Starting point is 00:03:06 Yeah. It is. Get a little nervous, getting real. I've been trying to. I've been trying to name my emotions because I feel like that's important and I have a lot. What do you name this one? Well, I'm nervous. Excited. I think that the nerves are excitement and sort of a lot of curiosity because it's
Starting point is 00:03:28 I'm going into this unknown territory and I'm just going to be awesome. I'm just going to be fun to see what happens. It's going to be awesome. Well, tomorrow, Amy, you'll leave during the show. But we have Chris Jansen coming in and just. a few minutes. Full band set up in here this morning. So we're going to go ahead and do the mailbag first and then Jansen's going to play a couple hits, a couple new
Starting point is 00:03:45 songs. So here we go. Let's open the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. Hello, lo, lo, lo, lo, lo, lo, lo, Bobby Bones. My husband said another woman's name his sleep.
Starting point is 00:04:05 I probably wouldn't think anything of it but the name of the woman is Sasha which is also the name of our nanny I have no reason to suspect my husband or nanny of doing anything shady behind my back but I cannot stop thinking about it I have not brought it up to him yet
Starting point is 00:04:24 so I wanted to ask your opinion if it's worth bringing up am I overthinking this signed wife in Wyoming well I would have a bigger problem if I didn't know the name he was saying you would if I'm being honest yes because Sasha, I don't know if that's a real name or not, is in your life every day. So you could be having a dream about anything that's happening in your life every day. Yeah, like Sasha, go get the baby.
Starting point is 00:04:48 Or, I mean, I don't know that I have not said Eddie or lunchbox or Amy's name in my sleep. Please say you've never done. No, I'll say my name. But I could have been dreaming about something at work. And I'd have been like, Eddie. Eddie, get the video. Yeah, but your wife would be like, why are you saying that? Exactly.
Starting point is 00:05:02 But it's something happening in my normal day-to-day life. Now, if I'm sleeping and I yell, Tabitha. Really? That's the name? I don't know. I don't know it Tabitha. Then I think I would be like, well, that's suspicious. So I would say because it's Sasha and it is your nanny, I probably wouldn't say anything about it right now.
Starting point is 00:05:23 Time two, I think you bring it up. Oh. What's the problem in bringing it up even first time and just being like, do you know what he said? Are you going to do these laughing things again where it's all creepy? Do it. Go ahead. You're like, oh. Did you know you said Sasha's name in your dream last night?
Starting point is 00:05:40 Didn't? No, you did. No, I didn't. Why would I say that? Yeah, you did. Then it's the whole issue. We don't have to get defensive. It's nothing.
Starting point is 00:05:48 But you can't control what you say. That's awesome. Did you know that you said that? No, obviously, I was asleep. Well, sometimes you recall your dream and he might be like, oh, yeah, we were. We can make that up real quick. I'm just saying that don't get upset. She's in his life every day, just like the dog.
Starting point is 00:06:05 is just like somebody at work. If it becomes common, then I think you should probably fire Sasha. Ask a question. Ask a question about it. But right now, wife in Wyoming, you're good. All right. You're good.
Starting point is 00:06:19 All right, thank you. That's the mail bag. We got your email and we let it on your air. Now it's about to close Bobby's mailbag. Yeah. The Bobby Bone Show. Big three stories. Tornado ripped through Kansas near Wichita,
Starting point is 00:06:34 hundreds of buildings and homes were destroyed. Several people injured. They said thousands are without power right now. And other news, Amber Hurd is set to testify this week in that defamation trial. She also fired her PR team because she said she was upset with the headline she's making. And finally, such sad news. Naomi Judd died at the age of 76. She also was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame this weekend. They said she was having a battle with depression. On the Bobby Bone Show now.
Starting point is 00:07:04 What's up, buddy? How are you? Hey, brother. I'm doing great. Thank you for having us on. We appreciate it. It is good to see you. I mean, I watch some of your clips. I mean, I'll follow you on Instagram. So when you do these live shows and you're doing a live show in like a leather jacket, and you're bouncing around, I'm like, that jacket's about to come off because this guy is sweats. He's got a lot of energy. But you do, you will go up and you will pound for pound do more exercise, do more running around than anybody I've ever seen in country music. It is wild to watch you do a live show, and it's fun to watch. watch all the comments from people who see you for the first time.
Starting point is 00:07:37 Thank you. And they're like, wow, that's so good. So before you're going out, like, is there like a stretch, something like stretching routine you do? It's so physical. There's not typically, historically. However, it's funny you should ask because the other night we were on tour and we were in Missouri right above the Arkansas line, as a matter of fact.
Starting point is 00:07:54 And I got on stage and I did this high kick out of middle of nowhere. And I really, it was about third song in. And I, to be honest with, I really had wished I had stretched. Well, you're getting older, too, you know? Correct. We're all getting a little bit older. Right, you forget. You know, you forget these things with, like, as the road takes its toll on you, and then you get
Starting point is 00:08:12 up there and your high kick, I'm like, oh, my God, here's the good news. I sort of did pull a muscle in my leg, but more than that, I ripped the whole bottom of my pants out. And so I was literally just, I was up there doing my deal, and I went, oh, crap. Legs closed. Oh, crap. And I wasn't wearing underwear, and I had to get some, I know. You were wearing jeans with no underwear?
Starting point is 00:08:32 Yeah, well, I've seen the jeans with no underwear. Yeah. Well, I just seen the jeans. Kelly makes me wear on stage? Well, they're tight, yes, but I would think that would not be a good rub. You know what I'm saying? Well, it just was that way that night. So I had to get some gaff tape from my guy over on the side of the stage, Jason.
Starting point is 00:08:48 And then he was like, here, I'll get it. And I was like, no, you definitely won't get it. So I had to tape myself up. But it worked okay. So I just played the rest of the night looking like I had, I just had a big loop of tape on my leg. It's funny that you tore your pants. you weren't wearing underwear and you didn't have a change of pants. Like, couldn't someone run to your bus and grab some shorts or pants or something?
Starting point is 00:09:11 Well, it was the cruise bus and I didn't have any of my clothes on it. And so, no, I didn't. I had a pair, but they, of course, weren't at the venue. It's like when you need a pair, they're not there. Couldn't your drummer give you his pants? He's behind a drum kit. You know what I mean? Technically, he could.
Starting point is 00:09:25 Listen, I mean, I would have pulled the Blink 182, but, you know, it's like in country music, you just didn't, I don't think many people would have related with that. Well, you guys need to see Chris Live. It's such a great live show. Thank you. And we have a full deal here. The stage is covered with instruments and I appreciate you guys bringing the whole crew here. So Steve, right? That's your name? So Steve, as somebody plays a fiddle or violin, depending who you talk to and the style you play, I feel like, and do you feel like everybody has to know the first part and if so, of Devil went down to Georgia? Come on! Yeah! All right, right? And your bassist, your name is
Starting point is 00:10:08 Josh. Now Josh, do you know, I'm all the famous part. small the answer man. Oh, don't worry. Chris has got a good band. I'm ready to do some fun stuff. Dude. And Chris, if you don't mind, would you mind taking us away with a little song? Well, I ain't rich, but I damn sure want to be. Yeah, working like a dog all day. Ain't I working for me? Well, I wish I had a rich uncle that would kick the bucket.
Starting point is 00:10:43 I was sitting on a pile like Warren Buffet. I know everybody says money can't buy happiness But it can buy me a boat I mean a truck to pull You can buy me a Yeti 1 10 eyes down with silver bullets Well I know what they say Money can't buy everything Maybe so
Starting point is 00:11:14 But it can buy me a boat Okay, now we're loose. Everybody loose? Everybody feeling good? All right. Now, let's go to present day. You just put out this album all in. Yes. People can get it. You can stream it right now. You know, some of the things that stood out to me on this album.
Starting point is 00:12:17 One, you gave your people a lot of music. And you know where I learned that? When you got that little image and all the songs kept going here, these are doon, and it never stopped. And it's great because you gave them like 16. Is it 16 songs? 16 songs. That's a lot of music.
Starting point is 00:12:29 And I imagine you cut that down from even more than that. that. About 35, yes. What do you do with the other songs? Get pitch them to other people, hope other artists will cut them. And some of them just go away and they don't ever really get hurt again. They just get shoved away. Sounds like a waste to me. Eddie and I'll cut them.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Right Eddie? We'll do it right now. Yeah, we'll record them. I would be greatly honored, honestly. Oh, we're kidding. You're too serious, right? I'm dead serious. Chris Jansen is here, he's got the record all in. I did see there was a song on it too that you and Church wrote together, you and Eric Church? Yeah. How did that write come together? I was, so I was in the elk hunting woods with my youngest son, Jesse, and we were listening to the elk bugle about 545 in the morning.
Starting point is 00:13:09 I got a random text message, and I would have never checked my phone other than thinking it was Kelly or the other kids. And I picked it up. It was church, and he had a little voice memo and a little bit of a snippet of a song. He said, what do you think about this? And it was just a half done thing. And I loved it. I said, I love this. So I just threw it out there.
Starting point is 00:13:29 never written together for us. I said, why don't we just, would you let me co-write it with you and I'll finish it? He said, absolutely, I'm in. So I think he, as a matter of fact, I think he said all in, no pun intended, but that was before we even picked the album title, but that was kind of a cadence along with this album. People kept saying, and so I said, okay, great, so I finished it, and then we had our first co-write together. It was pretty amazing. And where do you go? Do you go to like his house? And is it full of, like, sunglasses and... Well, no. No. I guess it could. He's got a whole Rayban store you walk through. It said he walked in.
Starting point is 00:14:01 We'd like you to stop with a gift shop first. No, it's, honestly, it was so, Eric's so chill and so easy going. And we have very much alike, I think, is why we get along. It's so good. We have a lot in common. And he just texted me that, and I said, could you send me a lyric? Immediately. I mean, this is early in the morning, which was kind of crazy.
Starting point is 00:14:19 He was traveling on the road, so I get it. And he sent me what lyric he had. And then we just literally, I just started typing back and forth, which is, you You know, during the pandemic, it's how I wrote a lot of the songs in this album. Got it. I wrote them over FaceTime. I wrote them over email or the phone, frankly, because if you weren't with somebody, you had to get it done somehow.
Starting point is 00:14:38 So that's how we got it done. The song is called Flag on the Wall. I'm going to play a little clip of that here. This is from Chris Jansen's new album All In. And again, here is Flag on the Wall. All right, Chris Jansen is here. He's got the full band. I would like to hear something new.
Starting point is 00:14:53 I don't know if you have any of the new stuff prepared for us. Great. You do? Absolutely. Okay. Well, let's hear something from the new record. What do you have for us? Thanks. I'll do the real bass pro, spelled R-E-E-L Bass Pro.
Starting point is 00:15:04 And I just love this song. And I sad this morning, my youngest son, Jesse,'s not here to sing it with me. He's been getting up and singing it with me because he thinks this is his theme song, which it kind of is. So here we go. This will be the first time I ever played it live on the air. The smell of an old two-stroke on a 12-foot boat early morning on the river. Calm on a fresh-cut feel. and a white tail running in mid-November.
Starting point is 00:15:45 A blaze orange cap laying up on the dash low, riding down an old farm road. Yeah, that's the real truck duck bucking bass pro. Because there's a little slice of heaven where I shot that 11-point buck with a double drop time. And you ought to see a wiper plopper on the top water come Saturday at sunrise. Everybody who knows me
Starting point is 00:16:11 Dang sure knows I'll be 20 foot high In a tall white oak That's the real truck A buck and bass pole Christensen's here live And I think we need to make a distinction Here for our audience
Starting point is 00:16:31 Who, if they turned on right in the middle Will you say the chorus Just speak the words, please Sure Be glad to There's a little slice of heaven Where I shot that 11 point buck With a double drop time
Starting point is 00:16:43 And you ought to see a wopper plopper on the top water comes Saturday at sunrise. Everybody who knows me dang sure knows I'll be 20 foot high in a tall white oak. That's the real truck, duck, buck, and bass pro. There you go. So my question is, as he's
Starting point is 00:17:00 jamming it, it might not sound like that if you're just passively listening. All right, Chris Jansen is here. We're going to come back in one second. We're going to do a couple more songs. We're going to do another hit, and then you've got to give me something else new from the album, okay? Deal? Deal. Chris Jansen's here. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:17:15 And that's the real trucking... No, no, no, don't try it. Okay, all right, all right. All right. Back in a second with Chris Jansen. Tractor Supply knows life out here is better with pets. They carry the name brand food, treats, and toys that you trust. Plus, offer unbeatable pet services, like the ability to talk to a vet 24-7 in the app.
Starting point is 00:17:34 Visit Tractor Supply with your pet today. Go! On the Bobby Bones show now. Chris Jansen. Okay, well, let's get to what we knew we had to talk about. is where Lunchbox started a beef with you on the air for the dumbest reason. We did not agree with him. We felt he was being ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:17:52 So just know that, Chris. Thank you. We thought he was out of his mind. But he tried to RSVP for five people, including his three young kids, to an industry event where there aren't a lot of young kids running around. Zero. Right. Zero. Good. Good answer. Lunchbox, what would you like to say about this?
Starting point is 00:18:08 No, it said All In. Like it said... Oh, that's the name of his album. Right. But it said, come be all in with Chris Jansen. So that means everybody come, all in. So I said, all right. It said it's going to have eats and small bites and drinks.
Starting point is 00:18:21 And I was like, great. Take the family, listen to some music. It's right at dinner time, 5.30 p.m. to 8. And I was like, that sounds good. But it's a work event. And all ends the name of the album, not every, why not just open the doors for anybody in town? Well, because it's an exclusive thing for industry people and their families. Obviously, when it says all in, not everybody got the invite.
Starting point is 00:18:39 It's sort of like a birthday party. You get invited. You don't just let everybody in. only the secret that are invited. And I feel like Chris Jansen is a family man. Yeah. So, hey, Chris, has anyone ever did plus four on any of this stuff? Not just the kids, but has anyone ever said, I'd like to come plus four?
Starting point is 00:18:55 Well, I must say, first of all, I had no idea that anything was going on until I saw the potential beef. And Kelly showed it to me on Twitter. I don't look at RSVP list. I've never done, I don't even know what that is, frankly, and I've never reserved to one myself. I would assume not that there's probably never been a thing like that, but I don't know. He is correct on many points.
Starting point is 00:19:20 I am a family man. I do have a loving heart. I will say this too. Many people forget that he did me a great deal of service back in 2013. When not a whole lot of people cared, he made it a point to come and be in a music video with me for a single call Better I Don't.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Do you think, though, he did that for his own good? Chris, let's be honest though for a second. Do you think he did it for you or for him? them both okay here's the thing that's okay because i can appreciate that here's the thing but my way my question is so so did your kids go to this thing i only had one child with me way wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait wait let him talk hang on hang on hang on let me say my peace okay not the johnny debt trial okay um so that was a good one so i'm um jessey was backstage, but he was
Starting point is 00:20:10 backstage. And I just want to say publicly in front of the whole Bobby Bones listening audience, the Bibone Show listening audience, that you know me, and anytime you ever need anything, you know you can personally reach out to me because I'm that kind of person. He doesn't need anything, Chris. I know he doesn't. And you're right. We know we can reach out to
Starting point is 00:20:27 but he doesn't need. He's starting to take advantage of... Well, was it take advantage or take my family to something that's awesome to preview new music? He had an album coming out. Yeah, because you're one-year-old wants to hear a new Jansson's music. He's so into the real-month-old really likes music. Here's what I want to say. Here's what I want to say. First of all, when I heard about it, I laughed. I thought it was funny. Second of all, I did that because I know you. And thirdly, I did bring you this. I'm
Starting point is 00:20:54 just going to go ahead and open it so everyone can see. This is a gift card. To Ruth Chris Chris. But I want to say something. Hey, they got small eats there. I want to say one thing. They've got small eats, big eats, and everything in between. And drinks. And I'm going to ask them to play all in over the P.A. Thank you very much. They're going to, they're probably going to do it. And here's the last thing I want to leave you with. I want to say for the listeners out there, because some are going to go, well, honestly, I can't believe you did that. Here's the thing. If you treat people with kindness and humility, always, it always comes back to you tenfold. There's one thing I learned about Pimp and Joy in this studio is that you do learn this. I am, I am
Starting point is 00:21:30 correct on that. You do learn this. But I also want to say in the same regard, I'm not rewarding bad behavior. I'm taking it. I'm taking this as a as a old friend messing with an old friend. And I really do think it's important that you should try one of these great buttery stakes. And I'm not even selling this to you. I'm giving this to you. So I hope you enjoy dinner on me. But most importantly, I hope your kids. I hope it's not their bedtime. He's not going to end up taking them. He's going to go with his wife and probably like two buddies. No, he's going to take it. I'm going to make sure he takes his kids because I got people at Ruth Chris that I know who are going to let me know. Oh, my kids will go.
Starting point is 00:22:05 Chris, and I hope this is not asking for too much information. How much is that gift card? I'm not even going to tell you. Yes! It's a $200 gift card. You're out of your mind. From one good friend to another. So dumb.
Starting point is 00:22:17 This is rewarding. I like what Chris did here, because we have a beef. He got me somewhere where I can go get beef. That is what he did. But you have to come up here and get it. Yeah! Let's go! You have to come receive it from your friend.
Starting point is 00:22:31 He has no shame. Hey. buried the hatchet buried the hatchet There was no hatchet He created this whole thing You created the whole feud And then you got paid for it
Starting point is 00:22:43 Hey the beef Has been sizzled That's not a saying I know The beef has been sizzled Is not a thing Okay what do you want me to say The beef has been leaned
Starting point is 00:22:52 The good news is if it If radio doesn't Which it's working out But if it didn't work out You just run for politics Because you're again You're doing things And you're getting rewarded for it
Starting point is 00:23:00 This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen Because you're too good of a guy No, hey, you know what? Thank you. But I love your lunch and I love this whole, I love this whole crew. I'm mad at you and I need a Lamborghini. But this is probably the only artist that would this. Lunchbox does not need to continue try this with every artist in town.
Starting point is 00:23:17 It's what's the beat for the week? Yeah. All right. I didn't try this. We're going to happen. We're going to move on. Chris, would you please play us a song. We'd love to.
Starting point is 00:23:25 All right. Here's Chris Jansen. He's got a new album out called All In. We'll get to something new in just a second. But first, what are you going to play for us, Chris? I'm going to play Fix a Drink because it's coming up on summertime, and this feels like a summary type song, and it was a big number one, so we're thankful for that.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Here we go, Fix a Drink. It's hotter than hell outside right now. It's a hundred in the shade when the sun be standing. Forecast calls for some more of the same. Well, I can't fix that. But I can fix a drink. Oh, yeah. And killing it today.
Starting point is 00:25:31 New Records Out, called All In. I saw you did a song with Travis Trit. Yeah. Pretty cool. Well, you ask him to unblock me on Twitter. Are you serious? He's locked me a couple times. I don't know why. All of a sudden look over. And he's like, so just put the word in and be like, hey, what's up? Done. Thank you. Lunchbox gets a roots, Chris card. I get unblocked by Travis Tray. We're both winning here. Okay, done. That's all I'll say. Done. Hey, you got that song too. So how did you and Travis Tray get together for a song?
Starting point is 00:25:56 I'm sorry? How'd you guys get together for a song? You know, we're both opera members. Of course, I and so many people love Travis's music. Man, David Lee Murphy and I and a couple other buddies got into an actual face-to-face coat, right, over the last year. We wrote a song called Things You Can't Live Without. We were writing it. I was kind of messing around with David Lee. Of course, David Lee Murphy dust on the bottle, David Lee Murphy. And I said, hey, man, I'm going to get Travis to sing this in me.
Starting point is 00:26:23 I hope I'm going to ask, and, you know, it's a long shot, but whatever. And we did that little thing with Cadillac 3. So a while back. So there was already a little kinship there, and me and Travis had a mutual respect. Anyway, long story short, I just text him. I said, would you consider doing a duet on my new album? He said, well, send me the song. So I sent it.
Starting point is 00:26:39 He sent it back. And he said, oh, yeah, hoss, I'm in. So we did it. And man, he just absolutely crushed it. Here's a clip of Things You Can't Live Without. It's Chris featuring Travis Trett. That's things you can live with. That's from the new record, all in.
Starting point is 00:26:58 How about you give us something new, though, to end this? We've been playing music. We've been blowing it out here. for us. Thank you. Yeah, this has been fun, man. Gosh, thanks for letting my band come to. Band. Awesome job. I'm going to play one called We Did It Anyway. This song, we just shot a video for this. We've been shooting videos for a lot of the songs we've been dropping up until the album release, actually, which I've been really proud of. But we did it anyway. It's a simple ode to
Starting point is 00:27:25 the way that I grew up playing field parties in the Midwest and living that lifestyle. So this one goes out to all my rural community country friends back home in southern Missouri and And right here in Tennessee too and all around the great United States of America Here we go We wake up put our boots on in it straight to that hay field on that no cab tractor sweating every summer We lace up our cleats and put our helmets on twice a day Even though that farmer's bank sign said a hundred Yeah, we were out in the dirt
Starting point is 00:28:10 It didn't matter how much sweat was on our shirt No, we did it anyway It was the only way we knew We did it all way Just like they told us a night to do We drank a beer, we had a chew We got a wild out at the moon We were way too young to care what people say
Starting point is 00:28:30 Yeah, we wouldn't have it any other way We did it anyway We did it anyway We did it anyway There he is, come on Chris Jansen Got a new record All in
Starting point is 00:28:51 It's 16 tracks It is high energy It's also very emotional It runs you all through the roller coaster Just like a live show Just like the person that gave lunchbox A $200 gift card To roots Chris
Starting point is 00:29:03 For no reason at all Man I gotta say Gotta go stream that album everybody I mean this guy is one of a kind He makes a mistake and he steps up And you know he figures it out That may have the best investment You ever did was giving him 200 bucks

You always come in and give us everything you have and we leave going, holy crap. So great job, as always.

And again, Lunchbox, what should people do? You got to go stream All In, Chris Jansen, wherever you stream music.
Starting point is 00:29:38 I mean, download it, buy it, go buy concert tickets, buy merch. Dude's amazing. He's holding up his gift card as he's saying this too. Like people at home can see it. Let us hear this. That's the gift.
Starting point is 00:29:48 It's called the beef being sizzled. Okay. Okay. Okay. Okay. Now I get it. Great investment. You're going to get way more than $200 out of that. Okay, that's it.

Anytime I can bring awareness to the challenges that farmers have and the ups and downs and I love that. It never, you know, I can talk about it for days and it never feels like, like labor to me.
Starting point is 00:35:14 It just feels like I'm preaching about something I believe in. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This couple, Sheena and Justin, they were driving to their hometown. Little Valley is the name of it.
Starting point is 00:35:30 In Northern California, there was a huge snowstorm. They were just trying to get back home. And so the snowstorm got big. bigger than they expected or could handle. So they spent the night in the car because it couldn't drive anymore. And they were like, well, we got to go. Somebody's got to go try to find help or to get us out of here. So they both go hiking and they get split up from each other.
Starting point is 00:35:51 Well, he continues on, finds a truck. Takes a couple days. She's like, I'm lost. I'm going to go back to the car. She's back to the car and hangs out. Well, all that was in the car was like a six pack of little yogurt. She was stranded in the snowstorm for six days. Wow.
Starting point is 00:36:04 And she survived on just rationing a six pack of yogurts, eating one per day, and then eating snow because it wasn't any water. So she's doing yogurt and water. Everyday sheriff's deputies and the U.S. Forest Service searched for her on foot. And then when it got a little less snowy, they used a helicopter. Six days later, the vehicle was located by a sheriff sergeant. They didn't know if she'd be alive or not. And she was. She'd been eating one yogurt a day.
Starting point is 00:36:26 Good health. Now safely back home. What do you do in that time, like, just to kill time? What do you, you just think about, I'm going to die on a die? All the hits. Kiss FM. You're not turning that car on. You're not. Maybe if there's any gas in it, occasionally, you turn it on to get some heat.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Yeah, just a little bit. Wow, that's crazy. Hopefully I have full tank of gas in that thing. But yeah, you're probably going, I don't know if I'm ever going to get out of here. So, great story that she survived. Love to sharing it. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Amy leaves today and heads to Hollywood.
Starting point is 00:37:02 What? It's happening. You're going to be acting tomorrow with a major actress. Oh, it's going to be awesome. It's going to be exhilarating. It's so nervous. I can't wait to hear all the stories. Yeah, I have the nerves. I have the excitement. But I'm trying to stay focused, working on my lines over and over on my flight. That's what I plan to do, study. Well, they may change your lines up last minute, obviously. Yeah. So we're going to do a little acting here, me and you. We'll get you loose. Oh, gosh. We want to hear what you got. You want to hear the chops? Yeah. We pulled a scene from Twilight. So I'm Bella. So yeah, take 30, 45 seconds a minute, look over it.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Okay. So Amy has, oh, she was just chilling one day, and she was sitting next to me. And I got an email going, hey, I'd like to talk to Amy about being in this movie. And I was like, okay, it's awesome. Is this real? And it was like, yes. Why Amy? Well, we think she fits the role we're looking for.
Starting point is 00:37:56 And so I didn't recommend Amy. A movie company came calling. Wow. And so Amy's going... It's crazy. What? It's the whole thing. When I hear you say it back, it's just still so crazy.
Starting point is 00:38:05 She'll be on a set tomorrow acting with a major Hollywood star. It's like I've said for years there's like a bucket list item and then here it is happening. It's like manifestation of its finest. So we'll hear the story's probably Thursday Friday. Right? Yeah, yeah, yeah. Can she post from the set? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:38:24 I don't know any rules. I've seen some of the people in the movie. I've seen them on Instagram posting picks. But they don't say what they're doing. It's just that I know what they're doing. You know what I'm saying? Famous people? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:36 That's so cool. Okay, so we're going to act it out. Lunchbox, you heard it today, buddy? Yeah, I don't want to. You can't say anything. Whatever I do, he's going to be like, this is awful. Do you want to review this? Yeah, I'll critique it, Amy.
Starting point is 00:38:48 I'll be honest. I've always been honest with you. What do you mean? This isn't acting? Here we go, Amy. Let's do it. You're going to be Bella. I'm going to be Edward.
Starting point is 00:38:55 I don't know this scene. Guess what? When you act, you don't know the scene. You've got to create the scene. I know the script I'm working on. I understand the whole what I'm supposed to be doing. I understand the scene. I think it's when they, what do they?
Starting point is 00:39:07 They just meet here? First meeting between Bella and Edward. Okay, so they're just meeting. I'm the guy. I'm Batman. Except different movies. This is not going to be fun. Okay, go.
Starting point is 00:39:18 Okay. Ray, if you'll kill that music, please. This gets to be a pretty intense scene. All right, lunchbox. However, they do it in acting world, set us up here. Action! You're impossibly fast and strong. Your skin is pale white and ice cold.
Starting point is 00:39:32 Your eyes change color and sometimes you speak like, like you're from a different time. You never eat or drink anything. You don't go out in the sunlight. How old are you? 17. How long have you been 17? A while. I know what you are.
Starting point is 00:39:48 Say it out loud. Say it. Vampire. Are you afraid? No. Okay, well, then ask me the most basic question. What do we eat? You won't hurt me.
Starting point is 00:40:01 Where are we going? We're going to go up that mountain. Out of the cloud bank. You need to know what I look like in the sunlight. This is why we don't show ourselves in the sunlight. People would know that we're different. This is what I am. It's like diamonds.
Starting point is 00:40:15 You're beautiful. Beautiful. This is this going to have a killer, Bella. I'm a killer. I don't believe that. All right, there you go. Scene. There you go.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Cut, I think they say, right? Seen. Cut is when you mess up. Remember when we acted together when I made us reenact the Hunger Games trailer? No, we don't care about a thing from YouTube 20 years ago. Lunchbox, go ahead. Amy, you're not believable. You're laughing the whole scene.
Starting point is 00:40:39 That's true. It was pretty intense. I noticed that. I don't know it was an idea. I don't know the scene. That's what I'm saying. I thought she was being a little playful. Lunchbox, you want to do the scene with me and show our house down?
Starting point is 00:40:50 Oh, my gosh. Okay. Here we go. Now, this is how you do it, Amy. Okay, can't wait. Hey, I'm taking notes. I don't even know what Twilight is. Yes, you do.
Starting point is 00:41:00 It's a vampire movie. Okay, here we go. Is it Robert Pattinson? Is that the one? And you're Bella, Kristen Stewart. But you can still do it. Yeah, I can do it. I mean, I don't need 30 seconds.
Starting point is 00:41:09 You're a female. Yeah. You don't have to do a female voice, though. Yeah, I'm not going to. Okay, Amy, you have to tell us on to go. Action. You're impossibly fast and strong. Your skin is pale white and ice cold.
Starting point is 00:41:22 Your eyes change color. And sometimes you speak like, like you're from a different time. You never eat. Or drink anything. You don't go out in the sunlight. How old are you? I'm 17.
Starting point is 00:41:34 How long have you been 17? A while. I know what you are. Okay, then say it then. Say it. Say it out loud. Say it. Say it. Vampire. Are you afraid? No. Okay, then ask me the most basic question, because I know you want to know.
Starting point is 00:41:55 What do we eat? You won't hurt me. Where are we going? Going up that mountain right there. Out of the cloud bank. You need to know what I look like in the sunlight. This is why we don't show ourselves in the sunlight, Bella. People would know that we're different. This is what I am.
Starting point is 00:42:11 It's like diamonds. You're beautiful. Beautiful. This is the skin of a killer, Bella. I'm a killer. I don't believe that. Steve! Wow! Hey, you brought up the best in me too.
Starting point is 00:42:24 That's strong. That's strong. Wow. I wanted to make out. Wow, I was feeling it. Stop that. We didn't want to make out. Okay, never mind. Wow.
Starting point is 00:42:33 It's drawing to you, Bella. What are we got to say about that one? That's good. Huh? We're out of the room. What do you think? That was really good. I didn't know lunch's voice could get that song. Exactly. Wow, that's good.
Starting point is 00:42:47 Great job lunch. Yeah, good job, Bobby. Maybe I should go to Hollywood. We didn't ask you, though. Amy, what did you learn from that, though? That's the question. I don't. You watch the pro over there.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Oh, I felt the emotion, I guess. I need to tap into more of the emotion and understand the scene because his was a little bit more dramatic, whereas I thought it was like a lighthearted exchange, but I guess not. No, when you're thinking you're going to get eaten, I don't think it's very lighthearted. It's true. You'll be great.
Starting point is 00:43:17 Lunchbox, nice job. Everybody, good job. I'm going to Hollywood. Bones, good job. Oh, good job. I just read lions. For inspiration to reach your goals, join Ben Nempton to get on track to make the seemingly impossible possible.
Starting point is 00:43:33 Register for the May 5th event at expressprose.com slash express talks. Attend for a chance to win a career coaching session with me. Let's go over and talk to Randall who has a question and I guess a comment about lunchbox. Hey, Randall, what do you have, buddy? Hey, big lunchbox. Congratulations on your role in the movies, my man. Oh, thank you, my man. Oh, wow, my man, my man, my man.
Starting point is 00:43:56 So in case you haven't heard, Amy got a big movie. You know, she's going to Hollywood. And so then someone called and said, hey, I'm doing a little independent film. And they'd like to offer lunchbox a roll. And he was offered it. It was a villain in a spaghetti Western. I guess that's what you call. Short film. Yeah, short film.
Starting point is 00:44:15 And I was going to have to fly to somewhere in Ohio. Chill of Kothi, I believe. Getting to Hawaii. I was going to fly somewhere else, get a rental car and drive to show a coffee. Got it. That's right. And get paid. ate $150 a day.
Starting point is 00:44:28 And I said, Yes. Did you commit on the air to doing it? I said, I think I'm in. Because I mean, one small role in a small movie leads to a big role in a big movie. Okay. Well, I've been thinking about it. And I don't know if I'm ready to commit to the movie role.
Starting point is 00:44:43 I got a call with my agent today or tomorrow. You have an agent? Yeah. Who? That's your wife. Don't worry about. You have an agent? Yes.
Starting point is 00:44:52 An acting agent. Legit, legit? Legit. Go ahead. Yeah. Legit legit. And so he's been out of the country on vacation and I didn't want to... This is such.
Starting point is 00:45:00 There's no chance. This is true. But go ahead. I am going to have a call with my agent and we're going to discuss it and see if he thinks this role is right for me. If I may be bigger than a small time movie because I'm starting to think after thinking about it, I think I may be a little bit too big for this role. But I'm going to get my agent's opinion. And I, because I respect his, you know, business savvy when it comes to acting in the industry. so right now I'm kind of leaning towards out, but it depends what my agent says.
Starting point is 00:45:30 What do you need to do it? I probably need more money, probably a bigger role, more screen time, better transportation, things like that. Oh, like helicoptered in? Yeah, I mean, more money. If they're offering you $150 a day, what do you want? Probably, I mean, Amy was, what are you going to get, Amy? I'm getting the sag amount. The sag minimum, which is $1 a day.
Starting point is 00:45:49 Okay, so probably at least $1,000 a day. You need $1 a day. So it's only not about your wrong. role. It's about getting more than her. Yeah, I mean, I have more credentials, and I have more of a resume. You do? You've taken some Zoom classes. Okay, what is Amy taken? But again, you haven't actually done anything
Starting point is 00:46:05 for a resume, like you have no work. You're not okay. He was in that Chris Jansen music video a while back. Yeah, that's true. You got that. That's true. I was also in, um, I was on Jerry Springer. I was
Starting point is 00:46:19 I mean, in like 1998. Have you told, the woman who called us. No, I didn't want to tell her because I didn't want to crush her without talking to my agent first. Once I talk to my agent... Okay, can I say I firmly believe
Starting point is 00:46:35 Lunchbox does not have an agent? That is in another country on vacation. But Bobby, he takes acting classes on Zoom. They may have hooked him up with an agent. Exactly. Thank you. Amy. Stop. What's your agent's name rhyme with, Lunchbox? Ah, rhyme. I'm not good at the rhyme
Starting point is 00:46:51 game. You're not? No, hold It's not a game. No, I'm trying to think what... Trying to think of a name, huh? No. First think of a name. Like Bill. Ryan. Go pill.
Starting point is 00:47:01 Ryan. Yeah, Ryan's good. Waxon Dews. His name's Braxon. Jackson. Jackson Hughes. Okay. Okay.
Starting point is 00:47:09 Guys, lunchbox, let me know when you talk to this agent. I'd like to see a picture of him, too, if that's cool. Okay. Does he represent anybody else? I don't know his other client list. You don't know his other client list? Did he have a website? I don't ask about this.
Starting point is 00:47:23 How do you not know his other client list? That's why you sign with somebody. Who else they can't go to your doctor and say, hey, who else do you treat? No, you can't do that. But a doctor and a patient's, an agent uses many of his clients at one time for leverage for other clients. Yeah, doctors can't do that. You want like Tom Hanks's agent. Oh, wow, I'll do that.
Starting point is 00:47:42 Because it's like, hey, Tom Hanks will do this? But you also add this person and this thing. I mean, I don't think he's going to come to me and be like, I'm Tom Hanks' agent right off the guy. Yes, it is. They do. Yes. Okay. That's the deal. Randall will let you know. Lunchbox is in negotiation, obviously, as you can hear. And we'll update you guys soon.
Starting point is 00:47:58 All right. Thank you, lunchbox. A 34-year-old, vegan in England, who is very much into his health. He drinks his urine and he swears it's the secret to eternal youth. No. No. Okay, I agree. No. I absolutely agree. Yuck. I agree. What if it was? Yeah. It's waste. How could it be like...
Starting point is 00:48:19 But it's clean waste. Yes. Waste. Yeah, and I'm not fighting for it. And don't take this as that. I'm not planting my flag and drink your urine. But if this is proven to be true, I'll do it. I'll do it.
Starting point is 00:48:31 I drink stuff that probably tastes worse at times. So he's saying it's going to make us live longer or just be young looking? His name's Harry. He claimed he drinks his own urine daily, saying the stomach churning practice has cured him of depression and made him look 10 years younger. It's from the New York Post. All right, spin the wheel. I mean, we've heard that about urine before, like even,
Starting point is 00:48:51 Maybe like applying it to your face? That's doable. Oh, no. Better than drinking it. Just the fact that you'd go doable. It's still as gross. My point is that let's not hate on them. Oh, let's hate on them.
Starting point is 00:49:07 I'm trying to find out. Good try. But if this ended up, they were like, yeah, you know what's got. There's something to it. We'd be like, oh, maybe we should. Maybe put a little sugar in it. Oh, that is gross. All right.
Starting point is 00:49:17 Here is a voicemail from Joe Lynn and Adriana in San Marcus, Texas. Morning studio. Morning. Go ahead, Adriana. Hey, Mom. Did you hear about the kidnapping in my school?
Starting point is 00:49:29 No, what happened? He woke up. Full routines happening here. She's giggling hard. Chocolate brownies and yellow cake. There you go, I said it. Sounds really good, I'm sure. There's no denying.
Starting point is 00:49:43 These desserts are delicious, but it's Sonic. They believe that these classic American flavors are actually their best before they're even baked. And guess what? They're going to prove it Now, introducing the brownie batter shake, which is so good, and the yellow cake batter shake, which is also so good, maybe even better,
Starting point is 00:49:57 available only from Sonic. These two decadent creations are inspired by flavor straight from the mixing bowl, and once you get a taste of that rich, chocolate brownie batter, man, if you love brownies, this is it. Or sweet yellow cake batter mixed with their 100% real ice cream, you'll be scraping that cup, right there, getting every bit of it. But do not wait. Brownie batter and yellow cake batter shakes will not last forever.
Starting point is 00:50:20 They're only available for unlimited. time. And you know this. It could only be from Sonic. That's right. Something that's decadent only from Sonic. Try one for half price when you order online or like I do in the Sonic app. Half price if you use the Sonic app. Easy. Exclusions apply. See after it tells. Limited time only at participating Sonic drive-ins. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So there's this guy that looks like Will Smith, so he's turned it into a business. For 25 years, he's been going to parties, weddings, corporate events. impersonating Will Smith.
Starting point is 00:50:53 Pretty successful at it, but ever since the slap at the Oscars, he says that his popularity and his income has nearly doubled. I wonder if you pay him extra, slap you. Or I bet he's doing, even if it's no extra, I bet he's doing a lot of pictures where he's like got his hand up against the face. Where people are like just chilling at the office
Starting point is 00:51:11 and Will Smith came by and slapped me. It's mandatory. Like that would be funny. One time we hired at a radio event a Ringo star lookalike. The Beatle? The drummer. And he came and he came. Everybody thought was Ringo Starr, and it was hilarious.
Starting point is 00:51:23 And then they got real close to him. They're like, oh, you're not Ringo. But from like 10 feet, like, you would have thought it was Ringo Stahl. Yeah. It's crazy. That's funny. Well, this guy, again, he's doing it for 25 years. And because of how successful he's been, when he was only 21 years old, he was able to buy his first house off of this gig.
Starting point is 00:51:41 And then now drives, like, really nice cars. And he's not doing too bad. He doesn't look like Wilson's that much to me. You got to pull a hat down. He said he's even getting stopped on the street, getting asked. about the slap and stuff. Okay, if 10 is, he looks exactly like Will Smith, 6.8. Oh, that's not great.
Starting point is 00:51:58 Mike, what do you put it at? You saw him? Yeah, I probably met six. Oh. Mm-hmm. Doesn't look. Again, if you squint and you hold, yeah. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:52:08 So I have things that people experience as kids, like most of us in this room, that our kids today, they just will never understand. Like having to look at the TV guide to see what's going to be coming up on TV. Like flipping through it and reading for it. So like the paper version. Yes. Yeah, because even now the guide button is starting to be a thing of dinosaur past. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Because most things that people are watching are on streaming services. But to go to guide that's like, all right, what's coming? That feels. I haven't done that in years. I just need a way, what I need is a new guide that if I type the first couple letters of a show, it tells me what streaming service it's on. There you go. And I go to the internet, sure, and Google it and do all that.
Starting point is 00:52:49 But I need, if I'm on, just go booboop. There it is. this service. You can do that. There's a search button on your smart TV. If you go to the far left, there's a search, you type it in. It tells you everywhere you can get it. I don't use the TV smart TV. I use Apple TV. Oh, I don't know anything about that. Yeah, yeah, I don't use anything on the TV except the actual television. I'm like, how does Lushbox have this? I know. Why is he telling us this? Using a pay phone in general, but someone shared a specific example of needing to be picked up from school and like going to the pay phone outside of the school, calling your parents collect and saying,
Starting point is 00:53:20 pick me up and hanging up really quick before they get charged. That was the move. You would leave your message in the message they would hear when they were deciding whether or not to accept the message. Yeah. So when I get called from prison, they'd be like, I'm breaking out. So I would know to be ready to have the door on lunch. That's good. Yeah. Using encyclopedias for research projects, the Dewey Decimal Card catalog, and then 20 pound CD cases. The Dewey Dei decimal stuff was terrible.
Starting point is 00:53:46 That was awful. But CD's rocked. Yeah. All right. What else? Gary LeVoc says that Rascal Flats passed on flyover states and don't you want to stay. So two different Al Dean songs. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:01 So you're trying to start a feud? Well, no. But I guess the guy that wrote them or if there was multiple people, either way, they brought it to Gary first in Rascal Flats. And they were like, no, we'll pass. And then they took it to Jason second. And they were massive hits. Well, those stories are always fun. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:54:16 I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this teenager, Austin Roberts in Nebraska, was in a car accident. Devastating.
Starting point is 00:54:32 It was in the hospital, had to miss prom. So what did the hospital staff do at Nebraska medicine? They put together a prom for him at the hospital for him and his girlfriend, Hannah. They had everything, a dance floor, croissages, a photo booth, snacks. They even made one of his favorite treats, which is, cosmic brownies. So if you're him, oh, that sounds. No, just, you know, I know. I'm just saying. The brownies with the sprinkles. If you're him, do you still want her to go a regular problem with someone else or like by herself with close friends? No. You don't. No. I mean, I think she should
Starting point is 00:55:07 go with friends. Yeah, but she may choose to stay and hang out with you. Well, they don't have to be at the exact same time. Right. I know. Stay and like just be with you that night. I think I would want her to go with her friends and experience. You don't want that. No, because if you're supposed to be a date, you're supposed to do what your date's doing. You don't go separately. No, but they already had their prom for the hospital workers. I get it. That's what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:55:28 So you had your prom. And then, oh, you know what? Your prom is cool, but I'm not going to have fun with my friends. It's a real prom. So she can. Yeah. I just wondered. You would say no.
Starting point is 00:55:36 You would say, go. Eddie? Yeah, go. Why not? And then Lunchbox, you'll love this part. The hospital staff made Austin and Hannah. Prom king and queen. Just like you.
Starting point is 00:55:47 No, no, no, no. He cannot go through the rest of his life saying he was prom king. Is he? He was. He was. He was. He was. All right, Amy, good story.
Starting point is 00:55:55 That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. Hey, Bobby Bones here, and I know you've seen the tragic news. Sadly, we have to share another death with you guys. Amy, coming over to you. Well, we lost a country music legend this weekend. Naomi Judd passed away on Saturday at 76 years old. No cause of death was immediately given, although in a statement, daughters Wynona and Ashley,
Starting point is 00:56:20 attributed their mother's death to the disease of mental illness. And the announcement came the day before the Judds were set to be formally inducted into the country music hall of fame. Now, the induction went ahead as planned yesterday with the public red carpet being canceled out of respect for the family. And together, the Judds, which is Naomi and Winona, scored five Grammys and 14 number one hits, like, Why Not Me? Why Not Me on a restroom? And love can build a bridge. Love can build a bridge between your heart. Don't you think it's time?
Starting point is 00:57:22 Don't you think it's time? And then my personal favorite, grandpa, tell me about the good old days. Family's really bowing heads to pray. Daddy's really never go about the good old day. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Judd family during this very difficult time. One of the most exciting performers in country music, Chris Jansen, has a brand new album out called All In, featuring the hit songs by Mom and Keys to the Country. Make sure you get this Chris Jansen album today wherever you get your music. This is like something that would have happened where I grew up,
Starting point is 00:58:09 but there was a bull that escaped in South Carolina and the whole school had to go on lockdown. not somebody robbing a bank or a shooter nearby, but a bull got loose. And so they made sure all the kids were locked inside the school so the bull didn't go full bullfighter. Everybody in red got rushed in first. Yeah, of course. South Carolina school was on temporary lockdown
Starting point is 00:58:31 because a bull was trotting through the streets of the city and they were like, we don't want anybody to get hurt, so they locked all the kids up. The bull was returned safely to its owner. That's from UPI. We would, we never got locked in it just wasn't a thing when I was a kid like school shootings
Starting point is 00:58:48 it didn't happen until I guess I was in college I started to be a thing but again everybody had guns and their cars and trucks you'd pull up that's wild kids had guns in their gun racks in their cars that you could see
Starting point is 00:58:59 in their truck parked at school it's a different time but it was also a different part of America very rural small town Arkansas where everybody hunted and fished we would leave school sometimes when we would see the game of fish drive by with trout
Starting point is 00:59:12 like stalking and so we did the truck truck go by so we're like oh we just leave we would we check with nobody fresh trout we would just follow that not well nobody yells fresh trout that's what i would have done uh but we would just go down and they they open the hatch and then you catch them and you you have trout stamps to keep them but we were kids we were idiots so but yeah we different time like in your pile amy you know yeah different time things kids don't understand all right let's go over and get in the morning corny the morning corny
Starting point is 00:59:44 What do you call someone who pretends to be Swedish? Don't turn to figure it out. I know, it's risky, though. Why? Just ask. Why? I don't know. What do you call someone who pretends to be Swedish?
Starting point is 00:59:56 An artificial sweetener. That's pretty funny. That's funny. That was the morning corny. I did think to myself, as this a day, we get canceled. With this joke. With this joke right here. Okay.

Owning a home comes with a lot of things nobody really prepares you for, including yard care.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Sunday is a company trying to make that part easier. They start with a soil test and climate data to build a yard plan tailor to where you live, then ship everything directly to your door. No guesswork, no dragging bags of fertilizer. And instead of harsh chemicals, Sunday uses simple nutrient-dense ingredients like seaweed, molasses, and iron. Everything hooks up to a hose, which honestly sounds like my speech. If your yard feels more stressful than satisfying, Sunday's approach makes a lot of sense. Go to get sunday.com to get your free custom yard analysis.
Starting point is 01:03:50 That's get sunday.com. All right, it's an impossible question. It's called Never Gonna Get It. Here's the question. Half Americans say they never checked the expiration date on this. Ever. Ever? Yeah, so we're going to bring on Shelby, who lives in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
Starting point is 01:04:11 off. Shelby, welcome to the show. Never going to get it, Shelby. Your question is, 50% of Americans say they never, never, never, never, never check the expiration date on this. What is it? Now, Shelby, if you can get it right, you win the prize and the game is over. What you think it is? Okay, my first guess is eggs.
Starting point is 01:04:34 Eggs, okay. Eggs? You do, Amy. Everybody does. You check it before you can take it off the shelf at the grocery store. Yeah. Okay. Half American said they never checked the expiration date on this. Never going to get it.
Starting point is 01:04:46 Is the answer eggs? Okay. That's incorrect. Now, you get four people here. They're the panel. Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie, or Morgan. You can pick one of them to represent you. I got this one.
Starting point is 01:05:00 What do you think here? Sorry, lunchbox. I have to give it to Eddie. Shelby, you know I've never gotten it, ever. Eddie, I believe in you. You can do it. Well, she did pick the right person. Oblifting even.
Starting point is 01:05:18 Okay. Amy, what's your answer? I tell you what? I'm going to hold your answer off. Okay. And I'm going to go to Eddie, and I'll tell you why. Eddie, what do you have? Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:26 Well, I have two written down, and I've got to pick between the two. I don't even want to say the second one. Oh, this is tough, because Shelby's putting it all on me right now. It's all on you. I'm going to go ketchup. Catchup. No one checks the ketchup bottle. Half of Americans said they never checked the expiration dates on this.
Starting point is 01:05:43 Eddie says, catch up. Come on. That's incorrect. See, Shelby, I knew it. Now, Shelby, I'm going to give you the option here. You can either go with Amy Lunchbox and Morgan, all combined. And if any of them get it, you win.
Starting point is 01:05:57 Better odds. Or a coin flip. I think. Lunchbox, do you feel like you have it? I have it. I don't know why you're going to go to a coin flip. He says that every time. No, I don't.
Starting point is 01:06:11 Do you feel good about yours? I feel okay. I'm debating between two right now. Morgan, you feel good about yours? Yeah, I feel really. confident. Okay, listen, you got two people saying they're really confident, Shelby. Yeah. Give it to them. Okay, so you're going to go with the panel here. Yeah. Okay, what would you have picked? Heads or tails? Okay, it would have been? Never fails. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:06:30 Hey, go with them first because I need to see if they say one I'm thinking. No, no, you say. You can't do that. You can dictate the game. Amy, you're first. What do you have? Okay, can I tell you what I'm debating between? You say one. Oh, it's so hard. Okay, fine. Pain reliever. That's good. Tylenol. Like I don't, I just like, ibuprofen, advil, pop a pill. That's so good, Amy. It's actually good until you take it and then you swell up and then that's when you check the expiration date. Pain reliever. Oh, I mean, I'm putting it all into a category. You're saying medicine. Medioprofen. Sure, medicine. That's a better way to put it.
Starting point is 01:07:04 Okay. Morgan. I got spices. You never check your spices and you never throw them out. Oh, I do. I got to get rid of those expired ones. But medicine's really good too. Spice is really good. I don't even know they had expiration dates. Yeah, they do. What do you have lunchbox? Bread. You don't check it. You just look and see if it has mold, you throw it out. You don't look at a date. Isn't that technically checking it? No, not checking an expiration.
Starting point is 01:07:24 He's right on this. He's right. Yeah. What you think? Shelby, Which one do you feel best about? Medicine, bread, or spices? Oh, gosh. I'd probably have to go with Amy's with medicine. But I also like Morgan's. Lunchbox, I don't think you're right, but that's okay. That's okay. I mean, you don't think I'm right, but I'm right. You're going to apologize, right? We can double the prize, meaning we can do a sonic card and crap from the back if she just wants to like one of you.
Starting point is 01:07:50 I like that. But if she doesn't and she misses it, she loses. I love that. Let's do it. Let's make it. You don't have to. You can still go with all three or I can double it up. No. Let's risk it for the biscuit.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Let's do it. Which one? Is the biscuit all in, all combined? No, no, no. I'm going to risk it. I'm going to go all in. So I'm going to go all in on Amy. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:08:09 Wow. Oh, gosh. Okay. So lunchbox, you picked bread. Is it bread? Bread. Love it. Thank goodness.
Starting point is 01:08:19 I haven't even said one of you guys is right yet. I know. Morgan. Yeah. You said spices. Yes. Is it spices? Dang.
Starting point is 01:08:27 Amy, you got it. Amy, it's medicine. That's what you say. Yeah. You got it, Amy. If it is medicine. What did she say? Do it for the biscuit?
Starting point is 01:08:36 Risk it for the biscuit. I did it all for the biscuit. I did it all for the biscuit. The biscuit. If it's biscuit. No, wait, no, if it's medicine Now I'm all off She wins both
Starting point is 01:08:49 The gift card and the crap for the phone. Wow, wow, wow. Okay. 50% of Americans say they never check the expiration date on this. Amy's answer is medicine Is medicine the correct answer?
Starting point is 01:09:05 Yes, yes. Nice job, you got it. And Shelby, you got it. Nice job. Let's go. Let's go. That was a very soft. She must be at work.
Starting point is 01:09:16 She said, let's go. Hey, Scova, Steve. She won the $50 gift card from Sonic. What else does she have there in the crap from the back? We also got a Luke Combs T-shirt. Oh, nice, nice. Tractor supply hat. Yes.
Starting point is 01:09:30 And some Bobby Bowen shows Studio memorabilia. This is a green light Matthew McConaughey book that Eddie read and signed. My mother-in-law. You read a Matthew McConaughey book and signed it. My mother-in-law gave it to me for Christmas, and then I passed it around. I think lunchbox read it and signed it. Eddie did the diet. Oh, and Mike D signed it too.
Starting point is 01:09:45 Mike D also read it and signed it. So not Matthew McConaughey, but you guys sign Matthew McConaug. That's not a bad price pack. Shelby, congratulations. We're going to send all that to you. Thank you very much. Thanks, y'all. Wu Pig.
Starting point is 01:09:57 Woo Pig. All right. There we go. Thank you very much. It's time for the Employee of the Month. Yes. One of you will be named the April Employee of the Month. You each have a speech 15 seconds long that you will read
Starting point is 01:10:12 once you get eliminated. Sorry about that. It's the most awkward way we can do it. Yes. So if you win employee the month, you will spend the wheel of cash. Yeah. Oh, $100?
Starting point is 01:10:23 I like that. That's where it's on. A lot of ones up there, though. You get self-promotion of anything you want. That's good. 15 seconds to promote whatever. You could even sell it. If you were smart enough before this bit,
Starting point is 01:10:33 you could have sold it to somebody and say, if I win, you know? That's a good idea. Or you get my parking spot. Asterisk, when I'm not in it. All right, so that's what the winner gets. The employee of the month goes to. Well, I'm not going to say, yeah, but it's not Mike, scuba, Steve, or myself, okay?
Starting point is 01:10:51 Okay. Let's play. The first person eliminated from Employee of the Month is Eddie. Wow, yeah, no, I figured here's my speech. Go ahead. Thank you. Thank you so much. I honestly didn't think it was possible to win this prestigious award two times in a row, but I did.
Starting point is 01:11:07 As Bobby says, fight, grind, repeat. That's what I did, and it's proof that you, too, listening at home right now. now could be the employee of the month at your work. So thank you so much. I will take this award, and I'm proud of it, and let's keep on working hard. Thank you. There is. Eddie did not win.
Starting point is 01:11:21 That's a speech if you were one-to-won. Did you actually write that or no? I did. It's right here. Beautiful. Hey, Ray, if they go over time, shut their mic off. Yeah, he was making fun of me earlier because I timed mine. Oh.
Starting point is 01:11:32 Because you said 15 seconds or less, so I timed it, and he was like, 15 seconds? The next person eliminated is lunchbox. How do you feel about this or this? Oh, I won it already. That didn't even scare me because I know I won. I already know I won, so don't worry about it. All right. That didn't get me getting me nervous. The next person eliminated is Ray Mundo. Ray, I'm sorry, you did good this month, but you're not employee in the month.
Starting point is 01:11:58 What would you like to say if you would have won? Well, I haven't felt the rush of winning since I gave up gambling. This is awesome. It feels so good. I kind of want to gamble again now. To all the kids out there, bet on yourself, not on the Titans' money line. Okay. All right. All right.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Okay. All right. Okay. Okay. Three people were main for employee of the month. Morgan, lunchbox, and Amy. Who's the favorite? Eddie, you're out of running.
Starting point is 01:12:25 Who's going to win? Oh, it's Amy, for sure. Because she's going to Hollywood. That was a great bit. Yeah, who made that bit good? I did. The next person eliminated is Morgan. I'm sorry, Morgan, you did not learn.
Starting point is 01:12:38 Oh, man. I know. I know. Gosh. Go ahead. Man, I'm just so happy. finally won. It feels really good to be recognized for all the long hours I put
Starting point is 01:12:47 in every day and as Eddie gave me a hard time for my late nights and weekends I spend working. I appreciate the recognition and I'm happy to say that I beat lunchbox. Yeah, over time. There are two people left in the running. Would you like to hear
Starting point is 01:13:03 why both of you were considered? I have that in my speech of everything I did. You can't do that in 15 seconds. No way. I know. The performance with Ryan Hurd was in last month. That's right. Another reason. Such build up.
Starting point is 01:13:18 That's such funny bit. That was good, Amy. The Hollywood. She went to Hollywood. The movie rolls provided so much content. Also, our friend's car got stolen, which is a multi-day bit where we've talked about it. Oh, my gosh. Because of her.
Starting point is 01:13:30 All of our scams. She got scammed again. That's right. I still am locked out of my Amazon account. So it was just a lot of content if you're asking about Amy. I'm not. Or lunchbox. Have you ever won a employee my day?
Starting point is 01:13:44 I haven't. You haven't? She hasn't. She was a heavy favorite coming in. I think like in, you know, 2010 or something. That's a long time ago. We've only done this bit for like six months. Well, there was something we did back in the day where you tracked us for a whole year
Starting point is 01:13:57 and the winner got $1,000 and I got it. Yeah, and lunch was mad about that. Has lunchbox ever won? Oh, this is amazing. The winner of Employee of the Month. Come on, Amy. Oh, thanks, Eddie. Ray, who's going to win?
Starting point is 01:14:12 I just. Definitely, Amy, very deserving over Lunchbox. Morgan, who's going to win? I feel like Lunchbox, he's had a pretty solid month for content-wise. Solid? You mean, extraordinary. The winner! Of April's Employer the Month is! You still want to get yelled at.
Starting point is 01:14:34 Lunchbox! What did I tell you? What did I say? There was no nerves? We knew all day. We knew it was me. You were dreaming. Let's go! Oh, you want my speech now or after Amy? You can give yours.
Starting point is 01:14:50 Nobody in this room is shocked. Nobody listening across America is shocked. I am personally shocked anyone else in this room showed up today. Oh, because they had no shot. It's been me all day, every day, from the haunted doll to the celebrity walking down the street to spill in the tea all over Eddie and Scoob of Steve. Lunchbox going to Hollywood. The beef with Jansen, the new business was Bones.
Starting point is 01:15:12 The list goes up. Oh, we turn them off. No, that's only if I lose. It's like the speech. No, no, no, no, you don't turn me off when you win. The list goes on, but we'd be here all day. To all these fools, you are dreaming if you thought you were beating the king. Started from the bottom, now we're here.
Starting point is 01:15:27 Hater's going to hate, but I'm great. Eat it, all you losers. All right. And all these people, they say, they want me fired. You know, you listeners, you obviously don't have the desire because I win. So, technically, did I hand him the doll in a silver platter? No, you get money. You gave them money in the door.
Starting point is 01:15:46 Okay, but it's a matter of lunchbox employee the month. That is it. It is spoken. Okay, now, lunchbox, you can have... Oh, I can't... Oh, and do I get my bit of the week? The bit of the month? That's what we used to be. I gave you the three options.
Starting point is 01:15:58 Oh, we took that away? Because I had my bit already selected. What would the bid have been, though? It was going to be 7C, 7.30 a.m. And people were just going to call and tell me how great I was. That was going to be the segment. That's not an option, though, anymore. I'll give me the money.
Starting point is 01:16:12 I don't care about a stupid parking spot. Or the self-promotion. I don't care about that either. Okay. Wow. I'll take the self-promotion. You didn't win, though. I know.
Starting point is 01:16:22 Do I get to see my speech? No, we don't want to hear from losers. She didn't do her speech. My loser's speech, but I didn't do it. I prepared it. We'll do it. It's very end. Let it have us winning here.
Starting point is 01:16:32 Ready for the money? On this wheel, there's $100. There's $50. There's $20. There's $5, and there are lots of $1. Yeah. I don't understand why there's only $1,100, but that's okay. It's the biggest one.
Starting point is 01:16:44 You should put two. All right. Or then at least put two 50s. I mean, come on each side. Yeah, exactly. You didn't do this one. Eddie was spinning. You didn't ask you.
Starting point is 01:16:51 Yeah, I don't care about Eddie. You were two for the one. Let's spin the wheel. One dollar. Let's go. Let's go in the month. Here we go. One dollar.
Starting point is 01:17:03 That means going around once. Yes, it did. I should have done that self-remotion. All right. There he is. That would have been worth more than a dollar. One dollar for lunchbox. Who won today?
Starting point is 01:17:12 I did. I did. Hit that song. Hit it! Let's go! And they stay there! And they stay there! There it is, big winner. Nice job, buddy. Nice job.

Starting point is 01:22:17 Tell me something good. Karen and her husband, they go out with some friends, and they come home late at night, and they're hungry. And the husband says, hey, let's get some pizza. Call DoorDash, and we'll do it. And so she's like, I'm feeling kind of tired. So the husband sends the wife out to go get the pizza. Well, she goes out and kind of waits by the driveway. Well, she starts feeling dizzy.
Starting point is 01:22:37 She goes unconscious. She falls. Well, the Door Dash driver, she pulls up and sees, oh, my gosh, this person's just laying there. And I guess when she fell, she hit her head. She's bleeding everywhere. So the Door Dash driver, her name is Sophia. She calls 911. she starts yelling, hey, I need towels.
Starting point is 01:22:52 She goes, wakes up the husband. She runs in the house. She runs in the house, wakes up the husband, says, hey, I need stuff. Come over here. The cops are coming. The EMS is coming. And the husband's like, how do you know all this? Well, she says, well, I always wanted to be an EMT.
Starting point is 01:23:04 So she went to EMT school, but then she got pregnant, got some kids. Life took another direction. So she was never able to become an EMT. Well, when they got there, they said, wow, Sophia, if it wasn't for you, this girl would have been in really bad, bad shape. On her EMT. Yeah. So even.
Starting point is 01:23:19 Even better. DoorDash awarded her with $1,000 of scholarship money, so if she wants to go be an EMT, she can go do that. Honorary EMT is what I said. We like that. Don't we like drugs? No, honorary crap. All right, there you go. Honorary crap. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 01:23:35 Great story. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. What do they say about breakfast? Oh, it's the most important meal of the day. What do I say about this segment? You say that this is the book. it. Why are you singing this back to? Oh, this is
Starting point is 01:23:51 the most important segment of the day. Okay, there you go. Let's do the stories of the day. Bobby's Big. Stories. He sings it all. Pretty nice. She said her and her son, like, sing fight now. Our sing argues, that what it is? We were arguing about something when I was over it, so I just started singing what I was saying, and it, like,
Starting point is 01:24:07 totally threw him, and I was like, this is amazing. I'm going to start singing. Anytime he's, you know, just, he gets confused, then we start talking about something, he thinks he's right, and then I just start singing, and he's like, oh, and then we switch gears. It's amazing. Are you singing your point to him?
Starting point is 01:24:21 Yeah. I just start singing what I'm saying. I just start being kind of, I guess it's a little obnoxious. Does he sing back? Because I think that would also maybe lighten the tension if you can totally. He might start and that's the thing. I was like, oh, couples should adopt this. Like any argument in my life now, I'm just going to start singing.
Starting point is 01:24:37 The problem is I'm never in the mood to do that. If I'm in a disagreement, I'm never like, I want to try something novel to see if it works. Well, I hit a point where I was like, I got to do something. That was it. Yep. Okay. Well, let's do the big story. A kid left a science project behind
Starting point is 01:24:51 on a bus in New York City on Monday. It caused a bomb scare. It sounds like it did look like a bomb, though. It had canisters, had liquid wires and a clock. I mean, it... The bomb squad and emergency service unit was called to the MTA bus depot.
Starting point is 01:25:07 Suspicious object was found. They were like, look, it's got liquid wires and a clock. And listen, every show I've seen, that's what a bomb has on it. And so they did this test. It's harmless. All good. but they shut everything down for a minute. That's from s.i-live.com.
Starting point is 01:25:22 Florida is the least affordable place to live in the United States, according to CBS News. Rents and home prices are soaring pretty much everywhere, but Florida's really suffering the most. Florida's population is growing faster than any state but Texas. So with everybody moving there and prices going up, Florida's taken at the hardest. Wow.
Starting point is 01:25:43 Surprising is Florida to me, I would have thought Los Angeles, New York City, But a lot of people are moving out of those places. Yeah, they're getting out of there. Especially during the pandemic when they locked it all down. So they're like, all right, I'm going to go somewhere else where we're not being told to lock the doors and only hide out in here. So in February, a realtor.com designated in Miami
Starting point is 01:26:01 as America's least affordable place. $2,930 as far as rent goes there. And then it's Miami, Orlando, Tampa have the fastest growing rents. CBS News. A man's arrested after he fails a background check. And? to work for the sheriff's department.
Starting point is 01:26:19 Oh. I was going to say, like, arrested? Mm-hmm. Robert Eversold Jr. applied to work for the St. Tamami Parish Sheriff's Office. And during the background check, implications of an inappropriate relationship with an underage individual several years prior came up.
Starting point is 01:26:37 Detectives then went and talked to the victim, confirmed the relationship, and instead of settling in at the sheriff's office, he was booked in to the correctional center on a felony charge. Wow. That's from WBRZ2. Yeah, you probably try to stay away from justice or police or anything that could be served to you if you did something really bad like that. A 15-carat blue diamond sells at an auction for $45 million.
Starting point is 01:27:02 The largest vivid blue diamond ever sold has fetched a staggering $45 million. The 15.1-karrat De Beers Blue Diamond. Do you know anything about diamond colors? Is the fact that it's blue? Is that... I just know that some of the rare colored ones are... the most expensive. There's like J-Lo and Ben Affleck he proposed, I think, with a rare green diamond. I would think this had food coloring in it or like they put Kool-Aid in it and froze it. Something
Starting point is 01:27:29 like that. It's so blue. I wouldn't have thought it was a diamond when I found it if it's that blue. What's the blue birthstone? Is it like it? Oh, aquamarine. That's mine. That's what I'd have thought it was. So the whole thing, it was discovered in April of 2021 because of its size. It's over 15 care it's flawless because it's as pure as could be $45 million. Blue diamonds are considered the rarest of them all. Are there red diamonds? Yeah. Ruby's?
Starting point is 01:27:55 I don't know. I don't think it's a diamond. I don't know, but for every 10,000 diamonds, one has color, but blue is the rarest. Okay. An incredible jumping robot's been unveiled that can lead more than 100 times its own height. Despite being just 30 centimeters tall, 12 inches, the robot can jump 108 feet. Boy, if you don't think that's going to be weaponized soon. Oh, that's scary.
Starting point is 01:28:16 Hopefully we got that arm. Hopefully we got the patent. We own that one. It features a rotary motor alongside springs and rubber bands that store energy. And it almost feels like one of those little suction cup things, Amy, you put on the ground. And maybe you didn't have those. As a boy, we'd buy them. And you put it on the ground and it goes, poop.
Starting point is 01:28:33 Pops way up in the air. Okay. Did you ever see those? No. If you missed that, what about the incredible bouncing balls? You buy for a quarter. Oh, yeah. Boing, you thought it once and it's gone forever.
Starting point is 01:28:40 You never saw it again. But it has a heck of a corner. quarter, wasn't it, boys? Yeah. A man in Argentina fell asleep on a train, got his head stuck in an armrest. This is from the New York Post. He had to be freed by train officials. One comment or joked, can you imagine showing up late to work
Starting point is 01:28:54 and having to use that as an excuse, even though it was true? But yeah, fell asleep and then was like, oh, and he woke up, uh-oh. They had to bring the crew in to free him. That is embarrassing. And finally, TV shows and movies coming out that you may look forward to, because here we are, start in May. May 1st, yesterday, the Real Housewives of Atlanta and Vice.
Starting point is 01:29:12 Those two shows were out. May 5th. Girls 5Eva on Peacock and the staircase. Have I seen the staircase, Mike? It's a documentary? Oh, yeah. Yeah, the documentary came out on Netflix, so this is the drama version of it. Death?
Starting point is 01:29:27 Yeah. Murder? Yeah. I've watched so many of these. Do you know what that was about? The husband on trial. Don't remember. Pushing down the staircase.
Starting point is 01:29:35 Wife. Watched it. Don't remember. Whoa. Yeah. Cheryl, the documentary about Cheryl Crowe, May 6th. It's really, really good. The season period of the Challenge All-Stars Lunchbox, May 11th.
Starting point is 01:29:44 Yeah, let's go. Let's see if there's anything else we care about here. Obi-Wan Kenobi on Disney Plus, May 25th. Strangeer Things Season 4 Part 1 on May 27th. And Top Gun Maverick, the movie, May 27th in theaters. I've been waiting two years for that. So they say... Those were Bobby's Big.
Starting point is 01:30:03 Stories. Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Norrie of the day. This story comes to us from Canada. a 16-year-old was out driving. He was like, man, you know, I've always wanted to be a cop. Let me try to pull over a car.
Starting point is 01:30:17 So he puts a little light on the dash and woo-woo, woo-woo, pulls over an unmarked police car. Oh, what are the odds? That's hilarious. I mean, if you want to be a cop, is that the first reason that you want to be a cop to pull someone over? I thought it would be like to protect, serve. Then to pull someone over, but dang, got him an unmarked car.
Starting point is 01:30:37 I wonder, though, if he had done it before, and it just wasn't an unmarked con. I probably, but the story just says, so I just assume, oh, first time, bad luck. Yeah, that's scary. All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Thank you guys for hanging out with us today.
Starting point is 01:30:54 It's the good news countdown. Counting down the biggest good news stories across the lab. Let's start it with number three. Number three. A Southwest pilot led a five-year-old cancer survivor named Luke Leady used the intercom before a flight out of Fort Lauderdale. The video's pretty cute. Here's what Luke said to everyone on board.
Starting point is 01:31:15 Welcome on board. And they weren't. And everybody got off the flight. No, I'm just kidding, guys. They ever do that joke where they land? And you're like, all right, welcome to Tupelo. And you're like, wait. No, I was going to Tampa.
Starting point is 01:31:27 Yeah. And you're like, ah, got you. Not funny. Yeah, no funny. Number two. A 58-year-old construction worker in Maryland was on his way to work last Saturday when he found out he wasn't really needed that day.
Starting point is 01:31:38 So he decided to take the day off. went to a liquor store, bought a lottery ticket, won $100,000 bucks. Oh, wow. Go ahead. You're throwing your hands in the air. I mean, how does that happen? He doesn't have to go to work so he gets rewarded.
Starting point is 01:31:51 Oh, I just guess I'll buy. He's not being rewarded for not going to work. Man, nothing like that happens to me. I'm always like, man. Except this great job. I got to go to work, and I had to buy a lottery ticket, and I don't win. Good news countdown, I said. Here's number one.
Starting point is 01:32:03 Number one. A teen was magnet fishing and found a small safe at the bottom of a river. You guys know it. magnet fishing is, right? Yes. You're trying to catch metal things with magnets. Oh, cool. Never heard of it. Yeah, so you're dragging the bottom basically for stuff. You've got to have a
Starting point is 01:32:22 powerful magnet. We used to just do one of those little horseshoe ones. We never catch anything. So, buddy found, again, a safe, and the safe had $2,000 in it. Oh, yeah! What? Does this never happen to me? I know, that's what I'm saying. But instead of keeping the money, he went looking for the owner. Turns out it was stolen from them 22 years ago, and the owner return the favor by giving the kid a reward.
Starting point is 01:32:42 Don't know what the reward was, but he also offered him a job when he's done with school. A job offer. I don't even know what the job is, but the kid returned the money from the safe. How are you going to, I don't understand how you track down someone that owns a safe. And first of all... Maybe their name was on it.
Starting point is 01:32:56 Or like the inside of it. And 22 years later, they don't need the $2,000. Just give it all to the kid. Hopefully they least gave him a hat and 10% off the local fish restaurant. That was the good news countdown. Bye, everybody. If you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the drill.
