Waffle House Waffles, Olive Garden Breadsticks, Cool Ranch Doritos, the DQ Blizzard, McDonald's fries, the Outback Blooming Onion, and that's just a few. And now it's time to find out once and for all who deserves.

The ultimate title of Food Feud Champion, only one can be named. Let's meet our competitors. In the red corner, you know it's going to be a good day when it starts with one of these. And I was just wondering, out of those of you that are already married on the show, I was wondering what advice did you give, like maybe something that you've done for your wedding that you realized wasn't really necessary or something that you didn't do and looking back you wish you maybe would have done. So we'll go to Eddie first. You didn't marry the longest. I hate to say this because I'm probably putting someone out of a job. But we took a video. We hired a videographer. He did documented the whole thing. Guys, I feel like the last time I watched that video Was probably the day we got back from our honeymoon

That was so cool Never watched it again But is it digital? It's still on VHS tape No, maybe a DVD I'm sure it's Maybe it's on a DVD But really, man, I don't know where it is

But we've been talking about this with Ray's wedding and whether or not you see the groom or the bride before. And we opted to take pictures before. But looking back, I kind of wish we would have kept it a little bit more traditional and not. Lunchbox? Don't waste your money on dumb things. Like don't put your names on the napkins. Don't give out little treats at the end with M&Ms with your name on it.

There's extra money. but people don't care. You can just give them M&Ms. You don't have to put your names on them for an extra $10 per M&M. It's just stupid. They're so cute, though. It's just dumb. It's a waste of money, and no one remembers it.

Like, you don't remember that I gave out coosies at the end of the wedding. No, no one cares. Did you really? I don't use coosies. Yeah. Exactly. That's what I'm saying. Everybody does these cool things, put their names on the napkins.

It's a waste of money. I actually like that. I mean, it's for the person that's giving them out more than it is the person that's getting them. I like that too. All the advice is terrible. My advice is home run. We gave out a thousand of those super bouncy balls that you get for a quarter outside of Walmart, and nobody even brings it up to me anymore.

People probably use the coozy at home. You just don't know it. I don't know, though. You lose coosies every day. You don't need to put your name on it. You can give a coozy, but don't put your name on it. Amber, we've helped you with nothing. Actually, I think we just wasted your time.

I'll be honest with you. Yeah, did you gain anything? So my fiancee is actually looking at doing coosies Oh gosh However, however I was considering Getting like handled mason jars And then using the circuit To put or the cricket

I didn't love it It didn't think the final episode was Like a big cliffhanging closer episode Whatever And then I was like well that's it So we spent all our time watching the show And we're like well maybe we'll watch season two when it comes out Not sure if it's gonna be picked up or not

And as the show is ending You know It goes to like a recommended series on Netflix And so we kind of had our moment Of going ah that was good And then it goes boom Next episode We thought it was only eight episodes

They're 10. So we watched the A thinking that was a finale. And we're like, you know what? I've seen better finallies. It just kind of ends. We were like, it was just really? Didn't go anywhere. There was no conclusion.

So we have one more episode of watch. Oh, okay. But we finished it. We were like, how about that? It's just okay. We were like, that's one of the weaker finales I've ever seen, though. Fun fact, Friday. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.

And they go and they find an older gentleman. He was out looking for his drone, had fallen off an embankment. Wow. 60 feet down the side of the cliff.

hanging on and they ran and got help and the firefighter came and used a pulley system to get the guy up. Wow. Wow. I have a drone at my house still that I've never opened that Amy's husband gave me. I'm afraid, because sometimes I'll still do this thing where if I have like a nice shirt, I won't wear it because I don't want to ruin it because I don't want to ruin it. It never gets worn. So I'm just like, I don't know that's too nice. You might break it. Or if I don't want to get a stain on it. Same thing with the drone. I want to take it out of the box because I might break it.

But if I don't get out of the box, it's a paperweight. Pretty cool. though. You got to fly that thing. I will fly it right into a tree. For sure. Or a house. Or into somebody. It has a camera, I think. Does it? Oh, neighbor shot. That's exactly where you're that. Mine goes.

Then she sold them for more than 1,100% over the asking price. And now she's looking at up to a year in prison for price gouging. You can't put someone in jail for that. Find them a little bit of money, make them do some public service. We already have too many folks in jail. Yeah. And not for that. But what did she steal?

Fiancee didn't feel comfortable doing it, so I said whatever you want. I would have done something very. creative. I usually am pretty good with my words, but she said she'll probably be nervous, so she just wanted to, I get, you know, go very general. What do you think you would have said?

Uh, to just said how we met, going through the cancer battle. Uh, there was never a doubt that she was going to survive that. And then I knew she was the one I wanted to marry. And I would, I really just summed up to eight years and as short a time as possible not to like bore you guys, but then to say that I knew the second she walked down the aisle, I mean, that's going to be my wife forever. You knew the second she walked down the aisle? You didn't know before that? Really? That's weird. That's when you realize it. That means you don't even know right now because you haven't walked down the aisle. But you're really good at choosing your words. By the way. So I have some holes in it. I probably would

have ratcheted it up a little bit. There's a hole in that plot. What are you looking forward to, Ray? I'm assuming you're the same as mine. Yeah, wedding. All my family's going to be in town. I want to be a little more adult, and I didn't own a watch. Well, normally the ones that I wear are G-shocks because you can't really mess them up.

Yeah. Because I have some nice watches, and I just always seem to scratch the faces on them. So I typically wear a G-shock. I just thought I'd be a little classier today and wear a nice watch for you guys. It just screamed class when you walked in. I know, I know. How you been? I'm good, man.

I, let's see the pictures of your house all this. I mean, I'm fascinated with your house. I haven't been over to it, but I see it online all the time. It's awesome, man. I mean, we, you know, spent so much time building it and kind of getting ready to move in. And it's like one of those things you think is never going to happen. And then you finally get a chance to get in there and get settled, man. It's just nice to, you know, after, I guess about two years of going back and forth to different houses,

just trying to, you know, like rental houses and things like that, just trying to get in our place. And finally to be able to get in there, get some. settled and I had clothes that I hadn't seen in two years, you know. So we moved in. I was like, felt like I had a whole new wardrobe and all kinds of new shoes and stuff. So it's cool. What's it like to have rooms you haven't even been into yet, discover it yet? Because I'm sure there's still like a whole, every month you discover a new room. No, it's actually when we were kind of designing this house and building it, that was my one thing is I wanted to make sure that

everything was kind of functional, you know, and every room we would use. I mean, we didn't have a lot of wasted space in the house. So we actually use everything, man. I mean, I can't really think of one room that we have that doesn't get used a lot. So that was kind of one of my big things, was I don't want to build this house and just it just looks cool, but you don't use any of it. So it all gets used pretty well. You have a studio in your house? No, man. I'm one of those guys that I work on the road, and if I need to go in the studio, I go downtown. Once I'm home, I kind of try and step away from all that stuff and focus on kids and family and just kind of hanging out with them a little bit.

There was a picture on your Instagram of you because we'll talk about it in a second, but you're recording new music, right? Yes. You're in. Are you almost done or you just starting? No, we're just starting. We went in this week and I think we cut about eight songs just because we got time. I mean, we're not doing anything else.

and typically we're trying to squeeze those sessions in when we're off the road and things like that. But, you know, we just kind of had some time to go in there and knock it out. So we went in and did a couple sessions this week. Jason's song, Got What I Got What I Got, will be number one this week. Play a little bit of that for me, Ray.

Like, from my vibe, this is my favorite song you put on a long time. Yeah, it's, you know, it's different. I think over the course of my career, you know, we've kind of gone from the Hicktowns and she's countries to all those things to kind of be in, you know, having songs like you make it easy and things like this

that, I don't know, just a think are a little more growing up maybe and it's just really cool. I mean, I think music is kind of a cool thing because I think it kind of gives you insight to where a lot of times, you know, that particular artist is in their

life or whatever, and I think this song is one of those things that kind of represents that for me. I just got engaged, pretty happy about that. How did you propose to your wife? Well, congratulations, by the way. I sent you an Instagram message and congratulated you over there. I don't know if you saw that, but I thought that was really cool. But for us, I was on tour. I was out in California.

And my wife is a huge animal lover. Like any kind of animal she loves it. So one of the, I guess maybe the best zoo in the U.S. is the San Diego. Zoo. So I kind of set up a private tour of the San Diego Zoo and, you know, and it kind of was just like that. I mean, I just proposed to where we went and did like a private tour of the zoo. She got to pet elephants and all this stuff to take her favorite animal. And so that was kind of of my thing. Pretty romantic, you know, the zoo. Listen, the romance is what's important to the person.

Yeah, so that's her thing. So I figured that was cool. and actually we had met in San Diego, so originally. So it was just, yeah, it was just kind of a cool place for us. Does she have tattoos? She does. She's got a few. But they're pretty small. Like hers are really small. She has, you know, some on her arm.

She's got one right here on her wrist. When your guy comes to your house to tattoo you, does she hop in? Yeah, she got one last time, actually. She got Memphis and Navy's like a little thing. with their name on it. But, you know, she likes to do it. She's chickened out a couple times, too, though. She's had it, you know, for anybody that's ever had them,

they kind of put the sticker on first and peel it off and to give them a reference. So she got to that point and the needle was about to go in and she's like, I don't know, I'm not sure, I'm not sure. So it's like right at the last minute she pulled out. And, but this last time she actually, she got one. How old were you the first tattoo you got? I was probably,

19 or 20. Of age. Yeah. And I went, you know, but I went into the tattoo place. Place called the Ink Wizard in Macon, Georgia. And no idea what I wanted, really. And I just, but I wanted a tattoo. So I walked in, they had all this stuff on the wall.

And I'm like, give me that one, you know. And it was a pit bull with these, like, glowing green eyes that I had for a long time. And then eventually, I got it covered up. So now you see, like, I had the sun that's kind of black. the middle. That's a cover-up. So that used to be a pit bull? It used to be a pit bull, yeah. And if the sun hits it just right now, you can kind of still see the outline, but it was pretty bad. Jason Aldine's here. You got four kids, and a lot of the folks on the show here have kids. The big debate within us is when do you give your kids a cell phone? Yeah, I mean, I think the age that

my kids, my older kids got them was probably around 12. but it's also, you know, I'm divorced, so they live with their mom, you know, most of the time. And, you know, for me it was just, I wanted to have a way to, you know, for them to be in touch and be able to text them and call them and do all those things. So I think everybody's, you know, probably a little different situation. But, you know, I think it depends on what your situation is. But for us, I think it was around 12. What about the babies now?

I just, now, just throw it at them and let them go play the game. Yeah, they just come take my phone now. and just run around the house. And Navy's the worst, man. We call her the bandit because if you leave anything sitting around, she's going to grab it, and it's going to end up in the trash and the toilet. I mean... Have you had to pull anything out of the toilet?

I think I've had to pull a phone out, yeah. And do you just clean it and go about your day? No, it goes to the trash, and I go to Verizon and grab another one. Thank God for EyeCloud. I have your top streaming songs here. What do you think your biggest, your most stream? song is period. Most stream song?

I don't know. I would say probably Dirt Road Anthem. And number two is Dirt Road Anthem, 2011. When this song hits, because again, it was a bit of you taking a risk

and going, this is different. It's who I am, but this is a bit different. When that song caught and had a real traction, where you're like, oh boy, my career is on a whole different plane now.

I think we ended, you know, it's funny because I think when it's happened, and you don't really understand what's going on. I mean, I think you feel like, oh, man, that's a, you know, the song's getting played a lot, and it's getting a big reaction. And, you know, you can kind of feel the momentum starting to shift. But I think when it's going down,

I don't think you realize, like, how big the song, you know, how big the song was going to end up being. So there was definitely a different vibe around that song, though. I mean, there was a few of them, that one, and she's country, and, you know, some of those kind of songs that just, it was just a different, a different vibe. But, you know, Dirt Road Anthem was one of those songs that after a while just kind of took on a life of its own.

And I think it was so different than anything else that was out at the time. It just really kind of made that song stand apart and, you know, obviously became, you know, one of the career-type songs for us. Your number one song is... Burning it down. Nope.

Burning it down is at number five. Good try, good try. From 2014. When Burning It Down came out, this was like a switch up on your sound too. You talk about changes. Yeah. When this song came out, I was like, I wasn't really what I was expected from Maldine, but I like it, but it was different.

You know, I think, you know, we're 10 album, we're about to, we just started cutting the 10th album. And, you know, I think there comes a point where, you know, you're making records, you're making one every, you know, year and a half, two years putting it out. And, you know, I think you kind of have to find ways to change it up a little bit. My thing was always, you know, I always wanted to stay true to what it was that I did. I always wanted to love the music and want to go out and play it and have it be things that I enjoy.

But at the same time, it's like I also had a ton of different influences. And I felt like there was times where I hadn't really had a chance to show off some of those influences. So when a song like that came along, you know, burning it down, it was like kind of this R&B, R&B field to it that we really hadn't put out on a record that it was like, all right, well, this is cool and different, and I don't feel like we're putting the same record out, you know, and I think same kind of thing happened with you make it easy and some of those songs, too.

You know, it's just you get a chance sometimes to, when you find those songs, it works for what you do, and it's also allows you to show a different side of your music, and I think burning it down was a big one that allowed us to do that. We still haven't hit the number one song. The number one most dream Jason Aldeen song is. You make it easy? That's it.

There we go. You ever get pulled over and the cop comes up and goes, let me see your ID, and you hand him the ID, and it says Jason Adina, and they're like, oh, crap. Yeah, I mean, I've, you know, I've had to give them a license before it. But, you know, some guys have no clue. You know, it's kind of like you're just hoping for, like, some, like, kind of redneck cop that likes country music, you know. So I've gotten some that are like, license registration, here's your ticket. And then there's other ones that are like, are you?

I'm like, yeah, I'm him. He's like, oh, cool, man, love your stuff. Slow down, have a good day. I'm like, my man. And so we've talked about this a little bit, but you have a record label now. You're like you're the king dangling your own record label. Night Train records, right? Yeah, night train.

It's kind of a co-venture, you know, whatever they call it, a junior or something, for Broken Bow Records, who's my record company that I've been with forever. And, you know, it was something I always kind of wanted to do. And I had an opportunity to sign Tyler Farr, who's one of my best friends. And I'd already produced a couple songs on him when he had his previous record deal. And I loved being in the studio with him. I thought it was a lot of fun. And I thought we cut some really cool stuff.

So I had a chance to sign him. And we signed him. And we actually are in the process of signing our next artist. another artist we got named John Morgan, who's great. And so yeah, it's kind of a new thing, you know, but it's something I always wanted to get into, and it's been fun. What's your advice? I've got a lot of folks that listen to this, and I do a music podcast, are constantly like, what are these guys who are running labels, especially the artists who used to be, and still are, but who used to be in that brand new stage? Like, what do I need to do to cut through whenever it's

not working for me right now? You know, I don't know. That's a hard question, you know, because I feel like in this business it's hard for people to put their finger on, you know, what it is that sets people apart. You know, it's just for me, it's just something like you hear it and you see it. You know, I think it's, you know, in an artist, I mean, it's confidence when you walk in a room. It's, you know, it's guys who their voice doesn't sound like everybody else. Like there's something just really kind of different and unique about the voice and songs. I mean, you know, I think some people have a great ear for songs and, you know, a knack for writing great songs.

So you can have the best voice in the world, but if you don't know how I pick songs that it makes it translate, I mean, it's not really going to work. So I think it's just a combination of a lot of different things. And, you know, and it's hard, man. That's why when you find somebody that kind of has all those things, it's kind of a special artist, you know, because you have guys that are great singers or, you know, guys that look great. You know, it's like artists that are, you know, genetically gifted, you know, whatever. They're really beautiful people, but for some reason, you know, you, I'm glad you picked up on that. I'm talking about you. But, you know, it's just sometimes it's just having all those things that are, that all kind of go hand at hand, you know.

And obviously the voice and the songs are what's going to make the most difference. And if you can kind of piece that together, you know, I think that's the thing. Jason Aldine is here. I was looking at your Instagram, which I often do. I'm just in love with you. And there was a picture of the entire family.

Look at Christmas car picture. Is that the picture for the Christmas card? Maybe. It's a great picture, by the way. Well, part of it. So my brother-in-law, my wife's brother, got married at our house last weekend.

So we had his wedding there. And, you know, it's rare that I'm ever in a suit or dressed up, period. So Britt, of course, wants to take a lot of pictures. We had the kids. you know, they were, Memphis had a suit on. And so she was like, let's get a picture for Christmas cards.

We're like, all right. So in one picture, Navy's looking, she's doing great. And Memphis is, you know, falling out of Brits' arm. She's trying to hold him. And the next picture, Memphis is looking. He looks great. And Navy's got the back of her head to the camera. So it's like.

And that's the one I'm looking at. Yeah, yeah. So it was like, all right, well, maybe we'll just do like a two-sided card. And you can, you know, get a chance to see both kids. But we took a Christmas picture last year in front of a Christmas. tree and Memphis had that same pose where he was like falling. He just gets over it. He's like, all right, I've given you like 30 seconds.

Now I'm ready to get out and go play. And that was kind of what was going on there. Looking at your wife's Instagram, and Troy Aikman wrote a comment. You know Troy Aitman? Yeah. He's a friend of yours? Yeah. How cool is that?

Pretty cool. I mean, growing up and just being a sports fan, I mean, Troy was one of the, you know, he's one of the legends of the NFL, one of the best quarterbacks of all time. And so I've had a chance to hang out with him a little bit. here and there. He actually throws a benefit at his house out in Texas. And a couple years ago, me and my band went out and played it. It's like in his garage and he transforms his garage into this really cool event. And we had a chance to go play it. And it was really cool. Who, when you look at your friends, because I have a couple of these two, where I'm like,

I can't believe this person is my friend now because I thought they were awesome as a kid. Right. Who do you have that you could just call that you still go, this is pretty cool that I can call this person because I always looked up to what they did. or? Chipper Jones, probably, and I've gotten to be like really, really close with Chipper over the years. But growing up in Georgia, I mean, he played for the Braves. I mean, he was Mr. Atlanta Braves for all those years. And I watched him from the time the Braves drafted him.

He came to Macon, my hometown, and played for the Making Braves for a while in the minor leagues. And I went to see him there and watched him play his whole career and got to be friends with him, you know, when I got a little bit older. and now he's somebody I talk to quite a bit, you know, so that's one that still kind of weird. I was looking at your Instagram story, you were in Target, because I play video games a little bit. I play NBA 2K21. I play little football, you know, a little call of duty. And you were, I think you were on an aisle, you were kind of looking at the headset or the games. And you had mentioned something about gaming, and two things I thought is you just walk around Target and everybody's cool.

And then secondly, are you playing a lot? Yeah, so to answer the target question, I go to Target all the time. There's one by our house. So I think everybody's kind of used to seeing us in there now. But you had a mask on too. I bet the mask is a big thing for you. I was going to say the mask has been great.

You can kind of go wherever now. But yeah, so me and a few friends, I play Call of Duty a lot. You play with Kane? I play with Kane some. So Kane was the one that was like, man, you've got to start streaming live. So I've been trying to get all my stuff together to start streaming live. And I'm like, man, I'm playing anyway. playing with you, I might as well get on there and stream and, you know, kind of get a little more

interactive with fans and stuff. I just never know what to say. Like I'm like, look at that, made it. Well, that's why you play with somebody, because then you can kind of bounce back and forth, you know, I have some banner with some other people. So I got a friend of mine from Georgia that I play with sometimes. And DJ Silver, who's on the road with me all the time. He's, he's one that gets on there. And he never shuts up. So it's great because you never have any dead space. He's always talking. So he's good. for getting on there with. You find that you're closer, because Eddie and I play all the time.

We have other friends that I was disconnected with for years, but now we're extremely close again because we're on a headset, and there's a genuine rekindling of a friendship that happened. Yeah, I mean, like I said, one of my best friends from Georgia that I grew up with. And I mean, I've stayed in touch with him over the years for sure. But, you know, we'll go a couple months and not talk to each other or whatever. Now it's like, you know, three or four days a week we get in there, about 11 o'clock, 10, 11 o'clock at night,

and, you know, play online for a couple hours and just kind of get to hang out, even though it's talking. So it's definitely allowed me to do that as well. Well, my final question for you is, what's going on with the new music? I think people want to know. Give me a little tidbit here that you haven't given out yet. Yeah, I mean, you know, not much, man.

I mean, we just went in the studio this week. We, you know, typically we're trying to, you know, cut sessions when we have a break here and there on the road, but we haven't been on the road since March. So, you know, it's just one of those things. It's like, man, we're here. We got time. You know, we got a few songs that we want to go in and cut.

Let's just try to get a jump on it. And so we went in this week and cut eight songs. It's a lot. Yeah. So, yeah, so I'll go in in November. We'll sing it. We just tracked everything this week. So I'll go sing everything in November.

And, you know, we'll basically have like half a record done. And we'll go back in and probably do another session, maybe in January, and so, you know, we're looking at some time in probably March. It'll be probably all done. I don't know when it'll come out, but it'll be sitting there waiting, you know, in the can. So right now we're just kind of focused on when we get to go back and start playing live shows and things like that. So, you know, it's just we've got so much time on our hands.

It's just trying to figure out things to do to make the best use out of our time right now, I think. which song and we'll really end on this one I'll which song did you hear and you go I don't know if that one's for me but then it turned out to be a big smash for you and you're like dang

I was kind of wrong about that at first Big Green Tractor Big Green Tractor You're talking about over the years? Yeah, Big Green Tractor was the one I mean Yeah You ever heard this before?

Pretty good. We play it and he's stunned What the big? It's kind of like It's like a little tongue and cheek which I typically kind of stay away from those kind of songs. And it was cool, you know. I mean, I thought it was cool.

David Lee Murphy was one of the writers on that. And it was kind of one of those. And I was like, man, there's something cool about it. But, you know, I just, I don't know. And my producer was the one that was, like, kind of talked me into cutting it. And even when we cut it on the, and put it on the album, like, I didn't think that it would be a single at that point. So, and to this day, it's been my longest raining, number one. I think it was at number one for four weeks.

It's the only song I've ever had to stay there for four weeks. So what do I know? You know? Listen, there he is. It's why I'm not the producer on my old records, guys. Going to have a number one song this week. Got a new record label. When you get your other guys signed, you bring him up.

Love, he was already volunteering, and then those kids, that's cool of them too. So cool. I hope my kids are like that.

Let's go. Bobby's big story. Three out of ten children under seven own a smartphone. That's crazy. Whoa. Is that real? Necessary. Parents said they made the purchase because their kids asked or they did it to help keep the little ones entertained.

It's also a necessary communication tool that keeps them safe. The results also showed that most parents agree the absolute longest you should wait before giving your kid a smartphone is 11 years because of after school activities and that's when they start hanging out with friends and they need to communicate with the parents. That being said, we got two parents in here. Eddie's kids, 13. Correct. No phone. Amy's is 13. 12.

Mine's 12. No phone. Mine's 13. Yeah. She's getting one soon. But I don't know. But you're struggling with it? I'm struggling at which one to get.

I think we don't know what to buy. Three of ten under seven years old, though. How do you feel about that? It's terrible. And the fact that they said the reason is they asked, like, if I bought everything my kids asked for, I'd have no money. That's crazy. I mean, and we got around just fine as kids with the after-school activity. You can't do that, though.

We had no phone. But we didn't. We had no phone. Okay. And then our parents before that were like, they walked around without cars. We got a long fine without electricity and shelter. But I remember in seventh grade when I was begging for a pager. And they were like, we got a long fine without our drug deals.

All right, here we go. Bobby's father. Story. Sleeping 10 to 12 hours is really bad for you. Experts say that too much sleep is even worse than too little sleep because of brain fog and groginess. When you reach that tipping point of about 10 hours, you're more lethargic, you are not as alert, you're also significantly more sluggish,

and your motor skills aren't as sharp. Your body was designed to be in an upright position, laying down for that long is bad for your internal organs as well. I tell you, I love 10, 12 hours of sleep. Do you get that often? No, but I love it when I do get it. Also, don't get cheesecake often, but I love it when I get it, too. Participants who slept 10 plus hours a night were more prone to injuries, headaches, and brain fog. Crazy. Can you pull off 10 hours if you need to? No. I don't know that it's possible. I mean, kids are no kids. I mean, it's just not possible with kids, but even if I could. Yeah, my body doesn't, wow. I don't know the last time I've slept 10 hours. I can sleep for about seven and then I wake up naturally, but then I

can make myself go back to sleep. Oh, yeah. And I, in my mind, that counts as 10. Yeah. Or a full night and a nap before the day even gets started, one of the two. And she did, she also, one of our favorite songs of all time is, that's what I love about Sundays. She's like, she knows everywhere to that one. And we started going down to Craig Morgan, unless she goes, I guess I'm a Craig Morgan stand. I know every song of his.

No. It's the homeless guy and he's almost home. They wake a month. up and he was like almost back home living with his family. It's so sad. And it was like, oh man, you woke me up. I was almost home. She was singing in a sword and I pushed record and she was in a, that's what I love about Sunday. And I sent it to him and just pushed to send. And I was like, this

Days of Thunder. There you go. Whenever you're out and about, are you recognized by different types of people because of the different roles that you've had? I hardly get recognized. What? I'm teasing. No, I'm teasing.

People recognize me a lot from either Guardians of the Galaxy, the Walking Dead is a lot. I get recognized from Walking Dead a lot. And Days of Thunder still, depends on where I'm at for Days of Thunder. I did a bunch of Days of Thunder commercials last year, and so people recognize me from that. from NASCAR and Dave of Thunder. Yeah. So you're on talking about the new movie that's out today called Love and Monsters.

So you can get it today. It's video on demand, digital purchase. So now that movies, because of Corona, are being put out digitally, how'd you feel about that? Would you have rather held on to the movie and have it come out when theaters are open again in six months or so full or just put it out now so people can get it immediately? Well, you know, that's not my choice and decision. So I just, I basically, I get hired, I go and I do the job, and then I leave.

I have no choice in the matter. I think the digital stuff, I mean, they really need a lot of, they need a lot of stuff. So our movie will lend itself very well to that type of freedom. Tell me about Love of Monsters. What is it about? Well, it's based after an apocalyptic event, so to speak. I mean, we have a giant asteroid coming to Earth. We blow it up, but in doing so, we have there's repercussions.

There's some sort of fallout. causes all the all of the invertebrates and like cold-blooded creatures to morph into giant monsters and all the humans who are left on earth retreat underground. So we retreat into these little

bunkers and we stay underground. Some people choose to stay above ground. I was one of those folks. Me and my little partner, Ariana, we, We have chosen to stay above ground, and we've been devastated by the monsters. Basically, they've filled off all of our loved ones, and so we're basically survivors above ground, and other people are survivors underground.

Love of monsters out today. You can buy it at home. My favorite thing about Corona is I can watch movies at home, because I don't like going to the theater anyway. Dude, but not only that, you can watch it two or three times. Yeah, for the same price. Hang out. You can pause it, actually, and go get some food and come back and finish watching it. You're in the new Fast and Furious F-9. It's supposed to come out May of next year.

Is it true that movie's going into space? Did you go into space? I can't tell you anything about that movie, whether I've gone into space or I'm an earth-bound human. I do my best work with my feet on the ground, so is that a hint? It's a pretty good one. You know, speaking of your feet on the ground, you're like the ultimate apocalypse guy. Like if crap's going down, it seems like they need you for their shows or movies. So is that a role that you early on were like, that's what I'm going to be?

Or did you kind of get put there based on your acting skills? I was probably put there based on my own skills. Because if there's crap going down, you better come to my house. But you better be nice about it. What was your background in acting? I'm sure it wasn't learning how to be a villain and a lot of great, great. movies. Like, what was the goal as you were a kid? You know what? I wasn't an actor when I was a kid. You know, I didn't get into acting until I was in my mid-20s. And I went to a school called the

Goodman School of Drama. It was a very well-known, a very respected theater school. And I got most of my training, all of my training there. And from there, I went on to theater. I did theater for about four or five years and I got into TV and eventually in the film, into the film business more than television. Well, in real life, I'd like to have you by my side. You're also a black belt and karate, right? I did, I, I, Tito and judo, mainly, but I study karate now. I do a form called Kiltushin. It's kind of a full-on contact, full-contact stuff, but not I tell people all the time that it's full contact, but it's not full power. You know, if you do full power every time you go train, you wouldn't be training a lot.

You'd be too sore to do anything else. But we have a good time in the dojo still, yeah. You ever have to whoop anybody's butt in real life? I grew up biting pretty much in my whole neighborhood. Nice. I tried my best to whip their butt. Sometimes I got my butt whip. Okay, everybody check it out.

Flashback Friday. 2009 was living in Austin, Texas. Doing pretty good. I started to use my own money to figure out how to syndicate a radio show. And everybody told me that there's no way you don't syndicate a show out of Austin. You also don't syndicate it that way. But we were on it. We were doing pretty good.

Four years later, we ended up moving to Nashville. But 2009 was a good year for me. The biggest country song that year was Small Town USA. By Justimore. Yeah. Give me a Saturday night, my baby by my side. The biggest pop song is Al City Fireflies. Because I get a thousand hugs.

Wow, that was a jam. Was it, though? Yes. Some people thought it was a big jam. When it was on the radio, I turned it up. And it was on the radio all. A lot. A lot.

The biggest news story, the balloon boy hoax, took over the country. I was just glued to the TV watching this balloon fly over with a kid in it. That guy's kid was in the balloon. They couldn't control it. They were just chasing it. The news was chasing it. Authorities confirmed the balloon reached 7,000 feet during its 90-minute flight. Balloon boy.

And it turns out if they got into the balloon, the kid was in the attic hiding the entire time. They didn't even know if the dad made the kid hide up there. I don't know if they ever knew. So there you go. That's today. Flashback Friday. Flashback Friday. Amy, what's going on this weekend?

Just at the house. My dad will come over. That's probably the highlight of my weekend because it's the highlight of his. It makes me so happy to see him break loose from his assisted living place for a little bit. But just at the house. What about you? Batesville, Arkansas, baby. Yeah.

Going to shoot my Nat Geo show in Arkansas. The Razorback game is tomorrow at 2. And I hate when the game's on while I'm shooting. because honestly I'm not fully in the shoot. You can't tell them halt production for a little bit? No, and Caitlin keeps my phone and we have signs. Thumbs up, thumbs down. She does a kick.

It's a bill. We have a thing and I'm watching her from across. Smart. She's now allowed on set. With COVID protocol, nobody that doesn't have a job can't be on set. We have a max. But now she is hair and makeup officially. So she comes and does hair and makeup.

That's awesome. She just puts a little powder on. and then my hair and chick, you're good, go ahead. That's cool. And then she gets back on her computer and she has to work her job while she's out there doing it. So we're going to be in Batesville, Arkansas. Which will be fun. It'd be fun to go to Arkansas. Last week we played a round of guest and narrator with a caller.
