Starting point is 00:03:03 15 minutes away from Kane, Br. being in studio. So pretty pumped to have Kane. Since Kane's going to be in, we're going to do the mailbag a little early. So let's get to it. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I got a phone call from a girl I went on a few dates with five years ago.
Starting point is 00:03:27 I haven't heard from her at all since then until this call. Her first words were, Hey, I hope you've been well I tried to call you because you have twin sons. Wow. I was in shock, nodding my head as she told me about them. She was asking me to contribute financially to the boys' lives
Starting point is 00:03:50 since her current boyfriend left her and also left the boys. You should know we got a paternity test. I am the boy's father. As of right now, the little boys do not know I'm their birth father. they just think I'm mom's friend. I met them via FaceTime. They're studs.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I really desire to be more involved than just financially, but first and foremost, want to have what's best for my sons. I live in Tennessee. They live in Georgia. Any advice in how I begin to connect with them at a distance as a friend
Starting point is 00:04:18 before they know I'm dad? Should I get a lawyer? Should I go visit them a person? Thanks again, Bobby, from Nathan. Boy, what an email this is. First of all, you just get that call going, yeah, you got 20. By the way, she should have told him.
Starting point is 00:04:31 She should have told him. Earlier, should have told him. You can't keep that from somebody. Anyone disagree with that? No. No, she should have. Like, that stinks on her part. Second of all, I like how excited he is,
Starting point is 00:04:42 because a lot of people could just be like, no, no, no, no. Run away. Yeah, like, bye. Like, this is not what I need in my life right this second. So I'd like to commend you for having that excitement. Then he asks a couple questions. Should he get a lawyer? I don't know enough about this.
Starting point is 00:04:54 I don't know why you wouldn't need a lawyer. Maybe if she's trying to say, hey, I need this amount of money or this amount of, I don't know. So I don't know enough about the lawyer situation. to get. Yeah, there's obviously gaps in the story we don't know and especially how she's handling it and what she's up for. Clearly right now, she's kind of just like trying to be like, hey, you're my friend. You're not their dad. But yeah, it can't hurt to just have some know your rights as a dad. And but you don't have to go like full force with her on that. But just get a lawyer to know and be prepared and then have a conversation with her. And if she tries to block you in any way and just wants your money, then you need to intervene.
Starting point is 00:05:31 A lawyer is always a weird thing. I don't even know a lawyer until I was like 30. And you didn't have lawyers where I grew up. Nobody knew a lawyer. But if she starts to keep you from things or want things from you, it's not so much that you're fighting with her. It's just so they can have it. You can have the guidelines there, like legally.
Starting point is 00:05:53 Yeah. I'd seek out a lawyer and maybe a therapist. Psychic? No. No. A combo deal on those two. Not a psychic. But you've been hit with like a life-changing, you know, event, like this phone call.
Starting point is 00:06:08 And yes, like Bobby said, you're excited and that's great. But, like, there's a lot that's changing for you. And, like, you need to process this. And then, like, even like a child therapist, too, to like, so they understand once y'all do tell the news, what's the best way to do it? How can we bring me into the picture? Well, there's a question here at the end. Any advice in how I begin to connect with them at a distance? Should I go visit them a person?
Starting point is 00:06:31 Yeah. I mean, I would say the quicker, if you want to be their dad, the quicker, you're their dad, the better. Yeah. I think it's weird if you're all the sudden friend, then Uncle Nathan, and then your dad, Nathan. Does it say how old they are? Five. They're five years old. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:45 It's time. Yeah, I think it's, hey, I'm going to introduce you to your dad. And hopefully she's cool with that. Well, if she called him going, hey, you're their dad. I think she just said, that's fine. But in order for that money, she needs to be cool with that. Yeah. Obviously, she called them because the money.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Or she wouldn't have called him ever, maybe. I wonder, yeah, the current boyfriend or the boyfriend left. And I think that's why you get a lawyer, too, because you're about to be told, I want money. And you're dealing with someone that chose, that made a decision to give birth and not tell you. So I'm sure she could be wonderful, but she's not maybe making the best decisions for you and everyone involved. So, yeah, just having people in your corner doesn't hurt. So get a lawyer. and when we talk about it the more I say yes
Starting point is 00:07:32 it just sounds like such a fancy thing to have to do but it sounds like you need to do that. Lawyer, yes, you should visit him in person. Yes, you're their dad. If you want to be their dad. It sounds like you do. Well, he is their dad. He took a paternity test.
Starting point is 00:07:47 Meaning if you want to be their dead. Not their father. Not their father. Not their biological father. Their dad. Because I have a biological father but I don't have a dad. Good point. There's a difference there.
Starting point is 00:07:57 So if you want to be their dad, yes, you need to go and be interested their dad. Well, what a heavy one to start the show with you. You send your email and you read it on here. You said twins and lunchbox fell off his chair. Like he couldn't believe. I wasn't even one kid. Lunchbox, what would you do if someone called you right now?
Starting point is 00:08:11 It was like you... We made out an element. He's married with three kids. I mean, that would be earth shattering. Earth shattering. They're in high school. I'd probably vomit. He was being honest. No, seriously.
Starting point is 00:08:26 Right? I mean, that would, oh, man. Would your wife be surprised? No Unfortunately, no. Listen, I have said, and this feels weird to say, but like my siblings and I've talked about how like if we had other siblings out there, we probably wouldn't be surprised.
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yeah. Your dad was put loose and fancy free for sure. Some. Yeah. Sometimes. But I mean, I don't know. Just, yeah. It's a heavy one, man.
Starting point is 00:08:51 Because now he's not even... He was a lover. He was also... He's married how many times? Four. And maybe it would have been a fifth. Yeah, but his latest girlfriend, she was like, I'm not getting married. She was also how old?
Starting point is 00:09:00 They were together. She was 83. Makes sense. That was the first older woman he had been with. And she was also my sister's husband's grandma, so it was a little weird. Sisters husband's grandma. Yeah. So to my sister's kids, grandpa was dating great-grandma in the simplest terms.
Starting point is 00:09:18 But there's no blood. And you guys never went on a TV show? And she was awesome. TLC didn't give you guys a ring? Yeah. No, she was awesome. They both passed away. Coming up after my 600-pound life,
Starting point is 00:09:33 I'm married to my family's uncle's grandma's cousin. Yeah, but, you know, she had her life and she wanted a companion, but she did not want a ring. The Friday morning conversation with Kane Brown. Kane, how are you, buddy? I'm great, man. Are you still feeling the Georgia victory, the national championship? I am.
Starting point is 00:09:51 It's so crazy because I forget that we won, and then somebody tells us about it. I'm like, oh, yeah, we won the national championship. What were you doing the night of the game? I was there. See, I'm so jealous because Arkansas hasn't won in my lifetime. Georgia hadn't won
Starting point is 00:10:06 in yours. You got to go and experience it. Now part of me would have been, boy, if I go to this and they lose, it's going to be miserable coming home. That's how I felt. I made sure I took one Georgia buddy and then I took two Alabama fans. Why did you take Alabama fans?
Starting point is 00:10:22 I felt like because they were either going to need to hold each other or I was going to somebody. I was hoping it was them. That's pretty cool. So after the game, because you're famous, do you get to do cool things with the team or do you get to go into the locker room or anything? What did you do after the championship? I'm not Cuevo, man. I get so jealous of him. He's always down there. But no, so we, what we had to do was go to the elevator and wait for 30 to 45 minutes. And you would never think that I was so popular until I had to stand in front of an elevator
Starting point is 00:10:58 for 45 minutes. And everybody in their mom knew me. Even the security was like, can I get a picture? And I'm like, you're supposed to be helping me. Securing. Yes, yes. Getting the elevator up here. And all I'm thinking about is my wife's going to kill me, all these pictures.
Starting point is 00:11:12 There was no masks. And I'm just like, whatever. Was it one of the greatest? Like, obviously, let's remove marriage and the two children. Okay, let's take that out of my next question. Okay. Greatest night of your life? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Dude, it was crazy because it was, I was up here and I was way down here. And I was up and I was, it was just ups and downs. And my buddy Tristan, he's the biggest dogs fan. And it was his birthday and I took him. And he literally started crying when we won. And every time we do a touchdown, I try to give him a high five. He would just bring me in for a hug. It brings people together.
Starting point is 00:11:52 Yeah, and then we had, so our suite was basically a bunch of Alabama fans. Sweet next to us was drunk Georgia fans. and so we were just high-fiving over there. I remember this one Alabama fan behind me, he was like, we're eating. And we scored a touchdown, so I stood up and looked at him. I was like, we're eating! I was about to fight somebody.
Starting point is 00:12:12 It was crazy. I would imagine for most of the game, because I watched it, obviously, Alabama was really going to win that thing for most of the game. I imagine it was a pretty rough game to sit through, but also at the end just so euphoric because you just won a championship. Yeah, it was. It was scary. My security guard's Alabama fans, so I had to take him and the SEC Championship. I fired him at one point. For those that don't know, Alabama beat Georgia in the SEC Championship. So were you a big athlete in high school?
Starting point is 00:12:42 Yeah, kind of. What'd you play? Football, basketball, baseball, and track. Did you go to a small school that allowed you to do all of that, or did you go to a pretty big school and you just did it all because you were good? Well, I moved to high school six times. So each high school I went to, my first one was when I did all those, when I moved, I played baseball and basketball. What was your best sport? Like what were you the – not what did you love the most, but what were you the best at? I'd say baseball. What did you love most?
Starting point is 00:13:08 Basketball. Do you still try to get out when you tour and play basketball at all? Yeah, that's why we're doing the NBA arenas. So because of COVID protocols, not all gyms will let you in, but most of them, like, have been letting us go and shoot and stuff like that. That's been cool. Can you still play a little bit? What's crazy is another reason – I heard y'all talking to Granger, though,
Starting point is 00:13:28 the day. So when I've been playing basketball, I've noticed my knees would start to hurt. And then I walk upstairs and my knees would be hurt. And I was like, this ain't right. So now that I'm actually, you know, starting to kind of get back in shape, I'm interested to see how I'd be in an actual game now. Would you play any of those celebrity, you know, basketball games that are on, they're on TV? Because there's some risk there. Yeah. Because if you suck, everybody's going to have clips. I played, was it two years ago? I played, um, And I didn't, you know, me, I'm like the quiet guy, so I just sat on the bench. I didn't realize that you had to put yourself in the game.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Oh, you're kidding. Oh, no. So, like, everybody that was on the bench was like, I'm going in. I'm going in. I'm sitting here waiting for coach. I'm like, come on, coach. Put me in. And so the WMBA player was actually, she looked at me.
Starting point is 00:14:19 She's like, have you played? And I'm like, nah, I'm just chilling. She was like, you're coming in with me. So I was like, okay. And then after the game, when I got to play the last two minutes, the coach is like, you're a defensive ace. He's like, you should have put me in, bro. Do you ever play with any of the guys here in town?
Starting point is 00:14:34 Matt Stel plays a lot. He's a beast. He's a beast. Yes, he's big. And he's also, he has guard skills. Yeah, well, he, um, we played the other day. It was funny because me and Matt's never really hung out. And, uh, we were going to play basketball.
Starting point is 00:14:50 And I'm playing. I was like, man, I haven't played in so long. I'm going to be terrible. Everybody's like, no, it would be good. Well, anyway, there's this dude there that's like six. seven. I didn't put two to two together. And the ball is coming off the rim. And all I hear somebody say is, no, Matt, no. And he just puts it back, like just to put back dunk. And then still didn't hit me. And I left. And I was like, everybody told me Matt was good. And he played
Starting point is 00:15:17 college ball. And I was like, was that Matt stale? So I messaged him. He was like, yeah, bro, that was me. And I was like, gotcha. The equalizer with Matt, because Matt will come over to the house and play it. We have a court at the house. is that we know dunks, and then we stop playing actual game. Now we play only shooting games. Now I can beat him. When we eliminated the dunks and then we don't play where he can post up, now I'm actually competitive.
Starting point is 00:15:39 Yeah, he's definitely got post moves. The Friday morning conversation with Kane Brown. The song you and Chris Young did, I mean, that thing went number one and it just stayed. I mean, what a massive song, Famous Friends was. It was amazing. I mean, kind of unexpected, and you can't really predict that for any song. because not only was it a big song, like it just hung up there
Starting point is 00:15:59 and it's still getting played all the time. Yeah, that song, whenever Chris sent me that, I immediately fell in love with it because I'm such a big Chris Young fan, and that reminded me of him whenever I was starting to learn his songs and new covers. So I told him off the bat,
Starting point is 00:16:16 I was like, dude, this is a huge song, and then when he asked me to do it with him, I was like, of course. And, of course, I leaked it to my fans. And then I was like, yes, this definitely needs to be the next single. And then he ended up asking Sony and they said, yeah. So it's been great for us. Yeah, it's been one of the – will you play that at your shows?
Starting point is 00:16:38 Yeah, so I usually – that's when I bring, like, if athletes come that night or anybody that, you know, I usually bring them out. It's usually mascots. Like a literal mascot in a – like a – Yeah, so we're doing the NBA arena. So usually like the NBA mascots. or the hockey mascot of the arena, they'll come out, and then Chase Rice is on tour with us right now on Restless Road, so they'll come out with us
Starting point is 00:17:04 and I have a T-shirt gun, and I'm just, like, shooting T-shirts and stuff, and that's my favorite part. Is the T-shirt gun? If you shoot someone close-range, though, you could really hurt them. Those things are strong. Chase shot him in the chest. And he's, like, out there. I want to ask about the new baby because I did see that you kept it secret.
Starting point is 00:17:23 How long... Did you have that planned before? you guys before she got pregnant or was that hey I'm pregnant let's not tell anybody no I think she was already like four months pregnant
Starting point is 00:17:35 and then we were like when are we going to announce it and she was like I kind of want to just keep it a secret because last time I'm not bashing anybody but last time I sent a picture to my older brother
Starting point is 00:17:47 and he put it on social media before we announced it so everybody already knew about it and it was kind of upsetting so we were like we're just going to, and our engagement, when I, you know, asked her to marry me, we did a video, just a regular video in the car, and people saw the ring on her finger. So they, our fans announced that we were engaged.
Starting point is 00:18:06 So it was like, we want this to say that we're having a baby on our own terms. Were you having to be strategic about pictures, videos, making sure nobody got a picture? It was crazy, man. I had to stay out of social media because people were sending us stuff. So we had like bags that said, Cody on it. you know new bassinets that Kingsley's too big for and like we would do videos we'd have to see what's in the background um to make sure you know it was it was insane so I was like I'm just not gonna post and then we would go out in public she'd wear baggy clothes but if you got close to her
Starting point is 00:18:43 you could kind of tell she had a belly so if I saw a fan that I knew was going to recognize me I would like stand on that side of her and I would have her pushing the stroller just to do whatever I could to like block her shoulder yeah you know what I mean How's the second kid? What's the difference in one and two with your day-to-day life? Oh, the difference in my babies is one's way darker than the other. So that sounds weird. Oh, you're talking physically.
Starting point is 00:19:08 No, that's one of my favorite things is, like, being biracial. Kingsley's like, looks just like Kate almost. And the other baby is like my complexion, but her face is darker than mine. It's crazy. But it's cool. I think they're going to end up turning out to look like each other. But anyway, it's been awesome having two kids. I've been on the road.
Starting point is 00:19:28 So my wife would be able to answer that question more than me because she has both of them. But luckily she has her mom there to help her. And then we, of course, have a night nurse. But it's been crazy. I got the bond with it, really, for the first time yesterday. Can you go out? You talk about going places and even kind of covering for your wife at times. But can you go out and people not swarm you?
Starting point is 00:19:53 Yeah. I mean, I feel like... Can you have dinner? Can you just go, we're going to go to dinner and not have 20 people come up to the table? Yeah, most of the time, especially in Nashville. I feel like Nashville people are really good about it, and I can't say no to them, but they're sweet about it. But if you go out of town, that's when it kind of gets crazy.
Starting point is 00:20:16 And then we'll usually just say, if you wait until we're done eating, I'll take a picture with everybody in here. I don't like to be the person that somebody looks up to, that leaves the building saying he's he's an ass i don't know if i can say that but he's that um because i've had i've had that happen to me before so i try to make everybody happy what are the shoes you have on there i don't recognize those uh patrick mahomes uh are you guys are you guys are yeah yeah how did you guys hang out man i don't i don't remember uh when or how we we ended up linking up but he uh he came out to our show and when we were out in kansas city um and then he's just
Starting point is 00:20:53 been sending me stuff he sent me his you know his oaklies and his shoes and stuff like that these these are my favorite ones he sent um if you want they're at i can ask him or they're at uh green hills mall but locker but locker well listen man we always love when you come by are you playing mad and at all are you just playing college i just started playing Madden recently. Just after the college football championship. Are you going to have enough time to invest into getting good at Madden? Are you spending all of your time playing Call of Duty? So I only play Call of Duty if I'm at home because the PC. I can't use controller. You won't use the game console in a TV for Call of Duty. You have to be that good. You
Starting point is 00:21:38 can't even get on there and be a little slower. No. Well, Field of View. Do you play Call of Duty? Yeah, but I don't play on it. You play on console? If you play it on my PC, you see what I mean. So like if you're, um, say, you know, it's first person shooter. So if this is your field of view on console, this is my field of view on PC. You can see deeper? Yeah. So like you could only, like from where I'm sitting, I could see y'all.
Starting point is 00:22:02 But if I'm on PC, I can see this whole room. So if somebody's over here behind a door, I can see them. So like a lot of people that play with me there on console, I'm like, they're too you're right. To you're right. And they're like, you suck. And they're like, I could see him. Oh, great. I'll be told I suck a lot.
Starting point is 00:22:19 So why can't they make the console have the same? That's what a lot of the players are saying. A lot of FOV, you know. Kane, love when you come by. You crushed it. Thanks for having me. Thank you for coming. Guys, good to see you guys again, too.
Starting point is 00:22:31 It's like you have to have a beard to hang out with Kane now. Look at this. It's like a wrestling trio. Good to see you guys. And we'll see you soon, Kane. Thank you. Yes, sir. Thank you, buddy.

It's the anxiety that keeps you up at night. It's the tension that it can create in relationships and that constant feeling of, am I doing enough? There are moments where it's overwhelming, where no matter how hard you work, you feel like you just can't quite get ahead. And what you learn is that stress isn't just financial. It's emotional. That's why it's important to check in with yourself.
Starting point is 00:26:11 because struggling and struggling with money doesn't mean you fail. It means you might need support in a different way. Therapy can help you unpack the stress, the pressure, even the beliefs that you've carried about money for years. And with BetterHelp, you can get matched with a licensed therapist who fits your needs. Plus, if it's not the right fit, you can switch at any time. You don't have to carry the weight alone. When life feels overwhelming, therapy can help.

Starting point is 00:26:56 30-second skinny. Jason Aldeen released a new song called Rock and Roll Cowboy. Rock and roll Cowboy. Full Swindell announced his new album stereotype will be out on April 8th. Here is a new song from it called I'm Gonna Letter. I'm going to let her. Cassie Ashton released a new song called Dates in Pickup Trucks.
Starting point is 00:27:43 I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinning. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. I love a good mail carrier story, and it just reminds me to try to get to know who delivers my mail because they could save your life. So this one girl, Kayla Barich, she delivered. over his mail in a small town and she noticed that one of her residents who is in her 80s,
Starting point is 00:28:23 the mail had been stacking up for four days. So on day four, she's like, something is not right. This is just not normal. So she called the police department and asked for a welfare check. Well, officers went into this old lady's home and she had fallen and she was trapped for three days, at least they think. And she had hypothermia, dehydration. She's recovering well in the hospital, but she definitely would have lost her life if the mail carrier hadn't reacted. You know, I mean, she's probably... The male carrier, that's a thing
Starting point is 00:28:56 where they are looking out for other people. I can imagine there are so many mail carriers that are just putting the mail in, moving on. Right, not being in attention. Without noticing anything around them. Right. Great story. Can you imagine also being three days
Starting point is 00:29:08 not being able to move? Yeah, in your 80s, no water. Remember the necklace back of the day? I fall and I can't get up. Yeah, I still got that. Oh, yeah. I have one for my dad. Really?
Starting point is 00:29:17 Mm-hmm. That was a pop culture thing. And people would always go, I've fallen and I can't get up. Really, probably life alert? Probably one of the most famous, like, funny sayings for five or six years. Like I think the first viral wasn't viral back then, but saying was, Where's the Beef? Yeah. For being very young.
Starting point is 00:29:37 What is that? Arby's maybe? Wendy's. Oh, Wendy's? We got the meats is Arby. Yeah. Yeah. Where's the beef was way back in the day.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Yeah, it's. Uh, what's it? What's that? Budweiser. And then Budwiser. Yeah. There are a lot of those. I fall on and I can't get up.
Starting point is 00:29:57 It's a Wendy's Where's the Beef Ad from 1984? I guess I don't remember it with my own memory. I guess I just think I do. Great story though, Amy. Thank you for sharing that. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Fun fact Friday.
Starting point is 00:30:12 These are the five most fun facts that Amy's found this week. Let's go. So there's scientific proof that closing your eyes makes it easier to remember accurate details of things you saw. Let me think about this. I close my eyes if I'm remembering something. And here's why. Because I think when I close my eyes, I remove other things from around me from distracting me. And I can only focus on that memory.
Starting point is 00:30:39 Because if I'm thinking about it now, I'm looking at Eddie Bob his head. I'm looking at lunchbox. Probably look at bikini women on his computer. I don't know what's half. Wow, you nailed that. All this stuff is happening around me. I think when I close my eyes, I'm only focusing on that. Another thing I do when I'm thinking, though, is I look up.
Starting point is 00:30:54 What's up there? And I'm like, oh, it's a good question. Hmm. And I look up to the sky. You're looking for answers from the man? I don't know, maybe. He rarely tells me. At least not directly.
Starting point is 00:31:03 But there you go. Number four. I'm glad you said looking up that leads to my next fun fact, which is that pigs can't look up at the sky. Whoa. Like the way their neck is designed, they cannot look straight up. They kind of have to, like, roll over on their belly roll. If they want to look up, but, like, their neck, they're not able to do that. So if you want to hide anything from a pig, just put it above their head.
Starting point is 00:31:25 Right above their head. Try on the top shelf. When I was in 11th grade, I heard my neck playing high school football. I got hit really hard and had to wear a neck brace for two weeks. They called me Myrtle the Turtle. And not only that, you can't, you have to move your whole body at once. I couldn't look to the side unless I moved my shoulder. So I felt that, pig.
Starting point is 00:31:42 I felt that. Number three. Speaking of animals, watching videos of cute ones for about 30 minutes can help lower your blood pressure, your heart rate, and reduce anxiety. 30 minutes. I would be anxious. I wasn't getting something done. 30 minutes. Wow.
Starting point is 00:31:58 But I follow, is it, Morty the Misfit? It's this little chihuahua that is like missing a leg and like has a weird eye. I don't know. It's like a rescue chihuahua. And it's the cutest thing. And I can watch his videos on Instagram and TikTok. Well, not, maybe not. But like even whatever time you do.
Starting point is 00:32:15 have. It does instantly change my mood. There's this one video he has where he's walking on sunshine and he's like trotting with this little feet and it just puts me in a better mood. He has 161,000 followers on Instagram. Yeah, that dog he has more than you. No. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Oh, stop. So perfumes were originally put near the door at department stores to cover the smell of horse manure and car exhausts from the streets. It's back in the day before department stores were enclosed like that. If you were going shopping, you'd walk through the perfume section. first because they don't want you to smell all the stuff.
Starting point is 00:32:50 Because of all the horse manure of the street. So people would take their horses to the mall? They're going to Dillard's. Or they would have their cars. Get on the horse. This was like before official departments. Come on. Y'all, back in the day, picture it.
Starting point is 00:33:07 They rode horses to the mall. Stores. New York. People would take their little horse or ride their little car, their Ford, to the store. and it would smell really bad. Fords didn't have horses. It's car exhaust or horse manure. So picture it.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Close your eyes, both. Hold on, close my eyes. There you go. I don't have a memory of it. It's like early 1900s or something. You're going to shop it. I don't know what was back then. Bloomingdale's in New York.
Starting point is 00:33:33 And they were wanting to keep it smelling good. So that's why perfume is at the entrance. It still is to this day. All right. Okay. Thank you very much. Odd. Let's go to number one.
Starting point is 00:33:43 Number one. So Castaway was filmed. over two years because it took Tom Hanks about a year to lose weight and grow his hair out for all of the island scenes. Oh, wow. He was skinny, you remember? They had to shoot that in different part, like, dramatically different times. Yeah, so that he could alter his body. Remember that movie?
Starting point is 00:34:02 I think it was called adulthood, childhood. Boyhood. Boyhood. Oh, yeah. Mike, how long did they shoot that movie? Over 10 years, and they kept checking back in, they would shoot more of the movie. Because the kid was growing up, and they wanted him to really grow up. It took 12 years to make as Link later waited for the actors to grow up in real time.
Starting point is 00:34:20 Rather than casting a bunch of different actors to play the characters at different ages, the result is a truly unique work of cinema. Yeah, boyhood. That was a really good movie. I liked the movie too. Yeah. Yeah, I sure did. Fun fact Friday.
Starting point is 00:34:35 There's a voicemail we got last night. I have what I think and hope is tell me something good. The last two months, I have gotten a credit instead of a bill from my water company. someone is paying my water bill or either they're paying oh wait they might be seen for the wrong house they might think they're paying theirs
Starting point is 00:34:53 but they're paying mine that's no good well we're gonna go with hoping it's something tell me something good yeah so kudos to whoever's paying it forward and paying my water bill thanks I would bet that's to tell me something
Starting point is 00:35:04 that happened an accident yeah for sure she discovered it midway through she was like while somebody's being really nice to me uh oh maybe uh thank you for the call though By the way, call us any time, day or night. 877, 77 Bobby.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Amy's morning corny coming up in about 15 minutes. Here's a morning corny that was left on the line last night. Hey, I just wanted to leave a morning corny for Amy. What did the otter say to her boyfriend? I think we are drifting apart. I think we should see otter people. So I'll leave this here. That's two.
Starting point is 00:35:40 That's a double though. I think we're drifting apart. Yeah. Okay. I think we should see otter people. You're like, dang, double. Wow, that one's good. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Man, we get calls from listeners that have been scammed by social media, and that is one lucrative business. Oh, yeah. Lunchbox takes this pen out. Okay, go ahead. Social media scammers made off with $770 million last year. That's just the social media side of scamming. I mean, there's, like, a lot of money you made with phone call scamming,
Starting point is 00:36:12 mail scams, stuff like that. This is socials only. Male scam, like women going, I'm really in the mail. No, like in the mail. Oh, got it. Like actual things. But that's just a big warning to us that like if someone is asking you for money online,
Starting point is 00:36:27 whether they're a famous person, a country artist, or just something seems off with it, well, then it probably is. The main way they ask for payment is through payment apps, cryptocurrencies, bank transfers, and gift cards. Gift cards is the one. Yeah, gift cards. That's where they go after our people. They're like, hey, we need a gift card.
Starting point is 00:36:44 If I get another Cole Swindale asking me for a Louie's gift card. Poor Cole. Louies? Loubies. Oh, Loubies. He does like Loubies, though. The fake Coles love Lubies for some reason. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:36:57 Only blue check marks. Okay. If a celebrity messages you, they have a blue check mark. But even then, if that blue check mark, because maybe somehow that someone got into their account, if they're asking you for a gift card to complete their album, it's not real. They don't need it. But if they have a blue check mark, they might. They might.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Okay, what else? I don't know. Okay, so this man was slammed for playing the tip game with the waitress. Do you know the tip game? Okay. Well, it's where you put money down on the table at the beginning of the meal and you say, hey, this is your tip. And every time you make a mistake, I take a dollar away.
Starting point is 00:37:32 I don't believe really people ever play that game. I think it's an urban legend in there. Eddie didn't say your dad did that? No, my dad did it. Okay, only old people. Old people did that. That's threatening people with taking away money from them. It was so embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:37:44 Well, someone posted about it because they went on a date with a guy that did it and they reported him. That's a bad human. Well, yeah, it's bad. My dad's a good guy. He just had things twisted. But also back in the day, I think it was different. For sure. Lunchbox, in a way, does this.
Starting point is 00:37:59 He just doesn't put the money on the corner of the table. Like, in his head, he's like a, like, money is deducted every time they make one tiny mistake. But he doesn't tell them that. Yeah. That's what this is. It shows them everything you can get and then pulls it away, right? Yeah. So someone, what, put on TikTok?
Starting point is 00:38:13 talk, I should guess? Reddit. Oh, okay. So you believe it now that it's Reddit? Even more toxic. That's like it's even more toxic. All right, what else? Garth Brooks might be getting a tattoo. You know, it's a big year for him. Stadium tour, a lot of cool things going on. And one thing he has to add to his list of things to do in 2022 is get a tattoo.
Starting point is 00:38:29 I owe my youngest a tattoo and I got to figure out what it's going to be. But it's got to be done this year. I got to pay. We decided on it years ago and this is the year I have to pay it off. I would think it would be like an owl with his nipples for eyes. What? Whole chest. An owl? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:45 I don't think he's going to go that big. Hey, Garth does everything big. At the end of the show, he just picks up his shirt. Yeah, he goes, hoo, hoo! Well, you could send that into him as an option. He still doesn't know. Okay, what else? That's it.
Starting point is 00:39:00 I made me. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay at home it's something good. Graham and Ian are. two brothers, they were driving over their mom's house
Starting point is 00:39:15 because they just got hit with that big Nor'easter of snow. They're going to shovel some snow. When they're driving up and they notice the neighbor's house is on fire. There's flames coming out of the roof. They're like, uh-oh. And they go knocking on the door. Hey, hey, hey, your house is on fire. And the husband and wife were inside playing Scrabble.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Didn't even know the roof was on fire. They come out and they're like, oh, no. And the brothers went up there and were throwing water on it until the fire department arrived. How loud was that Scrabble game? Yeah. Or how intense. Kayla and I get into some pretty intense nerds card games. What you would hear?
Starting point is 00:39:47 I don't know. How can you hear a fire? Not really. Not if it's upstairs. The roof. The roof. The roof is on fire. End it there, bones.
Starting point is 00:39:56 No, this song. I used to play this when I was in junior high. No, no more. Ray? It's called Fire Water Burn. That's it. It is? Yeah, from the Bloodhound gang.
Starting point is 00:40:04 It is on fire. The roof. The roof. The roof is on fire. The roof. The roof, the roof is on fire. We don't need no water. Let the...
Starting point is 00:40:19 Nah, nah, nah, nah. Burn. Burn. Mother. Burn. Morgan, you know this song at all? Turn it out. Turn it out.
Starting point is 00:40:29 This is one I memorized all the words to it. I thought it was so cool. It was awesome. Yeah. The Bloodhound gang were a bunch of dorky white guys who kind of played metal and rapped poorly over it. Here we go. Hello, my name is Jimmy Pop, and I'm a dumb white guy.
Starting point is 00:40:48 I'm not old or new. I'm middle school, fifth grade like junior high. I knew all the words and I thought I was so cool. You still know them. Yeah, I'm pretty cool. I'm pretty cool with that. And then they had the right stuff. Other white meat known as kid funky fry.
Starting point is 00:41:03 I'm kind of like your ain't as hard to see with a naked eye, but if I crash into, oh, whatever. What? Is that like your guys' boy band? I've never heard of that song. No, they weren't a boy band. Do you remember the bad touch? You and me, baby, ain't nothing but mammal. So let's do it like they do on the Discovery Channel.
Starting point is 00:41:21 Yeah, I was a big fan. Okay. That's a good story. The roof's on fire. Lunchbox, they saved them. Yeah, the brothers, I mean, come on, Ian Graham, heroes, dude. Heroes. That's what it's all about right there.
Starting point is 00:41:33 That was Tell Me Something Good. There's video footage. It captured the moment where a brawl broke out at a golden corral. in Pennsylvania, it involves steak. Now, more than steak, it involved cutting in line. Because the story is someone cuts in line and steals the last piece of steak. Now, I believe if you're ranking them on white people got mad, cutting in line first, steak second. I get mad when someone cuts in line.
Starting point is 00:41:58 That's the biggest disrespect. So someone cuts in line, disrespectful, to take the last piece from the person that was cut in front of, double disrespectful. Oh, man. A 40-person brawl breaks out in this golden crowd. That's great. I want to play you a clip. They're throwing chairs. They're flipping tables.
Starting point is 00:42:20 It's like something you see in a fake bar brawl on television, but in a golden corral. That is nuts. I'll be scared to death. But it's about cut. If you cut in line, that will fire me up. I'll probably do this. I'll probably throw a table. Stop it.
Starting point is 00:42:35 Yeah, cut in front of me. I get mad at a couple things. One, cutting in line. And two, if you don't stop talking in the movie. That's why don't go to movies anymore. Fires me up. but police are investigating the incident and those tied to the bra may be facing simple assault charges
Starting point is 00:42:48 simple assault why not complicated assault pretty complicated to me a lot of people 40 people having a brawling imagine you're me mom and papa and you're going to golden crowd for the weekday no there is one couple that in the middle of the braw they're just trying to get out they get up from their table and they just
Starting point is 00:43:03 ease through the crowd it's so funny it's our weekly golden corral let's go honey you get there and it turns into this I mean there's one pick this one guy picks up a table, turns it upside down, and throws the table. They're throwing boots chairs. I know. I know. People have gone crazy.
Starting point is 00:43:19 They've lost their minds. It's like this is like an airplane story. This golden corral is actually on a Southwest flight. That's right. Yeah, good. Let's go over to Amy and get in the morning corny. The morning corny. Speaking of Golden Corral, I was going to do a joke about retired people. Okay.
Starting point is 00:43:39 But none of them work. That's funny. Yeah, we're retired. I get the joke. That was the morning corny. Starting point is 00:47:18 University. That's amu. APUS. dot edu slash military. Okay, I got this email from a burner account from someone on the show. And they sent it to my private email so I know it's one of you guys. I don't think it's Amy. So Amy's going to read it.
Starting point is 00:47:35 I promise you, I do not know who this is from. Someone on the show knows and you know who you know who you are and no one's cracking on the line. I know. I'm reading it right now. And if this is real, if this is real, it's not her then. But she's also a pretty good actor sometimes. Okay, read the anonymous theory that someone sent me on the show. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:57 I'd like to submit an anonymous theory. Lunchbox doesn't have any Valentine's Day reservations, and now he's scrambling to make it happen. I think the initial reason he didn't want to say the names of the restaurants is because they were never made. I believe he submitted the idea as prep but didn't think it would go anywhere. It's now snowballed into getting legit offers. Now he doesn't know what to do.
Starting point is 00:48:20 That's why he's in, quote, negotiations with one guy waiting to see if he can get off work. If he's a real businessman, just sell it. If it's in demand, why wait until the guy is ready? And he didn't completely close the deal with the caller from Vegas. Vegas. Yeah. Yeah. It is time for him to come clean.
Starting point is 00:48:41 signed Anonymous. So what the theory is, is that Lunchbox has provided this for the show being, I bet this will be good content for on air, but he really doesn't have these reservations. Like, he's lying to all of us. Right. And poor Vegas guy thinks he's buying something. And now Lunchbox is like, I've got to find a reservation to sell him. Okay.
Starting point is 00:48:57 Anonymous, I'll bet you $100. Whoever Anonymous is, let's put our money where our mouth is, $100 on the table. If I don't have any reservations and I am not able to sell them, then I, have you sold either one of them? I just got the guy's number from Vegas. I just, I mean, Abby, was supposed to give it to me and Scoobber reached out to her and she never responded to his email. Did you get an email confirmation from the restaurant? Yeah, I did. Okay, show it to us.
Starting point is 00:49:20 Okay. I wonder if we can call the restaurant bones and ask, hey, do you have whatever time he's reserved? Do you have one at 8 o'clock and see it? Like, no, that's already booked. What name? Yeah. We can beat out the name. The name is Jason Gibble. Okay. Gible. I mean, I have the reservations. I mean, I don't, if you want to call me out, let's go. Let's put money where the mouth is. I got reservations. I'm ready to sit. I do think if someone did call him out and it's not real, then maybe they should. Yeah, I mean, let's, I mean, if you want to do anonymous and say I don't have reservations. Was it you?
Starting point is 00:49:50 Did you write that email? No. Okay. I don't know who it is. So I don't know. I think the person is just going to be quite. Somebody can raise their hand and say it's him. And Abby just now texting me that guy's number.
Starting point is 00:50:01 So I'm good now to call him. So Hyrie will be getting a call today and he will have his reservation. He'll be going to Valentine's Day with his girl in Las Vegas, beautiful, get dressed up, head out. Have a great night and thank me later because that's what's going to happen. Okay, I mean, I'm not worried about it. What are we doing most? Please stand up. If you sent this, please stand up. Do we want?
Starting point is 00:50:24 I don't know if the anonymous person doesn't want to stand up. Don't stand up. Okay, you don't have to. This is not part. But if you would like to, you can. So would the, whomever the anonymous person, would you like to stand up? If so, please do it now. Nobody standing up.
Starting point is 00:50:41 And that's fair. You know what's weird is how people are, oh, you know, you want to throw people under the bus, but you're scared to back it up. When I do it, I tell you I did it. Like, I mean, I can't believe you guys such chicken crap. Like, you know, like when I said Amy, like I told Amy y'all don't be a sissy and drink the hot shot. And then the next day, I took a little bit of it because I back up my talk. I mean, you guys are such whims.
Starting point is 00:51:02 Run your mouths, but scared to, you know, face the heat. What? I mean, he's making up these sayings. Well, he like gets the first third of it, right? And then switches it with another one. They don't want that smoke, Bobby. They don't want that smoke. What are you saying?
Starting point is 00:51:14 Chicken, what? Chicken crap? You can't say the other word. If there's smoke, there's bombs. Just making it out. Okay. We'll leave it here. We'll find out.
Starting point is 00:51:27 So now we're just going to send anonymous emails and not back. Okay, that's how we're going to play the game. It's not a good precedent, right? Right. Well, that's why. Don't get so offended. Just be like, okay, I have the reservation. I'll just start sending anonymous emails about all you guys.
Starting point is 00:51:39 It's not a big deal. Just say. I mean, because if we don't, Because if we don't have to own it, then I'm going to start making up theories about all you guys. Yeah, but I didn't do this. I'm not saying you, Amy. I'm talking about these other chicken crabs. I don't think Amy did it.
Starting point is 00:51:54 That's why she read it. Okay. So the theory is. I mean, if we're going to have Piree on the day after we, he goes to Valentine's Day and he's going to tell you all about his night out and it's going to be amazing. The point of what they're saying here is that you're scrambling. But there's no scramble. Do you hear scramble? No, do you see me when you start reading the email?
Starting point is 00:52:10 Did you see me going, oh my gosh, I'm freaking out? No, because, I mean, dumb theories get dumb responses. That's another good one. Yeah, you got that one. Thank you. Who said that? George Washington? I made that one up.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Oh, you did. Trademarked. Oh, you just said you responded in a dumb way. All right. Hey, if you mess with the bull, you get. You get whooped. That's not how it goes, but I like it. What is it?
Starting point is 00:52:35 That's good. You're going to get the horns. Or you get wooked. I'm a massive fan of this new artist named Morgan Wade. She's awesome. And a lot of times we play her song Wilder Days on the radio. Here's a clip of that. You say you hate the smell of seeing her.
Starting point is 00:53:09 So she came over, and this podcast will be up today after the show on the Bobbycast. She's covered in tattoos on her hands, her neck. I mean, and she thinks she has about 135 tattoos. Wow. Whoa. She was talking about when she got her first tattoo. Here you go. My freshman year of college.
Starting point is 00:53:25 I remember I was. sitting in my apartment and one of my friends was there and she was just like I think you would like tattoos. I don't know why she said that and I was like I should do that I think I had $90 in my bank account and I went and I got a tattoo and then I was just like okay I really like this and I think a few weeks later I went and got like three more at one time a few weeks later yeah I got paid between so again I love her music she's super honest about stuff she was also talking about how she would write songs in secret because when she was younger, she tried out for a vocal group, and they're like, you sound too weird, you don't, you're the only person who doesn't make the
Starting point is 00:54:03 vocal group. Like, everybody made it. She did not. And so she wouldn't sing in public. She wrote songs in secret. I just didn't write stuff down because I didn't want anybody to find it. So I won't memorize stuff. And until I came out here to Nashville and we were in the studio, you know, Sadler Baden, my producer, he was just like, you need to write this stuff that, like, type it out because we have to be able to, like, see it. But I would just memorize it. If it was something that was going to stick. It would just stick in my head. And her parents, her mom didn't know she's saying.
Starting point is 00:54:31 I knew she was writing stuff. I had no idea. Anyway, it's great. Check it out. Morgan Wade up on the Bobbycast today. Search for Bobbycast. Wherever you listen to your podcasts, on IHeart Radio, or wherever.

Starting point is 00:55:51 And by the way, the building is like a five-minute drive from here. Yeah, you walk by it all the time when you go to the bars. Okay. Well, that was. embarrassing. She's still in, though. She's still in, though. You don't want to hear that sound. You've been bone. You get bones out of the game. Okay. Easy trivia.

Starting point is 00:57:13 I mean, do we think this is K-State? It's got to be right. I'm not. I think it's just the day. I think it's just the day. Some days we forget things. Maybe it was her high school. No.
Starting point is 00:57:23 What was your high school? Listen, I just don't retain information. Did you make good grades though? Yes, I made straight-A. Wait, but we can go backwards with it. Like, this, I'm, there's not. I don't retain information. I know, but I do this too.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Like, I would, that's, sometimes we miss things that are so obvious. But, like, when, when America first started, like, like, my first question was how many states are there and I said 50. So then when America started, was there instantly 50 states? No. Are we doing tutoring here? What is happening? Yeah. Yeah. That was in my head. She had to go to a lot of touring.
Starting point is 00:57:52 Okay. So, the 13. It was in my head, guys. I'm just really bad at this. She knows. Sometimes you just have to get there. Okay. We boned her, right? You've been bowed. No. That'll take. Amy.
Starting point is 00:58:04 Yes. Morgan's out. Eddie's one step closer to be. That's why I'm more mad at Morgan. It's not about missing it. It's about your letting. Eddie get closer. Yeah. Amy, Madrid is the capital of what country?
Starting point is 00:58:15 Spain. Spain is correct. Lunchbox. In what state is Harvard University? Oh, that's in a state, Massachusetts. Correct. I almost at Boston. Eddie, what does UFO stand for?
Starting point is 00:58:37 Unidentified flying object. Correct. I almost said foreign. Who! Correct. Amy, what? What primarily do giant pandas eat? Bamboo.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Correct. Amy's in the zone right now. Yeah, she's dialed in. Yes. Not only for herself, but she's helping others. Tutoring others. Lunchbox, what comet passes near Earth every 76 years? The only comment I've ever heard of is Haley.
Starting point is 00:59:05 Correct. Good job. Eddie, what's Hawaii's largest city? Honolulu. Correct. Wow! I mean, that's... Hawaii.
Starting point is 00:59:15 lunchbox is blown away. I mean, I don't even know if I knew a city in Hawaii. Aloha, bro. Amy, what president is on the $5 bill? I don't know. Ugh. Lincoln. Correct.
Starting point is 00:59:28 Yes, Amy. Come on. Way to dig deep. Thanks. Lunchbox, what's the coldest continent in the world? Antarctica. Correct. That's my boy.
Starting point is 00:59:41 That was good. Eddie, what is the zero degree, imaginary latitude line, which runs through the center of the earth. Say one more time. What's the zero degree imaginary latitude line, which runs through the center of the earth? That is the equator. That's correct. Easy trivia, three people remain.
Starting point is 01:00:06 I'm so stressed out. Amy, in the nursery rhyme, Jack and Jill, when Jack fell down, what did he break? Jack and Jill went up the hill to fetch a pill of water. Jack fell down, broke his crown, and Jill came tumbling after his crown. Correct. His crown. Lunchbox. That's his crown.
Starting point is 01:00:24 Yeah. What founding father? I don't even know what that means. Was on the $10 bill. It is on the $10 bill. What was? Is. Yes, it was here, but is.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Who's on the $10 bill? You love money. Yeah, but I don't know. I don't even know what a founding father means. I'm dizzy. Okay, just who's on the $10 bill? Oh, man. I forgot who Amy said on the $5 bill.
Starting point is 01:00:53 I have no idea. I'll just go with Washington. Why not? He's on the $1 bill. You've been boned. The answer is, anybody to know? Hamilton? Yeah, Alexander Hamilton.
Starting point is 01:01:08 I'm totally deflated right now. Eddie. You're still good, Amy. Okay, I'm in. Down to get back in. Down to two. Easy trivia, down to two. Eddie, what term refers to a luxurious apartment on the top floor of a building?
Starting point is 01:01:19 That is a penthouse. Yeah. Pretty good. Penthouse. Good one. Amy, if the score is Love 15, what sport are you playing? Tennis. I know.

Starting point is 01:02:10 Amy coming in clutch. Eddie, what is Aurora Borealis commonly known as? The Northern Lights. Wow. What? What? What? It's very beautiful.
Starting point is 01:02:25 I've never seen it, though. I can't. Amy, what actor starred as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies? Actor, actress. Hermione. Who played Hermione? Daniel Radcliffe's the boy, and the girl is... We're down to two.
Starting point is 01:02:55 Amy versus Eddie. She's brown hair. She's the girl, like, Emily, no. Need an answer? Time. Now, that's not boner yet. Yeah, I know.
Starting point is 01:03:13 If Eddie wins, he gets this question right, you're the champ again. What's her name? Her name was Emma Watson. Emma! I had Emily in my head. Golly. Eddie, the category is animals.
Starting point is 01:03:24 Love it. Okay. What island do lemurs come from? Wow. Wow. If he gets this, this is going to be a minute. I mean, I know. You deserve to win.
Starting point is 01:03:36 I know this because of the dumb cartoon. You got to move it, move it. Give me Madagascar. Oh. Madagascar is the answer. Wow. For a three-p. For the crown, the answer is
Starting point is 01:03:50 Madagascar. Yes! Oh my goodness. What do you want to say, champ? Wow. I just want to say I feel so smart right now. I'm a Tom Brady. I don't know if it's just they're not smart or I'm really smart.
Starting point is 01:04:08 That's not it. I'm smart. I'm smart. But, man, thank you, Amy Lunchbox. Morgan number two for making me feel so good today. Three-time champion. No one can touch you. Would you have known?
Starting point is 01:04:19 I'm just curious. Would you have known Emma Watson? No, I had Emma, but I was going to guess Emma Stone. Oh. So, no, I would have gotten that right. Yeah. Would you have gotten Madagascar? No.
Starting point is 01:04:29 Eddie, you have won. Wow. I mean, I don't know if we should retire the game. I'm texting my wife right now. There's Tom Brady, there's Michael Jordan, there's Secretariat, and there's Eddie. Who's secretariat? The horse. Is that the one that always wins?
Starting point is 01:04:40 They want. Yeah. Okay. All right. Luke Brian, Bobby Bone Show. Congratulations, Eddie. Thanks, man. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University.

Starting point is 01:06:28 at HyundaiUSA.com. Call 562-3-4-603 for complete details. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Seven-year-old Keegan Elliott was diagnosed with leukemia in November of 2018, but despite all the changes coming at him,
Starting point is 01:06:48 His love of skating has always been constant. He started skating at three years old, a few months before his diagnosis. Love to ice skate, and even though his daily treatments meant he could not skate regularly, he just always wanted to do it. So, the Make-A-Wish Michigan Foundation fulfilled a wish, and they built an ice skating rink in his backyard. Oh, my. Like, they made an ice skating rink. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:07:08 When he got off the school bus one afternoon, he was surprised by the Grand Rapids Griffin's mascot, the hockey team, their mascot Griff. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held to open the backyard skating rink. and Kegan enjoyed an afternoon of skating. The best news is, not just the skating rink, but he's on the mend and should finish his cancer treatments in April. Yeah. That's the best part of the story right there.
Starting point is 01:07:28 That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. So here is the question. It sucks a bad word. I don't ask it for me because it was never a bad word to me. I always said things sucked. However, Eddie's dealing with us now. Yeah, growing up for me, man, I couldn't say that word.
Starting point is 01:07:48 parents would be like, don't you ever say that word because it implied a bad thing. That's what they always said. I guess you're right when thinking about it, but that never was even my thinking when I said it as a kid. Well, growing up, I mean, even now, I'm just like, ooh, like, should I say that? So I'm at home and my kid comes home from school and he's telling me this story. It's a great story. I don't even remember it. But he's so animated about it about some friend of his. And then it turns out and he said it. And dad, it's. And I was like, He said it sucked. And he's seven years old or eight years old and I go,
Starting point is 01:08:22 I kind of let him sit there for a little bit and I say, hey, bud, let's not use that word just because, I don't know. It's not a great word. That's why. Do you say it though? No, that's right now. Do you say other words?
Starting point is 01:08:36 Oh, yeah. Okay. But I'm talking about it. That's weird. Do you curse in front of your kids? No. Never. Okay.
Starting point is 01:08:41 And that's what I'm saying. This is me in front of my kids, not me and my boys. Right. I say all kinds of words with them. But with my kids, I got to be. You say all the words? All the words. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:50 So I don't know. I just felt like that's kind of the way I was raised, but I don't really know. I don't really know if it's that bad of a word. I've made the decision in my house that it is because I told them not to say it. But I'm bringing it to you guys. What do you all think? Let's weigh in on this. It sucks a bad word.
Starting point is 01:09:06 I'm going to go, first of all, before I say yes or no, it's your house. You're the dad. Your rules. If you declare it bad to those kids, they can't say it. That's the rule. And I did that. That's done. So I'm not convincing you either direction.
Starting point is 01:09:17 I'm just telling you to me, no, it's not the happiest of words. It's not the most sanitary of words. But I don't curse and sucks never even feels like a bad word. To me, it just means like something that doesn't feel good, something bad, something unfortunate. Oh, that sucks. And I say it regularly on the show without even thinking it's something that could be taken as bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:09:38 And we don't know FCC regulation against sucks. Is it on that list? Well, I've been fine for a million dollars for other things. It is not. It is not officially listed as a bad. bad word. But I'm going to go no. You Amy? No. I say it. I might honestly my kids say it. But I, we don't encourage, I don't encourage saying it in public a lot. But in our home, like if they want to say it, they've said it. Suddenly they don't get in trouble for saying it.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Suddenly I'm feeling like a bad mom. No, no, you're not a bad mom. Yeah, no. We don't get in trouble for sex. I do try to make sure like, hey, let's keep that word in-house. Oh. You know? Like, I don't want them to be at school. telling a teacher, oh, this sucks, you know. Two votes, no. Lunchbox. I mean, it sucks Eddie's kids can't use it. I mean, what do you want them to do?
Starting point is 01:10:25 Well, Dad, we were running and I fell, and that was very unpleasant. That would actually be a nicer word to use. Well, there are other words to use. What other words are there besides? It stinks. Yeah. Unfortunate. That stinks.
Starting point is 01:10:38 It wasn't cool. I mean, that's just so much, it's easier to say. Unsatisfactory. I have never heard of someone that said sucks is a bad word. I have. I have. I have. But I never have. Morgan, sucks a bad word?
Starting point is 01:10:49 No, I don't think so at all. I think I used that a decent amount growing up as a kid. Ray? Not a bad word. Use away. Oh, well, then, okay. Eddie, we went five and oh. Yeah, that's crazy. I don't know. Maybe I was just raised weird. Any chance you'll let your kids say it now. No.
Starting point is 01:11:05 After hearing from us. I would say yes because you guys, you make a good point. But I've already told them don't say that word, so I got to stick with that. What if you give them coupons? Like, you've earned to get to say one sucks this week. Ooh, no, I'm not doing that. Because then they're going to start bartering for other words. I think it's your house, your rules.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Yeah. Yeah, and I don't think you're alone. I feel like there's probably a lot of people listening that are like, oh, yeah, we don't allow that word in our house. You're not, you're probably more normal than we are. Oh, okay. Oh, we're not normal at all in any way. Yeah. In life.
Starting point is 01:11:34 Yes. Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes from Catacusa County, Georgia. A man walked out in the morning to go to work and, oh, no, his pickup truck. truck is gone. Someone stole it out of the driveway. He's like, man, I guess I'm never going to get that back. And then he goes into his Google account. And what do you know?
Starting point is 01:11:54 He had left his cell phone in the truck and the thieves and started taking selfies in the truck. So there are the pictures. He sends him to police like, oh, we know these guys. Went and got him. I guess the craziest part of the story is that the guy left his cell phone in his truck. That's what stood out to you. In my mind, I went, why did the guy not have his phone with them? I would go crazy without my phone. And then how they, oh, I guess you don't need a code to take photos. True. You just hit the little camera. But why would they even think of taking photos with that phone?
Starting point is 01:12:22 Right, on the person's phone down. I would do dumb things and they don't stop at one dumb thing. The, uh, the bandits on Home Alone, they let the wet bandits. The wet bandits. They let the water run. Everyone has their signature mark, Eddie. Yeah. All right.
Starting point is 01:12:33 I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Do you have anything going on this weekend? Not, no, not really. I mean, a few things, but last weekend was so packed that I am pumped for this weekend because I like kind of having nothing to do. What about you? Well, I'm looking forward to the Arkansas basketball game, and we've won seven games in a row. We, because I play on the team. Yes, you do. And so...
Starting point is 01:12:54 Because you're so tall. Okay. I'm just really looking forward to the game. So that for me is... And, you know, I feel like I'm 80% after being sick. So not going to push it too much, but looking forward to a couple days off. Really dialed into that game. And then on Tuesday, because I know you guys care, we play number one Auburn. Oh, my gosh. That's going to be a good one. That's right. So that's what's that for me. What about you, Eddie, anything? Me, I got two basketball games for the kids, but there's no football this weekend. So I'm kind of like, what are we going to do? Nothing.
Starting point is 01:13:23 I guess there's Pro Bowl, but no one's going to watch that. Yeah, Pro Bowl kind of stinks. Lunchbox, you? No, that's going to be freezing cold, so hopefully maybe go to the jump house. We're the trampoline park, but nothing really exciting. Didn't your wife, like, tear her ankle on one of those ones? Yeah, she has PTSD from that. She said, I will not be jumping ever again on a jump trampoline.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Yeah, she was like one jump, and then she broke her ankle. Four jumps. Four. We were there six. Don't minimize. It took us four minutes to fill out the waiver, and then we got our shoes off, got on the trampoline, four jumps, had to leave, and I was so mad. Morgan, what's on the podcast? Why were you mad? She hurt herself.
Starting point is 01:13:58 I know, but we had a big group there, and we were like, oh, this is going to be so awesome. And they all got to stay and have fun. It ruined his night, Bobby. Rund her, like, next four months. Yeah, pretty much. And tickets to our IHeart Country Festival on sale today. Do you know where people get those tickets, Amy? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:12 I know you talk about it every day. Yes. Today at noon, Ticketmaster. dot com. And that's noon central. Noon central. Ticketmaster.com. Okay.
