I tell you, we weren't able to do post-shows the last couple days because I've been traveling
Starting point is 00:03:19 and we didn't get to do the Tuesday song on Tuesday. Oh, yeah. Which I was hit, a lot of people, but listen, we can't do it on Wednesday or Thursday. We'll get it next Tuesday. But yeah, we didn't get to the Tuesday song this week. So, yeah, we just finished the show. A couple things I wanted to mention that we didn't get to on the show, and some of it just came too late.
Starting point is 00:03:39 Some of the stuff we talk about here is not even because it wasn't good enough for the show. It's because Mike Dill bring it over to me, and the show is about to rap, and I'm like, Dad, Nagget, I wish I could have got it in earlier. One of them that I want to talk about was this cursing story, where I'm not a cursor, right? And I guess I haven't said a bad word, maybe close to three years now,
Starting point is 00:04:00 but they say that office workers who are frustrated swear about 55 times per week. Amy, when's the last time you said a bad word? Oh, I don't really say them. Yeah. So I don't, they're not part, like it hasn't been a part of my, doesn't come out.
Starting point is 00:04:16 Like even when, like, like if I've spilled something on the board, like shoot or. Like it's, it would be like saying. It just comes out. But, like, Like, I would say lately in life, I hear more in my head, which I used to never hear. Oh, that's interesting. Because I never had really said them.
Starting point is 00:04:38 But sometimes when I'm like, oh, fudge, like I do that. But in my head, I hear like, but I'm telling you, I'm angrier than I've ever been. I have, my hormones are out of control. I throw things. Wow. Yeah. He was like, you know, I've stabbed people. guys. She's not proud of it.
Starting point is 00:04:59 Reveal something crazy. But I have started to see that shift with like, with whatever's happening with me hormonally. Like, I'm angrier and I just, I have more angrier thoughts, which not that if you cuss, you're angry because plenty of people in my life cuss, it's like not a big deal. My sister even says, maybe you should and maybe it would make you feel better if you just let it out. Well, why don't we do this? Because for me, it's not an angry thing.
Starting point is 00:05:22 It's a discipline thing, right? Because I think curse words all the time, like all the time, the F word especially. Oh, see, I guess I. I didn't, because you also used to cuss. Like, cussing has never been, like, I've never been a cusser. Like, even when I was in high school and, like, kids would cuss to be cool. Like, it just wasn't, like, it just wasn't me. So it's fine.
Starting point is 00:05:38 I don't care if you cuss, but, but I, so I don't know why all of a sudden it's popping into my head. Let's do this exercise. Okay. Because you and I, we don't curse. By the way, I love cursing. I like to hear people curse. I like to watch comedy with cursing.
Starting point is 00:05:52 It's just, I have disciplined myself to not curse. I'm on the count of three, since we're not, we're not. on the radio. We can say whatever we want. It's basically a podcast at this point. We can. Yeah. On this part of the show, yeah. What are you challenging me to do? At the same time, we're going to say the F word. No, you're triggered on. On the count of three. On the count of three. You're going to get me fined. You're trying to get me fine. You can't be fine. No, if you get fined, I get fined. You don't get fined. Trust me. I've been in this hole before. This is a podcast. Amy, Amy, just do the exercise. I don't want to do it. I feel like you're tricking me. And you're going to say,
Starting point is 00:06:27 I'm going to say. No. He's not going to say anything. No, no, no, no. Amy, on the count of three, it's an exercise. You even said you needed to. No, you know the last time I cussed big time was when I lost that bet and y'all made me say
Starting point is 00:06:40 do a Chris Rock stand up. And I probably had to say, I said all the words. It's hilarious too. Okay, on the count of three. Ready? What are you doing? What? We can say whatever we want.
Starting point is 00:06:56 This is not the real show. This is the podcast. Are you sure? But why do you even want me to do this? Then I'm going to have mom send me emails like, Amy, my kids were listening. I can't believe you said the F word, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah. Okay, S word. We'll negotiate.
Starting point is 00:07:09 What? But I don't even think the S word. I think the F word. I don't. I don't think that word. I think the other word. And I don't know why, y'all, this is this why I'm talking to my guys. I know.
Starting point is 00:07:24 It's also okay to think things. I think it's associated to my whatever it's happening. to me where I feel crazy and I want to throw things and I do throw things. Ready, Amy, on the count of three. Just say whichever, say the worst word that you will say, okay? You can go as high as you want. I can say the worst word. The worst word.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Man, my dad cusses all the time. Are you ready? I'll do it with you. Here we go. On the count of, I'll go one, two, three. The worst thing I will say. No, like, take it up a level. word wise
Starting point is 00:07:59 yeah okay I'll say a word I don't normally say but I'll say it I'm gonna go one two three and then you go basically it's one two three then say it okay one two three damn it oh no
Starting point is 00:08:13 she curse oh no that's the word but my dad would say that one's not that bad my dad says that about ooh Amy oh
Starting point is 00:08:25 at least I didn't that. Oh, I can't believe you did it. Mm-hmm. That's hilarious. It's weird to hear Amy say that, though. I know. Yeah, that was kind of weird. Even for me. But that one, I feel, I don't know, that one doesn't feel as bad to me because literally, like, I tell you. My dad says it five times an hour. And I'll say things like, hey man, that dude's a dick. Oh, I do not like that word. No, but I'll say that I'm on our show sometimes. That's not a
Starting point is 00:08:53 curse word to me. To me, a curse word is something I just, I've just defined it. as what you can say on broadcast television or radio. Can you say, dang it? Yeah? What about the one I just said? Yeah, you can, but that's oddly a curse word. It is, I know. But I would say piss, and some people say that's a curse word?
Starting point is 00:09:12 Mm-hmm. Like I get pissed off. I don't think that's a curse word. Yeah, I say piss. Oh, weird when you say it. Dang. I will say to my husband. I'm just so pissed off right now.
Starting point is 00:09:25 You will? because I'm just that's me I'm so angry sometimes I need help Is she really asking for help? I think so She's being serious ones I'm dead serious to you
Starting point is 00:09:38 When I tell you That it's it's I don't I don't even have the words for it Because I don't really understand Sometimes how I'm feeling what's happening I want It's real
Starting point is 00:09:48 Like whatever hormones are happening They are the real deal And it's I try to talk to my doctor about it And I told you she wants to put that IUD in me to release progesterone or something. I don't know. But I'm too. My doctor wants to put that in my butt.
Starting point is 00:10:05 I'm too scared to do it because I don't, I don't know. I'm just scared to put something inside of me for five years. And then. Hey, listen, let me just wrap this up. That's what you said. You were trying to get me to say that bad word. Dang. I felt like a child.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Bad word. I feel really immature right now because so many of my friends, it's like not a big word. Yeah, I mean, me too. Everybody curses with me, you basically. And I don't care. Let me have the microphone for one thing. Oh, go, go, go, go. We talk, go.
Starting point is 00:10:36 Okay, thank you. Amy is on the Velvet's Edge podcast. You can check it out. What did you guys talk about? We talked about just loving, like, your neighbor, serving others. And since I'm a mom, she had me on to do it from a perspective of getting your kids involved and how as a family you can get out and help others and make that a part of, you know, your lives, like as a family, like raising kids to want to love others and do things for more people.
Starting point is 00:11:05 And so I kind of gave her what we're going to try to start implementing because I need to be better at that too. Like it was almost a talk for me as well. Check it out the Velvet's Edge podcast with Kelly Henderson, Amy's on one of the last episodes. If you can't get enough Amy talking here on this show, boom. Speaking of Kelly, the Elvitz-edged, she likes the F word. Oh, yeah, she does. She definitely likes the EF word. You told her the other day.
Starting point is 00:11:27 She walked into your house and I was getting ready upstairs, getting my hair makeup done, and she walked in to do yours. And she was like, where's Amy? And you're like, she's not going. And then she had picked out my outfit for that and, like, worked really hard. And you're like, yeah, she's not going. She decided not going. And she was, I heard her down there. She was like, are you effing kidding me?
Starting point is 00:11:45 She thought you were serious. And she, like, got so mad. I was like, whoa. Check that out. Check that out. Check that out. Check that out. Kelly's awesome. I think that's it. I'm going to do for now. Anything else need to mention?
Starting point is 00:11:56 I don't know. All right. That's it. Here is Thursday's show. So I didn't do Tuesday or Wednesday, but I don't know. What do you want from us? If I had the beat button, I can usually beat myself pretty good. All right, bye, bye.

Starting point is 00:16:23 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Nice. Welcome to Thursday show.
Starting point is 00:16:38 Morning studio. Morning. Let's see what's happening with everybody in the room as we start the show with our segment called What's the Haps? Hey, what's the Hats? Amy, coming over to you. Okay, so I love when our listeners teach me things. And I learned that if you're,
Starting point is 00:16:53 trying to take a picture and like for example I was trying to take a picture with Bobby's dog the other night Stanley and he was just moving and I couldn't get a good photo and sometimes that happens with your kids they move around a lot you can't get a good photo so listeners give me a tip of take a video and then in the video you take a screenshot of you know good spot in the video and boom you've got a picture where nobody's moving interesting yeah and think about that yeah you know they do those pictures though too that are emotion movie pictures like a live is that what they're called yeah but it's my pictures move I I'm like, what's happening here?
Starting point is 00:17:24 Yeah, I still can't get that right. But a video gives you more options, and that was their suggestion to me, and parents said it works wonders with, like, toddlers to get a good shot. It's a good tip. Yep. Almost of the more you know.
Starting point is 00:17:35 Almost. Oh, what the heck? The more you know. All right, what's the haps? Hey, what's the haps? What's up with you? Well, I was reading this story about this fast food worker
Starting point is 00:17:47 who was given out free chicken McNuggets, McNuggets, McDonald's. He was given out like two extra ones every time someone would order to them. Oh. For years. Does his thing? Well, yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:57 So he's like the Robin Hood of chicken nuggets. And I just wondered how everybody felt about it. Is he a good guy for giving people extra nuggets or a bad guy for stealing from the McDonald's? Okay. Your thoughts? I don't like labeling him a bad guy because I don't think he's a bad guy, but he's not doing his job. But you have to pick one. Then I guess, what the heck?
Starting point is 00:18:19 He's a bad guy. Lunchbox? Oh, he's a good dude. making the customers happy. It's like a surprise. He can go, here's an extra gift that, you know, you come to see us where we're going to reward you with a couple extra nuggets. You can't do that. Yeah. I mean, it's fun to get free stuff, but you can't take something that's not yours to give it to somebody else. I always had a problem with Robin Hood, too. Like, you can't steal. Like the Bible, the Bible says you can't steal. And he was taking, so I would also say he's a bad guy.
Starting point is 00:18:45 Eddie, I mean, I'm a customer. I like what he's doing. And I like the free stuff. And tell you what, I'm going to return to McDonald's. Okay, but think about it. If you're the owner, like you're yeah be that position that's money out of everybody's pocket well he's probably a good guy yeah i'm sure he's yeah i just wanted how you guys felt hey hey what's the hat lunchbox what's happening man we have the first doctor in our family and the history of our whole family my cousin got her phd she did the whole where she has to go up and defend her thesis thing in front of a big old lecture and she passed and so we finally have a doctor so i can brag about someone in my family being a doctor finally. Can she diagnose
Starting point is 00:19:23 your foot issue? He's a PhD. I don't think she's that kind of like her, but she's a doctor. Hey, what's the hat? One more. Over to our video producer Eddie. Morgan number two did an online version of Food World and she brought him these fudge covered
Starting point is 00:19:39 ritz crackers. Oh my goodness bones. Like Amy said when she tried it, I don't know what took them so long to do this and finally realize that they've struck gold. It's the best thing I've tasted in a long time. Can I say about Morgan Number Two's food world. The real life food world.
Starting point is 00:19:54 They're so good. The videos are so good. Thank you. We don't talk about them enough. But how do people, they just go to Bobby Bones.com to see them? Yeah, they can go there or our YouTube page. They're on both.
Starting point is 00:20:04 She goes out and does these food. We'll do a food world segment coming up in a minute with her. Yeah. And she does them on the radio, but she does them in real life with video and goes to places. They're so good. So I would encourage you go check out Morgan number two's food world. IRL. In real life.
Starting point is 00:20:16 In real life. Because she loves food. Yeah, because she loves food. That's right. Hey. What's the half? All right, there you go. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day.
Starting point is 00:20:27 Over the past couple weeks, it's been interesting because Amy and Lunchbox are both looking to move out of their houses where they live now, but just to a neighborhood where the public school is better. And so Amy's moving because her kids, their second language is English. They were adopted from Haiti. They weren't accepted into the school they wanted to get into because they weren't developed enough for their grade level. Correct.
Starting point is 00:20:50 Am I saying that accurately, Amy? Pretty much, yeah. And so she's like, okay, I'm going to go to this school because they have a good English for second language program. Lunchbox moved. And why are you moving to the neighborhood lunchbox? Because we are having a second child. And I mean, my wife doesn't want to move anymore. So we're thinking schools in a few years, our kids start schools, want to be in the good school district.
Starting point is 00:21:12 Okay, so they're both looking. They decide they want the same house. There's a house war going on. They're avoiding each other. It's kind of gotten awkward in the room a little bit, too, to be honest with you. So there has been an update because I guess lunchbox you pulled Amy's husband aside. Yeah, we were at the holiday party over at your house the other night and Amy brought her husband. And I thought this was a good time to kind of set the ground rules, sort of what the house is.
Starting point is 00:21:35 So I went over there and I'm like, hey, man, how's it going? Make the small talk at first. And then I start picking his brain. So what are you thinking about that house? What do you think you need to do? And seeing which houses he likes the best and I said, man, I'm just here to be honest with you. I don't need you taking my house. And I just want to let you know we really need that house.
Starting point is 00:21:51 and it's important and I just want to make sure we're on the same page. I shook his hand and that was it. Kind of gave him a warning like, hey, stay away from my house. Maybe your husband didn't go back to you telling you how intimidated he was by lunchbox's mobster mentality. He must not have felt that way because seriously he did not even mention it to me. So he must have either for one, like one, not taking you seriously or two, like you didn't make that much of an impact.
Starting point is 00:22:16 He totally forgot. Oh, I did. I mean, I looked him right in the eye and shook his hand man to man. Say it like you said it to him. I want to hear how, just like the tone you use the Amy's husband. I said, look, man, I know you're interested in that house, but there's more houses out there for you. I'm going to need you to stay away from my house. I shook his hand, pat him on the left shoulder.
Starting point is 00:22:34 Boom, I'm out. Wow. See, we're both in a, it's almost, we're not like at a stalemate, but both of us, lunchbox and I, I think we're in the same predicament of neither of us have our house on the market, the houses we currently live in. So it's hard to. but I mean I'm active I have a realtor that's already on that we took our Realtor photos have you done that yet don't worry about that okay oh wow
Starting point is 00:22:57 so ours could go on the market any day we just have to make that decision so that's why I know other offers have been made and we haven't like pulled the trigger on it or maybe the warning was heard and there's no been offers because yeah a little scared where's your offer
Starting point is 00:23:12 do you feel like Amy's husband's a tomato by you a little bit yeah I think he is for sure okay does anybody else believe that No, not at all. I mean, I don't know why you guys are laughing. Say I if you think my husband's intimidated by lunchbox. You would kill you with one finger. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:23:29 Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. You think you could take them lunchbox? Yeah. I mean, if I didn't, if it came down to it, I'd take them. Hey, no problem. But he's like trained military. Listen, there's big trees in the forest. They fall just harder.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Oh. That's all it is. I don't think that's how that I said. Yep. They fall just harder. I mean, hey, a small tree can fall, big tree can fall. They both go down. Okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:23:56 He's got to be more tactical about it. He's pretty tactical. He's all tactics. Like everything about him is tactical. Guys, you think he, I trained to make him, huh? You bought a DVD and did it in your backyard. Okay, is that training? No.
Starting point is 00:24:15 I mean, yes. I mean, yes. I mean, if you, if you live. weights, you're training. I mean, that's training to me. I had instructional videos and I was practicing. Like at the Christmas party, because my husband's like had the skin cancer removed, he has this pretty nasty scar on his face right now. And he told Gator at the party that he just like made up some story to see if Gator would buy it about how he got it at training at work with like a gun went like, I don't know, a knife. I don't know the details because it was a lie. But Gator believed him.
Starting point is 00:24:45 Yeah, I would too. But like lunch mugs, that was believable. and then obviously he told Gator the truth, but like, I don't know. Amy's husband would eat a ham sandwich while beating lunchbox up with the other arm. Also, me too. This is not just a lunchbox thing. Like, he would kill all of us. I don't know about kill. If he needed to.
Starting point is 00:25:03 Yeah, he would. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so on the house, where are we as of today? Amy, go ahead. Well, I guess, well, this weekend I'll know more, but I guess we're not making an offer at the moment because we're scared of lunchbox. Okay, lunchbox and you are? We are moving in that direction. and we know Amy is staying away from that house,
Starting point is 00:25:20 so we are glad that we're on the same page, and it's not awkward anymore. Of all the ones we've looked at it? Whoa, no, it's not. It is still my favorite one. And it's still available. I look at it every day. Not anymore.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Your favorite? I'll have my wife call you and give a warning. Okay. The Bobby Bone Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer Ramundo. Ramundo, what you got over there? In California, the electric company is doing another mass power shutoff,
Starting point is 00:25:43 likely to affect 450,000 people. It shouldn't last for long. You may not even notice it. In other news, overseas. Very sad news. Two American servicemen were killed in a helicopter crash in Afghanistan. U.S. forces are denying Taliban claims that they were shot down. And finally, the American Medical Association is now calling for an immediate ban on all electronic cigarettes and vaping devices that have caused at least 42 deaths. It's a Bobby Bones show. So what I'm going to do here is give you an easy TV catchphrase.
Starting point is 00:26:13 All you got to do is, in an easy way, name the TV show. All right, everybody in. Survivor style elimination. By the way, here's the example. I'll go, I'll do it myself. Ready? Hey, hit, hit. Hey.
Starting point is 00:26:28 Oh, beaves some butthead. Beavs and butthead. That's the example. So you're counting on two things. One, me to read it right and also to do the best impression of it back. That's great. Yeah. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:26:39 Name the TV show the catchphrase is from. Number one, you're fired. Write that down. The catchphrase is, Yeah, fiat. I'm in. Lunchbox is puzzled. No, I can't think of the name of the stupid show.
Starting point is 00:26:57 Hold on, hold on. Oh, my God. Oh, okay. Five seconds. Wow. Great acting, too. Amy? I'm in for the win.
Starting point is 00:27:07 The apprentice. The apprentice. Eddie? The apprentice. Everybody's right. You're fired. The next one up. Yada, yada, yada.
Starting point is 00:27:19 Yada. Yada, yada. I'm in for the win. I think I'm in. They're walking down the street. Yada, yada, yada. Yada yada. Next thing you know, we're naked on top of the Sears Tower.
Starting point is 00:27:30 Yeah, I'm in. What? I think that's the context that one's used for? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Five seconds. How I met your mother? Incorrect. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:27:46 Seinfeld. Eddie. You can't just yada yada, Yada, Seinfeld. There it is. Yada, yada, yada. There you go. Okay, how about this one? Is that your final answer?
Starting point is 00:27:59 Amy, you've been eliminated. Don't go to your paper. I saw her going to her paper. She was writing something. down? I was just hopeful because I know it. Is that your final answer? I'm in for the win. Is that your final answer? Lunchbox. Who wants to be a millionaire? Eddie? Who wants to be
Starting point is 00:28:13 a millionaire? That's right. The important thing is, isn't your final answer. All right, how about this one? The easy TV catchphrase game. Have mercy. I'm in. Have mercy. Pretty good. I feel like I got the effect on it too. You can do better than that. Have mercy. I'll just take a guess. I'm Men for the Win. All right.
Starting point is 00:28:39 Lunchbox? The Jeffersons. Incorrect. Eddie for the win. By the way, you're killing the games. If you get this one, Eddie for the win. How did he not get this? Full House.
Starting point is 00:28:46 It is full house. Play it there. Come on. All right, there he is. Here's this song. He wins again. Yeah. What do you do
Starting point is 00:28:56 do a day? Demandem salazar. Let me deo samaray. Come on a summer. Come on, Beno, what do you credit all this game winning to? What do you credit all this game winning to?
Starting point is 00:29:10 I don't know, man. Is sleep a better, sleep number? Maybe. I stopped drinking coffee for a few days. Maybe that's it. Wow. They're having any caffeine? Mm-mm.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Wow. I got hot chocolate this morning, but... No, headaches or anything. No, nothing. Just complete caffeine withdrawal, but with no withdraw. Yeah, and it's nothing against coffee. I just wanted to see how my body would react without it. Well, you're winning games.
Starting point is 00:29:29 Dude, I'm going to just maybe keep it up. Wow. All I do is win. That's all right. Yeah, that seems to be the move. I don't see if I get a little marital advice from you, uh, y'all. Uh, my wife every night, she, uh, goes and locks herself in the bathroom and take a bath and turned on the Bobby Bones
Starting point is 00:33:40 show for at least 30 minutes to an hour and, you know, it makes me a little jealous. Yeah. What do you want from us? We don't mind the situation. We like for it to keep it happening, to be honest with you. Yeah, what's the problem? Yeah, Chris, what's the problem? What are we getting at here, Chris?
Starting point is 00:33:59 What we're getting at here is, I don't mind it, you know. She needs her a little me time, but I'm not getting the same attention as what I'm getting at. Oh, well, I know. I have a solution. Go ahead. Well, why don't you go get in the bath with her and listen together. Oh, wow, there you go.
Starting point is 00:34:19 I have a four and a six-year-old, and she locked us all out of the bathroom. Not just the bathroom, but she locked the bedroom door, too. Are you sure that's all she's doing, Chris? Not to be the guy. If she's double locking doors and listen to a podcast. Well, sometimes you just need a break from life, especially if you've got two. kids, it's probably nothing against you. It's just a lot sometimes.
Starting point is 00:34:40 So she's just, that's her me time. Are you getting a break from life? Oh, no, no. I don't want to get a break from life. Maybe you can come home. Yeah, come home, dress this Bobby Bones. Is that what I need to do?
Starting point is 00:34:56 Have my help. Yeah, I wouldn't. A little role play. I wouldn't have. Listen, listen. How long you've been married, Chris? Seven years. Seven years.
Starting point is 00:35:06 And how's that going? for you. It's going great. Okay. Good. Then let it keep being great. But he's jealous. You know what? Some relationships need extra spice brought in. If I'm that extra spice, great. I'm up for it. At least I get to be spice somewhere. I got one more question for you, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Go ahead. Do you still get with your fans after shows? Most shows. It just depends what happened was our shows have gotten so big they won't let us go out to the lobby anymore. Because if we're doing like 2,000 a night and 1,000 people are waiting in the lobby, security won't allow people to hang out.
Starting point is 00:35:37 So mostly we hang out either before the show at like a restaurant nearby or we go eat afterward and usually meet people there. But most shows, the answer is still yes, but some venues they just won't allow us to do it because of security reasons. Yeah, four seven-year anniversary, we're coming to the radio idiot show in Birmingham. Oh, we can just, well, I can just set that up with you right now. How about that? Oh, that's great.
Starting point is 00:35:59 We don't have to wait until after the show. I'll just let you come up and just, you know, I'll put you on hold and we'll get your info, and we'll set you up, we'll meet you before the show. How about that? Well, that sounds great. I appreciate it. Yeah, the note security, listen, should you bring a bathtub, you know?
Starting point is 00:36:15 Yeah, I mean, we can do whatever. IRL, in real life? I can talk to her, yeah. Oh, my, you meet his wife? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Oh, gosh. Chris, I'll put you on hold. We'll get that info, okay.
Starting point is 00:36:24 All right. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30-second skinny. Thomas Red dropped two Christmas songs, his version of the Christmas songs. as well as an original called Christmas in the Country. Here's the original. You know, it's tough to have an original Christmas song,
Starting point is 00:36:51 but that's a good one. Like, it's tough to have something that is new and lovely. Like Mariah Carey did it, Casey did it a couple times. I think TR just did it there too. All right, what else? Brad Paisley's sister-in-law shared that Brad keeps guitars in the freezer, at least three, to be exact. And the exact reason is unknown,
Starting point is 00:37:10 but Paisley's wife chimed in. saying she doesn't know either, it's just Brad, and he does things like that. All right, what else? And Miranda Lambert watches her opening acts almost every night on tour. I want to be inspired every night, you know. I watch every one of my openers almost every night, and I want to have to go out there and ring my A game, you know. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny.
Starting point is 00:37:33 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This executive named Bernie. He's a recruitment executive. He shared his reaction to an employee he found crying at her desk one morning. She had told him that her kid had been sick
Starting point is 00:37:49 and she had been up all night. And instead of telling her to suck it up, he was like, hey, he said, I asked her, so what are you doing here at the office? She said she had run out of sick days and could not afford to miss another day. So he sent her home and promised to pay her. He wrote her a check on the spot
Starting point is 00:38:06 for the extra money to alleviate any financial worry is that she was incredibly grateful. To this day, she is his best employee, not just because of her talent, but her loyalty. He adds, for other employers out there, employers, please understand that most people are carrying the weight of the world on their shoulders. People are worried about their jobs and their lives,
Starting point is 00:38:24 and please reassure your hardworking employees that their jobs are secure. Loyalty goes both ways. And so he made that happen for the woman that work for him. That's awesome. So I thought that was pretty cool. I wanted to share that with you guys, and that's what's all about.
Starting point is 00:38:37 That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bones show Boney of the day This story comes with from D-Land, Florida. A 19-year-old woman is playing Xbox Live. She loses to the people and there's a little trash talk going on.
Starting point is 00:38:51 She goes, you know what? You beat me in the video game, but I'll come shoot up your house. Oh, wow, that's her go-to when she's upset. Not good. Okay, and then what happens? About 30 minutes later, she drives by their house and boom, boom, boom.
Starting point is 00:39:03 She really went and shut. She knew where they lived? Yeah, she tracked them down through Xbox Live. She shot up their house? Yeah, and police arrests her, and luckily it was only a BB gun, but they didn't know that at the time. Oh, okay. Still. There's a lot to unpack in this.
Starting point is 00:39:19 One, she's very angry. One, it's a woman. Woo! Women don't usually do that on Xbox Live, right? Usually it's guys that get mad. I don't know. I don't play video games anymore. And I guess I only ever really played with Eddie.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Yeah, we played a lot, though. But when we never really threatened each other? No, a lot of kids threatened us. Yeah, we would get on sometimes. Amy, these 10-year-olds had some bad mouths. Man, that's crazy. They were immediately, it was like their safe haven to go and say all the words
Starting point is 00:39:46 that mom doesn't let them. Right, right, right. So we played this, but, so she gets upset. Then her go-to is to shoot someone up. Then she actually goes and finds them, and then she starts, does she just a BB gun. Why does she have a BB gun? Who has a BB gun anymore?
Starting point is 00:39:59 Oh, my kids do. Yeah, okay, well, there you go. I'm lunchbox, that's your bonehead story of the day. This is the Bobby Ball Show. Let's open the mailbag. Here we go. Bobby's Mailbag. Hey Bobby, even though you don't have kids,
Starting point is 00:40:15 I actually think you give pretty spot on parenting advice. So I had a question for you and the parents on the show. My 10-year-old daughter recently moved to her new school and since has a new best friend who has been in my daughter's life ever since. The friendship started out great. I haven't liked the fact that her mom and I get along just fine. But lately I've started to worry. Her new BFF tends to be very loud.
Starting point is 00:40:37 and opinionated. She has no trouble speaking her mind, but she usually comes across as being bossy and insensitive. The first time I saw how aggressive she could be was at the school's parking lot when she talked back at her mother and said some things to her
Starting point is 00:40:50 that I would not be comfortable hearing from my daughter. Just to be clear, I do not hate my kids' BFF, I'm just concerned. I know and appreciate that children as well as grown-ups have different personalities, and that's fine. I am not sure I want them to continue being friends. Does it sound like I'm being unreasonable,
Starting point is 00:41:06 signed a concerned mother. Amy, you have two kids and their ages are. 12 and 9. Anything like this happened with you? A little bit, yes. So I feel like I have advice. I don't know if it's the right advice, but I know what I've done and what I would do.
Starting point is 00:41:24 And so I would say you, your concerns are valid and like children pick up on other children's behaviors. And I would first start with the mom. If she's become a friend of yours, then it's fine. And that's how it was with me in one instance. And so I just looked at my friend and I said, you can't. I mean, I just stopped and her daughter was very disrespectful to her and in front of my daughter. And I could see my daughter starting to think, oh, is this okay for us to act like this to our parents?
Starting point is 00:41:50 And I didn't want her to think that. So I talked to my friend and I said, hey, you can't let her talk to you like that. And I don't know how she received that well, but it didn't cause any strain in our friendship. and I think they're trying to work on that. But we do hang out with some people where the kids are a little bit more disrespectful to their parents than we would approve of. And I have no problem sticking up for that
Starting point is 00:42:13 because I don't think it's right. I don't think their children should woggle over them the way that they do. And I'll correct the kids too. But I think you start with the mom and let the mom realize it and let the mom try to handle it. And then if not,
Starting point is 00:42:24 then you need to reevaluate how much they hang out because it 100% rubs off. Eddie, you have four kids. Yeah. But run me through the ages because the baby doesn't really count here. Yeah, 11 year old is my oldest and then six and then four is my foster kid. Okay, so they are actually playing with the kids. So what are your thoughts on this email? Yeah, I'm along the lines with Amy. I think the communication between parents is really important. That's one. If you can communicate with parents and kind of talk like, hey, this is happening. It's kind of concerning. Maybe you can talk to your kid about it.
Starting point is 00:42:56 It'd be good for both of you all. But also, too, I think, because I've gone with this with one of my kids, he's kind of, he learns a lot from other kids and he starts copying other kids. And I think a lot of kids do this. But having the conversation with your kid too is important to say, hey, be your own person. You don't have to be like anyone else. Once I start seeing you act like this other person and start doing stuff like that, I mean, we're going to start thinking twice about letting you hang out with them. Yeah, we've had that talk too.
Starting point is 00:43:22 That's a good point to bring up. We threatened our kids. Oh, well, yeah. What's up? What's up? What's that, huh? After we hang out with them, if this is, how you're going to act, then I guess we're not going to hang out anymore.
Starting point is 00:43:34 Like, yeah, you have to, and they see it as a real like, oh, okay, yeah. Because if they really like that person, that's going to be a big deal to them. I don't have any kids. It's tough for me to talk in this situation because it is such a specific thing to kids who hang out with other friends. I will say, though, that just in general, if you tell somebody they can hang out with someone, they're going to want to hang out with them, they're going to find a different place to hang out with them. It doesn't have to be a seven-year-old or a 22-year-old. But what you kind of have to do is take care of your own kids.
Starting point is 00:44:01 or your own friend and make sure that they kind of see what's happening around them and then let them make their own decisions but again, I don't have kids and I can't believe if they're bringing it back into your house
Starting point is 00:44:13 I'm going to check myself out of this one because I don't have kids and I'm not going to give advice on this one which is not really my style if I'm being honest with you but I think you two got it you have kids that hang out with people kind of the same advice
Starting point is 00:44:24 I think the best thing we could probably say to right now is her concern is valid because she was wondering if she was being if it was valid for her to feel that way. Oh, it's very valid. Yeah, totally.
Starting point is 00:44:35 All right. Well, there you go. We just solved another problem, folks. Yeah. There it is. How do we solve it? Amy, you say in one line, your answer is, what should she do?
Starting point is 00:44:43 Talk to the mom. Talk to the mom. Okay. Eddie? Yeah, talk to your son or daughter about it. But don't, we're both saying don't split them off that friend yet. No, no, no, no, no. Like, I would never, like, these relationships are really important to us.
Starting point is 00:44:54 But it's just there's different types of personalities. And sometimes you have to, you know, address it. Time to play the spinoff. Everybody loves. Elder versus millennial. Eddie's the oldest member of the show. He's our video producer. Morgan number two is the youngest.
Starting point is 00:45:14 She's 26. She's doing digital. And so I'll ask Eddie young people questions. Should be easy. And Morgan number two gets the elder questions. Got this. All right. Let's play the game. All right. Here we go, Eddie. You're up first. As the elder at 40 years old,
Starting point is 00:45:27 you will now answer the millennial questions. Come on. Question number one. What pop star starred in the Disney Channel show, Wizards of Waverly Place? I don't think I've ever heard of Wizards of Waverly Place. Pop star, I'm going to say Britney Spears. Oh, for sure. That is not it.
Starting point is 00:45:53 Morgan number two? That'd be Selena Gomez. Selina Gomez is correct. Oh, Eddie. Eddie. Yeah. Question number two, Elder. The fault in our stars,
Starting point is 00:46:07 Divergent, and The Spectacular Now are all movies starring what actress? I don't know her name. Isn't she in that other one, the HBO Nicole Kidman one? Pretty little lies. Fault in our stars, Divergent and The Spectacular Now
Starting point is 00:46:27 are all movies starring what actress? Jenine Jennings Oh, God. Love her work, by the way. Morgan number two to steal. Shailene Woodley. Shailene Woodley is correct. Oh, I would have never gotten that. But you're right, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:46:42 She is in Pretty Little Liars. Okay. Or Big Little Lies. Whatever it is, she's in that show you're talking about. Eddie, your final question, as the elder. I got this. What's the brand name of the original popular sneaker with wheels? So you're familiar with the shoes, have the wheels in the bag?
Starting point is 00:46:59 Yes, the kids kind of roll. Yeah. Yeah. They called rollers. Oh, rollers. Show me rollers. Morgan number two. Is it wheelies?
Starting point is 00:47:10 You're so close. It's helies. Healy's. So after Eddie takes a shot at the young questions, Morgan number two has two points. You got none right, but she stole two. I'm about to get some though right here. Okay, Morgan number two, you're 26.
Starting point is 00:47:26 We're going to ask you these questions that only Eddie should know as the elder. Are you ready? I'm ready. Question number one. This system was used by public libraries as a way to put books in order by subject. What was this system called? This system was used by public libraries as a way to put books in order by subject.
Starting point is 00:47:49 What was it called? The library system. I have no idea. You never went to the library and? I have, but I don't know how it was. It was all digital for you? I mean, yeah, I don't really remember. much about it. Cards. Nothing.
Starting point is 00:48:06 I mean, I remember going to like my school library, but. Eddie, you can steal. Is this microfish? What? What? Eddie. What? Oh, my gosh. It's a doing desolate system. Oh, I knew that. No, you didn't. No. You said microfish.
Starting point is 00:48:21 What is microfish, guys? That's where you go and get an old article and you can bring it up on the scanner. Yeah. Oh, wow. Wow. In the library. Oh, my gosh. You are old. Wow. Oh, brother. That is like the sun. Sundial. Yes.
Starting point is 00:48:36 Holy cow. Morgan number two. You're a millennial. This is a question that Eddie should know. David Hasselhoff starred alongside a nearly indestructible car in what TV show? David Hasselhoff
Starting point is 00:48:50 start alongside a nearly indestructible car in what TV show? Dukes of Hazard? Eddie. Night rider. I'm on the board. I have never heard of that. That's correct.
Starting point is 00:49:07 Kit? Yeah, that's the car. Morgan number two. Are you ready? If you get this, you win. Okay. If you don't, he has a chance to tie it up. Hang it, okay.
Starting point is 00:49:15 Morgan number two, what number would you dial on a rotary phone to speak to an operator? What number would you dial? You ever have a rotary phone? No. Rotary is this. I've seen them. Or a dial. This says dial on rotary.
Starting point is 00:49:30 You don't dial on rotary. But what number, I guess you do dial? No, that's a dial? No, that's a dial. No, what number would you dial on a rotary phone? To talk to an operator. shooting in the dark here. I'm going with nine. Nine, the old nine. Call the operator.
Starting point is 00:49:42 Nineer, nineer, nineer. Crazy. She doesn't know that. Eddie? Eddie? Ten options. Zero is the answer. That's right. Okay, let's go to a tiebreaker real quick. Come on. Let's ask a millennial question to the elder. Eddie. Yes, sir. Joe Jonas is married to what Game of Thrones star? Come on.
Starting point is 00:50:02 Man. Shamira Mamira. All right. Morgan number two? Um, Sophie Turner. Nice. Oh, wow. Eddie. Our, Morgan number two. Ready for this one?
Starting point is 00:50:15 Yes. If you walked into a Sam Goody store, what would you be buying? If you walked into a Sam Goody store, what would you be buying? Is that like Sam's Club? What would you be buying at Sam Goody? I mean, it's a goody, so I'm going to go with a treat, a candy treat. And that makes sense. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:50:33 Let's choose. No. Hey, what are you doing? Music. Oh my goodness. Morgan number two is the winner. Yes. There she is.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Does she even have a song? No, I don't have a song. Oh. Wait, eventually I got to get her a song. Eddie. Yay. Eddie, you choked on your own questions. Wow.
Starting point is 00:50:49 It's not good. Game of Thrones or the Jonas brother question, part of the elderly? No, it was part of the millennial question. I got it wrong. Okay. Wait. I don't know, Amy. No, no.
Starting point is 00:51:00 It's right. No, you did it right. Yeah. You asked the millennial question to Eddie. She stole. Oh, she stole. Okay. And then Eddie missed it.

Starting point is 00:54:53 That's get sunday.com. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Okay, so Popeye's has the first. fried chicken sandwich, and now Taco Bell has something they think people are going to go crazy over, and that's fried chicken, chicken tenders, that is. And they're making it a little Mexican by marinating them in jalapeno-infused buttermilk. And then the crispy part of the chicken, like the breading, is actually going to be crushed up tortilla chips.
Starting point is 00:55:22 And then they're going to fry them. And it sounds amazing. It does sound good. Here's my only issue when people go, man, it's going to be great. It's going to be just cooked in buttermilk. I don't even like buttermilk. Oh, but no, no, no, no. This is, my dad taught me this.
Starting point is 00:55:37 If you're trying to make really good fried chicken, you marinate it and buttermilk. But the Mexican side of it is that it's jalapeno-infused buttermilk. But the buttermilk makes it a really like just when you bite into it juicy piece of chicken. No, I get it. I get that I probably like buttermilk as an ingredient. Yeah. But I don't need to know a lot of my ingredients that I hate when they're just not ingredients.
Starting point is 00:55:56 Oh, yeah, because you don't want to just like sip on some buttermilk. Yeah, buttermilk, that word, is so gross. to me. My grandma used to drink buttermilk. I know. My grandma used to mash up cornbread and buttermilk and then drink it. And she would take her teeth out. She had dentures. And that's, I mean, it was
Starting point is 00:56:14 all soft so she could chew it without her teeth in. I could have used that entire Taco Bell. It's crazy also Taco Bell's doing chicken, right? Anybody want to say anything about that? Like Taco Bell's doing chicken? Isn't that weird? Chicken strips? It's a little weird, but they're making it their own. They'll be great. And they're also
Starting point is 00:56:32 saying puree their meat and their tacos to make a bisque. And I'm telling you, that's going to be great too. But anyway, all right, what else you got, Amy? So if you're looking for an awesome white elephant gift, if you've got some work parties coming up or whatever, there's a new Mari party game called You Are Not the Father? You know, like Mari Povich.
Starting point is 00:56:50 You call them Mari? How do you say it? Mori. Oh, you do? I say Mari. Mori Povich. Mari. That's interesting. I didn't realize I did that. but it's available for Amazon now and I don't really understand
Starting point is 00:57:04 how it works even like when I'm reading about it it's just they say it's a hilarious party game and it's going to be a great gift and it'd be kind of fun to open up at a white elephant you are not the father. I'm going to tell you it's never fun to think you are the father when you didn't want to be the father. It says you're...
Starting point is 00:57:18 Not that I know from experience. I'm just saying that wouldn't be a fun thing. But also again, I don't know... I feel like that game would be PTSD for some guys too that have gone through this. It might and I don't. understand all the content inside, but it does say here that it is strictly intended for adults. So don't order it for like your kids.
Starting point is 00:57:37 Is it one of those, you open it up. It's one of those spit tests from 23 and me. You are not the father. All right. What else, Amy? So these are the holiday foods that we most likely break our diet for. And overall, the average American will gain six pounds over the next month and a half. So if you want to stay ahead of that, just be aware and don't fall into the trap of just
Starting point is 00:57:59 throwing in the towel for the rest of the year, but it's cookies, pies and cakes, and home-cooked holiday meals that get us every time. The sugar gets me for sure. Yeah. For sure. And here is my suggestion. You're not just going to go, no, I'm not going to do it. Right.
Starting point is 00:58:14 You're probably not, right? Correct. I have a very practical approach to not falling into the trap. And that's only fall under the trap 30%. You're going to fall into the trap. And you know what's better than falling into the trap fully? It's just only a little bit falling into the trap. So if you're like, you know, I'd like to have four pieces of pie.
Starting point is 00:58:29 Have a piece and a half. Or wait and have your piece of pie later on in the night so you can hold off and you can still get it. But it's like you're playing a game with yourself. And it's not black or white. Like you don't just eat nothing and stay great or eat everything and be awful. But you can make a decision to only go 33% of the weight gross because that's what I do. Like if it's time for me to go, well, I'm going to commit. I will stall myself because I know I'm going to have it.
Starting point is 00:58:57 and I shouldn't. I'll stall myself until later, so I just can't have as much. Right. Little games I play. That's it. All right, Amy, is that it? Maybe that's my pile. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:59:12 Frank and Cheryl are a married couple from New Jersey, and they decided, you know what, let's each donate a kidney to random strangers. Because eight years ago, Cheryl's brother got a heart transplant. So they're sitting around on the couch one night. She was like, you know, we should do something to, like, pay it forward, I guess. repay. So they went to the donation center, got tested, and said, if anybody ever needs a kidney is our match, we'll donate it. So they both donated a kidney to a random strangers. That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah, good for them. That's awesome. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:59:40 That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's know. We're transmitting across America. This is a Bobby Bones show. That's right. Is it a Thanksgiving joke again? Yes.
Starting point is 00:59:57 Okay. We're almost through Thanksgiving. You've struggled a bit with finding Thanksgiving jokes. Yeah. My grandma used to say, don't bite off more than you can chew. You know, don't make your eyes bigger than your belly. And I feel like your eyes were a little bigger than your belly at first because you're like, I'm going to do all Thanksgiving jokes. But then you haven't had that many to choose from.
Starting point is 01:00:12 Well, I've had a many, but you haven't liked them. No, no, no, just in general. They haven't been that good. Because there's not. That's what I mean. Okay, but you're now riding your own? Yeah. Did you write this one?
Starting point is 01:00:23 Yeah. Eddie and I did. Oh, wow. Okay, here we go. Let's do this. The Morning Corny. How does Arnold Schwarzenegger leave the Thanksgiving dinner? How does Arnold Schwarzenegger leave the Thanksgiving dinner?
Starting point is 01:00:39 Astila Vista gravy. That's pretty funny. Come on, you two. Yeah. Come on, you two. Atta lavita grave. Yeah. Should I say, how does he say goodbye to everybody?
Starting point is 01:00:51 You can do that too. Do that one. Okay. Because I said, how does he leave? No, no, no, no. But don't know. The joke on. We have to fine tune it.
Starting point is 01:00:57 But you fine tune it off the same. stayed. You did it. It's good. That auto la beat the gravy. That's good. There it is. That was the morning corny. It's a Bobby Bonn show. I did my list of favorite songs on the radio right now. I get asked that a lot, so I always have it ready. Bami, I'm curious, what's your favorite song right now on the radio? I'm really into Russell Dickerson, every little thing. Yeah, that's good, huh? Every little. Every little. Yeah, it's good. Every little. Every little. I was talking to Russell Dickerson. She's wife the other night at a charity event, which, by the way, she's a lovely, lovely lady, woman, girl.
Starting point is 01:01:39 I don't know. What do you call her? What would you classify her? A lady, a woman or a girl? She's a woman, right? She's a woman, for sure, but it's weird to say she's a lovely woman. So she's a little girl. But even that, she's lovely?
Starting point is 01:01:53 She's lovely. She's a lovely person. There we go. There you go. And so we were talking to this charity event. And she apparently went to music school and is a really good singer, but is like, eh, I'm not going to sing. She just, like, runs business for Russell. Do you know that?
Starting point is 01:02:10 I don't think I knew about her singing, but I knew she worked alongside him. That's so interesting. Yeah, yeah, they're like a business power couple. Yeah. That's your favorite song, Every little thing. Every little, every little, ever little things about your love. Well, here is the list that I gave to this interview. I think they're going to run it today.
Starting point is 01:02:28 Here are my favorite three songs on right now. The first one is Morgan Wallin, Chasing You. Check this one out. Here you go. Chasing you. It's getting burning going down. Barting going down. Chasing you realize.
Starting point is 01:02:50 So that's a good song. He's going to go play the St. Jude Radiothon. And I'm going to try to get him to play that one. But that's just a really good song. It's called Chasing You. Also, Ingrid Andres, and her song More Hearts Than Mine is so good, too. Here's that. She's pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:03:18 I mean, I guess she didn't have a song out yet. I didn't know when I brought her into play on the show the first time that she had never done a radio interview before. And I always think that's pretty cool because they're always so good interviews because they don't know any better. That makes sense? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:03:30 They haven't been trained or anything. And I was like, hey, this girl's real good. Let's bring her up. And she comes up and she plays. And she plays part of that song. And then I was talking to her after. I was like, you've been doing my interview? She's like, I've never done an interview before.
Starting point is 01:03:42 And so, yeah, and that song is like top 20 now. She's the On the verge artist. so that's pretty cool. And then I give you one more. Not a country song, but Maroon 5 has a song called Memories. I love this song. Do you know it, Amy?
Starting point is 01:03:57 I don't. Okay. You know, people get Maroon 5 a hard time. All they do is put out good songs. Yeah, here, check it out. Here's to the ones that we got. Cheers to the wish you were here, but you're not,
Starting point is 01:04:09 because I drinks bring back all the memories of everything we've been through. Tones to the ones that it has. Toast to the ones that we lost on the way Cause the drinks bring back all the memories And the memories bring back memories bring back your Yeah, it's good, man I like it
Starting point is 01:04:29 Yeah, it's good And so that So that's in that song And I love when they sample a song It's I'm listening to it And Mike D.R and I are in the car yesterday And we're like, what is that song? Because we're in New York
Starting point is 01:04:43 We did a Luke Combs thing last night We're in the back of the car, and I'm going, da-da-na-na-da-da-da-da-da, because that's what that is in that song. And our driver goes, that's a classical song. I was like, oh, it's the wedding song. Here it's called, the actual title of this is Canon in D. D minor or something.
Starting point is 01:05:04 Canon and D minor? Okay, here's the actual song. Play it for me. That's what that is. That Maroon 5 song. This was our wedding song when we walked down the aisle and meet my wife. Your wedding song was Maroon 5 memories? It wasn't even out yet.
Starting point is 01:05:21 No, this one. Oh. Yeah, but yeah, that's the thing. Maroon 5 Memories is basically that song. Isn't that cool? Love it. Yeah. Anyway, I'm a nerd.
Starting point is 01:05:31 I thought about the all day yesterday. I was like, I can't wait to tell Amy this fun fact. And then she's like, love it. I did. No, I think it was fun. You have no interest to my nerdy facts. I don't go nerdy on it, but it is interesting. Like, I don't, you could probably ask me tomorrow and I probably won't remember.
Starting point is 01:05:48 Amy could never sing that Coleswindell song and Amy actually told him that to his face He was like, man, listen She's like, I know you had a number one song But I couldn't sing it back to you What do you say? He just said, well, I told him the one part That did stick with me
Starting point is 01:06:01 And he said, yeah, that's great He's like, we kind of wrote that saying If people have this one part That they take away with him, then that's great And now I can't even think of what that is. What is it? A wide open, wide open. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:06:18 It's a Bobby Bones show. A screenshot of this picture, and it's an MRI of a mom kissing her baby for the first time, right? And so the baby's being born. And you don't see, like, the skin or anything. It really is, you see the brain and, like, the facial structure. And it says her kiss has caused a chemical reaction in her baby's brain. And you can see inside the baby's brain, and it shows where the hormone oxytocin, whatever that is, that is like the affection hormone is like boom released.
Starting point is 01:06:50 Wow. And you can see where that love and that attachment is affecting the baby's brain and the mom's brain. And I saw it and thought it was pretty crazy. Wow, yeah. My brain instantly goes to that. I'm not trying to make this negative because it's such a beautiful thing. But because my kids are adopted, my heart instantly hurts for them because I know that they know that they don't have that connection. Like even as babies,
Starting point is 01:07:18 well, in our adoption training, we learned that that attachment disorder, so even if you part ways with your birth mother at birth and you think, oh, they're a baby, they're young, they don't know, like their bodies know. And they experience trauma and stress
Starting point is 01:07:34 because of that detachment. Isn't that crazy? Well, not really, because my therapist tells me that's what happened to me. Right. Yeah. Very similar. Like significantly, significantly as a baby that, again, I wasn't going to go there. But yeah, she's like, you didn't have that attachment because, you know, your mom wasn't there that often.
Starting point is 01:07:53 There wasn't that love and that chemical isn't used to being produced because it was never produced. So, and I guess maybe that's why I was struck by it so much because it really is a beautiful picture. It's, yeah, I mean, that's amazing. Like, and it just shows how important that is. And then you, I mean, I get we can't, not everything's going to be picture perfect like that. And others, like, Eddie even being a foster dad to a baby.
Starting point is 01:08:18 Like others have to step in and fill that void, but nothing is like the chemical reaction from the biological parent. Hey Eddie, let me ask you a question about your foster baby. Yeah. Does your wife try to hug the baby a lot and like, like I don't really know the word for it, but does she try to like squeeze it, show it like physical affection so it can somewhat feel what it's missing from the baby's mom?
Starting point is 01:08:43 Yeah, I think early on it was really important to have that, you know, I think they call it tummy time or no, not tummy time. It's like skin to skin contact. So where an infant, a newborn comes out and they want to have that close to skin to skin. And they, I mean, everyone that we talk to suggested we do that with a baby just so the baby just doesn't feel like what you guys are talking about. So yeah, we did that for a long time. And now we just, I mean, we just do things that we would normally do if that child was our own. Yeah. So I think that hopefully the baby just for.
Starting point is 01:09:13 feels like we are the birth parents if that's what he needs to feel. Well, not to be weird, but Eddie, can I get some tummy time with you? I don't even know what that is. Skin to skin. Yeah. We'll do skin to skin this weekend, but. I'm definitely down for some tummy time. That sounds great.

Starting point is 01:13:14 Tell me something good. Well, this might be one of the cutest things ever. This guy, Philip, he's worried about stray cats that are out and about in the, you know, wild, but they need a place to go to stay warm. So he got rubber-made coolers. He drills a six-inch hole in each side and fills them with straws. Then he puts them around his community so cats can get inside and ride out the winter storm in their little rubber-made cooler. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:13:41 Yeah. Yeah, that's pretty cool. Do you know I saw a story about this animal shelter that had a bunch of cats, but one cat was really smart and figured out how to get out? Saw that. So they put that one cat in solitary confinement because he was teaching the other cats how to escape? I know. Do you see that story?
Starting point is 01:13:58 I did. And crazy. Good for him, though, for helping those animals out. That's what it's all about. Yep. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bones Show. We're about to play a trivia game where all the questions are really easy.
Starting point is 01:14:10 and as long as you get it right, you get to stay in the game. Very easy trivia questions. For example, this is one example here. Radio City Music Hall is located in which city? Any example, go ahead. New York City. New York City. There it is.
Starting point is 01:14:26 Now it's so easy. So we're going to play easy trivia. Let me say this real quick. Tomorrow night, Eddie and I will be in Louisville, the Raging Idiots in Louisville. Not many tickets left. Saturday night in Birmingham, not many tickets left. Ragingidiotes.com. Okay, folks, time for easy trivia.
Starting point is 01:14:44 Amy, you're up first. Okay, hit me. How many kings would you find in a standard deck of playing cards? What? It's easy. What do you mean what? Easy. Four.
Starting point is 01:14:57 Four. What is your answer? Four. Okay. Correct. Okay, thank you. Lunchbox. Yep.
Starting point is 01:15:05 What popular board game involves trying to solve who carried out a murder? Clue. He says it's clue. The answer is Clue. It's a good game. Eddie. Come on.
Starting point is 01:15:19 What's the capital of Mexico? Mexico City. Correct. If you got that wrong, I've been like Chiwawa. All right. Round number two, the questions get a little harder, but they're still easy. It's easy trivia. Amy.
Starting point is 01:15:38 Yep. What insect, often black or brown, can live up to two weeks with. its head cut off. Whoa. What? I took entomology. I should know this. An insect black or brown.
Starting point is 01:15:54 I think it's a roach. All right. Show me a roach. Wow. Wow. That's good, Amy. Shout out to my professor at Texas A&M.
Starting point is 01:16:05 What was her name? Amy's getting very dramatic about every question, though. And she's getting it. Every time I read it, she's like, what? No way! I'm going to say 2 plus 2 is 4, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:16:17 We're like, what? Okay. Lunchbox. On the Celsius scale, and what temperature does water boil? On the Celsius scale, there are two scales, obviously. On the Celsius scale, what temperature is water boil? You know it. It's easy.
Starting point is 01:16:38 So easy. It's so easy to know water boils. 172. 172. Interesting number. You got your other two know it? Yeah. What is it?
Starting point is 01:16:53 212. No, that's Fahrenheit. We're on Fahrenheit. Celsius is what everybody else in the world is. It's zero to freeze 100 to boil. Oh, 100. Yeah. There you go.
Starting point is 01:17:04 Why would I know? Missed. I didn't even listen. I just heard boil and I was like, I know the answer. I got cocky. Eddie? Come on. Complete this line from Dr. Seuss's well-known book. Green eggs and ham.

Starting point is 01:17:57 I'm telling you. Okay, your answer is Europe. Yes! Ah! Okay. This is so hard. It's not, it's easy trivia. Yeah, until you're under the pressure of knowing it and even if you know it, you doubt
Starting point is 01:18:13 everything in you. Eddie. Come on. Super Mario Brothers. You familiar with it? with them? Of course. What are the professions of Super Mario and his brother Luigi? I got this. They're plumbers. Oh, I was just the carpenters.
Starting point is 01:18:30 No, that's Jesus. They're plumbers? Okay. It gets a little harder. Are you ready? See. What city was divided by a wall from 1961 to 1989? Berlin. Wow. Don't mess with me right now.
Starting point is 01:18:49 We're not messing. Eddie. Come on. How much is passing Go worth in the game of Monopoly? Oh, you get paid. So in Monopoly, it's a famous board game. America loves it. When you pass a go, you collect how much money?
Starting point is 01:19:06 I'm going to go with $200. This is amazing. I did not know that. You cannot believe I got that. All right. We have a tie here. Amy. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:19:20 How many faces are featured on the Mount Rushmore National Memorial Sculpture? Four! Take that. All right. Eddie. Come on. Ebenezer Scrooge is a main character in what Christmas story? What?
Starting point is 01:19:38 Ebenezer Scrooge is the absolute main character in what Christmas story? What story, what movie, all of it? I believe it's a Christmas carol. Ooh! Is that right? I don't know. Okay Okay
Starting point is 01:19:57 Getting a little harder guys This is crazy, this is crazy Raining for 21 years Amy Yeah Cleopatra was a pharaoh in what country Cleopatra A Pharaoh in what country You got this
Starting point is 01:20:13 Egypt Yeah you got that Okay go go go Eddie Come on The largest hot desert in the world on which continent would you find the Sahara Desert Oh, you got me on that.
Starting point is 01:20:31 That was so cocky. The largest hot desert in the world on which continent would you find the Sahara Desert? It's got to be Africa. Show me Africa. Yeah! Okay, guys, we're now to sudden death. That's one question.
Starting point is 01:20:47 Here we go. Any harder, it doesn't get easy. It's not easy anymore. So we're now to sudden death. I'm going to ask you who sings a certain. song and you buzz in by yep. Okay. I'm kind of good at this Amy.
Starting point is 01:21:00 Eddie's brain is so much better at those. You buzz in by yelling your name. That's your buzzer. Amy, are you ready? Ready. Eddie, are you ready? Ready, bones. Who sings the song?
Starting point is 01:21:14 C is for cookie. Eddie. Eddie. Cookie monster. Correct! Yeah! He heard that. See is for cookie.
Starting point is 01:21:28 Cookie. Gogi. See his vocal. Wow. Wow, wow, wow. Amy, that was a good game. Hey, you too. You played a great game. Although, Eddie, you are the winner.
Starting point is 01:21:40 Thank you, bones. So much so the listeners are giving you a nickname. What is that? How do you say win in Spanish? Ganad. What is it? Ganad? Ganad?
Starting point is 01:21:49 Yeah, all you do is Ganad. Yeah, I'll take it. Wow, wow, wow. That's it. Okay. Shit. Hey, so you know, Amy, if you pull up your phone and you hit Bluetooth, it'll show you every device near you that could be connected to Bluetooth.
Starting point is 01:22:07 Yes. And you have to like pair of them and make sure. But what's happening now is that if you leave your electronics in your car, like your phone or anything on, someone could go by and just open up Bluetooth and see what's near them. They can walk by cars. And if something pops up and they know what's in there, they can break into a car and steal it. Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah, that's a good thing to remember. Because sometimes I keep my computer in my car and I hide it and I'm like, no one will ever know that it's in here, but not unless they turn on the Bluetooth and they see Amy's computer.
Starting point is 01:22:39 If your computer is off, they can't find it, right? Okay. I don't turn it off. Well, if it's closed even, you do close it, right? Yeah. Okay. So they can't find it then. Okay, but phone they could. Phones, headphones, and I don't know why you have your computer on, but they also have, and they're relatively inexpensive, these Bluetooth scanners, which doesn't even need to find. phone to do it, they can just go boop and they can find everything like in this little radius that has a Bluetooth and then kind of walk to it and bust into cars and take whatever. Okay, so we should go into our phone and turn Bluetooth off.
Starting point is 01:23:09 No, just take stuff in with you. Don't leave in your car. Oh, okay. I think that's the moral. That's the more you know. If you have something valuable, try not to leave it in your car. That's right. Or don't steal. Okay. On a cultural
Starting point is 01:23:26 level, yes. But we're not going to change that. We're just trying to help people out. And if you do have to put it in your car, put it in the trunk. It's hard to steal out of the trunk. You got to bust the window. And anyone looking to bus in a car, especially daytime or where there's people, they want to get in and out quick. They want to hit it and quit it, as they say. That's not what they're saying. That's not what that tournament is? I don't know. Oh, well, they want to get in the car and get out. So they're not going to bust a window and then go pull
Starting point is 01:23:53 the seats back and slowly crawl in and see what's in the trunk. So you can put it in the trunk there. You with me? Yep. I just never thought about that until I saw in the news that you can actually find Bluetooth things. You know what else people do? They find who is near you on AirDrop and they just send you goofy pictures or pictures of their privates. Yeah, that's scary.
Starting point is 01:24:12 It's happened to my friend at a coffee shop. What do you mean? She got like airdropped a dirty pick or something. Dirty pick. Which one? What do you mean which one? Which dirty part? Of a guy or a girl? A guy!
Starting point is 01:24:27 of his... You never know, Amy. Yeah, Amy, let's not be sexist here. I am going to be sexist here. What sex do you think sent that picture to coffee shop to somebody as a guy? That's just weird. What a guy, is he doing it as a joke or is he doing
Starting point is 01:24:42 it to think a girl would like that? I don't know. Don't ask me. I don't know. Did she accept it? No, but it popped up. Will you accept in the pictures in the thing? You can see it right away. The picture of the things in the thing?
Starting point is 01:24:56 Yeah, it shows. on your screen, it's not like it's a blank screen that says, do you want to accept this and then know what the picture is? It's like, do you want to accept this and the photo's right there? Well, also, though, you can turn your, your, uh, air drop to just don't accept everyone, right? Only accept contacts. So maybe your friend's looking, you know? Maybe she meets somebody. She wasn't. Okay. I'll give you one other scam that's happening right now. Okay. There's this guy. He was in prison and he had access to the internet and he was able to scam about a million dollars out of people doing one of those Nigerian scams.
Starting point is 01:25:30 Wow. Where they're like, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So he had internet access. Yeah, and there are some of them that are so good. Not the Nigerian with me. And I don't think I've been fished yet. But I would get one that goes, hey, have you seen you're in this video?
Starting point is 01:25:48 And you're like, and they put a link. And I'm like, I'm in this video. What am I doing? Or is it on the new? And you all, that's the one that almost got me. Have you guys ever almost been gotten by? something? Amy, you? I don't think so. No.
Starting point is 01:26:02 You're just too smart for them? No. I know that like the almost click things, but I learned a long time ago not to click links that come from a, like an email. Don't click it from the email. Like PayPal got me once where I clicked the link in the email and it wasn't really PayPal and it had me re-enter my info and then they hacked me. So what you have to do is get the email and if you're concerned about it, go out of that browser and go to pay. Paypal.com, log in, and then see if there's any notifications for you. Well, 15 seconds ago, you said you never got got.
Starting point is 01:26:35 Well, except for that one time. I'm saying, because I remember exactly what it happened. I lived in North Carolina and I went to Chick-fil-A. And I was going to the drive-thru, and my credit card got declined. And I couldn't pay for my Chick-Villet. And I was so bummed. And my husband was in Afghanistan. And I was just trying to live life.
Starting point is 01:26:54 And I was like, why isn't my card declined? and then I realized PayPal, I got got by a fake PayPal account. And then ever since then, I've been on guard. No, I have not been hacked. And you got LifeLock, too, by the way. I did. Maybe that's what helped. Ever happened with you?
Starting point is 01:27:08 Oh, yeah. On Facebook, I got a message that says, look, you were on the news. And I clicked on it. And guess what? I wasn't on the news. And I had to change my password because I was hacked. They got you. Eddie, anything?
Starting point is 01:27:19 When we were moving to Nashville, I remember looking for a house. And I contacted the person because I really like this house. It was in a nice neighborhood. And they said, no problem. We can totally get you this house. Send us $1,000 in the check. The owner is in Europe right now, but he'll get to you as soon as he can. And we were about to do it because we thought it was a great deal.
Starting point is 01:27:37 But we're like, it sounds fishy. We called the realtor. It was non-existent. But you didn't send the money, right? We did not send the money. Thank goodness. Morgan number two, ever almost been scammed? Yeah, somebody tried to get into my I-Cloud account.
Starting point is 01:27:50 They had texted me and said, you need to change your password. Somebody's trying to get into it. and click through the link. The link was legit. And then I had to send back my code. So they were trying to hack me through the verification code. I mean, I got hacked after I wanted dancing with the stars. We couldn't get it out of it.
Starting point is 01:28:06 Oh, yeah. Twitter. And yeah, our Twitter got hacked. And they were just like, I'm the worst dancer ever. I suck. I can't believe I should have never won. And most of it I agreed with. So, I mean, we didn't rush to take it all down.

Starting point is 01:31:54 So sometimes we just like to check in with her and seeing what she's thinking about and caring about and doing. And here's a segment, what do 26 year olds care about? Here we go. Christmas is coming up and the elf movie everybody obviously loves. And there's a hotel room in New York City that's being turned into like an elf movie hotel room. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:32:21 They inspired it by that movie and it has paper snowflakes, a towering Christmas tree, a Lego replica of the Empire State Building, and loads of like sugary snacks for you to eat. Candy, candy cane, candy corn, syrup. You get it all? Such a good movie. I'm looking at a picture of it. Does it say how hard it is to get this hotel room? It doesn't, but up to where.
Starting point is 01:32:45 four people can reserve it and you can do it from November 25th all the way past Christmas. So there's plenty of time. That room's got to be book quick though, right? If it's one room, it does look pretty cool. I'm looking at a picture of it. And we'll put it up on our Facebook page. Just search Bobby Bone Show. Everybody loves Elf, right?
Starting point is 01:33:00 Yeah, love. Yeah. Like that one, again, tough to make a new Christmas movie that will last the test of time. But I think now we've seen that Elf will do it. So, all right, there is. Hey, by the way, Morgan number two, before we jump out of your segment, I know that we, I kind of giving you the home. homework for you to pick a winning song.
Starting point is 01:33:18 And so I know that tomorrow you're actually going to reveal us your three songs, right? Yeah, I got three options. Let me just know what one of them is going to be. So Morgan Number Two doesn't have a winning song if she wins a game. Tomorrow she will reveal those three songs, but what is one of them possibly? Bruno Mars 24K Magic. Okay, okay. Hold on me envision this.
Starting point is 01:33:43 Morgan Number two wins a game. And I'm like, there she is. There's a winner. Morgan number two, hit it. Not bad. That feels good. What job? Yeah, there's something with it.
Starting point is 01:33:53 We can all dance. Okay. All right. We'll hear the other two tomorrow? Yes. Okay. This time tomorrow we'll get all three of Morgan number two's winning songs. She has that wrestling belt that she won from the draft.
Starting point is 01:34:03 She flants it. Sitting right in front of me always. Flawning it over there. It's a Bobby Bones show. Experts want to never eat tuna more than once a day, which is crazy because there are times in my life where I've been trying to cut weight or I'm not a boxer, but really drop weight for like something, like a fancy event or TV.
Starting point is 01:34:23 And I would eat tuna 13 mils in a row. Wow. I really go tuna-centric. Yeah, you can't do that. But did you know that? Yeah, I've known that because of the mercury. A new study found that people on strict tuna diets might be ODing on tuna. That's crazy.
Starting point is 01:34:40 I'm surprised you guys didn't find me up in an attic somewhere, OD'd on tuna. That's how we lose you. Why don't you do D on the tuna, UOD on the mercury? I got tuna coming out of the side of my mouth. They're like, I think he's gone, folks. How do you know? The mercury coming out of his eyeballs. Yeah, small amounts of tuna are fine, but they can make you sick with headaches, vision problems, and morning sickness.
Starting point is 01:35:02 I had no idea. If you're eating more than five tunas a week, you're probably going to, body's going to not digest and you get sick. Whatever. I don't believe it. You can just believe whatever stories you want nowadays because there'll be another one soon that said you have. I think that one's pretty, like, believable because doctors have been saying it for years. And, like, if you're pregnant, you probably definitely shouldn't eat tuna. So I'd listen to that one.
Starting point is 01:35:25 I've learned my lesson. Let's see what's happening today. Amy, what's going on? Thursday, the show's over. What do you be doing? I'm getting ready. Like, today is the day where I am getting out some Christmas stuff. We're going to go full-blown decorating this weekend because my family's coming in town.
Starting point is 01:35:39 My sister, her husband, and her four kids. And so I've got to leave town to go to Austin for a little bit, like, for a wedding. on Saturday, so today's like my day to help get it like all organized. I'm pumped. God, what about you? Well, I've been preparing tuna sandwiches for the rest of the week, but I guess I'm not going to have all those. Uh-uh. I got to fly back, I've been in New York today, so I'm going to fly back home. I have a speaking engagement tonight where I'm talking to a lot of business leaders that have gathered in Nashville, luckily it's in Nashville, and I'm going to speak to them about failure and success in that order. and so I'm going to go sign books and speak for an hour tonight.
Starting point is 01:36:18 And I love the fact that I get to speak it near my house. So, yeah, and I get to where I have a head-head mic in like a TED Talk mic. Oh. I always like it when I can break that out. I like to have my hands free, you know? What about your fun prompter thingy? I don't need it for this one. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:36:34 I don't think I do anyway. But yeah, yeah, yeah, that's tonight. And we'll see tomorrow. Jason Aldeen should be in tomorrow. As far as we know, he's coming in, right, Mike? Yep. Jason Addean should be in studio tomorrow. So that'd be cool.

Starting point is 01:37:22 And then she answered a question about being a stepmom. Like I had a listener send in a question because Tricia's a stepmom to Garth's kids. So just got some life advice and wisdom from her on some things. So that's up. It's fun. T.Y over A.B.'s house, N-B-D.
Starting point is 01:37:38 Mm-hmm. Look at you with your fancy friends. Y-E-P. What sex does that mean? Yep. That made no sense whatsoever. It derailed us. Let me brag on your podcast, Amy.
Starting point is 01:37:50 I look at monthly numbers. You're just doing so good. It is just growing like crazy, like a weed that needs some roundup. Except sometimes I see those Roundup commercials. Oh, yeah. And like 1 a.m., they're like, have you ever used Roundup? Are you dying? Call us.
Starting point is 01:38:04 Right. And I'm like, then I'm thinking back, I'd probably use Roundup at some point. I should probably call them. I used to do maintenance on a golf course. Probably should. Tuna, Roundup, I'm going quick. I'm going much quicker than I thought. We'll see you guys tomorrow. Have a great day. Show's over. Bye, everybody. Get your Bobby Bones on.
