car. He leaves. And like 20 minutes later, I get a FaceTime and he's like, Dad! Dad!
Starting point is 00:45:32 Oh my goodness, I can't see out of my car. The DeFrost isn't working. People are honking at me. I'm in someone's yard. And then my other son, who's 11 years old, is crying in the backseat. Like, Dad, they're going to shoot us. We're in someone's yard. Yeah, he thinks like.
Starting point is 00:45:46 Oh, it's a yard. Yeah, he thinks the neighbors or someone's going to come out of the house and be like, what are you doing in our yard? And so apparently he's going to, he's going to do in our yard. And so apparently he's, he's, he's, couldn't work the defrost button and the whole windows got fogged up and he couldn't see anything and he said that they almost died they almost got hit by four cars until he ditched it and went into someone's yard oh my so do you put this blame on yourself at all kind of because like I guess
Starting point is 00:46:11 I've never taught him about the defrost button but I just assume like you're you drive this is your car this is how you roll the windows down this is how you lock the doors this is the defrost button. And I just never taught them about defrost. You could also teach Amy. Rude. I mean, she's driven to work with like a tiny hole. And we've all probably
Starting point is 00:46:36 not let our car fully defrost, which is not safe. And you're like looking through a small selection. Mine was ice, not just like fog. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, it was like ice. Yeah. So wait, how far were they in the yard?
Starting point is 00:46:52 He said that they started on a driveway, but since he couldn't see, he felt that it got rough, and then they just ended up in the front yard. Wow. And then what did you do to help them out of the situation? I said, stay right there. I will go meet you and figure it out. How deep are they in the yard when you got there? I didn't get there because they called me back and said, you know what, Dad, we figured out there's a little button here that's got little wavy things on it, and that just fixed everything. I'm like, yeah, that's called a defrost button.
Starting point is 00:47:14 That's what you should have hit to begin with. All seriousness, if they're like people are honking and they're pulling a yard, you almost lost two kids to heaven. Scary, man. Yeah. Scary. And I was talking to Amy, too, earlier about, like, you know, oh, what if, like, you know, I have to go pick up all my kids from school, but I can't do it.
Starting point is 00:47:30 Do I send my son? Because, yeah, like. This is a good lesson. I wouldn't keep him from doing that because of this. No, he was, like, he doesn't want to put all of his kids in the same car with the oldest son. Like president, vice president? He could lose them all. That's what I'm saying.
