Welcome to Tuesday's show.
Morning studio.
Morning.
A man gets six months.
for groping a flight attendant. It was a flight from Cancun to Miami. And I read the story not to go,
ah, look at this guy. What an idiot. But I'm also reading stories that they're about to bring
alcohol back to these flights. It just seems like now's a bad time to bring alcohol back.
Because there's another story every day about somebody going berserk on a flight,
punching somebody, getting taped to a seat, groping somebody. And we think now,
hey, well, how about some whiskey, guys? Let's add some whiskey to the flight here. It just seems
like it's already crazy to go up in the air
now. And the fact they're wanting to
add alcohol, I get it. But
Eddie, our flight's lacking
alcohol. You know, I've changed
my thought on this because at the beginning, I'm like
what? Like, we're flying. You need a couple
of beers when you fly. It's normal.
But then as soon as it got taken
away, I've flown a couple times. I'm like,
it's not that bad, guys. It's only an hour and a half
flight, maybe two hours. You can do
without the drinks. So now I'm kind of like,
they've been gone for a bit. Everyone's fine.
Let's just keep it this way.
Well, I would say not everyone's fine.
Maybe everybody's fighting because there is no alcohol.
That's what I was thinking.
I was like, wait a second.
Did it like, I know that alcohol tends to make people behave in ways they wouldn't,
but also does it make them just chill and like calm down a little bit, possibly?
No, I'm going to blame that on COVID and people just not getting out.
And then all of a sudden it's like, I'm released.
It's like Ella, when she escapes, she runs all over the place, just left right,
darts all around.
That's what people are doing on airplanes.
They were like, we're released.
Let's go crazy.
but one, they're bringing alcohol back and two,
this guy's going to go to real jail
because of what he did in an airplane,
like groping somebody.
There's also a story about a guy in Alabama
who feeds his squirrel meth.
It's an attack squirrel.
Have you heard about this, Amy?
No, not at all.
A guy was arrested a couple years ago
for keeping and training an attack squirrel
by giving it meth,
and now there are new charges.
He was originally arrested in June 2019
in charged with possession of a wild animal,
stolen property,
weapon by a felon, but he gave the squirrel, which he's named these nuts.
Stop.
Stop.
Stop.
That's his name.
One word.
So it would be more aggressive and attack intruders.
The squirrel gained national fame when all of these articles came out.
I mean, the squirrel looks as cute as can be.
It's not his fault that somebody's given it meth.
But he says he's had the squirrel since he was a baby.
I'm looking at this squirrel.
He got a fat belly, though.
Of course.
I mean, the squirrel looks like a hedgehog, huh?
A big old fat belly.
But imagine you go into someone's house and you get attacked by a squirrel.
You'd be like, what is happening right now?
I also wonder if you can teach squirrel's commands.
Dogs, he can, obviously.
Yeah, like attack.
Or does it just attack anyone that comes in?
Or when he lets it free, does it just attack who's in the room?
I don't know.
You get it addicted to meth.
It'll probably do whatever you want it to because it needs it.
He needs meth.
That's from CBS Austin, the attack squirrel story.
I do have on the phone right now, Scott in Pennsylvania.
Yeah. So I wanted to say thank you for introducing me to Blank Slate.
The game Blank Slate, yeah.
I used that to propose to my girlfriend or my now fiancé.
How'd you do that?
So what I did is I used a random card.
I had my little sister crossed out one of the words because she has better handwritten to me.
And I had to put will you once the card came up and said, well, you make me.
marry me or what it said, will you, everybody turned their card around and faced it towards her
and said, marry me and I got down on one knee.
Oh, that's pretty good.
Yeah.
I wanted to say thank you because I would have never even thought of about doing that until
you used talk about that game, Blank Slate.
Well, that's pretty cool, man.
I appreciate you sharing that story.
And congratulations.
That's awesome.
How do you feel being an engaged man now?
Thank you.
Honestly, I still feel the same, you know, but it's because I never, I never treat it different.
You know, I don't treat her different.
You know, we both love each other.
So we do, but we go on about her day.
And that's just, it's cool to see that, you know, we're going forward in the wedding.
And the wedding is not going to be until next year, but, you know, planning for a wedding and all that stuff.
It's kind of fun doing that kind of stuff.
I mean, has there ever been more romantic words than, you know, we just go about our day?
I feel the same.
Hey,
you know,
I love her to death,
but I continue.
I'm the type of person.
I just continue to do what I do.
You know what I mean?
I do what I got to do for my family to make sure,
you know,
they got a roof over the head,
but on the table and stuff like that.
And, you know,
we're going to continue to do that.
You sound like a solid guy.
I just would never say,
hey, listen, I love her butt.
I would not,
I'd keep the butt.
That's what you,
I love her, but, you know, I would say I love her and.
That's what I would work on.
I love you and because I used to do I love you, but, and that didn't work out for me very well.
All right, hey, thank you.
I use butt a lot.
I really do.
I get told us to stop saying, but it's a sorry word in my vocabulary.
All right, buddy.
Hey, I appreciate you calling, but we got to go.
Got to go.
All right, thank you guys.
All right, see you.
All right, thank you guys for hanging out.
Let's go over now and open up the mailbag.
You send an email and we read it on the air.
It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag, yeah.
Hello, Bobby Bones.
I've been with my wife for nine years,
have only been married for about one.
She recently got a tattoo without telling me.
She told me previously, she was thinking about getting one,
but no details were discussed.
She just shows up one day for the tattoo.
Should I be upset?
I don't want to be controlling.
But I wanted to, one, be there with her,
and two, I would have liked more of a discussion than what occurred.
She didn't even tell me the morning enough.
She could have said, hey, by the way, I'm getting a tattoo today.
She admitted after the fact that she didn't want to tell me
because she did not want to discuss it with me.
What are your thoughts?
How would you and Amy feel if your wife or husband showed up with a tattoo?
That's from Adam.
Amy, you can go first.
Well, I would feel hurt too, but then I would probably have to take a look at myself
and realize, okay, what environment have I?
I created to where my own husband can't even feel comfortable coming to me with something like a
tattoo to talk to me about it. So I think in my personal, not expert opinion, you need to like
look in the mirror and be like, oh, wow, I clearly don't have good communication with my wife
right now. We need to fix this. So you go to her and see what you can do. In my expert opinion,
she didn't want to hear what you had to say because she doesn't like to hear what you have to say most
the time Adam. So say better things. She didn't feel that supported. I don't think she ran off and got
a full dragon tattoo up her thigh because that would have taken a long time. I bet it was something
small. Yeah, but Adam, you're not presenting an environment that makes her feel comfortable to talk
about stuff like this. It sounds like it was brought up, but she did not like what you said about
it then. So she just went and did it. That's what I would say about reading this. Because he said,
she told me previously she was thinking about getting one. When that's there, and then she didn't tell you
when she got one, that means she didn't like what you said when she was thinking about getting one.
Would you agree with that, Amy?
Yeah, and I think that this scenario, sometimes things happen in relationships, and then it gives
you a perfect opportunity to, you know, pivot and go a different direction in your relationship.
And this is your opportunity.
Take it. Seize it.
If not, then there's resentment and he builds and then blah, blah, blah.
And then you're in real trouble.
Well, full honesty here.
Caitlin did get a tattoo without telling me.
She showed up and was like, I got this tattoo.
That's right.
And it was a four foot tall witch.
Okay.
You're covering her whole body.
No, it was a little bee on her arm.
Exactly.
It was a little bee on her arm that she wanted to get as a surprise for you of, hey, look, like, I now am permanently, like, will remember you every time I look at my arm.
And that's why I got the teardrops under my eye tattooed on.
Oh, no.
As a surprise to her because I've killed seven people.
Yes.
Adam, it sounds like whenever she first mentioned it, she didn't like what you said about it.
So she did not feel comfortable taking you with her.
I think there is a communication issue.
Maybe not one that runs through the entire relationship,
but it is a good time to look and see if that's the case.
Amy made a great point.
Thank you.
I'm just curious at what tattoo she has.
Because I think if it were something super cool and sexy and cute or whatever,
he'd have been like, yeah, it's great.
And he would have needed to email the show.
He must not like the tattoo.
We got your email and we read.
on the air. Now it's about
to close Bobby's mailback.
Yeah.
Austin in Bakersfield is on the phone.
Morning studio.
Morning.
What's up, baloney boy.
Okay, that's me.
Let's not start that.
Let's not start that.
He has a question for baloney boy.
Yeah, go ahead.
Sorry, coach.
I had a question for Eddie.
So, whatever happened with your school friend
that you messaged, did you ever get a response back?
That's interesting because you were just looking for a kid
you went to elementary school with?
No, no, no, it was summer camp.
It was like a weird juvie summer camp.
I went with a friend.
What do you call it?
Juvi?
It was like,
it was like,
it was weird because my friend Pepe,
who was like said,
hey, come to summer camp with me.
And I thought it was going to be a fun summer camp.
But it was like a camp for like Jew people that are in trouble.
So it was like,
I mean,
we had a strict bedtime.
They were like,
wash dishes.
It was crazy.
Your summer camp was for criminals?
I got tricked.
And I remember coming back home.
Your parents sent you to a summer camp for criminals?
They had no idea.
My parents were like,
was it fun?
I'm like, no.
it was terrible.
But while I was there, I met this kid named Jules.
Cool kid from New Orleans.
We were friends.
We hit it off right away.
And then he moved back to New Orleans.
And I said before he left, it's like, hey, let's keep in touch with like, you know, pen and paper.
We'll write letters to each other.
He said, okay, that's weird.
But we did.
We wrote like two letters back and forth and then never heard from Jules again.
And have you heard from him since?
No.
I found like a couple Jules on Facebook.
I messaged them.
One guy was not Jules.
What do you think Jules was, though, really?
Because I'm sure he's going by that now.
Julian?
That's what I was thinking.
Julian.
So he's not going by jewels anymore, you don't think?
If they can't find a jewels, I don't know that an adult would go by jewels.
Okay.
So maybe I should search Julian's in New Orleans.
Julianians and New Orleans.
Stop, it's tough, man.
I've heard nothing back from the other jewels.
Hey, Austin, I'm glad you called because I didn't know Eddie went to juvenile detention camp.
I didn't mean to.
I was a good kid.
Did your parents have to pay for that?
Yes.
They paid for you go to jail camp?
Apparently my friend Pippa, he was always in trouble, and so his parents knew he was going to that jail camp.
But then he invited me, so I'd go with him.
camp though.
Like why would you have to pay?
I would think that's where if people are sent.
No, they called it a camp, but it was very strict for trouble.
How long did you go?
A week.
And you had to like...
It was brutal, dude.
We had to shower together.
It was brutal.
It was like jail.
I've never been to jail.
I don't know that it was like jail.
Hey.
I've never been to jail, but that's what I pictured jail being like.
So scared straight.
I guess.
So you wake up in the morning.
Crack a dawn.
Okay.
And then what happens?
And then we have to go shower.
All of us.
Why?
In the same shower.
Why?
Big room, all shower.
It was crazy.
And then we had to go to a church chapel thing service for like an hour.
And then we would go do games, like team bonding games where we had to like just be put together.
So far this sounds like camps.
Go ahead.
Yeah.
And then after that, we would do another prayer service.
And then we would go like life lessons where we'd go in a seminar like a conference center.
And we'd all just go through like, all right, here's a scenario.
A cop pulls you over.
What do you do?
No way.
You stuff like that.
Yes.
And you're like, I don't know.
He put your hands.
People were trying to be funny.
You run away.
No, Jules.
Not the right answer.
So it was just kind of teaching you how to be a better person, I guess.
And then what happened with the evenings?
We would watch a movie.
Usually like, I don't know.
I mean, I remember one movie, stand and deliver.
Remember that movie?
It was like about troubled kids.
There you go.
Another movie about trouble kids.
But why?
Suddenly it's not sounding so bad.
It sounds like church camp.
I thought you were going to be like painting houses.
Like a minute ago, he's like it was brutal.
We had to do this.
We're playing games.
And now it's like...
You all showered together in your regular church camp?
I didn't.
Well, I don't understand that part.
It was weird, man.
And it seems like it was all the theme was, don't go to jail or be a better person.
Yes, that was the main theme.
The theme at Spring Lake Church Camp for me was, except Jesus and live Jesus' life.
Not get in trouble.
Not what do you do if God pulls you over?
Great the cops away.
Yeah.
But, okay, so you haven't found Jules yet.
I have not found Jules yet.
All right, Austin.
I appreciate that call because I also was looking forward to that update.
All right, cool. Thanks, guys.
All right, buddy.
Hey, speaking of baloney boy, which he did call you,
what happened with your son?
It's great.
No, we were at a restaurant.
So we were all sitting there.
It was me and my boys, my four boys.
And, you know, you say, hey, don't bother people while they're eating.
I guess this guy didn't hear that memo because we're eating there at the restaurant.
He comes up to me.
He's like, hey, Eddie.
And I go, oh, cool, listener.
What's up, dude?
I just waved to him.
And he goes, hey, question real quick.
Sorry to bother you while you're eating.
They serve baloney here?
And I'm like, dude, really?
And my 14-year-old sons are right there.
And I said, okay, yeah, I guess he heard about your baloney story.
And he goes, you told my baloney story on the radio?
And I'm like, oh, no.
So because of this listener who tried to be funny while we were eating dinner,
now my kid's, like, embarrassed that everyone knows the baloney story.
For those that don't know the baloney story, Eddie punished his kid by making him eat only baloney sandwiches for weeks.
Yes.
Until he got his grades better.
Yes.
And so now Eddie's known as baloney boy.
And people, if you see Eddie in public, yell, hey, baloney boy.
No, no, no, no.
That's hilarious.
Absolutely.
And don't miss the big picture here.
My son has better grades now because of it.
Yeah, yeah.
Was your son more annoyed that you told, like, that he had to eat bologna sandwiches or that his grades were bad?
He was more annoyed about the bologna sandwiches.
Oh, okay.
He's actually fine with the bad grades.
He doesn't care about the bad grades.
All right.
Thank you for the call.
Thank you, guys.
The latest from Nashville and Hollywood.
Morgan No. 2's 30 Second Skinny.
Luke Brian is headed out on his Raised Up Right Tour.
Special guest Riley Green, Mitchell Tenpenny, and DJ Rock will be joining him.
The tour kicks off in June and tickets go on sale this Friday.
Marin Morris shared the chorus of her new song, Background Music,
that will be on her album Humble Quest, coming out on March 25th.
Here it is.
Jason Aldeen remembered what his high school time was like.
My class was really small.
I think my whole graduating class was like maybe 50 people.
You know, we all knew each other.
all friends. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news.
With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. There's a new hair salon for kids in Michigan.
It's called Sharky's Cuts for Kids. And the kids love it because they got cartoon characters
all over the walls. The chairs are really cool. And they give lollipops and all. But what's
really, really cool about this place is that every time a kid gets a haircut, they get a charity token.
And so the kid gets the token and they get to choose from four charities. And they say,
I want to give to that charity.
So it gets some kind of involved in charity work early while they get their haircuts.
Remember when Amy took your kid to like a bar, like a whiskey bar to get a haircut?
Do you guys remember that?
Yeah, like scissors and scotch.
What did they do?
You get to pick a shot.
You're a kid, you get to walk up to the bar and pick whatever shot you want.
I saw that place, Amy.
That's what reminded me of.
We were driving by it and it says scissors and scotch.
It looks like a bar.
It is a bar.
And I said, Amy took her.
son there. He's like, how old is he now, nine? He's 11. Oh. It's been a long couple years.
And were there people drinking? Yeah, so I didn't know Scotch stood for Scotch Scotch. Like, I thought,
I don't know, maybe the person that owned is. Scotch tape. Scotch tape. Yes, like there was so, it never
dawned on me. It was just a convenient place to go and get a haircut. So I walk in and it's literally
a bunch of men sitting at a bar. And I was like, okay. And I felt awkward.
going up because I thought they were going to ID my kid to get his haircut.
Well, he's 11.
There's no ID that can convince him.
I know.
I was like, oh, no, this is going to be so embarrassing.
They're going to be like, why would you book your child a hair appointment here?
And I thought they were going to ask for ID.
But sure enough, everything's fine.
We went and checked in, and then the haircut places like right behind the bar.
And his haircut was good?
Yes, it was awesome.
We're going to go back.
They were drawn.
They were cutting his hair.
And he grew a beard afterwards.
All things aside, it was a good haircut and a good place to go.
Absolutely, yeah.
And Eddie, that's a great story.
Good job, buddy.
Thank you, most.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
We're about to have Maddie from Maddie and Tay on.
Maddie and Tay have had two number ones,
die from a broken heart and girl in a country song.
And we're going to have Maddie on without Tay because Tay just had a baby.
So Maddie's going to come on and promote the record,
but Tay just had a kid if we talked about it on the show, saw it on social media.
And Maddie is on now.
Here we go.
On the Bobby Bones show now.
Maddie and Tay.
Maddie, how are you?
I am good.
How are you?
Doing pretty good.
Usually it's you and your partner.
Tay is not with us because she just had a baby, right?
Yes.
We, or we.
She birthed a child last week.
I feel like we because I've been in there.
I've been to the hospital so much.
But yeah, it's like she birthed a baby last week and now like an album is being born.
So there's so much going on.
It's literally chaos.
and I think I jinxed us with the album title through the madness.
So never naming that again.
And I'm a little reluctant about volume two
because I don't know what kind of chaos that one's going to bring.
And we're going to talk about the record in a second,
but it is out.
It's called Through the Madness Volume 1.
You mentioned being at the hospital.
Have you been up to the hospital since she's had the baby?
So she, Tay is actually home.
She was on bed rest for a little over a month
and literally couldn't move.
like it was really, really, really hard time for her.
And, you know, for me just watching my best friend go through something like that.
And you just feel so helpless.
But she is doing great in recovering like a champ.
And baby Layton is doing great and getting stronger every day.
So everything is good.
It was just a month of tears, really.
So why through the madness?
Why did you name this record that?
So the song Madness,
was kind of our North Star of the whole entire project. The hook of the song is,
I'll love you through the madness. And I, you know, was thinking, I typically name the albums just
because it's one of my weird things that I like to do. And I just felt like through the madness was a
hopeful title when you hear the song Madness. Like I'm, I'm hoping that when people hear this
project that it's like a musical hug. I feel like everyone needs that right now. And
And this is, it's not like the last project where there's a lot of heartbreak and hardship
songs.
It's definitely more a hopeful, happier project.
I do want to play a little bit of track four, Grown Man Cry.
This is from Maddie and Tay.
Here you go.
So when you guys get in the room to write this song, who's the girl that can make a grown man cry?
which one of you two were taking that that narrative there you know i wish i was that cool girl
but it's definitely tay she's the cool one of the two i'm the like heart on my sleeve was not the
hot chick tay is always the hot chick she would disagree but i think um but that song actually i got
the song title because i was talking to my sister-in-law um and we were talking about um her friend
and you know just this breakup or whatever and then the guy had literally been crunched
like months after the breakup because he was so heartbroken,
which I know guys don't really cry in general,
which I think is like not cool.
It's like every human needs to cry.
But and I just thought, man,
that girl that he was with must be something special
because she made a grown man cry.
And I just took that title and kind of made this character
that I wish I was,
but I'm just not the cool leather jacket girl.
I wish I was.
I like to pretend I am and that song gives me that minute,
it, but I'm not her.
I think you're super cool.
I think you're super friendly.
I think that's what cool is.
Cool is not trying to be cool.
So in that, you know, yeah, I'm a big dork.
So if that is what makes you cool, then sweet.
Do you still have chickens?
Oh my gosh, Bobby.
I have a really sad story for you.
I don't know if I'm up for a sad story, Maddie.
Okay, okay.
So we moved to this new house, right?
We're out in the woods.
And they were doing great.
The first four months, it was just my three chickens.
They were laying eggs, living their best country lives, had more space.
We're out in the woods.
So happy, right?
We get these four new chickens.
And they start causing havoc, trying to jump the fence, teaching the other chickens how to get into shenanigans.
It was just horrible.
So basically, it's the new four ones fault.
They all got eaten one night.
Literally, yeah.
All seven or just the four new ones?
No, all seven of them.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, it was indebted.
Then me and Jonah went hiking on our property and we found the freaking foxhole with chicken feathers.
It was terrible.
I literally Bobby woke up one morning.
I woke up to go get my eggs like, oh, da, da, da, da, da, that I go get my eggs.
And there's just feathers all over the yard.
And I'm like, oh, my God.
And I definitely cried.
Okay.
You know, those were like my babies.
I love those little chickens.
Then I'm scared to ask the next question because I can't take any more sad animal news.
Your dog, Emmy, is it still?
She, okay.
She is still good.
and crazy and so fun.
Thank God.
And you know what,
Emmy,
it was so sad
because she was like
the mama of the chickens.
They would follow her.
It was so sweet.
And she seemed like really sad
for like about a week.
You know how you can tell
when dogs moods are different?
Like I don't know if y'all's dogs do that,
but I can tell with Emmy
that she was like,
where are my babies?
Well,
that's still kind of sad.
Like I thought we'd go to somewhere
but now Emmy's sad.
I know.
Maddie's sad.
I'm a little sad.
I know.
But you know,
the chickens, they did have a great life.
They lived a whole year,
which is normally longer than most chickens.
So I always try to find the silver lining,
but it's just messed up, man.
That box is a real jerk.
Give me something then.
Let's do, give me a sad.
I need to get rid of the sadness.
Give me your favorite sad song from the new album
Through the Madness.
Which one should I play a clip of right now
and then go listen to after the show
when I think about this interview?
Okay, because I know how much you love Lori McKenna.
I would say the other side.
It's a hopeful song, but it makes me cry.
Okay, there we go.
Let's think of chickens that have just been murdered and listen to the other side.
Even more sad things about dead chickens, God.
Oh, no.
Maddie from Maddie and Taze on with us.
They have a new album out to, it's out now called Through the Madness Volume 1.
Your 10-year high school reunion's coming up.
Are you going to go?
Oh, my gosh, Bobby.
I didn't even think about that.
Well, I ask because, you know, we know each other.
I know about what time it is.
You know how old do you are?
Absolutely not.
I am not going.
Why would I go back?
Okay.
Have you seen yellow jackets the show yet?
No, but I need a new show.
So tell me why I should watch it.
Well, they go to a high school reunion.
But what happens is when they're in school, there's a plane crash and they have to survive
in the woods.
But it's, you know, they go back to their high school reunion, which, as I was thinking
about that, I was thinking about you.
Why would you not go back to your high school reunion?
Okay.
This sounds so ugly and rude, but I'm just.
going to be honest, I don't have a lot of, like, relationships that I still care about from high
school. Like, my one best friend, Brandy, and maybe a couple others, but, like, there's just no one,
I'm sorry, like, time is precious, and I don't want to spend time talking to a bunch of people
that I don't plan on talking to again. You know what I mean?
Class of Maddie the chicken killer, am all right?
I'm sorry, but I just, like, I don't know. I don't understand this reunion. It's like, this is
a part of life high school. It sucks. Everyone hates high school. Why are we going to go back to it?
You know? I feel a bit like you do in that high school was tough for me. However, I don't think
every, like Lunchbox and Amy loved high school. Love high school. I mean, I was probably.
You guys were coolish though. We were in the crowd. No. No. I was the girl that everyone's like,
oh, she wants to be Taylor Sliff and she's not cute enough to make it. So she'll never do anything.
I mean. Yeah, I understand having, yeah, if you didn't have a good experience. And you say,
look at me now. That's the whole point of going back
because everybody when you go back is going to want
to talk to you and be like, hey remember when you called me you want to be
Taylor Swift and then you give him a big
slip on the thing. Oh, but see,
Lunch Fox, I'm too, like,
in the moment, I'm too nice.
I'm like, I know you a-hole
was talking to mess about me back the day, but I'm
just going to smile and pretend like I don't want
to punch you and then that's hard, you know?
Okay. We've gotten to some pretty
we've gone in depth here on a few things
with Maddie from
Maddie and Tay, who's on now, the record
is out through the madness volume one.
Do you have an angry song of these tracks?
Do you have a song that evokes emotion the opposite of sadness here?
Yeah, I mean, okay, I feel like it's like a little angry.
Wish you the best.
That one, I call it my sparkly middle finger to your ex.
Like, it's a nice way to be like you have the best thing you could ever get and goodbye.
So I would say maybe that one.
Here we go.
Here's Wish You the Best.
Which is the best bet you've already had it.
Look at that.
Isn't that?
I literally, I call it the boom roasted song.
I don't know if y'all are office fans or not,
but I just feel like that is the ultimate boom roasted in your face song.
Boom roasted.
That's a good one.
That's a good one.
Okay, well, before we go, let me say,
I do know that you and your husband just had your second wedding anniversary,
your marriage.
Wedding anniversary?
Is that we called?
Yes.
Oh, thanks.
So what's the deal with you two?
We feel like we're going to make it forever now or what?
we are definitely going to make it forever.
It's been 12 years of being together.
And I still like even last night,
we were just sitting outside having a glass of wine.
And I just looked at his face and I'm like,
damn,
you still are fine and you're smart and hot and wonderful.
Like I feel like if you can dig someone for that long forever is like good to go.
Do you say that to him?
Yes, I do.
I like to pump my husband up.
But let me tell you,
there are days.
Like last week,
it was a, I don't know if y'all have this in marriage where it's like, where you're just not on the same wavelength and you're just duking it out like just every day.
It just gets worse and worse.
And then finally it's like, ah, what is going on?
And then it settles back in and you're back on the same wavelength.
I hope that's normal in marriage.
Amy, do you have that?
Yeah, it's not like literal dukes, but yes.
Oh, do you mean literal dukes?
Not literally.
And then he went out and killed the chickens.
I put it all together now.
It's all coming together.
I've solved the crime.
Now it's like a lifetime movie about a chicken massacre and I'm loving it.
Well, I'm going to end with this.
This is track number one, what it's like loving you from Maddie and Tay.
Here we go.
Look at you say what you're thinking. Do I got to read your mind? Does your heart fall faster?
Does it take it sweet time?
Look at that. We went through the whole album, telling stories, weaving it in.
It's like a- Yes. That was so, Bobby, well freaking done helping us, you know, share this record.
Yeah, that's what I do.
That's what I do.
That's why you get paid the big buck.
Maddie, great to talk to you.
I always love when you're on the show.
You are an A plus guest.
I tell you that every time.
Congratulations.
You are A plus human, all of you.
And I love y'all.
And hope you have a wonderful rest of your year.
I'm probably going to see you, hopefully, with Tay soon.
But yeah, thank y'all for having us.
And thanks for digging into the record.
I really appreciate it.
Through the Madness, Volume 1 is out from Maddie and Tay.
And that is Maddie.
And now we'll clap.
And that's how we end the interview.
So it's not awkward.
Yay.
Bye, Maddie.
And bye, Maddie.
Love y'all.
Bye.

Let's go over and talk to Kelly in Wisconsin.
Kelly, appreciate you calling on.
What's going on?
I was just calling to give you a little story about Walker Hayes.
All right.
He performed at the palace in St. Paul this past weekend, and afterwards they walked to their hotel just down the block, and they got ready to go to the pool, and they walked by the gym, and Walker Hayes was working out.
And the girls got all excited.
My daughter said, just leave him be.
And they went in the pool, and Walker Hayes came into the pool to thank them for allowing him to have his space and workout, and then offered to take pictures with all the people.
people in the pool. He did with the girls first, and then the moms, and then the dads,
and then talked with them all. So the kids felt like they were really treated special by him
specifically on their birthday weekend, which is super cool for a celebrity.
That's pretty cool. Anything like to happen to do lunchbox? Yeah, when I was going home for
Christmas, we stopped at a hotel and Little Rock, and I mean, the lady working the front desk
recognized me next morning and breakfast. This guy sitting at the table next to me with his family,
He goes, hey, man, this sounds really weird, but are you lunchbox?
And I was like, yeah.
And he's like, I knew it.
I told my wife, it was driving me crazy.
And his kids were all excited.
And I was just like, all right, man, man.
I talked to them, took a picture, you know.
And I poured some milk on his kids' Cheerios.
It was great.
You did?
Did you make that last part up?
About the Cheerios?
Yeah, but the kid was eating Cheerios.
I mean, it makes you feel better.
Kelly, we appreciate you calling.
Thanks for sharing that with us.
Let's go to Anna in Illinois, who's on the phone.
Anna, how are you?
Good morning.
Morning.
Oh, my gosh.
I just had to call and tell my radio friends that I am engaged.
Oh, wow.
Congratulations.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
How'd it go down?
So he took me to Chicago.
One of my favorite things to do has always been to go to art museums, and I love the Chicago
art museum.
We walked around afterwards and went to Zabine, and he had photographers hiding, and some of our
friends were hiding, and it was just like this whole big thing.
and I was so excited.
And I love listening to you guys,
so I just had to, like, try.
I've never tried to call before,
but I thought, hey, what a time to call.
That's awesome.
So how long have you guys been together?
Four years.
Well, about time, huh?
Am I right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Dang right.
Well, congratulations, Anna.
Hey, we're about to play a game.
Would you like to play a game
since this is the first time you ever called?
Yeah, I've got time for a game.
Yeah, let's go.
Let's go.
You and Amy can team up on this.
We're going to do the famous firsts.
Sweet.
Here we go.
February 1st.
All right, let's see if you can answer questions about the famous firsts.
All right, you'll get five questions.
Get four out of five.
You'll win.
All right, who is the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean?
You guys can talk about it.
Anna and Amy.
Who was the first woman to fly across the Atlantic Ocean?
Anna.
It was Amelia Earhart.
Amelia Earhart, right?
Boom.
We agree.
Lock it in.
All right.
Amelia Earhart's locked in.
Is it Amelia Earhart?
All right.
In math, what's the first digit of pie?
Three.
Oh, shoot.
Yeah.
Pye's 3.14.
So I guess the first digit, I'm just making sure it's not a weird trick question.
But three.
Okay.
Yes, three.
Lock it in.
Somebody's been training for easy to you.
For sure.
The answer is three.
Yeah, there you go.
Three.
Correct.
All right.
Who was the first vice president of the United States?
Oh, John Adams.
Yeah.
Right?
Okay.
because George, because then he ended up being president, I guess, after that.
So, lock it in.
Amy, you can let her answer any question or?
Oh, yes.
Sorry.
Okay, you can answer the next one.
Well, I wasn't sure because I'm a first time to work.
John Adams is correct.
There you go.
All right.
What are the first three words in the Constitution?
Anna.
We the people.
Amy?
I believe that is correct.
We the people.
We the people.
is correct.
Good job, Anna.
Hey, Anna.
When the sun goes down on my side of town
is the first line of what 90s country song?
Goes down on my side of town.
My team on my door.
Oh, shoot.
I'm going to need Amy Feld.
Okay, it's neon moon.
Neon moon.
That's correct.
Good, good.
By Ronnie and Dunn.
Hey, Anna, it sounds like you got a little sing-a-voice on you there.
I do. So I actually went to school for vocal performance.
Oh, okay. Okay. And what would you sing as, I don't know, when you're final? I don't know, how you get a grade doing a vocal performance in school.
Oh, well, I had a recital and I had like, I had to sing arias like in German and Italian and that kind of thing.
But I was in church music. Right now I'm a supervisor at Starbucks.
No, no, no, good for you there. But I want a little German.
Oh, sorry.
I need a little, I don't know, what Aria in German is.
Oh, you want me to sing something?
Give us a little bit of that. Come on.
I don't know.
You want me to sing something else?
Yeah, sing whatever you got.
We want to hear something from your heart.
I'll fly away, oh, glory.
I'll fly away.
Somebody keep going.
You know what?
We believe you.
That's pretty good.
That's pretty good.
We put her on the spot.
Well, let's say this.
Anna, congratulations.
since you just got engaged.
What a lucky guy he is.
And you just won a game.
And we really didn't have this game
planned to play with a caller.
But since you called,
we're going to send you a limited edition.
Well, it's not limited edition.
We just have a bunch of beanie babies
in a bag behind my desk.
And I'm going to send one to you.
Okay.
That's awesome.
Oh, my God.
That's so funny.
All right.
Congratulations, Anna.
Stay on the phone, okay?
Okay.
All right, bye-bye.
All right, this month,
here are some new shows that are coming out,
either brand new or shows that are coming back.
Housewives of New Jersey out today.
That Pam and Tommy docudrama on Hulu,
which is Pam Anderson and Tommy Lee.
You can watch that.
It's a little too early in the morning to say what some of that's about,
but that's out.
They look just like them, though.
Have you seen the pictures of the actors, Amy, look like that?
Oh, yes.
Totally looks like them.
It looks like them.
Yeah.
Sweet Magnolia Season 2 is out on Netflix on Friday.
The Super Bowl is on Sunday, February.
13th, and then also that new
Fresh Prince of Bel Air,
which seems way dramatic.
Have you seen the preview for that?
Not at all.
It's modern day America.
It's Will Smith's complicated journey
from the streets of West Philadelphia to Bel Air.
There's no laugh track.
It could be really good, but it just has a completely
different feel to it.
On Friday, February 18th, Marvelous Miss Maisel comes out.
Killing Eve, season four, which I love season one of
Killing Eve. I just never got back into it.
Did you ever watch that show, Amy?
started it and it didn't go anywhere.
It's like The Walking Dead.
It's out season 11.
Oh my.
I stopped watching that at season six or seven, and it was my favorite show at the time.
But it just got too dark.
And I don't mean thematically.
I mean, like, I couldn't see the people.
They were in rooms that were way too dark, and I just like, I can't see what's going on,
so I'm just going to not watch it anymore.
And then Law and Order, season 21 is out.
That seems like something you would watch, Amy.
Is it?
I mean, I dabble in it from time to time.
And then American Idol's out on February.
27th, but who cares, right?
Yeah.
Just kidding.
I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
A Golden Girls' Kids' book is coming.
It's launching in June, and I'm so excited about it.
I'm sure any parents that love the Golden Girls, like when you have something fun and
awesome that you actually like to read to your kids at night, it just makes it a win-win.
And it's a bedtime story featuring Dorothy, Blanche, Rose, and Sophia.
Do you happen to know the day it comes out?
What?
You think it's competition for your book?
Well, mine comes at June 14th.
I never heard you talk with that passion about Stanley the dog in his first day at school.
Hey, I made myself a note here to mention that there's another release in June, Stanley the Dog, the first day of school.
Hey, by the way, before Betty White died, she whispered to my ear.
I hope your book outsells this one.
Wow.
Yeah, it's the last thing she said to me.
It's called Good Night Girls, and it comes out after.
Bobby's book, June 28th.
Oh, yeah. I hope it does great. Yeah, good, good, good.
So get Stanley the dog first, and if you can get another book, you can get that one.
This is just your permission slip right now in this story to plan something fun or, you know, leisurely today.
Like play cards. Stop by the pool if you're somewhere warm. Go on a walk. Take yourself shopping.
Maybe take a little nap. Read because researchers found that in the long run, being productive all the time,
harms your mental health.
So you have to have built-in fun activities every single day.
Why are you looking to me?
Well, what are, because what's your built?
Why did you make all those noises right there?
I mean this one on a full sound effect.
I feel like now I don't, I'm not reading this specifically to you as much as I used to anymore
because Caitlin has brought fun into your life.
And like, y'all play cards every day.
We do.
Yes, we do play cards.
Yeah.
So you're doing something.
I think she's your built-in fun.
Like, she's added that spice to your life.
But for other people that just want to work all the time.
I do.
I do.
I want to work all the time.
But just consider your mental health.
Okay.
I just considered it.
I still want to work all the time.
All right, what else?
So Tim McGraw was talking about 1883 and how his call time for that is 5 a.m.
And you know what he loves to do every single morning no matter what, right?
Yeah.
Yeah.
Drink beer.
No.
Me an Indian outlaw.
No, he loves to work out.
He says he has to be at the gym every morning.
So he's been waking up at 3 a.m.
To get a rigorous workout in before he starts filming.
To quote him specifically, he said,
I'm sort of a gym rat.
I'd be so annoyed if I was his trainer.
He was like, hey man, it's Tim.
We're going to have to up these workouts.
Oh, yeah, Tim, what time?
8 a.m.?
8.30?
I need you to meet me there at 3.
Yeah.
Because I'm an Indian outlaw.
I just feel like Tim breaks into that song randomly at times.
What?
Have you started watching it yet at all?
Nah, I probably won't.
Oh, okay.
Well, if anybody else is interested in new episodes every Sunday on Paramount Plus.
All right.
I'm Amy.
That's my pile.
That was Amy's pile of stories.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Julia Mitchell was like most teenager.
She's 15.
And all she can think about is when I turn 16, I'm going to,
to buy a car. So she went out, got a job, working to save her money. And then she had to go under,
undergoes surgery in her hip because she had cancer in her hip. And she couldn't work,
couldn't save any money. So she starts YouTube and Facebooking all about her journey,
gets a bunch of followers. And then her parents get on there like, hey, guys, her 16th birthday's
coming up. What can we do to make her feel special? And they're like, let's throw her a parade.
So the whole neighborhood, she walks outside and cars, honk, honk, fire trucks.
a whole parade for her
and the last car in the parade
is a blue Volkswagen beetle
Hawk, Hawk, Hawk! And they said
Here's the keys to your new car.
Someone in the group that they don't know
donated the car to Julia.
That's a good one. That's what and sound effects
and all, like all the way around.
I love that part. Full 360.
Great story. That's what it's all about.
That was tell me something good.
So if a guy and a girl
both get sick, who do you think acts like they're feeling worse, Amy?
The guy.
Why?
Because he, I don't know, you hear this.
Like men are just more dramatic when they get sick and they need to be cared for more.
Like women, we have pain every single month.
We know what's up.
Like, we have to deal with that no matter what.
And then y'all get hit with something from time to time and it's just dramatic.
Well, I'd like to present my case now.
Okay.
Researchers have discovered that what they're calling man flu is lasting longer and is worse for guys.
Apparently when guys get sick because of their higher testosterone levels, it messes with their immune systems, which is why it's called the man flu, and they feel even worse.
Because the immune system is suppressed, it takes the body longer to fight back against bugs and causes the body to endure more discomfort and is longer and is worse on the men.
So take back everything you just said.
No.
Did a man put that out?
Take it all back.
All I know is that when I get the sniffles,
I seem to be in more pain than when my wife gets really sick.
Mm-hmm.
And that's because the man flew.
Well, now you get to read her that article.
And I will not read her that article.
I will not.
All right, time for Amy's joke.
Let's go.
The morning corny.
Why was the computer stressed after his drive home from work?
Why was the computer stressed after his drive home from work?
Because he had a hard drive.
He had a hard drive.
That was the morning corny.
A lot of listeners are asking about Lunchbox's business that he started.
Lunchbox explained to maybe someone hasn't heard of what you're doing exactly what's happening.
I am, I guess, sitting on reservations for Valentine's Day.
People forget to make reservations.
So I went into very nice restaurants and I made reservations.
under my name, and I'm holding them for people that didn't make reservations,
and then I sell them that reservation for 75 bucks.
Have you sold any yet?
I am in negotiations with one guy from Austin.
He hit me on Instagram.
What do you mean negotiations?
Well, basically, he said, look, dude, I don't have a normal job,
so I work nights usually, and I didn't remember to request off,
so I'm trying to get someone to cover my shift.
If I can, I want that reservation that you got in Austin.
He's going to pay $75.
He's going to pay $75.
What's the restaurant?
Can you say?
Yeah, it rhymes with bless you.
Bless you.
Bless you.
Bless you.
Wagoo.
No.
Uchi.
Uchi doesn't rhyme with bless you.
Maybe he meant like, Uchie.
Yeah.
I guess that's what it is.
Like you're supposed to sneeze and whatever.
But yes, that's the restaurant.
It's a nice spot.
Yeah.
Okay.
I still don't hear the rhyme.
He doesn't.
just was because he doesn't
maybe he doesn't understand
he doesn't really rhyme bones
what's the word that rhymes with
uchi
a chi
that still doesn't rhyme you're almost saying
it oh well that's what I'm meant to do
whatever whatever
what about like hoochy coochy
hootie go
watch it guys
I mean there's really nothing else
that rhymes with it
so you have
by the way Amy would you
explain what, or lunchbox, explain what Uchi is?
That's a, what do you call that?
It's a, what do you call that, Amy?
Okay, I'll do it.
It's a really nice sushi restaurant.
That's small, intimate, hard to get into, quaint, very romantic.
The ambiance is just right.
But yes, very expensive and you have to plan ahead if you want to go there.
Or you just get lucky.
See, Amy just said that.
I would just said sushi.
I wouldn't, and that's why I went to Amy.
Let's just say it rhymes with Rackdonalds.
but I ain't saying what it is.
Okay, so no reservations sold yet, but you're going to sell him to this guy for $75.
Hopefully, yes.
Hopefully by the end of the week, we will have the deal done and the money will be transferred to my account and the reservation will be transferred to his name.
How many reservations do you have in total?
I have five reservations, but if I can sell this one, then I can jump on another one.
You know what I'm saying?
You've got to sell one before you can get a new one because you don't want to get stuck with too many.
Oh, okay.
Why? Because your credit cards attached to them?
Yeah.
Okay.
So you have them at a place called the Optimist.
Yeah.
Oh, I forgot.
I told you the name.
What does that rhyme with?
In Nashville.
It rhymes with possum.
Okay.
And then in Austin, you have Uchi.
What do you have in Vegas?
I have that at a little thing.
What's the rhyme with?
Come on, come on, come on.
We'll guess it.
How do you say?
Horton Hamsey?
No,
Horon and Ramsey.
Momair.
What?
Because it's Javier's.
Oh, Javier.
Mom Air?
Yeah, I didn't know what...
Do you know how to rhyme, though, just in general?
Like, let's remove the restaurants.
Lunchbox, what rhymes with Bucket?
Oh, no, no, no.
Oh, I can't say that.
I can't say that either.
Okay, okay, okay.
No, no, Muffet.
Muffet.
No, Muffet does it rhyme with Bucket.
Oh, dang it.
Okay, Muppet.
No, Muppet doesn't rhyme with Bucket either.
What?
They both into T. How do they not rhyme?
Do you think that's how rhyming works?
Yeah.
Okay, what rhymes with sweater?
Letter.
Yes, that's good.
Yeah, see, they both.
Hey, lunch bucks did good.
Yeah.
Good job, buddy.
Good job, buddy.
Okay, let us know how your business go.
I will.
Check in, maybe the end of the week.
Okay.
I'm in and feeling like a million bucks today.
I got COVID test.
it again yesterday afternoon. I did a PCR test, which is the deeper down one. And negative again.
So after like six days of seeing no one, you know, yesterday I worked from in the house,
back. Look at me. Actually, there's been no difference for people listening to the show.
But I've just been holed up in the house making sure I didn't get anybody sick. But I don't have
COVID. I thought it might for a little bit. And I actually thought, because I haven't had it yet.
I haven't dodged. You ever see The Matrix? Oh, yeah. That's been me with that virus, except those are
virus is going at me. I thought I had it, but I don't. I'm negative again. I'm here. I'm good to go.
Let's play a couple voicemails. This is Noah in Colorado. I was wondering if what was going to
happen with that lady who you made the bet with on the Arkansas game because Arkansas actually won that
game. Thank you. Have a good day. We haven't heard from her. Do we know where she is? She made a bet where
she was going to be on hold for 30 minutes on a nonstop loop and have to say follow Bobby
Bones on Instagram and Mr. Bobby Bones.
Do we know where she is, scuba?
We can give her a call.
Yeah.
Let's go call her and have her hold for the next 30 minutes.
Trying to pay the piper.
Have her at the top of the hour next hour if she can.
But she's also a teacher, so.
Well, she should have made the bet then.
Well, don't make the bet. I agree.
That's right.
Yeah.
Don't do the crime if you can't do the time as well I say.
Oh, that's a stupid saying.
Because you never do the time.
You never want to do the time if you're doing the crime.
Thank you, Noah.
Great job.
Next up here is voicemail number two
I keep hearing the story about Amy's class rings
And all these stories about rings
Getting reunited with their owners
And I have this ring
That I have acquired that belongs to an OU
Gymnist
And I think that it was stolen
And I've been trying to get it back to him
But I don't know how to get it to him
I was just curious you have any advice
Yeah just say it the person's name
And we'll track it down
Come on
We're good for something around here
I thought honestly he was about to say he had more ring
Oh.
Uh, nope.
Did you think that once when he was talking?
No, because I have a transcript of what he's saying here in case I can't understand it.
Okay, well, I thought for a second.
Do you have his number?
Yeah, you want to call him too?
Yeah.
Just see if you can get him on next segment and we'll see if we can track down this OU gymnast.
All right, cool, I'm on it.
Let's do one more.
Here's number three.
Hey, I was just catching up on the podcast, and I heard you guys talking about the Oof.
And I am pretty sure that it actually came from.
a mobile game called Roblox, and anytime your character dies, they say, ooh, our kids
says it all the time.
Yeah, oof, it's from Roblox.
Yeah, and my son plays.
Roblox.
Roblox, okay.
Yeah, he plays that often, so now it makes sense.
Thank you.
And I guess I just do it because I hang out with so many people.
I have no idea why I do it.
All right, thank you.
We'll grab your calls in a second, 877-77 Bobby.
I promise.
Yeah.
Ray goes and froze up.
We good?
All right, go now.

Let me grab this call from Mark and Chattanooga,
who's on the phone.
Mark, we appreciate you calling the show.
What's going on, buddy?
Hey, Bobby. Good morning, studio.
Morning.
I just wanted to say, I think, Blush,
He'll really come to something with this business proposal he's got.
He just needs to get some help.
I think that he could possibly make a couple dollars.
The difference is anybody could do this.
Right, but if you are the first one to market and you start cornering the market,
they're going to come to you.
You're going to have knock on cars.
You're just using terms you heard on Shark Tank.
First to market and cornering the market.
Listen, yes, you're going to have a business.
And everybody's going to try to knock you off no matter what you do.
But if you're the biggest, baddest one on the block, guess what?
You're going to crush those cockroaches.
But you're not. You haven't done anything other than buy a few.
Yeah, you have like five reservations in one person that's interested.
All right. Hey, thank you, Mark.
We appreciate you calling.
I agree he can make a few bucks at this, but it's not like he has an idea that no one else has had.
People have made this app before and it hasn't worked.
Right.
But it's investable if you guys want to get in early.
Well, then what? Okay.
Early.
It's in like 13 days, Valentine's Day.
Yeah, but then there's Mother's Day, Father's Day.
What else? Fourth of July.
Yeah, it's hard to get those Fourth of Guy reservations.
You know what the number one song is in All of Music this week?
All of music.
What's the biggest song right now in your head?
Dicuddy.
Zia.
Adele.
I'm still a child.
Yeah.
Okay, not it.
Okay.
That's a big one.
What song?
Because to me, if you were to ask me, it would be the song.
The heat waves at dick a day out.
That one.
That one.
Happy on now.
Yeah.
I think about you.
Yeah, that one I'd probably top of head go that, but it's not it.
Okay.
Yeah, that's the animals or whatever.
What's it called?
It's called heat waves.
Heat waves by glass animals, I believe.
Okay.
What about surfaces?
What genre?
Surfaces, what's that?
It's a, a bunch of them and they don't want to me.
Hey, you ever heard that one?
I'm sure, but when you sing it, no.
Okay.
Morgan, do you know?
No, I think it could be the, A,
B, C, D, and I'm not going to say
The other part. E-F-U. Yeah. What?
And your mom and your dog
And your brother. Not nice? Yeah.
No, all massive songs,
but when I play it, you're going to go, wow.
Anything in lunchbox? No. The only thing
I had was Adele. It is
the number one song. Play it for me, right, Mundo?
No, no, not this.
The circles around this town?
No, no, no, no. Okay, we're all on the wrong
page here. It's the Encanto soundtrack. It is.
is the oh yes.
Oh, yeah, that's it.
Who's this? Who sings that part of us?
No clue.
The Encanto soundtrack is also number one
on the Billboard 200's album charts.
So we don't talk about Bruno.
Massive song. Yes, it plays in my house all the time.
We don't, I've never seen the movie, but I can sing that part.
We don't talk about Bruno, no, no.
Is this the one where there's some dance?
I don't know. My daughter does some dance to one of the songs.
That's from.
That's every song now.
No, it's from Enkanto.
Or Enkanto or whatever.
Eddie was how...
It's called Enkanto, yes.
Enkanto.
Yes.
Here we go.
Turn it up a little bit.
It's time for the good news.
With Bobby.
Tell me something good.
Amy, you've done a marathon, right?
Oh, yeah.
Do you remember your time?
Yeah, let's see.
Like over four hours and 30 minutes.
Is that good?
This is not the best.
I was in like 3,365th place.
What medal is that?
It's not.
Aluminum.
I'm just glad I finished, but there was like thousands of people running.
I just know that when Oprah ran it, her time was faster than mine.
You know, so mine was okay.
I was okay.
I think it's awesome that you just ran it.
I mean, I joke because that's a funny thing to say I was in 3,000th place.
But that's awesome.
But here's the guy from Utah who broke a record last week.
for the fastest marathon while dressed as a vegetable.
He wore a carrot costume.
He finished in two hours and 44 minutes.
Wow.
And he raised a bunch for the Release Recovery Foundation,
which deals with addiction issues.
Would you ever do a marathon again?
Never, ever, ever again, ever.
But, you know, it's cool to say I did it once.
I think it's awesome to say you did it.
I think that sounds like, that sounds like heck.
That's awful.
Yeah, no, it was my.
Texas A&M, they had a training group, and yeah, we traveled from college station to Austin and ran, like, I think back then it was like the Motorola Marathon or something in like 2001.
And it was really cool.
I do remember an old man running it and he carried an American flag the entire way, which had to be heavy and hard because the flag and blowing in the wind.
Like the resistance, he beat me.
So, yeah.
I don't think you can judge it on based on who beat you.
It's if you finished.
Did you ever walk?
I finished.
No, I ran the whole time.
I mean, there was times where I think I had to, of course, stop for water.
And my mom and my boyfriend at the time would meet me at different mile markers
and load me up with Motrin because my knee hurts so bad.
But I should have stopped.
I shouldn't have kept running because it did sort of ruin my knee.
But I was so determined to just finish because you do all that training for months and
months.
And I just was like, I have to get through that finish line.
And I will say it kind of ruined the next six weeks of my life.
Like I could barely walk.
I was swollen and puffy from some chemical that's like released your body when you've run a lot that like my body didn't like.
My boyfriend ended up with me because I was miserable.
I mean, this sounds like a Disney movie, guys.
She wasn't supposed to do it.
She did it.
She got puffy.
She bounced back.
I mean.
Yes, my knee again hurt, but then the foot opposite of the knee hurt because I was overcompensated.
on that foot. So, like, I remember not being able to walk around college campus because, you know,
classes are really far apart. And I remember my boyfriend would have to drop me off in front of my
class. And I could only wear my job. That's why I dumped you. It wasn't because you were
I was miserable. I was awful. And yeah. Is this the one that dumped you and you played
Great Day to Be Alive in the bathtub? No, that was the one before that one. Oh, okay. Yeah.
Boy, times weren't good for Amy in college, were they?
All right. That's a good story. That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
I'm not better than Wordle, but I haven't learned how to do Wordle.
I have no idea what's happening when people post their wordles,
but everybody post their wordels constantly.
What are you talking about?
What is a wordal?
How do you not know what wordal is?
Even if you don't do it.
I don't know how to do it.
All you guys know what word is?
Yeah, it's so big right now.
New York Times just bought Wordle.
Yeah, it's, I mean, like, nerds unite.
Does anyone else not know what wordal is?
Morgan, you don't?
No, I know what it is.
Okay, do you know how to play?
Yeah, I've played it once, but then I gave up.
I can tell you how to play.
My wife plays it every day.
All my friends post, Eddie, you ever see this on Twitter?
No.
A little boxes?
No.
I don't even want to talk about it.
It looks like Connect 4.
It probably would be super fun to me, and I only have room for one addiction at a time.
So I'm going to punt on Wordle.
Okay, I give it a few days where you can't help yourself.
And I've been talking about Wordle every day.
The guy created it because it was,
wife love word games. That was it. He just created a new word game for her. And then he sold it for
millions of dollars to the New York Times. Maybe yesterday, huh? I think so, yeah. So shout out to that guy.
Good for you, buddy. Let's go over and talk to Kelly in West Virginia because she called and said,
hey, if Arkansas beats West Virginia, I'll do whatever you want. So Kelly, you're ready for this?
Where is she? She's scared. She hang up, Ray?
I have it selected. I don't know. There might be an issue with the phones right now.
Okay, go to Austin and Oklahoma and we'll come back to her. Let's see if another line works.
Austin, you there, buddy?
Yep, I'm here.
Okay, hey, so you're the guy who left a voicemail about the ring,
you have an OU gymnast ring?
I do.
What's the name on it?
Alan Bower.
Search Fow Alan Bower.
I bet we can find him in five seconds.
Yeah, he's in the Olympics now, I think.
Oh, wow.
All of a sudden he wants to pawn it or sell it instead.
Right.
Oh, it's recent?
And you think someone, like, stole it from this guy?
Yeah, I used to work with the guy that I'm pretty sure stole it.
I got it, but I tried to get it back to him.
Wait, how did you end up with it, or do you not want to say?
No, he told me it was a football ring and wanted to sell it to me.
Oh.
So I went out to look at it, and it was a gymnast ring.
But I bought it, and I just figured I'd try to get it back to him.
Very nice of you.
He's 26 years old.
He's an American artistic gymnast, a member of the United States men's national gymnastics team.
Wow.
Yeah, so it's A-L-L-A-N-B-O-W-E-R.
We'll find him, and we'll hook you guys up, and you can get his ring,
back to him. So Austin knows the guy that stole it?
Yeah, but...
Probably. Probably. He probably stole it.
But I have a question, though, and this, like, why would you be wanting to say it was a football ring?
Why would you want to buy it?
Just for memorabilia?
Okay, cool.
I mean, I would have, too.
If someone's like, we have a 1974 Arkansas Razorback, or 64, or 64, when they won the National Championship.
Yeah.
If we have a 60, I would be like, yeah, I'll buy that.
Okay, I was just curious.
Yeah.
Okay.
Alan Bauer, if you're probably not listening,
but if someone can get a word to him,
we'll hook him up and get his ring back.
Do you want a reward?
No.
How much you pay for it?
Like $40.
Okay.
You want me to message his wife on Facebook?
I don't think we should ever do that.
Well, I mean, if he's over at the-
What do you have?
I have his email.
So I'm email right now.
Alan Bauer?
Yeah, Alan C. Bauer.
How'd you find that?
I could find anything whenever I want.
Wow.
He went to Basha High School.
All right.
Hey, hey, thank you, Austin.
We'll find him and get this ring back.
Okay, thanks, sir.
See, buddy.
Amy's still looking for hers, though, from Texas A&M.
Yes.
You can find it.
And now I feel like somebody probably just bought it for $30 from whoever stole it.
Hey, let's try Kelly and West Virginia again real quick before we get into the news.
Kelly, are you there?
I was here last time, but I didn't hear you.
You probably wanted me embarrassed.
I'm already embarrassed enough.
Is that?
Is she mad?
Are you?
I don't know.
Breathing?
So, Kelly, you lost your bet.
your idea to bed. Yeah. So are you in class right now? I'm in class right now. Yep. Like with students?
Yeah, but they're taking a quiz. So you can just for the next half hour just go follow at Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram over and over and over again.
Follow at Mr. Bobby Bones at Instagram. Yep. Okay, well, I'm going to need you to put that on loop and need you to say it for the next 30 minutes. That was the bet.
I know, but is this going to be disruptive to the quiz takers? For sure, but who cares?
you're not going to make me do that
you would not hurt the education of our American
You know what if you don't want to pay your bet
That's on you I'm not going to force
Damn
But she called me
Wanted to make this bet
Made the bet lost
You know what I was going to bet you though
You didn't even let me tell you
What I was going to bet you
I was going to send you a guy's pepperoni rolls
Pass
We won't eat food that comes up here
That we don't know where it's been
Too many people want us to die
It was going to be in a bag
Lots of people.
Yes.
Yeah, I don't know.
Yeah.
Okay, listen.
I'm going to let you slide on this one.
Or she can call back at another time, like early in the morning tomorrow.
I'm over it.
Bones, can you reiterate that when you make a bet you have to pay all of your...
Follow Mr. Bobby Bones at Instagram.
Follow Mr. Bobby Bones.
No, at Mr. Bobby Bones.
Otherwise, people just think you're being very nice to me.
So what do you say follow?
No.
Hey, Ray, she doesn't want to do it.
Tell me what I see.
No, no, Kelly.
You need to go and take care of it.
those kids, you have a...
You're like you're staring at me.
Yeah, and you know what?
You deserve to be staring at right now.
They want to say it one time.
Tell me what they have to say.
Is your classroom near other classrooms?
Or is it like in...
Portable.
Portable.
Oh, that'd be awesome.
Is it portable or no?
No, we're not portable.
Okay.
What's the quiz?
What's the quiz right now they're taking?
Follow.
What's the quiz?
What's the quiz?
Division of, no.
Division of decimal.
Ew.
Ew.
Yeah, they should get a five-point bonus.
Okay, here's the deal.
Here's the deal.
Can they all get five, it's a great good point, lunchbox.
Can they all get five bonus points on their quiz for you losing the bet?
Like, whatever they get, they get five more points.
Sounds like the plan.
Do you promise?
I promise.
Let them know right now, courtesy of at Mr. Bobby Bowen's on Instagram.
They're all getting a five-point bonus.
That's awesome.
Okay, courtesy of at Mr. Bones at Instagram.
Nice.
No, that's not it.
At Mr. Bobby Bones.
Kelly?
At Mr. Bobby Bones.
Go ahead, Natelam.
You all get five bonus points
on your quiz because I lost the bet,
and it's courtesy of at Mr. Bobby Bones.
On Instagram.
If I don't hear them cheer,
they're going to get 10.
Okay.
I heard one.
One dude in the back.
She's not even a teacher.
Amy's got a good point.
You call, courtesy of at Mr. Balby Bones on Instagram, get five extra points.
Oh, you guys are weak.
Okay.
All right.
We all lost tears.
Now she's yelling.
We all lost.
I mean, I think those are just her two little toddlers at home.
All right, Kelly.
I'm worried, like, does her principal listen?
Because, like, that could be a trouble.
Kelly, have a great day.
Thank you for being a teacher.
I do, like, commend what you do.
However, I can't commend your behavior when you lose a bet.
Yeah, it's not good.
Yeah.
And I think we'll leave it there.
I think she's saying the bet that part was your idea.
She wanted to send you pizza rolls.
I don't want anyone's pepperoni mailed up here to the studio.
Because a lot of people want to kill us.
Yes.
People want us dead.
Kelly, have a great day.
Thank you for listening.
You have a great day too.
Bye, guys.
You know she took those beanie babies, though, had she wanted.
For sure.
Let's do the news.
Bobby's Big.
Stories.
Tom Brady says he has not made a decision about his NFL future.
He wants that to be known.
Tom Brady says he has not made a decision to retire from the NFL after 22 seasons,
despite an ESPN report saying he will.
He did a podcast called the Let's Go podcast.
He hosted.
He says, I'm still going through the process.
He said it takes some time to evaluate how you want to feel.
I'll be ready to make a decision one way or another, just like I said last week.
I feel like he's retiring.
From what I hear, someone has seen the video that he made, his retirement video.
Oh, he pre-made a video.
Well, yeah.
And it shouldn't have been seen yet.
My hope is that he is so competitive like I am that he just wants to prove everybody wrong saying he was retiring now early and plays one more season.
I love Tom Brady.
I would love for him to come back one more time and get his final goodbye.
And everybody cheers him on.
So Tom Brady, the greatest that ever did it.
I hope he plays one more year.
He probably will not.
That story is from his podcast, the Let's Go podcast.
Do you care either way, Amy?
I mean, sure, for other people that would like to see him play one more year, that would be cool,
but I also would understand him retiring.
They can basically only go one more year in Tampa with having decent players.
Yeah.
They spend all their money.
If Tom Brady retires, will Gronk leave the team?
Yes.
Figured.
It's a weird question.
The Gronk already retired.
I know, but he came back out.
For Tom.
Yes.
By the way, your other story, Super Bowl halftime performers are not paid.
which, by the way, the Super Bowl halftime show is going to be awesome this year,
especially for us, our age.
Yeah.
Because it's Dr. Dre, Mary J. Blige, M&M, Snoop.
I'm sure I'm forgetting people.
Kendrick Lamar.
Kendrick.
And so that's going to be awesome.
Yeah.
And let's not forget how quickly people forget stuff.
Snoop is on trial for murder.
Now, he was found not guilty.
But he, what?
Well, I don't know.
I don't, how quickly we do forget because I don't remember this.
So, like, did?
You're very young.
I was very young when I was.
You were very young.
Was that before his success?
Rapper Snoop, doggy dog, which used to be his name,
is acquitted for Myrtle.
Murder and Myrtle.
Werdle.
Yeah.
Not in Myrtle.
That's the wordle that if you lose, you get killed.
All right, you got a wordle here.
If you don't get it right, you'll be murdered.
So they're not paid, by the way, which is interesting.
The headliners receive a massive amount of exposure and promotion.
The people who do get paid are the production crew and other staffers
and the people that perform.
But the people that are performing don't want to need to do it.
They're not even really trying anymore.
They're good.
Yeah.
A woman catches her cheating boyfriend when he calls an Uber that she was driving.
Here's the issue I have with this.
You can see on there who's coming to get you.
But do you always look?
I always look, yeah.
You do?
Yeah, yeah.
I don't.
And especially with food order, it's like Hank is bringing your order.
And I'm like, let me look at Hank and see if I think he's eating a fry.
Ah.
I always look.
See, I don't.
This TikTok user, Jen, recalled the time she was going to stay at home while her boyfriend was out,
but Jen decided to pick up some extra money and do some driving for Uber that evening.
Jen wrote, when you decide to stay in on a Friday, drive for Uber and your man gets in the back seat with another girl.
The weird thing.
Like her car?
He didn't recognize her car.
Users were quick to ask whether the request came through Jen's boyfriend's phone or the girls,
and she said it was the girls.
Oh, there you go.
Therefore, she didn't recognize the driver, and the driver didn't recognize the car.
girl and all of a sudden they got in.
But you think at some point
he would be like, oh, that looks like...
I think you would recognize the car. Right, that's what I mean.
And then you just run away.
You just sprint.
Not getting in there. You explain later.
Feet don't fail me now.
Yeah.
And then just deny.
What are he talking about?
That was it.
Finally, this Thai man lives in harmony with eight wives.
Yeah.
Okay.
In Thailand, a man has made his home with eight wives.
They all live under the same roof.
as a happy family.
He also made it clear that if any one of them meets someone else or feels unfulfilled,
then she is free to leave.
Eight wives.
That's wild, man.
That's a lot of birthdays to remember.
That's an expensive Valentine's Day.
It's hard with one wife.
Christmas?
How do you get to all the families?
That's ridiculous.
Holy moly.
All right, that's the news.
Thank you.
Those were Bobby's big.
Stories.
Would you know the Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow
if I put a picture of him up?
No.
You wouldn't know he is?
Nope.
I mean, maybe once you showed him to me,
I would be like, oh, yeah, maybe I've seen him before.
Yeah, maybe not then.
He showed up at the game on Sunday,
and he had sunglasses on a black turtleneck,
and he had the chain, and it said J.B.9, a Nike chain.
It's pretty cool.
I mean, I couldn't pull it off.
Joe Burrow 9 in his number, right?
J.B.9, yeah.
After the game, he had the chain back on.
Because he'd be wearing him when he walked in.
They'd do the entrance shots.
He had it on again.
And someone said, hey, are those diamonds in that?
chain real or not?
They're definitely real.
I think I make too much money to have fake ones, so, you know, these are real.
I'm sorry, but was the second question.
So he's estimated it have already made $26.8 million in his first two years in the NFL.
There's no word on how much the chain costs, but probably around $40,000, they think,
which is if you're making $27 million, you know.
Jump change.
Hey, that's a pretty reasonable purchase.
So, have you seen it?
Google it's chain.
I want to know if you think that's baller or tacky.
I couldn't pull it off.
And for some reason, I really like Joe Burrow.
Yeah, because it was big, right?
I think because he's just honest about it.
He's just like, he's so young looking.
He's so little.
Yeah, he's probably, what, 24?
24.
It means we're getting old.
We are getting older.
Would you recognize him?
Quarterbacks of NFL teams start to look like babies.
Like babies?
Yes.
I would never, I'd never seen him before in my life.
What about that?
chain? Interesting.
Ball or tacky?
Tacky, in my opinion.
But also,
that answer, ugh.
What?
That answer just,
like,
he's young.
Why not just say, yeah, they're real?
Why does it have to be like,
I make too much money?
But I didn't take it as that.
I took it as,
guys, I make,
you know how much money I make.
So?
I make too much.
Oh, you might.
You might still have fake.
I don't know.
Let me listen to it again.
Let me listen to it in the way
you're presenting it, right?
Would you play the club again?
They're definitely real.
I think I make too much money to have fake ones, so
you know, these are real.
I'm sorry, what was the second question?
I like him.
I like all.
I'm not saying I don't like him, but I feel like shorter is better with that?
Like, just be like, yes.
Honest answer.
They're real.
Like, I decided to treat myself.
Treat myself.
Can you imagine he said that?
Does Nike, like, sponsor him or something?
Like, why Nike?
No idea.
Maybe he's like.
Probably.
He's like, just do it.
If you got a custom chain, what symbol would it have?
That's the question that I'm going to ask.
So you get a big blinged out chain and you have to wear it.
Yeah.
What symbol is on it?
A bird.
Is that still your thing?
I thought after you said you weren't depressed anymore, you weren't watching birds.
I still, I just don't spend as much time and I don't like obsess over them as much.
But I still have my feeders and I still have my visitors and I still stop and talk to them and admire them.
Visitors.
My cat hangs out with them every morning.
So yeah, I love birds.
He has a Nike endorsement, yes.
Mine would probably be a big razorback.
Oh, for sure.
Or the Sonic logo.
Like, if we're doing like endorsements that we love,
it would either be like the Sonic logo blinged out.
Hey, listen, if anyone from Sonic listening, let's go, I'll wear that thing.
Real diamonds, though.
Real diamonds.
And then somebody will be like, is that real?
I'll be like, Sonic makes too much money for it to be fake.
That's right.
Yeah.
Hey, by the way, the gymnast is on.
Oh, come on.
Yeah, who lost their ring.
This is Alan.
Alan, how are you, buddy?
Hey, doing good.
How are you guys?
Hey, pretty good.
So your phone's been blowing up?
Yeah, it's been going crazy this morning.
So a guy calls us and says, hey, I have the ring of this guy.
It's an OU gymnast ring.
I'm assuming you went to the University of Oklahoma?
Yes, yes, I did.
And where did the ring go?
Did you sell it?
Did it get stolen?
No, yes.
So I was actually moving, and I was moving a bunch of my stuff to a new house.
and I went out early in the morning
and my truck had been broken into
and a bunch of my stuff
had been taken out of my truck
and I actually found a bunch of my NCAA trophies
my national championship trophies
behind a dumpster
with a bunch of my other stuff
and my ring wasn't there
so kind of lost it
and I never thought I'd see it again
well we're going to reunite you with this ring
which is pretty cool
the part is
the guy who stole it sold it for only $40.
I would be insoled.
That rings worth at least $500.
Oh, man.
It says on your Instagram, team USA elite gymnasts.
So what, tell me, because I'm watching you do gymnastics in front of a big American flag.
Were you on, are you on the Olympic team?
So I was actually the alternate for the Olympic team.
That was probably from the Olympic trials where I was competing there.
Are you still a gymnast? Are you still making your living by being a gymnast? I don't know how to ask that question.
Yeah. Yeah. Okay. I just don't know enough about it to ask about it. What do you specialize in?
So I basically do the all-around. So I do like all six of the guys' events. So I don't really specialize in one thing. I just kind of overall do, you know, all the events put together.
And why Oklahoma? Is that where you're from or did they just have a great program?
They just have one of the best programs.
And they, you know, I love the coaches. I love the team. And I love the school.
So I ended up getting a scholarship there and I moved from Arizona to OU to compete and go to school there.
And why Dallas now?
My wife is from Dallas. So we just kind of moved back here.
trying to get into medical school.
So we're just living here right now to be a little bit closer to her family.
And then hopefully once I get into medical school, we'll go from there.
Amy, he has more muscles on his body than I've ever seen on a human.
I didn't know there were this.
He's doing his gymnast workouts on his Instagram.
And he's got like a 19 pack on his stomach.
I didn't know there were that many muscles.
Gymnests seem to be super muscular.
Holy crap.
When did you start doing gymnastics?
When I was four years old, my parents.
put me into gymnastics.
I've been doing it since.
I was a baby.
Are you excited to get this ring back, or are you kind of like, eh, whatever?
No, I'm absolutely.
I'm very excited to get this ring back.
Like I said, I never thought I'd see this again.
So waking up this morning, that was a nice little surprise.
That's so cool.
Listen, I, too, have had my ring possibly stolen.
Don't know where it is my ring from Texas A&M.
So your story right now is giving me hope that one day maybe someone will pawn mine, find mine,
buy mine and then call and give it. Then a mediocre radio show will find it and they call you and be like,
hey, we found a ring. Let me say one more thing. Two questions for you. One, do you want to know
who stole it? Because the guy goes, oh, I bought it from the guy. He probably stole it. Or are you just
going to let by guns be bygones? Yeah, I would kind of like let that go. But I would like to meet
the guy that bought it. You think he's up to fishy business too?
No, no. He's like, meet him, okay, Chris Hansen will be waiting for him. Get in here.
But we should clarify that caller.
Like, he bought it with the intent to find the owner and give it back.
And he thought it was a football ring.
He's like, hey, I thought it was a football.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
And then the second one, when did it get stolen?
How long ago?
This was in, I think it was 2016.
Wow.
Wow.
Okay.
We're going to put you on holding and make sure you can connect with this guy and get your ring back.
And thanks for taking our call and we're happy we could do.
This is basically...
This is cool.
Tell me something good, right here.
All right.
Hey, thank you, Alan.
And I hope you get in the medical service.
school and thanks for spending some time with us. Have you ever heard of our show, by the way, ever? Have you ever heard of
the show? Oh, yeah, yeah. Oh. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. Used to. Well, okay. I guess we're lost show.
He's in Dallas. He's not in mid school, guys. He's way too smart now. He's aged out of this.
All right, Alan. Have a good day, buddy. Yeah, thank you guys. All right. Stay on hold.
We'll hook him up with that guy.

The celebrity that is pregnant is?
Rihanna.
Yeah, Rihanna.
Yeah.
Picture just popped up.
Very cool.
It's a cool picture, right?
Walking around like her belly's poking out of her jacket.
Yeah, it's like belly art.
I'm not even a big Rihanna fan, but I was like, that's a really cool picture.
And I don't know why.
It's pretty happy for her.
I usually am like, I can her less.
It was weird because my kids had just asked me like, hey, what happened to Rihanna?
She hasn't put out anything new.
I'm like, good question.
And then this popped up.
Well, she hasn't put out an album like six years or something.
But I don't think it's because it's.
Well, no, I just said, she's probably just doing life stuff.
And then there you go.
She's pregnant.
Yeah, Rihanna is pregnant.
Congratulations to Rihanna.
The story's from Daily Mail.
Okay, so I've been very sick.
I'm back.
Look at me.
Woo!
Yeah.
And so over the past five or six days, I just wanted to make sure I didn't give anyone COVID.
So as I was fighting the sick.
I was getting tested.
Did all the tests, the PCR test, the rapid
tests, you name it, I've had it tested.
And I'm good. And I got my final PCR test last night, and you don't have
COVID, you're not going to have COVID. Go back to work.
So I go back to work here today.
But in the meantime, Kaylon and I just play cards.
All the time we're just play cards. I've got a stack of Arkansas
cards. She has a stack of Oklahoma cards on the back.
We play this game called NERTS.
And whomever wins the game gets to pick the music.
And I keep mine on the 90s playlist.
Now, she loves 90s country, so we don't listen to that.
Because why I listen to something that the other person wants to listen to?
So, we listen to 90s pop and alternative.
And so these are the songs that I kept playing last night on a loop and letting her hear.
The first one was Weedest Teenage Dirt Bag.
You know a jam that people forgotten about?
When this song came...
Oh, you don't like this?
It's not my 90s wheelhouse.
What?
I mean, of course I know it, but I don't vibe with this.
I wasn't grungy.
But this is like pop, fake grunge.
Her name is Noel.
Did Caitlin like this?
No, I mean, not particularly.
Sometimes she'll also be like, what is this?
Yeah.
But some of them, she said that she hears so many times she starts to sing along with.
Okay.
This song, oh man, jam.
Nine-day story of a girl.
This is the story of a girl who cried a river and drowned the whole world.
And while she looks so sad and photo.
See, what's wrong with this?
This is so good.
Nothing's wrong. She doesn't hate them all.
Sometimes she just goes, oh, no, I know the words.
Like this one?
And then I tried to show off a little bit last night.
So I played this song.
I purposefully queued it up.
And I didn't want to show off like, just be, like, look at me.
But I just was like singing along under my breath to see if she would notice me singing along.
And be like, dang, you really can't get good at this.
And it was bare naked ladies one week.
It's been one week to look to me.
And not because of this part.
Right, the fast part.
The fast part.
But so I'd be like, you can turn it up.
I'd be like,
I'm playing cards, we're flipping cards.
And then I'm like, all right, let me just see if she notices here.
So, yeah.
King, queen.
Here it is.
But now I'm with a hoodwink.
I'll make you stop think.
I see you looking like Aquaman.
I summon dish to the fish.
Although I like the salad switch, I like the sushi,
because I never touch the frying pan.
Hot like wasabi when I bust rhymes.
Big Ligley Ann rhymes because I'm all about value.
Bert Campford's got the mad hit.
And I was trying to do it.
She never even cared.
She never even looked.
me and we're like, dang, that's sexy.
None of that.
No.
I mean, it is impressive.
It is impressive.
And I don't have lyrics in front of me either.
No.
I thought she would be so turned on by me doing this song at full speed.
But she wasn't.
We played guards until late last night, though.
But as much as we like to play cards,
I'm ready to stretch out the old wings again.
Yeah.
Do some stuff outside.
Because I'm not sick.
I don't have COVID, I guess, is the fear.
But that's what we did last night.
Play cards.
And we've become quite complacent.
competitive too, where if I lose, I'm in a bad mood for a little bit.
Oh. Well, so if she loses, you get to play her that. Is that what it is?
If I win, I get to pick. So she loses. So what happens if...
She wins. She gets to pick the music. Oh, it's music. She does the same thing, music too. So she makes you listen to...
What do you think? Gone with the Wind in the background?
Well, I don't know what she might choose something different, but... She picks different music.
Okay. Yeah. Yeah, but when I do, we play 90s sing-along. Yeah. I try to sing along. Let's play... What we got up here?
song or no song?
No, no song?
Now I want to hear Oasis.
Why?
Just in general?
Okay, play Oasis for a second.
What song comes up first when you search for Oasis, Ray, in the system?
Champaign Supernova.
Got to be Wonderwall.
Wonderwall.
What's your favorite Oasis song?
It's a lele.
It's Wonderwall.
More than Champagne Supernova.
Well, I don't know.
That's just what came to my head.
With Champaign Supernova in the sky.
What do you got?
Champagne.
Play a little bit of it.
This is framing.
There you go.
He didn't it.
It was for 90s, Amy.
Rock 103.
Yeah.
We're coming at you today.
Get the lead out coming up at 1110.
Oh, Led Zeppelin all the time.
We always talk like this because we wanted to feel like we're smoking weed all day.
When actually we're not, we just go home and play with the kids.
But if we do a voice like this, it makes us feel more alternative.
Rock 103, 103, Oasis.
Oh, it keeps going to.
You're going to play this whole song.
Very long intro.
Yeah.
What's the Story Morning, Gloria's name of this album?
I used to have it while I smoked weed.
Yeah.
And I really didn't.
but I just say that because I work on alternative radio.
Here we go, Rock 103.
How many special people change?
How many lives are living strange?
Where were you while we were getting high?
Rock 103, we rock so hard we turned the song off after one verse.
Thank you.
We rock.
All right, that's it.
Lobby Bone Show.
Story of the day!
This story comes with us from Jersey City, New Jersey.
A man walked into a little convenience store, robbed it, and got away.
Scott Free. He's like, man, that was easy. Next night goes back, does it again. Gets away.
And he's like, man, this is so easy. So he goes back for a third night in a row undercover cop behind
the counter. Yeah. Yeah, think. Go to one down the road. Don't get it. Don't keep going to the same one.
I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Also, don't rob. Let me just say that. Yeah, that's
but we usually will do a tell me something good here, but we kind of kind of break in here. And Tom Brady just
announced he's retiring just now. We were just talking about it 30 minutes ago. He wrote this on
Instagram. I've always believed the sport of football is an all-in proposition. If a 100%
competitive commitment isn't there, you won't succeed. And success is what I love so much about
our game. There's a physical, mental, and emotional challenge every single day that has
allowed me to maximize my highest potential. And I've tried my best these past 22 years.
There are no shortcuts to success on the field or in life. This is difficult for me to write, but
here goes. I'm not going to make that competitive commitment anymore. I've loved my NFL
career. And now it's time to focus my time and energy on other things that require my attention.
Okay. So with this announcement today, will he get his $15 million?
Yeah, he probably will. Because I'm sure it's filed paperwork.
Okay.
Retirement paperwork will probably be filed after.
Right. Because I want him to be. I don't know for sure, but I would imagine that that's the case.
I've done a lot of reflecting this past week and I've asked myself difficult questions.
and the one thing I must say is listen to the Bobby Bone show.
Wow, he wrote that.
He said that.
I listen in Tampa every morning.
Wow.
Keep going, Tom.
That's cool.
He continued to ride all this.
Is he going to Strawberry Festival?
And he's going to Strawberry Festival in March.
That's the time he's trying to spend more time of going to do that stuff.
I think our Tampa affiliates off right now because it's East Coast, which stinks.
Because that's a funny joke.
He does love strawberries.
He does.
Tom Brady's retiring.
Good for him.
Greatest ever did do it.
I wish he to won his final out.
That had been cool.
I wish he'd have given us one more year to kind of celebrate him.
He's the opposite of Coach K, who wants every game to be like,
oh, Coach K.
He's the opposite of Coach K.
The final paragraph he writes,
The future is exciting.
And then he promotes his TB12.
As I said earlier, I'm going to take it day by day.
I know for sure I want to spend a lot of time giving to others
and trying to enrich other people's lives,
just as so many have done for me.
with much love, appreciation, and gratitude, Tom.
There you go. Tom Brady has retired.
Big news.
Bigger than sports news.
Amy, do you have a question about Gronk?
He's probably posting on his Instagram right now.
Gronk, go away now.
I'm done.
Gronk go bye-bye.
Gron's still trying to get that insurance.
Hey, it's Gronk.
Can I get on the plan for all military families?
No, Gronk, you can't.
Oh, man, but I'm special.
Gronk, no, you weren't a military family.
family. Have you seen those commercials for like USAA?
USAA, yes. Pretty funny commercials. And we even know
it because of Grong. And it's like, but I'm special. And they're like, no,
Gronk. You have to be a military member or family.
They're like, Amy, they're like, what's your account number? He's like,
87? That's his football number.
Funny. Yeah, I would imagine that Gronk retires.
He only came back because of Tom Brady. But look at there. Now there's an
opening in Tampa for the quarterback team. So let's just say,
he's going to take it.
Warming up the old arm, bones?
Stretching a little bit.
It's so dumb.
He's getting loose, you know?
All right, thank you guys.
I'm on Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones.
Thank you.
Thank you.
A guy in Michigan who won 500 bucks in the lottery,
which, by the way, is a big win.
I've never won 500 bucks in the lottery.
No, I think I've won like $10.
I did a whole thing on Instagram
where I was scratching tickets
and just blowing money.
Never won 500 bucks.
So he wins it, and he's like,
well, I'm going to take this,
and I'm going to put this back in and bought a bunch of $30 scratch-offs and then won $4 million.
Wow.
I don't think I would have spent the $500.
I'd have been so pumped at the $500, I wouldn't have spent it back in tickets.
I'd have been like, got you.
I beat the system.
It's crazy.
But he went and made $4 million with his next lottery ticket purchases.
He said he scratched the barcodes while still inside the store.
So what you can do, instead of scratching all of the numbers, it takes all day and that stuff gets all over the table,
you can just scratch the middle barcode and then go beep, right then.
Oh, that's amazing.
It takes off the entertainment of it.
Some people like to scratch the ticket.
True.
And scratch the barcode, pass it over.
You lose your money quicker.
Oh, yeah.
It's the same thing, though.
It is, but there's no entertainment involved.
It would be like going to Vegas, because if you go to Vegas, most times you lose,
it'd be like going to Vegas and going, all right, I'm checking in.
How did I do?
Oh, I lost?
Okay, I'm going back home.
Like immediately.
North Carolina woman
uses the same lottery numbers for 16 years
and wins $264,000.
Boom.
She's been using the same set of numbers to play since 2006
and she hit $264,419
and a cash five jackpot.
That is from UPI.
Let me ask you this question, Lunchbox,
because I know you don't play the same number.
No, I play a quick pick
because if I ever miss a drawing
and those numbers come up,
if you went,
how many years?
16 years and you won $264,000.
And that was all you won.
It would be incredible.
So you'd be okay with that.
Absolutely.
If they said you only are going to win $200,000 ever.
Oh, then I'd be sad.
Right, that's my point.
Like if they said you can win, in the next 15 years you can win,
but you're going to win $250,000 and you're never going to get to win again.
No, I don't want it.
No deal.
No deal.
You would go no deal.
I would say no deal.
Because, I mean, that's setting your limits at only $250,000.
It's not setting your limits.
it's giving you $250,000
that you're probably not going to win.
But you know what?
You're limiting yourself, the $500 million.
Ooh.
You are limiting that,
but the odds of you getting it are awful, terrible.
Yeah, but I'd rather spend the $250,000 trying to get there.
Again, all these stories we read.
But you don't get the $250,000.
That's not money.
I know what I'm saying is I'd rather keep spending money
