Starting point is 00:02:02 Visit Disneyland.com for details. Here we go. Come on, Bobby. Welcome back. Another week of, um, good shows. Yeah, yeah, yeah, trust me on this one. I would never lie to you. Also, I have no idea how good they're going to be.
Starting point is 00:02:24 But I think they're going to be good. Morning, studio. Morning! Let's start the show now up first. Here he is our video producer. He was told he does so much quality work. He's got to do less because he's breaking our internet. I like that.
Starting point is 00:02:37 I like that. I like that. I like that. Yeah, they do. Here he is. Our producer ready. Go ahead. Phones, you're my dude.
Starting point is 00:02:41 Yes, sir. I love you, dude. I love you, dude. Yes. But I have to keep you, you know, hold you accountable here. You told us to keep track of all your all rights because you're trying to eliminate that word from your vocabulary. Yeah. And I got you.
Starting point is 00:02:53 Last week, you said it four times. I got my wallet out. And I have audio proof. Of all four? Of all four. Okay, go ahead. This first clip is three that you say here. You say it in less than like four seconds.
Starting point is 00:03:04 I believe it. That's why I'm trying to cut it out. Go ahead. $1. $1. I'll donate to your favorite charity. All right, here we go. I mean, you said it.
Starting point is 00:03:11 You said it. But I'm not trying to cut it out of my real gallery. You're saying it. Wait, now you're copying me? You said it twice and then he said it. All right. But I mean, I feel like it's, it's an appropriate use right there. No, if I said it, you should penalize me.
Starting point is 00:03:23 I'll give you three bucks if you're saying I said it three times. You said, all right, all right. And then you go, all right. That was you, Eddie. No, no, no. I'm going to be honest. When you did it, I wrote it down, all right, all right, all right. On my sheet of paper over here.
Starting point is 00:03:36 but then I don't know I forgot to write down what time it was and so then I forgot what's saying me I got another one I got another one here Wikipedia house always right right All right we'll be right back good That's $4 I mean but bones What's my total money? Oh man it's like 5,000 no it's not 5,000
Starting point is 00:03:51 No I'm just saying like I haven't been able to keep track Because I lose track of the all right Mike knows Mike I have 20 bucks for the jars I don't have to cover up till now Yeah that's good Yeah I just thought of one I need to find the clip But if you have it we can just say it 20 in for now Okay
Starting point is 00:04:04 And we have to go, and this is what we will do. Every Monday, we can go through and check on what happened the last week. So you're paying in advance right now? No, no. Because you know you're going to say it? No, no, paying for past. Yeah, he's saying we can't go back and find anymore. This $20 makes up for all of that.
Starting point is 00:04:19 But I don't think I've said it 20 times. It's a lot of work to go back. There's 20 bucks for the jar. Okay? Okay, man. Keep up as we go right down the day and the time. I hate doing it because I don't want you to spend money, but we got to do it. But I like you to do it.
Starting point is 00:04:30 It keeps me accountable. Next up, he got in a little trouble last week because he lost. The lost employee of the month and then told Abby who wanted to watch her back. Wash. Wash her back. Yeah. Whatever you say. It's lunchbox, everybody.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Everyone knows I'm a businessman making business deals trying to get that money. So I went to my wife with the new business idea because we talked about how females are doing this last week on the show about how they're getting in people's DMs and they're being paid to try to seduce men. So I told my wife, I'm going to start loyalty where guys are going to hire me to slide into their wives or girlfriends' dean. and I wanted to see if she'd be okay with me, farting with chicks online. Oh, hold on, no, don't play anything yet. You think women would just go, ooh, he's a hottie. I'll start talking with him.
Starting point is 00:05:16 Yes, that was the whole basis of the business. No, no, no, but you, okay, it doesn't matter. Ray, will you play it? You're so ridiculous. No, but are you cool with that? Sure, I'm cool with it. You know, I mean, it's going to get kind of flirty, you know, but don't worry, like, if I get any nudes,
Starting point is 00:05:31 I will show them to you also. Just so you know I'm not keeping anything from me. I'll be like, check out this chick. Oh, my God. I don't even know what to say. I mean, this is so ridiculous. Like, I'll hear, I'll give me an example of a slide in the DM. I'll be like, you're looking hot in that bikini.
Starting point is 00:05:49 What's your name? You know, where are you from? What's your name? We should chat. Okay. I mean, this is probably the most ridiculous thing you've ever thought of. But you'd be fine with it. Yeah, go.
Starting point is 00:06:01 Like if I get some clients. Yeah, but I don't want to see the nudes. Okay. Let's go make out. Okay, bye. What's your name? That's what he slides in. It's all on there. What's your name?
Starting point is 00:06:11 No, some people don't have a real name. Do you ever use Instagram? Well, you message me on Instagram. Where are you from? It says there. Yeah. Yeah. And I know this tone, this tone she's giving is like, she's saying yes because she knows nobody's going to reply to them. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:24 I mean, so guys, if you need me to seduce your women, hit me up. Just to test her loyalty. Yeah, test her loyalty because it's called loyalty and I'll charge you per message and I'll find out if you're a woman's loyal or not. Okay. Thank you. lunchbox. All right, up next, here she is. Which we, if we ever build a new studio,
Starting point is 00:06:39 which we have to eventually, because they're going to move us out of here, we have to change Amy's desk to actually look at me instead of her neck always being broken. Because she's always, like, turning side to side. Here she is, Amy, everybody. Okay, so my kids are not biologically related. They're adopted. They're from the same orphanage in Haiti, but they're not blood siblings. I like it when they fight like siblings, though,
Starting point is 00:07:00 because they've only been living together for like four and a half years at my house, almost five, and I feel like we're finally getting there because DeSheera, I asked her to hang out with Stevenson, and she straight up looked at me and she said, I feel like I lose brain cells when I have to go do that with her. And I'm like, okay, I'm kind of mad at it because I want them to get along, but then I also love it because siblings just, when they fight, it's more like they're real siblings, right? Do they ever say that? Do they ever say, we're not really brother and sister? Yeah. They do. Yeah. Because I think of them. More so her. Yeah. I think of them as brother and sister.
Starting point is 00:07:35 Absolutely. I do too. But so I don't know if I should be proud of it, if I should be proud that she's annoyed because she has to lose brain cells to hang out with him. Or if I should try to mend it and fix it and be like, no, go hang out with your brother. I think that's a common parent problem anyway. Right, which makes it feel real. Yeah, it's real. I think it's a fluid situation. Case by case basis.
Starting point is 00:07:54 But I sure, I think of them. I know they're not blood-related, but I do think of them just as brother's sister without. And I have to go, oh, yeah, they're not blood brother's sister. Yeah. And I just thought it was funny. That was her response. The losing brain cells. All right. From Mountain Pine, Arkansas, he has a crutch of saying all right. So he's trying not to with all his might. Thank you. Bobby bombs. That's cool. That's called freestyle.
Starting point is 00:08:17 Dang. That's called freestyle. We have to talk about Christmas because it's coming up. We have to figure what we're going to do on the show. Are we going to draw one name? Oh, no. This is always such a problem. Are we going to do a competition? Are we going to just draw a name and give him a gift? Are we going to have a limit? I just need to know what the expectation is.
Starting point is 00:08:33 and I want to give everybody enough time to do it. Do we want to come up with the rules, or do we just want to draw an name and no rules? I'd like to come up with a competition. I don't want to make it a competition. I've always liked the theme stuff. Yeah. Okay, but it's not a competition.
Starting point is 00:08:47 Not a competition. No. Like we have a category, but no competition. Okay. Do we do in a limit? Yeah. I like the limit. We can talk about all that. So we're not just going wide open, everybody buying everybody gifts.
Starting point is 00:08:59 Right. So you'll draw a person. That's who you get. And that's it. That's it. Right? That's it. And $200 limit?
Starting point is 00:09:08 No. Then you have to spend $200. You don't have to. That's the limit. That's what I'm saying. Because if we get Bobby, we don't want to be stuck with a $50 limit because Bobby could get us.
Starting point is 00:09:16 You know what do you see what I'm saying? Guys, we got to set the limit higher. I don't know. A bucket of cash. I did that one year because our person who worked on the show is not making a bunch of money. So I was like, here's a bucket of cash to help you through the holidays. And that's what I'm saying. If you want Bobby, you want the limit to be higher.
Starting point is 00:09:31 It's not about who it is. It's not about the gift, it's the thide. But that's what we're going to do. Okay. In the next couple days, we'll come up with the rules. I like it. And we'll draw the names. All right, let's get started with the show.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Thank you, everybody. It's time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I need some advice. My best friend from middle school is getting married this summer and wants to have her
Starting point is 00:09:56 bachelor's party in the city that I live in. Now, she invited me to her party. And also asked me if I could offer my house for the weekend to host nine other girls who will be in attendance. That is quite the ass. I agreed. However, plane tickets to my city cost $500 per person. She then proceeded to ask me if I could pay for a rental car for that weekend since I don't
Starting point is 00:10:18 have to pay for a flight like everyone else. A giant SUV rental car that fits 10 girls and it's about $200 a day. Am I crazy for being upset? I'm already offering my house to everyone. Should I feel obligated to cover additional costs since I'm not full? flying to the destination, I'm saving them money for the Airbnb by opening my home. Not to mention, I'll be seven months pregnant at the time. Signed, conflicted, best friend.
Starting point is 00:10:43 You are not wrong to feel like you're being taken advantage of right here. You're being taken advantage of because it is convenient for them to take advantage of you because you live there. They didn't target you and go, well, she's the mark. Let's go get her. But you do live there, and the house is a big ask. And with that, when you said yes, everything else should them off the table. That's way more than you even should have said yes to honestly. Nine, ten people, five people. After about two, that's when it really starts.
Starting point is 00:11:12 That's work. After two extra people in your house. Two, that's fine. A little extra cleaning up, but you're all good. Four, six, eight, ten. That's a lot. That's a lot of people. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:11:23 It's a lot of mess. A lot of showers. A lot of towels. It's a lot of laundry. So you, to pay for the rental car, $200 bucks a day after they're staying in your house. She's out of her mind. Out of her mind.
Starting point is 00:11:32 Out of her mind. Yeah. Now, you give her a little bit of grace because she's obviously out of her mind because she's about to get married and that makes people go out of their mind. But yeah, there's no way you should have to pay for this rental car. No. Now, you can say I'll pick it up. I live here. You guys pay for it.
Starting point is 00:11:46 I'll go get it. No, everyone can split it evenly. And I think you could even say I'm happy to split it with everybody. Right. But I'm not. I can't. You just say you can't afford it. That's an easy thing.
Starting point is 00:11:58 I don't have it in the budget this month to pay if it's a three-night thing. The guts to tell her, though, that like, hey, since you're not flying there and buying an airline ticket, that's crazy. She's penalizing her for where she lives. Yeah. I think I'm going to give the benefit of the doubt and assume, like Bobby was saying, she's wrapped up in her wedding and she's not thinking clearly. Well, and let's make her think clearly.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Nobody would think that's a rational ask. You can do one of those slaps. They do in the movies. Like, snap out of it. Yeah. Come back to life. And they're always like, oh, thanks, man. Yeah, right.
Starting point is 00:12:28 conflict of best friend let us say to you you did not owe them your house and you did and that was way too much already the car she's out of her mind out of her mind and you should message her back right now and say hey look I'm happy to the house but I can't do the car I can't afford it I'm happy to hop in and split it so three nights six hundred bucks ten people less than a hundred bucks a person yeah for nine people the price they would have paid for an Airbnb she actually shouldn't have to pay for anything the rest of the week I agree like that's awesome I agree I agree I agree You are conflicted for a reason. I would let her know.
Starting point is 00:13:02 Otherwise, you're going to be resentful for a long time. That's it. You can email us at any time. Morgan, what's that address? Mailbag at bobbybones.com. All right, close it up. We've got your email and we've read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:13:13 Now it's about to close Bobby's mailback. Yeah. A week ago, Morgan said she saw one of her old friends wearing her boots. Because you loaned them to her many years ago. Many years ago, yeah. And then she's just wearing them. Yep, just all of a sudden they're back on her again.
Starting point is 00:13:27 So we gave you some of them. advice like hey just like it reach out i don't know what'd you end up doing well so i allowed lunchbox to reach out for me and he commented on her pose so as you as me oh my gosh any messager what you comment i said my boots look great on you oh that's so awkward that's it my boots look so awkward and awesome so she's wearing the boots that you loaned her they're not hers you it's lunchbox but you comment my boots look great on you how would you take that if you her. I would think, oh gosh. I'm assuming she sort of forgot that these are Morgan's boots. Do you think she forgot that your boots?
Starting point is 00:14:07 I don't think so, no. Okay. Well, in that case, I'm like, oh, wow, okay, she... How passive, aggressively hilarious. Oh, yes. That's exactly what it is. Me personally, if it was me, I would start freaking out and being like I need to get her her boots back. That was a, yes, passive aggressive blow. Okay, so you're right that. Yep. Then do you wait or do you message her immediately? Immediately. Because, I mean, there's no point in waiting. So I just went in the DMs and I said, hey,
Starting point is 00:14:33 when it's a good time for me to get those boots back. Pick them up or mail them? That's awesome. Pick them up. Did she still in Kansas still? Yeah, she does. That's terrible. Hey, that's why you give her an option.
Starting point is 00:14:44 And then you wait and see, wait and see. And then Morgan never gave me access back to her Instagram. That's probably a good idea to. Yeah. So did you know what he was riding? Yeah, I was next to him while I did it. And I allowed him to do it. I was like, go at it.
Starting point is 00:14:57 No, her facial reaction was like she was tinting up as a war. Yeah, I'm tensing up. She was like, oh, oh, oh. So Morgan, how long until you got some sort of feedback from her? Well, you know how you can see on Instagram messages when they see it? Red, he goes, poop, red. That was about 30 minutes later. And then about 45 minutes later, I got blocked.
Starting point is 00:15:17 Blocked. Wow, she stole the boots. What? She stole the boots. Stole the boots. What on her? She officially now I stole the boots. Yes, this is.
Starting point is 00:15:25 Now that she blocked you and she knows she's keeping him, she stole the boots. Well, this went the opposite direction, I thought. I thought she's going to get her boots back. Were you still close to her at all? No, I mean, we don't talk. We haven't talked, my gosh, five, six years. So it's not like we're friends at all. That's why when Lunchbox was doing it, I was like, you know what?
Starting point is 00:15:44 I don't have anything to lose here besides gaining my boots back. You should go Lunchbox as you now on her page and go like, hey, this is Lunchbox here. I'm just looking at trying to find Morgan's boots. Can you reach out to me? She blocks. Oh, I'd have to send her a friend thing, right? Oh, she's private. Yeah, she's private.
Starting point is 00:15:59 Yeah, she's private. She won't accept that. Dang, Morgan's out, one pair of boots. Dang, do we get the cops involved here? Oh, let's call the authoritize. Police report? No, I think it's like, you know. A certain amount of time goes by and it's...
Starting point is 00:16:12 A certain amount of time. No, no, no, theft is theft. Oh, that's a great point, Judge. That's what you say? Deft is theft. You know what I mean? You tell me like statute of limitations? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Yeah, I don't know. What the rule? I'm a Google statute of limitations. I'm a doctor, not a lawyer. Yeah, Google, a statue of limitations on white boots. I think Morgan, you're out of luck, but you've now learned who your friends are. And it ain't her. I can't believe she would just block you and not reply back and be like, oh, I'm so sorry.
Starting point is 00:16:36 I bet she'd delete my comments so her friends can't see the comment. Like, my boots look great on you. For misdemeanors, it has two years for felony, six years. Oh, how long ago did you go over the boots? Six years ago. Oh, gosh. There is a felony. All right.
Starting point is 00:16:50 Lunchbox, you tried. I did my best. What kind of boots, Lerley, Morgan? Lunchbox is happy to buy you. There are white cowboy boots. I ain't buying anything. There you go, everybody. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:17:01 With Bobby. Tell me something good. Over the past two years, nine-year-old Grayson sample of Seymour Indiana has been on a mission to have healthy hair. Every day, he would wash his long hair, and then dry it, and then brush it every day, putting all this work into it. All this effort, and even the attention wasn't to make him look special.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Instead, he was working to donate his hair to wigs for kids. All Grayson's hard work paid off as he visited his local hair salon. He got a major haircut. He donated more than 40 inches of hair to kids undergoing medical treatments. 40 inches. Wow. I needed him to share his hair tips. I got to get mine grow up.
Starting point is 00:17:40 You want healthier hair? That's what it's not for you? Yeah. Grayson said when he was holding his locks of hair, he felt happy knowing he was helping other kids, and he's not done helping others as he plans to let his hair grow out again so he can donate it to kids who need. it. And he might even let it go longer this time before cutting it off. That's a great story, Grayson. I don't know if you listen or not, but that's really cool, dude. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.

Amy, lunchbox, or Eddie? I'm going to go with Eddie. Okay. What's up, Courtney? And who do you think is going to be the weakest because you want Eddie to beat them? Would you like
Starting point is 00:21:49 Amy or Lunchbox? Oh gosh I guess Amy Oh gosh Don't act like this is so hard Amy's the weakest Okay here we go Eddie if you win she wins

Starting point is 00:22:28 No, he can play quietly to yourself. Yeah. Amy. Yeah. Answer. Fresh Prince of Bel Air. Eddie? Fresh Prince of Lair.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Good job. All right, tied up one to one. Next one up. Whatever happened to predictability. Amen. The milkman, the paper.
Starting point is 00:22:50 boy evening TV. What classic TV theme song is that? I'm in. Amy. Family Matters. Eddie. No, no, no. I thought family matters, but that's full house.

Starting point is 00:23:20 Next up. Just kidding. I just made fun. It's a rare condition this day and age and to read any good news on the newspaper page. I like how you read that man. That's good. I'm in. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Amy. Family Matters. Now that's Family Matters. It's a rare condition this day and age. To read any good news on the newspaper page. Okay. Eddie's up one, two to go. Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:23:55 I bet we've been together for a million years. And I bet we'll be together for a million more. What? Yeah, that's weird. I bet we've been together for a million years. And I bet we'll be together for a million more. Classic TV theme songs, artistically read by me. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:24:23 I'm in. I bet we've been together. All I have is the... I bet we've been together for a million years, a million. Do you have it? I have something. Amy? Dawson's Creek.
Starting point is 00:24:41 Eddie? Big Bang Theory? No, let me do it like this. But let's say if I do like this. I bet we've been together for a million years. Oh, family ties? Mm-hmm. I bet we've been together.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Dang it. I could have snagged that one up. No, no points there. And we've been together for a million more. And we both kind of messed up because I don't know that Dawson's or Big Bang is classic. That would count. Could be. They do?
Starting point is 00:25:08 Yeah, sure. Classic's just not. Who knows what that means anymore? They started playing Nirvana and Classic Rock. I'm like, you know what? I know. That means we fit that age. Everything sucks.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Okay. Shoot a monkey. All right. Last one. Eddie, if you get it, you automatically win. Come on. Amy, you need it. I know.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Ready? Except I do want the collar to win. No, you can't say that. Don't say that now. You can't say that now. You can't say that now. Alright, here we go. This one's gonna be speed round.
Starting point is 00:25:32 What? So one person can get it. You have to jump in early though. Ooh, I like this. Let's go. Final question is speed round. Ready. Ready.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Come and listen to my story about a man. Amy. Brady Bunch. Incorrect. Oh man, about a man and a girl named her. Can you keep reading that dramatically like you've been doing? Sure. come and listen to my story.
Starting point is 00:25:59 To my story. About a man named Jed. Jed. Yes. Beverly Hillbilly. Yeah. Okay. Eddie's high school days.
Starting point is 00:26:11 Let me tell you, though, you reading it makes it really tough. That's the point. It's very hard. You like the game, though? I do like it. Lunchbox were you sad? You didn't get to play. I didn't like the game at all.
Starting point is 00:26:20 Did you play lunchbox? No, I just sat here. You should be glad you didn't get picked because you're not like the smartest, but you're not the worst. I was going to say that. How would I like to be? I'm the smartest, so I'd like to be picked. Good point.
Starting point is 00:26:33 That's a good point. Can we talk to the real winner? You can. Go ahead. Courtney! We did it. All right. You did it.
Starting point is 00:26:41 Courtney. Good job. Eddie's a winner. You're a winner. You got a prize. The day's going great. Am I right? Thank you.
Starting point is 00:26:48 You're welcome. Thank you for listening. All right. There's Courtney, big win. Eddie, big win. Amy, do better next time. Lunchbox. Come on, guys.
Starting point is 00:26:54 You know you were here We liked that about you That was annoying That was annoying That is so dumb That's annoying Alright here we go Eddie in the winner
Starting point is 00:27:01 Lunchbox suggested a segment called Does it pay to be honest So I'm just gonna ask you that first Does it pay to be honest Eddie? Yes always Amy
Starting point is 00:27:10 Yes Unless I'm having to say Something about If you look good Or not I'd rather just say Yeah you look great So you're changing your mind
Starting point is 00:27:22 Okay yes it does Okay Just be honest Pays to be honest. I think eventually there's net gain and honesty. I don't think it pays every single time and there's some pain. But I think you can also grow from truth, even if it's uncomfortable. But the question is, does it pay to be honest? So I like the segment that he pitched. And if you're new to the show, Lunchbox is doing whatever it takes to make it on the news or to win big in the lotto. He is fueled by the idea that he'll have money or fame. Would you say there's accuracy to that? Yeah, 100%. Which one would you rather have money or fame? We go over this a lot of times. I think fame. Would you be broke and famous? Or no one's ever heard of you in Rich?
Starting point is 00:28:02 Probably broke and famous. That's weird. Because you have access to everything. That's weird. So what happened? You found a wallet? Yes. So on the airplane and the seat, back of the seat.
Starting point is 00:28:12 And I reach in there and I'm like, oh, there's a wallet. And it was like a little thin one. And I look and it's a driver's license from New Hampshire. And it was a 17-year-old female. two credit cards, driver's license, no cash. So I'm like, man, you know what? Now that got me a wallet. Time to get paid.
Starting point is 00:28:31 So to be honest, I turn it back in, you want to be paid. Does it pay to be honest? Does it pay to be honest? Okay, so what's this first clip? So this is me getting off the plane and walking up to the person that works for the airline and saying, hey, what do I get for this? Okay, here we go. No, I found the wallet.
Starting point is 00:28:51 He told me to get to the check, but I guess that's you. Thank you. I appreciate it. But yeah, man, I'm here. I don't know if I get my reward of a free flight. No, that is not me. I don't know if I get a reward of a free flight, $500 or, right? Yeah, it was just in the seat back, so I don't know. Got it. Give me one second, buddy.
Starting point is 00:29:06 Actually, I like, where did you just come in from? Nashville. Nashville, inbound from Nashville. Just go see the young lady at that counter right there. Oh, wow. It pays to be a good citizen, you're telling me. Thank you. You're welcome, sir.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Thank you. Okay, you got a wallet. You're feeling pretty. A little pepping your step, I hear. Little pepping my step, feeling good. Feel like, man, I got the golden ticket to give me some money. What is this guy going to give me? I mean, I said $500 or a free flight, right?
Starting point is 00:29:31 Okay, so does lunchbox get a reward? Yes or no. No chance. Zero. Does it pay, to be honest, Eddie? Not in this case, no. I mean, I think he gets like a, maybe like a hat. Oh, like a hat.
Starting point is 00:29:43 No, he's going to get nothing. Or like a Southwest T-shirt. It's extra, extra large. Oh, drink coupons. Yeah. I'm going to go with Eddie goes no Nothing
Starting point is 00:29:53 Amy goes I mean something But not what he's thinking Not money and flights I'm gonna go with no As well Nothing Two nos and one
Starting point is 00:30:03 Swag Okay here we go Hello he told me to come see you Yes So you're telling me it pays to be a good citizen Is that what happened? I'm trying Oh
Starting point is 00:30:14 Hold on There you go Wow a voucher Future travel on Airlines Wow, thank you so much. I was going to be, I was like, man, I'm not going to get a reward. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:30:24 But I got a reward. Woo-woo. Thank you. Wait, what? How much? $150. What? Boom.
Starting point is 00:30:31 That is awesome. It pays to be honest. $150 flight voucher all because I reached in that pocket in front of me. And here's the thing, guys. Don't give it to the flight attendant. Don't give it to them. They didn't, wait till you're getting off the plane and give it to the person at the top of that jet bridge. They're the ones that can give you the flight credit.
Starting point is 00:30:48 But what if you can give it to the flight attendant? and she can catch the person on the plane right then. No, no, no, it was in my seat pocket. So he was on the flight before. They were already gone, long gone. Wow. I'm shocked. $150 flight credit.
Starting point is 00:30:59 Woo! Now, Bones, does it pay to be honest, or did he pressure them into getting that reward? A little more of that second one. Okay. Yeah, I think they would have just taken it back and not ever given him anything. It's only because he asked. But also, lunchbox, haven't you found my wallet on a plane before? I probably have.
Starting point is 00:31:14 You probably let it behind. Okay, I thought so. So you owe $150. Hey, so what does it tell you? you guys, when you find something, wait until you're getting off the plane and talk to the people at the top of the jet bridge. It pays to be honest. And that's Lunchbox's segment. Does it pay to be honest?
Starting point is 00:31:28 And yes, it does. Nice job, much of us. There's a voicemail we got last night from somebody in Kansas. Oh, my God. I just listened to Lunchbox's police report. Oh, man. You know, I like this guy less and less every single day, every single day. day. Please, I'm begging you let
Starting point is 00:31:51 Morgan and Lunchbox fight. I'm begging you let them box. And Morgan, please pound him. Pound him into oblivion. Break his nose. Lord and mercy. I don't know what else to say. Idiot. He's upset at Lunchbox calling and filing a police
Starting point is 00:32:07 report because somebody stole his pumpkins from his porch. Yes. What are you supposed to do when a crime happens to you? Crime, not really the word that I would use. You stole the pumpkins to begin with? No, don't. Did they steal something that was mine? Did they take something without their...
Starting point is 00:32:24 I don't know. I don't know. I don't know if you made this up or not. I don't know. Did they take something? I don't think it's a police report, though. What are the police there to do? Protect you when you are the victim of a crime. I hear you. There you go.
Starting point is 00:32:36 And Lunchbox and Morgan are not going to box it. We get it. That's it. That would be cool, though. That would be cool. That would be awesome. Here's Amy's pile of stories. There's a new thing happening online and it's called reverse catfishing. So instead of putting up photos where you look better than you do in real life,
Starting point is 00:32:56 you put up photos that make you look worse. So that way, when someone meets you in person, they're pleasantly surprised. I never caught big fish with bad bait, though. Never. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, I never took a piece of dog poop through it in the lake and caught big old bass. You know what the fish does? Ignore it.
Starting point is 00:33:13 Yeah, like, why would I want to move on? But then maybe, just maybe they like you for all the other things. But they're not going to like you at all. There needs to be an initial attraction. Put up. Okay. I hear you. I just like all of our listeners to know
Starting point is 00:33:23 I'm reverse catfishing every single picture I put up. I'm way better looking in her life. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Trust me on this one. Trust me on this one. All right, what else? Older people used to retire
Starting point is 00:33:34 to spend more time with their grandchildren and their family, but new research is showing that a lot of people want to move further and further away from their children when they retire. Why do you think that is? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:48 I was trying to think about why, but I think it's because adult kids? I don't know, three of you guys are examples. Stay and living with their families. Parents way too long. Yeah, maybe. And we rely on them for a date, child care, things like that. They're like, oh, we want to visit, but we don't want to be responsible for watching your kids.
Starting point is 00:34:03 I feel like that could be a big one, like taking advantage of the generous things that grandparents tend to do. It's interesting. I can't wait until retirement. What are you going to do? I'm moving to Hawaii. How do you have the money to do that? He's not. I'm not saving anything.
Starting point is 00:34:17 You're right. You're right. I got to start saving. Yeah. How are you going to start saving? do that because I don't think we're super close to retirement because I think that age is getting older and older, but still we're at that halfway point where we're closer probably to retirement than when we started our career.
Starting point is 00:34:31 Whatever you say? I mean, I know you're never going to retire. I don't think I am, but whatever you say. All right, what else? Okay. Morgan Wallen's scams are happening and they have to do with concerts. And I know a lot of people would love to see him live. So a lot of venues are kind of freaking out like Rupp Arena and Kentucky.
Starting point is 00:34:48 They'd have put up this whole thing saying, Morgan is not playing. at our arena on these dates. If you bought tickets to it, check our website, check Ticketmaster. If you don't see it up there, then it's not a real concert. People are buying tickets to a show that doesn't even exist?
Starting point is 00:35:01 Yes. I would think, okay, you buy tickets to a show that does exist thinking you're getting tickets and they're fake? No. But it's not even coming? It's multiple venues.
Starting point is 00:35:09 I've got tickets to a Chris Stapleton house party. You guys want to buy those. Yeah, great party. Yeah, it's going to be awesome. Yeah, and then I saw Morgan Wallin, too, speaking to him, the odds for entertainer of the year, he's at a, you can explain the odds
Starting point is 00:35:21 to me. He's at a plus 100. Okay. It's probably the favorite then. That's why I was sharing this little tidbit of the story. He's the favorite. Do you know who's second? Probably Luke Combs? Oh, okay. Luke Combs is plus 450. Okay. That means if you bet a hundred bucks, you're going to get 450 bucks. If you bet on Luke Combs.
Starting point is 00:35:38 Okay. Same thing with Morgan Walling. Go ahead. 100 bucks. Go ahead. Chris Tableton plus 550? You bet a hundred bucks. You'll get 550. Miranda at 550. Plus your money. Those are underdogs. And then Carrie Underwood plus 175. No, 175? Oh, so she might be second place.
Starting point is 00:35:53 That's close to the favorite then. If it's just 175. Why'd you own that order? I don't know. Yeah, that was strange. So she's second. Luke Kelms and third. That's weird.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Yeah. That's not how you do odds, Amy. You will not be on 25 whistles any time soon. I didn't think I would ever be. There will be a new 25 whistles up today, though. That's our football podcast. Amy, is that it? Yeah, but maybe that's my pile.
Starting point is 00:36:13 That was Amy's pile of stories. Search Fremont Street experience and come see what you've been missing. It's time for the good news with Amy. Tell me something good. This guy, Brendan Burt, was driving in Iowa. It was late at night. Didn't know where he was going. Took a wrong turn. But that wrong turn saved people's lives because
Starting point is 00:39:17 he saw a house on fire. And he said he just had this like gut feeling that he should go check and see if anybody is inside. So he got out of his car and went and started banging on the windows and screaming, fire, fire! And then out the front door
Starting point is 00:39:30 because yes, these kids were asleep. They woke up eight years old, 14 years old, 17 years old, and then a 22 year old, they all emerged from the house. The parents were out of town and they are just super grateful for Brendan saving their children
Starting point is 00:39:44 and here's Brendan talking about it. They came out the door Like, I just felt, I was one of the breakdown and cry. I don't even know these people here. You know, that's a commitment. I'm glad he did it. But you have to go, okay, I'm going to go bang on that door. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:57 I'm going to go yell fire and bang on a door. And yes, there's a fire, but still, you got to have that in you. Because that's risky. Once Eddie saw a fire. I did. And it ended up being a tobacco smokehouse. And I knocked on doors saying, guys, get out. Wasn't a fire at all, was it?
Starting point is 00:40:10 No, they said, what are you doing? That's a smoke house. But better safe than sorry. I agree. And the video is crazy. Z. Because of the fire? Well, you see the people running out of the house and the whole porch is on fire, so they're running right underneath the flames. Eddie's video or the video Amy's talking about?
Starting point is 00:40:25 No, no video. There's no video of mine. Okay, okay, okay, okay. All right, that is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Let's do the morning corny. The morning corny. What do you call a guy who's had too much to drink?
Starting point is 00:40:43 What do you call a guy who's had too much to drink? A cab. Oh. What were you thinking? Ray. That was the morning corny. That's it, Raymondo. Saturdays and Sundays.
Starting point is 00:40:58 On the Bobby Bones show now. Runaway June. Ladies, how are you? Everybody good? Great. Do we like each other? We love each other. We love each other.
Starting point is 00:41:07 We do? We actually really do. All right. Just seeing where we are. It's a group. It's a group. dynamic. We have a group. We have, we have, we have, you have a group. There's been some changes with the group, but Runaway June, this is it. This is it. This is it. Jen, how are you doing?
Starting point is 00:41:29 I'm good. Yeah, you're always so friendly. I'm just, I'm busy being a mama. Yeah. Getting thrown up on and. Is it, is it more intense than you thought it would be, being a new mom? Yes. Everyone said it's going to be hard and I'm like, I've gone to radio tour my whole I mean like I can do anything and then when she came I was like wow this is a game changer but she's awesome she's so happy she's so smiley and every minute is worth it the first two weeks were tough and then it got better so it's only hard for two weeks then you're good no no it's hard a kid who's two weeks it's hard the whole time but the first two weeks I was like oh no what have I done I don't know if I'm going to be able to do this and I kept like apologizing
Starting point is 00:42:12 to her I'm like I'm so sorry I'm your mom I don't know what I'm doing I'm sorry I'm your mom I don't know what I'm doing I'm sorry, I'm your mom. I felt so bad. I'm like, I have no idea what I'm doing. And then I started to feel like, okay, I got the hang of this. Well, congratulations. Thank you. Natalie?
Starting point is 00:42:26 Yeah. How are you doing? I'm great. You know, you're a television professional now as well? Thanks to you. No, you're killing it. You're amazing. Bobby got too busy, so I had to come out.
Starting point is 00:42:38 Not true. Not true. So you guys are out playing a lot more shows because you're not able to do TV as much. Yeah. And so that's actually a great thing, right? It is a wonderful thing. And we'll talk to Stevie in a second, but when you bring in somebody new in the group and you're playing all these shows, I'm assuming that's the best way to get to know somebody
Starting point is 00:42:55 is just to go and do it, right? And just be on the bus and live together. Yes. What have you guys done to make sure, like to bond with the new member here? We already had a full touring schedule and had tons of festivals and stuff that we were playing this summer. And it was just, it was immediate. Like, we were thrown into the fire.
Starting point is 00:43:14 and we rehearsed a bunch, but then it was like, you don't really know until you get on stage and see how we interact with each other and then connect with the crowd. And it just has felt so, so natural. I mean, Stevie is unbelievable. How'd you find her? It's like she's not here yet. How did you find Stevie? Talk about me.
Starting point is 00:43:36 Jen already knew Stevie. Y'all had written together years ago. And so when we were talking about how we were going to move forward, you know, Jen and I played a couple shows, just the two of us, and we knew we could do that, but runaway Jean is three-part harmony. I mean, this is, we really enjoy that. And so, Jen, Stevie was literally the first person that she sent to me and said, hey, what do you think about this girl? And I was like, oh, I'm done. That's it. She's an amazing player. I mean, there was just something there. And then we all started laughing. We were like, we can't fall in love with the very
Starting point is 00:44:09 first person that we're thinking of. But we absolutely did. You did. Okay, Stevie, it's now time for your grand entrance. Here we go. We have the smoke machine on. Stevie, how are you? I'm doing great. You're new to the group. What are you good at?
Starting point is 00:44:23 I think being a part of this band is being able to work as a team. It's not a one-person job, you know? So I think the first time we got together, it was like we clicked really well and we worked really well together and we all do a really good job of letting the other ones shine. And so I think that's one of my assets. to this group is that I want these girls to have the spotlight as well. So it's really a trio
Starting point is 00:44:47 and you're hearing all of our voices in it. Can you sing? I try. I don't know. We'll see. You guys want to see? It's early. Yeah. You want to do something first? It is early. Let's do, just do a little bit of buy my own drinks. You guys know how that one goes? I'll teach you, Steve.
Starting point is 00:45:03 I can buy my own drinks. You know, I've sung this song more times than I ever thought I went. Okay. But here we go. Runaway June. with Buy My Own drinks. Hey Natalie, what do you have over there? What is that little instrument?
Starting point is 00:45:17 It's a mandolin. And that is plugged in. Most of the time you play a fiddle. Yes. Is this a new? Are you playing this more? Brand new, yeah. Will you play it without the guitars?
Starting point is 00:45:28 Let everybody hear this. Go ahead. That's pretty cool, huh? That sounds awesome. Sounds good. And brand new. How long have you been playing that? I learned that song to play in Runaway June.
Starting point is 00:45:41 A couple years of years. ago. But that was the only song I played on it. But then when we started working on new music with Stevie, it was apparent that I needed to play a little more mandolin because there were songs that just mandolin sounds better because it's more rhythmic. And so I just started learning how to play it. So I recorded on one of our new songs. And yeah, now I am learning mandolin. She's a virtuoso. Oh, no. It's annoying how good she is. It is. It is. You see certain people and you're like, oh, you get all that and I got this.
Starting point is 00:46:12 That's what he's in Natalie. That's why I feel about your hair. She's got the best hair. I thought she's like, oh, that's sweet. I was like, oh, that's sweet. We were actually talking about you, don't worry. All right, Runaway June is here. I want to play the new song, Broken Hearts.
Starting point is 00:46:29 So, Jen, talk to me about this song. So this song was an outside song. We didn't write it. And our manager played it for us. And we were all three of us were like, oh my gosh, that song is awesome. And it's so relatable. I feel like we've all been.
Starting point is 00:46:42 there and we've all gotten our heartbroken and done some pretty dumb stuff. And so it was cool to all three of the writers that was their first cut. They'd never had a cut before. So it was like, just felt so cool to be able to cut outside songs. Nashville has the best writers in the entire world here. So it's so cool to be able to be in a community. You guys are such songwriters. That's a, that's kind of like a badge of respect going, hey, we didn't write this. We loved it so much. We have a bunch of songs we wrote, but we thought this song was so good. And I'll talk about, a song Jen just wrote that was a big one for Keith Urban, which is pretty crazy too. Yeah, congrats. We'll get to that in a minute.
Starting point is 00:47:17 Well, you started my writer's career. We will stop all of that and we will play this song. You did. This is Runaway June and their new song. No, don't play it yet. Oh. Yeah, yeah, we're going to play it here first, like the song where you did all the special buttons and stuff.
Starting point is 00:47:30 You know where the guy sits in the glass and goes, do it again. On the Bobby Bones show now. Runaway June. Their new song, Broken Hearts, is out. We just played it. Ladies, we heard it. recorded version, but you know, anybody can hop in a studio, make a song. Anybody can happen.
Starting point is 00:47:47 That's true. Any Tom Dick and Harry can hop in a studio and, you know, push a couple buttons. So let me challenge you guys here. I'm assuming you guys play this song live, right? Acoustic. We do. Since you have your instruments, will you play like a verse and chorus of that so we can see if you can really sing?
Starting point is 00:48:02 Absolutely. This is our test. All right, here we go. Runaway June with broken hearts. I'm convinced. All right. They pass the test. Pretty good.
Starting point is 00:48:12 They passed the test. Hey, Stevie, where are you from? Like, what's your personal origin story? Yeah, so originally from Florida, but I grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. And you came to Nashville, how old? I was 18. Did you get in a car and just drive by yourself? What was that Nashville story?
Starting point is 00:48:26 I did. So I went to MTSU to study songwriting at 18 and then just ended up staying out here. As close as I could get to Nashville is where I wanted to be. Did you come to town with dreams of being a songwriter and then the artist thing kind of happened? Or was it, I'm going to be an artist in songwriting is how I'll get there? So I think it was the latter. Like I always consider myself a songwriter first. And if the artist thing came along with it, then it did.
Starting point is 00:48:50 And I just really wanted to focus on what I felt my strengths were. So I was really just focusing on the songwriting, studying that in school. And then I joined these girls. So it kind of worked out with it. Runaway June is here. Jen, so you did that last Keith Urban song. It was a big old hit. You wrote that, huh?
Starting point is 00:49:09 Yeah. What was the story with that song? How'd you write it? How'd you get it to Keith Urban, et cetera? That was so cool. So I wrote that with Eric Pazley and Brad Tersey, who are two of my friends. Brad's an old dominion. Yeah, Brad's an old dominion. And I actually dreamt that melody, which is so weird.
Starting point is 00:49:27 I'm usually more... Do the melody for us. Oh, my gosh. I know. I'm putting you to it, but I'm going to make our listeners. I'm like, how does it even go? Every time I get put on the spot, I'm like, how is it? Wild.
Starting point is 00:49:38 This goes out to the drifters and all. All are the dreamers ready to fly. You dreamt that? So I dreamt that melody. And I'm normally a lyricist. Like, I'm better at lyrics. So I brought that melody in. And we just started writing it.
Starting point is 00:49:54 And Brad and Eric are so great. But the cool thing is Brad and I happen to be golfing one day together. And Keith called him. And he was like, oh, my gosh, Keith Urban's calling me. And I'm like, what? And we knew he'd listened to the song, but he passed on it originally. and he felt like the verses didn't quite speak to him. So he was like, do you guys mind if I just, if I try to tweak the verses a little bit to make it more in my story?
Starting point is 00:50:20 And we're like, no, of course. So he called us and he was so cool. He told us he wanted to record the song and told us, you know, his rewrite of the verses. And then he sent us each text saying, you know, thank you for letting me record your song. And I'm like, what superstar calls the songwriters and tells them, you know, that he wants to record their song and just he kept us in the loop the whole time and he's just I can't speak more highly of a person than Keith Urban yeah he's pretty good yeah he's pretty good guy congratulations the weird thing was that's always a massive hit but I think it was it like number two or I think it was by like 36 spins
Starting point is 00:50:58 or something it was that it was so close to being a number one I know I really selfishly I wanted to have a number one party so I could meet Nicole kid That's funny. Okay, he's cool, but I mean, I would get to meet his wife. I ran into Jen and her mom when the song was at three to two, and she was like, I don't think we're going to get. And I was like, how are you not going to get number one? That's massive. She's like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:51:25 And then massive song, and everybody thinks it went number one. Just say it was. Hey, your number one song, nice job. Thank you. Number one in our hearts. It was number one in Australia and Canada, so. Well, then it was number one. That's right.
Starting point is 00:51:38 On the Bobby Bones show now. Runaway June. Hey, Natalie, you guys have been all over the world playing. When you go and you play Runaway June songs in, I don't know, you're in Europe or Japan. I mean, you're playing for the troops. How cool is that? Like, when you leave, what do you take away? It's the greatest thing ever.
Starting point is 00:51:55 And when we get to play and bring a little piece of home to wherever people are in the world, or even if they're deployed here in the States on a base, sometimes they're really secluded. But it's one of those things where when they say thank you to us, I'm like, no, thank you. this is such a beautiful experience for us. Stevie, you're in a group, and you know, these two have been together for a while. You have to catch up a little bit. Do you feel that way? Like, you, like, you two have been friends.
Starting point is 00:52:20 I need to figure out what's going on here. And the group dynamic, has that been difficult? They're just the worst people I could ever. No, you know, you would think that would be the natural transition, but they've done such a great job of welcoming me in. And it really feels like a group of sisters. so it doesn't feel like I'm joining in to two girls that have been in a band for years
Starting point is 00:52:42 it really just feels like this was kind of always how it was supposed to go I think after this interview you stop referring to yourself as a new member and you're just that you're just it now I like that yeah it's just like you got to get to a point too where it's you're just the band yeah yeah that's it you're just the band it's like the thing with Cole Swindell where it was like
Starting point is 00:53:01 he came in I was like bro you got to tell people stop asking you about doing merch for Luke like this is the last time I'm ever going to even mention it, I'm just going to say, I'm going to not ask you about that ever again, but let me ask you about it. There's got to be a point where you just go, okay, we're running away June. We're not the new runaway June. We're just runaway June. I love that. This will be the point. Well, you probably got a few more. I'll be honest with you. You probably got until like summer of next year. Then you cut it. We don't have their control over there. Yeah. And at some point,
Starting point is 00:53:28 you know, you have your people go, hey, look, they're a group now. They'd rather not be the new runaway June. But I really like where you guys are going. You have some new music. The new song is But you have like some other songs you guys, Steve be coming out soon? Yeah, we have some songs in the pipeline. We're really excited about. One of them is the second song we all three wrote together. So we're just, yeah, we're really excited. We spent a lot of time in the studio creating and playing on the tracks.
Starting point is 00:53:52 And we had a big hand in helping create them. So we're stoked. Hey, Jen, a lot of these guys on the show, or at least a couple of them, really want to be on reality television. Like they really do. Like lunch bars, amazing race. Ray wants to be. Survivor, one of those.
Starting point is 00:54:06 Yeah. So you won on Amazing. How many times on Amazing Race? Two. Okay. And what was the best you did there on that show? Second thing. They should have won. They got past.
Starting point is 00:54:14 They said it. No, no. It's a bullcraft. You see a trend here? I have at the first. The cab driver went around them and they got second. Yeah. By four seconds.
Starting point is 00:54:24 How much money did that cost you by finishing second? A quarter million dollars a second. Oh my gosh. A second. So four seconds. So a million dollars. Yeah. And I think we got like 12,000 divided by two, getting second place.
Starting point is 00:54:37 So let me get this straight. Major trouble. If you don't want, you'd gotten $500,000 each. But instead you got $6,000 each. So it cost you $494,000. Yeah. I forgot about it. I'm mad.
Starting point is 00:54:51 I didn't even put together the Wild Arts 2 and then this 2. Yeah, oh my gosh. I got to break the street. You're just waiting for a runaway gene to be there. Say something positive about her quick. Yeah. No, I have many things. I think she's awesome.
Starting point is 00:55:05 She's one of my favorite people in the whole world. So what advice do you give these two? They're both still trying actively to get on these shows. Man. I'll tell you what she's going to tell me. Get an agent. I feel like if you guys just put it out there in the universe that's going to happen. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:18 You put it out there. You guys should do Amazing Race together. You two. Oh, don't look at me. I'm not in this. It's Ray. I thought it was you too. I have poor kids.
Starting point is 00:55:27 I'm not getting away. You can't hear Ray because he's in the glass room right now. So it's Ray and Lentbubon. Ray tries to get a big brother about every three months. All the countries. Oh my gosh. I'll call the guy. Love it.
Starting point is 00:55:37 Of course she knows the guy. Same casting director for Amazing Race and, yeah. What about the second time you went on? The second time is when we got second. The first time we got fourth. Did you make any money doing that? A couple thousand each. Would you do it again?
Starting point is 00:55:51 Not right now. Not after having a newborn. Maybe like in a year when I'm not so tired. The thought of that now is exhausting. Lunchbox, would you leave this show? Right now. No, no, hold on. Let me finish the question.
Starting point is 00:56:03 You have to leave, like as in you leave because you're gone, How long does he have to be gone? It's a month, a month and a week. Oh, that's all? That's not bad. See? Yeah, it's not bad. I'm still going to pose it to you.
Starting point is 00:56:14 Yeah, see, let me go for a month and a week. Big Brother, I think, is three months. I don't think. Big Brother seems like the most, I would do it, but it seems they do nothing. They sit in a house all day and do nothing. And I think you have to be a bad person to win. I don't think you would win. Oh, I could win.
Starting point is 00:56:30 But you're a bad person, though. Makes sense. Yeah, exactly. Would you leave this show forever if the company said, hey, if you're gone for more than three weeks, we have to move on to go do Amazing Grace? Yes. Wait, no, let me ask it again. Would you quit this show to go do Amazing Race?
Starting point is 00:56:44 Yes. No, no, let me ask it again. Would you give up this career and you can't come back to this show if they said she made $12,000 finishing second? Yeah, but I'll finish first, get the million. And then I'll parlay that into the Challenge USA that they now have on CBS. And then I'll win that and then I'll go on the challenge World of Worlds. I'm sure your wife will be so happy about that.
Starting point is 00:57:06 You would quit this show for that. Yeah. So she's going to put in a call. She said, I love it. She knows the guy. Runaway June. They got the new song Broken Hearts. They're going to be out doing lots of show.
Starting point is 00:57:19 You guys are playing everywhere all the time, right? That's the play until you can't play anymore. And hopefully, we will see you when this song is making its run. And when it peaks at number two, we'll all celebrate together. Right, everyone? Right? I think number three is even better than number two. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:36 That's true. You know, in the Olympics, they say people have better mental health whenever they get the bronze than the silver because with the bronze, you go, oh, I'm lucky just to be here. I could have been fourth. If I'm one spot better, I still didn't win the goal. But if you're silver, you're like, I was so close to winning it all. So true.
Starting point is 00:57:51 I could see that. And as Jen, she loves it. Yeah. Talk to me about my mental health. Like you said, she's won in our hearts. You know we love you, Jen. All right, there they are. Runaway June, everybody.

Starting point is 01:00:59 Stories. The Astros take the World Series again for the second time since 2017, although they've been back. The Astros win. It's a pretty good series as far. It didn't go seven games, but even game seven was close and then it wasn't. Yeah, and the whole thing went back and forth. Like one, one, one, then two.
Starting point is 01:01:17 They're pretty good. Pretty good series. We watch most of it. Here's the final call as the Astros defeat the Phillies to win the World Series. Fly ball down the right field line. Tucker comes out. Kyle Tucker, this time they finished the job. The Houston Astros, world champions.
Starting point is 01:01:35 Not a big Astros fan, but I do like Dusty Baker. Yeah, he's cool. And he won again. It's pretty cool. Two men in South Korea spent nine days trapped in a collapse to mine, and they survived by eating instant coffee powder. Wow. You know what is a nightmare is thinking you're trapped somewhere.
Starting point is 01:01:54 you don't know if you'll ever get out and you might just die and you have to deal with that right then and there. It's like people who... You've said that movie where they just swim out in the ocean? They're just swimming? No?
Starting point is 01:02:05 They fall off a boat and the whole movie is them trying to survive by just swimming and they're dealing with like sharks and... Oh, no. It's called like open water or something. Like that to me.
Starting point is 01:02:13 Oh, is it a couple? Yeah. Yeah, that's a crazy movie. That's crazy, but it's just being trapped. Being trapped in knowing you may never get out of this. They did. And they're older.
Starting point is 01:02:23 Well, one of them was over six. The other person was in his 50s, and they kept warm by lighting a fire, building a tent out of plastic. They're in stable condition, and they were eating instant coffee mix powder as a meal. I did not even know you could eat instant coffee mix. And then how do you have to ration that? Yeah, unless you trust the other person. That's the thing. I'll probably try to eat them.
Starting point is 01:02:44 Yeah, I wouldn't trust you guys before they even die. Like, listen, man. Okay, did you know there are different words to describe the severity of coughs? This is from the English dialect dictionary. To workin is to cough simply because you're eating too quickly. Like, ugh. It's called a working. Okay. To kiffle is to cough because you have a tickle in your throat that could be something, but it's not very serious.
Starting point is 01:03:07 Oh, kiffle. To hosk is to cough harsh or painfully. And that means like you have something wrong, like the flu. And then to boke, B-O-K-E, is to cough so violently you get dizzy and almost throw up. Oh, wow. Never done that before. Wow. I never boaked.
Starting point is 01:03:25 New ways to describe our cough to our doctors. From the first for women website, experts say you shouldn't always turn to pills when you have a stomach ache, period. Not just for women, but for anybody. To get your stomach feeling better, this is what they say do. Drink a couple of glass of sparkling water. Oh. The bubbles. It's like seven up.
Starting point is 01:03:42 People used to go, oh, your stomach's upset. Have seven up. Well, now they're like, okay, it makes sense. But there's a lot of sugar in that. So drink sparkling water. It can provide relief in as little as half an hour. Plus cuts the chances of a stomach egg. by 50, 60, 70%
Starting point is 01:03:56 because it's what the bubbles are doing. So your grandma is right. How you should drink Sprider 7 up because of that, the bubbles inside of it, which is carbonation. Right. Yes, I'm going to start doing that because my go-to right now
Starting point is 01:04:08 for anything in my body is just tumps. That is exactly what they say you shouldn't have to do. Great. But I love a chemical. Yeah. Like it, I don't like a chemical until I really need a chemical,
Starting point is 01:04:19 then I just chemical me up. I reach the point of, okay, I'll take whatever you have. Shoot me up with it. hit me with it spray it put it in every hole whatever you got to do and that's sometimes I'm feeling good by the way mattress Mac
Starting point is 01:04:31 he bet a whole bunch of money on the Astros to win the World Series he placed $10 million in bets he won what $75 million bucks crazy it was the largest bet ever that they've ever had to pay out $75 million that's crazy Aaron Carter died at 34 years old the story's from TMZ Aaron Carter
Starting point is 01:04:48 he was a singer, a rapper, a kid actor Nick Carter's little brother but law enforcement sources tell TMZ they received a 911 call at 11am on Saturday that a male had drowned in the tub and that's what they're saying for now but Aaron Carter passed away
Starting point is 01:05:01 Mike said he was watching Aaron Carter do it live on TikTok Yeah the night before Really? Yeah Did he listen he had been through a lot Meaning he had tattoos on his face People were going hey somebody should help him Did he look like he was You could tell he was going through something
Starting point is 01:05:13 Really? It's sad Yeah, it's sad Terrifier 2 the movie Amy had to go see That you said was A plus? No it's the worst movie I've ever seen in my life It was submitted to the Academy for Oscars consideration. Oh, wow. Absolutely not.
Starting point is 01:05:27 But anyone can do that, right? Yes, but I think people have to watch it then. Really? Or they're supposed to. Is that right, Mike? Yeah. If it's submitted. Okay, well.
Starting point is 01:05:35 That's funny. They're drawing straws right now. That's two and a half hours of their lives they wish they could get back. People magazine had that story. The Powerball reaches $1.9 billion because nobody won on Saturday. Oh, my gosh. Maybe that's what you were feeling, that no one's going to win this thing. Ever.
Starting point is 01:05:48 Ever. It ends up going. It's like, all right, whoever wins, owns Earth. Wait, what? Yeah, the prize is so big. You will now just own Earth. We're going to give it to you. Hey, scuba, how much money did we not lose?
Starting point is 01:06:00 It's our highest ever, $57. Wow. How much do we go in for? This round was $80. Okay, we're losing less and less. At this rate, we'll break even in 2009. It is funny how the first time we switched to scuba as the lottery leader, it gets to be $1.9 billion. Pretty crazy.
Starting point is 01:06:20 I know. Scooby, we need to give you money again today? Yes, please. Yes, so we can win on the big pot today. Davos, Sweeney, had a really bad day. Notre Dame Bullock, Clemson. A lot of people are crediting it to the curse. Yeah, oh, yeah, that's what I thought.
Starting point is 01:06:33 He wouldn't come on our show. I didn't say it was going to happen right then. I said it's going to happen. It's going to be bad. It's happening. Eish, that's tough. That's from ESPN. Arkansas lost, too, though, so I have nothing to do with that curse.
Starting point is 01:06:43 I just have, I'm just sitting on the Clemson curse. Texas A&M. What happened? It's a situation, too. But what? You made me bet on that. I know. And then everybody got the flu.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Like half their team got the flu. Huh? I also bet on it and then half the team got the flu. So I lost. I had no idea until you didn't win. You didn't just lose? All of Colorado Station lost. It's getting real, it's getting real ugly over there.
Starting point is 01:07:06 My poor Aggies. And then finally, an El Paso high school group of students may have to take a retake, may have to retake the SATs because all their tests flow out of the back of UPS truck. Oh my gosh. I mean, hilarious. I would be so distraught. No, no, no. hilarious that this happened, but also devastating for those kids. But you know what?
Starting point is 01:07:24 Does this make possible? Maybe some of them are going to make a better score second time around. Okay. But if we're doing that, then some of them will make a worse. Right. Well, just so you know, I took the SAT three times and I did go down the second time. Third time was a charm, though. What was that charm?
Starting point is 01:07:39 Was it back to even or up over the first one? Up over the first one. Third time was my highest score of them all. Yeah. And then finally I made my way into Texas A&M. Right. You went to Blin Junior College, then A&M, then Texas Tech. Texas Tech was only three hours.
Starting point is 01:07:55 And then some random community college in North Carolina to finalize something. And then I got my degree. I like it. But my degree is from Texas A&M. You don't have to convince us. We're all cool with it. No need to yell. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:05 We believe in you. We know you're good. That's stories from NBC News. I hope those kids are able to find those tests. Okay. That's the news. Thank you. I think we should have what's called an ADC.
Starting point is 01:08:20 It's called an adult decision card. And you get this if you make decent adult decisions. But if you make terrible adult decisions, we take the card from you. Therefore, you can't get to the highest level of adulthood. Kind of sounds like Scientology, but bear with me. Okay. Okay. All right.
Starting point is 01:08:33 This woman, I would take away her ADC because she called 911 because she was talking about the pork. And she was like, Ida, this is not cooked right. This is pink. Listen to this 911 call. Yeah. Can I get an officer at Clive, Cooper, and barbecue? Yes, I had ordered some food from there, and the barbecue is peaked. I kind of snickered a little bit, and I told her, I said, honey, that's when the barbecue was smoked.
Starting point is 01:08:58 It turns pink, and she was insisted that it wasn't done. When the cop came in, though, he had a cute little smile on his face and rolled his eyes and just had his arms folded. I don't even think he said much to me other than I got you. They sent a police officer. Oh, my gosh. Because the barbecue was piqued. Listen, even if the barbecue was so undercooked, even if it had a weren't, if it, Even have Mr. Tricinosis in it.
Starting point is 01:09:20 It's like, hi, Mr. Tricinosis. How are you today? Still, you don't call 911. I mean, you can get really sick from pink barbecue, from pink pork. A, you don't eat it. B, if you have to, you call 311 or 411. But even then, you know what you do first? Yeah, Google it.
Starting point is 01:09:37 Or ask for the manager? Yeah, I don't think she, I think she was not happy. But she gets her adult car taken up for 30 days, if that's me right there. Not forever, because then you can't be an adult anymore. So what can't you do without your card? First off, you can't call 911 about pork. That's the only thing I have so far, because I just invented this in my head.
Starting point is 01:09:54 All right. So if you call 911 about pork, that's the only thing that takes your card as of right now. If you want to make things super clean and even sparkly, because they are so clean, they say to wash them and ketchup. Ever heard of that? No. For example, to clean silver utensils that are too delicate for the dishwasher,
Starting point is 01:10:09 we don't have those utensils. We have nothing too delicate for the dishwasher. They say fill a bowl with ketchup and drop the knives, forks and spoons into it, then let it sit for 10 to 20 minutes. Because the acid and the ketchup polishes the silver or whatever you want to be super clean.
Starting point is 01:10:24 And then use a small bit of hand soap and actually clean it and it will eliminate the ketchup smell. Wow. Yeah, I was wondering, it must be something to do with the tomatoes. Never heard a such thing. Now, being single for most of my life,
Starting point is 01:10:36 I would never load the dishes into the cabinets. I would load them into the dishwasher and I would turn the dishwasher on and then I would just eat out of the dishwasher, fill the sink up, load it back into the dishwasher, rinse repeat. Now that I'm married, I do more normal house things. The other day, I had gone back to my old self and I was like, yeah, I'm just going to eat out of the dishwork. I was going to take a ball, eat cereal, take a ball, eat cereal. Boom, done. Went back later, got a plate out of there. Put some lunch on it, some leftovers. Boom, boom. Went back to for dinner and grabbed a plate out of it. And that's when I realized that plate was dirty that I'd be eaten off dirty dishes the whole time. They were never washed. They were never washed.
Starting point is 01:11:14 That's what you get. Well, that's rude. Give me that adult card. Number two is you can't be mean. Morgan's been sick. Morgan, what's been wrong with you? So I had the flu. I woke up with a hundred and two fever and didn't know what was happening. And, yep, I had the flu.
Starting point is 01:11:30 Scoop Steve hit me up on maybe Thursday or Friday. He said, hey, Morgan's not feeling good. She said she's kind of dizzy and feeling kind of faint. Do you want her to come in? No. Absolutely not. It's like him going, hey, there's a fork there. You want to stab yourself in the eye with it?
Starting point is 01:11:45 No, I don't want to come in. If she's sick, nobody ever should come in if they're sick or not feeling well. And she didn't. She stayed home. And you're pretty much back, Morgan, is, except for being weak? Yeah, it's just my nose is still. You can tell in my voice a little bit, it's still there. But beyond that, I am pretty much 100% better.
Starting point is 01:12:04 I took a massive change over the weekend. A massive what? Change. Like, yeah, my whole body basically changed. Oh, she took a chance. Okay, got it. Usually, you don't say, I took a change. You take something.
Starting point is 01:12:16 Well, hey, you know my words can also be a little off. I might be a little foggy up there in the brain right now. She said that she went on TikTok and found this thing where you put onions on your feet. Does that help you? Yeah, okay. So this girl was talking about that you need a slice and onion, put a little slice in your sock and leave it on your foot overnight. And it will basically, like, rid your body of toxins. And I was like, well, what do I have to lose?
Starting point is 01:12:36 Because I feel pretty bad right now. Woke up the next morning. And I felt nearly 50% better. Like, it actually helped me. What? What? Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 01:12:46 Did sleep actually help you? Or did the weird onion you had touching your foot help you? Well, listen, I had a white onion. And when I woke up the next morning, it was yellow. It took something out of my body. That's kind of normal, right? To the air for a day or a night. Well, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:13:02 All I know is I had to peel it off of my foot. So it was stuck to your foot? Yeah, like it helps. Like something about it. Like, it absorbs something from my body. So just so listeners know how to do this, like, do you put the onion and down in a sock and then stick it so that way it stays there all night? Yeah, so you basically just slice like a long side of an onion and put that slice up underneath your foot and then put a sock on so it stays on.
Starting point is 01:13:25 Some people put saran wrap around it and then put a sock on, but yeah, you keep it on overnight. Wow, I went to snow and they have it on there and they say it's absolutely false. Hey. I don't listen. All I know is it worked. Maybe there was something in my brain, but it worked. If it works as a placebo, it still works. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:13:43 Exactly. Exactly. Because I was about to just try it, just see if it just improves me in general. Oh, onion foot Morgan here. Yeah, it's supposed to purify your blood and remove toxins. And Snopes says absolutely false. Hey, I don't trust Snopes, okay? I trust what my body did. She trusts a random 17-year-old TikTok who made this video. But you're aware of you, 60%, 70% Morgan? I think I'm about 80 right now. It's just my voice that's really bad and a little bit of brain fog. I wouldn't even know you were sick by hearing your voice if that matters to you. Well, that's good. That means I'm mostly better. All right.
Starting point is 01:14:17 Nobody won the $1.6 billion. So now it would be $1.9 billion, which is so bizarre. Someone's just going to have all that money. Crazy. It's so crazy. It's ever been in the whole wide world. And so everybody's buying tickets. But again, nobody...
Starting point is 01:14:29 It's crazy. Nobody won, too. All these numbers get bought and still nobody wins. But that tells you how hard it is to win the thing. 58-year-old man in Maryland was running late, had to buy some Halloween candy, truck or treating time. or he wouldn't even stop by the store, but when he did, he bought a ticket and won a million bucks. Damn.
Starting point is 01:14:46 Because he was running late. That's crazy. Tonight, people's sexiest man will be revealed on the late show. Stephen Colbert, who's the sexiest man right now? Who do you think wins? Like one of those Hemsworth brothers? Yeah. Yeah, who's Thor?
Starting point is 01:15:01 Chris, Liam. I'm going to go with the guy. He came in as the boss on the office. He's British. They said he was going to be a bond for a while. I wish I knew his name. He's older. He's like 55.
Starting point is 01:15:18 I like him. I like Michael P. Jordan. What's his name? Michael B. Jordan. Yeah. Has he ever, he's never been sexy? I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:25 I don't think so. I don't know. When he's training on Creed? Yeah. I'm like that. I get it. Yeah. Mike, you know the guy's name?
Starting point is 01:15:32 He came in as the boss and Jim wore the tuxedo. Idris Elba. Oh, Idriselba. For like an older dude? Yeah. That's your dude? Mm-hmm. So I'm going to go.
Starting point is 01:15:41 Michael B. Jordan, Edris Elba. You know, you always have the Ryan Reynolds type, the Ryan Gosling. That's so cliche. I think just like the Miley Cyrus husband guy. Liam. Yeah. Noel.
Starting point is 01:15:53 Oh, you mean his first? No, those are the Oasis dudes. Oh, I don't know. Because she's not with Liam anymore. So who do you have, Eddie? Thor. That's Chris. If you say Liam, I say Chris.
Starting point is 01:16:04 No, I'm not saying Liam. She's saying that. Oh, I say Chris. I think those guys, though, are so generic. No, but he's good looking, dude. They're not generic. They are not a dime a dozen. But I'm saying they're generic in the way of like, it's just another...
Starting point is 01:16:15 It's not their fault. Yeah, man. Don't punish them for being so beautiful and sexy. Wait. Yeah. I mean, what? Lunchbox. Well, I'll just say I have a book flight for tonight, so... A what?
Starting point is 01:16:28 A flight booked for tonight, so... I have a book flight, that's what he said? Oh, in case he gets selected. Oh, he thinks he's the one. Listen to what he said again. I have a book flight. Oh, sorry, I'm at... I already have my flight booked.
Starting point is 01:16:40 I'm headed to... New York tonight. I'm just saying. Lunchbox, are you the sexiest person on this show? Oh, yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. By far? Well, I know I'm the sexiest person in this, in my room.
Starting point is 01:16:54 What? Because I don't know about how you guys feel. I don't know if you guys are sexy or not. Some people may find you sexy. So I can say that I see myself as the sexiest person. If there are 100 women, they put 100 women in a room, all ages, all races. All ages. All races.
Starting point is 01:17:09 Yeah. How many of them find you sexy? Probably about 83%. 83 of them would think you're sexy. Yeah. What's wrong with the other 17? They may have vision problems. Are they have bad taste?
Starting point is 01:17:25 I don't know. Everybody likes different things. And how many do you think if I were in the room would think that I was sexy? I don't know. I'm not asking you. I'm asking how many... Yeah, I don't know what the women are going to think. I mean, some...
Starting point is 01:17:38 It's in the eye of the beholder. is what they say. That is what they say, yes. Well, they'll have that tonight. Blake won at one year, and they're giving crap. I know. Isn't it someone that's like promoting something too, though? No, not always. It isn't? It's usually somebody in the news, but not always promoting something, because they don't know what's going to happen. Paul Rudd won it one year. Maybe like last year. So they also looked for like funny guys. It's not just about, I know you guys are all about who's hot. Yeah. Are they normally older? Because like I was thinking young gravy. That would be, like young gravy looks like lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:18:07 Who is Young Gravy? He does any might. Oh, Gravy. He does so fun. Young Grave looks like lunchbox. I don't know who that is. What about the Rock? Amy, why are you laughing?
Starting point is 01:18:16 I don't understand. What's funny about that? No, I don't think so. No. Good. Good. But I don't think so. How was your podcast event this weekend?
Starting point is 01:18:23 It's amazing. Yeah. Yeah, it was awesome. I mean, the listeners could have been more generous with their claps and their laughs? How long did you go? You don't want to know. Uh-oh. You do not want to know.
Starting point is 01:18:36 What I know is if I ever go over. like 90 minutes people are starting to get bored and they won't leave okay but if 90 minutes is about the point where people are miserable yeah well well I guess you went way over that little miserable it's two hours but no I thought it was good I don't think anybody was maybe maybe a few people were miserable if they didn't understand what's happening play all the hits you got them in the old one the old B size for back in the day well I don't want to think about it I don't want to think about once I did go we even cut something because there's a part where this video plays and I went side stage
Starting point is 01:19:10 and looked at the time and then I said, we cut things I was like cut it, cut it, cut it, cut it and then we kept rolling and I feel like that it was, I feel like it was She's actually still there right now from the stage. All the people are held hostage in the theater right now. No, I'm very thankful for the night.
Starting point is 01:19:25 Like, thank you, Wichita. It was awesome. And everything was good. What happened at the airport with you? Flying home, I guess the buttons on my shirt, jacket thing caused me to get a pat down at TSA and it was a man at first and he was like we're going to need a woman over here and she comes over and she says ma'am I'm going to have to take the back of my hands and rub them
Starting point is 01:19:47 under your breasts and would you like privacy for this or do it right here? I was like we can do it right here so she did it and I thought well how kind of her to take me to a private room if I wanted and then also she's using the back of her hands that feels less you know so if I intrusive on my body. Can you even feel anything with the back of your hands? Like, like I can't. I don't know, man.
Starting point is 01:20:12 Why? Have you ever had to be patted down in that way? My breasts? Or your, or your bottom area? They don't get close to that. And I wouldn't care. That feels weird. Usually if I were a watch or something, they're like, let me see it.
Starting point is 01:20:29 Okay, you're all good. Or if I have a zip, they're like, let me see it. Okay, you're all good. Amy, I think you've been had. Are you sure you were at the airport? She's very professional. Bobby Bone Show. This story comes to us from Gastonia, North Carolina.
Starting point is 01:20:50 A 64-year-old woman was upset. Her dad was drinking Mountain Dew, and she was like, you can't drink Mountain Dew. So she took all the cans and bottles outside in her backyard and boom, boom, boom, boom, boom, start shooting them with a revolver. Only problem is she lives in a, neighborhood, neighborhood. Not like a bunch of woods in the backyard.
Starting point is 01:21:08 Right, right. Not like in an open field. Neighbors called police. They arrived and she's like, yeah, I don't want them drinking Mountain Dew, so I had to get rid of it. You can always just dump it down the drain. Yeah, yeah, you can do that. Then throw the bottles in the garbage. But shooting bottles kind of fun, though. Yeah, but not one your neighbor and their fourth grader lives right next door.
Starting point is 01:21:25 Yeah, you're right about that. I wouldn't, don't do that. Mountain Dew. I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. What's happening? Don't do that. Do that.
Starting point is 01:21:34 Thank you. Time for the good news countdown. Let's go. It's the good news countdown. Counting down the biggest good news stories across the lab. Let's go with number three. Number three. An older lady in Florida drove off the road,
Starting point is 01:21:52 plunged into a canal, and could have drowned, but a paraglider saw it happen when they were up and helped save her. He and a friend landed in a nearby field and found someone on the other side of the canal to throw her a rope. Here is Cristiano documenting the entire rescue. Need help?
Starting point is 01:22:09 Fell with my car in here. Let go of your left hand. Ah, hey, so. Wow. Hey, we pretty much saved these ladies' life to do it. I love it. Had they not been flying over, you wouldn't have seen it. I mean, pretty much, you did.
Starting point is 01:22:25 Cristiano. All right, let's go to the next one. Number two. A high school volleyball player out of Colorado, who was partially paralyzed in a car crash, had a big week, she became Homecoming Queen and served the ball over the net with the help of a parent. Here is Zoe Rollins talking about her amazing progress after the car crash. Ever since last October, I've been working on standing up and trying to get a serve over. I finally got it over, and it felt really good because I had been working up for it for like a year,
Starting point is 01:22:54 and I was like, I didn't put all this work in just to give up. That's great. And now, you're number one. Let's go. Number one. A miracle baby in England. Recently went home after 112 days in the hospital. His mom had an emergency C-section at 26 weeks.
Starting point is 01:23:10 He was only one pound, 10 ounces at birth. Doctors had to resuscitate him for 17 minutes before he started breathing, but now he's up around 8 pounds, doing a lot better and got to go home. That is a great story. That was the Good News Countdown. What are you doing today, Amy? I'm going to do some CMA interviews today. Do you know how many?
Starting point is 01:23:34 I don't, yes. Do you know who? I don't. Does anybody? I don't know. I also have to get a big PCR COVID test for the CMA Awards, but what I have to do that too. I found to be interesting, though.
Starting point is 01:23:46 We have to get it for the awards, but I get to show up and do the interviews with no test. There's no rhyme or reason about this anymore. It makes sense. And it's different organizations. True. I think that could be the actual show making you do that to get in, but this is. Right.
Starting point is 01:23:59 Well, we're going to be right up next to the artist before this show. have to go to. So we'll see what happens. I've got one. And we have a charity event today after the show. So that's it. I hope you guys have an awesome day.
