Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits,
Starting point is 00:00:13 my basketball and college football journey, or my career in sports media. Well, now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, the Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfilled conversations with athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated.
Starting point is 00:00:28 So let's get to it. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHard Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. When a group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist, they take matters into their own hands. I vowed. I will be his last target. He is not going to get away with this. He's going to get what he deserves. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:00:59 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe, on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodam. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. My dad gave me the best advice ever. He goes, just give it a shot. But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit.
Starting point is 00:01:28 If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everybody?
Starting point is 00:02:02 More to the O. Morning. Welcome back. Hope you had a great weekend. Let's do a little get to know. The question is, do you have a mentor or who's the closest person to a mentor to you? Amy? For work?
Starting point is 00:02:15 or personal. You know, it's just do you have a mentor? I don't really care where you go with it. But what comes to mind when I say that? That's tough. I feel like in different spaces, I have different things. Who came to mine very first? Well, some of my fellow adoptive moms.
Starting point is 00:02:33 That's good. I rely on them heavily, those that have gone before me. And that started well before we even got the kids, just the journey of adoption and how long that took and what it was like and what you have to do and connections and networking and all the things. But then once the kids actually get here, yeah, there's a few I could think of that I can call it any given moment, any time of day, and they would be there for me.
Starting point is 00:02:59 And I hope that there's eventually some other people that I can return the favor for and do that. I mean, and there are some people that have adopted that I've been there for them, but not in the way that these people have consistently. I feel like I have a lot of questions. Eddie, you have a mentor? I don't want to say it. They're going to laugh at me. Go ahead. They're going to laugh me.
Starting point is 00:03:18 I already know he's going to say Bobby. I would say Bobby. Like I don't really have anyone else in my life. Professionally. Well, no, even personally sometimes, I ask you about kind of my son that I've adopted a little bit. Oh, okay. So this is very specific though. Oh.
Starting point is 00:03:31 So it's not just kind of like, this is a great point. Oh, I get it now. He has, you have an adopted son that basically grew up kind of how I did. And Eddie will come and be like, hey, can you explain him why he would feel this way? And you have great explanations of why he asked him. Because it's why I feel this way. Yeah. Which is like, I don't think anyone else that I could call.
Starting point is 00:03:46 could have those answers. And so we talk about that a lot. And professionally, I don't think I could ever get to your level. But I do like how you approach things professionally. So I do ask you about some of that stuff. So yeah. Yeah, I'll just go with the sun thing because they're going to really get it. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:04:00 Oh, professionally. But the sun thing is a thing. Hey, Bobby, I can never read. But I was. No, I told you. Hey, Amy. No, Eddie can never reach his level, but he really admires how Bobby goes about it. You gave me a kidney.
Starting point is 00:04:11 I'm going to tell you guys. Oh, my God. It's not true. Yeah. Okay, but lunchbox, you have to admit, too, that when we start, like, even from the day we started the show with Bobby, he took it, we've learned a lot from him. That would make him a mentor. No, I mean, by watching him, but I don't go ask him questions and I don't like. Eddie doesn't really ask me questions about work.
Starting point is 00:04:32 No, no, it sounds like he. We talk about stuff, but not, I mean, we don't do that a lot. I mean, yeah, I'll go. I don't have a professional mentor. I wish I would have known anybody. I don't have a professional mentor. But I don't really do music, but I try to do music. We do funny stuff.
Starting point is 00:04:49 My mentor is Eddie. Okay. It is. It literally is. Shut up. No, no, because he was so disgusting. No, I will send it voice memos. Or I'd be like, how would you play this?
Starting point is 00:05:02 Or can you send me? Why is it gross? Yes. Bobby just did that because Eddie kissed up to him. So he's like, I didn't kiss up to anyone. Oh, you did. No, I did it. mentor. To be fair, Eddie was in
Starting point is 00:05:14 a band back in the day. Yeah. He literally is. If there's an issue, I call Eddie. And I'm like, can we play this? What do you think? Eddie's my musical mentor. I knew we're going to get crap for this. Oh, my God. I knew it. I'm just covering you right now. Yeah, he is. He's trying to... You are. I'm not your mentor. You are my mentor. You are my mentor. Okay. Thank you. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:05:30 Well, I don't have a mentor. Right. I just do my life. Like, I don't have anybody I... Your dad? You don't call and be like... Oh, you talk to your dad all the time. Yeah, I talk to my dad, but... You don't ask for like life advice? No, what life advice? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:43 Like parenting? We're not shoving a mentor down your throat. I never had one professional. I mean, I talked to my parents about life. Like, what's going on in my life? I'm like, oh, I remember that or this. You know, but I don't say, hey, my kids spit. What should I do?
Starting point is 00:05:54 I don't do that. No, you should probably ask someone about that. No, you just say. Yeah, why are they spitting? How are you going to fix that? No, you just tell them quit spitting at each other. Like, it's just, you know. They're spitting at each other?
Starting point is 00:06:06 Yeah. Yeah, you know. But I don't call someone to be like, oh my gosh, guys. my kid is spitting at my other kid. Can you tell me how to handle this? Really? Why would I call someone? Like my wife calls her sister all the time and she has great answers.
Starting point is 00:06:21 Like what we do with my kids? Like we do this. Mostly it's somebody who a mentor is mostly somebody who's been through the crap and what you're doing. Right. It's never somebody who's just as all bells and whistles and success. It's mostly somebody who's been through crap and had to go do it the hard way because they can give you, hey, yeah, that's good. Or I've experienced this in a negative way or this is the decision I wish I would have made.
Starting point is 00:06:41 And that's mostly what, with one of Eddie's sons, who he's adopted, he's like, why do you think he? And I'd be like, oh, I can tell you because I was really bad at this. And professionally, I'm seeing you because I just mentored, I didn't think of this, but I just mentored someone through a divorce process. Oh, yeah. That's awesome. Because that's some crap that you went through. I didn't know, like, lawyer stuff. I didn't know any of that sort of thing before.
Starting point is 00:07:04 And then so, and I had people that I actually called on too of like, hey, how do we do this? So, yeah, there's a bunch of different areas where it can happen. Well. Yeah. We're just mentoring each other. We're going to get a bunch of cards. You guys want to say anything else about each other? No, man.
Starting point is 00:07:20 We'll tell each other in private. We're mentoring each other. Yeah, dude. Well, I'm a kiss, dude. Here you go, Eddie. Thank you, man. Right back at you. I love you, buddy.
Starting point is 00:07:27 Mentors. We're going to have mentors. It's so gross. It's so gross. I think lunchmocks his dad or his mom's, his mentor. Somebody. He kisses his dad on the mouth. So what?
Starting point is 00:07:36 Your brother, no teeth keys, somebody. Yeah. But I don't need advice from them. Never from any of it. Just like to talk things out. What do I need advice? What about being a homeowner? You just figure it out yourself?
Starting point is 00:07:47 You just ripped it up? No, I bought a house and I moved into it and I paid the bills. Probably brothers, mentor? I don't understand. What do I need to ask my parents about? Like, how do I buy a house? Okay, you go, you find one, you get a real estate agent and you buy it. I mean, there's nothing to be advised about.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Oh, I did nothing. I had to call multiple people when I bought a house because I don't know what I'm doing here. It's overwhelming. What's a good rate? Yeah. Okay, well, cool. He's got it all. Hey, this guy right here, he got it all figured out.
Starting point is 00:08:16 Just because you ask someone a question does not mean you're a mentor. No, but if somebody you consistently go to? I don't consistently have anything I need anybody to go to for. Hey, bud. I'm here for you. I'm here for you too busy with Bobby and looking up to him. We're not going to step away to help you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:30 I am good, I promise. Amy, are you available for him? I am not going through a divorce. I can offer more than that. Well, he said you mentor divorces. I know, but I am good. I never wanted to be that mentor. I never thought I don't need that.
Starting point is 00:08:44 Okay, that's enough. Thank you. Let's open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I think I have to fire our babysitter.
Starting point is 00:09:01 She's been our babysitter for a few months. But after I made the comment about her being good looking, my wife once are gone. Yeah, you can't say that. I knew. Yeah, why would you say that? Just don't say that. My wife told me that our babysitter just broke up with a boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:09:16 And I said she'd probably have no trouble finding other guys since she's attractive. Oh, I get that now. Okay. Still don't say that. No, no, it's okay. I know. Just never acknowledge it. He's just having conversation.
Starting point is 00:09:25 I know, I agree. Right. The normal human, yes, absolutely. Just don't say that. But I'm a normal human and I'm a woman responding that I see now. But you know your wife and you know that's probably going to affect her if you say something like this. Okay. That's on you, bro.
Starting point is 00:09:36 Hold on me finish it, though. I don't want to give too much editorial here. Because yes, that shouldn't happen, and she shouldn't be fired because of it. But you have to know, read the room, as they say. Okay. Keep reading, man. I thought I was merely stating the obvious, but I guess I took just one comment one time and took it to the wrong place. And now she realizes how hot the babysitter is.
Starting point is 00:09:58 I don't know if she thinks I want to take a shot at her, like to do in the movies. Or maybe she's worried that the babysitter will take a shot at me. That's not it. Yeah, it's not it, both. I just know that it sucks that I have to take someone's job away because of how attractive they are. Either way, my wife wants her out of the picture. Is there more to this than I'm seeing? Signed, dad with foot and mouth.
Starting point is 00:10:18 Now, I will say, just generally speaking, this is unfair. She shouldn't be penalized for anything physical about her. If she's pretty ugly, ugly pretty. It's all in the eye of the beholder. It's all relative. She shouldn't be penalized for how she looks if she's doing a great job. And I hate that that it's come to this, but you're not. You know your wife.
Starting point is 00:10:39 And if you have to let her go, that's on you. Because you shouldn't have said something that you know. Because you know. Even if you say, I didn't know, you know. If you can't walk around and be like, hey, I think she's hot, like to your wife regularly if at a restaurant, then you can't do that with the babysitter for sure. Yeah, but he wasn't like, oh, she's hot. It's like, hey.
Starting point is 00:10:58 I know, I agree with what you're saying. Absolutely. He was just trying to be sympathetic because of her situation. Then say she's really great. she shouldn't get fired. I'm on you guys' side. Like, hey everyone, this is how the world should be.
Starting point is 00:11:14 But I'm just talking real talk to this dude. You messed up. I think his wife didn't want her work in there anyway because that just sounds like an excuse. Because the wife already knows she's hot. The wife knows she's hot. The wife knows when she hires her, she's hot. Like, she doesn't need the husband to say,
Starting point is 00:11:29 Oh, she's good looking. She can get a new dude. Like, the wife already knows. Maybe the wife's looking for a reason. But still, you had my only point, because you guys are putting me, you're painting me in the wrong corner here.
Starting point is 00:11:38 No, we're not. Yes, you are. I agree that she shouldn't be fired. However, she's going to have to be fired. Because if the wife already wanted her fired, she was going to get fired anyway regardless. If the wife was waiting for you to slip up, she's waiting for you to give her the reason to want to be fired.
Starting point is 00:11:54 And if she wasn't, and you just said this and now it's affected her in a way, she's always going to think it, and you're going to wish you would have moved on because it's going to create such tension in the relationship. Is it right? No, she should not have to be fired. fired, but I'm just talking not from an HR perspective, from a husband and wife perspective.
Starting point is 00:12:11 If something is that bothersome to your partner, you've got to do something about it. Is it possible? There's an underlying issue of trust here. And it takes a long time to fix. Still got a fire, even if there is. Okay, yeah, I can see. Like if there, yeah, do that so that you can take the moves to work on the trust issue. This could be a.
Starting point is 00:12:32 But that means like anybody that is good looking can't ever. No, not in general. With this situation, let's say he hooked up with somebody before. It's a great, great. Yeah. Then he's like, oh, wow, she's pretty. Then I would be like, oh, okay, well, you've cheated on me before. And now you're, even if that's not what he meant, again, he either knew the wife or he's messed up before.
Starting point is 00:12:55 It's just not worth fighting for because you have to live with your wife all the time. And you don't have to live with babysitter all the time. She's just random. It's true. It is not fair. I'm saying it again. Should he have to fire her if she's just hot? No.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Should they fire her? And give her a parachute as far as like, try to take care of her for a little bit. Yeah, yeah. Or like if there's, yeah, you know of another family she could go work for. Obviously give that husband a heads up. I agree with you guys as general idea, but the actual dynamic and the family is, if you're going to fight for this, then you're going to do it. Why are you fighting for her?
Starting point is 00:13:26 Exactly. You're right. Want to hook up with her? Yeah. No, no. I'm just saying. But that's not. But that's, okay, again, there must be an underlying trust issue if you have a.
Starting point is 00:13:35 But I'm not debating if there is or isn't. Amy, what Bobby's saying is like he's got to drop it. Like he can't keep going with like, no, no, no, leave her. There's no win for him and their family dynamic. There's no win. He's got to agree with her and just be like, okay, fine, you're right. But the woman is the bad person in this situation. The wife is.
Starting point is 00:13:51 No, I wouldn't say bad. It just depends on the situation. Yeah, we don't know the full story. If he cheated on her before and this is an issue, great. But we don't know that. If she has an issue where she was cheated on by somebody else really badly and she has trauma from that and things, you know, trigger. We don't know. It's just not going to be worth it.
Starting point is 00:14:07 It's unfair. Life is unfair. It's unfair for this babysitter. Sometimes I wish mailbag, like we have the people on because I have questions. Like, what's your history? How old is the babysitter? But it also doesn't matter. None of it matters.
Starting point is 00:14:18 The answer is you have to move on from her. And I wouldn't even fire her. I would just say we have to move on and give her a good recommendation. You didn't officially fire her. There's some reason. Yeah, it's not enough. It's a babysitter. So luckily there's no HR because this would be an issue.
Starting point is 00:14:33 When they call you for a rep, it's be like, She had to go because she was too hot. Yeah, okay. We all feel the same way. Yeah. However, I'm just going to the point of you can feel that way, but then you have to do what's good for your family.
Starting point is 00:14:45 Yeah. And that's not fair to her. That's still what you got to do. It's not worth a fight. It's a battle you don't want to pick. That's all. Yeah. Anything you'd like to say?
Starting point is 00:14:55 No, I think I said it. It'd be so cool to have to get fired because you're hot. That would be the greatest thing. They can't tell her that, though. No, but I'm just saying if you were that hot in life, I mean You're getting fired for it That's awesome
Starting point is 00:15:07 But that's the sad part She'll never know that So she'll just be like What did I do? She knows Oh she knows I feel like really Trust me
Starting point is 00:15:12 People like that know They know Okay Okay We can't tell them that But they know Yeah it's sex for her But
Starting point is 00:15:20 I got a feeling If she's hot Her life's pretty good Yeah Pop people have pretty good lives That's true I've heard from lunchbox
Starting point is 00:15:26 Yeah He comes in I'm had a great day Thank you That's an uncomfortable mail bag But we got through it Close it up We got your heat
Starting point is 00:15:33 We're going to be a male tank. NASA's looking for people to live in a Mars bunker, not on Mars, but they're going to kind of recreate what it would be like to be on Mars. It's an experiment. They're going to pay you $60,000. Oh, how long? Real money? Here you go. NASA is looking for four volunteers to be part of a simulated Mars experiment that will last 12 months.
Starting point is 00:15:57 The experiment will take place at the Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas, 1,700 square foot 3D printed building. Scientists will collect data on physical and behavioral health, while. battling extreme isolation and separation from loved ones. They're looking for crop growth, meal preparation, consumption, exercise, hygiene activities, maintenance work, personal time, science, work, sleep, how you get along with others. And again, you don't really get to be around your family. And maybe not even talk with them because they don't know. You know, if AT&T works up there, did another day, they give me a $5 credit.
Starting point is 00:16:31 Yeah, but, man, there's a lot of people out there that don't have families, got nothing going on. 60 grand for a year, though. This is perfect. That would be crazy. Yeah, because you could get out and you just have that money. You also wouldn't be spending it. Right. Right.
Starting point is 00:16:41 You have no expenses. I think that, well, you know, if you have rent or something, you can't just get out of a lease. But if timed right, it would be hard. But that would be legit. 60 grand for 12 months. I wonder if you could work. You can't work remotely because you can't even talk to your family, I guess. No, no.
Starting point is 00:16:57 Not on Mars, man. You can't like Zoom meetings from Mars. Yeah. Not yet anyway. You can be paid $2,000 to watch all 10 Best Picture nominees. So these are all stories about getting paid to do stuff. If you're into movies, there's a company looking to pay someone $2,000 to watch all 10 best picture nominees. They'll also gift to you a 65-inch 4K TV and $500 in DoorDash gift cards for snacks.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Wow. Oh, I'll do that. So here we go, the Oscars, which are coming up March 10th. Hey, Mike, D, movie Mike. Have you seen all 10 of these? Oh, yeah, I should have got the money. You did it for free. What's the worst of all 10?
Starting point is 00:17:33 Probably Maestro. Maestro is one of them. It's the Bradley Cooper. Movie on Netflix. Yeah, and then probably anatomy of the fall really boring in French. Oh, French. There's 10 nominations? They do a bunch more now, and they put in some movies of people that we actually watch.
Starting point is 00:17:50 Okay. That aren't just like cool. Yeah, I guess you're Barbie and Oppenheimer. Yeah, let's do them. Just give me a letter grade on all these. Okay. American fiction. Ooh, that's an A, almost plus.
Starting point is 00:18:03 It's solid A. I saw the guy won a big award. Yeah. The acting award. He's the writer who just decided to write something stupid instead of something good. He's been trying forever, right? Yeah. Anatomy of a fall?
Starting point is 00:18:13 I'd probably give that an F. Wow. Yeah. It's so boring. How did it get nominated? I watched it. I was like, I have no idea what people saw in this movie. But it has like a 96% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Starting point is 00:18:24 Barbie. A plus. The holdovers. A plus. I'll go A plus. I like that. I give it A minus. Killers of the Flower Moon.
Starting point is 00:18:34 A minus. I give it a. That's good. I loved it. It was long. but I liked it. Maestro. That's an F.
Starting point is 00:18:41 Wow. Oppenheimer? A plus. B plus for me. Yeah. C minus for me. Only because I was told it was so good. I think it might have been an A if you guys,
Starting point is 00:18:51 if America hadn't built it up. But it was good. It was really good. Past lives. Ooh. That's a solid A. Solid A. That's the one that you watched this too.
Starting point is 00:18:59 Yeah. Poor things. B plus. The zone of interest. C plus. What wins? Oppenheimer. What's your bet with you, Eddie?
Starting point is 00:19:10 We have a big bet, and it's so dumb. We have the Oppenheimer parley. Okay, go ahead. Best picture, it's going to be Oppenheimer. Killian Murphy's going to win for Best Actor, and then the director is going to win. So you have, if all three of them hit, you win Eddie's money. I get $100. Okay.
Starting point is 00:19:23 That's so dumb. But if any of the three lose, even if one of the three lose, Eddie gets how much? $20. Okay. So dumb. Why? Because like, I mean... That's movie Mike from Movie Mike's movie podcast.
Starting point is 00:19:32 He knows what he's talking about. Ray told me that there are some gambling websites overseas, and they have those three. categories that he just said that they're highly highly favorites okay but that doesn't mean all three will win no you're right i would do because we have a show called too much access a video show where we just did the indiana pacer's and we did we just shot at florida state we have a Auburn coming up if somebody would walk out with us like promote it for 24 hours straight i'd give him a thousand bucks human billboard wow what where i don't know but everybody's paying stuff to do stuff. Like if a listener
Starting point is 00:20:06 wanted to go promote this for 24 hours straight, they had to 24 hours straight. Yeah. We got it's not going to be easy. You got to watch, I think we have 19 episodes. And how much? Watch all 19 episodes, promote it. All within 24 hours. I give him $1,000. I'm shocked lunchbox isn't jumping on this. I'm not going to stand somewhere for 24 hours. Why not?
Starting point is 00:20:25 For $1,000? No, I'm good. Well, he doesn't want money then. Guy doesn't need the money. I guess he doesn't want that island. You guys can hit me up in my DMs if it sounds good to you. That's amazing. We just keep hearing about all these people like I'll give you $50 to eat nine eggs. Right. I'm like, all right, well, we have a show called Too Much Access at Too Much Access.com.
Starting point is 00:20:42 If a listener wanted to be a human billboard for 24 hours, I'd pay him a thousand bucks. But they could sit in that spot, right? A chair. Like with a sign? Yeah, as long as the sign stays up. Okay. Yeah. It's not torture.
Starting point is 00:20:52 You can't fall asleep. You can go to the bathroom. Yeah. I've not really talked about this illegal, but let's see what happens. Sounds weird. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:21:05 You know how sometimes we have stories. the brides kicking bridesmaids out of the wedding party because they're pregnant. Or they got weird hair or... Yeah, the pregnant ones are mean. Yeah, because it's like, what? You're like bringing life into the world. And also you knew they were.
Starting point is 00:21:17 Yeah. You knew they're probably going to get pregnant. Go ahead. They don't want the pictures to look off because they're like a pregnant person. So anyway, this is not that. A woman was fully ready to have her BFF be in her wedding pregnant.
Starting point is 00:21:30 But then her BFF went into labor. Oh, then the picture is going to be there. That's why you don't have it. No, the picture was. good because she'll be no baby. Yeah. Well, no, she's not even there. So it's sad. But Allie did something cool after giving birth and she made, she connected with the whole wedding via FaceTime and delivered her maid of honor speech. Oh, that's fun. That's cool. That's cool. That's cool. And so it's gone viral on TikTok like millions and millions. That's pretty cool. And you should probably
Starting point is 00:22:01 Photoshop her in to the wedding picture. Because now that you can do it so easily. What we do, well, we, it's because Caitlin's family will be somewhere. And if there's only like six or seven of us, if it's Caitlin and her sister and DJ, brother-in-law, her mom and dad, somebody's got to take the picture if there's nobody else around. So we leave a spot empty in the picture and then whomever's taking the picture
Starting point is 00:22:20 just gets photoshopped in because then they go stand by themselves. hilarious. Because you can't get everybody in. Is it always DJ? That's nice. No. It's never DJ.
Starting point is 00:22:31 It's never me either. Like we go in and stand because we don't want them to be at risk of us not being in the picture. That's funny, man. But that's how they should do that with her. They should Photoshop her in because she would have been there in spirit. With the baby, the newborn.
Starting point is 00:22:42 No? No, they should Photoshop her in pregnant. Oh. That's that what I was supposed to be. Well, then she would have to have taken a picture in her bridesmaid's dress. AI. Okay. Technology, man.
Starting point is 00:22:52 All right, great story, love it. That's what it's all about. That was tell me something good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'll say it. Yep, that's me. Cliver Taylor the 4th.

There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends.
Starting point is 00:24:20 I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no.
Starting point is 00:24:41 I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone?
Starting point is 00:25:01 I'm Ego Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Farrell. Woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day.
Starting point is 00:25:18 And I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head and
Starting point is 00:25:42 the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right. It wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's a Bobby Bones show interview. In case you didn't know. Daytona 500 champion, William Byron, is about to be on with us. Now, my NASCAR knowledge is very limited. However, Morgan number ones is not.
Starting point is 00:26:21 She's diehard. William Byron, what's he about? He's becoming that guy to beat. He's really good. Last season he won, like six races. Is he young? He's young. I think he's 25 or 26.
Starting point is 00:26:33 He's pretty young. He got his start in eye racing, which is very different than how most people around his age got their start. Like simulator? Yeah, simulator racing. Is he likable? Very likable, very polite. Like, you would let your daughter date him if you had one kind of thing.
Starting point is 00:26:51 He seems like a very just great dude. But he may be like the next up as one of the greats. Oh, I thought he was going to win the championship last year. He finished in third. I think he could win it this year. He's a great driver. Morgan number one's here. William Byron.
Starting point is 00:27:05 Daytona 500 champion. Let's go. On the Bobby Bones show now. William Byron. Hey, William, how's it going, buddy? Good, man. How are you? Hey, good. So is Will... William, they don't call you Bill?
Starting point is 00:27:17 I mean, like, I don't know, William's such a cool name. Like, it almost feels like you demand respect if you go full William. Has it always been full William? Yeah, I mean, it's William or Will, but, yeah, Bill's my dad, so I was called Billy in high school, but I try to avoid that one. That's a great point. If Bill's your dad... You don't go Bill. Then you don't go full Bill.
Starting point is 00:27:39 You're not... But are you William the second? I am. I'm a junior. Yeah. Okay, so here's the thing. William's Regal. Williams,
Starting point is 00:27:45 hardcore, deserves respect. William, not even junior. The second? That's legit. I'm just like a Southern prince. That's awesome. Well, I know we haven't met, but congratulations on the Daytona 500 and just being awesome.
Starting point is 00:27:59 I'm going to tell my show something about William that you guys don't, maybe you don't know. You can be blown away by. By the way, William Byron's on with us. Listen to this. You tell me if I'm wrong, William. Williams, a student at Liberty University, right? now. Oh, my. Why? Is that why he drives the Liberty car? Now let's ask, William,
Starting point is 00:28:15 please follow up on this statement. Oh, boy, what's that? The statement that you're in college? Oh, yes. Yeah. Yeah, I take online classes. Yeah. At Liberty University. But why? Yeah, that's his question. Why? Because he's rich. Yeah, you're rich and you got a job, man. Well, I'm working towards what I'm going to do after racing. So you never know how. Hopefully I race for for decades, but you never know. Could, I mean, I don't know, realistically speaking, couldn't you retire even right now, William, and live a pretty good life?
Starting point is 00:28:45 That's true. Yeah, I mean, just trying to keep it going, though, for sure. So what is his major, though? Racing. Wait, so what is your major, William? Communications. Oh, you can do this. You don't need to have a degree for any of this crap that we do.
Starting point is 00:29:02 You're good, dude. Yeah, no, no. Just keep racing. Yeah, no, dude. You got it. So he's like he's like he's like he's so young. So does he get question, does he get free classes because he drives a liberty car? 100%. Oh and can he clep out of driver's ed or any sort of driving class? Oh, so those are related? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:20 Do you what? Liberty universities related to the Liberty. Well, I'm sure that's why they're. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Do they give you any free credit? So they actually have to pay for the classes. But I think that's just the, the, but yeah, I mean, I, uh,
Starting point is 00:29:35 But no, they sponsor us on the racing side. So there's a lot of, you know, connections there. So they pay him even more than they would normally to cover that. That's awesome. And they're not going to fail their student that is representing their university. That's a great. Do you ever, I'm just blown away he's so successful and still taking college classes. Makes no sense.
Starting point is 00:29:55 To me that I think it's amazing and it's a great example for young people everywhere. But do you ever have to do a live online class with an instructor or do you only watch record? Do you ever have to raise your hand on a Zoom? and be like, I got a question, teach. So there's the discussion boards, and sometimes it's like a group project, so I have to go in there and introduce myself. So it's always a little bit uncomfortable trying to describe, explain what I do, but get a few laughs here and there for sure.
Starting point is 00:30:22 That's hilarious. It'd be like we're on and we're in Homeck and Patrick Mahomes goes, hey, I'd like to ask a question about how to make a souffle. You're like, wait, are you the same Patrick Mahomes? That would be crazy. William Byron's on with us, Daytona, 500 champ, obviously. I do want to say this. Tune into the Shriner's Children's 500
Starting point is 00:30:38 at Phoenix Raceway, Sunday, March 10th at 3.30 p.m. Eastern, 2.30 Central on Fox. I brought in Morgan number one because she is a massive NASCAR fan and she's going to actually ask the intelligent questions. Morgan, what is your first question for William? Okay, my first question Hey, William, by the way.
Starting point is 00:30:53 Hey. Is, I thought that Alex Bowman won. To be totally honest with you, did you think that Alex Bowman won? And to give some background, there was a caution thrown. So basically when the caution light comes on, that's your winner. Yeah, I mean, honestly, it's very close for sure. But when we crossed the start, finish line to take the white flag, I felt like we were ahead, but I couldn't really tell. Like, it's hard to see out of the cars.
Starting point is 00:31:20 Like, we have a full head surround, so we can't just turn our head and look to the right. But I knew he was kind of approaching, you know, coming around the outside, but I didn't know kind of where the lights had come on. But fortunately, I got the call that we were ahead. So when do you find out? Because obviously it was super close, but they tell you in your ear how quickly, because they go and they can watch pinpoint laser precision, how quickly until you know you want.
Starting point is 00:31:47 Yeah. So it takes like a lap for them to, for them to review the tape and kind of look at, you know, who's ahead and look at the timing. And they have basically a snapshot that captures where we are right when the, right when the caution is. thrown. So it took like a lap. So that was a lot of suspense. And your crew chief started crying. So isn't it true? You didn't know if he was crying like tears of joy because you won or because you lost? Yeah. I mean, he was, he doesn't get emotional
Starting point is 00:32:16 very often. So he was starting to ball up, you know, on the radio. So I wasn't sure what that meant. But it was a big deal for him and for us as a team. So it was cool. When they're on a radio, can you hear them clearly or is it so loud sometimes you have to? like, what? Huh? Is that, is that ever a thing? So, yeah, so we have like a lot of noise canceling, but, but still, it's super loud. So, yeah, like, you're always kind of, I can always hear them pretty clearly. Sometimes I have to turn them up. A lot of times I have to turn them down because their voice can be pretty annoying under the, the cautions when the noise isn't as high. So, but most of the time for me, it's like having to shout back to them. Like, they don't hear
Starting point is 00:32:58 me the first time. So I'm like, okay, now I have to emphasize, what I say again. Once, when we first started to syndicate our show, we were in multiple cities, but we didn't understand what we were doing. And we got on the air, we thought we were off the air. And we started, well, I guess we're off the air. So let's just say stuff we'd never say on the air. We were saying, like, our home addresses.
Starting point is 00:33:15 Phone numbers. Phone number. Oh, geez. Right. Do you ever hear them leave the radio on the accident? And they're like, man, William sucks today. Or, man, I wish I wouldn't eat that testata. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:24 Do you ever hear something where you're really not supposed to hear it? So there's a second channel. and they can say whatever they want on there technically because I never hear that one. But I do get my engineers to send me all the full radio after the race. So if there's any talking going on, then I definitely hear it eventually. That's the channel we want.
Starting point is 00:33:45 Wait. So, William, you take the time to listen back to the full conversations after the race? Not for that reason, but, you know, to try to study for sure. That's what I'm hearing. I don't know about you about me. He's watching Game tape to Crap Talk. William Byron's on with us. This is also, I'm going to ask another, like, goofy question
Starting point is 00:34:03 that I really care about before we get another serious question. But I like to play Madden and I like to play NBA. So the two games I play on PS5 with my friends. Listen to this about William. It's not like he's 50. He's still in college. But as a teen, he won 290, had 298 top fives and 100 wins on the eye racing simulator against worldwide competition.
Starting point is 00:34:23 Then he moved to real cars. So how much did that, how hard was that transition going from, I don't even know the simulator to the real car. Was it easy as easy as pie the same or not? I mean, very different, but the same skills still apply. I felt like I still had a feel for the car. But on eye racing, when I was racing on the sim to learn how to drive, I was using my eyes a lot and basically the feel in my hands and my feet.
Starting point is 00:34:48 And then I feel like when you get into the real car, you're using the noise, the feel underneath through your whole body. So definitely a lot more intimidating. getting into a race car and kind of the danger aspect of it. Because that's real. That'd be like playing Call of Duty and being like, I'm the king. And then they say, okay, but here's a real gun with real people. All of a sudden, your butt puckers a little bit when you're out there for sure.
Starting point is 00:35:10 Morgan? Okay, I have a nosy question. So a couple seasons ago, I think it was 2022, you got a $50,000 fine for spinning Denny Hamlin. Yeah. By accident, apparently, under caution. and then, you know, it ended up being bumped up to 100K so your team could get back some of your playoff points. My question, did you have to pay that fine or does
Starting point is 00:35:36 Hinder? Liberty. Yeah, does Henslery pay it? Does Hinderick pay it? Who pays that fine? So I paid that one, unfortunately, yeah. But it, not a great day, but it was, you know, it was better. They got rid of the points part of it.
Starting point is 00:35:53 So at least, you know, that part was better. So you were happy. to pay $100,000 instead of 50 so you could have your extra playoff points. I wasn't happy about it, but it happened. Hey, it's okay, guys. I just Googled your projected net worth for 2024. They project network?
Starting point is 00:36:09 Oh, what is it? He's the dumbest page. Go ahead. This is $25 million. Oh, $100K. He's going to school in case he wants to be a podcast. Well, we have a network for that. Yeah, we do, William.
Starting point is 00:36:23 So I got to find a million bucks once by the FCC. see, I get, who paid that? Hey, I didn't get any points taken away. I didn't get points. I got nothing. So, like, I relate. William Byron's on with us.
Starting point is 00:36:35 William, so we have these, we have, we have Joey Legano helmet. We have a Ryan Blaney helmet. It is great luck for people, for especially drivers when they come on the show, to send us memorabilia because they drive wonderfully for the quarter. That's the deal we made. We can't do it six months. But we can give you three months of solid, safe drive. and let's say, hey, Blaney, Ligano, not doing so bad, am I right?
Starting point is 00:37:00 That's right. No, no, they're on top of their games for sure. Exactly, so we'll get you that address, we'll feature it up here. Yeah, send us your class schedule. And he'll have a heck of three months coming up right here. Morgan, another question. Okay, speaking of Joey Lugano, he just got penalized for his gloves at Atlanta. Apparently the left hand had extra webbing in between the fingers.
Starting point is 00:37:22 And when I saw that headline, I'm like, that can't actually help. his performance. There's no way. But then I saw Bob Pockeris. I think he did a story about how he can stick his fingers out the window net and it helps, like, manipulate the air. What? Is that real? Like, do you, as a driver, are you thinking that's something that could have actually given Joey an advantage? I don't know how much, you know, I don't know how to quantify how much of an advantage, but definitely all of our engineers tell us to do that now that you're supposed to put your hand out the window and basically put it at a flat angle so it blocks the air. So it's just a way to eliminate, like if you stick your hand out the window going down the highway, how much your hand
Starting point is 00:38:04 gets pulled back. Basically, if you put it flat, it just deflects the air out. So pretty, pretty smart move there to put webbing inside the glove. Let me get this straight. So if I'm driving my car, I don't get it. And I put my hand out. And sometimes if my blinkers out, I will, I'll be like, Left, bent arm. Right. Right. What will it help me do? Or what will it help you guys do that you're not supposed to do?
Starting point is 00:38:30 When you say manipulate, is it that? Yeah. Is it, I guess, the margin of difference is it that small where even the smallest little bit of air manipulation affects a race? Yeah, so basically it just makes the car go faster in a straight line. So it's just eliminating, like, air coming in the car and slowing it down. So we just call it drag. It's just an aerodynamic term. But yeah, it's less drag.
Starting point is 00:38:57 If you put your hand out the window at the right angle, it blocks all that. He's correct. I googled it. I would do drag when I would ride bike for like triathlons. You can get in somebody's. Isn't that called drag? Yeah. Drift.
Starting point is 00:39:12 Yeah. You tried. I'm an idiot. You ever get behind like an 18 wheeler and it just shakes your car like that? Like, so it's weird because these race car drivers, it's hard to keep the lead for a long time because they're getting fresh air and not so much just like the winds making a tunnel for them. Is that right? Yeah, that's right. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:39:30 There's a draft just like, yeah, very similar to cycling. Like if you get tucked in behind another car, you go way faster, you know, you go way faster because of the draft they give you. But, but yeah. Would you ever purposefully not take the lead if you knew the lead car is kind of a chump and you could take them anyway and just ride? and just ride him until it was time to like, while it was time to like, you know, slingshot forward. So, yeah, like, that's definitely a strategy, like riding in second. But as the laps get towards the end, you don't want to be in second because you could,
Starting point is 00:40:06 you know, you might not get a chance to make a move. So, you know, you have cautions and you have crashes behind you. So you try to get the lead, you know, I don't want to give all my strategy away, but you try to get the lead, you know, somewhere within 10 laps to go. And I asked that in a way that's not fully stupid because running, there are times where you let someone hold the pace. 100%. And you know they're kind of a chump and you can take them,
Starting point is 00:40:30 but you just don't want to take them yet and set a new pace. I didn't know if cars were like that, too. Imagine if you get your hand out the window at the same time. Oh, my God. I know. You're hauling. Okay, we have three final questions. Morgan, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:40:41 Okay, so William, I don't know if you heard Kevin Harvick's latest podcast episode, but he's retired from, he retired at the end of last season. And he mentioned that you're really blossoming right now and that he projects you're going to win another. Blossoming. Sounds like he's going to do puberty. That's, those are his words. Okay, go ahead. And he projects you're going to win five to seven races this year.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Oh, wow. What's it feel like to be in that position now where you're being viewed as the one to beat because last season really set the stage for that? Yeah, I mean, it's unique. It's definitely a bit of a target on her back as a team because I feel like, you know, everyone's measuring us, but it is good. I mean, I think I enjoy it.
Starting point is 00:41:21 I enjoy, I feel like our team's getting really strong. We have a great pit crew. We have a great guys that build the race cars, and we communicate really well. So I feel like all the things are starting to come together for long-term success. I know you're in Charlotte. Are you a Panthers fan? I am, unfortunately, right now. Yeah, tough year.
Starting point is 00:41:42 How did you feel about Frank Wright being? you know, run out of town after one year? Yeah, that was a tough hire. I never really, I don't know if I agreed with that one. It was tough to kind of rally the team, it seemed like. But, I mean, the new guy, Canales, he seems like he's got good charisma. So hopefully he's the answer. Bryce Young, I feel like he's that dude, but didn't have a shot last year.
Starting point is 00:42:04 How do you feel about Bryce Young? I mean, he's kind of my height, so that's the only thing. But I think he's putting on some weight. I think he's obviously a great passer, has a great skill set. We just got to get the offensive line surrounding him. And we got to get some weapons on the outside. We don't have a lot of speed.
Starting point is 00:42:23 So hopefully we can get a few speedy weapons for him. The only, so this ball here is signed by, we went and did a thing with Bryce and, well, Coach Rock at the time. And we got this ball and they signed it. This is the only not good example of luck that the memorabilia luck. I'm going to be honest with you. I got to, but we're Panthers guys.
Starting point is 00:42:42 We did a sports show episode with them. and they both signed it. Do you think this ball is more valuable because the coach got fired in Bryce or less valuable? You know, I give it like 10 years. Maybe it'll be really valuable because of Bryce. But you think the value goes down because the coach was, yeah, probably. Dang, all right. Maybe a little.
Starting point is 00:42:59 Maybe. Well, look, we're super pumped. We're rooting for you. Thank you. Yeah, I mean, it's really cool to see you blossom. Who doesn't love to see him in a ballroom? He's blossoming right now. That's just a weird word.
Starting point is 00:43:09 He's one of the best out there. I know. He won't get a year. I mean, the dude's killing. but I'm saying the word blossom feels like a word you use for somebody in puberty. Yeah. William, are you willing to share your current GPA? GPA?
Starting point is 00:43:23 Oh, I feel like it's, I feel like it's, oh, I should know this. I think it's right around like 3.2. That's good. On a roll and a full-time job. He's blossoming. A and B students. When you drive the truck, how different? Very different.
Starting point is 00:43:40 I mean, those things talk about drag. They have a ton because, The roof is so tall. So they just, they feel like they go really slow down the straightaways. But, but they're fun. They have a lot of,
Starting point is 00:43:52 they move around a lot. They buffer in the air a lot. So like right in the back of one of those during the race. I used to get everywhere back in Arkansas. Always had to get in the back. Yeah. Like you should have to do a race with somebody in the back and that part of the win is they didn't die. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:44:06 Or you strap them in and they just have to suffer. Yeah, you need to ride, you need to ride in a two-seater in the right side. You have a great time doing that. I'd vomit my brains out. William Byron, you guys can follow him on Instagram, and Twitter, William Byron,
Starting point is 00:44:20 driver of the number 24, Chevy Camaro Z-L-1 for Hendrick Motorsports. And let me say again, be sure to watch the Shriner's Children 500 at Phoenix Raceway on Sunday, March 10th at 3.30 p.m. Eastern, 2.30 Central on Fox. Hey, William, really great to spend some time with you. We appreciate it. And hopefully, you know, we'll come out there and see you sometime.
Starting point is 00:44:38 Yeah, yeah, man. Thank you, all for having me. See you, buddy. We're going to play a game. We haven't played on. long time. It's called Master Pista. Oh, wow. Ramundo and I'll be acting out a movie scene.
Starting point is 00:44:51 You write down the answer. If you get it, you move on to the next. The first one is going to be extremely easy. The second one is going to be middle. Third one's going to be hard. Can you name the movie that Oremundo and myself are acting out? We play Master Pistiaeta. Ramundo, are you ready? Yes.
Starting point is 00:45:08 And don't say the name. Okay. Action. Hey man, you got new legs? Yeah, I got new legs. Custom made titanium alloy is what they use on the space shuttle. Space shuttle? Well, hot dang!
Starting point is 00:45:27 You're like an astronaut now. Yeah, something like that. But I still ain't got no sea legs. Can't find my balance on these things. Maybe you just need to give it some time. Y'all get used to it. Maybe, maybe not. But hey, at least I can stand tall now.
Starting point is 00:45:39 Like that's something. Sure is. You look good up there. Thank you. You know, you're like a brother to me. I reckon that makes us even. Yeah, I reckon it does. I reckon it does.
Starting point is 00:45:50 There we go. Sing! That was all one movie? What? That was all one movie? Yeah, man. It might have seemed like we did nine characters, but we were. We're just finding ourselves.
Starting point is 00:45:59 Okay. End for the win. Okay. I'm in. Why do you do a face like that? Yellow card. I don't like the face. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:46:09 You did a face? I don't like it, yellow card. I was making a face with I don't think I'm right. Okay, I take it back. No yellow card. Okay. Everybody in? In.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Amy. I had a hint of Matthew McConaughey somewhere. We're trying not to do impressions. I know. Okay, go ahead. Interstellar. Okay, Eddie? Yeah, I had Matthew McConaughey, too, in there in Forrest Gump.
Starting point is 00:46:28 But space? Lunchbox. I have Forrest Gump. What would it be space? The part that's the Ticcan Amall. He didn't say I'm on the space shuttle. Wait, wait, wait. I could have swore you were on a ship or something.
Starting point is 00:46:41 Do you think they were going to quote Interstellar, a movie that like 2% of people have seen in the world? The answer is Forrest Gump. Ray, good job. Okay, that's why I made a face. I'm like, why would they act out... Yellow card again, but you're limited to show. Wow. Why would they act out interstellar?
Starting point is 00:46:55 For the easy one. So you're purposely not doing the character's voice. Yes, because Ray could have been like, Lieutenant Dan. Right, right, right. We're doing, we're acting. Cally. Acting?
Starting point is 00:47:07 But we're doing it as an actor that is not doing an oppression. Got it. Where did I hear space shuttle? He said space shuttle. The metal and the legs of Lieutenant Dan were what they used. on a space shuttle. That's why. Amy that we're doing Star Trek.
Starting point is 00:47:19 Okay. Ready, Ray. Yep. Number two, Eddie and Lunchbox both in. Yes. And action. Here. Thought you might like this.
Starting point is 00:47:29 Armica, what's this for? Well, I say music sues the soul. Figured it might help pass the time in here. Ain't nothing in here going to sue my soul. Maybe not. But it can't hurt to try, right? I mean, I suppose not. Go on.
Starting point is 00:47:46 Give it a try. See? Not bad. You've got a real talent. Yeah, well, don't get no ideas about starting to ban now. Wouldn't dream of it. Sing! Why is all your movies like Huck Finn and like Tom Sawyer?
Starting point is 00:48:07 Seen! No crowd. Masterpiece of Santa! Can you name that movie? We're killing it, bud. They can laugh if they want. We're killing it. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:17 And that harmonica playing was pretty good. Thank you. I'm in. I'm in for the win. Lunchbox? Shawshay. Eddie? Huck Finn in Shawshank Redemption.
Starting point is 00:48:27 Correct. It's like what, Hung Finn? What is that? That is Shawshank Redemption. That is Shawshank Redemption. Good. We have one more movie. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:48:36 If you tie, we go one sudden death trivia question. Got it. About movies. Okay. Or do you want us just yell our name on this? No, because I don't want you interrupt our vibe. I know, because you guys are nailing it. Mass.
Starting point is 00:48:45 This is the hard one. Action. Something strange is going on. I can't shake this feeling that my whole life is alive. Take it easy, buddy. You're overthinking things. No, I'm serious. There are things happening, things I can't explain.
Starting point is 00:49:00 Look, look, look. I know things have been weird lately. But you're just imagining things. Everything's fine. I'm serious. There's things happening. Things I can't explain. Did I just read the same line?
Starting point is 00:49:10 Yes, you did. But what about the glitches? The things that don't add up. Coincidence. You are reading too much into it. I'm not giving up. I need to find out the truth no matter what it takes. Okay.
Starting point is 00:49:25 Just let it go. Because sometimes ignorance is bliss, you know. Not this time. I won't be kept in the dark anymore. See? Wow, that was good. Ah, so he's seen it, huh? That was real good.
Starting point is 00:49:41 Well, and hey, you like how we just improv and you mess up the line? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, we just kept going. But usually the actor doesn't say like, I just wrote the same line. Yeah, but then I was like, who cares? Keep going. Oh, that wasn't part of the movie? No, you never know.
Starting point is 00:49:52 I agree. I have no idea. I'm in. Wow. For the win. I'm in for the win. I have no idea. I do.
Starting point is 00:49:59 Lexha box. I put Matrix. Not a bad guess. Never seen it. I can appreciate a solid guest, not it. Eddie? And I think it helped that you guys didn't do country accents in this one. Give me the Truman Show.
Starting point is 00:50:12 I don't, I've never seen that. Jim Carrey? Yeah. Yeah. because the glitches. Dang, I was another one of my thoughts, but I didn't... The Matrix is a good guess, though, for glitches. It is. It's the Truman Show.
Starting point is 00:50:20 Maddie, you win the game. Here's your song. It's not about me today. It's about the actors. That was some good actors. Let's go. Hey, more. You get an Oscar, buddy.
Starting point is 00:50:38 Great job. That's fun. That was a fun game. She's the one that suggested we bring that game back. She got eliminated first, but still. We should have given her a free pass at least a second round. We haven't played that game in a long time. Yeah, we've done in a minute.
Starting point is 00:50:49 Yeah. People will do all kinds of stuff to make their body look better. You can inject yourself with stuff. I mean, really, you can just try to eat healthier, get good sleep. So I try to do exercise. This one guy went in and gets like, I'm hurting. But he's been working so hard. My stomach's killing me.
Starting point is 00:51:07 Dr. Like, well, what's up? I'm trying to get jacked. Well, why does your stomach hurt? Well, I swallowed 39 coins and 37 magnets because he thought the zinc in it would help build his body. What? So he swallowed 39 coins and 37 magnets. Don't they have vitamins for that? And the reason he swallowed the magnets was to make sure the coin stayed in his gut
Starting point is 00:51:26 because he wanted to absorb the zinc from them. So doctors had to cut into him and get it. Oh, my goodness. Going to the intestines. He spent a week in the hospital. He's in good condition. But when you look at the x-ray, imagine the x-ray. Imagine the pelvis area of the x-ray.
Starting point is 00:51:40 It's just humongous blobs in its coins and magnets. It looks like an arcade game. That's ridiculous. But somebody had to plant that idea with it. him. Like one of his buddies is a joke or really dumb. You ever think about swall in a quarter? It's got a lot of zinc in it. Yeah. Here's Amy's pile of stories. All right. I got three things you should never do at work. Oh, I could think like nine right now. Uh-huh. And lunchbox does a couple. Go ahead. Okay, this is according to an HR professional. Don't overshare because oversharing too much
Starting point is 00:52:14 of your life with coworkers could cause issues and. Yeah, our whole show's oversharing. We get paid to overshare. And there's issues. Yeah, go ahead. Don't be humble. If you're too humble, you might get passed up for promotion or something like that. So this is a get ahead type thing, not get fired. If you're not advocating for yourself, nobody else is. That's true. There is a strategy to it.
Starting point is 00:52:37 Yeah. And you're never going to walk it properly because if you're very confident, people will go, well, he's just cocky. It makes them uncomfortable. But there is a line of cocky. Give us an example of how you would demonstrate this. Like if you were at dinner with our bosses or our bosses were, like in here, like the New York ones. The first thing I would do is brag on somebody else.
Starting point is 00:52:55 Oh, okay. Because it's disarming and it's not a me, me, me show. Like one of them, you'd compliment them or us? Oh, I'd compliment somebody else that I work with. I would say something like, you can use me as an example. I would say something about, let's use Mike D as an example. First of all, I wouldn't use anyone as example. It's Mike D, guys.
Starting point is 00:53:10 I would say, yeah, thank you for all the nice comments about the show. But it's all Mike D. If it wasn't for Mike D because he's the vertebrae of the show, like he did, you don't really see him. He doesn't get on the air a lot. But for me, like, he's predicting where I want to go. I couldn't do this without him. Like, he's so important. And I just want you guys to know that. So now they're already like, he's not on the hype train. He's not on the him hype train. And then I would say it's allowed, Mike, and also your leadership has allowed us to win in this way. And I could present data. And I'd be like, that's why we're just killing it. And that's what
Starting point is 00:53:41 makes me so good is my support. And because of that, I'm able to do this and do. So I've walked them into a whole brag session about me. Wow. And they, they've been built up. I've just built up somebody else and they're feeling empowered because I'm bragging about what they've allowed me to do. And so now they're like, heck yeah. Want another 50 mil? Time it. That's good, man. So that is how you'd not be humble if it in a dinner situation. Otherwise, if it's email, similar, you just need to present data and not opinions. But you can cherry pick data like crazy. Got it. I put a lot of time in. I do this. Go ahead. Don't stick around too long at parties because negative things. Don't go to parties. Be me. Just never go.
Starting point is 00:54:20 You know, if there's alcohol involved or just coworkers are in a different environment, it could lead to negative things. Or you just stay out of drama, period, even if it's fun to be in it. Because professionally, if your job is to move up professionally, stay out of drama where you're working. Because if you are consistent, emotionally, professionally, that is how you move up. Emotionally? Yeah. For sure. Because if it's like, if you're working with somebody and they have breakdowns and that's fine, but you almost can't trust them as much to be there when it's hard.
Starting point is 00:54:57 Consistency. If you can be good almost every day and occasionally great, that's the key to long-term success. So I should do the, yeah. Should do what? I should do a book on this. Oh, yeah. Because I'm not great at anything, but I'm very consistent and I'm pretty good at a lot of stuff that I work hard at. And if I can just be great occasionally.
Starting point is 00:55:15 And I'm never really bad. Sometimes that gets a little worse. But that's all. It's so hard to be consistent. And motivation comes and goes. Discipline is always there. If you're disciplined, sometimes you're not feeling good,
Starting point is 00:55:28 you still do it. Motivation, inspiration, that comes and goes. Except for if we're not feeling good, we're not supposed to come. No, sick is different. Six is different. Good point, Amy. Inspiration and motivation, come and go.
Starting point is 00:55:39 It's like the stock market. Discipline is always there. That is the absolute key. It's not pretty or fun or anything, but that's it. All right, I'm disciplined enough. now to move on. A new poll found that a third of us would leave our job if someone else is willing to pay us the same amount that we're making now. Like no raises required, which that means that a third of people just aren't really happy. They're dramatic. Where they are. Or their job is dramatic. Or we just have grasses green or complex, which we all do in different versions of our life where we think it's going to be better because we're not there and we have these unfair expectations that if this place is treating their people better, they're going to treat me better. two and it's not it. People working there
Starting point is 00:56:19 are the same way. It's like you marry somebody. Let's say I'm a lady and I say a dude. I'm like that dude. Him and his wife, I'd sure like to be with that dude. I bet he's awesome. Yeah, he's awesome from 10 feet away, but you marry and you see the same old crap every day. He's just going to be another dude you're annoyed with. Wait, wait, did you just say you're going to marry the dude? Yeah, because if I said hot chick, yeah, why would
Starting point is 00:56:37 be a hot chick? I just chose not that, because the thing is that hot chick to you is somebody, some woman that some dude's dealing with going, God, I wish I had that hot chick. Oh, yeah. I want to say that, and now I did, but I wanted to present it the other way. So this is all part of a survey that looked into what makes us feel valued at work,
Starting point is 00:56:55 and 81% of people say that they're more motivated when they feel appreciated. Yeah, I agree. And meaningful forms of appreciation at work include. I can tell you yours. Amy likes me just to send her an email, how you're doing a good job, this is what I liked. She just likes words. Words of affirmation. Yeah, or not an email, but that's how I do it some.
Starting point is 00:57:14 I don't do it all the time because I want her to feel like when I do do it, it means something. Right. And I also, shut your mouth. Eddie likes to be punished. No. Oh, sorry. I don't. What in the world?
Starting point is 00:57:24 I do feel like I've gotten even better at that expressing, hey, you did a really good job here. Just keep, continue doing this. Yeah, like eight months ago, you sent me a text or something. It was good. She remembers it. That's because he doesn't. I also remember one time in 2011. Oh, my.
Starting point is 00:57:43 Because that was in Walking Dead was big, right? Who knows? Because I think I was. I've done it more than. twice. I'm telling everybody. Oh yeah, you have. And there's also but these are ones I remember. Yeah. I get another email. She read all 2011. You did it one time 10 years ago. No, no. He did send an email in 2020
Starting point is 00:57:59 I had found. Like I remember and I tell Amy's like, hey, you're valuable that you can do, but you can actually do this. I believe that you can do this too. That to me those are also affirmations. It's not you did a good job in the past at this. It's I believe in you. I think you'll be great at this. Yes. Although she doesn't see it the same way. So I'll stop that. That's, stop. It's over. No more.
Starting point is 00:58:18 It's not true. Anyway, other ways you can show appreciation are one-on-one conversations with your boss, like giving them that time and awards like employee of the month. Hey, we do that all the time. That's a tough one, man. It's a little toxic here. It doesn't make us feel good. I've offered Ray like a promotion five times to just show how valued he is.
Starting point is 00:58:36 And every time I'm like, Ray, do you want a promotion? Nah, dog, I'm good. No, no, no, but you've worked so hard. Pimp, I'm good. That's because he's rich, man. I knew it. I guess. I've been like, Ray, you're killing it, you show up, you're just consistent as can be.
Starting point is 00:58:50 Would you like, nah, pimp, I'm good. Well, now that he moved into a house and he's a homeowner, as he changed his mind. What's the position? Knock scuba off? Well, if he died. Whoa, whoa, wow. But so with Ray, though, that was, to him, it wasn't an expression of how you're doing a good job. But it's like, with Ray, it's other things.
Starting point is 00:59:09 Like, when his car was all messed up, I was like, hey, why don't you tell me to buy you tires? Because I've been to such a good job. At least let me do something like that. So everybody has their own love language. Yeah. Or boss language. Eddie likes to be punished. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:59:22 I don't know why you keep saying that. What does Lunkbox like? Money. That's true. She does like money, though. That's what I like. All right. Is that it?
Starting point is 00:59:30 Well, just one final thing about George Strait, because I thought this is a little fun fact. The first band he was a part of, and the ironic part is it was called the Country Kings. They kicked him out because he wasn't country enough. Amen. And now he's the King of Country. I ain't country.
Starting point is 00:59:45 That's a classic. It's happening in every single generation. They always think people aren't country enough And turns out that is what country music evolves to Do you figure out the theme of the pile? No The pile was stories that I don't care about They were all work
Starting point is 00:59:58 I'm just kidding I did care They were all good. Even the George one. You know what, you did a good job I'll text you real quick, hold on Amy, good job Send Whatever I mean that's the pile
Starting point is 01:00:07 Yeah, it's all about what? Jobs. Yeah Wow wow wow I think for one on Steve Steve Jobs Never happened All right go ahead
Starting point is 01:00:14 That's it, that's a pile That was Amy's pile of story It's time for the good news. Oh, it's Bobby. Damn it's something good. In a word, just one word, generally your spring break in college was blank. Lunchbox. Party.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Eddie? Drunk. Amy? My birthday. Okay. Good. This one, surgery. Cherish, strunk.
Starting point is 01:00:39 Will we undergoing surgery to give her kidney to a total stranger? Oh. That is so cool. This is what Eddie wants to do. This is what I want to do, man. I've always wanted to do this. Through a friend's post on social media, she learned about Danny. a former coal miner who's been battling type-on diabetes since he was a kid.
Starting point is 01:00:52 He desperately needed a kidney. And so she was motivated her to reach out, DM'd him. Hey, what's up? Got tested. They matched. And that's what happened. During spring break, went and donated the kidney. Question.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Has Eddie gone to see if he's a match for Harold? No, no, no, no. He wants to go and see if he's a match. One day I do want to do that. Yeah. Yeah. But he's so busy, Amy, he can't. It's not even busy.
Starting point is 01:01:13 He just wants to do it. I want to do it, but, I mean, will I survive? Can they assure me? hear what they say? I don't think they can assure you if you're going in for a finger surgery that you're going to survive. Right. And that's risky. No. And that's risky. But the older you get probably the worst odds of surviving or having a healthy kidney or... Great point. The younger you do it, the better the kidney is. You know, a pamphlet they give you of like how to live better after you donated. You know, like... Well, he wants to read the pamphlet.
Starting point is 01:01:42 Yeah, I do. I want to. I always wanted to. Just like he wants to go and get tested and wants to donate a kidney. God, that'd be so cool, though, man. You know what any of the story's about you. Thank you, dude. It's not. A big shout of Cherish. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win.
Starting point is 01:01:57 A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
Starting point is 01:03:15 We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no.
Starting point is 01:03:40 I vowed, I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe. on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Ego Wadam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network.
Starting point is 01:04:09 It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place. they come look for up-and-coming talent.
Starting point is 01:04:27 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be.
Starting point is 01:04:57 Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Emerson from Florida left his voicemail. I have a morning corning for Amy. Why was dinner all so bad at Sucker? She kept running away from the ball. Have a good day, studio.
Starting point is 01:05:17 Say bye. Bye. Yeah. His timing was awful, but still, funny joke. He's also like, wharf. But thank you for calling. That's awesome. Call us anytime. 877, Bobby. Have you seen the TikToks where the parent takes their young, young kid into the bathroom? And it's recording. And they said the bathroom is the only place you can say bad words. And sometimes the kid doesn't even know. Oh my gosh. It's like this is your safe place. I'm going to walk out. You can say any bad word you want. And they're recording like the four, five, six year old. It's so funny. Because they go hard. What do they say? It's like an Andrew Dice, Clay, Chris Rock comedy special. Anything. Have you seen it more again? Yeah, I've seen it.
Starting point is 01:05:55 And it's funny to watch them too because they'll do it and they'll be like, like right after. It's almost like wholesome. It's just a sound coming out of your mouth, right? But they don't even know what it means. And they're like, oh, it's awesome. Not that that's what Emerson and Florida is doing.
Starting point is 01:06:10 Right, right, right. I feel like at what point do they learn like, oh, this is not, or do they carry that into their adult life? And they're like, oh, I got to go let some things out. And they go to the bathroom and they're just like, fudgecicle. That's not bad either. If you're saying fudgecicle in the bathroom. Oh, no, I mean, I was just saying that because we're on the
Starting point is 01:06:24 radio. No, but say the real one. Oh, no. All right, here we go. Let's go over to Amy and get in the morning corny. The morning corny. Why did the computer catch a cold? Why did the computer?
Starting point is 01:06:37 Got it. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Why the computer catch a cold? It left the window open. Better. Oh. That was the morning corny. Let's talk send me some pictures, and before he even put the story on it, I was like,
Starting point is 01:06:53 oh, where these pictures are. and it turns out it was his leg I was like how about that and there was some weird growth on the side of his leg I don't know what it is I wish I wouldn't have seen it but now he thinks he might be dying
Starting point is 01:07:04 which seems a bit dramatic but is it dramatic? I don't want to see it on the screen I can't see it I don't want to see it's gross can we see it in person you're going to see it and you're going to touch it go ahead listen it's been on my leg for a little over two weeks
Starting point is 01:07:17 I don't know what it is I just woke up and one day I rubbed my leg and I'm like what is that bump on the side of my leg. It feels like I have a marble sticking out the side of my leg. Is it poppable or is it hard? It's kind of hard. And I was like, oh, you know, it'll go away after a day or two. And here we are over two weeks later. And you can see it. Like, it is visible. It is a bump. Like, sometimes like if you wear pants,
Starting point is 01:07:41 you can see the bump. Out of the pants. That's like my tailbone. But we're not talking about the- Dang, Amy's trying to steal your thunder. Yeah, Amy, it's not about you right now. We know you're- Amy's not dying. Amy, you want to see it here, Amy. I want to see it. You touch her tailbone, you touch us like. What? Don't touch her tailbone, dude. Amy, look at this thing.
Starting point is 01:07:59 Lift it up. Do you have to take your pants off? Thank God, no. It's low enough. Feel that sucker. Don't touch it. Why are you touching it? Amy?
Starting point is 01:08:07 There's no pus on it. There's nothing? You sure? Weird or what? I don't think so. Yeah, there's something in there. Like, what is. Did you hurt yourself?
Starting point is 01:08:13 Is this a tumor? It's not a tumor. That's not a tumor. That's not what I thought. Hey, sit down. Now you know that's going to freak him out. Can I see it? Can I see that much?
Starting point is 01:08:22 No, no. Like, I started Googling and I started wearing it, it's the C. But they can be benign. What's the C? The C's cancer. Benign. But by him saying the C, it's even more, because then we have to figure out what the C is. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Yeah. I knew a guy that had something like that. Push it. No. No, push it. I don't want to pop it. That's the thing. Push it.
Starting point is 01:08:43 Push it. Push it. Push it. Push it. Push it real good. Yeah. I think I know what that is. I think it's a fatty pocket.
Starting point is 01:08:51 A fatty pocket full of fat? I remember I worked with a guy and he had him all over his arms And he'd be like, look, man And then he can touch him and move him That's exactly what they felt like that That one's not moving. You can move it a little bit Move it, try to move it down to my end
Starting point is 01:09:03 Try it just. No, no, that's a move like that. Put it in a swine. That's weird, dude. Guys, I think it's benign. But you're just thinking. You don't even know it's the sea. What is it?
Starting point is 01:09:12 Stop saying the sea, guys. Just say cancer. It's like, how did the, I mean, I don't want C on my leg. Okay. Well, it means it's a tumor. it's a growth, but it's not cancerous. Like, he's not going to die from it.
Starting point is 01:09:22 But how do you know it's benign to by looking at it? Right. Like, how does it grow all of a sudden? I'm speaking that into the universe. Hey, when they do those mammograms, don't they look for those bumps? Yes. Yeah, so that's what a cyst. Like, sometimes it can be a cyst.
Starting point is 01:09:35 But like, how does this just all of a sudden grow? Like, seriously, that's what it is. I had to get a cyst cut off my thumb. And it just... You're going to cut my leg off? No, cut off. They won't cut your whole leg off, just from the knee down. So, but they cut the cyst off.
Starting point is 01:09:49 and it just kind of grew one day but mine wasn't near as gross as that. Oh, it's a ganglion cyst. What is that? If we have any, this is what we should do. We can even FaceTime with the doctor. I mean, I gotta touch it, I bet. Yep.
Starting point is 01:10:03 We don't need to talk to a doctor. It's a ganglion cyst. I feel like you're being dramatic. You should touch it. I touch it. Tell me if I'm being dramatic. Yeah, and then lick it. Spin the wheel.
Starting point is 01:10:12 Touch it. You may have a little bug under there. Maybe something burrow it under your skin. A burrowing like. Am I being dramatic though? It sticks out. I mean, it also kind of just, you know, maybe old age, like your veins. Yeah. Let's get a doctor.
Starting point is 01:10:28 Let's see if we can get a doctor to call in or if one's close scuba, Steve, you'll just watch the phones. We can do, obviously they can't get the next 15 minutes, but even all next hour, if we can get a doctor to come up or if we could get somebody on FaceTime. I was thinking Dr. Pimple Popper would be good for this. Doesn't she deal with those a lot? But we have to, I want to get people that can drive. Okay.
Starting point is 01:10:48 When Amy ripped her ear, we had a doctor come up here. I think he just wants some attention. I have an idea. What? We should call the ambulance. Roll a truck. Roll a truck over here and then they like pick them up and we're like, guys, we don't know what it is. Then you have to pay for that.
Starting point is 01:11:00 Right. It's going to be expensive, but it would be good radio. It's a work deal. I'm not paying for it, though. You can pay for it and write it off. If you want to call now and I want to be like, my legs are going. It's growing. Do it.
Starting point is 01:11:10 No, guys. It's been two and a half weeks. I didn't want to say anything. And I was like, okay, it'll just go away. I'll just go away. And it's just there. If we have any doctors that can come by the studio I'm gonna start buying new jeans because it can't fit over the bump
Starting point is 01:11:22 What size of you sir? Well 32 waist 33 length except for one leg I need a little little flared I have a bump No we're not laughing because if you're dying Yeah it's not fun now that'd be terrible We'll delete this from the podcast
Starting point is 01:11:37 Yes It's live still now but we'll delete it from the podcast But how crazy is that? Isn't that a big bump? Yes It's not normal I'll say that We'll have people We'll have somebody try to come up okay
Starting point is 01:11:47 Yeah, put these on, I mean, but I don't need just like a doctor, like an honorary doctor. I need a real doctor. Right. I'm an honorary doctor and it's beyond my pay grade. Like, I'm not talking like a chiropractor. Like, they're a doctor, right? I don't need that. I need like, you keep saying what you don't need.
Starting point is 01:12:00 We don't have anybody yet. So let's just see. Let's just see what happens. I need like someone that knows like the C. What? Cancer. Like an oncologist? You want an oncologist to come up here?
Starting point is 01:12:12 Well, someone that, if they'll know if they'll know if it's. We'll see it and go up. Maybe I don't know what that is. I can recommend you. to a oncologist, but I don't think you should just think it's cancer immediately. So you want a proctologist. Well, Google makes you think it is. Hey, we can have to me to check it out through that.
Starting point is 01:12:26 Yes. What if we just poke it with a needle? Yeah. See what happens? Would you do that? Would you let's poke it with a needle? See if anything comes out of it? If a doctor says that's what we need to do. We got one on the phone. Hello. It's me. I'll give it the needle. You guys, you guys. Dr. John. I didn't laugh when Amy and ripped her ear.
Starting point is 01:12:43 Guys. Yeah, you did. A lot. This is C. Okay, we're coming back. If we have a doctor that can call in, That would be awesome, and they come up here. Hey, put the pictures up, Morgan. I need people to see it online. Don't be so demanding toward her. I mean, well, I'm saying maybe a doctor.
Starting point is 01:12:55 Morgan, if you wouldn't mind, would you want to throw up? Yeah, Bobby, I'll totally do that for you. See, lunch, that's how you ask. Thank you. Hope you guys had a good weekend. A pretty eventful weekend around here. Let's start with Amy because they had the awards banquet show for that award that she was nominated for, which I couldn't have been happy year that you were nominated.
Starting point is 01:13:16 So regardless of what happened, what happens, I thought it was super cool for you to be recognized as an individual because you deserve it. Thank you. And I hoped that going into it, you felt that way. It didn't matter what happened. Yeah, especially knowing the others that were nominated, I felt really honored to be in that list. And so it was a category for like national weekly show, like something that there's like a countdown, like a specialty show. And nominated for I heart country women was Amy. And our friend B-Dove was nominated.
Starting point is 01:13:48 He's awesome. I think Kicks from Brooks and Dunn for the countdown. He's nominated. Did you guys see who won? Yeah. No. Lunchbox. Who do you, so who do you think won, lunchbox?
Starting point is 01:13:59 Well, just off name alone, if you had that Kix guy. And Kicks wins a lot and Kix is awesome. All the time. Kicks did not win. Oh, then I have no. Then it's just like throwing poop against the wall and picking one. It is not. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 01:14:13 And a big shout out to B-dub, a friend of ours, did not win. The winner is Amy. She won the award. Show him the trophy. Show him the trophy. So which B. Dub came up to me afterwards and he was like, I did not want to lose, but if I have to lose, I don't mind losing to you. Look at this. There it is.
Starting point is 01:14:27 There's a trophy right there. Wow, Amy. Come on. And the thing is, it's glass. So I worry about it a little bit because this. No, I don't. You broke to see him, but don't worry about it. Well, actually, one of them was not my fault was Scuba Steve's.
Starting point is 01:14:41 But I was, it was really cool feeling. So I'm just thankful for, you know, women of IHeart country even. I mean, that's something what you put together. Five years ago? Six years ago. And so it's just been, you know, growing since. But so many women in radio from IHeart across the country contribute to that show. So I feel like it's everybody's award.
Starting point is 01:15:04 That's the humblest thing you could say. It's you. No, it's you. It's you. Really, congratulations. I'm so proud of you and for you. And those are two different feelings and you deserve it. And I love it.
Starting point is 01:15:14 And when I'm out of here, you have an award, you can say. I won this award. Give me the show. It's like succession. You guys start battling now for who gets the show. So, yeah, Amy won the award. I was watching the, and Amy didn't put it up on hers at first.
Starting point is 01:15:29 She only put like the, and here are the nominees. She didn't put it. And I was like, well, I guess she didn't win because she didn't show it. And I go to Abby's and Abby's shows the winner, Amy Brown. It was like, yeah. It's awesome. Awesome. Yeah, so did the guys, did Eddie and Lunchfucks?
Starting point is 01:15:41 Did they end up voting for me? Because it's an industry voted thing. I did vote for you. Okay. Eddie? I don't remember if I voted for you. Lunchbox? No, I don't even know how to vote, Amy.
Starting point is 01:15:52 I wouldn't have voted for you. How do you feel about her being the big award getter here? I mean, what can I say? She got lucky. Are you proud for her? Sure. No, I'm serious. Like, this is somebody that you have sat beside for...
Starting point is 01:16:06 18 years. 18 years. Yeah, it's pretty crazy. I mean... He doesn't sound very believable. I'm pretty happy for, pretty excited. Tell her you're proud of her. Amy, I'm so proud of you.
Starting point is 01:16:18 Woohoo! You deserve it. Sounds super genuine. No, I mean, every time I've listened that show, that show is awesome. How many times have you listened? Zero. Oh. Yeah, okay.
Starting point is 01:16:28 Like, I've heard it recorded a couple times. Like in the room when she's like recording parts of it. Yeah. Okay, well, I'm extremely excited for you. Yeah, and Lauren on the show, like she helps work on the script. So I feel like this is for her too. Oh, so you give her the award? There's so many people.
Starting point is 01:16:44 Only one trophy. Amy keeps most of it. Everybody gets to touch it. All right. Well, just so you know lunchbox, if you're nominated for something and it's an industry voted thing, I will be voting for you. Yeah, well, thank you. I would vote for you, but I mean, I didn't even know how to vote.
Starting point is 01:16:56 I thought he said he voted for that other lady. I said I was going to vote for that girl, but I didn't know how to vote. Like, I don't even know what this is, this award. It's not like a CMA or an ACM. The Bobby Bone Show has won it before. Yes, like seven times. And he's been there. Yes, you've been a part of it.
Starting point is 01:17:11 Oh, yeah. But so really, I mean, Bobby put it together, so it's really Bobby's award? Amy hosts the show. It's a hosting award. Okay. It was more so that Bobby wanted to come alongside in Champion. He wanted, like, a lot of artists, they need someone in their corner, and Bobby was there like, hey, we're not doing anything like this and we should be. So he's the one that, you know, put it into creation and launched it. I might cancel it now, though. That'll be won an award.
Starting point is 01:17:36 Yeah, I mean, while you're on top. Yeah, it's like, it's in my contract. Like, I own an hour of national programming, and I decided to. to do the women of iHeart country show and so now that we hit it i'll just cancel it let's just do dudes of i heart there we go hey let's do it all right it's all right we host it it's all michael ray all day that we call it isn't that already like country yeah yeah it is you're right good point that's the radio i'm proud of you i'm proud of you for you so did you did you get three awards like one to give to lorne one to get to pits like
Starting point is 01:18:01 one to get to me for the support oh yeah pits yeah not a woman but definitely helps produce it but do you get i'm serious do you know it's a hosting award i don't know i just said It's a hosting award. Do they host it? Do I host it? No, I don't deserve the award. It's like when someone wins a Grammy for vocalist. The writers don't get an award for that one.
Starting point is 01:18:20 The producer doesn't get an award for that. Yeah, no, it's the vocalist. I mean, and you are executive producer. Yeah, you know, it doesn't matter. It's not about me. I'm just checking. Hey, Amy, I'm super proud of y'all. I mean, I'm going to get you a bouquet of flowers.
Starting point is 01:18:33 Isn't that what they do when they are excited? Have you heard of anyone be angrier? No. What did I just say? Okay, well, that's all. We want to reflect on. That's lunchbox, lonely clap. There he is.
Starting point is 01:18:43 I'm the only one clapping for you, Amy. Thanks. All right, let's get off this. Let's get off this. We do have told me something good coming up in a second. I do want to talk about Ray Mundo. He did go to Sam Hunt. He did, let me give you a little teaser.
Starting point is 01:18:55 He did get to hang out with Sam Hunt. Okay. See, now this is far. That's what he wanted. Yeah. That's what he wanted. This is far more interesting. We will get to that.
Starting point is 01:19:03 And I spent the first couple nights on my CPAP sleep machine, that thing into my face. Yes. Which is odd. but I can give you guys a little update on that as well. So that and the news all coming up. So everybody, hope you had a great weekend. It's now time for the news.
Starting point is 01:19:19 Bobby's Big. Stories. From the Journal of Aging and Health, the biggest health benefit from having a pet is that it keeps us young. Research reveals that pet ownership can reduce brain age by up to 15 years. They also tend to make us more active
Starting point is 01:19:34 when it comes to exercise every day. Moving our bodies, going on walks. They should put parentheses unless you have a bulldog. that doesn't walk. I couldn't get Eller, our half hound, to come in the house at all the other night because she had tracked an animal in her backyard. We have woods. She tracked an animal, completely dark. I go back in the woods to find her.
Starting point is 01:19:55 She's pointing, we had bird dogs growing up, but she's pointing almost like a bird dog. Because we would go quill hunting and if you've never seen a bird dog, if you've never seen a bird dog work. Yeah, I think. Okay. Well, you would know, especially pointing. they walk, they walk, and as soon as they see it, their head points and they're right at it, and they don't move.
Starting point is 01:20:13 Our dogs would stay still for 30 minutes if they need it. And so when it's pointing, everybody gets ready because they know. She was almost pointing, which was why. But I couldn't find what it was, and finally I had to walk through the woods in shorts and put her, and leash her and walk her back inside
Starting point is 01:20:30 because she was going so hound on this thing. That's awesome. It's crazy that she sniffs it and sense it, that her genetics are, and sometimes she'll kill it at an animal won't bring it to the house. Yeah, good. Dinner. No. Present. Yeah. It feels like she thinks she went and got us a gift. And she's like, why are you not proud of me right now? So she's hard to walk because she's so hound. And if she smells an animal, she wants to go track it. And Stanley, the Bulldog does not want to walk at all and gets a little upset with you do.
Starting point is 01:20:53 He doesn't point. Nope. I know, he lays. I don't think he probably smell that good. He blobs. His face is extremely flat. Yeah. Yeah. So. Smell that well. But animals are awesome. Bradley Cooper likes to bear it all at home from Entertainment Weekly. What does that mean? He gets home and he just is naked. Oh, okay. When I lived alone, I would get home and immediately I would just take all my clothes off except for my underwear. Okay.
Starting point is 01:21:17 That makes more sense. But are the curtains open or clothes? It's not even about the curtains. So he went on Dax Shepard's podcast and they were talking about being naked at home. And so he's like, he wakes up completely butt naked, goes to the bathroom, doesn't even post clothes on. There are a lot of just like stays naked for a long time. That's so weird. there are certain guys that I've known
Starting point is 01:21:38 that when they go to the bathroom if they go to do number two, even at work, they get completely naked. At work. I saw a guy once do that. I wonder what that is about. Maybe cleanliness.
Starting point is 01:21:52 Like it's like, I don't want to poop in my clothes. I don't know. Yeah, I don't know. That's bizarre. And there was another guy who went and to stand up at the urinal, he would take his pants all the way off.
Starting point is 01:22:01 I've seen that one more. You walk in, it's just butt cheeks. That'll give you a double take for sure. Yeah, it's like you're going to do that going to stall, though. I don't need, it's just, my cheek to urinals. Timothy Chamalay, that's how he says his name, right. Shalameh.
Starting point is 01:22:14 Chamalay. What is it? Timothy Shalame. Shalome. I know one from Wonka. Yeah, and he also had Dunn. I didn't see Wonka, but yeah. Did you watch Do you watch Doon too?
Starting point is 01:22:23 Yeah. Did you like it? It's good. It's not for me. It's kind of boring. I saw it yesterday. Was Dune won with Charlie Sterron? You're thinking of Mad Max.
Starting point is 01:22:33 That's what I'm thinking of. Yeah, that's not it. What was Dune? I don't even see Dune one. There's also Timothy Shalema, but there's also one way back in the day in like the 80s. And I didn't see them. Timothy Shalame says DiCaprio gave him two pieces of advice. Because DiCaprio was the young heartthrob.
Starting point is 01:22:46 No hard drugs and no superhero movies. Oh, like don't, because then you get categorized as a superhero. Yes, probably. Or they take you less serious. Yeah. My advice would be all superhero movies and no soft drugs. Man, he might have a point on this because in Dune, too, like it's all the dudes from the Avengers and like Guardians of the Galaxy.
Starting point is 01:23:07 Like a lot of the same actors are in there playing weird dudes. But is Dune a superhero movie? No, not at all. Okay. Sci-fi. But Nettie's saying they're weird. They're almost just pinned to that kind of character now. Like you're a weird dude. You know what? Call me Erkel. Give me a great role and let me be it. And if I have to live it, that's okay.
Starting point is 01:23:23 That's true. I can watch Thor play any role. That's because he's hot. You know who was good in Dune? Amy's like, I can watch Thor. Sit at his house and eat potato chips. What? Austin. in Dune 2, and he's... Dude, he's awesome.
Starting point is 01:23:38 He saw it yesterday. I didn't hear you say that. I was too focused on Mike's answer to that. Austin Butler, for the first time, was not Elvis. He was in Fly Boys. Yeah, but even then he's like, let's get this point in on the... He's in Master's of the Air. All right, let's get the Playin'Ombuds of the Air.
Starting point is 01:23:53 We got this, baby. Let's go. Do you like Masters of the Air? I love Masters of the Air. We call it just Fly Boys for short. We watched and finished Mr. and Mrs. Smith. Oh, that's good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:03 Okay, so is that worth watching? I liked it. It has Donald Glover in it. And originally the actor was the Phoebe, whomever, and they changed it out, right? Phoebe Waller Bridge. Yeah. And now it's a different woman. But the original movie, though, was Angelina Jolian Brad Pitt, Mr. Smith.
Starting point is 01:24:20 And now it's a slightly different story, but the same. And we watched the whole thing over like the last week or so. It's only eight episodes. No. Or six episodes, something like that. It's like eight. It's good. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:24:29 Yeah, it's good. It's on Amazon. But yeah, that's the Timothy Shalomey. Is he A-list, Mike? I think now he is. After Awanga and Dune 2, I think he's right there. And he is or was dating one of the Kardashian sisters. He was.
Starting point is 01:24:43 So that helps. It maybe still is. Kyle, yeah. Jenner, got it. Yeah. She's Jenner. Another influencer sells jars of past gas for big bucks. I don't understand this.
Starting point is 01:24:54 Does that still smell? No. Like if you open it? I would think yes. What? Because imagine you seal anything and you open it, the smell is still there. Oh. But you have to capture it.
Starting point is 01:25:03 Because it's a gas, Amy. Her name is Kiara Kitty at Kiara Kitty. So she's selling her own personal gas online for $300. She says it can be retained for up to 30 days. She's already sold out. Oh. You know what? Every single person that orders it should be investigated.
Starting point is 01:25:23 Yeah. If you order her farts. Check their phones. There's other stuff that you're doing. Like this is probably the tip of it. Like you're automatically on a list. Yeah, you're the watch list. Yes.
Starting point is 01:25:34 You are on the creepo watch list. You're not going to jail for just ordering a fart, but we're going to make sure, and we're going to see what else you've been ordering and you're up to. What kind of weirdo? Oh, and it sounds like you got 30 days to smell it. She said. Money back guarantee.
Starting point is 01:25:50 So America's favorite snack. Chips. Let's go specific brand, like specific brand items. For example, if I were to say, Chex Mix, it made the top 10. Actually, it's a favorite in Montana, North Dakota, and Hawaii. Okay. What do you think number one is?
Starting point is 01:26:07 Number two, number three. Just throw some answers up there. Doritos. Doritos makes the list. It comes in at number two. Lunchbox, any guess there? Goldfish. I don't know,
Starting point is 01:26:15 but I do know people that eat a ton of goldfish. Yeah, they're disgusting. I don't really like the super cheesy, cheesy chip anyway. So I'm going to. Ooh, cheese it's. Again, same thing to me. Yeah, same deal. No, it didn't make the list, but Cheetos made it.
Starting point is 01:26:30 Okay. I don't mind Cheetos. I like Cheetos. Cheetos are great. Yeah. Cheetos at three. Doritos at number two. and Doritos was the number one, but the number one, it's sweet.
Starting point is 01:26:37 It's the favorite in 18 states now. Oh, sweet. Smittles. Oh, M&Ms. Oh, M&Ms are awesome. Yeah. I like Skittles. I like Eminemes, but it's not yet.
Starting point is 01:26:47 What is sweet? A lot of things. Like it, so it's a candy. Nope. Cookie. It's kind of a candy. You can go to the gas station and get it in a package. You can make it at home.
Starting point is 01:26:57 Cettle corn? And it involves marshmallow. Smoors. Rice Kris Krispie treats. Oh, yeah. Well, you're way off. Dude, number once. Y'all got a smore at a gas station.
Starting point is 01:27:06 No, never in my life. Okay. A driver misses a deer, goes off a cliff, flies out of a sunroof and lives. Wow. So I take it it wasn't buckled. From San Francisco Gate.
Starting point is 01:27:20 If you live, listen, if you live in a rural area, like I did, people were hitting deer. I mean, Arkansas Keith had a cow once. Oh, dude, that's terrible. Totally. Totally wrecked his truck. It's over. It's total.
Starting point is 01:27:29 A cow. That's like hitting a wall. Yeah. And so this one person was driving. the California Highway Patrol page said that a man was at work going through Big Sur on Sunday. He disappeared. Family called so we can't find him. They sent a CHP airplane.
Starting point is 01:27:47 They started circling around. They found a crumpled car 400 feet down the side of a cliff. And a guy frantically waving what he had made into a makeshift flag from stuff from his car. The night before he swerved to avoid hitting a group of deer. And then right off the side of the side. of a cliff and it ejected him through the sunroof. It doesn't say anything about a seatbelt, but I can't imagine that if it was on, he would have been ejected, unless there's like an eject button in some of these new age cards.
Starting point is 01:28:16 Or the whole seat went. Yeah, like, you pull the lever. This is a movie, right? That's very lucky. Like, you got to make a movie about this. Yeah, but then you do something at the end, like he was raised by the deer. Sure. And then he...
Starting point is 01:28:26 Of course. You can make it Hollywood a little bit. Yes. And then he fights Lyme disease, which is a big killer. Yes. And like he... From a tick that was there in the woods. Right. No, on a deer. On the deer that he missed.
Starting point is 01:28:35 Maybe the deer bit him and then they used his blood as... Or Lyme does he give him a superpower. To heal people. We're moving on. Country superstar travels to Nashville International Airport. This was cool. Although he didn't want you travel. I mean, he drove down the road.
Starting point is 01:28:50 But yeah, Keith Urban was playing the small Nashville stage that people play whenever you're walking out of the airport. Imagine that. You're going to the airport. You're leaving the airport. And Keith Urban's playing. Ray, do we have a clip of this? Yep. Here we go.
Starting point is 01:29:02 I saw a clip of this lady on her phone. phone going, calling her husband saying he's at C-12. You have to come to the gate now. Yes, the real Keith Urban's playing a show. Hilarious. That's awesome. He has a new song that's out. He was on our show. A Taste of Country with that story. Study link sleep apnea to issues to memory and thinking problems. So if you have sleep apnea, which I can tell you about mine coming out, because I spent the first few days on my machine over Friday, Saturday, Sunday night. The CPAP. Yeah, I got a lot of questions. Okay, but as much as you remember and how good you are, like, reading things and retaining things,
Starting point is 01:29:42 Can you imagine now that you have this machine, I mean, you're a genius. But I haven't told you if it's affected me in good or bad ways yet. Oh. Well. We're assuming, Amy. Don't assume. You know what that makes? Uh, yeah. Out of you and me. That's right.
Starting point is 01:29:57 So, yeah, suffers of sleep apnea may be more likely to experience memory or thinking problems. While the study found that participants with sleep apnea have higher odds of memory or thinking problems, it did not determine whether the disorder causes cognitive decline long term, which I hope not. So a lot of it is breathing interruptions during sleep. That's what happened to me. They said I'd stop breathing like 30 times an hour. Lowering blood oxygen levels. And mine got to like 91, 92, 93% at times instead of 9900.
Starting point is 01:30:25 Symptoms include snoring, gasping, and breathing problems. I would wake up gasping. Anytime I wake up like that. I just thought I was excited for the day. Like, whoo! No. Turns out I wasn't breathing. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:30:37 So I'll talk about that in a minute. A Michigan man went $110,000. the lottery prize for the second time in six months. Lunchbox, how do you think somebody does this? Second time in six months? I don't even understand. Like, that is something about the lottery gods looking at them going, look, even after six months, they deserve another one.
Starting point is 01:30:55 I don't know. It's unexplainable because I do all these things, and I don't even hit one of them. So if the lottery gods are true, which you think they are, I tend to not think that. Then they don't believe you deserve it. Or they don't think I deserve it yet. Maybe they're waiting.
Starting point is 01:31:13 Maybe they're like, they're testing you, you know, sort of like I was going to try to do a biblical reference, but I don't know it. Any of the biblical references. Well, you can just do blind belief. You could do Abraham when they're like, hey, Abraham, you need to travel over and just trust blind faith. And so maybe you need to, you know. You need to kill a son. Or you could do Job. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:31:31 There's a lot of biblical reference. I just don't think you knew one. No, I didn't. I just froze up. Oh, I thought he was trying to chase one that he couldn't get off the tip of his tongue. No, I just didn't know any of them. Why biblical reference, though? I think he's just trying to do Jesus so he can win.
Starting point is 01:31:44 Yes. The more he talks about Jesus, the more he thinks the lottery gods will give him a prize. Has he gone to church yet? Okay. Hey, Eddie, I've got to find the right church. Got to find that right sermon. Yeah, no, I get that. But you're not going to know the sermon until you're in there.
Starting point is 01:31:57 Yeah, you're right. But I look at the church and I'm like, ah, that one probably doesn't have a good sermon. This 59-year-old guy said he bought a ticket on February 11th, and he previously won $110,000, and then he wins another. $110,000 with the five numbers. That's amazing. Pretty awesome. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 01:32:14 That's your news. Thank you. Bodies. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'll say it. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,

There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl.
Starting point is 01:33:32 You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. In this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 01:33:54 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe.
Starting point is 01:34:12 On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever. you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ago Wodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo. Woo.
Starting point is 01:34:35 My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come. Look for up and coming town. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:34:55 He goes, but there's so much luck involved. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in luck.
Starting point is 01:35:22 Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Coming up in about 15 minutes, Daytona 500 champion, William Byron will talk with him. He's still in college. He's young. He's killing it. It's crazy. I do want to go talk to Ray Mundo because Ray was like, I want to go see Sam Hunt. And he kept waiting for Sam to invite him to his show.
Starting point is 01:35:43 And he did, but I thought that was weird because Sam wasn't going to just reach out and be like, hey, buddy, come to the show. I don't think he has your cell phone number. Does he, Ray? No, he definitely doesn't. Yeah. So I called and said, hey, can Ray come and can Ray meet Sam and can Ray get tickets? Very last minute. I'm very grateful to the people that helped us do this.
Starting point is 01:35:59 And so how did it go? You did go to the show, right? Yeah, you hit me up earlier and you said, hey, man, I think tickets are going to be a go. And then so it was kind of confusing if they're going to have two or one, but I was able to lock it down. No, it's always two. It's never one. I don't know. I got a phone call around 2 p.m.
Starting point is 01:36:14 And they go, okay, so you need one or two? And I go, well, I mean, gosh, please two. I mean, I'm going to go solo. Hey, Sam, I was standing outside by myself. You're acting like, that's creepy. No, okay, go ahead. So, yeah, so we ended up getting to the venue. There was a little bit of walking around Will Call.
Starting point is 01:36:27 We had tickets, but to go see Sam beforehand, you need alternate stuff. You need a wristband. You need a sticker. And so we were at Will Call, and then I get a call, and they go, hey, you're not going to go to Will Call. And I said, okay, well, I've been at Will Call for 20 minutes. They said, go find these red doors outside of Bridgestone. And so we went and found the red doors. And so it's a scavenger hunt now?
Starting point is 01:36:46 Yeah, kind of. And so it's me and Beezer, and then it's just the waiting game. Sometimes is the artist too busy? have time to stop down. He had a lot of family in town. He had a 15 to 20 people he was related to. So that's going through my head. Hey, maybe I'm not going to get this picture, you know. It's a local show, though. I mean, it's a home show. So there's a lot of people that live here that want to go see Sam, including you. Right. So, okay, so you wait for how long? It was probably 20, 20 minutes. They had drinks and stuff. And Brett Young comes down. They go,
Starting point is 01:37:14 hey, you want your picture with Brett Young? I mean, not really. I will. I will. I was kind of waiting for Sam Hunt. Okay. Okay. Did you get one? with Brett Young? Yeah, I got one, but I delete it. I don't have anymore. All right. No, you didn't. I don't need it. You just could have to delete that. Okay. Why even say anything? Yeah, why haven't bring that up? Okay. So are you thinking, well, what's your, at this point, what do you think's going to happen? I'm honestly a little bit worried. I don't know if Sam's be able to make it because it was a side room where he was meeting with his family. I didn't know, well, maybe he's going to eat before the show and they're not doing photos. Because this wasn't
Starting point is 01:37:42 even, this wasn't even people that had paid for it. It was kind of just if he has time, he'll come swing by, say hi. So we're sitting there 20, 25, 30 minutes. And then boom. In walks Sam Hunt. What was he wearing? He had flannel shirt on. It was definitely a country look. Dockers, I want to say, tight dockers and cowboy boots. And then almost tight.
Starting point is 01:38:04 And then almost like a hunting coat. Because it was a little bit colder, I guess, because we're underneath the ice at Bridgetown. No, stop. So did he know that you were going absolutely berserk about him leading up to the show? Or were you just another guy? No, he'd been tipped off because he walked in the door. And I told Bayer, I said,
Starting point is 01:38:21 we cannot be right at the door. Let's try and be cool somewhat. So he stood back about 15 feet. He comes in and one of the first things he says is, Ray! So I go, man, you got great people because they straight up fed you my name. Let's go! Or he knew you.
Starting point is 01:38:36 He was waiting for that moment. Yeah, you're on his watch list. Yeah. Okay, go ahead. Well, then there was a couple other radio people that kind of actually moved in for a picture beforehand, which was fine. And then I finally got my picture. I was telling Sam, I go, hey, dude, I posted this thing today earlier as a carousel
Starting point is 01:38:50 montage thing of every picture I've got with you over the years. And I said, dude, I have to get this 2024, baby. Let's get this pick. And so then we got it. We got the pick. We got the pick. And your dream was to do a shot with them. Right. So, I mean, there's no shot. It's the picture. Beazer's there. And I always told her, I said, hey, make sure you're good with the camera. That's for the picture. Make sure you're good with the recording device. That's for the video. We need both those for socials. So she got the picture. She did great. And then it was, It was kind of done. Sam was just meandering around.
Starting point is 01:39:19 And I'm sitting there thinking, man, we're probably not going to do this shot. And then a dude comes up, I guess it was his agent, his manager or somebody comes up in a suit coat, opens up the inside of it and says, are we going to do some shots or what? Dude, he had a straight up sleeve of fireball shots and he snuck into the arena. Wow, wow. And so, wait a end up to sneak him. You have a writer. If you're an artist, you have that stuff in there already.
Starting point is 01:39:44 Sneak in there. Do you have video of this or anything? Yeah, I got the audio, if you want. want it. Yeah, play it. All right, Bayes was doing play-by-play. We did the best we could. Yeah. Yeah, get it. Sam. Shot, shot, shot, shot, shot. So yeah, me, me, Sam. Maybe the worst play-by-play ever. Well, I mean, it was loud. You could see it, though. She wasn't doing it for radio. What did he do? Do you throw the
Starting point is 01:40:11 shot glass or something? Yeah, yeah. After I shot it, I threw it down to the ground, be that was me, his agent and him, special moment. Nobody can take it away from us. We did shots, baby. So what was, when Bay is, I appreciated her play-by-play because she's like, okay, yeah, there we go. Like what was happening at that moment? Yeah, he threw it down. Yeah, I didn't even, I did no hands with the shot and then I spit it out onto the ground. Probably shouldn't have done that. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:33 Did you dress in a way that you thought Sam would like? Oh yeah. I mean, I, you'll be able to see in the picture. I mean, we kind of look similar. So you dressed like Sam. So when Sam came out, he would like you more because you have the same style sensibilities. Yeah, yeah. I had kind of a flannelish shirt on
Starting point is 01:40:51 and then I had a hat that he would typically wear, kind of a hunting look hat. Yeah. And how was the show? It was awesome. Ended up. I'm always with the ALE that always leave early theory. So I missed my second to favorite song just because we had to beat Travick. He didn't play Ecstasy till the very end. So missed that one. So your favorite artist of all time you, that's the one artist you stay for, I think. Right. But I mean, not you.
Starting point is 01:41:14 You want to beat 30,000 vehicles trying to leave that place? Well, it's downtown. Yeah, most of them are going to Broadway, man. Yeah. But again, it's your favorite artist. It is. I would say it's the one time you stay. Yeah. I heard 15 others. I miss body like a backroad in ecstasy, but...
Starting point is 01:41:28 Oh, those are good, man. Well, he saves the best for less. I've never known Ray to stay the entire time to anything. Even AL lead your wedding. True. Had to beat the traffic. Yeah. Why?
Starting point is 01:41:40 I didn't know that. They were probably 50 people. He wasn't there to greet us when we walked to the car. No, he's gone. Well, Ray, I'm glad I can make the happen for you. Yeah, appreciate it. Really great job here. You work really hard.
Starting point is 01:41:50 And I did not get a message that Ray was over the top. and was scary. So that's a win. That's good. So, okay. Was Ray bought Dockers since then? No, but, hey, those dockers look real good in boots, boys, if y'all are thinking about it. By buying in his cart or got him.
Starting point is 01:42:09 Right, right, right. This story comes up to show. This story comes us from North Carolina. A 42-year-old man had a few drinks at his house and joined himself. He's like, you know what? I'm kind of mad the police arrested me a couple months ago. A couple months ago. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:28 I need to go tell him that they shouldn't arrest him. Okay. So he drove up to the police station. Sounds like he'd been drinking though. He'd been drinking. He started arguing with police, you shouldn't have arrested me. So they arrested him for DUI.
Starting point is 01:42:40 Wow. Sometimes when you drink, man, the past comes back and you just start thinking about it. You can't let it go, I guess. I hear you make bad decisions. That too. I tend to make them without drinking, but I hear they could be worse if I drank. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:42:52 All right, there you go. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. I'd like to compliment a couple members of this show because there was a event last week called CRS in town where people from all over the country come in. And Mike D was asked to go speak on podcasting. Mike D. is part of the Nashville podcast network. He produces a bunch of shows. He's really been an integral part of building that out.
Starting point is 01:43:13 And so he goes to speak on it and that in a second. But two of the show members went to watch Mike D speak just out of support. Who was that? Mike, who'd you look into the crowd and see? Scoob, Steve and Abby. and right I thought that was awesome because they did not have to go
Starting point is 01:43:27 Scuba why did you go watch Mike speak I went in full support as what team members do when you know someone's there doing something you want to go there to show support I did that plus I learned a lot too Mike was very full of knowledge
Starting point is 01:43:37 and I was really impressed Abby what did you why did you go see Mike I mean Abby fell down She's dead Oh my God I'm good
Starting point is 01:43:48 She was trapped in the room I couldn't get out so Mike was up Yeah go ahead No, yeah, I went for support too. Because I helped work on podcasts, so I wanted to see what he wanted to say also. Did you learn anything? What did Mike do that was good?
Starting point is 01:44:02 Okay, well, I don't want to admit this, but I got there a little bit late. Oh, only have support. But I got there for all of his questions that people were asking, so. I heard, so at the dinner on Friday night, it came up that Mike had his panel, and I heard a lot of good things. Like, everyone was so impressed, and he did so great. Mike, how to go, buddy? I think we were pretty good. I talked about how to own your podcast niche in 100 episodes,
Starting point is 01:44:24 and like the big reason that people fail in podcasts is just because they stopped doing it. Did you record it at all? There was a recorder. Oh, we got to get that recording scuba if possible. Yeah, the problem was when Mike started, his mic was not functioning. Of course, it was like it's all the show here.
Starting point is 01:44:37 So it did record any of it, unfortunately. But it was great. It was awesome. I wasn't there. I was working here. We were recording a podcast here. Actually, the mic had set up. Then when he went to go do that one,
Starting point is 01:44:46 we were working on one here. But no excuse for you, Eddie. I was with you doing the podcast. Later. Way later. You came way later. Anyway, Mike, nice job, buddy. Thank you.
Starting point is 01:44:56 I'd love if we get that recording. I'm proud of all you guys for when you guys, you know, venture out and try new things. And now you guys are leading panels and it's pretty cool. My kids are growing up. They're flying away. Bye, everybody. The Bobby Bones show. A win is a win.
