Starting point is 00:02:57 Tomorrow you're off to Hollywood. And we're heading off tomorrow to go and do a little acting job, which is exciting. Yeah. Yeah. It is. Get a little nervous. getting real? I've been trying to name my emotions
Starting point is 00:03:10 because I feel like that's important and I have a lot. What do you name this one? Well, Peepee. Nervous. Excited. I think that the nerves are excitement and sort of a lot of curiosity
Starting point is 00:03:27 because I'm going into this unknown territory and I'm just going to be fun to see what happens. It's going to be awesome. Well, tomorrow Amy will leave during the show. But we have Chris Jansen coming in in just a few minutes. Full band set up in here this morning.
Starting point is 00:03:40 So we're going to go ahead and do the mailbag first, and then Jansen's going to play a couple hits, a couple new songs. So here we go. Let's open the mail bag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, lo, lo, lo, lo, lo, lo, lo, bo.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Bobby Bones. My husband said another woman's name his sleep. I probably wouldn't think anything of it. But the name of the woman is Sasha, which is also the name of our nanny. Uh-oh. I have no reason to suspect my husband or nanny of doing anything shady behind my back, but I cannot stop thinking about it. I have not brought it up to him yet, so I wanted to ask your opinion if it's worth bringing up.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Am I overthinking this? Signed wife in Wyoming. Well, I would have a bigger problem if I didn't know the name he was saying. You would? If I'm being honest. Yes, because. Sasha, I don't know if that's a real name or not, is in your life every day. So you could be having a dream about anything that's happening in your life every day.
Starting point is 00:04:46 Yeah, like Sasha, go get the baby. Or, I don't know that I have not said Eddie or lunchbox or Amy's name in my sleep. Please say you've never done that. But I could have been dreaming about something at work. And I'd have been like, Eddie. Eddie, get the video. Yeah, but your wife would be like, why are you saying that? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:05:02 But it's something happening in my normal day-to-day life. Now, if I'm sleeping and I yell, Tabitha. Really? That's the name? I don't know. I don't know it, Tabitha. Then I think I would be like, well, that's suspicious. So I would say because it's Sasha and it is your nanny, I probably wouldn't say anything about it right now. Time two, I think you bring it up. Oh.
Starting point is 00:05:26 What's the problem in bringing it up even first time and just being like, do you know what he said? Are you going to do these laughing things again where it's all creepy? Do it. Go ahead. You're like, oh, ha ha ha. Did you know you said Sasha's name in your dream last night? Didn't? No, you did. No, I didn't.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Why would I say that? Yeah, you did. And then it's going to be defensive. Then it's the whole issue. All right. We don't have to get defensive. It's nothing. But you can't control what you say.
Starting point is 00:05:49 That's also. That's our sling. Did you know that you said that? No, obviously, I was asleep. Well, sometimes you recall your dream and he'd be like, oh, yeah, we were, we can make that up real quick. Yeah. I'm just saying that don't get upset.
Starting point is 00:06:02 She's in his life every day. Just like the dog is, just like somebody at work. If it becomes common, then I think you should probably ask a question about it. But right now, wife in Wyoming, you're good. All right, you're good. All right, thank you. That's the mailbag. We've got your email and we've read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:06:24 Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. Hey, Bobby Bones here. And I know you've seen the tragic news. sadly we have to share another death with you guys. Amy, come on over to you. Well, we lost a country music legend this weekend. Naomi Judd passed away on Saturday at 76 years old. Now, no cause of death was immediately given, although in a statement, daughters Wynonna and Ashley attributed their mother's death to the disease of mental illness. And the announcement came the day before the Judds were
Starting point is 00:06:56 set to be formally inducted into the country music hall of fame. Now, the induction went ahead as planned yesterday with the public red carpet being canceled out of respect for the family. And together, the Judds, which is Naomi and Wynonna, scored five Grammys and 14 number one hits, like, Why Not Me? Why not me? And Love Can Build a Bridge. Love can build it between your love. Don't you think it's time?
Starting point is 00:07:51 Don't you think it's time? And then my personal favorite, Grandpa, tell me about the good old days. Family's really bowing heads to pray. Daddy's really never go good old day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Judd family during this very difficult time. Want better skin from your body wash? Try Ole Body Wash with skincare super ingredient collagen. Ole Body Wash hydrates for healthier looking skin in just 14 days.
Starting point is 00:08:35 From dry and dull to firm and radiant. With Ole Body, you feel fearless in your skin. On the Bobby Bones Show now. Chris Jansen. What's up, buddy? How are you? Hey, brother. I'm doing great.
Starting point is 00:08:48 Thank you for having us on. We appreciate it. It is good to see you. I mean, I watch some of your clips. I'll follow you on Instagram. So when you do these live shows and you're doing a live show in like a leather jacket, and you're bouncing around. I'm like, that jacket's about to come off
Starting point is 00:09:01 because this guy sweats, he's got a lot of energy. But you do, you will go up and you will pound for pound do more exercise, do more running around than anybody I've ever seen in country music. It is wild to watch you do a live show, and it's fun to watch all the comments from people
Starting point is 00:09:15 who see you for the first time. Thank you. And they're like, wow, that's so good. So before you're going out, is there like a stretch, something like stretching routine you do? It's so physical. There's not typically, historically.
Starting point is 00:09:26 However, it's funny you should ask because the other night we were on tour and we were in Missouri, right above the Arkansas line, as a matter of fact. And I got on stage and I did this high kick out of middle of nowhere. And I really, it was about third song in, and I, be honest with you, I really had wish I had stretched. Well, you're getting older, too, you know? We're all getting a little bit older.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Right. You forget, you know, you forget these things with, like, as the road takes its toll on you, and then you get up there and your high kick, I'm like, oh, my God, here's the good news. I sort of did pull a muscle in my leg, but more than that, I ripped it. the whole bottom of my pants out. And so I was literally just, I was up there doing my deal and I went, oh crap.
Starting point is 00:10:06 Legs closed. Oh, crap. And I wasn't wearing underwear and I had to get some, I know. You were wearing jeans with no underwear? Yeah. Well, I've seen the jeans. Kelly makes me wear on stage? Well, they're tight, yes, but I would think that would not be a good rub.
Starting point is 00:10:19 You know what I'm saying? Well, it just was that way that night. So I had to get some gaff tape from my guy over on the side of the stage. Jason and then I was he was like here I'll get it I was like no you definitely won't get it so I had to I had to tape myself up and but it worked okay so I just played the rest of the night looking like I had I just had a big loop of tape on my leg it's funny that you tore your pants you weren't wearing underwear and you didn't have a change of pants like don't couldn't someone run to your bus and grab some shorts or pants or something well it's the
Starting point is 00:10:51 it was the cruise bus and I didn't have any my clothes on it and so no I didn't I had a pair but they of course weren't at the venue. It's like when you need a pair, they're not there. Can you drummer give you his pants? He's behind a drum kit? You know what I'm saying? Technically he could. Listen, I mean, I would have pulled the blink 182,
Starting point is 00:11:08 but it's like in country music, you just, you know, it just didn't, I don't think many people would have related with that one. Well, you guys need to see Chris Live. It's such a great live show. Thank you. And we have a full deal here. The stage is covered with instruments, and I appreciate you guys bringing the whole crew here.
Starting point is 00:11:23 So, Steve, right? That's your name? So Steve, as somebody, plays a fiddle or violin depending who you talk to and the style you play. I feel like and do you feel like everybody has to know the first part and if so of devil went down to Georgia. Come on. Yeah. All right. All right. And your bassist. Your name is Josh. Now Josh, do you know all the famous parts from all the instruments? Oh, don't worry. Chris has got a good band. I'm ready to ready to do some fun stuff. And Chris, if you don't mind, would you mind taking us away with a little
Starting point is 00:12:00 song? Well, I ain't rich, but I dance. damn sure wanna be Yeah working like a dog all day ain't a working for me Well I wish I had a red chuckle that would kick the bucket I was sitting on a pile like a Warren Buffet I know everybody says money can't buy happiness But it can buy me a boat It can buy me a truck to pull You can buy me a Yeti one ten eyes down with silver bullets.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Well, I know what they say. Money can't buy everything. Maybe so. But you can buy me a boat. Okay, now we're loose. Everybody loose? Everybody's feeling good? Feeling good. All right.
Starting point is 00:13:48 Now, let's go to present day. You just put out this album all in. Yes. People can get it. You can stream it right now. you know some of the things that stood out to me on this album one you gave your people a lot of music and you know where i learned that when you have that little image and all the songs kept going these are boom d-d-d-d-d-d-d-and it never stopped and it's great because you gave them like 16
Starting point is 00:14:07 songs 16 songs that's a lot of music and i imagine you cut that down from even more than that about 35 yes what do you do with the other songs get pitch them to other people hope other artists will cut them. And some of them just go away and they don't ever really get hurt again. They just get shoved away. Sounds like a waste to me. Eddie and I'll cut them. Right Eddie? We'll do it right now. We'll record them. I would be greatly honored, honestly. Oh, we're kidding. You're too serious, bro. I'm dead serious. Chris Jansen is here. He's got the record all in. I did see there was a song on it too that you and Church wrote together, you and Eric Church? Yeah. How did that write come together? I was, um, so I was in the
Starting point is 00:14:43 El Cunning Woods with my youngest son, Jesse, and we were listening to the elk bugle about 545 in the morning. I got a random text message and I would have never checked my phone other than thinking it was Kelly or the other kids. And I picked it up. It was church and he had a little voice memo and a little bit of a snippet of a song. He said, what do you think about this? And it was just a half done thing. And I loved it. I said, I love this. So I just threw it out there. We'd never written together for us. So why don't we just, would you let me co-write it with you? And I'll finish it. He said, absolutely, I'm in. So I think he, as a matter of fact, I think he said all in, no pun intended, but that was before we even picked the album title,
Starting point is 00:15:21 but that was kind of a cadence along with this album. People kept saying. And so I said, okay, great. So I finished it, and then we had our first co-write together. It was pretty amazing. And where do you go? Do you go to, like, his house? And is it full of, like, sunglasses and?
Starting point is 00:15:34 Well, no. No. You got a whole Rayban story you walk through. It said he walked in. We'd like you to stop with a gift shop first. No, it's honestly, it was so, Eric's so chill and so easy going. and we have very much alike, I think is why we get along so good.
Starting point is 00:15:50 We have a lot in common. And he just texted me that, and I said, could you send me a lyricie immediately? I mean, this is early in the morning, which was kind of crazy. He was traveling on the road, so I get it. And he sent me what lyric he had. And then we just literally, I just started typing back and forth, which is, you know, during the pandemic, it's how I wrote a lot of the songs in this album. Got it.
Starting point is 00:16:11 I wrote them over FaceTime. I wrote them over email or the phone, frankly, because if you weren't with somebody, you had to get it done somehow, so that's how we got it done. The song is called Flag on the Wall. I'm going to play a little clip of that here. This is from Chris Jansen's new album All In. And again, here is flag on the wall. All right, Chris Jansen is here.
Starting point is 00:16:30 He's got the full band. I would like to hear something new. I don't know if you have any of the new stuff prepared for us. You do? Absolutely. Okay, well, let's hear something from the new record. What do you have for us? Thanks.
Starting point is 00:16:38 I'll do the Real Bass Pro, spelled R-E-E-L-L-Bass Pro. And I just love this song. and I sat this morning my youngest son Jesse's not here to sing it with me. He's been getting up and singing it with me because he thinks this is his theme song, which it kind of is. So here we go. This will be the first time I ever played it live on the air. The smell of an old two-stroke on a 12-foot boat early morning on the river. Calm on a fresh-cut field and a white tail running in mid-November.
Starting point is 00:17:25 A blaze orange cap laying up on the dash low riding down a night. old farm road yeah that's the real truck duck buck and bass bro because there's a little slice of heaven where I shot that 11 point buck with a double drop time and you ought to see a wiper plopper on the top water come Saturday at sunrise everybody who knows me dang sure knows I'll be 20 foot high in a tall white oak That's the real truck The Bucking Bass Bowl
Starting point is 00:18:00 Chris Jansen's here live And I think we need to make a distinction here For our audience who, if they turned on right in the middle Will you say the chorus Just speak the words, please? Sure, be glad to There's a little slice of heaven Where I shot that 11 point buck with a double drop time
Starting point is 00:18:23 And you ought to see a wopper plopper On the top water come Saturday at sunrise Everybody who knows me Dang sure knows I'll be 20 foot high and a tall, wide oak. That's the real truck, duck, buck, and bass pro. Mm-hmm. There you go.
Starting point is 00:18:38 So my question is, as he's jamming it, it might not sound like that if you're just passively listening. All right, Chris Jansen is here. We're going to come back in one second. We're going to do a couple more songs. We're going to do another hit, and then you've got to give me something else new
Starting point is 00:18:52 from the album, okay? Deal? Chris Jansen's here. Thank you. And that's the real truck. No, no, no, don't try it. Okay, all right, all right. All right. Back in a second with Chris Jansen.

Starting point is 00:23:38 For the dumbest reason We did not agree with him We felt he was being ridiculous So just know that Chris Thank you We thought he was out of his mind But he tried to RSVP For five people
Starting point is 00:23:49 Including his three young kids To an industry event Where there aren't a lot of young kids Running around Zero Right zero good good answer lunchbox, what would you like to say about this? No, it said, all in.
Starting point is 00:24:00 Like it said, oh, that's the name of his album. Right, but it said, come be all in with Chris Jansen. So that means everybody come, all in. So I said, all right, it said, it's going to have eats and small bites and drinks. And I was like, great, take the family, listen to some music. It's right at dinner time, 5.30 p.m. to 8. And I was like, that sounds good. But it's a work event, and all ends the name of the album, not every, why not just open the doors for anybody in town?
Starting point is 00:24:24 Well, because it's an exclusive thing for industry people. on their families, obviously, when it says all in. Not everybody got to invite. It's sort of like a birthday party. You get invited. You don't just let everybody in, only the secret that are invited. And I feel like Chris Jansen is a family man. Yeah. So, hey Chris, has anyone ever did plus
Starting point is 00:24:41 four on any of the stuff? Not just the kids, but has anyone ever said, I'd like to come plus four? Well, I must say, first of all, I had no idea that anything was going on until I saw the potential beef, and Kelly showed it to
Starting point is 00:24:57 on Twitter. I don't look at RSVEP list. I've never done, I don't even know what that is, frankly, and I've never reserved to one myself. I would assume not that there were, that there's probably never been a thing like that, but I don't know. He is correct on many points. I am a family man. I do have a loving heart. He, I will say this too. Many people forget that he did me a great deal of service back in 2013 when not a whole lot of people cared. He made it a point to come and be in a music video with me for a single call Better I don't. Do you think, though, he did that for his own good.
Starting point is 00:25:30 Chris, let's be honest though for a second. Do you think he did it for you or for him? Both. But here's the thing. That's okay, because I can appreciate that. Here's the thing. But wait, wait, wait, wait. My question is, so did your kids go to this thing?
Starting point is 00:25:43 I only had one child with me. Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Let's let him talk. Hang on, hang on, hang on. Let me say my piece. Okay? Not the Johnny Depp trial. Okay.
Starting point is 00:25:53 So that was a good one. So I'm, Jesse was backstage, but he was backstage. And I just want to say publicly in front of the whole Bobby Bones listening audience, the Bibone Show listening audience, that you know me in any time, any time you ever need anything, you know you can personally reach out to me because I'm that kind of person. He doesn't need anything, Chris. I know he doesn't. You know we can reach out to you, but he doesn't need.
Starting point is 00:26:19 He's starting to take advantage of. Well, was it take advantage or take advantage? or take my family to something that's awesome to preview new music. He had an album coming out. You're one-year-old wants to hear new Janssen's music. He's so into the real bass pro bro. He really likes music. Here's what I want to say.
Starting point is 00:26:34 Here's what I want to say. First of all, when I heard about it, I laughed. I thought it was funny. Second of all, I did that because I know you. And thirdly, I did bring you this. I'm just going to go ahead and open it so everyone can see. This is a gift card. To Ruth Chris.
Starting point is 00:26:50 To Ruth Chris. But I want to say something. Hey, they got small eats there. I want to say one thing. They've got small eats, big eats, and everything in between. And I'm going to ask them to play all in over the P.A. Thank you very much. They're probably going to do it.
Starting point is 00:27:04 And here's the last thing I want to leave you with. I want to say, for the listeners out there, because some are going to go, well, honestly, I can't believe you did that. Here's the thing. If you treat people with kindness and humility, always, it always comes back to you tenfold. There's one thing I learned about Pimp and Joy in this studio is that you do learn this. I am correct on that. You do learn this.
Starting point is 00:27:23 But I also want to say in the same regard, I'm not rewarding bad behavior. I'm taking it. I'm taking this as a old friend messing with an old friend, and I really do think it's important that you should try one of these great buttery steaks, and I'm not even selling this to you.
Starting point is 00:27:39 I'm giving this to you. So I hope you enjoy dinner on me. But most importantly, I hope your kids, I hope it's not their bedtime. He's not going to go with his wife and probably like two buddies. No, he's going to take it. I'm going to make sure.
Starting point is 00:27:50 takes his kids because I got people at Ruth Chris that I know who are going to let me know. Oh, my kids will go. How much? I hope this is not asking for too much information. How much is that gift card? I'm not even going to tell you. It's a $200 gift card. You're out of your mind. From one
Starting point is 00:28:07 good friend to another. So dumb. This is rewarding. I like what Chris did here. Because we have a beef. He got me somewhere where I can go get beef. That is what he did. But you have to come up here and get it. Yeah. Let's go. You have to come receive.
Starting point is 00:28:20 it from your friend. He has no shame. Buried the hatchet. Buried the hatchet. There was no hatchet. He created this whole thing. You created the whole feud and then you got paid for it. Hey, the beef has been sizzled.
Starting point is 00:28:38 That's not a saying. I know. The beef has been sizzled is not a thing. Okay, what do you want me to say? The beef has been leaned, has been chopped. The good news is if radio doesn't, which is it's working out, but if it didn't work out, you just run for politics because you're, again, you're doing things and you're getting rewarded for it.
Starting point is 00:28:51 This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. Chris, you're too good of a guy. No, hey, you know what? Thank you. But I love your lunch and I love this whole, I love this whole crew. I'm mad at you and I need a Lamborghini. But this is probably the only artist that would this. Lunchbox does not need to continue try this with every artist in town.
Starting point is 00:29:09 It's what's the beat for the week? Yeah. All right. I didn't try this. We're going to move on. Chris, would you please play us a song. We love to. All right.
Starting point is 00:29:17 Here's Chris Jansen. He's got a new album out called All In. We'll get to something new. just a second but first what are you going to play for us chris i'm going to play fix a drink because it's uh coming up on summertime and this feels like a summary type song and it was a big number one so we'll uh we're thankful for that here we go fix a drink hell it's hotter than hell outside right now it's a hundred in the shade when the sun be standing forecast called for some more of the same well i can't fix that but i can fix a drink
Starting point is 00:30:00 Oh, yeah. And killing it today. New records out, called All In. I saw you did a song with Travis Trit. Yeah. Pretty cool. Well, you ask him to unblock me on Twitter. Are you serious?
Starting point is 00:31:31 He's blinded me a couple times. I don't know why. All of a sudden, look over. And he's like, so just put the word in, be like, hey, what's up? Done. Thank you. Lunchbox gets a Roots, Chris, card.
Starting point is 00:31:39 I get unblocked by Travis Trit. We're both winners here. I can't. Okay, done. That's all I'll say. Done. I got that song, too. So how did you and Travis Trit get together for a song?
Starting point is 00:31:47 I'm sorry? How'd you guys get together for a song? You know, we're both opera members. Of course, I and so many people love Travis's music. Man, David Lee Murphy and I and a couple other buddies got into an actual face-to-face go, right, over the last year. We wrote a song called Things You Can't Live Without. We were writing it. I was kind of messing around with David Lee.
Starting point is 00:32:09 Of course, David Lee Murphy dust on the bottle, David Lee Murphy. And I said, hey, man, I'm going to get Travis to sing this with me. I hope I'm going to ask, and, you know, it's a long shot, but whatever. and we did that little thing with Cadillac 3 a while back so there was already a little kinship there and me and Travis had a mutual respect anyway long story short I just text him and I said would you consider doing a duet
Starting point is 00:32:27 on my new album he said well send me the song so I sent it he sent it back and he said oh yeah hawks I'm in so we did it and man he just he absolutely crushed it here's a clip of things you can't live without it's Chris featuring Travis Trett There's things you can love with and then there's things you can live without
Starting point is 00:32:46 That's from the new record all in. How about you give us something new, though, to end this? We've been playing music. We've been blowing it out here. What do you have for us? Thank you. Yeah, this has been fun, man. Gosh, thanks for letting my band come too.
Starting point is 00:32:58 Band, awesome job. I'm going to play one called We Did It Anyway. This song, we just shot a video for this. We've been shooting videos for a lot of the songs. We've been dropping up until the album release, actually, which I've been really proud of. But we did it anyway. It's a simple ode to the way that I,
Starting point is 00:33:16 I grew up playing field parties in the Midwest and living that lifestyle. So this one goes out to all my rural community country friends back home in southern Missouri and right here in Tennessee too and all around the great United States of America. Here we go. We wake up, put our boots on and it straight to that hay field. All that no cab tractor sweating every summer. We lace up our cleats and put our helmets on twice a day, even though that farmer's bank sign said a hundred yeah we were out in the dirt it didn't matter how much sweat was on our shirt
Starting point is 00:34:05 no we did it anyway it was the only way we knew we did it all way just like they told us a night to do we drank a beer we had a chew we got a wild out at the moon we were way too young to care what people say yeah we were wouldn't have it any other way. We did it anyway. We did it anyway. We did it anyway. There he is. Come on. Chris Jansen.
Starting point is 00:34:40 Got a new record all in. It's 16 tracks. It is high energy. It's also very emotional. It runs you all through the roller coaster. Just like a live show. Just like the person that gave lunchbox a $200 gift card to Roots, Chris, for no reason at all. Man, I got to say, got to go stream that album, everybody.
Starting point is 00:34:58 I mean, this guy is. He makes a mistake and he steps up and, you know, he figures it out. That may have been the best investment you ever did was giving him $200 because you know the rest of the weeks and he'll be like, and don't forget Chris Jansen's new album All In, available now, wherever you stream. Chris, great job, man. You always come in and give us everything you have and we leave going, holy crap. So great job, as always. And to you guys, the whole band who came in and woke up early this morning. I know this little earlier than normal.
Starting point is 00:35:22 And so we appreciate that. Thank you, guys. And again, Lunchbox, what should people do? You got to go stream all in, Chris Jansen, wherever you stream. music. I mean, download it, buy it, go buy concert tickets, buy merch. Dude's amazing. He's holding up his gift card as he's saying this too. Like people at home can see it.
Starting point is 00:35:37 Let us hear this. That's the gift card. It's called the beef being sizzled. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. There you have. Now I get it. Great investment. You're going to get way more than $200 out of that. Okay. That's it. Chris Jansen, you guys. You guys follow on Instagram. Go see him in a show and stream all in.
Starting point is 00:35:53 Great job, guys. Chris, we'll see you next time, buddy. Thank you very much. Thank you guys. if you get a nice day, you want to go out and enjoy it, right? And so the snowstorm got bigger than they expected or could handle, so they spent the night in the car because it couldn't drive anymore. And they were like, well, we got to go. Somebody's got to go try to find help or to get us out of here. They both go hiking and they get split up from each other.

Well, all that was in the car was like a six pack of little yogurt. She was stranded in the snowstorm for six days. Wow. And she survived on just rationing a six pack of yogurts, eating one per day
Starting point is 00:38:49 and then eating snow because it wasn't any water. So she's doing yogurt and water. Everyday sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Forest Service search for her on foot. And then when it got a little less snowy, they used a helicopter. Six days later, the vehicle was located by a sheriff's sergeant. They didn't know if she'd be alive or not. And she was. She'd been eating one yogurt a day.
Starting point is 00:39:06 Good health. Now safely back home. What do you do in that time, like, just to kill time? What do you, you just think about, I'm going to die and die? All the hits. Kiss FM. You're not turning that car on. You're not.

But yeah, you're probably going, I don't know if I'm ever going to get out of here. So, great story that she survived. Love to sharing it. That is what it's all about.

Starting point is 00:43:10 You're going to be acting tomorrow with a major actress. Oh, it's going to be awesome. It's going to be exhilarating. It's so nervous. I can't wait to hear all the stories. Yeah, I have the nerves. I have the excitement. But I'm trying to stay focused, working on my line.
Starting point is 00:43:24 over and over on my flight. That's what I plan to do, study. Well, they may change your lines up last minute, obviously. Yeah. So we're going to be a little acting here, me and you. We'll get you loose. Oh, gosh. We want to hear what you got?
Starting point is 00:43:35 Is that a script? You want to hear the chops? Yeah. We pulled a scene from Twilight. So I'm Bella. So yeah, take 30, 45 seconds, a minute, look over it. Okay. So Amy has, oh, she was just chilling one day,
Starting point is 00:43:49 and she was sitting next to me. I got an email going, hey, I'd like to talk to Amy about being in this movie. And I was like, okay, it's awesome. Is this real? And it was like, yes. Why Amy? Well, we think she fits the role we're looking for.
Starting point is 00:44:02 And so I didn't recommend Amy. A movie company came calling. Wow. And so Amy's going to- It's crazy. What? It's the whole thing when I hear you say it back. It's just still so crazy.
Starting point is 00:44:11 She'll be on a set tomorrow, acting with a major Hollywood star. It's like, I've said for years this is like a bucket list item. And then here it is happening. It's like manifestation of its finest. So we'll hear the story's probably. Thursday, Friday? Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:26 Can she post from the set? I don't know. I don't know any rules. I've seen some of the people in the movie. I've seen them on Instagram posting picks. But they don't say what they're doing. It's just that I know what they're doing. You know what I'm saying?
Starting point is 00:44:40 Famous people? Yeah. That's so cool. Okay, so we're going to act it out. Lunchbox, you heard today, buddy? Yeah, I don't want to. You can say anything. He's going to, whatever I do, he's going to be like,
Starting point is 00:44:50 you want to review this? Yeah, I'll critique it, Amy. I'll be honest. I've always been honest with you. What do you mean? This isn't acting? Here we go. Amy. Let's do it. You're going to be Bella. I'm going to be Edward. I don't know this scene. Guess what? When you act, you don't know the scene. You've got to create the scene. I know the script I'm working on. I understand the whole what I'm supposed to be doing. I understand the scene. I think it's when they, what do they, they just meet here? First meeting between Bella and Edward.
Starting point is 00:45:17 Okay, so they're just meeting. I'm the guy. I'm Batman. Except different movies. This is not going to be fun. Okay, go. Ray, if you'll kill that music, please. This gets to be a pretty intense scene. All right, lunchbox, however, they do it in acting world. Set us up here. Action! You're impossibly fast and strong.
Starting point is 00:45:35 Your skin is pale white and ice cold. Your eyes change color, and sometimes you speak like, like you're from a different time. You never eat or drink anything. You don't go out in the sunlight. How old are you? 17. How long have you been 17?
Starting point is 00:45:50 A while. I know what you are. Say it out loud. Say it. Vampire. Are you afraid? No. Okay, well, then ask me the most basic question. What do we eat? You won't hurt me. Where are we going?
Starting point is 00:46:08 We're going to go up that mountain. Out of the cloud bank, you need to know what I look like in the sunlight. This is why we don't show ourselves in the sunlight. People would know that we're different. This is what I am. It's like diamonds. You're beautiful. Beautiful. This is this going to have a killer, Bella. I'm a killer. I don't believe that. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 00:46:28 Scene. There you go. Cut, I think they say, right? Scene. Cut is when you mess up. Remember when we acted together when I made us reenact the Hunger Games trailer? No, we don't care about a thing from YouTube 20 years ago.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Lunchbox. Go ahead. Amy, you're not believable. You're laughing the whole scene. That's true. It was pretty intense. I noticed that. I didn't know.
Starting point is 00:46:47 I didn't know. I don't know the scene. I don't know the scene. That's what I'm saying. I thought she was being a little playful. Lunchbox, you want to do the scene with me and show her house now? Oh my gosh. Okay, here we go.
Starting point is 00:47:00 Now, this is how you do it, Amy. Okay, can't wait. Hey, I'm taking notes. I don't even know what Twilight is. Yes, you do. It's the vampire movie. Okay, here we go. Is it Robert Pattinson?
Starting point is 00:47:09 Yeah, that's the one. And you're Bella, Kristen Stewart. But you can still do it. Yeah, I can do it. I don't need 30 seconds. You're a female. Yeah. You don't have to do a female voice, though.
Starting point is 00:47:17 Yeah, I'm not going to. Okay, Amy, you have to tell us on to go. Action. You're impossibly fast and strong. Your skin is pale white and ice cold. Your eyes change color. And sometimes you speak like, like you're from a different time.
Starting point is 00:47:33 You never eat or drink anything. You don't go out in the sunlight. How old are you? I'm 17. How long have you been 17? A while. I know what you are. Okay, say it then.
Starting point is 00:47:47 Say it, say it. Say it out loud. Say it. Vampire. Are you afraid? No. Okay, then ask me the most basic question. Because I know you want to know.
Starting point is 00:48:00 What do we eat? You won't hurt me. Where are we going? Going up that mountain right there. Out of the cloud bank. You need to know what I look like in the sunlight. This is why we don't show ourselves in the sunlight, Bella. People would know that we're different.
Starting point is 00:48:15 This is what I am. It's like diamonds. You're beautiful. Beautiful. This is the skin. of a killer, Bella. I'm a killer. I don't believe that. Steve! Wow!
Starting point is 00:48:28 Hey, you brought up the best in me too. That's strong. That's strong. Wow. I wanted to make out. Wow, I was feeling it. Stop that. We didn't want to make out. Okay, never mind. Wow. It's drawn to you. Bella.
Starting point is 00:48:42 What are we got to say about that one? That's good. All right. Round the room, what do you think? That was really good. I didn't know Lunch's voice could get that song. Exactly. Wow, that's good. Great job lunch. Yeah, good job, Bobby. Maybe I should go to Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:48:57 We didn't ask you, though. Yeah, I didn't ask you. Amy, what did you learn from that, though? That's the question. I don't, I guess. You watch the pro over there. Oh, I felt the emotion, I guess. I need to tap into more of the emotion
Starting point is 00:49:10 and understand the scene because his was a little bit more dramatic as whereas I don't, I thought it was like a lighthearted exchange, but I guess not. No, when you're thinking you're going to get eaten, I don't think it's very lighthearted. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:49:21 That's true. you'll be great. Lunch Fox, nice job. Everybody, good job. I'm going to Hollywood. Bones, good job. Oh, good job. I just read lines.

Electric when you want it, gas, when you need it. Visit a Hyundai dealer or learn more at Hyundai.usa.com. Let's go over and talk to Randall, who has a, question and I guess a comment about lunchbox. Hey Randall what do you have buddy? Hey big lunchbox congratulations on your role in the movies my man. Oh thank you my man.
Starting point is 00:50:01 Oh wow my man my man my man so if in case you haven't heard Amy got a big movie you know she's going to Hollywood and so then someone called and said hey I'm doing a little independent film and they'd like to offer lunchbox a roll and he was offered it it was a villain in a spaghetti western I guess that's what you call them short film short film short film. and I was going to have to fly to somewhere in Ohio. Chill of coffee, I believe. I was going to fly somewhere else, get a rental car and drive to show a coffee.
Starting point is 00:50:31 Got it. And get paid $150 a day. And I said, yes! Did you commit on the air to doing it? I said I think I'm in. Because, I mean, one small role in a small movie leads to a big role in a big movie. Well, I've been thinking about it. And I don't know if I'm ready to commit to the movie role.
Starting point is 00:50:50 I got a call with my agent. today or tomorrow. You have an agent? Yeah. Who? That's your wife? Don't worry about... You have an agent?
Starting point is 00:50:58 Yes. An acting agent. Legit, legit? Go ahead. Yeah, legit legit. And so he's been out of the country on vacation and I didn't want to... There's no chance. This is true.
Starting point is 00:51:08 But go ahead. I am going to have a call with my agent and we're going to discuss it and see if he thinks his role is right for me. If I may be bigger than a small time movie because I'm starting to think after thinking about it, I think I may be. a little bit too big for this role, but I'm going to get my agent's opinion, because I respect his, you know, business savvy when it comes to acting in the industry. So right now I'm kind of leaning towards out, but it depends what my agent says. What do you need to do it?
Starting point is 00:51:38 I probably need more money, probably a bigger role, more screen time, better transportation, things like that. Oh, like helicoptered in? Yeah, I mean, more money. If it's offering you $150 a day, what do you want? Probably, I mean, Amy was, what are you going to get, Amy? I'm getting the sag amount. The sag minimum, which is $1 a day. Okay, so probably at least $1,000 a day. You need $1 a day.
Starting point is 00:52:00 So it's really not about your role. It's about getting more than her. Yeah, I mean, I have more credentials, and I have more of a resume. You do? You're taking some Zoom classes. Okay, what is Amy taking? But again, you haven't actually done anything for a resume. Like, you have no work.
Starting point is 00:52:14 Okay. You were not M.K. He was in that Chris Jansen music video a while back. Yeah, that's true. You got that. That's true. I was also in, I was on Jerry Springer. I was, I mean, not.
Starting point is 00:52:28 In like 1998. Have you told the woman who called us? No, I haven't, I didn't want to tell her because I didn't want to crush her without talking to my agent first. Once I talk to my agent. Okay, can I say I firmly believe lunchbox does not have an agent? That is in another country on vacation. But Bobby, he takes acting classes on Zoom. They may have hooked him up with an agent.
Starting point is 00:52:49 Exactly. Thank you. Amy. What's your agent's name rhyme with, lunchbox? Ah, rhyme. I'm not good at the rhyme game. You're not? No, hold on. It's not a game. No, I'm trying to think what... Trying to think of a name, huh? First think of a name.
Starting point is 00:53:05 Like Bill and then go pill. Ryan? Yeah, Ryan's good. Waxon Dews. His name's Braxon. Jackson. Jackson Hughes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:53:15 Okay. Guys, lunchbox, let me know when you talk to this agent. I'd like to see a picture of him too if that's cool. Okay. Does he represent anybody else? I don't know his other client list. You don't know his other client list? Did he have a website?
Starting point is 00:53:29 I don't ask about his... How do you not know his other client list? That's why you sign with somebody. Who else? You can't go to your doctor and say, hey, who else do you treat? No, you can't do that. But a doctor and a patient's... An agent uses many of his clients at one time for leverage for other clients.
Starting point is 00:53:42 Yeah, doctors can't do that. It's very different. You want like Tom Hanks's agent. Oh, wow. I'll do that. Because it's like, hey, Tom Hanks will do this, but you also add this person and this thing? I mean, I don't think he's going to come to me and be like, I'm Tom Hanks' agent right off the bat. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:53:57 They do. That's what they do. Yes. Okay. That's the deal. Randall will let you know. Lunchbox is in negotiation, obviously, as you can hear. And we'll update you guys soon.
Starting point is 00:54:05 All right. Thank you, lunchbox. A 34-year-old, vegan in England, who is very much into his health. He drinks his urine and he swears it's the secret to eternal youth. No. No. Okay, I agree, no. I absolutely agree, yuck, I agree.
Starting point is 00:54:22 What if it was? Yeah. It's waste. How could it be like... But it's clean waste. Yes, it's waste. Yeah, and I'm not fighting for it. And don't take this as that.
Starting point is 00:54:31 I'm not planting my flag and drink your urine. But if this is proven to be true, I'll do it. I'll do it. I drink stuff that probably tastes worse at times. Yeah. So he's saying it's going to make us live longer or just be young looking? His name's Harry. He claimed he drinks his own urine daily,
Starting point is 00:54:47 and the stomach churning practice has cured him of depression and made him look 10 years younger. It's from the New York Post. All right, spin the wheel. I mean, we've heard that about urine before, like even maybe like applying it to your face. That's doable.
Starting point is 00:55:01 Oh, no. Better than drinking it. Just the fact that you'd go doable. It's still as gross. My point is that let's not hate on them. Oh, let's hate on them. I'm trying to find out. But if this ended up, they were like,
Starting point is 00:55:16 Yeah, you know, there's something to it. We'd be like, oh, maybe we should. Maybe put a little sugar in it. Oh, that is gross. All right, here is a voicemail from Joe Lynn and Adriana in San Marcos, Texas. Morning studio. Morning. Go ahead, Adriana.
Starting point is 00:55:31 Hey, Mom, did you hear about the kidnapping in my school? No, what happened? He woke up. Full routines happening here. She's giggling hard. Fair Harbor makes the world's most comfortable beach. They've replaced mesh lining with their incredibly soft, breeze knit boxer brief liner. Go to Fair Harbor Clothing.com.
Starting point is 00:55:54 Use the promo code, comfort 22 for 20% off. And say goodbye to mesh lining forever. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So there's this guy that looks like Will Smith, so he's turned it into a business. For 25 years, he's been going to parties, weddings, corporate events, impersonating Will Smith. Pretty successful at it. But ever since the slap at the Oscars, he says that his popularity and his income has nearly doubled. I wonder if you pay him extra, slap you.
Starting point is 00:56:24 Or I bet he's doing, even if it's no extra, I bet he's doing a lot of pictures where he's like got his hand up against the face. Where people are like just chilling at the office and Will Smith came by and slap me. It's mandatory. Like that would be funny. One time we hired at a radio event a Ringo Star look alike. The Beatle? Uh-huh, the drummer. And he came and everybody thought was Ringo Starr and it was hilarious.
Starting point is 00:56:45 And then they got real close to him. I'm like, oh, you're not Ringo. But from like 10 feet, like, you would have thought it was Ringo Stahl. Yeah. It's crazy. That's funny. Well, this guy, again, he's doing it for 25 years. And because of how successful he's been, when he was only 21 years old, he was able to buy his first house off of this gig.
Starting point is 00:57:02 And then now drives, like, really nice cars and he's not doing too bad. He doesn't look like Wilson's that much to me. You got to pull a hat down. He said he's even getting stopped on the street, getting asked about the slap and stuff. Okay. If 10 is, he looks exactly like Will Smith, 6.8. Oh, that's not great. Mike, what do you put it at?
Starting point is 00:57:21 You saw him? Yeah, I probably that's six. Oh. Mm-hmm. Doesn't look. Again, if you squint. Yeah. And you hold, yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:29 All right, what else? So I have things that people experience as kids, like most of us in this room, that our kids today, they just will never understand. Like having to look at the TV guide to see what's going to be coming up on TV, like flipping through it and reading for it. So like the paper version. Yes. Yeah, because even now, the guide button is starting to be a thing of dinosaur past.
Starting point is 00:57:51 Yeah. Because most things that people are watching are on streaming services, but to go to guide that's like, all right, what's coming? That feels... I haven't done that in years. I just need a way, what I need is a new guide that if I type the first couple letters of a show, it tells me what streaming service it's on.
Starting point is 00:58:07 There you go. And I go to the internet, sure, and Google it and do all that. But I need, if I'm on, just go booboop. There it is. It's on this service. You can do that. There's a search button on your smart TV. If you go to the far left, there's a search, you type it in.
Starting point is 00:58:19 It tells you everywhere you can get it. I don't use the TV smart TV. I use Apple TV. Oh, I don't know anything about that. I don't use anything on the TV except the actual television. I'm like, how does Lushbox have this? I know, why is he telling us this? Using a pay phone in general, but someone shared a specific example of needing to be picked up from school and like going to the payphone outside of the school,
Starting point is 00:58:40 calling your parents collect and saying, pick me up and hanging up really quick before they get charged. That was the move. You would leave your message in the message they would hear when they were deciding whether or not to accept the message. Yeah. It's like so when I get calls in prison, they'd be like, I'm breaking out. So I would know to be ready to have the door unlocked. That's good. Yeah. Using encyclopedias for research projects, the Dewey Decimal Card catalog, and then 20 pound CD cases. The Dewey Deceal stuff was terrible. That was awful. But CDs rocked. Yeah. All right, what else? Gary LaVoc says that Rascal Flats passed on fly over states and don't you want to stay.
Starting point is 00:59:18 So two different Allendeen songs. Yeah. You're trying to start a feud? Well, no. But I guess the guy that wrote them or if there was multiple people either way, they brought it to Gary first and Rascal Flats. And they were like, no, we'll pass. And then they took it to Jason second.
Starting point is 00:59:34 And they were massive hits. Well, those stories are always fun. All right, what else? I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Something good.
Starting point is 00:59:48 So this teenager, Austin Roberts in Nebraska, was in a car accident. Devastating. It was in the hospital, had to miss prom. So what did the hospital staff do at Nebraska Medicine? They put together a prom for him at the hospital for him and his girlfriend, Hannah. They had everything, a dance floor, croissages, a photo booth, snacks. They even made one of his favorite treats, which is cosmic brownies. So if you're him, oh, that sounds...
Starting point is 01:00:15 No, just, you know. I know. The brownies with the sprinkles. If you're him, do you still want her to go to regular problem with someone else? Or, like, by herself with close friends? No. You don't? No.
Starting point is 01:00:28 I mean, I think she should go with friends. Yeah. But she may choose to stay and hang out with you. Well, they don't have to be at the exact same time. Right. I know. Stay and, like, just be with you that night. I think I would want her to go with her friends and experience.
Starting point is 01:00:40 You don't want that. No, because if you're supposed to be a date, you're supposed to do what your date's doing. You don't go separately. No, but they already had their prom for the hospital workers. I get it. That's what I'm saying. So you had your prom and then, oh, you know what? Your prom is cool, but I'm not going to have fun with my friends.
Starting point is 01:00:55 It's a real prom. Yeah. I just wondered, you would say no, you would say. Yes, go. Yeah, I'd say go. Eddie? Yeah, go. Why not?
Starting point is 01:01:01 And then Lunchbox, you'll love this part. The hospital staff made Austin and Hannah. Prom king and queen. Just like you. No, no, no, no. He cannot go through the rest of his life saying he was prom king. Was he? He was.
Starting point is 01:01:13 He was. He was. He was. All right, Amy, good story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
