Starting point is 00:02:00 We're transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Now, here you. Turn it up. Come, Bobby. Boy Studio. Morning.
Starting point is 00:02:11 Amy told me a funny story about how she was shamed at the store. Did you tell them this or no? I haven't told anybody yet. What happened? Okay. Well, I got shamed by the cashier for buying everything they had left of one particular item. I'm obsessed with these vital protein sleep shots. What is that?
Starting point is 00:02:27 It's like a, it's a little shot that has like, I don't know, melatonin, lavender, and you just throw it back. I have no idea if it's placebo effect, but I take these and I'm sleeping better. It's like my sleep juice. And I want them all. And Amazon was sold out. So I couldn't order any. Well, I called the store and they had, they got some in. Like, I called ahead.
Starting point is 00:02:46 Like, I wasn't going to drive over there if they didn't have it. So I get all the way there and they have, like, I don't know, nine left. And so I grab all nine and I go to the counter and I'm buying any. you know this is the only nine we have left. And I was like, yep, take them all, please. That'll give me nine nights. And he's like, well, these are really popular. You know, like some people are going to come in and be disappointed that they're all gone now.
Starting point is 00:03:11 And I'm like, what is, I mean, I'm a paying customer. I'm here to buy these. Like, I felt he was making me feel like I should go put them back on the shelf and I should not be. There was no limit. Sometimes stores will be like only two per customer, blah, blah, blah, blah. no limit. And by the way, they were on sale, bonus. So I was really wanting to buy them up. And he just made me feel bad. And then I thought in my head, you know what? No, this is America. Oh, wow. USA. Why are you hit him with that? Think about that.
Starting point is 00:03:39 In my head. In my head. And I was like, I'm not going to have you make me feel bad for wanting to buy these. Life's not fair. And people should know that. So if they didn't call ahead to find out y'all had them in stock and come drive all the way over here to grab them. Because let me tell you, I called. And as soon as they said they had them, I got my car and I went there and I got them because I know how quickly they sell out. And so I bought him all, but he definitely made me feel bad. Like I was a bad person, like bad, like not thoughtful, like not caring about. Did he feel like did he somewhat convince you that you were a bad person? Yeah, I mean, he wasn't cool about it. If I was, if I knew my employee was doing that to customers, I'd be like, what, like, that's not really how we should make customers feel.
Starting point is 00:04:20 So I don't know. Was I, was I wrong for taking all nine or should I have taken? four and left five for five other. Well, I don't think you're describing it, right. You didn't take them, you bought them. You paid for them. That's right. You're absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:04:33 My hard earned money. You want to go buy nine of them, or you're going to go buy 90 of them? This is a store. That's where they sell. Yeah, yeah. In America. Yeah. So, honestly.
Starting point is 00:04:43 That's what I should have said to him. I don't care if this is nine or if you had 90. I'd be buying them all, especially because they're a dollar off right now. You did nothing wrong. And for him to go, ooh, you don't know these people? No, I don't know them. Oh, and life's not fair. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:04:56 The owner of the store probably say, hey, cashier, shut up. We're trying to make a buck. In America, we have capitalism. Exactly. You put something out. If people want to buy it, they buy it. So obviously they wanted to move them or they wouldn't take it. You're absolutely right.
Starting point is 00:05:07 Does anyone disagree with me? No. It wasn't like they were free. Like lunchboxes if he's ever walking by a soup kitchen and they're like, oh, free soup, he'd take it all. Right. There's a difference in that because that's taking free stuff. Right.
Starting point is 00:05:19 But Amy could have gone back in three or four days and got more. There's no need to buy nine. And she's not going to drink nine and one night. I don't want to drive back over there. It's 20 minutes from my house. Didn't you used to work at Sam's Club? I did work at Sam's Club. And isn't the whole point of Sam's Club to buy bulk of things so you don't have to go back?
Starting point is 00:05:33 Yes. So that's the whole purpose of that. Yeah, I was buying in bulk. I am just saying Amy could have bought three and then ordered them on Amazon like she normally does and had helped her fellow customer out. But instead, she wanted to hog him for herself. Hey, if you want to be selfish, I like being selfish. This is how the guy made me feel.
Starting point is 00:05:48 I'm with you. I'm with you. I'm with you. I don't want to think of other people. From my heart, you're absolutely right. Thank you. You did you. It's not charity.
Starting point is 00:05:57 It's money. Now I have them in my fridge. There you go. Yeah, and someone else can't sleep at night. And I'm going to take one tonight. They're losing sleep. They're going to be late for work. I mean, wow.
Starting point is 00:06:06 It's a Bobby Bones show. On Twitter, they were talking about movies that move people to tears, but not sad. Like, you watch it, and you're just so emotional because something happens in that movie. You know, what is it? Amy, you're first. Pursuit of Happiness. Oh, that's such a good movie. Will Smith.
Starting point is 00:06:22 Yeah, because it's a true story. Everything about it just gives you the feels. And, yeah, so that one. That's a good one. So good. It was like two and a half hours of a struggle. Right. And the whole time you're just like, oh, if you feel so bad.
Starting point is 00:06:37 Then it's the end. Butterfly. It's a beautiful. Yeah, that's a good one. Will Smith is out of Suicide Squad. Do you see that? He pulled out the second one? Let's go to Mike D who knows all the stuff about science fiction movies.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Why do Will Smith pull out of Suicide Squad too? I think he doesn't think it's going to be any good because he got so much hate on the first one that he's out. He got a bunch of hate for that? Yeah. Everybody said I hated that movie. Oh, I didn't hate it. People just like to say they hate things. You can either love it, but it's much easier to hate it and nobody wants to be mad about anything.
Starting point is 00:07:06 You just go, that's pretty good. Because you know why? You don't get heard when you say that was pretty good. You get heard if you're on Facebook or Instagram going, I hate this. That's how people always want to get hurt. All right, thank you, Mike Dee. I think mine would be Rudy. at the end of Rudy? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:21 When he gets in the game and the crowd's going, Rudy, and then he goes, it's the best. It's powerful. So good. Right? Yes. You've seen Rudy, right, Amy?
Starting point is 00:07:29 Yes. Do you feel like good? Yes, I have all the feels for Rudy and like, yes. Just for like different reasons. The underdog. Yeah. I mean, I'm not into the football side of thing, but it's not a, to me, that's not a football movie.
Starting point is 00:07:41 It's so much bigger than that. Yeah, I would agree it's bigger than that. It's about life. And like, I've played football, but only through high school, and I wonder if somebody who played in college, would feel strongly. But, like, Lunchbox never played football, but he's still as a football guy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:52 Right. I would go Rudy. Lunchbox? I have to go remember the Titans. I mean, it is all about bringing a community together and overcoming the odds and integration and just, like, standing up for what you believe it. I mean, there is one scene when two best friends in that movie and one guy takes a stand against his best friend, and you're just like, wow.
Starting point is 00:08:15 I mean, that movie is powerful. That's a good one. Morgan number two, what about you? What movie makes you really happy so that you get a little emotional? It's Matilda. Have you guys heard of that movie? Excuse me? Matilda?
Starting point is 00:08:25 With a little girl from Mrs. Doubtfire? Yeah. I think she's from Miss Doubtfire, yeah. Okay. I don't know that movie. I'm listening. Well, it's about this little girl in her journey. She has really bad parents, and then her teacher ends up adopting her at the end.
Starting point is 00:08:38 It just makes you laugh. It makes you angry. And then by the end, you're just so happy. You cry. How old is that movie? Should I watch that one or no? Oh, that's a good one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Wow. Came out in 1970. 90% positive on rock tomatoes. I watched her growing up all the time. My daughter likes it. Matilda. Eddie, do you have one? Yeah, I'm going to go old school.
Starting point is 00:08:56 Go ahead. Rocky. And Rocky won. Spoiler alert, when he wins at the end and he goes, or maybe it's Rocky 2. He doesn't win Rocky 1. Adrian! Yeah. I did it!
Starting point is 00:09:08 Like that brings tears from my eyes every single time. And they play it probably once a month, twice a month now. Still, it's so good. You can go to our Facebook page and tell us what movie that you love so much. We're going to do a love here, Facebook people, and I'm not going to go look at it because Facebook puts me at a bad place. Bad place. Don't go there. But we're going to.
Starting point is 00:09:25 But if you do want to go there, go to our Facebook page. What movie brings you to tears? Because it's so moving. Not sad, but it's so movie. It's a Bobby Bones show. Tell that story, lunchbox. So there's this lady. She posted on Reddit.
Starting point is 00:09:39 She's married and they've been trying to have a kid. 29 pregnancy tests, no baby. Try the hold hormone injections. No baby. And finally, the husband confessed, I had a vasectomy when I was married to my ex-wife because I didn't want to get her pregnant. And she said, now, you either agree to me having a donor, you get it reversed, or we're getting divorced. Like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, divorced over this just because you can't have kids? Well, I think he lied to her.
Starting point is 00:10:09 That's dishonest. Yeah. And she was going through fertility stuff on her end, thinking that something was maybe wrong with her and the stress that that adds. and then it's all became. He knew playing along with that that he had a vasectomy. 29 pregnancy tests, which means the emotional roller coaster of that. Oh, yeah. Every single one of those. Hormone injections, which means messing with her body.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Like, why would he even want to go through that with her? Like, it's miserable for her and for him. That's what she said. She said three years of painful, invasive, and expensive fertility treatment. Yes. And he lied to me. Yeah. He watched her go through that and didn't ever once think to pipe up and say,
Starting point is 00:10:45 sorry, nothing's wrong. You don't need to inject yourself with those hormones and make yourself feel totally nuts. I had a vasectomy. No, that's really, that's bad. Right? I thought it was bad too, but lunchbox thinks she's overreacting. I think she's being drama-filled. If you love somebody, you want to be with them.
Starting point is 00:11:01 You didn't marry them for kids. You married them because you love them. Right, but then you fall a little less out of love with them and they lie to you for three years while you're injecting yourself with hormones. Or maybe you got together because you had similar dreams of having children. Yeah. What did he tell our first? about that?
Starting point is 00:11:16 Let me see. According to her post on Reddit, it doesn't have that. No. It just says that she feels lied to and she's talking about divorce. Yeah. I'm on team dude. I don't know. Yes.
Starting point is 00:11:25 Yeah. I'm on team, team her. Yeah. Team wife. I'm on team wife. Thank you. You're on team wife?
Starting point is 00:11:32 Yeah, I'm on team wife. Like, I mean, I, if they want to work it out, I hope that they're able to, but I do not think she's being typical drama-filled woman. If I found out someone that lied to me for three years about something that big, I don't know if I'd ever trust him again. Like she was altering her body to make it work, and he knew all along that she didn't need that stuff. I'm team wife, Amy?
Starting point is 00:11:54 Team wife. I'm team dude, because when you say your vowels, it's till death do his part, not to, he tells me a little white lie. White lie. White lie. Pretty ready? I mean, I'm going to team marriage.
Starting point is 00:12:05 They said reversals an option. Just reverse it and get over it. But how do you trust? We lied for three years. But there's a solution at the end. Oh, my gosh. That's what I like about this story. Morgan number two?
Starting point is 00:12:16 Yeah, there's hope. I'm definitely team wife. Yeah. Ray, when we know? Team guy. What? I'm crazy. You guys are out of your mind.
Starting point is 00:12:26 Okay. You can go to our Facebook page if we want to see this story and comment on it. Anyone that would be team guy, they probably lie. I just don't even get the... Bunch of liars. A bunch of liars in here. You don't get the what? I just, him watching her, like, inject herself and go through that.
Starting point is 00:12:43 Amy, 30 pregnancy tests. Yes, I know. The roller cry. Struggle all that time. Guys, he probably cried too because you can still get pregnant when you have a vasectomy. There's miracles that do happen. So maybe he was emotionally invested also. Stop it.

Starting point is 00:15:42 signs from above. Like you ever go, oh, that's a sign I should do this? Yeah. Because how I feel is, if we're looking for a sign, we're going to find it. If I'm looking for a sign to do Action A, I'm going to look hard enough to find that sign. But what if you're not looking in, then it's just boom in front of your face. Obviously, this is about Amy. That's what I'm leading into over here.
Starting point is 00:16:05 Okay. So tell them what happened. Because I was just having a not-so-great parenting day, not feeling really awesome about my parenting skills, if you will. I just kept failing left and right. And then as I'm feeling the lowest of low, I pull up to a red light and the car to the right of me
Starting point is 00:16:22 has a magnetic sign on their door that says parenting coach. www.parentingcoach.org Linda Ray Miller. And I'm like, Linda, is this a sign? I mean, I don't know
Starting point is 00:16:38 Linda, but she's sitting next to me in this car. I took a picture. I have it on my phone. I have done anything with it. I don't know if I should go to the website, get the number, call Linda, but it just felt like am I missing this opportunity to enhance my parenting skills via Linda? Eddie, yes. Amy, I hate to ran on your parade, but what if this is that targeting marketing that people talk about where they know who you are and what you're going through? It's like Instagram feed of cars. Yes. The live version. Yes. Do you think you need parent coaching? Maybe. Are you considering calling her?
Starting point is 00:17:11 I mean, that's what I'm asking. Most of them curious how much she charges. Yeah, I mean, I guess I could call to find out. Make some money. I could definitely look into it. Call, I'm curious to know. Okay. And I just wonder what her whole, like, her old spiel is.
Starting point is 00:17:26 Like, here's why she should hire me. Like, here's what I have to offer you. And does she come into the home? And does she? Does she wear a whistle? Out of here. Like a coach? No, but I mean, I would be into that.
Starting point is 00:17:36 And, oh, look. I mean, her website's like super cute. Oh. Do you believe that Jesus. sent that sign to Amy. Yes. Yeah. See?
Starting point is 00:17:44 Told you? Possibly, yeah. Told you. See, it's like that guy that's in the flood and he was praying for God to rescue him. No, that's a joke.
Starting point is 00:17:51 That's a joke. It's a joke that I tell from Jerry Clower. I know. It's a joke. You're not even telling her right, so I'm not going to let you disgrace it.
Starting point is 00:17:56 What? Signs happen. Have you ever had a sign? No. Yeah, your grandma one time knocked over that guitar. I guess I think what we're searching for we find.
Starting point is 00:18:07 I think regardless, if I'm looking for a sign for something, I can find it. And then your mom locked you in that room. Right. Now, is that true? And my mom had died too. I know. Or my dog dumped all his ashes on me. They exploded on my car. Yes. Do I think it's a sign or am I just an idiot in all those instances? Probably the second one. But I don't think it's not true. I just, for me, no, if I'm looking for a sign or something, I'm going to find it. I wasn't looking. I was just... I had a sign in
Starting point is 00:18:28 college. I finally got organized because everybody tells me I'm so unorganized, and I got a planner, and I wrote down every day I had to work because I had two jobs over the summer, and I had it in my car, someone broke in and stole the planner. That was God tell me you're not We're supposed to be organized. Okay. See where this goes? This is my logic. There we go.
Starting point is 00:18:45 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Firefighters in Tennessee cut through a wall at a family's home to rescue a dog that was chasing a squirrel in the attic. The dog's up in the attic.
Starting point is 00:19:00 Chasing after a squirrel, falls through. And firefighters, they go in Chattanooga, and they go and have to cut a hole in the wall and they get Bella out, who's a wiener dog. Luckily, everybody survived. Everybody's good.
Starting point is 00:19:13 Firefighters just used to saw, cut to the wall. They're like, Bella, they're trying to make the dog not move while they're cutting the wall. So they cut back there, but the dog obviously runs to the sound. But everything's good. So good for the firefighters, good for the dog. Everybody wins in that one. That's funny, huh? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:28 It's funny because everybody got it out of. All right. All right, that's what it's all about right there. That's Tell Me Something Good. There you go. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bones Show. Boneyhead.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Norrie of the day. This story comes with us from. Royal Palm Beach, Florida. A 28-year-old man's working at Arby's. He's supposed to get off at 10 p.m. And the manager comes up and says, hey, someone called in, I need you to work overtime. He's like, look, I got plans with my girlfriend, no.
Starting point is 00:19:53 The manager pulls out pepper spray, pepper sprays him and chases him around the store with a knife trying to make him stay and work overtime. But he pepper spread him because he just didn't want to work more? Yeah, he didn't want to work overtime. And the manager's like, no, that's not acceptable. So pepper sprayed him and chased him with a knife to make him stay. Oh.
Starting point is 00:20:08 That would work. He was not going to be a very effective employee. I'm saying like you spray him and then makes more sandwiches? It's not very smart. Crazy that that guy is the boss. So I'm lunchboxed at your Bonhead story of the day. Come on, Bobby Bones show. Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Starting point is 00:20:25 Mr. Bobby Bones. They call the Shell on Challenge where you're supposed to eat it and the shell. We have a couple items here. We have, first of all, a full banana with a peel, right? So if you lose, you have to eat the whole thing. The whole banana or one bite. No, no, that's the social media craze, Amy. It's one bite.
Starting point is 00:20:57 It's not one bite. It's not the whole thing. That would make you sick, maybe. Like the stem? I don't even know if you can get rid of that. I don't know that my stomach could digest it. Well, that's part of the big. You shouldn't have brought this game to the table.
Starting point is 00:21:07 The new social media trend. It's a bite. It's called the Shell On Challenge. People are daring each other to eat things in the packaging or the peels. Yeah, I mean, it's nature. It's nature. It's nature. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:18 Yeah, I've heard the peel is good for you, but like if you blend it. Everybody's name is on the wheel here, right? This isn't spin, but I'm going to spin it. Whoever it lands on has to take half of the, has to eat half the banana with the peel. Okay, that's better. Okay? Half of the banana with the food banana? Woo!
Starting point is 00:21:35 What did you bring up? I mean, I think the half's kind of weak. I thought we were eating a whole thing. Oh my gosh. No! No! We want the full banana. No.
Starting point is 00:21:47 Yeah. All right. We're doing full banana. Man. You don't have to eat the stem. Okay, good. What? Has it been washed?
Starting point is 00:21:55 Yes, yes. I was really looking forward to something like a kiwi maybe? No, no, no, no, no, no, Kiwi's. Full banana. Okay, so I'm going to spin the wheel. Whoever it lands on has to eat the banana with a peel on. This is called the Shell On Challenge. Are we ready to spin that wheel?
Starting point is 00:22:08 Oh, my gosh. On the wheel are people like, producer Eddie. Morgan number two. Okay. Ray Mundo. Lunchbox. Oh. Myself and Amy will give it a spin.
Starting point is 00:22:23 I mean, there's a lot of options on there. I mean, is there someone you're cheering for? I mean, Amy, Amy, me funny. Why? That's rude. I'm not cheering for anybody. All right, are you ready? Let's spin that wheel. All right, down the round it goes.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Oh, my God. Whoever's name it lands on. Come on. Come on. No. Here we go. You going. And it is.
Starting point is 00:22:50 Oh, he loves banana. I do. I eat one every day. Yeah, you do. Put that banana in your mouth. There you go. Put the banana in your mouth. Eddie, Eddie, Eddie, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:23:08 No stem, right? No stem, but the whole banana with a pill. That stem is not coming out of my body if I eat it. All right, here we go. How long is this supposed to take people? Well, let's just start and watch it. Why me? Because it landed on your name.
Starting point is 00:23:20 That's so stupid. You were cheering for a whole banana. You cheered for a whole banana. No, I did not. Here we go. You wanted the whole banana. You get it. Tell me what.
Starting point is 00:23:29 And action. Get it in there. There he goes. That peel is the most disgusting name. Bite number one. Oh, my gosh. It's dry. Bite number one.
Starting point is 00:23:38 Wow, Eddie. If you eat the peel that has 12% of your daily fiber, vitamin C and vitamin B6. And bite number two. Oh, wow. Oh, you spit on me. You fool, you spit on me, you nasty fool. I am spitting back on you. Is it like...
Starting point is 00:23:55 It's chalky. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Eddie, is that two bites in? It's not very good. There he goes. I can't believe you're eating it so strongly. Oh, you have to. Yeah, you definitely have to.
Starting point is 00:24:09 It's called the Shell On Challenge. And some people are eating like full things with like cardboard packages. Yeah. Why am I all stuck eating the crap? That's pretty healthy. Yeah, that's actually not crap. We're going to put this up on our Instagram at Bobby Bone Show. I can't chew it all, so at this point I'm just swallowing it.
Starting point is 00:24:24 You keep eating. I'm going to play a song. We'll come back and check in with you. All right. Sounds good. You got a good grip on that banana too. It's a Bobby Bones show Eddie lost the wheel
Starting point is 00:24:33 And he had to eat the whole banana with a pill on it We spun the wheel What are you complaining about? The bottom part I took the long stem off But then the other end I got to get rid of that I can't eat that
Starting point is 00:24:43 I can't eat the butt It's the butt Is that what it's called? It's a butt of the banana With the pill on What do you think so far? That's disgusting It is?
Starting point is 00:24:54 I mean we could have at least Given him some peanut butter No no no That's part of the challenge Like the banana part, it sneaks in and it tastes pretty good. But the rat, oh, the peel gross. Well, Eddie's eating this. Man, I'm glad that you won, though.
Starting point is 00:25:05 That's a good game. Now, do we want to pull the wheel back up here? Yes. For what? Take my name off, though. No, no, no. There's no way I can do this again. For what?
Starting point is 00:25:13 Eddie, that's a loser mentality. It's always a way. Man, that is crazy. All right, one more bite and I'm done. Eat the rest of it. There you go. There you go. There he is.
Starting point is 00:25:24 There he is. Eddie ate the whole banana with a peel. I thought this game was over. Well, it is. What we can, no, it is it. Just when you think it's over, it's back again. Oh, no. What we have now is a full orange with the old.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Oh, gee. Oh, my gosh. That's not, why is it the biggest orange? Yeah, why is that the biggest orange in the history? That's a great orange. It's like a mutant orange. Why say it's like a cutie? Let us, that's funny, a cutie. That's funny.
Starting point is 00:25:53 Yeah. It's not. That's the biggest orange. Like, this GMO. What? I don't know. Genetically modified. We shot it with a needle.
Starting point is 00:26:02 We gave us a steroid last night. That is huge. I have an orange coming up. And we can spin the wheel again if you guys want to play another round of this. Again, this is a democracy. We'll vote. Okay. Let me see if you can you die from orange peels?
Starting point is 00:26:17 No, they eat them in nature. Amy's Googling. Can you die? Google the banana one first because I already ate it. I told you the benefits of eating the peel. Go ahead. People do that. What does the orange peel say?
Starting point is 00:26:27 Emmy, this is the internet challenge. It can't. being safe. Well, here's some. It says here, this is answering how many oranges can you eat before the vitamin C will kill you. Oh, whoa.
Starting point is 00:26:36 It happens. A million? Did you Google? Can you eat the orange pill? I was emailing about death. You emailed someone about death and we're going to weigh here? Google it. Okay. Although orange peels are edible, they're not nearly as sweet
Starting point is 00:26:53 or as juicy. If you do eat the peel, you'll get a good amount of nutrients. Yeah. What? It's got, it's This is basically a health segment. Labinoids. Okay, we're going to come back next, and we're going to do the orange.
Starting point is 00:27:06 Is it organic? Or so we're going to vote. Oh, yeah, let's vote. Who votes that we eat the orange? I, I, I, I, I, all right, we got enough. No, that was just you. Yeah. What?
Starting point is 00:27:17 That was just you. That's what's funny about this show sometimes. You don't want to do anything? You have a one and six chance. You didn't have to eat the banana. I know, and Eddie, I didn't enjoy watching you do that. Yes, she did. She was laughing so hard.
Starting point is 00:27:28 No, I was. Listen. Do you want to do the orange, Amy? Uh-uh. Okay, well, we'll do the orange. I say we do the orange. We'll do the orange. Raymondo, we got a bonus now? Let's do it. Yeah, we get it.
Starting point is 00:27:36 Now I'm pulling votes in. That's all you need. That's all we need. Starting point is 00:30:48 And Eddie ate a banana with appeal. And how would you say? It was disgusting. It was disgusting. So would you say he won because he got a lot of nutrients? I'd say in the end you won, Eddie. I mean, yeah, you guys say it's good for you at the end. So thank you, I guess.
Starting point is 00:30:59 You're welcome. I have an orange here. Oh, my goodness. It's a very big orange. Big. Big orange. We can do half the orange. No, you got to go full.
Starting point is 00:31:09 That's bigger than the banana. That is way bigger than the banana. Question. You probably should cut the orange though and then eat into it. Okay. If you want to do, let's vote. You want to do the half the orange or whole orange? Oh, I know it's going to happen now.
Starting point is 00:31:20 If we do half, two people are going to eat that sucker. That's right. That's right. Good thinking lunch. You got it. I saw his wicked smile like he. Okay, okay. Let's just say whoever loses, one person has to eat the whole orange with a peel on it.
Starting point is 00:31:33 Perfect. Half or whole? Vote now. Old. Eddie says hole. Hole. Hull. Amy says hole.
Starting point is 00:31:40 But, I mean, you can still cut it up. Okay. That's two votes. Lunch box? Oh, definitely whole. Ray Vinda? It sounds like whole. Okay, whole it is.
Starting point is 00:31:47 I'm going to spin the wheel. Question. Yeah. If we volunteer, do we only eat half? If we say, you know what, no need to spend that wheel, I nominate myself. What is it? I volunteer tribute. Yeah, that volunteer tribute thing.
Starting point is 00:31:58 Do we only get to eat half? No, I think you have to spin and you land on what it lands on. Because I wasn't going to volunteer. I was just going to throw it out there for someone else. All right. Are you guys ready? I'm going to spin the wheel. Whoever's name it lands on has to eat the whole orange with the peel.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Yeah. All right. Let's spin that wheel. And there it goes the wheel. Round and round it goes. Come on. Lunchbox is run over to the wheel. Oh, I'm stressed out.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Calcium, copper, magnesium, vitamin A. Vitamin B, fiber. fiber. Oh, Amy! Amy! Amy! It was on me till the last minute
Starting point is 00:32:39 and went right over to you. Give her the orange! Give her the orange! It needs to be washed again. No, you eat it like... Can I have a knife? Oh my gosh. Do you want us to play a song and come back?
Starting point is 00:32:50 Yeah, I mean... As you prepare it? This is the biggest orange known man that's going to take a minute. Your first bite should have to be through the orange, right? I agree. Yes. I can't... Like an apple.
Starting point is 00:32:58 You have teeth? I can't to lose her mentality. my teeth okay I would step away from the equipment and just take a big bite out of it ready
Starting point is 00:33:09 you got it on camera Eddie I got it I don't know if my teeth what's wrong with your teeth oh don't break your teeth there princess it's an orange it's not concrete oh she took a bite
Starting point is 00:33:20 oh no you gotta eat it don't spin it out don't spit it out you gotta eat it she didn't even eat the middle part she only ate the peel she only ate the peel Of course that's going to be gross
Starting point is 00:33:33 But that's a lot of orange This is bigger than it. You know what's funny is she voted for holes She did How's that pill taste? This is bigger than the banana If you think of it You stretch this out
Starting point is 00:33:47 Go ahead How's the pill taste? Take a full bite there I tried I tried to eat the pill and I won't I can't get to that part. There she goes. Back into it.
Starting point is 00:34:02 She's going straight peel. It's so disgusting. She's basically peeling the orange with her teeth and eating it. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Relying on technology allows us to forget five things a day.
Starting point is 00:34:18 I saw that and I agree because I don't know anybody's phone number and I don't know how to get anywhere. That's on the list. Because I always just type it in. Like with my phone, I'll just yell at my Siri to take me somewhere.
Starting point is 00:34:29 What are the things we forget? So the five things we forget are passwords other people's phone numbers, how to spell certain words. Oh man, me too. And I don't even try anymore. I hit it, and if it doesn't autocrect, I just send it anyway. So it's either spell check or hopefully it's the person's spell recognized on the other side of it. Because I don't even try.
Starting point is 00:34:44 How to do basic math. And then how to write legibly. Because between our phones and technology or computers, like we don't really write that much anymore. And then some of the things are outside of the top five. Like, Bobby, you mentioned directions, birthdays, what time shows are on. Oh, birthdays. It's actually helped me. I don't know anybody's birthday, but having...
Starting point is 00:35:04 The calendar helps you. Big time. And I put in the people's birthdays that I really like. Basically, it's just Amy and my exes. Wow. I know. I know. So, oh, you know, another funny thing.
Starting point is 00:35:15 People forget. This was number six on the list. So almost top five. Their own phone number. Like, sometimes if they're asked for it, fill it out, like, sometimes they're like, shoot, what is my own phone number? Yeah, you don't have to say that much.
Starting point is 00:35:25 You've had yours forever. I've had my phone number. 2003? Yeah. a long time. So you've had the same one. Like, I switched a few years ago and it did take me a while to learn it because I was like, oh, I don't really know. You don't call yourself.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Right. Yeah. I do sometimes I'm really lonely. Oh, hey Bob. Hey, you good? Yeah, I'm okay. How what else? So couples in happier relationships say these things to each other more often. So you can jot these down, not if you're driving, but just make sure that you're telling your partner this. Thank you. If you're expressing gratitude in your relationship, relationship, even for the small things,
Starting point is 00:36:01 not just for the big, it will really impact things. You make me laugh. Make sure you let them know that they're funny because couples that can laugh together, it means that they, you know, enjoy each other's company and each other's jokes. You mean a lot to me. So people want to feel valued and appreciated. So make sure
Starting point is 00:36:17 you remind them. And then lastly, I love you. Like, if you're not someone that says it all the time, but simply put, saying I love you is an active reminder of your admiration for one another. Puppies never said it. know to anybody. My dog, all time.
Starting point is 00:36:32 But, Nick, there's still time. This is the year. Amy's put her fist in the air like she was pumping me up. She was like, you can do it. Yeah. 2019. There you go. Right?
Starting point is 00:36:41 Yeah, of course. What else? Okay. You know the top most productive time of day? When is it for you? When are you the most productive? Two parts. Either at like 6 a.m., which I'm not a morning person, but I've been awake a few hours.
Starting point is 00:36:54 That's what we start doing. I'm like an hour into the show. Probably then or like, 6 p.m. right before I go, like I have a few hours before I go down. You're like,
Starting point is 00:37:02 I'm just hammering away the next day. Oh, wow. But my schedule's odd. Yeah, you're not really average. So for those people that are listening right now,
Starting point is 00:37:09 it's the first three hours of your day. That's when you're most productive. That's me? That's okay. 6 a.m. I mean, I wake up at 3.30 now. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:16 But that's when you are cranking stuff out. So if you have your list of MIT's, do you know MIT's? My husband taught me this. A military term? It's your most important tasks. So he, most important tasks.
Starting point is 00:37:27 He tries. to help me make lists and prioritize them and he's like, what are you in my T's? Number them, one through ten, and knock out one to ten. I'm kind of hot. It's kind of hot. Right. That was Amy's pile of stories. Bobby Bonds! They put out the list of
Starting point is 00:37:43 top ten Tom Hanks movies of all times. Wow! Wow! Yeah. So, but what I'm going to do is I'll play you a clip from a Tom Hanks movie. Just name the movie. Oh, that's easy. Right. I mean, they're all huge. Right. Amy, you're up first. Ready? Ready? Name this Tom Hanks' Hanks movie. movie?

Starting point is 00:38:12 We've only got one week left before the move. A moving buddy. If you don't have one, get one. Got that. What is that? Toy Story. That's correct. Nice work.
Starting point is 00:38:21 That's good. By the way, that's the number two. Tom Hanks movie of all time, according to people. Toy Story. Number one was four scound. We're going in order. Okay, good, good, good. Oh, wow. Toy Story was number two. Okay. Eddie, ready? Come on. Name this Tom Hanks movie. Number three on the list.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Hey, we've got a problem here. What did you do? Nothing. I stirred the tanks. This is Houston. Say again, please. Houston, we have a problem. Eddie. Epic. Do you know what movie that is? Apollo 13. Apollo 13 is correct. Come on. Amy, ready? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Name this Tom Hanks movie. When I stand before God, and he asks me why did I, did I kill one of his true miracles? You tell God the father, it was the kindness you done. Oh. Oh. Is that the Green Mile? It is the Green Mile. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:19 Yeah. Good job, Abe. I really liked the Green Mile. Yeah. And then it got a little weird. They got real weird. What, like the flies and stuff? The big guy.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Is it okay to say that? What? They got weird? No, like, you just gave away part of it. Oh, come on. The movie came out like 30 years ago. I don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:39:36 That's fine, Bobby. Okay. I don't want to be a spoiler, you know? I thought the movie was fantastic. Then it got a little science fictiony, oddly. It gets weird. Lunchbox, ready? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:47 Right up your alley. All right, number five. Number five. Man, I'm sorry to have to tell you. Your son is Fodging checks. Fodging checks. Wait, I'm sure we can't take care of that. I'm working part.
Starting point is 00:39:56 I'm a hot town of the church now. Just tell me how much yours and I'll pay you back. So far, it's about $1.3 million. Do you know what Tom Hanks movie that is? Guys, this is a great one. Catch me if you can. I still haven't seen that one, right? Amy.
Starting point is 00:40:11 No, Eddie. Oh, me, me, me. Here you go. The ship's broken. We had to go. Nobody gets hurt. Easy. Hey!
Starting point is 00:40:20 Look at me, sure. Look at me, sure. I'm the captain now. Yes. That's Captain Fis. Willis. Wow, we're perfect so far. Wow, okay.

Starting point is 00:40:54 These two guys are shocked that you don't know this one. What? Really? I mean, he sounds too old for when he was in this movie, but I guess I'm going to go with Big. Big. Oh, no. Oh, Amy, come on. I have never even seen the movie and I know what it is.
Starting point is 00:41:09 It has to be cast away. It is because he's like, I've made five. I mean, when also it is he need fire? Yep. Oh, yeah, duh. Lunchbox. Oh, I just got that one. To stay in the game.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Oh, okay. Name the number seven Tom Hanks movie. Ready? Yeah. It's very important you don't stink today. Hey, I make no guarantees. We bow, right, in unison, and we're off the stage before the applause dies out, right? What if they want an encore?
Starting point is 00:41:33 You unplug and you run, run off stage. Smiling, smiling, no encore. Can you name that one? Okay. I haven't seen this one, but I know he's a, it's a musical group, like it's a band. And I want to say Almost Famous, but that's the one you guys like that. So it's not that one. What is it about?
Starting point is 00:41:55 I mean, the only thing, we'll just go almost famous. I'm sorry. It's that thing you do. You doing that thing you do. There you go. Break my heart into me. of all time listed as number seven here. Wow. That's a good movie. Yeah, Eddie, for the win.

Starting point is 00:42:34 A league of the room. There he is. A league of them. Nobody clap for you except for me. I know. That's okay. I was the only one clapping. I was just long of the draw. A lunchbox didn't clap. Well, I went right down the list. I don't know what I'm saying. I just wish I just wish I I mean, I'm not complaining.
Starting point is 00:42:51 I'm saying. I wish I got eight. What was the rest of the movies? There's only one more. Two more. There is this one. No one said you were going to lose both engines at a lower altitude. Oh, yeah, Solic.
Starting point is 00:43:04 But be cool. No, it's called Soli. Oh, you're right. It's called Soli. Forest scum, Toy Story, Apollo 13 at 3. Catch me if you can. Captain Phillips. That thing you do, cast away, a league of their own.
Starting point is 00:43:14 I forgot to say the Green Mile. And Sully, those are the 10. Okay. Bam. There you go. Tomah is so great. But you are the winner. And that's your gift.

Starting point is 00:50:03 Yeah, you don't want to challenge you. You'll get this cold on. There was a stutter in there, though. What do you have? Don't stop believe it. All right, you're all right. There you go. Are you good.
Starting point is 00:50:09 Two left. Name the song. Here we go. Only the piano. Oh, Amy looks a puzzle. Maybe it's a puzzle. Because I just went to a... Lunchbox looks puzzle, but that's normal.
Starting point is 00:50:41 Amy's up one point right now. Lunchbox will climb back into this thing. I'm trying to. Wow. Five seconds. Lunchbox? Lips of an angel. Excuse me?
Starting point is 00:50:52 Hinder, lips of an angel. What a random song. I haven't thought of that in a while. Sorry, Amy. Men to be. Ooh. Yes. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:51:01 I wrote It will be. Oh, wow. It's like, Hit it, Bones. Maybe lay on back and relax. Put your pretty head down on the bash. Man, man. He's meant to be.
Starting point is 00:51:20 Maybe. He was meant to be. It'll be. All right, one more. Here we go. Watchbox is standing up in his chair, waving his arms like his symphony. Amen. Only the piano part of the song.
Starting point is 00:51:54 There you go. To make it. Yeah, write me a letter. Write me a letter. Send it in the mail. I didn't have missed a postman. I was in a special deed. Bright an early next morning.
Starting point is 00:52:11 I'm in for the wind. The letter came back to me. She rode about it. Amy. Hey Jude. Lunchbox. Hey, Jude. Right me a letter.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Yeah, that's my God. There's nothing about a letter. Are you serious? It says, write me a letter. Eddie? I might be the worst of this game. I wrote Let It Be. Oh.
Starting point is 00:52:27 Wait. Mr. Beatles' game? The Mr. Beatles. Wow. Does this say write a letter? No. Oh, I didn't think so. Guys, I didn't miss one.
Starting point is 00:52:38 You didn't, Amy? No. There she is. There she is. We found her strong suit. She loves a piano. There she goes. Look at you.
Starting point is 00:52:46 Wow, Amy. Good job. That never happens to me. Like the thing, my piano teacher, when I was little. Imagine all the Amy's. Easy if and there's all. That means no one lies. Imagine all.
Starting point is 00:53:24 I'm going high. We're going high. There she goes. Nice part, Amy. It's a Bobby Bones show. What's up with you and your husband? Well, he's like, wants to put a cap on how much water I can have or win, like a deadline at night. Like no more water at night.
Starting point is 00:53:40 We have to do that with our eight-year-old son. Are you peeing the bed? No. No. But that's why we can do it with him. But my husband's like, I don't know, pick a time. But after 7 p.m., you can have no more water because I guess I've been waking up. I've upped my water and take a lot.
Starting point is 00:53:57 And sometimes to make sure I'm getting my water before bed, I'm like, chugging 16 ounces just that I'm met my goal for the day. And he's had enough because I wake up like three times in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom and it's waking him up. And he's like, I, he's like, I can't have that anymore. So he's like, thinks I should have a water, water cut off. And are you going to do that? I think I should because, I mean, yeah, it's got to be annoying. Like, plus I don't need to be waking up three times in the middle of the night. That's not good for my sleep. And then if I'm waking him up, well, that's certainly not good if we're both not getting rest. And so, yeah, but he was like, hey, we got to have a talk. Oh, you got pulled in for a talk. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:31 He didn't want to be rude about it, but he's like, I'm going to have to cut you off on water. Like I flew, I'm in California, but when I flew out here, I always sit on the inside. And so on the southwest, on Southwest Airlines, you can lean over and put your head on the, on like the wall and go to sleep. And that flight's so long, and I like to sit on the inside, like a window seat, so I can lean my head over and go to sleep. But the problem is I drink a bunch of water too, and I always have to be like, excuse me, and that flight is so long. I hate to wake you up. And I won't wake someone up. I almost will go on my pants, almost, before, or like, I don't think about peeing into a cup or something.
Starting point is 00:55:06 Which is awesome because you're a guy and you can do that. I haven't done that, but I've been like, I don't want to wake somebody up. But I have to go through people every time, be like, I'm so sorry. So I, like, have to gauge my water before I get on the flight. So you could get these bags that my husband, because he's a pilot and we go on really, especially when he was in the Air Force, they were going really long flights. It's like hours and hours and hours. But they have these, I forget what they're called, but just call it a pee bag. Peabag.
Starting point is 00:55:28 Yeah. And. I wouldn't really pee pee in my pants. But I'm so bothered. You can order some of these and we see if Amazon has it. And then you get a blanket. But it's like, no, it's contained. Like you won't make a mess.
Starting point is 00:55:42 People would probably wake them up more than peeve next to them. It all goes down to it. I think my neighbor would rather me wake them up than just let it rip right next to them. And maybe then I need to get a pee bag for bedtime. You know what? Just get up. Just get up. Ramundo, who sits in the glass room.
Starting point is 00:56:00 And what he does is he edits audio all day. I cut commercials, all the things that you hear on the show, all the clips of songs. Like, that's what he does. He's cutting, cutting, cutting. And so he comes to me and he says, hey, you know what the listeners want? I said, no, what do the listeners want? Usually what they call for and what they're asking, they say, more talk, less music. Okay.
Starting point is 00:56:17 And so what do you then propose? The thing that came to me was, why don't we speed up the songs? Logical. So have you sped up some songs to hear? Yeah, I have some. examples how it would sound in the morning when you're listening to these songs sped up. So that means if the song was sped up, there's more time for us to be able to talk. Yeah, you're going to have 30 seconds to a minute more every segment to talk, explain about your life, and have fun on the air.
Starting point is 00:56:45 Okay, so what is the first song I have up here is, I was Jack, you were Diane. Okay, so this is a song if you're not familiar with it. Now, if we're doing the show, you'd rather it sound like, Did you turn it up? You said that song, Like we did it. It makes me want to talk faster. How much time does that shave off?
Starting point is 00:57:09 Well, that one right there in particular is going to shave off 20 seconds for the whole song. Then I've sped up others even faster, so it's going to give you probably two minutes more a segment. Wow. Okay, you know this song from Keith Derb? Yes. Okay, Reyes sped this one up here. Come in. How much time does this shave off?
Starting point is 00:57:28 People are going to be driving to work in such a hurry. The speeding tickets are just flying up. Not to mention, Keith their room might not like that. But even like, yeah, I mean, think of how much more content we could cover if we all just bit up our talking. That's true too.
Starting point is 00:57:41 No, she's doing that. We can talk about so much. Okay. We talk about more. Kenny, get along. Speed this one up? Yeah, it's got to be trimmed up. Speed it up.
Starting point is 00:57:50 That way we can talk more. Yeah, long down the road. We got it along. We can't get a long long. Get along. We can't love the upper hands. They walk. Let her dance.
Starting point is 00:58:00 Come on. Bye. That's funny That's funny That's good That's good long That's good long You're funny
Starting point is 00:58:06 What about the slow songs Are like mercy Like this may be tough It can still be done So a slow song like Brett Young mercy We could speed it up It's gonna sound a little different
Starting point is 00:58:16 It's gonna break my heart You're great It's like tech now You may have the map to make Make this If you ever love And mercy
Starting point is 00:58:28 And then we get back to the show It's like Number 2 this one Mercy. All right, we're back. What a jam. I love that song. Well, thank you, Ray Moon.
Starting point is 00:58:36 Yeah. Big hit right now. I'd be interested to hear. Morgan Evans kiss somebody sped up, huh? Mm-hmm. Yeah? Mm-hmm. All right.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Phones, it's weird at first. It really is weird at first, but people might get used to this. I feel like everybody would just get where they needed to go, like, way early. Are most things uncomfortable, too, before they're awesome? Yes. It might sound weird, but it's not wrong. All right. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

Starting point is 01:02:10 So he went on a diet. He lost 475 pounds. Jeez, man. And now his goal is to run a marathon. He walked his first five. started running a little bit and now his goal is to run a marathon. He lost 400 pounds?
Starting point is 01:02:27 475. What did he do? Do we know? He stopped drinking soda? Because that'll do it. You want to lose 400 pounds? I'm not kidding. Just stop drinking. Everybody out there. Let me give you a piece of advice. This is truth. And I'm not, there's not an
Starting point is 01:02:43 inch of me as facetious in this. Do you want to change your life? Do you want to lose weight? Stop drinking. soda. For me, I love soda. Oh, when it burns, and I go, I'm going to tell you, I get that, and I go, and then it goes down, this is what it feels like in my body.
Starting point is 01:03:02 If I can make a sound where it feels like in my body, this would be it what it sounds like, oh yeah. That's what it feels like when it goes down. Here's what I say, I like a soda too. Not even going to lie to you. Have one a week. Set your time. Have one a week.
Starting point is 01:03:18 Because if you make the thing, I'm going to have one soda a week, you know what? you're probably going to have two. And that's okay too. Anything that you can do in moderation is okay. That being said, that soda, that candy, that sugar, that's going to be cigarettes in five, seven years. It already kind of is. And we're learning that. Chill on the sodas. I want to add to that and say that doesn't mean switch to diet soda and you'll be good. You have to cut out all the soda because I used to drink tons of Diet Coke. And when I got off, I lost weight and felt better. Again, I love soda. I just want to be honest with our listeners. I love soda.
Starting point is 01:03:54 And I like to make another noise that it makes me feel. Like sometimes I'll take the soda and I'll take the cup. I don't like a straw. Who wants a straw? No, no, no. Whenever you soda because you want to like enjoy it all in your mouth. Not just like a little tube of it. You want to have it just go in your mouth.
Starting point is 01:04:06 And sometimes when I swallow it, this is what it sounds like because it feels so good. I swallow it and it goes, yay. It's what it feels like when it goes down. It's like a little cheer. That being said, you want to lose weight? Stop drinking soda. Well, lunchbox, what you got? You might be on to something because he cut out fast food,
Starting point is 01:04:21 fried foods, bread, soda, and alcohol, and started walking. Oh, good for him. The food, I'm going to say this too. Believe me if you may, working out's fine. You should do it. It keeps, you're going to keep your body healthy longer. If you don't eat right, don't even waste your time working out. Because that workout's 80% of it.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Oh, no, excuse me, the eating's 80% of it. If you eat right and don't work out, you'll lose weight and look good. If you eat right and work out, you'll look a little better. If you just work out and eat wrong, nothing's going to change. nothing is going to change so why even waste your time go volunteer with puppies or something instead you know what you mean
Starting point is 01:04:55 would you like to another sound that my body makes yes when you drink soda whenever I drink soda yeah so sometimes I get a cup I like a plastic cup too with soda in it oh yeah yeah and I'll pour it down my throat and it goes like this happy new year when it goes down
Starting point is 01:05:09 yeah it's that good it's not good happy new year but that's what's all about you know get a minimize minimize okay is that it lunchbox that's it thank you very much
Starting point is 01:05:19 That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. Bobby Bones. So Eddie's worried because his kids are starting to like hip hop. Oh, well, what's wrong with that?
Starting point is 01:05:41 Gosh playing. Well, with hip hop comes a little different kind of lingo and conversations. You talking about bad words? Yeah, and the stuff that they talk about, like, I'm twisted. Like, I'm kind of torn because I feel. feel happy that they're expanding in their music taste. Like, this is a jam. I get it.
Starting point is 01:06:02 But, I mean, they're going to start liking this. And then junior, my 10-year-old, is going to start looking into other hip-hop artists. And sometimes they get kind of nasty. But they have clean versions. Yeah, yeah. And also, what about country music? They talk about drinking all the time. They talk about getting high and all kinds of stuff.
Starting point is 01:06:19 Yeah. Yeah, but hip-hop's not so secretive or, like, they don't use those innuendos. This is like straight up. like we're just rolling. You know what I'm saying? And so I'm torn because I'm like, cool, respect. My kids like likes music. But like 10 years old, like he's like starting to look at Drake and starting to research
Starting point is 01:06:38 Drake's songs now. And I'm like, oh boy, just stay away from that 69 guy. Like, you know what I mean? Oh, so he has free reign on the internet or? He has, so he has like the Iheart radio app where he gets to choose his music and he has his playlists. Can he pick bad word songs? Well, we've said it to clear.
Starting point is 01:06:55 But you know what I'm saying? Like, it's not that they're saying the actual bad word. It's what they're talking about. You have to let him get in hip-hop. So like if you're a kid- You can't shut down his- You're not Russia. No, I just thought I thought I was doing good
Starting point is 01:07:07 because he knows all about the Beatles and the Beach Boys. And then he just kind of threw me for a loop with like, Dad, have you heard that Drake song, God's Plan? God's Plan. And I'm like, yeah. I hope that sometimes I won't. And the next thing you know, he's going to be walking around like, run down the street.
Starting point is 01:07:24 Boom, that's up. Whoa, you know what I'm saying? You don't even know that's not. I mean. Like, okay, maybe I sound a little like old school. You sound like an old grandpa. I'm a concerned parent. Yeah, that's fair.
Starting point is 01:07:36 I had similar thoughts with 50 cent candy shop. Tell me about that one. So my kids were like, a ticket to the candy shop. And I'm like, oh my goodness. But I mean, they think it's the candy shop. No, I get it. I'm okay with that. Like, they're like, mom's to the candy shop.
Starting point is 01:07:54 I don't get what I got. I mean, if you listen to the lyrics to that, it's awful. But we were all listening to that. I know. It didn't hurt us. I mean, I just worry. Like, this is him growing and I like that he's growing into himself and what he likes. But at the same time, I've got to be, like, just careful with what he's listening to.
Starting point is 01:08:11 All right. So something shady was happening in your neighborhood? Yeah. Mm-hmm. Yeah, a little side hustle going down with the crossing guard. So tell me what would happen, what you would see with your eyes. Well, I've witnessed it on multiple occasions and months apart. So I was like, well, this must be happening way more than I think.
Starting point is 01:08:28 But the car slow, well, we're going slow anyway. It's a school zone. So you're 15 miles or less. And so the cars are already creeping. And then she's kind of in the middle of the road doing her thing. And then every once in a while or when I've seen it, she's giving something to someone that's driving by and they exchange. But I don't know what's being exchanged. In your mind, it's possibly money and drugs.
Starting point is 01:08:52 Maybe. Oh. But something's going on, though. Some oxy. Oh, maybe it could be pills. It looks like a little bit. I mean, I don't know. I don't know that she doesn't look like the type where she's like a hardcore drug dealer,
Starting point is 01:09:06 but she could maybe. She could maybe have back pain, and so she's got access to pills that she shares with people. And you think there's something happening in your neighborhood. Cars are going by and there's transactions happening right in front of your face. I mean, the first time I saw it, I thought, oh, she must know that person. and she's giving them a little something. Or like, can I get him the business card? You're doing a good job.
Starting point is 01:09:26 How is my car? The third time I saw it, again, months apart. I'm like, what is going down? Like, I'm missing all kinds of transactions. Well, lunchbox decided to go to your neighborhood. You guys already live close. And what in your mind are you doing? Well, what I did is I did recon first.
Starting point is 01:09:41 I watched how it went down. And so I did it happen. I saw it happen. What? You did? And so I was like, like, Yeah. I was like, this is crazy.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Like, I thought Amy was just seeing things. Maybe Amy blinked at the long time. How did you go see it? Like where did you go stand? I told him where she was. And I parked on the side of the road. Like, because it's a street. So you just parked like you're in front of a house and you just sit in the car for a while.
Starting point is 01:10:02 It's like an undercover cop. You're on stakeout? Yeah. And you watch it happen. And so I was like, okay, this is a real deal. So the next day, I went back and I gave it a shot. So by giving it a shot, what did you do? I just rolled down the window as I'm rolling by and hollered at her.
Starting point is 01:10:20 Give me some of that stuff. Give me some of that stuff. Did you have money in your hand? I have a clap here. Were you nervous? I was really nervous because I was like, what if this is an undercover coverage of my aesthetic? Like reverse undercover when I'm trying to do undercover.
Starting point is 01:10:35 Like she's undercover. Yeah, because we're not like trying to bust her, but like something's going on. We're trying to do a radio bit. Like they pulled me over and be like, no, I was undercovering you. No, like, oh. It's like that Spider-Man meme where they're pointing at each other. Love that one.
Starting point is 01:10:48 Okay. Morgan and number two and Mike D got that joke. Thank you. Amy, as millennials only got that. I didn't hear you. It doesn't matter. It's a Spider-Man joke. I didn't get it.
Starting point is 01:10:57 Here we go. Too much in disbelief that, I mean, I know it's happening with the fact that he saw it, too, means it's really happening all the time. And you did see her handing from me? Oh, yeah. More than once? More than once. That's why I was like, it's real. That's why I was like, I got to get out of it.
Starting point is 01:11:10 I got to go in. I got to try it. Or you by yourself? Or was a baby? No, no, baby was not. You can't do that with the baby. No family. All right.
Starting point is 01:11:17 All right. So, here's lunchbox. driving to the crossing guard who Amy thinks is... Wait, you know what? Now I think of it. Baby was in the back seat. It was? Oh, my God. I didn't even think about that.
Starting point is 01:11:26 Oh, my gosh. I'm a terrible dad. Wait, why were you doing with the baby in the back? I didn't even think about it right now. I just talking about it right now. I was. He was in the back seat. Oh, no. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:11:36 I want to hear these quotes. You brought a baby to a stakeout? No, no. Detectives don't do that. Oh, no. Okay, here we go. Here's lunchbox. Driving by the crossing guard,
Starting point is 01:11:45 who you think is probably selling something. Oh, yeah. All right, here we got. What we got, what we got? I-five. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What we got, what we got? That's what I'm talking about, the goods, the goods.
Starting point is 01:12:01 Thank you. Okay, now, she gave me something. Did you not hear the crinkle? He got it. Did she give you something? Yeah. No. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 01:12:11 You didn't hear the crinkle? Let me hear it again. There's a crinkle. What did you give you? Let's hear it again. Before I play it back, do you promise that you got something? I swear to you, I got something. What did I tell you?
Starting point is 01:12:24 Yo, baby. What are my friends even heard the bitch? She's like, you're just making stuff up. I'm like, we don't make stuff up. Listen to the crinkle. Here's why we can't make stuff up because we couldn't remember it. It's all of our listeners who think we're going to make stuff up. We can't because then we can't remember it.
Starting point is 01:12:38 And Lentworks has kept all of this from me. He did text me the other day saying, hey, where, what crossroads? He did text me and go, I need bailed out. No, no, no. He did text me asking which street she worked on and she has two spots that I see her work. and so I gave him both locations. All right, here we go again. Let's listen to the same clip
Starting point is 01:12:53 and listen for the crinkle. What we got, what we got? What we got? High five. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. What we got? What we got? That's what I'm talking about.
Starting point is 01:13:05 The good. The good. Thank you. Wait. How a good one. Okay, okay. Here's what we're going to do. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:13:14 I don't know. You didn't hear the crinkle? I heard the crinkle. I don't know what to expect. When I played the clip from my watch, she goes, oh my God, you hear the crinkle. Yeah, I know, I hear the crinkle.
Starting point is 01:13:22 But also, are you playing rap music or somebody else? Like, right? I mean, it seems like lunchbox is like rolling up. Like, listen, listen. There's no, there's no music. I have everything off because I'm recording so I can't have anything in the background. True. Okay.
Starting point is 01:13:34 Okay. You may hear my car rattle. No, no, no. And she handed me something. Oh, she handed me something, guys. This is real deal. Oh, listen. I don't know what it is.
Starting point is 01:13:44 I'm like, I'm so nervous. I don't know if it's drugs or like a note that says, have a good day. Lunchbox. Uh, Do you promise she handed you something? I promise. Were you shocked about what she handed you? Yes!
Starting point is 01:13:57 I was like, oh my gosh! And I was so... I was like, get out here, get out of here, get out of here. Do you want to reveal? Do you have it with you? I got it. You have it with you? You have it with you?
Starting point is 01:14:08 Oh, you want me to bring it in? It's in the car. Can we all try it? Wait, what is it? Okay, are you ready? Okay, tell... Yeah. I got the picture of it.
Starting point is 01:14:18 Okay, tell us what it is, and... Let me see the picture. No telling me. Okay, okay, okay. Let me end the now. What? Yo, did I uncover a drug dealer? Oh my God!

Starting point is 01:18:05 Hey so there's a crossing guard in Amy's neighborhood Amy feels like the crossing guard is up to something Yeah I've just seen multiple transactions With other cars that are going really slow Because it's a school zone And I see they exchange something And I don't know what So lunchbox went on the stakeout a day ahead of time
Starting point is 01:18:22 Watched her and watch transactions go down And I was like okay I got to get it on the action So I went back the next day Now listen to the clip again because you will hear a crinkle. What we got? What we got? High five. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 01:18:39 What we got? What we got? That's what I'm talking about. The goods. That's the crinkle right there. Now you show me the picture of it. I have so many questions. Hey, let's show Morgan number two.
Starting point is 01:18:50 How did you know how much money to give her? Amy? I just had it in my hand. First time's free. Okay. Okay. Morgan number two is now looking at it. What?
Starting point is 01:19:02 Okay. I don't even know what to say I know Okay Are you ready to see it? Yeah What are you guys? You gotta close your eyes
Starting point is 01:19:13 Close your eyes Listen to the crinkle Oh yeah She's gonna get it's gonna get it For sure in a baggie No I don't want you touching it Oh I just say you can hold it in your hand
Starting point is 01:19:23 Hold your hand open And she can just look And we don't open your eyes yet You don't need to touch it And three Close your eyes Two One go
Starting point is 01:19:31 It's a pepperment Are you serious? Are you serious? This nice only My goodness This nice only What is? Are you serious?
Starting point is 01:19:43 This nice old ladies handing out peppermids and Amy's accusing her of being Pablo Escobar. I mean, she's being nice to the neighborhood. That's the transaction. Y'all, it looks way shady. You're mad like a witch. Poor lady. This lady, by volunteering her time. She was born to slammer.
Starting point is 01:20:14 I thought for sure. I was like, oh my gosh, we're about to bust someone. Like, big time. I thought he was about to show me some pills. It's a green peppermint. It's like a white peppermint with like the green instead of the red. Oh, my gosh. What would you like to say to her in case she's listening?
Starting point is 01:20:31 Man, I'm so sorry. I thought the worst of you, I should have thought the best of you because you're a crossing guard and you're protecting our neighborhood and keeping the children safe. And I'm sorry. Like, oh my gosh, I thought that lunch fuck go drugs. Okay, now that's done. But to be fair, there was exchanges going down.
Starting point is 01:20:56 There was. And now we know it's innocent. And you saw it too, did it look shady to you when you saw? It did look shady. But did she handed you the same way she handed out? Same way that she handed to everybody else. All right. Maybe she sniffed you out. The Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:21:06 Bobby Bone. Here's what I have for you. I give you a fictional city from a TV show. You tell me what shows there. Oh, cool. Don't miss it, though. So, for example, here is an. Just free one.
Starting point is 01:21:19 Anybody can answer it. Pony. What show? Oh, that's Parks and Rec. Right. You would have got a point if that had been real. No, no points. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 01:21:28 It's the city they live in a Parks and Rec. Amy, you're up first. Mayberry. What show is in Mayberry? I know. Andy Griffin. Oh, no. Say it again?
Starting point is 01:21:42 What? What's the name of the show? Andy Griffith. I did ask again. I'll accept that. So what is it? It's Andy Griffith. With the H.
Starting point is 01:21:52 Oh, TH so not in. And that does that people. All right, good job. Lunchbox. Yeah. Hawkins, Indiana. Hawkins, Indiana. Hawkins, Indiana.
Starting point is 01:22:04 The only one I can think of is the middle. The middle, he says. No. Stranger Things. Oh, yes. Hockens Sheriff. How about Eddie? Dillon, Texas.
Starting point is 01:22:13 Oh, Friday Night Lights. Correct. Amy. Bedrock. Oh, the Flintstones. Correct. Lunchbox, Bayside. Oh, that's saved by the bell.
Starting point is 01:22:25 Correct. Eddie, Quohog. What? Oh, come on. Quohog? Yeah. Oh, that's Harry Potter. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:22:34 Lunchbox, what are you guys? Family guy, yes. Do we have any score or we just been running wild? Well, I got one wrong. Amy's undefeated. And what about you? Throw clear in there. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:22:45 Amy, let's see. You went, Amy. How about Gotham? Hit it out of the park, Amy. Well, there's a show called Gotham. What's the city? Batman. How about Springfield?
Starting point is 01:23:03 Get it out of the park, Amy. It's the cartoon people. Is it the Simpsons? And for the win. For the win-win. King's Landing. Landing. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:23:23 It's not King of Queens. Kings Landing. It's the other cartoon people. Right? Kingslanding. Five seconds. What TV shows in Kings Landing? Answer?
Starting point is 01:23:41 Is Game of Thrones. Yes, that's right. Well, anyway, Amy, there it is. There it is. That last one, I was all over the place. In my head, I was like, golden girls. Nothing was going to work. Congratulations on your win.
Starting point is 01:23:57 What are you going to do with your prize? What is my prize? No, nothing. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Oh, man. So there's this chicken named Colorado,
Starting point is 01:24:12 and it got too large for her own legs to support herself due to factory farm chickens. Oh, wow. They're bred to grow really quickly, like way faster than they should. But there's this rescue farm that will take in these chickens. Poor Colorado, they thought they were going to have to put her down because she just was so uncomfortable.
Starting point is 01:24:28 She couldn't walk. She couldn't support herself. Well, the husband, at this sanctuary. He read about a chicken wheelchair online. Chicken wheelchair. Yeah. So then he built one for Colorado.
Starting point is 01:24:38 And ever since Colorado got her wheelchair, her sparkle is back. Is this a real story? Yes. There's a rescued factory farm. They rescued chickens that are, you know, basically born to fatten up and then give birth or eat. Yeah, eat, actually. And Colorado got saved. They built a wheelchair.
Starting point is 01:25:01 You can believe that or what? No, a wheelchair. A chicken named Colorado in a wheelchair. All of those things. That's what it's all about right there. That was Tell Me Something Good. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Relying on technology allows us to forget five things a day.
Starting point is 01:25:18 I saw that. And I agree because I don't know anybody's phone number and I don't know how to get anywhere. That's on the list. Because I always just type it in. Like with my phone, I'll just yell at my Siri to take me somewhere. What are the things we forget? So the five things we forget are. passwords, other people's phone numbers, how to spell certain words.
Starting point is 01:25:35 Oh, man, me too. And I don't even try anymore. I hit it, and if it doesn't autocrect, I just send it anyway. So it's either spell check or hopefully it's the person's spell recognized on the other side of it, because I don't even try. How to do basic math, and then how to write legibly. Because between our phones and technology or computers, like we don't really write that much anymore. And then some of the things are outside of the top five, like Bobby, you mentioned directions,
Starting point is 01:25:58 birthdays, what time shows are on. Oh, birthdays. It's actually helped me. I don't know anybody's birthday, but having... The calendar helps you. Big time. And I put in the people's birthdays that I really like. Basically, it's just Amy and my exes.
Starting point is 01:26:11 Wow. I know. I know. So, oh, you know, another funny thing. People forget. This was number six on the list. So almost top five. Their own phone number.
Starting point is 01:26:20 Like, sometimes if they're asked for it, they fill it out, like, sometimes they're like, shoot, what is my own phone number? Yeah, you don't have to say that much. You've had yours forever. I've had my phone number. 2003? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:31 So you've had the same one. I switched a few years ago, and it did take me a while to learn it because I was like, oh, I don't really know. You don't call yourself. Right. Yeah. I do sometimes I'm really lonely. Oh. Hey, Bobby.
Starting point is 01:26:43 Hey, you good? Yeah, I'm okay. How what else? So couples in happier relationships say these things to each other more often. So you can, you know, jot these down, not if you're driving, but just make sure that you're telling your partner this. Thank you. If you're expressing gratitude in your relationship, even for the story. small things, not just for the big, it will really
Starting point is 01:27:03 impact things. You make me laugh. Make sure you let them know that they're funny because couples that can laugh together, it means that they, you know, enjoy each each other's company and each other's jokes. You mean a lot to me. So people want to feel valued and appreciated. So make sure you remind them. And then lastly,
Starting point is 01:27:19 I love you. Like, if you're not someone that says it all the time, but simply put, saying I love you is an active reminder of your admiration for one another. Puppies never said it. I know to anybody. to my dog all time but next there's still time
Starting point is 01:27:34 this is the year Amy's put her fist in the air like she was pumping me up you can do it yeah 2019 right yeah of course what else okay you know the the top most productive time of day when is it for you
Starting point is 01:27:48 when are you the most productive two parts either like 6 a.m. which I'm not a morning person but I've been awake a few hours to that's what we start doing I'm like an hour into the show probably then or like 6 p.m. right before I go, like, I have a few hours before I go down. You're like, I'm just hammering away at the next day.
Starting point is 01:28:05 Oh, wow. But my schedule's odd. Yeah, you're not really average. So for those people that are listening right now, it's the first three hours of your day. That's when you're most productive. That's me. Okay. 6 a.m.
Starting point is 01:28:14 I'm still in there. I wake up at 3.30 now. Yeah. But that's when you are cranking stuff out. So if you have your list of MIT's, do you know MIT's? My husband taught me this. A military term? It's your most important tasks.
Starting point is 01:28:27 So he tries to help me make lists and private. prioritize them and he's like, what are you in my T's? Number them, one through ten and knock out one to ten. I'm kind of hot. It's kind of hot. Right. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby.
Starting point is 01:28:44 Tell me something good. Firefighters in Tennessee cut through a wall at a family's home to rescue a dog that was chasing a squirrel in the attic. The dog's up in the attic, chasing after a squirrel, falls through. and firefighters, they go in Chattanooga and they go and they have to cut a hole in the wall and they get Bella out who's a wiener dog luckily everybody survived
Starting point is 01:29:09 everybody's good firefighters just used to saw cut through the wall they're like Bella they're trying to make the dog not move while they're cutting the wall so they cut back there but the dog obviously runs to the sound but everything's good
Starting point is 01:29:19 so good for the firefighters, good for the dog everybody wins in that one that's funny huh? It's funny because everybody got out of okay all right there that's what it's all about right there That's Tell Me Something Good. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:29:33 Boney up to day. This story comes to us from Royal Palm Beach, Florida. A 28-year-old man's working at Arby's. He's supposed to get off at 10 p.m. And the manager comes up and says, hey, someone called in, I need you to work overtime. He's like, look, I got plans on my girlfriend, no. The manager pulls out pepper spray, pepper sprays him, and chases him around the store with a knife, trying to make him stay and work overtime.
Starting point is 01:29:57 But he pepper sprayed him because he just, He just don't want to work more? Yeah, he didn't want to work overtime, and the manager's like, no, that's not acceptable. Pepper sprayed him and chased him with a knife to make him stay. I wonder if he thought that that would work. He was not going to be a very effective employee. If I'm saying, like you spray him and then makes more sandwiches? It's not very smart.
Starting point is 01:30:11 Crazy that that guy is the boss. So I'm Lunchbox at your Bonehead Story of the Day. Come on, Bobby Bone Show. Get your bones on. Bobby Bone Show.
