The Bobby Bones, post-show, pre-show. Amy and Lunchbox ran to the bathroom. So... Just doing me or what? Morgan No. 2 is sitting right there, rude. Dang.
Starting point is 00:03:37 She's like she's texting. She's on her phone. It's my job, you know, kind of. Just saying, what do you want to talk about, Mons? Well, we have a lot to talk about. Amy did... There's lunchbox. We'll stop talking now.
Starting point is 00:03:49 There's a... Can I call them a name? No, no call him his new nickname. Okay, not yet. All right. But later on the show, you'll see Lunchbox gets a new nickname that we hope everybody refers to him as... Oh.
Starting point is 00:03:57 I really hope it sticks. It's not going to stick, guys. Come on. Don't tell us that because we'll make it stick. Oh, yeah. Now it's a goal. This guy says if he gets 15,000 likes, he'll turn himself in. Did you guys see the story? He's a...
Starting point is 00:04:09 He's running from the law. Oh, he's a criminal. He's a fugitive. He's tired of running, man. He wants likes. Said it's stressful looking over your shoulder every day. At Connecticut Police Department says a fugitive has agreed to surrender if enough people respond to an online wanted poster on social media.
Starting point is 00:04:25 29-year-old Jose Sims, who's Believed to be somewhere in New York has seven arrest warrants and is being sought as a fugitive because he failed to show up for a court appearance. He says, they try to say, okay, 10,000. He goes, no, 15,000 likes. So that's where they are. No. He also suggested to me and knows where he is, let him know, but they're trying to get him 15,000 likes to turn himself in. Wow.
Starting point is 00:04:47 There's Amy's back. Have you guys ever been in that situation where, like, they're looking for someone and then you see them somewhere? No. I don't even, but I don't even retain the thought of. them looking for someone. Like if I'm, if I see, hey, we're like a, seven seconds later, it's not even existing in my mind. Can't even remember what did they look like. I don't even think about somebody out wrong. That's what amazes me whenever they find someone. They're like, yeah, I saw them the news and then I saw them at the pumping gas.
Starting point is 00:05:11 It's like America's Most Wanted. I used to watch it as a kid. I was like, man, I'm going to see one of those people one day. There's no way you're, they don't even look anything alike when they turn them in. Right. But I don't even remember. Right. If they're looking for anyone. Someone could go, hey, I was on TV last night. They were looking for me. Like, cool, what I'm looking for you for? I wouldn't know. Did you guys watch any of that live stuff last night, the Jeffersons or All in the Family? Oh, Jefferson's. Did you flip it on?
Starting point is 00:05:32 Yeah. Kind of fun, huh? Yeah. What are you all talking about? Last night, they live last night, they did an old episode of the Jeffersons and All in the Family. Jamie Fox played George Jefferson. Carrie Washington was in as a neighbor. Over on the, All in the Family, Woody Harrelson played.
Starting point is 00:05:49 Archie Bunker. Yeah, and Edith. It was good. What a great idea. And Jimmy Kimmel was the one behind it all, but they did it live like they've done. all those musicals. Yes. And it was pretty fun to watch.
Starting point is 00:06:00 Wow, I didn't see that. Yeah, and I rarely will put the TV on unless it's a live event. Oh, yeah, we just, my husband stumbled across it. He had had it. I was working on something in the kitchen. He put it on sports. And I was like, do we have to? What did you call him?
Starting point is 00:06:17 Yeah. You said. You said, you said, you called him a seward? No, I didn't. Is that normal? I don't know what you're talking about. Is that what you guys have heard of each other at? I said, like, can we put it on something other?
Starting point is 00:06:31 Like, oh, like, can we put it on something other than sports? And then that's when we landed on the live Jeffersons. This number keeps calling me. Answer it. You want me to? No, I always think it's one of those robocalls, so I just hang up on it. Let's see if it's a real one. Hello?
Starting point is 00:06:46 Who's calling? Oh, wow. Oh. I think she just. Yes. Sounds serious. I will be there. It sounds like he got something done.
Starting point is 00:06:58 I think so, yes. All right, bye-bye. We're here for your enlargement. What are you getting done? You're going to have an exam? No, so apparently we have life insurance stuff we have. Do you guys have that? You have sign up?
Starting point is 00:07:09 What? And I have an exam I have to go take for life insurance. Really? You're getting life insurance? No, it's on our insurance stuff. Life? You click the life? Yeah, I don't even have anybody to give it to, so it's where that lottery is still open.
Starting point is 00:07:20 But I have an exam tomorrow so they can clear me on it. Oh. And she was like. I don't know if we're supposed to do that. Huh? Are we supposed to, I don't know. But do you guys just see these numbers and just hang up on immediately? Absolutely.
Starting point is 00:07:30 I won't answer it. If it's a number, number, number, not a name? I don't answer it. And I didn't, but they called me right back. Yeah. So that's what that was. I'm trying to be healthy. Do you see the George Clooney stuff?
Starting point is 00:07:43 Like, he almost died in the motorcycle accident, but we knew he got in a motorcycle wreck, but we didn't know how serious it was. And he's not talking about that. Do you remember when he got in the wreck? Yeah, he got hit, right? He walked away from it. They say without any serious injuries,
Starting point is 00:07:57 but he thought he was going to die. I hit him at 70 miles an hour, so split my helmet in half and knocked me out of my shoes. You know, I mean, I was, it hit hard. Broke his windshield with my head. And I thought, okay, well, that's my neck. And so a million, if you get nine lives, I got all of them used up in one. So I can, like, go motorcycle riding for a while.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Isn't that crazy? That knocky out of your shoes is a thing, you know? Like, I remember just working in the news and seen, like, bad, like, pedestrian stuff. And you would see their shoes, like, way on the other side of the street. How does shoes come off your feet? That's how hard. That's how hard you hit. No, I mean, guys, I understand that.
Starting point is 00:08:33 What I'm saying? The shoes are like on. Like I absolutely understand that. Exactly. Like I couldn't pull your shoe off right now with my hand. Right. It would be hard. But if you got hit by a car, it's gone.
Starting point is 00:08:43 I think that they're maybe on loose, you know? No, no, no, no. I think they're all flip-lops. Let's be honest. Birkenstops. Stuff like that. Like I know. I get it.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Like I can't pull your shoe off right now with my hands. Crocs maybe. If they're laced up, I don't know. Oh my God. Are you guys the weakest people ever? Try it. No. If it's double-knotted, there's no chance you can pull them off.
Starting point is 00:09:06 I have all my game of Thrones White Walker's shoes. Who double-nots their shoes as adults? No, buddy. 12-year-olds. I double-knobbed my shoes every time you have. Every time. Yes, because it's so annoying when your shoe. You guys have a bellcrow too? Your shoes come untied.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Put your quarter in your room. Remember that? Not all of my shoes, but some of them I have to. They always come untied. A guy refuses to give his Louis Vuitton bag to a robber. Did you guys see this? Because it's like expensive. No, I said, you're not getting my bag.
Starting point is 00:09:34 And then he fired a second shot. He goes, to me, give me your bag. And I said, you're not getting my Louis Vuitton. I worked very hard for this. And it represents me. And it was just like, I wasn't about ready to relinquish my personal property. You can pry it out of my cold dead hands. Now he's going to plant out of the eight.
Starting point is 00:09:49 Wow. Wait, what? He risked his life for a bag. He worked really hard for it. Why, no. It's a freaking bag. Yeah, part with the bag. You can work harder for another.
Starting point is 00:10:02 Work harder. Like, or you're dead. You can be alive to work. Yeah. Like. I saw that today. It doesn't make sense to me. But funny story.
Starting point is 00:10:09 These parents forgot their newborn baby in a taxi on the way back from the hospital. Dang. Take it away. And what I hear is. What? No. No. Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:17 It's funny. That's where you guys have a mind. Yeah, no. They should never have a kid. My mind goes, who takes a taxi? Oh. That's what we're all so different. You're like an Uber.
Starting point is 00:10:26 I get an Uber. I'd be like taxis. Was in New York. And I'm like, I'm like, oh man, that sucks. Like, they're just new parents. They forgot. No, no, no, no, stop.
Starting point is 00:10:35 No. They were so excited. No. You can't be... They got out of the taxi to introduce their bundle of joy to his crib and actually forgot to take the bundle of joy with them. They took the baby's one-year-old sibling out of the car, paid the cab driver and said goodbye. But the taxi cab pulled away.
Starting point is 00:10:49 They got a strange feeling something was missing. Yeah. Honey, uh, uh, seems like we forgot. At least they didn't leave on top of the car. Go, buy it like a drink. Yeah. So anyway, they got it back. That's good.
Starting point is 00:11:01 You know what I thought was good to, Amy's the fact that you cleared your text messages. Thank you. Still sitting at zero. I inspired that. You did. 100%. You take all the credit. It just had gotten to the point where, yeah, if I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:11:14 So the notification there, it's there for a reason. That red circle is there to tell you if you have missed text messages. Well, mine had gotten so far out of control. I was going back to like early 2018. So, yeah, almost a year and a half ago. Some of the texts, but that's the thing. It was like sitting at 180 unread text. So if I missed a text, I wouldn't really know it.
Starting point is 00:11:35 But now I'm going to see. I'm going to look at the notification. It's going to say like an easy number, like one, two, or three. And I'm going to be like, oh, wow, whose text did I miss? And then I'll know and I'll never miss boxing with Bobby and Morgan number two again. I know. And we went and we worked. That's what started at all.
Starting point is 00:11:53 Because I was like, this is ridiculous because I should be able to keep up with and know if I have missed text. I can't leave you keep that many texts in her phone. And then she took a screenshot it and put on Instagram. And her email was like 1,342 emails. 2,000 cents. Why don't you just go Control A and delete everything? You can do that? Stop.
Starting point is 00:12:12 No. I'm doing it right now. I have emails on here from my mom. They must not be that afforded if you haven't opened them. No, I'm not open. You mean you control, delete my unopened? First of all, you can go to unopened and hit Control A and then boom, delete the whole. You can?
Starting point is 00:12:23 Really? I'll do that. I called Eddie yesterday. because I guess Amy we have a friend that does like a massage therapy and so gives the massage and my shoulders
Starting point is 00:12:38 in bad shape and so I guess Amy canceled her appointment yesterday so I took your spot nice because I haven't had it in a long time and this song is playing because what I do is I yell
Starting point is 00:12:49 hey Alexa play 90s alternative and that's all I listen to while I'm getting massage so this comes on this one Yeah that's it And I call Eddie and I sing, I'm like, Eddie, I can't place this song. And so I sing it back to him.
Starting point is 00:13:07 Like water. And Eddie's like in his Jeep with his top off. With my son. Oh, were you? Yeah, he's in the passenger seat. Do you know this song? Yeah. Live's biggest song?
Starting point is 00:13:21 Oh, I was going to say Lightning Crashes. Is it? Yeah. Amy. Remember this one? Oh, yeah. The Placenta song. It took Placenta out for radio, though.
Starting point is 00:13:32 Did they? They took what out? Placenta. Placenta out for radio. They did intentions both times. All those iPod songs ended up being, like, because I would say even one, two, that wasn't a hit on radio, but that was a, that was a pretty big hit because of the iPod commercials. How did you know that's Feist? I know a lot of useless stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I don't know that you do. Music, music stuff. You talked about, you know, you FaceTiming me about the song that you had in your head. And as soon as we hung up, my son was in the deep. And he goes, why did he just call you to ask you what that song was? I'm like, that son is what we do. I don't know. It's strange.
Starting point is 00:14:09 But like, we always have songs in their head like, hey, Bones, we can easily Google it. Yeah, but I was just like, let me push Eddie real quick. And then I know if I sang it. Otherwise, I have to like Google words. Yeah. Yeah. Hey, Bones, what's that song? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:21 Oh, man. That's it. Got it. That's what we do. And sometimes we'll do songs we can't figure out together. Like, what's the one that we laugh? It's like, huh. What?
Starting point is 00:14:34 It's like a Josh Turner or a Dariate. What is that song? I do. I do. Yeah, what's that one? Morgan Evans. It's Zach Brown. It's it?
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yeah. I do. I was thinking the Morgan Evans one. Remember the Sun 41 fight? Oh my gosh. We're still having settled that one. No, it's both songs. I'm in over my head.
Starting point is 00:14:55 Mike D. Who sings that song? Lit. Thank you so much, which was my guess. No, no, but Sun 41 also sings it. And it's not the same song. Okay, but all the question. was who sings over my head. That was the only question.
Starting point is 00:15:05 But when I say who sings I'm in over my head. He didn't do that. He's just who sings over my head. This is all we fight about. Amy, this argument goes back to like 2003. All right. Thank you. We are now going to get today's show started. Amy, anything you want to say? Today's Thursday. So I have a new podcast up. And Eddie's on it. He did so good.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Eddie did great. What did you guys talk about? Him being a foster dad. How him and his wife came about it, where they are now, just different resources people can use if they're, you know, researching it or they maybe they feel like there's highs and lows in it all. So we kind of talked about that, how it's not all like amazing. But just basically every kid deserves love, a loving home. What else you got over there?
Starting point is 00:15:48 I have a healthy journey like with food on with an interview and then another interview with continuing with this therapist about perception and comparison. Like we're often guilty of just. trying to compare others, but we should just love ourselves first. And then salt. Like, we're all consuming too much salt, and that could actually make you puffy and bloated. And if you just reduce your salt, boom, your clothes might fit better. So I give tips on that.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Yeah, that's salt and sugar, man. It's like a real thing. And you don't realize how the sodium sneaks up, especially if you're eating out. It sounds like fruit juices. That too. Eddie, in my, he did my intro with me because I do an intro and outro and then four things in between. And in the intro, Bobby, you came up.
Starting point is 00:16:30 And Eddie was like, I can't remember why, but something about you coming on to do a deep dive. That deep dive all the time. I'm living in a deep dive. I know. I care. It was about something specific, though. Yeah, what specific? And now I don't remember.
Starting point is 00:16:42 I guess people will have to go listen to find out. Including myself. I'm deep dived out, man. I know. Although I am happy. I was mentioning this off the air. Like, in the last year, I think I told you guys. And this is a big thanks before we go into the show.
Starting point is 00:16:58 Like, in the last year, especially in the last, like, six months. months or so, the show has grown so much ratings-wise. Like, I think they said 40%, which is pretty massive. If it's like 3%, they're like, hey, great, great. But 40% over the past year. So, yeah, the show's really killing it right now. And we're just very thankful that you guys listen and share and talk. And the podcasts, like most of our podcasts are growing like double digits.
Starting point is 00:17:22 And so, uh-oh, who's that? I have no idea. Answer it. I did. Oh, my gosh. Hello? I bet it's a robocalls. Hello?
Starting point is 00:17:34 Hello? Who is this? Speaker. What? I don't know. Ask, who are you? I don't know. They just hacked her whole database.
Starting point is 00:17:45 They're in now. Great. Now I've been infiltrated. Sounds like a Russian. Yeah. Do you with this? I must break you. If you die, you die.
Starting point is 00:17:54 Is Amy there? All right. We're rocking. We're rolling. Here is Thursday show. Thank you very much. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, nonprofit Christian University based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona.

Starting point is 00:22:14 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're translating across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. I'm here you. Turn it up.
Starting point is 00:22:26 Hey, welcome to the Thursday show. More studio. Morning. I laid in bed last night staring at the ceiling. And not because it was like even sad or anxious. I just can't stop thinking about going to Mexico for this wedding. We talked about it yesterday on the show. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Never been in Mexico. Never been to a destination wedding. But one of my dear friends decided to get married in Mexico. Which I don't think he would plan a whole wedding down there if it was going to, you know, put anybody in. Do it now. Paso? danger. It's close to Mexico.
Starting point is 00:22:57 Yeah. Same vibe? Yeah. Still protected by the U.S.? Yeah, all these things. There are lots of places. Yeah. I think the goal is, it's on the water.
Starting point is 00:23:06 It's like in the Oates really big. Go to Padre. Go to 38. 38. Gulf Shores. Let's do both. Yes. Anyway, after we go to Mexico
Starting point is 00:23:16 for this wedding, it's freaking me out a little bit, and we were talking not only just go to Mexico, but you have to land in this. Do you know where we're landing? with tower landing in I forget But you're not far Listen, if you do go
Starting point is 00:23:29 Then it's an hour drive You've got to go take that little Little trek to Pablo Escobar's house Because it's there I'm not going anywhere It's close to Tolum Escobarian No, why would you want to go there?
Starting point is 00:23:40 I'm done A lot of people do Because you can take your picture A lot of people get to head chopped off Well I was reading this story Cell phone theft is so common in Mexico Oh great That people are buying fake cell phones
Starting point is 00:23:51 just so thieves will steal them. Wow. Because... So you have the fake cell phone sort of out and about and your real one hidden? Armed robberies have gotten so common in Mexico City.
Starting point is 00:24:02 Am I flying in Mexico City? No. No, you're not. Am I connecting in Mexico City? I don't think so. Double check. That commuters have come up with a clever solution.
Starting point is 00:24:13 Many of you're buying fake cell phones to hand over to thieves when they get robbed. Just don't take your phone for the trip. You got to be kidding me. I'm not... No, I'm done. It's the thought.
Starting point is 00:24:21 I'm 8% thinking about not going. But 8%. Yeah, 92 still going. But 92 still going. But 8% I'm thinking about not going. Because I ain't... It's still a high percentage of you going. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:36 I don't know, man. That's what I was just staring at the ceiling. So now, I mean, you have to find a date and you have to find a date willing to go to Mexico with you. Yeah. Also, you need to be able to handle the situation and come across as like not weak. Let me tell you what happened.
Starting point is 00:24:49 Somebody comes up to us, and it's just me and her. her if I even have a due date date. It's not about being the fed. It's just about running the person, the slowest person. You wouldn't do the Tim McGraw and don't take the girl? I'd be like, please take the girl. The opposite.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah. Don't take my phone. Don't take my wallet. Don't take my credit cards. Oh, no. But here's this girl that I brought here with me. I haven't known her long. Take every girl in the world.
Starting point is 00:25:24 But please Just take this girl. All right. I'm going to play Kelsey Ballerini. Wow, the dates are lining up. Yeah. I know. Wouldn't you?
Starting point is 00:25:37 When you hear this and go, I got to get with them. It's so romantic. It's so hot. I mean, now any girl that you take, she may have to consider the real-life scenario that if something were to go down, how would...
Starting point is 00:25:49 Like, my husband... I would shove her into them. And then run. Here's the Bobby Bones show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Here's the scenario. Remember yesterday when we had Matt from St. Louis on? Do you remember what happened when Matt from? That was yesterday, right?
Starting point is 00:26:05 I think so, yeah. Oh, yeah, he lost. He got smoked. But what was on the line was meet and greet with you. He didn't even want your money out of your wallet. He wanted to come to Eddie and my music comedy show in St. Louis. Mike, Matt. Hey, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:26:20 How are you today? You're feeling okay 24 hours later. Has all the embarrassment, has it slowly seeped out of your body? It was a rough night. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. See, you can't even talk about you.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Oh, I know. He's so humiliated. He can't even talk. Yeah, words escape me. I want to be honest with you. I sat at home last night, and you think I just go home and forget about this place. No. Oh, yeah, you probably know.
Starting point is 00:26:44 You know I don't. I sit and focus only about this thing. Matt, I thought about you last night, bud. I'll be honest with you, and I felt bad. and I wanted to give you one more shot to win, but not for win Bobby's money, okay? Because let's be honest. I don't know how bright a guy you are.
Starting point is 00:26:59 You ain't going to beat me at that game. I think you're the goat. Yeah. I don't know that I'm the greatest of all time, but I do have a couple things working in my favor. I am in my own element. I'm sitting here where I sit all the time and I get to answer trivia.
Starting point is 00:27:11 Even if we're equal, I have an advantage because you're on a phone talking on a radio show and that's an odd thing to do. I, on the other hand, I'm sitting in the spot that I sit for five, six hours every day. And I'm good, and you're probably good, too. But that being said, I am going to let you play a game. Now, it's tough.
Starting point is 00:27:28 We're going to do the one-hit wonder game again. Oh! Where I'll play a one-hit wonder and you just tell me who... Working for the artist? Now, Matt, you can pick, of the three players, the person to represent you. Now, the reason I'm not going to let you play is because there could be some sort of audio thing where it doesn't go through the phone properly. You know, we're looking for songs to the phone.
Starting point is 00:27:49 I don't want that to happen and be a technical issue. So you can pick, I'll tell you what, you can even throw Morgan number two in there if you want. So you can pick, first of all, Amy, hi Amy. Hi, Amy. Who is. Amy. Yeah, I mean, I don't, pressure. I don't do the best under pressure, but I do care about you getting to meet Bobby and Eddie.
Starting point is 00:28:10 Boom. And I'll give them tickets. Yes. You actually win a prize. And going to see them. Because you know what, if you've never gotten to see them before, it's pretty amazing. And this is special because it's like just them. comedy and music.
Starting point is 00:28:23 I know. Hold on, let me go out of the room here. Lunchbox can play for you. He's pretty good. Yeah, people call me a musical genius. I don't like the title, but I do accept the title. And when music games and pressures on the line, guess who comes through?
Starting point is 00:28:35 Me. The reluctant savior. Eddie's over there. Yeah, and Matt, somebody's lying to you. Lunchbox is not the music genius. Dude, I know everything about music. I mean, not everything, but. Or Morgan number two.
Starting point is 00:28:45 I would say, don't choose me. I am terrible. I never win games. I know better. Do not choose me. If you pick the right person and they win, you win tickets to see the raging idiots in concert and we'll meet you.
Starting point is 00:28:59 But if you don't, I can't give you the prize, but I'm bringing you on again to take a second shot. Matt, think about it for just about 10 seconds. He probably needs one second to think about it. Yeah, he's already picking me guys. Wait, why are you guys hating? No, he's picking me. It's obvious.
Starting point is 00:29:13 If he wants to win, he should pick Eddie. What is your attitude? Matt, go ahead. Pick your player? I love you all. but yep I'm going to have to go with Amy I'm going to have to go with Eddie Oh wait so that makes sense
Starting point is 00:29:24 He's agreeing with me I'm agreeing with Amy Okay so man I hope I win so bad So I can just throw it in this guy's Man good let's go What did you do to you? Let's go He didn't pick me
Starting point is 00:29:34 He doubted me That's what he did So now I'm really focused Let's go Man I hope you lose Morgan number two You're gonna set this one out Because he didn't pick you
Starting point is 00:29:41 That's fun Amy lunchbox Eddie I will play a one hit wonder Just name the artist Come on the gate firing With our name Or write it
Starting point is 00:29:49 Write it down. Matt is apparently breathing real hard to his phone right now. Oh, he's nervous now. He's nervous. Matt, you're good. By the way, the St. Louis show is sold out, too. There are no more tickets. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:30:00 Yeah, minor detail. Yeah, okay. Ready. Matt, I'm going to put you on hold. I'm going to check back with you during the game to see how you're feeling, okay? Okay, here we go. That's the only way he can hear the song if I put him on hold. Ready.
Starting point is 00:30:14 Yep. We're looking for the artist of these one-hit wonders and song number one. Temporary studio Glitch, sorry Sorry I'm in for the win We get the gist I know
Starting point is 00:30:32 We're in a room That's even our real studio We're basically in the tent There you go Lunch is excited Breakfast at Tiffany's Give me a point Amy, you go?
Starting point is 00:30:48 Yep Amy just wrote down The Cure I just watched her write it down Amy, I hate to say that... What is your answer? Thank you. No, sorry.
Starting point is 00:31:00 That's not right. No, anything. Eddie. Deep blue something. Deep blue something. Oh my gosh. Like something. Something.
Starting point is 00:31:06 Show me deep blue something. Yeah! Lunchbox. Come on, guys. Deep blue something. Oh, my gosh. How did you know that? That's an easy one.
Starting point is 00:31:15 Okay. All right. That's a hit. Number two. Name the singer of this one-hit wonder. There we go. Sorry, my mouth. You guys, I'm...
Starting point is 00:31:26 It's frozen. There we go, I got. I'm too sexy. I'm too sexy. I'm in for the win. I'm in. Oh, my God. Eddie's struggling right now.
Starting point is 00:31:36 Wow. I'm in for the win. Amy just wrote down the cure. That was last night. Singer. Oh, shoot. Eddie, are you going to let lunchbox get ahead of you? Oh my gosh.
Starting point is 00:31:53 I hope not. Amy. Right, said Fred. Right, said Fred is. Correct. Boom. Eddie. Jimmy.
Starting point is 00:32:00 What? Jimmy, like, eat world. Jimmy. It's all I wrote. Just Jimmy. Oh, no. Oh, no. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Shout out Aaron's dad. Tom used to play this in the old Astrovan. Right said, Fritz. Okay. Let's go check in with Matt. What is happening? Hey, Matt, you know you're down one right now. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:22 Yeah. Sorry, Matt. I'm sorry, Matt. I'm working. I'm working. Matt, what do you do for a living? I'm in international logistics. Oh, that sounds really...
Starting point is 00:32:32 Me too. What is that even? Oh, that sounds smart. Shipping and stuff all over the world. Logistics, guys. Imports, exports. The small stuff. Yeah, containers probably.
Starting point is 00:32:42 Okay, ready for this one? Yep. Can you name the singer of this artist, the artist, of this one-hit wonder? Closing time. Dang. I'm in bones. Eddie can tie it up. Not him.
Starting point is 00:33:03 Take me home. Closing time. Time to close. It's a time. Five seconds. Closing time. That's not right. Dang it.
Starting point is 00:33:23 Matt, do you know closing time? Who sings it? Yeah. Yeah, you don't either. Okay. I'm off my pedestal. I'm not as cocky anymore because I didn't get it. I'm in for the wind.
Starting point is 00:33:35 Let's go. Let's start with you. What do you have? It's wrong. I put Edwin McCain. No. I know. Amy?
Starting point is 00:33:42 The windbreakers. It's a good band, man. Not even a band. But cool, though. I like that. How do you know? Google them. The windbreak.
Starting point is 00:33:50 That's funny. That's awesome, Amy. Eddie, to tie it back up. I put semisonic. Semisonic. No, that's wrong. The answer is simiconic. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Yeah. Okay, good job, Eddie. Good job. All right, Maddie. So the win, breakers are a band. Thank you. Name one of their hits. Excuse me?
Starting point is 00:34:11 There are no hits. It's getting cold outside. I block the wind. I can't leave the house without you. Not too much win, but just right. Smashes like. All right, all right. We have two left, and it's a tie.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Matt, you're back in the game, buddy. Dang. Awesome. Okay, here we go. This one-hit wonder is... You're beautiful. You're beautiful. Why do you sound like a horse?
Starting point is 00:34:37 Mike didn't miss dread. Oh, shoot. What is... You'll be your face in a crowded place. This is so like 2006 or five or something? So, 2000. I don't know what to do. I'll never be with you.
Starting point is 00:34:59 I'm in for the win. Okay, let's go over to Amy. Can I give the year? Amy goes with the sweatpants. Oh, I'm sorry. That's incorrect. What do you have over there? 2005.
Starting point is 00:35:12 That's your answer? Brian, 2005. Brian. No, Brian 2005. It's the whole thing. I remember listening to it when I drove. Chance the rapper, Brian 2005. I'm cruising.
Starting point is 00:35:24 Like, no, when I hear that song, I'm in my little white jet. Andre 2000? Driving down the highway. I have James Blunt. That's it. Is it? I want to give a shout out to my wife. We're on a walk the other day.
Starting point is 00:35:35 And I was talking about how beautiful it is out. and she started singing this song and it was by James Blunt. Oh, yeah. Is this the last question? No way. That was, yeah, that was on sudden. Oh, man, Matt, I come on. Give me one I know, let's go.
Starting point is 00:35:52 We are now at sudden death and you've been eliminated. But I can't play for fun. No. All right. I'll write it now. Come on, Eddie. So dumb. No, Matt, you calm down over there.
Starting point is 00:36:02 Well, he does want to win. Wait, why would you want to take this away from Matt? Because he doubted me. I told him pick me. and he said, I'm not picking you. So, okay, fine. Eddie. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Are you cheer of ready? Yes, because I'm cheering for Matt. Write your answer down. Here we go. Okay. Or Mike. Oh, I know this. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:36:24 You do know it, Amy? Yes. I'm in for the win. 100%. I know, but if I know it, Eddie should know it and I'm trying to channel it to him. Let's go. Let's go.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Let's go. Lunchbox has jumped out of a seat. You better get it, Eddie. I'm not 100%. Oh, my God. Eddie. Eddie. Are you in?
Starting point is 00:36:39 I'm in. I'm in. I'm in. Look into my eyes. I'm going to give you a context clue. Are you pretending right now that you don't know it or do you know it? Okay. Because you don't know it.
Starting point is 00:36:48 He doesn't know it. He doesn't know. What that is? Yeah. That's the pretender. Yeah. Get off me. Get off me.
Starting point is 00:36:56 Oh yeah. Oh, I got that right. Get that ding. Get that ding. Here we go. Yeah. Come down. Come down.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Oh, my gosh. Yeah. It's okay. Show me the pretenders. What? It's not it? No. Really?
Starting point is 00:37:14 He got it wrong. Oh my gosh. For the win. I thought he was right, guys. No. I did the replacements. It's not the pretend. You know, please, answer just for fun.
Starting point is 00:37:23 It's the proclaimers. Yes. Oh, my gosh. Yes. The Proclamers. I'm not kidding. I thought you were right. And then are you trying to throw a little pun in there when you were like, are you
Starting point is 00:37:31 pretending? No, that's what I said. Context clue. Yeah, but you're so wrong. Oh my gosh. This is the great. day of my life. What else we got bones? I mean, let, I so
Starting point is 00:37:42 thought, remember when we did a lip-dub to that? Yes, that's why I thought I had it. Okay, everybody calmed down. Matt. It was very popular on YouTube. Matt, you're still in it, buddy. I don't know if I can come back from now. I gotta find my pen. Oh my gosh. You threw everything. I threw everything. I threw my chair. I can't. You choked. You had to be honest
Starting point is 00:38:00 of that. I choked. Guys, it choked. It was the proclamers. I had it too. You were so close. That's like a classic. My papers. Yeah, because you knew it. You even said it afterwards. That's one of the biggest chokes we've ever seen on the show. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:38:14 He celebrated it. He knew it. He threw it in your face. I went to the pun off. He punded it. Oh, my gosh. Wow. That's terrible.
Starting point is 00:38:23 Let's calm back down. Let's focus. Get back in the game. Matt's trying to win. If Lunchbox wins, he keeps the prize for Matt. If Eddie wins, Matt gets the prize. I may go home. Lunchbox just kicked his chair.
Starting point is 00:38:32 I cannot believe I didn't. I screwed that up. Set a pun. Then missed it. Oh, man. Trying to stay together here. One hit wonder. So dumb.
Starting point is 00:38:43 Be quiet. Everybody constantly. Okay, here we go. Are we ready? Oh, come on. Are you going to be my girl? I don't know this one. Matt's going to the rage and idiots.
Starting point is 00:38:55 You got it? Yeah, yeah, yeah, I got it. And then one, two, three, you get to have had a hell of me because they look so fine and I really want to make it burn. Come on, look. I don't know this one. Dang. I really want to make you mind. Four by six, come on and get your kids.
Starting point is 00:39:13 So you don't need a money. I'm not. I'm not. Yeah, I'm thinking about it, this one. If anything, lean on the windbreakers. That's always a great thing. Man. Yeah, they're good.
Starting point is 00:39:27 I have no, I don't think I've ever heard that song. Oh, yes, you have. Stop it. 100% you have. Hey, pretend that you do. I want to do a pun off, but I don't want to jigs myself. Oh, can you with the, if you know, I don't know it. Do it what?
Starting point is 00:39:40 Does it work? You know what, Eddie? Maybe this weekend you'll be leaving. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Think about that, lunchbox. You'll be what? Wait. You have five seconds.
Starting point is 00:39:48 You'll be leaving on something. Five, four, three, two. Yep. All right. Launchbox, what do you have? Beck. Oh, he's close. Dude, that was real close.
Starting point is 00:39:59 Just because the one syllable thing. Except for that one would be one hit because they have that song, Loser Baby. He's got a lot of things. And it's not called Loser Baby. His name is Beck. I'm a loser. No, he's just going.
Starting point is 00:40:09 a loser. No, I am a loser. That's what I'm saying. I'm a loser. Matt, Matt, this is for you, Matt. I'm so mad. I wrote down, Jet. Are you going to be my girl?
Starting point is 00:40:20 Matt had you. You're welcome, Matt. Oh, that's awesome. You know, man. I spent a lot of time thinking about Matt last night. I wanted to give him another chance. Starting point is 00:44:34 Lunchbox's 20-year high school reunions coming up. That make you feel old? Yeah. Real old. Yeah. I mean, because when I was a kid, someone in their 30s was old. And now I'm 37 years old. About to be 38, huh?
Starting point is 00:44:50 Yeah. July? July, a couple months. So his whole thing has been he wants to show up in style. So he called to try to rent a Lamborghini, too expensive. Thousands of dollars. Thousands of dollars. Just to rent one for a day.
Starting point is 00:45:02 So then he goes, what was the other car you wanted? Tesla. And so then that kind of came and went, except then he got a tweet. I got a tweet from a celebrity. Okay. Brooklyn Decker. Yeah. Our friend.
Starting point is 00:45:16 Brooklyn Decker said she has a Tesla in Austin where my high school reunion is, and I can use her Tesla. Yeah. So, listen, guys, this is a win-win. Because, listen, I'm going to show up in a Tesla, and people are going to be amazed. and they're going to be like, oh, is that your Tesla? No, it's my friend. Brooklyn, you know, Brooklyn Decker? Yeah, that Brooklyn Decker.
Starting point is 00:45:41 Oh, I think we should weigh this, though, because I don't know which is cooler. Yeah. That you're borrowing a car from Brooklyn. Good point. Or that it's your Tesla. You can't say Brooklyn. Oh.
Starting point is 00:45:51 I mean, no, no, this is a good debate here. It actually is kind of cool if he's borrowing a car from Brooklyn. But it's also really cool. If it's your Tesla. Oh, we got to vote on this one. Oh. So, does he? You have to be completely honest about it?
Starting point is 00:46:04 Well, he's not honest about anything. So can he say that he bought it from Brooklyn? Oh. Oh. Well, but anybody can buy anything from anybody. Okay. Brooklyn's so nice, you might be like, okay, lunchbox, give me a dollar. You can have it.
Starting point is 00:46:18 You can have it. You bought it from me. So, okay, backstory, Andy Roddick's one of my best friends. He's married to Brooklyn Decker. We're friends with all of them. We're all close. That being said, Brooklyn's at lunchbox. You can borrow the Tesla.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Now, which is cooler, though, that he's driving a test... For lunchbox. That he's driving a Tesla and just gets to say, I'm driving a Tesla, or that he's borrowing Brooklyn Decker, actress, supermodel. Supermodel. Her car. Entrepreneur. Yes.
Starting point is 00:46:49 Absolutely. I mean, that is so impressive, though. Okay. I'll be able to name drop at the thing. That sounds like that's the way that you want to go. Well, no, no, no. I didn't even think about just saying I own the Tesla how, but being able to say, I'm friends with a celebrity, like a bigger celebrity than I am.
Starting point is 00:47:04 Like that sounds bringing, oh yeah, Brooke, oh yeah, we go way back. We're just friends. I mean, I don't know. Me. Around the room. I call it Brooke. Yeah. Around the room, Amy, which is cooler?
Starting point is 00:47:13 I think for lunchbox, it is definitely cooler if he rolls up in a Tesla that he borrowed from his friend, Brooklyn Decker. Huh. For him. I think, I think it is. It's like a double. Like he's in a Tesla. Some people won't.
Starting point is 00:47:29 But some people won't even have a conversation. conversation with about him. They'll just assume it's his, so boom. And then other people are going to be impressed like, oh, wow. Wow. You're friends with Burkling that car. I feel like he will love that. Okay. I'm going to go on the opposite side of that. Okay. I think you just roll up in it. You don't say you borrowed it. Because then it's like, why are you borrowing a car? You're trying to impress somebody? Right. Like, I don't care who your friend is. And I think... Of course he's trying to impress me. Yeah, but they don't know that. Yeah, they don't know that. Oh, they don't know that. I thought they knew lunchbox. I think he just
Starting point is 00:48:01 roll up into Tesla. And just act like I own the place. And just, you don't say it's Brooklyn's car. And what do you say? You tell them, leave that up front. Yeah. And I put a name tag on it. Much is Tesla.
Starting point is 00:48:11 You don't put a name tag on it. I have a good idea. What? So how do these work? Are they all electric? So you got to charge it completely? They're quiet, though. You have to charge it at home, but it'll run for a week.
Starting point is 00:48:20 Is there any way he can drain the battery and then parking in front? And he's like, guys, guys, I ran out of charge on my Tesla. Like, can you guys, anybody spot me a jump? A jump, a power? Well, that's embarrassing. And then if they don't, it's stuck there. And you have to kill it. I just thought it would draw attention if he's just, I need power for my Tesla.
Starting point is 00:48:41 I didn't plan ahead, my bad, you know? I thought I brought my other Tesla. Oh, yeah. The other one's strong. Something. So what side are you leaning to? I'm with you, bones. I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:48:55 I think you need to, like, Brooklyn's awesome and super famous. but I think you have in your own Tesla is bigger and cooler. I think so too. Mike D, who writes a lot of the games here on the show. What do you think about this, Mike D? I think the name drop. Oh, wow, we're two to two now. You see a bunch of Tesla's around, but you borrow one from the celebrity?
Starting point is 00:49:13 That's awesome. Yeah. It's the borrow, though. Yeah, it's the bar. Yeah, but if we're lying here, Bobby, you make a good point. He could be like, I had to borrow one from my friend Berkling Decker because my Tesla's in the shop. Oh, now he's like telling lies.
Starting point is 00:49:26 I mean, why don't I just say you bought up Justin Bieber then? Bring it a live. Let's just go and just lie all the way. Justin Bieber, I mean, doesn't. Ariana lent me her car. Yeah, exactly. You know, Ariana Grande. Hey, Morgan number two, we're at two to two.
Starting point is 00:49:38 Which do you think's cooler? I definitely think he should name drop. Wow. Yes. Wow. Name drop. Hey, Mundo, for the final vote. I honestly think you have to bring in Brooklyn Decker and just say, hey, I was at her house.
Starting point is 00:49:51 I grabbed the Tesla, I'm borrowing it. And they're like, what? This is awesome. Who are you? Okay. There you have it. Was she serious about giving it to? I mean, we can call her later.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Yes, she was serious. She was dead serious. Yeah, I feel like she's dead serious, but we should check. Okay, we'll call her later. Yeah! And see if she's serious. I mean, the tweet, when you tweet something, it's a contract. That's not true.
Starting point is 00:50:13 That's a written contract. There's nothing about your statement right there that is at all accurate. Like, there couldn't be a less true thing than what he just said. But, okay, we'll try to call Brooklyn Decker later. Oh, man, I can't wait. Okay, there it is. So the name drop is the way you're going to go. That's it.
Starting point is 00:50:29 Okay. We voted. Everybody good? Yep. Selim Dion's coming to town. Would you go to that show? I would. I've heard from friends that she is like one of the most amazing concerts they've ever been to.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Yeah, me too. They went to the Vegas show. Same. So, I mean, I don't know if I'm sure it would be similar. So, I mean, I'm not like the biggest Celine Dion fan, but I'm down for a moment to get moved. Maybe. I was reading a story about her this morning? where Celine Dion has revealed
Starting point is 00:50:59 she has 10,000 pair of shoes that what? She has a warehouse in Las Vegas that has all of these 10,000 pair of shoes. How many shoes do you think you own? 3,000, 5,000.
Starting point is 00:51:13 I've heard 10,000. Maybe. I didn't want to say it. Yeah. Wow. And so she has to have somebody go like this is what I'm doing, these are the options that I want and they bring back like, you know,
Starting point is 00:51:25 20 or 30 pair of shoes and then she goes through them based on... That's crazy. Amy bought me a pair of shoes for my birthday, and I haven't said this on the air yet, but Amy, I'm so uncomfortable with them, I can't even put them on my feet. You haven't worn them yet?
Starting point is 00:51:39 Mm-mm. Because they're... Like if you even tried them on? No. Oh, wow. They're so nice. And I love tennis shoes. How many pairs of shoes do you own?
Starting point is 00:51:48 10,001? Because I've heard. I have a lot of tennis shoes. I'm a shoe gab, obviously nothing like this, But, yeah, 10,000 pair of shoes, which is, you don't even, you can't wear all of them, right? No way. There's no way. You can't even know what you have.
Starting point is 00:52:05 Like, you see, speaking of singers, Halsey, you know who Halsey is, right? Yes. What song does she sing? Well. My kids told this one, she goes, weir, weir, weir. Yes. Also, this one? You know this one?
Starting point is 00:52:24 Not as well. So, this fan gets, is online, and she's like, hey, I got to spend. speeding ticket listening to this song, Nightmare. And so she said, hey, give me your Venmo online, and she paid their speeding ticket. Oh, that's funny. Driving home from Penn State, he got pulled over, giving a ticket for the first time ever. When asked why I was going 99 and the 70, I admitted I was banging to Halsey's new song, Nightmare, which is this one. I'm surprised if it was only $250, though, but then Halsey sent her $250, which I thought was pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:52:57 Love it. Because people get pulled over listening to our show all the time, and we just laugh. We don't send them anything. Sometimes the cops will let them off, though, if they're also a listener. Yeah. Yeah. Which is always amazing when they're like, oh, I guess we had a recent call. She's like, sorry, I was listening to the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:53:12 And he's like, me too. And so she gave him a ticket. It's a lot of fun. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So a woman was driving through some flooded roads in Oklahoma, and her truck got stuck on a street. And some good Samaritans were like, okay, we're going to help you out.
Starting point is 00:53:32 Like, we can do this. which is just nice people driving by doing their own thing. Well, then one of the rescuers got stuck, but then the Deer Creek Fire Department, they showed up in their military-grade vehicle, went right into the flooded street, helped everyone. It was a very dramatic rescue, but a big thank you to residents, local crews,
Starting point is 00:53:50 everybody working together, everyone's safe and sound. For the time lunchbox his roommate saved David Robinson? Or the Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan. Okay. Yeah, he was on top. There was a flooded car, and he's on the roof, and he looks in and he goes,
Starting point is 00:54:03 Oh my God, that's Tim Duncan. Tim Duncan, both played for the Spurs, but Tim Duncan most recently. And lunchbox's roommate was a firefighter. And what did he drive? Like a black SUV? Yeah, an SUV and got stuck on a road. And my roommate was one of the, he's on the special rescue crew, like the high water dangerous rescues. And so he went in on top of the vehicle, looks in.
Starting point is 00:54:23 And he said he pulled his head out and thought to himself, man, that's Tim Duncan. Then look back in. They had to play cool. That's good. Shout out to everybody. All the first responders, people out there making a different. Appreciate that. Amy, thanks for that story. That was Tell Me Something Good.

Starting point is 00:58:23 This story comes with us from Cleveland Heights, Ohio. A 31-year-old man called in a piece. pizza order. He wanted a pepperoni pizza delivered to his house. Pizza shows up, has no pepperoni on it. So he calls the manager and says, I will be there in five minutes. You better be ready. He walks in there with a gun
Starting point is 00:58:40 and says, why was there no pepperoni on my pizza? And I should come back there and kill you, but I don't want to get in trouble. Wait, wait, that's how it works. Buddy, you're already in trouble. That's not quite how the system works. And then what happened? He left. He got in trouble. Yeah, and they arrested
Starting point is 00:58:58 him they had his address and his name from the online order. He could have done that without the gun and not got in trouble. But he didn't want to get in trouble so he took a gun. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Hello, Ashley in Florida. Hey, is this Bobby?
Starting point is 00:59:31 It is. What's happening? Hey, Bobby. This is Ashley again. Just saying that, you know, I want you to keep your head up. I've been in that situation feeling like nobody wants me. You will find someone. You're a great guy. I love your show.
Starting point is 00:59:47 I got to tell you, Ashley, I never really thought nobody wanted me until you just said that to me. Now maybe nobody's got to like that's going on. Like that just went to like a whole other level of like nobody. And I like how she's like, it's Ashley again. Hi. Hey. Ashley, have you called. I have felt rejected and I've dealt with a lot of medical issues that make me not so much the person that people would.
Starting point is 01:00:09 look at and want from my point of view, but everybody tells me, oh, you're a great catch, you know, but then on the inside, you don't feel that way. So. What did she say again to hurt my feeling so bad? She, too, has been in a place where nobody wants to you. Where I felt like nobody wanted me, yes. Yeah, and that's a key word, felt, because that could be the story you're telling yourself in your head that's a lie.
Starting point is 01:00:33 Right, and, you know, you're saying that this girl ghosted you, and you have such good humor and you have such high spirits and you know I try to keep all those positive moments in my life too and you know when you put positive out positive comes back and she just wasn't the one well I never thought she was the one
Starting point is 01:00:51 I was just like my friend tried to hook us up and then we didn't even have a chance to show I was a goober. She never she never even let me show why I'm unlovable you should let her know that you haven't even given me the chance to show you let me disappoint you
Starting point is 01:01:07 with you myself. Well, listen, Ashley. You said again, Ashley, have you called before? No, I've never called. I listen every day, and I just think that you're an awesome person and that you're a great cat.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Now I'm confused. Why'd you say, hey, it's Ashley again? Because I just was messing up my words. Sorry. Yeah, because we were all looking around like. Usually we're like... I've never called a radio show, so...
Starting point is 01:01:34 Well, listen, we love that you did. We love that you did. Now listen, I feel about 19% worse than I did before you call, but I still appreciate that you called. Oh, no, then I didn't know what I wanted. I just wanted to say that, you know, get your spirits up because you were just down and on yourself and, you know, talking about being ghosted. And it's just, you know, I don't want you to feel like people are just, you said something about hardening yourself. That's, I think, what it really struck me was that you feel like you have a shell because you've been hit so many times. What big old callous?
Starting point is 01:02:05 It's just keep getting back up Over my heart and my midsection Got a big callus My midsection literally I have an oastomy bag Oh well mine's like I'm talking about like below my waist Yeah oh I know
Starting point is 01:02:19 Yeah yeah Okay Hey listen Ashley Thank you for calling Appreciate you and you know I just gotta suck it up Move on to the next right Right
Starting point is 01:02:29 All right The Bobby Bone show What do you have over there So a bride got mad at her bridesmaid for cutting her hair before the wedding. Like two weeks before the wedding. I guess she had hair that was like to the middle of her back, really
Starting point is 01:02:42 long, beautiful hair. And the only thing the bride had told the bridesmaids was, hey, I want y'all to keep your hair like natural color, like don't dye anything crazy before the wedding because I don't want to clash with the colors that we're wearing. So she thought, well, okay, that's fine if I want to donate my hair. How short?
Starting point is 01:02:58 She went to like shoulder length. She was able to donate 14 inches of hair. And when she debuted the new haircut to the bride to be. I mean, she had a change of heart and was like, oh my goodness, why would you do this before my wedding? Like, you've ruined the day.
Starting point is 01:03:13 Did she ask you to get out of the picture? Oh, she said to get extensions or you're out of the wedding. Wow. It sounds like a lot. Like a lot. Let me just say this, though. And this isn't that pixie cut situation
Starting point is 01:03:24 we had a couple weeks ago. This is like shoulder link. I'm in no way defending this nutty bride. However, if you are to be in a really big picture for someone, and there's an expected look and you can hold out for another two weeks. Why would you not?
Starting point is 01:03:40 The bride is not right, by the way. But I'm just going to go, because I told the story once about Morgan number one. She dyed her hair really blonde right before we did a photo shoot for a whole show. Her hair's not blonde anymore. And I was like, why would you go drastic right before a photo shoot?
Starting point is 01:03:56 Just wait like two weeks. I'm not on the bride. Yeah, I'm kind of on the bride's side. I know. I don't get that. I don't get that. Unless there was a reason she had to do it. You kind of,
Starting point is 01:04:07 it's a responsibility to you to look in a big picture for someone. I feel like such idiot saying this, but I do believe that. Like there's a responsibility you take being in the bridal party and a part of that picture.
Starting point is 01:04:19 Oh, my gosh. Detail. Update. Okay. Not only was it just, no. Is that just come in? Did someone just hand it in breaking news? Hold on.
Starting point is 01:04:26 They're speaking in my ear. Breaking news. Go ahead. No, no, no, no. That's just in. Go ahead. No, I forgot this minor. She's not just a bride's mate.
Starting point is 01:04:33 It's her sister. She kicked her sister out of the wedding. It makes me feel more right. Because the sister, you even know how crazy your sister is. Oh, you've known her your whole life. You've known her your whole life. You know how nutty your sister is. Yeah, but now you're not going to have your own sister in your wedding because your sister's donated hair.
Starting point is 01:04:49 It'll come back. It'll all be fine in the end. Okay. But if you know the tree has nuts on it, don't shake it. Is that a thing? It is now. Like I know, Amy, when you're having your time. Why am I the example?
Starting point is 01:05:01 Well, because this is an analogy. Trust me, I have to worry about your tree sometimes, too. Shaking your nuts. Well, you don't shake any of the other than over here. No time I'm shaking my nuts. No, I don't be shaking nuts. We were talking about the tree. All I'm saying is if you know someone super sensitive about something,
Starting point is 01:05:17 give them a second on that. I'm on the team bride, but just barely. She could have waited two weeks to cut her hair. That's all I'm saying. Okay, I'm on Team sister. Cut your hair if you want to. I agree, but after the picture. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:29 You go to Facebook, and you can add your opinion on this. Just go to bobbybones.com. Click our Facebook page, and there you have it. You get it with that? I guess so, yeah. It's a Bobby Bones show. I have a list of the most quoted movie quotes of all time. Like, your friends probably just saying this, and you're like, oh, I know that movie.
Starting point is 01:05:47 They're in no particular order, but these are movies that people quote the most. Okay? Do you play a clip or say it myself? Whatever. Say it. Yeah, which would you rather me do? Probably say it. Yeah, like you're acting.
Starting point is 01:06:01 Okay, I can do that. Yeah, your acting's better. Write your answer down. Here we go. May the Force be with you. What movie is that from? Is that the best way you can do it? Okay, Spelling B.
Starting point is 01:06:18 May the Force be with you. Do you know a movie that is? I'm in for the win. Amy? Star Trek. Star Trek? Lunchbox? I put Star Wars. Star Wars?
Starting point is 01:06:30 Eddie? Star Wars. May the Force be with you. That is Star Wars. Yeah. Star something. No. Yeah, one of those dorky ones.
Starting point is 01:06:38 Is it a star search? All right, ready? Your mom goes to college, and I can't do it exactly like the impression because you'll know the movie if I do the impression. So I'm doing it as me. What? I feel like you kind of did it.
Starting point is 01:06:53 I did a little bit. I'm in. Your mom goes to college. Okay. Step brothers? Lunchbox? Napoleon Dynamite. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:07:04 Old school. Your mom goes to college. Napoleon. Dynamite. Oh. Who got that? Lunchbox. I'm really good at this.
Starting point is 01:07:12 How about this one? Yeah. There's no place like home. I'm in for the win. I'm in. Amy? Wizard of Oz. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 01:07:24 Wizard of Oz. Eddie? The Wizard of Oz. There's no place like home. Good. How about this one? My precious. Again, I'm not fully committing to the character because I'll give it away.
Starting point is 01:07:37 Unless you guys want me to fully commit to the character. I mean, I'd like you to fully commit because I don't know what in the world you said. My precious. My precious. That was you committing? No. I think I got it. You were going to play as a clip, so I feel like you should fully commit if you're going to voice it.
Starting point is 01:07:52 My precious. That's pretty good. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, my precious. Oh, man. Is that good or no? It's pretty good.
Starting point is 01:08:07 Yeah. I've never heard that in my life. I'm in the wind. Amy? Snow White. Good guess. Now Eddie's taunting you Lunchbox
Starting point is 01:08:15 I just guess Zoolander I have no idea I'm not Eddie The Hobbit You're on the right track It's Lord of the Rings Isn't that part of the Hobbit Yeah but it's not the same
Starting point is 01:08:24 Yeah that's okay Okay Alright now lunchbox three Eddie two Amy one With a couple more to go How about this one You had me at hello I'm in

Starting point is 01:08:55 Jerry McGuire. Eddie? Jerry McGuire. You had me at hello. You had me at hello? I am. I think that got me chills. Let's do one more.
Starting point is 01:09:04 Chills? Yeah. It did? Yeah, I did. Weird. Okay, how about this? Just keep swimming. Last one.
Starting point is 01:09:12 Just keep swimming. Oh. I can do it in character if you want. No. What? Just keep swimming just keep saying I'm in for the win oh gosh this is a tough one dude If lunchbox gets it you wins what score? Lunchbox is up by one oh man lunchbox you're on hold on hold on hold on the tip of my tongue yeah I have no idea
Starting point is 01:09:37 I've never look it could be two and I just guessed Amy answer the fish sorry incorrect lunchbox for the for sure win if you get Get this. Ellen's the fish. Go ahead. Oh, I mean, the only thing I guessed was free willy. Oh. Because of a fish.
Starting point is 01:09:55 I don't know. Eddie. 50% chance. Finding. Yes, that's it. And it could either be Nemo or Dory, but I went Nemo. Finding Nemo. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:06 Yeah. Okay, Ty. Here we go. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Just keep swimming. Swimming. Swimming.
Starting point is 01:10:12 Love it. We have time. How many people quote that one? Me all time every day. Just keep swimming. When I walk out of the studio, I'm like, Just keep swimming. All right, one more.
Starting point is 01:10:23 Tiebreaker. Write your answer down. Here we go. I'm going to make them an offer of you. Just played the clip. That's very helpful. Oh. I'm going to make them an offer of a game.
Starting point is 01:10:37 And, Amy, you've been eliminated. Oh, I can't play anymore. Fine. That one I actually know. Lunchbox, you know that one? It's between two. I'm in. It's between one.
Starting point is 01:10:48 Nope, it's between two. I'm in for the win. have Scarface. He says Scarface. Eddie. What was your other guess? Godfather. Yeah, that's what I have.
Starting point is 01:10:55 The Godfather. The Godfather. The Godfather. This guy's dominating the games over here. Come on, Ed. Yeah, baby. Come on here, say.
Starting point is 01:11:22 Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da. Come on, lunch. Why don't you ever sing? He just buries his head in his computer. No, guys, I'm not going to celebrate someone else winning. Why? It's not a big deal. It's fun.
Starting point is 01:11:44 It's fun. No, you didn't lose a scholarship. All the time. You bet I'd be like, all I do is win. I got a question. Do you guys ever watch sports? Do the other team start jumping up and now when the other team wins? No.
Starting point is 01:11:56 This is a sport. This is a sport. No, this is competition and you don't celebrate. This is like, yeah. When someone else is named the Valle Dictorian, do you celebrate? No. Excuse me? The Valley Dictorian.
Starting point is 01:12:06 Excuse me? The Valley Dictorian. You know what? I've been to. Is he saying Valley Dic? Hold on. Excuse me? Valle Dictorian.
Starting point is 01:12:16 That's what it's called. Because I used to say Valley Victorian. and everybody said that was wrong. It's a dictatorian. Valley Dictorian. I was never in the running, but I didn't celebrate when so-and-so was named Valley Dictorian. Spell it, please. V-A-L-D-I-C-T-O-R-I-A-N, V-A-N, V-E-L-D-T-T-O-R-A-N.
Starting point is 01:12:36 Where's the VAL-E if it's V-A-L-D-T-R-R-E. It's a valid-Dictorian. What are you called the second person? Saludatorian. That's right. Yeah. Nailed that. I wasn't that either.
Starting point is 01:12:47 You weren't the salutatorian, you weren't the. Balladictorian. That's how you're right. Amen, brother. Keep on trucking. The way you're saying it is like V-A-L-L-L-E-Y-D-I. Oh, man. Hey, listen, regardless.
Starting point is 01:13:05 C-T. Amy. What's coming up in the pile over there? C-T-T. Okay, go ahead. I'm going to Google how to spell this thing. Go ahead. Valedictorian. That's it.
Starting point is 01:13:15 That's how you say it. That's what I just said, valedictorian. Valedictorian. You just changed it all. I just said that. No, you did. What have I been saying? Valedictorian.
Starting point is 01:13:23 You've been saying Valle Dictorian. Like in a valley. Like in a valley. Are you sure? What's it called? Valleatorium. Okay. Whatever.

Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care. Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live,
Starting point is 01:16:45 then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple, nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speed. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis. That's get sunday.com. Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:17:20 So this is so cute. There's a kindergarten cop in Michigan that's slowing traffic down on his street. Literally kindergarten cop. He's six years old. He has an old Halloween costume. And he was really upset about the people driving fast down his street. So he went and put on his old police costume. And he stands outside asking people to slow down.
Starting point is 01:17:40 Good for him. Isn't that so cute? His dad took a picture and sent it to the police department nearby. And when the kid heard that they saw it and lied. and they were proud of him, he was, like, grinning from ear to ear. Reminds me of your son. Yeah. Because your son wants to be a cop.
Starting point is 01:17:54 And every time he's a cop, my favorite your son's story is you guys are walking. And a cop had pulled a car over and giving them a traffic ticket. Amy's son just loves cough so much. He goes up during the cop's traffic. On his scooter. On his scooter, he's like, hello, Mr. Cop. He's like, can I get in your car? That's so funny.
Starting point is 01:18:10 Right, yeah. He didn't realize the cop was busy giving a ticket. So, yeah, super cute. And obviously, this kid wants to grow up and be a police man. I love it. So Chevy has introduced teen driver mode in their new vehicles. Like coming this summer, if you've got a teenager that's turning 16 and you get one of the cars that they offer this on, like a Malibu and some other models, there's a little button on the key fob. And you press it and it'll prevent the car from shifting out of park for 20 seconds if a passenger hasn't buckled up their seatbelt.
Starting point is 01:18:42 Oh, good. Or it'll even send them an alert as a reminder, like remember to buckle up. There's addition to that, you can control the volume on the car radio and stuff. So, yeah, you're not 16 and free anymore. I don't know. I just hear that. I feel like the Russians are going to hack it somehow. Oh, it could also limit the car's maximum speed.
Starting point is 01:19:05 Oh, that's cool. And the parents will get a text warning or whatever if the kids go faster than the speed limit. How cool is that? Johnny, speed up. Hold on. Let me call mom. Okay, we'll raise the limit. What do you have?
Starting point is 01:19:18 And this is the story I just think is so cool. Sesame Street has added a new character who's in foster care. The character's name is Carly, and she's a little girl, and she's going to help teach kids about what it's like to live with her, like, for now, parents. And it's just another part of the TV show that's helping parents and caregivers introduce, like, difficult issues. Hey, that's cool. Eddie has two foster kids and two kids of his own. How's all that going? It's going well.
Starting point is 01:19:43 It's going really well. I mean, we're still kind of, we're in it, you know, and we're getting back. better at it. And so we're just enjoying it day by day. And how long are they going to be with you? I think right now we probably have about four or five months left. Ooh, it's going to be so hard when they have to go. I know. We try not to think about that moment. But, you know, it's inevitable. We've taught my wife and I have talked about it, but we try not to bring it up too often because we don't want that. Do you guys still talk about maybe adopting them? We always say, we'll just cross that bridge when we get there.
Starting point is 01:20:14 I know, I know, I know. Do you feel like that's more of what you? say? Like, did your wife bring it up and then you say, let's cost that. No, my wife knows not to bring it up. But when it does come up, I just kind of say, well, you know, we're just doing what we're doing now. Let's focus on the present and not the future. Okay, well, not to turn it into an us thing, but you have to leave and go on tour because
Starting point is 01:20:33 we're going to go on tour with the raging idiots. What does she think about that when you're gone for weekends? So we're practicing that now, you know, just kind of giving them a little space and, like, are you good with four kids, you know, and she's able to handle it. So you practice is going to do fun things? disappear on Saturday. He's like, baby, I'm going to go practice. I'm going to go out of time by myself for a couple of days.
Starting point is 01:20:51 Fire drill. I'll go play golf for like four hours and she was like, it wasn't bad. It was good. Like, I was able to handle everything. So, all right. This is amazing. I don't know that that would work on people. So I need to practice being away.
Starting point is 01:21:04 Because if it really wouldn't work, I mean, I don't know how we'd do it. Yeah, you would need to figure it out. Yeah, I just hire another Hispanic fellow to come up. Name him, Eddie. Look just like me. Yeah, put him in a green suit. It's good. Good.
Starting point is 01:21:16 By the way, if you want to come see The Raging Idiots, we will be on tour starting later this summer. Denver, Chicago, you're up first. Just go over to Raging Idiots.com. Amy, is that your pile? Yeah, but maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:21:31 Tell me something good. Haley and Hannah are sisters in North Carolina, 13 years old and 11 years old, and they found out about kids that have debt at school. You know, the school lunch debt? And they're like, Mom, we got to help these kids out. They set up a lemonade stand and sold lemonade day after day after day. And they raised $3,500 to pay off the school debt for all the kids. Look at that.
Starting point is 01:21:56 They went out and didn't work for that. That's really cool. I wish, and we've talked about this before, I wish there was a way to know what schools needed what money for lunch debt. Yeah. Like there was some consistent way to find out who needed what. Because I do think more people would help if they knew. I'm not creating a system.
Starting point is 01:22:15 I don't know how to work. I can't get my internet to connect to my house half the time. You know what I do? My internet wouldn't connect last night at home. And I'm like, I'd call it. I need a new modem. That's all I do over and over again.
Starting point is 01:22:26 I just have to bring me a new modem all the time. It's not the modem's fault. Maybe that's my computers because it's older now. Maybe it's user error. Maybe I'm just an idiot. Yeah, maybe. But my point is I can't make that app. So if someone else could let us know what schools needed help,
Starting point is 01:22:40 that would be great. All right, lunchbox. Thank you, good story. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 30 Second Skinny. Blake Shelton says he doesn't want to release albums anymore. He says he's not putting out one this year for sure,
Starting point is 01:22:56 and he's really just having a blast releasing singles. Yeah, he said that he didn't feel like albums or his thing or most people's thing anymore. And he's right. Albums aren't most people's thing. There will always be a space for albums, for artists who want to make them. I believe that albums will, for the most part, be concept albums now. reason I'm putting out an album and here's the story from A to Z. The days of just releasing a collection of songs are kind of over because you can do it, but we're not going to listen
Starting point is 01:23:27 to all of them. We don't have the patience to sit and go, wonder what track nine's going to be like, you know, on the new Jimmy Allen record. So as long as like, say there's 12 songs, one through 12, like tells a story. And you want to, you want to get, it's like you want to watch the whole movie. You want to listen to the whole. Or it's about something specific. That's my theory on what albums are turning into. They need to be about a concept or just give us songs. I love albums and I don't even like albums anymore. Like I love entire albums for my favorite people. But if somebody I just kind of like puts out an album, I'm like, let me scroll through real quick and see what the first seven seconds feels like and if I don't like it next song.
Starting point is 01:24:04 And I'm such a music nerd and snob, but Blake's right, especially if he doesn't have an idea for an album. Now if he goes, hey, I want to write a whole album on the sloth I have in my farm, I shouldn't. Then that's up to him. All right. What else, Morgan, number two? Pink surprised her Madison Square Garden crowd with Chris Stapleton. He came out to perform their song, Love Me Anyway. Which, by the way, is the jam. Which, by the way, too, and this is just the real version. This show and our listeners should take credit for this song being kind of a single,
Starting point is 01:24:34 because it was never anything released from the record as far as getting played. And our listeners downloaded and streamed it so much. I think it's now going to be a thing. So not a shout out to us, but a shout out to our listeners. who have, we have the most powerful listeners in any format ever in history of the world or other worlds or planets ever. Ooh. Yeah. Yeah. Sometimes people be like, oh, look at Bobby.
Starting point is 01:25:03 Look at all this power. Nope. All the listeners. And that's the reason that song is really, the song's wonderful, but it's the reason the song is now having a shot to like be a single. What else? Kit Moore's next album is done. He tweeted, that's a rap. Record number four is done.
Starting point is 01:25:17 So we can be expecting some new Kit Moore music soon. He's an album guy. Yes, he's a deep guy Kip is an album guy He will write a record and go Well man, this song This song track number one This is when I woke up
Starting point is 01:25:29 Track 2 is when I have my coffee He's an album guy And I like Kiff a lot And yeah He's definitely an artist's artist Is that it Morgan number 2 Yep, Morgan number 2 That's the skinny
Starting point is 01:25:41 There you have it Folks it's your buddy and my Mr. Bobby Bones Is the Bobby Bonds A couple things Tomorrow our Friday morning conversation is with this fella right here.
Starting point is 01:26:00 The Friday morning conversation with John Party. And not only will it be John, but it'll be his dad too. His dad's going to come up with him. Cool. Who we know. The weird thing is, Amy, in our history, Eddie and myself of being a comedy band, some really wonderful artists have opened for us, including John Party. That's right.
Starting point is 01:26:18 Isn't that crazy? And the last time John Party opened for us, he brought his dad, John Sr. Which is nutty. Yeah. Over the years, we've had a lot of really, really two good people. open for us. Yeah. No, it is funny if you really sit back
Starting point is 01:26:33 and think about it because it's like, hmm. By the way, you want to come to a show, Denver, Chicago, go to Ragingididates.com. It is now time for the investigative corny where Morgan, no, Amy gives us a joke, right? And then we have figured it out. Yeah. Morgan, I'm going to choose to the skinny.
Starting point is 01:26:49 Sorry. We have 90 seconds. The other time already, Mike. Okay. Come on, man. You got this, guys. Did we get the last one right? No.
Starting point is 01:26:59 We did not. Oh, we did it? It was the worm. Yeah, it was the soil mates. All right, that's a terrible. Bad joke. Y'all, we're so close to getting it. Don't even.
Starting point is 01:27:10 Amy will give us the corny joke. We have 90 seconds to figure it out. The timer ends when she finishes her joke. Don't hit it quick, Mike. You don't have a quick trigger. Here we go. Three, two. The morning corny.
Starting point is 01:27:24 What do you call two guys hanging on a window? Two guys hanging on a window. be pain, pain, pain, pain, uh, hang in pain, hang in pain, hang in pain. You called two guys, yeah, two, uh, two, two guys, hanging from, two pains. Oh, double pain. Swingers, no, uh, Mike, what's time? 30 seconds. Last or on?
Starting point is 01:28:01 On. On. Okay. Well, same is all in a minute. No, 90 seconds. Namy's not messing with our time. Shh. Two guys hanging from window.
Starting point is 01:28:08 I think it's. Swinging. Swinging. Two pains? That makes no sense. T-pane? Two pains? No, two chains is the joke.
Starting point is 01:28:19 Like, two chains is the joke. Two chains. Yeah. Gosh. Not hanging from a window. How about? Washer. Window washer.
Starting point is 01:28:27 Two. Double, double pain. Double glass. Glass two. Glass two. Two. Two. What do you call two guys hanging on a window? It's got to be a name. It's got to be a name. I know. It's got to be. Like, Payne. Payne Stewart. No. Two guys. Pain Stewart, dude. Two guys. Man or twin. Twin. Double, double, double. Double. Double pain. There's pain in this. Dose. One person and another person hanging on a window. Twin. Twin winds. Twin Wenders. Wayne and Dane. Now Eddie's getting there.
Starting point is 01:29:03 It's over. Man, I wish y'all had more time. I feel like y'all would get it. 30 more seconds. No, that's not how it works. Amy. Yeah, I know. Legal would come after me if I gave it to you.
Starting point is 01:29:12 True. You gave us a prize, they would. Yeah. Answer? What do you call two guys hanging on a window? What do you call two guys hanging on a window? Kurt and Rod. Curt and Rod. Curt and Rod.
Starting point is 01:29:25 Oh, Curt and Rod. Curtin rod, yeah, makes sense. I was thinking of like a building, like a window washer. Yeah. I don't know what I was thinking. It's hard when your brain goes the wrong direction. And I started thinking of two chains. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:35 We got lost in two chains. Two pain. Man, I don't know any guys named Kurt either. I do. Yeah, Kurt Engel. That's the name. Kurt Russell. Yeah, a lot of Kurt.
Starting point is 01:29:44 All right, there you go. Kurt from my high school, shout out. Of course. Oh, yeah, there's like three in the world. Kirk Cobain. Oh, yeah. Kurt Cobain, big one. Kurt Shillan.
Starting point is 01:29:53 Kurt Cameron. Oh, yeah. Wow. Starting point is 01:33:35 That's get sunday.com. I sent Dirk Spentley a text message just now. Here he is. He's on. Hey, man, good morning. Hey, good morning. What's up? Hey, did you go to the grocery store and forget your wallet and then get up to the front of the
Starting point is 01:33:51 grocery store and be like, oh no, I don't have any money? That's happened before, but not recently. Lunchbox said he saw you at the grocery store. It was a couple months ago, and I forgot. Oh, you didn't want to tell us? No, I didn't want to tell about it because I didn't want to embarrass Dirk's, and I didn't want people to know where he shopped, so I was trying to keep it on the download like, oh, they're going to start going looking for Dirk's where he's shopping,
Starting point is 01:34:11 so I let a little bit of time pass. You know, maybe Dirk's got his financials in shape. Oh, Dirk's, were you a little, and so I didn't want to call him out. Great point. Are you a little low right now? It was a little on cash that day, and lunchbox, he kind of came to the rescue. I thought he already told him that story. No, we had no idea.
Starting point is 01:34:30 Sometimes. It happened to me a few times now, actually. I get there. One time I had to lean on Thomas Redd for some late night. I was making a late night run to get some drinks to the house, and he just happened to be a Kroger as well. I was at Kohl food, and I saw lunchbox. I was at Kroger and I saw Thomas Red, and both times I got bailed out.
Starting point is 01:34:48 But yeah, sometimes I just leave the house and totally forget. to bring the wallace. Let me ask you this question. How much was he kidding? I know. What's Dirk's his grocery look like? Well, no, no. Dirk's was going to do some cooking with his daughter,
Starting point is 01:35:00 so he was trying to teach her how to make a home-cooked meal, and it was a father-daughter bonding moment. So she gave him the list, and he went and got it, so he wasn't like a full grocery list, but it was at least two bags worth. And then he gets up and has no money. Yeah, and he looks across and he goes, hey, lunch. And then the lady goes, it's this much,
Starting point is 01:35:16 and he looks at me and he goes, pat's both back pockets, and he goes, I don't have my wallet. Lunch Rocks he would not give him the money. He made me play that 90s game with another contest in the market. Luckily I won, though.
Starting point is 01:35:29 And he loaned me some money. Dirk Spenley's on. But you're okay? You mean float you alone? Like, I'm doing okay. The Idol's over. I've been off the road for a little bit. I'm headed back out this weekend.
Starting point is 01:35:40 So I start putting some money back to the bank account. So I'm going to be okay. Everything else going to go to life? See. See, looking out after me. Life's good, man. It's the last day of school today. So, you know, Amy and Eddie can probably relate to it.
Starting point is 01:35:55 It's kind of a crazy day to go from the school to the no school thing. And I go on the road tomorrow. So it's like a little bit of a transition. But yeah, man, life is awesome. Your living video is really good with your son. So fun. I mean, all the videos I've shot, that's like the easiest, most fun video of all time. We just basically went to like every fun thing that he wanted to do
Starting point is 01:36:18 within like 20 minutes of the house and made a video. It was like the third video for that record. And, you know, I was on the road and they're throwing ideas I mean to make for a video. And I'm just like, I don't really want to do anything right now. And then that video idea came up, my buddy Wes Edwards, and I was like, yeah, that's a good video. It's like a chance to hang with Knox and also do some work. So it turned out pretty good. What are you up to?
Starting point is 01:36:41 I'm back home. Everything? Yeah, but I'm good. Like, I just finished everything. Is party coming in today? Tomorrow, him and his dad, him and John Sr. coming in. That's going to be hilarious. I was listening to you all talk about that.
Starting point is 01:36:52 Bobby Summer just started too. Yeah, my summer. I felt like my summer just, I took a nap yesterday. Oh, good. Good, good for you. You're out of school and not doing any extracurriculars. All right. All right.
Starting point is 01:37:03 Listen, go about your morning. Listen, if you are hard up, you know how to reach me off the air, all right? If you need, I'm good. I'm good, okay? You're doing good. If I had to reach out for anybody, I think you'd be the first guy to reach out. I don't need to be the first, but if you need, like, some lettuce. I'll make you my second.
Starting point is 01:37:19 I'll reach out to Luke Bryan first. I think he's doing pretty good. And I'll come over to you. All right, Dirk, see you, buddy. Thank you. Thanks, and thanks, lunch. You're welcome. There he is.
Starting point is 01:37:28 That's funny. It gets good to hold the story. Like, I hold stories all the time for a bit. That's a long time. Yeah. And I was like, because Dirk's is always awake. And he'll text me during the show. And I was like, let's text Ders.
Starting point is 01:37:38 And so he just doesn't have any money. He's there and it's like, crap, forgot my money. Yeah, he just, I mean, he touched both back pockets, and he goes, I don't have my wallet. Do you think they would let Darks get through, though, and go, you're Darks Bentley. It's the cashier, yeah, we trust you. Wait, Eddie? Or come back and pay. Yeah, come back, yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 01:37:56 Well, I don't think they give to him for free. Right, okay, so, yeah, they would totally trust him. I owe you. He gets to write it out, I.0.0.u. Right. Tom Hanks was denied beer at stagecoach, and he tried to bribe them with, Toy Story 4 tickets. That's funny.
Starting point is 01:38:14 Tom Hanks says that the staff of stage coach wouldn't serve him beer because he did not have a bracelet proving he was 21 years old. Oh, stop. Yes. And he even tried to bribe them with tickets to get to the premiere of Toy Story 4. That's funny. Well, I wanted to have a beer. And there were four ladies who were serving up, and I stood up, and I said, pull me a draw.
Starting point is 01:38:32 And they said, we can't because your ID has not been verified. They did not cave. No. I was offering them tickets to. You will come to the Toy Story premiere with me. Just go like that with the Red Solo Cup underneath and let me walk away. He's 62. He got his bracelet and they wouldn't budge though.
Starting point is 01:38:55 And good for them. I'm going to go over and talk to Jane and St. Louis. Hey, Jane, what's happening? Hi, Bobby. Thank you for calling. What's on your mind? Hang on one second. I just wanted to call in and say, I am from St. Louis.
Starting point is 01:39:09 I listen to the show all the time, and you guys have some amazing games. but that one by far was the best game that you guys have had. Well, you know, when lunchbox left the room, they start calling him chokebox instead of lunchbox. Oh, that's funny. That is the best thing I've heard all day. I know, because he had the game. I know, I know. Chokebox.
Starting point is 01:39:29 Yeah, they do that behind my back. Don't do it in my face. Who did it? I miss that. No, well, we're doing it now, though. Like, we're saying it now so it's not really behind your. Yeah. So if people now are calling it, are going to be like, hi, Amy.
Starting point is 01:39:41 Hi, Eddie. Hi, chokebox. I have a bad feeling about this. Well, we'll end that real quick. I hope that as you're driving to work, you feel like you're just listening to a bunch of friends. Because if you're new to our show, I'm the only one that's ever works on radio. I just hired all my friends, and hopefully that comes across on the radio, you know? Yes, it definitely does.
Starting point is 01:40:03 I feel like I'm in the room all the time. I was screaming at Eddie. It's Jet. It's the last one. I felt like he could hear me even though I know he couldn't. I heard her. Thank you. Well, the winner was Eddie.
Starting point is 01:40:12 Wait, why didn't she yell for me? What would you have yelled for lunchbox? She yelled pretenders. I was written for lunchbox to go down because he's so sassy, but, you know. I just wanted Matt to win. St. Louis people got to stick together, you know? What's lunchbox's his name again? I forget.
Starting point is 01:40:26 What's the name? Chokebox. Yes. All right. Hey, have a good day, Jane. Thank you for calling. You too. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:40:34 All right. Come in out. Tell me something. Are you going to change your. What? Go ahead. His like, Instagram and Twitter handled a radio chokebox. I do it.
Starting point is 01:40:42 Do it for the day. Do it for the day. I'm here you guys. I mean, coming from last place over there. I'm fine with it. I'm glad that he won. Wow. Wow, wow, wow, wow, wow.
Starting point is 01:40:54 Okay. On top of a chokie, all covered in sand. What? Lunchbox just made an obscene gesture. Who? Oh, Choblox. He think he's upset. Wait, he flip you off?
Starting point is 01:41:06 Eddie. I'm trying to take a picture. He thinks it's funny, so I'll give you a picture. All right. All right. Choke in the name of love. Just choking. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:41:22 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This guy named Frank moved to New York when he was 15 years old. He got a job working as a janitor at NYU University's, I guess NYU's, Langon Tish Hospital because he needs to help support his family at 15. Now he's 29 and he graduated with a nursing degree from the same college that he used to work at as a janitor. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:41:47 Over the years, he became interested in the medical field because of the job that he found. And then he became a patient transporter. He just finished his bachelor's degree at Hunter College, becoming the first in his family to graduate from college. And then, after working with the nurses at NYU, you wanted to become one of them. So he applied at NYU Rory Myers College and graduated with 3.6 GPA. Wow. So full circle, man. That's good.
Starting point is 01:42:09 A lot of work in that, too. So nice job to Frank Baez. At 15 is the janitor. At 29 is now a part of where it used to be cleaning up. I thought that's pretty neat. That was Tell Me Something Good. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:42:36 Valerie in Massachusetts, what's happening? Oh, hi. Is this Bobby? It is. What's going on? Hi. Morning studio. Morning.
Starting point is 01:42:46 Oh, my gosh. So I really wanted to call because, Because, so the other day, you guys were talking about Mike and his weight loss. Yeah, Mike D's lost, what, 120 pounds? Yeah. 120 pounds, yeah. And he did it just about walking and eating right. Right.
Starting point is 01:43:02 And I, so I wanted to call and just let you guys know that, and Mike D know, that he has been a huge inspiration to me. I have lost 70 pounds now. Wow. And it really started with Mike D. because he, ever since he shared his before and after pictures on Instagram, and I found that out, I was like, oh my God, Mike D did this. I can do this. So I really just worked at it and I changed my eating habits.
Starting point is 01:43:35 I exercise and I have lost 70 pounds. Come on. Come on. Kim, headphones on. Can you hear her? Mike D. Yeah. So Mike D, I really just want to thank you.
Starting point is 01:43:46 Mike D is a. He writes all the games on the show. He basically helps me run the show a little bit. And years ago, you saw a picture of you and Adam Crolla? Yeah, and I was like, I can't believe that's me in that. And I wanted to change the way I looked. Lost 120 pounds. And now he has a style about him, too.
Starting point is 01:44:03 Very much so. Now he's like punk rock, goth. Right? You don't like being called goth. I don't. I think more like hipster. All black. It's more than hipster.
Starting point is 01:44:13 All black. Oh, I was saying in the mix. Punk rock. Oh. Yeah, more like punk goth. Yeah. I'll take it. What would you say everybody's style is around the room?
Starting point is 01:44:24 Mike D. He's like, you know, he's like, I'd say nerdie punk. Nerdy punk. I'll go with that. Oh, nerdy punk. That's good. Nerdy punk. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:44:32 Let's go to Amy. What's Amy? Right now I have on Birkenstocks with socks. Okay, okay. So. I would say this. But that's only because it's cold. I would say that you are, your style would be.
Starting point is 01:44:47 housewife What? Like cute mom Wow Yeah Yeah But I've only Yeah because it doesn't matter
Starting point is 01:44:57 You A lot of your You mom it up sometimes What does that mean? Like a high-waisted jeans Yeah But you're also like a cool mom Yeah
Starting point is 01:45:09 But I would say like cute mom That would be your style Yeah not a sweatpants mom Like not like I'm in a hurry all the time Like no stylish mom cute mom that's what we're calling
Starting point is 01:45:19 your style cute mom style thanks Mike D you are nerdy punk what would you say I am what's my style nerdy oh geez
Starting point is 01:45:27 he's you think he's nerdy yeah the glasses make automatically nerdy oh go ahead Amy go ahead but I mean he always has like
Starting point is 01:45:35 you're like athlete leisure like you always have cool sweatshers Athleisure athlete I like because he wears like the tennis shoes
Starting point is 01:45:44 with like sporty sweatpants pants but that are cool. He could totally wear it to a meeting. So he's like Justin Bieber, but 39. It's on Peter Pan. Okay. Yeah, stylish.
Starting point is 01:45:56 Peter Pan Athlete. What style? I know, I'm hard. What's the name of the style? I'm having trouble with your style because it's very, I'm sort of envious of it to tell you the truth. I would say my style is sporty spice. Oh, how about nerdy tight? I would say like a comfortably nerdy cool.
Starting point is 01:46:15 Yeah. Okay. Yeah. There you nailed it. Eddie's would be... Dad. Nice, thanks guys. Straight up bad.
Starting point is 01:46:25 Wow. Okay. Like, just gave up on life. But when raging idiots or performing and he wears his cute little hat, he instantly gets way cooler. Yeah. Right?
Starting point is 01:46:35 Yeah. Bones is in the green. No, for sure. It's okay. Yeah, the hat works. But, like, even all that outfit have to make him wear. Like, because I design our uniforms. And he really means has to make me wear.
Starting point is 01:46:46 Yeah, it's just like, these are our clothes wear them. You guys see me putting them on every. I'm like, I put this dumb tie sweater. Yeah. And then lunchboxes is for whatever, it's free. He's like a carpenter. You know, like they wear clothes that they don't really care about to go work. But he's not working.
Starting point is 01:47:01 But he's not working. I am at work. His pants have the little loop to stick the hammer in. So he's basically like carpenter. He's a carpenter. He's a carpenter without the tools. I don't have pants that have a loop. I have pants that have the seam down the front, but don't put the hammer loop.
Starting point is 01:47:15 That is just inappropriate. Oh, well, what happened to that? That was like 15 years ago, but I got the pair with the seam down the front that I bought for $10 from Gap Outlet and Sam Marcus, and they're 17 years old. Valerie? Well, there you got it. Congratulations. You lost 70 pounds. That's really cool.
Starting point is 01:47:31 Thank you very much. Can I tell you one more thing? Absolutely. Well, I am one of your biggest fans up here in Worcester, Massachusetts, and I go to everything, reeking idiots, and Bobby Bones. and I have, you know, a pack of friends, Tina, Jacinta, Molly that go with me to everything. But we were at your recent show up in Boston on St. Patrick's Day. So cool. And so we were there for your live, you were doing your live recording.
Starting point is 01:48:03 Yeah. Yes, yes. So my favorite is Hobby Lobby Bobby. Oh, yeah? So I absolutely love that one. But I do have a question for you. When if, if, I'm not sure if you're going to, but when are you going to release as a single, Man in the Mirror Ball?
Starting point is 01:48:21 Oh, it is. It's on the record. I know it's on the record. Are you going to release it as a single? Well, here's a problem, right? We did, Eddie and I did this song, this live comedy record of funny songs. And they keep going, what's your single? Because people want to play it.
Starting point is 01:48:37 And it's like, I don't know, is it Jesus knows? Is it Hobby Lobby, Bobby, is it Man in the Mirror? We don't know. We never decided. We should let listeners pick it at some point. Or Jeep. I bought a Jeep. Yeah, that's an option too.
Starting point is 01:48:47 Or that's an awesome one too. Yeah. Yeah. So, you know, I mean, I can't, I don't know. Why don't we do this? Let's do a poll. We'll play it now. Morgan number two, what we're going to do is.
Starting point is 01:48:56 I'm going to play Hobby Lobby Bobby, put it up on Facebook and see what the vote is. And then we'll do a few of these and we'll see who gets the highest amount of votes. I like it. This is how singles are picked, people. No, they're not. Singles are picked in a board room with a bunch of. With like only 10 old dudes. I know.
Starting point is 01:49:10 Overweight men. Over when. Raging idiot singles. Yeah, with only a little bit of hair. Yeah. Not us. We're letting our people do it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:49:18 So we'll play it. Is there a poll function? I don't go to Facebook anymore. Yeah, on Facebook. We'll do it on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. We'll get all three of them. Wow, all the polls. And then we'll play all the songs over the next couple of weeks.
Starting point is 01:49:27 Only five of them. Only four of them. And then we'll see whoever is the highest. We'll make that our single. And then there'll be a number one hit. Okay. Thank you. That would be awesome.
Starting point is 01:49:36 Thank you, Valerie. Thank you, Bobby. All right. Nice talking with you, too. All right, here's the email that I got inside the old mailbag. Bobby's mailbag. Hey Bobby, I just moved in with my fiance. It turns out she's allergic to my dog.
Starting point is 01:49:55 Uh-oh. This was the first dog I've ever owned. His name was Chubbs. It's Chubs. Lab Shep Mix. Very pretty, but sheds a lot. We just moved in. She's highly allergic.
Starting point is 01:50:09 She breaks out in hives. sneezes constantly. We tried everything, including vacuuming every day and installing air filtration systems, but nothing helped. She's visited every allergy doctor in Colorado, it seems, there's no help. She has made the ultimatum. Mere the dog. Oh.
Starting point is 01:50:27 I guess it'll be her. Yeah, her dog, mead the dog, yeah. I've had Chubs, and she was a pup, and now he's nine. I'm not sure what to say. She says she can't live with me anymore if I keep the dog. Any advice. And that's the mailback. letter there.
Starting point is 01:50:42 That is very hard. It is a tough one. And by the way, you can call us and add to this if you want. 877-77 Bobby. That's our number. How old is Chubs do we know? Chubs is nine years old. Okay, sorry.
Starting point is 01:50:56 You're nine. Yeah. I'm never going to get to this point. I had a dog for 15 years. He died a year ago, and I'm now in the market to get a new dog. I think when I get a million followers on Instagram, I'll get a dog. Oh, wow, is that it? I just need something going to push me over the edge.
Starting point is 01:51:14 Okay. But I wouldn't have gotten to this point with the dog and her in this situation. But you can't go and rewrite the past, right? This is what I would say. It's time to prioritize, my friend. I do love a dog. But I'm going to say this. If you could find Chubbs an actual better situation to go to, better.
Starting point is 01:51:39 I would say that it's in the discussion that Chubs goes to that better situation and you go see Chubs a lot. Like let's say you have a friend that has a farm. We have a friend that just bought a farm. Big, big farm for their dogs. And there are many dogs. And let's say Chubs can go live on that farm with those dogs.
Starting point is 01:52:00 And you could still have... And how rare to meet a fiancé and get married? Because I do like dogs more than people. people. But my advice would be you work together to find a situation where Chubbs is the winner, whether it's in your backyard. I don't know, but Chubbs has got a win in this situation. And if you can do that, then I think it's okay to discuss how to live a life without her getting sick with Chubbs. Yeah. That's my answer. That's my advice.
Starting point is 01:52:33 Amy, what would you like to say to that? I feel like that's solid advice. Like Chubbs, honestly, I mean, I don't. I don't know if it would be a different if Chubs was like one year old, but being nine, it's like, yeah. So your fiancé, you may not ever meet anybody that you can spend the rest of your life with again. And if you ruin it over Chubs and then like a couple of years, Chubs, it's time for Chubs to leave this earth. Then you're alone. And Chubs can go live on the farm like Bobby said. I think that's a good thing.
Starting point is 01:53:04 If you can find Chubbs a better situation, I think you can actually. talk about it and figure something out. There's nothing in life that's not negotiable. This is what I've learned. Earth is bendable. There's not a situation that it's just like rigid and that's it. Even the ones you think are, aren't. So there's a way out of this,
Starting point is 01:53:23 but it's finding Chubbs a better situation for him. Oh, man, because that would be so bad if she is, if y'all end over this. And it's like, well, what happened when he chose the dog? I would break up with a girl over a dog if it was just a girlfriend, no doubt about it. And I had before. But a fiancé?
Starting point is 01:53:39 Never had one, so I can't, it's hard for me to, I've never been married or engaged. Yeah. Can't even get a date. Yeah. Lunch bog? It's easy, guys. Look, the dog came first, okay? The dog has been there for nine years.
Starting point is 01:53:54 She's only been there for a little bit of time. She can get her own place until Chubb passes away. Wow. And then you can move in together. Again, not wrong. There's not a wrong answer. There's couples that live in separate houses, apartments, whatever, all the time. It's a new thing that's sweeping America.
Starting point is 01:54:10 It's not sweeping. It's not practical. I just think that you cannot give your dog away after nine years. You owe that dog the last few years of his life to leave him at your house and have the girl live somewhere else until the dog is gone. I agree you do owe the dog. That's where I get hung up to is that you do owe the dog. Yep. And if you can't find a better place for the dog, then you got to find a better place with the girl.
Starting point is 01:54:31 Yeah. But you look for the dog. You look for the dog first. I think you can find a better sitch for chubs. do. Let me go to Crystal North Carolina. Hey, Crystal, you're on the show. What do you think? I think he should keep his dog. I'm assuming that they have been in a relationship for a specific amount of time because they're moving in together. So was she never around the dog before? If she's that allergic, you would think she would have already had a reaction with a little bit of
Starting point is 01:54:59 time around the dog? You would think. But I... He's living with it's very different than like... I just don't think it's an easy answer. Like, You just keep the dog. Like, what is the actual next step in this? You either have to kick her out, move her out, or kick the dog out, or move the dog out? It's a nine-year-old dog. Like, how many years would the poor guy have left? And again, I'm an avid animal lover, so it's like if you're around the animal,
Starting point is 01:55:26 like if she never visit his home. You're asking me questions. I don't know. I don't have, all I have is an email. You're yelling at me right now, and I'm very uncomfortable. I'm going at you. I'm trying to understand. Yeah, keep the dog or maybe live separate.
Starting point is 01:55:42 The next, I wouldn't think the dog's going to live. My dog lived at 15. Okay. So six more years and then they can live together again. You can go to our Facebook page and write your answer up there if you want. Go to bobbybones.com, put on our Facebook page. That's the mailbag. That's my advice I would get.
Starting point is 01:56:00 And that was Bobby's mailbag. Aaron, this happened to you? Yes Tell me more So when my boyfriend and I started dating He wanted a dog And I was like no I'm definitely allergic So we got one we were living separately
Starting point is 01:56:17 Now we lived together and it was god awful So we kind of contained the dog to one area And then when we broke up I'm like oh I'm not leaving the dog with him So I took the dog And she's kind of restricted from areas in my apartment And occasionally she goes to my mom's when I need a break and just to deal with the allergies.
Starting point is 01:56:36 I think that the answer is something like that. It's a compromise. There's no black or white. The dog doesn't go or the... Listen, I have not dated girls longer because of my dog. I was like, oh, you don't love my dog? Can't handle my dog? Out.
Starting point is 01:56:50 Peace out. It's a fiancé, which makes it a little bit different. That's all I'm saying. Yeah. You can't build that extra house for it. Who's got the money to build extra house? And there's a dog house, but then dogs can be an outside dog. My dog don't be an outside dog.
Starting point is 01:57:03 Are you kidding me? My dog lived a better life than I did. The end. Go to Facebook page, let me know. If you see someone on there writing something like it's easy as black and white, get rid of the dog, get rid of the girl. You tell them what's up. Life isn't black and white. Life shades of gray.
Starting point is 01:57:19 Yeah. There you go. It's dendable. Yeah. Everything is manipulatable. Everything. Every negotiation, every relationship, it's all able to be just going to move around just a little bit. Oh, I'm not very good at that
Starting point is 01:57:34 That's all I've been able to do Yesterday after the show I was in my office And I have a little studio on my office too That I work out of And Amy now sit in the office in the morning Before the show and record commercials and stuff And I guess you were waiting on the studio yesterday for a bit
Starting point is 01:57:50 Oh, yeah? Yeah, why? Well, because I got stuck in there with our boss And he was giving me a life talk more than it was Oh, well, I was wondering what in the world Was taking so long Because normally it's like, hey, we're just going to meet real quick And then I was like, all right, the guys will do Their Soer Losers podcast
Starting point is 01:58:03 I mean, and then there's nowhere else to work besides your office because the guys are in here. And so I'm like, you're in there forever. Well, we go in and we're catching up on things because I've been gone, doing American Idol for a couple weeks, and I hadn't seen him. And he's over like 100 stations traveling around. And we were talking about, you know, work stuff first.
Starting point is 01:58:25 And then he's like, hey, man, how are you? And I'm like, great. Here we go. Like genuinely concerned about your well-being? And you know what? There are only about three people I would have that conversation with, and he's one of them, our boss Rod. And I'm like, I'm good, why?
Starting point is 01:58:38 He goes, he's been thinking about you, man. And I was like, well, good. But what's, he goes, I just, I'm worried. He said, why don't you take, just go and take three weeks off and just go away? Wow. Three weeks. Oh, let's do it. It's a good idea.
Starting point is 01:58:52 And I'm like, are you, are you kidding? He goes, you have to like take a break or you're not going to be long for this. I'm like, what do you mean not going to be long for this? I've been doing it, this pace and this level my whole life. He said, take a vacation. He said, why don't you take vacations? I said, well, we do because the show has to take off. I have to give you guys days.
Starting point is 01:59:11 Yeah. I said, but how I grew up, we didn't have vacation. You didn't have, I never wanted on a vacation my whole life until later because it was, one, there was no money. And then two, like in the summertime, it was time to start working for school clothes for the next year. Like if I was in school, it'd be 11th grade. Okay, well, it's summertime.
Starting point is 01:59:30 Well, now I've got to work and buy school clothes and car payment and, and, And he's like, yeah, I get it. And he gets it too. He's a military kid. And so he's like, I get it. He said, you just need to get away. And he's, what about kids? And I'm telling you.
Starting point is 01:59:43 What? Like, it went deep. It went straight to kids? I mean, not straight to, but I mean, what about a girlfriend? Well, that was his point. Oh, okay. He's like, do you want kids? Because he's like, I think everybody should have kids.
Starting point is 01:59:54 I think it's a great part of your life. Like, you actually grow a lot whenever you have. And I was like, yeah, I do. But what do you want me to do? I can't get a girl. I can't have a girlfriend like in now. Nashville in the industry because that doesn't work. I don't even trust anybody.
Starting point is 02:00:10 And then secondly... Well, that's your problem. Yeah, but it's like in the business, it's like, why you were trying to date me? You mean, play your song? I'm not a VP of the company. Make the company play your song? What do you do? Okay.
Starting point is 02:00:23 And secondly, it's like, well, don't you date somebody in California. I don't want to travel that far. I would just like to have somebody that's just up at the house. You travel that far for an idol. You can't travel that far for a girl? Because you don't pay like Idle. Oh. Okay.
Starting point is 02:00:38 All right. So now we know what it's about. Yeah, that's a job. Yes, a J-O-B pays you M-O-N-B-Y. Yeah, but like work-wise,
Starting point is 02:00:46 you, I wouldn't wake up this early in the morning to do this without being paid. Okay, to be fair, you're continuing to work,
Starting point is 02:00:53 work, work, because that's you. Like, you could, you could, you could, like, some people would look
Starting point is 02:00:58 at your current job and be like, you know what, you make enough to support your lifestyle, you're living. Like, you've got,
Starting point is 02:01:04 Like you could just, you don't, you keep adding to the plates. It's not ingrained to me to take a break. I said, I told him honestly, I said, I don't feel like I have a single skill that I can take a break. Like if I don't keep working, somebody else is going to work harder than I am. And he's like, just take three weeks. I'm not taking a week and a half in my life, much less three weeks. And that's what we did for an hour. He had a lot.
Starting point is 02:01:24 He's like, you want kids? Then you need to take a break. You need to go. And then we talked about, and don't. You want you to take three weeks to go and make a baby? I mean, three weeks to find a girl, get her pregnant and have a start a baby. get married. Takes about three weeks.
Starting point is 02:01:37 There is genuine concern from him. Yeah. I could see it in his eyes. Just genuine concern for my well-being. And I was like, I'm good. I'd be fine. He's like, in 10 years, you're going to look back and go, what was I doing? Why did I not take a second, take a break?
Starting point is 02:01:50 He's got a good point. He's like, I know you're leaving the show for a bit to go do this other show. And he's like, but that's not a break. Yeah. That's more work. It's not a break. I was like, you know, I have to leave the show a bit to go do this other TV show that I can't really talk about yet.
Starting point is 02:02:05 And he's like, okay, that's not a break. So, and then, so I was kind of bummed out a little bit last night. Really? Because I go home. Why didn't you call me? Because you would have been like, yeah, three weeks for sure. Well, I wouldn't have. But if you're bummed about it thinking like, oh, what am, yeah.
Starting point is 02:02:21 I mean, you've got, you do, I think we're all in agreement. And joking aside, because obviously three weeks would be so nice. But you do need to give yourself, like, some. R&R. I don't know what to do with R&R. Okay. And I don't have anybody to do it. You know, how many trips can I take by myself?
Starting point is 02:02:39 What did you? Didn't you get some tools to keep in your little toolbox? You got tools? No, like, figuratively. Like, you went to that adult therapy camp. Like, didn't they give you some tools to help you sort through this? Because I get what you're saying. Like, you don't want to be the guy that misses out.
Starting point is 02:02:55 How many times can I go by myself and go do something? After a while, you're just like, so I sat at home last night. Oh my gosh. And if you go to my Insta store, you'll see it. What did you do? What did you do? I haven't seen. Well, no, I just, I just listen to sad music.
Starting point is 02:03:05 Oh, is that why you put, like, crying emojis to Waylon Jennings? No, first of all, it wasn't Waylon Jennings. It's Merrill Haggard. Oh, sorry, whatever. I was wondering why you texting him Merle Haggard. It's a Blaze Foley song, but Merle Haggard sings it's so, to me so, and it's one of my favorite songs. And it's called, if I could only fly, and it's so sad. And, like, I was almost crying last night.
Starting point is 02:03:24 That's what you did last night? I sat at home last night and listened to this in the Pink and Stableton song. I did, I did, I did, I did. Because this also reminds me of my grandma too. All because he wanted to have a talk in my office after the show yesterday. I almost felt it touching me just now. I wish I knew which way to turn and go. Maybe one of my favorite songs ever.
Starting point is 02:04:08 I feel so good and then I feel so bad. I wonder what I are. If I could only fly, if I could only fly, I'd bid this place goodbye. Come and be with you. Isn't it the greatest song ever? Oh my gosh. But I can hardly stand. I got nowhere to run.
Starting point is 02:04:57 another sinking sun One more long night God You need someone You need some way I'm depressed now I just had one of those nights And actually had some time
Starting point is 02:05:16 And the enemy for me is time I stay so busy all the time Work work work that I don't have to sit at home and go If I can only fly That's not the enemy though But then I was like how can I So this is what I do last night I sent Eddie a text too
Starting point is 02:05:28 I'm going All right How can I make this into something like work and funny? So I send it. That's exactly what he did. Okay, you turn your pain into humor all the time. I absolutely did. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 02:05:39 And I send Eddie a joke song idea. And I'm like, I want to write this song about having dinner with Orlando Bloom. And it was, so that's what I did. And I go, I'm like, okay, this is good. Let me, let me check the song out. I never heard this song for. It's this one? You want to turn this song?
Starting point is 02:05:55 If I can only fly. No, just like something. Slug the fingering style. Anyway. Is that? Yeah. Like, whatever. That's what I did last night. All right, have a good day.
Starting point is 02:06:08 Wow. I mean, I guess. Raymondo's telling me to go to break. Okay, bye. All right. I mean, well, I should say that because Amy gave me a really, like, over-the-top gift. But I saw that the Raptors gave Drake. You know Drake the rapper?
Starting point is 02:06:22 Yeah. See the gift they gave him? A $760,000 diamond and crushed a jacket. Dang. almost a million dollars A jacket Who? Who's they? The Raptors, the basketball team
Starting point is 02:06:35 Oh, the Raptor Oh sorry, I didn't know The sports jacket covered in 235 Handset Diamonds It costs just the jackets $550,000 made from 100 year old archival deadstock jewelry cloth
Starting point is 02:06:47 Wow And then all dime How do you even wear that Without three security guards? Like you're just carrying cash basically The black jacket features the OVO owl logo and the Raptors basketball symbol
Starting point is 02:07:02 He has a $400,000 iPhone case as well and a 100-kart diamond owl necklace. Why don't they give him all that? I guess it's hard to buy for somebody who has everything. What do you get for someone
Starting point is 02:07:18 that can just get whatever? I'm gonna tell you. And I really haven't gotten in a detail what Amy got me for Christmas or for birthday. It's ridiculous. One day, I might even put it on my Instagram today.
Starting point is 02:07:29 I might. But I can't be like, check it out. They just have to like sit in the background. Sometime in the next week or so, they're just going to be in the background of a picture. That's cool. Mr. Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 02:07:38 Because I thought it was a joke. And this is our version of that. Diamond and crusted jacket. Well, it's not the same. On a much lower level. Lower level. Much lower level. But it's on that.
Starting point is 02:07:52 By the way, today and country music, have a good one here today. Kind of a fun one because we all love this song anyway. Today and Country Music, let me hit this. Excuse me very much. Three, two, one. Action. Bobby Bones show on this day in country music. Today, 27 years ago, Sawyer Brown, had the number one country song with Some Girls Do.
Starting point is 02:08:14 Well, I ain't first class, but I ain't quite trash and wild and a little crazy to. Some girls don't mean. Eddie and I were singing one of their other number ones. Thank God for you. Yes. We were walking in the airport singing that song. So thank God for the money. Wait, what is it?
Starting point is 02:08:31 Yeah, I thank the bank for the money. Thank God for you. Yeah, yeah. I think Mama I got the thing Mama for the wolfins Daddy for the Wolpen's The devil for the trouble
Starting point is 02:08:44 That I get into Well I got to give credit Where credit is due I thank the bank for the money Thank God for you Yeah Damn, man That's good
Starting point is 02:08:56 That's it is And I don't know why we were singing In the airport yesterday It just came up The members of Sawyer Brown Were originally part of Country Singer Don King's Road Band When King stopped touring in 1981, the band just stayed together.
Starting point is 02:09:09 They auditioned for Star Search in 1983. Wow. And they won the grand prize of $100,000 and a recording contract. Two years later, they had their first ever number one. What an amazing story. How about that? Their other only number one was this one? Three number one.
Starting point is 02:09:29 This is from 1985. This is their first number one after Star Search. Isn't that crazy? But on this day, some girls do goes number one that's so cool yeah
Starting point is 02:09:39 they won star search I had no idea who was the host of star search who was the host of star search Ed McMahon wow some girls do I wish they would come in
Starting point is 02:09:52 and just play all the hits we'd do that right yeah jam sandwich right there you're not much of an alien person are you no not really
Starting point is 02:10:06 but maybe there's something out there that you don't understand? I mean, I get, oh, yeah. There's tons out there I don't understand. And I get that perspective. Like yours, whenever you say it, like, I mean, there's so much about this world. I don't know. I mean, I get it.
Starting point is 02:10:18 The universe. Yes, even outside of the universe. Yeah, what's beyond that? Yes, I get it. But like, ugh. I'm just like, I feel like they would have come here now. And maybe they are here. Maybe you're an alien.
Starting point is 02:10:31 Bobby comes out. That's why he's so smart. You had us, bones. Well, thank you for that. But maybe. The best analogy that I'd ever heard was, if you're walking in the woods and you see a random ant pile. And it's just living. It's like, do you go over and just stomp on it for the sake of stomping on it?
Starting point is 02:10:47 No, you just let it live. Like, what if we're the ant pile and these aliens? They're just letting his lip, right? My thing is, I'm not a believer in aliens, but I'm also not a believer to say there's no such thing. Because what do I know other than what I can see? My point is the Pentagon admits that are investigating UFOs. Yes. Like they finally are announcing, there's something, and we've got to kind of figure something out.
Starting point is 02:11:07 That would be crazy. That's all I'm saying. No, they can't let us know. Do you understand? Oh, we go crazy. Oh, we would go crazy. Yeah, of course. Do you all think the area, what's the area 51?
Starting point is 02:11:19 Area 51. Real? There's probably something. It's probably not as elaborate as we hear and there are aliens locked up in chambers. There's probably something to it. Don't know if there are alien bodies there. Probably not. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:11:31 But there's probably something to it where something happened and they hit something there. Because don't you always say where there's smoke, there's fire. That's not, that's not my saying, but I do say it. You and my. Sometimes I get credited with some of the craziest stuff. Like, it's like E.T. I'm all in. Like, how cute is he? You know?
Starting point is 02:11:48 Sometimes I think about aliens, like being scary, like in Avengers or whatever. But then... What if they're actually great and they bring his candy? Exactly. Right. They could be just like us, just don't look like us. What if it's... All of a sudden, that tongue comes out of my eye, only to Eddie?
Starting point is 02:12:01 That's my... That's how you tell it. I'm like, Eddie, look. We're done. Amy, what's up today? Go ahead. You're on action. Let's see.
Starting point is 02:12:08 today. I've more work stuff and then hanging out with the kids. Like, yeah, summer's approaching. So we're working on their summer schedule right now. Like, they're going to be home. It's like, this is our first summer. Last year they did summer school. So this is their first summer where they're just home all day. So I got to figure that out. Like, what do they do? They can't just sit around all day. Let me just say this. From my mouth to yours, welcome to parenting. Yeah, no. I get it. I have any idea. Yeah. Yeah. You want to take them for one day a week? No. Just one. Just, ah.
Starting point is 02:12:40 Okay, fine. Thanks. What are you got going on? Well, I'm looking at my calendar here. It's just a... It's just frustrating because it's completely full, but it's all work stuff. I'm ready to just live life, you know? That looks terrible.
Starting point is 02:12:51 I can see it from over here. I took a picture on my calendar to put on, because there are people like, let me see your calendar. People are interested in what I do. And I take a picture of it, and every day it's just like, blizzard it out, right? And then I was have to post it, and then I look, you can zoom in and see everywhere I possibly am. And you know people will zoom in. Yes, and people will show up and murder me. And exact time?
Starting point is 02:13:08 Yeah, don't do that. You're crazy. Yeah, I almost did. I was almost posting it. Yeah. I'll go box. Oh, sweet. I'll meet you there.
Starting point is 02:13:15 No, no. I have a gym in town. So I'm going to go to the old title boxing on Church Street and box today. I'm grounded from title of church. When am I allowed back? Ever? Just check your phone. He'll text you.
Starting point is 02:13:29 Sensitive situation. Hey, I'll get the text now. Lunchbox is up today. My parents are flying into town, so I got to go to the airport and pick them up. Oh my gosh, my in-laws are coming into town. What if they're on the same flight? Nobody's going to come. They might be.
Starting point is 02:13:43 Maybe they're sitting next to each other. That would be so fun. That being said, tomorrow John Party and his dad will be in for the Friday morning conversation. Have a great day, everybody. And we'll see you on Friday's show. Thank you. The Bobby Boom Show. All right, if you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the drill.
