It's time for the Bobby Bones Post Show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones. I see a video on me deadlifting almost 300 pounds five times.
Starting point is 00:03:05 What? Is this from back in the day? No, it's from yesterday. Whoa. I know, I'm getting a little stronger. Dang, dude. 300 pounds. Like, so what's...
Starting point is 00:03:13 I don't know. I know nobody wants to see this, and I recorded it yesterday. I didn't record it. I was trying to record it yesterday. And he was like, I want you to see this, like, how strong you've gotten. I don't, I'm like going to post it. But I was like, hey, Kailen, you want to see me dead left? She was like, okay.
Starting point is 00:03:26 I do, but we're not posting it, are we? And I was like, no, she goes, because we make fun of people who post pictures of them like lifting weights. And I said, I know, but I want to make fun of them until I have one. Before she said that, though, were you thinking about posting it? Nah, I wasn't. Because nobody cares. It's almost like posting your fantasy football score. I need reference.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Lunchbox does that all without. Like, I need reference. Like, how long is it taking you to get to 300? I didn't really, that's a tough thing to do because I'm not a big weightlifter. So just for me being a pretty thin guy and I hate legs, but we did a lot of legs because it hurt my shoulder. But anyway, I just don't mind me, just ripping up 300. Oh, that looks like a lot.
Starting point is 00:04:06 Close to 300 pounds. Dang, bro. There we go. Boom, let's go. One. Five times. Wow. Pretty proud of it.
Starting point is 00:04:13 Where's your belt? Are you sore? I don't need a belt. Oh, yeah. Yeah, my butt. Yeah. That's crazy just from five times, sore. But it's a lot.
Starting point is 00:04:21 That looks worse than I. I'd done a bunch of sets before that. And then he was like, I think we should try. try even heavier. And so I did it. Ray, how's that? Three hundred five times? That's crazy. Is that good for like somebody like, because you're someone who fancies the weight room? Yeah. Well, I mean, there was powerlifting in my high school and yeah, 300's impressive. Well, I don't think that I'm setting any records, but for me, substantial growth. That's pretty proud of it. So I'll be posting it in about five minutes at Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:04:46 Exactly. You got, okay, you're demanding it. Fine, I'm going to post it. No, I'm not going to. Why don't you do the next level where it hits the chest? You know what I mean? That is power clean. Oh, yeah, that one. That when they do in the Olympics. That is different. Well, they do that in Olympics too. That left or power left. I only see the one with that one where they're yelling.
Starting point is 00:05:02 They get it on their chest and they're like, yeah, and then they drop it. I don't like that one. We don't do that. I have a bad shoulder. Oh, that's right. So anything here, I'm doing like elbows to shoulders. We stay away from that. But I've been through so much rehab in the past year and a half.
Starting point is 00:05:17 You don't want to ruin all that. That I just stay away from those things. But I've gotten a lot stronger. We do bench press again finally. But, and this is the post show who gives a crap what we talk about, I hit the golf ball so much farther after shoulder rehab. No, it's amazing. I mean, Amy, I hit it to 90, 300 yards sometimes.
Starting point is 00:05:37 Amy, he doesn't want me saying this, you know, like, well, we're playing, but he hits it as far as the pros do. That's not true. It is very true. That's not true. Very, very true. No, no, no, that's not true. Again, just like with the weightlifting, I need reference.
Starting point is 00:05:47 That's not true. That would be the perfect reference. No, it's not true. Like, it's, but what I'm saying is I didn't do anything to, like, dial into, I just rehab my shoulder and then I came back and for some reason hit the ball a whole lot further. To the point where Eddie and I were playing and I would be hitting at 30, 40 yards over a green with like an iron. I'm like Eddie, I don't know what's happening. And so, but it's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:06:10 I've been working hard and I'm getting stronger. It's crazy. The older you get, you're getting stronger and you're getting taller. Unbelievable. I told you. Nobody believes me. No, he's the ones. Are you saying he's getting taller like with your own eyeballs?
Starting point is 00:06:24 Eddie's six foot tall. Okay. Eddie's six foot tall. Before this point, I was 5-11. Go ahead. Eddie's six foot tall. We measured him. And guess who's a little bit taller than Eddie?
Starting point is 00:06:34 Guess who's a little bit taller than Eddie? Ew. Me. So that means he is six? If you increase Eddie's height, you increase yours. Exactly. And without shoes. Yeah, we did a barefoot.
Starting point is 00:06:43 We did a barefoot, which who measures barefoot except UFC fighters and jail. For your mug shot? Yeah. Something's going on with Earth and. No, just me. I'm just getting bigger. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:57 But I've been doing pretty good. But the shoulder we have thing is really sucked because it hurts. Someone will come to my house. For a while, it was once a week. But they'll come to the house and thank God insurance pays for it. Because it's basically workers, workmen's comp, workers' comp. Workman's comp. Workman's comp.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Because, again, I'd heard it so bad doing breaking Bobby Bones that they had to pay for it. So they would send a physical therapist to the house. That's cool. And it got to, oh, but it's, it sucked. No, not that you had to do that, but you got it comped. Well, I used to get excited about it. Oh, somebody's going to get a massage. But it hurts so bad.
Starting point is 00:07:32 It hurts so bad, it's not a massage. So they like, I've had like dry needling done. You ever had that done? Yeah. It's basically they take pins, you go into your muscles. Like how deep? How deep those are? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:07:43 Sort of like acupuncture-ish. Okay. Yeah, probably a little. It's probably, the needle's a little different. But yes, it goes right in, and then your muscle starts to go. Oh, twitch. If they hit it, it's like, tz-s-s-s-s-sit-s-sit-s. That sucks.
Starting point is 00:07:57 What else do we do? Sometimes I'll just grind on the upper bicep because my tendonitis is my upper bicep but in my shoulder and that tendonitis came from a tear when I wasn't able to move. So it sucks. I dread it as much as working out. And I hate working out. If I were to list things I hate, thank you for asking. Peanut Butter.
Starting point is 00:08:15 No one asked. Manez. Cigarettes. Good. Pollution. I mean, just keep going with. the like the go drugs. Well, I'm getting there.
Starting point is 00:08:28 Pollution. Exercise. That's my top five. Okay. Now I've cut out cancer and AIDS and all that stuff because for sure that would be everyone. It's like when you want to have a dinner with anyone dead or alive, you have to pick Jesus unless Jesus is taken off the table.
Starting point is 00:08:42 And if someone goes dead or alive and they don't pick Jesus and it hasn't been addressed, I may take a second look at them as a friend. But Jesus should never be on the table because otherwise you have to pick Jesus. It's a given. So I now would like to make. that rule. When I run for office, that's going to be another one. No karaoke songs over two minutes, 45 seconds. And no, in the game of who would you have dinner with dead or alive, Jesus is not an option. He's automatically there. He's Jesus. He's omnipresent.
Starting point is 00:09:10 It's a dumb game anyway, though. Like, who would you? Who would you? Two and two, two alive, two dead. Go. Like, see, and I'm to my point, like, I'd love to have dinner with Bob Dylan. But he doesn't want to have dinner with me. But that's not the point. In your fantasy, Bob Dylan, loves you is naked. Oh, wait, different fantasy. In your fantasy, no, I don't want him naked. They are there because they also would like
Starting point is 00:09:30 to have a conversation with you. So two dad to a life. Okay, but in reality, he doesn't. In reality, you're never going to meet Bob Dylan. That's not true. You don't know that. And we may even have dinner one day. No, you won't.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Stop it, Eddie. Okay. But let's say in this scenario, play along, hypothetical-ish, he is super cool about being asked to whatever you want to ask. He's not looking to be your best friend, but he's like,
Starting point is 00:09:53 you know what I like to go have dinner and answer all this guy's questions because maybe he'll write him down and make a book or a journal entry about it so go ahead two dead two alive okay so the alive would be Bob Dylan and Joe Montana pretty cool Joe Montana would be cool yeah I would love that okay dead and you said Jesus or was he off the table because he's already there I want to talk to Abraham Lincoln want to really know how that whole fourth theater thing went down he doesn't know really he didn't know he just watching a show bro yeah but went down
Starting point is 00:10:23 But I know. Wow, this is a good. That's how it went down. Abe Lincoln would be cool. And man. Dead. Bob Marley. I want to talk to Bob Marley.
Starting point is 00:10:39 About. Just life. Okay. There we go. That's my two and two. Amy. Alive. Robin Roberts and Oprah.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Dead. Betty White and Mother Teresa. That's good. Betty White, huh? Yeah. She's fascinating to me. I love Golden Girls. She's so funny and, like, just being a woman in this industry for so long and, or in the entertainment industry, I guess I should say.
Starting point is 00:11:08 But, like, I don't know. I would love to talk with her. Lunchbox? Oh, I'd go, Tina Turner Live and Mark Cuban. Good one. I like that one. He's really smart and has just crazy great ideas. Dead, I would say
Starting point is 00:11:26 Steve Jobs Because I want to know about Does he regret? How do I get my email on my phone? That? But also I'd like I'd like to know if he Because you still don't know how to.
Starting point is 00:11:40 That's true. Drinking juice was going to cure his cancer Like he was like, I'm going to fix this And I wonder like, dude Like were you just so brilliant You were stubborn? Do you regret? You know, things like that.
Starting point is 00:11:48 There's a lot of people that think that though. Really? Oh yeah. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. He just lived that lifestyle. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And so he was continuing, he was doubling down on that lifestyle. Okay. There are some people that will say that that did. Prolong. Save them or prolong. Yeah. Oh. I mean, and when you're in it, you'll explore all kinds of things.
Starting point is 00:12:08 Like, I remember when my mom had cancer, we were looking at this place you go to in Mexico, where it's like colonics every day and this particular soup that they feed you. And you stay for like six weeks. And, I mean, we were. were researching and I remember even talking to Bobby about it and I was like if if she goes like do you think I could go and be like her caregiver there? I mean it was
Starting point is 00:12:30 a real like you kind of explore everything because I mean Andy Kaufman did that. Yeah. And that's when he realized it was all BS. Oh that because he had cancer and he went down and it wasn't Mexico. Yeah, some other South America. Maybe South America. Yeah. South America and he was like he tried but he tried a lot of that stuff. Crystals and yeah
Starting point is 00:12:46 because I think when you are at the end of your rope you're just doing anything to not lose the end of the rope. Yeah. I mean and the chemo makes you super sick. Because I don't really know anything about Steve Jobs, but I just know that about him. And I'm like, man, this dude is so smart. And if he believed that, like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:12:59 And then my other person would be Tupac. I want to know what happened. Ooh, good one. You guys always want to know what happened. Sometimes they don't know what happened. Well, that would be the icebreaker. What happened? He's like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:13:08 All I know is I was driving down the road, riding passenger. My favorite song was my favorite Vegas radio. And then end the story. But then you can pick it up at that point. Well, what I heard was this is what happened. You think he wants to the gossip about how he was murdered? But also
Starting point is 00:13:22 I think Tupac knows. Yeah, pretty brilliant. He probably looked and saw it. He's like, oh man, is it? Yeah, it was the lesson he saw. I just don't think I would want to know about how they died, but I think I'd want to know why they were inspired to create certain things. Like what in their childhood or early,
Starting point is 00:13:40 or even their adolescents, led them to feel certain ways that made them want or do create specific things? Yeah, we'd get there. We'd get there. But you lead with... Man, like, For a theater. Oh, you didn't hear him coming?
Starting point is 00:13:53 Like, at all? Like, you did. How good was the play? What I would literally ask is, hey, so your security was drinking at the bar. Is that right? Yeah. Wow, that's how he had like full access to him.
Starting point is 00:14:06 Yeah, I was like, Mike, well, you looked that up, Mike, I'm just going from memory here. I mean, because I've never heard that, but that's interesting. The day before he died, they had just signed the bill for secret service or something. And the guy that was protecting him wasn't, he was down at the bar drinking. for a weird reason. I bet he felt like crap. Or he was in on it. A theory, but not a super popular one, but I have heard that theory.
Starting point is 00:14:31 This is from the Washington Post. The night Lincoln was assassinated, his new bodyguard went missing. Went missing. At the end of the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln had no illusions about frequent threats to kill him. He told him his bodyguards, I have perfect confidence in those who are around me in every one of your men. But if it's to be done, it's impossible to prevent it. Lincoln went to Ford's Theater the same day Lincoln signed to create the Secret Service. That's it, Amy.
Starting point is 00:14:55 But it wasn't to protect the president. It was to secret service is money. So you're right in the way of, yes, the Secret Service was created. What people don't know now is the Secret Service is over financial crimes now. And President? And President. But it wasn't created to protect the president then. It was only protected to stop financial crimes.
Starting point is 00:15:15 I think then it was making fake money. Wow. Because then they really couldn't tell. but the bodyguard was missing. I had just maybe read somewhere he was drinking at the bar. It didn't say there anywhere? He was taking Eagerbombs. I can't read it all.
Starting point is 00:15:27 There's that whole article here. Mike, if it says Yeagerbombs, let me know. Pickleback. If he's crushing a flat tire. The 35-year-old Parker, yeah, go back to that one. Is that what that was, Mike? He did. Okay.
Starting point is 00:15:41 They put two and two together. I'd ask him. So I'd be like, hey, yeah, what? You know he was a very unpopular president. one of the most unpopular presidents by anyone he was just not an acceptor well like president period we have a different view of him because we're able to see the forest from the trees as they say and also he died and i think bob marley now different because ab lincoln definitely stood for something that mattered and continues today sure ablincoln though and i don't want to get into this
Starting point is 00:16:12 also had some things that aren't really pushed as the lincoln narrative that weren't as positive when it comes to the ideas of slavery. But... You probably wouldn't touch on that dinner? Maybe? Maybe. Maybe we would. A dessert? Maybe.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Yeah, cheesecake. Over cheesecake. It's got to be the right. Maybe. I'm living probably David Letterman and probably Steve Martin. So David Letterman and I... Two comedians. Either Steve Martin, but yeah, probably Steve Martin.
Starting point is 00:16:41 Because he's older. But I close with Mark Grace, the first base, him for the Cubs, like the 90s. But I could probably do that. I could probably do that one now. That's realistic. I tried hard enough. But Steve Martin and David Letterman, alive. Andy Kaufman, dead.
Starting point is 00:16:58 He's dead or alive. That's tough because if he comes back and he's alive, then I'm screwed because I've got three alive people, and the rule said only two. So Andy Kaufman, dead. That's hard, huh? Well, it's just, I got three comedians here now. And now I've got to think of the room.
Starting point is 00:17:15 And either everybody respects everybody, or they're fighting for jokes. So I need to bring somebody who's not a comedian. Oh, we're all having dinner together? Yeah. Oh, I didn't realize that. I did. Yeah, it said four people at dinner.
Starting point is 00:17:25 Okay. Yeah. So maybe George Washington's interesting, not because he was the first president, because he was such, he was like an elite soldier, right? That's how, as a young man, even before general, he was such an elite soldier, which allowed him to climb general president. But it wasn't the president thing to me. It was the young years of just,
Starting point is 00:17:49 staying alive, being a soldier, and when he said, I should not be president forever. Who says that? I'd be president forever. If I was George Washington, they were like, hey, man, you did great. You're a great soldier. You led us.
Starting point is 00:18:04 You led the troops as a general. You're now the first president. We're thinking you should be president forever. I'd be like, oh, man, you guys, you guys are too much. Okay. If that's what you really want, okay, I'll be president forever. He didn't do that. How different this country would be if he would have done that, though?
Starting point is 00:18:18 because then I guess everyone just would have followed suit. They're trying to be different than like the crown, right? Yeah, I know, but the option was there. Yeah, and the difference would be even if they were president, it doesn't go to somebody you related to. Somebody's voted in. Probably like the Supreme Court, meaning your president forever, finger quotes until you either get too old and you go, I'm going to retire.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Yeah. But it's until death. There would just be far fewer presidents. Yeah. We didn't ever got Taft. Garfield. Washington feared that if you were to, to die in office, Americans would view the presidency as a lifetime appointment. So he checked out
Starting point is 00:18:52 and was like, can't do it. So maybe Washington just to have somebody different. But otherwise, I'd wait for Mark Grace to die and invite him as my other dad. Man, JFK would be cool too. I don't know, man, those Kennedys. No, I would just want to know if he knew. Like, did you know that they were trying to get you? Like, and who do you think got you? We just want to interview. Everybody's dead. You know what I mean? All murdered? Yeah. I want to know, like, because again, like you said, Around the room. How many of you guys knew you're about to be killed?
Starting point is 00:19:19 They all raise their hands. Really? All you fools. You know what the interesting is Frank Sinatra. Biggie. Maybe instead of George Washington. Huge entertainer, different time. Biggest, the most famous person in the world.
Starting point is 00:19:32 And also, mob. So it's also part of... And they have to answer. They're on a truth serum. Right, right, right. They're letting it all out. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And that would be cool, dude.
Starting point is 00:19:42 Today is Friday the 13th, which I haven't heard a lot about. Maybe that was just a thing more when... It's still a thing, obviously, but like when the movies were bigger. I just haven't seen one thing about Friday 13th. If you look back at the origins of the number 13, here we go.
Starting point is 00:19:57 Although no one knows for certain, and we've talked about this on the show, the fear of the number 13, and the fear of Friday likely combined around the late 1800s, no clear mention of it has been discussed in any published works before then, but the Last Supper is brought up. A superstition associated with Friday the 13th
Starting point is 00:20:13 is that the last supper that was attended by 13 people, Jesus Christ and his 12 disciples. The number 13 is associated with, which one? Judas, that's right, thank you, nobody, who betrayed Christ shortly after the last supper. My brain wasn't working. Christ was handed to Roman soldiers the next morning and crucified on Good Friday.
Starting point is 00:20:30 So there's the 13, there's the Friday reference. Wow. That is one they feel. Don't know, but feel could have led to that. And then back in mythology, we talked about Loki, who was an actual, not just a Marvel character, but in mythology, there was Loki,
Starting point is 00:20:45 and at a dinner with 12 the Norse gods, Loki was not invited. However, the troublemaker showed up, fighting ensued, and one of the most popular gods named Baldur was killed that day. I just associate it with the movie. No, no, no, no, Friday 13th.
Starting point is 00:21:01 But the movie was made after Friday the 13th, this stuff, you know? So what does it have to do with elevators or, like, floors and buildings? I just think generally the number 13 is seen as unlucky so people don't want to be associated with it. I'm not sure. So they take it all.
Starting point is 00:21:15 off of different things, although I would want to be on 14 then if 13's gone. Right, because it's not the floor is gone. Although I don't care. I'll take it. But like famous football players with 13, can you name one? Odell Beckham, is he 13? Can you name the most famous of all time? I don't think O'Dell Beckham's 13, is he?
Starting point is 00:21:34 I don't know why that just popped in my head. The most famous number 13? He was 13 for a while, Eddie. He was? Yeah, he sure was. He was. Yeah, I sure was. I don't know who the most famous is.
Starting point is 00:21:50 Lunchbox? No idea. Dan Marino. Oh, yeah, yeah. Back in the day. Yeah, Hall of Famer. One of the greatest of all time. Just hadn't won a championship.
Starting point is 00:21:58 So people don't really throw them in that mix as much as they should. So there you go. Bad things that have happened on Friday and 13th. March 13th, 2020 can be considered the first day of the pandemic that it was declared. That was not a good day. Tupac died on a Friday 13th. Wow. Tell him that.
Starting point is 00:22:17 A flight through the end. Andy's ended in disaster and death. That was on Friday's at 13th. Mm-hmm. A British 13-year-old boy was struck by lightning on Friday 13th at 13th, 13th, so 1.13. Whoa, that's great. Boy, they're stretching with that one. Wow.
Starting point is 00:22:33 In 2029, an asteroid will come extremely close to Earth. That's not that many. That's it. Man, Friday 13th rocks. That's all the bad stuff does happen over time. Missouri woman wins the lottery while house hunting. A St. Louis woman who was house hunting made a fortunate pit stop. and is $2 million richer.
Starting point is 00:22:52 The unnamed woman won the lottery after making a quick convenience store stop in St. Louis while looking for a house, she bought a $20 scratcher. It was a winner. She told lottery officials, it was just more money for a down payment on a house.
Starting point is 00:23:02 I think it was a down payment. Oh my goodness. She didn't need the money. Kansas City Star is that. Do you think people should only win the lottery if they need the money? Well, yeah, probably. Then you don't need the money.
Starting point is 00:23:16 You don't think I need $500 million? Well, I think everybody then. needs 500 million. Everybody can use it. But lunchbox doesn't need it. You have a good light. You don't need it. You need it.
Starting point is 00:23:26 No, you don't. What do you mean? I don't. Need it is if like you can't afford to buy things so you really need that money. I can't. I can't afford to buy a Lambo? Okay, but can you afford to pay for
Starting point is 00:23:35 your health care, your children to eat? Shelter. House, food. Rent a house. Yeah. Then you don't need it. Then nobody needs it.
Starting point is 00:23:49 Do you have a car? that works? Maybe nobody needs it. That's a terrible argument. Anyway, if you're... By the way, I don't think you should only win if you need it. I'm just saying, like, that's crazy
Starting point is 00:23:58 that I can't believe she gets two million when I try all the time and she's like, oh, it's just a down payment for a house. Like, what kind of houses was she looking at? That's what I'm saying. Like, obviously, she's not even excited
Starting point is 00:24:09 about that two million. You don't know that. Obviously, it's not true. I mean, did you hear the tone of her voice? There was no voice. You didn't hear her voice. I read a line from a story that somebody could have just written.
Starting point is 00:24:19 Man hunts underway after a convicted murderer escapes after allegedly attacking the officer driving the bus. Well, you see that in movies and shows. What? Like, we're on the bus. This is our breakout. Did they, well, I just figure they're like cuffed down. A convicted murderer is on the run in Leon County, Texas after fleeing a prison transportation bus after he assaulted an officer. Gonzalo Lopez 46 was serving a life sentence following convictions on capital murder and attempted capital murder.
Starting point is 00:24:46 The bus was headed from Gatesville to Huntsville. able to get out of his restraints and reach the driver. See, I feel like somebody allowed him to get out of those restraints. Yeah, someone had to loosen him up or leave him not tied in. He stabbed Officer Smith in the left hand with some sort of object. Dang it. Smith prevented the inmate from taking his weapon and the bus came to a stop. Maybe because the bus driver was like, we need to fix this.
Starting point is 00:25:08 I don't know. I'd always seen on shows, you're told to keep driving. But it's a show, so it's not true. Lopez then ran off the bus. The other officer on the bus fired at the inmate. with his weapon and as well as a shotgun. They do not know if the inmate was hit by any of these shots. The last time they saw him fleeing was across a cow pasture west of Centerville.
Starting point is 00:25:27 That's from CNN. They will find this guy. It's crazy. Unless this was all set up far in advance with someone ready to get him to Mexico, they'll find this guy. Yeah, because he's a bunch of farms and ranches. So there's not really a place to hide. They'll just put a little perimeter out and they'll start closing in.
Starting point is 00:25:45 Unless somebody was ready and he was. was on his way to Mexico. That's true. And there's the underground tunnels. Because you're in Texas. Yeah, it's pretty south. And Mike said, once you get down there, you're down there. Yeah, they don't care.
Starting point is 00:25:58 Elon Musk's deal to buy Twitter is on hold. Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting the calculation that spam slash fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of the users. That's what he was told. I don't think there's any chance. There's so many bots. I bet if you cleaned all the bots out of mine,
Starting point is 00:26:17 it because on Twitter I probably have close to 700,000, over 600,000. But I bet if you clean the bots out of mine, I lose 100,000 easily. It's just, it's out of control. Twitter not really, I like reading Twitter the most. I don't post a lot there, but not really worth it to post because it is so toxic and you don't really gain much by posting. You know, it's not like a TikTok where something go viral or Twitter just kind of comes and goes.
Starting point is 00:26:45 I like it, my favorite to look at. but that's why so many like real life celebrities aren't on it anymore because you can tweet one bad thing stupid thing you get canceled and tweet one awesome thing and it doesn't really matter nobody cares nobody really looks at it
Starting point is 00:27:01 for that that being said I just posted on Twitter that are my hoodies and sweatshirts are on sale and I don't know that it sold a single one of them retweet I do have a couple here that I brought with me but I only have two sizes left Eddie have one I have one thank you I have a medium
Starting point is 00:27:16 And these are really like super high duty. They're so comfy. We put two up, two kinds up on the site. One is like the normal that we sell. And this one's like the really good. But I have a small. Are they both hoodies or just sweatshirts? No, these are the crew necks?
Starting point is 00:27:30 Okay. Which, but I have a small. Morgan, are you a small? Do you want it? I do. We did a whole photo shoot with a bunch of athletes that I signed to represent the brand. And I had these left over. I have a medium.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Are you a large lunchbox? No, I'm a medium, but I don't know what a crew means, so I didn't want to say anything. It's not a hoodie. Yeah, I like hoodies. Sweat shirt. You want to see it? Yeah, let's see it.
Starting point is 00:27:52 I mean, it's a free shirt. Yeah, I'll take it. It's free. I'm going to take it. When you said crew neck, I was like, I don't know what that means. Like you're part of the crew. Eddie and I were wearing this the other day. Just put out a hoodie. This?
Starting point is 00:28:03 Oh, I thought Eddie had a hoodie on. I did. Oh, he did. I did. Got it. It's free. I'm going to knock over some water or something. Amy, grab it.
Starting point is 00:28:11 It's free. It's free. Throw it over here. Here, Amy, grab it. Give it to me. That's free. So I accomplished two things. One, getting those out of my house.
Starting point is 00:28:21 And then two, if you guys want one, you can go to can't see apparel.com. We're working with an organization up there. It's the only minority-owned sports complex in Arkansas to help kids play sports. They can't afford to play sports. That's cool. So we'll see. We don't have a ton of them up today, but we do have some. But I was able to work with a lot of the Arkansas athletes, which is super cool to me.
Starting point is 00:28:42 Did you go to the photo shoot? Yeah. Did you? That's cool, huh? Don't by the lake? Yeah. Yeah, it's awesome. It's really cool.
Starting point is 00:28:48 Yeah, that's cool. I mean, I've seen a lot of those people on TV and it's like, wow, it's really cool. They're right there. The basketball players, the girls who play in the women's basketball team, they're so tall. So tall. Sailor and... Jersey. Jersey.
Starting point is 00:29:01 Yeah, they were so tall. Jersey was like SEC freshman of the year, and she's what, six four, six five? I mean, even as a dude, but she's like tall. That's crazy. Even that running back. I mean, he was so big. Rocket Sandler. Rocket Sanders, too. It was huge.
Starting point is 00:29:16 Yeah, pretty cool. That's up on my Instagram if you want to see that. Let's see. A woman hasn't sat down for 30 years because of a rare condition. A woman hasn't sat down in 30 years due to a rare medical condition that has fused her hips to her joints. That sucks. Do you just lean on walls? 32-year-old Joanna Kilch has been diagnosed with spinal muscular atrophy and has had to use a standing wheelchair every day. That's bad.
Starting point is 00:29:41 I mean, I went to the mall with Caitlin yesterday and I needed to sit down. 30 seconds into it. I was like, that's amazing? Yeah. I mean, I'll go and I mentioned earlier, work out hard,
Starting point is 00:29:51 but I'm like, oh, I just need to sit. We've been here 15 seconds. I know. She's not just need to sit. Her knees are weak. She said,
Starting point is 00:29:58 I feel my left knee will break soon and I won't even be able to stand. That is, that's really unfortunate. I hate that. In a new poll, 34% of people say children will be better off if they don't
Starting point is 00:30:07 get a smartphone until they are 18. Told you. You're going to listen to kids? Yeah, I mean, that's true. They are better. off. Here's what I think. I think
Starting point is 00:30:16 as technology gets better and it's needed more and more and used more and more, you're going to need it earlier because everybody else is on it. Like when I was in high school we had a typewriter. We had a typing class. We didn't have computers. Also, our school couldn't afford computers. But if computers would have been a much bigger thing, we'd have
Starting point is 00:30:34 computers to compete. To allow the kids to get to the level of other kids. And I think with technology, yes, do kids need to be making TikTok videos dancing? No. At 12, no. No. But I think there are going to be things that tablets and phones have that kids need to have in order to stay on the same level as other kids you have them. Tablets, yes, phones no. The only thing I would say about phones is that you can access
Starting point is 00:31:00 email anywhere. You don't need Wi-Fi. Tablets still haven't gotten there where they have like data. But your 14-year-old son has a phone, right? He does and he rarely uses it. It's crazy. You said not until 18. My point is you've also realized this era of Your blanket coverage. Yeah. But it's like, really, it was uncharged in my kitchen for three days. That's counter your point of kids. But let me tell you why.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Okay. Because he's not allowed to use social media. So he's like, well, this phone is pointless. Great. So that's my point. No, there is no, we didn't say social media. We said phones. I mean, the only reason he'd want to use, need to use the phone is to call us if he needs something.
Starting point is 00:31:39 Okay. And that's it. Period. That's a good reason. Cool. He could text you, could call you. Yeah. communication, massive part email maybe
Starting point is 00:31:46 for school. If you got to hit a teacher. Yeah, but you can do that on the tablet with Wi-Fi. Sure, but you made my point for me. No, you made my point for me. I did not say social media but kids could need phones.
Starting point is 00:31:55 There could be whole assignments that you could do on your phone. I don't have a computer. I rarely use that anymore. Use, like I was, well, I was working on my speech for tomorrow a little bit of my phone. Usually I'd sit at my computer
Starting point is 00:32:05 working on it here. My point is a phone, not social media, is probably going to be needed more and more and as kids get younger and younger so kids have the ability to stay on par with other kids who are using the same technology.
Starting point is 00:32:20 Okay. But thank you for making my point for me. I didn't even to say that. I didn't, but okay. Your fight is social media. My fight is phone. I'm not doing this. I'm going down the Eddie slide.
Starting point is 00:32:28 I was about saying. I can't do it. Just stop me, guys. Stop me when this happens. All right. I think that's going to be it. I don't know if I have any more money to give away because Morgan and Scoobo Steve
Starting point is 00:32:37 you know all my money. That was so cool. Brad Tersey is on the Bobbycast this week. Brad Tursey is one of the members of Old Dominion. Old Dominion is a cool story because not only they're a great band with a bunch of hit songs, is that it was a group of guys that were successful
Starting point is 00:32:52 songwriters basically in town. They were a little older and they were like, yeah, why don't we try to make this band? They put themselves together. There wasn't anything super flashy about them except just great songs and now they're massive. And so, you know, as a songwriter,
Starting point is 00:33:08 Brad's won the CMA triple play award twice, meaning he wrote three songs in each year, number one song, sorry. And he talked about how he has to write differently for Old Dominion to match Matt Ramsey, the lead singer, versus how he normally writes. Old Dominion has a certain sound that is also Matt's voice. And he's a songwriter that, as an artist knows what he wants to say and how he wants to sing it. And my voice isn't necessarily like his. It's higher. There's certain things that just sound good when I say them, but he'll be like, I don't know if I can say that. I'm like, okay, well, sometimes, unless I really believe in a line, you know,
Starting point is 00:33:38 I'll default to what is naturally feels good for him, because he's the one that has to get up there and sing it and believe it while he's doing it. Here's one more. Brad is the writer on Keith Urban's Wild Hearts. He wrote that song with, I think, like, Eric Pass. Genway. Cool. Yeah, right, Mike? And so he talked about how Keith Urban called him going, hey, can I change some parts of this song?
Starting point is 00:34:01 Here you go. Keith love the chorus, but he called me and he said, you know, Brad, I love this chorus. The verses are not speaking to me really. Do you mind if I have a crack at rewriting the verses? So, of course, you know, sure. So he rewrote the verses to that song about his own life, and then he just used our chorus. Changed every word in the verse, both verses.
Starting point is 00:34:23 And he kept our melody in the first verse, but then he kind of went off on his own little way on the second verse. So he 100% was more than an equal writer on the song, for sure. You guys check it out, Brad Tursey on the Bobbycast. It is really wonderful. And I will, on this, I threw a shirt at lunchbox a second ago, and I don't want to knock over Amy's coffee or the Sonic. cups or lunchboxes, two-toned water bottle.
Starting point is 00:34:47 It was brought to my attention that your water bottle costs $100. Yeah. My lark. Yeah. $100. Yeah. This thing, you can drink lake water with it. No, no, I guess my point is...
Starting point is 00:34:57 No problem. Now he's drinking water to show us. He can't drink water. I can't believe you would spend $100 on a water bottle. I didn't. It was a gift. Oh, it was. Okay, well, that makes a difference.
Starting point is 00:35:06 That's not what you told me. Oh. Interesting. Go ask the people in another room, not the Pitz and Kevin. audio guys. I've told them for months it was a gift and they asked me about it and I told them about it and then Pitts bought one because I don't need Pitts's life story. I'm just asking about it. I'm just telling you we had that that doctor on that Dr. Happy and he talked about Lucky. Lucky. Dr. Lucky and talking about how you don't need, you can't drink out of plastic water
Starting point is 00:35:30 bottles when you wash them and blah, blah, blah. And so someone bought me this as a gift and Who's someone? Let's just say it rhymes with my wife. Why would you say someone though? Well, that is, is she a someone? Sounds fishy. Mm-hmm. He's never told me that someone bought it for him.
Starting point is 00:35:49 It rhymes with constipation. How many times have I talked to you about my water bottle? Twice. Okay. Oh, wow, really? Twice. Two times. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:56 So both times I'm supposed to be like, oh, my wife bought it for me. You just said how much it cost? No, I said how much that cost is like $100. I'm like, wow. I'm shocked. Me too. That's it. So it filters it?
Starting point is 00:36:06 It's got the light right here. It's got the light. It turns it to 1. Let me show you. Wow. I'm telling you, it's the greatest. thing ever. That is cool. Boom. My plastic water bottle did that too.
Starting point is 00:36:17 And it's 30, like, prove it didn't. 35 ounces and it fits in a cup holder. That's what's also great. So are you stopping by the lake on the way into work and filling it up? On his bike. You can. No, I'm asking it. No, I'm not. Okay. But it's also because I had a plastic water bottle that I used and he
Starting point is 00:36:32 scared me with all the chemicals and my wife heard that and so she bought this for me because she knows I drink water every day. And so all look, it's done filtering. Now I drink it. It's done. But I, I You're probably right. I never heard it. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:36:45 But I can't mind it did that too. No, I didn't. Prove it didn't. No, but Dr. Happy told you. Dr. Happy's not even a real doctor. Lucky. Dr. Lucky. I think he even said he's not that kind of doctor, right?
Starting point is 00:36:55 He said the plastic. He said the plastic and those bottles is bad. The longer they sit on the shelves, the worse it is for you. You're having male infertility because of the chemicals related to plastic bottles. So there we go. Can we filter it again? Boom. There it goes.
Starting point is 00:37:11 Filter it again. You're going to overfilter it. You're going to open. It's going to be no water in there. It's going to be filtered the death. I agree with you about the plastic bottles, leaving it out. We talked about that a bunch. My only point was, I couldn't believe you had a $100 water bottle. And not only that, they said, you bought it, which didn't make sense. Oh, he did say that.
Starting point is 00:37:28 I mean, dude, you never said that. I got it as a gift. You never asked me. You said how much it cost? You didn't say, where did you get it? How did you get it? You said, how much did it cost? I answered your question. If you would have said, where did you get it? I would have said my wife gave it to me. Is there any chance before we leave you could. you could filter it again. Yeah, you want me to hit that?
Starting point is 00:37:44 Wait, hold on it. It's still going. It takes 30 seconds. Oh, the blue lights on, yeah. And how does it filter? UV lights. Kills all that bacteria. Oh, just lights shooting on it. I'm not risking it, but, okay.
Starting point is 00:37:55 Oh, yeah. It sounds like those lights probably give it something. Some bad, oh, boy. Man, you guys got to grow a tail next week. Go ahead and it's the only one in the world. What, your bottle is the only one? This brand. Lark.
Starting point is 00:38:07 It's awesome, man. It's probably an awesome bottle, but dang. Yeah. So can we bring in Lakewater next? time and have him zap it and drink it. Disgusting like water. I mean, that's what it does. Let's lark it up.
Starting point is 00:38:18 You go look at the reviews. Girl, stay at the lake for a week. She sat there and drank the lake water. So it'll filter water. Yeah. Any dirty water. As far as I know. Probably poopy water too, right?
Starting point is 00:38:28 No, let's just say, let's just say you pee into it. That's fine too. Do you trust it? No, pee water is, that's even cleaner than water. This is very different. Yeah, like pee is different than water. So people don't pee in the lake.
Starting point is 00:38:40 you're saying you're going to put straight pee in there no no no no no no no no bones you're saying water a little bit of pee right yeah because I'm not going to fill that thing up correct correct you guys are but was this app with the blue light just zap it up okay no deal zap it up and you can drink it I'm not even hating on it I just thought it didn't fit who you were to spend a hundred bucks on a bottle and I didn't and I'm sure it's a great water bottle it's just funny to hear Eddie go no you said you bought it yeah well Eddie did I ever say I bought it
Starting point is 00:39:09 Can I just say this? No, no, no, no. Bobby, you know how Eddie argues? Let's watch you sliding down the slide. Thank you. And I fall. It's like the cha-cha slide. I slide down all the time.
Starting point is 00:39:18 I'm just watching you go down it too and it's funny to me. Y'all ready to get busy. Do the Eddie slide. Funk it, funk it, funk it, funk it, funk. Because that's what Eddie does. He just makes up his own story and you can't argue with him. You can't reason with him because I didn't buy it. He never asked me who bought it for me.
Starting point is 00:39:32 So there you go. Let's just say. Breakout artist, Jelly Roll announces headlining show at Bridgestone arena. Whoa. Jelly Roll. Jelly Roll. He tweeted and he said, hey, it's been a crazy week for me. He listed three huge things that happened to him, which was this, his number one at radio.
Starting point is 00:39:47 But it's the first thing he listed was coming on the show. Yeah. He thought it was really nice of him. And he got sick or something too, right? That wasn't a good thing, though. He listed like three good things. That was one of the bad things. He didn't list that at all on that tweet.
Starting point is 00:40:00 So yeah, congratulations to all jelly roll. That's pretty cool for him. All right. I think we're done here. Thank you all.
