There's a story I read this morning about two people that broke into a water park. They were drunk, and they wanted to ride this slide, but it was blocked off.
Starting point is 00:03:34 Not only was the place closed, but apparently the slide was blocked off. And they went down and shattered both their ankles. Oh. And now they want to sue the park. No, no, no, no. For not having a guard to prevent them from breaking in. No, no, that's the dumbest thing I ever heard. It's wrong with people.
Starting point is 00:03:47 What's wrong with people? What's wrong with people? You're going to sue someone because they didn't have enough security to keep your dumb butt from breaking in? That's ridiculous. Can't do that. A 46-year-old woman named Claire Vickers recently broke into a water park with her friend 40. They're in 40s. This is the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
Starting point is 00:04:04 They're not even 19. I know. I thought they were teenagers. It was around two in the morning. They were both drunk. They got in by crawling under a fence. Once they were in, they made the way to the water slides. The water wasn't on.
Starting point is 00:04:15 So they got and they splashed water on it to make it wet. Okay, good thinking. Hey, improvised. It was a big yellow slide that's a straight shot. It's like, boom, straight down, right? But it was dark, and they were too drunk to realize that at the bottom of the slide, it was blocked off. So what happens when you slide into something and there's a barrier? You break your legs.
Starting point is 00:04:35 They went down into it. to it and they shatter both their ankles because they didn't neither of them could walk no one was around they had to bang on the slide for two hours until someone heard them then it took another hour to get help and so
Starting point is 00:04:49 they were in the hospital for two weeks they're both still in wheelchairs and so they're like you know do we sue? No another bad decision they said yeah let's sue yeah they want to sue the park for not having a security guard or a better fencing to prevent them for breaking it
Starting point is 00:05:06 Okay. These is maybe the dumbest people we've ever heard. I know, but watch them get some money. Boy, that's tough. I know. You break into a house, you robbed the house, the homeowner comes out, beat you up, shoot you. You sued them because they didn't have better locks on the door. I mean, I'm assuming sometimes those cases do happen.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Oh, man. Two men have been fined after shooting off a flare gun at a wedding. Uh-oh. Causing a Coast Guard search? Because if you see a flare, you're supposed to go try to figure out where the flare came from. It was a wedding. People don't shoot flares for fun. I guess they do, but you're not supposed to.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I mean, they kind of look like fireworks, right? Perry Phillips and Benjamin Foster in Rhode Island accidentally set off a needless and expensive ocean search and rescue effort when they fired maritime distress flares to celebrate her friend's wedding. Okay, yeah, no distress flares to celebrate.
Starting point is 00:05:54 The Coast Guard and the town spent more than $100,000 responding to this. There was no one in distress. They borrowed a flare gun and flares, set out on the water in a small skiff, fired three flares that could be seen by everyone at the wedding. They recorded their actions to post on social media. Of course. The two men have agreed to pay $5,000 each TBD on what's going on here.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Okay, well then, so the city's out, the other $90,000? I know, for them being an idiot. They should do some sort of public service too. Hey, when they see the Coast Guard doing all their search and everything, what are they doing? Running. Take the video down. Yeah, deleting, hiding the flaring, calling the person they got it from. You don't know what you didn't see us. Yeah, I'm freaking out a little bit. Yeah, for sure. It reminds me if Arkansas beats Ole Miss this weekend, I want to shoot my shotgun
Starting point is 00:06:39 into the air. No, you're not. Don't say that out loud. No, you're not. Why not? Because you're going to end up on the bonehead story today. Boom, boom, boom, boom. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:06:50 Okay, here's what we're going to do here. Today's Bobbycast, after the show, it gets loaded after the show, Reba is on for an hour straight. It's crazy. I talked to her because there was a rumor. We talked a lot of rumors. One of them was, did she actually tell Faith Hill she wouldn't hire her as a background singer back in the day.
Starting point is 00:07:07 And I was nervous to ask the question because sometimes this stuff's all for crap. Reba was like, yeah, that's true. I didn't think she was a good harmony singer. And she tells more of that story. She thought Faith was going to be a star in a different way, but she was like she wasn't that good of a harmony singer. Another one was,
Starting point is 00:07:21 Kathy Bates' role in Titanic. Yes. It was like, is it true that you turned down a role in Titanic? Here is this clip. Unsinkable Molly Brown was the part I was going to play. I went auditioned for James Cameron, and we were back on tour, and they needed
Starting point is 00:07:35 like August, September, and October. So we moved our concerts to November, December, and then January. And then they would, I mean, you start getting all the venues. We were promoting ourselves. And you get all that set. And then they'll come back and go, you know, we're going to have to move it three months. Well, you can't do that. I've got people that are depending on me for their livelihood.
Starting point is 00:07:56 That's their paycheck. So I said, sorry, I can't do this to my people. So I turned down that part. Oh, wow. That's cool. She was offered that part, turned it down. That's awesome. She was looking out for her people.
Starting point is 00:08:07 And that's why. It's a great, I hope you guys hear it today. It's happening, friends. Thanks for hanging out. Big segment with Old Dominion coming up. We're going to do a little bit of full band karaoke. Like, they're going to be the live band and Amy, Morgan, Ray. You guys are all going to try to sing with them, one of their hits.
Starting point is 00:08:24 Yeah. They got a new record out. But we're going to do some of that too. But later on, with Old Dominion, we'll have a performance by the members of the show as well. All right, let's go and open the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:39 Hello, Bobby Bones. I need some advice. For several years, I've been sleeping on the couch. All because my husband's snoring is so bad, I cannot get sleep when I sleep next to him. It's a very sore subject because it really hurts his feelings that he cannot sleep next to his wife. It breaks my heart knowing it.
Starting point is 00:08:57 It upsets him. I've tried everything I can, but I cannot get a good night's rest. We have tried every snore device ever made. I've tried earplugs. I've tried everything. I went so badly to be able to sleep in the room with my husband, but I just have to function throughout the day, and it's hard without rest.
Starting point is 00:09:13 Should I continue to sleep on the couch or suck it up for the sake of his feelings? I don't know what else we can try. What do you think we should do? Signed, sleepless in Scottsburg. Well, the first thing I see is, why are you sitting on the couch? Go to another room.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Maybe they don't have another room. Go to another. Listen, even when I was living in the trailer, we had another room to go into. Oh, okay. Yeah, there's rarely a one-room house. Unless it's an apartment, and you could turn that couch into a, even then a bed.
Starting point is 00:09:37 I'd put a bed in the living. I wouldn't sleep on the couch because you're also going to feel your back's going to hurt. Yeah, you can't get a good night's sleep. I would assume they have more than a room, just for the sake of the story. Okay. I think he's being selfish. Why? He snores.
Starting point is 00:09:52 And his little feelings getting hurt. She can't sleep. She's on the couch every night. If he snores, you have to adjust to that, and maybe she just sleeps in a different bed in a different room. But I think she wants to sleep with him, too. I do, too. I do too, but if they've tried everything, if they've tried going to the doctor, tried the sleep apnea machine, if they've tried the, if they've tried everything, I don't think she should have to suffer every night and always be tired, fatigued, probably getting sick because she's not getting enough rest. Like sleep is it, sleep in water.
Starting point is 00:10:23 If you're not getting those, nothing else is really going to happen for you. It may for a second, but you're going to break down without it. So if his feelings are getting hurt Because you can't sleep next to him He either needs to figure out himself Like go and pursue other means to fix it Or he's got to understand You're just going to sleep in a different bedroom
Starting point is 00:10:42 Or he maybe should go to another room That too. My point is You're not going to be able to sleep together Yeah Yeah, it's unfortunate I hate that for him Yeah, that's such a bummer But she should not have to just suck it up
Starting point is 00:10:54 And be awake all night Next to someone who sleeps poorly and loudly rotating system where it's like every other day they switch. The problem with that is sleep is about consistency. Yeah, I mean, they should just come to an arrangement that's going to work and stick with it. Because that can get, yeah. I would say you don't need to sleep on the couch.
Starting point is 00:11:14 If you live in a one-bedroom apartment, you need to get you a little bed. You can fold out and put in a living room. If you have another bedroom, you should just make that your sleep room. And at the same time, he's pursuing a way to fix his snoring. I don't snore. I do everything else. I talk all the time. Kick, spit,
Starting point is 00:11:35 pee. You talk like in a feminine voice too, right? Is that what Caitlin? Yeah, sometimes Caitlin says I talk like this. I don't know what to do. But you should not suck it up and just lay next to him and be miserable. That's the end of this. Yeah, you need rest.
Starting point is 00:11:50 You need rest too. And if he's being such a baby about it that he's making you feel guilty about it, that's on him and he's being selfish. I think that's his own. insecurities probably coming through. So hopefully he can work on that. But sometimes you got to go to the doctor and chase the doctor and figure out. It's work sometimes to figure out how to fix yourself, both mentally, emotionally and physically.
Starting point is 00:12:14 I'm going through all kinds of crap right now with my body. My wrist, I apparently have a damaged TFC ligament in between my wrist and my hand. Oh. I had to go to the, and he's like, how are you even like working out? Because this thing is so messed up. I gotta go for MRI next week. I got a colonoscopy coming up. It's work to go to the doctor.
Starting point is 00:12:33 But I got to fix this stuff. Because I'm always complaining. My stomach hurts. My wrist hurts. But I don't want Caitlin. I always have to deal with me whining about it. So I'm trying to fix myself. And so should he.
Starting point is 00:12:44 And you sleep in a different room. You know what? We got extra bedroom at our place. Oh, come on over? Yes. I'm not sure where Scottsburg is. But that's what it is. You sleep somewhere else.
Starting point is 00:12:55 That's fine. you guys work together on fixing his snoring and eventually you can be back together. Everybody cool with that? Yeah. All right. Thank you for the email. I'll close it up.
Starting point is 00:13:03 We've got your email and we've read it on the air. Now it's time to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. Morgan, if people want to email us, what do they do? Mailbag at bobbybones.com. Fun fact Friday. Five fun facts. Curated by Amy.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Let's count them down. Number five. When people first came up with the concept, a brunch in the late 1800s. It was actually called Blunch. Let me think about this. Blunch. Breakfast. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But that didn't have a great ring to it. So eventually people started calling it brunch. Let me think about this. Brunch. Blunch. No difference to me. Blunch? Oh, brunch is way better than brunch. Only because we know it that way.
Starting point is 00:13:47 Okay. Well, no, it didn't work out in the 1800s. They can feel it. I think I'm going to bring it back. You know how they bring back old names for kids and they're cool again? Mm-hmm. Ask Caitlin if she wants to go get some blunch. I don't hate it. It's not that much different, though, in reality. Number four. So a study found that the song, Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites by Scrillix.
Starting point is 00:14:08 You know that song? What's it called? Scary monsters and nice sprites. Spirits? Sprites. Is it called? It Sprites, really? I don't know what's happening here. Okay. Well, they have discovered that this song is a mosquito.
Starting point is 00:14:24 repellent due to its low frequency vibrations, the mosquitoes don't like it. Same with me. You're like a mosquito. It's scaring me away, too. Okay, can we turn it down? Yeah, but mosquitoes like you, then maybe you just have that playing low in the background on your porch
Starting point is 00:14:43 so that way they stay away with some centronella. Maybe while you're having some blanche. You can play this. Number three. So bidets are considered amazing. Key green technology. If Americans use them instead of toilet paper, the country would save an estimated 15 million trees a year,
Starting point is 00:15:01 as well as billions of gallons of water needed for paper production. And your butt will be clean. Yeah. Normalized bidetes in America. I agree. I've been saying it forever. We are not a clean. A lot of Western culture isn't that clean. A lot of Eastern culture is. You know, why? Because they clean their butts with water.
Starting point is 00:15:20 Not a dry piece of paper. Thank you. Maybe we should give her days. Thank you for coming my test dog. Andre the Giant was drafted into the French army in 1965, but then couldn't end up serving because they didn't have shoes that were big enough for him. Oh, wow. Bunks that were long enough or trenches that were deep enough.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Yeah, he probably would have stood out in that trench, huh? That documentary about him, very interesting because I was a big wrestling kid, but very sad. Yeah. As famous and as rich as he got for a while, super sad. Couldn't be flying an airplane really. Yeah. Because he was so large. He couldn't even stay in hotels.
Starting point is 00:15:57 Crazy, crazy, crazy. Number one. This is crazy. We're talking about crazy. In 1954, Ernest Hemingway survived two plane crashes in Africa in two days. He was presumed dead almost 24 hours later until he was found coming out of the jungle, carrying bananas and a bottle of gin. They'd even written an obituary for him in everything.
Starting point is 00:16:19 Two plane crashes in two days. So he was pardoning in the jungle? I mean, I guess that's just... He got it probably off the plane and then emerged from the jungle. That's what he saved. I need the bananas and my gin. Yeah, but you would think plane crash number one, you don't even get on a plane, you know? But I guess it's Africa he had to get somewhere.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Maybe it was the only mode of transportation. I wonder if he flew after that. Also flying in the 50s? Oh, yeah, big deal. Not everyone did that. I don't want to fly today. They were barely figuring it out. Yeah, I'm like, I still like, how do they get this metal up so high?
Starting point is 00:16:50 Why do we trust it? Yeah, that's wild. Thank you, Amy. There you go. Fact Friday Baby Boncham The latest from Nashville and Hollywood Morgan number two's 30 second skinny
Starting point is 00:17:02 Mitchell Tim Penny announced a new holiday album called Nottie List. It will be out on October 29th. Here's the title track. I'm a wind up on the Nottie List and maybe I don't care. It all started with a missile toe
Starting point is 00:17:21 your sexy men's clothes in his skirt. Hardy released a collaboration with Chris Lane and Scotty McCreary called Small Town on it. Albums out today, Old Dominion's album called Time, Tequila, and Therapy. Josh Turner's Christmas album called King Size Manger, Cody Johnson's Human, the Double Album. Enriba McIntyre's album called Revived, Remixed, Revisited, which features her collaboration with Dolly Parton, here it is.
Starting point is 00:18:15 He loves me. Does he think of you? Does he think of you? When he is, he whispered. Does he menacee? I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:18:37 With Amy. Tell me something good. Did you know that baby squirrels, their tails can get all tangled up together? Well, it happened. Like in Michigan? Like cords? Yeah. Well, yes.
Starting point is 00:18:51 So the squirrels were in a nest and the nest fell out of the chest. tree and they were all like knotted together so they landed on the ground and someone came upon them and they were like oh my goodness like y'all are all tangled up so they called some police officers and they came by and with the mother there watching nearby they untangled the squirrel's tails yeah wow they untangled them the skidaddle humane wildlife control was also present so pretty cool I don't even know that could happen but the fact that mom didn't jump in and try to kill them yeah Like squirrel attack? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:19:24 That's pretty cool. Everybody's doing great and all the schools are happy and healthy. All the training we did is officers. We never got trained in untying squirrel tables. Yeah. Good for them. Good story. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:19:34 That was Tell Me Something Good. Starting point is 00:23:52 A hundred dollar bill. Morgan, this can be yours. I won it. She won't it. All right. Right on time for the weekend. Hey, are you still going to like party this weekend? Yeah, no, no, no, I'm good.
Starting point is 00:24:02 She's taking a break. I'm good. Your birthday kind of. For a minute, yeah. Go back and listen to the podcast. Morgan had a situation on her birthday. Yeah, that went down a little sketchy. She fell down the stairs and we were like, well, they don't drink so much.
Starting point is 00:24:14 And then she was like, no, somebody put something to my drink. You still think that's the... Yeah, very confident in that. Okay, let's play Who Wants to Be 100 Air? Seven questions. The first question is the $1 question. You'll have 15 seconds. How many of each animal did Noah take on the ark?
Starting point is 00:24:35 Oh, no. She goes out with $1. Wait, wait. Yeah, I'm not kidding. You have three lifelines. You can ask a friend in the studio. You can do the coin flip or you can shoot a, you know, a shot into the trash can with a paper wand.
Starting point is 00:24:48 Well, apparently I'm already going for a lifeline. This is not a solid start. Wow. I cannot believe this. You don't know how many of each animal Noah took on the arm? I really don't. I mean, I think I've only seen the movie with Jim Carrey. That's the only reference I have.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Bruce Almighty? What is that? Yeah, Bruce Almighty. Amy, I'm going to Amy. Amy, the answer is two. That's great. Thank you for that. Thanks for my $1.
Starting point is 00:25:14 You're welcome. Wow. It's the lifeline gone. Yep. Okay. There's that. Okay, your $5 question, would you like to continue for $5? Yep.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Get the coin ready. What Australian animal sleeps up to 22 hours a day? Ooh, well, I don't think that's a kangaroo, but koala bears, I believe, do because they stay up in trees. And I'm pretty confident in that. So, koala bears. I would have accepted koala bears or lunchbox. Both would have been accepted. Koala bears is good.
Starting point is 00:25:43 All right. You ready for the $10 question? I am. Let's do it. What was Will Ferrell's character name in the 2003 hit Elf? What was Will Ferrell's character's name in that movie? The Christmas movie, Elf. Well, I believe it was Buddy.
Starting point is 00:26:04 I'm not sure if he had a last name or if I need a full name. I think he was just referred to, though, as Buddy the Elf. So Buddy the Elf is my final answer. Buddy the Elf is correct. Now, would you like to say? Keep $10 or would you want to go for $20? No, let's go for that $20. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:26 Which U.S. state has the fewest amount of syllables. Now you have 30 seconds. Fewest amount of syllables. Which U.S. state has the fewest amount of syllables? Texas. You can talk it out. It could be one. Texas could be one syllable.
Starting point is 00:26:47 It's going to be a short one. It's not going to be like a South Dakota. It's going to be like a Texas. Don't laugh at me because you can't throw it away. Hawaii has a lot. California. She hits a eight. You have six seconds, Morgan.
Starting point is 00:27:04 Oh, boy. You have two lifelines, a coin flip or... Love the coin. She's going to flip the coin. Wait, what? Well, by the way, Texas has two syllables. She knows that. Yeah, that's what I was...
Starting point is 00:27:16 I just couldn't. She knows that she hadn't made it to the one syllables yet. I was working down to him. Okay. Do you guys know the answer? Maine. Maine. Maine.
Starting point is 00:27:24 Maine. One syllable. All right, you're flipping the coin for $20. Would you like heads or tells? Heads, please. And here is the coin flip. Amy, if you'll let us know where it lands. What she said?
Starting point is 00:27:38 She said heads. He said heads! It's head! We've never had a coin flip miss. No. Three for three on that one. Morgan, here's where you are right now. All right.
Starting point is 00:27:49 We can go to the $50. question. Okay. If you'd like, or you can, you know what? I brought a $20 bill just in case. You can have that. Nah, that's okay. No, no, I want you to see the $20 bill.
Starting point is 00:28:03 It's fresh. $20 bill. You've been playing terribly, by the way. I know. I just want to be honest with you as a friend. You've really, really sucked. She nailed koala bear. Yeah, but she didn't know the arc or she didn't know.
Starting point is 00:28:14 And she said Texas has one syllable. Let's all be honest, we heard that. She did? I didn't hear that. I was sounding, yeah. You know, I'm big fan of you, but here's $20 in cash. You can take it right now. Yeah, but that's not any fun.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Nobody wants to go for 20. Everybody wants to go for the 100. $50 question? Is that what you want? Yeah, let's do it. Let's go, $50 question. She has one lifeline left, which is the paper one. Which rock group released an album called The Joshua Tree in 1987.
Starting point is 00:28:46 30 seconds starts now. And this is before you were born. These are what always get me in Elder versus Millennial, too. The Beatles is a rock band. That could be it. 1987. The Joshua Tree. Another rock band's ACDC.
Starting point is 00:29:04 Another one is... 1987, the Joshua Tree. You have 10 seconds. Eagles. I just always like to get the paper ready. Paper wide for the shot. Just in case, same a. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:24 You know what? Because the seconds keep counting down on me and it's dressing me out. I'm doing the paper wad. She's going to do the paper wad and not give an answer. Okay. Eddie, that answer from 1987 that Joshua tree was? That would be you too, bones. That's correct.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Yeah, see, I wasn't even close. I mean, I wouldn't have known that. One of the Beatles was already dead when this came out. They had been split up for. Yeah, John Lennon. Yeah. Yeah, but to someone born in the mid-90s-ish that the Beatles seemed like. I don't think so because I was born in the 80s and they'd, but I get it.
Starting point is 00:29:54 Was the Beatles the one with the Walker, the Abbey Road? That's what I was picturing. That was a problem. Okay. Okay, for $50, Morgan, you have a paper wad in your hand. There's a trash can across the room. If you make it, you get a shot to go to the next question. Okay. Here we go. Three, two, one. Oh, so hard. So hard.
Starting point is 00:30:16 I'm sorry, and that concludes. Who wants to be 100 air? Oh, Morgan, really didn't do that great. But I tell you, the only person to nail the number of the dice. Yeah, I'm really good at luck. Really bad at trivia. Pick another number, 1-200. 87. 87.
Starting point is 00:30:35 The number is? 85. Oh, number? It is? Yeah, she's sniffing it. She can smell it. She's inching up to it. That's right.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Well, you didn't win any money this time, but she had a heck of a performance. She had a lot of heart, a lot of spirit. As we learned, she's not going to drink any alcohol this weekend. Good for you. I think we've developed this game enough, though, to we can get a listener to play next week. Okay. And you'll represent the listener. Oh, so they pick who they want to play?
Starting point is 00:31:01 Well, they play the questions, but do they want someone to shoot the paper wide for them? Oh, yeah. Yeah, so maybe they, but they can Google it. That's the problem. Yeah, that's tricky. I think they pick a player for them. Okay, good. Yeah, Monday, we get a listener on.
Starting point is 00:31:14 So I just shot it playing me. I haven't gotten to play yet. I'm just lifeline. You haven't played 100 a year? No, I'm Lifeline, Amy. But you're a good lifeline, though. I haven't missed a lifeline. Well, you knew Noah's Ark.
Starting point is 00:31:23 Everybody in the world did. Yeah, except Morgan. We get a lot of voicemails. We get a lot of voicemails, and thank you for sending them. if you listen to this on podcast, and you're like, I got to call into the show. 877 Bobby. If you call and it's busy, you may get the voicemail. Instead of going to the busy line and may connect you to the voicemail.
Starting point is 00:31:43 877-Bobby. I have a question for Amy. My sister just started dating a pilot, and it's about three months in, and it's his birthday. What would be some good pilot-plain-related presents that don't scream? Too committed, but also, like, we're not friends. We kiss. Oh, okay. So there's like, there's coffees that are like really strong. I think just Google like jet fuel coffee, which is kind of cute because there's a play on jet airplane and they need really strong coffee when they're up there flying around. So I feel like with a cute thermos or mug or travel like or Yeti type situation, that could be a really cute gift that's not too over the top. Nailed it. That's good, Amy. She knew that immediately. Amy's husband's pilot in case you're new to the show and like, how does Amy know so much about pilots?
Starting point is 00:32:29 Jet fuel coffee. Heck, that might be good for everybody. Yeah. I mean, I just, you can probably find different kinds that might be a play on it. But just something strong and cute, be good to go. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So a school is trying to ban parents from wearing pajamas to the school drop off. Are they getting out of their cars?
Starting point is 00:32:50 I mean, some parents do. Listen, I was behind a dad the other day that acted like he was sending his kid off to college. And I was like, chop, chop, buddy. Like, what are you doing? Like, get in the car, let's go. You're holding everybody up. And he was like, giving her a hug. I mean, maybe she had a rough day.
Starting point is 00:33:04 But I guess sometimes you do have to get out of your car. Chop, chop, pops. Yeah, no, I mean, that was about to be the person that honked in the school drop off line, which would be not very nice. There must be something that's causing them to make this rule because this doesn't seem like just a common sense rule. Well, they're saying that it's important to teach your kids to, like, get ready and the kids are expected to be dressed. Oh, that's bull crap. Let me finish.
Starting point is 00:33:26 The kids are expected to be dressed a certain thing. way when going to school and looking presentable and they feel like parents should set that example and do the same. They're dropping them off in their car. I know. I thought like a dad was getting out in like his boxers and you're like, they see son in the moon. Or mom in the Victoria's Secret.
Starting point is 00:33:42 With her robe. Victoria's Secret. You know what I mean? Monterey. That's dumb. That's the dumbest reason they ever heard. Okay. I love how Eddie thinks the moms are just dropping the kids off.
Starting point is 00:33:53 It could be anything, right? Okay. He's in Fantasy Lane right now. I vote against that though. Thumb down. probably robes and slippers and thumbs down. Okay, thumbs down. I mean, I agree. I agree. I mean, sometimes I just want like a
Starting point is 00:34:04 job well done. You got your kids to school. You're also not going to class. It's not like you're going to work and what you're dropping them off in. Or maybe thumbs down. Okay. Well, tell me if you're a thumbs up or thumbs down to this. Kellogg's and Wendy's are dropping Wendy's Frosty Chocolatey cereal. Kellogg's. Yeah, so it's.
Starting point is 00:34:24 Why is Wendy's doing it, though? Well, they partnered with the chocolate frosty. So it mixes crispy cocoa-co-co-co-co-coded round cereal bites with chocolate-flavored marshmallow. So it tastes like a frosty, but it's cereal. Fine. Well, inside the box, you're going to get a free coupon for an actual Wendy's Frosty. Thumbs up. Thumbs up.
Starting point is 00:34:43 So that's fine. And if that sounds yummy to you, it's hitting shelves in December. The thing is, it says Wendy's Frosty on the front of the box. I just think of Wendy's hamburgers. Oh. Because the Wendy's logo is up there. Yeah. It looks like I'm eating hamburger cereal.
Starting point is 00:34:56 But it does sound pretty good. All right, what else? So Dustin Lynch talked about when he got heartbroken in high school and the music that he would listen to when that would happen. You only get one option usually when you're growing up to have a high school sweetheart. And by the time you ruined that one, all your buddies have dated the others. So she ruined, I guess, what I thought was going to be a lifelong relationship. And I remember just thinking the world ended.
Starting point is 00:35:20 So thank God for a John Merritt record and whatever sad Rascal Flat song to get me through those dark days. everybody gets one high school sweetheart I got zero that's all I hear I don't hear anything about music It's like you know everybody gets one I was like wait wait we do Well so John Mayer and Rascal Flats
Starting point is 00:35:35 helped him get through that What got you through your non high school breakups I didn't know So none What got you through? I had to listen to music For just being lonely Everybody hurts
Starting point is 00:35:48 REM That was just my general song from like I don't know 16 to 30 Dang Sometime There was a couple years where you'd look at your most played songs whenever it was downloads and not streams.
Starting point is 00:35:59 And that song dominated. Yeah. Every year, because I would just go home, work all day. When the day is young in the night. And I was like, this is my jam. I cook dinner. One of my college breakups almost ruined. It's a great day to be alive to me
Starting point is 00:36:14 because I wanted to listen that and cry in the shower after we broke up. So I'm torn when that comes on because it's so good, but it also makes me think of him. It's nice you had somebody. I'm Amy. That's my podcast. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:36:29 It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Yeah, home it's something good. Myla Garza is six years old. She lives in Texas, and she's been growing out her hair since she was born. She's never cut it. At six years old, well, she heard a story about kids that have cancer, and they lose all their hair, and they need wigs made.
Starting point is 00:36:48 So she says, you know what? I'm going to cut all my hair off, and I'm going to donate it. So she did that. She donated to Petra Hair Design in Lubbock. and she says, you know what, I did this. And if I can get the story out, a lot of people can do it as well. I got to think about those parents, too, who raised a kid to be selfless. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:07 Like to go, I mean, this kid's in school, too. So it's not like she's four and she can just be home for most of the day. Like, she did that even though she's in school. Amy, how long does hair get at six years old? Six years are growing it. Oh, it's long. It's pretty long. She probably still has hair even though she cut it.
Starting point is 00:37:22 But, I mean, everyone's hair is a little bit different, but still, like, she'd, hadn't never cut her hair and she makes this decision to do it for other people. That's awesome. Yeah, good kid alert. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Let's welcome to the studio, Old Dominion, they're here today. You know, this is a sacred spot.
Starting point is 00:37:41 No one comes in the top of this hour spot. We never allow a guest in the spot. Well, thank you. That's right. So what we're going to do is... Does that mean we're family now? We're not even guests anymore? You know, you just took up so much of the room.
Starting point is 00:37:52 Yeah. We really did. There's so many of you guys. Logistics. Yeah, it's just kind of like you're here, so... But what we're going to do is Amy does her morning corny, and I thought maybe we could have a little keys under while she does it. Oh, a little special edition.
Starting point is 00:38:08 So, Ray, we don't need you. We got Old Dominion playing the background here. I've got Trevor on keys for me. Trevor, if you would mind playing us little something leading us into this. There you go, Amy. It's nice. So who helps the little pumpkins cross the road to school? Who helps the little pumpkins cross the road to school?
Starting point is 00:38:27 The Crossing Gord. There it is. Wow, wow. I've never felt more musical. Trevor's contributed to the Morning Corny before. I did. Yeah. Original joke.
Starting point is 00:38:39 Yeah, he texted me one that he wrote. And I told it. I don't think I've heard. Oh, I heard this story. I don't remember. Tell me the joke again. Why did the thief quit stealing windows? Why did the thief quit stealing windows?
Starting point is 00:38:55 Because it was a painstaking process. Oh, and we got the drums. Wow, we got the whole thing here. That's the real deal. Wow, okay. So now you got my sound check noodles on piano and my terrible dad jokes. You have both ways that I drive the band crazy. Is he the dad joke guy in the band?
Starting point is 00:39:12 I think Matt's the dad joke. I've got a joke. I've got my original joke I could tell. I've never told it on this show. Hickory, Dickery, Doc. No, no, no. No, not that one. All right, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:39:24 How does Charles Kelly stop a horse? How does Charles Kelly of Lady Annabellum Stop a horse? Got it. I should say Lady A. Lady A, that's right. Whoa, whoa, that's a good one too. All right. Old Dominion is here, not for their health.
Starting point is 00:39:38 They have a new record that's out today. It's a very exciting day for me because, as you guys know, I'm your biggest fan. Thank you. I stand, OD. So glad you guys are here. We're going to play a bunch of songs. We've basically set aside this whole hour for you guys. I do want to do something new.
Starting point is 00:39:52 I know you guys like to play the hits, but you mind playing some new stuff for us today? We'd love to. Sure. Okay. And then what we're going to do, too, by the way, we're going to have a karaoke contest with the band. They have agreed to play one of their hits, but with no vocals. And we're going to have a competition between Ramundo, Morgan, and Amy. There you go.
Starting point is 00:40:13 What's your name again? And the winner next week's show gets to pick their own segment. Whatever you guys want to do, you have the power to pick one segment. Do we judge? Are we the judges? I think that will be great, actually. You know, I've actually been a judge in the international air guitar championship. Really?
Starting point is 00:40:28 I have experience in this sort of thing. All right. It's a cool story. Hey, whether it's cool or not, it's true, man. Who show is this? Old Dominion has a new record out today. It's out today. You guys go and get the record that's out today.
Starting point is 00:40:44 How many songs are on Time to Keel and Therapy? 13, I think. Yeah. Lucky 13. So I was going to ask, is 13 or is there a reason it's 13? Or just that many good songs? I think it's the nature of how we made the album was, you know, we went to Asheville,
Starting point is 00:40:58 North Carolina, we just camped out there. We wrote everything in the studio while we were there, so we would write the song in the morning, and then we recorded that evening. And that's how many we got. We got 14, actually, but we didn't record the 14th because... Hey, that one sucked. I heard it.
Starting point is 00:41:12 It really wasn't your best word. I'm lucky number 14. You're not wrong. Listen, I've spent a little time with the record this morning. If you don't mind, would you play All I Know About Girls? I'm a jack of all trades And a master of none A renaissance man
Starting point is 00:41:40 If there's everything one Got a pretty good handle on a lot Of things but I ain't figured out Everything It's all I know about girls Is a wide world Ain't gonna spend without them But it'll spend around
Starting point is 00:41:54 All I know about girls Is you best get out of their way Shut your damn mouth She got something to say It's like yeah baby No, baby, whatever you want, maybe whatever it is, it's my phone. All I know about girls is, all I know about girls is, I don't know nothing at all, no nothing. Come on, Old Dominion, new music here.
Starting point is 00:42:28 It's awesome. When you guys named it Time, Tequila, and Therapy, was that, we should name it Time, and this one guy goes, we should name it Tequila? Or, like, does it come together? It's actually, it's a lyric. it's a line from the song No Hard Feelings it's on the album So the first line of that song It took a little time to Kieland Therapy
Starting point is 00:42:47 And I don't know We spend so much time trying to come up with names for albums It's terrible thing to try and name an album It's like you could always just pick a title track or whatever But for some reason we want to make it hard on ourselves And not do that But that like lyrics seem to kind of sum up the whole thing Harder to name an album or a kid
Starting point is 00:43:04 An album for sure I guess you just let your wife name Five people yeah Yeah, less votes. Is that the situation with you? And I'm asking you, someone who I do plan to have kids, my wife's not pregnant right now, but we're definitely having those conversations.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Did you let the wife decide, for the most part, if there was a tie? Man, it's like every decision I feel like you make it. So yes, the wife makes the decision. No, this is the way I do. Yeah, what did you? Yeah, I was like, I think that when she speaks, you listen. The way I make every decision and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:43:36 look, I don't care, just pick. And then she picks. And I go, yeah, I don't know. but there. Old Dominions here. We're going to come back. You know the song that I love is Hawaii, and it's been out for a bit, for a few weeks anyway. Love the song. If you'll play that when we come back, I get some more questions, and then we're going to do
Starting point is 00:43:54 after that the karaoke competition. Do you guys know what song? You know what song you're singing? Yeah. Hotel Key. Okay, just making sure. Because we'd really throw one at you if you didn't know. So then you're going to perform Hotel Key with Old Dominion. I know. It's going to be amazing. They have a song I love called Hawaii, which we're going to play in just a second.
Starting point is 00:47:46 But do you ever do as part of your live show, Matthew, where you go, okay, let me introduce everybody on the band in the band and they do like a little something solo? No. You don't do that? No. Okay, here's what I'd like to do then. I would like to do that. And then you have like, because, you know, you would watch these, you know, Zeppelin or, you know,
Starting point is 00:48:04 journey and they're like, oh, I, the drum, but see, we're very acoustic in here. So what I want to do is that, and then each of you do a little something like for five seconds. Oh, your own little mini talent show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. All right. First let me introduce our lead singer, Matthew Ramsey. Oh, I'm in this. Woo-hoo. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Yeah. That's great. Woo! On the guitar and the keys, Trevor. You both. Do both. Face. James.
Starting point is 00:48:42 That's cool On guitar On guitar Brad And the guy holding it together In the rhythm section The drums It's Wint
Starting point is 00:49:01 Oh boy Witt See how fun is that Every show you guys should just get a second Yes that's definitely part of the show now Man what's that See that's what we're missing We need that You'd read some of those stuff
Starting point is 00:49:16 Like Van Halen, where they would have the drummer play like a 20-minute, 30-minute drum solo so they could go under the stage and, like, hook up. What? Chug Jack Daniel. Yeah, like, they would have different people do long solo so they could go off stage and do. I'm pretty sure one of those guys came in and said that story on our show. It's also a solid plan if you don't have enough good songs to play that night. Just solo the crap out of it. I think we could probably use a break like that, you know, where we take a 20-minute solo just so somebody could go pee.
Starting point is 00:49:46 That's what I was going to do. I've done the bathroom break thing before. Or like, Eddie, I got a pee. Can you guys cover for me for a second? And they're like, boom, do, do, boom. They're just jamming on stage. Actually, there is a spot in the show where Brad does a little, like, solo thing and then before a song, and that is my chance to run off and go pee fast. Any long solo? That's the only one during a live show?
Starting point is 00:50:02 I have no concert. That could last, like, 35 seconds or three minutes. I have no idea. Yeah, we don't know either. We're just waiting on your. Yeah. Could you jam band, like, Hotel Key, if you needed to on stage where it's like, for example, we were, Eddie and I were playing Strawberry Fest in Tampa and Arkansas was playing.
Starting point is 00:50:21 And I did not want to go on stage because it was like 18 seconds left in the fourth quarter. And I was like, I can't go right now. So the, but we contractually had to go play. So they played like 22 minutes of just, like one at a time. I'm sure that was riveting. Could you, the crowd's like, what is happening here? Could you guys like Dave Matthews band jam band any of these songs if you needed to? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Sure, yeah. We've done enough. No one would be writing any reviews about it. I mean, you heard those solos we just threw out. I did. Yeah, I did that. That's something else, huh? But I did throw that at you, too. All right, time tequila in therapy is the record that's out today. And a few weeks ago, whenever you guys put Hawaii out as one of the songs, the early songs from it,
Starting point is 00:51:04 I talked about it and featured it. It was like, man, this is my favorite song of the week. So a special request for me, would you guys mind playing Hawaii here? No. All right. Here they are, Old Dominion, playing their song, Hawaii. I'll take another. cold beer from your brother Got a story I tell you
Starting point is 00:51:38 Could you drop a pink umbrella in my highlight Make it look like a my tie I'll paint you a palm tree picture A couple fools in paradise Swept up in the movie Living life in a movie Just like a movie Just like Elvis and Paspercelain and the both of us drinking pineapple rum and of a coconut by the ocean
Starting point is 00:52:06 Happy as a ukulele yeah that rain, but we were under sometimes I wonder why we ever left to why Ever left a while Yeah You never know how slow the fate is sometimes I didn't know that was going to happen Yeah like an essence of the song is sometimes listening to the out you know Old Dominion's here, new record, time, tequila, and therapy. It's about to get a lot worse, though. Not because of you guys, but because of the talent that's about to hop on stage with you.
Starting point is 00:52:56 Oh, yes. So, Amy, hey, can I have the dice, Mike? I do, I want to roll the dice. Amy, Morgan, and Raimundo will all be performing. The smash hit from Old Dominion Hotel Key. Yes. Amy, pick a number. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:53:10 25. Morgan? Seven. Ray? 26. Wait, 25, 26. Here we go. The number is...
Starting point is 00:53:18 Look at that thing. 37. So, Ray, you get to pick the order. I think is awesome. I'm going third last, baby. Who do you want to go first? Definitely Amy, then M2, and then me. Amy, Morgan, than you.
Starting point is 00:53:30 This is a 100-sided dice. Wow. That's awesome. Ever seen that? Impossible to get it to stop rolling because it's basically a ball? Yeah. But this is how we settle all our disputes on this show.
Starting point is 00:53:39 Old Dominion is here. We're going to come back in a second. Up first will be Amy. Yeah, why am I definitely first? Well, why did you pick her first, Ray? I believe she's going to be the best, and then hopefully M2's just terrible, and then I end up being decent. And then they'll remember him. Forget about how good she is.
Starting point is 00:53:56 Yeah. Got it. Strategy. They have a new album that's out today called Time, Tequila, and Therapy. It's 13 tracks. I hope you check it out. They perform two of the new songs today. It is, it is, uh, chef's kiss good.
Starting point is 00:54:09 I always say that. Couldn't say it any better than that, could I, Amy? No, it's really good. I try sometimes. That good, yeah. What we're going to do now, though, is we're going to do a little carry-e karaoke competition with members of the show with Old Dominion serving as the band. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:20 Now, Ramundo won. He chose Amy to go first, Morgan to go second, and him to go third. You guys will also be the judges. And judge on ability to keep up with a song, vocal ability, passion. Like, it's just all encompassing. It's like an overall vibe. Are we doing like Olympic scoring, like one to ten for each contestant? I think at the end you just do a little huddle and pick a winner. Are lyrics allowed or not? Yeah, of course. Do we have the lyrics?
Starting point is 00:54:47 Oh, you're going to read the lyrics? Well, I don't know. I was asking, are they allowed? Everyone has a sheet. Yeah, take the lyrics. All right. Okay, up first, Amy. Here she goes. She's walking up to the stage.
Starting point is 00:55:02 Now, Amy has taken the microphone. Naomi, how are you feeling right now? Is it on? It's on, yeah. You sound great by that. Feel good. When this song first came out, don't want to brag. Because I know that these guys knew it was a hit.
Starting point is 00:55:15 Don't want to brag, but brag, go ahead. But I feel like I was one of the first people on it. Now, I feel like you were, too. It's true. I remember your passion. Thank you. Thank you. You're welcome.
Starting point is 00:55:24 I think we sent a fruit basket. Amy, would you like? No, did. Yes, they sent me a fruit basket because I was so into this song. She doesn't want to brag, no head. No bragging. So the pressure's on. Would you like to hear how it's going to start, Amy?
Starting point is 00:55:36 Yeah, because I just want to do, yeah, we need to like, it'll be good for even Ray and Morgan number two to hear when to go in. So how will this start for her? It's going to go full intro. We'll let you know. I'll see if I feel it. But this isn't the real one. This isn't the real one. This is just everybody hearing it.
Starting point is 00:55:50 Okay. Okay, that's it. You got it. There you go. We'll do a verse and chorus. Now we need more from you though because if that's it. This is how, no. I watched Matt do a warm up and that he does like side.
Starting point is 00:56:14 He doesn't have him full on the mic. Amy, do you need a key from Matt though because you were not on? Well, guys, I can't sing. That sounded great. So, plus I can't hear myself, so I don't know. You can hear yourself come out of your mouth, though. I'm good. Okay, so give me a good.
Starting point is 00:56:33 Like dough, do, re-do. Give me the... The key, love is real with the... It's going to be bad, though. I've lost it, too. Okay, well, I'm just going to go for it. Okay, here she is, Amy. Performing Hotel Key with Old Dominion as the backing band.
Starting point is 00:56:50 Give it up for Amy! Okay, here we go. Street we couldn't even pronounce We were smoking a little of a half an ounce Tequila which deep up the flowie from feeling was real Neither one of us was looking for three little words Unless those three words would you not disturb Checkout was feeling
Starting point is 00:57:18 Did that? Oh no Come on She has Amy everybody How do you feel you did Amy? No I missed check out on checkout Was supposed to be noon but we slept until three.
Starting point is 00:57:50 That one is very, that's a tricky line. How's it typed? Is it S-apostopsy-P for Spost? It is. Okay. I was trying to build an excuse. But we slept until three. And it's also, it's.
Starting point is 00:58:03 She gave the mic up. Great job. Hey, is there? Can I see the lyrics to that? Rockway Gamey? Yeah, the beginning? I've never listened to the lyrics. Is there a radio version and a?
Starting point is 00:58:11 Yes, there is. Because I've never heard. Of the half and out? Well, it was down some street. We couldn't even pronounce. We were smoking a little from a half an ounce. I was like, so that's not the version that I've heard on the radio. What did they say on the radio?
Starting point is 00:58:26 We were stuck in the middle. Like, I was so, like, mad that we had to change that. But, you know, it's hard to, like, change the lyric, especially one that's like that. But Trevor had the genius idea of basically saying, basically nonsense that just sounded like the same thing. Yeah, phonetically sounding. What do you say? We were stuck in the middle, loving every ounce. Stuck in the middle, loving every ounce.
Starting point is 00:58:47 means nothing. But that's kind of every ounce of love. Like, like living every ounce of. Like living every minute of it. Okay. Well, I said it,
Starting point is 00:58:56 I looked at everyone and then everybody on the band looked at each other like, how about that? Oh, she said it. That's what I... She gets to sing the real version.
Starting point is 00:59:06 But that's what I listen to is that, the deep cut. You get points. Because you're the real deal. Or whatever. Morgan, are you ready? No, not at all. Not at all.
Starting point is 00:59:14 No, nervous. Okay. Morgan, our head of the deal. Your headphones are looking pretty prona. Thank you. You were very nervous. I know.
Starting point is 00:59:22 I'm like, who knew? I'm on a microphone every single day, and then you get with all dominion and all of a sudden you start shaking. I know my hands are shaking. Are you nervous, Morgan? Is how you guys feel all the time? Yes. Like my whole body is.
Starting point is 00:59:35 Yes. It's like I was vibrating. We normally have a shout of tequila before we do this. Yeah, I need one of those. I need, yeah, time tequila and therapy. Do you need, Morgan, the intro, or do you feel like you have it? I mean, we already did it with Amy, so I feel like I can't have that, so we're just going to go for it. And she went headphones. I did it, and now I'm starting to regret it.
Starting point is 00:59:55 Okay, here we go. Here's Old Dominion with Morgan number two. We couldn't even pronounce. We were smoking a little from half an ounce. Tequila was cheap, but the flow we were feeling was real. Neither one of us were looking for three little words, unless those three words were do not disturb. Checkout was supposed to be new, but we slept until three. She kept the hotel key. Slifted in her purse, I guess. It makes her...
Starting point is 01:00:40 And the clothes all over the floor. We both know. Okay. You hit the part she missed and you missed the gaurus. I didn't feel it. To be fair, though, Tracks there. Hearts on the sleeves and clothes all over the floor,
Starting point is 01:01:02 that's a hard thing. Do y'all feel that way? Hot son a seat of the clothes all over the floor. We both know. I was like, I can do it. I think that's what you can't see it. But I mean, when you first started, was that, okay, well. And next up.
Starting point is 01:01:17 That's a hard part. Our final competitor is Ramundo. Hey, Susan. Here he comes. Hey, this can be really easy. I didn't know those women. We're going to do that bad. Hey.
Starting point is 01:01:33 Are you calling your shot right now? I mean, they're messing up lyrics. They were off beat. I mean, I can at least pull. at all. Okay. Here is. Last words. Ray Moondo performing Hotel Key with Old Dominion. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Well, they went down some street. We couldn't pronounce. We were spoken a little from a half an ounce. Tequila was cheap, but the flow we were feeling was real. Neither one of us were looking for those three little words. Unless those three words was do not deserve. Chuck out was supposed to be noon, but we slept until three.
Starting point is 01:02:16 But she kept the hotel key. Slipped it in her purse, I guess It makes her think of me And that night we left Our heart on the sleeves And the clothes all over the phone You both know we can't open And she gets the hotel
Starting point is 01:02:32 Can I get it! Okay How do you feel you did? I thought that ain't good That beat stuff is tough Yeah Prombs Do you feel like you won?
Starting point is 01:02:45 I think I won Maybe Amy goes one But Morgan really jacked it up So I definitely got second Okay, okay, thank you. Raymoor like a cake song made. I don't know how you somehow started so, like, behind. You wrapped it up in the right place.
Starting point is 01:02:59 He started behind, got ahead of it, and then ended up in the right spot. He somehow landed it every time. Oh, this is going to be terrible. There he is. Old Dominion is in studio. They're playing live. Now, you guys, talk amongst yourself. I mean, you know.
Starting point is 01:03:16 I know who I would pick. Let us know when you come. Come over with your answer. She's got a tuning. Trevor. There's history, you know. Yeah. Enthusiasm.
Starting point is 01:03:27 Enthusiasm. Enthusiasm. Everyone, go ahead. enthusiasm. Oh, they're okay. I mean, I mess up the lyrics all the time. I forget the lyrics all the time. Trevor, we're bonded for life.
Starting point is 01:03:40 Oh, Amy's now pushing on the judges. Eight hours at Disney together. Wow. That's almost disqualification. I don't think we got it. Who is in third place? Third place, I'm sorry, I think it's, I think we probably all agree. It's Morgan.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Morgan and third place. I deserve that. I take that. I take it. Look, nerves will get you. Oh, yeah, I was shaking. My whole body was shaking. You had a nice little, like, kind of rap thing going on, though that was nice.
Starting point is 01:04:09 But really, the wheels came off. I lost it off. It was, it came off so much that we didn't know when to end the song. Hey, you made a news song. It's fine. We're going to skip second. It's all about first. Oh.
Starting point is 01:04:24 Was first place, Ramundo, who someone said sounded like cake. I need your arms around me. I need to feel your touch. Or Amy. Both were excellent additions as excellent as you could be. But I think we have to go with the history and the passion that Amy had. Amy, congratulations.
Starting point is 01:04:45 Wow. Wow. I forget the words all of it. time, so it's okay that happens. Amy, what would you like to say? I would love to sing with y'all again if you'd have me. Let's go. Like live?
Starting point is 01:05:00 Like right now? You want to run another show? She's like, I see you're playing Cleveland on the 23rd. Is there any chance? Yeah, no. It's in my hometown. It was so fun. Y'all are the best.
Starting point is 01:05:10 Thank you. The new record's out today. Time tequila and therapy. You guys stream it, but not until the show is over today. Be sure to listen to us and then go to Old Dominion. Yeah, of course. Of course. Congratulations, guys.
Starting point is 01:05:21 You know, big fan. Appreciate you doing this today. And you guys, they only make great songs. I'm not even going to say all hits because they don't all get to be hits because they're not all singles. But I'm going to say they're all great songs because I only care about records, like full albums from a couple of people. And you guys are definitely one of those entities that I enjoy. Yes, I think we had to do a segment on the show not too long ago where we had to pick an album that we love from start to finish. And I chose y'all's.
Starting point is 01:05:45 He doesn't want to brag. We gave your first place. I can stop. No, I just remembered that, though, because, I mean, yeah, anyway. Thank you. Fun fact. Yeah, we take that as probably one of the biggest compliments we can get because we pride ourselves in the songwriting and trying to have albums that there are no
Starting point is 01:06:03 skippable songs. So thank you for that compliment. Yeah. Do you all, I have a question, too. Yeah. Do you all like your, because I love it, but I feel like I made a comment about shoe shopping once, and I felt like, oh, my, like that song you don't like. Do you like that?
Starting point is 01:06:15 No. We do like it. You probably, I mean, maybe it was, it was probably we weren't set up to, like, play it or something. Oh, okay. Well, I don't know. I just, I'm sure, because, you know, every artist, at some point you just, like,
Starting point is 01:06:26 move past a song, but that's the one that I listen to and those lyrics are hard, but I feel like, they are so hard, but I feel like I have that one. If you miss one, you're off. Oh, yeah. Oh, you feel like you have them? Your shoes shop and walking down the street. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:06:41 Help me. Just lead me a little bit. Okay, if you remember. What are you doing? You doing the chorus? Pat and love is in the street. Where your shoe shop and walking down the street. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:50 With the patten that is in the feet. Now I thought I had it, but it's so good. Never right. Downtown on the roundabout. Took the boy of the house about. It's got a heel top top, pop them up, flip flop. Head up. Over on the sidewalk.
Starting point is 01:07:09 Paddle in the blue slate, tailor made, whatever you like. Yeah. If your shoe shopping, try me on for size. That sounds like when I try to wrap. And I only know like every third word. Well, it's been a minute, but I used to know every word. And that's when I got fixated on. I don't even know that I like, I just, I was determined to get every shoe you named.
Starting point is 01:07:33 Yeah, yeah. I was too. Wait, hold on. There's a new song. What on her? I'm not drinking my feelings. That'll be your new test. Oh, yeah, it's the same time.
Starting point is 01:07:41 And then you drink everything. We'll do it, we'll do a bit. And she drinks everything from that song during the show. Oh, okay. Yeah, come back. All right. All dominion, they got to go. But we appreciate you guys. Congratulations.

It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. You know, I do a considerable amount of work with service dogs and talk about how valuable
Starting point is 01:11:33 they are for veterans. And this is the case here, but it's a really cool story because this dog was also in the shelter. So Sobe, a boxer mix, has been named the 2021 service hero dog of the year. It's a whole thing where they have an award every year. but this dog was two days away from being euthanized at the shelter. Someone adopted Sobe, which is a girl. Sobe was like beat, tons of neglect, trained her, got her to Jason Howe, a Navy combat veteran who suffered from PTSD and addiction.
Starting point is 01:12:01 And she's trained to help Jason when he suffers for panic attacks, to watch over him when they're in public. And now, again, she's up for overall dog of the year as well. She's already one service hero dog of the year. Now for overall dog of the year. I mean, two days away from being euthan. and someone not only saves the dog, but then ultimately saves a veteran's life too.
Starting point is 01:12:22 Which, by the way, you can see Soby and other award-winning dogs when the 11th annual American Humane Hero Dog Awards is broadcast 8 p.m. on Hallmark Drama. Oh, that's cool. I don't know if that was the thing. Dog awards, yeah. I wonder if that dog knows how cool she is and, like, how awesome she is.
Starting point is 01:12:37 Probably not. Probably not, because I don't think Ray knows how awesome he is. What you're comparing him to a dog? He's kind of like a dog? No. I'm just saying, I think we all, like, Ray's really, you know, I don't think Ray has any idea how awesome we think he is. You know, you get to be a dog. You're awesome, Ray.
Starting point is 01:12:52 Some people just have no idea the meaning, the worth, the value they have. So, Sobe and Ray. Shout out to you both these guys. Okay, Ray. Ray, ooh. No, you're not a dog. All right, there you go. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 01:13:05 That was Tell Me Something Good. A quick recap for everybody. The Miss Yesterday show, Abby, our phone screener, said, this guy randomly text me, and he's a firefighter. And he was like, well, I didn't mean to send that to you. I didn't mean to send that to my fire chief. Good looking guy. They're all talking. Sweet nothings back and forth to each other.
Starting point is 01:13:25 And so yesterday we kind of developed our theories. Is it a scam? Was it a real accident? Or was it someone who found Abby's number and then act like it was an accident? Hey, Mike, what did you find out since yesterday's show? I find that you can find Abby's phone number online. Oh. So if you knew Abby, you knew about her, you could see.
Starting point is 01:13:45 search it out and he may have found it that way and text it her and knows her. Oh. Now is that creepy to you? I mean a little. Yeah. And then if you're lying about how you found it by saying it was an accident. Is he so hot that doesn't matter? Ooh, good question. Is he so hot and funny and friendly that it outweighs? You put him on the scale. Yes. That's a little heavy. Ooh. Because crazy's okay sometimes. They're really hot.
Starting point is 01:14:09 No, I don't know about that. So are you saying you don't want to pursue this at all? Because we don't even know if that's true. I know we don't know if that's true. I mean, I would like to know, honestly, yeah, I would like to ask him. Maybe. Okay, so let's say we get him on. We end up talking to him and he admits, like, yes, that's what I did. I'm sorry, I just was desperate to talk to you.
Starting point is 01:14:27 And I thought this would be a good way. I know it wasn't right, but will you forgive me? I like that if he goes right to it. That would be okay. That's less crazy. I mean, that is. Yeah, if he's honest. Okay.
Starting point is 01:14:37 Here's what I say we do. Would you rather cold call FaceTime? Him. or go in on the phone, call him, and we patch him through and talk to him there if he agrees to it. So you're saying agree. I would give him a heads up. Well, if you FaceTime him, it won't be on the year.
Starting point is 01:14:56 It'll be you stand in the middle of the room here away from a microphone and we'll watch you do it. Maybe he answers maybe. Oh, I would love that. Oh, my gosh. Listen, we can. Okay. If she does it but he's not on the mic,
Starting point is 01:15:10 then legally we can give the commentary of what's happening. Yeah. Right? When did you become Perry Mason? At your legal talk. Well, because I know that we can't just throw him on the air. No problem. True.
Starting point is 01:15:21 But like, we can be like, Abby's in the middle of the floor right now. We'll be able to hear her. He said hello. Do you want to try to FaceTime him? Sure. Is this a bad idea? I need help. What's Abby's excuse?
Starting point is 01:15:35 Like, what does she tell him? Yeah, what am I? Hey. She's going to be like, hey, Morgan's saying no. No, because if my theory is correct, then you're just, doing to him what he did to you and like you're just why how so because he's lying like if he wanted to do the bit about the fireman cool like that's a easy way to pick a girl up and get her to talk i should have been a fireman but then he should have been like hey like funny joke i know who you are
Starting point is 01:16:01 i heard about you know whatever and then like cool it wouldn't have been weird now that they've gone days for talking and she needs to get to the like real part of this situation all she's doing is FaceTiming him. Just to see if it's real. Yeah. That's it. There's nothing wrong with trying to figure out of it's real. Right. So I'm saying she should do it. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Oh, okay. Okay. I thought Morgan was shutting us down.
Starting point is 01:16:22 Okay, me too. And I was like, no, no, no, no, we're doing it. Which I respected. But, but, no, no, no, no, we want to do it. Abby, are you willing to pay the ultimate price of hitting FaceTime here on the air? If it's not mean to him. Right. Because I'm just trying to figure out. He will not be exposed. Yeah. But Abby, if he's tricking you, don't. Okay. She's like, I don't hurt his feelings. And I'm like, well, he's a scammer. He's a lot.
Starting point is 01:16:44 He really means a lot to me. He's somewhere in South Africa with buddies. Okay. Are you ready? Yeah. You have to get away from the microphone. I'm just going to do it right now. Yeah, go sit over in the corner.
Starting point is 01:16:55 We have to get her away from a microphone. Can she sit in the corner over there? Or over here? That corner and turn that mic off. Yeah. Ray, can we turn the stage mic off? Yep. Go far, far in that corner.
Starting point is 01:17:05 Okay, so hold. Don't hit start yet, Abby. I want to reset this real quick for all of our listeners. He may not answer. He probably won't answer. Okay, squat down. I wouldn't even move over here. Move over here by the wall.
Starting point is 01:17:16 Okay, so this is what's going to happen. Abby, our phone screener, who has come to this show and said, hey, I'm having trouble dating. She gets on apps. She meets guys, they go on one date. And she brought to us her frustration that if they go on a second date or have it set up, they cancel before the second day even starts. And she's like, what am I doing wrong?
Starting point is 01:17:34 So we talked about this and guys went, and they started looking at Abby's social media and started messaging her like crazy. Then she had so many offers, she didn't know what to do. But the offers were A little extreme. Extreme. These guys are being really dramatic. Like, I'll date you.
Starting point is 01:17:48 I'd give anything like my left toe. I'll name me after you. My left foot. Yeah. But now Abby gets a random text from a firefighter that goes, oops, I didn't mean to send this to you. This was an accent. I was sending it to my fire chief for our website.
Starting point is 01:18:02 Now we're trying to figure out if he's real. Abby has his number. She's been texting back and forth with them. Are you nervous? All right. If he answers. though, what does she do? Hey.
Starting point is 01:18:13 I think you should do this. You say hi. Hey, they're like, hey, how's it going? It's me. It's out. She'll know who it is because it's probably saved
Starting point is 01:18:19 in your phone. They're like, hey, how's it going? Just say, hey, listen, I was really nervous. My friends were telling me that you may not be a real person. And I was really nervous
Starting point is 01:18:27 that you weren't. And so I hit this button to make sure I wasn't getting scammed. Good stuff. That's what I would say. That's good. That's what I would say. I'm asking if she can say that.
Starting point is 01:18:35 Yeah. Okay, okay. And say, well, I guess you're a real person. Then it's going to get awkward for a second. Be like, I'll let you get back to work. Is everything good? You can do one of those.
Starting point is 01:18:45 They're like, yeah, say, okay, well, hopefully I talk to you later. Bye. Okay. Here we go. Let's go. We're going to counterdown like New Year's for it to hit that FaceTime button. Does she need to wear a mask?
Starting point is 01:18:56 Oh, sorry, recognizes it. Okay, let's through the countdown. Here we go. 41. Wait, what? Forty one. I was like 10. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:19:06 Five, four. Three, two, one. Here we go. Here she goes. Hold it. Hold it up. I hear it ringing. Well, closer to your eyes, because that's all he knows.
Starting point is 01:19:18 Hey. Hey. You're real. Oh my gosh. Oh, my God. I can't. It's awkward. Is he at work?
Starting point is 01:19:33 No. Oh, she can hear you. I'm done. I'm dying. I'm dying. Wait, what is happening? Abby, ask him questions. Ask him questions.
Starting point is 01:19:50 He hung up. He hung up. Is he putting out of fire? Okay. Wow. That was intense. Wow. My eyes are watering.
Starting point is 01:19:56 I can't. I couldn't believe he answered. At first I was like, oh my gosh. Wait, was he cute though? He had a mask on. Now he had a mask on. Yeah, he had a mask on. He must be at work.
Starting point is 01:20:06 He's in public. Okay. So. Oh my gosh. A lot of things just happened to me internally. Oh, my God. All at once. I know.
Starting point is 01:20:14 When I heard, that sounds. Now when it connects, I couldn't believe it. Yeah. Okay. So, what do we do next? I should have asked him how I got my number. He said. I mean, he already told me.
Starting point is 01:20:25 He already told you, but you need to say, I think straight up, should she just be like, hey, real talk, like. Wait, I don't know what happened. I don't know what she said. I don't know what she said. I couldn't believe it. And why did he hang up? Let's start from the beginning.
Starting point is 01:20:36 Oh, I was the one that was like, okay, I'll let you get back to work because he was so confused. He was like, hi. Yeah, I'm real. Oh, my God. But he shouldn't act like it's weird that you're wondering if he's real or not. When random morning she decides to FaceTime without a text or heads up, like, hey, can you FaceTime or Hey? Well, weird's on weird.
Starting point is 01:20:55 It's a weird on weird crime. No, I think that his reaction was totally, oh my gosh, what if this is complete fate and they get married? I mean, we don't even know what happened. We don't even know what happened on that call. I'd like to know what just happened to myself. Well, we learned he's real. Basically, I mean, he answered and there was his face. And did it look like my face? Same eyes? Same eyes?
Starting point is 01:21:16 Yeah. Blonde hair? Uh-huh. Was he in front of a fire truck? No. Oh, okay. Did he have a fire suit? Uh-uh, no.
Starting point is 01:21:22 Oh. He is a volunteer, so. What's his other job? Do you know his real job? I do. Okay, don't say it. What is it? I'm not gonna, I don't want to say.
Starting point is 01:21:27 Is he a lumberjack? He sent me, like, that'd be cool. That'd be cool. That'd be cool. That'd be cool. That'd be cool. I mean, this is like, this is, you know a lot about him. I do.
Starting point is 01:21:34 And that's why I was like, do I continue this? the point? This is what I think we should do. What? I think we need a second to gather our thoughts. I think we need to take a break. I think we need to have Abby send him a text right now during the break. So everything does it just... Fizzle.
Starting point is 01:21:58 Not even fizzle, just he's got to be like, freak him out. WTF just happened to him. Right. So let's gather. We're going to come back in a second. We have three and a half minutes or so. We will get an update. We'll construct a text to send him. Maybe we'll get him back on. Yeah, call him back, right?
Starting point is 01:22:13 Poor guy, like, he thinks he's just talking to Abby. Little does he know he's got Abby. If he got her number, he knows what's going on right now. I agree. Huh? She's got a whole team of people consulting her on how to handle this. We talked about it on the show yesterday. He may not know anything about the show.
Starting point is 01:22:29 Trust me. I think he does. No, I do. Abby, good job. Thank you. We're going to take a break and come back. All right. Okay, fine. Bobby, you should FaceTime and be like, do you know who I am?
Starting point is 01:22:39 He's like, no. I'm Abby's dad. I'm cleaning my gun. As we connected, I'm, all right, you see this sun? Okay, we're going to come back. Okay, we're going to come back in a second with Abby. Okay, here we are. Abby had a random firefighter text her.
Starting point is 01:22:55 She's been having a conversation with them for days. She brings the picture to us, and I'm like, well, that's a scam. And then Morgan's like, no, I think he actually figured out who you were and is being dishonest with you about how he found you. Yes. Which, because he told you it was just a random text. Right. Like, he didn't mean to text you.
Starting point is 01:23:12 He was supposed to be texting. the chief of his fire department. Yep. I would like for my theory to be out there too. I'm the only one that believes this could be an actual accident and it ends up true love. That could be. It's just my number. Yes, Morgan.
Starting point is 01:23:25 But if it's an accident, if he's been a volunteer firefighter forever, wouldn't he have his fire chief's phone number in his phone? Maybe he's, look, maybe he's new because the picture to the website. Why not just hit his contact? Yeah. Oh, I have another thing for that too. Go ahead. He said he just updated his phone.
Starting point is 01:23:41 There we go. Got the new iPhone. But when I got the new iPhone, I didn't, listen, sometimes people go hang out a new phone, lost my contacts. That means we never saved your number to begin with. Yeah. I know. They make it easy. So you did call him on FaceTime in the last segment.
Starting point is 01:23:54 He answered. He's a real person. Oh, geez. Yeah, he is. That was a lot. He was walking. So we got to, here's the text you send him. Ready?
Starting point is 01:24:01 Okay. I didn't respond to me alone. Wait, so he hasn't sent you FaceTime. He hasn't sent a text. Like, hello, what was that? Nope. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 01:24:08 Okay. Okay. Okay. Say, hey, sorry about that FaceTime. I'm with all of the people on my radio show Oh okay Oh yeah because he knows I'm a radio Yeah
Starting point is 01:24:20 And they were telling me that you were a scam I'm like shaking typing this Send Here we go sent Okay Did it go? Did it go? Yep Okay, oh red he already read it Oh wow
Starting point is 01:24:38 He's on his phone right now Oh, Andy has his red receipts on. I mean, that means he's not a scam artist. They would never have red receipts on there. The only person I know that has that is Mike D. That's true. Okay, is there a bubble yet? Oh, gosh, no.
Starting point is 01:24:55 Yeah, three dots, three dots. He's thinking. He's reading, he's thinking. So let's see what he says back. Let us know if the bubble comes up. No bubble. If I'm him right now, I'm understanding. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:25:10 Because if he has scammed, if he, scams not the word. If he went and got your number from the internet, then that's not so honest. But it's just honest enough to where if he's a good guy, it ends up being a cute story later in life. Right. Do we agree, Morgan, that she could still date him? Yeah, it depends how quick he comes clean, if that's the case.
Starting point is 01:25:31 If he still, like, rolls with his random text for a while, then no. If he's like, hey, by the way, this is how I know. Let me throw a scenario, because he said that what he, he had fast. fingers and need me to send it to you? What if you meet him and you see his hands and they are really fat? Like he has like one hand that's so fat that you can't actually text? What you would also need is to get the chief's phone number and see if it looks anything like Abby's. I do want to do that.
Starting point is 01:25:54 I really want to do that now. Be like, what is the chief's number? Because if it's not even close, then what? Yeah. Okay. Is he nothing yet? Yeah, no, he actually, he just did. He said, okay.
Starting point is 01:26:03 Okay, okay, okay, okay. Here we go, we go, we go. He said, no worries. I was just walking around my work. Definitely caught me off guard, smiley face, almost as random as my text. There we go. But that didn't like explain anything. But we didn't ask, we didn't ask to explain right there.
Starting point is 01:26:20 Let's be honest. We never said please explain to us more. We just said thanks for answering. Yes. This is a we thing now. No, we're all invested in this. Right. You want to just take my phone home.
Starting point is 01:26:31 I can probably type faster than you right now. We have two options here, right? I don't want to kill this relationship. No. Parentheses bit. This relationship. Shut up. It's a good one. Yeah, I don't...
Starting point is 01:26:41 So, I don't think we force anything right now. I think what we do... What was this last thing he said to you? No worries. I was just walking around work. I definitely caught me off guard. Almost as random as my text. Smiley face. Yeah, random is my text.
Starting point is 01:26:55 Your text was so random. Say, hey, cool, have a great day at work. I'll, you know, text me later. Will you guys say text me later? Would you say that? Yeah. Okay. Say, cool.
Starting point is 01:27:07 Don't be true. They like to talk about. or text me what you're going to eat. What are you having for lunch? Just say, okay, cool. Be like this, cool. I knew you were telling the truth about it being a rule. Wow, wow.
Starting point is 01:27:20 I knew you were telling the truth about it being a random text. I told them they didn't believe me. Wow. Let's put the pressure on them. You're putting them the chance to tell the truth right here. Yeah, yeah. Mike, you feel good about this? Morgan?
Starting point is 01:27:34 Yeah. I'm not going to Amy and Eddie at all. You guys have married 100 years. Why? What is being married? you'd have anything to do with... You haven't ever had to live in this world. Of texting?
Starting point is 01:27:43 In social media and internet. No, you've been married... You got married in 1932. Back the long time ago. Okay. It's rough out here, yeah. Okay. What's I saying again?
Starting point is 01:27:55 What'd you write? I knew you were telling the truth and that you're real. What'd you say? I would say... I know. No, it's about the... It's about his random... I would say...
Starting point is 01:28:05 What are the... They told me that you... Oh, yeah. They told me that you... that you weren't real. I told them that you were real and it was an accidental text that you sent me.
Starting point is 01:28:15 Right? Sorry. Oh, that's right. Right? That's strong. That's strong. I may have jumped on you a little too early
Starting point is 01:28:22 because that's good. Oh, thank you. Thank you. Married woman. You want to type this? Yeah, give it to me. Give it to me. I just take the phone
Starting point is 01:28:29 and take a picture of my window. Oh, dude. No. Then now you've ruined it. Hey, don't sound like a dude when you're typing that. I trust you. I trust you.
Starting point is 01:28:38 you, Bobby. All right, all right, I'll see. Okay. All right. Let's talk later, period. I knew you were being honest about it being a random text. Did you ever... Wait. Hold on. He's going rogue. Bones. Back up, back up. Fire chief. Oh, that's good. Yeah, yeah, yeah, thank you. Did you ever tell your fire chief about it? Do you say L.O.L. Do you say L.L. Yeah, I do say LOL.
Starting point is 01:29:11 About it. All the kids say LOL. Or ha ha. Have a good day at work. Okay, here's what I'm writing. Let's talk later. I knew you were being honest about it being a random text. Did you ever tell your fire chief about it?
Starting point is 01:29:26 L.O.S. Have a good day at work. We go to that? Yeah. Yeah. Do it. Here you go. Is it red yet?
Starting point is 01:29:34 If it's red immediately, oh man. Well, I sent it. It has now been delirical. been delivered, not red yet. So he's probably now in the midst of living his life. Okay? Here you go. Here you go. Final thoughts. Morgan. I still stick with my theory. I think that's the case. We just got to figure out if it was a random text or if he knows who you are. And if he knows who she is, he needs to come clean. Yes. Like immediately. Before the weekend's over? I think so, yeah. Should she press him a little bit? Yeah. Can I ask for if what is Chief's number?
Starting point is 01:30:07 No, not yet. Not yet. No, no, no, no, no. Okay. But I would definitely be like, okay, did you really just, like, we're hitting it off too much. Did you really just randomly send me this? Because if so, there needs to be a movie made about it. Like, it needs to be something with a little joke in it, you know?
Starting point is 01:30:21 Yeah, this is like serendipity. Yeah. More, Eddie. I mean, I'm still with it. He knows her from the show. He got the number, blah, blah, blah. But I think right now, the current update is he's thinking, this is my chance to tell the truth. Do I do it or do I not do it?
Starting point is 01:30:37 where he is right now. Amy? No, he doesn't know Abby from the show and it's totally... You're hanging on to that. That's a Disney movie. Of course. I'm writing this script right now. He accidentally sent the text and they're hitting it off. He could be talking to a married woman right now. There's no way that that could be happening. That's the thing. That's what I'm saying and she didn't even send a whole face. All right. Abby, good luck. Has you read it yet?
Starting point is 01:30:57 Yeah, read, but... Okay. Well, check back on Monday. Okay. There's Abby, our phone screener. Bobby Bone Show. Boney up the day. filling in for lunchbox, Eddie. There's a guy in Texas, and he's driving on the highway, and he's late for works.
Starting point is 01:31:12 He's like, man, I've got to take the carpool lane, but I'm only one person. So what did he do? He got a skeleton. He got it from the Halloween shop, put a hat on him, and he's going down the carpool lane. Then the cops are like, all right, buddy, we see the skeleton. I would just think that when people do this, most of them get by. Yeah, why wouldn't they? Get away with it.
Starting point is 01:31:31 I ride the carpool lane, just me sometimes. Oh, just you with it, not even a fake person. Yeah, I just press my luck. I'm like, I need to get in this lane real quick for a little bit. Hopefully nobody notices. It's just me. I do the same. And what I do is I put the passenger seat down. Maybe they think whoever's with me is taking a nap.
Starting point is 01:31:47 Nice. You've done that too, Amy? Well, you guys are next level cheaters, huh? That's funny that you guys would both do that. Well, yeah. We're always running late, too. Do you think that this guy would have been better putting no one in the carpool lane? I like his effort, though, doing a little skeleton. Me too, and I would think 99% of people that do that.
Starting point is 01:32:04 that or what you guys do get by. You get away with it? Do you ever see like a fake cop sitting on the side of the road where there's no one in the car? Yes. They get me all the time. I don't see a lot of those. There's an old town though down below where I live where there's always a really old cop car sitting there. And we drive a tail like, but it's there every time.
Starting point is 01:32:20 Right. And it's not even a current cop car. It's like in the 30s. And I still puckered. Oh, yeah, it's like a decoy. But the skeleton's funny. Yeah, pretty funny. I like it.
Starting point is 01:32:28 All right. Anyway, that's your bonehead story of the day. Let's look back to 2013, which by the way is the year. that we all moved to Nashville. Oh, wow. To be in this crazy business. That feels like 80 years ago. Eddie and I were talking about how many lifetimes ago it feels like.
Starting point is 01:32:44 Different little parts of our career in Nashville. I know. 2013 we moved here. Let's flashback. Flashback Friday. The biggest song was from Florida Georgia Line Cruise. That was a jam. It kind of changed music for eight years.
Starting point is 01:33:12 Do you remember going to that show? I mean, it must have been the month we got here. And Florida, Georgia Line comes out and sings this song and Taylor Swift joins him. What show? It has new faces. I mean, we had just gotten here. No, it's CRS. It was our first ever. And I was like, what? Taylor Swift's there?
Starting point is 01:33:27 Just out of nowhere here in Nashville? This place is crazy. It wasn't out of nowhere. It was perfectly planned. Well, yeah. Same label. We've never seen that. But I know, but did I go to that? You must have been there. Yeah, you were there. We were all there. Maybe I blocked it, guys.
Starting point is 01:33:41 Maybe. There's a lot going on. Maybe I just, one of those memories. I just repressed on purpose. Next up, the biggest pop song is Blurred Lines. Robin Thick and T.I. and Farrell. And they lost a bunch of money because they didn't really ride it. They stole the music from Marvin Gaye. Yes. Right?
Starting point is 01:34:01 Yes. Then $7 million. Then he, like, got a divorce right after that. And then our old producer, we did a parody video of an old producer now is trying to get a job. And she was like, would please take our version of the video off? Yeah, because he had topless girls in that video. We tried to mimic it, but we reversed the roles. and yeah, it was a little scandalous.
Starting point is 01:34:18 No, it wasn't. It was just Ray with no shirt on. And lunchbox. Yeah. The biggest thing of pop culture in 2013, the Breaking Bad series finale aired on AMC. Oh, wow. I thought it was a heck of a series finale too.
Starting point is 01:34:30 Yeah, it's really good. Hasn't been 10 years old, so it won't reveal it yet in case people are watching. Oh, spoiler alert? Yeah. But I thought when a show is really good, you almost can't win at the end. Because it's so big that even a minority portion is massive,
Starting point is 01:34:44 and they will complain and it will feel like the whole world hates it. It's tough. But I thought they did a great job ending that show. And I will say nothing else about that show or Squid Games. But anybody else any further? Yes, I've watched one episode. Yeah, one up, one up. But one up's not enough.
Starting point is 01:35:00 I know, but I've put my foot in. If you finish three episodes, then we can talk about it again a little bit. Because I don't feel like after episode one, you're even liking it a whole lot. After episode two, you're going, okay. But after three, you're like, let's go. I can't stop. You book a trip to Korea, South Korea. I mean, you're totally in.
Starting point is 01:35:20 You're listening to BTS. Like, it's the whole thing. Ray, you watch Squid Game? Yeah, I believe we're four deep. Okay, tell me something. It's awesome. Thank you. Wow.
Starting point is 01:35:29 That's my guy over there. I knew Ray had my back. Good job, Ray. We keep those kids out of the room. You think? Yeah. Well, too late. Y'all already gave me permission to watch it with my child, one of them.
Starting point is 01:35:40 Don't say child. She's like a young adult. She's a teenager. Yeah. Oh, don't age her. My child. Amy, like, yeah, Amy, watch it with your four-year-old. It would be wonderful.
Starting point is 01:35:49 That's not what happened. That's Flashback Friday, 2013. Flashback Friday. Hope everybody has a wonderful weekend. Thank you for listening. We are posting the Bobbycast, a one-hour interview that I did with Reba up now. So go search Bobbycast. You can find it.
