Come on, Bobby. Welcome to the show. We had a great weekend at IHeartRadio Music Festival. We're a little loopy, but we're good. Morning, studio.
Starting point is 00:02:08 Morning. Okay, so I'm going to give you guys. to get to know you question that we do on Monday think about it. So what's something that you can do pretty well, but it's useless? Like something you can do, it's a skill. But it's useless? Pretty much useless. Yeah, like there's really, what do you do it for?
Starting point is 00:02:28 I know, I'll go first. I have a couple, but I would say juggling. I really spend a lot of time learning how to juggle. Pretty useless. It's pretty useless. Like, I invested a lot of time in learning. I don't ever juggle professionally or compete in juggling games or anything. But every once in a while I'll rip it out and be like, wow, but it's pretty useless.
Starting point is 00:02:44 So something you spend a lot of time learning. Eddie? I'm pretty good at puzzles, like jigsaw puzzles. But, I mean, what am I going to do that for? Why are you good at it? I don't know. I think, like, I used to spend a lot of time in bars and they used to have those games. You know at the bar?
Starting point is 00:02:57 Where they give you, like, a bunch of pieces and you put them together. It's kind of where I got good at it. Lunchbox? I mean, running a fast mile. Like, I mean, it's useless. Like, now it is, especially? Especially now. Like, I mean, I get it when I was in high school and I was running track, but I'm still pretty fast at running, but it's, it doesn't do anything.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Do you still try to run fast, though? Yeah. I still try it. And I'm like, oh, that's a good time or I wasn't very good or that wasn't a good day. But it's like, it gets me nowhere. Like, it doesn't do anything. It gets you a mile down the road. But it doesn't get me an award.
Starting point is 00:03:29 I'm good at ping pong. I think if you play all three of us, you would lose to all three of us. Really? Yeah. Why do you think I'm not good at ping pong? I play ping pong all the time with my kids. I've never heard this. Because we don't talk about it.
Starting point is 00:03:44 Ping pong? There's no way. I played ping pong as a kid and I played ping pong as an adult. I still. At the same time playing ping pong. Pink pong. Do you think you could beat me at ping pong and I don't play ping pong ever? You play ping pong ever? No.
Starting point is 00:03:57 We had a ping pong table. I gave it away because I never played it. Okay. Well, I have a ping pong table at my house if you want to play ping pong. Well, first of all, stop saying, first of all, stop saying ping pong like that. Because it makes me laugh. Second of all, if you come up with this, I'm happy to play you.
Starting point is 00:04:12 A bet? Yeah, but if you're claiming, you're good at ping pong. Yeah, because then, okay, so that means if I lose, I have to do something. Well, that's what a bet is, yes. That's how it works, because you claim it to it. And if you lose, you have to. I'm happy to, yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Can we play ping pong live on the radio? That'd be fun. Bring it in here. I don't know if we have room. I don't know. Do you really think you're good at ping pong? I really do think I'm good at ping pong. Do you think I?
Starting point is 00:04:35 I think I have an abnormally sneaky. backhand. I'm not hating on you. But I shouldn't tell you that. I've never heard of you playing ping pong. It's just kind of out of nowhere. You've been at my house and played ping pong.
Starting point is 00:04:50 You had one pool party. There were too many kids there. I played for like six seconds. I was like, I'm out of here. The way you didn't see Amy just holding serve on the table? I didn't. Amy, is this a moment where you just didn't have anything? Because it can be that.
Starting point is 00:05:02 It can be that where you didn't have anything. Don't walk yourself into trouble here. I'm not. Because if we get into a game, I'm going to whoop you. I'm also really. really good at throwing a spiral football. Like, when you throw the ball, it doesn't wobble. It's perfectly spiral.
Starting point is 00:05:16 She can hit a golf ball with both. I spend time practicing that. Why does it always be... Oh, good one. With her, why is it always athletic thing? She can't even walk down the hall, but she's great at athlete. She's a good free throw shooter, too. Lundrax brings up a good point.
Starting point is 00:05:27 I am ambidextrous when it comes to sports, and that is... You're equally bad both ways? No. No, I can golf left or right, and I can bat left or right. Okay. And I am good at free throw. We already did this years ago. I was supposed to get however many out of 10.
Starting point is 00:05:44 If you ever want a ping pong bet me. We went to Vanderbilt. I did it. Do y'all remember that? I did it. Yeah. Okay. Thanks for the game.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Playing him, Amy. It's easy money. But is it money? You can think about it. Think about it. I'll think about it. Yeah, Bobby has to pay you. You have to do something embarrassing.
Starting point is 00:05:58 You have to do pillory on the side of the road. Are you sure? You haven't played. Yeah. You know how much free time I have every Tuesday night. I'm the league. I'm in a ping pong league. Can you pick a ball?
Starting point is 00:06:07 I have it in actually months. months? Yeah. Months? Yeah. Maybe like weeks. No, months, months. All right, we're here.
Starting point is 00:06:15 Well, we started this show off with the bang. You can tell we're a little loopy. I can also wrap, well, that's kind of wrap the bare-necked ladies one week. It's been. Yeah. But I haven't done that. Can you give it a go? You know, it's kind of useless.
Starting point is 00:06:27 It's been a while. Give it a go. Yeah, I mean, it's impressive, actually. It's to start the week off. I mean, I don't think we have an instrumental, but I would be like, chickety China, the Chinese chicken. You have a stick in your brain, stop sticking. Watch the X-Files when the lights on. or Della Mesawn.
Starting point is 00:06:39 I hope the Smoky Man's in this one like Harrison Ford I'm getting frantic I say it's early. Why did you stop? You know, I don't think anybody's coming to the show for that today. Yeah, sneakers guaranteed to satisfy.
Starting point is 00:06:53 Like, could I saw I make mad films? Cat don't make films. But if I did they have a samurai in a set of clubs, you know the kamatani nevester somers and always flying off the back swing. Okay, anyway, we're playing the song here. Thank you all.
Starting point is 00:07:04 Useless half. Thank you, Amy. Fing pong champion. Let me know if you want to get back into that. You spend and he It's something Hello Bobby Bones
Starting point is 00:07:17 My boyfriend of two years Spins all of his time at home gaming I ask him to do simple things Like put away laundry Or do the dishes And he always puts it off Until I do it
Starting point is 00:07:27 Or I have to bug him repeatedly I've told him That I'm gonna move out If he doesn't start carrying His weight around here But he thinks I'm joking I love him
Starting point is 00:07:33 I don't want to leave him over this How do I get through his thick skull I'm not as maid or his mom Signed girlfriend of a gamer She sounds like a real fun Well, no, he sounds like a child. She needs him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:45 No, he needs her. Yeah, he's, she's... I understand how you can get wrapped up. Oh, I have sports games that we play. Our little group plays them. Well, so when you're going a little too hard on it, what do you do? Do you have self-awareness or does Caitlin have to tell you? Both.
Starting point is 00:08:00 Okay. So, mostly my self-awareness is when she makes me aware. Right, right, right. Of myself. That's when you're aware of it. You know, I don't spend a ton of time on the PlayStation. I do, mostly if I can't sleep at night, I get up like in the 1 a.m. 2 a.m. time, a little bit in the afternoon, maybe. But we just make sure to carve out,
Starting point is 00:08:18 instead of take time away from something, like gaming, what you should do with him is make sure that you have time to put into something, like be deliberate about your relationship. So there's even such thing as a chore list. You'd be to him like, hey, I don't want to have to nag you. So I'm just going to put the chores here every day that you have to do. You can play your games, whatever, that's fine. You've just got to get these done. So I don't want to interrupt you. This is her boyfriend, not a child. Hey, I don't want to interrupt me. Hey, play stupid games, one stupid prizes.
Starting point is 00:08:47 That's what's happening here. And this is all he does all day? Well, I'm sure he has a job too. It's probably just once he gets home, that's all he does. And then secondly, you need to carve out a time on your calendar for you guys to do what you do. Or you can just carve out his gaming time, but if you address it like that, he's not going to react well. But he obviously spends way too much time gaming for your comfortability. So you need to make, you need to treat him like a kid.
Starting point is 00:09:09 And we need to get these shorts done during the day. You can play here. It's all fine. I want to interrupt your time. But at night, we've got at least spend 90 minutes together to here. Eventually, does he catch on and you don't have to treat him like a kid anymore?
Starting point is 00:09:18 No, no. You'll always have to do this? Probably. Oh, man. Yeah. New version of Doom comes out. Start over. Is Doom still a thing?
Starting point is 00:09:27 I don't know. But it's tough because if you just yell at him, he's not going to listen. You have to slowly change him one small step at a time. And yes, you can probably break him from this cycle. Have a kid. Is some of it? That's how you do it.
Starting point is 00:09:41 That is it. No, I would not recommend that Because now you're taking care of two kids And you're thinking about moving out Like, don't add a baby to the mix But also, could he be using the video games to numb out from something? No, you don't need video games to numb out You can, but no, he probably just likes playing them
Starting point is 00:09:57 Or he's just trying to tune her out No, I literally think people just like to play video games Okay I don't use mine to numb out I use mine because I want to freaking beat Eddie at NBA 2K I want to get my guy good so I can beat him Well, you're saying there's a chance I guess but he's too young
Starting point is 00:10:11 to be numbing out. What about taking the controller away? Like hiding the controller. And then when he said, have you seen my controller? I'm like, actually no. But can you do your chores first? Yeah. I mean, like I found it.
Starting point is 00:10:21 Yes, I know where your controller is and the lockbox is there and you'll get the code if you do the chores. Oh, see, the idea I thought was like you're going to hide the controller and you put it at the bottom of the laundry basket and say, man, I don't know. But maybe if you can put your laundry away and then he puts it away and boom, there. There it is. But that would be so rude. Don't do that. Yeah, I do the lockbox. I'll give you the code.
Starting point is 00:10:40 it's like I've seen parents do notes like you get the Wi-Fi code once you finish your chores yeah it's tough that's a tough thing to break I mean that this does sound like I literally took my teenage son's remote controls
Starting point is 00:10:52 and brought them to work with me one day during the summer because it's all he was doing this guy's acting like a kid too again be a kid act like a kid you treat it like a kid you can treat them like a kid a little bit
Starting point is 00:11:01 until you break them all right there you go thank you that's the mailback close it up We got your email Lunchbox ran into your ex-husband Really? At the grocery store
Starting point is 00:11:16 And it was all, he made it all awkward. What? No, I didn't make it awkward. I saw him. You don't think he saw you? I don't think so. What'd you do? I dove beyond the salad bar.
Starting point is 00:11:26 Oh my gosh. Why? Oh, man, I saw him and I was like, uh-oh, I don't want to have to tell him. I'm team Amy. I don't want to have to. There's no team. He'd come up and ask. Hey, what team are on?
Starting point is 00:11:35 No, but you got it. Like, if there's a conversation, you have to lead with, hey, man, I'm just on, I'm on team. I'm on Amy's side. Like, I work with her. Why would that be in a conversation? There's no. Because you have to plant your flag so they know what team you're cheering for.
Starting point is 00:11:49 But also, I'm on his team. We're coping with together. We're a team. I get it. I get it. I'm team Amy too. But y'all stop that. There's no teams.
Starting point is 00:11:57 I know. There's not. But I'm team. I saw him like come around the corner of an aisle and I was standing over by the salad bar and I was like, oh, wow, down to the ground. You went down to the ground, like butt on the bottom? That's so awkward because you know he saw lunchbox to do that. Not butt.
Starting point is 00:12:12 But I mean, I got like my hand. Were you by yourself? I was by myself. Now I'm going to have to text him and be like, did you see lunch? And then so I kind of, you know, kind of creep back up to look. He had his back turn. So then I creep through him. He sees lunch his eyes come over to Salabar and then go back down.
Starting point is 00:12:24 And there's people probably like, what is this guy doing? Because they were at the salivar, but I was like, I don't know how to handle this. Like this is so strange and weird. You've known him for almost 18 years. You say hi. I understand Amy. But like, what do you usually say when you say hi? Hi.
Starting point is 00:12:39 I'm on Amy. And then it's like, so how's it been going? That's not a conversation you're supposed to have right now Okay So it was just very like ooh So then I kind of crept around the store And avoided CNN Don't think he saw me because he didn't say hi
Starting point is 00:12:52 No chance he didn't see you if you're ducking behind a bar I mean for sure saw it You know what had been weird is he'd come around the bar And I'd been on the like down Oh yeah And I'm like hey man what are you doing I was high my shoe How's it going?
Starting point is 00:13:03 I'm team Amy Yeah Okay well so just heads up He ran into your ex-husband I'm the first one to see him in the wild man And it was Ray have you seen him? No, no, I haven't golfed them yet.
Starting point is 00:13:14 But that wouldn't be like in the wild if they had plans. Yeah, they had planned. No, I just want to if I had seen him, though. Yeah. I haven't seen him in the wild. I've seen him in the while. When? I saw him.
Starting point is 00:13:22 I didn't want to make a big deal with. Oh, no. Oh, no. I didn't. I did. And you know what I did? The opposite of lunchbox. I said, what's up, man? I said, how's it going?
Starting point is 00:13:29 Oh, see, you can't say it. No, it's like, I'm doing great. Everything's good. Did you start with, I'm team Amy. How's it going? No. I did not. Was it a little bit awkward?
Starting point is 00:13:37 No, not at all. I mean. If you're saying I mean, then it's a little bit. I felt a little awkward because I didn't know how I was going to react because I didn't expect to see them. Exactly. But it was great. It was great. We caught up.
Starting point is 00:13:49 We, you know, shared some stories and things and then we went out. You shared stories? Yeah. Why are you stuttering? We, we. Well, it is awkward. We caught up. We caught up.
Starting point is 00:13:58 We caught up. I understand if you're meeting up with that person so you kind of know going in. But if you just see them, it's like, uh. I mean, I get it. I run into him at the grocery store before and I'm like, okay, what do I do? But he was also with our kids, so I went said hi. Amy ducks behind the salad bar of what your kids too. She thought about saying not saying hi, but the kids were there.
Starting point is 00:14:18 No, I would have said hi. What if you eventually you see him out with a girl? That's different. That could happen. Well, because those you guys go to the same yoga place, isn't that what you said? Yep. That has to stop. Amy.
Starting point is 00:14:28 Why don't go as often? He goes every day. You should never go. Every once in a while. I'm sorry. You had to be. He planted the flag. Yeah, he claimed that spot.
Starting point is 00:14:36 You move on. Right. I guess I could give him a heads up. If she was with a girl, maybe, do you say like, hey, I'm his ex-wife? If he was with a girl. Yeah, that's right. Yeah. Hi, I'm Amy.
Starting point is 00:14:44 I'm his ex-wife. Yeah. Oh. No, I don't do that to him. Do you just say, hi, I'm Amy? I honestly. I have not thought about this at all. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:14:55 I either, yeah, turn around and walk away or I'm like, hey, well, I just get out of there. You know, you're telling me it was awkward for me to get out of there. You know, y'all are asking. you if I see him with like an like an like I don't date. What if you're with a dude and he's see and he's by himself and he doesn't see you yet but you're with the dude? I run away. You grab the dude run out? No I didn't know. She leaves the dude too. It's an awkward situation. Yeah this is all first time. There's going to be first for everything and that was my first. I got mine out of the way. I don't. I have oh dude you just get way I mean that you better have something to hide. Always be
Starting point is 00:15:31 thinking like where am I going to always take a bush with me just in case I can hide it. Be ready to tell him what side you're on. First things first. Well, that's what I'm going to do. He's like, hey, man, team A-B! And then run. That's not going to happen. All right, hey, whatever. We're back. Hope you guys had a great weekend.
Starting point is 00:15:46 It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. Okay, I got a really cool kidney donation story. So a couple years ago, this little girl, Parker, she about four years old, she was diagnosed with stage four chronic kidney disease. And her preschool teacher was like, oh, let me see if I'm a match. I would donate my kidney to you.
Starting point is 00:16:09 The preschool teacher's name is Kim Miller. Well, I guess she wasn't a match, but she decided to still donate her kidney in Parker's name. And so that donation earned the family a voucher that moved Parker's name to the top of the National Kidney Registry. Like one of those bed bathed bond coupons, a big ones? 10%? Yeah, you get that.
Starting point is 00:16:27 I didn't know you could donate in somebody's name and he helps them. And then earlier this month, on Parker's sixth birthday, her family received the good news that a living donor had been found. Do you even need a voucher? Aren't you just like in a database? Because you have to like show up by the piece of paper. No, this is from a kidney.
Starting point is 00:16:42 But you get, there's a certain level of the list. There's a list. Yeah, but I'm saying a voucher. It's like a real piece of paper. I'm saying, do you? Oh, I just should be like a, you know, I want to give you a ticket.
Starting point is 00:16:52 Where's your voucher? Yeah. In the computer system. Like give a little asterisk. Got you. Got you. Got you. Got you.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Got you got. So I just thought that that was really cool. The surgery is scheduled for October 4th. It is cool. That teacher's giving up a kidney. Amazing. The family is... It's something Eddie's always wanted to do.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Yeah, Eddie, dude, you could donate an honor of someone and get them a kidney. Yeah, I've been thinking about it. Something I've always wanted to do. Harold. Harold needs a kidney. Harold needs a kidney. Yeah. But you also might be a match to Harold.
Starting point is 00:17:19 Maybe. Just got a check. Okay. All right. Well, that teacher, great. That's awesome. Kim Miller. That's so just selfless.
Starting point is 00:17:27 And everybody would be praying for Parker on October 4th for the surgery and the donor. because I don't have the donor's name, but it's a 40-year-old donor from San Diego. It's a living donor. Really? Awesome. All right, that is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:17:42 A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clipper Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way,

I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me?
Starting point is 00:19:19 The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed, I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe. on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wadam.
Starting point is 00:19:47 My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up.
Starting point is 00:20:10 through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat just had.
Starting point is 00:20:40 Hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. You guys want to play this sing it wrong game? Come on. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:55 I'm ready. So I'm going to sing this song wrong. It's back in the category of one hit wonders, like the last time we played. You just got to guess the song. But if I were to go, all that I can say is that my life is pretty. Plain. Oh, that's Jimmy World. No, that is no rain by Blind Melon.
Starting point is 00:21:15 That would be correct. Yeah. You're getting really good at this. So I didn't give you that one. That would be too hard. That was way too hard. Yeah. Because he goes, All I can say is that my life is pretty plain.
Starting point is 00:21:30 When you see it that way, I know it. I like watching the puddles gathering. All right. All right. You got five of them. Come on. I'm ready. Four or five.

Starting point is 00:24:20 What was the name of the song, though? The proclaimers, I'm going to be, parentheses, 500 miles. I'm going to be. When I wake up, well, I know I'm going to be the man who wakes up next to you. All right. So, Lunchbox 3, Eddie 2, Amy 1. This is crazy. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:24:34 Next up. Here is a little song I wrote. You, my want to sing it. Not for note. Here is a little song I wrote. You might want to sing it. Amen. Singing it very interesting.
Starting point is 00:25:05 Oh, no. There's an accent there. Here is he little song. Hold on, hold on. It's like scarface. Three seconds. Hold on. Two.

Starting point is 00:25:39 Yeah. He was like, don't worry. I was going to say Bob Marley. All right. Come on. Two left. All right. Come on me.
Starting point is 00:25:50 This is the story Of a girl who Cryed a river And drown the whole world This is a story Of a girl who Cryed a river And drown the whole world
Starting point is 00:26:22 Can you name that song? Singing it wrong. That's a church song. This is a story. Yeah, that's what I have to, Amy. You know what I'm talking about? This is a story. Yeah, I think that's it.
Starting point is 00:26:38 This is a song. No way. I think that's it. Waiting. Yeah. Five seconds. Chris Tomlin. This is not it.
Starting point is 00:26:47 Shut up. This is a story. A hot girl who cried a river. and drown the whole world. All right, time. The side part is I don't even miss her. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:02 There's a girl. Yeah. It's kind of, yeah. That's right. I don't even miss her. Yeah, that's right. Okay. Lunchbox, what do you have?
Starting point is 00:27:09 I have Jimmy World Photograph. Eddie. Story of a girl, Kenny Wayne Shepard. No. Amy. Nothing. Nothing. It is, and don't play the club yet.
Starting point is 00:27:20 It's from a group called Nine Days, and it's called Absolutely Story of a Girl. And so I say, this is a story. I know. But here's that it goes. This is the story of a girl who cry a river and drown the whole world. And while she looks so sad and photo.
Starting point is 00:27:36 I don't even miss her. I actually love her. I was with you on that. Dang. Okay, last one. Here we go. Eddie's up. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:27:45 Whoa, Eddie can't be up on me. I think we're tired. Yes, I was in the middle of saying that. Relax. Chill, dude. God dang. 4-4-3. Amy, you're in the last place.

Starting point is 00:28:24 My lady. Come, come. My lady. You are. You. My butter Flah I didn't you know for sure?

Starting point is 00:31:20 Give it to us. Mainly me. Ready? Yeah. Buzz in at any time. Okay. This one will be a little easier because we need this bit to go.
Starting point is 00:31:30 Okay? Come on. Here we go. I am a model. You... I don't know what you said. I'm a model. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:31:50 Hand dice. Lodgemont! Rice said, Fred. I love you. I'm too sexy. I'm too sexy. I'm too sexy. I'm my shirt.
Starting point is 00:31:59 I'm a model. You know what I mean. And I do my little turn on the catwalk. On the catwalk. That's his favorite song. Yeah. Eddie, you went, I'm a auto. You know what I mean?
Starting point is 00:32:23 I didn't get it. Lunchbox, winter. Nice. We try to warn you guys up scams. And we tell you how we almost got tricked, how our friends got tricked. And we go, scam alert, scam alert. And there's so many scams out there that sometimes we're watching so hard that we let life just go right by us. And I got a couple examples here.
Starting point is 00:32:44 Now, I'm not saying you should fall for every Tom Dick and Harry scam out there. None of them actually. But I do want to start with Eddie because Eddie said he got a letter and the letter said, hey, we're the government and we want to give you $3,000. And immediately I would go, scam alert. It was called unclaimed property. Scam alert. Eddie, don't fall for it. So what the email or what the email?
Starting point is 00:33:05 the letter say to do? It said, go to this website, whatever the website was, fill out all the information, we'll process it, and you will have your check in, I don't know, five business days. And so you went to the website. And at first you told us it was a dot org and we were scared. Right. But I double checked it. It was a dot-gov, which made it a little more safe. How much money did they say you would get? $3,000. Now, how do we feel? Do you think Eddie got the money? Yeah, I think that this is... But how would he get $3,000? What do you mean, how? It depends on... That's a lot of money. I know, but they, anywhere that you've lived, Sometimes there's money left over that they owe you for some reason.
Starting point is 00:33:38 I don't know where it comes from, but you can even type in all the different addresses where you've lived and start collecting money. And they send it to you. I've gotten it before. What's the most you ever got? Oh, it's in the hundreds from each places. My mom and my dad both have passed away, but I've looked at their stuff. And they have money in Texas.
Starting point is 00:33:56 But they do. I know, but they said that all I'm working right now and me and my sister proving that we're the rightful heirs. You're a fight for the will. Eddie, you went and you typed it in, and then what do they say to you? They said, don't worry about it. Your check has been processed. Yes.
Starting point is 00:34:11 And then? And then I checked the mailbox. Boys, I got my check. Yeah. For how much? $3,000. That's crazy. That's pretty good.
Starting point is 00:34:21 I got my money. That's crazy. You all need to go to this website and see if you've got property unclaimed. Any state you've lived in. We'll send in the link. I have some, but some of them aren't the address I've lived it, but it's my name.
Starting point is 00:34:32 Yeah, but... Interesting. It has to somehow match up. Go for it, buddy. Oh, just as long as you swear to God, they'll give it to you. Hey, I will tell you what's really scary is you had to send pictures of your social security card and all that stuff. I don't remember having to do that. No, I never had to do that.
Starting point is 00:34:46 Well, you never got the money, though, like he did. Yeah, I've got it money. Maybe they just paid him $3,000 for all his information knowing that they would sell it all in the dark web. Don't say that. Yeah, like Bobby, you could look in Texas, Tennessee and Arkansas. You got $3,000. $3,000 in Kazaz. You can get your teeth fixed now.
Starting point is 00:35:01 Yeah. I don't think about that. It's not where my mind went. Oh, yeah. Okay. Now, another scam sort of alert. Scam alert, scam alert! Scamp alert! Except not a scam.
Starting point is 00:35:13 What happened to you, Amy? Guys, I really don't know what to do because my friend, Kat, got this text, and she knows we talk about scams on the show all the time. So she's like, look at this text. Should I reply? I was like, oh, that's totally a scam. Do not reply. What the text say? It was from her bank.
Starting point is 00:35:28 But I was like, in air quotes, your bank, okay. and they needed her to confirm some transaction, like confirm or deny or whatever. And if she didn't respond, they were going to freeze her card. And her card got frozen. Because you told her not to, then she didn't. Yeah, I was like, don't send anything.
Starting point is 00:35:47 That's a scam. And then it turns out it really was her bank reaching out to her and they used her card and it didn't work. And that's because they were like, well, we didn't know if it been stolen. How do we know the difference? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:35:58 That's my thing. Like there has to be a better system because it looks. When your friend does air quotes like, bank, you know? Right. So I wasn't a scam because I got the one that says, hey, your debit purchased for $1,132 has not been approved.
Starting point is 00:36:13 You need to call us. That's scam. Well, right. So I didn't do it. So I would think it's the same thing as Amy's friend. I wouldn't do it. I don't know. It's getting too confusing.
Starting point is 00:36:23 Yeah. It's getting, yeah, it's too hard. I mean, sometimes I'm even scared. Like, even if I know I've ordered something from somewhere and I get an email, I'm like, shoot. I probably need to click. on it because then what if it's not going to make it to me, but then what if this is a scam? It makes you not want to click on anything.
Starting point is 00:36:36 Yeah, I don't click on anything. Freeze my cards all you want. I'll just call and warm one back up. But I ain't, general rule, I ain't clicking on anything. Oh, yeah, okay. Even when we do our St. Jude deal at the end of the year, we're like, text into this number, you'll get a link back from St. Jude. And it is real, but I have to be like, that link's okay.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Yeah, that one you have to be. Because bad guys have ruined it for all of us. Right. Okay, we're looking out for you. So scam alert. Not a scam. Bobby, speaking of that, you have $53 waiting for you. What, you looked at Bobby?
Starting point is 00:37:06 $53.4. Where? In Nashville. Oh, and then, oh, whoa. Oh, my gosh. Bones, you got a lot of money waiting for you. You got $486 from Austin, $26.30 from Austin. And those are the...
Starting point is 00:37:23 What about? Wait, wait. Yep, another $54.99. Man, you got like... What about? $600. Fox. Arkansas. I haven't got to Arkansas. Those are just Texas and, uh, keep scrolling. No, those are all people that, uh, don't know them. But yeah, so you got 600 in Austin.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Let's see, Arkansas. Man, I'm, I get half by the way for finding this. Finders. I don't think about the finder's thing. Dang. I always get got by the finder's here we go. All right. Oh my goodness. Whoa. Well, uh, you guys are making a lot of noise if you're not saying anything. There's one right there. I see it right there. No, no, no. That's, that's, Oh, no, that's not you. That's your sister? Yeah. What is she got?
Starting point is 00:38:05 You got 50 bucks. Zero to 50. That's not even an oh my God one. Well, I saw a lot of your last name. Someone says over $100. Arkansas does it weird. It gives you a range. It doesn't tell you exactly how much.
Starting point is 00:38:16 Do I have any like in the million? Oh, I don't think so, dude. Wow, there's a lot of people with your last name there. You should look and see if you. A lot of bones is living around there. Yeah, a lot of bones. Okay. Well, congratulations.
Starting point is 00:38:27 Thank you. Sorry, you did that to your friend. That's not a good friend. Okay. Thank you. This is Joni from Pittsburgh. I'm watching Building Roots, the new episode, season two, episode one. I just wanted to tell Amy, I'm so excited.
Starting point is 00:38:40 And her sister just seemed so much more relaxed this season and confident. And it's just wonderful to watch. I can't wait to finish the whole season. Thank you. Love you guys. So there we have at Building Roots, Amy's Sister Show. Yeah, which my episode was last night. Really?
Starting point is 00:38:55 Yeah. I didn't see it. Yeah, it's okay. You can stream it. I didn't know. We would tell how Radio Music Festival. It's not too late. We can still watch it.
Starting point is 00:39:02 I feel bad for that lady. She's got nothing going on in her life. She's watching that show. Lunchbox is mad because he thought he was going to be on last night's episode. He said he was promised. They told me I was a segment. Producers met with him about potentially having him be the A segment. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:39:18 So now you admit they said A segment. Potentially. Yeah, see. It was a meeting. You sure they didn't say a segment? Bobby, as someone who does TV shows, does producers meet with potential? They do 500 and tell you 500 things and like three things work out of 500. And why didn't they want lunchbox in the end?
Starting point is 00:39:32 And then they just ghosted me. Never even told me I was out. They just moved on. I don't think he knew he was going to have to pay for certain things. He also had a hole in his roof. Like he was looking for repairs. Not renovation repairs. But that's part of renovating is fixing things.
Starting point is 00:39:45 But people want to see the makeover. Yeah, not just like. Yeah. And so that's, and yes, I'm proud of my sister. She is more confident this season. All right, here we go. Here's another one. Hi, Bobby Vaughn Show.
Starting point is 00:39:58 I have a morning corny for Amy. what did one chip say to the other chip? Let's salsa. I love it. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So I have four habits that might be exhausting you. Like you wouldn't think they're making your tire, but they are. Working out.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Tick-Tock at night before I go to bed. I have Tick-Tock time. That's what I say. I need my three T's. Tick-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T. Yeah. Need me three T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Well, waiting too long between meals. In general, you shouldn't go more than five or six waking hours without eating when you go longer than that. Your body starts craving food and you're more likely to eat quick stuff and then you end up having a crash afterwards because probably high in carbs. But anyway. That sounds so fun. What? What you just said to happen? I have IBS.
Starting point is 00:40:46 I always feel full. Oh. It sucks. I hate it. So when people are like, oh, I'm so hungry. You get mad. I'm like, you don't even know what it's like. Yes.
Starting point is 00:40:56 All right. What else? Another habit that might be exhausting you is working at a messy. desk because working in a cluttered area is distracting for your brain, which means it takes longer to complete tasks and takes more mental focus and energy. Well, unless you're putting your energy in other places and you're not worried about the desk being messy. Yeah, I'm not worried about my desk.
Starting point is 00:41:13 All right, go ahead. Oh, this one's me, having too many tabs open on your computer because like a messy desk, having 20 plus tabs open, it puts your brain into overdrive and it increases the odds of you getting distracted. And then lastly, watching emotionally charged television shows. When you do that, it can be over. stimulating, especially if you're binging, and so you may have to watch your energy levels. Do you guys have a go-to show right now? It used to be the office for me. It's not really anymore,
Starting point is 00:41:37 but do you have a go-to show if there's nothing on or there's nothing to do, you just throw it on. Oh, gosh, yeah, friends. I don't have one right now. Signfeld. Mine's TikTok time. T-t-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T-T. What else? All right, do you know how much it's costing us to raise children these days? Oh, don't tell us. I know. It's depressing. Five bucks a day. Yeah, I wish. The cost of raising a child is getting more expensive every year with new research showing that the average cost is $237,000 from birth to 18. It's making me upset.
Starting point is 00:42:11 That doesn't include college. Oh, my goodness. That's 18 years old. I can pay for that. But what if you do all generic medicine? Yeah, exactly. I think it's still the same. Oh, dang.
Starting point is 00:42:22 I mean, it also varies, like, where you live, the most expensive state to raise a child is Hawaii, but it varies all over the country. but just when I saw that number, I'm like, okay, we got to start. Well, you got yours at how old was, uh, yeah. True, I adopted at seven. You saved a lot of money, ain't? You saved a lot of money. Margin shopping, good deal.
Starting point is 00:42:39 Yeah, but adoption costs money. I think I paid for that in like, you know, some people are like, oh, you just go adopt and pick it out. I'm like, well, yeah, it's a long process and it's expensive. So 30% of people say that they would trust AI to pick out their clothing. I think this is one way where I definitely want to use AI. Because that's one of my most stressful things, waking up in the morning and getting picking out clothes like I hate it.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I would use AI. I use CE right now, which is my wife's initials because what she will do is she will hang clothes up in order of darkness because I'm so colorblind with dark colors. Then I know the farther right I go in different parts of the closet. That's black versus dark blue versus dark. So I'm definitely okay with somebody telling me what to do. I just have struggle with dark colors. Yeah, we want AI to pick out our clothes, order things online for us like items, grow, trees and then, yeah, eventually we're going to be on board with just driving us around.
Starting point is 00:43:33 I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of story. It's time for the good news. Oh, it's Bobby. Tell me something good. Her name is Cynthia. She lives in Coventry, Rhode Island, and she noticed that kids in winter were struggling because they were cold. It's cold up there. In wintertime, some kids just couldn't afford a coat or a new coat or they were wearing an old crappy coat that had holes in it.
Starting point is 00:43:59 So a couple years ago, she started. to knit hats and scarves and then she would donate them and then she started to buy a coat here or there for people which then got up like 44 coats then she was like okay look i'm doing all this myself but i think other people want to help so she started accepting donations and she's the coat angel by the way that's her name the coat angel she has now in her third year donated over 590 coats the coats are labeled by size and gender have been packed in dozens of boxes are stacked neatly in her garage and at one point of the year but because as it gets colder, it like fills up her house.
Starting point is 00:44:33 Wow. Because she's collecting them new or gently used and that the kids need to, and she don't want to be embarrassed by them not having one. So she just gets a one and they go about their way. I love that. That's pretty cool. The code angel. If you were an angel of something, Amy, what would it be?
Starting point is 00:44:51 Good question. My children. The mommy angel. Okay. Lunchbox. Angel of aroma. What? Interesting.
Starting point is 00:44:59 Different smells. I mean, some good, some bad. Amen. That's a good one. A lot of aroma. Eddie? I guess it's have to be a daddy angel, right? I don't like the word daddy.
Starting point is 00:45:09 I mean, I'm a daddy. That'd be the angel of neurosis. What does that mean? He's neurotic. I'm the angel of neurosis. Here to make you crazy. No, Eddie would be the angel of hard work. Oh.
Starting point is 00:45:21 He does work hard. Hard work and angel? That is a compliment. Nice job. Thank you for that compliment. Angel always busy. Now I know. What?
Starting point is 00:45:28 I'm the angel of emotions. There you go. Emotions of all kinds. like his aromas. Amy, you could be a bird angel. Or that. All right, that's a good story. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:45:39 That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey,
