Starting point is 00:02:32 where we will uncover lunchbox's entire road to the Price is Right. Spoiler, he got on Price is Right. It all started back in July of 2025, which is about a year back from today. That is the first time he put it out there that he's going to start to try to get on the Price is Right. Now, Lunchbox had a dream being on a game show way longer than that. He made it happen. As he would say, do you believe in miracles? Well, a lot of people said that, but he's the last one to say it. This episode will take you on that journey from start to finish from the drama of him getting tickets, messing up, tickets, going to L.A., finding out he was actually on, his experience there, how he lied to us, all that. Now, knowing now how it ended makes it even more
Starting point is 00:03:16 interesting because it was good. He actually couldn't tell us anyway legally, so he had to keep it from us, but it was good. So here we go. Lunchbox's journey, the special on the price is right. So you say, if I take time off, I can just go to Hollywood, right? No, I've said in the past, We have times that we could let you off to go to Los Angeles. But I don't just go. You can just take wherever you want off to go to Hollywood. Okay. So I should cancel that flight.
Starting point is 00:03:43 For what? October 13. Yeah, you should probably cancel that flight. Did you buy a flight? He told me I can go whenever I want. Did I ever just say, hey, go whenever you want? I think you maybe said, hey, if you want to go, sort of plan it, let us know. This is him letting you know, though.
Starting point is 00:04:01 He's already planned it. Everything's so backwards with him. You ask first. What's October 13th? Well, they are filming. Like Price is right. Has their dates. And they're filming that week.
Starting point is 00:04:11 And so it's far enough in advance where I can apply for ticket to get into the show. Like through September so far, they're like sold out, sold out, sold out. Apply for the ticket. As long as you work from the studio there. No problem. Bam. All right. Is that in Burbank or is that in L.A.?
Starting point is 00:04:30 The studio? You tell us, dude. I don't know Hollywood. Go on. Surfer Dad. I've never been to the IHeart Studio there. Oh, the I heart studio. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:39 I don't care about anything else. It's Burbank is where price is right. It's a Burbank. It's a bird. Boom, we're right now. Yeah, well, but last time I had to go, they wanted to set me up over in. I can handle it.
Starting point is 00:04:47 You didn't run through me. If you'd run through me, we'd have got you wherever you wanted to go. That's the real Hollywood, right? I didn't run any of it. Yeah. If you want to work in Burbank, we'll put you in Burbank. But you can go.
Starting point is 00:04:57 How long are you going to be gone? I was going to go for a whole week, man. That's a vacation. No, you're taking a vacation. I was literally going to go and try to get on the show. They will give you tickets for certain days. If you show us the days you have tickets for, you can be gone for those days. Right. Because if I'm in the audience the first day and I don't get called up, I want to go back to the second day.
Starting point is 00:05:15 But you have to have tickets for that. Right. I'm going to apply for all of them all week. And then all the tickets that you get, you let us see them. And you can have off for whatever tickets you get. And then every day that I'm there, I'm going to try other shows. Okay, but whatever days you have for the, the tickets, you can be gone. I will be hitting up. Price is right. It's not filmed
Starting point is 00:05:34 in Burbank if he thinks it is. Uh-oh. It says a lot of TV and film is in Burbank, but not the prize is right. Oh, maybe the company at the end is just in Burbank, the one that puts it off. On the TV show, you just see the credits and you think. It says Burbank. It's in Glendale. Oh, lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Which is close. Yeah. See, there you go. When I did dancing with the stars, I lived in Glendale. Oh, okay. See, because the station was in Burbank. That makes me feel better. Yeah. All right. Let us know. Question. Answer.
Starting point is 00:06:03 Emailing prices right for tickets. Should I send it for my... I thought you already had all this figured out. No, no, I don't know. I'm saying which email... You've already bought the flight? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:06:12 I'm saying which email, do I send it from my hot mail or do I send it from my, like, work email? Not hot mail. You get tickets online for free. Yeah, but you can email them if it's not available. The tickets aren't available yet. Like, if you see a date that works for you, you can email them. And that's October. They haven't put those out.
Starting point is 00:06:30 They only do them 60. days in advance. Just message them from your MySpace. There we go. That'll go straight to them. This is when I'm being serious. And you guys are being jokes. We're being jokes. I would just message them from whatever email you use the most. So if they respond, you'll know. Okay. I just didn't know if it's more impressive.
Starting point is 00:06:47 It came from the, you know, August, September. You have like 30 days to figure out. I'm figuring it out right now. Let Scuba know and let him see the tickets you got. And all those days that you have tickets for, you can be gone. Okay. But you have to work from our studios. No, no. I understand. I'm not going on it. I'm going to get on TV.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Okay. You guys say I'm not about it. I'm about it. Okay, we're in. You haven't been about it yet. I know. We look forward to you being about it in year 20 of our show. That's right. Hey, people change, man. Leaves changed. Every year they change colors. Leaves change. Where did you see that to wait and use that? Because that came from something. He was sitting on that. He was waiting for me. Yeah, go ahead. I came from my mind right now. Okay. That's pretty good. From the dome.
Starting point is 00:07:26 Okay, there he is. We're rooting for you, lunchbox. All right. Come on now. lunchbox wants to do prices right. So what's the latest on that lunchbox? Oh, I got my tickets. I'm good to go. Tickets, as in to go sit in the crowd. Yeah, sit in the crowd. I mean, I have no guarantee that they're going to pick me to come on stage,
Starting point is 00:07:43 but October 17th, look for me. Come on down. We can't look for you on October 17th because it's taped. Oh, yeah, that's what I meant. Right. So if we tell our listeners, look on October 17th, they're going to look, but they're going to see a show from like March that was recorded. Okay, so I,
Starting point is 00:08:01 I will be in the audience on October 17th filming, hoping to hear my name called, come on down, you're the next contestant on the prize is right. And I go crazy and then I bid one dollar, get on stage, and I'm going to play a hole in one or two. And then I'm going to go to the showcase showdown. And then my question is, like, if I spin the big wheel and I'm the first person, I get 60 cents. Do you stay or do you go? How do you know you're going to get on the show? Did you just get tickets to the website like anyone else?
Starting point is 00:08:30 Yeah. Okay, so you didn't have like an inside. No, no, I just went and I registered and I got tickets and I, but I have a priority ticket. So if I show up on time, I'm guaranteed to be in the audience. Oh, nice. Are you guaranteed to talk with a producer? That it did not say. Do you have a plan for what you're going to wear or do?
Starting point is 00:08:54 That I do not. I don't know what to wear. Like, I don't know if I'm like, Drew, I'm here for you or. I mean, that's everybody. Everybody's doing what you're thinking there. I always see a lot of military guys. You can't impress a lot. No, no, no. We're not doing that.
Starting point is 00:09:09 Just a thought. I would, listen, if it were me, I would do the opposite of what everybody does where you wear a t-shirt with a name on it. I also wouldn't dress normal. If it were me, I'd wear a full tuxedo. Because nobody does that. It stands out, but it doesn't stand out in a weird
Starting point is 00:09:23 It's like a warmly weird way. Like, you thought this was such an important event that you wore a tuxedo. That's funny. Oh, that's pretty good. So if I were strategizing, especially the clothing, I would wear something like a t-seto. Something they're not going to say, no, you can't wear that. And also, everybody does the T-shirts and that.
Starting point is 00:09:45 So you can't do military. No, okay, I guess not. Yeah. And you can't wear a mascot costume or anything like that. That's too much. You can't cover your head. Right. Yeah, it's not let's make a deal.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Oh, yeah, that's the one where you dress something in costumes. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, I think I'd go full tuxedo and like have my hair fixed and gelled. And they're like, why are you dressed like this? You're like, this is the most important day of my life. Yeah, more than your wedding. Yeah. And I didn't even dress like this for my wedding.
Starting point is 00:10:09 Like, I would make that stuff. Yeah. That would be the center of my existence there. Okay. So I have to go to a tuxedo place, carry it on the plane, take it to my hotel room. Make sure it's a nice, sharp. Boom, let's go. Lunchbox is not that hard.
Starting point is 00:10:23 It's just clothes, man. No, no, I'm saying. I'm in. I got to get a, what do you call the? those things, those bags that they carry them. A hanging bag? I don't know. Like I see business.
Starting point is 00:10:35 It comes with a rental, dude. It's all included. Also, it doesn't matter if it gets wrinkled on the plane. You just get a steamer when you get to the hotel and then steam it there. Like, you can literally pack in your suitcase. Woo! Woo! Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:46 A month away, though. One month away, I will be in L.A. Are you going to shave your face? Oh, I'll shave my face. Yeah, it's going to be gone. Listen, sometimes, like, when it's big events, fence I shave my face. It's my face just, it gets out of control sometimes because I get busy and then I forget about it. But price is right. I'm going to be looking sharp. What are they called dapper. I will make anybody a deal on this show that works for this show. If you can get on a game show and you shout out to Bobby Bone show, I'll give you a thousand bucks. Whoa. And cash. So anybody, you can apply. As long as it's like a real game show, it's not like local, you know, throw the cup and the, you know, the ball in the cup type thing. Like a real game show. Yeah, you get on a real game show. Game show network. work, whatever. I'll give you a thousand bucks if you get on and say Bobby Bone Show on air.
Starting point is 00:11:33 All right. I'm on it. So that gives you guys some motivation to go apply for game shows, okay? Okay. Good luck. And lunchbox, you're headed out when, October 17th? Yeah, so see you in LA, baby. You won't see me. But dang, that's like just a little over a month away. Yeah. That's pretty exciting. Okay. I think we should just, you know, congratulate him on actually doing something about it. Because, you know, he said he's wanted to do this for years. We've had to push him to do it Every single, every step away. I think, you know, it's just positive reinforcement. So give him.
Starting point is 00:12:02 Yeah, give him praise. That's false positive reinforcement. Oh, it's, what do you want? Just say, good job. Yeah, like, Lunchbox, this is amazing. Like, we're proud of you. But we made him do it. We're proud of you.
Starting point is 00:12:12 Okay, we're proud of you. Lunchmarks, when are you going to Price is Right? It is next Wednesday is the day. I'll be at the taping. Okay, okay. I'm a calendar. So the 15th? The 15th.
Starting point is 00:12:23 That's the taping day. That is the taping day of Price is Right. When do you leave the 14th? Yeah, the 14th. I fly out at like 3 o'clock in the afternoon. Woo-hoo! So you land, stay at the hotel. Yeah, I got to get a hotel.
Starting point is 00:12:37 Go on the 15th? Yep. Are you going the 16th? Go on the 16th. Okay. And going on the 17th. Oh, wait. Three days.
Starting point is 00:12:44 Okay, all right, all right. Oh, wait, what? I don't know. Increases chances. Okay. You think it's 30 days of vacation? I. My question for you guys also is, do I wear a white tucks?
Starting point is 00:12:54 No. No, she wear a black tucks. Black tuck. Normal. Yeah. You have a top hat? All three days? Same tucks all three days?
Starting point is 00:13:02 Yeah, yeah. Are you renting it in California or taking it with you? Well, that's what I'm doing. I'm going to go to a store here and pick it up in California. Wait, what? Yeah, same kind of store. They just send over the measurements. Correct.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Got it. Oh, like a chain. Yeah. So next week, okay, we need to have like a secret word or something because if you get on or you can't, you don't get on. Well, if you don't get on, you can't get on. you didn't get on. Correct. If you do get on, I'm not sure you can say you got on, or maybe you can say you got on, but you can't say if you won. Yeah, I have no idea. This is all new to me. And then I don't know, like, is it like, oh, this airs in a week or does this air in like six
Starting point is 00:13:41 months? I would think a few months. Maybe we just all stay in suspense until Monday. Like he doesn't tell us anything. Even Monday is what I'm saying. You can't say anything. If he gets on and they're like, you can't say anything, you can't say anything regardless. but they can't keep you from doing secret words facial movements. I like blink twice. Right, right, right. Well, we can't say that. He just has to do it.
Starting point is 00:14:05 Ooh, I got it. My code word will be Papa New Guinea. Are you going to remember that? Yeah. Why is that? That's very unique. What just happened? How are you?
Starting point is 00:14:16 Like, just walk us through what that might look like. So, hey, lunchbox, I've been thinking about going anywhere new? Ah, Papa New Guinea? Got it. Okay. Then we know. So if you say that, that means you at least got down to the front row. Right.
Starting point is 00:14:29 I got down to where I got to bid on. I don't know if they call it contestant row, whatever they call it, those little machines in the front. Oh, I can't wait. So like if you don't get on and Bobby asked you that question, you're going to be like, I don't know, Alaska. No, you can say you didn't get on. No way. He was missing the whole point. Popping your guine is just the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:14:51 I got the whole thing to be in code. And if you say, if you say, Papa New Guinea, that means you got on the front row. If you say, oh, oh, okay. If you say Papa New Guinea, that means you got on the show. If you say, Papa New Guinea, that means you got to play, you got to like, you went really far. That's a lot. Like the louder you are with Papa New Guinea, the further along you went. Okay, so it can't be, I was going to come up with a different one, but no, just Papa New Guinea.
Starting point is 00:15:16 No need to. No, New Guinea. Papa New Guinea. Okay. That's all you can say. Got it. And we can't even, we can't even react, but we can't even say that we know once it happened. You can just say, that sounds like a cool place.
Starting point is 00:15:28 But then, yeah. We'll talk to you tomorrow, but you'll be working from a studio in California. Yeah. And then tomorrow afternoon, his first chance to get on the prices right. And if for some reason he gets on and we're talking to him the next day, hey man, I know you're in California, but have you been thinking about going anywhere cool? Oh, Papua New Guinea. That's the code word. That's the code word.
Starting point is 00:15:46 Now, if he goes on the show and he, like, wins. No, if he goes on the show and he gets on the stage. Right. Hey man, you going anywhere cool? Ah, Poppy New Guinea. If he goes on and gets to the showcase showdown and wins the whole thing. Hey man, you've been anywhere cool? Papa New Guinea! But we can't say anything because we don't want to get him in trouble.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Everybody got that? You got it. Clear. All right, we'll get more tomorrow as he gets to California. Big day for lunchbox. He is joining us from a studio in Los Angeles where it's a. couple hours earlier there than where we are here. So you got to L.A. to do Price is Right. Well, just to be in the audience. I don't want our audience to think we've set this up. We do not
Starting point is 00:16:31 know anybody there. And do you know where you're going? Like you have the address already mapped out. I have the address in my email and I want to tell you they did email me. Price is Right. Send me an email. Saying? Saying, hey, you have tickets to our show. We can't wait to see you. Just a reminder. We moved the taping up till 1230, so it is 1230, no longer 1 o'clock. Just making sure you know. It's good. And you knew.
Starting point is 00:16:59 How did you sleep last night, knowing that today was a big day? I didn't sleep very well. I kept worried I overslept. I kept waking up. Check that clock. Okay, all right, all right. Go back to sleep. Oh, no, nope.
Starting point is 00:17:08 I didn't oversleep. Okay. So yeah, toss it and turning. Not really good. But hey, guess what? I'm on fire today. And you plan to get there. And is it outside waiting or inside waiting?
Starting point is 00:17:20 Do you know? It's outside waiting. you line up on the street. Okay, and you plan to get there at what time? I hope to be there because my taping's at 1230, so I'm hoping to be there by 11. And you're just going to get there and hang out with people, right, and show them how interested you are,
Starting point is 00:17:34 how curious you are, how much energy, how charismatic you are. Like, that's the goal. Yes, I'm going to start the wave right off the bat. We're going to go down the line. All right, everybody do the way. Whoa! Like at a stadium. And that really gets the crowd going,
Starting point is 00:17:46 and then we're going to start chance. Price is right. Price is right. That's fine. Okay. I mean, I would love that if I was in line. Yeah, I mean, that would be fun. But, like, are producers out there, too?
Starting point is 00:17:58 They're watching, probably. Okay, so they're going to see him in action. Is he doing those games he said he's going to do, like Price's Right games? In your pocket? Well, I'm not going to do those today. Those are the secret weapon if I have to go back a second day. Like, I wasn't able to get my items last night. I mean, I got here late, had margaritas, and I haven't had time to go to the store.
Starting point is 00:18:16 We heard. I would encourage you not to play the game what's in my pocket with people you don't know. Just a little. something that I know is that gets a bad game with people you don't know. Yeah. He gets you in trouble. I was going to do what's in the bag. As long as the bag's not in your pocket. I think you're good to go. Okay. Okay. So you guys can call us if you want. 877-77 Bobby. We got lunchbox in California going out today and we do not know we have no connection to the prices right. If he does not get on today, he goes back tomorrow, right? Correct. But tomorrow is also the Valentine's taping. Yeah. That's a tough one.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Because you don't have a partner. Is your wife going to go with you? No, she's not going to go. I didn't get her a ticket. I mean, I just got one ticket, so I'm really kind of, I don't know what I'm going to do. What? I thought we were working on, you know, him and getting a date. Well, yeah, yeah, dude.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Like, if you can't get his wife, does he get anybody? But I don't think he ever mentioned that he needed a ticket. We didn't think about that. It's not our job to think about that. That's true. But that's weird. They would sell single tickets for an episode that they're doing a double date They don't sell.
Starting point is 00:19:22 I mean, a couple's thing. Sorry, divvy out tickets. I think that if you're not a couple, you just don't get on the show. Well, what a ways. That's not good. Lunchbox, you have to find other single ticket people and couple of them. Today, actually. Today, be like, does anybody have a single ticket for tomorrow?
Starting point is 00:19:40 Let's fall in love. Good idea, Amy. And if you have it to fake, if it's a dude, you've got to fake it. It's worth faking it for a day with that person. It's Hollywood. Do you got to play the part? Yeah. Be like, hey, you want to.
Starting point is 00:19:51 want to see what's in my pocket. Yep, that's a good game. I want to do a game called what's in my pocket. Yeah. Pride Month, Toronto. Pride is an opportunity for you to create your own space, to celebrate your existence. IHeart Radio is proud to be an official sponsor of Pride Toronto Festival, and we won't stop. Celebrate Pride.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Turn up the love and listen to IHeart Pride Canada. Your 24-7 radio stream and the only playlist you need for your Toronto Pride celebrations. Pride is so great because it gives a whole bunch of people. people, this visibility that they've never had before. We have a ton to celebrate Toronto. Happy Pride! I heart radio. In the moment, it felt like it was going on forever. I didn't think I was going to live.
Starting point is 00:20:40 I was terrified. There was no anything inside those eyes. They turned black. It scared the hell out of me. That was your first murder case? Yes, sir. Fair to say this was the biggest case of your career? Yes, sir.
Starting point is 00:20:58 Rape a murder of a child. She's as bad as it gets. I would think so. Evil, wake up. I'm the woman saw the murder take place by Crevette and DePippo. Anthony DePippo
Starting point is 00:21:10 showed no signs of remorse appearing unfazed after being sentenced to the maximum. I said I'm not guilty. I'll take it to the grief. Listen to the devil's quarry on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts,

Starting point is 00:22:04 There's a lot of people who understand postpartner depression. I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Cic. Potby on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, listen up. The Jonas Brothers here. Our podcast is called, Hey Jonas. We're here, since everyone has a podcast, we want it to as well.
Starting point is 00:22:21 And we've had some incredible guests so far. And now our good friend, Nile Horn, is joining the show. How's it going, boys? Hey, Niall. It's the same thing with Slow Hands. Slow Hands is not about anything else, really, is it? You know, or taste so good can't be about food. You do the same, Nick, with some of the stuff that you've done.
Starting point is 00:22:36 You too, Joe. Drop what you're doing. and listen to Hey Jonas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Bobby Bones. Back with Lunchbox, who is in a studio in California, so far as he's tried to get on the prices right, he's waited in line outside, he's been brought inside, he has watched an old episode of Price's, right? He stood in line with nine other people talking to producers, and they've asked him,
Starting point is 00:23:06 what's your name and what do you do for a living? All right, take it away. Yeah, and so I just told him the truth. I said I do morning radio. here by myself and do you believe in miracles. Did you say do you believe in miracles? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:23:18 That's good. What's the miracle? That I'm finally there because for years, I was told I would never go and I finally winned. Okay. Yeah. People told you you'd never go. You were like, well, you guys always said, you say it, you never do it.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Yes, we encourage you to go. That's the opposite of being told that you can't do it. Oh. It's okay. It's all the presentation. Your narrative is, you're the little guy. You're the underdog. Yes.
Starting point is 00:23:43 Exactly. And then he moves on to the next person. A lady next to me is like, I was here yesterday and I told you I'm unemployed. But now I got hired. I got a job. And I'm like, well, that's a better story. Wait, so. That's really good.
Starting point is 00:23:59 Okay, okay, okay. He jumped off you in like five seconds? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay. So you got to at that point not be feeling great. Because, listen, how do we tell stories on the show at any point, there's a pivot. And he's like, oh, God, on the show. So did you feel like there was no chance you were getting on that day?
Starting point is 00:24:18 I didn't feel as great about it as I did walking into that room because I was expecting my charisma to take over and him to ask me like 10 follow-up questions. Yeah, like really just being thralled by you as a person. I got it. So okay. So then what happens? So then you go back to the other room and we're in there for another hour and a half. Oh my God. Dang.
Starting point is 00:24:43 Because it has to fill up, and so they have to go through that process. And I was number 35, and they had to get all the way to number 200. So did you have a pretty good seat? Yeah, I was on the third row. Well, this is just the holding room. This isn't even where you're sitting in the actual studio. Okay. So you're on the third row in the holding room?
Starting point is 00:25:02 Yeah, in the holding room. Okay. Pretty good seat in the holding room. Yeah, not bad. Did you have a bunch of energy in the holding room? Oh, yeah. I was working the room, talking to people. dancing, you know what I mean, doing everything I could.
Starting point is 00:25:14 Talking to all different groups, you know, oh, here you want your picture taking in that showcase showdown. Let me take it for you here. I was a faux dog minor in college, but making jokes. You lied about that? Yeah, that's why I used to tell chicks at the bar. Oh, okay. What?
Starting point is 00:25:30 A faux dog minor. A fauxog minor. Never heard that one. Were chicks into that? It's funny. They're like, oh, you take a picture? Well, you're in luck because I was a faux talk. So they think they're going to get some great picture.
Starting point is 00:25:40 Yeah, yeah. regular, a regular picture. Okay. Got it. So, yeah, what happens to that? When do you go into the big room? Oh, man. It felt like, let me see. I can tell you what time I took the video. Oh, here we go again. When he has to go digging in his phone for times? No, no, no, it's not that long. It was at 248 p.m. So you got there at
Starting point is 00:26:03 11.34 a.m. Okay, so three hours. Okay, that's not crazy, crazy. But it's long. Okay, go ahead. long and now you are not allowed to have water now you're not allowed to have snacks did you get water though in between that time yes I did I showed like six bottles of water okay is that because so you don't it sounds more like the special forces show that people go on on
Starting point is 00:26:24 Fox yeah yeah so the price is right go ahead so then as you're walking across the lot that's when you have to give up your phone you drop it in a bag they give you a number and here you go and then you walk in to the prices right studio and it was freaking crazy. It was so cool. Like you sit there and then you come out from behind
Starting point is 00:26:52 the back and you're in the back of the studio. So the stage is in front. The lights are bright. And there's someone standing there and she's got a little microphone on. And she's like, how many in your party? And I say one. And then she goes, you're going to go see Alyssa over here on the right. She's going to seat you. And I go up. And I go up. And I, I'm on the far right second row on the aisle. That's good. Where's Marilyn, by the way? You happen to see her in the room?
Starting point is 00:27:21 Maryland was row number one on the right front row right in front of me. Okay, awesome. You and Maryland reunited. It feels so good. So she was on the aisle too? Yes, Marilyn was on the aisle too. There was only two seats, and then I was in a three-seater, and there was two ladies from Fairfield, California,
Starting point is 00:27:38 celebrating the mom's birthday. They drove five and a half hours. Fairfield's up by Sacramento. Minow. I mean, got all the details, guys. Just you name it. I got it. Anybody in that audience, I talked to them, I got their whole life story. Okay. So, that room. How long from when you sat down in the room until Drew Carey walked out? I felt like it was about 45 minutes. A long time? Yeah. And was the energy high again, though? Because it's like you're at a new level. Oh, the energy is high. You are cheering. Everybody's screaming. And they got music pumping. They got boom, boom. They
Starting point is 00:28:13 got great jams just going on and drew carry comes out well no the guy that does the announcing comes out and tells you and the producer talks about how it's going to work we're going to count down drew we're going to come out we're going to cheer and he was like you may not be able to hear your name so they have a guy standing on the side with these big white pieces of cardboard yeah like cue card type thing yeah and he flips it down like the one with the x and there's someone's name and he said so if you don't hear it just look over here and that way you know to come on So are they like, okay, here we go, three, two, one. They get the crowd going and it's showtime.
Starting point is 00:28:47 Yes. And do you remember the first name that was shown on the card? I don't. That's what you don't remember the first name that was shown on the card? I mean. But you worked the room. You knew who went down there. And you knew who it was.
Starting point is 00:29:01 And where they were from. You were friends with Jonathan from Halifax, Ontario. Yeah. You're right. Yeah. But here's the thing. I didn't get people's first name and last name. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:13 I got their first name. And okay. Okay, I think he's playing his boys. You think so? I'm going to make the prediction that he, by looking at him, I think he's playing this right now, that I think he got called because he's doing, like, look at his face. He doesn't know what to do with his face. He doesn't know what he's confused.
Starting point is 00:29:32 Okay. Oh, my goodness. Obviously, he talked a lot and worked the room, but can you imagine if he actually made it on, like how loud he was being and that's why his throat is so messed up? Oh, my gosh. Great point. Amy. No, Amy. No, Amy.
Starting point is 00:29:45 Let me explain something to you. What? The whole hour, hour, 15, hour, 30 that they are filming the episode, everybody, you scream the whole time because they're doing camera cutaways, like, all right, we're going to go to commercial. And they're like, all right, we're going to do it like we're coming back from commercial. So everybody cheer again. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:04 You're screaming and just trying to be crazy because you want the camera to find you. I got to do a hosting here. We have like three and a half minutes. Oh, boy. Okay. So like soft chop? No, well, just following my pace here. So the first name they showed, was it yours?
Starting point is 00:30:17 No. How many people go down the first time? Four. Okay, the second name they showed, was it yours? No. Guys, I think he's playing this, though. You do? I do.
Starting point is 00:30:29 The third name they show, was it yours? No. He's not playing this? I mean, we got one more left. No, you don't. You have the whole show. On the first run. Oh, first run was four.
Starting point is 00:30:40 Yeah. Okay. Lunchbox, the fourth person they called. Was it you? No. Okay. Oh, all right. That's the first round.
Starting point is 00:30:47 How many people do they call in total? They call four, five, six. Nine, right? Yeah, I think nine. Yeah. I think that's right. Nine total? You weren't even there.
Starting point is 00:31:00 Listen, because I did a little research. Yeah, nine total, because when someone wins, they do, someone else goes out. They have to bring someone else up. Oh. Lunchbox, were you fifth? No. Okay. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Were you sixth? No. All right, we got three spots left. That's okay. He could be the finale. And he can say that he went up, right? I don't know what he can say. Oh, I thought he had to say like, I went to Portugal. No?
Starting point is 00:31:27 No. I don't know. We haven't talked to him. Lunchbox, were you seventh? No. He took a breath. We got two spots left, and not only that, if he is to get on the final two spots, that means he has less opportunities to actually get on the show, too.
Starting point is 00:31:44 That makes it more difficult. Lunchbox. Were you? He's smiling. He's smiling. Come on, lunchbox. Where? Look at him.
Starting point is 00:31:57 Let's go, baby. He's laughing. Let's go, baby. Ask him. Were you? The eighth person called? No. Oh.
Starting point is 00:32:07 Why'd you do that to us? So at this point, lunchbox, there's only one spot left. Are you? I don't want to be called. Right. I don't want to be called at this point. You don't want to be drafted in the last. in the seventh around the NFL because you want to pick your team.
Starting point is 00:32:17 You want to bet. So he doesn't want to be drafted at this point. Okay. Lunchbox. With that ninth call, did you get called? No, some girl celebrating a birthday game. So you did not make it. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:30 Did you have fun? Oh, my God. It was a blast. It was so freaking fun. Even though you didn't get called. Well, I mean, just the energy and the excitement and the anticipation of my name being called. But I didn't. it on. And maybe, like, re-evaluating my scenario, maybe I was too much.
Starting point is 00:32:56 He finally realizes it. It clicked. We had to stop because. We talked about this. We don't know if he got on yesterday. He'll check in later. Do we think he got on the show? Like, really? If you had to bet money, someone said, here's a free $100 bill. Do you think he got on the show? Amy?
Starting point is 00:33:18 I'm going to say yes, because I'm trying to just be positive about the whole thing, so why not? But what do you really think? Yeah, that's what I really think. So, but someone gave you, okay, a free $10,000, that said bet on it.
Starting point is 00:33:32 Bed on it? That money can only be used for betting. So it's not about a positive mojo, no sort of vibes. It's just, if you're right, you get $20,000. If you're wrong, you lose it. What do you bet?
Starting point is 00:33:44 So if I say he didn't get $20,000. Someone gave you $10,000 to bet. I know, but you said I get $20,000. If you win. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Why is everything complicated? You just win the bet. You just win the bet of $10,000.
Starting point is 00:34:00 But you can't keep the $10,000. Betting's hard for me. I know. So what would you bet? I'm still going to bet on him. Okay. Eddie? Look, man, I'm going to be realistic.
Starting point is 00:34:08 And you're giving me $10,000 to bet on it? I'm saying he did not get in. Okay. Because? Just because. I think that he was so confused about what to do and how loud to be and how not to be. I think he just didn't do it. I would bet he didn't get on, but not because of anything to do with him.
Starting point is 00:34:26 All I'm doing is going with. They only pick eight or nine people from that entire group. I'm just using data here. I think if it's just personality, they're looking for a wild and crazy guy, like he's the guy. He's wild and crazy. He is. Yeah, but again, nine. they take nine people out of 300
Starting point is 00:34:45 Yeah that's I mean yeah the numbers are So I would bet no And we have secret words that possibly he can say later in the show if he did get on Because the heavy favor is no Yes Because of the numbers But you can have low numbers But you can actually lift a percentage like if you're so undeniable
Starting point is 00:35:01 Because that's You factor that in is he so undeniable Is he I don't know Ramundo what do you think would you bet on it Well if I'm going the way they do it on game day You never want everybody to say no or everybody to say yes. She's already said yes and we've said no. Right. It just seems like it's heavy weighted right now. It's two to one. Right. You guys are saying no. Yeah, it's two to one. It's really not
Starting point is 00:35:23 that heavy weighted. I think he gets on. Okay. A version of it. That makes no sense. So where he gets called down. Got it. But then doesn't take advantage of the opportunity. Correct. That would be, that would be a nightmare for him. Yeah. I think he'd rather not get called down. I would rather not get called down than to get the call and then bomb. We're talking about Lunchbox. It's day three of him going out to California, trying to get on prices right. Day one unsuccessful, day two unsuccessful. Day three, he was feeling it and went all to the process.
Starting point is 00:35:53 You're in the room. They start to play the music and they start to call people up. Yeah. And so are you the first name they call? No. Wait, how many are there again? Well, they call four or five in the first round. Four.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Yeah, and it's nine total. I'm just preparing myself for you being how many you're going to do. Were you the second? Yeah. No. And they're doing the board underneath the camera. Correct. Can you actually hear the names?
Starting point is 00:36:22 No. Because everybody's just screaming. It is so loud in there, just screaming and yelling and clapping and cheering that you literally don't hear them call a name. So you're just watching them. Is it like a bunch of cards and they flip one to the next? Like they've already gotten them all pre-written? Yeah, they have it. They just flip one down.
Starting point is 00:36:38 And you're just hoping your name is on there. You are just hoping to see your name. Who am I? Yeah, and you, me too. And you got your name tag on? Yeah, you got your name tag on your left side, like right here. Me too, because I get him three days off to go do this. And we've dedicated a lot of time.
Starting point is 00:36:52 And he was 100% sure he could get on. I still feel, I still feel like he's got a shot, though, here. What do you mean? I'm still there. Like, we've only called two names. That's what I'm saying. Wait, what? That's what we just said.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Yeah, yeah, we're good. They're going to call seven more people. That's right. Okay. They do number three. Is it you? No. All right.
Starting point is 00:37:11 How are you feeling at this point? It's okay. It's just the first four. It's the first three. First three. Okay, how about four? No. Okay.
Starting point is 00:37:19 Now, that's four. So the first four is down there, though. So now they're all singles after this, right? Yeah. Were people going crazy when they got their name called? Oh, my gosh. Were you jealous that they were so? Yes.
Starting point is 00:37:29 Yeah. I mean, I would have been. And you're high-fiving everybody, like, when they run down the aisle and around them and everybody acts so excited for them. But deep down, everybody in that studio had to be thinking. I was thinking, crap, that's one less spot for me. You had told us last week while you were in California that you were just happy to be in there and playing that day one.
Starting point is 00:37:50 You were like, it didn't matter if I got on the show. I was having such a good time. Are you feeling the same thing now, day three? After the first four names were called, no. That is when it hit me like, oh no. Like, I have five left. I have five shots left. Like I have been through 13 and I only have five left because nine the first day and four that today.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Like I am, that's when it hit me when they started bidding on that first item up for bid. And I was just like, oh my gosh. It's a real possibility. I'm not going to get on. And it's the first time that's set in even though. Yeah. You got it. Because your personality is freaking oozes charisma.
Starting point is 00:38:33 Ouse's awes awesomeness. I thought I was a no-brainer. Shoe in. shoe in. Same. First overall draft pick as soon as they start picking people. 100%.
Starting point is 00:38:42 Got it. I was 100% before I left for L.A. I told you guys, I am 100% no doubt getting on this show. Did when you didn't get on day one make you think maybe you wouldn't get on any other day though? I just thought maybe I was too much with my cell phone.
Starting point is 00:38:58 Yeah. Was there like a ratio again? Were you looking at like men versus women, white guys, black guys? Yeah, I think it was. Hispanic guys. Like, you know, because they like to have a mix. I think the first four on the third day were two men and two women.
Starting point is 00:39:13 So it's 50-50. How many whitties? One white. Perfect. You're still in the mix then? Yeah. Nobody wider than you. Right.
Starting point is 00:39:21 No one whiter than me. Well, one white male, one white female. Okay, okay, you're still in. Yeah. Okay, so fifth person, it's time for that one, that's single. Finn. Come on, baby. Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep.
Starting point is 00:39:33 And? And Jasmine Torino. No. Not me. Okay, Gelsman. Uh. So, five down. Only four to go.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Only four to go. The odds are forever not in your favor now because that's more than 50% of the day. Yeah, it's starting to shrink. Okay. Are you starting to feel a little miserable inside? Now I'm starting to, I'm not cheering as loud. Like, I am, like this sucks. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:02 Next name. Next name. Not my name. What number was that? That would that be number six. We have three left. Okay. Do you feel like the- And also his demeanor in the room is changing.
Starting point is 00:40:15 Oh, I know. I know. And they see that. But they've already picked the names. I don't think they're switching names while everybody's in the room. No, I mean, in this room, right now. Yeah, but he could be luring us into something. Okay. Okay, you have three names left? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:30 So then they call the seventh name. And that individual was sitting right in front of me on the row in front of me. No way. Two names left. Dang. Also, it also gets tough because if you're one of the last two names, you don't have as many opportunities to get up on stage. Correct.
Starting point is 00:40:47 Oh, boy. Okay. Yeah, like he said on the first day, if he had been at this point, he wouldn't want it. He didn't want to get it. Right. Yeah. But on day three, I didn't care. I just want to hear my name.
Starting point is 00:40:56 I just want to hear my name. So it's that eighth name. But can I just say deep down at this moment, when it's the row in front of you, like the seat in front of you, I think I'm not getting on. Because you're, they've been picking. from all over, right?
Starting point is 00:41:09 So they're not going to pick two red next to each other. Any other white men? Yeah, there was one more white male. I think he was number eight. The next person up was a white dude. Okay, so there's one more left. So now we're at number nine.
Starting point is 00:41:24 You got one name. So nine and a white guy just went right before him. And that white guy wasn't you? No, it wasn't me. But he didn't have a tux on and lunchbox did. Were you the only tucks in the room? Only tucks in the room. Only tucks in the room.
Starting point is 00:41:35 Only tucks in the room. Ninth name. A lot of first. A lot of, A lot of graphic teas with slogans and pictures. Everyone does that. Number nine, feeling fine. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:41:45 Let's your last shot. You only get one shot. And so, they have that ninth card. Come on, baby. Now, I'll just let you say what you want to say. I don't know how to set you out because I don't know what you know. So go ahead. And that ninth name, they flipped down that card.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Yeah, yeah, yeah. And it says, Samantha. Come on, Dan! Definitely not Samantha. And she jumps up and she runs up there and she has a shirt on that says, Hey, Drew, let me spin the wheel like my mom. And it has a picture of her mom from like the 90s spinning the big wheel. I was like, that's a creative shirt.
Starting point is 00:42:30 Like a family tradition. And then I sat there in my seat. Yeah, so how much fun is it once you know you're not getting on? Oh, I'm ready to leave. You can't, though, right? No, you can't just leave. Like, there's nowhere to go. So how long is it?
Starting point is 00:42:47 Ah, man, I sat there for another 30, 35 minutes. Must it felt like a week. Were you miserable? Miserable. So what was the worst part about it that you didn't get on it? You have to come back and tell us you went and took a three-day vacation that was for free, not even taking it from your vacation days. And you didn't get on the show after you, for sure, we weren't going to get on the show.
Starting point is 00:43:04 And told us we were stupid for saying it's harder than it looks. I mean, it's a combination of both. It's a combination of not getting on. And then I was like, I'm going to have to go back with my tail between my legs and tell these people that I did not get on. And everybody that called in and was like, I hope you don't get on. They got their wish. And I am just like.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Not that many people said that. I don't remember anyone. Not a single person rooted against you. Honestly. We had callers that were sharing their experience. To help you. Yes. It is like.
Starting point is 00:43:39 Not one. Not one person. I don't recall that. In the weeks leading up to this said they didn't want him to get on. It's funny how he sees that. I know. It's like his is a little filter. Sorry, man.
Starting point is 00:43:47 Yeah, you were not coming on down. You were getting on out. All right, let's box. Get on out. Oh, man. So, yeah, man, price is right. Yeah, shout out. We'll continue this.
Starting point is 00:43:58 But, hey, April 2nd, that one will air. My birthday. Oh. For my birthday, you didn't get on. So March 31st, you can see me in April 2nd. You might be on. camera. That's what I'm saying. You still got to watch. We still got it. We still, I mean. Can't wait to watch you as an extra. On your birthday.
Starting point is 00:44:15 On my birthday. I'm a birthday. Making plans now. Big day today. I almost forgot. This is day one of lunchbox getting on prices right. Yeah. Oh, wow. Today. So 31st. Yeah. Today's it. What time locally? 10. Where we are? Okay. We'll still be here. We may be on YouTube at that point doing the show live. No, we have a client meeting. Oh my God. We got a client meeting right at 10. Well, they want to come in and watch Price's right with us? Yeah, that's a good idea. Maybe. I have a theory that Lunchbox gets on the show.
Starting point is 00:44:45 Hey, would you play that voicemail, Ray, please? I have a theory on the Price is Right. I think that Lunchbox gets on the second day. He wants to watch the first day for his audience participation, and that he gets on the second day. I think this is a bit because I think the best bit that I have heard from you guys is when Abby said that she had found diamonds when they were out digging for diamonds. and she had everybody fooled. I thought that was a fantastic bit. So I think he's trying to up that.
Starting point is 00:45:10 Anyway, have a great day. Bye. For those that don't know what's happening, so lunchbox months ago said, hey, can I get off work to go try to get on prices right? Me? Being the ever so loving leader I am. I said, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:45:23 Go. And don't worry about taking vacation days. Just call us. We'll make it into a couple segments. So he goes out for multiple days. He stands online all day for the first day. He says, I got him, but I didn't get on. We're like, oh, we were sad for him, but he had other days.
Starting point is 00:45:38 He goes on the couples day without a partner, and they kick him out. Well, yeah, because that just wasn't going to work. It was Valentine's episode, and I didn't have a plus one. Then he goes back for the third day. I didn't get on. And we're like, dang, that was fun. You had a good experience. But I started to think he couldn't tell us if he got on.
Starting point is 00:45:56 And this would be one of the greatest bits ever if he got on. He got on. I mean, I'll be so impressed. Me too. Man, you nailed it. And my birthday is, let's say he doesn't get on today. My birthday's Thursday. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:10 The day that he gets on if he doesn't get on today. What a gift would that be for me. What a gift. Oh my goodness. Lunchbox, that would be amazing, man. So we're going to watch to, oh. I mean, it's giving employee of the year vibes. Oh, for sure.
Starting point is 00:46:24 If he pulls this off? You know what's crazy is I told you that Maryland girl that I got her number? Mm-hmm. She is the screen grab for YouTube. For today's price is, right? Yeah. Tune in today. There she is.
Starting point is 00:46:35 text to me and she goes look I made you two y'all still text yeah she's 80 she's 80 because she got called up she got called up did you no he's looking at me lying he's so weird how are you so close to maryland who got called up
Starting point is 00:46:52 you guys are probably like i got called out too I wish I was a screen grab she was in line like around me like there's a group of like 40 or 50 that you're in line with that you sit in chairs and you move to each stage with and she happened to be the row in front of me and she was there with her daughter and her mother. Well, her mother, she's 80?
Starting point is 00:47:10 She's 80, but her mother's pearls. That's what she brought her mother. She was there in spirit. Yes, her mother had got up there with Bob Barker, and so that's what she said, and she goes, so I'm here to get up there with Drew. Her mom got up there, really? That's a great story.
Starting point is 00:47:23 Yeah, that's how you get on. She had a picture of her mom with Bob Barker on the front of her shirt, and it was her and her daughter on the back, and she said, I'm here to meet Drew, and she had her mom's pearls, and she told that to the, director and I was like genius. Oh yeah we started to say live about a story. Yeah
Starting point is 00:47:38 yeah yeah okay so I kind of hope it's not today but I do hope it gets on but we have a client meeting and we have interview recording right after that and how we'd watch it Hey did he get on uh prices right we've been in freaking meetings and interviews Oh anybody watch it anybody see him in the crowd lunchbox? I didn't think about that if he was really going to be on it he would figure out a way to like make us well I mean we wouldn't Amy and I had a meeting for
Starting point is 00:48:02 half an hour with a client I didn't know you guys didn't like put it up on Your phone or anything? No, I was editing videos. I didn't think about it. Lunchbox? Did you watch for yourself in the crowd? Did you see if you're in the crowd? I don't know how to watch.
Starting point is 00:48:12 I don't have that ability. Let me check my DM. Did you see anything, Mike? Nah. I tried to watch it, but who was blocked on the internet here? Oh, really? Yeah. It says, lunchbox got on the prices right.
Starting point is 00:48:25 I'm watching today's episode, and he's on it and got on stage, and he got on the final showcase showdown. Is someone just messing with you? Rachel Campbell messaged me that my DM. Lunchbox, he just. You get on? No. Why are you acting so calm?
Starting point is 00:48:38 This is weird. I don't know. I mean... Wait, is it April 4? What day? Tomorrow is. Did you see Daniel on the price is right? Who's Daniel?
Starting point is 00:48:47 Oh, he's Daniel. So what happened? Look! Look on the left! So which one do you hit? I never said I hit. No, someone just said you're on the showcase showdown. Oh.
Starting point is 00:48:58 Did you hit? What did I hit? Lunchbox, you made it on there? Did Jimmy Chew shoes? Did Jimmy Chew's shoes? No, no, no, that wasn't it. I won a trip to Temecula, California. That's what I hit on.
Starting point is 00:49:11 On the intro part? On the intro part. Yeah, on that row. What game did you play? I played two right, one wrong. And they have three prizes. Do we have that? No, we don't have that yet.
Starting point is 00:49:21 No, we don't have it. We'll have it tomorrow. Pride is like love. You feel it in your heart. IR. Radio. Canada's number one streaming app for radio and podcasts, including IHart Pride, Canada, your favorite hits, and must have.

I didn't think I was going to live. I was terrified.
Starting point is 00:50:06 There was no anything inside those eyes. They turned black. It scared the hell out of me. That was your first murder case? Yes, sir. Fear to say this was the biggest case of your career? Yes, sir. Rape a murder for a child.
Starting point is 00:50:22 Just as bad as it gets. I would think so. Evil, wake up. I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Crevent and DePippo. Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse, appearing unfazed after being sentenced to the maximum. I said I'm not guilty. I'll take it to the grave.

And that was more difficult. There's a lot of people who understand postpartner depression.
Starting point is 00:51:29 I was not prepared for postpartum anxiety. Listen to Joy 101 with Hoda Kotby on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. All right, listen up. The Jonas Brothers here. Our podcast is called, Hey Jonas. We've here, since everyone has a podcast, we want it to as well. And we've had some incredible guests so far.
Starting point is 00:51:46 And now our good friend, Nile Horn is joining the show. How's it going, boys? Hey, Niall. It's the same thing with Slow Hands. Slow Hands is not about anything else, really. Is it? You know, or taste so good, can't be about food. You do the same, Nick, with some of the stuff that you've done.
Starting point is 00:51:59 You too, Joe. Drop what you're doing and listen to Hey Jonas on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you listen to your podcasts. Bones show. Bones. All right. You know how good it feels to get that off my chest? Were you getting annoyed when I was predicting you were on it? Yeah, I was just like, shut up.
Starting point is 00:52:19 Like, I was trying not to bring it. Shut up, man. I was trying not to bring it up anymore because you can. guys had left it in the past, like, because I, I was a loser and I sucked and, like, I didn't get on. And I was like, great. You know what I mean? It's cool. Like, the less we bring it up, the less more I got to lie and you got to look at my facial expressions and that was great. It's pretty cool, man. That's awesome, dude. Congratulations. Tomorrow we'll have a lot more to talk about and think about because again, this is, I was confused of who Daniel was,
Starting point is 00:52:47 honestly. This is not April Fool's joke because we talked about it on the podcast yesterday, but Lunchbox did make it on the price is right. So not an April Fool's joke. You had a viewing party? I had a viewing party last night. It was amazing. So many people is so loud. I mean, we had to turn the subtitles on
Starting point is 00:53:04 because I thought the kids wouldn't want to watch it, but all the kids came in and they wouldn't shut up. So a little bit of spots blown up because you hear his real name again. Yeah. And he hides that. So just so everybody knows, his name's, I'd never heard him called Daniel before.
Starting point is 00:53:17 Just Dan. Because yesterday, we literally didn't think he got on. I thought, Maybe he got on. It was a bit. But I really still didn't think he got on. And so during the podcast, people started messaging me. And they said, Daniel got on the Showcase Showdown. And I'm like, I don't care who's Daniel. We want Lunchbox to get on. And that was lunchbox. And so this is them calling down Daniel, right? This is the first time I've heard it. Okay. Oh, you haven't heard. What about at home? It was so loud that I couldn't even hear it. He saw the subtitles. I saw the subtitle. Got it. Okay, here you go. The price is right. Daniel Chappell, come on down. So you were the first one out of the gate. First one out of the gate.
Starting point is 00:54:08 That's insane. How, like, relaxing. And maybe that's not. How much of a relief is it? Huge. That you were the first one out of the gate. Huge. Because when you're sitting in the audience before
Starting point is 00:54:18 and you're talking to everybody around, you're like, man, I just hope I get called. I hope I get called. Oh, my gosh. And they start the show, and it's like, there's no way you're going to be the first one. You never think you're going to be the first one. And they said it, and I still didn't even know I was the first one.
Starting point is 00:54:31 And then they did the cue card under the camera. Oh, you couldn't hear that either. No, because everybody's screaming and everybody's jumping up and down. And I sat there and I looked at the name. And it took about a second. And I was like, that's me! And the lady in front of me, Marilyn, she turned around before I even noticed it was me. And she was like, pointing at me.
Starting point is 00:54:52 I was like, oh, that is me. And I went crazy. So, okay, they call, how long are you sitting there before they call any names? 35 minutes. It's a long time. Because they got to shuffle all 215, 220 people into the studio and they have to tell you where to sit. So there's a lady at the back and then there's two people in each aisle, one in each aisle. And they'll say, go see her, she'll tell you where to sit.
Starting point is 00:55:16 And they boom, and they put you where, and they spread you out because I guess they want people to get called up from every section of the crowd. and so they don't want all the people getting called up in one section. That makes sense. I think this is 10 out of 10 that lunchbox kept it a secret from at least us, the listeners. I have to know, did he keep it a secret from y'all too? Did you really have no idea? This is just so great. Great comedy, guys.
Starting point is 00:55:42 Wonderful job. No idea because I wouldn't have revealed it, how I revealed it, if I had known. There'd have been a massive buildup to it. We were literally doing the podcast live on YouTube yesterday. You can watch the clip. Nobody thought he got on. And I'm going into my DMs because we had one, we had a client meeting right at 10 when Price is Right started, right when the show ended.
Starting point is 00:56:04 Then we went into an interview at 1030 to 11 that we recorded. Then we went back and did the podcast. And I was like, oh, did anybody see lunchbox in the crowd? And I thought there would be pictures of lunchbox in the crowd. And that's when people were like, Daniel got on the show. Okay. Who the craps Daniel? So all of that played out live on the podcast yesterday.
Starting point is 00:56:21 We had no idea. No idea. He didn't say anything to us. No, and here's the thing. Before I went, we talked about this, guys. You guys said, hey, I know you're not allowed to say. So when you come back, we're going to ask you if you want to go travel anywhere. And I was going to do Papa New Guinea.
Starting point is 00:56:40 I forgot. Papa New Guinea. I remember that cut. Papa New Guinea! I didn't want him to reveal it. I didn't ask him that on purpose. Because whatever it was, I wanted it to be regardless, him in the crowd or him on the show. I'm surprised.
Starting point is 00:56:51 I swear if you would ask him if he's traveling anywhere and he said Papua New Guinea, I'd be like, cool, when are you going? I did not remember that. So you go down and you're on contestants row. Correct. And a little bit of this we did yesterday, but it was such a blur. So I'm going to ask again, if I'm asking twice, I'm a dumb, dumb. You go down and how many games did you lose before you actually got to go up? I lost three games.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Were you starting to give up? I started to panic. I started to freak out that I am about to choke this opportunity away, that I was the first name. out of George's mouth. That's his name? Yeah, that's his name. That's his sidekick? Yeah, he's the one that does the announcement.
Starting point is 00:57:28 He's up in the little booth. And I was like, oh, my gosh. And I literally sat down while they were doing one of the games. And the guy sitting in the front row, he's like, I was like, dude, I'm choking. He goes, are you lunchbox? And he started freaking out. He's like, I'm here. Me and my wife got tickets because you guys were talking about it.
Starting point is 00:57:43 And he was like, you'll be fine, dude. You made a contestant row. Who cares? And I was like, no. He goes. That'd have been the worst. Because we said that. If you made it to contestants row and didn't make the stage, that would have been worse than not making it.
Starting point is 00:57:51 I agree. And he goes, yeah, Bobby may give you a hard time. And then I looked at Maryland, my 80-year-old friend, I said, what am I doing wrong? She goes, you're not looking at me for help. And I said, okay, I'll look at you for help. And we stand back up and they said, and Drew says, George, give me another name. And he says, Maryland, come on down. Were you sitting in a place in the audience that you felt was advantageous to getting down there quickly?
Starting point is 00:58:16 I mean, I was on the aisle. Oh, Seattle felt like, oh, I'm on the aisle. This is awesome. But there are so many aisle seats. Yeah. Anybody else from the aisles get called down? Maryland. Classic Maryland.
Starting point is 00:58:28 She was right in front of me on the aisle. And no, no other aisle people. I think they were all a few seats in. You didn't watch the show after everybody left by yourself? No. Your house? Because I think I would have spent a minute with it. Did you watch the clip that?
Starting point is 00:58:42 I mean, we all reposted it last night. Did you watch that clip? I've seen that clip. Yeah, but even in that clip, it's not like, I wanted the part of Daniel, come on down, and it wasn't in there. Do you wish they would have let you do lunchbox? Yeah. Wait, why wouldn't they?
Starting point is 00:58:55 It's all name. You can't do nickname. Did you ask them to? Big Hog. Come on, dad. Like, we get to pick our nicknames on the show. Well, I don't know. It's school.
Starting point is 00:59:04 They say, what do you want to be called by? This ain't school. Yeah, they just take your ID and they write what's on the ID. Interesting. The trip is a trip to Temecula California, man. He hits that. He does the $1 thing over Maryland, his friend. He turned on her, man.
Starting point is 00:59:20 You got to be ruthless. When you are there, you're there for yourself. I mean, you met these people an hour ago. He goes up, and this is him talking to Drew for the first time when he hits at, what, like, $641 or something? It was $6.51. No, it was $1,000. Oh, I have no idea. $2501.
Starting point is 00:59:40 That wasn't in the clip. Oh, well, I thought with Maryland she said $6.50, and he went $6.51. No, no, because the trip to Jamaica to California was like $3,300. She bid $1,249, I believe, and I bid $1,250. Oh, she gave you that dollar hole. Yeah. Numbers are hard. Something like that.
Starting point is 00:59:56 This is lunchbox going up to talk to Drew Carey for the first time. That's great. Where are you from? Where are you from, bud? Nashville, Tennessee. Nashville, Tennessee. What do you do? I work for the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:00:06 We're a morning radio show, and I came by myself because this has been a dream. And do you believe in miracles? Are you like the sidekick guy? Yeah, I've been to jail for the show. I am shocked. Ha ha ha ha ha ha. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:00:32 That's awesome. That's a funny laugh. This poor guy. Give him something good. Got to beat an 80, Daniel. Good luck, buddy. I mean, his laugh. That's so good.
Starting point is 01:00:46 Play me a voicemail number four because we run out of time. I want to make sure we get to the big stuff here first. Lunchbox, the first name called and made it to the showcase showdown. Most entertaining episode of The Price is Right ever. I can't believe he made it on. Bobby, I can't believe you called it. This deserves employee of the year. I did not call it.
Starting point is 01:01:10 I suspected how he was acting because he wanted to avoid it, that something happened. that something happened. So a few weeks ago, I was like, I think he made it. I wish I wouldn't have said that. Well, even your suspicion, I was like, no, I don't know why Bobby's acting like he pulled this off. There's no way.
Starting point is 01:01:25 If we would have known, this is another thing. If we'd have known, I would have never started to predict that he made it. Because I would have wanted it to play out better. Oh, yeah. But for me, I'm going, I think he made it because if he didn't, that was a fun bit too, that we waited up until it, and then he didn't get on. So you went on and the game was where I saw a part of the game.
Starting point is 01:01:41 There were like three things. Yes, there was three items. There were three pairs of Jimmy Choo Shoes. a home gym and a desktop computer. And there was three prices. There was a price in front of each item. Two prices were correct. One price was wrong.
Starting point is 01:01:56 And I had to pick which one was wrong. And I win all three. Bad, Drew, I wish I worked out more. But I'm about to start working out when I win this. Give me number two. Number two. Devon Goda. Anything with 4,000, 120, 80s.
Starting point is 01:02:12 So we're ready. One, two, three. You got it. Yes. Yes. How did that feel? Oh my gosh, it was so great. It was so great.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Like, it is so cool to win the game. And then you gave one of the girls a hug. I did. I ran right after the girl. So in the last segment, lunchbox got called down very first. It took him three rounds to get up on stage. He hits the game.
Starting point is 01:02:33 And now it's where you grab the wheel and you spin the wheel. And because you'd won the most, you were third. Yeah, because the other two lost. So I was the big winner for those three games. I got to spin last. And so he had to beat 80 cents. Oh, that's. They both had hit 80 cents.
Starting point is 01:02:47 That's the great part of my going third, right? You get to see what other people do. Yeah, you know what you need. Okay, so here's lunchbox spinning the will for the showcase. It's two different spins. You got to beat in 80, Daniel. Good luck, buddy. Daniel's lunchbox, by the way.
Starting point is 01:03:04 You want to say hi to someone? Yeah, I want to say hi to my three boys, my wife, American, all my dogs, back at the crib, mom and dad, brother and sister, nieces and nephew. Let's go. Give me a dollar. 85 is going to sue. 30. One more spin.
Starting point is 01:03:17 Oh, okay. Pause. Pause. What are you thinking when you only got 30? I'm thinking this is going to take a miracle. This is going to take a miracle. What did it almost land on? 85.
Starting point is 01:03:26 Oh. It did like the wheel. Yeah. And you know what I first thought? I was like, I don't have good luck with wheels. The wheel in the studio always lands on me. It gives me bad luck. It gives me nightmares.
Starting point is 01:03:38 PTSD. And so I was like, man, I could have just had once been done. But now, here we go. We need a miracle, folks. You need at least 50 to go to tie. Yep. 55 or more to win. Yep.
Starting point is 01:03:50 Here we go. $85 is going to sue. 30. One more spin. Please. 50. Come on. 60.
Starting point is 01:03:57 70. 60 for a 90. 60. Stop. Stop. Right away to the showperts of the 90. Oh, my gosh. 60.
Starting point is 01:04:06 All right. Let him scream. You got a bendy. Oh, my God. So you're allowed to have a donut. With you're on a diet. You might have a donut. Help yourself.
Starting point is 01:04:15 You just got a bendy on the wheel. Check us out on Facebook. We're at the prices right. By the way, he's in a full tux. Just so you can visualize it, it's in a full tux. But when it got to 60, it went all the way through the 60 and all the way up and all, and then came back down. Like, it was an inch from clicking over to 15 cents,
Starting point is 01:04:34 and my life would have been curtains. It would have been over. Do you think the wheel was heavier than you thought it was, lighter than you thought it was? Lighter than I thought it was. Because you probably gave it a big heave-ho and it went... Yeah, because I saw the one lady in front of me, she fell down because it was so heavy.
Starting point is 01:04:46 And I was like, oh, and I thought Marilyn and they were worried she was going to need help, but she did a great job. And then I got up there, I was like, oh, I did it. Because I always worried, man, what if I don't get it all the way around? That would be embarrassing. Yeah, that would be embarrassing. Okay, we are now at the Showcase Showdown,
Starting point is 01:05:01 and we're going to, I'm going to give you a brief recap of what he told us yesterday. He gets on. You're against a woman. What does she win? She won a trip to Banff. Oh, that's cool. Canada, Canada. Okay, so Lunchbox is playing this woman,
Starting point is 01:05:15 but she had won a bigger thing than he had won. Right. So she gets to decide in the showcase showdown and they're like, here's a trip to Thailand, here's a trip. And she's like, pass. Yeah, it was a trip to Thailand, a trip to Greece, a trip to New Orleans. She passed it to Lunchbox. So Lunchbox is Showcase Showdown in a tuxedo, one of the two people up on stage.
Starting point is 01:05:31 And so this is Lunchbox guessing the price of those three trips, right? That's this clip. Right? There's no reveal of the numbers yet. I think so. Oh, you didn't pull the clips? I didn't pull the clips, man. Just hit the clip.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Daniel. Come on. You also bid 32,000. Oh, yeah. Wait, this is the end one. Okay. Okay. So you had bid on those three trips. How much? $32,000. And her, it was a couple crappy things. It was like a bunch of old, you know,
Starting point is 01:05:59 T-shirts, nostalgic t-shirts. What else was it? Pac-Man arcade game. And then the big one. Four DVDs and a brand-new Ford Bronco. So she was waiting for the car. Yeah. Because she wanted the car. So what did she bid on that? $32,000. And her number came up and it was.
Starting point is 01:06:16 41,000 something. So she was off by 9,000. But she was below, so she's still in the game. Yes. And you know what it's funny? I'm just go ahead. No, tell me what's funny. I'll tell you after. I'll tell you after.
Starting point is 01:06:29 Okay, so she's still in, but he's bid on his trip. $32,000. So as long as he doesn't go over, pretty much, he's going to nail this. All right, hit it. Daniel, you also bid $32,000 for a trip to New Orleans, strip to Greece, trip to Thailand, actual price. is 31,301. Just over.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Just over by $699. Sorry, man. Ah, you missed it by $699. He was closest, but he was over. That is hard to hear. Oh, man. And then what did he do? Did they show you falling on the ground?
Starting point is 01:07:10 Yeah, I collapsed, man. They show it? Yeah, they showed it. They showed it. So what were you about to say then? The funny thing is, after we bid, there's a break because they got to go with them back and get all the cards and everything. And she looks at me and she goes, what did you bid? And I said 32,000.
Starting point is 01:07:26 She goes, oh, no, I definitely lost. She goes, because I bid 32,000. You're going to win. She thought she had lost. Interesting. And so in my emotion, I was like, oh, my gosh, I just won the showcase showdown. When she bid 32,000, I also thought, oh, it's curtains, boys and girls. I am going on an airplane.
Starting point is 01:07:45 How does it work? Like she did 32,000 and then you guessed. Did you know she had guessed? I guessed first. Oh, you guessed first. Okay. Because I was like, that's weird. They guessed the same thing.
Starting point is 01:07:53 Right. But it was devastating, man. Okay. I don't think it should be devastating. You got on the stage. You gave yourself the best opportunity and then you won. You won the mid-level. And then you won the win.
Starting point is 01:08:06 We'll spend. Yeah, this is so epic. Maybe lunchbox you will now realize like the world isn't against you. And let me tell you, I play the entire game. That is your goal. The goal is to win, but I got to play every step of the way, and it was amazing. And you know what's crazy is when the credits were rolling for the first time ever, and Price is right?
Starting point is 01:08:28 They had a camera on me side stage. They showed me, like, devastated. I didn't know the camera was, I was, because they take you off the stage. You were devastated? Like, I was just back there going, oh, because it was $600. And I didn't know it, but you watched the show, and as the credits are rolling, they get away from the winner and they show me backstage like covered my face for the first time in history. How hard was it not to tell people?
Starting point is 01:08:54 And how do you know first time in history? Someone on line said that. Okay. How hard was it not to tell everybody? So hard. So hard. I had to come up with like ideas on what I was going to say. Like to you guys, the next day when you're like, so what happened?
Starting point is 01:09:10 I was like, man, I've got to have a story about the next two days of what I'm going to tell them. and what's going to go on and in my head and like, how did it go down? And so I just, and I saved a few pictures like, and I waited to post and I was like, all right, this is, you know, when I'm here day three. So that way I'm not going to have my phone out as much because I didn't want to give it away. I was just so hard. I mean, every day I thought someone was going to say, hey, man, should you really get on? No, man, no.
Starting point is 01:09:39 And people ask you all you guys, bring it up. Callers leaving voicemails. I'm like, gosh, stop leaving voicemails. please because the more you bring it up the more someone's going to look at me did you like that we were tied up when the show was on yesterday no well because again we had a client meeting right when the show was on locally so we didn't we weren't able to watch it because we and then we went right into that and something else and so i didn't even check if you got on which again i was just looking for crowd pictures of them in the crowd until like 11 we're still up here doing the on our youtube page yeah no i wish you guys would have we could have turned it on watched it live yeah yeah
Starting point is 01:10:14 because your reaction would have been phenomenal, phenomenal. I see that. It also sounds like he's going, phenomenon. We will talk more about this today in our part two podcast, which is only on the podcast feed. Where does this rank in your life moments? Number two.
Starting point is 01:10:34 Behind? Prom king. No, this can't be behind Prom king. This is better than Prom King. You've got to move on, dude. Move on. We don't get to pick your order. You get to pick your order.
Starting point is 01:10:43 And if that's your instinct, your instinct is, Prom king, then stick with it. But it was, I gotta be honest. To hear Drew Carey laugh like that when I was on stage, like that was pretty awesome. I bet that's first time in history. Like he was keeled over like. Yeah, he was.
Starting point is 01:10:57 Does he use a small mic, like Den Mike, like Bob Barker? Yeah. Is that like an homage to Bob Barker? Like he still uses that because Bob Barker did. I think it looks better on TV too. And they said, oh no, this is what they said. I remember them saying this. They use it because a big mic is intimidating.
Starting point is 01:11:13 They found a lot of people got. scared, like tensed up when there's a big mic, when it's very small and thin, like small mics. It's not as intimidating. That is awesome. It's crazy. The whole, how the whole thing played out. Did you even go up for double day? No.
