make a difference it does yeah it's it all adds up and it's amazing bobby bones.com get in on that
yeah flashback friday here we go flashback friday the year was 1999 this is the year that i think
You graduated high school, huh?
Yeah.
One year after I did.
Good times.
As a freshman in college, I was so cool.
All the girls loved me.
Oh, yeah, so cool.
It was an opposite day.
Opposite life.
I was so cool and all the girls loved me, my freshman year.
The biggest country song on this day in 1999 was, please remember me from Tim McGraw.
You know, I've never really listened to the words to that song.
Is he talking to his daughter or talking to an old flame?
Because if it's like his daughter, that's like that Zach Brown song that we played.
Yeah, I've never listened.
Love you the most?
Because he's singing that to his daughter's like,
he may be in your life that I love you the most.
But please remember me about his ex or about...
I don't know.
I hope you don't have to beg your kids to remember you.
All our tears have reached the sea.
Part of you will live in me.
Way down deep inside my heart.
The days keep coming that fell.
Never went in your cell.
This is where the journey starts.
I don't know.
No, it's got to be like the dot.
Right, Mike?
You'll find better.
Yeah.
Oh, maybe it's not.
Oh, it is.
Don't forget about me.
A daughter will find better love from her husband.
Yeah, but do you have to beg your daughter to remember you?
Sometimes, I'm sure.
I don't know about that.
Who can we ask?
Well, that's what Zach Brown went and he's on today and you'll hear from it.
Can you ask Tim?
My girl?
I don't know.
I did pull it up to text him that.
I was like, I'm not going to ask him that.
Hey, Tim, quick question.
Yeah, he's going to be like, what?
Hey, make a note.
I'll ask him next time he comes in.
I can't be the guy.
You've never just texting one artist and be like, hey, I'll just listen to the song.
What does this mean?
Yes.
You have done it.
Yes.
A couple times.
I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
I'll save it until the next time he's in
Okay
That'd be a good bit for the show
The biggest pop song on this day
In 1999 was Ricky Martin
Living Lovita Loca
And the biggest thing of pop culture
Is Disney's Tarzan hits theaters
Made 448 million
Oh wow
Bill Collins crushed it with this song
You'll be in my heart
Jam
19 weeks at number one
On the adult contemporary chart
The longest ever up to that point
It won the Oscar for Best Original song
And Forever
Come on everybody
Because you'll be in my heart.
You'll be in my heart.
I never even saw Tarzan.
Me neither.
How did I miss that?
It's such a big movie.
I watched the black and white show.
And he come swinging in.
On Nick at night, it was on back in the day.
Yeah, I remember that.
And Patty Duke.
They look alike, they talk alike.
Times they even walk alike.
What a wild pair.
But they're cousins.
Identical cousins and you'll find.
No?
No.
I remember it, but I don't remember that theme song.
New episode of Amy's podcast.
And today, a new Bobbycast goes up,
but I'll mention Amy's podcast first.
She had Bob Goff back on.
I got to be honest, I didn't know who Bob Goff was,
but people love Bob Goff.
Caitlin has a book she's reading by him right now.
He's the best.
Well, he has a new book coming out.
June 23rd, he came back on for that.
It's called Dream Big.
Like, he's just great.
Inspiring people to love people,
to do good, to chase your dreams,
like all that.
He's just an encourager.
Well, Bob talked about all things relationships,
a communication and aviation.
Amy's husband was on and said he was able to understand communication relationships better
when it was compared to airplanes and aviation.
Here you go.
We always say when you stop being a student of aviation,
you stop being a pilot.
That's very easy for me to do.
But when you say you stop being a student of emotions or relationships
or anything deeper that doesn't apply to aviation,
I have a hard time applying that.
But I think it goes really good into the sense of,
as soon as you think you know something,
then you've lost the ability to kind of
relate to other people or learn from other people.
That was just Amy's husband there, not Bob golf.
Yeah, well, Bob also flies airplanes,
so they got into this whole conversation,
and Bob, like, it was, Ben was like,
oh my gosh, finally someone that understands me.
It was cute.
He tells me the same thing, and then we're playing golf.
Finally.
Here is Bob, though, giving a tip
how to handle responses in relationships.
The most courageous thing for you to do
is this the words right now, but if you'll give me an hour, I'll try to find a couple.
Instead of trying to feel like it's the speech competition, you need to stand up and deliver at a time.
You've just been emotionally gutted.
But let me find better words.
And if you just give me, let me walk around the block.
And I'll come back with some better words and let's have the conversation.
Well, check it out, Amy's Four Things podcast.
I'll say this.
Your husband went from not wanting to even look at a microphone to pouring it out there.
Well, he wasn't even, I was recorded with Bob at home.
and Bob asked me a question about relationships or something or how I am as a person,
even in friendships.
And I started to answer.
And my husband was just in the room working on his computer.
And I looked over at him and I was like, well, what do you think?
And then he came over and sat down and ended up doing the whole interview with us,
which made it so much better.
So I'm glad he did, but it was not planned.
Well, even planned or not.
Yeah.
I know.
He sounds comfortable, too.
I think, well, him and Bob were having a moment.
Like, it was, I think he forgot.
the microphones were there.
Ben's like, listen, Bob, I was running my diary last night, right?
So every night after 7 o'clock crying, I get my diary out.
Stop, he's not going to like this.
Now he's not going to get vulnerable.
Because this is why he doesn't want to get vulnerable.
Because now he's going to be like, and the guys are making fun of me saying I had a diary.
I think it's great.
And he's not going to hear this.
Okay, I don't know that.
He's not going to hear this.
And secondly, I think it's great.
It's a compliment.
The transition he's made from not wanted to see a microphone at all.
Kailin does not like to be on the air.
She's very hesitant, like, I don't know, because our listeners are mean to her sometimes.
Yeah.
And so...
Well, that's just jealousy.
But she's like, listen, I didn't sign up to be in a relationship to have people tag me in mean Internet stuff.
And I'm like, you're right.
Yeah, I get that.
She's like, I don't, she doesn't want to be a public figure.
But some of, she understands that my life is very public and that that's a part of it.
So we have to walk this fine line.
And sometimes I overstep.
And sometimes I feel like she understeps, but we figure it out little by little.
but hopefully that'll be her.
It'll be like, oh, Dr. Phil, in like six months.
No, it's been 14 years.
So good luck with that.
Listen, I ain't doing this in 14 years.
Okay, well, you'll have to figure out where else you want her to open up.
Yeah, that's true.
Okay.
So we're not doing this in 14 years.
Now, when are we going to stop doing?
We may not be doing this in 30.
What is that?
So we go ahead and put that on the calendar or we've got to plan for some things.
All right, all right.
Am you closed on our house?
Yeah, done. Signed.
Delivered. Delivered. Done.
Big, like, monkey off your back?
Well, yeah, because there was just some paperwork mixed up,
because we were supposed to close in the evening
and then had to push it to the following day.
And so it was just annoying.
But also not, because, I mean, there's bigger problems in the world, obviously.
So I got over it real quick.
Well, my therapist told me that if you compared everything
to the biggest problem or if, then you would never stop.
stop. You would lose every time and no problem would be worth, not just yours, but nobody's problems
would be worth anything because there's always something worse. Right. When I read, the Dalai Lama.
Yeah. It's like, um, five, never mind. What's that book you made me read? I thought you're
about to bring up this book that you told me to read. No, that was great. The four principles,
the four, oh yeah, four agreements. Yeah. Four agreements was fantastic. Did you love that? I didn't.
I didn't, but that doesn't mean that it's not good.
I might could revisit it.
Maybe I'm in a better space.
It's also quick.
Yeah, I remember that.
I read The Art of Happiness.
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
And his whole thing is you can't compare your issues to everybody else's.
You can't compare your happiness or sadness.
And think that if it's only at a certain place, it's valuable, because if that were the case, nobody would have any value at all.
So if, like what Amy said, well, there are worst problems in the world.
well, that means there's only one real problem in the world.
We don't know what that is.
It'd be the absolute worst than no other problems count
because everybody else would go,
well, there's worse problems in the world.
I 100% agree with what you're saying,
and I do approach like that way.
Take it back, no, I'm not going to take it back
because I was more saying that as like just a saying.
Take it back.
Can I also say something else I hate,
but people say it's take it back?
Because sometimes Caitlin and I move that, we'll take it back.
And I'm like, but I've already said it.
I can say take it back.
And sometimes just hearing the take back.
Like, oh, sometimes.
Or like, if I'm.
I just need to hear sorry, like an acknowledgement.
Sorry's different.
I'll say sorry.
I'm pretty good.
I'm sorry to her.
And I've said a lot because I'm idiotic.
Okay.
But you're good about it, just acknowledging.
I'm pretty good, yeah.
Okay.
I had said something stupid yesterday and I was like, oh, sorry about that.
I need a second, though.
I don't like to be told what to do ever, ever.
I like to be, hey, this has happened.
What do you think that is?
Definitely deep rooted.
Deep, deep, deep, deep.
Never want to be told what to do.
But so are you going to, is there working on that?
Are you working on that?
Yeah, I already acknowledge.
It's not. See, I know about it. I acknowledge it. I try to work through it. My best is give me a minute.
Okay.
Because I don't, I don't. I'm not telling you to work through it.
Yeah, you're telling them what to do, Amy.
No, I was asking.
Tell me what to do. And if I was already going to do it, I'm not anymore.
It's a brick wall. I don't like that about me, but it is who I am. But I've learned how to handle myself a little bit.
It's a strategy too. But if someone's like, you got to do this, I'm like, oh, do I have to do it?
But if someone's like, hey, you don't be real helpful if you don't mind.
Great.
do it 10 times over.
Yeah.
So, yeah.
All right, I'm being told I have to wrap up.
Oh, here's the look, two things we're going to, to get the monkey off one's back.
I wanted to see where that's saying came from.
First of all, it means to remove or solve a problem that has been difficult to get rid of.
To get rid of a problem or situation that makes one unhappy or lasts for a long time.
Who said that?
Why are we doing this?
He told you, it's like, the house, is that a monkey off your back.
Yeah.
Oh, okay.
I didn't, yeah.
I thought I found the.
where it came from.
It's got to be a place where they have monkeys, right?
Iowa thing.
Or monkeys are just normal?
The other one though is the Tim McGraw's song.
You'll remember me?
Not his, they covered it.
Some people did it before.
It's about her love.
It's gone, not a daughter.
Okay, good.
That makes more sense to me.
Mike, do we have where a monkey on your back came from?
I'd love to see Mike's Google searches.
All the crap he's Googled from us.
because I found it and then I lost it.
Okay, here we go.
There's a story in the Sinbad cycle
about a tormenting ape-like creature
that mounts a man's shoulders
and won't get off.
And so finally got the monkey off his back.
Sinbad.
Like old.
Not like the actor.
No.
Oh.
All right, we got to go.
Here's today's show.
Bye everybody.

Hey guys, welcome to the show.
Scott and McCurry coming up this hour.
Zach Brown coming up.
Easy trivia.
Looking at the list.
We have a great show.
I love Fridays.
I'm in a better mood.
We got more artists on.
It's good.
It's good.
Yeah, it is a good day.
Morning.
Well, that's what happened.
I would say leading into yesterday's show
as Amy calls me and goes,
hey, people are complaining about the international food challenge.
And so then I looked too and had a complaint or two as well.
This is before it even aired.
Because yesterday we did the International Market Food Challenge
where we went and found things that we wouldn't eat here.
We found them and we brought it.
And I had to eat like jellyfish head.
That's right.
Lunchbox had to eat pork uterus.
Oh, yeah.
And to me it was like on Survivor or Anthony Bourdain
or something that you're not used to that you have to eat.
But man, people were all but heard about it.
Really?
Just, I'll read you some of this here.
I can't believe you're doing the international market challenge.
Do you not see how insensitive this is?
I can, and it goes on.
And it asked Amy, hey, what if people were eating Haitian food?
And this is something Amy and I talked about.
And we were like, wow, I can't believe they eat that.
And I was like, yeah, we would do that.
But I bet you people would eat Pringles in other countries.
I can't believe they eat this.
Or like craft cheese, singles.
And so we had this talk.
Right.
And what did you think?
I thought, I didn't think we were approaching it in an insensitive way in any way, shape, or form.
If we were picking on a culture or something, I could see where that would be misunderstood.
But, I mean, it was really just to try interesting foods that we normally otherwise would not have the desire to try.
I think in the same vein we could have had, hey, let's hear some crazy southern food.
My grandma used to cook at me.
Sure.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, my mom loved liver.
Same thing.
Same world.
So I'm talking to Amy.
And you have to understand, a year ago, me would be like, I don't give a crap about people getting upset.
We're going to do our show.
Right.
But I was like, well, times a little different.
Yeah.
I called Scoobie Steve, our executive producer.
I said, hey, scuba, listen to this clip.
something I never do
where I'm just like
listen to this clip of things
we were talking about
on the show and if you think
this would be a good segment or not
because I brought in the segment
idea and we all laughed
so he listens to it
and goes I think it's fine
I call Rod up our boss
never in a million years
when I call him
about a bit we're about to do
and I'm like
what do you think about this bit
this segment
and he goes
who are you
what you do with Bobby
and I was like what do you mean
and he goes
why are you calling me
asking for permission
for anything
because you didn't get here
because you asked for permission
You get here because you just do what you feels right
and sometimes you're right and occasionally you're wrong
and you move on
and I was like, I felt like the Rocky music
was going in the background.
I have the tiger?
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
So I'm like fine, so I call it and so we're doing the bit tomorrow.
So you guys didn't know any of this happen.
I don't want anyone to know that this is all dramatic.
We brought in the food, ate the jellyfish.
It was awful, by the way.
My stomach was not good.
And we went on with it.
So we did the bit.
didn't look at social until the show was over
and I asked Scoob after the show yesterday
said, we see any complaints?
You know how many complaints we got?
Zero.
Nice.
That's right.
So I'm just here to say
that I just can't worry about a
you know, a stray message or two
getting pre-but-hurt, by the way.
Not even upset about the bit,
but pre-hurt.
Yeah, we hadn't done it yet.
We haven't done the bill yet.
People are complaining.
But I just can't be that guy who worries about.
I just got to come.
We got to come do our show, and that's it.
We know who we are.
Sometimes we mess up, but most times we're providing hopefully great entertainment and companionship
for the people that are a part of our group.
If you're listening to us, you're part of our group.
We're very inclusive here.
You can be part of us.
We're kind of the loser gang.
We should never have a show.
If you're a loser like us and you feel like you're not, you don't fit in everywhere,
you're right here with us.
So that was the dream.
drama yesterday. How you feel?
I feel good now knowing that there was no complaints.
Well, I was torn. I kind of wanted there to be some and be like, yeah, I don't care.
But then we got none and I was like, why was I even caring?
So that was the big drama the day before and then yesterday, but we did the bit.
Let my compass lead me and away we went.
So we're here today. We do have a good show today.
On today's show, we're going to be talking about a lot of the cases that the Supreme Court are going.
Here we go.
Right.
Oh, boy.
Okay.
You're crazy.
You're kidding.
On the Bobby Bones show now.
Scotty McCreary.
What's up, dude?
What's going on, man?
How are you?
I'm good.
I wanted to get you on because I don't feel like it's a jinx.
I don't really believe in the jinx anyway,
but I do believe you're going to have a number one at the end of this week.
Do you believe that already, or are you still kind of crossing your fingers?
I'm hopeful, man.
I'm hopeful.
I'm a big reverse psychology, all that good stuff, so I don't say it.
But I'm working towards it.
what happened. Does it make you cringe when I say you're probably going to have a number one at the end of this week?
Yeah. I mean, I'm not quite there yet, but I'll take it.
Hey, you look kind of weird right now because you're wearing an LSU hat and a Patriot sweatshirt.
Like, my OCD would be killing me right now.
You see, I came by it honestly, both of them. I'm married into LSU. My pops is from New England.
But I do get weird looks in public when I wear this combo together. People are like, you kidding me right now?
You know, the whole getting into a team because you're a significant other, can you say you married in the LSU, my girlfriend is from Oklahoma, but she is a diehard Oklahoma City Thunder fan. So I have become an Oklahoma City Thunder fan. Does that make me a poser, or does it make me just a new potential hardcore fan?
So I think the OCC crowd would love to have you on their fandom. So, no, I'm a big, I mean, my first LSC game I watched with her family was against Alabama.
they didn't score a touchdown.
So I've been there when they were not great,
and last season was obviously fun too.
We have Scott and McCurry on with us.
We're talking about how, I guess in an interview you had said
that you leave the cap off the toothpaste
and you leave the toilet seat up.
Have you gotten any better in year or two of your marriage at those things?
Or is that just what you've told her,
hey, this is just who I am?
I would say I've gotten a little better through quarantine
because I've just been home more,
and I think I'm learning a little more of home etiquette.
Because home etiquette and bus etiquette are two totally different things, I would say.
I bet you missed the bus, huh?
I do. I've always said that I sleep better on that bus because the engine's kind of low on you to sleep.
You have endless snacks right above your head. You just pull out whenever you're hungry.
So, yeah, I'm itching to get back on the road.
Well, I wanted to have Scotty on. First of all, I'll tell him congratulations on another song.
Just, you know, as a person, you're one of my favorite people in country music,
and I'm so proud to see you just succeed like crazy.
And, you know, I mean, I got all your number ones here.
Here's five more minutes, just so we can kind of have a little number one flex for Scotty here.
Here's five more minutes.
Here's, this is it.
This is it.
This is now.
This is what I've been talking about.
And here's a song that's about to be number one.
Here's a clip of In Between.
I'm in between.
I love the song.
You know, you're one of my favorite guys, and I don't have that many favorite guys.
It's just basically you.
and Eddie. That's it.
There we go, man. It's quite a squad right there.
I tell you what, Bobby, I was. I don't like to blow smoke,
but I was kind of reminiscing last night as we're kind of making this push week,
and I was looking back on some more turbulent times for us when things were kind of rocky.
We had five more minutes, and nobody was playing it, and you heard it.
Oh, there's a moose. He agrees.
But nobody was playing it, and you call it. I want to give a spin and let people here because it's good.
So I appreciate that.
Scott, you good to talk to you.
Hopefully I see in real life.
and form some time real soon, all right, dude?
It's always good to see you, man.
Appreciate you have me on.
See it, Scottie.
Yeah, be good.
All right, here we go.
Number five.
The world record for the most non-stop push-ups is 10,507.
Wow.
Set by a man named Monaru Yoshita in 1980, and he held the record for 40 years.
Oh, I was going to say he died right after he did him?
He's held it.
No, he still has it.
Wow, 10,000 pushups in a row.
I don't even know how that's possible.
That's crazy.
We'll be revealing today who was able to make it and get 500 in the day, not even nonstop.
No, broken up.
Dang, that's a lot.
I can probably do...
Non-stop.
65.
Okay.
Non-stop.
Because I can go in two rounds and get 100 in.
And that's impressive, too.
65.
Like, that's hard.
I had to work up to get there.
That's a lot.
Dang.
I wonder what he looks like.
Is he so jacked?
He's super skinny with huge pecks.
Probably.
Yeah, yeah.
All right.
So Oklahoma is the only state to have an official state meal.
Boom, and it's my favorite meal.
And Kaelin gives me all this crap about it because she's from Oklahoma.
But it's chicken fried steak.
That's one of the things.
Yeah.
Gravy, white gravy.
Sausage and gravy.
Yeah, pork.
There's some kind of pork on there.
Barbecue pork.
I just know this from my heart.
Corn on the cob.
Oh.
Yeah.
Yeah, what else?
Oran and corn bread, biscuits, fried okra, squash, grits, and strawberries.
Yeah.
That's the complete state meal.
And I'm like, wow, that's so cool.
We have it for dinner every night.
That's why I've been looking a little heavier these days.
But yeah, they have official state meal.
I saw that on Instagram.
Only one.
All right, there you go.
Number three.
So Bruce Willis was originally supposed to star in the movie Ghost with his wife,
well, his then-wife, Demi Moore.
but he turned it down because he didn't understand how romance with a ghost would work.
And he said he's later called himself a knucklehead for doing that.
So ghost, don't tell me.
Ghost was Demi Moore, but it was another famous actor.
Oh, Patrick Swayze.
Yeah.
And it's such a good movie.
But yeah, it was a ghost.
But he was a ghost?
Yes.
But yeah, yeah, I've often thought about how to do with a ghost.
I haven't figured it out of it.
When I do, look out, I'm not coming into work.
All right.
So SpongeBob SquarePants was supposed to be named Sponge Boy,
and the show would be called Sponge Boy Ahoi.
That was the plan.
But it turned out there was a mop company that already owned a trademark on a character called Sponge Boy.
So that's when they changed it to SpongeBob.
Who lives in a pineapple under the sea?
SpongeBob Square Pan.
Oh, so, yeah.
Do you know how, because you're a nickelback kind of fan.
No, I'm not in nickel.
Yes, you are.
Yeah, you are.
Just because I stick up for them not being terrible.
Do you know how they got their name nickel back?
Well, of course he does. Watch.
If you know, then yes, you're a fan.
Go ahead.
I'm not a fan, so I don't know.
So just tell me.
So one of the members was a cashier at Starbucks, and people would give him a $1.50 to pay for their coffee.
And a lot of times what they were ordering was $1.45.
So he was given a lot of nickelbacks.
Oh, my God.
That can't be true.
There's no way that's true.
You want a nickel back?
And that is how.
he thought of the name.
Nickelback.
They're not a terrible band.
Raymond, play me a clip, Ramondo.
Tell me you're not feeling this a little bit.
I'm not feeling a little bit.
Do you have any other ones, right?
Movedo?
Do you have?
This is how you remind me.
And I'm not a fan.
If they came, I wouldn't go to a show.
But I'm not going to disrespect them
because other people do.
Because it makes me feel cool to drag someone down.
I really am.
It's not like you.
You say sorry.
A world's waiting on a different story.
All right.
Is that it, Amy?
Yeah, I mean, that's are my fun facts.
There you go.
Fun fact Friday.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan number two.
30 second skinny.

I'm Morgan number two.
That's your skinny.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Gregory Watkins, Sr. has been a UPS driver in Smithtown, New York for over 13 years.
Same houses, same community, and they all love them.
wanted to do something to lift his spirits during this time because he's extra busy.
So they all made homemade signs in the neighborhood saying thank you for all you do.
And when he got to the end of his route one day, 50 families gathered in the park there to say thank you.
You are amazing and thanks for everything you do.
Wow.
I'm looking at this here.
The guy's about to cry.
Got gloves on too.
And they're all social distance.
It's the perfect story.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
This story comes to us from New Jersey.
A man has admitted he was the best man at his best friend's wedding.
He's only 22 years old, never been to a wedding before.
He had to give a speech.
He was nervous.
Had a few drinks.
And in the middle of speech, he proposed his girlfriend.
Oh, he proposed in the middle of him.
Oh, yeah, not cool.
Huh.
I wish we had tape of that.
That would be fun.
I'll just say, I love this guy more than anything.
I'm happy to be.
Chrissy
It's got me thinking
Will you?
Dang, just took all the shine off his day.
The groom asked him to leave the wedding
girlfriend broke up with him.
Oh wow.
Nothing worked out.
Because he was drunk or because he proposed.
Because he proposed at the wedding.
Yeah, that's a tough one.
Which I don't think he would have done
if he hadn't have been.
But how if you're the girlfriend,
if it's proposing, let me just,
devil's advocate here.
If that relationship's going to why he proposed,
she broke up with him just for being drunk.
Yeah, but doing that, I would be...
But you don't break up a whole relationship that's almost proposal-worthy.
Again, that shows you his decision-making skills.
Yeah, but again, you already know that about him.
She must have been teetering.
What he did was no surprise to her.
That kind of guy just, you don't make decisions like me,
then all of a sudden get up drunk and go,
will you marry me?
Well, maybe that was the last straw.
Maybe.
All right.
I'm Lunchbox.
That's your Bonehead story of the day.

all right let's update the push-up challenge
we're trying to do 500 a day we
this is the first day we have to come in and
announce if we did 500 or not
it's hard
I'll go first I did 500 I didn't do it all at once
obviously how long did it take you
well I think I did it in four settings
so I don't know
did two in the morning
and then two later in the evening
so I have my 500 in
So I'm in for my 500. Who else is in the game? Morgan, did you do it?
Yep, I nailed all 500, and I am so sore.
My arms feel like little jellon beans right now.
How did you do yours?
I did 100 in the morning. I did 300 during like a training session, and I did 100 more when I got back home.
What on earth.
Ramundo, do you do 500 push-up yesterday?
Yeah, I got my 500 in, spread it out over about six hours.
I'm showing it to the camera right now.
Increments of 20, 30.
one time I got crazy and did 40
but that's 500 baby
look at that camera come on
so far I'm donating 40 bucks to charity
I do mine too if I do it too so far 60 bucks
into charity 20 bucks for every day
I know I'm gonna go to Eddie and he's gonna say no
I can just see by his face I don't know I don't know
because I didn't ask anybody about their results
Eddie I want to come to you later
okay save me Amy
yeah I didn't do any
okay zero
and there she goes
I didn't do any
None.
Well, she's out.
I'm not sore at all.
Did you remember at all?
No, I think actually I did a workout and it maybe involved me pushing up my body a few different times, like upward dog.
That's called yoga.
And it crossed my mind and I was like, oh, it feels good.
Okay.
Lunchbox?
Man, I woke up in the morning, ready to go.
Got, you know, like 30 in that first hour and then, you know, got doing some things.
and then I took a three-hour nap and I woke up
and I realized, man, I'm running out of hours
and I felt good that I got that close to 500
and I gave up. So you got 30 in.
Yeah. All right.
Eddie, I'm hoping that you stay in
because me, Morgan, Ray, are the only ones.
Yeah, it's not a lot. It's only three of you guys.
Yeah.
So, okay, so here's what happened.
So my plan was to do 10 push-ups,
10 push-up increments throughout the whole day.
And I was doing it.
I mean, every time I remember 10 push-ups.
And it was easy.
And I gave myself enough time for me to just be a little chill, relaxed, and 10 was no big deal.
Next thing you know, Bones, it was nighttime.
And I...
Next thing you know, it was nighttime?
That's not how it works.
Yeah, time gets away from me.
I understand it.
I did a total of 320.
320, you were almost there.
Why would you give up?
Because I ran out of time.
And my planning was off.
And what I'm asking you, Bones, is can I have a second chance and try it again?
Because I feel, since I got to 320 and I'm not super sore.
Maybe because I only did 320.
320, but I'm not super sore and I know I can do it.
Give me one more shot.
I give you another shot.
So 20 bucks goes for you too.
That's what I'm talking about.
Yeah.
All you have to do, by the way, the weekend's a break.
Yes.
As far as, all you have to do when you come in Monday, it's at $500 done for the whole weekend.
That's what I'm talking about.
So, but Amy, lunchbox, you guys are out.
I am.
As of today, I'll donate $80 to the fund for the guy we're building the house for it was in the military that lost his leg.
and we'll donate to that.
Christopher Biggs, Army Sergeant,
Christopher Bigs, shout out, wow.
And so also our PD in Bakersville, Brent,
is matching any donation that happens from this show.
Money-wise, not push-up-wise?
Money-wise.
Okay, so four of us still in.
But he did, it's all because Mark Ruffalo
did 500 push-ups a day for, I think a month or so.
And it's not impossible.
That's the thing.
It's not impossible.
You didn't even do it.
I did 320.
You can't talk about it.
I really can't believe you were that close and you didn't finish.
Like, that's, you're almost done.
Yeah.
Okay, but if you come in Monday and don't have it done, that's really bad.
I understand.
I'm going to have it done because I know I can do it.
Okay.
All right, we're good, huh?
Yeah.
Amy, I'll play a country star wishing everyone happy Father's Day.
Just name the artist.
Okay.
It should be pretty easy.
Here's number one.
Wishing all the fathers out there a very happy Father's Day.
Here's to you, Dad.
Luke Brian.
Yeah, Luke Brines right.
All right.
Can you name, this one's pretty easy.
Go ahead.
Wishing all of you dads out there a very happy Father's Day.
Key Thurban.
Key Thurban's right.
All right.
All right, number three.
Wishing all the fathers out there a very happy Father's Day.
Here's the U.S.
Senior, insert beer can opening sample.
That's John Party.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Okay, a little harder.
Name this country star.
To all you fathers out there, happy father's day.
Ooh.
You can get that one.
No, no.
Can I hear it again?
Uh-huh.
To all you fathers out there, happy father's day.
Shoot.
What?
One more time.
To all you fathers out there, happy father's day.
Oh, I hear it in the there.
Let me do an example, right?
Let me do it.
If he were performing, it would be like this.
If that was a song, it would be like,
To all your fathers is the happy father's day.
Happy Father's Day.
Sam line.
There.
I heard it in the there.
Like if you hear it in the there.
I know it.
That's a hard one.
Oh, was it?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Okay, we're not going to play it again.
He talks to me in my dream, so I hear it a lot.
I hear from more.
Wishing you a happy Father's Day.
Oh.
It kind of sounds like Tom is Rhett to me, but...
Listen again.
Wishing you a happy Father's Day.
Oh, that does sound like Tom Shrod a little bit.
It's not.
It's not.
Okay, hold on.
You can get this.
Wishing you a happy Father's Day.
What?
One more?
Wishing you a happy Father's Day.
Eddie, can you get that one?
No chance, man.
I have no idea who that is.
Oh.
Yeah, you got it.
Say it.
Say it.
No, I don't think it's right.
Go ahead, it is.
Colstundell.
Not right.
Okay.
Wait, play it again.
Play it again.
I'm asking you a happy Father's Day.
Happy Father's Day.
How about you do that thing where you sing?
They don't sing one of their songs.
Just sing how they sing, wishing you a happy Father's Day.
I would need a prop.
Oh,
Christianson?
No.
Oh, I thought maybe a harmonica.
I'm going to put,
I'm going to put these,
okay, ready?
These are glasses.
Okay,
I'm going to put them on.
Happy Father's Day.
Oh.
Charlie Warshot?
Get them,
clap your hands.
Yeah.
What?
I'm a cool guy,
and I like to,
I like to fit.
Oh,
I'll fistfire you.
Watch it,
and all my people out there.
You're on.
Brantley Gilbert?
No.
No,
Eric Charles.
I'll fist by you.
I'll fist by you.
You know what?
I don't really ever hear Eric Church talk.
That's what it sounds like.
I know.
All right, that's enough.
Jason, now, Dean here.
Amy, you got 4 or 5, 80%.
Yeah, that's not that great.
You're on the honor roll still.
Give yourself a break.
I'm not proud.
You can call us anytime, leave a voicemail if you like.
We're bringing back to voicemail.
I've decided officially.
It was going the way of the dodo bird, but not for us.
We want to play them on the air.
So 877-77 Bobby.
our number. Here is Darcy from Arkansas.
So I was listening to the podcast
and I was wondering if Amy was drunk
on the air and I was wondering
why everybody sounded drunk
but did you know that you
can adjust to speak up your podcast
on the IHartRadio app.
Bobby, if you ever wonder what you might sound like
drunk, slow the speed on the
ass. Anyway, B-team shout out,
Ramundo, have fun of your bachelor party. I hope you
sounded just like you did. Have a good day.
That's funny.
So first off, let's address a few things here.
Thanks for the B team shoutout.
I appreciate you being on the B team.
Secondly, the reason that you can adjust podcast speeds is if you want to consume it faster,
you can do it like 1.5.
I don't do that annoying to me.
Oh, really?
Any audiobook or podcast, I listen to it at over the recommended speed.
I already talk way too fast where sometimes I can't even understand me.
So, I mean, if we could just finish the show fast, if I just want to do that, if I just
want to do this, be like, Darth's wrong, so thank you very much. You can also go to the,
we just do it ourselves. Yeah.
So when, if I listen to a whole book that way and then I go back and I hear how the actual
person really talks, I'm very confused, because I just figure they're talking like this.
Check out the show, though. Listen to it on the IHart Radio app. Search Bobby Bone
Show on demand. We do a post show as well after the microphones turn off for like the radio signal.
We keep going. So check that out. Thank you for the call.
The Bob Bow Show.
Here's Amy's Pile of Stories.
So Denny's just announced that they're making.
baking bacon bouquets for Father's Day.
All you got to do is make sure that your order is $25 or more when you order through postmates
and then enter the promo code bacon bouquet and boom, you get one thrown in for free.
Two things. Good luck spelling the word bouquet just out of nowhere.
I was like, oh.
I was thinking about it.
Let me try.
And I feel like I'm a pretty good speller.
Good.
I was going to ask.
B-O-U.
Q-U.
Buquette.
Buquette.
B-O-U-E-T, bouquet.
Is that right?
That is correct.
Yeah, and see, I wouldn't bet a lot of money on that.
I totally would have gotten it wrong.
I wanted to throw in there somewhere.
Yeah, so type in the promo code bacon bouquet.
Yeah.
They're not going to give any awake because nobody's going to spell it right.
It is pretty cool looking, though, and that's the kind of bouquet that dads would want over flowers.
And two things you can give your dad, a bouquet and heart disease.
At the same time, right here.
cholesterol.
All right, what else?
So a new study found that digital voice assistants like Alexa or Siri, they're not a reliable
source of information during a life or death emergency. So if there's a real issue going down in your
house, call 911. Don't ask for help. But a lot of people do. And researchers like ran drills
with the different voice things like for heart attacks and poisonings, choking. Those are
some of the most common ones. And like Alexa, only got,
19% of her information was even correct.
Well, can I tell you something?
Siri is terrible.
She didn't even come through all of them.
Yeah, no, Siri doesn't know half the things I'm saying.
They said don't talk to her about anything.
Yeah, she's emotionally unavailable.
Alexa's there for you a little more.
Siri's awful.
How can Apple have such an inferior product?
Like, it's not even close.
Sometimes, just to get under Siri's skin, I'll call Siri Alexa.
Oh, just to make her mad.
Well, you know who is the smartest just in case is the Google one.
It doesn't make sense.
I mean, it does make sense, but nobody has that.
A Google Home?
I know.
Why not?
By nobody, I mean, there are a lot of people that have it, but it doesn't really break the mass consumption.
What's its name?
Google Home.
Oh, okay.
It doesn't have a name.
Maybe that's a problem.
I think you just say, hey, Google Home.
I don't know.
That's too much to say.
Yeah, they need to give it a nice girl name.
Yeah, but Siri stinks.
I mean, I'll ask Siri, hey, Siri, how do I get somewhere?
And they're like, doop, here's a map of all the baseball players from 1912 to 1915.
I'm like, no, I ask for directions.
The weather today will be.
Yeah.
Okay, what else you got?
Congratulations to Chuck Wicks and his wife.
They are expecting their first child together in December, a baby boy.
And they're really over the moon about this because they've been struggling with infertility issues for almost a year.
And they did a whole article about their journey with People magazine.
And I thought it was really awesome for Chuck and his wife to put this out there because so many people go through this and they're telling their story.
And, yeah, Chuck.
Chuck just straight up is, it was because of him, issues that were going on with him.
And through IVF, they were able to make it happen.
So they feel like it's definitely a miracle and they're super happy.
Yeah, good for them.
Chuck and I are friends.
I know he's super pumped.
This is the first kid.
Yeah.
Here's the thing about Chuck Wicks.
He's one of those guys that get so annoyed at because he's big and tall and he's good looking.
And he's an athlete.
He does Iron Man's.
Yeah.
I think he's done like, I don't know.
I don't want to talk about it.
And then he also.
Did you tell him you're training for a half marathon?
I'm not training.
And then he's also a singer.
Has hits.
Yeah, good singer.
And I'm just like, what the heck, man?
You do like five things.
Okay, will you?
No, this is not about me.
But I struggle to do everything.
I don't have a distinct talent or skill.
I'm like our listeners.
We're just out there hustling, grinding, putting in the extra work.
If I was Chuck Wicks, I'd just show up and smile and let the money fall at me.
You know?
Yeah.
Fall on my feet.
All right, what else you got?
That's it.
my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So this nine-year-old and her friends have made $80,000 for businesses simply by selling
homemade bracelets.
Now, with the protests in Minneapolis and across the country, that's what gave these
girls an idea that they wanted to help out businesses.
And I guess her dad is a former NFL player.
Do you know Ron Johnson?
Mm-mm.
No.
It's a pretty common name, though.
Oh.
Hey, do you know Mike Smith?
I've heard of one, maybe.
Well, he played football and he's, like, on the radio or some support shows.
He was able to kind of get the word out.
And her bracelets were selling for a dollar here, $5 there out in her front yard.
But then once it got word got out, people just started donating money to her account.
And within two weeks, she's raised $80,000.
Wow.
And she's nine.
That's crazy.
Hey, do you know Chris Jones?
I don't know.
I know.
Ben Smith?
Okay, but you would know the Ben Smith that played linebacker for the chiefs or something, maybe?
We're just giving you a hard time.
Ron Johnson was a wide receiver.
Four?
He, round four, pick 123 in the 2002 draft.
He was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens.
Well, there you go.
He's from Detroit, age 40.
I don't know if you're in the league now.
I guess he's not in the league.
Last team he played with was the Cleveland Gladiators in 2008.
That's a team?
Now the new NFL.
It is?
No.
It's a great story.
There you go.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.

Let's go over to Amy for the morning corny.
The morning corny.
Why did the espresso keep?
checking his watch. Why did the espresso keep checking his watch? Because he was
pressed for time. That's pretty good. That was the morning corny.
Father's Day is coming out this weekend so remember your dad or your husband, you know?
Yeah. I don't think Father's Day is as heavy as Mother's Day. But it's still a day
and it's important. But it's absolutely a day. Yeah. Am I wrong for thinking that? I mean,
I think that in general guys don't like to be as celebrated in that way as much as
women, but it's important.
Yeah. It's it, yeah.
The acknowledgement or, hey, just go do your own thing.
Yeah. Terry in Frenchtown, Montana left this message.
Hi, my dad used to talk like Donald Duck and would embarrass all of my teen friends and
myself, and it was just hilarious, actually.
But anyway, talk to you in the morning. Bye.
There's one dad's story. Here's another one from Lacey in Texas.
Hey, y'all. I just wanted to call in and wish my husband, Josh, a 40th birthday today.
and a happy early Father's Day.
Thanks, guys.
We love the show.
All right, we'll play some more Father's Day message coming up.
Lunchbox, who'd you call?
I called Fireworks Stans, Fourth of July coming up.
I figured buy some fireworks,
and I named all the fireworks after members on the show.
So you would ask them for, like, you know, Bobby's whistling Bobby Rockets
and things like that Eddie's Silent but Deadlies.
Okay, here we go.
Listen, I know Fourth of July coming up
and I'm trying to get some fireworks,
and I was wondering if you carry any whistling Bobby Rockets.
Yeah, we got them.
They're 15 bucks for a growth.
17 bucks for a tri-wistle rocket.
What about Eddie's Silent but Deadlies?
One second.
What is it, sir?
Silent but Deadly.
Eddie's Silent but Deadlies.
I don't know what it is, sir.
Okay.
You're talking about a certain brand item.
I don't know what it is.
I'm not familiar with it.
Okay.
What about Morgan No, 2's whiskers?
I'm hanging up now, sir.
No, no, no, no, sir.
I don't have that stuff.
You have rockets, sky rockets,
missiles, artillery, Roman candles
who are fully stocked. You're asking about another company's
branded items. I don't know what a whisker does.
Okay, what about lunchbox purple nerples?
He's over it.
All right, here he calls.
This is a different guy or something?
Oh, yeah, different fireworks then.
I came up with different names. Those weren't good enough.
All right.
What can it help you with?
Oh, yeah, I was just called to see if you got any
Bobby's bone crushers.
What can they help you with, man?
No, I'm trying to get the Bobby Bone Crusher Firework.
You know, it's like the biggest and baddest one of them all.
We open on June 24th.
Oh, do you have Amy's clumsy caterpillars?
You know what I mean?
They just kind of wander around and, you know, you're like, oh, is this ever going to go?
It goes on and on and on.
You're like, can it end?
Why did I light this firework?
Hey, I'm super busy and the calls blocked.
Anything I can help you with, sir.
Do you have LB's loudmouth fountain?
No, I don't.
I mean, he's just like the loudest boom when you light it.
Boom.
It's like the loudest one of the bunch.
The Amy's clumsy caterpillar is pretty funny.
It just keeps going and going and going.
And you start to go, why did I even like this?
Hilarious.
Okay, this is, you call him back?
No, no, no, he's still going.
Oh, okay.
What about Eddie's balding eagles?
Like, it is so awesome.
It'll take your hair right off.
Okay, okay.
Anything else.
What about Ray's wedding whistles?
Don't have Ray's wedding whistles either.
Oh, my gosh.
Like, it takes, you know,
very long delight and you're like, oh, it's going to be something awesome and it gets drug out.
Like, you know, like you've been waiting for this wedding forever and this firework you want it to pop and it just takes forever to get here.
Don't have that one either, sir.
Anything else?
Man, you need to look into that Bobby Bone Crusher though.
Bobby Bone Crusher.
Bobby Bones Crusher.
It's like the one that, you know, you think, oh, all these other fireworks are cool and you have a great idea by lighting fireworks.
And then you like the bone crusher.
It's like, the King Dingling.
It's just a way for lunchbox to roast everybody.
Basically.
I got to go back.
Eddie's balding eagles.
That's hilarious.
What is it?
It takes your hair right out.
Oh, man, it'll take your hair right off.
Ray's wedding whistles.
It takes very long delight.
You know, he gets way drug out.
That's funny.
All right, nice job, lunchbox.
The Friday morning conversation with...
Zach Brown.
Hey, Zach.
What's happening?
Where are you right now?
You want to tell me, or is it a big secret?
It's a big secret, man
I've just been
staying close to home in VA
Yeah, I've been asking where you were
And they're like, Zach does not reveal his location
I'm like, hey, what's that?
It's like a spy?
Government spy right now?
Hey man, your new song's really good.
The man who loves you the most, you know?
I always like to reach out when you put something out
that kind of touches me a little bit.
I just kind of wanted to hit you up
and have you tell me a little bit about the song.
Yeah, man, you know, I'm getting to
be home.
I got my kids.
you know, seven days on and seven days off and just being able to really dive in and be connected
and present and know consistently that that's my schedule with them. It's been amazing. And in
the spirit of all of that and just thinking about my kids getting older and kind of what it's
going to be like, I figured I'd go ahead and throw the gauntlet down now. I'd be like, you know,
you're going to be interested in another guy sooner and later on, you know, you're going to have a man
when that makes sense or whatever, but, you know, I'm your guy.
I'm the OG and I love you the most.
Your oldest daughter is 13.
Is that when you start to intimidate guys that come around,
like little boyfriends?
Is that when you're like, yeah, that's right, I got guns?
Yeah, I've just started relocation program
to just quietly, where they wake up somewhere,
a really long way away,
and if they make it back to their home,
then we can have that conversation.
I saw that you played this song,
on John Krasinski's show.
I'm a huge fan of the office.
He had that show called Some Good News.
How'd they reach out to you?
That was a really special thing.
What happened there?
You know, a mutual friend, I just sent the song to,
you know, Sarah with my, with WME.
She knew John, and then I just sent the song to her to check it out.
She listened to it and she was like,
this would be perfect.
So she connected us with John,
and me and John have a lot of respect for each other.
And anyway, it ended up working perfectly,
and he was that same week was doing the, you know, digital wedding
because the families couldn't get together because of everything that's happening.
So that was pretty amazing, man.
But, you know, just to get love and be on there with the whole office staff
and, you know, the crew there was pretty sweet.
On with us right now is Zach Brown.
We're about to play this song, The Man Who Loves You the Most.
Hey, let's talk about, you know, being a dad.
How has that changed you as a songwriter and a performer just in general?
your perspective on life even.
Nothing has a greater meaning than my kids to me.
I mean, nothing could even come close.
I am in love with every single one of them,
and it's amazing how different they all are
and just getting to be around
and kind of really of all the things you do as a kid with them,
and then, you know, my job is kind of to coach them to be good people
and to try to go out and, you know,
Put some good in the world, you know.
The last line, the last chorus of the song is, you know, when you, it goes from being, you know,
I hope you let the whole world in your heart, but you still have room for me.
And then that turns into, you know, I hope when you change the whole world with your heart,
I hope you think of me.
And, you know, somebody told me a long time ago when I was first, you know, my kids were little,
and it took a huge weight off of me, but it also gave me, like, really strong intentioning.
And they told me that if you teach your kids how to be good people,
then they're going to be successful at whatever it is that they try to do.
So that's my goal,
and to try to just invest in them and let them know that they're loved.
And, you know, just the whole process with being a dad is amazing.
It's a crazy thing, man.
But I don't think anything gives you more purpose than that.
It doesn't for me.
All right, there he is.
Zach Brown.
We're going to play it now.
The man who loves you the most.
Zach, big fan of your music, big fan of you.
you soon. Have a good father's day. Thanks, Bobby. You're the man. All right. This is David from
Virginia. Good morning, studio. I was calling about my daughter Taylor, who was a big fan of the show and the
raging idiots. The target song is her favorite. First thing is we are moving to a new state, and she's having
a tough time with it. She's starting in a new school system and also starting middle school all at
once. Do you have any tips or advice for? Also, her 11th birthday is a Friday, and a birthday shout
off from the show and make her day. Thank you for taking my call and thank you for everything.
You got it. We're about to hit this hard because I got a lot of
stuff for her. Number one, Taylor, happy birthday, 11 years old today. So everybody say,
happy birthday to Taylor. Happy birthday, Taylor. Let me talk about starting in a new school for a second.
I did it many times. Growing up, we had to move a lot. We were evicted from places or like our
the rent would go up. So we moved a lot. It was the best thing to ever happen to me,
but it was also, at times the hardest because you're just going into new people and you're just
like, wow, I'm going to tell you, Taylor, I know you're listening to this because you got to hear your
birthday shout out. It's going to be. It's going to be.
so awesome because you're going to make so many friends. It's going to be tough for a second.
But as long as you don't go in, trying to super impress, just go and be yourself. You're an
awesome person anyway. And the friends are going to come to you. I was never in a situation where I left
at school and then six months later didn't have it as good or better. It got a little bumpy in between
at the new, you meet anybody new. It gets a little bumpy. You know, you're the new kid in class.
You have many times the teacher would say, all right, class, I walk in. We have a new student
today and I'm that new student
probably five times
and it's like oh boy they're all looking at me
but I'm telling you it is going to be the best
thing to ever happen to you you're going to have
all these new friends I have so many friends
from different stages in my life and different schools
that I still know today
so hang in there Taylor you're going to make so many friends
it's going to be awesome

Mm-hmm.
What ancient people built pyramids?

Superman is the Man of Steel, I think.
Ugh.
I mean, Iron Man has a steel suit.
Who's known as the man of steel, Amy?
I'm thinking it through.
It's either Superman or Iron Man.
I feel like Superman isn't steel, but they call him the Man of Steel.
Need an answer.
Oh, Superman.
Correct.
Thank you.
Can you imagine if Iron Man was named the Man of Steel?
Yeah, come on, Amy.
Right, that would be known.
That's too much on the nose.
That's too much on the nose.
Lunchbox, what month is Labor Day in?
Labor Day.
Okay.
Oh, gosh.
Okay.
Well, I know it straddles August and September,

The answer is September.
September.
First.
I thought you were, like, joking, too.
It's the first Monday of September, right?
Eddie.
Yeah, come on.
What's another term for the first 10 amendments in the Constitution?

Martha Washington.
Two of you remain. It's Amy versus Eddie for the championship.
Amy the two smartest.
One question.
It's always us.
You'll buzz in with your name.

Thank you.
You ran through all the questions, and we had a ton of questions today.
Eddie, you got some tough ones too.
Thanks, man.
What is it?
I know that bricks, but it's straw.
Straw, wood, den house, and then brick.
Yeah, and siding.
It didn't make it.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
While serving in his second deployment in Afghanistan,
Marine BK Kane was a handler for an IED detection dog.
Now, Blue, the Black Lab was specially trained to snap out explosives
and was BK's partner from 2011-2012.
He said the dog saved his life many times and lives of fellow soldiers.
Now, he was so grateful to Blue.
He promised he'd give her a good home
when she'd have to worry about finding bombs when that was over.
So after his tour, Blue was reassigned.
He lost track of her, but he was determined to track her down.
So he spent years trying to locate Blue.
and after a lot of searching, he finally did.
The dog served her country for seven and a half years,
retired at age 10,
and is now living out her golden years
with BK and his family in Georgia.
Man, how crazy is that?
Pretty darn cute.
Yeah, that's crazy. That's awesome.
BK says that these working dogs
will give their lives for us,
so he should be thankful and respectful to them too.
Man, that is crazy.
That is a great story.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Well, it's come to this.
It's now time for the battle of the bread.
That's right.
Your first competitor.
They are coated with a special topping made primarily of melted butter.
Also garlic salt on it.
With garlic topping, it's 140 calories.
Please welcome to the ring.
Olive Garden Breadsticks!
So good.
I mean, I felt like they were really coming in.
They're in the red corner?
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Hey, listen.
Olive Garden breadsticks, aren't they?
And they're like just salty and moist enough.
I know you don't like that word.
But was it gross one I said it just in?
Maybe because you said it was salty.
Mm.
Love Olive Garden breadstick.
Well, it's challenging.
What corner was he in?
The right corner?
Oh, no, no.
Let's do Blue Corner for Olive Garden.
Why?
Because the other one's red corner.
Okay.
In the red corner, these are made with all-purpose flour, salt, butter, baking powder.
Oh my gosh.
They are 160 calories.
Ladies and gentlemen, cheddar bay biscuits from Red Lobster.
So good.
How do you chew?
I know, you only get one.
There are five people here on the board.
We will select one as the.
the champion. It's the olive garden breadstick versus the cheddar bay biscuit from Red
Lobster. And eventually we're going to do a whole tournament and there'll be one champion.
Okay. This is too funny. It'd just be different things that are near each other. All right, Amy,
you only get one. What are you going to have? You're going to have a breadstick or a biscuit?
Gosh, they are both so amazing. But I guess if I only get one, I'm going to go with
the cheddar bay biscuit.
Oh.
Not a wrong pick here.
I know.
I just, I just, I feel like maybe I can be a little more versatile with that one.
The weird thing is, too, they're about the same calorie.
140 and 160.
I'm not even worried about that.
Oh, that's the first thing I look at.
If I were really going to just have one.
But they're both so good.
Lunchbox.
Man, I, they're both really good.
I love the breadstick.
I remember taking a road trip from Nashville to Austin and Amy stopped at Red Lobster one time just to get the biscuit.
for the road trip.
And I was like, this girl's crazy.
And I was like, wow, these are amazing.
But when I think about it, I love the plane, Jane,
just nothing overdone, just nice long breadstick.
Give me the olive garden bread stick.
There he is.
What are you like?
A long stick.
Hey, also on this, you get the, you get the, just an order, like one order.
Perfect.
Right, not just one stick or one month.
You get one order.
All right, one to one.
Eddie?
Okay, this is Rocky versus Apollo.
For sure, the best two fighters in the world.
But look, man, my mouth is watered.
I'm thinking those cheddar bay biscuits, they're so freaking good.
When I think of, like, perfect dinner night with the best meal,
take me to red lobster to get those cheddar bay biscuits.
Come on.
So we got two boats biscuit, one boat breadstick.
Morgan number two, you do Food World.
You're an expert in food.
Where are you going to put?
You get one order.
You get the breadsticks or the biscuits.
Where are you going?
There is no doubt in my mind about this one, okay?
Every time you go to Olive Garden,
all you're looking for is the breadsticks.
Olive Garden breadsticks.
Wow!
Let's go!
Two to two.
Oh, I thought they won.
No, no, no, not yet.
Dang, it's up to me.
Come on, bones.
Think about where you used to go celebrate as a kid.
Think about the number of special occasions.
When I was a kid, we didn't have a lot.
But once a year we would save up and go to Red Lobster.
That's right.
And I would wait for those biscuits.
And sometimes I'd eat too many biscuits.
I don't even enjoy the rest of food because I'd be so full on biscuits.
For sure.
And I'd ask for biscuits to go home with.
They'd be like, we don't let biscuits go home.
But I'd be like, let me just get a couple biscuits.
Then give me a couple biscuits.
I'd take biscuits home.
That's good.
But I love a breadstick.
Like, adult me was at Olive Garden doing super salad.
Like, poor kid me was taken to the biscuits.
It's poor adult me with stupid salad and all unlimited.
Breadsticks, I would go for like $11.
It was full for 11 hours.
Oh, just think when that breadstick hits your mouth.
It is.
When it hits your mouth, it's different.
Same thing with the biscuit.
Yeah, but the biscuits's like in the back of the tongue field.
Yeah.
The biscuit's like a cannonball.
But if that breadstick gets cold, e.
Oh, yeah.
Forget if it gets hard.
Think about that.
Oh, just think of that biscuits get hard too.
Yeah, they get hard real quick.
Yeah, but there's still that cheddar.
I'm going to tell you it's 51 to 49 right now.
Come on, here we go.
Raymond, do you want to talk me into anything?
Biscuits just haven't been as popular as of lately.
It's maybe an old-timers-type food.
They've really have.
They've done away with them for the most part.
Okay.
I'm going with, and the winner will be, since I have the fifth vote.
I'm going to go with the...
Come on.
Biscuits.
Buh.
Buh.
Buh.
Yeah.
Bread Stakes
Moving through this round.
Yeah, we'll have 16 out things total.
Moving through this round will be the Olive Garden Bread Sticks.
But it was close to the right.
It was 5149.
No knockouts?
Love it both.
It was a decision.
Yeah, split decision.
A split decision.
But our winner is the Olive Garden Breadsticks.
Congratulations.
Wow.
All right.
Thank you guys.

what happened with your son
oh well he is getting too cool for me
he always will hold my hand
at home public whatever
so he's nine but he'll be 10
soon and we're running errands
and say hey buddy hold my hand
and he looked at me and said oh mom I'd rather not that's
embarrassing oh wow
I don't even know where he learned that
where does he learn oh mom I'd rather not
that's embarrassing
I was depressed
and learn it from me
I don't know you're looking at me
dang
I don't know where he's picking up
he's also
Maybe his older sister
She's never wanted to really hold my hand
Actually though you know what's funny about siblings
Is she was with me
And again I don't ever expect her to hold her hand
But she wants to get under his skin so bad
That the minute he says that she goes
Mom I'll hold your hand
And she I just remember that part of the story
Like she held my hand
But I was just more devastated by the fact that he didn't want to.
But, and I would think that it's special.
She wouldn't hold mine, but I knew she was just doing it because suddenly he didn't want to.
That's how kids work.
So he also said something the other day.
And I thought, where did you learn that?
I think I asked him something.
And his response was, how am I supposed to know?
And I was like, I know you're getting good at English, but what?
Where?
That's not an answer to me.
That's unacceptable.
answer. You don't ever respond to anybody
with, how am I supposed to know?
What did you tell him about the hand holding?
Well, I mean, I can't force him to hold my hand,
but I just said, oh, well, I didn't know I was such an
embarrassment to you. Eddie, your oldest son,
is he embarrassed of you? Big time.
He's 12? He's 12, and I love putting my arms around him,
you know, like come over here, a little guy, whatever.
Cannot do that anymore. He does a little move where he
just ducks his head under and he's out.
He won't do it, or he gets my hand says, don't do that.
And this is only in public
In the house
Like whatever
He's like yeah
What up dad
Well hang
The little ones
I mean I can totally do
I mean they're cool with everything right now
But I know that time's coming
At what age did your oldest go
I don't want to be all handy in public
I would say maybe three years ago
Two years ago
I think just school
Something about school
Whenever we're at school
I would go to the school to go
You know eat lunch with them whatever
And be like hey I'd sneak up behind him
Put my arm around it
He's like no uh-uh
Not here. You're not doing that.
What advice do you give Amy?
Just deal with it. It just happens.
It happens, Amy. It's so sad.
Deal with it. All right. That's another parenting advice segment.
Thank you.
What's going on this weekend?
I'm moving.
Oh, yeah. Are you going to be in-in this weekend?
Yes.
Nice.
The first night to sleep there is going to be Saturday night.
So kind of fun.
Yeah. I'm excited.
What about you?
I'm shooting this eye-heart.
Art Radio, Fourth of July Barbecue special that we're doing.
I don't know if I can announce the artist yet, but they're all playing in their own
backyard, but I'm shooting my part from my backyard.
So I do that tomorrow.
The opera is going to be fun this weekend because it's me, Clint Black, and Darius.
Nice.
So that's just going to be a great way to hear songs.
Yeah.
So that'll be good.
I don't really have plans for today, which is cool for the first time.
Maybe I'll probably get a little PlayStation 4.
Of course.
My girlfriend told me she goes, I finally get all the memes where girlfriends are like,
I can't get my boyfriend to stop playing Call a Duty or PS4 or NBA 2K20.
Because if I have a minute, that's what I'm doing.
I'm just trying to make my guy better.
I'm trying to make my, I've got two characters I'm building now.
One of them is Bobby Bones.
He plays for the Oklahoma City Thunder.
He's 6 foot 1, 170.
He's a shooting guard.
He's not a great outside shooter, but he's pretty good.
But then Billy Bones is his little cousin, who is 5'7, shoots lights out.
But it's hard for him to get shots out because he's so small.
But he's quick.
He's the smallest guy in the NBA.
So, little Billy Bones.
Those are my two characters.
I don't understand what you're talking about.
Oh, no, don't judge him.
It's cool.
I'm not judging.
I'm not judging.
I just don't understand how you, like.
Eddie hasn't played as many games as I have, so he's not as good as me yet.
Correct.
I'm getting there, though.
He's getting there, but we played a playground game against two other people.
You go to the playground in his virtual land, and Eddie and I play.
So why is your one player a better shooter than the other one?
Because you can build them.
You can make them that way.
Yeah, you pick the different attributes.
they get good at.
So he shoots more and the other guy passes more?
He can needle passers.
So you have enough time to create two characters?
Well, when I have time, I play with it.
I don't take three hour naps.
So about 30 minutes a day, I play PlayStation 4.
Eddie, you need to step up.
Eddie only has one guy.
I don't start until like 11 p.m.
And then I'm like, all right, I got to go to bed.
That's what I was saying.
Eddie's only talking about his one guy.
We played and we played two guys that are really good and we beat him.
Eddie and I did.
Hey, Bones.
They were probably kids, huh?
Not they're the real NBA players.
But they had high ratings, and Eddie and I got on the court and took him to school.
We got them, Amy.
Yeah. We were so proud of ourselves.
And then we rematched them, they beat just like 21-0.
The second time.
They got our game real quick.
That's all right.
It's all right.
It's all good.
You need better plays.
No, we won one.
We were good.
We should have retired.
We had a good technique.
You want to know what it was, Amy?
What?
I get the ball, pass it of the bones.
He scores.
Oh, Billy Bones?
Yeah, yeah.
Billy was like, I'm fire.
He's the shooter.
He's the shooter.
He's on fire.
All right.
All right.
Have a great weekend.
We'll see you Monday.
Bye, everybody.
