You don't feel it? Because it looks different, but you're in it, so maybe you don't see it being so different. Yeah, I think we're just kind of, we've been so busy with everything. It's just kind of, I haven't really stepped back and taking a wider view of it. But, yeah, I think it's, nothing's really changed for us, except for less time getting to hunt. any more grandma's coming to shows now are you starting to see like the honestly yeah but they come to here like high road and you know sweet dreams and stuff off the new record and then you know we have our rowdy show with all the older stuff and a lot of f bombs

and their eyes are about this big around and like what do we get ourselves into they start flashing you all the grandmas get into it yeah yeah and they're not like they're not like biker grandmas you know that would flash us it's like old nice petite lady and then they're just kind of like, oh, he's shit. Should we leave? So we stay here? So that's kind of... They probably just moved to the back a little bit,

just in case they want to leave. You know, you have been doing this at a high level for a long time. But I would compare a bit to... Because I'm a big fan of Red Clay Strays. And I've had them in six months ago. And I was like, guys, like, I didn't know you existed. And I didn't feel like you guys weren't doing dances on TikTok. But like, somebody was smart enough to just record you playing music.

Yeah, for sure. And so I became a fan through TikTok, but they were not a TikTok. artist. You are not a TikTok artist because you've been doing this, but do you feel that that has been a different instrument for people that like your kind of music to then love you? Yeah, absolutely. I think, you know, the way everything is going now, like you said, with the TikTok stuff, it's kind of, you kind of having what they call the overnight successes, and it's definitely a real deal nowadays. Hell, I think I get thrown into that conversation as well,

but they don't see the 10 years that we came up and, you know, been grounding it out in Texas and and all over the place. So, I mean, they can definitely relate to us, I guess, as much as a TikTok artist. But I don't know. But I think TikTok artist is a weird thing. That's why I didn't want to put you in that club because red clay strays are not that.

Right? That's just somebody that my algorithm feeds me things like you, like Marcus King. Like, it's stuff like that where then I'm going, oh. And also I was like, oh, Co's nuts. Well, that's why I was also warned. Is the only, I told Coe this. my house. He was the only artist I've ever been warned about coming to my house. And I'm like,

what's going to do steals? Like, why not? He's going to loot? Like, what's about to happen? And then he came over and it was like, and sure, you know, I'm a little more muscular, a little meaner. But, you know, we definitely like, after you left, I was like, that's my dude. My dog. Did he take anything? I don't, not that I know of yet. I haven't done like a full inventory check. Yeah, I'm going to say, you hadn't looked early enough. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so I'm going to ask you a couple question. We spent an hour together, so I already know everything I didn't know, but I got some stuff that I wrote down. This is a little deeper stuff because I feel like you get pigeonholed into, that's just crazy

co, or I know after spending some time with you. Like, that's an intimate thing, an hour, just like sharing live stuff. I feel like you're not offering up your deep emotions on stage, but I think you're a very emotional guy with many layers. So I wrote these questions down for you, Co, because this is what I really want to know. What has gone really well in your life so far? What's gone really well for me in my life? I guess growth, honestly, it's just kind of from where I was, you know, starting out, you know, musically, it doesn't have to be musically,

but I think for me, just kind of going through all the rough patches that I have in my life and then getting to where I am today and being able to look back on them and look back on the, you know, the things that I did wrong and, you know, learning from the mistakes that I've made. you know and that's helped me musically as a writer as an artist as a person

so question two deep questions with co if your next five years were a chapter in a book what would that chapter be about about how the empire started to grow the start of the show basically like working up to this ultimate goal this ultimate goal

and then getting there and then kind of starting to fill out all the kinks, you know, layering everything out and being like, all right, step one's pretty much over with how everything started to come to fruition. Final intimate question with Co. What makes you feel most alive? Alone time. Yeah. To recharge?

Yeah, just to kind of reflect on everything. Like, since, like, I've been out in the woods a lot here in the last couple weeks, and so I was talking to my family the other day. and I was just like, you know, whenever I'm out in the woods and I'm out and I'm hunting or doing whatever, it just kind of gives me a lot of time to reflect on everything and kind of reset everything. And, yeah, so I enjoy my alone time a lot because I'm always around people, even whenever I'm back home, you know.

So get to spend time away from all the craziness and stuff that's kind of came along with where we're at right now. Yeah, it's pretty special to me. Do you feel pressure to be co-wetzel at times whenever you're doing private life? Not really. You know, my mom, she always wants to be taking her out to dinner and stuff. And, you know, I know, and I do sometimes. But I don't know, sometimes it's kind of overwhelming at times.

But it's not terrible about it. Like I've always said, you know, I'd rather it be that than to, have nobody listen to what I got to say and, you know, just sitting at the house. Your parents, you have to be specific. What did they do growing up when you were growing up? My dad, he had a lot of different jobs. He drove trucks. He's worked road construction for the last 20 years or so.

My mom, she worked for the bank for a while. She's been with the school for, I don't know, close to 20 years now. So, yeah, she kind of skipped around on jobs. I asked that to set up this next question, and I'm happy to bleep out the next question. And it was to say that you are not a guy with a silver spoon that was put in your mouth at all. No. Anything that you have, you have earned, and you have grinded it out, right? And it's funny to hear because at times, you know, the same thing has been said in a different way about me.

Wow, what an overnight success. And it's like, bro, I've been killing myself for 15 years to be an overnight success. So everything that you have is earned. You're trying to buy an airplane? I heard you've been trying my airplane. Airplane. Yeah, yeah. I got a call.

I got a call. I got a call. Ask if I knew you. Somebody trying to sell you. Airplane. Okay, we'll leave it there. That's good enough. That's a good enough answer.

See, that's what I like. See, this guy's killing it and he did it all. Like, he's just grinding it out. Yeah, I got a low call. Don't worry about that, though. No, that's all good. We'll take it out. Yeah, get a drink of water.

Yeah, I'll talk about that. So here's what I want to say. I want to say a couple things. First of all, by the way, who knew you were all Christmas. man, I'm a man of mystery, man. Like you said, a lot of layers. That's one of them, even before Thanksgiving. I think November hits, dude, I'm into it.

Big at the house when you were growing up? Your mom making a big deal about it? Yeah, very, very big holiday. Mom's really big into it. My pops is, too. It's like, like I said, we didn't have a lot growing up, but they made sure every Christmas that it was super special, you know. So big Santa guy.

and I was like, what does they even mean? And then, again, a joke, and I love you, but you didn't steal anything. I just want to make sure everybody knows that. You didn't steal anything. But there was a story about an HVAC guy stealing your stuff. Yeah. What the heck happened? Dude.

So, every time I come home, you know, I'm a big watch collector, so I've got a couple watches at the house. And I get home, first thing I do, unpack, and I usually have, I usually take two or three watches with me on the road because we're gone for months at a time, you know. So I get home, and I usually, I've got my case. I pull it out, and I, you know, got them where they are, where I know they are all the time, right? So I'm putting my watches and I'm like, hmm, I'm missing one or two. And I've always got them, you know, getting, you know, rewound or cleaned or something. So it's not not a normal for me to have them gone somewhere. Anyway, I'm like, I'm calling everybody.

I'm like, hey, are my watch is gone? Like, did I give you a watch to take to somebody? And they're like, no, don't know what you're talking about. So I start freaking out. I start calling everybody. Nobody can figure out where they're at. And as I'm on the phone with my manager, because he usually takes him and gets him clean to whatever, I noticed another watch is missing.

I'm like, what the hell's going on? So then I start doing like a clean sweep of the house. I had, you know, X amount of money gone, just little stuff. I'm just like, man, this is weird. So I just, I put on Instagram or Twitter or whatever. I was like, you know, I can't stand a thief. And when that's going on, man, there's so many things going on. on through your head or whatever, you know.

And I have a get-togethers at the house, but nobody, you know, really goes to my room. You know, it's kind of one of those deals. And so it's just all these things are going through your head. Well, the next day, the HVAC place called me, and I forgot that I had had the new digital thermostats put in. And one was put in my room. And the guy called me, he was like, hey, we fired a guy the other day. And we had a suspicion that he's been stealing stuff.

And we were like, well, that. but it wouldn't be a couple Rolexes and some cash, right? And he goes, well, we've got one of the Rolexes. The other one is we're working on getting. We don't have the cash, but we've got clone, some Gucci glasses, some slippers. So this dude just went in and like ransacks my whole bedroom, bro. Wait, you have Gucci slippers? Gucci slippers?

Oh, okay. I don't know if they were Gucci slippers. But, yeah, Gucci shades. Like, he just, I was like, how does a guy, like, walk out? with all this stuff. Hey, same bro. Hey, okay,

okay. I'm going to let you hate on them. I know, I'm pulling mine out. I'm not letting you hate on them. Yeah, yeah, go. I stole them. They're mine.

Sorry, Cole. I mean, Cove's vibe is like, I wouldn't picture him in that. But just like, I'm just imagining. And then he goes through my liquor cabinet. There was,

he stole like two or three bottles of really nice liquor too. And so I was just like, I'm trying to picture this dude leaving my house with all this, carrying all this stuff. Because he was with like two other dudes. Like,

and it was just, It was mind-blown. I finally, you know, we got with the cops, whatever, got everything back, and it was like, well, here's this, you know, they have everything marked. I'm cloned. You got it back? I got most of it back. I never got my cash back, but he pawned one of the Rolexes for like, it's like a one-of-one.

It's like a custom Rolex, and he pawned it, I think he got like $1,200 for it. That's what I said. Oh, my God. Wait, so can you go get it back, though? It's still on the property, yeah. You know who takes the hit the pawn? Pond shop. Yeah.

Dude. But I'm sure they have insurance for that. I was blown away. As somebody's been around a lot of pawn shops. But like, if you're a pawn shop and it's, well, what do you say? It was one of one, but is there anything that would indicate that it sure was on there at all, like engraved? No, I mean, I think we just hit up every pawn shop around there and you're like, have you got a Rolex recently, you know?

And, yeah, it was. Dang, dude. It's insane, man. Yeah. Nobody else would be coming to my house. No. After that. I'd be doing my own H-Back.

You on YouTube. I mean, I have, you know, I had pistols. was laying around and he just grabbed like I said, clone, shades bottles of liquor like it's weird. It's to walk out. That's someone robbed my house once too, right? And I just can't imagine how they got out with all the stuff.

Unless they're making multiple trips in and out and I'm like, how ballsy? Did this go in and out? Like just grabbing stuff and like loading up and going back for another round. I was and it sucked too because like I said you don't want to accuse anybody but you just start thinking like, all right, who's been at the house? You know,

And she always has these mess ups. And she had another huge blunder. One time, Amy did a whole podcast. No, the first 15 minutes of the episode. You had to stop the whole thing. I did after 15 minutes in. Well, let me explain what it is before you jump in. I'll defend myself.

Amy had a guest on and never pushed record. And then you have one where you did what only one person's mic was on. Oh, that was a whole day. That was with Morgan. She did a whole episode and never pushed record on the other microphone. Well, no, I just assumed the pod was up because we've been recording in there. And Morgan even said, should we test this out? And I was like, no, we're good.

And then all you hear in the episode is me talking. and Morgan sounds like this in the background. It was good too. One, Amy, never pushed a board. On the second one, she never turned a microphone on her guest. This is over like years and years and years and years. And you know what? You're a good person.

You're super lovable, but let's move on with the lunchbox. Yeah, because I don't even know what he's about to say. Oh, she don't? I don't know if she knows it or not. What? But she recorded the women of IHeart country. This is not my fault. And she had pressed a button on the board

where she also recorded it at the same time 25 whistles is going on. So she is recording 25 whistles and women of I heart country. Ray, hit the clip. On women of I heart country. So if I'm back about women in Wilson, she actually had to be like they were flying by. All right. All right. So we got to stop that.

What the heck. She turned that in. No. No, no, no, no, no, I saved it. The problem is, I don't know what button syncs up with when y'all are recording 25 whistles. Did you not hear on your headphones? No. Did you not have headphones on?

Oh, my gosh, you have to wear headphones. Stop. I was in Kevin's studio or Kevin's little setup and he had that button on. And normally it's not on. So it's his fault. No, I'm not saying. No, I take the responsibility. I should have the headphones on.

But then even if I had heard y'all, I'd been like, I don't know what button pressed. So what did you do with that audio? Oh, I redid it. The whole thing? How long did, how much did you do of it? It was, luckily, y'all had started 25 whistles towards the tail end of my recording. Thank the Lord. So I didn't have to redo the entire show.

But yeah. Hang in there. Except there was one specific thing that I wanted to hear that I needed to redo, but I didn't have her down because I just did it from my head. And I had to listen through. y'all talking to try to figure out what I said because I thought it was funny. Yeah, that's hard to hear. It took me a while. I was like, wait a second. I was writing down like every other word

that I said. Yeah. Lunchbox, thank you. Yeah, thanks lunch. Good job, lunch. Good job, lunch. I had no idea. He knew about that. Did you know about that? Yes, because I've already re-recorded it. But still, somebody should have been. like, hey, we're having a Christmas party. But I did get invited. Yes. Okay, cool. I'm good then. I wouldn't have gone anyway, but I just want to be invited to things. But Morgan, so what was the, like, what happened?

What was the party? Yeah, so it was at J.BJ's, which is John Bon Jovi's bar here in Nashville. It's funny. There was so little talk about that opening. And if somebody said, does John Bon Jovi have a bar in Nashville? I'd be like, no. Luke, Brian does. I didn't know there was the John Bon Jovi's, but good to know.

Yeah. So is it like 80s, is it like 80s of a removiance? stuff in there? Yeah, it's all JBJ stuff, and it's also like... Why you call it? That's what's called. I know the bar, but I'm saying like... That's what the bar's called. Let's be on, Morgan's too young, and we barely make the cusp of Bon Jovi. I lived it, man. You had an older brother. Yes. You had an older brother. So cool bar, a lot like all the other ones downtown. And so it was just food and hanging out and stuff? Food, hanging out. There was an open bar. Oh, good for you guys, an open bar.

That's cool. I mean, at work night, but still, the fact, they used to do these parties at 2 p.m. at work. And we were like, we already left work. We're not going back to work to hang out with people that were already at work. I don't know that it was 2 p.m., but it was like 4 p.m. It was in the daytime. It was in the daytime.

It was during the day time. It was 6 to 9. Highlight of the night? The highlight was Lunchbox Wars hoodie again. Saw. And also, I noticed that Lunchbox really likes to claim, one, that he loves free stuff and two, that he is like the party guy, right? He didn't have a single drink of alcohol.

He's not the party guy. He's not Mr. Vegas anymore. Wrong. I used to be. No, no. I had a soccer game afterwards, so I couldn't drink because I was going to play soccer. Renaldo, you're going to be okay at your game? Yeah.

It's messy. I'm sure some people drink before wrecking. They definitely do. I think they pregame reclating sometimes. I think they do it while playing sometimes. Correct. Lunchbox used to be that guy. We're not taken away from that he used to be that guy to the max.

He used to be a guy that would destroy Vegas. But now he still wants to be known as Mr. Vegas, Mr. Party. That ain't it no more. Nope. I disagree. You know what I mean? Like when you have a soccer game, you have responsibility to your team. And I was.

The answer. You just said the word responsibility. That's how we know. You, old you, no responsibility out the window. It's just time to have, just time to party. Not on game day. Game day. ready to go. Are you playing for a scholarship? How was the party good though? Like you feel like

Yeah, I mean it was good to see everybody there and it was cool that they had. What do you mean? You see everybody there every day?
