Starting point is 00:03:04 The story this morning said, The average person would pay $305 bucks for just one normal. normal pre-COVID day. I'm not paying 300 bucks. That's maybe 50 bucks. Otherwise, I'm just going to wait it out like everybody else. If you could, they asked people, how much would you pay? The average was $305.27. I was watching a show yesterday and there's people get on elevator and there are the people on an elevator. And I'm just like, they're not wearing masks. I didn't have to say that out loud, but it struck me that they were standing in an elevator and made me feel uncomfortable. And they were standing right next to each other talking with no mask on.
Starting point is 00:03:39 but I wouldn't pay $300. The show was the Queen's Gambit, which Caitlin was like, all my friends liked this show. Lunchbox, I mentioned he was watching it. Anyone else watch Queens Gambit in the studio? I started it, but I couldn't, I haven't had time to figure it out. It's about chess.
Starting point is 00:03:56 It's about a young girl at an orphanage who learns to play chess from the custodian. But we're only through two episodes, but it's good. Good? Yeah, I think we have a show now that we're going to watch together. because she'll watch the crown by herself. I'm watching Umbrel like Caddham, you about myself.
Starting point is 00:04:14 But that's the show we're watching together. So did y'all jump ship on Succession? We never got back in it. We watched one episode. So you're watching together. Your new show is about an orphan that plays chess. Amy, it is, don't, don't be a hater. I'm not a hater, but it's so good.
Starting point is 00:04:31 Okay, but so is Succession. I know, but you're saying don't hate on it, but you've got to give Queens Gambit a try before you hate it. I will. I just. So as a result of this show, chess sets are up over 1,000% because of Queens. Oh, wow. Are you going to start playing?
Starting point is 00:04:46 Well, I used to play a lot. Really? You're probably really good at it. I was ever only okay to pretty good, but I would play when I was like nine. Oh. And then once the internet happened, I would get on Yahoo Chess. Oh, no. You did.
Starting point is 00:04:59 And I would play all the time. And I had a pretty good ranking. Because in the higher ranking, you would get the darker color you would get on your little square. Anybody play Yahoo Chess? No. That's a big number. I never even heard of it. Well, I didn't have a life.
Starting point is 00:05:12 And so I played Yahoo. And I got to be okay. But then you started playing like age groups didn't matter. So, but it was tough. Me and my neighbor Scotty used to play, to dominate him. And he was a couple years older. The chess is fun.
Starting point is 00:05:23 You've played? Yeah, my kids play chess now. Yes, chess is fun. It's a strategy game. That's why I'm saying bones. I bet you'd be good at it because it's like 10 steps ahead. Yeah, I play checkers. Well, that's different.
Starting point is 00:05:35 I don't play either. Chess wasn't been a few hundred years before checkers. Yeah. Like just a few hundred? Yeah, I think so. Chinese checkers. You ever play that? Oh, the marbles?
Starting point is 00:05:43 Well, you have to get all your marbles to the other side of the star? That's a jam game, too. Anyway, that show's good. I'm not done, so I can't give a full review. Mike, did you like Umbrella Academy in second season? I thought it was a little slow, but it's pretty good. Okay. I feel the same way.
Starting point is 00:05:58 Yeah, about three episodes in, you're like figuring it out there. All right, glad you guys are here. Here's a voicemail we got last night. Here you go. Hey, guys. I was just curious. what was scuba steve's suggested segment when he won employee of the month you said that he was going to pick a segment the next week as his drive for when he's employee the month thank you it's a very timely question because later this morning i'm being told scuba steve will have his employee of the month's segment i don't know what it is
Starting point is 00:06:25 but he's going to do it i have no control it can be about anything it could be a walk down scuba stain scuba steve's history you know of elementary school oh well that'd be fun who knows what it is we'll do that later Also, I'm going to make a little offer to Eddie business offer. What you got? Well, coming up in the next few minutes. I love these. I would like to pay you money. Oh, I do.
Starting point is 00:06:47 I'll take it. Eddie, you going to sell me your soul or not? Still haven't gotten a good answer from a lawyer yet. I'm looking for the answer that says, hey, he literally can do nothing with your soul. It's just a word. And I haven't gotten that because everybody I've talked to because I put it out on Twitter and said, please, a lawyer out there help me. And I've gotten responses and they're like, I mean, really, it's not a big deal.
Starting point is 00:07:11 But really, he could like just, I mean, it's like selling yourself to the devil. Like bad things can happen. For $100, I want your soul. And I've made you that offer. All you have to do is write on a piece of paper. Bobby owns my soul and signs it. And I will give you $100 in cash. I know.
Starting point is 00:07:27 It sounds easy. It really does. Because a soul? Like, what's a soul? You're not going to take my soul. But then I'm really writing it down on a piece of paper and telling you that you can have my soul. Very scary. Are we closer to it?
Starting point is 00:07:39 Yeah, we're pretty close. This Toronto restaurant is offering up redemption for your sins with a side of pizza. Storm Crow Manor is celebrating the launch of their new patio and delivery concept. Church of Pizza with free pies, pizza pies, but there's a catch. Redemption of your soul will cost you $3. And you choose from which of the seven deadly sins that you want redeemed. Huh. The redemption comes in the form of a real actual physical golden scroll of absolution.
Starting point is 00:08:06 which will be delivered to you with your delicious pizza pie. So you get your pizza, I pay three extra bucks, you get your soul redeemed. Now, Eddie, I'm willing to buy your soul and you have to worry about it anymore. Yeah, so you're buying all the sins too that come with it, right? 100, you know what? 150. Wow. Oh, just went up.
Starting point is 00:08:24 150 to take my soul that I've had since the day I was born. I mean, but is you really taking it? Right. That's my point, Amy. It's just a word, right? Right, right. It is. Well, no.
Starting point is 00:08:34 Yes, it is. In this case, like, if you play along, you could get $150. Amy, do you think there's anything psychological attached to it where, like, I'm always going to know that he owns my soul? There could be something weird that I don't, on a deeper level, I wouldn't do it, but I'm just saying it's $150. And are you on the clock for one week? One week, okay. If next Tuesday, you don't take it, the deal dies. $150 for your soul.
Starting point is 00:09:04 That's ridiculous. But it's just a word, Eddie. I know, it's just a word. There's no real transaction. I give you $150. You signed a piece of paper that says, Bobby, you now own my soul, signed Eddie. We have to get a notary there to see it signed there.
Starting point is 00:09:19 Would you do it, Amy, for $150? No. $150? Nope. Lunchbox, would you do it? Yeah, one, no doubt. I ain't scared of that. Like, what are you going to do in my soul?
Starting point is 00:09:29 I mean, here, here's my soul. Cool. You can't take it out of my body, so you can't physically stick your hand in my mouth and take my soul. You would come up with nothing but air. Is that how you get it? Or you can't cut me open. You've seen too many horror movies, man.
Starting point is 00:09:44 Even if he did cut you open, what would he grab? Exactly, Eddie. So that's why you just take the $150 and go. I mean, you're the one that's freaking out over here. You got a week, Eddie. You're on the clock. A little scary. Okay. Which box? You still playing the lottery? Twice a week at least.
Starting point is 00:10:00 And then when paycheck comes 100 bucks on scratch-offs. What does your wife think about that? hundred bucks every single, well, every pay period. What does she think? She thinks, man, you're going to strike it rich and hopefully you'll give me some of it since we don't share money. And you've been saying this every day since I've known you, 15 years or so? Yeah, for a long time. And I'm telling you, that's what you got to do. You got to stay consistent on when you play. If you just play like once at once or once every two years,
Starting point is 00:10:24 the odds are you're not going to win. So you've got to stay consistent. So when I read one of these stories about someone winning, it drives you crazy? Absolutely. No, you got another one for me? Great. ruined my day. Go ahead. So here you go. North Carolina, there's a couple who won $366,000 in a lottery jackpot after playing the same set of numbers they've been playing for 26 years. See, that's what I'm talking about. That's what I'm talking about. See, what do you always say, fail until you don't? That's what you did. You fail, fail, fail, and then all of a sudden you don't.
Starting point is 00:10:53 Pays off. Perseverance. Quote, I was in the lazy boy as she was standing there watching. Last Wednesday, they were seen what the winning numbers were, and she started screaming. She goes, we won, we won. We won. They had a 1 in 962,000 chance. After the taxes are taken out and the lump, it's $259,000. Wow. Cash.
Starting point is 00:11:14 But I guess over 26 years, they probably spent. Not that much, though. Not that much money. So that story doesn't bother you? It bothers me, but I'm happy that it wasn't one of those people that, oh, I've never played the lottery before and all of a sudden I actually bought a ticket and I won $26,000 million, you know. But at least they've been playing for a long time. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:33 These people persevered, and that gives him hope. Well, there's a woman. I got another one here. Oh. Who said she was completely unaware of her nearly $45,000 lottery jackpot until she was cleaning her kitchen a month after the drawing and discovered a trio of forgotten tickets. Her name's Carolyn.
Starting point is 00:11:50 She said she was cleaning the kitchen. She saw three tickets. She's like, well, let me just check them. They each were $1. And then they won her $44,683. Big winner. What do you think about that kind of story? That the person makes me mad
Starting point is 00:12:05 because the next time I forget about the ticket will be the first time I've ever forgot about a ticket. I don't ever forget about a lottery ticket. How do you buy something with the chance to change your life forever and just forget about it? Do you just forget about a job interview that's going to change your world? No, you go to the job interview. So why would you forget about a lottery ticket?
Starting point is 00:12:26 All right, here's a guy. Another one? Another one. A Tennessee man, a Tennessee man who won a 75, $5,000 lottery prize in Kansas said he wouldn't have bought the winning ticket of the store hadn't been sold out of his preferred game. Brian Fox said he was
Starting point is 00:12:41 on his annual hunting trip to Kansas. He stopped at the shortstop gas station in Garnett to buy a pair of scratch-off lottery tickets. He was going to buy the five and $10 versions, but they didn't have the kind he liked, which was a holiday lucky times. So he bought a $10 jewel jackpot
Starting point is 00:12:57 and hit for $75,000. Do you like that one? I mean, No, I mean, that's fine. I mean, he at least plays the lottery. I just, and he knew it right away. It's not like he just accidentally forgot it. But congrats to him.
Starting point is 00:13:13 I mean, he hit the jewel jackpot. I mean, I get mad, but it's just like one of these days, people are going to be mad that I've won, and I shouldn't spew hate towards other winners, but it does irk me a little bit. If you won $50,000, would you quit the show? No, $50,000 is none. I can't live on a beach forever for $50,000.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Okay. If you won $250,000, would you quit the show? No, because I can only buy a Lambo with that. If you won that, you'd go buy a Lamborghini. You wouldn't worry about your kids' college fund, your house. No, I'll get a scholarship. Okay. At what? I don't know, smarts.
Starting point is 00:13:52 Did you get one of those smart scholarships? I got an Austin Livestock and Rodeo scholarship. For how much? I think it was $3,000, and the sponsor was Chaston. Contracting, thank you to them. They're still benefiting from that. Let me tell you, I have never told them thank you in person, but I should write them a letter and say, Chasco, thank you.
Starting point is 00:14:13 And if I would have maintained a 3.0 my first year, it would have renewed for a second year. You didn't make 3.0 even though you knew money was attached to it? Well, I mean, I tried, man, but college is hard, dude. College is tough. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two's 30 Second Skinny. Luke Combs talked about how he writes songs.
Starting point is 00:14:37 We'll either go to the mountains or to the beach or somewhere, and I'll just bring out people that I want to write with to that location and then focus on nothing but writing songs for two weeks straight. Riley Green shared his favorite Thanksgiving dish. My grandmother Nancy makes really good chicken and dumplings, and she makes a really good dressing. My favorite thing is biscuits and gray. But the problem is, my grandmother of the gene makes better gravy.
Starting point is 00:15:04 My grandmother Nancy makes better biscuits. So I can't tell one of the other. But if I could ever get them together on one, it'd be a great meal. Garth Brooks talks about his Thanksgiving plans with Tricia Yearwood. Well, Thanksgiving plans are going to be the same and totally different at the same time. What the deal is, she's still going to cook for 20 people. It's just going to be me. I'm Morgan number two.
Starting point is 00:15:23 That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. So Anthony Louis, he's an officer for the Seminole Police Department, and he's on patrol when he gets a call for a house fire. He starts heading in that direction. He's like, huh, this looks like my neighborhood, could be my neighborhood.
Starting point is 00:15:41 Gets closer, it's his house. Wow. His house is on fire. He rolls up and he's like, oh my gosh, my family is in there right now. He didn't even think twice. He finds a way to get through the front door and he gets in the house, rescues his entire family, and they're all safe. He gets them out.
Starting point is 00:15:58 Now, not so much for him, though. He was badly burned. suffered smoke inhalation for his injury and a little bit of injuries here and there but man he got them out he's hailed a hero but i say give him dad of the lifetime award oh i don't realize that was up for grabs forget hero wow but but he's called out to this place they didn't say the address exactly i didn't know his address i mean i don't think he just i guess he just follows a GPS map you know i don't even know if it's that way but so you know once i was driving to my went out of condo here downtown i was driving there was all these ambient fire trucks like like four of them they're like
Starting point is 00:16:30 I'm getting out of the way, driving through downtown. I'm like, man, whatever's happening, that sucks for that person. I get there and then it's blocked off near my house, and then I realize it's pretty close to my house.
Starting point is 00:16:39 And so I'm like, well, I'll park my car and I'm going to walk because I'm going to walk through it to get to my house. And then I realize, oh, that's my house. Whoa.
Starting point is 00:16:46 It was flooded completely. And I look and I see mighty drench standing outside of it with my dog. They're like, the whole place was flooded. Same thing. Wow. It was crazy.
Starting point is 00:16:56 And then I lost that place. It was terrible. Yeah. Well. Well, hey, but that's a good story. I guess you can kind of be a hero too. Thank you. Mike D did say my dog.
Starting point is 00:17:04 There we go. Mike D's a hero. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. Story up the day.
Starting point is 00:17:13 This story comes with us from Pelham, Alabama. A guy that worked at Burger King, he's a manager, got busted stealing $30,000 from the store over one year. What he was doing is he was filling out applications, hiring fake people, getting them on the payroll, and he would cash their paychecks. Wow. But how was the work getting done? No work getting done. We're always a man short on the shift. Oh, you know, don't do that.
Starting point is 00:17:39 But not a bad. It worked for a while. Wow, that's crazy. That's next level thinking, though. All right, what else? That's it? I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day.

I'll play you the fiddle, part from a famous country song.
Starting point is 00:22:03 You just have to name the song. Amy, lunchbox, produce ready. You'll write down your answer. You'll only hear the fiddle. For example, you'll know this one. Yeah. Wait. You should know it, know it.
Starting point is 00:22:27 Hold on. She's speaking in tongues. Run by run. Johnny Win the Rans or that. This is going to be a long game for him. She'll get there. Devil and down to Georgia. She heard the word devil.
Starting point is 00:22:41 Exactly. Okay, so that's how it works. I would have gotten there. If you miss it, you're out. Okay. That's going to be a short name. Number one. All right, one more time.
Starting point is 00:23:10 All right, that's the fiddle part. Amy. Calling Baton Rouge. Lunchbox. Calling Baton Rouge. Eddie? Colin Baton Rouge. Correct.
Starting point is 00:23:16 Yeah. Next up, name this fiddle. Amy is pulling. hold her headphones out so she can do that little game where she sings it. Oh, I've been in. Eddie? Been in. Lunchbox, what do you have?
Starting point is 00:23:44 That's wagon wheel. Amy? Wagon wheel. Eddie? Wagon wheel. That is correct. Nice job. Name this one as they get a little bit harder.
Starting point is 00:24:16 It's tough, but if you listen to what's around it, I think it helps. Yep. Lunchbox, what do you have over there? Chicken fried. Zach Brown band Chicken fried. Interesting. Eddie? I have chicken fried.
Starting point is 00:24:42 Amy? Chicken fried. Nice job. Don't do that to me. Don't do that. What do you do? He was like, oh, interesting. And I was like, oh, crap, that's really wrong.
Starting point is 00:24:52 Next up, can you name this song's fiddle part? Lunchbox is closing his eyes trying to feel that fiddle. I thought you fell asleep. No, I'm trying to listen to the music and you're hitting me. What country song is this fiddle solo a part of? Lunchbox is still trying to write something down. He sounds like he's going to the bathroom and it hurts. What?
Starting point is 00:25:36 Nothing. Lunchbox, do you have an answer down? Oh, I do. Of course. What do you have? Wide open spaces. Incorrect. That hurts.
Starting point is 00:25:44 That's right. But it's one of the, it's the diggy chicks. It's what? Diggity chicks. The diggity chicks. I like the way you work in. No, diggity chicks. You got to bag it up.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Diggity chicks. Can't change my answer? Nope. Earl has to die. Also, it's another digity chick song, not that one either. Eddie? I have Cowboy taking me away. By who?
Starting point is 00:26:11 Diggety chick. Dang it! See, I was on the right track. I don't know if that's right, though, lunch. No, it is. It's Cowboy Take Me Away. Correct. There it is. Sorry, lunchbox, you've been eliminated.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Yeah, but I fought hard. Yeah, you did. Oh, the chicks. By the way, their name's just the chicks. They should have with diggity chicks, though. They should have. Now they're thinking about changing their name. Okay.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Two people remain. Hit it. You guys in? In. Amy? Amarilla by morning. Eddie? Amarilla by morning.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Correct. That's doing pretty good. Thank you. We only have three left. this one's a little bit harder. Action. Oh, Amy goes to her paper quick. Wow.
Starting point is 00:27:07 Eddie is struggling right now. Love to see it. Ah, got it. Eddie? Where the green grass grows. Correct. Shoot. You don't have that?
Starting point is 00:27:27 I just don't have the name right. What do you have? Seminole and. Well, that's not even the same song. That's John Anderson. You're all wrong, Amy. She thought she was close. She missed every part of it, but she's like, I'm barely off.
Starting point is 00:27:41 Roll, roll, Simonle, win, don't you hear it? No. I mean, I can hear where you might confuse that, but that's not the same song. Yeah, I hear it now. She's like, I want to misspell the title. Well, how'd you spell it?
Starting point is 00:27:55 Roll, roll, Seminole win. Yeah. Where the green grass grows. It is Tim McGraw where the green grass grows. Dang. Eddie is our winner. Nice job. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Six for six. You want to try to hit the other two? Please. All right, here is the next one. See if Eddie can go perfect. Oh. Heartache medication? Nice.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Really? Yeah. Okay. I'm going to drink one. I'm drinking two. I got my heartache medication. And this would have been the tiebreaker speed round. Eddie, but see if you can get it.
Starting point is 00:28:37 Got it. What? Is it Alabama song of the South? No, it's Alabama. Oh. But it's, if you're going to play in Texas, you got to have a ball in Texas. That's the whole title. Texas.
Starting point is 00:28:55 The whole title is a very. You're going to play in Texas, parentheses, you got to have a fiddle in the band. Nice job, though, Eddie. Thank you, man. Take it, Amy. Fated love and let's all dance. If you're going to play in Texas, you've got to have a fiddle in the band. So if you remember, a few weeks ago, I awarded the very first ever employee of the month.
Starting point is 00:29:22 And our winner was Scuba Steve. Yeah. And not only did I send him $100 bucks. in cold hard cash, but I said, hey, you get to do any one segment you want about anything you want. And so I don't know what's about to happen here. All I know is that Scooba Steve is cashing in his coupon. Hi, Scuba. What's up, Bobby? Okay, so what's the deal here? So I had a few different ideas as your employee of the month. And I mold over them, thought about it. It's why here we are late of the month with the idea. And I thought about this one. And I'm like, you know what? I'm
Starting point is 00:29:51 to give us back to the listeners. Without their support, I wouldn't be here right now as your employee of the month. So enter a guy named Wayne. He approached me socially distance. I met him out in the wild and he wanted to give something to his wife for her birthday. It's on the 27th. They've been married for 28 years, want to mix it up. She's a massive fan of you and Bobby, the show. So I figured a nice way to help out a listener and help out another listener was doing this bit for them versus something for myself. It's a Bobby. So the way I see this play out, I'm so confused on what's happening so far.
Starting point is 00:30:25 Okay, it's a Bobby Graham. Go ahead. So it's a Bobby Graham. So the way I see this playing out, this is almost like me pitching it to you live on the radio and everyone involved listening to this. Go ahead. This is kind of the pitch session we're doing here for it. It's a Bobby Graham.
Starting point is 00:30:35 So enter Wayne. Wayne comes in the line. He's going to then talk to us, kind of give us a little backstory about himself and his wife. He is outside the house, kind of doing like a publisher's clearing a house kind of thing. And he's going to then bum rush his wife inside the house and surprise her with his birthday gift.
Starting point is 00:30:49 Which is why I call it. It's a Bobby. So Wayne's in the line right now. Hello, Wayne. Hey, Bobby. How are you? What's up? Wayne, you having a good day?
Starting point is 00:31:00 Man, I'm having a real... This is really exciting. My wife, I'm a big fan of years, and just give you a little background. We were, our youngest son is going to move them out there about a month ago. Lo and behold, you're syndicated out there, and it just made her day. She was able to hear the Bobby Bowdo show while we were in Colorado. I appreciate that. Well, so what I'm understanding, Wayne, is that we're about to.
Starting point is 00:31:31 do something called a Bobby Graham. Okay. This is where Wayne, this is where you run into the house and hand the phone to your wife and bum rush her and kind of a surprise her with this gift of her. Do this. Wayne, go up to her and say, hey, someone's on the phone and want to talk to you. And don't tell her it's me. Okay. And let me talk with her until she can guess who it is. Okay. You got it. I'm heading out way right now. Wayne's walking in the house. Bumrushing her. As we speak. Let's not bum rush anybody.
Starting point is 00:31:58 Yeah, that was a little of a harsh word. I'm sorry about that choice of. Cuba's like, put a bag overhead, throwing the back of the van. Drive her down. I was like, about to happen. Get the van. Hello? Hey, who's this? This is Annette.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Well, I'm just so happy to talk with you. Well, good. Who is this? Let's play a game, because I'm someone in your life, and I guess you don't recognize my voice. But I'm someone in your life. Who am I, guess number one? Is it Daniel? It is.
Starting point is 00:32:24 Yes, it is. It's not Daniel. It's not Daniel. Okay. It's about to your... Yeah, that would be it. Okay. It's about to be your birthday.
Starting point is 00:32:31 and I hear that you have a son that you're so proud of that's in the military. Yeah. And so you go to where, is he in school? Is that what it was? Or he's just stationed there? Stationed in Colorado. You go to where he's stationed there in Colorado. And I, in a way, am in Colorado every single morning.
Starting point is 00:32:49 Come on. Come on, Annette. You can do this. You're in Colorado every morning. Well, here's the thing, Annette. I'm not physically there every morning. I'm there sometimes, but I'm not physically there every morning. but I am, my presence is in Colorado in Denver.
Starting point is 00:33:04 Bobby Bonn? Yes, that's it. Oh, my God. Bobby Bonn? It is, Annette. How are you? Oh, my Lord. Like, I love you.
Starting point is 00:33:14 Oh, thank you very much. I appreciate that. Hey, so, first of all, let's talk about this son of yours that you're so proud of. How does he make you feel out there? Oh, very proud. He hasn't been there long, but he makes me very proud. Okay, good for you. And then your other kid, how old and where are they?
Starting point is 00:33:28 Peyton, he's almost 25. He's in Nashville. Okay. where that's that's where I am and so we've never met but your husband lined this whole thing up and I just wanted to tell you happy birthday I'm just such a big fan of your husband he's the greatest guy ever met my whole life like sometimes we just talk all night on the phone and it's a real just so you know he's my guy's been secretly keeping this from you um but happy birthday yeah right well I enjoy listening to you every morning I love your show I'm excited that you're in Colorado Springs I told Brandon as soon
Starting point is 00:33:59 when we were out there and I said I got the ball of Boney Bowles show. So I just, you bring such joy to so many people and y'all are so positive and I love everything that you do. Well, that's very. And I'm happy for you and Caitlin. Thank you very much. Very kind. I can't wait until this nutty pandemic's over and I can meet you in person, but I hope your birthday's amazing. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:20 All right. Bye, Annette. Bye-bye. Brought you by Scoob's Steve. Is Wayne still there? Yes. I'm there. Wayne, how'd that go? I thought it went fantastic. I really tried to put you over.
Starting point is 00:34:34 I acted like you and I are best friends and we talk every night. I don't feel like she believed that. Well, she knows better. Okay. Well, I hope that she liked it. I appreciate you calling us and hopefully I'll see you out and about soon.
Starting point is 00:34:45 Hey, thank you all so much. All right, there he is. Wayne Annette. What a lovely couple. It's a Bobby Graham. It's a Bobby. Oh, good job, Scoobo Steve. Hey, good job, Scoob, Steve.
Starting point is 00:34:59 Nice job. I appreciate you guys to make me employee the month. You guys are actually the real winner, so I really appreciate this. Wow, he's so giving. Maybe he'll be in play the month again for this second. Exactly. Here's a voicemail we got last night. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:35:13 I was just calling because I wanted to know a lunchbox question. I wanted to know what he does with all the coins that he's doing for his coin challenge. Is he giving them to his kids? Is he collecting them in a container for a future purchase or something? at very curious. And if you clean the coins before he brings them into the house or puts them anywhere, they do the same rotting. All right.
Starting point is 00:35:44 You can do Coin Challenge on Instagram? Yeah. Every time I find a coin in public, I put it on Instagram, and I call it the Coin Challenge. And I start January 1st of every year, and I put them in a jar. And then at the end of the year, I add up how much I had. Like last year, I got like $42 in coins just walking around, like at the grocery store, walking the neighborhood. And last year I bought something with it.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I don't even know what. This year I haven't decided what I'm going to do with it. But the coin jar this year is really low because I'm not really going anywhere. But I don't clean the coins. No. You just pick them up and you put them in the jar. And now my kid is starting to show interest in money. So maybe I had to put him in his piggy bank because he's like, penny, penny.
Starting point is 00:36:23 And he wants to hold the penny. And I'm like, ooh. Is he going to be money hungry like his dad? Well, I'm trying to teach him that, you know what? When you see money, you go get it. Like if it's underneath a car, you get down on all. fours and you get underneath that car and get it. Like we were walking the other day and I just happened to stop to tie my shoe and I look and I'm like oh there's a penny under there and I couldn't
Starting point is 00:36:39 reach it. I sent him under the car to get it. Are you teaching him that money is the most important thing? Yeah. And I teach like he's like he has a nickel in his hand and he's like, penny! And I'm like, that is a nickel. It's five times more valuable than that other one in your other hand. And I try to teach him that you want more nickels than you do pennies. What did you say you love more than your wife? Playing soccer. Okay, it wasn't money. But it should have been money too. So I guess my My wife moves down the list. Wow.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Number three. I mean, everybody loves their money more than their significant other. What? Without money, you couldn't have a significant other. That's not true. Okay. Be broke and see if she's going to be with you. Not be able to pay the bill.
Starting point is 00:37:17 See if she's going to stay around. So that's why your wife is with you. For your money. She would not be with me if I couldn't afford to put a roof over our head. No chance. You don't think she would work and let you stay home? No. Well, I mean, she might.
Starting point is 00:37:32 But I'm saying money, you have to have money to have anything. Like if I couldn't buy her a dinner sometime, she ain't going to be with me. If I couldn't drive a car to go pick her up on a date, she ain't going to be with you. Hey, I'll be over. I'm going to come over on the bus and pick you up and we're going to go. That's what some people do that. Yes. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:49 And are they still with their person? Probably. I actually saw the cutest homeless couple standing together and they looked so in love. And they look like they barely had anything lunchbox. Okay. I don't think money is more important than everything. It definitely has a need. There's a need.
Starting point is 00:38:12 I'm not walking down this. I'm done. I'm not arguing this. This is the dumbest argument ever. It was her first time caring for them, so she didn't know a lot about the family. Well, the mom never said, we're vegetarian.
Starting point is 00:42:06 So when the kids asked for a happy meal full of chicken nuggets, the babysitter bought it for the kids. Then the mom came home and found out, and now she wants the babysitter to pay her emotional support money for feeding her kids meat. If the mom didn't give restrictions, which by the way is weird, that there's a new babysitter and you don't give all the needed restriction? That's weird. This mom needs to shut her mouth. Yeah, the babysitter said she kicked me out without paying me
Starting point is 00:42:31 and then later texted me saying that I needed to pay her $430 per kid for the emotional damage I've caused them. If not, she'd take me to court. What a weird number to come up with too. Like I was doing the math to her and it'd be about 4.30 per go. Brandon needs 430.
Starting point is 00:42:45 She must have a bill that's $860 that she needs to pay right now. What kind of, oh, you mean just a general? General Bill. That's funny. All right else. So I have the best country songs about traveling. You know, Thanksgiving is on Thursday. So ranker.com put together the list of songs you can listen to. Maybe if you're hitting the road. Is Chris Dapleton Traveler?
Starting point is 00:43:07 That's his record. Oh, yeah, yeah. I'll just tell you everybody on here is old school. Okay, go ahead. Number five. Pretty good. Johnny Cash, I've been everywhere. I've been everywhere. Ray, you know this? Go ahead. See if he still knows it.
Starting point is 00:43:18 Where man? Cross the deserts wear man. Cross deserts man. I love my land. I've been everywhere. He's got it. See if he knows this part. You know Jennifer.
Starting point is 00:43:30 John O'Roe Vandong. No, he does. He sure doesn't. All right. Number four? Roger Miller, King of the Road. Oh, good. Don't get.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Seems by no means. King of the Road. All right. The highwaymen and their song, Highwayman. Highwayman. Ground and a road At number two, John Denver Take Me Home Country Roads
Starting point is 00:43:54 Oh, Jam, come on. Take me home. And then at number one Seems obvious. Willie Nelson on the road again. Of course. So obvious, I didn't even think about it. Oh, really?
Starting point is 00:44:05 I have to say the honorable mention, which came in at number six because it's my favorite George Strait Amarillo by morning. This is a traveling song? That he's driving. I know what he's trying to do. He's got to get to Amarillo back.
Starting point is 00:44:15 You don't have to explain it to me. All right. But that means any song going anywhere is traveling. It's just what I I know what this song is. Because he's got to get there by morning. Right, yes.
Starting point is 00:44:25 What else, Amy? Okay, do you hide a secret stash of money from your partner? I actually say, here's my money. Please go, and she's like, I have plenty money. I don't need your money. Well, 37% of people say that they have a secret stash of money
Starting point is 00:44:40 to hide from their partner, and they're hiding an average of $2,06. The main reasons for these stashes are they worry about debt. They believe that they're spending too much. They believe you're spending too much, not knowing how much to save each month makes them nervous and then decisions about major purchases. So those are what couples argue about? So they're like, I'm just going to put my money in a safe place for a rainy day. And how do you feel about that? I don't, I mean, I guess it's okay.
Starting point is 00:45:09 I feel like any hiding of anything probably shouldn't. If you work and have your own money, maybe it's okay if you want to keep something. Maybe they don't have to. If you tell them you're going to keep something. Right. You, they don't. They don't. don't have to have access to it or know how much is in it or anything and it's your business, what you do with it? Slippery Slope. As a wedding and a marriage expert, slippery slope. I agree.
Starting point is 00:45:28 Amy, is that it? Yeah, maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Say home it's something good. James and Clarissa bought their dream home in South Carolina. They move in.
Starting point is 00:45:45 They're all excited. And they're like, oh, man, there's this hidden drawer. the closet and they open it up and they find 50 gold and silver coins and they're like, oh my gosh, what do we do with them? They get them valued. They're $15,000 in value. Can you imagine just finding $15,000? And then where do you hide it to make sure nobody steals it? It was already in the secret compartment. It was a hidden drawer that was built into the wall that the people, the previous owners had lived there for 32 years, had forgotten about. And they're like, what do we do with these coins? They called the old owners and gave them back.
Starting point is 00:46:18 Good for them. Oh, that's awesome. I mean, all right. It's your story. Why are you getting mad at your own story? Here's the thing. Like, if they have $15,000 worth of coins they forgot about, they don't really need them.
Starting point is 00:46:29 Unless they lost them. They put them in the drawer. They didn't know a secret. So you would return them? Yes. I'm going to, Amy, I'm not going to call you out. She found the diamond to her new house. She didn't turn it back.
Starting point is 00:46:43 No, it was a diamond earring, and I'm pretty sure it was like fake. I haven't done anything with it. No, I still have it. You did chop her into work this morning. I still have it. I haven't kept it. I'm not going to do anything with it. But for your sake, I'll get it appraised.
Starting point is 00:46:56 Yeah, do that. Please. That'll be awesome. All right, lunchbox, great story. Do like they returned it. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Here are your big three songs and country music this week.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Blake and Gwen at number three with Happy Anywhere. At number two, Russell Dickerson. Love You Like I Used to. It's a former two-week number one. There's Russell Dickerson right there. At number one, Morgan Wallin, more than my hometown. That is his fourth number one in a row. That's seven summers will be a next number one for him.
Starting point is 00:47:50 It's in the 20s right now. Yeah, I like that song. That's a jam too. Number one pop song right now is from 24K Golden Mood. And your number one hip-hop song is from Internet Money. It's called Lemonade. And the number one song to Stanley My Bulldog is the dog song that the food company made. Here you go.
Starting point is 00:48:21 What was this called? Raise the roof. Raise the wolf. Her wolf. Yeah. Raise the... Turn it up. Oh, there we go.
Starting point is 00:48:31 That's the beat dropping. Drop the beat. So good. Let's go over and get Amy's joke. The morning corny. What role do green beans play in Thanksgiving dinner? What role do green beans play in Thanksgiving dinner? The casserole.
Starting point is 00:48:52 Okay. That was the morning corny. On the phone right now is Stu in Maryland. Stu, what's going on? Hey, Bobby, how's it going? Pretty good, man. What can I do for you? Yeah, so I wanted to call to see if I can get some.
Starting point is 00:49:09 advice on how to lose weight. It's Bobby Bones, world-class advice giver. I'm ready, Stu. What do you need? All right. So I went to a doctor the other day, and I've been having a lot of back issues. And he said the number one problem is because I'm overweight. And he said, I need to lose about 100 pounds in order for my back and my health to be better. Do you have any advice on how to lose weight in a proper way and a healthy way? Absolutely, I do, Stu. The best thing you about being a world-class advice giver is that sometimes you know you don't have the best advice, but you know someone that does. Now, I'd like to put Mike D on the air with you because Mike D has lost 100 pounds and in a healthy way. Mike D, what would you like to tell Stu? I would say the first thing
Starting point is 00:49:54 that really helped me was cutting out soda and excess sugar. Like, just by cutting out soda alone, I lost 30 pounds. 30 pounds, Stu. 30% of your goal just by not drinking soda and cutting out all that sugar. Okay. Secondly. And then I... I would say start small with something like walking. That's all I did. I could try to walk like maybe 20, 30 minutes a day. And then eventually I got up to where I could run a little bit, but it all started with walking.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Stu, for you, it's not going to be losing 100 pounds in a month. It's going to be realizing that it is a long-term goal. And the way to get to long-term goals is by very short paths. So every day it's doing something just a little bit. Until you can do, every day you do something in the middle bit. Until you do every day and you got, oh, I'm actually well-conditioned for this. Because the worst thing's going to happen is you're going to go out, try to change your lifestyle,
Starting point is 00:50:42 you're going to be so sore the next day, you're not going to want to do it anymore. Or you're going to injure yourself and not want to do it anymore, right? Yeah, because I failed many times before trying to lose weight because I would try to change everything all at once. It's the little changes. So cut sugar, which is tough to do, by the way. It's hard.
Starting point is 00:50:59 Let's not just gloss over that. But you can lose 30 pounds by just cutting sugar. Secondly, walk and start some sort of slow movement. What else, Mike? I'd say just stick with it. set some kind of goal you want to set each month that you want to hit and then just keep going adding on to that. Mostly, Stu, just know that you can do it.
Starting point is 00:51:16 It absolutely isn't unattainable. And I don't say that as someone who's a big goal guy, but, I mean, Mike D did it, change his whole life. It didn't happen in a month. How long it take you to lose 100 pounds? A year. It took you a year. But here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:51:30 If you don't do it now, in a year from now, you're going to go, dang, I still have to lose 100 pounds. And you could have already done it by then. So you got this, Stu. You got put your goals on your Lock screen and your phone. So you see them all the time. There are reasons people put goals on their refrigerator
Starting point is 00:51:44 so they see them all the time and they're reminded of them. We have faith in you, Stu. You can do this. How do you feel? I feel better now that I got some advice from someone who actually has lost a lot of the weight and from you too. I mean, I really do appreciate everything. You got this, bud.
Starting point is 00:51:59 I hope you. I'll start to stay and start my goals. And if you can afford it, occasionally get yourself a new shirt, new workout pair of shorts or shirt, because you're always motivated to exercise or whatever, if you have a new clothes to do it in. Yeah, I just got new gear.
Starting point is 00:52:13 It still helps out. So you're always like, oh, this is fun. I get to go wear this. So, have at it. Good luck. Check in with us in a few months. Let us know how it's going, okay? Yes, sir. I appreciate it. All right, there he is. There is Stu in Maryland. Go get on, bud. It's Bobby Bones, world-class advice giver.
Starting point is 00:52:30 And Mike. All right, lunch, fox, what happened? So we took my son to get his first. haircut. He's two and a half years old. Never had a haircut. So we look up this place and it's like a kid's place. All excited. Get there and it says only one parent inside. Okay. So my
Starting point is 00:52:47 wife goes in. They walk in. They start going towards the back and like, okay, they pass the airplane chair, the fire truck chair, the monster truck chair. And the lady puts him in a pink car. Like a little girl's seat.
Starting point is 00:53:03 Amy, why are you already? Did she think he was a little girl maybe? No. No, because we, when you fill it out, you say, oh, here's my son and this is, he's coming to get his haircut, first haircut, and you put his name down. And I mean, of all the things, you could have put him in the fighter jet, the monster truck. No, she puts him in a pink, like princess car to get his first haircut. Like, sorry, but once you do that, what are you telling him? Hey, you're a little girl. We're going to put you in this pink little car.
Starting point is 00:53:34 So I'm standing outside just going, are you kidding me? Are you kidding me? And I'm texting my wife, but she's, of course, too busy taking pictures and videos and not paying attention to her phone. And so when it was time to tip, got a less of a tip. You can't put the boy in the girl car when all those other ones are open. Put him in the monster truck. Put him in the ambulance. Put him in the fire truck.
Starting point is 00:53:56 I don't care, police car, anything, but the pink little girl car. I'm looking at the picture. Yeah, you see the pink little little. little car. You see the hair? It looks like a girl. Yeah. The hair looks like a girl. Yeah, I think they probably thought. I think they thought your son was a girl. Honest mistake. Yeah. No, no. When checking in said, we are here for my son's first haircut. That is what you say. Oh yeah, do you have a reservation? You have this time? Oh yeah, here you are. And they walked her on back and I had to go back outside. And they put him in the pink car. That, you want to talk about putting a damper on the
Starting point is 00:54:31 whole experience? Like you want it to be all exciting and proud. Like, oh, look at him. He's in a monster truck getting his haircut. No, he's in a little pink car getting his haircut. So how did it affect your son though? Because that's important. Did it? It didn't. Because your son were the ones that impose the color thing on kids and it was imposed on us. Like, what was it? In the 20s, pink was masculine. I think men, men wore red and little boys were pink. It's like the lighter version. anymore. We are 2020. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:55:04 Well, I'm looking at the pictures of your son. I definitely could see that people would think he looks like a girl. No, sometimes people, when we're out on walks, they'd be like, oh, she has pretty hair. Exactly. His hair is down to the middle of his back. Middle of his back.
Starting point is 00:55:18 Not anymore, though. But the fact that she put him in the pink car... How much you tip her less? I cut it in half. So you would have tipped her the percentage of what? I was going to tip her $8 because it was a lot of hair and it was a kid's haircut and they didn't seem very busy. But once got put in the pink car, four bucks. You couldn't just give her the extra $4 and say,
Starting point is 00:55:41 hey, is there any chance next time we can get one of the, you know, he likes trucks. Maybe we'll put him in the truck next time. Yeah, I mean, put him in the tractor. He loves tractors. Why not put him in the tractor chair? No, we're going to put him in the pink. I mean, all the chairs are open and you put them in the pink one. How, I mean, it's just, I'm sorry, Eddie, you would be mad to. Eddie, you have four boys. What? What? Yeah, what? It's no big deal. Oh, come on. And maybe this is her only chair that she has.
Starting point is 00:56:03 Yeah. This is Eddie that wouldn't buy his boy, the pink bike. Remember. That's true. I had the option. Oh, good point. I got shamed by that person. I'm just saying this could be her.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I have friends that do hair. They own, some of them only have certain chairs they can use. Or they rent a chair. Yes. What if she only has the pink one? Then say, hey, I only have the pink chair. Would you like to wait for another stylist? Absolutely we would.
Starting point is 00:56:25 I think maybe, or she's the one that has the pink chair that gets the girls that come in. and they thought a girl came in. Eddie, what were you going to say? Just like, I think it's an honest mistake. It's not a big deal. I mean, not worth taking the tip away. It's okay. But isn't it a mistake?
Starting point is 00:56:41 A haircut looks fine. There we go. He looks good. I just don't like classifying it as a mistake. I wish I had a pink shirt. Because as a, if a mom took her daughter in there for a haircut and put her in the fighter jet or the tank, like, that's awesome.
Starting point is 00:56:58 women can be fighter pilots and tank operators? Yes. Yeah, how many guys you see driving a pink car? Not very many. Exactly. I would. When I short from Mary Kay, I always wanted one. Pink Cadillac. Ugh, so frustrating.
Starting point is 00:57:11 And as a dad, it took away from the moment. Not a good move to not tip her. Oh, I thought you're going to say not a good move. But not a good move to put it in the pink car, right? Who cares? Who cares? The kid didn't have the difference. Yeah. Kid had no idea.

Starting point is 01:02:05 so I have a bunch of clips of country artists wishing people a happy Thanksgiving just name the country artist okay clip number one is very easy. You don't even have to write it down. Here you go. Wishing you a happy
Starting point is 01:02:21 Thanksgiving. Oh, that's easy. Easy's pie. All right. One, two, three. Lou Ryan. Nice. Are they all going to be that easy? No. They'll get a little harder as we go. Next up, name this one. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Oh, Amy's struggling already. Really? Amy.
Starting point is 01:02:39 Come on, Amy. Y'all are not? No, it's easy as pie. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Okay. Amy, who do you have? Carrie Underwood? Lunchbox? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Carry Underwood. What? Eddie? That's Carrie. Yeah, there you go. Next up, which country artist is wishing us happy Thanksgiving? Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:03:04 Very aggressive. Yeah, he comes hard, doesn't he? Yeah, a little bit. Amy? Darius Rucker. Lunchbox? Darius Rucker. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:03:10 Darius Rucker. Nice. Next up. Who is it? Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Amy? Kane Brown.
Starting point is 01:03:26 Linesbark? I didn't write that down yet. That did. We played it three times. Come on. At the end of the third clip, you already asked for answers. Eddie?
Starting point is 01:03:35 Kane Brown. Have it written down, too. Do we want to give that one to him or no? No, he didn't even guess. Well, I didn't have a chance to. I literally was like this. All right, we'll let him keep going. So he doesn't get the point, but he keeps going.
Starting point is 01:03:49 No, he keeps going. Okay. If you miss it, you're eliminated. Right. All right, next up. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Oh, I'm going to hear that again. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:04:00 Yeah. I have no idea. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. I almost got that one wrong. Who's that, Amy? I don't know, Jason Aldean. Nope.
Starting point is 01:04:12 Lunchbox? That's the chief. That's the chief. I never know him. You know what? You get one free pass. You say in the game. Oh, thank you.
Starting point is 01:04:22 We rarely hear him talk. So, Bones, does that mean I can get one wrong and I'm still in it? Nah. Not you. Not you. Okay. Yeah. We're done.
Starting point is 01:04:30 We're done with that game. All the freebies are gone. Next up. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Can you name that country artists? Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Oh, my goodness. Oh, man.
Starting point is 01:04:40 I don't know this one. I need that freebie. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. You guys want to know who that is? No. That's a tough one. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Oh, oh, I'm changing.
Starting point is 01:04:51 I got it. Like when she says wishing you, I feel like I know it is. But when she says, Thanksgiving, it doesn't sound like her. Really? Oh yeah, it's her, Amy. Amy, who you have? No, no, no, no. Do you saw my answer?
Starting point is 01:05:01 I didn't see your answer? You changed. Good thing you guys are so competitive, but this is for a scholarship. I play this one more time. Is it? Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Say it one more time. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:05:12 Lunchbox did you have? Well, I had Casey Musgraves, crossed her out, and I went with the new mom, Marin Morris. Yeah, he saw my answer. Oh, boo. Is that what it is? Eddie? I have Marin Morris. You think you saw your answer?
Starting point is 01:05:23 Yes, absolutely. Amy? Dang it. Miranda. Oh, no, that's not yet. That was my first guess. Okay. It's Mary Morris.
Starting point is 01:05:32 Let's do another one. Name this one. Happy Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving. Amy, you're out. You can put your pen down. Amy's dialed in there. Happy Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:05:43 And I know it. Amy. You have to write something. Lunch. Eddie. Happy Thanksgiving. Don't be mad because I'm getting things right, Eddie. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:05:52 It's Dirk's Bentley. Eddie? Dirk's. Nice. I'm getting drunk on a plane. All right, next one. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Woo!
Starting point is 01:06:00 I love that one. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. All right. You got it? Yeah, Eddie. You want to see my answer? Nope. Lunch what you have?
Starting point is 01:06:07 George Strait. Eddie? George Strait. Wow. The hospitality on my left is just unreal. Like, I don't know where it's coming from. I mean, I'm convinced he cheated. Off of Kane Brown?
Starting point is 01:06:19 Yes. No, no. Merrim. No, Merrim. No, Mary Moore's looking at my answer. Eddie. I will swear on everything I own. I did not see your answer. When Amy said, oh, it's
Starting point is 01:06:26 sounds like her, but when she says it's different, it changed my mind. Okay. Hey, so, sudden death now, guys? Okay. If he wins, I've had enough of you, too. So, we're going to play it. Buzz in with your name. Okay.
Starting point is 01:06:40 Ready, here we go. Wishing you a happy Thanksgiving. Eddie. Eddie. That is Luke Combs. Correct. Tinket! Wishing you lunch, lunch, walks, a happy Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:06:52 Tinket. Woo! Yeah. And you have a thap now. What are you thinking about that, Eddie? All bones. That's great. That's what I needed for Thanksgiving.
Starting point is 01:07:02 Thanksgiving. I wish you a happy Thanksgiving. Because the one thing I hate is people cheat, you know, and then they rub it in your face. And, dude, you know what? There was no cheating whatsoever. I don't cheat to win. Okay. I don't need to cheat to win.
Starting point is 01:07:15 Fun game bones. Thank you. All I know is I hear that George straight clip and I'm like, man, if we could have had this job 25 years ago. Well, then we'd be. Then we'd be night. Yeah, we'd be dead. Yeah. And he was like, if we could just be about to die, this would be amazing.
Starting point is 01:07:30 Or if George was still in it and wanting to come in like Garth, you know. But George didn't live here. I know. But you know what? I make fun of you, but I think about that with Johnny Cash. Like I wish he was coming in on Friday. You know how I do that with? We get to interact with and we missed the George Strait boat.
Starting point is 01:07:46 Yeah. What? I mean, I think about that with like George Washington. Like if he would have been back in the day, like we would have been a lot, we would have met him. That would be so cool. For me, it's like if King Tut were only away. Wow. See, that's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Now you're making fun of us. I mean, at least the George thing was realistic. No, no, no, but if I could just have five minutes with Genghis Khan. You'd beat your butt, dude. All right, haters. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:08:16 Since COVID hit and restrictions were put in place for visitation at nursing homes and assisted living facilities all across the country, residents have been missing their hugs from loved ones. So, the Catherine and Charles hover greenhouses in Colorado set up a special spot to allow folks who live there to embrace friends and family safely. The senior living facility put up a three-sided tent with clear plastic walls that have armholes with plastic sleeves. Residents and relatives were able to hug each other risk-free
Starting point is 01:08:46 something that they've waited about eight months to do. Carol and her 97-year-old dad, Vince, shared a five-minute embrace and did not seem to mind they were separated by a single piece of plastic. Well, gosh, that was marvelous. I couldn't hold her hard enough. She's so sweet, you know, it's just wonderful. Do you get to hug your dad when he comes over?
Starting point is 01:09:10 That's awesome. No, we don't touch. Really? Yeah. And her dad sets far away, but does at least get to come to the house now. Right. I mean, we try to just do it as protocol, like they've said. You don't put yourself in a trash bag and do that?
Starting point is 01:09:23 Because I think I would. Maybe I will. I hadn't really thought of that. But we try to follow the rules. That's a great story. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Amy, your daughter wants to play the lottery now?
Starting point is 01:09:35 Yeah, I don't know where she heard about it, but she realized, like, you could spend a dollar or two, and suddenly, boom, win a million dollars. So she has her own money, but she told me she's not old enough to play, so she would like for me to buy the tickets for her so she can play. And that's her choice, and she's wondering if I will help her out. Will you help her out? I mean, we don't, I feel like it's a waste of money, and I want to teach. her that that's not a wise investment. It's not a good way to spend her money. What if she's spending it for entertainment, though?
Starting point is 01:10:06 Right. Because if you're spending a dollar and you're having a dollar worth of fun. Yeah. Does that make me her... Is that legal? I mean, I know my parents, when I was little, they'd buy me lottery tickets and I'd get to scratch them, or... So I guess it's fine.
Starting point is 01:10:17 But I don't really want her to spend that money, her money that way. But if it's a dollar here, dollar there, I guess I'll do it. Would you rather spend a dollar on candy or a dollar on a dollar lottery ticket? I mean, true. So... Which one? And we could... Well, here's the thing, though.
Starting point is 01:10:31 I get half of the winnings. Sure. Says who? What? I'm just wondering, what's my role in this? I'm the one that's buying her the tickets. You're her mom, yeah. I make a deal with her.
Starting point is 01:10:41 If you win, I get half. That's insane. No, no, no, no. But, boy, she's the mom. She can do that. Why is that? Because if she wins $10, you're going to take $5 of her money? Yes.
Starting point is 01:10:52 That's crazy. It's her money. She's gambling, though. She's 13. Okay, so I would say, if you want to let her play the lottery, let her play the lottery, right? I wouldn't say take half her money. Okay, how much do I take?
Starting point is 01:11:05 I would say you take none unless it's over $1,000 and then you're going to take 20%. If she wins 50 bucks, you don't take it. Because like, Bones, what if she wins like a million dollars and you don't have these rules and she's like, see you mom? Like, boom, got a million, I do whatever I want. It's in the mom's name, right? Because the mom had to cash in the ticket
Starting point is 01:11:26 so she could put it in college fund. Oh. Right. Okay. Okay. I will be taking a percentage, but I don't know yet what that will look like. Can I get her lottery tickets for Christmas? Sure. Oh, yes. Get her addicted. That's a good job, Bobby. She's going to be really phoenix. I'm going to get her one of those fake ones where it looks like you.
Starting point is 01:11:44 Oh, no. That is awesome. She will not know the difference. She will not be able to tell that that's not real. Mom, I'm out of here. She leaves. She packs her bags. No, no, no. Eddie, would you let your kids, my lottery tickets? Yeah. Like we gamble already on games. Like I help, they help me pick parlay games. So they love gambling. They love the idea of like Amy said, put a dollar on it and you can win up to a thousand. Yeah, that's fine. So they use their own money though?
Starting point is 01:12:10 No, no, no. Dad's money. Do you let them use their own money if they had it? I wouldn't advise them to. But you got to understand the lottery system's pretty cool. Like the money that goes to the lottery is education. And there, I haven't found out that our state has a thousand dollar scholarship if you just apply. Straight from the lottery. That's pretty cool.
Starting point is 01:12:28 Wait, if you apply, you get it automatically? Automatically. All you have to do is apply? All you have to do is apply. That's how much money the lottery in our state has. That seems a little aggressive on just apply. Maybe I shouldn't have said it on the radio because then that'll change. Or maybe you misunderstood and there's something a little bit more in depth about that?
Starting point is 01:12:45 Because that seems, they're like sign your name right here. Lunchbox is going to apply right now for the lottery scholars. I'm going to dot gov right now. I typed in Tennessee lottery win. So it does go to something good. Is that how you justify it? whenever you buy a lottery ticket you're like, oh, I'm making my donation to education.
Starting point is 01:13:03 Absolutely. What did you say, Mike? Certain colleges. Sure. Pretty good. Yeah, that's pretty good. I mean, university, all the big schools are on here. State schools. That's awesome. Okay, so your daughter can play. I have no problem with it, Eddie? No problem with it. Lunchbox, obviously, doesn't. That's how I got started. My dad buying me lottery tickets,
Starting point is 01:13:21 but my dad would never take a percentage. That is just highway robbery. But what if it's a big amount? Doesn't matter. She's the one that took the chance with. With her money, you weren't willing to take that risk so you don't get rewarded. But I was the one that went and bought it for her. I just felt like that's fair. Well, what's fair, whatever you decide, you're the mom and it's in your name. Okay.

All I knew from Tiffany's was it was a store in the movies. Wasn't even for sure it was a real store. But it is, right?
Starting point is 01:17:25 Yes. And so they have this everyday object section on their website. And I brought up the 18-carat paper clip that was $1,800. One paper clip, $1,800. Crazy. By the way, if you want to get it on sale, it is on sale now for $1,500. Oh, great. Clearance.
Starting point is 01:17:43 One paper clip costs $1,500. Who in the world would buy that? Ridic. And if you did buy it, the only reason to have it is to tell people you have it. So you'd have to tell everyone you have it, right? Yeah. I pulled some of the other items from the section. See if you can guess how much they go for.
Starting point is 01:18:01 I'll give you the amount, Amy, you say over or under. Okay. There's a, they're called bone china paper cups. They look like the cups you'd pull out from a, what's a little dispenser called?
Starting point is 01:18:23 Oh. Like the water cooler? Solo cups. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I know what you're talking about. Yeah, there are two of them, over under $100. Over. $125 for the set of two. Well, that wasn't very fun.
Starting point is 01:18:37 Well, but are they are paper or they're... They're like the... They mimic the paper. Mostly mimic, but they're really small. Okay, next up. A sterling silver crazy straw. Starting point is 01:18:53 Designed in sterling silver. With a Tiffany blue enamel accent, this whimsical straw is fun and festive. It'd be a great addition to your home. Is the straw over or under $250? Under. For a straw. It's under. It's $275.
Starting point is 01:19:12 He keeps getting you. That's nuts. It's just a straw? And it's not even that whimsical. Oh my gosh. It's barely even crazy, Eddie. It only has a couple turns. For that kind of money, I want the roller coaster of death.
Starting point is 01:19:28 Loop-thony-loops. A sterling silver protractor. You know what a protractor is? Yes, I used them in school, like... From back in the day. Right. Designed in a sterling silver with a Tiffany blue enamel accent, American walnut. This protractor, I mean, it looks like a protractor is straight on the bottom, then the arch on the top. God, it's like a ruler.
Starting point is 01:19:51 Like a half moon. Yes, yes. Nice. Over or under $350. Under. Over $500 for a protractor. Nuts. And you can get it engraved. Oh, great. For an extra what? Thousand.
Starting point is 01:20:09 How about a sterling silver clothespin from Tiffany's? It can be used to display photos or momentous occasions. It is a whimsical edition of the home. I love these. That's their word. Over or under $500 for a single clothespin. I mean, if the people are, Paperclip is $1,500.
Starting point is 01:20:26 Shoot, I'm going to go over. The close pin is $525. There are tennis paddles. I'm just going to read you this one. It's two table tennis paddles. Like ping pong paddles. $700 for the set. They don't even look expensive.
Starting point is 01:20:46 And they're really usable? And those things break easy, too. A sterling silver mini folding chair. $975. Wait, how much are the ping pong paddles? 700. Oh, okay. A travel poker set.
Starting point is 01:21:02 Everything needed for poker on the go. This travel poker set is a whimsical and luxurious take on the classic game. Over under $2,000. Man, you can take it with you on the go. Over. $2,750. I'm just starting to say over because that's the theme. I'm doing over on all of them.
Starting point is 01:21:23 You haven't noticed? Yes. Yeah. mesh scarf necklace. It's 18-carat gold. Oh, wow. It's probably a lot. It doesn't look like there's much to it, but it costs
Starting point is 01:21:37 $28,000. Yeah. Wimcical? The word whimsical is not written in this one. But if you go to the Tiffany's website, you can see how crazy, ridiculous all this stuff is. And again, why would you buy this? People do buy them, though, obviously. It wouldn't be up there.
Starting point is 01:21:52 Would you like to have this stuff, lunchbox? Yes, just to show it off. I mean, just imagine if you go somewhere or someone walks in your house and you're able to show them off the little paper cut you want to cup. This is from Tiffany's little, they only cost $1,000. Yeah, but people would do that. You would have no friends.
Starting point is 01:22:08 Yeah, that would. Because people would want to be around cool stuff like that. Do you think people want to be around people with cool stuff? Yes. Why do you think rich people have friends? All right. They can't be good people? I mean, sure.
Starting point is 01:22:21 But would you rather go to someone that has a trampoline, a pool, a hot tub, a slide into the pool, and Tiffany Cups, or are you going to go to the guy down here that has a tree branch and you get to swing off of that? I mean, come on. Well, it depends how fun the guy is. Right. Morgan number two, are you dating anybody yet? Nothing serious, but I do have some prospects for the first time in a while.
Starting point is 01:22:45 Is that because of the dating apps? A few are, yeah, but there's one that isn't. Really? A few, and then there's another? Wow, talk about prospects. Wow, you know, peaks and valleys. She got a whole farm club down there. So you have four guys?
Starting point is 01:23:00 No, not four. I'm three. She's going to go higher. So you have three guys. And they're all very, very new. So very, very new. They're all very nude? New.
Starting point is 01:23:11 New. So you meet two of them on an app. Which app? A bumble. Okay, and you meet the other one? I actually met him through my dentist. He's like their medical sales guy and they're basically setting us up on a blind date. Nice.
Starting point is 01:23:26 So you haven't been out with him yet? No. Not yet. Have you seen what he looks like? No, we've just exchanged some text messages to set up the date. But you haven't like searched him on Instagram to find out what they look like? Not yet. I'm going to.
Starting point is 01:23:38 I've been waiting. Let's do it right now. Do it. I got to figure out his last name and then I can. Like that matters. Back in the day, I would give Morgan the idea that someone's hair color might be this. You'd be like, I found him right here. Here's their address.
Starting point is 01:23:52 So, but one of these guys, you were going to go on a second date with him? Yeah, and I'm being really cautious with COVID and everything going on. So if I go out with them, it's like a patio date out in the open. There's no physical things happening. It's very as safe as it can possibly be, right? Well, he offered for a second date to rent out a movie theater for me to be really safe. So I didn't have to be around a bunch of other people. And I was like, this can't happen.
Starting point is 01:24:19 That's way too much for me. I can't handle the pressure of you renting out of a movie theater for me. Wow, that is baller. Why would you not? This is where he screwed up. You just do it. And you're out on a date. You're going to someone.
Starting point is 01:24:31 You're like, hey, listen, we're going to the movies, but there's nobody there. We have a theater. You don't say, do you, because then she'll go, there's too much pressure. Yeah, it's awkward. So not good planning on his part, although, pretty baller move. Cool move. So how much does that cost do we know? I think it only costs like 150 now because they're a lot cheaper the movie theaters are.
Starting point is 01:24:51 And when you say only, you mean, versus what it normally would, because that's a lot to watch. lot. He's going to pay $150 for a second. He must be into you. Yeah, I mean, I don't know. We ended up going ice skating, so it worked out. Oh, so you did go on a second date? We did go on a second date. Would you let a guy buy a theater for you? I don't think on the second date, I would have felt comfortable with it. But if he had already presented it the way you did, then I would be like, oh, okay, yeah, I guess we're going to do this. Is this guy in the lead right now?
Starting point is 01:25:16 There isn't, honestly, they're all on a very level playing field because I don't know any of them well enough yet. But he's doing, I mean, he's the only one I've gone on a second day with so far. So he's in the lead in that sense. Who does he look like? What celebrity? We'll call him movie guy. I would probably say Chris Evans. Dang. Okay. That's Captain America, right?
Starting point is 01:25:40 Yeah. Wow. How does this guy lose? Was it Chris Evans? He wanted to give you a theater? No, no. To watch his movies? Oh, man. Theater, empty by yourself? He would have been makeout for sure. No. You're not kissing these guys? Nope. Safe. COVID safe, y'all. Until I'm like on maybe third or fourth day and I'm only seeing them, you know, I don't know these guys yet. So. What does movie guy do for a living about what kind of job? He's a chef.
Starting point is 01:26:07 Wow. This is awesome. I want to marry him. Yeah, I like them already. If I didn't have Caitlin, I would be like, what's up, buddy? Wow. And at like a place you've eaten that? Um, yes. Mm-hmm. A place we've all eaten at? Probably a few of us. It's Chipotle. It's Chipotle as it. It's Pizza Hut. I knew it. So the movie guy's a chef. Wow. Does he have tattoos?
Starting point is 01:26:28 I always think chefs are cool and they have tattoos. Yeah. He's a chef and he looks like Chris Evans with tattoos. Hey, don't chefs have like crazy hours? Yes, they work. Well, they work. Restaurant hours. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:41 Night. It's late. Well, Chris Evans has a lot of tattoos. We're sure it's not him. It's not him. Okay. I would know if it's Chris Evans. The other guy.
Starting point is 01:26:50 Yeah. It does kind of what? He's medical sales. So he's got a little money. Yeah. And I'm trying to think of what he looks like. Does he let you see a stethoscope? He's not a medical professional.
Starting point is 01:27:04 He sells stethoscopes. Yeah, maybe he does. No, I think he sells dental equipment. No, no, that's the other guy. Yeah, that's the other. There's another. Yeah. There's two medical sales.
Starting point is 01:27:14 She's got doctor medical cells, dental medical cells. And chef. And freaking Chris Evans, the chef. How do you not pick Chris Evans the chef? Dang. Yeah, when is he going to cook for you? Is his food good? I mean, obviously, have eaten there, but did you like it?
Starting point is 01:27:28 I've seen a lot of pictures of it that looks great. When you ate there, did you know that he was the guy? Had no idea. I mean, he was in the back, you know, cooking. I wasn't back there. But how did you meet him? On a dating app. Oh, I thought he kept sending extra food out like, oh, here you go.
Starting point is 01:27:40 Have some of this. Have something. You're like, what is this? And the chef came out. And nobody's in the lead. Nope. It's just very level playing field. I'm trying to be as slow.
Starting point is 01:27:49 as possible and just get to know all of them. Would you, if tomorrow was Christmas, buy any of them a Christmas gift, even a small one? No, not yet. Way too soon, yeah. Not even like a utensil set for old. No, not yet. Okay. Keep us updated.
Starting point is 01:28:05 I still think the movie theater move was pretty cool. And that was the chef, right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I like that guy. Me too. I pick the chef. He's got a good heart, you know? The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported
