Starting point is 00:02:50 All right. The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. What'd you do last night, Amy? just was at the house What do you do? Well Stasheera had ballet So went to pick her up from that What's entry level ballet like? I gotta be honest with I don't know nothing about like
Starting point is 00:03:07 We didn't do that where I came from I'd be honest with you When I showed up they were doing cartwheels So that doesn't seem ballet to me Seems more like gymnastics But maybe it was an end-of-class activity And shoot They were just doing cartwheels all the way across the floor
Starting point is 00:03:22 And then back I mean but she's learned like I don't know the positions but like first, second, where you point your toes out and she'll come home and go over stuff. But last night when I picked her up, they were definitely doing carwheels. And the class ends at 6.30. Maybe it was dancer choice.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Yeah, maybe. Freestyle. So that's what you did last night? Yeah, and then, yeah, we had dinner, hung out. Did you watch anything at TV? Yes. My husband and I started a new show before bed on Amazon with your girl, Kate Beckinsale. Not my girl.
Starting point is 00:03:50 Pete Davidson's girl. Technically Pete's, but like in your dreams. I know. You've always had a thing for Kay Beck and sell And yeah the whole time I'm watching her I like either think of you or Pete Davidson And I'm like And that's what I mean she's back in the news
Starting point is 00:04:03 Because of the show? Because of dating Pete Davidson Oh okay But also she has a show out But I'm saying that's why people think of her now Because she's back on freaking front of TMZ Yeah because she's like 45 And he's 23
Starting point is 00:04:17 23 something So it's called the widow You like it? Well we're only one episode in We had to turn it off because it was just, we started it too late. We got in bed late. And then it was like, okay, we're watching one episode.
Starting point is 00:04:29 And I feel like, I mean, I was multitasking, so I was on my computer working on some stuff. But I feel, so then I was annoying to my husband because I kept having to ask them questions. Like, wait, what does happen? But I think it's going to be good. We'll watch a little bit more this weekend. What about you?
Starting point is 00:04:43 I went to, um, what's it, true food kitchen? Yes. That's where I went to have. And it's pretty healthy. Yeah, it's so good. Yeah, and it's good. And I have a friend that runs the Ryman. and I have about four people in my life
Starting point is 00:04:56 what's it called? What are you mouthing? I don't know if you were with the Ryman or the Opry. Same. Same. Oh, same. Yeah. Cool.
Starting point is 00:05:03 And so, I forgot my point. Your mouthings. You were saying it's healthy. Oh, yeah, four people in your life. Four people that I work with and I'm also friends with that I try to make time and have dinner where it's not about work at all. And she's one of them. And so we went and had dinner for like two hours last night and just talked.
Starting point is 00:05:21 I do it yeah there are four I was counting last night I actually set aside time and go I have to put it on my calendar because if I don't it'll just go away it'll just fall away from me and another two months is gone
Starting point is 00:05:34 I haven't seen anybody so yeah it was good it was long dinner but it was good There is something about them too that just makes you want to be really good friends with them Who? Her and her husband Oh yeah her husband's my agent
Starting point is 00:05:44 My booking agent for the band Oh wow Good people yeah And so did that It was late So I didn't get to watch anything I watched The Office, like three episodes. The usual.
Starting point is 00:05:54 I'm up season seven again. Oh, that might be where I am. But for the first time, right? Your first time all the way through. Yeah, it's my first time. And I'm going to get to go. I'm going to keep it on. Like, I'll get to loop it again.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I'm sure I'll see season one soon. Because I just kind of have it like you continuously running. So I know there's things I'm missing. But it's so funny. You do like it. Yeah, the episode, I watched some while I was actually getting ready this morning. The Office was getting dressed up for Halloween. and then Pam and Jim, they're married now,
Starting point is 00:06:24 but this guy comes to work for the company that took her out on two dates. And they're so awkward. And they like, why'd you, why'd you not go out with her again? And he was like, because she was dorky. Yes. And he was like, how'd you think she was dorky? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:35 Yeah. It's just so awkward. It's just so awkward. That show was ahead of its time because that was my favorite show when it was on. It was nobody else's favorite show. I was like, how are people not liking this show? Yeah. And here I am.
Starting point is 00:06:46 No, now it's like, that's pretty normal because all, you know, modern family. You know, a lot of these shows have kind of made that palatable for the main. But it's so awkward. I think it was too awkward back then. You want to see awkward? Watch the British version. Woo!
Starting point is 00:07:00 I have to put that on subtitles, though, because I don't get some of the references they're saying because it's so British. So I need to make sure I don't understand it. Because I'll mention, like, a location. Normally I wouldn't even know what I meant, but I'll be like, oh, that's just a location. That's Ricky Jervase, right? Yeah. And so, Morgan number two, what did you do last night? I, oh.
Starting point is 00:07:18 Watch Idol? Yes, I watched Idol. then I had a big kind of life moment happen. I don't think I can share it yet, though. You know about it. We talked about it at dinner. Oh, she got married. Oh, wow. Good for you. Oh, did you do it? Oh, did you do it? Final steps are happening. Hey, one day, you'll guys will know. Okay, can't wait. And then when the baby's here, you'll be like, yay. We'll find out nine months. Eddie, what did you do last night? Oh, man, last night, I do, oh, I did something crazy. I renewed my YMCA membership. Yeah? Yeah. Yeah,
Starting point is 00:07:50 We canceled it. It was part of our debt like stuff. Like we got to cut the fat out of like we're going to, we're going to pay off our debt. So we got to cut the stuff we don't use very much. And the Y was one that we're like, let's be real. We don't really go to the Y that often. We cut it. But we realize with the cold weather, we need to get the kids out.
Starting point is 00:08:07 Like we have to go and do something active. And they have a gym and all that. So we renewed it, got a good deal on it. And we're back. Yeah. We took over that gym. And it was scary because I had the little ones playing basketball. But then, you know, about.
Starting point is 00:08:20 four o'clock all the old people, like the older basketball players, like people that ball come out. And I mean, my kids almost got run over by like some of these places. Yeah, kids got to get off the court. Yeah. Lunchbox just left. He's sick. So that's why he's not in here right now. Well, cool. We're good. Anything else? No. We were talking about wine this morning. You know, the story was, and you'll hear it later on on the show where parents drink less when they have kids and Amy argued with that a little bit. But here's the story that I have, I was going to read it later on in the show, but I didn't get to it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Beer and wine, you'll feel fine. Like, in that order, beer, then wine. Oh, yeah. We know the rest of that. Beer before liquor, never sicker. Correct. Well, it's not true. Researchers put that test saying it doesn't matter which order you drink beer and wine in.
Starting point is 00:09:04 Mixing them will likely give you a hangover the next day. It's not about the hangover. It's about vomiting. It's about vomiting. Oh, it is? Yes. It's about getting sick. That's why sicker is in there.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Liquor before beer in the clear. Beer before liquor? It's not a hangover? No. So, okay, let me ask you this. This is great because you don't drink, so I feel like an expert is something that you don't know. I mean, I'm not an expert. Let me say this too, because I was getting criticized by some people who say that I don't drink.
Starting point is 00:09:30 Let me tell you why I don't drink. My family all drank and died of it. I'm not too good for it. I wish I could drink. And people would be like, oh, why didn't drink? Why would anyone judge you on that? I don't know. That's a good thing that you don't drink.
Starting point is 00:09:39 I don't feel like I need to go back through that every time. But right, I don't drink, so I don't understand how this stuff makes you feel. And when I see people so hungover, or I see the memes about, being so hungover. I go, is it that much better, like, plus to minus ratio to be drunk and have that much fun than to feel miserable the next day? Does it go back to even? Is it worse?
Starting point is 00:09:59 Like, what's that plus minus? Amy? I don't know. I don't. If you get a hangover, do you wish you hadn't drank? Yeah, or I'm like, why did I have too much? I don't drink with the goal of, like, I mean, at this point in my life, it's not like drinking to just get hammered.
Starting point is 00:10:16 So I guess if I do, I look at like, what did I drink? What brand was it? Is it off? Like, was it worth it? I don't know, Bobby. It's been a while. It's never worth it. It's not worth it?
Starting point is 00:10:26 No. Like, the hangover is terrible. It's like, it's almost like you just want to get sick. Oh, I have an example of it not being terrible. You don't think about while you're drinking. You're like, oh, yeah, I can't wait for tomorrow. But the next day you're like, I'm never drinking again. And then come up Friday again, you do it all over.
Starting point is 00:10:43 Okay. Well, then what's the plus? Like, if the plus is a, seven, like, fine, it goes up to the seven meter. What's the minus on the miserable meter? I don't understand. Yeah. I don't understand your meter.
Starting point is 00:10:55 But I have an example of where it can be okay. Do you get it, Morgan, number two? No, I'm confused. Okay. I want to answer your meter question. I just don't get it. How would I say this? Okay.
Starting point is 00:11:06 If the enjoyment is a seven, like you get up to a seven being drunk. The drinking. Right, it's like that much fun. Yes. Like the drunkenness. Let's go higher. Let's go eight. Like you have that much fun.
Starting point is 00:11:16 then it gets up to an eight. The night's at eight because you got drunk. Yep. Then what's the miserable the next day on the scale of just being miserable on the other side? Oh, eight. Okay, I got it. Eight is fun. So much fun.
Starting point is 00:11:27 The miserable is at 10. It's more? It's more. The miserable hurts. Then why would you do it if it's more? Like, if it's a 10 on that side, why would you go do it for the eight? No one ever wants to drink the day that they're hung over. It's four days later when they're literally people say it the day they're hungover.
Starting point is 00:11:40 That minute, they're like, I'm never drinking again. I'm sure everyone says that. Come Friday, you don't even remember saying. that. Your thoughts, Morgan, number two? I'm totally with Eddie. Like, I always love it in the moment. It's great. I'm a 10. Go home. Don't feel great the next day.
Starting point is 00:11:56 I'm a 10 in my hangover, and it's, I'm never drinking again. It's even. I get it. If it's even, you have as much fun as you do misery, then I'm like, oh, the plus minus is even out, and I get it. But if the misery is more than the fun, like, I wouldn't do it. The misery is more than the fun. I think probably for you, I have noticed,
Starting point is 00:12:16 When I was in college, my hangovers weren't as bad. As I've gotten older, my hangovers have gotten worse. And at my old age of 39 bones, like, it's really not worth the hangover. Like, it's really not. Not even if it's like a crazy fun night. No. And it's your body. And I do believe, truly believe it's your body saying like you're stupid.
Starting point is 00:12:35 Like your body's saying like you're dumb for doing that. But you also have two kids and a wife. Like you also could be 39 if you were single and like sleep and enjoy the day and hydrate and do whatever you want to try to feel better. When your kids come in your room and they're like, Dad, I mean, you. Ooh, there were times when we'd have Raging Idiot shows on Saturday night and we would get home Sunday morning. We'd catch the earliest flight ever.
Starting point is 00:12:56 And I wouldn't sleep. I'm like, I don't want to oversleep. So we would just go all night. I'd get home at like 10.30 a.m. And, I mean, the biggest headache. My stomach was turning. And the kids were like, yeah, Dad's home. Let's play.
Starting point is 00:13:09 And I hated life all Sunday long. and then I was like I don't know why you would drink Again, I'm such a practical person That I don't know why you would drink If you knew it was going to be worse If the bad was going to be worse than the good You would have
Starting point is 00:13:23 Because we're stubborn Now since I haven't been through all this Do I drink my age or I drink my drinking age Because my drinking age is probably It's 21 because I haven't a drink I'm like new to drinking Yeah, you're like a high school student What my body be though?
Starting point is 00:13:37 That's what I'm saying Your body's a high school student So like Two beers dude, you're trashed right now But what about the hangover? Yeah, same. Two, you think you'd have a hangover? Oh, for sure.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Me, now, like, four beers, I have a hangover. That was not me when I was in high school. 30 beers hangover. 30? Yeah. College, 30 beers guaranteed hangover. 12, 15, not so much. Morgan's drink of choices.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Morgan, I'm sorry, I remember this here. It was a... How do you know this from going out? From going out. Okay. It was vodka 7-up. Yeah. Vodka Sprite. If I have to drink a mixed drink, it's vodka spry.
Starting point is 00:14:16 It settles my stomach. Same thing is seven up. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Boom. Who remembers? You do. But you were sober.
Starting point is 00:14:24 You don't have an ounce of alcohol. But he still remembered, I guess. I know I'm not sober. I'm me. That's true. Because I don't get drunk, so I don't get sober. Gosh, we were talking the other day to me and Bobby. Just like, I feel bad for you because like many of times, me, our friends, we drink.
Starting point is 00:14:42 We would just drink, drink, drink at your house or wherever you were. And it's like, I'm sorry you had to deal with us because I don't drink that much anymore. Like I would say in the last like six months, I just don't drink a lot. And so when I'm around people that drink, they kind of annoy me. And I get it. You know, I was talking to Tricia. What about this on the Bobbycast we did yesterday? By the way, it's up, but you can hear it.
Starting point is 00:15:03 We were talking about that. She was like, well, what's it like to be around drunk? I said, it's the only thing I know. If I didn't go around drunk, I would never have been out on a weekend in my whole life. I didn't have friends because it Yeah It wasn't a bad thing
Starting point is 00:15:14 And actually when I was young I felt good Because I could actually take care And not take care Like pick them up But like drive them home Because Yeah
Starting point is 00:15:21 You were the best DD There wasn't Uber Yeah So you really weren't getting home Unless you had a designated driver Or you drove drunk Yeah So yeah
Starting point is 00:15:31 That was a good thing About that But I'm sorry For all those years Nah No need to be I mean One of the first times
Starting point is 00:15:36 Amy and I hung out She was drunk And she like Had to scratch up her leg She'd been in a wedding. I was in the, well, I wasn't even in the bridal party. I was in like the, it's like the next tier down to where you have a bridal party that sits on your front row.
Starting point is 00:15:49 Junior varsity. Junior varsity bridal party. I was in that. I can't forget. Oh, it's called a house party. And, yeah, I met up with Bobby. I mean, I think I was like 24. We were at, um.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Downtown. Yeah, I know the place. So what's a place like, it's called, it's like a secret place that you knock? That was the name of this place. Speakeasy. We were at the speakies. easy. And Amy had on like a
Starting point is 00:16:11 white, like a JV waft white dress and she had a big scratch going all the way up her leg. Did you fall? No, I walked by
Starting point is 00:16:18 and the trees downtown sometimes have gates around or like little metal fences around them on the walkway downtown in Austin and I walked by and it scraped me. Oh yeah, sure. I'm sure you didn't fall into the fence.
Starting point is 00:16:31 And it just got you. And it was, I mean, whatever, it was fine. She was trying to dance with like a bloody leg. I was thinking that was the first time that I'd been out with Morgan number two dancing like that.
Starting point is 00:16:42 And like straight just dancing, it had to be in years. Probably the last time was when we were on, we went out when I was 24. Yeah. When you fell on the fence. 14 years ago. Yeah. I don't know about that, but it was first time I long got. Do you have fun?
Starting point is 00:16:58 Yeah, yeah, that's fun. I get so drunk. Okay. Do you get your, do you drink Red Bull anymore? No. Because I used to be like, Bobby, to get a little Red Bull in a glass. But I just fake drink, you know? I wouldn't want people to.
Starting point is 00:17:10 Yeah. And so here's what I happened to when I was out a bit, is that I would be out and I met a lot of listeners. And so we got up on the top part of the stage and like, dudes would come up to me and go like, hey, dance with my girl. Because, like, they want to, like, I want to show off and be like, I'll give Bobby Bones to dance with you.
Starting point is 00:17:28 And, like, everybody was super nice, but, like, drunk dudes were being belligerent. And just kind of douche. They were drunk. Later the night we'd go. And so I was boxing yesterday. I was working out with Jared, who boxed in real life for a while.
Starting point is 00:17:39 and like fought and like has like fighting not just boxing but also like I don't know which one of the ones one of the taekwondo moved out one of those things yeah
Starting point is 00:17:46 Jiu Jitsu and I was like hey what do I do in the situation I said because I don't want to get beat up in a bar but I got to like take care of myself and I don't want to get into a fist
Starting point is 00:17:54 I don't want to sit there and try to throw fist at somebody I watch people fight and they miss and people fall down yeah you would totally be that guy and I was like what do I do so he showed me
Starting point is 00:18:03 he was like this is what you're in a bar wait wait wait show us on Mike D well I will but I won't hit him but he says He said, always keep a drink in your hand. Water or anything. Just always have a drink.
Starting point is 00:18:13 He said, especially for you because 90% of people are going to be nice to you. He said, but you've had issues, and especially drunk dudes, even if they're not to do that, but they'll try to show out and be like, let me go mess with body bones. Right. Maybe it's their buddies are trying to do. Right, right. He's like, keep a drink in your hand. So like my right hand, so I'm left-handed, I'd have a drink.
Starting point is 00:18:30 And I wish I had a cup. What do you have in your hand? I have a bottle of mucinex before I get sick. Yes, perfect. Open it up. So he said, hold a drink in your hand. If they come up to you like, my head. Mike D approaches.
Starting point is 00:18:39 Yeah. And he goes, as soon as they lift their hands up. Lift him on Mike D. Take the drink. Now, step by just a little bit because I'm going to hit you with this. Take the drink of whatever and throw it at them. Their face. And then immediately they go like this and then nail them.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Oh. He says, don't just throw at him. Oh. He said, so it's like, so it's like somebody comes up and you don't, don't, this. They just put your hands up. Like, you try, you talk. Throw. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, but hold up.
Starting point is 00:19:01 He wasn't threatening you. You just put his hands up. No. Yes, that's a threat. That's a threat. No, bones, you will go to jail. No, it's not high. But as soon as someone throws their hands up, it's like, what's up?
Starting point is 00:19:12 Like, their hands are up, you can go. You cannot punch someone if they go, what's up? You're going to do? You're going to wait? No, you say, what's up with you? No, you don't. If someone's threatening you, you don't sit and wait to be hit first. It's like if somebody breaks into your house?
Starting point is 00:19:26 Shoot, bones. I'm so scared that if that ever gets caught on the video, you're going to jail. Okay, so what? What do you mean? You want to go to jail? I don't care. You see those jail stories. That's not.
Starting point is 00:19:37 in real jail. I have people in real jail, like the pin. Yeah, you don't want to go in there. If I got in a munch shop for a fistfight. Okay, Johnny Cash. That would be great for my rep. You start doing a stand-of-comodies at prisons after that. But Eddie, also, I'm not going to get beat up or stabbed.
Starting point is 00:19:53 I've just had too many incidents. No, I get it. Where people are like start crap. Like lunchbox on our podcast yesterday, he was talking about how people storm the court and whatever, and it's like, I're one of those players, I'd punch everyone. You can't just punch people.
Starting point is 00:20:05 But if someone comes up to you and it's like, Yo, dude, they're talking belligerently, and you know they're not nice. And they lift their hands at you. Like, you either, he said you either run or you go forward or you go backward. You don't just stand there and be on your goals. He said, you can run, try to get out of there.
Starting point is 00:20:20 But he's like, if you have no other option, he said, always keep a drink in your hand. And as soon as they lift their hands, they're going to, even if they say they're going to punch you. Maybe we should just say that. Like they lift their fist to punch you. Take the drink, toss it at their face because what they do is they recoil
Starting point is 00:20:31 or it just goes in their eyes. Yeah, makes sense. And as soon as that, then you punch it, and then you go. Smart move. saying a fight. He knows me. I'll get beat up. He's like, one and out. He was like, don't fight. He's like, one, two, and get out. Oh, two. Combo. If you can.
Starting point is 00:20:42 If you can. He's like, one, two, and get out. Three, four, one, out. One, two, three, four, five. Kick, kick. Kick. Kek. D.T. What is DDT? Those are all moves. Put your head in the thing and the wrestling moves. Get out of the top rope and jump off of the elbow. Dude, so my,
Starting point is 00:20:58 I had a friend back when I lived in the Valley, and he would always say, just like you, he would always say that, guys, like, if you ever get into a fight, pinch. Use, get your knuckle and you're the palm, your bottom palm of your hand, and grab someone's stomach and pinch as hard as you can't, and they can't take the pain. And we're like, oh, good, that's the dumbest advice ever. One night, he was with my dad and my brother, and they got into a bar fight.
Starting point is 00:21:21 What? Them three. My dad and my brother and him, I was off to college. And he goes, and sure enough, he did the pinch move, and he stopped the whole fight. The dude had a knife, and he dropped the knife, hit the ground because he pinched him on the stomach. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:21:36 So that's another one if you can't do the three, four, two, one. Well, I'm not going to do three, four, two, one. I'm going to take my... I'm going to take my water. I'm going to toss it up, let them recall, punch, and I'm out. Yes. It's only if I feel threatened. I'm never going to get enough fight for any reason other than I feel threatened.
Starting point is 00:21:51 It's so worried for you now. I'm not trying to get into a fight. But I did feel a bit vulnerable out there. We had to move. They moved us because it got to be a bit dicey. And most people were cool. So, yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:04 Yeah, the one, yeah, I see you. It takes one person one time. I see you doing well with the one and out. Oh, gosh, have you stayed? Do you think I could look at me though? You think I could probably get it to a little bit? Yeah, I see you. If I close my eyes, I can see you doing the one two out.
Starting point is 00:22:18 Yeah. For sure, successfully. Yeah. Dang, if you stay in for more than that, bones, it could be over. Could I beat you up, though? Me? Yeah. Oh, I'd take you out a second.
Starting point is 00:22:25 Shut up. I kill you. I do that pinch move and then meet you and the nuts and we're done. Who would win, Amy? Me, ready. You? I'm scrappy. I'm Mexican.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Morgan number two hood win Bobby Guys you don't know me Once Eddie and I were playing golf Back like five years ago He's like I could take you I was like really And I went over and I picked him up
Starting point is 00:22:42 And slammed him in the T-box And then I was like can you take me He just laid there You're making that up Like a chump Am I making that out? I don't remember it Yeah exactly
Starting point is 00:22:50 And I'm not even manly But you're less manly You might have surprised me Was that when you were just Trying to hit his in the nuts With a club No that's every other time Okay
Starting point is 00:23:00 He does that kind of stuff Oh Eddie Funny Anything else we need to mention here? No, I don't think so. There anything else? We covered it. We covered it all.
Starting point is 00:23:11 I don't know if people like when the post show, pre-show, we go this long. I think it's like... Yeah, we should probably stop. No, I don't know. Like, I don't know if they better at work, because, again, it's not the most structured. We don't really know what we're talking about most of the time.
Starting point is 00:23:21 We just kind of sit in here and go. Sometimes it's five minutes. Sometimes it's, you know, 20 minutes, and we do a fight tutorial. Yes. Well, now people know. But it says hold a drink, throw in their face. You can even run after that.
Starting point is 00:23:31 No, no, get that one in. and throw it, boom. But I'm like, how am I going to do something in the face? But honestly, you probably could avoid jail time if you just threw the drink and ran. But you're such a pud if you do that. Well, yeah. Dude, you're talking jail time. Assault.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Yes. It's not a soul if you're threatened. That's not true. It's not a salt if you're being threatened. It's not assault. So all someone has to do is come up, put their arms up, be like, what? And you can punch them? If you feel threatened, no, if you feel threatened, you can hit somebody.
Starting point is 00:23:57 What if they were about to say, what up? What up? Oh, come on. Again, you're talking. You're talking about blurry lines here. That's not going to be the case. People do it all the time. I don't hit them.
Starting point is 00:24:07 But if I felt threatened, I'm worried about myself first. Then I am worried about... Listen, I sort of am with... I get what you're saying, Bobby, but you never know what could end up in court. I'll be sued for sure, but I'd be like, cool. Oh, yeah. Oh, cool. It'd be worth the press.
Starting point is 00:24:22 That's true. Yeah. Can you... How cool would be if I got a mugshot? Dude, I'm telling you that you'd be the Johnny Cash of radio. And I would be, I'd say I'd be like, I was protecting Morgan number two and I'd take it up a level. Oh, perfect. Everyone would love you.
Starting point is 00:24:35 Yeah, I'd be like, that's why I was, you know? That's right. Protecting. All right. Anything, Amy. Amy's got a new podcast up today and a new four things with Amy Brown. What is the topic today? I'm talking manifestation and faith.
Starting point is 00:24:50 I'm talking, taking a bath, like instead of working out. I've got an awesome interview guest that, like, has to eat to survive, like, certain foods. So we go over that and share some really. No, sorry, it's like she literally has to eat in a certain way. She healed her body with food. Where food was killing her, she then turned away the way she was eating. And then she now lives. So she's got some awesome recipes.
Starting point is 00:25:13 And then, oh, time management tips. You know, which are for myself too. What is manifestation? Turns into something. When you focus on visualizing when people do the vision boards and focus on it, law of attraction, when you think positively. Like it turns, like if you do this, it turns into that. Got it.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Right. Which I'm not, mine isn't all the way to like the secret level because I've never even read the secret and I'm not really into that. But I do go into where positive thinking affects your life. When I'm thinking negatively, I'm more negative and my energy is not good. When I'm focusing on positive things and gratitude, I'm in a much better place. And there, so there is a tie into that.
Starting point is 00:25:51 So why not focus on what your goals are? And I talk about a story that Steve Harvey shared where. On Oprah's podcast? Yes. And he, he, he, he, it's. His teacher, he told his teacher, he wanted to be on TV. And she laughed at him, made fun of him from the class and even told his parents, like, he's not taking school seriously. He said he wants to be on TV.
Starting point is 00:26:08 And his dad said, you know what, write that down, put it in your drawer. You look at that every day. And Steve said, he did. And now he's on TV seven days a week. And he, until that teacher died, he sent her a TV for Christmas every day so that she could look at him. Every day? Every Christmas, sorry. Every year.
Starting point is 00:26:24 She's got a house made of TVs. Walked into a TV house? He did say she saw him once. Having dinner on her TV table. And she was like, I have too many TVs. I have to start giving away. You need to stop sending them to me. He said, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:26:37 So he kept sending him until she died. My first ever favorite line from a song is from the County Crows, Mr. Jones. Yeah. When I look at the television, I want to see me staring right back at me. Ever in my life, that was the first time I heard a song. I was like, oh, that's my favorite line of a song. Oh, I just got goosebumps for you. And so that's going to come up.
Starting point is 00:27:00 Again. On American Idol. Not a not every day. American Idol, man, that's got to be a trip. Because the... I was on last year. Yeah, I mean, he's been on TV. Well, I know.
Starting point is 00:27:09 But I think about Dancing with the Stars and that was all live, so you didn't really get to see all that. Now you get to sit back. I didn't even have any of the episodes. I haven't seen a Dance One Star's full episode. Because I didn't recall. I might still have those bones. But you're probably on DVR. Yeah, you just come to my house.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Okay. All right. Settled that one. When I look at the television, I want to see me. Stand right back. at me. I want to be a big star. And I don't know how.
Starting point is 00:27:35 And I don't know why. Right? Yeah, sort of. And when everybody loves you. I did that on Idol last year, though. I'd like me staring back at me. And I've hosted shows on Fox. Do you allow yourself to think back about those moments?
Starting point is 00:27:49 I don't know. I don't enjoy anything. Like you're living the moments that you thought about. This is the thing. Like, we're at the country music hall of fame and people I really like were there. A lot of you guys, I guess everybody here was in this room was there. And people were like, you should really enjoy this. I don't understand what that means.
Starting point is 00:28:02 You should enjoy it. To be in a moment. Because you know I told Mike Dee, I said, all I think about is what, if I'm going to do something bad and I have to take this down. Well, it's only up for a year or so. That's good to remember that stuff.
Starting point is 00:28:13 But like in three days. Don't let that consume you. You're not going to do anything bad. Unless he punches somebody at a bar for saying, no, then they'll add to the exhibit on mugshot. Wow. Yeah, I have trouble. I would rather look at pictures of things right now
Starting point is 00:28:26 that have already happened when they've concluded positively. It's not a healthy place to be. Yeah. They enjoy. I don't enjoy things in the moment. I agree with you, though. That's hard.
Starting point is 00:28:36 But you should go home that night and just be like, oh, well, that was really, that really was cool. I think when they take it down in a year, then you're like, I made it. Thank God. I didn't do something. It's always a relief. Even when I, like, one dancer starts, like, what a relief that didn't let people down.
Starting point is 00:28:50 Bose, you're not a bad person. You'll be fine. Like, you're not going to do something to kill your name. Like, it's going to be okay. Oh, you'd hope, right? You'll be fine. All right. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:02 That's it. What are you doing tonight? I don't know. Oh, we have music lessons. No, nothing. I tell you, on my calendar, this is the first time in two months. There's not a dot on my calendar.
Starting point is 00:29:12 For evening? I have today completely doing nothing. I have nothing on my calendar. Been since January 1st or whatever, so we came back to work. Nothing on my calendar. I don't know what I'm going to do. So all you're going to do is ride your bike?
Starting point is 00:29:24 You're not even going to have to leave your house. Right. Hey, do you have yourself a good playlist for your bike ride? No, I have one of those bikes that they play music on it. Oh, they do. Fancy bike. Nice. I know. Probably too fancy.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Probably should have started at lower level. If I would do it. Yeah. Whatever. All right, cool. Here's today's show. Enjoy. It's Thursday, March 7th show.
Starting point is 00:29:47 And away we go. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones. Good morning. Welcome to Thursday.

My son is nine and my daughter six, and we listen to you every morning. You know, after I drop them off at school, I'm a nurse. I drive from hospital and hospital and see my patients. And I have to update them when we get home. We talk about shit dinner and they want to know what the big surprise was with lunchbox
Starting point is 00:30:32 and, you know, what Amy's kids. did last night with Bobby and they just always want to update, you know, on what's going on. Starting point is 00:31:13 Both Oh All right hey Thank you Carrie Have a good day Man That's good day to start off Here are your biggest songs
Starting point is 00:31:19 In country music By the way At number three Scottie McCreary This is it This is it Still in their top three Number two
Starting point is 00:31:27 Beautiful Crazy from Luke Combs Beautiful Crazy And then number one, Jordan Davis, take it from me. Take it for me. Take it for me if you want a t-shirt to sleep it. It's my favorite. You can keep it.
Starting point is 00:31:45 Looks good, baby, you should need it. Hanging off your shoulder. You got a jam, huh? Good job. Fripped up on it. The number one song in the Billboard Hot 100 is this one? We mentioned this, that it wasn't number 21 the week before, and it made the biggest jump ever because of the Oscar performance
Starting point is 00:32:06 to beat out Ariana Grande. So, there you go. You got that. How about that? Did you... So, before the Oscars, nobody had... They were just learning of it? No. But, I mean, 15 million people watched the Oscars. Okay, yeah. I mean, I watched the movie the same day
Starting point is 00:32:24 as the Oscars, and then I became an instant fan, so I was probably one of those people. Yeah, it was a big moment, live performance. The movie won for that song. Yeah. And then, I mean, even think about us, we brought Jimmy. Allen and Abby Anderson to play that song after the Oscars. True. So, yeah, there you go.
Starting point is 00:32:39 You good? Yeah. You're awake. I am. In the shal-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la. And beat this one. Like my hair? I bought it.
Starting point is 00:33:00 My hair. My hair. My hair. My hair. My hair. I like it. I like it. I bought it.
Starting point is 00:33:07 Stop crushing candy. Make the switch to Best Fiends. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. Tell you about the five-star rate of puzzle game. It just gets better. It's better than all the other puzzle games. Don't miss out. Best Fiends is not your average puzzle game.

Download Best Fiends for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Today. That's Best Fiends. Friends Without the R. Best Fiends, stop crushing that candy and play a game that I think you'll love and we love here on the show. Best Fiends. It's Thursday, so we try to investigate the Morning Corny. Ooh, I love this. We've never got one right, team. No, you're right.
Starting point is 00:34:17 We're over. The team is Lunchbox, our video producer Eddie and myself, and it's the Morning Corny, but we try to figure it out, like detectives. A morning corny! Did you hear about the carpenter who drank on the job? Did we hear about the carpenter who drank on the job? Level. He like levels. He hands.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Hammers? He's hammered. He got so hammered. That's it. Right. It has to be that. He got so. Yeah, he got hammered. Like, something about he got so hammered. Right? Like, he had to stop because he was so hammered. I wouldn't overthink it. I think he got hammered. Do we just commit to that? Yeah. Any of hammered wins.
Starting point is 00:34:52 The first thing that came to my mind was Saw, but I'm taking that out because hammered is legit. And if it's, okay. Amy, what, ask the question again? What would Saul? How would that fit? Yeah, I don't know. What just Carpenter saw. Well, we were just talking about words. Yeah. Things that came up.
Starting point is 00:35:07 Don't judge our team. Wood. How about this? He got so drunk he couldn't find his wood. Oh, that's good. That's good. Because that's a joke I would tell. No, it's wood like he's building house with.
Starting point is 00:35:19 Nails. He couldn't use his screwdriver. There are a lot of them, right? But we're going to go with hammered. I like hammered. Okay. Annie, read the question again? Did you hear about the carpenter who got drunk?
Starting point is 00:35:30 Wait, hold on. If we get this right? Stop. It's the first time ever. We're celebrating. Okay. Okay. Did we have music? Yeah, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:35:36 I messed up. Okay. Did you hear about the carpenter who drank on the job? Did I hear about the carpenter who drank on the job? No, I did not. Bones. He got hammered. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 00:35:53 We did it. I'm investigative. Morning, morning. Clear eyes, full of hearts. Can't be. Pretty fun when you get one, right? Wow, that felt good. All right.
Starting point is 00:36:15 We'll relax a bit. Jimmy Allen. I kind of threw y'all a little bit of a bone. Oh, yeah. Oh, dog, come on. Don't take it. No, we guessed it. Hate her.
Starting point is 00:36:27 Hate her. Yeah, Alex Trebek announced yesterday that he had pancreatic cancer. It popped up in my Twitter feed. Just like 50,000 other people in the United States each year. This week, I was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. Now, normally, the prognosis for this is not very encouraging. But I'm going to fight this. And I'm going to keep working, and with the love and support of my family and friends,
Starting point is 00:36:55 and with the help of your prayers also, I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease. Truth told, I have to, because under the terms of my contract, I have to host Jeopardy for three more years. So help me. Keep the faith, and we'll win. We'll get it done. Thank you. Do you see that yesterday? I did when I have goosebumps hearing him say it again. And I love that he's keeping a positive attitude. I mean, when I read pancreatic and stage four, I was like, oh, that's just not good. But he's staying positive, and he even made a little joke.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Yeah, and it looks like he shot that in front of the crowd because they laugh. Yeah. Maybe it was a producer, but it looks like he may have shot that before a show or something. Yeah. Alex Shereka 78 has hosted that show pretty much our entire life. I mean, since 1984. And that's one of those shows, too, that Enlist growing up, everybody could watch together.
Starting point is 00:37:53 It's like Shark Tank now. Everybody's kind of entertained by it. I love Jeopardy, though, because I was a quiz nerd. But yeah, good luck. Alex Trebek. I saw it, too. I saw it stage four, and I was like, ooh. And then pancreatic, which is a tough one.
Starting point is 00:38:07 It's a tough one, yeah. Yeah. Ugh. Let's go to Jordan and Virginia. Hey, Jordan. How are you? Pretty good. What's going on?
Starting point is 00:38:15 I was just wanting to check in and see how Ray and Laura are doing. So, Ray Mundo's our producer and his girlfriend, Ray and Bay. They had somebody shot into their house last night. So we'll talk to... You're going to talk about it coming up? Yeah, I'm down. I saw the... Well, I saw you post it last night.
Starting point is 00:38:31 And these guys over here, they're always being funny with their Twitter. Exactly. And I replied to Ray, I was like, is this real? And then I saw the news talking about it this morning. Yeah, that's what's difficult with being a funny guy on Twitter. I was like, I want to post this, but I don't want people to think I'm joking around. This is a serious subject. All I saw was a television with a big bullet hole in.
Starting point is 00:38:49 on Ray's Twitter. And then there was a window with a bullet hole in it. And I was like, Ray didn't even answer me when I said, is it real? I go to bed. I wake up this morning. And the news, it says, what I laughed at was the news goes, Bobby Boneshow producer, Cizzen Ray Mundo has a bullet into his house. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:07 Oh, man. Well, I had to text his girlfriend to make sure. And, I mean, she was shook it out. I mean, Ray will get into it all, but it's totally crazy. We'll do that when we come back. And like three and a half minutes you go with that? Yeah. I want to find out what happened and why they're going to do that.
Starting point is 00:39:19 There was like a bullet went into their house. Yeah. All right? We'll talk about that. And you just moved there, too, right? Yeah. The Bobby Bone Show. I'm on Twitter last night, and I see that our audio producer, Ray Mundo, is posting pictures of what he says is a bullet hole in his TV,
Starting point is 00:39:33 and then a bullet hole in his, like, glass door or window. Yes. So I mess up. I said, is this real? And then I fall asleep, and I think, I don't know if you fall asleep or not. Definitely fell asleep. And then I wake up, and the news is talking about Ray Mundo. Scary stuff here.
Starting point is 00:39:46 That home does belong to Ray Mundo. He's a producer for the bomb. phone show. Hold on a minute. Before we get started here, his name is not really Raymundo. We call him that now, but Ray was doing 23 and me and found he had like 0.1% Spanish. So I went with Raymundo. Right. And now the news is calling you that. I know, which is, that's the funny part. So, no, you told him to. They even credited your picture, Ray Mundo as a last name. That being said, we've got to get to the seriousness of the story. What happened? Yeah, I was in, uh, in the bed. I was sleeping and I heard something to sound like a bunch of
Starting point is 00:40:21 glasses breaking in the living room. I came running out. Me and the cat looked at each other. Like, what just happened? My chick's in the bath, so she wasn't even out at the time. And then I just started scanning the room. I had, we had no idea what it was.
Starting point is 00:40:32 There was no, at the time we couldn't see any glass. There was no paint. There was nothing that fell, no big, that could create a loud noise. So I was just shaking. And then me and my girl both look at the TV and there's just this big mark on the television. And I go, oh, you know what?
Starting point is 00:40:46 Sometimes the LED TV, sometimes they can just blow up like that. And I said sometimes the light bulbs go out. And then I look at. at it closer and there's a dent in the TV. And I was like, hold on, sweetie. That's not the bulb. And then I look at the window and there's a gunshot right in the window and I'm like, get out! And we all just hit the deck.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Me, my chick, all of us are laying on the ground. And she goes, should I call 911? And I was like, hell yeah, call 911. And so she called 911. And then within a minute, the cops were there. They bang on the door and they came in. They started asking questions. And I mean, they were like, was there a rifle? Was it a pistol? How long was the gun? I was like, officer. I don't know. I've been laying on the ground. And me and my girl didn't
Starting point is 00:41:21 want to get up because who knew if another shot was going to go off. What time of night was this? We're talking 8.30, but I'm guessing it was just somebody out drinking, somebody doing a drive-by, somebody in a parking lot. They're still investigating. So I'm telling you, a lot of this stuff's unknown. When you go back and you look at the, like the trajectory, where does it come from? I tried to measure it out a little bit and I was seeing the parking lot and road. I did think at one point it was out back Steakhouse, the parking lot, way too far, and the bullet wouldn't have had a trajectory that went up at that distance.
Starting point is 00:41:53 It's going to start to go down. So they were either below our apartment or right in the road. Do you think they were shooting at your apartment, or was it just a random? It was because the windows were wide open. You could see right in, and we had the TV on, and I think it was guys being funny, daring each other seeing if they could hit the TV or something. No way. That's serious.
Starting point is 00:42:08 We have huge windows, like these big bay windows. You can see all the way in. I mean, the scary part is my chick was sitting on the couch watching that TV two minutes before, but she had a random urge to go to the bath and take a bath. So she did like, yeah, she did. Yeah, she did one of those bomb bass. And because of that, she wasn't out there watching TV. The cat was five feet away.
Starting point is 00:42:25 He had little shards of glass in his bed. Luckily, nobody was injured. Our producer Raimundo's in studio hit a bullet. Just fly through his window, fly it into his TV. Did you guys find the bullet? We did. It was in the kitchen. So it hit the TV, the Samsung.
Starting point is 00:42:39 It ended up just denting the Samsung and then ricocheting into the kitchen. But I went through netting. It went through two panes of glass, blew up the TV, and then ricocheted into the kitchen. What did the cops tell? I tell you. Cop said it was a pistol. Luckily, wasn't a rifle or sniper or anything like that. Totally freaked us out.
Starting point is 00:42:54 And they asked us, do you guys have a hit out for you? Anybody, you think anybody's after you guys? And I'm like, officer, officer, what are you talking about? Do you guys have any exes you don't like anymore? I'm like, sir, sir, what? We just woke up. No, we're very nice people. People like us a lot.
Starting point is 00:43:07 We've never had issues. But they said, safe area, just a couple of college, high school kids, somebody, being crazy, being a redneck, taking a shot. Let me play this news clip here. Scary stuff here. That home does belong to Raymondo. He's a producer for the Bobby Bone Show. He sent us some pictures here, actually showing the bullet holes right through the window of his home, as well as inside the TV of that home.
Starting point is 00:43:28 Take a closer look here. Ramundo calls it one of the scariest moments of his life and says he was sleeping behind the wall where that TV is. Another woman in the home was taking a bath at the time. I'm unsure if that's his wife or girlfriend. The bullet, he says, missed the couple's cat by about five feet. Ramundo says it was either a drive-by or came from a nearby parking lot. Again, very scary stuff. Did you call the news or they'd contact you?
Starting point is 00:43:53 They all hit us up. Just because I was posting, my girl was posting, and then somebody caught onto it. And then most of the stations ended up trying to run an article on it. What are you loving it? There was a woman. There was a woman. There was a woman in the home taking a bath. Unsure if that's his wife or girlfriend.
Starting point is 00:44:08 And then the bullet missed their cat by five. It did. I know. Just everything about it is so. The way the news people reported on it was very humor. The fact that they're saying it's Ramundo over again. It was just like. I'm glad you're okay.
Starting point is 00:44:21 Oh my gosh. I'm glad you're okay. That's crazy. Absolutely. Yep. That's so crazy. I thought you were just being ridiculous. No.
Starting point is 00:44:26 I mean, so then do you just, do you stay? You just moved in there. So do you stay living there or do you move? That's a million dollar question. So we'll find out in the coming weeks. I mean, I haven't been in the living room since. I know my chick's hiding out in a bedroom right now.
Starting point is 00:44:39 I mean, she's terrified. The cat probably hasn't left the bed either. I mean, it's weird. Yeah. Going in a room where there was a bullet that just shot through and hit a bunch of stuff, very, very crazy. scariest moment of my life, just like the guy said. You told him that, so he said what you said.
Starting point is 00:44:55 So did you tell him there was a woman? He said, he said bomb bath? There was a random woman taking a bomb bath. Did you leave him unclear on who that was? The thing is, with the news stations, you never know what they're going to run with. I tell him, I tell him bath. I say cat. I say, almost got hit.
Starting point is 00:45:10 You never know what story. Raymundo, there you go. Well, listen, all seriously, we're glad you're okay. Thank God. That's crazy. Thank God. Ramundo had to call 911, because somebody shot into 911,
Starting point is 00:45:21 but then I didn't want to get charged with improper use. So I called 3-1-1, just because I saw these same punk kids in my neighborhood that break into cars. They're not bashing windows, but they go to see if a car is unlocked, and they go car to car. And they saw me walk outside.
Starting point is 00:45:35 They saw me see them, and they just kept checking door handles going down the road. And I'm like, hello, I see you. Like, basically they were not phased by me, and I was like, offended. So I was like, huh, let me get my phone. I'll show you. I'll call 3-1-1.
Starting point is 00:45:49 Well, at first I was like, nine, and I was like, so I called 3-1, and when I talked to the woman, she said, okay, we're going to send an officer. Then she was asking me if they had weapons. I was like, I don't know. I don't know. I just saw them. But this is what the kids in my neighborhood do. And she said, yes, it's very common in that area. So lock your cars.
Starting point is 00:46:06 And, yeah, you did the right by calling 3-1-1. I was like, okay, thanks. Did you actually the cops come out there? No, I mean, I went back inside. I'm sure they eventually made it by. There's always cops nearby. They're up and on my street all the time. That's why my son has such a good thing.
Starting point is 00:46:19 relationship with them. Let's do the dumb reason you had to call 911. Okay. Like you called and you look back and you go, what was that thinking? Yeah, like you probably should have called three one one. It's been a crazy day here on the show. Ray Mundo, our audio producer, someone shoots into his house. Bullet goes through his window, through his TV, the news come, they're covering it, the cops are there. Scary stuff here. That home does belong to Ray Mundo. He's a producer for the Bobby Bones show. He sent us some pictures here actually showing the bullet holes right through the window of his home. as well as inside the TV of that home.
Starting point is 00:46:51 Raymondo said he called 911 and then the cops got there. And obviously there wasn't an issue with safety right then. But they were like, man, you must have been watching something bad, huh? Is that what they said, Raymondo? What? They must not like the TV show you're watching? That was one of the first joke comments. Just try to like the situation.
Starting point is 00:47:07 I mean, we were so stressed out and scared. Remember, we were flat on the floor. So what were you watching when the Bull hit the TV? It was New Jersey, Real Housewives. Oh, yeah. Probably not their favorite one. They're Beverly Hills all the way. So that was a real reason to call 911.
Starting point is 00:47:23 And then Amy was going to call 911 because some kids were walking down our street opening car doors. But instead you called 311. And we're like, hey, you ever called 911 for a dumb reason? Hey, can I run in Arkansas? Hey. Hey, what'd you do? So my alarm was going off one morning. And I thought I was hitting smooth like with the volume button.
Starting point is 00:47:40 But instead it said to make emergency phone call, I guess, because I woke up to the sheriff's office on the phone. Oh, so you slid the button the wrong way probably. I guess. Oh, no. That's funny. And then what did you say to them? Sorry? I said, sorry. I didn't mean to call. And she was like, okay, we were just checking. Do they, like, do one of the where they come out and make sure? Yeah, because what if, like, you're being held a gunpoint saying, sorry, I didn't mean to call. And the guy's like, tell him you, his emergency alarm.
Starting point is 00:48:04 Hey, thank you, Kyra for the call. I hope you have a good day. Hey, Nate in Wisconsin. Yeah, so I was sitting there watching YouTube videos, cops videos, and my wife called 911. because she heard the audio over our home Bluetooth speaker system. Oh, and she thought someone was breaking in the house? She thought there was an intruder in that I was being held at gunpoint. So I hear this whispering in the other room with her on the phone with the cops, and I go check to see what's going on.
Starting point is 00:48:34 I thought she was hurt, and she realizes that then I'm not being held at gunpoint by an intruder. Wait, she didn't yell for you or anything? Are you okay? She just called the cops, thought it was that serious? She didn't yell for me or grab a warrant. weapon. She locked herself inside the house in a towel instead of leaving the house and called the cops while she was still in there. And what's the conversation you have with her after that's over? So, honey, you know, you know where the weapons are in the home. You know that you should leave
Starting point is 00:49:05 if there's an immediate threat, kind of the basic, like, we should meet here. And, oh, my gosh, I love you. I can't believe you would stay in the line of fire and call because you didn't want to leave. So it was good and bad. What did the cops say? So they're like, okay, so there isn't an immediate threat and sort of had that de-escalation moment. And then they said, well, we may still send an officer by the house just to make sure everything's okay. But we were heading out for dinner in a few minutes anyway. And we let them know that.
Starting point is 00:49:37 So we never had any follow-up with them, surprisingly. That's funny. Hey, thanks for the call. Nate. Appreciate that, bud. Yeah, hey, thanks, guys. Huge fan of the show. Appreciate it.
Starting point is 00:49:45 Thanks, man. There is Nate in Wisconsin. Dumb reasons that you called 911. Here is Jenna in North Carolina. Hey, Jenna. Hey. What's happening? Not much.
Starting point is 00:49:59 So, me and my mom were driving one day, and we thought this house was on fire. And so she called 911. So the fire truck showed up, and turns out this man was mowing his yard and hit a patch of dirt. He thought of a smoke. Yeah. Yeah. That's funny. Daphne, how are you? I'm great. How are you all?
Starting point is 00:50:24 Good. Thanks for calling. What's going on? Well, I guess I had a valid reason to call 911, but I felt dumb doing it. We had a house that a car drove through. Wait, your house? Yeah, my house. Wait, so where are you when this happens? So I was at a baseball game with the youth group sponsoring them. And I get this call from my son who had thankfully just gotten home.
Starting point is 00:50:50 And he's like, Mom, why is there a car in our house? I mean, he's a teenager. I'm like, yeah, whatever. He's like, no, Mom, there's a car in our house. So I said, well, call 911. And I leave the youth group and, you know, run home. And there's this guy sitting in his little SUV. He never got a ticket.
Starting point is 00:51:12 Wait, still? Even when you got home, he was still in the car in your house? Yeah. Was he drunk? I don't know. They never ticketed him. I mean, he had to have something altering his state. So then what happens?
Starting point is 00:51:25 He just backs out and goes home or what? What? He just backs out of the house and goes home or what? No, no. They had to call, you know, a tow truck and pull the car out of the house and then board it all up. I mean, the good thing is nobody was home. Yeah. Because, like, that's right where the dog bed is or was.
Starting point is 00:51:46 That's like Raymondo's cat. Yeah, Ramon's Cat almost got shot. That made the news too. Hey, thank you for the call, Daphne. I appreciate that. Hey, John in Texas. Hey, John in Texas. You there, buddy?
Starting point is 00:51:58 Yes, I am. Hey, tell me your story. So, I was in the bathroom and I left my phone in the living room, and I come out to hear my four-year-old daughter on the phone with 911 reporting her five-year-old brother that he stole one of her toys. Oh. Oh, what are you? You do.
Starting point is 00:52:18 I immediately grabbed the phone. I'm on the phone with the operator. I actually got a ticket for improper use for that. What? There was no grace because it was your kids. No. How much is that? How much is that?
Starting point is 00:52:30 It was about $300. Oh, that is just wrong. Yeah. What does the cops say when he issued you the ticket? He was like, you should keep better track of your phone, make sure your daughter doesn't get a hold of it again. And I was like, what do you? want me to do. I was in the bathroom. She usually uses it to use Netflix. Did they arrest your son
Starting point is 00:52:53 like they should have, though? No, no. Wow. Yeah, I appreciate that call. Hey, John, thanks a lot, but I appreciate that. No problem. All right. See, that's a good story. Are you surprised? I'm surprised they gave him the ticket. Yeah. I saw your son was trying to call 911, or like trying to know what it was. But instead of 911, he wrote, QLLL. Lowercase, QLL looks like a 911. Oh, yeah. He's new to English. I get that. So he was like typing it into his tablet, trying to practice, because like a drill. We're like, let's just be prepared. And he's like, QLL.
Starting point is 00:53:25 And I'm like, okay, first of all, 911 is numbers. Yeah, yeah. Like, basically if I'm in trouble, I'm just going to die. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. I love when stories just spread and then someone gets word of it and boom, they do something awesome. So there's this couple in North Carolina and they have a little.
Starting point is 00:53:47 leaky roof. And whenever it rains, it just pours right through. They have to use buckets. They cannot afford to get a new roof at all, thousands of dollars. So they just use tubs to catch the rainwater. Sometimes they have to empty out the tubs in the middle of the night, depending on how heavy the rain is. So a family member started a GoFundMe page. Well, then a roofing company saw the GoFundMe page. I was like, you know what? Forget this. I'm just going to go in and repair the roof for free. And then ABC Ply, the roofing company, by the way, Southern Star Roofing. and then ABC supply provided materials to repair the water damage that had been created inside the house. That's good.
Starting point is 00:54:23 That's cool. Good for them. Love it. Thank you. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 00:58:52 Now, here we are you. Turn it up. School bus and a dump truck crashing each other. Did you see the story? No, what happened? It's in Indiana. More than 20 hurt in Indiana. A school bus and a dump truck hit each other.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Mostly students are recovering from injuries when they hit. State police of the accident occurred yesterday morning, about 45 minutes west of Cincinnati. I have a school bus that hits rear-ended. I've got to be struck, and the bus was full up kids. I have got kids sitting everywhere on the road. So the bus ran to the dump truck. What did she say? What was all over the road?
Starting point is 00:59:28 I don't know. Kids? Aye, yeah, y'all. You say kids on the road? Or, like, debris? It looks like everybody's going to be okay, right? Okay. Yeah. Here we go. Here's another clip. That certainly would be speculation on my part to guess as to why this occurred,
Starting point is 00:59:41 to why the bus driver didn't see the truck park there. But, you know, we'll certainly look into all. all those avenues and try to determine what exactly happened. Again, they say 22 people, mostly students, are recovering from the injuries. Here's the thing about bus drivers, Uber drivers. We, as people who get in with them, just feel like they're actually gods. Correct. Because we're like, no, we don't even worry about them.
Starting point is 01:00:03 We trust you. They don't mess up. Yeah. It's not true. It's not true. I get into an Uber. Close your eyes. Don't even need a seatbelt.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Take my feet out the window. Get up in the back dashboard. Who, it's like, this guy's got me. Yeah, it's weird how that is, huh? Like, you just feel like they must be experts. When really, Ray Mundo is driving Uber. Yeah. Right.
Starting point is 01:00:24 I know, I know. That says a lot. Sometimes I don't even buckle right away. And I'm like, why? And then I'm in a cab or something, which happens from time to time. Why do I feel like I don't have to buckle? Because we feel like we're getting into someone's space and they're an expert in their space. Like, you go to a doctor's office.
Starting point is 01:00:40 You go, oh, it's a doctor. They know everything. One, they're educated and they're filled. But again, all these people are talking about a human. human beings. And if someone came in here, they're like, you know, Bobby, you're an expert at this. We don't have to worry about you speaking words. You're kidding. Yeah. Anyway, I saw that. Luckily, nobody got hurt, hurt. It looks like, nobody died. But again, we just trust. Like, a school bus driver had friends that were school bus drivers. Now they're friends. They were like coaches back in the day.
Starting point is 01:01:05 And they're the biggest idiots. Flight, like, I have friends that are pilots. Pilots. They were the biggest idiots back in college. Now they're flying commercial. I've said before, I walk up looking at the window, see it's them, I'll probably turn around. Be like, you know what? I'm going to sit this one out, guys. I'll catch you on the other side. But, yeah, don't forget, everybody's human. American Idol was last night, and finally Alejandro gets to perform. And he's the guy that I've been, like, working with a bit.
Starting point is 01:01:31 I wasn't in the initial audition because I was still doing Dancing with the Stars at the time. So it was the first time I had seen it last night of him just performing on TV. And even then, and they call it one of the greatest auditions ever on American Idol, still don't think it gave him justice, did him justice how good he is. Wow. Because again, you're just up there and those mics are like boom mics are over the top of you. They're just taking audio of just a room. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:55 It's not like he's plugged in and you're getting really great audio. So as good as it was last night, I watched that dude play in a loud outside place and it shut the room down. Nobody talked. Everybody was like, it was like, it was like everybody talking outside, quiet. Yeah. Yeah. Pays attention to the guy. And you hear, you've heard a lot of people saying.
Starting point is 01:02:14 Oh yeah, a lot of people Yeah, he's special Here's Alejandro last night And he didn't play guitar To like three years ago And because no one taught him He has this really weird way of playing He's like, like hit in the
Starting point is 01:02:35 He said it's a weird fingering way That he hits the strings And everything he's doing Just looks weird And you're like, what's happening With this guy? He is Presumes nothing about how good he is
Starting point is 01:02:48 He's like, I don't know if I'll make it Everybody's good Keeps his head down, walks in He's like, I don't even want to play music until like I don't want to work in the warehouse anymore I just picked up a guitar Wow.
Starting point is 01:02:57 It's hard to say the truth of love. Oh, oh, no. This is him doing the thing. Luke looks hurt because he's so confused by how good it is. He's like, what? It's so good. And I don't even think it did it justice on TV last night. It sounds like he's got the gift.
Starting point is 01:03:27 So, except he has a gift of music. He's tough to have a big conversation with so far. Oh, yeah, and you're the mentor. I like him a lot, and I've been talking and working with him. So you're helping him with his confidence? I don't, he doesn't need confidence. Or his presence or something? I don't know what I can say at this point.
Starting point is 01:03:43 Okay. Oh, yeah, that's true. Because, but I've spent a lot of time with them. I like him a lot. Does he have a last name? Yeah, Alejandro. I think it's like, A-R-A-N-D-A. Is he just go by Alejandro?
Starting point is 01:03:54 That's all I call him. Okay, yeah. Yeah. Maybe that's his thing. Everybody loves him too up there. Because, again, he just is so gracious to everybody and is like, man, you guys are so good. and then he pulls out his guitar and not like shredding.
Starting point is 01:04:07 No, that sounds amazing. Yeah, he's good. This kid, Logan, he got his, again, he got his chip, his sobriety chip. And he was celebrating his sobriety by singing and playing guitar. He did sober by Demi Lovato last night. Mama, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 01:04:24 I'm not sober anymore. He's like a little goofy kid, but he's really good. And it was good. There was a kid from Nashville. I'm Eddie Island. who's kind of nuts. And this is how I'm doing Stay Okay. You tell me you want me to change.
Starting point is 01:04:43 How am I supposed to... And Idol's not usually on Wednesdays, but they put it on all they put it on last night. I'm not in those meetings. Oh, you're not? Mm-mm. I don't get to pick what night it was on. So, yeah, it was good.
Starting point is 01:04:53 It was a good show last night. Watch that. Trisha Earwood came over to the house yesterday. And how'd that go? They went great. Like, it's Trisha Yearwood. And so she comes over, and she had been on the show
Starting point is 01:05:04 and we know each other a bit and so she just walks in and like you want to start and she's like yeah and so we talked about some of the like her first ever shows were opening for Garth in 1991
Starting point is 01:05:16 didn't play clubs she was singing like background on records and then you got a deal and she didn't play bars or went straight to opening up for Garth Garth 1991 like massive tour
Starting point is 01:05:28 so my very first audiences were opening for Garth and doing a set in front of 15,000 people who didn't know who I was. Is that right? That was my first. And of course, Garth being Garth,
Starting point is 01:05:39 you know, most of the time, if you're on a big tour like that, the artist has all their stuff, and then there's a big curtain in front of it, and you've got about three feet to stand in front of and do your show, which would have been a dream come true for me because I was terrified.
Starting point is 01:05:50 And of course, Garth's like, here, use my whole stage, you know? I'm like, oh, that's so great. It's crazy. And I try not to talk about Garth. Because I don't, if Trisha wasn't married to Garth, she'd still be amazing
Starting point is 01:06:04 Trisha Yearwood It would be Trisha freaking Yearwood Exactly But she happens to be married To probably the one level Above everyone Which is Garth
Starting point is 01:06:12 The Goat Right And so out of respect I don't talk about Garth much Because I don't need to talk about Garth Tricia is a freaking awesome career But that's like part of the fabric of her life And so she brings it up
Starting point is 01:06:24 And then it's like oh cool It's good it's a good Bobbycast We spend an hour So wherever you listen to your podcasts search Bobbycast and check it out if you get some time she talked about how she would get off work because she was a receptionist
Starting point is 01:06:34 and she would go in right from work and she would sing at a bowling alley for five hours and then for a while I got a job playing at a bowling alley so I would go leave my job and I would play from seven to two
Starting point is 01:06:46 and then I would get up and go to work what does that mean what do you do at a bowling alley when you play? Do you have like a... You play sets so you play like three sets Are you in a band? I was in a band
Starting point is 01:06:54 so I did all the girls songs at seven hours not five. Oh my gosh She'd sleep a few hours ago back to being a receptionist. That's a long time. Yeah, it's a good one. And she's awesome.
Starting point is 01:07:03 So, yeah, Trisha Earwood. She was talking about, she has that Frank Sinatra album. She came and talked about. And she has a new country album. She's just finishing. This is good, man. It's good. Check it out if you get some time today.
Starting point is 01:07:11 After the show's over, obviously, don't do it now. So much feedback about the segments we were doing the last couple days were, listen, I kind of admitted how I'm an idiot with girls. Yes. Basically. I mean, if you're calling yourself that. Yeah, yeah. We didn't call you that.
Starting point is 01:07:29 call you an idiot. You kind of did. Here's what happened. And it's, so a lot of stations go away after this segment, depending on when they drop the show. Some East Coast stations go away because it's almost 10. Some Central stations drop it. I texted a girl that I had been out with a couple of times over like weeks and weeks.
Starting point is 01:07:44 It was just too sporadic. And I was like, hey, I'm home for a few weeks. Do we want to try to date and say if we like each other or nah? And then it turned into the show making fun of me. Yeah, me it was hilarious. And the listeners think it's funny too. You know what? You can listen to all that back just.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Search for Bobby Bone show on demand wherever you listen to your podcast. Day one of that conversation. Which two days ago. Two days ago. That might be the most I've laughed in a while. Not to me. Here I am exposing myself. Giving you guys my heart and going, this is what I did.
Starting point is 01:08:13 Like if you need to laugh, because sometimes laughter is medicine, check it out. Then she didn't respond for a whole 24 hours. Oh, yeah. And then it was like, well, I don't be penciled in, so we're good. And I was like, all right, I get it. It was funny. I was like, cool, cool, cool. Anyway, that's the deal.
Starting point is 01:08:26 You can hear that. There's no update, by the way. Oh, she never wrote back No, I mean, it just kind of stopped up Well, you replied, okay, BFF for life That's true, I didn't do that See, here we go again, I'm not walking down Listen to the show, replay though
Starting point is 01:08:39 If you ever miss the show, you can go back and hear all this stuff Search for the Bobby Bone Show Wherever you listen to your podcasts Or search it on IHeart Radio Here you go, it's official Bend, Oregon has the very last Blockbuster on Earth Oh, that's it.
Starting point is 01:08:53 Yeah, there was one other one in Australia They closed it down, so Bend Oregon has the last blockbuster What a Blockbuster is, Morgan number two, since you're 25. It's this building, right? And you go into it and you used to get, well, first of all, it was VHSs. Did you ever go to Blockbuster? Yeah, when I was really, really little, though.
Starting point is 01:09:10 Like, five years old. Your mom would tell you the memories of it. Do you know about Be Kind Rewind? Yeah, like, I remember it, and I remember the VHSs, but I was really young. Like, I really was like four or five. Well, then it turned into DVDs. And you go and you get a DVD. They even tried a laser disc at one point.
Starting point is 01:09:30 Yeah, that's a thing. But that to you isn't really a thing where you go and run a movie at a store, like a walk into the door. Is it in? You go, hey, it's a. Oh, gosh. Yeah, is Dr. Doolittle in? And they're like, no, sorry.
Starting point is 01:09:43 And you would stare at the return box hoping that, like, sorry return. If someone dropped it in, can you check that real quick? Ooh, is that it? Is that Jumanji? Yeah. And then I'd beg my mom for whatever candy was, like, there at the checkout. They got you. There's, like, single bags of pop.
Starting point is 01:09:57 popcorn that you pop in the microwave. So the company filed bankruptcy in 2010 and closed all its corporate-owned stores, but anyone that had one themselves kept it open. And so this is the last one, the Bend, Oregon Blockbuster. Good times.
Starting point is 01:10:13 Rest in peace. Yeah. To all Blockbuster. What? Those are coming back. VHS is coming back, though, like vinyl. Stop this. I told you all urban outfits
Starting point is 01:10:20 selling them. It's not enough to keep a store open. There's not a vinyl store that's open. Like you can get it online. So it's not. really the same argument. You see what I'm saying? I'm saying, keep it open.
Starting point is 01:10:29 I was just saying. But VHS isn't even coming back. Okay. It's not. There's nothing good. Vinyl has a sound to it that's very old school and you like, oh, this is very. Yes, there's nothing special about it. When you pop into VHS, it's not like so amazing.
Starting point is 01:10:42 No. Okay. Well, I'm just saying, hold on to it might be worth some money. I'm not trying to be a hater. Sounds like it. These are the top rent of movies of Blockbuster of all time. Oh, wow. This is cool.
Starting point is 01:10:51 Are you ready? Yeah. Number five. Who framed Roger Rabbit? Oh, it's a good one. You know why? Wait, no, I'm thinking something else. I'm thinking, honey, I shrunk the kids, had a little mini Roger Rabbit movie in front of it.
Starting point is 01:11:03 Cool. Oh, it did? Yeah. Cool story. Thank you. Number four, the Lion King. Yeah, solid. Number three, Mrs. Doubtfire.
Starting point is 01:11:14 Good one. Oh, it's a good family time. Number two, Aladdin. Yeah. Okay. And the number one movie, rented a blockbuster is... Home Alone. Forest Go.
Starting point is 01:11:25 Morgan never says like I don't know what it is I was three I never heard these movies Titanic Oh of course There you have it everyone So that's what's happening That's the last one
Starting point is 01:11:40 I know this is kind of like a history segment I don't want to bore our younger listeners Yeah But stories of yesteryear Well they should know about the past That's what I'm saying Well we'll go to Morgan number two And do what a 25 year olds care about
Starting point is 01:11:51 I just kind of equal it out So do you guys remember the guy who survived in his car based on Taco Bell sauce? Yeah, he was trapped for days, and the only thing he ate out of his dashboard was Taco Bell like the hot fire sauce. Yeah, so Taco Bell came in clutch and they gave him free Taco Bell for a year.
Starting point is 01:12:11 Oh, that's amazing. Oh, wow. Isn't that pretty cool? Yeah, it's really cool. I mean, I kind of want to go survive on taco sauce so I can get Taco Bell for years. Just like make a story about it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:12:21 What does that mean? Do you know how much it gets a day? Do you know what the rule is? I don't know. Yeah, because sometimes it'll mean, like, you know, you know, yeah, one combo meal a day. Even then, that's pretty good. It's great.
Starting point is 01:12:30 It's so great. It's $365.000. And we know that he can live off of just taco sauce alone, so he's fine. That's true. All right, is that it, Morgan, number two? That's it. All right, let's go over to Steph in Massachusetts. Hey, Steph, how are you?
Starting point is 01:12:41 I'm good. How are you? Real good. Thanks for calling. What do you want to say? This is, like, the coolest moment of my life. Come on, step. Other than this moment, what's the coolest moment of your life?
Starting point is 01:12:50 Think about that. Um, well, seeing you when dancing on stars. Oh yeah. Not about me. Like your life. Like what's happened in your life that's the coolest? You've ever been married? Well, we got engaged last year.
Starting point is 01:13:05 Come on. That's a cool moment, right? Are you saying that talking to us is cooler than getting engaged? Are you saying that right now? It's close. Okay. It's like, yeah, it's like tied. You know, that's like 1A and you guys always 1B.
Starting point is 01:13:18 All right. Well, what can I do for you? What do you want to say? So my fiancé and I are coming to your show in Boston next. week. Yeah, next Sunday. So excited. Oh, my God. You guys, we take a lot of road trips, and you are, like, the only podcast we can agree on because we don't get you in our area, so we're both so excited to come. Well, that's awesome. And not to be the big secret of her, but I think Eddie and I are going to
Starting point is 01:13:42 record a bit of a live album, a comedy album in Boston that day in the theater. No way. Yeah. Not to, not to... Oh, my God. I know. So, yeah. Be a part of history. Your screams. We're going to do a live comedy music album. It's going to be special. Yeah. Well, thanks. and we'll play emoji love song, all the hit. Yes. Well, I can't wait to see you, Steph. Anybody wants to come and get tickets at raging idiots.com.
Starting point is 01:14:02 Boston, not this Sunday, next Sunday. St. Patrick's Day. So I'm going to drink so much green beer. Are you? No. Oh, damn. I am. After the show.
Starting point is 01:14:11 You know what catfishing is, right? Yes, when you trick people online. You lure them in. Yeah. Hookline and sinker. And so you act like something you're not. It's cat fishing. A 20-year-old woman shared that after six days, a guy dumped her,
Starting point is 01:14:25 Because he said that she was catfishing him because she was wearing a bunch of makeup to cover acne. And he was like, that's catfishing. Okay. Okay. She said they went backpacking, so she wasn't wearing makeup. And he said, hey, you shouldn't leave people on like that. What? That's not catfishing.
Starting point is 01:14:42 Catfishing is the time Bobby thought he was talking to a guest. Yes, Gene's model. Gede's model, yeah. Brie Condon, who's like this haughty, but he was really talking to some man alone in a hotel room. Yeah. Got him. But, but that's like, you know. And we wonder why he has issues with trust and love.
Starting point is 01:15:02 Right. So that's not, that's catfishing. Yeah. Putting makeup on. Why can't you just say catfishing is like the MTV show? Why are you going to bring my embarrassment back into this? Because you have an example. I have a lot of examples.
Starting point is 01:15:13 A real life example. Like it's a real life. Like you could have been on MTV. That show. I mean, the news covered it. That's what we found out. It's so frustrating. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:25 I was having dinner last night with a friend, a work friend, but a friend more so than somebody from work. And I was talking to her, she's married, and she was like, one day you're going to find, because I know her husband too. And she was like, well, you're going to find someone like this. And I was like, I'm 38 years old. I've been through it all. I'm going to do the ringer.
Starting point is 01:15:40 And I'm going to find time's up. When you have that attitude. Times up. You're not really doing some positive thinking there with that. Hey. If you think times up, I'm not going to meet anybody. Well, guess what? You're probably not going to meet anybody.
Starting point is 01:15:52 I have friends that are nuttier than I am. Who have you have wonderful. relationships. I sit in my house sometimes and I'm just like, just look around and I'm like, what is it? I'm so lonely. What is happening here? That makes me sad. Should get a, like eight dogs. Keep that, keep that chin up, man. Just get one dog and then one girlfriend, maybe eventually. I know. I know. I'm like, I don't give up on things. That's like, eventually, I'm not going to be able to have babies anymore. That's not true. No, guys are love. You can do that until the day you die. Yeah. What, Nick Jagger. Did you see the
Starting point is 01:16:24 story about, this is kind of a sad story, that I think their grandson had died, and so they went and they went and said, and had legally, were able to go in and get a sperm. What? So they could have, like, continue the legacy. The grandson. Huh? Was he the only boy left? I think so. I think he was in his 20s. Okay. When you say grandson, I was just, I did too. I did too. This just got weird. No, it wasn't a little kid, but that. But I mean, he had put in his,
Starting point is 01:16:52 I mean, do you have to approve that before? you die, like, hey, if I die before procreating, you can go in and get my sperm. Pull up the headline, will you please? Because, I mean... I can't imagine that being okay. Right.
Starting point is 01:17:06 You can't just like... It's the work computer. All I heard them go is, oh no, what do I Google? I don't Google it. What do I need? Keywords. Spirm? Can you get sperm from a dead person legally?
Starting point is 01:17:20 Type in grandson sperm, and then you deal with ramifications. Oh, it's called, what's that thing when you die? Post-thamonist. Post-Thomas? Post-Thomomis. Here we go. Spirm retrieval. There we go. Cadet, Peter Zoo's parents, lose son, but when promise a future grandson.
Starting point is 01:17:38 That's what it was. So it was, I guess they're calling the grandson the sperm. What if they don't have a boy, though? Oh, was he dead or just brain dead? I mean, he can't have babies anymore. It doesn't matter. I'm curious right now if he is dead or brain dead. I was injured February 23rd in his skin.
Starting point is 01:17:54 accident they what do you have here they stop breathing he's brain dead but again you just can't have I know
Starting point is 01:18:04 I guess your body's still working now that I'm reading about it it does happen it's something that happens to brain dead people but I was just picturing him dead and then I'm like how do they get it
Starting point is 01:18:13 I thought made me to go in and get it before kind of like an organ you've got a set amount of time to retrieve it before it put it on ice I don't know but yeah
Starting point is 01:18:21 apparently this is like a thing it's called PSR Bones, do you want us to get yours if you die? Like, do something with it? I don't know. If I'm not here to kind of make sure that kid's going the right way, I don't know that I want to bring anybody in this world. It's a rough world out there.
Starting point is 01:18:35 I'm struggling with it. And you can't do anything about it? Yeah, good point. Like, I'm like, what do I do? What's he going to do? Or she going to do, you know? Yeah. He must have had some sort of written consent.
Starting point is 01:18:45 Like to say, hey, take it. How forward thinking of him? If there was written consent, though, they wouldn't go to the courts. All right. It would just be like, go. Go ahead and going in. Anyway, I saw that. I obviously just saw the headline and read the first paragraph. That's what we always do. That's what we do. Well, I read it. And then I go, do I want to go further into it? And I didn't until I brought that up. And so I was like, oh. Oh, yeah, I'm a headline reader all the time. Read the headline. Feel like, okay, feel like I know this pretty good. And then I'm like, ooh.
Starting point is 01:19:14 Dave and Georgia, hey. Hey, Bobby, how's it going? Yeah, but what's going on? Hey, I just want to let you know, dude. Even though you're 38, don't give up. I am 40. And, I am getting married in April for the very first time. It does happen. What's your issue? What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:19:31 What's my issue? Well, I mean, they give me all my issues of being 30. I'm going to be 39 April 2nd. And they're like, I'm just a nice guy that, you know, didn't get treated right. You just find me found the right woman that treats me right. You know, maybe I don't need to be so nice. Maybe you just need to treat it right. Leather jacket.
Starting point is 01:19:50 Maybe wear some spikes around my neck. Oh, you want to be bad. And he'd be like, what's up, baby? That's, no. That's not, it don't work for me? Good work. No, you work for you. You do you.
Starting point is 01:20:02 I've been doing me for a long time. You just have to be open. All right. Thank you, Amy. Thank you for bringing that whole catfishing story. That was a dude. Yeah, right. We only dated for like a month after that, so.
Starting point is 01:20:15 Did you see the Lady Gaga story today? The one where she's having a hard time getting out of character. Yeah. Yeah. You know, it's the nuttiness that we love and it's the nuttiness we can't understand. Like, she really had to get nutty to play and immerse herself in that role.
Starting point is 01:20:31 Like, you have to have this odd part of you. And I think anybody creative has this odd part that goes into weird places. But then you're also just weirded. Like, it takes weird people to do weirdly awesome things. And so I completely understand how Lady Gaga can't, like, get out of character.
Starting point is 01:20:46 You spend months and months getting into that spot, and all of a sudden you're supposed to go, snap out of it. Yeah. And again, she's so creative and like, that I don't understand, but I'm not supposed to understand. I just enjoy what she does. Eddie and I had this long talk about music, and I'm like, it takes somebody super nutty to make nutty things.
Starting point is 01:21:10 Like, things are just nuttily good. And he's like, no, man, you can make the crazy good stuff unlike anybody else, but be normal. I know you can't. You can't just pick an avenue and be, I'm going to be crazy over here, but I'll be totally normal the rest of my life. but Lady Gaga's nuts but that's what's beautiful about her is that she's nuts yeah
Starting point is 01:21:27 but Bradley Cooper's out of he's like I'm over it Lady Gaga's like can't let it go yeah he's ready to move on from that character yeah see how can he do it and she can't
Starting point is 01:21:36 like he's been acting way longer than she has that's probably part of it too yeah he's been doing it a long time and she really had I mean even when Bobby was talking to him about it
Starting point is 01:21:45 he helped her come into that character and so she's probably what do they call that method acting also I bet she had she was the real star of that movie. Yeah. I would think it was about his and her story together,
Starting point is 01:21:59 but I think she was the bigger star of the movie and even the song. Shal la la la la la la la la la la. That's her mostly. She had to do all the music. Most of it. So in the movie, she's a pop star. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:17 In real life, she's a pop star. So what's she getting out of? But they're also saying she had to have these feelings. for Bradley in the movie and she's still in that. She's still in all of it. That's what she's really saying. She can't get over Bradley. It's not just about her wanting to be that character.
Starting point is 01:22:34 It's loving Bradley. Let her go be nutty she wants. Keep making good stuff. Be nutty. Do all you got to do. We don't appreciate how hard it is to create. Yeah. I wish we would have appreciated me more.
Starting point is 01:22:47 Heather and Georgia, you're on. Hey, Bobby. How are you? Good. What's happening with you? Well, I just wanted to do. to call and you know that you inspire me every day, and I'm actually on the way to buy your book today.
Starting point is 01:23:01 Oh, I appreciate that. Well, thank you for saying such nice things. My book is on paperback as of this week, so it's cheaper now, too, which is cool. And it's smaller. You can have put in your pocket almost. Yeah, your book bag. Yes.
Starting point is 01:23:11 Yeah, what do you live? I live in Deering, Georgia. What part of Georgia is that? What's in there? Augusta, Georgia. Ah, no, we know it well. Yes, Georgia. Masters.
Starting point is 01:23:21 James Brown. Is he from Augusta? Yes. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, I was there, I was dancing with Stars Tour. Dancing my face off on that thing. Yeah, hey, we appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:23:31 Well, thanks for calling. I hope you find something in the book that you like. It's called Fail Until You Don't, for those out there needing a place to find in life. If you're lost. Thank you. I enjoy listening to you every day, and thank you for all you do and how you inspire everyone.

Starting point is 01:27:34 Well I got a good one today As far as country music history goes And I love this segment Because your country music's youngest historian Thank you very much The Bobby Bones show On this day in country music Today in the year
Starting point is 01:27:51 2000 Amazed by Lone Star crosses over from country And becomes the number one pop song Like, period, the number one song. It spent eight weeks at the top pop song. This song was massive. I played it on the radio when I was a teenager.
Starting point is 01:28:10 Massive. The ballad became the first country number one to cross over pop since Kenny and Dolly's islands in the stream in 1983. So it went 1983, Kenny and Dolly. 2000, Lone Star Amazed. And then 2005, Carrie Underwood did it with Inside Your Heaven. So, question. Yeah, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:28:37 Rich was part of the Lone Star, right? Yeah, the bassist, right? Was he part of this? Yeah. At this... Yeah, I think he played it. I think he wasn't singing on that one. Okay.
Starting point is 01:28:47 But I believe so, yeah. Interesting. You can look that up. Listen, look it up. Just to make sure? Just to make sure. I don't be wrong. I want to play it. It's a good song.
Starting point is 01:28:57 It's a great song. I used to do DJ sound on light shows. Like parties, like proms and stuff. Birthday parties? This was the slow dance jam. Like the current slow dance. I'd be all right guys. I don't know why you do what you...
Starting point is 01:29:13 Hey, so what happened with your daughter and the dentist? Oh, well, I guess they were talking to her about flossing, and she said, oh, no, my mom told me not to floss. Oh, she told the dentist she said not to floss. Yes, and I was like, that is not what I told you. I feel like this is one of those things that was, like, lost in translation. Like, I have no idea why she would say that. Or do you think that she knew you told her to floss that she hadn't floss enough?
Starting point is 01:29:40 I mean, I said if you're not going to do it right, you might as well not do it. English is our second language. Right. And I feel like that's a saying that that's a saying. Like, if you're going to do it, do it right. If you're not going to do it, you might as well not do it. Because if you're just going to like take the piece of floss back there and like you're wasting your time, do it right. And she took that as mom said, don't do it.
Starting point is 01:30:03 She really meant it when she said that to the dentist. Yeah, because then, you know, I went and I asked her about it and I said, why would you say that? She said because you did. How did you find out about it? The dentist sent me a DM. Oh. Oh, very nice. 2019, this is how the dentist talks to the parents.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Go ahead. Yeah. So, I mean, what did the DM say? I just thought it was funny. They're like, when did you let you know that, you know, she's saying that you said that not to floss? And I'm sure they were just checking in that, you know, I wasn't really saying that or that I knew that she was saying that. That's why I said. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:36 So then you went back and told your daughter. Yes. And I'm like, that's not what I meant, babe. I was like, you got a floss every day. Every day, you don't have a choice. Are there still any English barriers that you guys mess with? Yes. But I can tell when they learn a new word because they use it all the time.
Starting point is 01:30:50 Or like how what it really means. Like, I've never heard her say jealous before. Now everything is like anything Stevenson does. Mom, he's being so jealous right now. Who teaches her these words? I don't know. I guess she learns them at school. Like I have no idea or a show and then she figures out the meaning.
Starting point is 01:31:07 And then, you know, jealous will be the. word for like the week. And then the next one would be like communication or something, like just a word you don't normally use. We're going to play game coming up in a second. We're going to play name that TV mom. Oh, okay. Famous TV moms. I can do that. We're going to play Name that TV mom coming up. Starting point is 01:32:14 Claire Dumphy. What show is Claire Dumfey on? Oh, I feel like I know this. Claire Dumfie, the TV mom on? Hmm. Dumfie. Oh, is this something lunchbox watch is? Modern family.
Starting point is 01:32:34 Yes, dang it. Did you ever get into that? No, no, but all I had was lunchbox in my brain. And he watches it. I watched the first couple of seasons, and I really liked it. Yeah. I don't know why I got off of it, but it's so good? It's still good

Starting point is 01:33:46 Right Amy Some people say Lois Griffin You're not going to get this one Okay, then Family Guy That's right She got you
Starting point is 01:33:58 Yes I knew Yeah, I just went with What I would Least likely know Wow Punchbox Rebecca Pearson
Starting point is 01:34:07 TV mom What Rebecca Pearson You're gonna hear this And go He should get this Yeah Rebecca Pearson TV mom from what show
Starting point is 01:34:16 Oh man You want to give me a hint like you gave Amy? I just did. You're going to get this and go, oh, which means you watch it. Rebecca Pearson. It's like I gave Amy the hand where I was like, oh, you don't watch this. I watched something with the Pearson's. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:34:30 Wow. I mean, that just gave it away to me. You're walking into it right now. This is the only show that I can think of this. This is us. That's it. I don't watch this. You don't watch this is?
Starting point is 01:34:39 No. I've seen like two episodes. Okay. So you watch it. I watched it like the first two episodes and I haven't watched it since. That's enough. But, hey, I like it. I got it right.
Starting point is 01:34:49 How about Amy? Mm-hmm. Jill Taylor. Home improvement. Yeah. Lunchbox, Skyler White. Oh, yeah. Yeah, breaking bad.
Starting point is 01:35:12 Plutch. Yeah, I wouldn't have gotten that. Yeah, she had a crazy character, too. She was crazy. Was she, though? Yeah. Kind of. Because it was like, the stuff she did after a while was like, what are you doing?
Starting point is 01:35:25 Yeah, but it all got nutty. She just was with the environment. She just with the environment. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Amy, Claire Huxstable, do you know what that's from? Yes.
Starting point is 01:35:37 Go ahead. The Cosby Show? Lunchbox, one final one? Yeah. You'll get this one. Deborah Barone. Oh, everybody loves Raymond. There you go.
Starting point is 01:35:47 Oh, that's one so good. I don't ever watch it anymore. Raymond? Yeah. I still watch it sometimes. They don't have it. I know, but I mean, I don't even, it's just because I'm not on, like, TBS or whatever. It comes on TV land.
Starting point is 01:35:58 I'll watch it sometimes. Oh, that's it? But now? that Netflix, I watch it on my TV and not my computer, I just put it on Netflix and watch the office all through the night. And what gets me in the middle of the night, I go, what's happening? There's nothing on. And it'll be that screen that goes, are you still watching this?
Starting point is 01:36:12 Oh, yeah. Do you want to continue watching? Of course I am. And I'm like, yes, I am. And I'm like, yes, I am. Oh, there you guys. Lunchbox, big winner. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:36:20 Do you want your song? Let me see. Yeah. We know, no matter what. And they stay there. And they stay there. And they stay there. Why your mom?
Starting point is 01:36:36 Because she's a great mom. She raised me well, and we're doing mom games, so might as well say, shout out mom. Shout out to your mom. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So here are some things that you might be saying around your kids that you need to watch. And one of the first things made me think of you, Bobby, because it says, you're amazing. Now, you should tell them that they're amazing, but just not all the time because then it won't mean as much. And it's good to do it when there's a specific reason like they did well on a test.
Starting point is 01:37:06 Yeah, don't waste words. Right. Because then if you ever really do mean it, people will get confused with it. Are they just wasting their words or do they really mean this? I'm a big believer in that. Sometimes overly so. Yeah. But why do you think that reminds you of me?
Starting point is 01:37:18 Because you do that with us. Like, because my love language is words of affirmation. So I thrive off of that. But I had to learn early on that you're not just going to hand out like words that pat me on the back for anything that I've done. Like it's, it's, they're saved for special occasion. Because if I really do mean it, I only say what I mean and mean what I say. Right. So, you know, I even, I can remember being in my kitchen in North Carolina in like 2011
Starting point is 01:37:49 getting an email from you that was really encouraging and awesome. Wow. It should be nicer. No, no. But I mean, I know that you've done it in the mix, but that's how powerful it was because you don't just hand that stuff out. And I remember reading it. I think I even called my mom, shared it with her on the phone.
Starting point is 01:38:06 It made me feel really good. But yeah, you don't just hand that stuff out. And then it means more when you do do it, so much so that I have memories. Yeah, I wrote a whole thing about that. In my last book, it's like, hey, like, if you're always telling people they're good, they can't really trust you if you say they're good. Like, if they go up and they do a public speech and, like, that was good. But if you tell them they're good all the time at everything and they're really not,
Starting point is 01:38:25 how do they don't even believe that? Anyway, that's good. So don't tell your kids are amazing. What else? Right. I'm on a diet. Don't tell your kids you're on a diet. Okay, kids look up to you, and they look to you to feel good about them.
Starting point is 01:38:36 themselves. So if you don't like your body, you're setting them up to have body issues. That said, portion control, healthy eating, and exercise, all good things to talk about. But just not like I'm dieting. And I fully support this because I've even read books like later in life like stuff. If you ever dieted as a teenager, it affects you way later in life and it wouldn't in other ways. And sometimes a lot of people with eating disorders and different things, it's because they started dieting too young because their mom's dieted. Like, we grew up in a Weight Watchers generation, and some of my issues come from my mom being, like, a Weight Watchers person. Anyway, nothing against Weight Watchers. Also, leave me alone.
Starting point is 01:39:17 Oh. I say that sometimes. But we should look for a gentler way to say stuff, especially with kids. Maybe you say something like, I need some me time right now. Can accomplish the same thing, and it's less likely to hurt their feelings. Eddie, are you ever guilty to leave me alone? No, I never say leave me alone. What do you say?
Starting point is 01:39:35 I'll just say stuff like stuff I regret I'll just say stuff like you're annoying yeah probably shouldn't say that one too much yes that's basically like leave me alone I mean this is a different way of putting it
Starting point is 01:39:50 we need to be more kind and it's like you know sometimes I say stuff that I could regret I think it's like I wish I never had you never said that one I know I know a little hyperbole there Amy what I can have the story yeah I have the weirdest things left behind
Starting point is 01:40:05 and Uber. They release their annual list. They do this every year and they put out strange things that people left behind and here's some of them from the top 50. I'm not going to give you them all, but a two-month-old chihuahua. Wow, they left to hide a dog. Oh. A baseball signed by Babe Ruth.
Starting point is 01:40:22 For real for you? Wow, that's worth thousands of dollars. Yeah, you might want to hold on to that. A full set of 18-carat gold teeth? Yeah, I can see that. A full fish tank with fish inside and water. Oh, wow. I just wonder why you're taking that anyway. And then how do you forget? It's big. A bag of long hair.
Starting point is 01:40:39 A what? A bag of long hair with a brush in it that was shaped like a foot. And then 10 pounds of pulled pork. Like there's other food items on here like a turkey, Thanksgiving ham, sausage. So I don't know how you forget your food. And lastly, I just saw a headline and I was like, huh, really? Because a new study found that parents drink less than people without kids. Parents drink less.
Starting point is 01:41:04 Yeah. And I don't. on that list? Yeah, that's what I was wondering, because I feel like I drink more now that I'm a parent. It's not more in, like, more in the night. Save everybody in the bag. I mean, I mean more, like, just,
Starting point is 01:41:19 I need that glass of wine at home at night, not, like, excess. Yeah. But it's like, you know, put home to bed, take a glass of wine, need a bath, something, calm down. Like, so I thought, hmm, and I didn't really do that before we had kids all.
Starting point is 01:41:35 the time. Does a bath calm me down? Yeah. A hot bath gets my heart. Yeah, I mean, it can do that too. But then by the end of it, it's hot, I mean, I think you should get into where it's hot and your heart rate does get up. That's good for you and it helps with the detoxing. But then by the 20 minutes, how long do you take the bath? I do 20 minutes. Yeah, four hours. Well, by the hour four, you should be relaxed. I'm a big prune. All right, is that it? Yep, I made me. That's my pile.
Starting point is 01:41:58 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. There's a bunch of people on this bus They're going through the city And they pull up to a railroad track And there's a car that is broken down Over part of the railroad track
Starting point is 01:42:12 And so the bus is like, oh! And so they have cameras in the bus There's surveillance footage The bus driver goes, we got to get this car out of the track So the bus driver stops the bus, gets out of the bus, walks up to the car And some people that are on the bus Get off the bus, go over to the car
Starting point is 01:42:27 And they pick the car up And move it off the tracks Wow They like, yeah, I'll push it off the track tracks. I had to pick one of the wheels off because it was stuck and then pushed it off the tracks. That's crazy. The unnamed driver of the car thanked the bus and the people from the bus that got off and pushed
Starting point is 01:42:41 the car and said, man, it made such impact on me and I didn't get hit by a train. Yeah. Love it. Isn't that great? And also, what are the odds that when your car breaks down? It's on our railroad track. Right. That's even crazier to me. Of all the places in all the world. Of anywhere your car can break down.
Starting point is 01:42:56 Of anywhere. Of all the million places. On our railroad track. Like a few feet that way or a few feet this way. Like 10 more feet you're off the track. Anyway, I thought that story was really good. It's what it's all about doing nice things when you don't have to. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 32nd Skinny.
Starting point is 01:43:15 Jason Aldeen will be receiving the ACM Artist of the Decade Award at the 54th ACM Awards. He said it's probably one of the coolest awards he's ever been given. I think he's won the entertainer of the year three years in a row. Something like that. Yeah, what else you got? During American Idol auditions last night, Luke Bryan was surprised by his previous Make-A-Wish recipient, Ethan Payne, who showed up for auditions. Ethan was 15 when he first met Luke Bryan at his show and performed on stage with him,
Starting point is 01:43:42 and then last night, they reunited and sang his song together. That's cool. All right, good. What else? Mara Morris may be joining a new female group. Brandy Carlisle and Amanda Shires created a group called High Woman. No official confirmation yet, but Brandy shared a photo on Instagram of the three of them with the caption High Women, and there's photos of Blanche.
Starting point is 01:44:12 them in the studio together. Huh. Which obviously is the play off the highwayman. Oh, I didn't even put that together. Yeah, oh, you didn't? No, that's cool. But then I shouldn't say obviously, like an idiot. No, now we know.
Starting point is 01:44:22 Yeah, don't say obviously. Sorry, my bad, my bad, my bad. Because I still don't know her diggeron. Oh, Willie, Chris Christopherson, Waylon, Connie Cash. Got it. We were the highway, man. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:31 Got it. I think it's kind of, you know, derivative of that. I see that now. Yeah, good. That's cool. What else? And that's it.
Starting point is 01:44:38 I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. The Bobby Bones show Big Three Stories Our producer Raymundo is in the glass room With a stack of news Raymundo, what you got? Yeah, family dollar an ounce
Starting point is 01:44:50 They're going to start to close nearly 400 stores They may price things over a dollar going forward You'll see more and more items like this In other news, Jeopardy host Alex Trebek Reveal you a stage four cancer He told viewers he plans to keep working And finally in Ohio, the last car rolled off the line of General Motors
Starting point is 01:45:07 Which is closing after 52 years, leaving almost 2,000 people without a job. Bobby bones. Yeah. We got a note from our sales staff asking our favorite three Netflix shows. What do they want to do? Sell us Netflix? I'm down with that.
Starting point is 01:45:21 Do you have your list? Yeah. Okay. Your top three Netflix shows at number three. The crowd. Oh, the ground's so good. So good. I can't wait for it to come back.
Starting point is 01:45:30 If it wasn't 100% accurate, it would not be so good because it's slow. But you feel like you're learning while you're following a real live storyline. Who's seen the crown in this room? I have. Yeah, do you love it? So good. Yeah. If it wasn't 100% accurate, would it be so good? So you're saying it's not 100%? Oh. If it wasn't completely true, would you still love it as much? Probably not. I just love the, I mean, the queen's still alive, like, so we know
Starting point is 01:45:54 all this about her. I sort of wish this is how school taught us everything in a Netflix original show. At number two, Amy, your Netflix shows. El Chapo. Wow. I never said. That's the one where they have to do the subtitles, right? Well, no, they dub over in it. They speak over in English. So they're speaking Spanish and their lips or blah, blah, blah, and then they're saying English words. I can't. It's fine.
Starting point is 01:46:16 You get over it. It's good enough. I can't. And that was a one and done, right? Like just one season and. I don't remember. Yeah, maybe. Yeah, one season of El Chapo.
Starting point is 01:46:26 Yeah. We still have the, he's on trial. There's more to come. Yes. Your favorite Netflix show is? Narcos. Dang, girl. Good one.
Starting point is 01:46:35 It's different than El Chapo. Yeah. We're different people. And we had multiple seasons. There's Amy's. Mine are, can I put, I mean, the thing that I watch the most, I'm going to put at number three because it's not a Netflix original. I watch The Office reruns all the time.
Starting point is 01:46:50 It's on my TV all the time. Every day I probably watch six or seven episodes that stay on. So I put the Office reruns up there. Does that count? I mean, yes, because you watch it on Netflix. Okay. My other two are Netflix originals. At number two, I put Black Mirror.
Starting point is 01:47:06 There hasn't been a new season in a while. But I love that show so much. And it makes me feel icky sometimes. That's great, great. But that's life. Yeah. It's so absurd. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:47:15 No, no. Absurd. But all turns true. All that stuff is turning true. Eventually. I mean, maybe. No, no. Some of it already has.
Starting point is 01:47:21 Trust me. You just don't know yet. Number one, it's a new show that just came out on Umbrella Academy. If I were to pick her right now, I loved it. Amy didn't like it so much. Oh, my husband's totally into it. I love it. It's like superheroes, but it's like fighting and it's not so much fighting.
Starting point is 01:47:34 It's just that balance for me. Cool. I really like the point. I like those kind of things where it's like not super absurd, but just kind of absurd. Yeah. But the Umbrella Academy is really good. That's my number one right now. Favorite Netflix show around the room?
Starting point is 01:47:47 If you had to pick one. Morgan number two? Favorite Netflix show? Mind hunter. Oh, that was good. They need a new season. Yeah, it's coming out. Oh, it is?
Starting point is 01:47:56 Yeah. Because at the end, that's when they do the BTK. That's from where you're from. Yep. I really want to see that back. That'll be interesting. Lunchbox's your favorite Netflix show? Oh, easy.
Starting point is 01:48:05 Making a Murderer, Season 1 and 2. It's all good. Yeah, that's like OG too. Eduardo, our video producer? I'm going to have to go Narcos. Narcos? Yes. Come on.
Starting point is 01:48:15 We didn't understand what you said. Did you say narcos? That's how it's pronounced, guys. Narcos. Thank you. That's how he says it on the show. All right. It is good.
Starting point is 01:48:24 I'm still shocked by some people that haven't seen it. There's so much out there. Most people haven't seen what anyone's seen, actually. We do watch a lot of TV on the show. No, we watch the new stuff. I try to keep up with things. Yeah. Yeah, I guess that's why I do it too.
Starting point is 01:48:37 Boom, come on. All right, Stephanie in Oklahoma. Hey, Stephanie? Hi, how are you all? Really good. What's going on? Well, I wanted to get an update on Amy's dad. Last we heard, I think he was in the hospital at Christmas time,
Starting point is 01:48:48 and I'm sure I'm hoping he's better now. That's a good question. Just a quick recap, your dad went in because he had a small throat cancer, right? Yeah. They needed to remove the tumor. And it was going to take how long? Well, recovery. I mean, they removed the cancer back on his feet after like a week or two.
Starting point is 01:49:07 two, then, you know, chemo radiation, done six weeks. But really? Oh, we're still dealing with it. We still have a feeding tube. He's still in and out of rehab. And, yes, caught pneumonia over Christmas because we took him to Colorado because we thought he was better and that was just bad. And then ended up in the hospital for like a month.
Starting point is 01:49:27 I mean, it was only supposed to be like a weak thing and then all of a sudden. Yeah. It's months and months. Yeah. I mean, obviously that's best case scenario where he was supposed to, you know, just remove the cancer and then do some radiation and chemo and hopefully be good. But it's just been really hard. He spent a lot of time in ICU. And so, yeah, now we're still dealing with some stuff. And hopefully he'll get his feeding tube at some points soon. But he did just have a pet scan. What's a pet scan? That's what they
Starting point is 01:49:54 check to see if there's any cancer in your body. So because it had spread to some lymph nodes, once they got into his throat, they realized it was in some lymph nodes, which that means it's spreading, which is not good. And, you know, so they need to monitor it and make sure it doesn't show up anywhere else in the body. And his pet scan was clear. So no cancer in his body
Starting point is 01:50:14 and he doesn't have to go back for another scan for three more months. How about that? That's pretty good, Stephanie, huh? Oh, that's exciting. I'm glad. Yeah. And then I think probably this summer,
Starting point is 01:50:24 he may come move in with us. That's the plan. So he'll be, he lives in Austin right now, but he'll be moving to Nashville and living with us probably. smell behind. Well, there you go. Thanks for asking about the update.
Starting point is 01:50:37 We appreciate that. Thank you. All right, see you later. There you go. That's good news, huh? Yeah, totally. Like I heard that right. Sometimes when you talk about that,
Starting point is 01:50:43 I don't know what's good and what's not. Yeah. No sign cancer is really good. And so we'll just kind of try to just work on rehab and getting them stronger and better. And I didn't know humans did PET scans. So that was confusing to me too. It's like a cat scan, pet scan.
Starting point is 01:50:56 Like, I don't know the difference in those, but that's what they're called. Well? It probably stands for something like, parla-a-a-da. Oh, pal-a-lala. Oh, yes. I think about parol-a-lala.
Starting point is 01:51:07 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me there's something good. There's a cool non-profit organization in MAK in Georgia called the Rooms from the Heart Organization. If you have a sick kid that can't go outside, spends a lot of time in their bedroom, they will come and redo their room to make it the dream room. Since they're going to spend so much time in there, they want them to be, what do you call it? Excited, happy. Good word.
Starting point is 01:51:33 Comfortable? Yeah. But like if you want it like a like a monster car track, they build that. They do whatever you want. I get it. That's cool. That's good. And maybe they'll do, I don't know, what do you call it?
Starting point is 01:51:46 Smile. Hey, this is tell me such a joke. I know. I just don't know what all you want your room, but maybe you want a train track and they put it on the ceiling or they paint balloons on your wall. I don't know, but they will do it for you. Yeah. And it'll make you, what's it, what's it called happy? Heavy, happy.
Starting point is 01:52:03 Yeah. I don't know what happens Come on Amy, go ahead I'm not looking to take a shot at What do you call it You? Oh God With the A maker
Starting point is 01:52:18 All right, that's a good story That is a good story Nice work, nice work, nice work Bobid Bones show Bonehead Story of the day This story comes us from Brookfield, Wisconsin A 57 year old man is facing
Starting point is 01:52:31 Chargers because he was on quarantine He has measles, so he wasn't allowed to leave his house. He's like, man, I really want to go work out at the gym. Hey, wife, I'm going to hide in your trunk, and you drive me to the gym. He had the measles. Yeah, so he got in the trunk, and she drove him to the gym, and he went in and worked out. Unfortunately, there was an off-duty cop that knew he was quarantined, saw him in the gym, busted. I mean, you have to shut the whole gym down for a while.
Starting point is 01:52:53 It was like when someone poops in the pool, right? Oh, yeah. Everybody out. Get it cleaned it up. So weird. Also, a cop knows of the guy with measles. Like, it's that big of a story. I mean, someone's quarantine.
Starting point is 01:53:03 That's him. I mean, so many things about this, like, can you work out from home? Can you get a couple push-ups in the kitchen? Some body resistance. All right. On Lunchbox, that's your bonehead story of the day. Jamie in Arkansas, what's happening? Good morning.
Starting point is 01:53:20 How are y'all? Real good. What's going on? I'm an Arkansas listener, so I just wanted to say Blue Pig, first of all. Awesome. And then I wanted to say my favorite part of the show is definitely the morning. morning corny. I'm a student teacher, so the best part of my day is when I get to tell the tote to my kids.
Starting point is 01:53:39 I don't know if you heard this morning, but we nailed it. We did the investigative corny on Thursdays, and we nailed that we got it right. I did hear. I'm proud of y'all, but I don't think that's one that I can share with my third graders. Oh, yeah. What, getting hammered? The contractor getting hammered? Yeah, I mean, he could get hammered's toe. Oh, that's true. She can't show that with her kids. Yeah, you need one for the kids.
Starting point is 01:53:58 Oh, oh, here we go. Bonus corny. Yeah. Okay, here we go. The Morning Corny. How do bees welcome their guests? How do bees welcome their guests? They buzz them in. Nice.
Starting point is 01:54:14 There you go. That was the morning corny. Hey, no problem. I got for all ages here. Have a good day, Jamie. Amy, what's going on today? What's the day? Thursday, March 7th, 292.
Starting point is 01:54:28 Oh, today is piano and ukulele day for the kids. Man, they're just doing everything. Well, yeah. We start soccer tomorrow. I'm jealous of your kids in all their activities. I had no activities as a kid, so now I'm jealous of your kids. Well, they've had no activities until, like, last week. So now they're like, it's like all the things.
Starting point is 01:54:45 They're like, okay, ballet was last night. We're just trying to figure it out. And, of course, they can quit anytime I'm not trying to overwhelm them. But the problem is the school they're in right now is only three hours long. So this is like their P.E. Like, we have to create things, or they're just doing nothing all day. that's not healthy for their little minds. So today is Music Day.
Starting point is 01:55:05 Do you feel like their English should get better? Yes, 100%. And their tutor said this new program that we have them in, how their education the last couple of months, she has seen tremendous growth. It's been crazy. So, yeah, hopefully we can get them back into school with other friends soon. Like a school school school, like a real school.
Starting point is 01:55:24 A school with other students because, man, they need friends. What do you got going on? Well, today I plan for the first time to drive my exercise bike in my house. Oh. Yeah. My shoulder's been in really bad shape, and I worked out yesterday. Full-on, upper body boxing. I'm a little bit.
Starting point is 01:55:38 My shoulder sore today, but it's not super bad. So I'm just going to ride the bike. But I bought an exercise bike. I'm right at my house. I'm pretty excited about that. It's first time. It's still in there for a week. Oh, well, yeah.
Starting point is 01:55:46 Then it's time. You need to break that in. I'm staring at it. I'm starting to ride. Yeah, we're in going to go. 20 miles? 100. Oh.
Starting point is 01:55:54 No, I'm going to do like probably like half hour or something. That's all programs you get there. Hilly terrain? I don't know. Let's see. You don't start with mountains You don't know You can't get in trouble

Starting point is 01:56:38 Well, we don't know him. Yeah, I do. Well, you do, but no, everyone doesn't know him. All right, search Bobbycast. Trisha Yearwood came over to the house for an hour yesterday. Have a good day, everybody. Bye-bye. Come on, Bobby Bones show.
Starting point is 01:56:50 All right, if you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the drill.
