The Bobby Bones, post-show pre-show.
Well, we have just finished today's show.
You know, I'm not going to get to watch Game of Thrones on Sunday.
I'll be in Los Angeles in a hotel.
Oh, boo.
I can't watch it on HBO live.
It's not live.
You have to wait for it to load and then watch it after midnight.
That sucks.
Oh, man.
Wait, can I watch any way American Idol's on?
Oh, yeah, don't watch.
Game of Thrones.
I thought it would be later.
Yeah, no.
No one watches that anyway.
Game of no.
Yeah, it knows.
Game of no way I'm watching.
No, that just sucks.
Game of I'm watching American Idol.
Yeah, I'll watch it on Monday, I guess.
Yeah, I'm pretty excited about that.
A couple things I wanted to mention in the post show, pre-show.
So they've stopped airing Finding Neverland on HBO.
because, I guess,
what Mike Dea was telling me about this.
Why did they stop hearing it?
Well, didn't it came out and said something else about it.
Oh, there was another inaccuracy in the documentary.
And so there have been a lot of it.
Again, I'm just going to say again,
I believe the boys.
I do believe that they're men now,
that something happened.
But now more and more stories are coming out
that their stories aren't exactly accurate.
And once that happens,
it's like being in court,
if you're a little wrong on something,
that's a big,
you're considered wrong on something.
Yeah,
but people are,
they're not realizing it's a documentary,
like this is still like a movie.
It's not like,
it has to be factual.
Documentaries don't have to be real.
Yeah,
that's all point of this is,
yes, yes.
Do they?
Yeah,
documentary is real.
You can be fictional documentaries.
That's called a movie.
I think that's what they are.
Like, documentaries are supposed to be real.
Oh,
I always see them as,
that's like when we watch the documentary,
you're like,
oh, they steer it in one direction,
like,
editorially, like,
But even news stories that are giving facts, they're always coming from a perspective.
Oh, I almost thought they were kind of just like, no, documenters supposed to document what's happened.
Documentation.
But the people they're interviewing don't necessarily have to tell the truth because...
Well, they don't.
You can't make someone tell the truth.
Right.
My whole point is this documentary that's supposedly real.
They've stopped airing Finding Neverland.
It appears HBO has stopped airing it that coincides more with doubt being cast on the testimony of victim.
This is from the story, Wade Robinson and James.
Safechuck. There have been claims about the train station where Safe Chuck claims he was abused
in 1983, then it was not yet billed. There are just things.
Oprah Winfrey also appears to be changing her stance on the accusations. She pulled the
interviews that had been posted on our YouTube channel. There's also some stuff
with, like stuff coming out about the Wade Robson guy. Like he was selling memorabilia
anonymously. No. Like he was doing, listen, I still believe something happened. There's a lot of
There's a lot of things happening, though, that maybe it wasn't exactly as they said.
And then you have to question, wait, if they're not being exactly truthful,
are they being truthful at all?
Not even at this about anything, just the general rule is.
And the HBO put out a story that says, we did not axe leaving Neverland.
The network said it would be available HBO go,
revealed there was second most watch program.
So whatever the story is, it's not there anymore.
Now I had Mike D watched the 30-minute documentary on YouTube that was from the Jackson's.
Did that make you cast any more doubt?
Not really.
I mean, they did provide that timeline of like Wade
of when he came out with that
of that he was in financial trouble
and it kind of like matched up
and then right before that, yeah,
he was selling some of the memorabilia
and Michael Jackson gave him to get money.
Anonymously.
Anonymously, and they found out it was him.
There's just a lot of weird stuff happening
and in all levels, it seems.
But was a documentary good
that YouTube Michael Jackson wanted to?
No, I mean, it was really quickly put to
you can tell it's basically two interviews.
They're like, yes, we gotta go,
we have 30 minutes to do this.
So it's like two interviews sitting at a table.
It's pretty much the whole thing.
Would you recommend any of us watch it?
Nah. All right.
They had a whole city left
to the best cities to live in.
Which is always interesting because a lot of our cities
that our show has syndicated to are in some of these cities
and I think I've been to most of these in my travels.
Oh, and you're many of travels.
New York City dropped to 90th.
Oh wow.
Because of the overcrowding and the cost of living.
I'm not a New York City guy.
I go and it's fine.
Of New York and L.A.
I like probably New York the best when it's not cold because I can just get places faster.
Oh yeah, that L.A. traffic.
Ooh.
I get car sick.
Okay, so top 10.
Is this 10 here?
It is all time.
Where's the top?
I know number one.
I have top five.
I saw a top 10 list.
I only have five here.
Number five, Des Moines, Iowa.
Really?
Never been.
You have?
Yeah, it's very nice.
People are nice.
I think it's jobs plus cost of living plus crime rate, all of that.
Number four, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Been there.
Fantastic city.
Yep.
Love it.
I'm a huge Arkansas fan and from Arkansas, obviously.
Colorado Springs at number three.
Love it.
Yep.
Which is awesome.
Number one is Denver, which is awesome.
And number one is Austin, Texas.
Ooh.
Yeah.
It's a good list.
Foreign embraced.
Yeah, Austin's.
Shout out.
I'm surprised Nashville's not on there.
But I love.
Vegas, probably seven.
Well, no, neither one of them made the top ten.
Oh, they did it? I saw the top ten.
Oh.
But, yeah.
Yeah, Austin's the best.
Austin voted the best city to live in for the third year in a row.
Oh, I have all ten right here.
Go ahead. What's six?
Okay, six is Minneapolis.
It gets really cold there.
Like it, but it gets really cold there when it's cold.
Heard good things.
Seven is San Francisco.
I'd never been in San Francisco.
Oh, it's so awesome.
I love that city.
That's the first one that ever went in California with my husband.
eight is Portland
nine is Seattle
yeah both are so
they're so up in the corner
you don't even feel like
you feel like you're so isolated
really yeah and the time's different
the people are they're very nice
it's very woodsy
you've been to both Portland and Seattle
which ones do you like better
because Portland's like really cool right
Portland's real cool
Seattle's super techie feeling
Portland's more hippie feeling
I mean I probably like Seattle a little more
but I enjoy them both.
I'm such a grunge fan of that.
I enjoyed downtown Portland's cooler than downtown Seattle, though, to me.
Like, I need to go over there and check it all out.
What else?
And then shout out some of my old stomping grounds, Raleigh, Durham, North Carolina.
Yeah.
And Durham's really becoming cool.
That was a number 10.
But Raleigh, Durham, by the way, not one city.
Nope.
Because they're yelling me for saying it.
Raleigh and Durham, I know, but I used to fly it out.
Because I lived an hour south there in Southern Pines or an hour north or something.
Anyway, I got to give Eddie a shout out here because in McAllen, Texas.
What?
It made the list?
I had 112.
Wow!
Guys, I was born and raised in McAllen, Texas.
What up?
Shout out.
Real Grandi Valley.
Mm-hmm.
You call it Rio Grande Valley?
Yeah.
Is that what it's called?
It's on Rio Grande Valley, yeah.
Really?
I'm not saying you're wrong.
Yeah, that's how we pronounce it.
We said a lot of things wrong down there, though.
I don't think it's wrong.
You just said how you say it, right?
Real Brandi.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Like sometimes I say,
Caesar Chavez and it's like, Eddie's like, no, it's Caesar Chavez.
That's Eddie being a douche though.
I'm perfect.
Or like Manchak and Minchaca.
Yeah.
I think that's kind of it today.
We're kind of in a hurry.
Anything else going on?
Amy, what do you?
Anything you'd like to say?
No, I got a friend in town.
I got a friend who I haven't seen in a long time.
I got another friend who.
What is that?
Got another friend.
She's been messing around.
I think she's going to
Sario Speedwagon
By here
Dang, dude on the ride, baby
You made my brain just hurt on that one
I'm like, what is that song?
Wait, what, yeah, is that
Arias smearing it?
Didn't we see them on a boat?
Yes, we did.
And then, is that the one lunchbox that they were?
No, okay.
Lunchbox stopped the Doobie Brothers
were a bunch of homeless people.
I did it.
I thought there was some local band.
Yeah.
Yeah, they were.
He was like, I'll see them play on the sidewalk.
Boy, yeah.
That was rough.
All right, this all right,
this all right.
Who heard it from a friend who
I like this song
Heard from another
You'd been messing around
They say you got a boyfriend
And then the Doobie Brothers
Would be
What are you waving at?
Oh no, I'm just waving to Jill in the glass window
No, my friend, she just came through the glass window
What are you going to play?
What are you going to play?
Well, is that what you want?
Yeah, yeah, yeah
Oh, come on listen to that.
Dude, that Dubby Girls' greatest hits
I play it, I burned that thing up
Now were their real names Duby or they just after the Duby?
No, they like the Doobie.
Okay, guys.
The lead singer of Dubos was Michael McDonald's.
Oh, right.
I didn't know if it was Michael McDonald's Doobie.
Listen to that.
Yeah.
Yeah, Dubro's are really good.
Their music's really good.
And they came out and Lunchbox was like, who are these local old guys?
They're the guys that like ask for money on the corner.
They're good.
I mean, I mean.
Jesus is just
A right with me
They sing a little higher than that
Who was the guy you saw in the building in Austin
And you were freaking out with the white long beard
That was the freaking Oakridge boys
That guy, yeah
Different man
But I saw them, yeah
I know, but I mean
I feel like
Same era
Same time
Maybe 60s, yeah
Probably
That's what I mean
They did freak out
The only other person I saw him freak out that much was
Mokkav
There are people nobody knows, but the Ogridge Boys walked by and I was like, that's a freaking
Oakridge boy.
Yeah.
And so I went out and was like, I'm, because I love classic country and I was like, guys,
I'm your biggest fan.
And they're like, they're like, ohm boppel.
And I was like, cool, we got a picture and then one day Yagoff's mirror and I'll walk
by who's a Russian comedian.
Yeah.
In Soviet Russia, you don't drive car, car drive you!
You saw that dude?
I saw him and he just walked by the window.
I was like the jogging off to mirror and they were like,
we've never even heard of that dude.
Whoa, China Grove.
Dun, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
His stupid brothers.
Da, da, da, da, da, da, da, da.
Yeah, jam, man.
Back in my day when I used to get high.
Oh, yeah?
Mm-hmm.
I never been high.
Driving your El Camino.
Like, this, you want to know the jam?
Yeah, the Dixieland.
Do you know what the name of that song is, though?
Blackwater.
Yeah.
Oh, black water.
Is that it called Blackwater?
Woo!
That's the one that's the end.
I want to hear some funky Dixie Lamperty Mama going to take me by the hand.
By the hand.
Take me by the hand.
Purtty Mama.
That's what it is.
Come on.
Dude Brothers, man.
And Lynchbox thought they were a cover band.
Taking it to the streets.
Oh, this is a jam.
Yeah.
They have a bunch of jams.
Yeah.
My point was they have a lot of jams.
Coming at you.
Here we are on Classic Rock.
One.
Two, two, two, two, two, two.
That's Michael McDonald
Right?
I just felt that post
I don't even know the ramp time
I just felt that post
Yeah you're reading that
Right up to it
Yeah I don't even know
Like I can just hear songs
And feel it sometimes
Yeah
All right we're gonna go
I hope Thursday's good

Hey welcome to Thursday's show
More Studio!
Morning!
This story kind of stinks because there was a worker, she's 20 years old,
and she was on her phone, she dropped in the bathtub and electrocuted her.
Now here's what happened, though.
The phone was connected to the charger.
I didn't even know that would be a thing.
I still don't think that would be a thing.
But this is like a PSA, you know, maybe it's the more you know,
but this 20-year-old was electrocuted after using her plugged in in the bath.
Oh
This is a mobile phone with a charger, right?
Not like a...
Yeah.
I just didn't think that was a thing.
Yeah, me neither.
There was another...
They have a 12-year-old girl
who did the same thing
and the same thing happened.
Wow.
Yeah.
I feel like this is definitely a...
But I guess the phone charger is connected to the wall, huh?
Same thing.
Well, I saw that and was like,
I don't want to pass that over
because I want to share that
because I would be someone that would do that.
Take a bubble bag.
Now, just your phone...
phone itself, you drop it in there, it's not going to electrocution.
Not enough power in that.
Not electric power. Right, correct.
But that from the wall charge, I guess is what you know.
Because I didn't know that was even a thing.
So, not to start off the note on the show on that kind of note.
Here's a good story that I saw.
Florida is going to punish people who leave hurricanes but leave their pets, which is
absolutely the right thing to do.
Florida, I commend you for this.
Because if you get yourself a pet, that responsibility is,
there to make sure that pet's taken care of.
You don't leave your pet to die.
Leaving pets defend for themselves
during a hurricane could be a crime in Florida.
Even outside. Even if you stay
and you leave the dog outside.
Senate Bill 1738,
which passed the Senate Agricultural
Committee, makes it a first
degree misdemeanor to leave a dog
restrained outside or unattended during
a natural disaster. And if you leave it to,
offenders can face $5,000 or a year
in prison.
I think that's a
common sense law that should have happened.
but I commend those that did there.
So I like that one too.
You know what I mean?
How are you today?
You good?
Doing good, yeah.
Yeah, me too.
I feel pretty good today.
Lunchbox?
Oh, looking good.
Oh, you look good.
Yeah.
But we need to say nothing else.
How do you feel?
How do you feel?
I mean, I feel great, but I look even better.
Isn't it always the case?
That's how we go about life.
Graduation season just around the corner.

Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day.
Let's spill the tea.
Spilling the tea will be
Lunchbox.
Oh, good.
He's always spilling tea.
He's insane.
He, like, looks for tea to spill.
Good.
Sorry, the tea comes to me, and I'm like, I got to spill it.
So, Chick-fil-A, we all love Chick-fil-A here, right?
And Chick-fil-A was nice enough.
I guess they're fans of the show, but they sent us a little card, and they said,
here's a free Chick-fil-A sandwich for everybody on the show.
So there was nine cards for a Chick-fil-A sandwich for each person.
and then there's one person named Eddie that decided he should take all nine cards
for himself.
You stole all the cards?
Nine cards?
Nine.
Nine of them not, didn't ask, hey, is it okay if I take your card?
No, he just said, you know what?
There's nine of them.
I'll take those.
Thank you.
You took all nine cards?
Can I explain?
Did you take all nine?
Is it a yes or no question?
Oh, wow.
Did you yes or no?
I took all nine.
All nine.
Guys, they'd been sitting there forever.
No.
I didn't know.
You know about them.
There's so much stuff in that glass room that you guys don't even know.
Wow.
Now, why don't you say, hey, show.
Oh.
Chick-fil-A sent nine cards.
I know you all love Chick-fil-A.
Would you like a sandwich or would you mind if I take these home to my 17 kids?
Because I saw them.
It's exactly what I was thinking.
I saw them and I go, ooh, free sandwich cards.
I do have a lot of kids.
I mean, that would be good dinner.
So I took them and we had dinner.
Guys, I've had Chick-fil-A for weeks.
It's been amazing.
Why are you bragging?
You stole our cards.
Okay.
So here's the deal.
Yeah, go ahead.
Eddie, you owe us all this air much.
I agree.
Yeah, he did that.
Okay, this is what I would prefer.
Dang it.
I'll donate my card to you.
Thank you.
So that's eight cards that I stole.
Hold on.
Let me just say this to everyone here.
There's a lot of stuff that comes to the studio.
It doesn't get to me.
It rarely gets to Amy.
If you're going to take something, just run it by Morgan number one and be like,
hey, do you mind if I take this from?
Because then this won't happen.
But some people do get upset if you take stuff like that.
Because it wasn't all them weren't meant for you.
I just saw them because I walk by every day.
Well, you know what?
Those cards are still there.
No one approached me.
Just check.
That's all.
Just general for everybody.
Just check.
Okay.
I'm not mad.
You know what?
Keep my sandwich too.
Really?
This time.
So I only stole seven.
You know what?
I tell you what?
They're all yours this time.
Yes.
If anyone's upset, I will buy you a chick-fil-A sandwich in place of Eddie's that he took.
Thank you.
There's only one person upset.
Bones.
Okay.
Lunchbox, I will give you $1.99.
There are more than $1.99.
You ever been chick-fellie?
Okay, 349.
Many times.
Dang.
I knew it was going to be about me.
Yeah, when you steal things, you get busted.
That's not worse.
Has anybody taken anything else from the studio?
Good question.
Yeah, people take stuff all the time.
As general, just go to Morgan number one,
who isn't on the air much because she works in the classroom,
just run it by her, and then if it's okay.
I did leave the milkshakes, though.
There's still milkshake cards in there.
You don't get a prize for doing what normal people are supposed to do.
Like, do you want me to reward you for not stealing?
No.
Okay.
Sorry.
I mean, why wouldn't you take the milkshakes while you're at it?
No.
Yeah, but he's not.
Eddie.
Well, he was trying to make it not obvious.
He was trying to leave something there like, oh, see, there's stuff still there.
He has extra kids.
Eddie's fostered two extra children.
Correct.
And, you know what?
A little bit of my heart is leaning your direction in general.
For sure.
So you're not mad at me?
No, you're okay.
That was, let's spill the tea.
No, you're good.
You're good.
The Bobby Bone Show.
Big three stories.
Oh, yes, our producer, Raimundo, always sitting in the glass room.
He's been gathering the news.
Raymond, know what you got?
In Louisiana, a suspect is in custody after three suspicious church fires since last month in the area.
Luckily, they got this guy before he did any more damage.
In Durham, North Carolina, a construction company was drilling on a sidewalk and hit a gas line.
It killed one person, injured 17 others.
Several people are in the hospital.
And finally, some hospitals are banning kids under the age of 14 years old from visiting as a precaution due to the measles outbreak.
In the U.S. right now, there's over 465 confirmed measles cases.
Bobby Bones show.
I love country music, and I love studying country music, and a lot of people call me
country music's youngest historian.
And there's a lot of pressure in that, so I like to bring it to the radio, and here we go.
The Bobby Bones Show on this day in country music.
Today in 1997, that's 22 years ago, this artist's appearance at a Walmart in North Richland Hills, Texas,
which was billed by some at the time as the largest outdoor in-store appearance in the history of mankind.
Tons of people showed up
What year?
1997.
Got it.
The audience got so rowdy
They actually stormed the stage
bowling over security officers
It was mayhem
Lunchboxes
I'm gonna guess
Leanne Rhymes
It's a good guess
It's a good guess
Oh, I like what you're thinking
That was your hint
There was no hint
He just gave a hit
It was in Texas
Yeah it was in Texas
She's from there
Yeah
It doesn't mean they have to be from there
But you said I like the way you're thinking
I do as a good guess
Go ahead.
Because I'm smart.
Amy?
Trisha Yerewood.
Oh.
Oh.
Eddie.
Listen, Garth Brooks has no reason to go to Walmart.
He's going to be chaotic.
It's Garth.
No.
What?
It's not.
George Tray.
On this day in 1997,
over 6,000 screaming fans show up to a Walmart for Tracy Lawrence.
Oh, this song is so good.
Oh.
This CD was...
I forgot about this CD, but it definitely was on rotation in my car.
The event drew 6,000 screaming fans who showed up to here and perform.
See them.
Autograph album, The Coast Is Clear.
Was this record here?
Tracy took the stage to perform five songs, including Stars Over Texas.
It's Stars Over Texas.
That song's so good.
Come on, man.
I forgot how good this was.
I got chills.
Oh, man, I got chills too.
Better Man, Better Off.
I'll be a better man, better off.
Time marches on.
Come on.
Time marches on.
Time marches on.
Do you want to play Pay Me at Birmingham since we, that was...
I literally just texted my best friend from high school, Andrea, because I was like,
we just played Pay Me and Birmingham.
I go, remember that?
She goes, I sure do.
She's for flying me right now.
I mean, yes, play it.
Can you not text during segments?
No, that's it.
Just in general?
Like, you could have waited 30.
No, that was important.
Oh, lunchbox stop.
You're on Facebook the whole time.
Right.
Listen.
Was it important?
Right, right.
But I like the way you sold yourself out just, I mean, you tattled on yourself.
I'm not trying to tattel myself.
Listen, this was important and yes, I want to dedicate this song to Andrea.
Okay.
Text it, text it.
On this day 22 years ago.
What would be the best is if you text it after I hit the song.
But then we would have missed out on this.
No, we wouldn't have.
That was.
On this day in country music.
Bobby Boom.
Come on.
So your kids play soccer
And I know you were telling me
That your son was put in as a goalie
He sure was
Now he didn't play soccer ever growing up
No he's only got like four
Three four practices under his belt
And like three games
He's eight
He's eight
And how did he do his goalie?
He's a tiny eight
So he's eight
But a lot of people think he's five maybe
So he's almost nine
Let's just put it that way
So as goalie
Not good
Like people scored on us
Whenever he was goalie
and I felt bad for him because, I mean, he didn't know what he was doing,
but I get it.
The coach has to test everybody out in different positions.
But I just felt like, oh, after the first goal, like, take him out.
Take him out, coach.
Like, put him somewhere else.
Because then I felt like other parents were, like, judging me, like, oh, why is your son
goalie?
Teach him how to play soccer, you know?
They look at you every time the goal scored?
I felt like it was.
I felt like it was.
Like, I felt like I had failed as a parent.
because my kid doesn't know how to play the position that he's in.
Were you embarrassed that he wasn't playing well?
No, I don't want to say it was embarrassing because, I mean, he's just, it's a kid.
It's the YNCA.
Like, we're having fun.
But some parents are definitely really into it.
Also, I would say when goals are getting scored against him, that's the time to leave him in.
We don't jerk him out after one goal.
Oh, okay.
Well, I just wanted to take that.
He, he, he, one time the ball went through in the net, and he looked up and he goes,
that's not my fault.
And I'm like, well, buddy.
Lunchbox is a big soccer player.
Oh, man, Amy, I feel bad for you because goalie is probably the worst position on the field.
And man, that's just, I mean, at that age, you're going to score goals no matter what.
So there's not really good goalies and bad goalies, but.
I know.
When I would play with Lunchboxes' rec soccer team, Bobby played goalie.
He put me a goalie.
And how was it?
I didn't know if that's where they put the worst person or not.
I didn't want to say it.
Oh, I was fine.
I never went soccer in my life.
That's definitely where you, at that age, that's where you put the one that.
it's the worst.
Oh, I thought they were just testing him out.
No, they're not just testing him out.
They just don't think he's that good out in the field.
He's a hustler.
I will tell you that.
Like, he goes from one of the,
he will hustle that ball.
He may kick the ball the wrong direction
or steal the ball from his own teammate
because he hasn't quite figured that out.
But he hustles.
And Sashira, she's so fast.
Like, it's crazy.
She's so fast.
Does she play goalie?
No.
Exactly.
But she's like,
that's what the coach is doing,
but.
Do they like playing soccer?
her.
Stevenson's on the fence.
Tashira's all in.
She wants to get as much as she can.
How can I do more?
And she talks trash, too.
Oh, boy.
Yeah.
To, like, bigger boys that are bigger than her.
And, like, they, like, I thought it was going to have to break up a fight, but she doesn't
take crap from anybody, basically.
But that stems from her time at the orphanage.
She was like, Queen B there.
And let me tell you, I saw some of that coming out.
Ever since she got to America, some of that has died down.
But out on the soccer field, I saw some of it kind of coming back.
And I'm like, oh, watch out world.
She's back.
world.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan No. 2. 30-second skinny.
Scotty McCreary won season 10 of American Idol, and he says he still checks in on the show.
He's watched a few episodes of the latest season and hopes another country singer finds
popularity from the show, and we see them down here in Nashville a year or two from now.
Dan and Shea were big winners at the ACM Awards, but Shea said there really isn't any competition
among artists.
He thinks they should help each other up.
Those are my friends, and we all put a lot of work to get where we are right now.
And I think there's room for every success, for every single artist.
I think there's room for all of us.
And instead of trying to kick each other on the way up, the ladder,
I think that we need to help each other up.
Keith Durbin jumped out of a cake for Loretta Lenn's birthday show.
And backstage, Keith ran into George Strait afterwards
and offered to do the same for George Strait's 87th birthday.
But Keith Urban says George Strait responded by saying he thinks he will have Leanne Wulmec do it instead.
I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinning.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So this guy was feeding his small dog, these little sausages,
and then all of a sudden the dog collapsed on the ground and stopped breathing.
But someone nearby ran to the rescue.
And it's all on video.
The person starts like, I don't know, giving a little puppy Hamlich,
the sausage comes out and the dog hasn't really revived itself.
yet, though. So then
they start doing CPR.
Wow. Wait, there's a puppy, and they do
Heinleck on the puppy? Yeah. CPR on the puppy.
Says here, dislodge
the stuck sausage from the puppy
before performing
chest compressions on the animal
until it revived.
And then CPR? Yeah. Wow.
Yeah. I guess that's CPR. I was thinking like
mouth to mouth. Yeah, they could do that
too. The dog.
Yeah. Hey, good. And they have it all in video?
Mm-hmm. That's crazy.
This sauce must be good.
That dog eating them that fast.
There's just something about CPR or any type, like a squirrel or a dog getting revived or a cat.
I mean, there's things about animals.
They'll be a movie where 97 people will be shot in a gangster movie.
And I'd be like, oh, okay.
But if they shoot a dog, I'm like, no, not the dog.
Yeah.
Yeah, and that movie, what I, Triple Frontier that I told you I watched on Netflix,
this is, like, yeah, tons of people were getting shot, but then they were hiking up
this mountain with the mule like a donkey and the donkey fell off the mountain and I was like
I couldn't believe I was like what do you have to do that for you know this donkey didn't do
anything 17 people just got blown away in combat and everybody's like not the donkey all right
thank you Amy that's good that was tell me something good bobby bone show bonehead story up the day
this story comes us from chesterfield Virginia there was a woman she had three guys in her car they
were going to break into a house.
So they pull up in the neighborhood.
She drops them off and she goes and parks down the street,
waiting for them to come out.
One of the neighbors is like, man, that car's kind of suspicious.
Comes out, starts taking pictures of her car.
And she's the only one in it?
Only one in it.
Yeah.
And she's like, I don't like you taking pictures of me.
Lady's like, I don't like you taking pictures of her.
No way.
Wow.
No way.
That's crazy.
Also, if you're one of the loot dudes,
don't you see cops talking to her
and you don't walk up to the car?
You think.
There's so many boneheads here.
This is like multi-bonehead.

folks it's your buddy and mine
Mr. Bobby Bones
Let me know.
Transmitting across America.
This is the Bobby Bones show.
That's right.
So what's the story this pre-dress
really expensive shoes?
Well, no, there's a new Instagram account
that's been created called Preachers Sneakers.
And it just like puts up pictures
of these like celebrity type pastors
who have like Yeezies and like,
Gucci belts and different things.
And I don't know.
It's just kind of interesting.
So I started checking it out.
I'm like,
oh, whoa.
But they're like the pastor to like Kanye and Justin Bieber and stuff like that.
I just think it's a fun follow.
But some people are like, oh, so when I'm tithing, like where is the money going?
But some of these pastors, they may have book deals or other things where they have money
coming in other ways.
But they are pastors of like mega, mega church.
So you know that tie them out is probably pretty big.
At Mount Pine Baptist, our preacher lived in a house next to the church.
Is that normal where they would put that?
Yeah.
Like they had a house.
Yeah.
And they put them next to the church.
It was right there.
And we just walk over and sometimes we just walk over and like eat.
Yeah.
Over to the preacher's house.
Yeah.
And just walk over there to show up.
A lot of times.
It's sort of like there's a pastor in South Carolina.
I think this past Christmas he bought his wife a $200,000 dollar Lambo.
Oh, I saw that.
Oh, really?
Here's the thing.
Come on.
Let me say this about money.
Don't tell people what to do.
with their money.
Oh, yeah.
If there's no sort of, hey, this is crooked going on,
you can't tell people that they can't have a Gucci belt or buy a 200.
You don't know how they got their money?
I'm just saying, like Amy said, when you're tithing, whatever you say?
I'm saying that's what some people are saying, the issue.
I don't have an issue with this.
I just think the page is entertaining because then it shows you some of the shoes,
like how much they are.
Like, well, you click on these in the past year,
you think he's looking cute all stage with his Nikes and then you're like,
$1,000.
And then there's like another pair for $5,000.
What?
Yeah, here, check these out.
Yeah.
Wow, those are $5,000 shoes that Pastor's wearing?
Yeah.
Where are you getting that money?
See, I know.
I'm just playing.
That's what everyone's thinking.
I know.
It's what they're thinking, but I'm just telling you to challenge that thought.
When you see someone that is spending money on something,
challenge that thought of they shouldn't be doing that with their money.
I don't care what they're spending it on.
It's not illegal or hurting anyone.
People will be like, oh, they only donate.
so and so, like somebody's super famous
to come out who's worth millions and you'll hear, oh, they're
done to $5,000. People go, that's all they donated?
They're worth millions.
Okay, you do what you do with your money
and you let others do with their money
and who knows what else they're doing.
So unless there's any wrongdoing that we find,
where do you get that money that's $5,000 Tuesday?
Holy cow.
They could have been a gift from a person.
And preachers
get paid a salary.
Not so much dependent on
tithing for the most part. Oh, they don't get the percentage of that? As far as I know, you agree
to be the pastor at a church. See, I don't know how the big mega churches work, but like at,
I grew up going to a really, really, really small church. And yeah, like things that happened
at the church were dependent on what you gave. Super small church. So I don't know how the mega
things work and they may have, you know, curriculum they sell or something. I remember when
our preacher showed up with a no fear shirt. I was like, how did you afford that? No fear. That was big.
No Fear? That was so awesome.
Did you have No Fear shirts, Amy? Do you know what that was? Yeah, of course.
Morgan number two, you probably don't even know because you're a kid.
No.
You're 25. You don't even know what No Fear is, do you?
Nope.
Do you know what hypercolor is?
Come on.
Oh, you're missing out on life.
Hypercolor?
No. No idea.
What about those shirts that was like baseball is life?
The rest is just details.
They're so cool.
Oh, man.
They were the jam.
Those were good.
Here are your top three songs in country music.
this week at number three this week.
Beautiful crazy, which has been number one for like ten years, but it falls the top three.
Number three.
Number two.
Brett Young here tonight.
And number one, one that got away from Michael Ray.
Those are your big three songs right now.
Your number one pop song.
You know what that is?
Seven rings.
Bye.
Ariana Grande.
You know, sometimes over, just in general, I go like, hey, you should know this.
Like, before Cardi B was big, I had to sit down with you, Amy, and be like, Cardi B, and you were like, nah, what is this stupid?
Post Malone, you were like, nah, and this stupid.
Remember those times?
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
I'm about to give you the other one.
Okay.
Here's a new one.
Well, I'll try not to disregard it because, I mean, you kind of been right, so.
Well, I'm not right.
Popular culture is right.
People are right.
And then I just kind of sit around that side a little bit.
Yeah, I just wasn't as in tune with pop culture.
I wasn't there yet.
Well, I'm telling you ahead of time.
The new, like, pop culture girl that you should know and your kids are going to know is this Billy Eilish.
You familiar with her?
No.
Okay.
She's like 17.
She actually makes pretty good music.
She makes music like she's older.
But, and I'll play some of this stuff here.
Here is Ocean Eyes.
Here is My Strange Addiction.
And these are all the clips from the office that she put in her song.
Here.
No, Billy, I haven't done that dance since my wife died
This is a scorn, by the way, if you guys know the office
People out there who need to learn how to do the scorn
So if you have kids
Also, I just like the music
That's what you need to know
That's what you need to know
I take what I want when I want
And I want you
Are you caught up?
Yeah, tell me her name again
Billy Eilish
Got it.
Just add some friction.
Okay, there you go.
Introduce that to your kids.
It would be cool.
Okay.
They probably don't know it yet.
She's only 17?
Wow.
I know.
Sometimes I feel creepy listening to it because she's only 17.
I know.
What she's saying?
She means friction.
I don't know.
I don't worry about that stuff.
But yeah, yeah.
Morgan number two, do you listen to her at all?
Yeah, she has that song, like, when the party's over or something that I love to work out to.
See?
Morgan number two is on it.
Okay, all right, there you go.
Guys, lucky to be alive.
He's running, and he gets hit by a car.
Except he's running on a treadmill when he gets hit by a car.
He's inside of a fitness studio and a car comes crashing through.
Oh.
I got thrown back and I could see the treadmill coming at me and I was afraid of being crushed
and I rolled to the side and I think that's what saved me.
Obviously I wasn't meant to die.
She didn't really seem fully coherent about what happened.
She didn't really have a grasp of somebody was hurt.
Just before 6 a.m., a red Mercedes SUV came crashing through the gym.
Guy just running on treadmill.
The retired teacher was thrown to the ground, covered in broken glass,
and like he says, the treadmill started to come at him,
and he thought he was going to get smushed by it.
He didn't.
But he ended up being okay.
The woman tried to leave, but an off-duty cop stopped her.
It's not clear why it happened,
but I would assume, suggest there's probably...
Outerline Pactor, like, alcohol or something.
If I'm just guessing, you know?
Just guessing, yes.
So, here is Cindy in New Hampshire.
Hey, Cindy.
Good.
What's happening with you?
So, first of all, let me just say that I love, love, love you guys.
I love your show.
I love your positivity.
I live in every morning.
I have about an hour commute.
Listen, and then when I get into work,
I put my computer on your station.
Just love you guys.
Thank you.
But I wanted to tell you that I live in New Hampshire
and my son goes to school.
is Embry Riddle in Daytona Beach, Florida.
And he listens.
So when we talk, you know, when we call or FaceTime,
we're always talking about the funny things that you guys have on the show,
or we both love the dance party.
And the funniest one was when I picked him up for Christmas break on the way home.
We were laughing the whole way home about how the big episode with Lunchbox
and the gift that he received,
Christmas time.
We just laughed.
What was the gift he received
Christmas time?
The chicken two years ago?
No.
It was the headphones.
The headphones.
The headphones at Christmas time.
Oh, you got us all that.
Yeah, you got his headphones.
And then he was grumpy about it.
Oh, my God.
We laughed so hard.
We didn't.
He's grumpy about all kinds of stuff.
Well, that's cool.
What's your son's name?
Give him a shout out real quick.
So my son's name is Raymond.
And he goes to Embry Riddle.
He's going to be a pilot.
Wow.
And, yeah.
And he, him and I, we kind of connect because, you know, when we call each other, I was like, oh, did you hear Bobby Bonds say this?
Or Amy say this.
Well, let me ask you a question, Cindy.
Well, I have you here.
What do you think about the Old Town Road song with Billy Ray Cyrus?
You know the one that goes, I got the horses in the back?
You know that song or no?
I don't think I know that song.
Oh, you're in for a treat.
Is it like that song where everybody's like, is it country, is it not country?
And then Billy Ray Cyrus got on it, nothing yet?
Okay, okay, alright, I'm gonna play on you.
Hey, I appreciate you calling, but you're in for a treat right now if you never heard.
Yeah, I'm gonna take my host to the Old Town Road.
Thank you for calling.
But this is the jam here.
Angie and Kentucky, what's happening with you?
Good morning.
Good morning.
I am an operations manager, and,
I love the song, Country Roads, and I do think it is a country song.
Are you talking about, I've got the horses in the back?
All-time Road?
Yes.
It's jam-law.
I think it's just good.
I like Billy Ray on it.
I also just get irritated when people say anything isn't anything.
If I were to play a song and they were like, that's definitely not polka, I'd fight for it to be polka.
But I'm doing all these interviews about this song.
There are bigger problems in the world than what's considered country.
but to me this is a country song
The theme's country, they have
this country artist on it, this kid's country
but there's also, you can also be hip-hop and big country.
Who cares? I'm not getting into this. It drives me crazy.
I got an argument with our boss about it.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah, and I was like, can't nobody tell me nothing?
Oh, so you just start quoting lyrics.
Yeah, and then he was like, what? And I was like,
can't tell me nothing.
I don't even care that much.
I just don't like whenever anyone's defining art.
We don't even live in the land of genres
in our heads.
Did your head have genres?
Not really.
Yeah.
Are you going, huh?
I think I'm going to go into the classic rock part of my brain today.
No, we don't.
This is me right now, my brain.
I've been talking about this song so much.
Whatever.
Yeah, it's good to have a mix.

Here's Amy's pile of stories.
So an American News.
Airlines flight attendant is just walking down the aisle doing her thing. She got a tray full of drinks
and a passenger bumps her and the drinks fall over someone. But do you know who they fell all over?
The CEO of American Airlines.
Wait, so her boss? The CEO of American Airlines was on an American Airlines flight and she is like
walking down the aisle with a tray and another passenger just bumps her and the and the drinks
spill. Not even just her boss. Like the head of American Airlines.
Like the one person you probably don't want to spill drinks on.
But he was super cool, luckily.
Great sport about it.
He later went back and chatted with her for a little bit,
joked about it the rest of the flight,
and even took a picture together,
and it got posted on Instagram.
Good for her that he was cool.
Yeah, shout out CEO, Doug Parker.
Bobby, was this your flight attendant girl?
What airline was it?
Oh, American Airlines?
No.
Oh, I mean.
I don't have a flight attendant girl.
Okay.
What you did?
Yeah, you did go out with one and then we haven't heard anything about her flying the friendly skies.
Okay.
Quick story was flying.
Nashville to Los Angeles, met a flight attendant, went out with her when she came back to Nashville.
Yes.
She came back to Nashville one other time that I didn't tell you guys about.
Excuse me.
I don't want to tell you right then.
But this has been a while.
Went out one other time.
But she just lives too far away.
Occasionally we'll text.
I texted her yesterday.
We were texting a little bit.
But it's more like, I mean, I like her as a person.
So you text your guest?
No, this is why now that I remember, she has a dog that she wants to, she found a dog.
I was like, hey, how do I get this thing adopted?
She's like, I know you love dogs.
And so, yeah.
But yeah, that is, I will say that is nothing.
That is nothing.
Like, it's officially nothing because it's just too far.
It was, from my initial thought was that she lived too far because she is too far.
But she was great, but it is nothing.
That is nothing.
So it's not even really the end of the action.
to get on a plane, do you get nervous that she's going to be the flight attendant?
Then I get nervous.
If I'm flying that airline, I go, hey, I wonder if she, but I know what day she works,
because since they fly a couple of few days at a time, they only fly for that little block
of time.
But no, that is nothing, that is not anything, and that is also nothing.
So if she's in the same city as you, you guys won't get together again and not tell us?
Not like a date.
I don't think so.
Maybe, I don't know if she'd call me like having a town.
I would go see her and like hang out, but I don't think there's anything romantic there.
Oh, so you guys have never smooched.
Oh
Oh, my big sharpie lid came off
Closy hands
What?
What?
Okay, you die
Why?
I thought it worked.
I thought it worked.
So people on the internet are freaking out
because this hiring manager revealed
Well, she's like an executive manager
At Insider Inc.
And she shared a recent article
about how over the past 10 years
if she has interviewed someone
and no matter how amazing they were in the process
if they did not send her a thank you note
after the interview
immediately disqualified for the position
sounds pretty dumb to me
I interview people, I hire people
I've never even thought about a thank you note
I know that's why everyone's freaking out about this
and so and I was curious about your thoughts Bobby
because yeah how old is she
oh she's an executive and she's been interviewing for 10 years
well okay so fine I don't know her age but let's say 40
She needs to chill out
Thank you notes are nice
But you should never expect a thank you know
For anything
When you have interviewed for something
Have you ever sent a thank you note?
And you know what I thought
Well isn't that cute
But I already made my mind up kind of
So thank you note
Wasn't going to disqualify anyone
No but I mean you yourself
Have ever sent one myself?
Have you sent one after like having some sort of
No
An interview?
No
No
Or like a meeting with someone
Like hey thanks for your time
Sometimes I'll just send like a bucket of cash
but like, no, no, no.
No.
You mean, it can't hurt.
It can't hurt.
You're right.
Here's what I like.
Thank you notes.
If they're sincere, you know me.
I'm a man of little words,
but when I give those words,
like they are as serious as could be.
So I will send it if I'm like super appreciative for something.
And you're interviewed a lot of people.
Okay.
Only a couple people have ever given me a kidney.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
They get a thank you note.
All right.
All right.
So lastly, Kim Kardashian is studying to become a lawyer.
She's not going to law school.
Well, here's the thing.
California has a program where you study on your own
and then you apprentice with the practicing lawyer
and she plans on taking the bar exam in 2022.
Well, good for her and I hope she does.
That's awesome.
Anyone that can continue their education and learn,
I think that's fantastic.
And it's easy to make a joke like,
well, I hear of Lindsay Loyan's going to be a doctor.
She's been watching a lot of Grey's Anatomy.
But we didn't do that.
Yeah, and Kim Kay's interest goes back to in-law,
goes back to her dad, Robert Kardashian.
That's how they got rich to begin with.
He worked on the O.J. Simpson case.
She said that his library in their house had this secret door, like, that you full of books.
And if you pushed it, it would go into this secret room.
And that's where they kept like...
Oh, their lip pumper.
You walk in and it's all lip pumper.
What is it called? Limp plumber?
Lip filler?
The lip pumper kit.
Yeah, it's all lip kit.
Yeah, no, no, no.
But it was like OJ evidence books, and that on weekend she would snoop through it and like...
OJ's in there.
Look at the forensics and stuff.
You push the book.
He's like, hey, kids.
Give my glove back.
Hey, I did it.
Okay, maybe that's my file.
I do, though, on a serious note,
I think it's fantastic if she really is doing that.
Anyone?
Yeah.
You want to further your education and just learn?
I love it.
Love it, love it, love it.
But how cool would it be if you pushed Encyclopedia P,
and you open it up, and there he is.
It's AM OJ. Simpson.
Hang it out.
That's where he gets his rest.
She needs a lawn chair.
What if you get Kim Kay's your,
lawyer one day. I'm out.
That'd be awesome. I'm like, wait, what?
This is my, oh yeah, no.
Hey, hey, according to neuroscientists, people aren't fully adult with their brains until
they're in their 30s. I think about that.
Sometimes I don't even feel like I'm an adult still.
Yeah, I know. I was like, hmm, it's to come at 39.
New research suggests people don't become fully adult in the ways of their brain thinks and
behave until they're in their 30s.
You know, I was reading about one state making their buying cigarette laws 21.
And I'm not a fan of that because, first of all, if they eliminate cigarettes, I'd be fine.
Because I don't smoke. I've never smoked. I don't think cigarettes are good.
That being said, though, I don't think that they should raise the age because if you're 18 and you're an adult, if they say 18 is the age, that you're an adult, and you can go vote, which is the most important thing you can do.
if you can go and serve in the military,
which is a very important thing to do.
If you're an adult,
you should be able to do adult things like buy cigarettes.
Now, if they say you're not adult till 25, great.
Let us just have a standard age where you're now an adult.
There's too many things where it's 18, 21,
but lottery tickets are this age.
But if you're going to buy beer, it's 21.
We just need a line.
We just need to age, whatever it is.
Let's just decide on it.
And we need clarity.
We're just walking around all these blurring.
spaces. I didn't like they raise the age. First of all, don't sell cigarettes. I'm fine.
It's terrible. But you shouldn't raise the age if you're saying 18 is the age that you can also
go and vote. So should they lower the drinking age? Yeah, they should. It should be 18 or they can
lower, they can raise everything else. To me, it's not about a certain action that you can do
at a certain age. It's about, what's just the age of being an adult? Like, let's just decide on that
and then that's it. Well, it sounds like now it should be 30 something. Now it's 37, right?
Man.
You can buy a lottery ticket
and we turn 51.
I just, to me, that just
sometimes I think
I have too much common sense
to get into politics
because we should just
have an age where you're now an adult.
That's it.
The end, you're an adult.
Now you can do all the adult things.
Whatever that is, good and bad.
So, yeah, I read that.
There's also the story about,
I love these stories where they ask you to land
to bed for a long time and pay you a lot of money.
Yeah.
Those are, that's so,
I'm intrigued, and I think I'd probably like to do that just to see if I could do it.
And I'm sure it's much harder than it.
We like to lay in bed, right?
Yeah, but we also like to get up and go to things.
But we also like to move around and not get bed sores.
Yeah.
But scientists are recruiting people to lay in bed and they will pay them $19,000 for 60 days.
You must eat, shower, and go to the bathroom while done laying down.
And while they're doing this is not so much about the bed, but it's about your body staying in that laying position, your blood staying in that, like your whole body being.
you know, horizontal.
Okay.
But they would pay you $19,000 for 60 days.
So someone's giving you like a sponge bath?
Yeah, I don't really know how this works.
The bathroom part's weird to me.
Well, I mean, I used the bathroom in the bed before.
It was not hard.
That was an accident though.
Yeah, but I mean, still, I wasn't like, that hurt.
I was kind of like, oops.
Oopsie.
Yes.
Uh-oh.
I mean, you wouldn't be able, like, you would think like, what is it that would
set in maybe, I mean, can you work out and stuff, like, and move your muscles? Because then there's
like atrophy or whatever, that's called. They just say they want people laying into bed for
60 days and they'll pay them $19,000. I would like to attempt that. I'd probably last about
four. Sometimes if I watch like four Netflix shows, I get a bed sore. It's not even four days.
If I watch like four shows in room, I'm like, I think you have a pimple. I get like pimples
on my butt from laying in bed. It's time for the good news.
With Bobby. Tell me something good.
This mom named Janet says her baby was struggling for air. She was trying to
trying to figure out how to help the infant.
And by the way, this is an infant.
This is a baby baby, nine-month-old baby,
when this officer arrived.
And now they're calling him a hero
because the nine-month-old was choking.
He got a call.
He has his body camera on,
so you can see all of this.
And apparently his body camera's on his shoes,
but the baby's unable to breathe.
And so he goes into, like,
what he called a miniature version of CPR, Heinleck,
and grabs the baby,
puts the baby face down in his hands.
So you got imagine take the baby, put it on your one hand.
Like you're holding a baby in your one open hand
and starts to, with his other hand,
slap her on the back like this.
Oh.
And then turned her over and did a little version of the CPR too.
And then all of a sudden the baby is like chokes
and like comes back to life.
Maybe it comes back to life, it's not the word,
but actually clears her airway and allows her to.
But isn't that the baby CPR is nutty to me.
There's just so much pressure.
I'd just be so nervous.
Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Anyway, I love recognizing our police officers, and I thought that story was awesome.
I wanted to share it. That was Tell Me Something Good.

They believe everything, but at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job.
There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan number two.
30 second skinny.
Scotty McCreary won season 10 of American Idol
and he still watches the show.
He said he hopes a country.
Country artist gains popularity from it this season, and we see him in Nashville soon.
Well, I'm going to say this Lacey K. Booth, I think if she came to town right now on the show,
that she could actually get signed start a career.
She's that good if you want a country artist.
There are a few on that show this season.
I think we're top 14.
We go live starting this weekend.
Maybe, yeah, because I leave.
But yeah, Lacey K. Booth is awesome, and I think she has a real shot,
not only winning the show, but actually being around for a while.
What else?
Keith Urban jumped out of a cake for Loretta Lynn's 87th birthday show,
and he offered backstage at that same show to do the same for George Strait when he turns 87.
But George Strait politely declined and said he thinks he'll just have Leanne Wulmack do it instead.
I would also accept that.
All right, what else?
Dan and Shea were big winners at the ACM Awards,
but Shea says it isn't about competition,
and he thinks artists should be helping each other up.
Those are my friends, and we all put a lot of work to get where we are.
right now. And I think, you know, there's room for every success for every single artist.
I think there's room for all of us.
Listen, love it. Love what he's saying. But no, they all compete. I know them all.
They all like each other, but they want to win. Everybody wants to win. They're all competing.
But it's like when we play games on this show. Do we hate each other? No. But you want to win.
Yeah. Yeah. I mean, that's the politically correct answer to give. Don't get them wrong.
They all want to win. And when they don't, no, and when they don't, they are not happy.
Oh.
What are we going to say?
Well, because we also, I was just thinking of us playing games and being competitive, we also lift each other up.
Great.
But when they don't win, they're not happy.
Okay.
But it's a good answer to give.
Go ahead.
Well, anything else, Morgan number two?
No, that's it.
I'm Morgan number two.
That's your skinny.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let's go.
Transmitting across America.
It's this time every morning where Amy tells a really corny joke and we laugh or we don't.
But on Thursday, we try to figure out the joke.
It's the investigative corny.
And we're on a five-week streak?
It's not bad.
It's not bad.
Amy, do you have your joke?
Because if we get it right, we hit that song, but that's all I'm going to give you.
Do you have your joke ready?
Yeah.
Feel pretty good about it?
Yeah.
Can you stump the team?
Maybe.
All right.
And now the investigative corny.
Morning corny.
Did you hear about the Italian chef that died?
Wait, this is a weird one for us to figure out.
It's not really an answer.
Oh.
No.
I didn't hear about the Italian.
It's not a good morning corny game.
There's not like a question.
It is a question and there is a good answer.
Okay.
No, I didn't hear about the chef that died.
So how do we guess that?
I don't know.
Yeah.
Wait, there's been other, that's just because your brains aren't thinking of the answer.
Okay, all right.
Okay, I'll do another one.
I'll do another one.
Have you heard about the Italian chef that died?
Yes.
Poster.
Okay, see?
Lunchbox is on to something?
Yeah, but I'm...
Okay, I'll just do another one.
Okay, I'm cool with that.
Okay, what's the answer to that one?
He passed away.
Oh.
It's funny, but not really a figure it out one.
Okay.
Because the answer would be no, I didn't hear about it.
It's hard for me to know for sure which ones are going to be ones that y'all are...
Question ones.
Just any sort of question and answer.
Okay.
What do you call a priest who becomes a lawyer?
Now we have a question here.
All right, let's do.
What do you call a...
I'm trying to jeopardize our streak.
Oh, is that what just true?
Amy.
Y'all would have figured it out if you tried.
Okay, what do you call a priest that's a lawyer?
It's trying to become a lawyer, correct?
Father.
Who becomes a lawyer?
Who becomes a lawyer?
Law.
Law.
What are things that the priests...
Attorney?
Yes.
Amen.
What are things that priests?
Father, son, the Holy Spirit.
plus you.
Confession. Confession.
It's got to be something like confession.
Okay, okay, okay.
There's got to be something with confession.
Okay. Confession.
Maybe it's not.
These are my confession.
Because a lawyer is a confession.
A priest's confession.
A priest who becomes a lawyer.
Right. Like he's already good at confession.
Yeah, say it again, Amy, just the way you said the joke.
What do you call a priest who becomes a lawyer?
Confessionist?
You call him a man of the blank.
Cloth. Man of the cloth. Man of the loft.
Oh my gosh. A man.
Priest. Father. Father. Bishop.
Father.
Boys, I don't.
Father law. She threw us off with a bad one.
I don't think we're out here.
And now it's right. And now here we are struggling on the second one.
And she's happy about it.
She was clapping. No, I didn't know the first one would be bad.
She basically read us a question in French and it was like, can you name the joke?
Father. Oh boy.
That's a lawyer.
Father lawyer. First communion.
Father.
We've already given up and we're just saying words now.
Father-law!
Father-in-law!
Father-in-law!
That's what it is!
That's it!
But that's not a priest!
Okay, hold on, so what's the question?
What do you call a priest who becomes...
That's gotta be it, right?
It's so crazy to just saying words that just came out.
Oh my goodness.
Watchmogs!
People are just yelling words.
Okay, we're gonna go with a father-in-law.
Is that right?
Okay, and go Amy with the question.
What do you call a priest who becomes a lawyer?
What do you call a priest that becomes a lawyer?
A father-in-law.
That's pretty crazy because we're all just sitting around and yelling words.
And we almost gave up.
Y'all almost gave up.
And then lunchbox came in the clutch.
And sorry about the first one.
I, listen.
I don't know.
You guys ready?
Ready, Eddie.
Clear eyes.
Full hearts.
Can't lose.
Six in a row.
Here's the thing, guys.
We have to put a timer on us for now on.
Because that was a little while.
Because we just went forever and there was a whole controversy with the first bad quote.
They tried to throw us off our game.
But this was like a good game.
We looked like we were losing and then lunchbox came in with a with a Hail Mary pass caught in the end zone for a touchdown.
There you go.
We hit it again, folks.
Wow.
We might go pro in this.
Yeah.
We might be the only team in the league.
But we might go pro with it.
I'm getting a lot of text about that last segment.
Some people are saying that Amy figured out the way to change the rules and beat us.
Some people say that I got whiny and made her change.
a joke. A lot of controversy with that last morning corny.
But regardless, we still get the win?
Yeah. Why not?
That's all it matters.
We're not playing for a scholarship.
Who cares?
Some people get mad to step on this show and you've got to realize, guys, we're just
hanging out, having fun. Even on this show, sometimes you guys get too mad at games.
And I go, guys, you're not trying to win money for family.
Lunchbox.
Sometimes they may too. Like, for example.
What?
What?
Is that what your son got it?
What?
Oh my gosh, Amy.
That's where he got it from.
That's Amy's son.
But?
And that's Amy.
What?
Yeah.
Butts?
There was controversy in last week's Amy versus Lunchbox because the question, it was
the championship round.
The question was April's birth flower.
And lunchbox said Lily.
And the answer, April's birth flower is not Lily.
It's Daisy.
It's Daisy.
And he got credit for it.
Yeah.
Which would have shifted the whole game.
And I'm not going to give the game back.
It's not going to be a.
toss up. He still wins even though that was not act.
When the game, whatever happens in the game, Amy, see what I'm saying?
Okay. If this had been, listen, I mean, no, I'm being chill about it. I haven't even brought it up on
the air. Like, I... He would still, he would be angry, like literally angry. Yeah, he would be
so angry. That being said, we were going to just stop playing the game, but it does bring back
one more season of Amy versus Lunchbox on Monday. Listen, there was no doubt who won the game.
I mean, Amy got a question and her questions that she had already had before and
So, I mean.
You won the game on a question that wasn't right.
Had it been over.
Why didn't even get it right?
Exactly.
Yeah.
Anyway, see, this is what I'm saying.
It had been him, it had been an off-air problem.
Right.
But, uh, asterisk next to that championship, some say?
Yes, asterisk.
He doesn't say that, but I do.
Over to Cassidy and Virginia.
Hey, Cassidy.
How are you?
Oh my gosh.
Hey, Bobby.
What's happening?
Oh, nothing.
Um, I was just.
We're headed to work, and I just got my two boys off at school.
And, you know, every morning we listen to you guys.
My oldest son, he follows you and Amy both on Instagram.
And I just want to say thank you, you know, so for being to both of y'all, I mean, everybody on the show for being just such, you know, positive road models.
And, you know, just, you know, it's so nice for the kids.
Every morning it's kind of something we just talk about.
Okay, let's listen to the Bobby Bowes.
And then, you know, every night we were watching you on dancing with the stars.
Now we're watching you on American Idol.
And the kids, my kids just really look up to you.
and they think a lot about you.
Well, thanks a lot.
I appreciate that.
Tell them I say hello,
and thanks for taking time
to call the radio show this morning.
Absolutely.
Thank you so much.
I was getting a lot of feedback
about my spray tan
when I hosted the other night.
Oh, yeah.
Definitely.
You know what?
I don't care.
I rocked that spray tan at heart.
I was not going to go on and be pale.
Do you ever see how Dark Luke is?
That's my goal.
When I walked in because I had to get a spray tan,
I was like, I'll take the Luke Bryan special, please.
His isn't a spray tan, though.
No, it was natural.
Yeah, he's just out on the harm.
me. I was like, I don't want to go up there
and be, I was, since I hosted the show,
I was like, under the lights big time.
And yeah, I was a little dark, but you know what?
I own that. You did. I thought you did great.
I went into the spray tan and I was like, hit me.
They were like, again, I was like, give me the Ross Geller now.
You know when he goes in and it gets like 90s?
Yes.
You guys are going to hate on me all you want.
I own that. I am me.
All right.
Joe Diffy on tomorrow.
Nineties Country Month, Joe Diffy in.
I met all my wives.
The traffic jammed.
Just sun off and we ain't back about a pick-up rain.
Like tomorrow at this time.
That being said, I watched the show.
It made me cry.
Let's go around the room.
What do you think it is?
Amy, I watched one show, one episode of this show, and I've cried.
What is your guess?
Parenthood.
Quality guess.
Lunchbox.
Oh, I got Friday night lights.
All right, and you had another one?
Well, parenthood was my other one.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, because we talk about it a lot.
Let's go over to our video producer Eddie or something.
What are you editing right now, by the way?
I'm editing Morgan number two.
Skinny. Oh, good. Good for you. Yeah. Hey, so
have you seen This Is Us?
Yeah. That's it. This is Us.
That's my guess. Haven't you?
I'm not answering any question. Yeah, he used to watch.
Yeah, I thought that you're... You did? Yeah. He can't
just have watched that for the first time.
Morgan number two, just watch it for the first time. Would like to take a guess?
I think it's a million little things.
I don't know what that is. What's that? It's on ABC.
It's this is us of ABC.
Oh. I thought that... Okay. It's better, though.
Is it? What? Yeah. Really?
Oh, easy.
Our game writer and gatherer of stories, Mike D, do you have any guesses?
I think I already know what it is.
Oh, you do know?
Did you watch this show?
Have you ever seen it?
I've never seen it.
Wait, is it because you guys share accounts and it pulled up recently?
Who's watching Mike D or Bobby B?
That's funny.
I sent Mike a note.
I was like, hey, make sure to put this down on the list of things I talk about.
Yeah, Mike D is not the person I share anything with that I'm doing.
So I figure you guys have a joint Netflix account.
We would.
I'd let him use mine.
Oh, my goodness.
Mike D's my bit, my buddy, wherever I go, he's going to go, my buddy.
So, where any of us right?
No, none of you are right.
None of you are right.
Except there you go.
Oh, did you watch Real World?
No.
I watched Queer Eye.
Oh, so good.
Yeah, that'll make you cry.
Wait, it makes you cry?
Yes.
Eddie, I want the new season on Netflix.
No, no, not even new.
I watch episode one of season one, and it's called You Can't Fix Ugly.
And it's a guy who lives in Dallas, Georgia.
Reminds me everybody I grew up with.
And he's, like, in his mid-50s.
And he has lupus and the fat five go in.
And I thought, okay, this is going to be, like, the old queer eye where it's just like, oh, it's so fun and, like, kind of goofy.
It's, like, it like rips your heart out.
Really?
Never seen an episode of the new season.
And I watched episode one, and I was like, at the end of it.
Wow.
Yeah, it's good.
I wouldn't expect that from that show.
I know.
I wouldn't either.
That's crazy.
It'll get you.
Have you ever seen it and cried?
Yes, I've cried.
Season one and season two, and then I haven't started season three, but my friend told me that it's so good.
I always rolled my eyes when people would be like, this.
I don't know anything about it.
See what the rating is for queer eye.
Well, it's kind of, I don't, the old version was kind of funny.
This one's kind of like, they go in and really work with people like on their insecurities.
On inside out, yeah.
Yeah.
And who are the fab five?
It's like a team of, I don't know.
There's five gay guys who go in.
They just go in and fix something.
They each have a specialty.
So, like, one person's, like, hair, clothes, cooking, like eating healthier, decor.
Rotten Tomatoes gives it 91%.
Anyway, I never thought I would like that show.
I'd be like, oh, for that.
It's awesome.
Wow.
Cryed like a boo-boo.
At the end of it, I was like, yeah.
So, anyway, there you go.

There's an economic component to communities thriving.
If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail.
And what I mean by fail is they don't have money to pay for food.
They cannot feed their kids.
They do not have homes.
Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them.

During the break, Amy popped a Zit on my nose, hard.
Extracted a blackhead.
You can see it on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
There's like a crater on my face now.
But the whole thing's up there on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
On the Instagram story, so click the story, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Okay, okay, okay.
What do you want to do?
You'll talk about the spa or now?
Yeah.
So yesterday I had the afternoon off, which is rare for me
because I leave and go back to do American Idol for like four days.
I was like, I want to go do something.
I'm going to go to the spa.
I'm going to try to relax.
And I go in and they're like,
okay, first we're going to give you your massage.
And they,
you lay on the table.
And I get massages,
but mostly it's for injuries.
And all they do is rub their hands over you base.
It's like,
it's like,
it's more like a Swedish.
I don't need to be touched
just for the sake of being.
Yeah, so they're like just,
and I'm like, more pressure.
And they did,
it just really wasn't a thing.
And the whole,
time I'm thinking about it. I'm going, it's driving me crazy. They're just rubbing their hands on me.
So, okay, fine, whatever. I get out of that. I go, and I go to this, to get a facial, which I didn't
even know it's part of the package that I bought, but let me go try it out. And I'll lay there.
And the whole time that I'm laying there, I'm thinking about, did I get enough cash tip to ballet?
Did I leave my locker open? What am I going to do? My brain is spinning a hundred miles an hour
when I'm supposed to be relaxing that I can't relax. All I'm thinking of, and then they take a paint
brush out, I don't know what they're painting on my face.
They take like a big brush out and they start painting my face with something.
Like I don't know if it's a mask.
Probably a mask, yeah.
It's dark.
And then I left, my face was so dry afterward.
There's like a heat steamer they put on you the whole time.
Yeah.
So your face shouldn't be dry when you leave.
They put a steamer on your face and the whole time I can't even breathe.
I'm like, ugh.
It's like breathing in steam the whole time.
Yeah.
Is that normal?
Yeah, that's normal.
I didn't like it.
And then I feel like my face is going to break.
out because they put all the stuff on my face for the first time.
Yeah, it could be, well, yeah, and it could pull out some, if they're doing any, putting
anything, like if that mask is like on there and it pulls out.
How do you're not going to relax in these situations?
I don't know.
I don't know, I guess you're just not made for the spa.
I don't know how to, I don't know what, I'm trying to find my relaxation.
That's what, that was, what I was thinking.
I don't, I don't have it.
You have to find something.
Whatever it is, I do not have it.
Is being tortured your way of relaxing, maybe?
You go the opposite.
I don't like that.
though either. I got to find something where I can just like relax. Because I'm all, I couldn't,
the whole time I'm just thinking about 10 things at once. Yeah, you definitely need to find something.
If that can't do it, I don't know what will. A massage and a facial.
It wasn't a massage. It was just people rubbing their hands and put palms on me. They should have called it a
palming. I got a palming. It's a spa. Did she talk or not talk?
A little bit, but she always talked real creepily. Like what?
Hey, how does that feel? Like in my ear?
Like, you just talk, he'd just be like, hey, how's that feel?
But I'm sure she was just doing, I'm sure she was doing her job.
And the music's terrible.
This is how, I'm going to tell how to run a spa, everybody.
Ready?
Ask the person, like, what IHart radio station or, like, what kind of playlist they would like.
Because I would go in and I would go, you know what, I would pick the John Mayer channel.
Yeah.
Or I would pick the Old Dominion channel.
Totally.
And then it would be songs that sounded like that.
You actually should be in charge of a spa because that's not a bad idea.
Of course it's not a bad idea.
And then maybe you could get lost in the music because you like it.
Yes.
And then you could relax.
Because all the music, it's like waterfalls.
And I got to thinking about pee the whole time.
Because it's like some dripping.
I was like dripping in there.
There's a music and just going, well, I didn't have to pee.
But now they play this, I kind of have to pee.
And I wonder if I left my locker open.
I don't even have any cash tip to ballet guy.
What can I have for lunch?
Well, I've been kind of chubby lately.
And now I'm not even enjoying this.
And I could be working right now, which is much more enjoyable.
And then I hear, has the pressure into my ear.
Just ask it like a human
I picture like the hobbit dude
Yeah
Giving you a face shake
He's walking around
Like that precious
Yeah
Or like hunchback of Notre Dame
Would you like more pressure
I'm gonna paint this on your face
It wasn't for me
Maybe for you guys
And then that heat thing
That the steamer
That's supposedly steaming your face
It just can't breathe during it
Oh wow
So when I'd breathe in my nose
All I'd breathe in the steam
Who wants that?
I do.
Mainly because I know what it's doing
and it's good for my skin.
Sometimes at home I'll boil water
and put a towel over my face
and just do it at home version of that.
I hate my back.
Why?
Because I have moles
and I've had them all cut off
but there's still all these mole spots
and then I have pimples
and I don't have a hairy back
but there are like little spots where they're
just my back is the grossest part of my body.
And I'm like, I bet she's judging me
she's probably going to tell her friends
and not even that I'm the guy from radio
just that weird bat guy came in.
Oh, boy.
Yeah.
Oh, no.
I don't even think about it like that.
Like, oh, I bet you.
So then you're like self-conscious and you're like, uh.
One time, this is when I was getting physical therapy by my shoulder.
I told you, she, no, I was getting the dry needling stuff done.
She was like, I believe you have a growth or something on your, and I was like, that's a pimple.
I don't remember the time.
My back is, I'm just gross.
I'm just gross.
You're not gross.
I'm gross.
I'm gross.
You're not.
That was the whole experience for me.
I sat down and I was like...
So you're probably not going to do the spa again.
No.
Why would I go?
Dang it.
I was really hoping you would enjoy it and we could go have spa day.
Like a work thing.
Then they like do your toe.
They like rub my feet.
Yeah.
You can say no feet.
I have to sometimes if I'm feeling ticklish.
Here are the things that I like.
Get my feet rubbed and my hands rubbed.
I like that.
But they only did it for like four seconds.
Oh.
Like I would go in about like an hour of a foot rub.
Can you do that?
You should go to those little reflexes.
Sexology spas.
They're in like strip malls.
No, I'm not going.
No.
Yes, because you can just walk in and it's cheap and they'll just rub your feet.
They take pictures of and put them on the internet.
I don't know.
Maybe.
Listen, one time I went to a spray tan place, I swear they were taking a bit.
It was, I walk in and we were in California.
Mike were in California, we were shooting dance or American Idol.
And I walk in, I was like, I got to get a spray tan because those lights get on you so much that you did wash you out.
And I got to go get a spray tan.
And I go to a place and there's just a person sitting at.
like an old school desk from like 1993.
And they're like, oh, you're here for a spray tan?
And I'm like, what else would I be here for?
And there's like a gaming machine over to the way.
I'm like, what do you want?
I was like, well, this is interesting.
And I was like, how much?
And they were like, how much cash do you have?
Wow.
And I'm like, huh.
I was like, well, I have a $20 bill.
They're like, that'd be perfect.
Your room's back in the back.
And I walked back.
My room backed in the back was the only room in the back.
And I walk in the room and it's like, you know,
you walk into one of those big closets and there's a big water.
tank.
Yeah.
That's what the kind of room it felt like.
And so I get in it and it's one of those where you turn around and I'm certain they
had a camera up.
I'm certain if you search like Southern California spray tan dingling that I pop up.
Because I know that there something was watching me.
I don't know if it was a camera or a person, but I kind of had to forego and it was just
like, well they are, they are because I got to go be on camera in a bit.
And I did it Pam and I walked out and they were like, all right, see you next time.
And I was like, not if I can handle it.
Not about anything to say.
Anyway, spa day was not good for me.
Oh, well, that's too bad.
Yeah, it was too bad.
And now our mission is to try to find you to something to relax.
I know, because.
Chilal out.
Like, when's vacation, June, July?
July.
July?
July.
Not till July.
I know.
It's a long ways away.
I don't even like vacation.
I don't do vacation.
We can do one next week if you want.
I'm running.
I'm running.
Yeah, but you've got to.
You have to hit pause.
Every week, I go back and forth to California.
And please watch American Idol, by the way.
I needed to get rid of it.
nude.
You need to come back next year too.
Bobby need to buy new shoes.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.

Sandy and Maryland, what's happening?
Everything's good.
How are you?
I'd say the same thing.
Everything's pretty good.
Living live live,
I'm in a studio with all my friends.
What can I help you with?
Well, I thought I could help you.
I can't do the spa either because I get crazy.
My mind starts going to lower.
Acupuncture.
I swear by it, you'll feel like you're all bad at night.
You know what?
I've done acupuncture.
Let me say this about my pain tolerance.
If zero is a baby and tin is a lumberjack,
I'm somewhere around the poopy diaper.
Okay.
I have no pain tolerance.
and they do that
they take it
and they go
into you
and they would do
like my feet
it was like
fire
it was okay
I tried it
I've been injured
so many times
mild injuries
that I've tried
acupuncture
wasn't my thing
but I like that
it works for you
some people
swear by it
but for anxiety
did they do it
no
you know
I was reading
a story about
anxiety
where they said
that anxiety
is actually
great for people
that want to get
ahead in their
careers. Okay, why? It says anxiety makes you better at your job. Researchers found that workers
focus better stay motivated if they're anxious. I'm so anxious, and I'm getting weird anxiety about
things that aren't job related, but I'm OCD and anxious. That's a big key to why I'm always on
is because I'm always like, oh, I got to, what's next? So I agree with this, but it's not healthy.
Well, you have an extra, like anxiety comes in different heightened forms.
I feel like yours is higher than some others.
What do you mean?
I feel like you, well, people have more severe anxiety than others.
Like some people can experience anxiety and I feel like you have it more regularly.
I think I live a general state of anxiety.
Yeah.
Like I think I'm just anxious all the time.
I was talking to Amy about something this morning, having a private conversation.
And I was like, you know, so it will happen.
and that was good for me.
And she was, you know, we had to talk.
And it's the whole thing.
But the premise of the conversation was that I'm always anxious.
And for a minute I wasn't and it felt good.
And she was like, oh, you know what you need?
It was a whole thing.
I can't talk about it here.
Okay.
It's private conversation.
I can kind of tell you're like not really wanting to talk about it because you're like,
so, and then we had this whole talk and then.
I know.
I know.
I know.
I mean, too.
I know.
You can't tell the rest of the story really.
Can you?
Maybe I can tell it later.
It's up to you.
Listen, I talk about me all day long.
Meaning, I'll talk about my thing.
But it's up to you.
Yeah, we'll talk about it later.
Okay.
In more hour appropriate time?
Oh.
Okay.
All right.
We coming back tonight and talking about this?
Yeah, that's being interesting.
I'll meet you guys all up here at 11.
11 p.m. for a Bobby Bone Show after dark.
What?
Wow.
We'll do that in Quiet Storm.
Play all this.
I used to listen to that Quiet Storm
when I was a kid, they'd be like, all right,
and it'd be all Keith Sweat songs.
Quiet Storm.
You never have a Quiet Storm?
No, no, never.
It's hilarious.
Well, I don't have time to do it right now
because we've got to get to tell me something good.
But Quiet Storm would be like all like soul R&B songs.
I loved it too because I love, you know, all kinds of music.
But let's see if I can get a little bit on here.
They'd be like this.
They'd be like,
I want a team.
Welcome to Quiet Storm,
where we play all the songs to make you feel good all.
night long.
It's me.
Bobby Bones,
and I'm here to take you to
Zizzizz, zez, z, z, z.
It's awesome, man.
Sounds cool.
It's awesome. It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Back in 2014,
Heather Kruger had stage
four liver disease. She needed a living
donor or she was going to die.
And this guy, Chris Dempsey,
total stranger, found out about her
story, got tested, said, here, you can have half my liver. And then they met after the surgery,
they fell in love. Wow. And they got married. Are you kidding me? And at their wedding,
they had the nurses, the doctors, and everybody was there to celebrate them. So they share a liver,
and now they share a life. Wow. And they share a last name. That's amazing. Yeah, that's so cool.
Yeah. And they share a bed. And they share food in their refrigerator. There's a lot of things. Yeah. I'm like,
it's your car. That's really cool.
I mean, how crazy is that?
That's great. That's what it's all about right there.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
Folks, it's your buddy and my...
Mr. Bobby Bones.
I was reading this story about prison and how in jail right now,
the situation from Jersey Shore is in,
and also the Fire Fest guy.
Yeah, Billy McFarlane.
He's in.
They're the same one.
And they're like best buddies.
And then the guy who leaked the Jennifer Lawrence nudes is in jail.
They all play Scrabble together every day.
Oh, wow.
Did you read the situation actually is like doing okay in prison?
Yeah.
And he's got his life together, so I expected him to be okay in prison because I don't think he's in a hardcore prison.
I think they're in a kind of cushy prison.
Play Scrabble.
Really?
I mean, it's like Martha Stewart, I feel like.
I don't think it's that nice.
No.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah.
But.
What?
Yeah.
I don't think he's in, you know, hardcore, you know, go to Taiwan.
Yeah.
But I also don't think it's one of those super swanks either.
But anyway, I read they're all hanging out together all the time.
They play Scrabble together.
Tell Mike, this is Jenny McCarthy saying this in this interview.
Tell Mike he's got to get as much information on the fire festival as possible.
Remember that documentary?
That was crazy.
So anyway, I saw that.
Hulu and Netflix both to release those Fire Fest documentaries.
If you haven't seen them, I recommend them.
Yeah, both.
Let me go over and talk to Steph in Austin.
Hey, Steph.
Hey, Steph.
How are you doing? You good?
I'm good. I'm good.
Well, I appreciate your calling. Is there anything I can do for you?
No, I mean, I'm just feeling to love.
I've been a listener since you guys have started in Austin, and you're putting out the appreciation tweet last night, and I was just calling to say, I just, you know, you guys are a part of every day for a lot of us, and I just wanted to share a love and appreciate you guys and say hello.
I'm driving, I'm on a long drive this morning, sorry, but I've got a little time, let me go and say hi to the show.
Well, we appreciate that, and we know that we would not be able to do the show without you.
Like, we sincerely know that, and that's why, you know, you can be anywhere in the world, but we're glad you're here.
And so you have a lot of options, so thank you for choosing us.
Well, I appreciate it, and I just wanted to say, shout out, there's a baby that was just born, and she named her joy, one of the bee-teamers, Erica, because of the show.
Really?
And the whole Pimp and Joy movement.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
Like we're that group that travels to Nashville, you know, every couple of twice a year.
And the friends that we've made with this group, it's such a little B-team family that we've got going on.
It is crazy what the B-Team does.
And the B-teamers are the people that listen to the show and take part in a lot of our philanthropy and events.
On my birthday, unbeknownst to me, they raise like $16,700 for an animal shelter that I'm really involved in.
They didn't say what, they just did it and gathered amongst themselves.
And I was like, that's crazy.
Super thoughtful.
So, yeah, thank.
Hey, thank you.
I appreciate you.
Hope you have a good day and hope your trip to work is safe.
So appreciate that.
Over to Morgan number two, who does our digital?
She's 25, and this is her segment.
This isn't a drill.
A grease prequel is happening.
Paramount Pictures is producing it, and it's titled Summer Loving.
Oh, really?
Now, I really like Greece.
Who saw Greece?
I've seen Greece recently.
Really?
Like within the last two years.
Awesome.
It's old.
You ever see it Morgan, number two?
Oh, yeah.
I watched it all the time when I was a kid.
It's really going to do a prequel.
Do you know what it's going to be about?
It's based on the song Summer Nights from the original movie,
so it's going to expand on the summer romance between Danny and Sandy.
There's no cast or anything attached yet, but that's the plot.
That's cool.
Fun fact about Bobby.
Played Danny.
Was his last name, Zuko?
Danny Zuko.
Danny Zucco, Bobby was Danny, and I love when he like...
Oh, don't do that.
He's Danny.
You have to.
It's only appropriate.
Let me say this.
I was Danny Zucco in high school, in the play, and, you know, John Travolta played him back in the day in Greece.
I'm not ready for...
Stranded at the driving, branded.
A fool.
What will they say?
Monday at school.
All right, I'm done.
That's all.
Come, there's more.
I don't even know if I remember the words.
No, there's more.
It's been so long if I say.
Okay, fine.
Sandy, can't you see?
I'm in misery.
We made a start.
Now we're apart.
There's nothing left for me.
I'm done.
Okay.
Love has flown.
All alone.
I sit, I wonder why, I, oh, why.
You left me.
Oh, Sandy.
And then, you know, I'd probably, oh, Sandy.
I'm done.
Thank you very much.
You didn't have lyrics in front of you.
I didn't need it.
I know all those songs.
No, he did have the lyrics.
I never pulled him up.
No, you did not.
I looked.
I know.
I know.
Wow.
There you go.
Then there's a whole speaking thing.
Sandy, my darling.
Ain't no sunshine
I don't know if that's wrong clip
Sandy Madeline you didn't be wrong
I know it's true
Yeah thank you
Well Morgan number two
How about that?
That was awesome
I think you should be
Danny Zuko in this prequel
that's happening
You know I'm just never quite ready
Stranded at the drive-in
Branded
It's not really my key
What will they say
Monday it's school
Matt probably get pretty good
at that I practice
Yeah
Thank you Morgan number two
Yeah
That's what 25 year olds
care about.
There's a good podcast called the Velvet's Edge podcast with Kelly Henderson, and Dirk's
Bentley's on the podcast.
There's a two-parter.
And the one that just went up, you know, Dirk's used to have a long curly hair.
I really like curly Dirk's.
One of my favorite versions of Dirk's.
And she kind of asked some about that.
I don't have that same level of density anymore, so I don't think the curls would look.
My hair's pretty good, but I look at guys like Thomas Redd.
I'm like, I was laughing.
I see him.
I was telling him.
I'm like, dude, your hair's like zoisia, like a golf course.
Like, you could put a golf ball on the top of TR's, like, head, and it wouldn't even, it wouldn't even move.
It just stay up there.
He's so much hair.
His hair is so thick.
So it's called the Velvet's Edge podcast.
It's good, especially if you like fashion and, you know, lifestyle stuff for women.
But Dirk's Bentley stopped by.
And here he's talking about his most embarrassing moment on stage.
And I was, like, running one time.
I wasn't expecting the gap.
And so my knee wasn't ready for it.
And I kind of lost my balance.
And I try to do, like, a roll and just keep moving.
And I just, like, fell flat in my face.
And it's like, I have an hour and a half to go.
This is the top of the show.
All the mystique is gone.
Just flattened on my face.
And it's like, okay, we'll be here for an hour and a half.
I search of that.
The Velvet's Edge podcast with Kelly Henderson.
Hey, let's go over to Tammy in Pennsylvania.
Tammy, what's happening with you?
Hey, Bobby.
I love your radio station.
And I love everything that you guys stand for and how real you are.
and you really killed it the other day
hosting American Idol
Oh, thanks a lot
Yeah, that was kind of weird
It's wild for me to kind of watch back
I was, I had to watch it on delay
Because I was in Los Angeles
And it wasn't a live show
It was something we had taped a few weeks ago
And Ryan C Gross was sick
And they said, were you host?
I had no rehearsal time
And I was kind of worried
But I think it did pretty good
I'd say pretty good
I would say when I watch me
I didn't see Amy, you're getting disgusted at me
For saying that
No, because I, okay,
Yeah, you're going to be your worst critic, but I thought you did great.
And everybody watching, like, I was watching comments online and then our friends, like, everyone's like, wow.
Yeah, it's a big deal for me.
Yeah, you did so good.
I mean, I'm American Idol was an institution for us growing up, so to be able to host that show.
And I think it's really good this season, too.
So, yeah, and I hope people watch it.
I'm still on it as a mentor, but I appreciate that call.
Have you heard anything from Ryan since you hosted?
Because you got the shoes that he sent you saying.
That was pre-show.
pre-show, thank you for filling my shoes
and he sent you Nike's, which was super cool.
But what about after?
He did email me yesterday.
He did?
What did he say?
What did he say?
Would he say pretty good?
I'll read it to see if you want.
Or if I'm ever sick again?
Listen, Ryan Seagraught's always been so nice to me.
So I have nothing but just wonderful things to say about the guy.
And for no other reason that he's been super cool.
Otherwise, I would just say nothing.
I would just be like, yeah, I know him.
But no, he's been so great.
He said, hey, bro, thanks again for the other nut and idol.
You were great.
See you real soon.
just a nice little note.
He didn't have to do that.
Yeah.
So I replied back and I was like, who's this?
New phone who is?
That'd be funny.
How'd you get me email?
He gave you this.
Yeah, so he reached that.
It was good.
He's good.
What about any, like, I don't know who all is in communication about that.
Like, you heard from Ryan, but do you hear anything from, like, Lionel?
No.
I'll see, I'll literally see them tomorrow.
Okay.
And again.
Like any executives?
Yeah, of course.
They sent me flowers.
Oh, really?
To the hotel.
Yeah, they were like, hey.
I just think it was, Ryan's never missed an episode in 17 seasons.
I know.
That's why I was like, oh, man, if Ryan ever gets sick again, like Bobby does this right,
like he could be the official fill in that I was like, well.
No, he doesn't get sick.
It's like this show.
No one's ever filled in.
Right.
So, no, no.
But they sent flowers.
They sent me a nice note.
It was just good.
It was good.
There was no rehearsal.
We got through it.
If they ever needed it again.
any form.
You're ready.
I'm ready for not that or anything else.
And listen, Luke Bryan gets a Charlie horse.
You name me?
Here I am.
That's true.
It shows me spent a lot of fun.
And there's some really good contestants.
I appreciate that call, Tammy.
Thank you very much.
Sure.
Thank you.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
There you go.
And there she goes.
Hey, is it Sierra?
In Chicago?
Sierra, Sierra.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi.
Hi, Bobby.
Good.
How are you?
Good.
Thanks for calling.
What do you want to say?
I just want to call because we are a military family.
My husband is in the Navy, and we have moved a lot.
And we just listen to your show in every city that we live in.
And you're just like a small bit of consistency in my kids' lives.
They love listening to you every morning.
And I just want to say, we appreciate you, Amy, Eddie Lunchbox.
You're just so fun to listen to you.
And I just dropped my daughter off at school,
but she wanted me to tell you that she loved your most of love songs.
She loves what?
The emoji love.
Oh, yeah.
Your emoji love.
Thank you very much.
Appreciate that.
And yeah, tell her we say hello and thank your husband for serving and thank you for being with him because without your support, he would not be able to do what he does.
So there's a lot of appreciation coming back to you, okay?
Thank you.
All right.
Have a good day.
Thanks for listening in Chicago.
Tell other people in Chicago.
Trying to people listen to Chicago.
We're still super new there.
So I watched this documentary called Free Solo.
Right?
I know what it's called?
Yeah.
Just randomly.
I had a couple friends over,
and they wanted to watch Frozen,
and I was like,
we're not watching Frozen.
I was like, let's just find something.
We're flipping through.
And I was like,
free solo.
It's got, our only rule was it's got to be
over 80% of Rotten Tomatoes.
And then I saw it won the Oscar,
and I was like, let's watch this.
Didn't know it was a documentary quite yet,
then it hit it.
And it's about this guy
who basically wants to climb this mountain,
this wall, rock wall,
and he wants to climb it
without ropes.
And a few people have done it with ropes.
Not many, but a few.
because it's that hard,
but he wants to do it without ropes
because no one's ever done it.
He's just climbing with his feet and his hands.
And so you're watching this whole thing
and I watched it and I came on the show
and I was raving about it.
And then Lunchbox watched it and you said it.
Oh, so good.
I gave it five out of five boulders.
I gave it five out of five climbing shoes.
And so Amy, you watched it.
Yes, my husband and I watched it.
And we were on edge.
Yes.
What platform did you watch it on?
Hulu.
Okay.
And, okay, yeah, it is everything.
y'all said. We give it five out of five cliffs.
Oh, wow.
Like, it's good. It's intense. You feel all the things.
Like, you're, I mean, my husband, I think, got a little bit more, like,
uncomfortable than I did. Like, he was really on edge. She's like, oh, like, some moments
he's like, I just can't even, I can't even watch, like, what's happening. But there's just,
yeah, it's very interesting. He's a different kind of human.
Well, that being said, many of people have compared him to me. Oh, yes.
Oh, did you see the similar to say? I, I think, yes. I was like, that dude's a
A lot like Bobby.
He's really weird.
He's just...
Well, different.
Thank you, Amy.
Motivated, determined.
Well, Mike D watched it too.
Yeah.
Mike D. are a game writer
and he finds a bunch of stories
that we talk about.
What did you think about it?
I thought it was really good.
Had me on the end of the seat,
but he did remind me a lot of you.
Really?
Yeah.
Wait, what rating system do you give it?
I give a five out of five boulders.
You can think if I'm funny or where he gave it boulders.
I don't know.
Boo.
Like, like, hand chalk.
Ropes.
Five out of five climbing buddies
Roops
Okay, so you do give it a five out of five
And what's on your piece of paper over there?
Oh, well, whenever he was writing down his steps
After he climbed to like
Oh, this is what you remind you of me
Yeah, oh yeah
When he was writing everything down
It reminded me when you did Dancing with the Stars
And you would write down every single step
So you would remember it
He wrote down like hand goes here
In this place, turn it when I would do dance with stars
I'd be like left foot goes here
Turn it
Wow, I had not thought of that
And I was the only one they'd ever seen
Do that on the show
And I thought like I was crazy
I was like, oh, they think I'm the nuttiest person ever.
But I wrote on every movement.
That's how I remembered it, though.
Good observation, Mike D.
And there was a quote, he said that sounds like something maybe you would say.
He said, anyone can be happy and cozy.
Nothing good happens in the world by being happy and cozy.
I do feel that way.
Like, being comfortable is the enemy of progress, man.
Because you get comfortable and you don't, you're like, I'm good.
Like, what do I need to keep working on things?
Why don't need to get better?
I'm already feeling wonderful.
Like, comfortable is the worst thing you can be if you're trying to make a difference
and trying to get...
But yes, I felt like that guy and I were both odd
in different ways.
Yeah, totally now I'm seeing it.
Good pickup from Lunchbox, M.I.D.
But, like, his stuff, too, is like life or death.
Yeah, his thing...
He's climbing rocks and could die any moment.
And then they would flash to people that, like,
climbers that, you know, had climbed for a long time,
but then, boom, they're dead.
I recommend it.
We're not going to tell you how it ends.
Yeah.
But it's called Free Solo.
You can watch it on Hulu.
I think I'll watch it on...
Google, Google Play.
You know what I watch, watch it on Amazon.
Okay, so it's all over the place.
And you know what he also reminded me of when he talks to the female?
He's like, listen, you know, you're great, but this comes before you.
And that's how I feel like you talk to her.
Oh, yeah, yeah.
Oh, my gosh.
Why did I not pick up on all of this?
That was so obvious about that was exactly what Bobby is.
She's like, you know, what if I wanted you to stop climbing?
And he's just like, your opinion doesn't matter.
Basically.
Basically is what he would say to her.
He was really matter of fact about that.
Like she basically was like, am I, we're paraphrasing,
but she's like, am I not a reason for you to not go do this?
And he said, no.
No, no, you're not.
Basically, yep, no, you're not, nope.
But don't you at least respect that honesty.
Never mind.
Amy, you have a tendency to spoil movies.
That's why I love talking.
I'm not talking.
All right, thank you all.
It's called Free Solo.
It's about a guy who climbs.
And you would think what kind of garbage is this.
But then you watch it, it's amazing.
Yeah.
It won the Oscar, and I see why.
Eddie, you're in morning traffic.
I have to watch it.
Yeah.
Yeah, yeah.
California.
Hey, who's this?
Hey, Bob.
This is Nolan.
What's up, buddy?
What's going on?
Man, just talking to you.
Anything you want to say?
Yeah, dude.
So, I listen to the post show, pre-show.
I listen to the podcast every day because you guys aren't normally on while I'm going to work.
And so I listen to the podcast every day.
Really appreciate you.
Appreciate the post-show, pre-show, because I really really.
You don't see like you guys go deeper on segments there?
Yeah, we don't have any time.
There's no time in space.
We have to, like, not fill.
What happens is we load the show up after it's over,
this full show from when we start at 5 a.m. our time
until the show's over.
But then we just turn the mics on and keep going.
So that's the first part of the podcast.
If you search Bobby Bone Show on Demand,
on IHeart Radio, or wherever you listen to your podcast,
you can find it.
Most days, if I'm not running around
and have to leave for some meeting or a shoot,
we just sit and do post-show pre-show.
It's called post-show because after the show's over,
but pre-show because it's pre-podcast, it starts.
Make sense?
Yeah, and you like that, Nolan?
You like when we just keep going on that?
Oh, yeah, dude.
Thanks, man.
I appreciate that.
Hey, what do you think about the song?
What do you think about the song, Old Town Road?
You know that?
You know that song?
Oh, I am well familiar.
What you think about that?
Come on, be honest with me.
Love it or not love it?
No.
I absolutely love the song.
I definitely think Lil Nasek is about to drop an album
with like nine versions of that song.
He was tweeting about it yesterday.
today. I think it's going to happen.
And it's going to be like face boosted, a young stuff, remix.
It's going to be awesome.
There you go.
Wow.
I play it on the show and people love it.
And I like the Billy Ray Cyrus version.
Yeah, I'm going to take my horse through the old town road.
I'm going to.
I appreciate that.
I appreciate you guys.
See, bye.
I'm going to take my host through the old town road.
I'm going to ride.
I mean, it's just such the jam.
All of this here is country.
All of this.
All this here.
It's a little, yeah, it's just a banjo in Villary Cyrus.
Don't get me started.
And even the humming.
Yeah, I'm going to take my horse to the old town road.
I'm going to ride till I can't no more.
Like I just wonder who called who.
Did a little Nazex go give me the most country guy you can get, just line it up.
And they're like, some guy had just listened to Ake, Break You Heart for the first time.
I just heard this song.
Pretty country to me
Yeah
I love it
Everything about it
Best New Artist
Country next year
Low Naz X
Yeah
I'm gonna take my horse
To the old town road
Feet
Billy Bay Cyrus
FAT
Hopefully it's up for like
All the awards
For like a musical event
It's like two people
Oh yeah
A collab
Yeah
Good point
Yeah yeah yeah yeah
Anyway I'm into it
All the tickets
To the Avengers
Endgame
Already setting records
and it's beating that last Avengers 5 to 1, like outpacing it,
and that was the big one.
Wow.
People loving this new Avengers.
I'm excited to see it.
I obviously won't go to the first weekend because it won't be able to get in.
But Avengers Endgame has sold more tickets in its first week
than Star Wars, The Force Awakens, which was the previous record holder.
And again, it's beating the last one by 5 to 1,
and people are selling them for thousands of dollars.
Some of the times they're showing tickets are like at 4 a.m.
Because they're, you know, they have midnight showings,
but they'll also sell them at 4 a.m.
because people are going.
They have 7 a.m. showing.
Which seems even more ridiculous.
I feel like, yeah, they can just put it up at all hours and people will show up.
Yeah, so I saw that.
We're going to wrap this up here, though.
Amy, what's going on today?
Just do, I'll have a remote later, California closets.
Do you just go hang out in your closet and call,
Hey, everybody, Jamie, from my closet?
No, they're actually, like, showcasing their new showroom.
So there's, like, a ribbon cutting and everything.
So I'll be there hanging out.
hors d'oe. People can come by if they're in Nashville. And that's it, really, other than just the
usual working out, hanging out with the fan. Lunchbox? Oh, you know, today's a big day for me.
I'm hosting a charity event tonight, so I'll be up there being the MC trying to get things done,
just being awesome and not screw things up. Kid Power, it's their annual fundraiser where a bunch of
people come in their nice dressed-up suits and I just take them through the evening. Are you dressing
up in a nice dressed-up suit? Well, I guess it's not, some people wear suits. It's, it's
called the blue jeans and boots bash,
so I'll be wearing a blazer and some jeans.
And boots?
I don't have boots.
Yeah, I don't have boots.
I don't either.
Uh-oh.
I don't either.
Thank you all.
Don't forget tomorrow.
Joe Diffy will be in the Friday morning conversation.
So, old Joe, Joe, Joe.
Joe, Jimfee.
So that'd be good.
What are you doing today?
Flying, traveling, working.
On Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Thank you so much.
We'll see it tomorrow, though.
All right, bye, everybody.
