Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. You're listening to a podcast, so you're doing something else too. Like maybe scrolling home listings on Redfin, saving places you like without thinking you'll get them, because that's what house hunting has become. But Redfin isn't built for endless browsing.
Starting point is 00:00:17 It's built to help you find and own a home. Redfin agents close twice as many deals as other agents, which means when you find a place you love, you got a real shot of getting it. Redfin helps turn saved listings, into real addresses. Get started at redfin.com. Own the dream.
Starting point is 00:00:35 With Air Tasker, you can check off anything on your to-do list. Okay, today's list. Pick up the cat, get my nails done, drop off the brownies for the fundraiser, and add fixed windshield to the list. The palm tree just fell on my car. Air Tasker it is. From errands to emergencies, post your task, set your budget, and let local taskers help you out.
Starting point is 00:00:57 Go to AirTasker.com or download the app. Too big, too small, or too palm tree-shaped. Airtasker. Get anything done? The Disneyland Resort is everything. We came to play the Calliway. Felt like I was in the round-up game with Woody at Pixar Piers. Have you been holding out on us? No, just showing you where the real Hollywood stars are.
Starting point is 00:01:18 Like Tiana's Bayou Adventure. Oh, there's jazz, right? And a drop. You'll see. Grab a Mickey Pretel on the way. Girl, you're reading my mind. We're almost there. Disney California Adventure Park and Disneyland Park.
Starting point is 00:01:30 Game to play. Both part tickets and reservations require such as two restrictions change and cancellation without notice. Visit Disneyland.com for details. And now for a bit of breaking news between your breaking news. With me, the Geico Gecko. Here are some things you ought to know today. People have switched their car insurance to Geico save about $900 a year. Experts are calling that nice to know. Also, plants can hear when bees buzz. My phycas just heard that. And finally, animal experts have confirmed that goats have regional accents. I'm getting a hint of Irish that. It feels good to get good news. It feels good to Geico.
Starting point is 00:02:07 The Bobby Bones, post-show pre-show. Leslie, in Kansas, if we want to put her up. Hey, Leslie, you're on the post-show pre-show. How are you? I'm good, thank you. I was reading your text, because people can text the show. Even as we're doing it right now, you can text the show. I have the screen up, and you can text whatever message you want to the word Bobby, which is 26-229.
Starting point is 00:02:27 and you wrote a text about the post-show pre-show. So I kind of would like to talk to you about it. Go ahead. Well, I was just wondering why you do it in the format that you do as far as taking it at the end and then playing at the beginning because I'm a huge podcast person. That's the only way I listen to. And sometimes it's a little confusing when you're listening, you know, things at the end and the beginning.
Starting point is 00:02:49 So, you know, you'll touch on different things that you've talked about. It's kind of confusing sometimes. That's all. I would agree. The reason I don't put it at the time. the end, it's because not everybody makes it to the end of the podcast. And secondly, most 90% of the stuff that we talk about isn't about stuff we talk about in the show. It's mostly like secondary thoughts that came up during the show or bits that didn't make it
Starting point is 00:03:12 or something that's happened in the last 20 minutes, that kind of stuff. But you're right. I think that's a valid point. And I weighed that and I still felt, let's put it at the beginning. Because I feel like for the most part, it's a good thing for it. Because rarely do we spoil segments. I think we're kind of out of spoiler culture about even the radio segments coming up. But I still see where it could be confusing because we are doing it at the beginning of the podcast. But it's after the show's over.
Starting point is 00:03:38 Post show, pre-show. It's a terrible name too. It's just one day I was like this. But it makes sense. What would you like to say to Leslie? Would you agree with our point? Yes, I agree with her point, but it's sort of like at the beginning of my podcast
Starting point is 00:03:51 and at the beginning of Bobby's, like we record stuff sometimes that are after what is to come. And we give a little teaser of what it is, like a little menu of, you know? Like it's like you set it up and there's things that maybe you want to cover. And then we kind of just get to, it's good for us at the end. Like we just get to say whatever. Maybe we get to whatever didn't get mentioned during the show.
Starting point is 00:04:11 And if we recorded the pre-show before the show, that'd be weird. Yeah, we'd be asleep. That would be weird. We wouldn't have anything to say. I'd be like, let's not do this. Or the other option is to put it at the end of the podcast, which people don't always. I can look at the data and see where people like stop in the podcast. Uh-huh.
Starting point is 00:04:26 People don't always make it to the end. Right. Life happens. But I did want to put it on because I think some people feel that way. I think that's a valid point. I agree. Leslie, where do you live in Kansas? Uh, Wichita.
Starting point is 00:04:35 Come on. There it is. The home of Morgan number two. Yeah. Shout out. Shout out. Um, do you get Morgan number two related by any chance? No.
Starting point is 00:04:44 No. What are you doing, Wichita? Um, I am the store manager of this year. The head led here. And do you get good stuff and call dibs on it early? Because I definitely would. Absolutely. And what's your discount?
Starting point is 00:04:56 Is it more than 15%? No. Oh. What is it? What's your discount? 10%. Free 99, though, if nobody's looking? Yeah, come on.
Starting point is 00:05:05 No. Okay, good answer, good answer. But really, she's winking at me, I can tell. All right, thank you, Leslie. Thank you for calling. Thanks for texting the show. And I do want to say one thing. Thank you so much for your podcast because of it.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I don't leave my phone at home anymore because it automatically turns on. I live 50 miles from home. And so I know immediately if I left my phone in the house. So I really, really appreciate. appreciate it. Oh, wow. Like sinks up with your car? Yeah, so then I know if I left my phone at home, that saves so much for me. So I appreciate it. Well, we created that technology, so we'll take your your appreciation. All right, bye, Leslie. Which, by the way, thank you, Leslie. Have a nice day. I do want to mention this. We are doing one full band show, Eddie and I are, and they booked us
Starting point is 00:05:47 like four or five months ago, because we're doing our comedy tour, which we're doing tonight in Chicago. We're doing one full band show in Wichita at the fair. Yes. And it's, Full band, Walker Burroughs is in the band, Brandon Ray's playing with the band, Natalie Stovall, it'll be a big, big band jam. So come out to the fair. And that show is in September. So are you coming, Morgan number two?
Starting point is 00:06:10 I've been thinking about it. I think I want to come back with you guys. I wonder how many, because we're taking a bus on that one. If we don't, if we have space, well, she can always stay with you. Well, there's a bus. Right? We have, well, there'll be maybe 10, maybe 12 bunks.
Starting point is 00:06:29 I think they're total of 12 bunks. Let's walk through this. There's me, which, and I have the whole back bedroom. Yes, that's what I'm saying. To be fair, I do pay for the bus. No, no one argues that. Okay, okay, I just don't want listeners to be like, what's up, what's up? So I have the back bunk.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Then there's Eddie, Natalie and Brandon, that's four people. Grady, our drummer, Ryan, our bassist, Walker. Yep. What number are we on? I think that's... Seven? That's seven?
Starting point is 00:07:00 Emma. Yep. Who's opening act? Eight. Tour manager? Tour manager nine. Security Tim. Yep.
Starting point is 00:07:07 That's ten. Is Ahmad? Probably, yeah. Morgan number two? That's 11. Unless you're going to do feet to face, laying in the bed, you can't come. Do you guys do that as kids?
Starting point is 00:07:18 Feet to face? Yes. You didn't want to lay in the bed next to them, so you laid opposite ways. Feet to face. just they didn't want to accidentally start, you know, face to face. Right. Front to front to front, butt to butt, you know.
Starting point is 00:07:30 With your cousin. That's how my daughter would sleep at the orphanage. Feet to face? Well, I assume they did feet to face. But she said sometimes they would, but a lot of times face to face, it was hard for her to, like, sleep alone. She always was, like, sleeping with girlfriends, like, in her bunk room. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:47 At the orphanage, it's, you know, I went, and it literally was a room with a bunch of bunk bed. smashed together. And her room was outside. Like if I was her, I would have been, and she said, I was like, were you ever scared? She was like, yeah, it was pretty scary. Because, like, at nighttime, she lived in, like, basically, like a picture,
Starting point is 00:08:06 like a makeshift outdoor room outside. She wasn't in the main house. Right. Ugh. But they get by. They do. Yeah. And they were pretty happy.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Yeah. I mean, other than her now admitting that, yeah, she's a little scared at night, but, yeah, she didn't really know the difference. Then she got here and had her own room in her own house. She was still scared. But now she's used to it finally, so we're good. Here's the text.
Starting point is 00:08:30 Bring back the game, Bobby, where you give them a word and they have to sing a song with that word. We didn't play that in a while. Wait, what? Eddie, your word is fire. Sing a song with it. We didn't start the fire. It was always burning since the world's been turning. Pretty good.
Starting point is 00:08:45 Yeah, that's good. Do one of me, Eddie. Okay, bones. Do. Girl. Girl. Hey there Hey girl, what's your name girl?
Starting point is 00:08:56 Okay. I don't know all the words. Billy Currington? Yeah. Hey there, hey girl. What's your name girl? You've been sitting there trying to eat a squirrel. I don't think those are the words.
Starting point is 00:09:06 Amy, you want to do one? Sing a song with boat. Buy me a boat. Oh, good. I want to buy me a truck to pull it. I want to buy me, find me a Yeti 1-10 ice cold beer. Silver bullet. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:09:20 Okay. Do a song with the word. word mitosis. You got it. You got it lunch. You can do this one. There is no song with mitosis. I don't know what that is.
Starting point is 00:09:28 All right. Do a song with the word beer. Sit right here and drink a beer. That's good. Morgan number two, if I said beer, you would do? Long neck, ice cold beer. Never broke my heart. Give me one more, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:09:47 All right, Bones. Let's do a hard one here. Okay. Let's do refrigerator. refrigerator. Yeah. What? Come on.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Guys, there are millions of songs. I wouldn't say millions. I would not say millions. You wouldn't say there are millions of songs in the world? With refrigerator in it? No. We can't think of one right now. I can't think of a refrigerator.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Okay, you want to get a little easier? Well, I mean, a lot easier because I can't think of a... Okay, hold on. Baseball. What? Baseball? Are you even thinking of song? No, I'm just saying words.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Take me out to the ball game. baseball. I don't think it says baseball. Eddie, I'm going to go O for two. What about the John Fulbertie song? You would say... Put me in... In Sinterfield? Yeah. Oh, Luke Combs has a song called Refrigerator Door. Thank you. Oh, a new one that came out in that last little pop songs.
Starting point is 00:10:35 That's an album cut. Okay, those are hard. You'd pick like a song that would say like water. Okay. Go. Don't go chase in waterfalls. Please stick to the rivers and the legs that you used to. Anything. Well, so...
Starting point is 00:10:50 I do have some questions here. Morgan number two sent me. Mike D, make note, we should play that. These are all from... Like the live stream and texting and... Got it. I not only love your show, but I love Bobby and Amy's accents. What accents would those be?
Starting point is 00:11:03 Are Britishes? Are Australians? Or are our normal ones? You're from Brooklyn. You're Arkansas, I'm Texas. Bobby's Mickey Mouse shirt is on point. Need the Jeep song now. Was that one that guy was talking about the Jeep?
Starting point is 00:11:17 Beep, beep. Yeah. Okay. What is Bobby's first? favorite song ever. Great question. Amy, what's my favorite song ever? John Mayer Stop the Strain. Ooh, probably close second. What? How many times have you said that your favorite song? It probably is there, but not my favorite song ever, I think. I think I've said this other song. Yeah. Willie Nelson? Do you know what lunchbox? Yeah, R. Em, everybody hurts.
Starting point is 00:11:43 I don't think I know this one. Eddie, you do. Mike D? Yeah, Mike D. wrote on the screen. He knows it. Oh, cute. Of course he does. Morgan number two, do you know it? My favorite song ever? No. Is it Garth? Yeah, a Garth Brooks song. When I say it, Eddie, you'll know.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Dang it. Well, I mean, how would I not know? Ain't no sunshine. Oh, yeah. Bill Withers? You guessed that one? You said that before. You're right.
Starting point is 00:12:10 But I don't know. John Mayer stop this train is very close, though. It's my favorite contemporary song. Okay, yeah. That's fair. Say your favorite old school, your favorite contemporary. No, that's my favorite song of all time. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:12:21 You still know it. Stop this train now is an older song. Okay, you guys stop fighting. I saw a rumor. This is from the feed that Morgan number two is pregnant. Is that true? What? No, I'm not pregnant.
Starting point is 00:12:33 Not even dating anybody. Why would they say that? You don't think anybody are pregnant? Okay, well, I don't even have any prospects or be pregnant. Has Jed from the Bachelor contacted the show after Bobby said would have him? He has not, right? Has he contacted us, Ramondo? Mike D?
Starting point is 00:12:47 No. Anything? Hold on one side. This thing, this is Adobe. I wonder if... Hold on, it might have stopped like 30 seconds ago. What are we still on the feed? We're still streaming.
Starting point is 00:12:59 Yeah. Yeah. Hold on. All right, I got to stop this so it's going to be like a gap or something. That's fine. Just going to do it. We're still on the feed. Let's see if Jed Wyatt still follows me on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Because he was following me before the whole mayhem happened. Jed Wyatt. And he still follows me. That's cool. By the way, I was probably his only accent. advocate too after the finale. Did you see that his ex reached out to Hannah?
Starting point is 00:13:28 It was just like, we can have a beer if you want to? If I was Hannah, I'd be like, shut up. Get in my face. Yeah, she's chasing it. Like they want to be friends? Chasing it a little too hard now. Like I get using it. I would have used it too.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Yes. I'm probably chasing it a little too hard now. Like, wait, like it's over. Just let it go. Yeah, like you had your moment. Now it looks like you're just desperate. Trust me, I've been desperate before. Desperate knows desperate, you know?
Starting point is 00:13:51 Yeah, a little too much. much. Jed sent me a message. What? From June 21st. Do you want to hear it? It was a while back. I wouldn't read it if it was like super personal. It goes June 21st.
Starting point is 00:14:07 So I think it was when I played his music a day and was like, oh, it's not so bad. It sounds like he's like a Civil War soldier. Yeah. July 21st. Jed and his brother Mark are fighting for the Confederacy. Dear mother. Brother, thank you for making my day. I needed some love.
Starting point is 00:14:24 I'm working on some new stuff in the studio currently would love to share it with you when it's all done. Hope all as well. It's from Jed Wyatt. That's before the whole, you know, the deal happened. Yeah. So, I was reading this book. I'm reading this book last night.
Starting point is 00:14:41 Something presidents? Yeah, did you see me? Yeah. So the book is called accidental presidents. It's about the eight people that weren't supposed to be the president. They were out of the vice president or, and they didn't win the office. but now they're president. Okay.
Starting point is 00:14:56 Fantastic book. I've only started it. If you like that kind of stuff. LBJ, one of them? Yeah, I'm not there yet. I just started it last night, so I'm still inside the first president. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:06 Which I believe was William Henry Harrison. I got to make sure this is right, but this is a crazy story if it is. I want to fact check it real quick. Yeah, who was his president? Tipi Cano and John Tyler. John Tyler. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:19 So, yeah, William Henry Harrison, get this. You ready for that? Yeah. I love this stuff. I just wanted to make sure that I got it right. He was only president for 30 days. That's it? What happened?
Starting point is 00:15:30 And he died. Oh, the stress. Whipping cough. Close. So what happens? Lock jaw. No, no, no. This is crazy.
Starting point is 00:15:37 So William Henry Harrison, by the way, an American military officer and politician who served as the ninth president of United States. So he died of typhoid, pneumonia, and paratifoid fever, 31 days into his term, as short as president ever. By the way, no one had ever Shortest serving. Yeah, shortest term ever.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Yeah, shortest serving president. And so what happened, what they really think happened is the sewage wasn't fixed near the White House and he was drinking the water and it killed him. No. That is so unfortunate. Some people say when he got up and did his inauguration, he stayed out and talked too long in the cold,
Starting point is 00:16:14 but they're like, no, really. They just, the White House didn't want to be embarrassed. That the sewage was running into the water and that's how he ended up dying. And when he died, his John Tyler in the Whig Party was the vice president. He didn't live in D.C. He was in Virginia, chilling hours away. And they didn't even have the Constitution saying the vice president should be the president.
Starting point is 00:16:39 So there was a big debate on, does the vice president become the president? Or is he still the vice president who's the acting president until we get a new president? It's crazy. So I was reading that last night. I couldn't believe the president died 30 days into office, 31 days in office. Didn't know that. Hey, can you update us every time you get to a new president? new president? Those stories are
Starting point is 00:16:54 awesome. I feel like it's awesome. I'm a nerd. I mean, it's, that's our country dude. I love that. I love that. I'm reading it now. And do you ever, you ever hear the saying, Tipa Kanoo and Tyler too? No. That was their slogan. And they were the Whig Party. Because back in the day, the Republican Party was basically the Democrats. They had the same thought. Like Abraham Lincoln was Republican, but that was really the Democrat
Starting point is 00:17:15 thought. Back then, the Whigs were, the Whigs won the Frickon presidency. Like all these parties were different than what they are now. So, but the Whigs won. They basically picked this dude. Wow. This John Tyler because they were like, well, he can win as Virginia.
Starting point is 00:17:29 And then he didn't. And he's just on as the vice president. He's living in a house hours away. They go to his house and knock on the door and they're like, old president's dead. And he's like, what? So they travel up and he's like, all right, I'm taking over. And it's about how the eight men, some of them terribly, like Andrew Jackson, they say it was the worst. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:48 See, I started researching him when you were telling me about that. And that's pretty crazy. They were like made the country go a terrible direction. direction, lots of hate, lots of, like, wasn't a good dude. So, anyway, I'm in the middle of it. It's good. I talk about books for a long time. Yeah. I like it. What are you reading?
Starting point is 00:18:05 I'm not. Not right now. Your kids' minds, hopefully. What are we reading? We're reading Beatrice. Her name starts with the bee, but she doesn't like to be called Beatrice. What is this? It's a book. Junie B. Jones? Yeah. We're reading those. That's what I read at night. Bobby.
Starting point is 00:18:22 you can come read maybe if I get that book it'll put my kids to sleep faster I don't know oh for sure they'd be like mom shut up I mean I find it interesting but they would be like what is this I just got a text from Kevin Legrette who is one of our national bosses the man and we write our peloton's against each other and I'm currently I'm really I'm better than he is but he's catching me he's getting good and he's trying to hit 400 total output and he hit to $3.92 for the first time. So he sends me a screenshots like, I almost got it. This is what we do.
Starting point is 00:18:56 So close. We motivate each other. Why don't you guys go real? Like real bikes? Because he lives in California. No, no, no, just like separately. Yeah, but that's so much. Like, why don't you go tour Tennessee and like...
Starting point is 00:19:07 Cycling is a lot of work. What are you talking about? It's in my bedroom. Like, he gets to just hop on his bike in his bedroom and like take fun classes. Like, Bobby and I both were bike riders once when we did triathlons. And it's a lot of work. You have to like get your shoes and your bike and your helmet. bike on your car. And then you got to drive.
Starting point is 00:19:23 The whole benefit of this, you just put your shoes on it in your room and jump on it. You don't want to do the Tour de France? No. What'd you call it? The Tour Tennessee? Yeah. Morgan number two, just text me? Yeah. What'd you ask me? They want to know what the title of your book is that you're reading. The title of my book is called, I think it's called
Starting point is 00:19:38 Accidental Presidents. Let me look. It's called Accidental Presidents. How'd you hear about that? I'm really into presidents and how some really pushed us in a good way and some really... Is that to prepare yourself for politics?
Starting point is 00:19:55 Sent us in a few steps back. Well, no, I read a lot of things about people's mistakes. I could see you in a debate once and be like, well... I'm glad you brought up William Henry Harrison. Timmy Canoe. Yeah. What was it? Tippecanoe and Tyler 2.
Starting point is 00:20:07 That was their slogan because Tipa Cano, he won the Battle of Tippa Canoe. And they would say, Tipa Canoe and Tyler 2, that was John Tyler. Yeah. It's catchy. Sort of like you have Hobby Lobby Bobby Bobby. the man of the people. What, Eddie? Well, I don't know if it helps, but when I watch these debates and they say stuff like that,
Starting point is 00:20:25 as John Tyler would say, tip a canoe, I'm like, wow, this guy knows his stuff. That could help you. It could. Be like, well, when I was dabbling in accidental presidents the other day. This will take me a while to read, though. I didn't know how thick it was and it came to the house. I'm praying it's like 180 pages. And I open it, I order it from Amazon.
Starting point is 00:20:45 It's like, oh, God. On just eight people? What's our stories? Wow, that's a lot. Yeah. I think that's it. Eddie and I get ahead to Chicago. We do, and I'm kind of stressing out.
Starting point is 00:20:58 My wife's giving me a honey-do list before we leave. Oh. Oh, gosh. And if you don't get it done, you can't go? No, it's not that. It's just like she needs stuff done before we leave. Like what? I get that.
Starting point is 00:21:08 A lot of the foster people are needing forms. And so I need to print a bunch out, and then I need a proof of registration, proof of all this stuff. And it's due to day. Be like, tip of a tippa cano and top. Tyler too. I get to that Monday. Yeah. I'm about to hit the road. We'll do it on Monday. Hey, Mike D
Starting point is 00:21:23 I do want to save Eddie's role playing. I know that's on the new schedule. Dude, the day went by the day and I'm like, yes. Mike did put it on my schedule, but Eddie role plays with his wife. No, it's not. No, you said, Amy, I've done that once or something. Yeah, it's like, remember I got
Starting point is 00:21:39 in the car, drove around the block and came up to the door, like, I'm going to take you out, baby. Right. Yeah. So we got to get into that. But we got a head to show. So long ago. Check out the new John Christ Bobbycast Not surprising
Starting point is 00:21:52 But I was Pleasantly pleased With the reaction on Instagram Of people like, I love John Christ He's a comedian, Christian comedian And he came over to the house And we just talk for an hour It's definitely one of those
Starting point is 00:22:06 Where it's not so much of an interview But it's just kind of us talking Yeah And when I finish those I'm always like I wonder if I talk too much Because sometimes When you kind of either are vibein or you know them, you're just talking.
Starting point is 00:22:20 And then we went for a while, but I liked it. I had a good time with them. John Christ, that's it. Monday, don't worry about it. Don't think about it. Movie quotes. Don't even come in with any. Just think of it.
Starting point is 00:22:32 Oh, I've already got a list of five right now. Eddie, here's a question for you. Hit me. Why did Eddie name both of his kids Eddie? Oh my gosh. It's just text. It's not their names. It's not their names.
Starting point is 00:22:42 He just don't want to say their names on the air. Correct. That's funny. I mean, I think I'm the one that sort of calling him Eddie Jr. and Eddie Jr. Immediately. Yeah. Immediately, I think I told it, like, yeah, I don't really want to say their names on air. And then you just call them junior and junior, junior, and now there's four.
Starting point is 00:22:56 So I guess if you want to go junior, junior, junior, junior. No, we don't. Okay, all right. Just checking. We're down. We don't. All right. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:23:02 See you guys on Monday. But here is Friday's show. Enjoy the show from Friday, August 2nd. Ray, are we back on for the podcast? Yeah, it'll just be about a 10-second drop off. I have the whole thing recorded. I just put the drop off. I like, that's real.
Starting point is 00:23:17 What's happening in there? because yeah we had something yesterday. Well, I used to have two computers and two keyboards and two mousees, which was perfect, but it wasn't technologically advanced. Now we're technologically advanced, so it's all in one computer. And if I click a mouse or a button, Adobe just randomly stops. And it didn't do it for two weeks, but now all of a sudden in the last two days it's done it twice. But that's technology. It's advanced.
Starting point is 00:23:39 So this is the new wave, y'all. I'm getting used to it. Why are you talking like that? I don't know. Give me my two keyboards and my two mousees and my 10 computer screens. I'll go back to 2019 January when I had all that crap in an old studio. He sounds unhappy.
Starting point is 00:23:55 I think he just wants it. Yeah. I think he's frustrated. Yeah. That's what it sounds like. That's a good way of saying about it. But hey, it's all on one screen now, baby. He sounds like a disgruntled older person

Starting point is 00:27:16 Morning. Over on the phone is Erica in Florida. Erica, Florida. Thanks for calling the show. What's happening? Hi. I'm a first-time caller. Thank you very much.
Starting point is 00:27:25 I want to say that I love your show But I was I was calling because I think that it's awesome That you were honest about what you were looking for In a girl On your Twitter tweet Because I mean if there is someone who kind of has their eye on you They They kind of get a heads up of what you're looking for
Starting point is 00:27:43 And I mean I think that's That's awesome that you are honest about what you want And not cheesy or Or kind of saying what everyone's hoping that you'll say Yeah well thanks I was asked the question. What am I looking for? Yeah, you were honest, and I think that an honest answer is the best answer, honestly.
Starting point is 00:28:01 Thank you very much. Well, I appreciate that. The support of our listeners is what makes the world go around for me. I don't think, Morgan number two, can you read again what I answered back? Because again, I was just, as they say, going off the dome. They're like, hey, what are looking forward in a girl? Yeah, but I think even if you really had time to think about it, those would be solid answers. Read to me what I said back.
Starting point is 00:28:21 You wanted somebody that's smart? Yeah, of course. Absolutely. Physically fit. Yes. Reads books. Someone who's all about you but not all about you. It's a tough one.
Starting point is 00:28:31 And then independent, so independent that it drives you crazy. Right. Okay. It's not the easiest. And I may have to settle. It's not impossible. But okay. At this, at I'm 39 now, that's not impossible.
Starting point is 00:28:44 I feel like it's going to be really hard for them to be so independent. It drives you crazy because, I mean, you're just going to love it. Like, when do you get to the point that it drives you crazy? I can't imagine Of what aspect That just That means that they're so independent I don't know
Starting point is 00:29:02 When you're in a relationship with someone Literally she's going to have to like Not rely on you for anything Yeah, awesome Exactly That's what you want Okay Yeah
Starting point is 00:29:13 But I know it's gonna drive you crazy Well like it's like Come on give me a little time for me But then I'm like Oh it's awesome you don't have any time for me It's a tough line to walk Why is you thinking independence In like certain emotional scenarios
Starting point is 00:29:23 It's like when you're in a relationship, you can rely on your best friend, your partner for all kinds of support, not just time. Yeah, I'm there for that too. Okay. Yeah. Let's see. I'm looking at my list of things to talk about. I sent my, well, I mean, I'm sending my dog to training for a week in like three weeks. And he goes off.
Starting point is 00:29:40 And I was like, I'm going to leave so I could either put him in a doggy daycare for a week or send him to boot camp, basically, which is what I'm going to do. But last night, I took him, the pet store, one of the pet stores in town has like, you can go and do your first day of training. My dog's out of control. I took them like an hour and a half. And I thought maybe we could do some bike training, but they didn't have that. We did the lease training. But he basically played with the dogs the whole time.
Starting point is 00:30:02 It was exhausted. It was awesome. So, so he came home tired. Not only that, I woke him up this morning. He was just like, I just want to lay down.
Starting point is 00:30:10 I'm still tired. It was awesome. That's good. I need like a big hamster wheel for this dog. Did they make those? I don't, they should. They should just put them in it,
Starting point is 00:30:18 put a piece of food up there and have them just chase that piece of food and wear himself down. But I did that. can't stop it. He's not stopping the chewing yet. Everybody says it's going to grow out of it. I'm going to play Amy's husband a racquetball this weekend. He tell you? No. We kind of made a date. He hasn't even practiced yet. He's going to hit the court already. He said he was real good. I know. I'm worried about this. Like, I know. I just, I'm telling you, the fact that I never even knew he played racquetball. I'm kind of worried about this.
Starting point is 00:30:46 Who would you root for it? Your dearest friend and co-host me? I know. Are your husband? I have to choose my husband. What? What? I know. I have to. But I am, I mean, this could be... You just hoping for an injury-free game? No, I hope that he's right, that he's like really good, or he's, it's not like he's just thinking back to way back then. Well, I was thinking back to way back then. I haven't played since college. But he texts me, and this is what he said. He said, don't have anything to do, but church on Sunday. Let's do it.
Starting point is 00:31:17 So what day are you all going to do it? Probably Sunday, so I'm saying. Oh, okay. Hey, Raymondo. Do you play racquetball? I really don't. I play baseball though and kind of tennis. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:26 I guess should we come and watch? No. You can't really watch. I mean, I guess you get up on the top. It'd be boring. Okay. It'd be boring. It'd be boring watching me crush your husband
Starting point is 00:31:34 and your kids losing all their faith in their father. I feel like I need to video. Here's the Bobby Bones show podcast. Highlight segment of the day. A woman gave birth in the backseat of a taxi cab and the driver's reaction was pretty funny. Priceless. He asked for extra tip money to watch the car.
Starting point is 00:31:49 Here, here's a clip of that. Oh my gosh, she's coming out. The head is in my hand. Oh, she's literally coming out. Yeah, but you have to breathe. Oh! That's it, boy. Just put your kid.
Starting point is 00:32:05 You go to put your kid. That's a shut it down. The baby's off. The boy that's at the sea. God bless the baby. Boom. With Gucci. Put a hookbell with a little extra for the car wash, man.
Starting point is 00:32:16 Man, I don't think this going to happen. Oh, he said, I'm broke. I didn't think this is going to happen. Oh, no. Oh, no. Oh, no. What? No, oh man.
Starting point is 00:32:28 You got to admire the hustle, the cab driver. That's good. He said the baby's all right. Just move the legs off the seat. We're driving. Everything's done. You got that S done. God bless the baby.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Then he said, boom, we're Gucci. Yeah, I thought I heard that. So is it the cab driver that said boomer Gucci or the baby daddy? I thought it was the dad that said boomer Gucci. Yeah. Anyway, she said, I gave birth in the car. By the end of the video, the driver tells the man, you better hook me up a little extra for the car wash me.
Starting point is 00:32:54 Yeah. And then he said, I'm broke. I didn't plan on this at me? Oh no. Kelsey Ballerini's coming up just a second. Kelsey Balerini on the way. On Monday we're going to do a draft and I have a few options here. We're either going to do the lead singer draft
Starting point is 00:33:10 the movie quotes, best movie quotes of all time draft. Oh wow. Okay. Or condiments. I mean, do we get to vote right now? Which one we want to do? Amy, I'm going to go to you. What do you think? Movie quotes.
Starting point is 00:33:28 lead singer movie quotes or condiments. Movie quotes. All right. Okay, I'm down with that. We'll do movie quotes on Monday, Mikey. We had planned to go lead singer, which I think is a good one too. I like that one. But we'll do movie quotes.
Starting point is 00:33:42 I went over to Amy for her pick. Oh, sorry, guys. No, no. That's okay. It's all about you. Get to it, right? No, we'll get, yeah, it's not like it's not going to happen. You won the last one, is why I went to you.
Starting point is 00:33:50 Oh, okay. It's not all about you, but you won the last one, so I went to you and you got to pick. Thank you. There you go. We'll do our, the best movie quotes of all. all time on Monday, and Lunchbox will have the first draft pick on Monday. We'll do that at 840 Eastern, 740 Central. And that way we have the whole weekend, because movie quotes is more difficult than
Starting point is 00:34:07 thinking of, like, one person. I already got my first round. Me too, in my head a little bit. Yeah, me too. I just can't quit you. Oh, that was mine. Except for that's not exactly what they say. That was mine.
Starting point is 00:34:17 Well, it still can be. You'll go second in the draft. No, I got to find a new one now. How did we both come up with that one? That's weird that was y'all's. Can you guess mine? Well, in every draft, I go Brokeback Mountain. Like I did...
Starting point is 00:34:28 Oh, you do? That's right. Okay. I try to find... Like, if we do best mountains, and be like, well, the ones for Brokeback Mountain. We do a mountain draft.
Starting point is 00:34:38 Best horse. The one for Brokeback Mountain. Best Heath. Well, Heath Ledger from Brokeback Mountain. Of course. Yes. Kelsey Ballerini's on. We should ask her this question.
Starting point is 00:34:48 Hey, Kelsey. Good morning. Hey, where are you right now? I'm in Chicago. Hey, we're in Chicago tonight. Did you know that? I didn't. Are you playing a show in Chicago?
Starting point is 00:34:58 I popped up at Lala last night. Oh yeah. Oh, that's cool. Who did you pop up with? Chain smokers? I did. It was so much fun. You know, I've never obviously played Lala before, so I didn't really realize that it was that massive of like a festival.
Starting point is 00:35:15 It was crazy. For us that are not as cool as Kelsey, she's talking about Lala Palooza. We got to add the Palluza. If you haven't been, you got to add the Paloosa. Palluza. How long are you in Chicago? I leave in like an hour. Oh, then never mind.
Starting point is 00:35:31 We're playing like a Pernicus Theater tonight. You can come and pop up with us. That would have been a good idea. I would have loved it. I'm sorry, I would have loved it. Kelsey Ballerini is on. Here, we're going to ask you the question we're talking about. We do a draft on our show.
Starting point is 00:35:43 What's your favorite movie quote of all time? If you had to draft, your favorite movie quote of all time. Think about that. Oh, my gosh. Well, the first thing that comes to mind, because it's early and having that coffee, is super random. It's from a Cinderella story. Just get ready.
Starting point is 00:36:01 And it's Hillary Duss to Chad Michael Murray. And I don't know why this is what's popping up. But it's something along the lines with like waiting for you is like waiting for rain and this drought, hopeless and disappointing. Because I was like, oh, she just got him. You remember that whole quote from that movie. I don't know why. I don't know why.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Look at you. Kelsey Ballerini is on. ask you this question. When do we get the first song from all the new stuff that you've been recording? You have it, and you're going to have it like in a couple of weeks. Okay. You don't have to give me an exact day, but in the next few weeks
Starting point is 00:36:42 we'll be able to hear a new song from your third album that you've been working on. Yeah, I'm really excited, guys. Is it more exciting to play Paloosa? What's you call? Lala. Is it more excited to play Lala or to put out a new song? Huh? More excited to play La La or put out a new song?
Starting point is 00:37:00 Oh, put out a new song. Okay, all right. Continue on with your story. Yeah. Like, playing this feeling with the change smokers has been, like, so much fun. But it's not my song, you know? I didn't write it. So to be able to, like, keep investing in stuff that I've written is obviously, like, the stuff that I'm choked about.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Give me one word in the title of the next song. Just one word. Oh, my God. Just one? I'm not asking for the whole title. Just give me one word, Kelsey. Come on. Home. Home. I knew it. I knew it was going to be a song about home. Yeah. What do we think of title list? Let's guess the title. Coming home? Oh, yeah. I bet it's called I love home fries. Oh. Yeah. Good one. Yeah. What do you think,
Starting point is 00:37:40 name? Yeah. Home run. Oh, hit now. Okay. Home is where the heart is. Oh, home boy. These are all good titles. I'm just going to put it in my notes and go write them. I think about that. Okay. Kelsey Ballerini is on. She will be on CMA Fest performing on Sunday night, ABC 87 Central, and she will be hosting CMA Fest at 877 on ABC. I am also on the show. So tell me something about this show. What's it like walking on that big old stage in Nashville
Starting point is 00:38:09 and performing in front of like your hometown? I've been nervous. Like the last, I've gotten to be on that stage for like four years now. And I think that there's just half of me feels like, you know what, this is the kind of crowd that no matter what, if I trip, if I mess with a word, whatever, like, they're going to have me because they, they love country music and they know these songs and they are there for the artists that are here.
Starting point is 00:38:39 And then half of me is like, ooh, these are like, these are the biggest fans of country music. Don't trip and don't forget a word, you know? I think there's like an equal balance of nerves and then just comfort. There she is. From Chicago, Kelsey Ballerini. Say one thing nice about your co-host, Thomas Rett. He's like my brother
Starting point is 00:39:00 I mean I feel like we say that all the time But we just We've gotten to know each other so much Over the last like four years And to be able to just kind of Be able to holler at him When I have a question Or want to celebrate
Starting point is 00:39:13 Or want to be like insecure It's awesome to be able to just like Pick up the phone And know that I have a you know Like a lifeline with him Now don't get out of this next question Say one thing Can you say one thing not nice
Starting point is 00:39:25 About your other co-host Bobby Bones Like say something that's not super pleasant about me. I would encourage you to do that. I haven't met your dog yet and I'm very unhappy. That's the route she goes. I was really looking for some good gossip, you know? Okay. I don't have it.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Kelsey Ballerini, in a couple weeks, we'll have her new song, which is called Down by the Home Bay. Homebound. Home for sale. Home where the heart is. Homeward bound. Okay. Kelsey, good to talk to you. Have a safe trip back home. And tell them more than we say hello. Have fun of Chicago tonight.
Starting point is 00:39:57 All right, we will. Bye Kelsey. There she is. Kelsey Bell. Yeah. A long time friend. Breaking news. Her song has the word home in it.
Starting point is 00:40:08 Okay, good. Homer. Oh. Home run. Simpson. Ooh. What if that was the song? Homer Simpson and me.
Starting point is 00:40:16 What have we guessed it? And she's like, I'm just walking down the street with my friend. Do. The Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got to?
Starting point is 00:40:27 over there. In military news, President Donald Trump is set to withdraw thousands of troops from Afghanistan. This is part of a peace deal. At the Baltimore airport, TSA agents found another rocket launcher in a passenger's checked bag. This is the second time this has happened in the last week there.
Starting point is 00:40:43 Officials said these don't pose a threat to the public as people bringing them home from overseas. And finally, CMA Fest is Sunday at 8.7 Central on ABC, tune in. I'll read you the headline to a new story from this week. You tell me if it's real or if it's fake.
Starting point is 00:41:02 Okay. Amy, you're up first. A massive brawl breaks out on a cruise ship and plates went flying. Now, a little bit about the story. A massive brawl broke out and passengers were using furniture and plates as weapons. At least six people were assaulted when a late-night brawl erupted on board a cruise ship. Wow. Amy, what do you think about that real or fake?
Starting point is 00:41:26 Man, sounds real and crazy. I knew there was a fire on a ship recently. Maybe that they're what started the fire. I'm going real. She says real. The answer is real. There it is. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:39 Lunchbox. A man has to be rescued after he climbs 40 feet to save his pet lion that got stuck. Listen to this. The Idaho Department of Fish and Game personnel had to remove a mountain lion and his owner from a public park in the small community of Benita and Franklin County. The mountain lion escaped from the man's home, so he followed up the tree. He called the cops once you realize he also wasn't going to be able to get down.
Starting point is 00:42:05 So the headline is man has to be rescued after he climbs 40-foot tree to save his pet mountain lion that got stuck. Oh, man, this is a tough one because those people in Idaho, they do some weird stuff, but I don't think mountain lions can climb a tree, so I'm saying that's fake. I'm not sure if mountain lions can climb a tree or not, but it is fake. That's correct. Wow, a lot of detail for a fake story.
Starting point is 00:42:25 That's what you've got to watch out for. By the way, this is, A, oh, it didn't work. A Mike D. Special. My buttons aren't working over here. Everything's frozen. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:42:36 A Florida woman fights with boyfriend at restaurant, Eddie. Pays for everyone's bill with his credit card. Oh, that's, is there more of the story? Yeah. Oh.
Starting point is 00:42:46 For the other two there were, so for yours, there's going to be a little more too. He's got to pay attention, you know. He's kind of fit in. All right. A woman got to an argument
Starting point is 00:42:53 with her boyfriend while out at at dinner at P.F. Chang's in Gainesville, Florida. P.F. Chings. She got upset with him. After he took it up on himself to place her dinner order for her. Never do that.
Starting point is 00:43:05 He said she needed to watch her calorie intake according to her. After dinner, she told him she left her cell phone at the table and secretly took his credit card and had the waiter charge everyone's meal to his card. And now they're married. That's amazing. What are you thinking about that? Florida woman fights with boyfriend pays for everyone's bill with the credit card. Is that real or fake?
Starting point is 00:43:22 It's too bizarre. This is so crazy that it has to be real. He says real. the answer is fake. No. Man, that would be such a good real story. You got me. Hopefully that inspires someone to do that.
Starting point is 00:43:35 No. And Mountain Lions can climb trees just so you know. Amy, are you ready? Yes. A man is jailed for 50 minutes in shortest ever prison sentence. That's the headline. A man was given what is believed to be the shortest prison sentence of all time at 50 minutes. The 23-year-old appeared in court after he smashed his former partner's window with a broom
Starting point is 00:43:57 and then fled from police. He was told to use this time in custody to write letters of apology. In the cell, he was given a pen and paper and wrote two letters, which the judge made him read out in court. In the letter, he said, I'm sorry for breaking your window. Is that real or fake? Mike D went into a lot of detail making that up. The answer is, it's real.
Starting point is 00:44:20 I'm sorry. That's the kind of sentence I want. Yeah, like how is that even teach somebody a lesson? Lunchbox. You can now buy a pair of shoes that will walk on their own. Whoa. A company called APX Footwear has created what they call a self-walking shoe. They say it started as an idea from one of their interns who drew inspiration from tiny wind-up shoe toys.
Starting point is 00:44:43 You know the little bit, n-n-d-n-d-d-da- yeah, I know what you're talking about. The auto-walking shoes also come with auto-lacing technology and will retail soon at about $300. Is that real or fake? they will automatically walk. I mean, so like if you're across the room and you say walk to me, they'll come to you. I don't know if that's the case. Maybe you put them on your feet.
Starting point is 00:45:05 I would assume it's put them on your feet. The self-walking shoes use tiny motors on the soles and the hill to get your feet moving in effortless movement. So I don't think they walk to you. I think you have them on. They assist you self-walking. Man, you got me on this one.
Starting point is 00:45:21 I am so confused, but I'm going to say that's real. He says real. The answer is, fake. Did you just make up that last part? Don't worry about what we're making it up over here. Because I felt like lunchbox asked a question and it wasn't on the paper. So Bobby acted like, oh, let me see.
Starting point is 00:45:36 It got an engine. Eddie, you get one more question. You can tie it up for the whole. A man kill snake that bit him by biting it back. This is a real story. A real story of a fake story. A man who was bitten by a snake got his revenge on the reptile by biting it back and killing it. The man was relaxing at home enjoying a drink
Starting point is 00:45:57 When a snake slithered into his house and bit him The man's family took him to a hospital Where the media said his condition was critical But he's gonna be okay The snake that bit him was reported to have been a rat snake Which experts regard as usually non-venomous Real or fake Eddie All right, you said something really important in that
Starting point is 00:46:15 Go ahead You said he was sitting there and enjoying a drink So he must have been a little drunk You're only gonna buy a snake back if you're drunk I say it's real Oh, you say it's real Yeah The answer is
Starting point is 00:46:25 Come on. Real. Yeah. You all tied. I think everybody got one and missed one. Yeah. Is that about right? It's a fun game.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Hey, hit me with that Mike D special. It's a Mike D special. A Mike D special. Nice job, Mike D on that game right there. Especially with the fake stories, Mike D, good job. I'm disappointed in my believing that shoes could make you walk. Oh, so dumb. I mean.
Starting point is 00:46:44 So dumb. Like, no shoe can make you walk. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University. Well, one of my favorite segments is when we talk about the history of country music. And I've been given the nickname. Country music's youngest historian. Now, I've been being hit on the text line a little bit going, hey, you're 39. You're not so young anymore. Yeah, but you're still young. For historians? Yep. They're all like 79. Mm-hmm. That's a young historian.
Starting point is 00:50:19 You are country music's youngest historian. That's right. Here we go. The Bobby Bones Show. On this day in country music. On this day in 1998, which is 21 years ago, Garth Brooks reached number one of the country char, with in my opinion one of the best Garthbrook songs of all times,
Starting point is 00:50:36 it's not even really a Garthbrook song. It's so good. Oh, what is it? Make you feel my love? Boom, to make you feel my love. I'd go crawl down the aisle. There ain't nothing to make you feel my love. Maybe who is the original artist of that song?
Starting point is 00:51:00 Harry Connick Jr. No. He probably did it, but no. How about? No. Bob Dylan. Oh my gosh. Wait, hey.
Starting point is 00:51:16 Don't disrespect. Okay, sorry. One of the greatest songwriters of our... Ever. Ever. Ever. Yeah. Make you feel my love is a songwritten.
Starting point is 00:51:30 by Bob Dylan from his album Time Out of Mind. And there's that. Then Billy Joel snagged the track, making a slight tweak to it, calling it to make you feel my love. He then recorded it and released it for commercial hit on his greatest hits three. Here we go. Here's Billy Joel's version. Garth Brooks's version appeared on what movie, Amy?
Starting point is 00:52:01 Hope looks. Boom. Nailed it. That's right. That's why I said Harry Connick Jr. Oh, he's in it. He's in it. We just thought you were going random.
Starting point is 00:52:09 Did you know the Hope Floats reference? I knew that was on the song. In the movie. Oh, I didn't. 1998, Hope Floats. A Grammy nomination for Best Male Country Vocal Performance and a nomination for Bob Dylan for Best Country Song. Here it is.
Starting point is 00:52:24 Let's play a little more of To Make You Feel My Love from Garth Brooks. I'd go crawling down the aisle. There ain't nothing that I would. 1998 on this day, it's number one in the country chart. to make you feel my love. And that is today in country music. Wabam.
Starting point is 00:52:46 That was. On this day in country music. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two, 30 second skinny. Thomas Wrette, Kelsey Ballerini, and our own Bobby Bones are hosting the CMA Music Festival special. It airs this Sunday on ABC at 8-7 Central. Make sure to not only watch for artist performances, but also Bobby, special hosting. Dirk Spently visited the Today Show and left with a new family member.
Starting point is 00:53:12 He adopted a puppy during a segment on air. It's a border collie mixed and the pup is named Goose. We've got new music out today. Luke Combs dropped a song called Let's Just Be Friends and it's for the new Angry Birds movie too. Durbin dropped an acoustic version of his song, We Were. We were and the jackets hanging on to a holiday to her beats in the whole night. Both feet hanging out over the... Then another new song out today, Riley Greens.
Starting point is 00:53:51 I wish grandpas never died. I wish honky talks didn't have no closing time. I wish grandpas never died. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:54:12 I have a Keanu Reeve story. Oh, everybody's set up tall. Yeah. My boy, Kigano. The internet's boyfriend. America's most beloved actor. Go ahead. Okay.
Starting point is 00:54:22 So he was photographed, hopping out of his car, so he could autograph a handmade sign that read, Your Breathtaking. Yeah, I think he was going... I think I know. I know this story. Let me not act like I'm not dialed into this. He was going to shoot Bill and Ted 3,
Starting point is 00:54:38 and they were on the side of the road, holding the sign up in Louisiana. Yeah. Am I accurate on all these points? You are. And he got out of the car, stopped the car and went out and signed this. You know what he signed?
Starting point is 00:54:47 Stacey. I guess he said, name. Stacy, Stacy, your breathtaking. Kiana Reeves. Maybe a little too much depending on her age. How old was she? That's true. Don't know. You know what? She was defined as a sweet fan. I bet she was the right age. Yes, I'm sure he knew. Not right. Gosh, he's perfect. He's great. I love Bill and Ted's excellent adventure. One of my favorite movies of my childhood. One. Yeah, and I learned a lot. I learned about socrates. Socrates. Beef oven. Beef oven.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Honest Dave. Yeah. Hey, Blinket. It's a good. Your kids may like that to learn history. Okay. Socrates is Socrates. Beethovin is Beethoven. They're idiots. And they have to go back in time to get these people to make their presentation. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:43 So they can graduate. Yeah. So they go and Ted's bogus journey. How was that? I never watch that. I thought it was pretty good. It wasn't as good as the first one. but I thought it was pretty good. And then now they're making Bill and Ted 3 where they're the dads.
Starting point is 00:55:52 Wow. Wild stallions. Wild stallions. 69. Yeah. There you go. That's a good story though. You should watch that.
Starting point is 00:56:03 I will. Eddie, you've got to watch 8 Mile. Yeah. It's on my list. And I found it on demand for free, so there's no reason why I shouldn't watch it. Amy Bell and Ted's excellent adventure. Eddie 8 Mile. 8 Mile.
Starting point is 00:56:15 All right. Amy, that's what it's all about. Writing it down. Boom. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobbi Bones Show. Boney Up the Day. This story comes to us from Belfast, Maine.
Starting point is 00:56:27 An 18-year-old is facing numerous charges after him and his friends decided to destroy some porter potty. They lined them up in the street. They're like, dude, ram them with your truck. Ram them with your truck. So the dude's like, okay. Boom. Ra, boom.
Starting point is 00:56:41 And he sent poop and pee all over the streets. And they got busted because they filmed it and put it on social media. Okay, devil's advocate Kind of fun Kind of hilarious If you do it and don't post it Did you even do it? Right
Starting point is 00:56:53 Like you shouldn't do it That's where they became boneheads When they posted it? I know Maybe just show up to your friends In your phone for a while Statute of limitations Then you post on social media
Starting point is 00:57:02 But you don't do it First of all Somebody's got to pay for that too It's true It sounds like something You would do lunchbox Oh, porter pot I mean I never mess with Portopodies
Starting point is 00:57:11 Because they are disgusting But we have When someone got in it Kind of shook it Like to scare them They're going to get tipped But we never tipped it because that's over the line.
Starting point is 00:57:18 What do you call them? Porta Potties. Say it slower. Porta Potties? Porta Potty. What are you calling? Pordo? No, when he says it fast, it's Porter Potties.
Starting point is 00:57:27 Porta. What are you in that? If I were a company, maybe you call them Porter Potty's, Porter Potty. That's funny. Porter or Porta Potty. All right, there you go. That's good.
Starting point is 00:57:36 That's good story. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the day. I meant to do this yesterday, but I hate to waste a good game. You know what I mean? Yeah. This is a Mike D. Special.
Starting point is 00:57:49 Here we go. A Mike D. Special. I'm supposed to do it yesterday. Today is August 2nd. But since it's the first of the month, just humor me. Okay? Let's see if you can name these famous firsts. All right, let me get a little game music here, Ramundo.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Ready, Amy. Ready. What was the first music video played on MTV? Video killed the radio star. That's correct. Good job, Amy. Thanks. He sings this, funds.
Starting point is 00:58:17 The Buggles. Okay. Yeah. Video killed the radio star. Lunchbox, what was the first film to make one billion dollars? The first. He's famous first because today is, well, the day after August first. A billion dollars?
Starting point is 00:58:34 Yeah. Oh, gosh. I don't know if Titanic, that would have been a lot. I'm going to go Titanic just because that was big, but I don't know if a billion. Titanic is correct. There you go. Oh, wow. Yes.
Starting point is 00:58:46 Eddie, who is the first person to discover electricity? I don't know why my brain just goes to Thomas Edison. Benjamin Franklin. I'm sorry, that's incorrect. The kite. Famous first, Amy. Who was the first country artist to sell 10 million albums? Softball.
Starting point is 00:59:08 Garth Brooks. Correct. Garbrick. Garbrough. Lunchbox. What was the first radio station that Radio Famer Bobby Bones worked at? Oh, if you don't know this, dude just get up and leave.
Starting point is 00:59:26 No, no, no, hold on. It's coming to me. It's in Arkansas. Well, yeah. Well, I know he listened to Kisten 96, but did he work there? Why is K-L-A-Z in my head, too? Oh, gosh.
Starting point is 00:59:49 Oh, Bobby, I know you're a big fan. I'm going to go KLAZ. The answer is KLAZ. Yeah. Woo. Eddie, who is the first president to live in the White House? Oh, that's
Starting point is 01:00:03 honest Dave. No, it's John Adams. Wow. Washington did it. Really? Did anyone know that? Nope. I did. It's a White House. I wasn't talking to you. I mean, what a bummer. George Washington missed out. Yeah, it wasn't there yet. Not just missed out,
Starting point is 01:00:18 but like said, hey, let's build a White House. Like, he was a reason. But then by the time it got done. being constructed, he didn't get to live in this anymore. But he could have, because George Washington also said, I don't want to be king, because they wanted to continue having him as president. And he's like, no, terms, I'm done. You got to
Starting point is 01:00:31 move me out. So he could have lived in the White House had he wanted to. Cool. What's the first color of the rainbow, Amy? Oh, shoot. Golly. Is first considered the one on top or the one on... I would say the one on the bottom. Oh,
Starting point is 01:00:48 top? You're saying top, Mike D? Bottom, interesting. Red. Red is right. Boom. Roy G. Biv. I don't... What?
Starting point is 01:00:54 Yeah. Roy G. Biv. Red, orange, yellow, green, blue. Violet. Violet. Or ends in violet. I knew that red was on top. Purple was on bottom.
Starting point is 01:01:04 There you go. Who made the first American flag lunchbox? That's my girl, Betsy Ross. Correct. Let's do one more. Eddie. What was the first song that Dancing with the Stars champion, Bobby Bones, dance to?
Starting point is 01:01:16 Oh. The last season of Dancing with the Stars. Oh, the first song? It would be... Oh, it's from the movie The Greatest Showman On Earth That's incorrect. That's the last one.
Starting point is 01:01:32 That was the last one. Oh, okay, the first one was Trou, U-L-E. Oh, yeah. Wow! In that red suit, I was freaked out. I blacked out as it was happening. I fell down. Wow, that just came all back right now.
Starting point is 01:01:45 There you go. Today's August 2nd. I wanted to get to that game yesterday on August 1st. We didn't have time. Famous Firsts. There you have it. Do you have fun? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:52 We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun. Who sings that? Billy Ray Cyrus. Really? Look it up. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Fun fact Friday. I always forget about this and I'm always so excited for Fun Fact Friday,
Starting point is 01:02:10 where you will keep feeding us fun facts until they're not fun anymore. Right. Ready? Fun fact number one. So that little layer of chocolate in between the wafers and a Kit Kat bar is actually recycled Kit Katz. So when Kit Katz come out at the factory that don't look quite right or something's off,
Starting point is 01:02:29 like it's not packageable and sellable, they're ground up into that little paste and then reused in future bars. Oh, that's cool. Oh, is that fun to you? They don't waste it. If you had fun, we'll go to the next one. I feel like that's fun.
Starting point is 01:02:40 They're not wasteful. Fun fact number two. So connections, this one I thought this is great for Bobby and it makes so much sense. Connections between the right and left sides of the brain are faster in left-handed people. Bobby's left-handed.
Starting point is 01:02:54 It means the information is transferred faster, making left-handers more efficient in dealing with multiple things going on in their brain at once. That's you, except for you have brain fog right now. Right now, I'm foggy like crazy. I'm driving a night with fog. I got the fog lights on. I'm trying to find it.
Starting point is 01:03:09 I know. Is there any, you still feel the same about it? So foggy right now. Can't even see you because of the fog. Hey, can you guess when McDonald sells most of their fillet of fish sandwiches. Yeah. I'm going to guess
Starting point is 01:03:23 McDonald's would sell most of their filet of fish sandwiches during fish in season. Nope. During Lint. Yeah, that's when we would. I mean, that's the only time
Starting point is 01:03:33 we ate fish filet o fish. Yeah. It was during Lent? Yeah. On Friday, you can't eat meat. So for that 40 days, McDonald sells a chunk of their fish sandwiches
Starting point is 01:03:41 for the whole year, like makes up in that. I don't partake in Lent. Right. I don't give up for Lent, so I don't do Lent. I live Lent, dude. I give up things all the time every day.
Starting point is 01:03:52 And is given up me just a Catholic thing? I think so. I think it is. And I grew up. Me and Lunchbox grew up Catholic. I'm still Catholic. Right. All right.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Amy, what else you got? Well, jails in Brazil? Get this. They reduce the sentences of their prisoners by four days, up to 48 days a year for every book they read and write a report on it. You read a book, you write a report, you get four days off your sentence. I can relate. Back when I was in second grade, we had this thing where if you read a book,
Starting point is 01:04:19 Booker order report. You got free pizza. Pisa. Pisa. Book it. Personal pan. Yeah. So I get what those prisoners are going through. Same thing. It's awesome. What else, Amy? Oh, you still want me to go going with fun facts. Yeah, remind me of my childhood days. I would dominate Bucket. I would dominate. I hated people. I had like 11 personal pan pizzas. I had so many I couldn't get to town enough to cash them all in.
Starting point is 01:04:40 My life was great. I had, I was like the Jeff Bezos of personal fan pizzas. I had so much pizza. I had a pizza jet. Who were you? That's great. What else? Okay, so there are no words in the dictionary that rhyme with orange, purple, and month. There are almost rhymes because we've written songs and rhymed orange and M&M's done it before, but not pure rhymes, you're right. But what, I know.
Starting point is 01:05:08 Like orange, I would go like forage. Yeah, like, that's the first thing you know right. Or porridge. You could do it in a song. Or storage? In any of that. Exactly. No, it's hard, though.
Starting point is 01:05:18 Purple. What would I rhyme with purple? if I were doing an almost rhyme. Murple? Here I come. I'm having some purple. Steve Virkle. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:05:24 That's it. That's an almost rhyme. I'm a writer. Yep, yep. And what was the other one? Month. Month. Month.
Starting point is 01:05:31 There's a lot of, it's just the uh sound, right? When you do the almost rhyme, you just find that set. So month, it could be anything like shut or bunt. Oh, a bun. I hear that. Any of the uhs is how you had a hard one. That's a hard one, though. Month is hard.
Starting point is 01:05:45 You maybe. I'm going to do a whole song. Right. I'm in a month. All right. All right. What else, Amy? So y'all want to find out if you're an adult or not, because these are the five things that make you officially an adult.
Starting point is 01:05:55 All right. Number five on the adult list. Here we go. Drum roll, please, Ramundo. Investing in a 401K. I think I got that going. Do you? I think so.
Starting point is 01:06:04 I think it's built into what we do now at the company. Then they just take money and put it over there. So yes, I'm an adult. Number four. Working on your credit score. Like, it's something you think about. I dominate that. Check it every day.
Starting point is 01:06:17 That's why it goes down because I'm always checking it. Yeah, I got to, you do that, Amy? Yeah, it's pretty good. My husband and I like it when we get them in the mail because we like see who's, because it fluctuates sometimes and we're like, who won this time? We try to skip competition. Number three? Doing your own taxes.
Starting point is 01:06:34 I don't do my own taxes. But you take care of them. Yeah, I mean, I do my taxes. My mom used to do mine. It was amazing. Yeah, I don't do my own taxes. Number two. Buying a house.
Starting point is 01:06:45 Yeah. And number one thing of being. an adult is simply having a budget. Yeah, I mean, I live with, I don't keep, since I'm single, no kids, so I don't keep on a piece of paper what I can spend where, but I know what my budgets are per month. And I don't really spend anything other than house payment, car payment, groceries, and it's all the same. No, for fun. Like, what do you spend on for fun? Oh, shoes, that's it. Yeah. I don't do anything. I don't spend any money, really, except for shoes and Uber
Starting point is 01:07:12 eat sometimes. Yeah. That's about all of my income that is just dumb money. I do. buy shoes. What do I have on today? Oh. These are not new. Yeah. But do you do your own laundry that also can make you an adult? Yes, most of time. Do you do regular doctor's visits? Yeah. My butt's been injured. I've been having to go in a little bit. I tore the old rectum. It gets no more adult to have to go,
Starting point is 01:07:36 doctor, I tore the old beehole. Can you take a look at that? Because you've got to go in and do that yourself and not be embarrassed. Change your sheets regularly? All the time. I've changed it three times a day. Yeah. You have a good balance of watching normal shows in the news? No, all news. Very few more shows. Oh, you're so adulty. Yes, thank you. Okay, Bobby's officially an adult. Is that it? I've been adult sounds like nine. Yeah. Is that it? I have one more story from the pile, and this is just kind of like, seemed, makes sense to me, but I wish all restaurants would
Starting point is 01:08:05 do it because Cornell researchers put together a study that found that customers order less at restaurants when the calories are listed on their food. Absolutely, I do that. I'm like, oh, this has this many calories. I'm not getting it. When they put calories, my diet changes. I went to a restaurant the other night for work and I was going to order some fish thing I thought it was the healthiest but I looked at the calories and it wasn't because the thing's on the fish and I didn't get it so I just had the water.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Zero calories. You truly got something else. Zero calories. But people are shocked sometimes when they see it because they feel like a lot of times they're being healthy because they ordered the tomato soup and then that's like one of the highest calorie things on there so it helps teach you like
Starting point is 01:08:42 oh maybe I should get this versus that so anyway all restaurants should do it. Mm-hmm. It made me. That's my pile. Starting point is 01:11:56 it's time for the good news with lunchbox carry home is something good Carrie and Deb were all set to fly from Minneapolis to South Dakota and all of a sudden their flight gets delayed it's the last fly of the night bad weather and they really wanted to get there to see their aunt.
Starting point is 01:12:14 They're like, let's try calling an Uber. And this dude, Hey, Zeus, pulls up and drives them the four hours to South Dakota and says, hey, if you're going to see your family, I want to get you there. They tipped him 50 bucks. He drove four hours back. Wow. Wow. I got on an Uber once with a guy who had driven someone from Texas to North Carolina.
Starting point is 01:12:33 Whoa. That can't be worth the money, though. He said it was. He said that they had agreed to tip him up front. and he drove him over and they spent a night in hotel they said we'll also get your hotel room for the way back and he slept for like four hours and drove back
Starting point is 01:12:48 did he say how much the whole thing was? I felt like I was prying asking about finances but he said they tipped him up front which I think they gave him a couple hundred bucks and he was like I had the days off anyway and I was going to make more doing that than I would have and he did it, he drove from Texas, North Carolina on Uber right? This guy did
Starting point is 01:13:05 Yeah, he made $216 for the trip and then a $50 tip for eight hours of driving. I mean, that's a lot, because all the gas, I mean. And the eight hours back. Well, four hours there are four hours back. I mean, I think that's worth it then. Yeah, because you're talking about total, total money.
Starting point is 01:13:21 Yeah, $266. Plus the tip. No, that's with the tip. Oh, it is? Yeah, that's with the tip. He doesn't get all that, though, does he? No. Uber gets most of it.
Starting point is 01:13:28 Right. And then on the way back, like, I mean, you're not getting any rides. Yeah, you're not getting, unless you Uber people back. Unless someone wants to meet their family on the other side. Yeah. All right. That's a good. That's a good.
Starting point is 01:13:40 That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones. Justin Moore, about to be in studio. I love this guy.
Starting point is 01:13:58 We'll talk to him in a second as part of the Friday morning conversation. But over to Amy now with the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. What did the cab driver wear to the wedding? What did the cab driver wear to the wedding? His taxido, of course. Oh, his taxid. Oh, yeah. All right, good.
Starting point is 01:14:16 Good. That's a strong one. That was the morning corny. The Friday morning conversation with Justin Moore. How you doing, bud? I'm good, man. I was just thinking as I'm sitting in this new studio, I'm like, I need to come do this more often because everything has changed. Well, the thing is, you don't.
Starting point is 01:14:35 You're one of the few, the unicorns that don't actually live in Nashville. Right. It's like you, Zach Brown, and Darius. See, I didn't even know Zach lived. of town. He still lives in Georgia? Still lives in Georgia. Wow. Okay. But there are a few of you, and you're the three that people will bring up, because I'll talk to some of these new acts and off the year,
Starting point is 01:14:53 and some of them, like, won't live here yet. And pretty much you've got to get to town at first, because you've got to be around everything while you're popping. But I'm like, well, Justin Moore doesn't live here. He lives in Arkansas. I look, well, Justin Moore had hits before he left. I lived here for almost 10 years. So, and definitely back then you absolutely had to be here, at least to get your career off the ground.
Starting point is 01:15:13 You know, nowadays with social media, I don't know that it's as imperative as it was then, but it definitely is important to be here and make connections, contacts, and kind of cut your teeth here. Especially as a songwriter. Which is a big part of it, because a lot of people come to town and they have to make money somehow. You ain't making no money as an artist. No. So you've got to get a publishing deal where they pay you to write songs, mostly for yourself, but you've got to pay the rent. Man, I had our first single that went number one was Smalltown USA,
Starting point is 01:15:44 which was our second single. And I bring that up to prove the point you just made. I didn't even get in a bus until that song was like top 15. And I'm like, I mean, I've got the 15th, you know, most popular song in the country. And I'm still riding around in a van, and I still ain't made a dime on a show. You know, it was a year after that song hit when you start making a little bit of cash, you know. rent a tour bus about five. You know. Yeah, just to rent one for a weekend, it's about five grand a weekend, much less if you're not, you're renting it for the whole month or for a year. Right. Right.
Starting point is 01:16:20 Or pay, and God forbid, you're paying like a mortgage on a bus, you know. Oh, yeah. Let's say you're, you got to pay five grand to take a bus out for a weekend. Well, how do you make that $5,000? Yeah, and pay a band and, you know, the, the, the crew that you, it requires. So, yeah, that was, that was one of the most common misconception. that I personally had, I thought, oh, yeah, we'll get on a tour bus. And then for the first couple of years of your career, unless it's one of those deals where it's an anomaly and you just blow up, which I didn't do. But then you're in a different bus every week. You make enough money to do a bus, but you don't make enough money to have a bus. To have a bus. And so you've got to drag
Starting point is 01:17:02 all your stuff off every week, which it sounds like first world problems, right? But when you're doing this for a living, it certainly, you need those luxuries, obviously, or you go kind of insane. I would have friends that would lose money, Tori. Oh, yeah. Was that ever a thing for you where you were just out grinding and just barely breaking even? Well, before I got my record deal, I didn't play a whole lot. I mean, I had played growing up and, you know, obviously had played a lot of music, but I didn't play a ton here.
Starting point is 01:17:33 I would go back home to Arkansas or, you know, we'd get a gig in Georgia or maybe one in Mississippi or whatever, frat parties or whatever it may be. And so during that time, yeah, man, you're just, you're either breaking even or losing money most of the time. Fortunately, as far as once we got our deal and I sign with, I'm with William Morris who books me, which I know you are too. I'm at CAA just for the record. Oh, are you? Yes. I want to get that computer. Okay, yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:07 Sorry, excuse me. I just wanted to give CAA a plug there. That's what I give you the opportunity to plug them. But sign with a booking agent and then they started getting you booked, but I never had that once I, you know, fortunately that happened. But yeah, before, man. And like I said, until you have a hit and it's way past having a hit, that I made some dough, you know.
Starting point is 01:18:35 So whenever, like in Arkansas, what town, you want to say? What town you live in now? Yeah, Poehan. I live in Poein, which you know well, because... You went back to Poen? Because you were living... We live in Bryant?
Starting point is 01:18:47 I was, yeah. I was living in Bryant. So my wife is from south of New Orleans, a town called Homa, Louisiana. And it's probably about the size of Hot Springs, which that may be kind of insider for you and I. But, you know, It's a good-sized town, in other words.
Starting point is 01:19:05 It's certainly not in Nashville or Atlanta or anything like that, but it's a pretty good-sized town. And so when we, she loved living here in Nashville, and I always wanted to move home, and it kept on her and kept on her, and she said, well, all right, I can't go straight from Nashville to Poet. You know, it would be like going Nashville to Mountain Pinet. And she's like, we've got to stop in Little Rock or something.
Starting point is 01:19:28 I'm like, how about Bryant, which is a suburb of Little Rock for those who, who are unfamiliar. Kind of like Franklin to Nashville, if you will. But, yeah, so we lived there for five years, loved it. I just got tired of getting a letter, you know, on the door or in my mailbox about it. You got to move your boat. You got it, because we were in a subdivision.
Starting point is 01:19:52 And so I was like, I got to get out. So finally, after we had that little transition period, she was good with moving back home. What kind of boat you got to get that? They're telling you got to move. A beautiful bass boat With razorbacks and the head covers Or the head dress Oh, Ranger
Starting point is 01:20:09 Bassboat And then we've got a party barge too But, you know People would be pulled up on their yard With their 82 Civic or whatever And my boat's got to go I'm like my boat is so much prettier Than that car or whatever
Starting point is 01:20:24 But I mean I get it What's the place like in Poland? I bet that's massive I bet that you got a freaking castle It's like Game of Thrones Small town Arkansas, though. Well, it's needless to say, it's a little cheaper to live back home than it is here. So it allowed us to do some things that otherwise we wouldn't have been able to do.
Starting point is 01:20:44 But I bought my land that I grew up on from, my grandpa owned it. And he was raised there by his grandpa. I grew up there. And so I got 50 acres for 30 grand. I got the family discount. So that kind of gives you a little bit of insight as to what you can do there. as opposed to, you know, say here. And so, which was one of the reasons we actually moved home.
Starting point is 01:21:07 But the main reason we moved home, other than me wanting just to be back home, was, you know, having kids, I didn't want ever them to be affected negatively by my choice to do this for a living. So I knew that if I were around home, and it may be the same way when you go back home, I don't know, but people are proud of me and they're proud for me. me and they're happy for my family, but they don't really give a crap, honestly. They're like, yeah, cool, man. So about this, whatever, and which I love, and they don't treat my kids any differently than they do at any other, you know, my kids go to Poland. You know, an example of something
Starting point is 01:21:50 really neat about moving home is my oldest daughter when she was in first grade had my first grade teacher. Is that right? Yeah. Oh, wow. And so. So, you know, I know that they care about them, not because of what I do for a living, but they actually genuinely care about them. You ever mow your own yard? I do. I bush hog my whole pasture, which is, oh, man, we have 130 acres, and it's probably 40, 50 acres is pasture, so I'd do that myself.
Starting point is 01:22:24 You still like doing that? I love it. I love it, man. I just replaced a radiator on my tractor. I don't know, four or five weeks ago. And that's my kind of Zen place. I love doing that stuff. My wife knows.
Starting point is 01:22:38 I put my Bluetooth things around my neck and go out, and I can spend literally eight, ten hours on a tractor, and that's like my unplug, unwind kind of time. Anybody ever show up to the house? Can I get a picture, Justin? You know, when we were first building our house, we would have people just show up. And you would think it would be a contractor,
Starting point is 01:23:00 or somebody there to fix this or do that. And they'd be like, no, man, we just heard Justin live here. And I'm like, well, he's going to. But we just thought we'd look around. You know, people back home, they just are completely oblivious to some things. And I'm like, yeah, I mean, how'd you get through the gate, by the way? You know, it's kind of funny. But people are harmless, man.
Starting point is 01:23:23 Back home, they're, as I mentioned it before, they're so happy for me. And they're just, there's like overzealous at times. I appreciate it, obviously. Rather over than under. Absolutely. That's what people come up and ask me for an autograph or picture or this or that, and they're like, I'm so sorry. And I'm like, it beats the alternative.
Starting point is 01:23:42 Because if you didn't, that would mean you didn't care. So I wouldn't have a job. Justin Morris here. Let's talk about this for a second. Late nights and longnecks, the new record. I'm excited about it, man. Yeah, and I was looking at the list because I was like to see the songwriter credits and see who.
Starting point is 01:23:58 It looks like you're pretty much on, are you on every song? I am. Look at this. It's, first time of my career I've been on every song. You know, I've written 90% of what I've recorded over my career, but that's the first time it's been literally every song. I mean, I'm not an artist who that matters to me, but it is kind of neat to be able to be on every song on this album.
Starting point is 01:24:22 And, you know, we kind of did this album a little differently, which contributed to me being on every song. is years ago when I moved here, I moved here in 2002. My producer and I, we didn't have kids, and we would just pop down to, like, Destin or, you know, 30A, which is for those listening who don't know, it's like six, seven hours from here in Nashville. And when we were just rent a house and lock ourselves in
Starting point is 01:24:51 and drink beer and write songs, and I recorded and wrote a lot of my first two albums down there. Since then, we've gotten busier and had to do more of that kind of thing on the road and here in town. And so when we were talking about a new album, I said, man, fast forward to now my wife and I have a home in Destin. So why don't we just take a handful of our buddies we like writing songs with, and if we can sneak it past our wives somehow, go down there and pick five or six weeks over the course of the next three, four months, and drink beer and write songs. And so that's exactly what we did. So every song we wrote down there. Tell me about you guys hop into the room
Starting point is 01:25:30 and what happens whenever you start to, who comes up with the idea for the ones who didn't make it back home? Actually me. That was actually, I take it back. That was the only one we didn't write down there. We wrote this on the road. I was playing and had Paul D. Giovanni, Chase McGill, and my producer, Jeremy Stover, out with me on the bus.
Starting point is 01:25:52 And we were playing somewhere, and it's hard to believe, but if having one so far away came out like eight years ago. And every night we've played that song, I've always talked about our military servicemen and women and first responders and police officers, firefighters, and dedicated that song to them and I always end it before we go into the song by saying, well, send us out to the ones that didn't make it back home.
Starting point is 01:26:17 And one night it just kind of hit me like, holy cow, that's a song idea. So I came back to the bus and, I tell these guys, I go, I think I got a good idea. And they kind of turned and looked at each other like, and you write songs. So you know, like, there's a moment where people turn around and look at each other. It's either like really good or it's really terrible. Or someone's got to go, I don't. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:43 So I'm going, is that stupid? And they're like, no, I think it's really good. So we started it that night, finished it the next day. So here it is. It's good. The first time I heard it, it was like the hair stand up. Oh, thanks, man. You know, and this sounds cliche or cheesy, but I really believe it to be true that I learn with,
Starting point is 01:27:05 if heaven won't so far away, how powerful country music is. And, you know, it's fun to have a number one record. It never gets old. It's good for your career. The label throws you a party. Mom and Daddy pat you on the back and tell you how important you are for a few weeks and, you know, all as well. but I learn with heaven
Starting point is 01:27:23 if you can it's more special if it goes beyond that and impacts people's lives in a positive way and to have the opportunity to not only do that but once but now twice with this song to go around the country and have people firsthand tell me stories of losing a loved one
Starting point is 01:27:41 and this song did this or means that or whatever is just really special The Friday morning conversation with Justin Moore All right the whole family's in here now Justin introduce us to everybody in here So we have my seven-year-old here, Kennedy, nine-year-old Ella. So these are the oldest two.
Starting point is 01:27:59 And then my wife, Kate. And Kate, you go to Louisiana? I did, South Louisiana. Yeah, and how did you and Justin get together? That's the most hillbilly way possible. On senior trip, Panama City. So you guys met from two different schools in Panama City? Yeah, we did.
Starting point is 01:28:15 18, 18 years old. So that was 17, 18 years ago. And when he was 18 years old, No, you're good. When he was 18 years old, like, what was he like today? This ought to be interesting. I mean, he really is the same person. I mean, sweet, good manners, good boy, you know.
Starting point is 01:28:39 Oh, his daughter's whispering in the end. Yeah, Elle is whispering something to me. What are you whispering to her over there? No, it's all I'd say it into the mic. I had spiky hair. He had spiky hair. That's what she was saying. Oh, wow. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:28:51 That was the style. And so you guys had you tried you did the long distance relationship for a while? We did. I went, because I was about to start college. So, and he was just starting, he was going to move to Nashville. And my parents were like, there's no way you're moving for a boy. So. Especially a boy who says he's going to be a musician, you know, like, which now having daughters,
Starting point is 01:29:14 I would have been like, Lord, no. You kidding me? So was he good at 18? Like, was he, did you know him as the guy who was playing, was singing and playing a Was he just like a... No, I just... I mean, he sang and he was a good, you know, he was awesome. I thought, but that wasn't...
Starting point is 01:29:29 This was before everything. Yeah. So I went to college and he moved to Nashville. And after I graduated, I moved up here to Nashville. Where did you go to school? Nichols State. So you finished school, did all that and then drove it. You got to stay together the whole time.
Starting point is 01:29:47 Yeah. So it was, I mean, we saw each other. once every four, five, six weeks, either I would fly down or she would fly up or one of us would drive. Just for like a weekend or a few days. That's expensive too, our entire career, our entire relationship has been kind of that way. You know, I think in a way it kind of prepared us for this because, you know, we weren't ever together all day, every day. like, you know, some people have the opportunity. Yeah, now when he's home for long periods of time, I'm like,
Starting point is 01:30:25 you got to go. You got to go back to work. Justin Moore and his whole family's in here right now. Hey, Kennedy, can I ask you a question? Are you talking to that mic? Kennedy, how old are you? Seven. And what is your favorite thing to do in school?
Starting point is 01:30:38 Do you have a favorite subject? No, none? You got to say it. What do you like? Do you like recess or do you like? Like recess. Yeah? Who's your best friend?
Starting point is 01:30:48 if you had to pick of all the friends at school. Oh, wow. Chloe. Oh, what do you like about Chloe? Because I hear she's pretty cool, too. What do you like about it? She's nice. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:02 That's why I like Amy over there. She's really nice, too. Did you meet Amy over there? No? Not yet. Yeah. What grade are you going to be when you go back? Second grade.
Starting point is 01:31:12 Are you looking forward to it? No. Not really. She don't really like school. This one loves school. Let me meet your sister over you. The other day goes, I can't wait for summer to be over and start school again. I'm like, you are the weirdest person I've ever met.
Starting point is 01:31:27 Nobody has ever said that. You like school? Yes. Yeah. What's your name? Ella. Hi Ella. I'm Bobby.
Starting point is 01:31:32 Nice to meet you. We met a second ago when you walked in, but it was like all these people and all these lights and stuff. So do you think your dad's pretty cool? Yes. Yeah. What do you like about what he does? I don't know. Like you sing, does you ever sing around the house?
Starting point is 01:31:48 Songs that aren't his. Yeah, so never his own songs. No. But he sings like his favorite, like what kind of songs do he sing? Do you know any of them? No. Does he sing like Tootsie Roll? No.
Starting point is 01:31:59 What about your, you have another sister that's not here? Uh-huh. How old is she? She's five. Yeah, she's pretty cool? She's crazy. Well, listen. And my little brother that's too.
Starting point is 01:32:10 Oh, wow. Yeah. Who's the craziest of all four of you guys? Sal. Yeah? A little boy. A little boy, yeah. And who's the least crazy?
Starting point is 01:32:20 Me. Yeah, so I thought you would say. And so is it pretty cool you get to go to like all these cool places with your dad because there's new albums out? Yes, sir. Have you ever been to New York before? I don't think so. It's crazy. You're going to really enjoy it.
Starting point is 01:32:31 It's going to be pretty cool. Do you know your mascot of Poen? The Indian. Yeah, the Poen Indians? Yeah? Do you play sports at all? Uh-huh. What do you like?
Starting point is 01:32:40 Basketball and softball. Yeah? Which one do you prefer if you had to, if you pick... Softball. Are you good? Yeah? Your dad was a good ball player. Does he tell you all the time?
Starting point is 01:32:49 Yeah, he does? Well, it's nice to me. you. Me too. Is this pretty cool that you get to come in the studio? Yeah, do you ever listen to this show on the radio at home?
Starting point is 01:32:58 We were driving in the car my dad listens. Yeah, on Kissin' 96? That was the station we listened to growing up. Same station you could listen to. You don't think that's that cool, do you? That's all right.
Starting point is 01:33:10 Well, I'm glad you came in. Good to meet you. He's who. Justin Moore is here. Check it out. His album is out now. It's late nights and long necks and the ones who didn't make it back home,
Starting point is 01:33:19 which we played earlier, which is I think you're, what, eighth top ten song or so? And this song's now on the top ten? Yeah, something like that. Somebody's telling me. Hopefully this would be our eighth number one. That would be the goal. I think we've had more top tens, but that's the goal. But that's knock on wood. I don't want to jinx. This isn't real wood. Don't worry. Nothing in here is real. Listen, Justin Moore's here. Thank you guys for all coming in. Nice to meet you too. Yeah. And I hope you guys like the studio. You're the first full family we've ever brought in. It's crazy. All right, Justin Moore, check out the

Starting point is 01:37:05 A woman in Wisconsin bought a bottle of pantine conditioner. So she goes to Walmart, she buys it. You know, you take it home, you put it in the shower, then use it on your hair whenever it's time to condition. but the only problem was her hair started falling out in clumps. She was like, what is happening? Someone as a joke at the store mixed nair into the bottle and then put it back on the shelf.
Starting point is 01:37:27 That is so wrong. This is the head's version of looking the ice cream. Yes, I was just about to say, like, what? Oh my gosh. A woman in northwest Pennsylvania named Ashley Rose bought the conditioner. In case you're wondering, it was Pantene ProV sheer volume. That's a good one. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:44 Then the first time she used it, she noticed, why is my hair coming out in like big, big, like right here on the front part of her head? Just have a big ball, just gone. And her shower, she like stuck them up against, it's nuts. Police are looking to find out who's responsible. They're going to go and try to find the footage. I mean, because what does she do to get? I mean, that's...
Starting point is 01:38:07 What does she do to do what? Grow back? Wear a wig. Well, no. I know she can grow back. I was like, justice, you know? Like, how does she? They need to find that person
Starting point is 01:38:15 And then does she get some sort of I mean it's not the store's fault But it was tampered with in there She's just probably out of luck I know It's like if all my hair fell out I'd be like well it would help if I had money To go shopping or something
Starting point is 01:38:29 Over to Morgan number two now With what 25 year olds care about Because sometimes Amy and I are a little out of touch And that's why we have Morgan number two Here we go What your 25 year olds care about How are you Morgan number two? I'm doing good
Starting point is 01:38:43 How are you? Pretty good. What do you have over there? Well, one of my TV shows ended, and it was, like, the most iconic TV show that I've watched in a long time. And a lot of people agree with me. It was trending on Twitter for hours. What was the show?
Starting point is 01:38:56 Jane the Virgin. It was on the CW. Wait, can you ruin it? Is it a spoiler if you spoil it right now? Yeah, I don't want to spoil it. It's too new. All right. But I'm just going to say that it was one of my favorite shows that I've watched in a long time,
Starting point is 01:39:12 that I've connected with that I always look forward to and it ended after 100 episodes and if you've ever liked like drama TV like a telenovela novella novella yeah there we go it's like that and it's like real time and it's perfect for people my age if they want to watch something and get a good laugh
Starting point is 01:39:32 but a little bit of fun drama in there too I'm sorry for your loss thank you I cried a little did you yeah I did there were actual tears I cried a little the other day Why? Jim and Pam, they're about to get married? Oh.
Starting point is 01:39:46 On the office? It hit me a little bit. And I've only seen it 72 times. But it's solid, man. Whenever he cuts his tie, do I'm talking about? Yeah. I'm like, that's what I'm trying to get right there.
Starting point is 01:40:00 I'm about to finish the office again. I'm on season 9, like episode 19 right now. I probably have seen it through 20 times. And I don't know how I can still watch the show and love it still. Yeah, that's crazy. So far ahead of its time. Morgan number two, anything else? you like to say? What do you have playing for the weekend? Oh my neighborhood is having a flamingal
Starting point is 01:40:17 where everybody's meeting each other. A flow, do you dress as a flamingo? Do you stand on one leg the entire time? No, but it's called a flamingal, I guess. And it's like a little block party and all the new neighbors are meeting each other. I like that tie though, like flamingo and mingle. Yeah. Is that or am I thinking it's... No, that's what it is. It was like on a little invitation and said, let's flamingle. And maybe they'll line the block with flamingos, those cute pink plastic ones. So how's it going? Is there a dude in your neighborhood still that you kind of been crushing on or no? No.
Starting point is 01:40:48 Wasn't there? Well, potential with my neighbor, but I found out he had a pretty long-term girlfriend. So that was kind of ended pretty quickly. All right. Well, there you go. That's what 25-year-olds care about. Thank you. What your 25-year-olds care about.
Starting point is 01:41:04 Reading some texts here, you can text the show. Just text over whatever you want to text to the word Bobby, which is 26-229. So literally where you put the phone number in, you just put 26229, and you write whatever message you want. And then I get them on the screen here. Standard message and data rates apply. So I have to ask, Bobby, is that you singing in the Klondite commercial? It is not. What?
Starting point is 01:41:25 It is not. Another one. Good morning, Bobby, from Kalin at Toledo Jeep. Beep, beep. Nice. So I'm texted that in. Bobby, yeah, here we go. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:41:39 You guys can text if you want. But what's, I'm confused about the Klondike commercial? I don't know, I guess there's, is there a commercial of someone singing it that sounds like me? Can you find that commercial, Raymondo? Yep. I want to hear if it does sound like me. Must be really good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:52 Quality vocals. Must be slightly worse than average, but just good enough to be funny. Yeah. Because that's kind of my singing voice. Tonight, Eddie and I are going to debut some new music in Chicago. New committee songs. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:05 Thank you. Let's go over and talk to Cassie in Ohio. Cassie, in Ohio, how are you? Welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. Hi, Cassie. Hey, Bobby. You're on the air. Go ahead. Hey.
Starting point is 01:42:19 So, as I was telling the end of the phone girl, I don't get it listened to you guys live because you don't pick up in our town. But I listen to the podcast every morning on my way to work, on my way home. I try to catch up, but right now I'm a little behind. I just actually started yesterday's show. So you guys were talking about Ray and the Ring and all that and the money. that he won. So I'm kind of behind. Hang through that. It's good bit. Yeah. Oh my gosh. My boyfriend is going to be so excited that I'm talking to you guys and he's going to hear this.
Starting point is 01:42:53 Oh, yeah? Oh, my gosh. He loves you guys. Like, he's the one that got me listening to you guys. And don't take this personal, but he was always like, Bobby's really funny. You should listen. And I was like, oh, you're crazy. You know, so I started to listen. And then I watched you guys I'm dancing with the stars, and I just think you guys are awesome. Like, I'm shaking right now. I'm right now talking to you guys. Why about I take that personal? If anything, I'd take it personal awesomely.
Starting point is 01:43:17 That's what people should start saying. Don't take this personal, and they compliment the crap out of you. Don't take this personal, but you're a really amazing person. It would just eliminate that. Oh, go ahead. Go ahead. Listen, I talk about you guys all the time at work, and all of my coworkers think I'm crazy because I'm, like, so in love with the show, and I listen all the time.
Starting point is 01:43:34 Well, thank you. Here's a tip. You ready for a tip? Cassie in Ohio? that if you want to listen to the show live, you can, on IHeart Radio, if you just search the IHeart Country Channel, we're live on that channel.
Starting point is 01:43:47 Right. So our podcast and our replays up on the Bobby Bones channel, but our live show, if you search IHeart Country Channel, is up on that channel, and you can hear us on the IHart Radio app. That's awesome. Can I shout out to my boyfriend, so he'll hear this when he listens to it?
Starting point is 01:44:00 What's his name? Derek. Nope, sure can't. No, go ahead. Say something to Derek. Listen, Derek, I love you, and I'm so excited that you're going to hear this and that I'm talking to your favorite person. Bobby, do you say hi to him? Yes, I will. Greetings, Derek, from your favorite person, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:44:19 Oh, my gosh. This is amazing. You guys are awesome. Listen, I loved you guys on Celebrity Family Feed. Amy, you are so funny. Oh, thank you. Well, listen, Kathy. Cassie, we got to go. Thank you for calling.
Starting point is 01:44:32 We could spend all day here with you. Thank you so much. You guys have a great day. Bye-bye. Speaking of the IHartRadio app or wherever you listen to podcasts, and let me say this about podcasts. It's so easy. If you've never done it, literally all you've got to do is pull up free app and search.
Starting point is 01:44:45 For example, I did a Bobbycast last night. It's a show I do. It's an interview show. And I had on John Christ. He's a comedian YouTuber. He's Lauren Elena's boyfriend. And we talked for an hour. And he got fired from Chick-fil-A.
Starting point is 01:44:56 Did you guys know this? I saw your post. And here's what he did to get fired from Chick-fil-A. I stirred the lemonade with my hand. Because I couldn't find. They do it in like big five-gallon things, and I put the lemon juice. and the sugar and the water in there.
Starting point is 01:45:07 And there was like, we need refills. Now there's people waiting at the counter. And I was like, I couldn't find this. I just like, roll my sleeve up and like stirred it. Who told on you? The manager came around the corner. You can't do that, apparently. This is not in the handbook.
Starting point is 01:45:18 I mean, it's not in there anywhere. So that's how he got fired from Chick-fil-A. He was like 16. Yeah. But John Christ, the latest Bobbycast. And we talked about why he works clean as a comedian. I work clean as, too. I don't use any bad words.
Starting point is 01:45:32 And we kind of were talking about that and why. And he talked about it wasn't. that he's trying to be morally better than everybody else. There's a Bible verse that says, if you call your brother a fool, you're in danger of hell's fire. So I called my brother a fool one time, and my parents washed my mouth out with soap.
Starting point is 01:45:49 I was just raised in a house where it wasn't acceptable to swear. And the first time I ever went to a comedy club, I heard the comedian swear, and I was like, where's the soap? Or like, is this like, is someone going to, like, is he in trouble? So we talk, and there's one other clip.
Starting point is 01:46:05 We have a chat. We're doing tonight. I don't want, should I play it now or wait until after the show from Chicago? I don't care. I'll do it. I asked him the first time he didn't open mic if he remembered his first joke ever. And he did. And so he told that joke and I was like, dude, I still think you'll get a laugh with that joke now
Starting point is 01:46:21 because he hasn't told it in years and years. And he's going to do it at his show on Monday night. And I'm going to do it in Chicago tonight. It's his joke. His joke. Okay. Yeah. But he hasn't done it.
Starting point is 01:46:29 And we're going to see if it gets any laughs. Here's that. It's a clip for Ray. I go my skin gets really dark in the summer. A lot of times people ask me what now. nationality I am. The easiest way to describe it is I'm not white. I'm more like wheat. No, that was more laughter than I got from that. That's funny. It's more like wheat. And then everyone was like no laughter. And then I was like, well, my, okay, my dad's white, my mom's nine gray.
Starting point is 01:46:53 Which is like, they were like to get out of here. So it has a follow up. So I'm going to switch it a little bit. We're going to manipulate it to our current life. And I'm going to do it tonight. See if we get a laugh. He's going to do that. and his show Monday, see if he gets a laugh. Because I was like, dude, that's still funny. Yeah. I've done in years. I think it's funny.
Starting point is 01:47:11 In sixth grade at my school, I got called white bread. Okay. That's not funny. You're a white person. I know, but I mean, he's talking about bread. Okay. I mean, just literally, it was. It was a thing.
Starting point is 01:47:26 Like, I'd be in line. Amy, you can do that at your show on Monday. No, girl in the lunch line. I remember her. She was like, get out of my way, white bread. I was like, oh, my gosh, okay. All right. A woman makes over $6,000 per day from hand modeling.
Starting point is 01:47:43 A woman in the hand modeling industry has opened up about her job. Well, that's a good kind of opening up. Opening up usually is like, yeah, I've been suffering from... This is like, no, I make $6,000 a day. She revealed she can make $6,000 in a single day of work. Her hands are insured for $2.4 million. Wow. She's been nicknamed the Kate Moss of hand modeling.
Starting point is 01:48:06 What would you be the Kate Moss of? I don't know. I was trying to think of that. Maybe on a good day hair, if I've done my hair just right. Good hair. So maybe. I'd be the Kate Moss of wearing hoodies. I kind of dominate the hoodie wearing.
Starting point is 01:48:23 Only got a couple more years left in that, though. Yeah. Oh, you jumped on that one quick. Just kidding. You want to take a shot at my forehead? No, joking. Look at those hands. I'm looking at the hands now.
Starting point is 01:48:33 They look. They almost look fake and gross. Fingers are too long. How do they look compared to mine? I'm not commenting on your body. Like, could I get six grand? Be vengeful. Bobby, I was joking about that.
Starting point is 01:48:47 Joking. We're talking about Botox again? Yeah, Amy's always like, got to get Botogs. No, I'm not always. You have completely twisted this story to sound awful. Hey, Ramundo, how are you today? Doing good, what up? Well, is Hillary in there beside you?
Starting point is 01:49:00 Right here. In the glass room, utility Hillary, who's filling a big gap here as we find an executive producer, and she's been booking guests. And we've been trying to get Sean Mendez. What's the final word on Sean Mendez for next week? He can't come in. Of course he can't.
Starting point is 01:49:12 He's big time in us. Yeah, I talked to multiple people and they said it won't happen. Did you talk to OSM? No. Sean Mendez? Oh, old Sean Mendez. Oh, sorry. Old Sean Mend.
Starting point is 01:49:22 Like old. Oh. You talked to OSM? Yeah, my boy. My boy. Like before he got too big? He's too good for us? I guess so.
Starting point is 01:49:28 Did they say that? They were like, he can't come in because he's too good for you? They said he doesn't have time. Which means he's too good for you. Yeah, because, I mean, he would make time if it was like, you know, I don't know. I'm telling you, if I didn't have time and Howard Stern called me, I'd be like, I got time. If they'd have a letter to call me, I'd be like, I got time. But what about that kidney transplant you're going to have?
Starting point is 01:49:45 It'll wait. I got time. All that would wait. We're not good enough for OSM. Our new goal is the show is to get Sean Mendez on the show. Can we get a phoneer? I can try that. Let's just get him on.
Starting point is 01:49:56 I'm not, I like him fine. He's good songs. Yeah. But now it's just my goal to get Sean Mendez on the show. If we get him on the phone, can he, can he, sing on the phone? I don't know that he will. He has to have time for a phone call.
Starting point is 01:50:10 Surely he's got time for a phone call. Like when he's in the car driving from one meeting to the next or whatever. Because he's not driving. He's got a driver. What you think, Hillary, can you hit that one? Yeah, I'll email somebody right now and see if he can call us. All right, thank you. They're going to be like, oh my gosh, these people will not stop, like let it go.
Starting point is 01:50:26 That's what we do, though. But we don't have a guest right now. Let me say this. It's really hard to get on the show as a guest now. I just don't book guests very often anymore. And so we bring in about one a week. Sometimes we'll do two. But as of right now, there's an odd opening.
Starting point is 01:50:42 A rare, it's like the dodo bird. Well, no, they're extinct. But it's like the... Yes, they are. The plattopold platt. Are they extinct too? I don't know. There is the rare spot to be a guest here next week.
Starting point is 01:50:55 We don't have booked yet. The White Lion. Are those extinct? Those are kind of extinct. But this is just rare to be a guest on the show. We're just not bringing in a lot of people anymore. We zig, they zag. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 01:51:08 No. I don't either. I just say that sometimes. People go out. Sounds good though. I agree with that. Hey, we're playing chess. They're playing checkers.
Starting point is 01:51:14 You know what I just say that too sometimes. All right, thank you guys. Let me talk to Sarah in Ohio, who's on the phone. Sarah in Ohio, welcome to the Bobby Bone show. Good morning, Bobby. What's happening? I just wanted to call in and say that I absolutely love the Friday morning dance party. My work is super flexible and so I purposely don't go in until after 9 so that I can listen to it every Friday morning.
Starting point is 01:51:42 Oh, cool. And you live in Ohio, so you're Eastern Time Zone, right? Yeah. Okay, it's coming up in the next five minutes. I got it for you. I feel like I feel good about this one, okay? Perfect. Thank you so much.
Starting point is 01:51:53 Appreciate that call. Thank you, Sarah. Let me go talk to Nicole in Wisconsin. Nicole in Wisconsin. Welcome to the Bobby Bone Show. How are you? I'm good. How are you, Bobby? I'm real good.
Starting point is 01:52:03 What do you want to say? Good. I'm a first-time caller and a big fan of this show. Thank you. And tonight, my husband and I are having a date night, and we're going to come see your show in Chicago, and we can't wait. What's the drive from Wisconsin down to Chicago? It's about two hours.
Starting point is 01:52:18 That's about as far as I would recommend someone drive. About two hour and 15 minutes, be like, you drove a little too far to see this. But what are you looking forward to tonight on the show? What do you want to hear? Well, if you could sing Namaste, that would be fantastic. Oh, one of our greatest hits. We can do that, I bet.
Starting point is 01:52:33 Actually, our greatest hit. Yeah. Like on streaming? Yeah. Getting close to a million streams. With no playlisting, by the way. That's good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:41 Do we have the full song, Ramboa? Yep. Play it from the beginning a little bit. I haven't heard this in a while. Here it is. By the way, Nicole, see you tonight in Chicago, all right? All right, thanks, daddy. Can't wait to see it.
Starting point is 01:52:50 Hopefully I get to meet you. Tickets of In Chicago Raging Idiots.com. Time for Tell Me Something Good. Raymondo, let's go. It's time. for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:53:04 So there's a dude, and he's on the side of the road, and instead of holding up the sign that goes, hey, give me some money, I need to work, give me that money. He was holding up a sign that goes, hey, I have resumes. And so people are like, oh, this guy really wants a job. Like, he's just not looking for $10. Like, he's looking. So he starts passing out his resumes, the news picks it up. He's got like hundreds of job offers now.
Starting point is 01:53:25 Wow. Because he literally was holding up a sign that was like, hey, I have resumes. If anyone will just take my resume, I'm actually not looking to get anything except for you to look at this. Wow. I thought that was a pretty cool story. Yeah, that's awesome. And that's the good news.
Starting point is 01:53:36 And that's what it's all about. And we're about to do the dance party. But you can hit the closer right now, Ramundo. That was Tell Me Something Good. All right, a woman's taking a selfie, and as she's taking the selfie, she starts to be charged by a bear, and here's that clip. You can see the time stamp, and then literally there's the bear, like immediately after I took the picture. All I did was think about, what is it going to do, and what do I do? It was just doing these huffing and puffing and puffing noises and chomping with his jaw, and I thought, I'm going to be mulled. I mean, this is, I'm about to be ate by a bear. I was just like, no, get down, get back.
Starting point is 01:57:22 It pulled back away from me and just, bear. Very slowly walked away. Didn't even look back at me. Do you think that you would have the composure because you're not supposed to move? And she didn't. She starts yelling at it and then she didn't move muscle. Do you think you would have the composure
Starting point is 01:57:35 to just stand still and do what they tell you to do? Or would you be like me to be like, and flail in every way and just run? I feel like I would be spastic and I would run. But I would hope even, like this would be a reminder to me to just stay calm and then yell it. You can remind me all day. I'm not staying calm.
Starting point is 01:57:54 I'm going to be running behind cars, running through the street. The bears can catch you, though. Like, they travel through that environment faster than we could. Anyway, they know it. Yeah. They're built to travel through it. But yeah, big old bear. I thought you were supposed to like, ah, at it.
Starting point is 01:58:09 Well, you're supposed to, well, they say make yourself big. Yeah. No, I'm not doing that. Like, you're supposed to scare them. Yeah, good luck. Okay. That bear's probably like, hey, Craig, come look at this. This guy's trying to scare me.
Starting point is 01:58:23 No way. Mustard ice cream is a real thing and you can try it on Saturday. So gross. It's got to be good. No, it doesn't. Sounds so disgusting. French is, the food company, announced Wednesday that it will introduce mustard flavored ice cream. I'm in.
Starting point is 01:58:39 Can I get this in town? I don't think so. They are launching ice cream Saturday to commemorate National Mustard Day. Well, where are they launching this? I think it's like New York and San Francisco or L.A. or, you know. All the cool places? Those places. Those places.
Starting point is 01:58:52 Yeah, they're not. Yeah, they're not. But I mean, you could make your own at home. I figure you just get yourself in vanilla. I don't want to make my own. Stirring some mustard. No. Boom. You're done. I feel like there's something to this. Yeah, that's it.
Starting point is 01:59:04 No. It's probably gross. Don't be a hater on mustard. Okay. We will on Monday show, though, do the movie quote fantasy draft. There are five of us, we go around the room and draft our favorite movie quotes. Lunchbox has the first overall pick, and he often tells other people to share their pick first before the show. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:59:22 Would you like to share your pick now? All right, he's going with his first pick right now. We love this. Love this. I mean, I have time to change, but. Oh, no. If you're in, you lock your pick in. Oh, no, then.
Starting point is 01:59:33 Okay. I mean, I can guess what he's going to do. I mean, the one he does all the time. You are brave hot. You are our feet. You'll never take my feet, but you will not. I mean, I'm thinking about nobody puts baby in a corner. I mean, that's on my list.
Starting point is 01:59:46 Why do you take? Oh, my goodness. He's not. He did that to make you mad. Literally, he would never pick that. Unless it was just to irritate you. Amy, he did that on purpose. Whatever.
Starting point is 01:59:55 I have others. I'm thinking about this. Don't you think he would... That's not my number one, by the way. I think mine is, I was thinking about during the break. I just can't quit you. I know. Still leaning.
Starting point is 02:00:06 And that was mine too. But I've changed. What are you going to say, Amy? Oh, nothing. That wasn't my number one pick, but... This is so tempting. I mean, it is kind of fun. I am curious to see what people are going to do.
Starting point is 02:00:18 Like, is it Monday yet? It will be soon. CMA Fest, Sunday night. 7 Central. Do you see the picture of the guy and his mom that are going viral? It's a kid. And she's so hot that everyone thinks they're dating. It's if I looked at it today too.
Starting point is 02:00:33 And, okay, come look at this picture. So a 22 year old guy and his mom in Los Angeles are going viral because in some pictures, Amy's over here by me. Doesn't it look like, that's his mom?
Starting point is 02:00:44 No way. That's his girlfriend. No, that's his mom. She looks young enough to be his girlfriend. My mom was 16 years older than me. So, you know, when I was... That's not a lot. 16, she was 32.
Starting point is 02:00:58 That's crazy. And I really, at that point, I couldn't fathom how nutty that was because it was normal to me. Because your mom. She got pregnant when she was 15, so she was just so young. But he says,
Starting point is 02:01:09 my mom's in her 40s, her secret to not aging is dieting and exercising. She also has a skincare routine that I'm not aware of. Yeah. He's like, I don't really know what it is. We should post this up at bobbybones.com.
Starting point is 02:01:22 What are you looking at over there, lunch? Oh, she's a smoke show. Yeah. Wow, that's really, she looks young. How old is she, for real? 40s something. He just says in her 40s. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:01:32 You know, you can now be sued for posting a negative online review? No, why? I think I should take some of my Instagram trolls to court. Right. How come? Slander or something? Well, on Yelp, too, it actually hurts business.
Starting point is 02:01:45 Well, yeah, but I thought that's what Yelp is for? But what if it's not true? Okay. What if, so you can now be sued. strategic lawsuits against public participation are meant to not only shut you up, but make you pay around six figures if you're lucky. The suits are often crafted to be complicated,
Starting point is 02:02:02 lengthy, and expensive participants. So it's basically people have come together and said, okay, we're getting together as kind of a group, and if you start smashing people, we're going to come at you. As easily as you came at us, we're just writing things. So here's the only thing. You can't lose a lawsuit if it's truth, but you can still be charged for one.
Starting point is 02:02:20 Like, you can win a case, it still cost you a lot of money. Right. I mean just to like yeah your legal fees alone. It's a real bummer. I'm just reading this story out for all these people on Facebook and Instagram. I'm looking. All right. Facebook page is like the back alley of a bad part of town. Like there are a couple good people in there. Did I say Facebook or Instagram? Facebook. Yeah, our Facebook. It's just, it's mayhem. It's like with that old Mel Gibson movie, I guess they remade it too. Lethal weapon? No. No, Mad Max. Oh, and Thunderdome. And it's like you drive through and you see all these kinds of people that are just trying to murder you, eat you, spit on you. That's our Facebook page.
Starting point is 02:03:00 We're a fun, positive show. We're good people. How we get people that are so angry on our Facebook page, I'll never know. And it's bullying. Yes. And I'm going to start suing. Yeah. That's it.
Starting point is 02:03:12 I've never sued anybody in my life. And that's what I do. I go after some youth director who decides to take out some of her angst on our Facebook page. All right. That's it. There's some youth director you have in mind that... Well, no, but what happens is... I know, I know.
Starting point is 02:03:25 People will write something on Facebook and they'll put expletives and it'll be nasty and they'll wish death or disease upon me and then I'll click over to the page. And it's like, Julie, she's been the director of her youth ministry for the last four years. I'm like, that's not what you do in youth ministry? No. This is your alter ego. So that's over. Happy trails to you till we meet again.
Starting point is 02:03:47 Amy, what's going on this weekend? Oh, man. I think I'm just... It's me and the kids tonight. My husband has some work stuff, so I'm trying to figure out something fun to go do with them. My daughter wants to roller skate. So, it could be roller skating tonight. And then, I don't know, I think we have a pretty chill weekend.
Starting point is 02:04:02 Because next weekend, we're gone. Yeah. So I want to just, like, chill this weekend. What about you? Well, I think your husband and I may play racquetball on Sunday. Oh, yeah, that's right. At least that's the plan for now. It's not even really a plan.
Starting point is 02:04:14 We just kind of have a rough outline of what a Sunday will look like. Cool. I do have a story I wanted to share. before I tell you what's going to happen tonight. A pet cemetery in Michigan closed suddenly and families had to rush and dig up their pets. Don't you just let it go. Yeah, don't dig them up.
Starting point is 02:04:32 You had the ceremony. Then what? There's really nothing to owning the whatever's left. Yeah.
