Starting point is 00:03:39 Morning studio. Morning! Hope you all had a great weekend. I had a good weekend. Coming up in just a few minutes, Hardy will be in studio. You may know Hardy from this song right here. And I mean, the guy's written like 10 number ones.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Massive star. He's coming in. So we're going to do the mailbag to start the show since Hardy's going to be in the next couple segments. All right, it's a little bit early, but let's open the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag.
Starting point is 00:04:10 Yeah, yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. So my neighbor's 17-year-old daughter is now a waitress at my family's favorite local Italian restaurant. We go there almost every Friday with the kids right after school so we don't have to cook. It's kind of a tradition. I think she must ask to wait on us because every week she's our waitress. And to be honest, she's not that good. Oh, no. She constantly forgets to bring out drinks and constantly gets the order wrong. Then we won't see her for like 30 minutes. And you know what? Same thing. Every single. single time. The worst is at the end I feel obligated to give her a giant
Starting point is 00:04:44 tip even though she doesn't deserve one. Do do you think I'm obligated to give a big tip to a bad waitress just because I know her and her family? What would everyone else do in this situation? Signed Chelsea. Yes. Give her a good tip. She might be like, oh, I know
Starting point is 00:05:00 them, so I don't have to be as on for them. Oof. She might just be a bad waitress, too. That's what I think probably I think she's just probably not very good at her job. She's 17. It's okay. She's learning.
Starting point is 00:05:13 17-year-olds aren't normally that good. But how do they learn? Not getting good tips. You know? She just, that family can't be the one to not give her the good tips. I know. I agree. You need to make up for all the tips she's not getting.
Starting point is 00:05:24 I don't think it needs to be massive. But you do know them, so you are kind of, it is weird too if she's asking for them. That puts them. Doesn't sound like she is. Every time they go in. She's a waitress. Yeah, that's kind of weird. Well, yeah, but I mean, I would, I was a hostess.
Starting point is 00:05:43 I know it's not the same thing. Not at all. We used to get angry at you guys, but go ahead. Oh, trust me, I know. I got yelled at a lot. I didn't yell, but I'd be like, why did you seat them in that section? Yeah, I got to. You've already seated three tables over there, and I'm over here with nothing.
Starting point is 00:05:52 Yeah. Wow. I had a more, I was in a more hostile. Oh, because she's dating. Oh, I happen all the time. Really? Yeah. Anyway, if someone came in that I knew, I always tried to be the one to seat them. I mean, that's just fun.
Starting point is 00:06:04 So if I was waiting, of course I don't want to wait on them. Hey, those are my people. Let me wait on that table. And you can slowly peel back how big the tip is, just by little by little each time. So it doesn't set the... But you do have to tip really well if they're a friend. General waiter rules.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Lunchbox, you don't agree? No, guys, you're giving everybody a participation trophy. You are there to do a job and earn that tip. If you're not doing a good job, the only way you're going to learn is if you give them a bad tip and they'd be like, man, I really need to up my game. to get a better tip. It's sort of like with kids.
Starting point is 00:06:39 You don't reward them for bad behavior. You reward them for good behavior. She's not good at her job, so she doesn't get a big tip, period. Well, you're not giving her the tip because of how good she has the job. You're given to the tip because you're sitting at her table. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:51 It's just different. If you wait at tables and somebody comes in that you know you expect a bigger tip. So difficult situation, but I do think that expectation is there. And if you don't, she's going to tell her mom, then you're going to be off the PTA.
Starting point is 00:07:04 So there you have it. All right. That's the mail bag. Thank you, Chelsea. We've got your email and we've read it on air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Hardy is here with us right now who, I mean, to have your life, you're writing hits. Last time I looked it was 10 number ones. Is that still accurate? Because I know you're about to have another one. Yeah, it's 10. Okay. Could you, I'm not going to ask you to, but could you name them all quickly? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:31 Okay, well, here we go. I am going to ask you. Come on. Okay, let's hear your 10 number one songs go. Okay, up down, simple, I don't know about you. God's country, one big country song, some girls, more than my hometown, one beer, single Saturday night, sand in my boots. That's pretty good. That's pretty impressive.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Man, and what he just said there is worth lots of money. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Pretty cool. So I had Ernest over at the house. Yeah. We were talking about you. And so you, in my mind, you, Ernest and Morgan run pretty tight. Is that?
Starting point is 00:08:06 Yes. How did that relationship come about? It was pretty organic. It really all happened through Big Loud, our record label. Ernest had written for Big Loud for forever. Morgan was a Big Loud artist. And I met them through FGL because before I was affiliated, like, professionally with Big Loud, I was out on the road with FGL for a long time riding.
Starting point is 00:08:31 And so there was a lot of Big Loud people in and out. Morgan was on tour with them. Ernest would be outriding and it just kind of happened organically. We just started hanging out and realized we had a lot in common and we loved writing songs and it just sort of happened. Hardy scored his first number one as an artist with one beer. I'm going to play a clip of this song here.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Here's one beer. One beer turns into a cigarette burning into a two beer. Has the top five song right now with Dirks and Breeland called Beers on Me. Coincidence, two beers at the same time? Has that been brought up to you yet? No. It hasn't. Not till now. You're not the beer guy, though. They don't call you any.
Starting point is 00:09:10 I mean, they could. They definitely could, for sure. You won the songwriter of the year for 2022. Yeah. That's pretty significant because you're also an artist. Yeah, it's pretty wild, man. Like, you're starting to blow up as an artist while you're still killing. Like, where do you have all the time to do this? I just, I try to make time and I just, I write during the week.
Starting point is 00:09:29 Like, we, you know, typically, summertime's a little bit different, but we tour, you know, Thursday, Friday, Saturday. I take Sunday off and sometimes Monday and then I would try to write Tuesday and Wednesday and try to write on the road. It's just I've tried to balance them both at the same time. It can be tough sometimes, but, you know, I give it everything I got. Hardy is here.
Starting point is 00:09:52 He's got 10 number ones. He was a songwriter of the year in 2022. I mean, as an artist, he's on everything. Like, you're wildly and widely respected in this town. And I see you as a guy who's, you know, I mean, you got tattoos, you got the look. Like, it's hard to see Hardy the complete successful song where the people are dying to work with on a professional level.
Starting point is 00:10:14 And then the artist that gets out there and just goes absolutely ham on stage. Like, that's quite the juxtaposition there. Do you feel like you're two different people? Definitely. I mean, if you're, like, a lot of people have the philosophy of like your artist is like your, your, your artistry is your art, you know, and that's, so Hardy is, is, is, in a lot of ways different than Michael Hardy. I feel like on stage I'm a lot more animated, a lot less chill.
Starting point is 00:10:42 It's just like an outlet for me to kind of get everything out. And, you know, as a songwriter, just a dude, I feel like I'm pretty still pretty normal, I guess. What do your friends call you? They call you Michael? Hardy. That's why I went with the artist's name is I have like one friend that calls me Michael and then like my fiance and like my family. But everybody, since like high school, most people have just called me Harty. My favorite song of yours, and I don't know if you remember, I messaged you a few days ago.
Starting point is 00:11:08 Yeah. He went to Jared. Yeah. It's such a funny song, but it's also so catchy. And that line, he went to Ole Miss. I went to work. Like anyone that grew up like me in a rural town. Sure.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Like, you just hate the guy that went to Ole Miss. I mean, it's like the rich kid. It was the privilege college for sure. And my fiancee went to Ole Miss. But I grew up a state fan. I'm my parents. I moved here when I was. 19, so I reluctantly didn't go to state, but I grew up to not be a fan of Ole Miss. And so it was a,
Starting point is 00:11:41 it was a nice opportunity for a little slam, for sure. So let me see if I remember the lyrics. I don't have him in front of me, but I've listened to that song so many times. He went to Ole Miss. I went to work. He's pushing paper. I'm pushing dirt, right? Keep going. He's got a clean cut, driving him a clean truck. I'm just sitting here, drinking beer with my jeans tucked. And then he went to Jared. You went to the bar. Yeah, he went to Jared I went to the bar. That song is, I'm going to play it in a second,
Starting point is 00:12:09 but that's the song. Like, of all, and you have your body at work and not just the things that you sing, but that's, and when I saw you perform that, it's my favorite performance. I mean, it was so good.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Awesome, man. Was that ever been any talk about that one being on, you know, one of the big radio songs? Or is that beyond? That was, that was on that record, the collab record, the first one I did called Hicks tape,
Starting point is 00:12:29 and at one beer actually did come off of that record, and we ended up putting it on my record as well, but no it was just fun and it was like potent it did well like online and stuff like that but we never really talked about going to radio with it it's just a fun fun song to play live and how did you get morgan walling on it with you we're just buddies and he was he was always a fan of that song i think at one point he even said like i think i might cut this and then before he cut again before he started going back in the studio i did so i beat him to it and i said well why don't we just do it together so i'm going to play it in a second uh there's another thing that you guys do where you
Starting point is 00:13:04 You shotgun the beer, you pop, boom. Is that legit? Yeah. Do you try to get better at it as the tour goes? I think I'm probably about as good as I am ever going to get at it. I've been doing it a long time. Do you ever finish that and go, oh, I'm a little drunk? Like, because the whole night.
Starting point is 00:13:21 I used to, but I feel like I've gotten in such a rhythm now. It's always like the same every night. But there's been, there's definitely been times. Do you ever not want to do it? You're like, I know we have it in the set. That's what I was saying. to go, you're bloated and you just don't want to do it. I don't drink beer before the show because of that.
Starting point is 00:13:38 And like, it makes me burp. And I don't want to, like, be in the middle of singing and just rip one in front of everybody. So, but no, and it's, that's my last, like, performance, you know, of the night. And so it's a nice, it's almost like a nightcap of, like, it's like a treat or reward, you know, the shotgun of beer, and then you're done. You can go do whatever you want. You come up from the bottom of this underneath the stage. stage out of nowhere there's hearty and he's going hard and you're like wow what is happening right now
Starting point is 00:14:07 and the morgan it's just funny song great song and glad you're here give evans some we just played it top 15 uh you also have the song with dirks and breelan that's top five i mean you're everywhere that's all that's all you ever wanted i think so man just happy to be along for the ride man will you write a song today yeah i'll write a song i'm going to write a song in like 20 minutes You have an idea of what the song will be about. Can you give us a rough outline of what you're going to pitch in the room? I have a couple ideas. We have an idea that's kind of similar to Great Day to Be Alive in the same vein that I think I might throw out today.
Starting point is 00:14:47 Not saying we'll write that. We might, everybody else might hate it, but it's a very similar, like, I'm a good old boy, and these are good things that are happening to me, and they might not be important to everybody, but they're important to me kind of idea. Called a Great Night Not to Be Dead. There you go. Have that. Have that on me.
Starting point is 00:15:04 Thanks. That's for you. At Hardy on Instagram and I'm going to play this song now, even though it's old. On Hicks tape 1. This is, he went to Jared, which I think is such a funny song. It's such a great song. And congratulations on everything, man. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:15:17 There he is. Hardy, everybody. Nice job. If you're ready for your next job, trust your local experts at Express Employment Professionals. Starting point is 00:15:38 I wanted to see what y'all's thoughts were on Will Smith reprising his role as Muhammad Ali. Great fighter last night at the Oscars, except it was more like present-day Ali. Chris Rock took that hit like a chance. All right. Thank you. Yeah, it was quite the hit. It was quite the moment.
Starting point is 00:15:55 But you know what? It was a solid slap as far as slaps go. Yeah, it was hard. and I would have for sure fallen if it were me. If someone hits me like that, even if somebody misses and swings that hard, I'm probably going to fall just because that's what I do. You know, some animals are able to attack back.
Starting point is 00:16:15 Some are able to run, but a turtle just gets in a shell. And, you know, that's what I would do. I'd turtle up immediately. Turtle up. And then just ask for help. On the phone is Adam. Adam, you're on the Bobby Bone show. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:16:29 Indiana. What's going on, buddy? Good morning, studio. Morning. That's awesome. No, I have just kind of a two-sense thing to go with whatever one's been talking about from last night to Oscars and such. My question, I guess, is towards Bobby,
Starting point is 00:16:46 since you've hosted a lot of the shows before, you do jokes and such. Does the committee, the Oscar, or does it the committee of the awards, do they write the jokes? And should they have, if they do, Should they have approached the Smith family saying, hey, we may be mentioning you guys in a couple of jokes here. Is there any no-fly zones or can we, do we have free range?
Starting point is 00:17:10 And if so, maybe they're responsible for the jokes. I think that's a great question. Maybe Chris Rock should or shouldn't have said. Yeah, I can answer this. I think it's a really good question, though, that I didn't even think about asking. But I know the answer to it. So, but Chris Rock wasn't the host. He was a presenter who was doing a little bit of material.
Starting point is 00:17:28 Chris Rock is a great host. But when Chris Rock hosts, he makes fun of people. Right? That's kind of a shtick. He's really good at making fun of celebrities in a way that is poking at him but doesn't poke him too far. He has a team of riders usually and himself, who's a great writer. They write the jokes, but you never, ever, ever tell anyone they're going to be joked about. You just go, I'm going to write some jokes and you've done it before so you know the line to walk up to. Sometimes people get mad, sometimes they don't.
Starting point is 00:17:51 Nobody ever hits. Like, what happened last night? I'd never seen that before. But you write the joke, but you dead. definitely don't tell anyone that it's coming. On top of that, he probably was out there. I don't know. I can also see where Chris Rock is so funny that right before he went out there,
Starting point is 00:18:09 he probably wrote the joke in his head. I came up with it and went out there. I've done that before on shows. You switch? Yeah, I got in trouble, yeah. I did once for CMT. They were like, hey, we present this award? And I was like, yeah, sure.
Starting point is 00:18:19 They put all this stuff on the prompter. And I went out there and went, nah, that's not funny. And I did all my material. And they told me I would never host that show. They told me then. you will never host the CMT Awards. And so, what do you know?
Starting point is 00:18:32 I still haven't. I still haven't. But yes, but I could see Chris Rock. I don't know what happened, but typically you never run jokes by folks. Because even if it's not that offensive, they would be like, I'd rather you not joke about that. I heard a joke that Amy Schumer did last night that was so funny about Leo DiCaprio, and I'm going to butcher it, like Eddie butchered Jim Giacan's joke. But she was like, it's really great what Leo DiCaprio is doing for, you know, future generations and all of his ex-girlfriends with the environment.
Starting point is 00:18:58 which all of his ex-girlvens are so young in future generations. I butcher the joke, but I was like, that's funny. But if you went to DeCaprio and said, hey, do you care if they make this joke? Maybe he goes, I don't know. I don't know. That's why you don't.
Starting point is 00:19:12 So I doubt it was run by anybody, but I think that's a great question. And I also don't think that he should have got him and slapped him. But thank you. And Adam, hope you have a great morning, man. Yep, do the same. Thank you. See, buddy.
Starting point is 00:19:25 Here it is. Here's her joke. Leo DiCaprio. What can I even say about him? He's done so much to fight climate change and leave behind a cleaner, greener planet for his girlfriends. See, it's funny when it's dead. I was paraphrasing a joke, and that never works.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Brandon and Texas, you are on. Let's talk about this. So Will Smith gets up, pops Chris Rock in the face. What'd you think? How are y'all doing this morning show? Pretty good, buddy. Okay, so I want to, before I start, I'll lay out my man card that way I can,
Starting point is 00:20:01 show that I have a little bit of... I'm a former Marine who fought in the Battle of Fallujah at the end of 2004, at 18. So I suffer from extreme PTSD
Starting point is 00:20:16 and everything associated with it, including extreme anger and a lack of inability to control it. But what Will Smith did was childish. And there's better ways to handle that from somebody who is directly in the spotlight.
Starting point is 00:20:40 And then afterwards, when he was given a speech for his Oscar, he made the comment, he wants to be a river for his people and things like that. Well, the river you just laid out for people was that it's okay to physically assault somebody based off of words. that's not right. You can't do that. And that's the problem. To me, that's the problem with a lot of society today is so many people are quick to jump and make brash decisions. And a lot of them nowadays turn into violence. And then you hear about people talking on the news about how much violence there is in this country.
Starting point is 00:21:25 Well, yeah, it's because you have people doing. things like that, that's showing the people who look up to them that it's okay to do. But Denzel, to me, Denzel Washington made the best comment of the night after that happened when he, and Will Smith said it, he said, Denzel just told me that in your highest moment is when the devil will reach out to try to grab you. And it's true. And that's even for me being a combat vet who suffers from PTSD. Three months into a, a, rehabilitation from alcohol and drug abuse. I spent 15 years running from my PTSD and my doctors.
Starting point is 00:22:06 And I've been in many, many fights. I'm 6'2, 240 pounds. And I have a family that I protect. But there's a difference between protecting your family and showing them the right way to protect each other and just being flat out ignorant. Well, Brandon, I appreciate that. call. Thank you for your service, obviously. You have been through some stuff and you did it for us.
Starting point is 00:22:33 And, you know, I couldn't thank you enough, but also appreciate your perspective as well. So I thank you and I hope you have an awesome day, man. Thanks for taking the time to give us a call. Yes, sir. Thank you. Have a good day. I'm just not a big believer that violence is proof of love. That's a tough one for me. But also, I don't like to get beat up. Let's do one more This is Torrea That's a cool name
Starting point is 00:23:02 Hope I'm saying that right Oh Toria Okay Let's talk to Toria in Colorado Hi Toria Hi Toria Hi how are you Doing pretty good
Starting point is 00:23:11 What would you like to say I was actually just calling To get your opinion On Denzel Washington And Bradley Cooper Like counseling Will Smith
Starting point is 00:23:24 After he slapped Chris Ross I mean, my opinion is anybody stepping in to go, hey, man, you okay? Like, let's check on you. I think that's great. Anyone hopping in to go, like, what's happening here? Are you good? Are you going to hurt anybody else? Like, what?
Starting point is 00:23:39 I think it's great. And I think Denzel Washington said some really poignant things that Will Smith brought up. Again, I wasn't there. I saw Nicole Kimman's picture. Just that where she was like, oh, she freaked out. It was a good picture. I think anyone stepping in to help someone at a time of need, and that was a time of need for Will Smith. I think we saw somebody struggling.
Starting point is 00:23:56 I think that's what I think I saw But I don't know that Right we don't know and there's a lot There's so many gaps that we don't know the details And and there's other Everyone has their own internal trauma and triggers And we don't know what's really going on But why does she have a problem with it?
Starting point is 00:24:14 Oh I don't know it's a good question Do you have a problem with Denzel? Oh well why did you ask? I'm just curious I was just listening to you guys and I was just kind of like, I wonder what he felt like when Denzel Washington and like huge A-list stars are like holding his wife's hand and holding him back and rubbing shoulders and stuff and trying to, you know, obviously calm him down. I just wanted to get the opinion of you guys. You thought about that. Who really bug me.
Starting point is 00:24:49 I just was kind of like, what happened? Like, I had no idea if this is real or fake. Us too. Same thing. I was like, this is wrestling? This is the greatest bit ever. Until he started cursing. And then I realized that's not the greatest bit ever. He's really upset. I think at times you step into, even, just because of your friend doesn't mean they don't screw up. Right. There's grace. Well, yeah, he needed someone to be. Everyone there needed someone to be there for them. And those are, those were the people that showed up for Will. And I feel like, I'm not going to be mad at somebody for being like, yo, let's let me help you right now. Yeah. Yeah. So, but yeah, those.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Tough, man. I was in the bat. I was feeding the dogs last night when it happened. And so we do the whole song and dance or I feed them in different rooms. They try to eat each other. Then you don't know who gets to eat. So I feed them in different rooms. And I get a text from Caitlin going from the bedroom.
Starting point is 00:25:42 Did you see this? And that's, and Mike had posted it. And so I was like, oh my God. And I was like, there's no way. And then I saw the Japanese version. I was like, oh, it's real. And then that that's it. But yeah, crazy story.
Starting point is 00:25:53 We'll know more. or they will paint the story the story in ways over the next 48 hours but after the show's over I won't care about it anymore I mean else with that. But it does take away the fact that Will Smith won that academy award for the best actor
Starting point is 00:26:09 Like we'll remember but only because he slapped Chris Rock but it wasn't even the biggest moment like it was finally he's been such a great actor for such a long time and then that happened we appreciate that call and thank you for calling the show and I'll play some clips of it coming up in a little bit
Starting point is 00:26:23 Bobby Bonesh. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny. While Sam Hunt was on the Country Countdown USA, he announced the gender of his first child. They are having a baby girl and are waiting until after she is born to choose a name. Reba McIntyre shared why her new album gives her inspiration and hope. This collection of songs gives me inspiration and hope.
Starting point is 00:26:49 And that's what I was looking for when I was choosing the songs to put on this. album. And I think we did a really good job of finding just the perfect songs and the combination. Marin Morris's new album Humble Quest came out on Friday. Here she is talking about the new project. Motherhood, marriage, the pandemic, not being able to tour. And then just trying to be creative again, it all ended up being these songs. And so it just felt like a huge growth period, but also less pressure going into trying to prove myself because I feel like I don't have. to do that. I'm Morgan number two.
Starting point is 00:27:26 That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. You know how you see a cat stuck in a tree? So who do they call? Firefighters. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:38 I have never actually seen that. But on television, that's what happens. Well, these firefighters in New York were called to rescue a horse stuck in a pool. What? Crazy. Probably don't get that call a lot. Probably not. So firefighters in New York had to rescue a horse that fell into a residence
Starting point is 00:27:53 backyard pool and then became entangled in the cover. So they got there with police. The horse, and I'm not saying I would be so smart that I wouldn't do this. Try to walk on top of the cover because it looks like land. Makes sense. Yeah. Okay, I get it. Now I had so many questions that now it's making sense. Let me answer them all for you. Then he fell in. And so they worked. They got the horse. First they had to untangle and then they walked into the shallow and they got it out of the pool. But that's a call. I bet they don't get off it. No. Man, now I want a horse in my backyard. That made you want a horse on your backyard? I mean, I've always. one and one, but I mean, I didn't, I guess,
Starting point is 00:28:25 I don't know how big their backyard is, but is it possible? It's pretty big. It can hold the horse. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Is this funny or not cool? There's a girl. She calls herself the lipstick bandit,
Starting point is 00:28:42 and she does these little videos, and she goes up to guys and bars, and she, like, kisses the back of their shirt without them knowing it. No. He leaves lipstick. That's not cool. So mean. That is so wrong. It is so wrong.
Starting point is 00:28:53 Tell you, one time I was leaving a party and somebody sprayed perfume on me. Oh, no. And I'm not. Oh, Amy, you don't believe me. Stop. Why did they do that? This is perfect. This is perfect.
Starting point is 00:29:05 Let me say this. This is perfect. I went, wow, I cannot believe it. That is so mean. And Amy goes, that's not true. And that's what I worried about when I got home. It's like, is my wife going to think this is real or not. You wouldn't believe it?
Starting point is 00:29:16 He starts to keep up the story on air. Oh, come on. This was like 20 years ago. And I admire that about you. I admire that about you. No, it's crazy. That's hilarious. That we reacted so different to that.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Yeah, but why would someone do that? For that exact reason. They were spraying everyone. Just like, I'm going my way home. Don't do that. The lipstick bandit. Why would she do that? Funny.
Starting point is 00:29:37 It's funny. It's not funny. Nicholas Cage, the actor, what's his best movie? Face off. Oh, that's not it. Oh. National Treasure. National Treasure.
Starting point is 00:29:47 For sure. Conair. Oh, good one. It's a good one. He bought a dinosaur skull, and he spent like 300,000 bucks on it. But here he is, he's like, I still, he had to donate it back because it was stolen. What? And here he is talking about he still hasn't got his money back.
Starting point is 00:30:00 There's the skull I bought at an auction and I bought it legally. Here's the McGuffin. When the Magogonian government said that they needed it back, I gave it to him, but I never got my money back. So somebody at the auction house should be in jail. What's McGuffin? What is a McGuffin? McGuffin. It kind of sounds like if Luke, Brian, was a bit older.
Starting point is 00:30:23 a little drunker. For sure. It sounds like Luke. It does. I heard just guffin. No, it's muck guffin. Well, Nick Cage bought a dinosaur skull for $300,000 bucks and then had to give it back.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Why do you owe the Mongolian government, by the way? What are they going to do? I think I sent a repo man? Might. They might have a dangerous one. And then finally, Arizona is going to offer the ability to put your driver's license on your phone, meaning if you have an Apple,
Starting point is 00:30:47 an iPhone, there's something called the wallet, and I use that, you know, to go into events, tickets for games. and so but you can put it on your phone and goes to the airport with just your phone. That's cool. Which seems cool. But people are worried, well, what if they hack it?
Starting point is 00:30:59 Well, if they hack the phone, they're going to get pictures of my ID anyway because I take my insurance cards. I'm like you're going to say something else. Well, that too. Passport. Yes, all of that. Vaccination.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Yes. And so I admire the people in Arizona for trying this. I hope it is successful. Then it will be open to everyone. Also, iPhones are hard to hack because there will be stories in the news where somebody commits a crime. and dies or somebody has information and die and it's on their iPhone and cops can't even
Starting point is 00:31:28 get in the iPhone like they can't even hack it they don't they can't get the code they got to go to the Supreme Court so I hope this works and good for Arizona two things we like one this and then two Arizona also they have no daylight savings that's right and you know what they're living life great last I heard they're doing great over there actually best best life I just read one of all lives yes well McGuffin is necessary to the plot So it's either an object, device, or event. And it normally serves as a trigger for the plot. I used to get those when I was a kid.
Starting point is 00:32:00 It would be a real treasure to go to McDonald's in the morning and get one of those. That's a McMuffin. Oh, McMuffin. Oh, McMuffin. Okay. New Zeequel Pure Zee's restorative herbal sleep is a melatonin free sleep aid made with clinically studied plant-based ingredients to help promote better restorative sleep. Sleep this good, feel this good.
Starting point is 00:32:23 We're going to help Morgan here. Morgan, what's happening at the grocery store? Well, so I go to this place, like, regularly, probably once a week, and this guy has picked up on it, I guess. And so every time I go in, one of the workers at the grocery store gives me a free item. Sometimes it's a protein bar. Sometimes it's a chocolate cake. Other times it's candy. I've gotten three free items so far from this guy.
Starting point is 00:32:45 Well, chocolate cake's not like the rest. You got a whole chocolate cake? Yeah, like it was in a freezer section thing that you pop in the oven or whatever. He was like, this is my favorite. Started a whole conversation about it and then made sure he gave it to me for free. Is he a manager? No. He also, when I was standing in line to check out, he purposely came and switched the other guy out so that he would be there checking me out.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Okay, yeah, for sure. Up until then, I was like, maybe he does, maybe he doesn't. That, he's in love with you. Wow. Yeah, I mean, I feel like are we, is he going to lose his job? He can't be doing this. I think there's an important question. How old is this guy?
Starting point is 00:33:24 I don't know. He wears hats often, so I can't really tell on age. But he does look like he's probably in his 30s, roughly. So he gives you free stuff, which strikes up conversation. When you're going through the line, has he ever at all flirted or made any sort of move? No, he's never like outward done that. He told me about his day and the hobby that he's gotten into, which was like an extensive conversation with a cashier person. Yeah, what was a hobby?
Starting point is 00:33:52 gardening. He was really excited to tell me about his gardening that he got into. But that was unprompted. He was like, how's your day? I got into this and just wanted to talk to me while I have like five items to check out. Has he messaged you on Instagram and your general or anything? Not that I'm aware of, no. Okay, he's in love with you. Right, everybody? For sure. Yeah. Do you still have a boyfriend? Yes, I do. Okay. Okay. Has he seen him? Yes, he's been in the store with me. But like, we'll buy things separately. So sometimes he won't see us together. And my boyfriend's like, it's fine. You can just buy. my groceries next time if this is what's going to happen. I like how I think. I'd be the same way.
Starting point is 00:34:26 I'd be like, hey, just go through it by yourself. Maybe we get another free cake today. What were you going to say? Okay, so either he's giving the, handing it out for free and like, should it be? Or he's super sweet. And I mean, he's covering the bill. Like, he knows he gave away the chocolate cake. And so he covers, like maybe they have, they can do that where they pay the $5 to make sure it's paid for.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Yeah, but both are love. I know. But I'm just making sure. I just worry about if he's doing something shading, he's going to end up getting fired because of Morgan. But we don't even know the guy. We don't even know the grocery store. Why are you worried about him?
Starting point is 00:34:56 Yeah. Would you date this guy if you didn't have a boyfriend? I don't think so. I mean, he's cute, but not really my type. Okay, so he must not be like a creepy stalker type. No, he doesn't act like that at all. So, final question. If, for some reason, you and your boyfriend break up, would you then consider the
Starting point is 00:35:14 grocery store guy? I don't think so. He's so sweet, though. Yeah, I love it. He gives you chocolate cake. He does. You could garden together. You know, like, how long can I let this go on for?
Starting point is 00:35:23 Do I keep just letting him give me free stuff? That's a good question, too. What does Morgan say anything? I don't know. I don't. Why would you say something? You're getting free stuff. Because eventually it's going to get awkward. Well, eventually he's going to have to make some sort of move.
Starting point is 00:35:36 Yes. And then that's when the free stuff stops. Whenever you're like, oh, I have a boyfriend. And that's when his heart breaks and he goes to depression. That's when all that stuff happens. And then he follows her car. That's going to happen naturally, though, right? Oh, Lee.
Starting point is 00:35:50 That's going to happen naturally. that whole process. At some point he's going to be like, all right, I'm just going to do it. You want to go on a date with me and she's going to say no. And he's obsessing about it every night. Yeah. And not in like he's going to stab you kind of way, but he's like, oh, I really would like to work up to courage. We don't know that. But he probably, if I were, he can't find you on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Well, I guess you don't post your boyfriend on Instagram really. I don't. And I, well, what's crazy, though, is I also don't go in there like dolled up. I'm like going in after I worked out. I'm like, sometimes I go in there without makeup. I don't know that this man actually knows who or anything about me because I go in there so different every time. Like sometimes I've walked in there with full on makeup and he's never talked to me. So I don't know.
Starting point is 00:36:26 My advice, keep accepting the free stuff, but just know one day it's going to get awkward and it's like, hey, do you? And I would just be prepared and be like, oh, and have some nice answer to let him down easy. Okay. Can I just be like, you know, I'm sorry I have a boyfriend. You're super sweet though. Like, what's the best way to let him down? Yeah, that's a tough one. I would probably say like, hey, buddy, thanks for the free stuff.
Starting point is 00:36:47 And maybe there's a chance later if you can give me free stuff. Oh, wow. But right now I have a boyfriend. Stop. But yeah, it's going to get awkward. You can make it awkward earlier by going, hey, I can't take that stuff because I have a boyfriend. And then he goes, I'll just give it to you because it's part of the art sale today. Then you feel awkward.
Starting point is 00:37:04 I'm not going to do that. I'm so bad about being awkward. So I'm not doing that. Okay, prediction. This is how we're going to wrap this up. A prediction game. The next time Morgan goes in, if he gives her something, what will it be? Everybody want to put a dollar in?
Starting point is 00:37:18 Sure. And if somebody gets it right? We got to be specific, though, right? Like a specific item Okay, I'll go head of lettuce Okay That's, you lost You've lost it
Starting point is 00:37:26 Hey, you don't know Amy Boxed cereal Ooh, it's good Eddie Um, paper product What? Not just paper product
Starting point is 00:37:34 Like a what? Let's go with paper towels Okay Too much Too big lunchbox It's easy guys It's a bell pepper She likes green bell peppers
Starting point is 00:37:42 He's gardens He brings up from his own garden That's so good That's so good Okay Let us know next time you go in I will And we'll check back up
Starting point is 00:37:50 And I'll collect my cash when you get the head of lettuce though. Lettuce. Head of lettuce. He's reading this story about how if you want to remember something, don't write it on your computer.
Starting point is 00:38:00 If you want to save something, write it on the computer or your phone. But if you want to remember something, write it with your hand, which I've been doing because I guess I just naturally found out that's what worked for me. If I type something to my computer,
Starting point is 00:38:11 I'm like, all right, let me remember this. Or my phone. In today, out tomorrow. It's like putting a phone number on my phone. I don't remember that stuff. But if I do write it down with my hand, And for some reason, that sticks.
Starting point is 00:38:23 And so now science says that the fact that you're putting attention into every single letter in the shape of each letter kind of burns it into your brain. Yeah, I could see that because typing is just sort of like sometimes when you're driving. You get to a location and you don't even know how you got there. And like sometimes I type paragraphs. Why do you drive? No, but I compare the same. Like I'll type a bunch of stuff and it's like I don't even know how I typed it. My brain just did it.
Starting point is 00:38:48 Tax time is always stressful. But this stress can magnify if an identity thief steals your info, files a bogus return, pockets your refund, that would be terrible. The IRS recommends electronic filing and using their pin tool for extra security. Other safety tips include looking out for phishing scams, checking your financial accounts regularly for unusual activity, and setting up two-factor authentication. You know, every day we put our information at risk on the internet.
Starting point is 00:39:12 In an instant, a cybercriminal could steal what's yours. Sometimes harm your finances or your credit or your reputation. The good thing is there's life lock. Lifelock helps detect a wide range of identity threats like your social security number being for sale on the dark web. No one can't prevent all identity theft or monitor all transactions and all businesses, but you can help protect what's yours with LifeLock by Norton. Starting point is 00:39:46 LifeLock.com, use the promo code bones. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Have you ever heard of an if I go missing file? No. Okay, well, these are... I think I know what it is, but I don't know. These are files or folders that you make just in case you go missing and help people solve the case. With real paper?
Starting point is 00:40:08 Yeah. I mean, no, you put lots of stuff, you put all your information, what you look like, your fingerprints, medical info, types of transportation, relationships. I should probably get a fire extinguisher first in the kitchen, just in general. Oh, like to start with. Yeah, like if I'm being proactive about things, there are other things I should, I'll probably get to before that. No, this comes from the crime junkie podcast and they created this PDF.
Starting point is 00:40:31 You can fill out all of your information. So they've kind of done the work for you and you fill it out. And this could help find you if you go missing, which by the way, 543,000 people were reported missing in 2020. I need batteries too. I don't have any batteries around that. How does this help you if you go missing? If I go missing, I have hidden.
Starting point is 00:40:53 And I also, if I make a file, it's to throw you off my scent. I'll put the opposite stuff in it. You don't want to be found. I'll put them near the batteries and the fire extinguisher. Okay. Something to consider with this type of info all being in one place is someone could easily steal your identity if they find this folder or file. So, store it in a safety deposit box or keep it with a lawyer or something like that.
Starting point is 00:41:14 A lot easier. Okay. Okay. So, Bobby, you're probably someone that brings me. rushes off small talk if I had to guess. Oh, I cannot. I don't like hang nails, mayonnaise, or small time? So, I read an article that said small talk, actually conversations that last around five minutes or more, is actually a really good exchange, like meaningful information is passed back and forth that helps build a relationship. You can ask questions. You seem engaged. But it's not
Starting point is 00:41:42 a long, drawn out type conversation, but it can be meaningful to people in your lives. Small talk has to be a means to get somewhere else, or I will not take part in it. I don't, I hate it. And at times I can seem cold because of that, because I got two ways. I'm either cold or extremely warm. I don't like small talk. I don't like talk for no reason. I'm going to be like, what's up?
Starting point is 00:42:04 Hey, nice, cute weather, huh? Okay, well, this article says, stop doing that to your coworkers in the hallway. Oh, I don't. I don't talk to them. I don't talk to them. No, no exchanges. Okay. If you have about a million dollars, you could be the next.
Starting point is 00:42:17 ex-owner of the house that Taylor Swift lived in her entire childhood. I was reading a story that people don't really buy houses just because somebody famous lived there. Like if there's something cool about it, like the full house house in San Francisco. Yeah. That's a really expensive house anyway in a really expensive part of town. It marketed itself, but no one really pays extra for where celebrities live. The Michael Jordan House cannot sell in Chicago. Really.
Starting point is 00:42:43 It's been on the market since like 2000. Because people take pictures? It's just massive. And he keeps lowering it millions and millions of dollars and they cannot sell it. People are like, why not? It's Michael Jordan's house. It's got a big number 23 on the gate. It's like people aren't going to spend that kind of money just be where a celebrity is.
Starting point is 00:42:58 And I'm assuming this Taylor House is like an older house. Yeah, it's a colonial home in Pennsylvania, five bedroom, four baths. Now this is before she got, you know, Taylor Swift's status. But her parents were wealthy. Yeah, she had rich parents. They've got to be a nice house. Yeah. The current owner had no idea.
Starting point is 00:43:16 that Taylor Swift had lived there before he moved into the house. But anyway, he soon figured it out because lots of people take pictures and different things. A million dollars. Oh, that's what it is. Yeah. Just straight up a million bucks. I thought you're like, if you have an extra million, you can afford the down payment. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:43:31 The Michael Jordan House was originally listed for $29 million. It has every bell and whistle you can think of. Some of the over improvements are a pool with a grass island in the middle. A door from the Playboy Mansion. A table based on the streets of Baguble. like dad and MGA branded golf flags, but they keep lowering it and nobody will buy it. I'm not interested. If they get it like 30,000, I'll jump back.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Yeah, me too. There's a bid. Yeah, I'm there. I'll mow the grass in the middle of the pool. All right, Amy. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:44:02 It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So there's this grandmother. She's been going to St. Mary's church for years. She got married there. She witnessed her daughter. wedding there. Very special place to her. So when she heard they were going to knock it down,
Starting point is 00:44:20 she was devastated. Well, her daughter and her granddaughter, they were able to get a pew from the church and restore it and give it to her so she can have it forever. That's super cool. Here's the clip of her. Oh, Mary. You know where that? I see Mary. That's awesome. Clearly an emotional gift, but super special. It's made me emotional. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good I've got two dogs Stanley who's a bulldog Eller who's kind of a husky mix
Starting point is 00:45:00 that we found and adopted They're pretty spoiled But spoiled in different ways Where Stanley's a big fat bulldog He just wants to lay around and sleep all day So he has a nice bed We gave Eller a nice bed She ripped it up
Starting point is 00:45:10 We have her two nice bed She ripped him both up That's not her thing She just needs a piece of cardboard to lay on Stanley will put We'll let him hang out in the room He snores so loud But we'll let him hang out of the room
Starting point is 00:45:21 He likes to lay around. Ella, she won't stay in the room. She needs to go run around the house all the time. Very different dogs. But they're both, I would say, pretty spoiled. However, there's a seven-year-old peek-a-poo named Cocoa, walk-in closet, four road wardrobes, all the clothes are worth about $75,000. Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:45:40 There are Louis Vuitton, Valentino, Tiffany. This dog is six figures a year. Wow. It's from the New York Post. Her owner, 32-year-old Alina Michael, says, Coco is my fur baby. I hate fur baby. That's, I hate a fur baby. But also, the name is awful. I think you're going to say some rich 70-year-old. She's 32.
Starting point is 00:45:58 The insurance adjuster says her friends and family thinks she is crazy for how much she spends on her dog. Yeah, yeah, not just them. That's a lot. That's crazy. Yeah. And there's no way Coco likes wearing that clothes. She heard closet. It's, it's this big white closet with all these compartments and all the dog clothes and dog bags. It's, it is what I would say. I don't know if she has a kid or not, but living vicariously through your dog instead of your kid. She's just doing that to the dog.
Starting point is 00:46:28 And the dog's like, what's happening? Why is this on me? Yeah. It's a crazy story. We'll put it up if you want to see it on our Facebook. But Coco, a seven-year-old piquetoo, which is a Pekinese and Poodle mix. Oh, cute. Walk-in closet wardrobes, Louis Vuitton, all the nines, to the nines, whatever that's saying is.
Starting point is 00:46:46 All right, time for Amy's morning corny. The Morning Corny. I just flew back from a Transformers convention. Oh, yeah? And boy, are my arms tires. Okay, this is why that's funny. Because kids aren't going to get this at all. What?
Starting point is 00:47:07 That is like an old 1950s, 1960s joke where the guy would go, hey, just flew in from Reno and boy, my arms tired. And you're like, I get it. But it's that joke mixed with. her arms are tires like a transformer. You had to take like four leaps to make that happen, but that's it. You got there.
Starting point is 00:47:27 Oh, I got there. Good job. Yeah. Or the other one is, I got a story to tell you about last night. So my wife, by the way, take my wife. Please!
Starting point is 00:47:37 Is that an old 50s one too? I haven't heard that one. But it's the same style. That's good. Let's talk about, take my wife. Please. And then everybody's like, ah.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Okay. Okay. What's happening in your neighborhood? My neighbor has parked their broken down vehicle in front of my house for two months. Same neighbor that hated the other Christmas lights up? No, different neighbor. Oh, wow. Different neighbor.
Starting point is 00:48:02 And what's annoying is we have street parking so you don't have driveway, so it blocks the front of my house. So I'm parking across the street, down the street. I cannot park in front of my house because there's a broken down vehicle. And this dude also has a work truck. So he just drives this work truck. Why fix the broken down car when you got a work? truck and it just sits there and I want to know what do I do? Okay, do you have option?
Starting point is 00:48:26 I have option. Okay, here we go. Nothing. It's street parking and I'm just out of luck. B, call the city and have the vehicle towed. C, go to the house and confront the neighbor about their broken down vehicle being there for months in front of my house. Or D, go the passive aggressive route and leave a note on the car and hope he moves it.
Starting point is 00:48:46 The problem is he may not see the note if he never gets in the car. Right. Passive aggressive is having it towed. And not saying who it was. No, that's just aggressive. You're not dealing with it face to face. So the options are nothing. And I think if it's been there two months and it's driving you crazy.
Starting point is 00:49:01 Yeah, and guess what? It's part the wrong way. Like it's facing the wrong way. I don't care about that. Well, I'm... Okay. He does. Do you know which house it is?
Starting point is 00:49:10 Oh, yeah. Oh, I know. Do you think you would get beat up if you went over there and did something? Nah, a guy's a little short guy. He's probably, I mean, he's probably 23, 24. But he's tiny. He's tiny. He's probably shorter than Ray.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Oh, wow. That's a little. But is he also skinny? Yeah. Does he look like he can be wiry and fight you there? Nah. Yeah, like scrappy. But he has a work truck.
Starting point is 00:49:31 It does have a work truck. It's work truck, I'd say he works on garage doors. Oh, so that's not like. We're just putting all of his facts out there. I, okay. So I don't think it's nothing because he's at two months. You can't leave a car broken down parked in front of that. The house is not yours.
Starting point is 00:49:50 Right. You can. You can. I know you can, but you can't. Like you shouldn't. Right. Call the city. I don't think you just have the vehicle towed either.
Starting point is 00:50:00 I think there are steps before this. My vote would be if you know the house. Oh, I know the house. That you go up and like an adult, knock on the door and ask if there's anything that you can do to help him move his car or. Ooh, like pay for it. If there's, well, if there's anything. or if he knows when he'll be able to move his car. I think the worst thing you can do is be like, hey,
Starting point is 00:50:23 shrimpie, move your car. Because that will be bad for a long time to come. Okay. So I think it's just having a rational conversation. It's a hey, it's very difficult for us because your car's parked around our house. Yeah, we got kids. It's hard to get them out. Amy, why are you shaking your head?
Starting point is 00:50:36 Because I was listening to this Dateline episode podcast. Well, you know somebody's going to die in one of these. Yeah. Neighbors, they started to not get along. They would fight. And then one of the neighbors shot the other guy. Eventually. What?
Starting point is 00:50:50 Wait, well. What? They shoot them over. Well, it just escalated quickly. They just didn't get along. So what I say is, I just leave it, leave it B. I don't want to get a shot. That's what I say.
Starting point is 00:51:01 What's that option A? One vote, leave it B. Do nothing. I don't want to get shot. Add that to it. My vote would be go and just like an adult, have a conversation, but record it. Okay. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:51:12 My vote is easily C, confront the neighbor, and please record it so we can hear this conversation go down. You got two, I don't use the word confront. Yeah, that's a bad word. That was the option. I would say have a conversation with the neighbor on what you can do together to make sure his car is moved from out in front of your house. Because it doesn't have to be by law. It's fine. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:51:34 There is street parking. Although, I don't know if you can leave a broken out car on the side of the street, though, honestly. I don't know what the rule on that is or the law on that is. I don't think you can just have a car broken down and have a spot forever. No, I've seen some and they put that little sticker on it. Yeah, that's why I was going to call the city. Yeah. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I've lived places before where a car has had a flat tire, so clearly it's not going anywhere for years. And no one challenged it probably. Right. Do this. Go talk to him. Will you do it today? I'll go knock today. I'm not scared.
Starting point is 00:52:01 Will you bring it? Okay. Your tiny is scared. Come on. Well, you bring it back on the show tomorrow. I'll bring it tomorrow. Can you call him little man when you talk to him? Oh, that'd be hilarious.
Starting point is 00:52:10 Right, right. I don't do that. I'm not going to call him a little bit. I wouldn't do that. Yeah, I heard the Dateline episode where the neighbor gets shot. I don't know about that. That's awful. Have a conversation.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Record it. Bring it to us tomorrow. All right. Does he, can he record it? I know he recorded that other neighbor, that the lights, but like. I don't know what he can do. So we're just not our problem. Hey, I'm not telling him too.
Starting point is 00:52:28 I'm saying, if he does, though, we'll listen to it. He does, he does. If he does, we'll listen to it. All right. Tomorrow you have that? I'll bring it tomorrow. All right, here we go. Same time tomorrow, we'll go over and see what happens with lunchbox and his neighbor.
Starting point is 00:52:39 In case you missed it live, which I did because I don't watch award shows because they're pretty much garbage. But I did see it three minutes after it happened. And then I turned it on. But in case you missed it, Will Smith slapped Chris Rock across the face. I thought it was fake when I first saw it. It was such a perfect slap and such a perfect head. Everything about it.
Starting point is 00:53:02 Same staged. The camera angle. It was perfectly shot, perfectly executed, perfectly back in the seat. That's because it was real. I know. That was like that was A plus. Yeah. That's the best bit I ever seen.
Starting point is 00:53:15 I know. It's crazy. But it wasn't a bit. So I have lots of thoughts, but I do want to play it again. I don't think people have missed it, but just to kind of reset it. But Chris Rock was telling jokes. He was presenting an award. And he turned his attention to Will Smith and Jada Pinkett.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Jada's head was shaved. And he said, Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2 can't wait to see it. Here's the clip of that. Jada, I love you. G.I. Jane 2 can't wait to see it. All right? That was a nice one.
Starting point is 00:53:52 Okay. I'm out here. Oh, Richard. Oh, wow. Wow. Will Smith to... Oh, okay. That was a greatest night in the history of television.
Starting point is 00:54:13 Okay. So a couple things. One, I mean, Chris Rock took it, stood back up, took a breath, and just kind of kept going. Even though that was the wildest thing I've ever seen. I would have fallen. I went fetal. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:25 I just started yelling, help! Also, if Chris Rock wouldn't have been small Chris Rock, I don't think Big Will would have walked up there. If it had been The Rock, and he'd have said the same thing, I don't think Will Smith walks up and hits him. I don't know. Will Smith said love makes you do crazy things. Something's happening in Will's life.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Well, he's clearly because his wife, like just to fill people in in case they don't know this part, is Jada has an autoimmune disease that is. causing her hair to fall out. And so she shaved it because of that. So I'm sure it's something in their home that's very personal and emotional for her and difficult. He laughed at the joke. Well, yeah, I think initially. And then he reacted.
Starting point is 00:55:08 My point is he laughed at the joke. And if Chris Rock didn't know that, that's a conversation you have later. You're right. Well, obviously. It's not you walk up and hit somebody. No. And if Chris Rock knew that, that's a conversation you have later. where you handle that, how you need to handle that.
Starting point is 00:55:28 But there was, there's, you can't do that there. And so, yeah, Will Smith's kind of a chump for the whole thing. And I don't think he hits Chris Rock. Chris Rock isn't three inches and 60 pounds smaller than him either. Oh, yeah. But they're just too very light. It's like, for example, the CMA Awards are happening. And Keith Urban walks up and hits a little big town in the face.
Starting point is 00:55:50 They're both so likable. And you're like, why are these two hitting each other? Right. That's a good analogy. Like everyone, and then Will Smith gets up, by the way, stays in his seat, then gets up and wins the award. Now, I was watching live right after because I got to see what happens. And he was the favorite to win the award. And then he gets up and gives a speech and it's like, you know, we protect the ones we love.
Starting point is 00:56:11 And I'm just like, shut up, man. They shouldn't even let you give the speech. And he ruined that moment for himself. That'll always be known as the slap, not Will Smith, finally winning the award. And didn't he apologize? No, not to Chris Rock. Not to Chris Rock. To everybody else.
Starting point is 00:56:27 But the one person that deserves the apology. I know. I was just clarifying because I didn't watch that part. Yeah, Will Smith was a chump. Okay. From this whole situation. No other way around it, Will Smith the chump. You don't do that.
Starting point is 00:56:38 I don't feel like you agree with me. You keep looking down when I say that. No, I don't agree with it at all. No, with me. I agree with what you're saying. I don't agree with... Say it, Will Smith. You need to hear you say it.
Starting point is 00:56:49 Loud and proud, Amy. Will Smith is a chump. Right. But I... Yeah, what I'm saying is I don't agree with him behaving that way. I agree with you. We're on the same page. Maybe I tell jokes, and then I don't want somebody to hit me.
Starting point is 00:57:01 When I think about it, maybe I just care about me in the situation. Yeah, he absolutely could have handled it in private. It's just not a good example to set. This is not how we behave. Like, this is, I mean, Chris Rock, he could technically press charges. And he won't. And he also didn't get punched. And also, if you will, don't you punch?
Starting point is 00:57:19 Like, if you're really going to leave a mark right there, because that's a big, bold thing to do to walk up. and pop somebody in the face. I don't care what the situation is. On TV, why slap? I wouldn't punch because I wouldn't want to hurt my hand because I'm a boo-boo-boo baby. You know?
Starting point is 00:57:35 I hadn't thought of the difference between punching and slapping. Those big difference. Really? Yeah. If you're going to do it, I'm going to commit and do it. But Chris Rock, man, stood up, didn't fall. I'd have fallen. Here's what Will Smith should have done
Starting point is 00:57:49 if he was really upset and wanted to make Chris Rock look bad in that situation. And I thought this immediately afterward. He should have walked up there and said, hey man, stop. Let me tell you why that joke is wrong. And then told the story. And Chris Rock would have looked like a complete douche if, well, either way. But especially if he knew.
Starting point is 00:58:05 And even if he didn't, he'd have been like, oh, man, I didn't know that. Like, sorry about that. He definitely would have done that. Like, that would have been the move to hurt him worse. Like if you were really trying to go, all right, Chris Rock, time for you to pay. You do the same thing. You walk up there. You go, give me a microphone.
Starting point is 00:58:20 Then you go, you see her? This is who I love. and I want to tell you why her head is shaved and why I don't feel like that joke's appropriate. And then you tell that story and then everybody's like, oh, good point. They probably give Will Smith the standing ovation. They probably bring him the Oscar right then.
Starting point is 00:58:34 He gets a speech right then. And then it's a beautiful example of how to handle things in life that come up. Instead, he slapped them. Yeah. Look like a chunk. Weird. It was so perfectly shot.
Starting point is 00:58:46 Like, they should give that an Oscar for the most perfectly shot award show awkward moment. It's got to get a kid's choice award, right? Some of one of those weird awards. Yeah. So I watched it, again, saw that on Twitter. I think I saw Mike D post it. And then I said, well, let me go over here.
Starting point is 00:59:03 And then I waited for Will's speech. And you could tell people really didn't want to clap, especially at first. And you go, sometimes you do stuff for people you love, people like, boo. And then they kind of clapped. Just weird. I didn't like it. I liked it for this reason, so I could talk about it. But I didn't, you just can't go hitting somebody.
Starting point is 00:59:22 like that. Yeah, no. I'm still shocked. And if you have to hit somebody, you go hit them later in private when you call and say, hey, I'd like to see you outside and then you do it. Not there. But then also, if you're going to do it there, use a fist, not a slap. But also, don't tough guy it when the other guy doesn't have a chance of tough guy. Chris Rock didn't know he's about to get hit. He probably never thought that's about to happen, even as Will Smith was walking up. I know that he was caught off guard, but is anybody surprised he didn't, like, try to fight back? he's given up like three inches and like 45 pounds and also
Starting point is 00:59:54 That's because he's little Yes Okay But he stayed up there and he's like all right For my next for the next act And then how about Questlaw winning after that Wasn't that right after? And he's got to give a speech right
Starting point is 01:00:08 For the most awkward moment in TV history Awkward I like Will Smith again eventually Probably by the end of the show I'm over it Like 930 or 10 I'm like hey I was watching fresh prints. But right now,
Starting point is 01:00:21 Chump Move, and more could come out, and I'd be like, well, I guess it wasn't as much of a chump move as I thought. But right now, I'm going with Chump Move.
Starting point is 01:00:29 I'm Team Chris Rock. Declare you what team you are. I'm Team Chris Rock. There you go. Lunchbox. Oh, it's definitely Chris Rock. I thought it was fake forever, but I can't believe
Starting point is 01:00:40 that he didn't punch him. If you're going to stick up for your loved one, punch him and send a message. Don't girl slap him. Ooh, I was not a girl slap. That's a man slap, but a slap by a man.
Starting point is 01:00:48 Right, that it has a huge, I mean... I would have... I would like, out of punch. No, no, no, no. But if you're gonna do that, you might as well just commit and knock them down. I would never know there's a difference between slapping and punching.
Starting point is 01:01:00 Y'all are the first to bring this product out. Oh, a punch would have knocked them out. Slap? I mean, I know the difference. But I didn't know we would break this down and that it was like more manly to punch. Oh. You don't...
Starting point is 01:01:11 You just heard them worse. That's not manly. I think a woman can punch too. Okay. But open? Close. No, I mean, I get it. Do it.
Starting point is 01:01:18 Do it to yourself. See, which one of her first? No, I'm good. So did Jada tell him, hey, go do something? Because he did live like you said. She just kind of gave him a look. And then I didn't even know, because it was bleeped out. A lot of it was bleeped out until you watch like the Australian and Japanese versions.
Starting point is 01:01:32 And then you hear the people, especially in Japan, translating, but you also hear what Will is really saying. And he's saying the F word. That's when I knew that it was probably real, real, because you don't yell the F word on a network TV show like that if you don't mean it. Yeah. And then, do they have something else going on? like prior confrontation or beef, I don't know a better word. That I don't know about. I mean, he made a joke about Jada back in 2016, I guess.
Starting point is 01:01:56 He's been holding on to it. I guess so. I mean, and I think Will's just a little sensitive because of the whole marriage thing. I don't know. Will's got something happening in his life that had it right at the edge anyway. And somebody was going to get that slap that night. It just happened to be Chris Rock. That's my theory.
Starting point is 01:02:11 And my theories are only wrong about 73% of the time. It's a good record. All right. Thank you. calls if you got them cool but want to talk about that all for now filing your taxes
Starting point is 01:02:25 does not have to be difficult start for free at tax act dot com where you can get expert help with no appointment required your maximum refund is guaranteed go to tax act.com for guaranteed details tax act dot com
Starting point is 01:02:39 it's time for the good news with producer Eddie tell me something good John Buckland, he runs a charity in West Virginia, and it's called Heroes for Hire. And he dresses up like Batman and a bunch of other superheroes. And he goes to children's homes and schools and stuff like that to Brighton Kids Days. Well, he's decided to go to Poland. And him by himself as Batman.
Starting point is 01:03:03 Ukrainian. Yep, has traveled to Poland to receive some of the Ukrainian refugees. Wow. And he's even getting local people to be superwoman and Superman and all that. And so he's doing his thing over there. I love it. Holy crap. I did not expect that.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Yeah, pretty cool. That's a great story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Let's go over and talk to Mike, who lives in Florida. Mike, you're on the show. What's going on? What's up, buddy?
Starting point is 01:03:30 Hey, man. I agree with Will Smith. I think somewhere along the line, men forgot that they were men, and it's your job to protect your wife. He wasn't threatening her. He wasn't threatening her. I mean, Chris Rock makes fun of celebrities. constantly. It was a joke. She's a celebrity. He may not have known she had a condition.
Starting point is 01:03:52 Like, this isn't caveman days. He also wasn't insulting her openly. This is not, I need to protect my woman because someone is saying bad things about her to her face. This is a comedian who gets paid to tell jokes making a joke in a situation where jokes are called for. And he made one about a lot of people, not just her. So it's not the same thing as what you're making it where men have to be men. That's just not the same thing. To the hospital with her. He sees what's going on with her.
Starting point is 01:04:23 He's probably dealing with her mentally knowing that she's a woman losing all of her hair. So he sees her struggles. And then when she gave him that look, if you look at her, she gave him a look that she was hurt. I hear your point, but the point of the whole thing is, I don't think Chris Rock makes that joke if he knows that. So if we're both assuming things, which you're assuming things here too, I don't think he makes that joke if he knows that she is in pain because of that, either emotionally or physically.
Starting point is 01:04:53 But you're going to hit a guy for doing his job when you could have, listen, the most humiliating thing would have been to take a microphone and explain why that joke sucked. That would have heard him way more. And it had been like, wow, I didn't know that. I apologize. No, I don't think you're right. I think this is 1961 talking on the phone right now. Don't hit me, though.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Don't find me. 250 pounds. My wife's five foot tall. I don't care if we're in the middle of church. I'm going to protect my wife. She wasn't being threatened. But look at it. When y'all said something about the reason between a punch and a smack,
Starting point is 01:05:32 he sent a message with a smack. That Chris Rock wasn't even man enough to deserve a punch. It's more embarrassing to smack a man and watch the mother man not do nothing back about it. I mean, I hear you. And I think back again, in the Roman Gladiator days, you'd have been wildly successful. But today, that ain't it. And also, this was his job to make jokes about celebrities.
Starting point is 01:05:58 He wasn't up there insulting anyone purposefully. Right, but you got freedom of speech. But you got freedom of what consequence thought it comes with that speech. Well, I don't think you know what freedom of speech is, sir. I think you have no idea what freedom of speech is. It only means you can speak against the government without going to jail. That's all freedom of speeches. So don't go using that if you don't even know what it means. Oh, he's on his way. I know. He's set it over. And that's okay. He keeps telling me how tall and
Starting point is 01:06:30 how big he is and I don't want to see him in person. But my only point is he's going to punch you. No, he's going to slap him. There's a slap. He's sending a message. I hope he slaps me and doesn't punch me. And I wouldn't stay up. I would fall to the ground. Wait, but also what is his name, the caller? Or, um, Mike. Mike, okay, but also would your wife, like, say she was at church and someone just said something rude to her at church? Like, she wasn't physically assaulted, which that, I think, would justify you stepping in and, like, using your hands in some way. But, like, say they just said something rude to her. What if it was not meant to be rude?
Starting point is 01:07:06 Right. It wasn't meant to be rude. But from the pulpit, the pastor just makes some joke. And he's like, oh, shoot, you would go up and slap the pastor? Well, see, I'm different. You know, I've played high school football. college football all through my life, I've always been a big guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:22 So in that situation, I probably wouldn't have to say nothing. It would probably be like my kids. All I have to do is give them that look like, you just... Oh, I'll drop it. Drop the call. Now it's like Will Smith. That is exactly like Will Smith last night. Freedom of speech, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:07:35 Yeah. There's something for everyone on Discovery Plus. The streaming home for armchair detectives, nature fans, and anyone who loves 90-day fiancé. Stream true crime. relationships, and so much more, for as low as $499. Discovery Plus, start your free trial. Terms apply. We just had our Oscars moment there.
Starting point is 01:07:58 Yeah, sure did. When someone starts going, well, I played high school football. Well, I think he was saying he's just always been intimidating, so he wouldn't even have to hit anybody. Well, I played high school football. I'm not intimidating. And if they go, well, I played high school football and then college, that meant you played high school and you tried in college. You didn't get to play that much. Or you lead with I played in college. Yeah, good point.
Starting point is 01:08:17 Well, that is what it is. However, we have 17 security guys out front now making sure Mike doesn't drive up here and beat me up. All right, let's go over and do the news. Bobby's Big. Stories. What have I been saying about humans and our lifespans? That we're just missing that point where we could live for a long time. Like we right now are going to die at 70, 80, 90 for the most part.
Starting point is 01:08:44 The average is 78 and a half years. Well, humans could live until the ripe old age of 150. Oh, my gosh. According to recent research. Which humans? That's so old. The ones born when? Well, a little after us because...
Starting point is 01:08:58 So like my kids? They've started to figure out some of this. They do biohacking, and they're looking to crack the DNA code on aging. And they're like, we have the numbers to the DNA. And there are scratches in it, and we've almost got the polish, is kind of the comparison they're making. Wow. One of these guys, who is a billionaire, claims he will live until 175 or 180. Wow.
Starting point is 01:09:20 Because he got in on it early and is doing all of this stuff. Some super expensive, some free. But he's like, we can do it, and we're almost there. Well, I'm going to Google the free stuff. But you also have to remember before us, people lived until 25, 30, like caveman days. You know, and then 50 and 60. So we've slowly, between science and genetics, figured out how to live longer, and we're only moments away.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Well, they can cut off our heads and save us in a bucket, and then we stay alive after our body dies. We're just heads. But then you go on a new fate body. We're just going to miss that by 100 years or so. I'm telling you. So that's the first one. The second one, Lady Gaga's dog walker gave graphic testimony
Starting point is 01:10:04 in the case of the dognappers who attacked and shot him. Remember that? Yeah. He says he's still struggling medically. Ryan Fisher. said three men attacked him while he walked Gagas three dogs. According to the transcript, he was thrown to the concrete as one of the attackers began choking him,
Starting point is 01:10:22 and he hit the guy with a bottle of champagne that he had just bought at the liquor store, and then he was shot in the chest, but he talked about that. He said, I tried to call for help, but I realized my lung was bleeding, and I was losing more and more air quickly. Five people have been charged with attempted murder and robbery. They have pled not guilty.
Starting point is 01:10:40 Three of the men are alleged gang. members who were driving around Hollywood specifically looking for French bulldogs. But his lung clabs, he was rushed to the hospital, breathing issues, etc. But this guy is so lucky to be alive. And the fact that people would try to kill you for those dogs.
Starting point is 01:10:55 Right. I didn't realize it was that bad. Like he got... Yeah, when shot in the chest, that's tough. That is from TMZ. Hypersomnia is a little known condition that causes someone to feel excessively sleepy during the day. No matter how much they've sleep, this woman, she's 23, she has it.
Starting point is 01:11:11 and so she has to nap for four hours every day. Wow. But I feel like lunchbox does that. Oh, I was going to say, I think I have this, hypersomnia. Yes. Wow. There's no cure for the condition. It can be managed with medication, or you can do like lunchbox does, and just sleep every day.
Starting point is 01:11:26 That's crazy. I would not want that. And you guys made fun of me for all this years. I have a medical condition. She has lived with hypersomnia since 12. She had to miss school and social events. She falls asleep during exams. She's part of a sleep study, but doctors don't know what's causing her condition.
Starting point is 01:11:41 there is no cure. That's hard. It's from the sun. What advice would you give lunchbox? Oh, he fell asleep. Oh, oh, no. Lunchbox, wait. What's up, man?
Starting point is 01:11:48 What about hypersomnia, dude? What's up, man? That's how he wakes up. Finally, Taylor Hawkins, the drummer for the foo fighters, died over the weekend. He had ten substances in his system when he died. There were a few immediate details on how he died, although the band said his death was tragic and untimely. Colombian authorities on Saturday said that he had ten substances in his system.
Starting point is 01:12:11 system when he was found dead in I think it's Bagata? Bogota. Only from Narcos. Colombia, Bogota, Columbia. You guys watch the dog. Ecuador. Lima, Peru. The office did not rule on the cause of death and said the investigation is ongoing.
Starting point is 01:12:25 Well, if they release that statement, though, then they go, we don't have the cause of death. They just... They just gave it up. Yeah, kind of. So that's from NBC News. Very sad. I'm a massive Phoo Fighter fan. I've probably seen them 12 times in concert.
Starting point is 01:12:39 That's just really sad. They said his heart weighed double what a normal human heart weighs. And I don't know why they weighed it, first of all. I think they weigh organs. They just, they do. During the autopsy, I don't know. Yeah, I don't. That's my guess.
Starting point is 01:12:52 I've never been a part of one. And secondly, I don't know if it's because of, if it's related to the 10 substances or if maybe you had a heart issue. I don't know. Either way, it stinks. It's sad. And that is the news. Those were Bobby's big.
Starting point is 01:13:08 Stories. There's a couple different elements to the story. Someone just sold $420,000 in Pokemon cards, except it was just one card. It was a Charazard card? That's how you say it? Yep. I've been hanging out on Mike too much.
Starting point is 01:13:24 Charzard. Yeah. The rare 1999 card sold for almost half a million dollars. And that story comes from CNN. I just can't believe it. I don't know enough about it. That's why I can't believe it. but if you would have said a Hunness Wagner baseball card,
Starting point is 01:13:41 I would go, oh, that one makes sense. But Pokemon, to me, no knowledge in that area. But that being said, Eddie could have had this, this could have happened with your son. Yeah, who knows, right? So listen to the story. Go ahead. So my son takes his Pokemon cards at church.
Starting point is 01:13:56 And he finds this kid in Sunday school, and the kid says, ooh, I'll trade you what you have for the one. I mean, I have a great one at home. I'll bring it next week. So my son's like, oh, he's seven. Sure, here's the card. Take it.
Starting point is 01:14:08 Do you know what kind of card that your son had? I mean, that Charzard sounded real familiar. So I don't know. So my son gives him the card. He says, all right, see you next week. We haven't seen the kid in three weeks. You haven't even seen the kid. No, no, this has been like two months.
Starting point is 01:14:22 So I mean, at this point I'm like, listen, son, this is a lesson right here. Do not trade cards unless you can actually get it right then in there. Well, he's seen the kid since. So two weeks ago, he saw the kid for the first time. So my times are messed up. I'm so months, three weeks, and then last week. Well, the first trade happened like two months ago. Got it.
Starting point is 01:14:40 So two weeks ago, the kid finally shows up to church. So he says, hey, I've been waiting for you to come to church. Where's my card? It's at home. I'll give it to you next week. So now we are at a week to week. Every week he sees him, he's like, I forgot it. I'll get it to you next week.
Starting point is 01:14:53 So I think this card's gone. So what's the question that you have? I mean, to me, it's like, I feel like I have to, I don't know. Part of me is like, should I take matters into my own hands and find the parents and be like, hey, my son made a trade with your son. your son's backing out on this trade, we got to get this card. Or do I just let it be and have it be a life lesson for my son?
Starting point is 01:15:13 Can it not be a life lesson already, but then you go talk to the parents now? I mean, I really don't want to talk to the parents. Like that real talk? Like, I don't want to go to them and bring up a whole trade card situation. Well, but they might need to be put in the mix. Like, maybe they don't know
Starting point is 01:15:28 and their son needs to learn a lesson that if you make a trade, like you need to give your half of the deal. Like maybe they don't, and this is a learning operation. opportunity for the son. And also for you. Listen. Why am I even in there? Like, you know, I don't, this is their problem. I don't even want to
Starting point is 01:15:42 get involved. But it's your problem, too. Oh, yeah. Are you sad? If it's a Charzard, it's my problem, right? Are you sad for your son? Yeah, a little bit, because he was kind-hearted about it and was like, oh, I trust you for sure. Dude, it's been two months. Where's the dang card? Why don't you want to say anything to the parent? Because I just don't want. I mean, I'm unconfrontational. I don't want to go up there and be like, and what are the
Starting point is 01:16:02 parents are just like him? Be like, all right, we'll get it next week. And here we are. two months from now, they're like, oh, next week we'll get you, Eddie. Then you have to call me in it. Then what are you going to do? Well, Amy, what would you advise Eddie? Oh, I think that it's totally okay in a really nice way, not awkward to go. I mean, if I, mom to mom, I would go to the mom. I've had that where my daughter ended up with something else that belonged to another kid
Starting point is 01:16:24 and she kept forgetting it. Like, she meant to take it back. This actually was at church too. In like three weeks, she went to youth group and kept forgetting the item. Finally, it's awkward. The mom texts me. I was like, hey, I hate to be this way, but this is like causing some anxiety in our house. Like, it's a thing.
Starting point is 01:16:38 Like, we need it back. And I was like, ugh. So then I, we drove out and dropped it off at their porch to avoid, like, for getting it at youth group next time. So, and I respected the mom for doing that. She was just looking out for her kid. Sure, I needed to teach my daughter a lesson. But now we know, like, hey, let's return things. If you borrow it, return it.
Starting point is 01:16:57 Do you know the guy's email, parents email? No, I don't even know the parents. I've never even met the kid. Did they play high school football? Because if the guy played high school football, maybe a little bit in college. Yeah, I didn't know these parents. To be fair, don't know this family. Like, so I just think that it's okay to look out for your kids in a non-confrontational way.
Starting point is 01:17:14 I feel like it's so easy just to be like, hey, bud, it's a loss. It is easy, but is parenting supposed to be easy. No, and it really isn't. It never is. I think what I would do is I also would not like the confrontation because no one really does. I don't mind confrontation. What am I saying? But I understand your situation.
Starting point is 01:17:30 I don't like it. Yeah. I think you could find a way to contact them like through text or email which eliminates some of the confrontation. It says, hey, this happened. Is there any way that either you could bring that card back or give me the one he traded for? Okay. I think that's probably the mature way to do it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:17:47 Like I said, the first transaction happened two months ago. How much more time should I give it? It's time. No. Like maybe a couple more weeks? No. Three weeks? Now he's putting it off.
Starting point is 01:17:55 Then don't do it. Just tell your son. It's okay. Don't man up. When I was a kid, I lost a big poker game to my uncle. because I always taught to gamble early. Oh, yeah. I lost a big poker game.
Starting point is 01:18:03 I lost my Cubs hat. I lost like $19. I lost a pair of shoes. And he kept him. He kept him. Your uncle, dude? Yeah. And he loved me, but he kept him.
Starting point is 01:18:13 And he said, if you gamble and you lose, you don't get your money back. And I remember that lesson today because of that. It was a great, it hurt then. It was a great learning lesson. I think either way, your son needs to reap some sort of lifetime reward from his mess up. Yeah. But I also think you can step in if you want to be the mature parent.
Starting point is 01:18:35 Let me think about it. You're not going to. Take a couple hours. This segment's over. You're done. You're never doing it. But I'll check back in in a week. All right.
Starting point is 01:18:41 Okay. Jason Aldeen, girl like you, Bobby Boneshow. You guys can hit us up about that too if you'd like. 877 Bobby. I mean, just his Pokemon card, Eddie, you got to go get it. You got to get the card. I'll think about it. Okay.
Starting point is 01:18:57 Amy told me I should hold off on my analogy. Oh, that was good. I mean, it's up to you. Eddie seems to think it's okay. Well, that's not good. You're not going to gauge it on that. Arkansas lost on Saturday. Duke's really good.
Starting point is 01:19:08 And we had a great season. And that's it. It was tough. What was really tough is that, obviously, like, top three things in my life. Just love Arkansas sports. And so it's tough, but we had a better season than anyone expected. And yada yada. Next weekend was the final four.
Starting point is 01:19:26 And my birthday is on the same day. And I was like, is there a chance? just one thing in the world happens to line up right for me. Yeah. That I don't have to work for and grind my face off to get. I was like, is there a chance? One thing in this whole lifetime, just do, do, do, do. And it didn't.
Starting point is 01:19:41 So here we are. It was tough. But we'll bounce back. We'll get them next year. But it's tough. I still feel it. So you had been leaving your birthday open to do that. What are you going to do now?
Starting point is 01:19:52 Who cares, right? Yeah, I don't even want to have a birthday. Birthdays are stupid. I don't care. Wait, just in general, you feel this way? because of the loss. The loss. I hate it.
Starting point is 01:20:03 I know. I mean, it, yes. The analogy I made, no, I can't do it. Come on. But I told Caitlin, and she was like, what's wrong with you?
Starting point is 01:20:12 Why would you make that analogy? I would feel this passionate about it. I get it. It's a little morbid. Pop culture quiz, Amy, let's see what she kept up with during the weekend. Okay.
Starting point is 01:20:22 What movie won best picture last night at the Oscars? Uh, the Apple. plus one because it's the first time at Apple it's everyone shocked because Apple plus made a movie that won. You're all on the right track but you don't know the movie.
Starting point is 01:20:37 Medew. Incor. Coda! Cota's correct. I don't know how she does it. I don't know how she does that like well. Because it was in there somewhere. Mike I didn't see Cota but I know you watched every one of these movies. Is it good? Really good. I think you should check it out. Well, I like it? Yes, you will. We started watching Bad Vegan. We watched two episodes.
Starting point is 01:20:57 What did you think? Are you done with it? Yeah. You're done with it? Yeah. It's crazy. Yeah. I don't want to say anything because I don't want spoiler for listeners, but it's about
Starting point is 01:21:03 another, from what I know, and I'm not done with it. It's about another con artist. But... I don't know. But it's about,
Starting point is 01:21:11 I don't even say anything. Because you're not done. But it feels like another, you know, there's Tender Swindler, there's the girl who stole the money. Anadeli or whatever. It feels like that,
Starting point is 01:21:19 but I don't know. But we watched that. And then I watched the Adam Project with Ryan Reynolds. Yeah. What do you think? Pretty good. Yeah, me too.
Starting point is 01:21:27 Pretty good. I like it. Three out of five stars. I think I got bit, though. By? The hype monster. I think I would have liked it a little more if hype monster didn't exist. But I got bit pretty hard.
Starting point is 01:21:39 And I was like, yeah, I enjoyed it. I love time travel. And it's in this. I love end of the world. I love time travel. And if I could go back in time, I'd go back to the Arkansas game. Oh. Yes.
Starting point is 01:21:51 Change some things? What could you have done to make a different? Hold the fire alarm. Hold the game off for another day. How much did you lose by? Nine? Oh, that hurts. Oh, don't act like now you're hurt by it.
Starting point is 01:22:02 How about just my soul hurts? You're hurt by it. Amy, name one team in the final four except for Duke. Oh, dang it. We just talked about Duke. Then I'll go with Kansas. That's correct. Good job, Amy.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Also, Villanova and the University of North Carolina. I had no idea about those two. Name one of the hosts of the Oscars last night. Amy Schumer. That's correct. Yes. Regina Hall and Wanda Sykes were also the host. Oh.
Starting point is 01:22:27 What show is number one right now on Netflix after its debut on Friday? Oh, oh, Bridgerton. That's correct. Good for you. One more. Is this the first time I've ever gotten them all? Well, you can need one more. We gave a quota, right? Yes. What celebrity revealed that their boyfriend got a,
Starting point is 01:22:45 My Girl as a Lawyer tattoo? What celebrity revealed that their boyfriend got a tattoo that said, My Girl is a Lawyer? Well, is it, does Kim Kardashian have a boyfriend? Because she's a lawyer, and she has those shirts that's like Kim Kay's my lawyer. Who's Kim Kardashian's boyfriend? I don't know. Oh, oh, oh, Pete Davidson.
Starting point is 01:23:06 That's right. Oh, my goodness. Sorry, I just picture her and Kanye. I'm going to give that to you. That's correct, yeah. Because Kanye and Kim, they were at their kids soccer game together over the weekend, and they looked like happy, and I almost, I just forgot for a minute she was with Pete. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:23:20 How do you forget? It's every thing on my Instagram. Like, E, you know, TMZ. Wow. I went all for all. You did. I don't know how many questions. or were. Five, who cares.
Starting point is 01:23:29 How was your weekend good? Five for five. It was good. Yeah. What about you? Well, I just told you. But other than the game? Well, that's all.
Starting point is 01:23:38 You didn't do anything else. We went to dinner on Friday night. And how was that? It was great. We had a good night. But then she knew on Saturday, she was, listen, because you just, all Saturday you do whatever you want, because I know the only thing you're thinking about is that game.
Starting point is 01:23:50 She's like, I don't care what you do. You can go play PlayStation all day. You can, it doesn't matter because I know you're only going to be focused on the game. So that's all I did. I watched games. There's only two. But I played PlayStation, but I was just nervous the whole day.
Starting point is 01:24:03 I knew I had to perform that night. You did not have to perform. I feel like it. That's why I'm building. Yeah. So, and then we lost. So it is what it is.
Starting point is 01:24:12 And then yesterday we had a good day. But I'm still a little. Here's the analogy I made. Come on. Come on. Come on. Okay. I may all do in the post show.
Starting point is 01:24:20 Fine. Yeah. It's, that's content for the post show. Yeah. We do a podcast after the show on the same fee. Just search for the Bobby Bone show. It's a little bit more risque.
Starting point is 01:24:29 It's not risky. It's not a bad. It's just somebody dying. All right. Morgan Wallin. Sandy my boots. Yeah, every human dies. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:38 Lobby bone show. Bonehead. Story of the day. This story comes us from England. A woman was so excited she got the email notification that her Herm's bag had been delivered. Hermes. Say again? Hermes.
Starting point is 01:24:53 Hermes. Hermes? Yeah. The age is silent. Hermaze. Okay. Hermes. Herme's.
Starting point is 01:24:57 Maze bag was delivered. Super fancy. Yes. And so she was so excited. She saw it on her little camera at her front door. Boom. Well, 13 minutes later, she gets another notification on her camera. Same delivery guy.
Starting point is 01:25:09 Came back and stole it. He delivered it. Marked it as, you know, scanned it as delivered. And then 13 minutes later, he showed back up and stole it. I wonder if he was still in his outfit. Still in the outfit, everything. Same clothes, same everything. I guess people won't question you if you're in your clothes.
Starting point is 01:25:24 Right. Yeah. And he must have known. was coming from Hermes. Hermes. Yeah, yeah. He might, right? Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:32 He's a delivery driver for that company. You would think people, Apple, expensive name brand, would have some sort of fake sort of address that it comes from so people wouldn't know. Right, or I would assume that type of package where a bag like that can run anywhere from $10,000 to $100,000 or more, would it require a signature? I never get signature stuff anymore Oh really? Zero Oh I
Starting point is 01:25:59 Ordered a Kindle the other day What's that? You read books on it Oh Kindle, yes And I was like well they're not going to give it to me Until I did it just dropped off the front door I don't do signatures anymore And why I guess yeah he had to scan it and drop it off
Starting point is 01:26:14 But what happened in that 13 minutes Think he was contemplating No I think he did it so it made it look like he delivered it And then somebody else came to get it It's kind of smart actually I think he Except he didn't change clothes He finished his little route and then just got it on the way out.
Starting point is 01:26:27 Yeah. Maybe he called a friend and was like, I just dropped this Erms bag off and they're like, go back and get it. What'd you call it lunchbox? Erms. Hermes. I wouldn't know either had we not done a bunch of stories on it on the show. All right, there you go. I'm Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:26:42 That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. All right, let's count down the good news. It's the good news countdown. Counting down the biggest good news stories across the land. Let's start with number three. Number three. So Jeff Bezos and his ex-wife, McKenzie Scott, they had a divorce, and she got a lot of money.
Starting point is 01:27:04 She said, well, with all this money, I'm going to donate almost all of it. Well, she has announced another $4 billion in donations, including $281 million to the Boys and Girls Club, $436 million for Habitat for Humanity, and now she's donated over $12 billion since 2019. It's so cool. Bezos wanted me give a dollar at the Petco.
Starting point is 01:27:24 He's like, no, I would not. Dang, that's a lot of money giving away. Good for her. And, well, I saw that she's going to stop announcing her donations and she's leaving it up to the organizations. Like, she's just making donations now quietly. And if the organization so choose, they can say, we got this donation from her.
Starting point is 01:27:44 So she's not out bragging about it. And they will. Of course they will. And I don't think it's a brag. Well, and who else did this $400 million come from? Yeah, right? They're all whistling. We will never tell.
Starting point is 01:27:57 Number two. A bus driver in Ohio had a medical emergency last Thursday, and a fifth grader saved the day. He realized what was happening. He got behind the wheel. He applied the brakes on the bus, and then slowly pulled it over and just barely missed a streetlight
Starting point is 01:28:14 that the bus driver was kind of on path to hit. But a fifth grader hopped in and saved everybody on the bus, including the bus driver. A fifth grader, so that would be... 11? Like 10, 11? Yeah, 11 year old?
Starting point is 01:28:27 Dang. Number one! During a basketball game at Zeeland East High School in Zeeland, Michigan, the crowd got extremely quiet, giving high school junior Jules an opportunity to take a shot. Jules, who was blind, stood there with the ball, everybody got silent, and then someone got behind the backboard and was tapping the backboard with a stick so she could hear it. Again, everybody had to be super quiet. She made the shot.
Starting point is 01:28:53 Here's that moment. Pretty awesome. That's cool. All right. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Have a great day. Bye, everybody. Get your Bobby bones on. All right.
