Starting point is 00:03:12 The Bobby Bones post-show pre-show. We have this text line. They're all show long and people can text us as we go along. And sometimes people, I guess I just get the wrong number. I get random texts like, hey, man, we're looking for you. Where are you? It's like they're looking for like their friends. Morgan number two, you see these sometimes?
Starting point is 00:03:25 Yeah, they're crazy. And sometimes like, hey, we're. We're in Atlanta. We got a rental car. Where are you? So weird. I don't respond. They're texting one number off.
Starting point is 00:03:34 And there have been some listeners that have my number. And they'll be like, they'll text me on my regular phone, my normal phone. Who is this? Do they think I'm just going to answer? You got me. How do they get your number? I have no idea. I had the same number for over 15 years.
Starting point is 00:03:51 Long time, yeah. It's an awesome number, 512. You know what? I just said, I haven't called you in forever. Do you still have like those ringtone? Oh yeah, if you call me, you hear the classical music ringtone. Yeah, okay. And people that call me every the first time, they're like, hey, 2004, you good?
Starting point is 00:04:06 Because I remember you had those, but I haven't called you in years. But it's not even a ringback tone that's cool. Like, you don't call me and, you know, get Old Town Road as it reads. Yeah, I'm going to take my horse to the Old Town Road. You get classical. Mike, you get classical music, like the default setting. Here we go. Yep.
Starting point is 00:04:27 That takes me back. What's my voicemail say? That's full. The older needs to go, hey, this is Bobby. I'm getting a call. I answer it. It's Mike Lee. He used to say, hello, this is Bobby?
Starting point is 00:04:44 Hello? If I block it while I got a voice now? Your call has been forwarded to an automated voice message. Hold on. Oh, it doesn't say Bobby. I thought that you did say that. Maybe I did say this is. I think people were getting my number than realizing that was me
Starting point is 00:05:02 on my voicemail. So you took your voice off? So I took my voice off of it. I think that's what it was. So, but yeah, I'm cool. I'm totally cool, huh? That's old school, man. No, it's still current school.
Starting point is 00:05:14 Yeah, still current school. So anyway, we get a bunch of text messages there. Just that woman who married the ghost of a 300-year-old pirate? What's up? She married a ghost of a 300-year-old pirate. Okay. And she said, well, you know what?
Starting point is 00:05:25 The marriage wasn't great. She says the sex took a toll on her and made her sick. Oh, my gosh. And then when she divorced the ghost, he started to kill her. Oh. There might be something going on there. Who's seen Avengers? Me?
Starting point is 00:05:37 This is not a spoiler at all. Like Chris Hemsworth campaign to keep Thor fat for the next door. He's like, I like to do a whole movie fat because he gets fat in the other one. That was a suit, though, that he wore. Totally had to be, yeah, yeah, yeah. Because he was big. But, I mean, he didn't probably have to stress out about being, like, super fit, you know. I got a tweet last night and I retweeted it.
Starting point is 00:05:56 Someone asked me what clone I wear. You don't? I don't wear a clone since college. Really? Maybe high school. And what was that, cool water? Brute. Brute in the green bottle?
Starting point is 00:06:06 Yeah. I get at Walmart. Straight from Walmart. Yeah, absolutely. I saw, and it reminds me, a kid woke up from a coma after getting a big whip of axe body spray. Who's in a coma for three weeks. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:06:17 Then apparently Ray walked by him. Raymondo. He, like, passed out. He was just covered an axe. He fell into a coma after he fell into a freezing river. But his mom sprayed all around him with axe body spray. And he was like, and he woke up smelling acts. What is that terrible smell?
Starting point is 00:06:36 Here's a story you guys can use on the Soor Losers podcast. You see the guy who got into Browns training camp? No. It's awesome. His name is Damon. He's entering training camp for the Cleveland Browns as a rookie. He hadn't played football since 2016. He got a shot by faking his way into a tryout,
Starting point is 00:06:52 pretending to be a friend of one of the people that worked for the Browns. And so he got in, and then he was pretty good. Now he gets to go to camp. Get out of here. Yeah, when he arrived, he perceived. He pretended to be the friend of Alonzo Highsmith, who works in personnel. They had never met. He played it off just to get to the door.
Starting point is 00:07:08 He was like, hey, what up? And even Highsmith, who he was supposedly new, he was like, what up, what up? Don't really remember this guy. And most guys are always like, hey, they're everybody like. That's what you say, like, act like you're supposed to be there and it should be fine. I don't know if that's exactly the case where that's it. I know. I'm surprised they're like letting him.
Starting point is 00:07:26 But he had the ability and he was good. I know. If he wasn't good, they'd be like, get the head out of your crazy. He then ran a 40 at 438. That's good. And then he also caught some balls, did some return. I wonder if he makes it. He is off for a legit try-out-with-the-browns now.
Starting point is 00:07:40 And so he's probably not going to make it. I would just say that based on the odds of how hard as to make a team. I think rosters are 90 men from this point. And so he's like, hey, he hadn't played in a few years, but good for him. But how cool would that story be? It would be good. There have been some of those. Brock Lusner, remember when he tried to go back and play in the NFL?
Starting point is 00:07:58 Mm-mm. For the Vikings? Right out of, that's where he tried out of college And then he went wrestling But then he went back Oh really? I didn't know that Yeah, and then it was like, I'm going to go play in the NFL again And he didn't
Starting point is 00:08:09 It didn't work out This is Janelle Evans from teen mom What is happening with her? I don't know lunchbox, what's up with her? She lost custody of her three kids Her husband killed their family dog Oh yeah, that's so terrible He said it was attacking the family
Starting point is 00:08:24 And he had to kill it Yeah, I didn't see that part If the dog attacked the kid which he says should I mean isn't that But it's a little small dog I don't think yeah
Starting point is 00:08:38 Well small dogs can bite I don't know Right right right right but He don't believe the story No he's a idiot Oh he is okay Oh he's a bad dude I mean I just felt when I read the headline
Starting point is 00:08:49 I was like oh my gosh This is so terrible Yeah I'm running through headlines real quick Please say don't wear a lanyard in your car because if you wear it, you get choked to death if you get an accident, it could catch and choke you. It can get caught on things. Your lanyard can hold your neck down if it gets caught in the steering one airbag. And so many people drive with a lanyard, I'm sure, because their job requires them to wear one, so they just throw it on their neck.
Starting point is 00:09:11 I don't get on my car without one. No, really? I don't even need one for work, but as soon as I get in, I put it on. It's got all your backstage passes on. From like all these shows in 10 years ago. Finally, unmarried childless women are the happiest people of all, says expert. unmarried, childless women are the happiest people of all, says an expert. They're happy all the way all the time.
Starting point is 00:09:33 I mean, that's fine. I didn't know if we're talking like Morgan number two age where it's like, you know, you're 25. Like, yeah, no kids, not married. Women who are not married and do not have children are the happiest group in the population. A prominent expert in happiness has said. Why? Because there's a lot of social pressure to get married and have kids. But that's not what makes women the happiest.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Oh, what makes us happiest? not having my man all up in yo sh and kids mom mom mom mom is that your kids do mom mom mom mom mom Stevenson started saying mommy the other day
Starting point is 00:10:07 and I don't know where he got it he's never called me mommy but he got home the name was like hey mommy and then we were somewhere and he was like mommy and I'm like stop I mean if he wants to call me that fine but he's never done it before and again I don't know where he picked it up but it creeps me out
Starting point is 00:10:21 like I don't I don't like him calling me mommy but he maybe has never called anyone mom me before, so you kind of have to let him a little bit. Huh? I don't know. That's where I'm like, should I, I don't like it. I would say this to him. I would say, the only person who calls me mommy is your dad.
Starting point is 00:10:37 No. He's going to be like, oh? Yeah. We'll talk about that in six years, son. Yeah, sometimes he calls me Miss Kara and I'm like, what? He calls you the, the, yeah. Your nanny's name? He'll be like, Miss Kara, I mean, mom.
Starting point is 00:10:50 And then I'm like, and I say to him, I'm like, Stevenson, I'm mom. I mean, I know we're all spending, like, a lot of time with him. But, I mean, it's not like I'm not present in his life. So, I mean, I guess he's just, Sachera never does it. He just sometimes does it. And I kind of got on to him one time. Not purposefully, but I reacted like, oh. Like, no, Stevenson, I'm mom.
Starting point is 00:11:12 And so the other day he did it and, like, corrected himself so fast, like he thought he was going to get in trouble. He's like, Miss Kara, I mean, Mom, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. And he covers up, like, a tornado drill. Sorry. He's like, I'm sorry, Mom. I know you're my mom. And then now he's like, Mommy.
Starting point is 00:11:26 I'm like, what is happening? Maybe he's like over a commentating now. Like, Mommy. Yeah. Because he doesn't want to call you Miss Kara. Yeah, I don't know what it is my thing with Mommy. It's so weird at all the Caras. Oh, my dog is Kara.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Your dog is Cara. And then we have Miss Kara. Miss Kara. My ex-girlfriend is your friend is Kara. Kara. I was stalking her Instagram the other day. Oh, yeah. Yeah, I hadn't seen her in a while.
Starting point is 00:11:47 Did you see something new on there? Sort of? No. No. Why? What's, oh. No. No.
Starting point is 00:11:51 I was, I don't know. I was just like. Did she have a boyfriend, Amy? Oh, no, no, does she have a boyfriend? I don't know anything about it. I was just, like, looking. I mean, I don't care if she's up. Because I always check up on people.
Starting point is 00:12:02 She's wondering? No, not even, I don't even know why I was over there. It's kind of like when people just, like, go on Facebook. You don't even know how you got there? I don't. Just followed the wrong path. I don't know. You have to press on things like her.
Starting point is 00:12:14 I know, no, no, for sure I did, but I don't know how I got. I literally don't know how I am. I'm obviously curious, but I check on, I check her page. I check a lot of my ex-girlfriend's pages to see what they're up to. But I'm not embarrassed or I wouldn't have brought it up. Checking that competition. She looks good. Now I'm on her page.
Starting point is 00:12:30 I don't even know how I got here. Yes, so now you understand it. True, true. You know what it was? She is not aged, y'all. I know what it was. I can tell you right now what it was. I wrote a thing for Darius's wife's book.
Starting point is 00:12:45 And part of it was like talking to your younger self about a lot of mistakes that you made. and I went back and looked at a few ex-girlfriends pages to be like, oh man, I had a few of them that were like A-plus, and I was just like checking on them. She wasn't the only one. They were like two or three of them one and looked at, but that's what it was. But just to clarify, the mistake you made was not staying with them?
Starting point is 00:13:08 Not giving it any more of a chance than I did. I messed up like three times with three different girls. I never cheated or anything wrong. I was just like, oh, I just not ready for this. You got to go. But then later in your life, I feel like. Well, later in my life, it wasn't like, oh, that was probably the one.
Starting point is 00:13:23 But it was like, I really should have, like, hung in there just to see. Because anytime anything got close, I was out, man. Yeah. So then you just went back to the page. Just kind of, excuse me. You went back to the Instagram page. What? What?
Starting point is 00:13:36 What? What? What? What? What? What? Yeah, but no, I went over there. Mommy.
Starting point is 00:13:44 What? What? Mommy. All right, we got to go. We have to go take pictures. Don't forget on Friday, we're going to, we're going to, um, sell hats and t-shirts, our Pimp of Joy hats. Yes.
Starting point is 00:13:53 And we're going to build... Camo hats. Like, people have been waiting a long time for these. We're going to build Scotty West, Army specialist. Scottie West, a house. He lost both his legs with the ID. So we're going to do it. We, us, the show, not just the room, but you are...
Starting point is 00:14:08 When we say the show, we mean you. Oh, yeah, it wouldn't happen if it wasn't for you. Are you stalking guys? Caris page now? Yeah, I guess you didn't flip through some of the stuff. That's why I was asking. Oh, I didn't go to, like, everything. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:20 Okay. What's wrong with you? Nothing. She's insinuating. She has a boyfriend. Okay. I hope. Great.
Starting point is 00:14:28 I have no. I didn't flip through it. That's how you can tell I didn't really spend a whole lot of time over there. Well, it's not very obvious. That's what I was making. It was seeing if it was obvious. I just kind of glanced at like some of the pictures. I was like, oh, good.
Starting point is 00:14:39 She's doing good. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Oh, my God. Why is Amy Ragon? I don't know. Okay, go, go, go. We're done.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Oh, my God. Can't even see. This is not a safe space. Amy always in the safe space. It's not a safe space. What has been unsafe right now? Mommy, quit. Okay?

Starting point is 00:19:00 slash Bobby. That's BetterHelp. H-E-L-P.com slash Bobby. Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. It's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Hey, welcome to Wednesday show. Oh, glad everybody's here. More Studio! Morning! This is a fun one. I thought we'd start the show with This Day in Country Music.
Starting point is 00:19:32 The Bobby Vaughn Show. On This Day in Country Music. Back before, he was known as the Old Town Road guy. Did you know Billy Ray Cyrus had a different musical career in country music? No. Like, inky breaking? That's it. Oh, yes.
Starting point is 00:19:48 I was like, is this a trick question? A lot of people may only know him from Old Town Road now. Wow. Yeah. Billy Ray Cyrus scored his first. ever number one on this day in 1992, 27 years ago, with Akey Breaky Heart. And so, there you go. This was a crossover.
Starting point is 00:20:05 This was such a big country song I wanted to pop. And if you tell my heart, my eggy-breaky heart, he might blow up and kill his plan. Number one in 1992, but this song originally was recorded by the Marcy Brothers, and it was called Don't Tell My Heart. Don't tell my heart. And I have a friend who was in this band. You do? In this band?
Starting point is 00:20:33 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And so here's the thing with this song. Purists hated Billy Ray Cyrus because they said he was desecrating country music. But it led the way for artists like Chenaya Twain at Faith Hill, who then had massive country crossover songs. He made them all. And he wore sleeveless shirts. And fast forward to this week. Old Town Road gave Billy Ray Cyrus his first number one since 1992.
Starting point is 00:21:01 Yeah, I'm going to take my horse through the old town road. I'm going to ride till I came no more. I would start off this morning with a little history lesson. Kikia, yeah, Kiyah. So on this day in 1992, 27 years ago, Billy Ray Cyrus has his first number one with Akeye, Breaking Heart. Here's the Bobby Bone Show podcast, highlight, of the day. All right, mailbag time.
Starting point is 00:21:30 Bobby's mailbag. Dear Bobby, I love your mailbag segments and I'd like to know your opinion. I'm 26 years old. I've been dating a great guy for almost two years. His family lives a couple states away. We don't see him much. However, when we do go visit, I hate it. His mother's very controlling
Starting point is 00:21:49 and hard to be around. I'm filled with anxiety and stress the entire time. You know, I've brought this up to my boyfriend and he shrugs it off and says, well, that's just how she is. I'm starting to question our relationship, but the struggle is because, not that I don't love my boyfriend, but because I don't love his parents.
Starting point is 00:22:07 Do you guys think that potential in-laws are a deal-breaker? I'd love to hear what you think. Thank you from Julie. Let's go to Amy. Amy, bad in-laws. Deal-breaker or no? Oh, man, I don't think it's a deal-breaker. I think it's a communication, like, it's an issue,
Starting point is 00:22:24 because stuff will come off in your marriage. I mean, that will become your family and your husband or your future husband has to have your back. Like, you all have to be on the same page. So it's an issue, but not a deal breaker in my mind. And a hard issue. I feel so thankful and blessed that my in-laws are awesome. But I have friends whose in-laws are a nightmare and it causes tension in their marriage big time. And I'm like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:22:56 I mean, I don't envy that. But it's not a deal breaker because, I mean, my friends would still stay married to the person, but it's just like an extra in your relationship. I mean, because that is his mom. Okay, so my turn. It is absolutely not a deal breaker. They live two states away. Who gives a crap?
Starting point is 00:23:11 You can deal with twice a year or three times a year for the other 362 days a year or so that you get to be with your boyfriend or husband. It's not a deal breaker. No. You have to let it be known that you're not feeling that. Have you ever not? liked and the they weren't in-laws for you but your girlfriend's family have you ever been like nope yeah they're yeah nope have you ever gotten to know them now we're talking now you've hit the right
Starting point is 00:23:42 vein Bobby's like no they're great what were their names mr and mrs girlfriend I don't I yeah some more than others a bit I've never had a problem with them yeah he's never gotten to that point. So I say it's not a deal breaker. Lunchbox, you're up. Ooh, I mean, my in-laws are fine. I mean, my mother-in-law can be kind of in our business and kind of annoying, and she flirts with me a lot, makes it a little uncomfortable. But I don't if they live states away like my in-laws do, you don't have to see them like you said, but a couple times a year. So who cares? But you can put your foot down and tell them, listen, this is how it's going to be. And they have to respect that because, you know what,
Starting point is 00:24:23 or else they're not welcome at your house. They're not welcome at your house. I think that would cause a problem with the boyfriend slash husband. Your mom can't come over. I think we're all going to sit kind of in a similar position on this, that you shouldn't let this ruin a relationship because great relationships are so hard to find, especially if you found someone that you committed to.
Starting point is 00:24:42 And I'll ask, is anyone think it's a deal breaker at all? Anyone? Yeah, I don't think any of us do. It's just how you handle it. By the way, you can call us, too, if you want. Because James is on in Tennessee, by the way. James, you heard this. What you think?
Starting point is 00:24:57 James. Yes. What are you thinking about this, bud? It's not a deal breaker. I've been married for 18 years and I hadn't seen my in-laws in 15. See? That's probably why. You don't have to see them so you have to worry about it, right?
Starting point is 00:25:15 And they only live five miles from me. Oh, boom. Got them. Yeah. Wow. Is it because you didn't get... Is it because you guys don't get a lot? She's going to see him.
Starting point is 00:25:26 Her mother doesn't like me. Her dad, he goes along with what the mama said. Yeah. So, I mean, I just don't go around them. And we get along fine. Me and my wife do fine. All right. How about this?
Starting point is 00:25:41 Here's David, though. I guess David kind of disagrees. David, deal breaker to you? It is a deal breaker because when you marry someone, you marry their entire family. Do you, though? No, you don't. Not really.
Starting point is 00:25:54 Again, I had never been married. You're talking to a guy. I'm single, no kids. Is he married, the caller? I am married. Okay. And you say, so you married the entire family? Wow.
Starting point is 00:26:05 How big a ceremony was that? So my wife has one sister, and she had two kids, and then obviously she has her mom and dad. So, smaller family. And you all get along? We all get along. Amazing. We're actually, we're probably over at my in-laws house. at minimum once a week
Starting point is 00:26:25 and now that with the summer with the school open we're over there probably three days a week and we actually work at the same place. Oh my goodness. That's a lot.
Starting point is 00:26:35 I think if this email writes in as they live across the street then it's a deal breaker. It's a whole different story. Yeah, I do think it's a different story but I would say it's not don't let this be the deal breaker. And for once the whole show agrees
Starting point is 00:26:45 unless you're just looking for reason to get out. If that's the case, well, have added. I read a mailbag. submission earlier where they're like, hey, I hate my in-law. Is that a deal breaker? And most of us feel like, no, it wasn't. Some callers said yes it was. But here's Savannah in Austin. Hey, Savannah. How's it going? Pretty good. What do you think about this? Well, me and my husband will be together 10 years in October, and his mom is not easy to handle. Let's just say that, to say the least.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Oh, to say the least even. I don't think it's a deal breaker. Do you have conversations with him about how much you don't like her? Oh, all the time. And what does he say? I mean, he's like, I told her she was crazy when we started dating. And did he? He did, yeah. I knew what I was getting myself into.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I just didn't really understand the full spectrum. And what is the full spectrum? I mean, she just makes sure to tell me how bad I'm doing as a mom every chance she gets. And make sure to tell me how great John is doing as a dad. But it's fine. I mean, I understand she's got her own kind of thing. You just have to understand that not everybody. just the kind of people that you like,
Starting point is 00:27:55 as long as you can understand that some people are different than you, it's fine. If you love the person, their parents shouldn't be an issue. That would be tough. That would be so hard. So you're a bad mom, huh? I'm a terrible mother. My kids are awesome.
Starting point is 00:28:11 Savannah. Every waking second with my kids. Well, thank you for the call. Thank you for sharing your story with us. That's really nice to be to give us a call. Kim in Arkansas. You're on. Hey.
Starting point is 00:28:21 Hey. It's not. A deal breaker, I've been married to my husband for almost 28 years. My in-laws live next door to me, and my mother-in-law absolutely hates me. Wow. So, I mean, it's doable. I mean, it just depends on how much you love your spouse or whatever. But, like, my mother-in-law told a friend of mine that my dad paid my husband to marry me.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Oh, is that true? Yeah. 20 bucks, 20 bucks and a case of whiskey. Oh, that she said? Yeah. She told somebody that is a friend of mine that my dad paid my husband $20 in case of whiskey to marry me. My husband doesn't even drink. And you're saying that's not true, though, because I heard the same thing.
Starting point is 00:29:09 Oh, no. It's not true. Well, listen, I appreciate your call. That would just be tough. Anybody you're close with, if they're difficult, that would just be tough. I don't know if it were me. I'd never been married. I can't imagine what that would be like.
Starting point is 00:29:25 I would just cut them out completely. It's so hard, though, especially when you add kids into the mix, and that's their grandparents. I cut the kids out, too. Family gatherings and, oh. Yeah, that would be tough. Hey, thank you for all the calls. Let me do one more. This is Ashley.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Hey, Ashley, thank you for calling the show. Hello. What do you think? Well, I think that it has to be the spouse that puts the boundary on their parents. Because at the end of the day, their parents raised them. And they have to be the one to stand up to their parents. And at the end of the day, you're their choice.
Starting point is 00:30:02 And so you're a their family now. And it's never going to work if you stop because you stand up and say, hey, this is my choice in life. Yeah, there you go. I appreciate that. And sorry, the phone's crackling out again. You know, they really give us a state of the yard. Top of the line.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Well, you know, there's no. From phone lines. to not having a speaker in my office, they really hook it up around here. We're in the middle of a transition. Thank you for that call. Bobby Bone's show. Big three stories.
Starting point is 00:30:34 Remember we know what you got. In TV news, Jeopardy Champ James Holsauer closed in on the all-time record. He now has 2.2 million. The all-time record, Ken Jennings, with 2.5 million. In other news, a large and dangerous tornado

Starting point is 00:34:51 I mean, I guess so, is it live? Uh-huh. Oh, okay. Oh, yeah, I'll watch it, but... Nick Walinda and his family, aren't they like the flying Walindas or something? Do they have a name? They're going to walk across Times Square on a high wire. And it's him and his sister.
Starting point is 00:35:11 And so they'll be the first high wire act to walk across. I guess somebody fell in 2007. Ugh. The never-before attempted walk we broadcast live on TV and a TV. two-hour special on ABC. Back in 2012, Nick Willenda walked a wire 1,800 feet above Niagara Falls. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:35:29 And the next year, he walked across the Grand Canyon without a harness. The live event will be on a short delay. Yeah. In case. Yeah. So is there a chance that... Well, that's the...
Starting point is 00:35:40 Here's the thing. That's why we watch, right? No. Yes. Yes. Sure, why else would we watch? To watch him make it? No.
Starting point is 00:35:48 If there was a net right under him, we wouldn't watch it. Exactly my point. If there was a net right under him, we wouldn't want, Amy, you wouldn't give a crap at all. Still impressive. So would you watch it on network TV? Okay, fine. But, I mean, I want him to make it. Okay, but now I'm going to read you this line.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Special safety features will be put in place for the attempt. What does that mean? That makes you not want to watch it as much. No, not really. Because we don't want to see him fall, but we want there to be the danger of him falling and beating it. Oh, like if he falls to play the parachute? I don't know. Carl Willenda, who is the great-grandfather,
Starting point is 00:36:23 tried to walk between two 10-story hotel towers and it was on TV and he fell. He died. Wow. They have also suffered in 1962. Other family members did this and fell. Wow, so this is just in their blood. They should probably find a hobby.
Starting point is 00:36:38 It's like a family. A new job. Right. Well, the thing is, if there's a safety harness, nobody cares. You don't want them to fall. but it takes away why we would even watch it. Yeah. Does everyone agree with that?
Starting point is 00:36:53 Yes, 100%. Do we know what it says, here, this is what it says. Maybe we can find out exactly what this means. Special safety features will be put in place for the attempt. Oh, firefighters below with a net. A trampoline thing? Well, like a trampoline thing. You know, it's not guaranteed they're going to be able to get him, but maybe.
Starting point is 00:37:11 You know, like they run around. Like, we don't want him to fall or them to fall. We don't. No. But it's the risk of it that makes us watch it. Correct. Mike is going to show me. Did you find out what the safety?
Starting point is 00:37:22 Oh, he's going to wear a harness. He's in a weight belt. Like we used to wear out through the football. If that's the case, nobody's going to watch this show. Nobody wants him to fall, but everyone wants him to beat the chance that he could fall. Anyway, it's coming on TV if you want to watch it. On ABC. June 23rd, on ABC.
Starting point is 00:37:43 I mean, everybody should watch this. This is my network. Yeah, that's about it. It doesn't matter. Bobby, are you hosting? Bobby's doing interviews before and after. Rap him and bubble wrap. We don't care.
Starting point is 00:37:56 Let's all just tune in and watch it. Anyway, I saw that. Also, let me recommend one other time. There's this podcast called Get Real where Caroline Hobby talks to the wives of country stars, and she's talking to the wives of Philip Sweet, who's from Little Big Town. And, you know, she was talking about how this one woman
Starting point is 00:38:13 flashed on stage. One time he got flashed and I was pregnant and I was like, oh, God. Yeah, and he was like, babe, she is a mother and her kid was next to her. Like, he like puts it in perspective. A mother flashed him with a kid next to her? Yeah, girl, it was a Harley Davidson like show. Oh, gosh. That makes it.
Starting point is 00:38:34 Oh, Harley Davidson. Okay, yeah, course, go ahead, go ahead. Karen's definitely a boss and a leader and very strong and Kimberly is like honey and so sweet and all of them. And Jimmy's like a big brother to me. I mean, we all love each other, and our kids think they're siblings. Actually, the girls used to tease Kimberly and I that we separated them at birth. They thought they were twins. They would tell people that.
Starting point is 00:38:56 And you can listen to this podcast and others where she talked to a lot of the wives of country stars. It's called Get Real, G.E.T. Real with Caroline Hobby. Wherever you listen to your podcasts, I find that. The one with Thomas Brett's wife is really good, too. Yeah, Lauren Aiken's, that was good. We're going to probably hit him up about that on Friday. Oh, for sure. Because she set some stuff on it where he was like, yeah, Thomas got me on the porch and was like,
Starting point is 00:39:15 Kiss me now or we'll never be together. Something like that? I dare you to kiss me. So he'll be on Friday. We'll ask him about that. Let's get a lunchbox update on his high school reunion. How long till? It's June 8th.
Starting point is 00:39:30 So we're looking less than two weeks, I think, or a week and a half, something like that? 20 years. And you're looking to make a splash. I mean, I'm looking to turn heads when I walk into that place and I show up. I want people to be like, dang! He arrived in style. So he called to try to rent a Lamborghini, and it was, thousands of dollars just to rent a Lamborghini.
Starting point is 00:39:49 And then he was going to rent a Tesla. But Brooklyn Decker, who is a friend, she's an actress and a model, she was like, hey, you can borrow my Tesla. Absolutely. And the debate was, does he drive the Tesla and act like it's his, or does he go and be like, oh, I borrowed Brooklyn Decker's Tesla? But the update is that she said you can't drop her name. Yeah. It's like a letdown. She says, if you can drive the Tesla and not use my name, you can use it.
Starting point is 00:40:15 So now I'm like, I'm back to square one because... What? No. You have a Tesla. Yeah, you're not back to square one. Just like, don't name drop. You have a Tesla. It's great. It's not a let down.
Starting point is 00:40:24 The story's even better to let people know that I'm friends with a huge celebrity. Don't you think, though, that most people that will be at that reunion would know what you're doing now, like on the show? No, I understand they're going to know what I'm doing, but do they know that I hang out with Brooklyn Declor? You don't. You don't hang out with her. I mean, and because you talk about it like this, also, they're going to know that's not your Tesla anyways. Right, right. No, that's okay, but I'm saying the people that don't know, there may be people that live where we're not on the air. They're not going to know that that's Brooklyn Decker's Tesla. And the whole coolness of it is letting people know, hey, yeah, don't worry about it. When I'm in town, Brooklyn lets me drive her car, no big deal.
Starting point is 00:41:00 Is that a thing you'd want people to know that? You don't think so. Like, regardless of who it is. Are you kidding me? Like, if you're in Italy and George Clooney leaves a car for you at the airport, you're not going to be like, oh, yeah, George just leaves me as Lambo at the airport. I mean, that's what you want. I've never been to Italy. What is this example? I mean, isn't there where him and a molly live? I don't know. I don't know. Is that even how you're saying about Molly?
Starting point is 00:41:23 Or are you confusing that to Molly? I think it's a mall? I think it's a mall. A mall. Well, listen, she has told you that you can't drop her name, but you can use her car. Yeah. Which is awesome. No, it's awesome, but it's only half the equation.
Starting point is 00:41:39 So I got to decide, is it worth not dropping the name or do I go a different route and try to find another celebrity in Austin. Now you've decided not to worry about the car. She's going to retract her offer if you're just like grateful. You're going to have no car and no celebrity. There's other celebs in Austin that will let you borrow a car. Who? Maconohe.
Starting point is 00:41:58 Maconohe. How are you going to reach out to Matthew McConaughey? Twitter. Okay. He probably does not. Who knows? He probably rides a bicycle. He drives a Lincoln.
Starting point is 00:42:06 Yeah, he drives a Lincoln. Yeah. It's on the commercial. He probably has a petty cab. Let's find the drives up and on Lincoln. And listen, Lincoln's are nice. They're so nice. No one would believe that's Matthew McGone's Lincoln.
Starting point is 00:42:18 Yeah. Why don't you just get a Lincoln and say it's Matthew McGonnell's Lincoln? How are they going to check you? That's a good point. That's a great point. But I want it to be true. I want the story to be true. I don't want to lie to my classmates.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Yeah, Lance Armstrong. Go ahead. Kinky Freeman. Rick Perry. Who else? Who else lives in Austin? I mean, there has to be other celebrities that live there. All right, so what are you going to do if today was the day?
Starting point is 00:42:44 I'd have to say Brooklyn thanks, but no thanks. So you're not even going to use the car? If I can't use her name, what's the point? The point is you were just looking for a car before she offered it up. I know, but then once it was a celebrity that offered it up, I wanted to use her name. But you don't even know another celebrity. Do you haven't? Oh, who's that guy even?
Starting point is 00:43:03 Oh, will he be at your high school union, McCadbrooks? I don't know if he'll be there. Is he a celebrity? Yeah. He's on Supergirl. What was he on when you start? Desperate Housewives. That's right.
Starting point is 00:43:14 He used to talk about her. He was in Glory Road, the movie. I mean, he's making a name for himself out there. Oh, Michael Dell. He lives there. Oh. Okay. Tweet some celebrities.
Starting point is 00:43:23 There we go. Probably as a Prius. See if you can get a car from a celebrity. Okay. Why don't you just go as yourself and not worry about having to like... No, I am going as myself, but I want to arrive in a style. And now that the celebrity aspect of it, I want to arrive in a celebrity's car. He wants to arrive in a style.
Starting point is 00:43:38 Oh, wait. Does Dan rather live in Austin? I think Chuck Woolery does. He does. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Tom was on vacation down in Tampa, Florida.
Starting point is 00:43:53 He's walking down the street with a friend when he collapses, goes unconscious. And this lady's walking by her name's Sandy. She goes, hey, I've taken a CPR class before. Never done it in real life. Drops down. Starts giving him CPR. Boom, boom, boom. Brings him back to life.
Starting point is 00:44:09 And what's crazy is, she happens to be on vacation in Tampa too. and they're from the same city. I love that. Oh, my goodness, he better be buying her dinner once a week. So, if you just saw somebody drop down beside you and, like, pass out, that's random, right? Like, she just sees him drop. Yeah, she doesn't know him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:28 I mean, obviously, I try to call 911. I mean, I'm calling 911, but then I would have to move into action myself. I wouldn't know what I was doing. But would you try anyway, even if you didn't know? Yeah, I just would hope I'm making. I'm not making the situation worse Because if I do start Doing any sort of chest compressions
Starting point is 00:44:49 Or anything like, what if What if I What if that makes it Something go wrong Like I break a river Would you start? Would you start yelling for help? Yes. Just a lot of things that you would do in that situation.
Starting point is 00:45:01 She obviously had training Which she had never used But she had training. Did you know mouth to mouth Is it even a thing anymore? Supposedly? Really? I don't think they do mouth to mouth anymore
Starting point is 00:45:07 I think it's just all chest compressions Like for normal folks So, yeah And then they end up in the same. town. Who knew? They're from the same town. You're going to check and see if they have a DNR bracelet. What if they have a do not resuscitate and you resuscitate? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:22 I only think of that because my dad's girlfriend wears one. Like she literally, if you were to give her chest compression, you would break her whole rib, like all of them. So she's like, just don't. Please. She's 83. She's like, it's fine. She's like, we're all good here. We're all got it. We're all square. Wait, wait. So if someone fell and they passed out, but they had a do not resuscitate necklace or bracelet.
Starting point is 00:45:44 You're not supposed to resuscitate. You just want it. I don't know. You just walk away? Or what if that was just a, what if that was like a bracelet they have with their. You do the old town, old town of a whistle? Look at the birds. But then what if it's DNR, like, that's the initials of their grandchild.
Starting point is 00:46:01 And you're like, oh. Oh, boy. I don't know. Listen, it's a tell me something good. Lives were saved. Training was had. And we have a good story here. And that's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:46:12 That was Tell Me Something Good Lobby Bones show Boney up the day This story comes to us from Illinois An 18 year old man broke into a house And he found a couple guns He's all excited
Starting point is 00:46:24 He's handling the guns And then boom Actually shoots himself Through the left hand So then he has to call 911 From the house And say hey I broke into this house I was stealing some guns
Starting point is 00:46:34 And I shot myself Oh I mean do you have to disclose that Can you just say shop myself? Well I'd probably leave the house Because this is bonehead He's making bad decisions. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:43 I'd probably get out of the house and then call and I want to be like, somebody shot me. I don't know where it came from. I was just over here at the soup kitchen volunteering. And someone shot me in the hand. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I saw a guy too. I'm not sure what town it was.
Starting point is 00:46:55 He was walking into a Lowe's, I think. And he had a concealed license. And he shot himself. Went through it like his groin. So he was allowed to carry. He went through all that training and still didn't turn the safety off. And then groined himself. I'm much, my.
Starting point is 00:47:10 I can't see you roll your eyes, Amy, when they're. Not in the room. Oh, sorry. I was rolling my eyes, everyone. I'm lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:51:19 All right, we're going to play name that sound, where I'll just play you a sound, see if you can guess what it is, right? It should be very easy. For example, what does that sound like? A hair tremor. Yeah, hair clippers, hair tremors. I would accept it that. Okay. All right, you're on the car with somebody right now.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Play alongside. Make a little coffee bed or something. No money wagering, though. It's illegal in some states. No money wagering. All right, so I'll play you a sound. Just name the sound. This simplest game.
Starting point is 00:51:49 Are you ready? Here we go. Name this sound. Can you name that sound right there? Five more seconds. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in for the win.
Starting point is 00:52:20 Amy? Sharpening a knife? Sharpening a knife? Lunchbox. I got a knife on a cutting board. Eddie. There's definitely a blade in there, but I put paper cutter. A paper cutter.
Starting point is 00:52:29 What's a paper cutter? Like that thing where you go, it looks like an axe down on paper. It is a saw. I'm sorry. It's somebody sawing. Oh. Okay, nailed it. I'm not good at that one.
Starting point is 00:52:38 All right, all right. Name this sound. I'm in. I'm in for the wind. Amy? Wheat eater. Lunchbox? Weed eater.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Eddie? That's a weed eater. You're all right. That is a weed eater. Nice work. All right. Name this sound. Can you name that sound right there?
Starting point is 00:53:15 I'm in for the wind. Yeah. All right. Pink Floyd? All right. Amy? A cashier? Cash machine.
Starting point is 00:53:28 Lunchbox? Cash register. Eddie? Cash register. You're all right. There you go. Name this sound. If you miss now, you're out.
Starting point is 00:53:43 What? Yeah. Can you name that sound? I'm in for the win. Yeah, man. I got it. Yeah. Who doesn't know that one?
Starting point is 00:53:59 Anybody need to answer? Okay. What do you have? Rain boots. Rain boots. Whoa. Lunchbox. It's a mop.
Starting point is 00:54:08 Oh, is it? What? Eddie? I put walking in water. Oh, I know. The occupation is that. What is rain boots? Someone that...
Starting point is 00:54:20 Let me listen to how this would be a rainboots all that. Yeah. It actually could be someone walking in rainboots. Yeah. I wouldn't even say puddles. I would say like walking in... Oh, I was picturing like, yeah. Yeah, like a swamp or...
Starting point is 00:54:35 Like the bio. Yeah. Yeah, waiters. So do you all get it? No, no. You guys walk. You guys lost, he won. All I do is.
Starting point is 00:54:43 And they stay there. And they stay there. That guy. He's up. He's awake. He is awake for sure. Here you go. Say, if you're going to name this one, I hate to waste some of these.
Starting point is 00:55:10 Could you have named this one? Yeah. Come on. It's a protractor. It's handcuffs. Handcups. Or a protractor. There you go.
Starting point is 00:55:26 That's good. The Bobby Bones show. is to build Army specialist Scotty West a house. He was in Iraq, he was serving. He lost both legs due to an IED, and he's back home in Fayetteville, Arkansas, but he's renting a place, he's got a newborn, and so we're going to help him out.
Starting point is 00:55:44 That's the deal. That's what we're going to do. So we are putting our camouflage hats that say, Pimp and Joy on them, up on Friday at 10 a.m. Central Time. Now, we don't keep any of the money. And again, our big goal, and I think we can really make a difference,
Starting point is 00:55:57 is to actually build him a house. So we're trying to help out a hero. Friday, 10 a.m. Central, all the stuff goes up. And there's apparently a whole line of stuff too. It's the patriotic Pimp and Joy line, so it'll be something that can go towards something really amazing, helping a hero, but also you'll get in time for Fourth of July. And you can wear it proudly knowing that it made a difference.
Starting point is 00:56:15 Yep. So that's our goal as a show on Friday. Army Specialist Scotty West from Fayville, Arkansas. We are going to try to build him a house. So hopefully you can take part of you can't. We get it, but we love for you to. So by this point, everybody knows this song I think this version is bigger than without Billy Ray Cyrus at this point
Starting point is 00:56:39 So Billy Ray Cyrus gets on this track The song's massive It's like, is it country, is it not country, whatever But did you know that it went to a country artist before Billy Ray Cyrus? I did not Well, so Jake Owen and Lil Nas X did it together But Jake didn't sing it, he like wrapped it. in the middle instead.
Starting point is 00:56:59 So here. Same intro as the original. Apparently, Jake said he put a, like, a reference to me in this two. Hey, gave me a shout out. So we know this, right? Yeah. So instead of singing it, though, Jake comes in with this. I got jog guns in a rack. Got four by fours with stags.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Blue Bobby on a porch. He smoked home all by the pack. I got chicken in the yard. Keep my ammo in the barn. Snake skin on my boot. Get lit up on the farm Take a little sit up of something Pull the jack, throw it back
Starting point is 00:57:39 Just like that It don't Apparently that was The version before the Billy Ray version Tell me nothing And those lyrics are unique to Jake Because they're not in the Nobody, he doesn't say giddy-y-o
Starting point is 00:58:23 About my way No It would have been interesting either way Yeah We only know the way we know Because that's the way we know That's right but that's kind of interesting.
Starting point is 00:58:34 Yeah. I'm going to tell you who I got that from because I probably get in trouble. Did Jake write that part? I don't know. Huh. I would assume yes. I would assume yes.
Starting point is 00:58:44 And he wasn't talking about you. No, no way. He wasn't talking about. It sounded like Bobby. Yeah, Bobby on the porch. Yes. But I think it was like smoking cigarettes. But that was like smoking palm malls or something.
Starting point is 00:58:54 It's like that's not Bobby. I was totally name jacked me though. Okay, okay. I got job guns in a rack. Anyway, that's the original remix. That never saw the lie today. Huh. Isn't that interesting?
Starting point is 00:59:04 That's quite the exclusive. Thank you very much. Like no one else has that. That's cool. Thank you very much. Right. Thank you very much. You want to play it again?
Starting point is 00:59:11 Yeah. The real version? Yeah, because I want to hear the words more. On which version? No, you stopped playing the Jake Owen one again. No, I'm going to play the real one. Oh, I wanted to hear the Jake one. Okay.
Starting point is 00:59:21 I'll play it for you off the year. Okay. The Bobby Bones show. Here are your biggest songs in country music right now. At number three, Kelsey Ballerini. It's called Miss Me More. Miss you Miss you
Starting point is 00:59:38 But I miss me more I miss my own At number two Morgan Wallin Whiskey Glasses I'm a niece whiskey glasses Because I don't want
Starting point is 00:59:48 to say the truth And Kane Brown At number one Good as You I just want to Wake up every day You love that song Right
Starting point is 00:59:56 I love it Yeah Me too I love it Never leave I love you Left on Sin The number one
Starting point is 01:00:04 Alternative Song is called Barry a Friend from Billy Eilish. I remember the hatchet up where you find right mom. The dead I owe got to sell my soul.
Starting point is 01:00:14 Are you Billy Elishing at all? I know. A couple months ago I was like, this is the one. I remember that. I remember. This is the artist. It's going to be the next big thing.
Starting point is 01:00:23 Yes. But she's all over pop and alternative. She's like 17, right? Is she 17 now? Like, if she's 17, she's just 17. Meaning she's, I think she was 16 last year, which is how age works. Which for the other.
Starting point is 01:00:34 It makes sense. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And number one urban song Yeah, I'm going to take my horse through the old town road And in my heart, number one country song too Can we stop it with people boycotting Rangler? Because this is how this is working, right? So Rangler signs L'Naz-Ex and goes, hey, be one of our spokespeople.
Starting point is 01:00:58 And then there are a few people that listen to Country people like, we're boycotting. So then it turns into a story. TMZ is like, all country fans are boycotts. Which is not true. That's not true. It's not. We talked with this on the show last week,
Starting point is 01:01:11 but you can't let our very small group represent all of us. I'm playing the song on the radio. I don't care who they signed to where, if you like Wrangler, wear Rangler. Yeah. Like, John Pardy's not going to work
Starting point is 01:01:25 with Rangler anymore because of L'Naz X. It's just, I don't like how sometimes they characterize all country music people as being against this or for this. We're all normal. people. Different ideas, different minds. We just love country music. And my favorite country song? This one. Yeah, I'm going to take my horse to the old town road. And this one.
Starting point is 01:01:45 I just want to wake up every day here in this bed. I also think the media looks to hate on country music. I think they look for reasons to go like, we told you this is stupid. Yeah, stop. I am stupid, but not for the reasons that they have me down for. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So in New Hampshire, there's a road called Old Town Road.
Starting point is 01:05:55 So naturally, people are shooting their own little horse music videos on Old Town Road. Yeah, I heard that it's so over on, people shooting their amateur rap videos. Yes. So the police department sent out a message saying, please stop taking your horses down our Old Town Road. This quiet neighborhood is not suitable for filming your amateur rap videos. But we would all go take Instagram pictures there if there was an Old Town Road near us. Oh, for sure.
Starting point is 01:06:25 And I think there are Old Town Road in a lot of places. Okay, I was wondering if this is the one. No, there are a few Old Town Roads. Just have heard people talk about their version of Old Town Road. But it's funny that so many people are going to Old Town Road now to take pictures and shoot, you know, fake rat videos. All right, what else, Amy? So I know, Bobby, yesterday you were talking about your party that you had at your house or your, sorry. It was a get together.
Starting point is 01:06:45 Hang out. Get together. And then, you know, it had a start time and you're like, why is everybody showing up so late? And you show up to party so early. But I saw this thing on. No, I show up to parties on time. No, early. I showed up to yours early because I was going to help you get ready.
Starting point is 01:06:57 Oh, that's nice. I was like, do you need me to do anything. Okay. So I saw this thing on arrival etiquette. Arrival etiquette. Yes, it says here, being on time is not a good thing when you're a party guest. Etiquette experts suggest that you arrive
Starting point is 01:07:10 fashionably late, like 10 to 15 minutes. Why? Your host will probably be super busy before the guests arrive. A good host will be ready at the time. Obviously, if it's a wedding or something, like that's an exception. Get there early. But like if they're having people over, yeah, they're probably running around. And I guess if you're going to
Starting point is 01:07:26 get there like Bobby, then yes, help out. Because clearly the host is running around. Just in general. Get places. whenever it's time to get places. That's all. It says, I did this, I told you, I wrote this whole thing. And one of my keys to a kid was
Starting point is 01:07:41 trust the process of getting places on time. Okay, I get it for like work. No, for all things, all things. All things. Just get there on time, all the time. If you're late occasionally, that's okay because something happens. But get there all the time.
Starting point is 01:07:55 Thank you. Okay. So the Brady Bunch House Renovation is complete. HGTV brought the six actors. who played the Brady kids in and gave them areas of the house to oversee and work on. So with the help of, you know, the networks,
Starting point is 01:08:09 home improvement stars and blah, blah, blah. Drew and Drew and his twin brother. Oh, the property brothers? They did it. Yeah, they did. I saw them in the... I'm friends with one of them on Instagram. Drew.
Starting point is 01:08:21 I'm not even sure which one I'm friends with. He's so close. And I know, I know. He was like, Drew and Dad. Clearly it's Drew your friends with. Jonathan. I think Drew is the one I know because he did dancing with the stars.
Starting point is 01:08:32 He's one of the ones that got me to do that show. So this is pretty cool, and the full reveal will be in September on HGTV, but so far it looks like they nailed it. And even the floating staircase is there. So I started to think, like, of all, like the shows we grew up watching, like, is there a house that you would choose, like, to live in and be yours? Fresh Prince, Mansion. Oh, good call. I didn't even think of that one, but that's such a good call. Uncle Phil's house, of course.
Starting point is 01:08:57 And who's the boss had a pretty nice house. Oh, yeah, I think about that one all the time. Any time where they have one of these where, like, the person goes has to live with somebody rich, I like those houses. It's not happening on Fresh Prince and who's the boss. It was like, man. Yeah, it was good. I like the full house house. You don't like the Golden Girls house?
Starting point is 01:09:14 Yeah, it was in Miami. Yeah. It was near the Florida. But fun fact, that house was really in California. Right. But they acted like it was in Florida. All of those places. Like, for example, the stuff like the office.
Starting point is 01:09:27 Like the office building, that's in California. The exterior shots? It's in California. I read this whole BuzzFeed article. No. I read this whole BuzzFeed article where they showed all the outside and all the scenes were shot and most of them were shot. Wow.
Starting point is 01:09:40 And we're taken in California. Oh. Well, the Breaking Bad one, that one's really in. Yes. Is it really in Nevada or New Mexico? New Mexico. Oh, New Mexico. Albuquerque.
Starting point is 01:09:49 Yeah. But did they shoot the scenes there or did they just shoot the exterior's there? Don't know. They may have shot it. Listeners always tweet in. They're just like, oh, yeah. A lot of the places that they shot, there are in.
Starting point is 01:10:00 I bet nowadays on those kind of shows, they do go shoot them there on location. Like Roseanne was not in Lantford, Illinois. It was filmed there. I'm Breaking Bad. They shot the outside of that and then L.A. All right, that did it? I made me.
Starting point is 01:10:15 That's my pal. Wait, what was that whole story about? Just that the Brady Bunch. The Brady Bunch house renovation is complete, and the big reveal will be in September on HGTV. And I thought, I was like, oh, wow, all six kids are still around? Barely. I was looking at that picture.
Starting point is 01:10:27 Barely? I was like, there are a lot. That's impressive. Yeah. I mean, they're old. I mean, who's the old one? Greg? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:34 It looks pretty good. You went high on that. Looks pretty good. But we all age. Barry Williams, 64 years old. Yeah, we all age. They're not the Brady kids anymore. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:10:46 The Brady grandparents. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So a man was in the right place at the right time to help break the fall of a toddler who fell out of a fifth-story window. Is this the guy that used his body? He was literally getting out of his car.
Starting point is 01:11:07 And right after he did that, he looked up, and a toddler was falling. So he put his arms out and tried to react as quick as possible and broke the fall. I mean, it wasn't like a clean catch. No, I'm telling you, he uses the body. No, I know, yes. I saw this video. So, yes. And so the boy fell right into his arms, but sort of on him, which put them both in the ground.
Starting point is 01:11:26 They both were taken to the hospital. But he broke the fall. So there was no serious. It was crazy. Yeah, he just had some scratches on his head and his arms and straight up landed on his chest. Like he runs out with his arms open and I don't even think he thought he could catch him. But mostly it was like if you hit me, you know how I do this all the time, I drop my cell phone. Yes.
Starting point is 01:11:46 But then I try to kick save it. Sure. So just kind of stop it from going as fast. It still hits the ground eventually. But hopefully it doesn't crack. So I'll be like, kick save. He basically chest saved the kid. I'm so glad you brought that up.
Starting point is 01:11:59 I was going to talk about that. That's good. Yeah, good for that dude. And then they both ended up being okay. Yes. Like, they both got a little hurt. But no serious injuries. Not as much as it would have been if he hadn't parked his car right there.
Starting point is 01:12:10 It's amazing. Yep, that's what it's all about. All right, over to Morgan number two. It's going to catch us up. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan Number Two's 32nd Skinny. Lauren Elena announced her very first headlining tour. It's called That Girl Was Me Tour, and it kicks off September 14th in Columbia, Missouri,
Starting point is 01:12:30 with special guest to Fillmore. Do you ever watch her Insta Stories, Amy? I don't. Her and John Chris, it's her boyfriend. They basically do a TV show, and it is just her Insta Story all the time. And you know what? It's quite funny.
Starting point is 01:12:44 You would think, sometimes you've got an Instagram and see all the little white dots, and you're like, all right, there's no way I'm going to watch all of this. Right. They're actually pretty funny. When they were in here, they were funny together,
Starting point is 01:12:51 I was like, what? Is this what it's like to hang out with them all the time? Like, this would be amazing. Yeah. She's a pretty funny follow on Insta story. She got the thing stuck in her ear last week. Did I tell you about that? Yeah, you did.
Starting point is 01:13:01 There's like a little piece of a headphone, and she pulled her headphones off. Like if you put one of those inner ear buds in, and it got stuck in her earhole, and someone on the flight had to go in and try to get it out with tweet. On the flight, it wasn't even the doctor or anything. Yeah. Like some dude. Tico. No, no, no, it was some dude Jimmy who was sitting next to her, and they're in digging,
Starting point is 01:13:19 and then her guitars came up, too, to help at the end. But her head stories are funny. All right, what else, Morgan, number two? Christian Bush of Sugarland announced an EP of Six New Songs called Summertime Six-Pack, And it's going to drop this Friday. We've got a clip of one of the songs called Bar with a Pool in it. That's good, huh? Yeah, yeah, I like that.
Starting point is 01:13:55 I played that with him once at the Bluebird. We played a round together. I think I played his round. And he played that. I was like, man, that's such a good song. That was probably two years ago. I'm glad you put that out. All right, what else?
Starting point is 01:14:05 Last night was the premiere of NBC's Songland, and songwriter Shane McAnally was on it to show what goes into all those songwriting sessions and he talked about his first big songwriting break with the song Last Call with with Leanne Womack. I went to Nashville on a writing trip and I wrote a song called Last Call and the girl I wrote it with had a publishing deal at Universal and she was able to get it in the hands of Leanne Womack. So she recorded the song. It was enough of a light at the end of the tunnel that I just left L.A. Shane did a whole bobbycast with me and he talked about that way, way in depth. You can look for that if you search for Bobby
Starting point is 01:14:42 Cast as well. All right, Morgan number two, is that it? Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. Hope that's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. And we're transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right.
Starting point is 01:14:57 Now, here he is. Turn it up. So Ed Shearin is doing this entire series of talking about his new record that's coming out. It's a whole collaboration record. And they're on talking about it on YouTube and Charlemagne the God, who's a friend of mine is interviewing him. And they start talking about me on this thing. Oh, really?
Starting point is 01:15:17 Did you hear this? Uh-uh. You spent a lot of time in Nashville. Is that what you met my guy, Bobby Bones? Yeah, yeah, I did. I went on the Bobby Bone's show in 2013. You know, Bobby introduced us. You don't even remember that.
Starting point is 01:15:29 No, I do remember that. Yeah, no, that was the I Heart Radio Award. And I remember, I think I made a really, really dirty joke because I was on camera with a light in my face. And I remember making a really dirty joke and then coming out of the light and seeing you and being like, oh, God, he must have. has me do that.
Starting point is 01:15:44 I forgot that I introduced Charlemann and Ed Sheeran. Oh, pretty cool. And what a memory. He's like, oh, yes, I was there in 2013. I don't remember what I did last week. It was a nice fall day. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:15:55 Ed Sheeran played our show. It's pretty awesome. Amy, let's get that morning corny. Thanks for hanging out to everybody. If you're waking up with us, listen, we appreciate you. We know you have like a thousand places you could be or a thousand things to listen to, but, man, we're glad you're here. The morning corny!
Starting point is 01:16:12 Why can't a nose be 12 inches long? Why can't a nose be 12 inches long? Because then it would be a foot. I'd be like a foot. Yeah. Not a nose to be a foot. All right. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:16:27 Yep. All right. She comes back today. There it is. That was the morning corny. I was reading this story, and I watched the clip of this guy. He's in Ohio, and he's doing an update because it's a tornado warning, and he's reading social media and people are complaining that he's jumping on while the Bachelorette's on. And they're like, hey, dude, try to watch The Bachelorette. Why you talk about a tornado? And so he kind of loses it a little bit.
Starting point is 01:20:20 I was just taking social media. We have viewers complaining already. Just go back to the show. No, we're not going back to the show, folks. This is a dangerous situation, okay? Think about this as your neighborhood. I'm sick and tired of people complaining about this. Our job here is to keep people safe, and that is what we're going to do. Some of you complain that this is all about my ego. Stop. Okay, just stop right now. It's not.
Starting point is 01:20:43 I'm done with you, people. I really am. This is pathetic. Dangerous situation here. All right. I'm sorry I did that. It just really bothers me that we have people that don't care about other people's safety around here. That's just ridiculous.
Starting point is 01:20:59 New tornado warning here. That's the same one we had that's headed towards central and southern Mercer County. That's till night. It's funny. Here's why this weatherman's a knucklehead, though. I could get on this show and go, hey, everybody, we're doing a puppy adoption day and people are going to complain. It doesn't matter what you do, people complain. Don't acknowledge them because then you just get more people doing it.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Amy, we could really come on and just bring every sick person in and have someone to heal them all. And people would complain. If you're around social media enough, you know no matter what you do, people are going to complain. And he spent 40 minutes talking about people complaining where he could have been talking about a tornado. And then they could have gotten back to their regular programming. 40 seconds earlier. So let's start. I hate it when news stories go.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Twitter says this about so-and-so, and it's like two people who says something dramatic. Stop, just don't acknowledge it and move on. This guy's an knucklehead. Just do the tornado report. Of course you should do the tornado report. Of course. Don't get back to The Bachelor.
Starting point is 01:21:55 Well, watch it on demand. Same thing happens every season anyway. He's like, some of you were saying this is about my ego. It's not. What's about a tornado? What's about social media? Anyway, we're going to play Win Bobby's Money next. This is Ryan in Austin, Texas.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Ryan, how are you, bud? Hey, Bobby, I'm doing great. What do you do for a living? I'm an attorney. Oh, great. He's an attorney. Ooh, I like it. I don't know the category yet for Win Bobby's money.
Starting point is 01:22:23 Is there anything? Law. Oh, that would be awesome. Are there any categories, Ryan, that you feel super strong in? 90s. Well, me too. It was like last week we did 2000s And I was like
Starting point is 01:22:40 I know you're making it easier for the listener But I crushed 2,000s and I did Hey we can have a wallet in my office real quick I'm so much money I have in there We're going to play Win Bobby's money Where I'm going to give Ryan in Austin, Texas A chance to compete against however much money I have in my wallet
Starting point is 01:22:53 And I haven't lost in Lunchbox, do you know my record? I think you're 5 in 0 In 5 weeks So do we want to give us the category before we jump away And give us time to like cram up or just wait. We'll just wait because I don't want you guys cramming.
Starting point is 01:23:10 Do you want to, you can tell him the category. No, I don't want him to die out. No, no, no, hold on. Let me finish my sentence. Okay. I can leave the room and be put in the isolation booth and not know the category. And you can just tell him, and then I can come back and be told the category right before I start. Do you want to do that?
Starting point is 01:23:27 No, but that doesn't get fair. It would be unfair to me. I know. I know. Yeah, it would be fair to everybody. He would know the same amount. I have $20. I have $40, $40.
Starting point is 01:23:34 $50, Ryan. Is that good enough for you? Yeah. Or I can come meet you in Texas. See, here's the thing. Everybody wants raging idiots tickets now. Oh, wow. I'm fine to put that up for grabs. But, Ryan, if you don't win, I can't give them to you. Oh, I understand. Okay.
Starting point is 01:23:50 Is it 40 plus or just... No, it's not. Okay. Does he want them to the Austin show? What show do you want to come to, Ryan? Austin. It's sold out, so that's... Okay, I'm going to put you on hold.
Starting point is 01:24:01 We're going to play Win Bobby's money. It's a trivia game against callers. I'm pretty good at trivia. I'm not going to lie to you. He's an attorney. Oh, great. He doesn't want the money. He wants to play for tickets and meeting greets, which is fine, and we'll do that next. Do you have the questions, lunchbox? Yeah, I do. They're hard.
Starting point is 01:24:16 I'm not telling you. All right. All right, we'll come back next. All right, we're going to play Win Bobby's Money, which is a trivia game where lunchbox will ask the caller 60 seconds worth of questions. Then I'll get the same questions, and we see who gets the most. Now, I'm pretty good at trivia. I've always been pretty good at trivia. Just a backstory here. And I don't know if you've heard this backstory or not Ryan,
Starting point is 01:24:40 but when I was in seventh grade, I was captain of the 12th grade quiz bowl team. That's pretty dope. It was. I would be honest, I was pretty proud of it. I would go to all the other cities, and they'd be like all the little whiz kids here. So I might have been the smallest.
Starting point is 01:24:54 I might have been the poorest kid, but I was always great at trivia. So I've held on to that, and this is a fun game. And you have your option. Would you like to compete for $40? It's in my wallet. or tickets to you're in Austin, the sold out Raging Idiot's Concert and Meet and Greet's to Meet and Myself before the show.
Starting point is 01:25:13 It's your choice. Ticket. Tickets, he said. Okay. Tickets and Meet and Greeting Deges. Okay. Lunchbox, do you want to let us know what the category is? No.
Starting point is 01:25:22 Okay, you do not. You're going to tell him when I leave the room. Yeah, because if, like, Bobby goes in the isolation chamber, if he knows the category, he can look stuff up. I believe that's absolutely fair. Okay. You tell him, then you do the. category in the same thing you tell me. Yeah. And what's this guy's name? His name is Ryan. Ryan, how old are you? I am 35. What type of law do you practice? Healthcare.
Starting point is 01:25:46 Healthcare law? How does that mean? Yeah. Oh, I work on Medicare and Medicaid contracts. Oh, that's a little boring law to me. Are you rich? No, not at all, unfortunately. Do you get to go to the courtroom and argue? No. What's the point of being a lawyer? Like your lawyer do. What's the point of being a lawyer if you don't get to go to the courtroom and be like, no, I need the truth.
Starting point is 01:26:13 Were you there? Oh, wow. Judge, in your chambers. Like, if you can't say that stuff, what's the point of being a lawyer? I object. Ryan, the guy's got a valid question. I don't know. I mean.
Starting point is 01:26:28 That's true. You ever like, Your Honor, she didn't break her hip? One. One, see? That works then. All right. All right. It's now time to play Win Bobby's Money.
Starting point is 01:26:41 Ryan from Austin. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, children of all ages. Welcome to another edition of Winnie. Coming out of the Blue Corner, he is the challenger from Austin, Texas. He is 35 years old. He practices health law. Give it up for Ryan. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:04 Health. Health law. Health law. More like health flaw. Oh, got him. You're not far off. Oh. He was roasted himself. He took all my power. Oh, no. He ate mild me right there. All right. What else? And ladies and gentlemen, coming out of the red corner, the undisputed, on question, heavyweight champion of the world. He is 5-0. That's an undefeated record. Bobby.
Starting point is 01:27:36 Speaking, votes! Bones, bones, bones, bones, bones, bones, bones, bones, boads. I blew my voice out doing that. Ryan, you're supposed to talk trash at that point. I have no trash to talk. Okay, now, Ryan, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to walk to the isolation booth where there is no speaker. And by isolation booth, I mean my office because it is a big pile of crap and there isn't...
Starting point is 01:28:00 I'm the only radio guy with an office who doesn't have the ability to hear his on radio show. And this isn't new. This is since the beginning of the show, right? There's no speaker in there. Never been. And probably never will be. So, Ryan... You know, since they're rebuilding your studio,
Starting point is 01:28:15 you may as well have to redo your office, too. Well, I think that was the plan, and now they've decided they're not going to. Oh, yeah, because we started clearing everything out of your office, and now nothing's been touched. And we're like, nah, it's good. I'm like, we can't even hear the show in there. Okay, Ryan, I'm going to walk out of the room now, okay?
Starting point is 01:28:30 All right. All right. Now, Ramundo's taking over the board. You got it, Ramundo? Yes. All right. See you guys? soon. See you bones.
Starting point is 01:28:39 All right, Ryan, he's walking out of the studio right now. Ryan's now doing Ryan, are you awake? Are you pulled over? I don't want you driving while you're playing trivia. Sure, you're pulled over? He's driving. He's driving. He just wants us to believe he's pulled over. All right. Ryan, the category

Starting point is 01:30:41 Ryan, hey, good job, lawyer. But we can't say that. Don't say anything because he's going to come back in. He's going to ask you how you did, blah, blah, blah. And all you got to do is say, I plead the fifth. Ooi, ooi, oi. Ooi, oi. Come on B category, sports.
Starting point is 01:30:56 Hey, be Chicago sports. For my friends who are at Chicago Tribune. Who are hating on the Nogesvitz. Did you talk to that girl? No, she never responded. She wouldn't tweet back. Nothing. Kristen.

Starting point is 01:33:02 How'd you do, Ryan? I'm done now, Ryan. How'd you do? Where do you go? Oh, hey, the rate turned him down. Ryan, how'd you do? Worse than you. Okay. That was my weakest performance. Can you give me some of those back?

Starting point is 01:33:27 We're all pretty bad. I don't know. I messed up one question the whole time. What was the first question? None of us can talk. George Orwell. Yeah, what dystopian novel? That was easy.
Starting point is 01:33:39 I knew that one quick. The only one I missed was what movie adaptation of a book did Emma Stone star in 2011? You know, oddly, I had a conversation by 1984 yesterday, which is pretty fine. Strange. What are the odds? I know. One of my friends just read it.

Starting point is 01:34:43 It's called. I was going to say Willie Wonka in the chocolate factory. Elevator. Glass elevator? No, I swear. Chocolate elevator. You saw it. No, I didn't see it.
Starting point is 01:34:51 Peanut butter elevator. It's Charlie in the Great Glass elevator. Yeah, because that's how it ends. They go up in the sky. Never even heard of it. Piggy, Ralph, Jack, and Simon are from Lord of the Flies, guys. Okay. Lord of the Flies guys?

Bobby, Big Head Bones, Bones, Bones, Bones, Bones, Bones, Bones. Hey, Ryan, let me get a little back from you. I really don't know how to make that noise. Ryan, just try it, though.
Starting point is 01:35:29 I'm the winner. You got to at least give you something. He can't go. You can't go. I don't know, it's a really strange noise to me. It's not, though, it's like this. Oh, oh, do that. There you go. Man, guys, he's a lawyer.
Starting point is 01:35:50 He's not used to having fun. He is not. Oh, so he's never, like, been in, like, a bar. He's in the library all the time, so they can't do that. Got to be quiet. All right, hey, Ryan, you didn't win. I can't give you tickets, but maybe we can get you on the phone for another game some other time. As we play, our game known as, Bring Bobby's Money!

Starting point is 01:36:40 It's available at Target and your local... It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. 17-year-old Braxton of Ulysses, Kansas. Just graduated high school. So good for this dude. Then, 11 days later, he graduated with a degree from Harvard.
Starting point is 01:37:01 He took his first Harvard class when he's 11 years old, and since then, he's been taking about 16 online credit hours from Harvard each semester. Then, for two summers, he took a few Harvard classes on campus. And sure enough, just as he wrapped his high school career, he also earned a Bachelor of Arts in government and a minor in English from Harvard. He's believed to be the first and only student to earn a high school diploma and a Harvard degree at the same time. Wow. That's the kind of kid that ends up. Goals. Fixing something.
Starting point is 01:37:29 He either like cures cancer or makes a new candy crush. Like it's one of the things. It's like, but whatever he does, that's a smart kid right there. You know what we're going to do next week? I'll tell me something good. Have you guys heard about my brilliant idea? No. It was late last night.
Starting point is 01:37:47 Oh, boy. I couldn't sleep. And so I was like, what can we do? And that's what happens. I got my bike and I wrote it too. I worked out too late last night. My day was too full. So I was like, still got to get a workout.
Starting point is 01:37:57 So I go and I work out at like 7.30, which means I'm going to be up all hours of the night. And so I'm up. I'm working on the show. And I was like, what can we do next week? So next week we're going to do, Tell Me Something Good, the historical edition. So all the Tell Me Something Goods will be famous. Tell Me Something Good's from history. Oh, wow, that's cool. It could be, right? Like, George Washington did something, or it could be like a sports figure. Like, or it could be like this one. Here's an example. Just because I love Keanu Reeves. Okay. This is tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:38:27 From what year? Well, I should have the year on here and I don't. I wasn't prepared. I was just like, hey, give me this story real quick. But we'll start it off. It was the year of... Do we know what year of this happened, Mike D? Maybe it was 2012.
Starting point is 01:38:40 It was the year of 2012. Keanu Reeves once drove him in 50... What? I think he was older, 90s. Okay, it was in 90s, he tells me. It was the year of the 90s. Keanu Reeves once drove him and 50 miles out of his way because her car broke down.
Starting point is 01:38:54 A woman said she was once stranded on the side of the highway Outside of Los Angeles when her car Broke down on the side of the road It was before most people had cell phones and no way to call for help This nice black Porsche pulls up And you can guess it was Keanu Reeves He tried to jumpstart at the car Didn't work
Starting point is 01:39:13 He called AAA for her when they towed the car He said hey I'll just drive you home so she accepted He drove 50 miles out of the way to drive her home She said man I thought he may even hit on me but he didn't He said, gentlemen. He dropped, drop, and was like, hey, if you need any more help, let me know. And drove off.
Starting point is 01:39:30 And that is historical. Tell me something good. These can be cool. Yeah, I like it. This is the 90s. Like, I'm looking for 1700s next week. There we go. I'm looking for.
Starting point is 01:39:38 Paul Revere. 1850. Boom. Like, the Vikings. You know? Vikings. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:39:46 So. Jesus. Oh, you'll find a lot in there. Back to we go. There's a whole bunch of good stories. Yeah. So next week. The woman at the well that time.
Starting point is 01:39:54 I was out. Part in the sea. Tell me something good will be historical edition. That'd be fun. Feeding of 5,000. Okay, but they can't all be Jesus. Okay, they can't.
Starting point is 01:40:05 They could. They easily could. But there you go. Okay, okay, okay. All right, got it. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's know. Transmitting across America.
Starting point is 01:40:22 Okay, tell me if I'm a sell out, okay? Okay, I need to know. Well, I've had a few offers. Four? Well, because on. our last comedy album I wrote this song called I bought a Jeep
Starting point is 01:40:36 right? And I used to do it in my stand-up act and then we just recorded it at a raging idiot show and so now we'll play it. So I've had like seven deep Jeep dealerships
Starting point is 01:40:44 go hey can we use your song in our commercial? And I'm like, do I sell my comedy masterpiece here into a commercial for a Jeep dealership? Do you want to hear it?
Starting point is 01:40:58 Yes. You've heard of this song. I've heard it, but I mean I can hear it again. Also, okay. Go ahead. I mean, I think I know how I feel about it. So I can give you my, but I mean, I can think about it while you play it and give me my final answer. To all the listeners out there that are listening to this. On our latest record, live in Boston, the raging idiots, this is a song that you can download or stream.
Starting point is 01:41:19 It's called I bought a Jeep, and I've had these offers to put it in commercials. We have a Jeep dealership. We'd love to put this on our commercials. But I feel like if I put over my art, then I'm selling out. But you tell me if I should tell it. Here's the song. It's only a minute, 45 seconds long and we'll come back. Okay. People want to put that in their Jeep commercials.
Starting point is 01:41:37 If I allow that, if I sell out. I don't think you're a sellout. I actually think it's pretty awesome. And, I mean, this could mean big things for the raging idiots. I mean, I think of songs that I knew first from commercials that then were huge and blew up like Zed and Mirren Morris in the middle for Target. Oh, baby! I think about that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:58 I mean, they're not sellouts for letting Target use this song. It's actually awesome. So I say go for it. What an opportunity. You see it as an opportunity. I see it as an amazing opportunity. This means like more exposure for the raging idiots. And you do a lot of good with the raging idiots.
Starting point is 01:42:19 But this one to be for good. This means money. But that's okay. This is the payoff. This is like you put out the good and then you receive the good. Like it's a full circle thing. Like, I'm all about it. And I think that the Jeep song is perfect for Jeep dealers.
Starting point is 01:42:35 Okay. Not a sellout. It's business. I like it. Okay. I said I was going to let you decide. So that's the deal. So all the Jeep dealerships out there that have been hitting me up asking to use the song.
Starting point is 01:42:49 Amy says that you can now use the middle in your commercial. You don't want to ask me? Oh. Yeah. Does anybody have to say? I'm over here in the corner. It's my voice on that song. Yes, Bones, sell it.
Starting point is 01:43:03 And it goes, beep, beep. I feel like, yeah, it's catchy. It's fun. I bet they'll sell some jeeps. Okay. It's now up for auction. Should auction off to one? Or just let them all use it in all the other cities?
Starting point is 01:43:16 I don't know. How does it work? Well, different dealership in different cities would probably want to do it and license it. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I'll then start having discussions with Jeep dealers. with Jeep dealerships nationwide
Starting point is 01:43:28 about that song being in their commercials. Okay, cool. I can't wait until the next time I'm watching TV and a Jeep commercial comes on and it goes beep beep. That's weird. And I'd be like, I know him, them. You can call us too if you want to comment
Starting point is 01:43:44 if I'm a sellout or not. You can also download or stream that song too wherever you listen, download or stream stuff. Okay, hey, you know what I've been doing to? I should mention this. And I mentioned yesterday in the post-show pre-show that if you go over to the Bare Naked Ladies' Instagram, Have you been over there?
Starting point is 01:43:57 No. I haven't taken the trip over there. Every time they post something, I'm just begging Ed to be my friend. That's right. So if other listeners get on that bare-naked ladies page, they should post stuff. Like, hey, Ed, be Bobby's friend. He's the lead singer of Bare Naked Ladies? Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 01:44:17 Are you seeing it? 18 hours ago. Go ahead. They posted something. And Bobby goes, love that behind the scenes. Ed seems so cool. We'd probably be good friends. Hey, Ed, you need a friend.
Starting point is 01:44:29 Hit me up. There you go. Boom. Oh, my gosh. Two days ago. Oh, no. Yo, Ed, those Adidas are sick. Let's talk about shoes and be friends.
Starting point is 01:44:39 What do you say? DM me. Oh, four days ago. Hey, Ed, you up for a new friendship? You're out of control. Okay. You didn't go back any further than that. I did.
Starting point is 01:44:51 I definitely did. Oh, there you are six days ago. Hey, Ed, what do you think about you and me? He's striking up a friendship. Oh, one week ago. Hey, Ed, can we be friends? Hi, aye. He's written back, though, right?
Starting point is 01:45:07 No. No. No. Oh. Yeah. I wonder why. Kevin Griffin from Better Than Nazar wrote. Ed, I'll vouch for Bobby.
Starting point is 01:45:18 Mike just showed me. I don't know. They're going on tour with the hoodie, and I cannot wait. I'm such a fan. When we did our friends on social media, that's why I picked to be my friend. And I believe in following up with your dreams. And that's why I've been going after that.
Starting point is 01:45:35 I mean? What are you looking at? Just do you and Ed. Wouldn't that be cool, though? Yeah. Doesn't anybody even care? I mean. Yeah, it's cool.
Starting point is 01:45:46 What if he came in the studio and did one of the movie? I don't know, Ed. You know Bear Naked Ladies? I know, yeah, but I mean. It's been. Yeah. There's go. Sure.
Starting point is 01:45:55 Maybe they'll do the Jeep song. I had to go to the doctor yesterday because I have, I'm going on this TV show, which you can't say yet, and they make you get medically checked out for a lot of things. Oh, now it'll make sense. I get it now. I was like, why are you going to the doctor so much? I know, because they want it all to be checked out. And so I go, and after the whole test, and they check your immunizations, apparently either some of mine expired or I didn't have everything from when I was a kid, some, but not all. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:26 And so I had to get re-immunized in some places. That stuff hurts. Yeah. It's not just like a shoddy shot. It's like a shot with some power in it. It's hardcore. So I had to get re-immunized. I had to get the whole STD check.
Starting point is 01:46:40 I had to give blood and get like, I had to do where they like press and see how strong your legs are. It's a pretty wild test yesterday. And you know what else? I told the doctor, I said, we sat. And he's like, how's the, like, your body? And we're like, well, I only go to the bathroom like twice. week. And he was like, well, not normal. And I was like, well, I don't know normal. So he says,
Starting point is 01:47:01 you know what you need to get on? It's like, well, he said, Miralax. That I looked at it. That's for old people. I thought that you took something. I did. Meta Musil. And it helps. Also, some would say for old people. You know what? Some would say I'm an old person. I'm 39, living the life like a 79 year old. But I go to the doctor yesterday, get it all checked. I had to get in the gown. And let me tell you, that gown, kind of feel sexy a little bit. Why? Like, I get it. What? I get why. I get why. I get why you girls don't wear underwear sometimes because it's like you have that sheer thing on it.
Starting point is 01:47:30 You're like, ooh. What? You're in a sheer, okay. Yeah, the sheer paper gown. The thing with the slit in the back? Where were you? Yeah. I was in the doctor.
Starting point is 01:47:38 What? Okay. But I did that yesterday. And then that shot hurt. Like when kids have to get it. And by the way, get your kids immunized. I did. I'm not even an hypocrite.
Starting point is 01:47:48 I just now got some of my shots for the first time ever. So I had a whole thing. And he had to fill out all this paperwork for me to go on the show. So you feel good about it? Like you're released or do you still have to wait for results? I'm, well, other than me just being super healthy, I'm as healthy as can be. Oh, that's great. According to him, I'll get these results back.
Starting point is 01:48:07 I had to pee in a cup. Yeah. Although I didn't know exactly. Here's what happens. You get walked to a room and they just say, here's a cup. And there's a sign that says, put your specimen here. Right. They didn't say which specimen.
Starting point is 01:48:22 So I had four options. and then I had to figure out which specimen because there are four options spit. He's confused. No, I mean, I got it. Well, I'm thinking, yes, I have all four. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:48:36 Front. Like, Yep. And so, but I was like, well, I had the cup. And I was like, well, I wonder which specimen they want. And I want to knock on the door and be like, excuse me, which specimen is am I supposed to do here? And then.
Starting point is 01:48:47 She just went with P. Well, who knows? I just say this. Whatever I gave them was the right one. Okay. And so I'm waiting back. for all my results. That's what I did yesterday.
Starting point is 01:48:57 It was the doctor. I said, I worked out way too late last night for my own good. And then I ate. I was so hungry. I ate so late. And then I was just like, all night. What did you eat? Well, good food.
Starting point is 01:49:08 Okay. Like, I mean, healthy, not good food, but healthy food. But I just ate so much of it. Like, I just don't feel like I'm full unless I almost can't breathe anymore. Which is not a good thing. So I did that. And watched Killing Eve. So good.
Starting point is 01:49:21 It's pretty good. Well, I'm still in season one. Yeah, but I've never. been on the, it's so good track. Oh, I think, well, maybe I'm just excited to have something to watch, but I feel like it's good. I'm curious to see where it's going. I like it.
Starting point is 01:49:34 I like it or I'd bail out of it. Okay. But I'm going to get into the Chernobyl next, I think, that show on HBO. The only thing I'm watching HBO was Game of Thrones. But it's like I paid for a membership. And then soon. Is it a member or a subscription? Subscription.
Starting point is 01:49:48 Subscription. I guess I'm not playing a racquetball at the HBO center. So I have a, yeah. Well, soon we have Handmaid's Tale and Big Little Eyes coming back. Like two weeks. Oh, that's exciting. All that comes back. Yeah, there's so much now.
Starting point is 01:50:05 A Quiet Place, that movie, did you ever see that? No. Their sequel now has a release date. And I don't like scary movies, and I thought that was pretty good. That's the John Krasinski movie where they can't make any noise or they get attacked by the monsters. It's scary. Anyone all seen that? Do you like it, Mike?
Starting point is 01:50:19 Yeah. It's pretty good. Really? He directed that. And starred in it with his wife. and so they say it's coming back in 2020. It gross $340 million when it came out. They still have to be quiet?
Starting point is 01:50:31 I don't know what the premise is. Are they making another bird box? Birdboxes you can't look. Right. They have to be blindfolded. Now, they just need to do all the senses. If you smell anything. That's the whole show.
Starting point is 01:50:48 You can't touch. They've got a clothespin on their nose. Everyone's walking around. clothes pit. Jimmy don't do it. Jimmy don't do it. Don't smell it. I got to smell it, mom. That's the next one.
Starting point is 01:51:04 Yeah, that's what I did. And Morgan Evans came over, and we did a bobby cast at my house. That Morgan Evans is a good-looking dude. Yeah. Like, you kind of, whenever you're just looking at him in pictures, you're like, yeah, a good-looking guy. But in person, he's strikingly good-looking. Sometimes you got to kiss somebody in the back of the car. So he came over to the house.
Starting point is 01:51:26 You got to kiss somebody on a midnight street in the summer rain. And I asked him, I was like, hey man, what's the deal? So if his wife is Kelsey Ballerina, and I said, if she comes out and watches the show, is there pressure to bring her out on stage? Because everybody on Instagram knows she's there. And like, is it? I love it when she comes out personally. I leave it as an open invitation.
Starting point is 01:51:46 Whenever you want, no pressure. If you want to sing, if you want to do your hair, come out. But you can pressure her. You're her husband. I guess I could, yeah. But you don't. No. And I'm also very aware of that. I've kind of been hyper aware of everything to do with her career and my career since we started dating. I also talked to him about why you can't hear accents and songs. Because he talks like this and he's like, yeah, might. And then he sings, it's like, sometimes you got to kiss somebody. And so we get into that conversation. It's the latest Bobbycast. Search for Bobbycast wherever you listen to podcast. You know, he loops. He does the looping on his guitar where he plays. And he was like, yeah, my loop went out and my guitar broke. I didn't know what to do.
Starting point is 01:52:21 I was in Sugar Land, Texas, opening for Reba McIntyre about three years ago. And I remember trying to tell a joke. And then I remember starting to sing the American anthem. That's how desperate I got. But everyone sang it with me. He was like, I know what to do. Everything broke. So I told a joke and then went straight to the national anthem.
Starting point is 01:52:39 Oh, my goodness. And I was like, good night, everybody. Yeah, it's really funny. Listen, I really like the guy. The interesting thing is he actually wrote this song for Dylan Scott. But he wrote it for himself and then found out, someone's like, hey, by the way, Dylan Scott, just cut your song. How about that?
Starting point is 01:52:59 And it's like, wait, huh? Really? And so he was kind of like, I was thinking about cutting that one. I wish someone had asked me before it had happened. But two years later, this was like one of the best things this ever happened. This is so cool that he put that out and had a big hit with it. And I get to play that in my shows now. And honestly, that song probably wouldn't have fit my album the way that it is.
Starting point is 01:53:20 Yeah, it all works out. But he had in a pile of songs maybe to cut. And he got a text going, hey, Dylan Scott, cut this. Cool? He's like, uh, okay. Cool, I guess. But yeah, it's such a good dude. Check out the latest edition of the Bobbycast with Morgan Evans.
Starting point is 01:53:37 This song was number one in Australia for weeks. On the pop chart. And he's like, I go to Australia and people think I'm like a big deal now. That's crazy. Yeah. And then we set out on my deck yesterday. Only because on the show yesterday we talked about me never going out on the deck. And we went and set up there.
Starting point is 01:53:53 It's on my Instagram. Yeah, how'd it feel? Do you enjoy it? It was okay, but I was sitting up there with another dude. A good looking, dude. Real good looking, yeah. If you go to my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones, you'll see us sitting. We have like a rooftop deck, and we're sitting up there looking at something.
Starting point is 01:54:09 I don't know we're looking at. But, Amy, my beard just does not look like a beard. Yeah, it does. It doesn't. It looks weird. Look on my Instagram, you can see. But this is what I tweeted on. I'm looking at it right now on your face live.
Starting point is 01:54:20 I looked at it this morning and I was kind of ashamed of myself. But what's weird about it to you? And the listeners did on my Instagram story. They voted 60% like it, but 40% don't. I voted like it. I voted. Here's what I wrote. I wrote.
Starting point is 01:54:31 This is what I tweeted last night because I felt this way. My beard looks like you shave me from the waist down and just tossed all the hair on my face. Like just threw a bunch of hair and stuff. Yeah. Like you shaved me all the way waist down and took all that hair on your hands and just tossed it on my face. It doesn't look right. Okay. I mean, I don't agree, but it's fine.
Starting point is 01:54:50 If you saw me, would you be like, that's a man with a real manly beard. I don't, sure, sure No, no, really I don't know that I would I don't know that that is what defines a real man but sure Morgan number two is my beard like manly or you like it or no
Starting point is 01:55:02 Yeah, I like your beard I really do More or less I think you should keep it Boom Well I'm not going to keep it You should But I haven't had to shoot TV in a bit
Starting point is 01:55:11 So I'm Raymond you like my beard It's fine Oh He's a beard snob though Are you? You gotta die I'm not gonna die
Starting point is 01:55:19 No, don't die it It doesn't grow right Don't die the beard I'm like, Eddie, my beard doesn't even grow like normal men. It grows in like patches. Like I get a big patch on my neck and then want to come up on the left side of my face. Yeah, but you got to give it a chance. Once you go Stapleton, it doesn't matter.
Starting point is 01:55:32 You're not going to go that, but I mean, you could go. Or Dirk's Bentley. What does that mean? When he gets the full beard, that's what you need to go for. Anyway, you can see on my Instagram, my beard looks like a bunch of pubes in my face. Oh, boy. What? What?
Starting point is 01:55:46 That's good. All right. That's what it looks like. Now what? Check out the Morgan Evans' Bobbycast. Just go over and search Bobbycast on IHeartRadio or wherever you listen to your podcast. Your husband had to go get you tampons? Yes.
Starting point is 01:56:03 Is that a weird thing still after being? For him? Yeah. 100%. Even after being married for 12 years? Yes. I can't even recall another time that he's done it. I know in our marriage, I'm sure he's had to do it before, but I can't think of it. This was a time where it was necessary and he had to go down to the host.
Starting point is 01:56:22 where you don't even know if they have them, if they carry them or what. Oh, so not the grocery store. He had to go to an ask for them at the hotel. Like, you know, the little, sometimes hotels have a little shop. Yeah. So he goes in and he's like, do you all have any tampons, which I know is so hard for him? And there was a couple of other women in there. And he said he felt like everyone was looking at him. And the girl working was like, yeah, I think we have some.
Starting point is 01:56:45 How's her flow? Yeah, I don't even think he knew what to do with that. And he like, he's like, I can't even know. He was just like, I don't know. It's day one. I'll buy whatever you've got. Like, just give it to me. Give me all types.
Starting point is 01:57:02 Yeah. And he said that they were just like trying to. Then like all the women got involved in there were trying to help him. And he was just like, yeah, just sell me whatever you got. And so he bought it and came back. And were you very thankful? So thankful. I mean, I know it took a lot for him to do that.
Starting point is 01:57:17 So, yes, very thankful. I just felt bad that it got awkward for him because, yeah, I don't even like. buying them at the store, especially if I have to check out and there's not a self-checkout and there's like only a 16-year-old boy working the cashier. I'm like, ugh. I always try to find a girl. If a girl's not working and I'm buying tampons, I'm like, ugh, this sucks. Isn't it weird? And I'm 38 years old. It's weird and there shouldn't be a stigma because 50% of the population menstruates. Right. Maybe more if there are more women than men. Like it's so weird that there's a stigma on, ooh, we shouldn't have to go buy them. Because half of us
Starting point is 01:57:52 Do it. Right. It shouldn't be. I'm not saying, I mean, some women probably do not care. But for me, when I'm buying them, if I have to buy them alone, I won't. I always find other things to put on the conveyor belt with them so they don't stand out. And I'll cover them. Well, speaking to that, how about a game?
Starting point is 01:58:09 Oh, okay. A new study found the most common euphemisms people used for the woman's period. Okay. There are, one, two, three, four, five, six. Ten answers on the board, Amy. How many can you name? Okay. I don't know, but I'll try.
Starting point is 01:58:24 Go ahead. Ant Flo. Show me Aunt Flo. Yes, and number three. Okay, go ahead. Shark Week? Show me. Shark Week.
Starting point is 01:58:35 Wow, you're crushing it here. There are eight more. Eight more. Eight more answers are on the board. Those are what I call it. Ant Flo, Shark Week. Oh, I might need some hints. The big one is 75% people call it this.
Starting point is 01:58:51 And it's the big one? Do you know it? Oh yeah, everybody calls it this one. The... It should be pretty easy. Eddie? My time of the month. There you go.
Starting point is 01:59:04 That's the number one answer. Oh, okay. Okay, sorry, I was trying to think of something a little more specific. My time of the month. Go ahead. Bloody Mary. Oh, God, no. No, no, no.
Starting point is 01:59:14 No, no. No, no. Eddie? You're hopping in this. Morgan, over two? What? What do you have? What do you think?
Starting point is 01:59:22 Go ahead. Y'all have any more? Lava flow. Okay. Spotting. No. Spotting, no. All right, we're done.
Starting point is 01:59:31 The other answers are a monthly friend. Okay, yeah, my friend. Lady business. Girl flu. What? Moon time. What's that? Moon time.
Starting point is 01:59:41 And Red Wedding. Oh, I have never heard of any of those. No lava flow? Those would be your answers. What? Wow, okay. Well, now I have some new things to call it. Well, and how about your husband?
Starting point is 01:59:52 I think we should applaud for him. We need to give him that list. Listen, there should not be a stigma attached to this. There shouldn't be. There shouldn't be something we can talk about openly and it not even be something that's even funny. I love talking about it. I don't know if you love talking about it. Well, I don't mind talking about it.
Starting point is 02:00:07 It's him that gets uncomfortable. And I'm like, why are you uncomfortable? This happens every month. He's like, well, in my house growing up, it didn't. I said, yes, it did. Your mom and your sister had periods. He's like, no, they didn't. Well, yes, they did.
Starting point is 02:00:19 I know. All right. Thank you, Amy, for sharing that story with us. You're welcome. Shit. Bobby Blum show. Hey, everybody. A Lamborghini catches fire at a Walmart gas station.
Starting point is 02:00:32 A guy was filling up his Lamborghini. When it caught on fire, no one was hurt, but the car was a total loss. I wonder how that even happens, how you fill up with gas and your car catches on fire. By the way, this is the car was obviously a six-figure car. He wanted to save three cents a gallon on gas, so he went to this gas station. I'm telling you, rich people get rich because they save money like that. People are like, why would someone so rich be worried about... That's why people are rich.
Starting point is 02:00:57 Yeah. A guy drove his red Lamborghini to a Walmart gas station in Jacksonville, North Carolina, but as he was pumping gas, some spill and it caught on fire. Look at the flames in the picture, Amy. The Lamborghini instantly went up in flames. Oh, my goodness. Was he smoking? Or, did he have a blowtorch?
Starting point is 02:01:16 Was he like recreationally blow torching as he was pumping gas? Do you have lighter fluid all over his car? That's crazy. And did he light a match? That's crazy. Isn't that fire like a little? little too oddly big for a gas station? I don't know. I smell arson. Ah. Oh, insurance fraud. Amy, what's going on today? I'm headed to New York. So that'll be good and I'll be working from there the next few days.
Starting point is 02:01:38 Tomorrow and Friday. Yep. I'll be working from our studios there. Defined as a couple of days. Yeah. Thursday? Not a few. Okay, sorry. A few would be three or more. A couple would be two. You're right. Is what a few be more, are that four? I would say a few is only three. This is a good debate here. No, it is. A couple is two, a few is three, a lot, many is four? A bunch.
Starting point is 02:02:03 A bunch of days. What would be four days? What would you say for that? Yeah, a bunch of days, a long time. I would say four, a few. For four? Three is few. Four is, yeah, more.
Starting point is 02:02:17 I don't know. So you'll be in New York for? A couple of days for the show. She goes. Yeah, well, Stasier is getting to go with me, and we're having, like, a little girl's trip, so it's awesome. Do you have a sitter when you have to work? No, she's 12. She can...
Starting point is 02:02:32 Let her run on the city? Yeah. She'll be fine. Take the subway to Brooklyn? She can stay at the hotel, right? I would think so. I don't know. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:40 Probably. Yeah, she has her new watch phone. She can... Amy's daughter was busting my chops over my beard yesterday. Really? She's like, your beard's not good. She didn't say ugly. She didn't say ugly.
Starting point is 02:02:51 Did I say ugly? No, you're about to, though. I didn't. You said, uh, because that's how her face was. Her face is definitely like, ew. You're not good. I was like, stop.
Starting point is 02:03:00 That's just me. I'm just growing my hair out a little bit. He's like, should I shave it? And she was like, before he could finish this minute, she's like, yes. Yeah, Amy's doing the Thomas Rett live album released tomorrow, tomorrow night. So that'd be awesome. When do you late today, rapid show?
Starting point is 02:03:15 No, like, we're on an evening, like a late, or like a, now I want to be exact, because we talked about a couple of few. We have like an early evening flight. Oh, here we go. A couple of days is two. A few is three, and several is four or more. Several.
Starting point is 02:03:29 Several. Okay. Well, I'm going to be in New York for several days, only working from the studio a couple of days. Because we're staying through the weekend. What about you? Well, Eddie and I are going to write a bit because we have a show this Friday night in Biloxi, one of our first shows. And I have a meeting with the general because I'm a meeting.
Starting point is 02:03:49 because I'm one of their national spokespeople. We have some TV commercials for them. So I'm meeting with them after the show. I got a couple interviews. Just normal work stuff. Just, you know, doing the deal. I'm trying to pay rent. Pay rent.
