Starting point is 00:02:04 All right, let's do get to know you Monday. The question is, if you could completely get rid of one. one month out of the entire year, what month would it be in why? You eliminate one month. I'll go first. You can pick mine if you want. It's not mine. I don't own it, but I'm going to go January, month one now.
Starting point is 00:02:19 It's kind of the no man's month when it comes to. I hate cold weather. Because some in December where we live, you can still do some stuff outside for like part of the month. And then February, like the back end of it, you can start to do some stuff outside. And with January, college football ends. Baseball hasn't started yet. It's the early part of basketball season.
Starting point is 00:02:38 season. Yeah. So would February just become like the start? Because you need something new. Yeah, February. Well, just eliminate what our earth does in January. Right. Go to February. Go to February. Yeah, I would eliminate January. Okay. Just because I hate cold weather. And all the sports, it's the worst month for sports just about. There's a month in the part of the summer. It's about too. But this is good. Amy? Yeah, I'm going to go August because that's the hottest month, I feel like. And I don't like super hot weather. And then. I mean, if I was a kid, that's normally when we had to go back to school. Ugh. I like August.
Starting point is 00:03:16 Sometimes people get married. I like going back to school and I like Super Hyatt. Outside in Texas in August and I don't understand that. That's tough. Eddie? Just an example. I'm going to get rid of May. I've been thinking about this because I want to go straight from spring, March, April, and then straight to summer.
Starting point is 00:03:32 Dude, you're getting rid of Cinco de Mayo. You are not making. I didn't think about that. Yes. Get rid of it. Let's go straight to the summer, dude. Also, Saker-D-Mai house is really an American holiday. Correct.
Starting point is 00:03:42 He's really American. I know. I've never celebrated single-a-Mah. But it's not really as Mexican as some would think, as I've been told. And it's kind of like just an excuse for restaurants to sell like Dollar Margaritas. And like, let's be honest, text-mex restaurants mostly. Right. Not even real Mexican restaurants.
Starting point is 00:03:56 Okay, lunchbox? Man, I don't want to copy January, so I'm just going to move on. And I'm going to say April. And that's because we don't, then we wouldn't have to pay taxes. It's Bobby's birthday. I don't care about the birthday. But you'd still have to pay taxes, I think. No, tax day is in April, man.
Starting point is 00:04:11 But then how would you have roads and police and firefighters? Oh, wow. And how would you have? Schools. I hadn't thought through that through, really. He just went with April and committed to it. April because that was the day you got to pay taxes. Got it.
Starting point is 00:04:23 Hey, it is your answer. So, I mean, that's what I was thinking, because every other month seems to be pretty good. Because January, you are right on. There's nothing going on in January. It's cold. It's miserable. It sucks. There's no holidays.
Starting point is 00:04:34 It's like Christmas is over. New Year's over. What are we waiting for? Valentine's Day? Oh, you know. know what? We get rid of February because Valentine's Day. Makes you mad? Yeah. It's just a commercial holiday to charge you more money for everything.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Like single a mile. Yeah. So you're changing. I'm changing from April. I went to January and now I'm on to February. So you'd rather pay taxes than have... Oh, yeah, because it's all... Oh, go to the store. Pay $500 for a dozen roses. Go to the next day. Pay $6. Ah, I'll wait for a day.
Starting point is 00:05:01 Curious to know what flower stores you're stopping by. Man, you've ever been to the Kroger? Thank you. All right. Time to open up the mailbag. an email and we read it all the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I'm planning my wedding and my mom is upset that I don't plan on having my younger half-sister there. A mom thinks it would be rude to me not to include my half-sister, but we're not very close. Plus, she will only be 19 and unable to come to a bachelorette party. My mom is worried that my sister will be extremely hurt by me not including her. However, if I include her, I would also feel obligated to include my step-sibling, which I don't want to either. Including them would bump friends out of the bridal party, who I'm close with. Should I kick two friends out and include my siblings to keep the peace?
Starting point is 00:05:52 Signed, not trying to be a bridezilla. Well, I don't think you should. I don't think if you include them in a part of the wedding, or even the Bachelorette party, they have to be part of the wedding party. Yeah, or vice versa. Like that doesn't... They don't have... Yeah. There are no rules.
Starting point is 00:06:10 Your mom's trying to put rules on it. Not because she's trying to be the angry mom. She's trying to keep the peace. Yeah. Yeah, that's what she wants. And stem the drama. Because it will be a bit dramatic if you don't invite them. But you don't have to invite them.
Starting point is 00:06:24 That's okay. I would say if you don't want them at the wedding, don't invite them to the wedding. But just think about it macro versus micro. Maybe you're irritated with them now. But think about it three years from now. think about it whenever their kids and your kids or it's something together, family related
Starting point is 00:06:41 and you've got to see them over the many years. Sometimes macro on micro, it does make a difference. If you just don't want them there and you can't afford to have them there, don't have them. However, if it is something that you're just like,
Starting point is 00:06:54 it's just annoying and I don't really want them here right now because this is something two weeks ago that really irritated me. You should probably have them there because it's going to be better long term. Yeah, and definitely you don't have them in the Friday
Starting point is 00:07:05 I don't have to be in the bridal party. You don't have to kick your friends out. Yeah. Nothing like that. They could even, get this, because I haven't read the rules lately, but they could come to the bachelor at party if you wanted them to and not be in the bridal party. Yes. The rules.
Starting point is 00:07:16 Yeah, I haven't read the rules lately. The rules of weddings. No, that's very common. Or they don't have to come at all. They just come to the wedding. You're not going to see them in much anyway. Or if you do, you're not going to spend a lot of time with them and give them a lot of time with them and give them a lot of attention because there's so many people there to give attention to.
Starting point is 00:07:32 If you really don't want them, don't have them. But I would say if it's recent that has made you feel this way, I would have them. And there are other ways for people to feel included. Send him a link. Watch the website. Not like that. Usher's. Yes, there's people that hand out.
Starting point is 00:07:51 Ballet. Like if you have a. It's not a brochure, but what's it called? Like you have a run of events. No, like when you sit down, you're seated. Oh, the program. The program. Yeah, five o'clock.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Oh, that's the word you were looking for a program. Yeah. They could pass the program out or they could be... I think, but I mean, they're not assuming to have them at the wedding. Okay. I just invite them to a wedding. You don't got to give them a job. Just invite them to the wedding or don't.
Starting point is 00:08:16 But if you feel like it could be a lot of... Is it worth the drama, I guess, I'm asking? Is it worth the drama? And if the answer is no, act one way. If it's yes, then act the other. Yeah. But it's your wedding. In the end, you do what you want to do.
Starting point is 00:08:28 We got your email and we read it on the air. Now it's about the clothes. Bobby's mail pack. This story is so crazy. You know the story, but maybe you don't know the end of the story. Well, so remember the girl, the Ukrainian orphan, and she gets adopted, and then she's like supposedly all crazy and killery. And the family's like, she's not a kid. She's like 20 something.
Starting point is 00:08:53 Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. So just from the beginning, this story has been like eyeball emojis. Like, look at this. So let's walk it back. Natalia Grace, a Ukrainian orphan accused of trying to kill her adoptive parents about 10 years ago. I don't want to spoil the end of this until I get there.
Starting point is 00:09:14 Do you guys remember the story? Yes. There's a like a Netflix special or a six part where they, and this is it. They go and they test her DNA and the story was, they said that she was just like
Starting point is 00:09:27 had stunted growth and that she needed a way to get to America if I'm remembering the story correctly. She had like an orphan, small kid to get adopted and then she went crazy. Yeah, she acted like a child. Mm-hmm. And you know what?
Starting point is 00:09:38 I was like, that's a crazy story. I believe it. Did you guys believe it? Yeah. Yeah. What is it? There were some details early on where I'm like, that's crazy. Me too, I thought like for sure adult snuck in.
Starting point is 00:09:50 Yeah, 100%. Especially how the news was like painting it, right? So, well, they did all the tests. She is close to 22 years old now. She was 10 when she got here. She was the age of, she was a kid. She was just crazy at that age? Well, I wouldn't call it crazy.
Starting point is 00:10:04 A lot of times there's some trauma there, and I don't know she was really trying to kill her adopted parents, but what's... They accused her of masquerading as a child. DNA test confirmed that she has been truthful about her age. She's like this one little piece of paper shows that that's all a lie. And 13 years, she says it's them lying their butts off. They ruined a kid's life.
Starting point is 00:10:28 They painted me as some big monster. The results of the DNA test confirmed that Grace was just nine years old when she was abandoned by our adoptive parents who ran off to Canada. They previously accused Grace of emotionally and physically abusing them as well as looming over the couple when they were sleeping with a knife in her hand. A claim she denies, but I don't, regardless, it's still a kid doing it who's not developed. Yeah. Not an adult who's so developed.
Starting point is 00:10:50 Totally. They tricked their way in. Very different. Wow. Both scary. Survival more. For everybody. It's scary for the kid more if you're, too.
Starting point is 00:10:58 Yes. So Michael Barnett was ultimately found not guilty. And Christine Barnett had all the charges dismissed in 2023. I think they were accused of like, not being good parents. What's that charge? I don't know, but I want to make charges. We almost got sued already. The whole thing just seems hard.
Starting point is 00:11:17 But she was a kid? Yeah. That's crazy. That's shocking to me. I had convinced myself she was an adult just by looking at pictures of it. I was like, oh yeah, for sure. Yep. Because I'm like, okay, clearly they wanted to adopt going through that whole process.
Starting point is 00:11:30 And then maybe when it became more than they could handle, they freaked out and didn't handle it well. But at what point do they go not? There's a lot of trauma and this sucks for everybody, including her. And what, there they go, she's 40. Right. Right. Because that's, that's way off. That's a weird way.
Starting point is 00:11:47 It's a weird jump, man. Maybe they just, because maybe they went into, you know, a survival mode of like, we got to get out of this somehow and we don't want to seem like bad people that just want to abandon this situation. So let's just make up some crazy wild story. I'm not justifying what they did at all in any way, shape or form. But it's like, you can put that with DNA. I know, but maybe they just weren't that sharp. And why did it take this long for this to happen for us to know it?
Starting point is 00:12:09 Yeah. Like a DNA test. They do that quick, don't they? Dude. It takes a couple weeks. I donate to my wife every day to make sure she's on a clone. I don't say that out loud. I'm kind of nervous about that, you know.
Starting point is 00:12:20 Just make sure that she's still real. I haven't replaced her. That's all. I want to talk about that story and that, yes, I'm sure the child had a lot of trauma. And I'm not even saying she wasn't standing over someone with a knife. And if so, that sucks for everybody. And that does, it is scary to wake up. And she might have been a terror in their mind.
Starting point is 00:12:38 However, there's a lot of trauma. And we're not going to assign our beliefs on that trauma. Listen, Amy, you have to adopted kids from another country. Yeah, no, I mean, I definitely have compassion for any difficult situation that, you know, biological children can have certain traumas as well. So it's not just exclusive to adopted kids. But it's almost like when you're adopting in some of the books and the training that you receive, like you, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're, you're. aware certain things can happen for sure, but then you just kind of think maybe they won't happen to you. And then when certain stuff starts to pop up, it's like you shouldn't be totally shocked by it.
Starting point is 00:13:18 But then you do have to do what you need to do to handle the situation. Well, it's also not real until it's you. Right. And then also the other part of the story is, and I'm not a victim of it. I'm an idiot because of it. I just believe the news sometimes. I think we all do. It's such a sensational story.
Starting point is 00:13:37 I'm like, this is crazy. She's like 30. She tricked them. She snick. And then they made like a movie. Yeah. Not, I don't know if it was based on her, but it was like a similar type story. Orphan.
Starting point is 00:13:49 It's not based on it all, but same kind of thing. So, we hope everybody finds some health. Right. And if those parents knew they were lying, that sucks and they're bad. I wonder if they were somehow convinced by somebody else. And they got bad information. Moral of the stories, we don't know. But I'm glad that the answer.
Starting point is 00:14:08 is out. That's wild. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So congratulations to Bailey Davis because she recently got engaged. However, when you're newly engaged, you're not used to having a ring on your finger. So when she was traveling
Starting point is 00:14:26 for work, she stopped at a rest stop to use the restroom, and she was in one of those single family bathrooms, and there was a little shelf by the sink. So she took her ring off, wash her hands. At the rest stop restroom. Yeah. It's not good. And then she got in her car. You take your ring off to wash your hands?
Starting point is 00:14:41 Do you? Sometimes, it depends. If she's new to it, she might want to because maybe you get nervous that it's going to get soapy and wet and fall off your hand. And that would be bad going down the drain. That's not a thing, right? That is a thing. Soapy water, if your ring is loose? I don't know it was loose.
Starting point is 00:14:57 I don't know that it is. That's why I would take it off. Okay, go ahead. Okay. Or if you want to get your hand really dry because sometimes the moisture gets under the ring. That's my guess. So anyway, she gets in her car and drives two hours down the road and looks down at her hand and realizes, oh no, my ring is not here.
Starting point is 00:15:13 She realized she left it there. So she put up flyers, Facebook posts, all the things. Did she go back before she did all that, though? I would go back first. Yeah, I would turn around. So I just started putting them up right there. I don't know the order of events. Yeah, got it.
Starting point is 00:15:27 But I assume she made flyers. She went back. There was Facebook posts. And then a guy contacted her because he saw the social post. His name is Cody Warren and or Cody Warren with a tea. and he said... I bet it was Cody. C-O-T-Y.
Starting point is 00:15:42 That what? Not Cotty. It's spelled different, yes, but I bet it was Cody. Because I used to D-Y. But anyway, Cody said he did not want a reward for his good deed. He said that being able to return a ring to someone that has lost it is rewarding enough. So shout out to him for finding it, seeing it on social. And then Bailey said that she has a deeper connection to her ring now that she's gotten it back.
Starting point is 00:16:05 What was Cody doing on the women's restaurant? Well, here's the thing, Eddie. I was going to bring the same thing up, but Cody may also be a woman, right? No, no, but it's a family bathroom, so anyone can go. Oh, it is? Okay. Yeah, it's one of those ones. I started to think maybe it's spelled weird because it's a female code.
Starting point is 00:16:18 Yeah, okay, I didn't think about that. Wow, it never, oh, nope. You said family bathroom. Cody or Coddy declined any reward for his good deed. Okay, no, Cotty. It's not Cotty. Coddy found the ring in the pot. All right. Cotty in the potty.
Starting point is 00:16:32 All right. Nice job. That is what it's all about. That was tell me something good. I want to go over and talk to Trevor and Montana. Hey Trevor, good morning to you, my friend. Good morning, Steve. Morning.
Starting point is 00:16:43 What's up, buddy? I was just curious. Was there any update on the whole pallet situation? And then also Eddie's hair transplant. Two great updates. So the palace situation is we found out that you can go buy a pallet of crap. You don't even know what's in it. And then you can sell it if you want individually and try to make money.
Starting point is 00:17:01 We did it. We put our money together, spent about $600, went through it all. it's still in the room over there. We haven't done anything with it. Lunchbox is our leader on this. So we're kind of following his direction. So what is the plan lunchbox? Yeah, it's a new year.
Starting point is 00:17:16 So we're going to... You know when he starts with it's a new year? He got nothing. It's a new year. So we're going to come up with a new business plan to get rid of that stuff and sell it. And yeah, I probably autograph a lot of it because I know people are going to want signatures on it. And so that only... I'm not opposed to that.
Starting point is 00:17:32 I agree. I know you think that's what you're selling. What if you just only you just only you? you signed it all. Well, I mean, we'd make a lot of money. There you go. You don't even need us. So just get it going.
Starting point is 00:17:41 Yeah, just do it. You're right. You're right. So as you can hear, Trevor, we don't have a plan. Wait, wait, wait. Trevor, you calling about a certain item? Well, I mean, you never know. Here's what we do.
Starting point is 00:17:51 I'm just going to take this thing by the horns a little bit. Lunchbox, I need you to individually photograph every single item. No, no, I'm not the web person. It's not the web. You're the, you can put photographs. It's his iPhone? Yeah. No, that's, I mean, that's a morning job.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Like, when we were unboxing it, it, She should be taking pictures. Stop. I need you to photograph every item. I want you to hold it like you're the model. And we need a picture of you're holding every single thing, listing out exactly what it is. I don't know all that.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Right. This is called work. No, no, no. And then Morgan, you have to get them on and list them up there. And then if a listener wants to buy something they see up there, sign, they can call us, we'll put the price on it. They can call us and just buy it and we'll ship it off. Sounds like what I had planned last year, but no one listened to me.
Starting point is 00:18:31 Okay, that's great. Okay, good. You did it all, so you get to work. Trevor, thanks for that. The other one is the hair transplant. We want to send Eddie to Turkey. Did I send you a video? Of what?
Starting point is 00:18:40 Which one? Because I've seen a lot of videos. Dude, I saved it. I was going to send it to you, but I saved it this morning. I put a bookmark on it on Instagram. Is it the dude's head that's like really big? No, I'm sure. I'm sure there are a lot of them.
Starting point is 00:18:51 But it's people talking about going to Turkey. And this one guy did his whole process where he's like, hey, I got on a flight. It was 13 hours from L.A. A really nice car picked me up when I arrived. Yeah, because they provide transportation. They do? Yeah, it's included in the fee. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:19:03 So, Eddie, what is the latest? Are you going to Turkey to. to get a hair transplant. The latest is I told you I was going to go on the break and kind of just think about it, talk to family members. And I did. I did just that and bones. I got to tell you that I was surrounded by a lot of people that had good heads of hair.
Starting point is 00:19:20 And I was like, I need to do this. I think I came out of the break saying, I need to do this. I haven't made my decision yet, but I'm really another good head of hair. Look at that. I haven't cut my hair. Now I'm not really growing it out for any reason specifically. I haven't cut it. And it's getting pretty long.
Starting point is 00:19:34 Would you agree? Yeah. I thought that. when you walked in? What? That your hair looked long. So, Eddie, let this. I just need both of you.
Starting point is 00:19:41 Lunchbox, I need all the pictures taken with you standing beside each item by two weeks from today. And Eddie, I need your answer two weeks from today. You got it. Yeah, I mean, I just need to get with Morgan so she can take pictures. No, stop making excuses. That's fine, but you have to hold each item. That's what I'm saying. She can take the picture, but you have to hold each item and then you have to do all the work on what the item is.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Well, don't we have a list? Didn't we make a list when we did this? Hey, Trevor. I'm asking. Thank you, Trevor. I appreciate you bringing that up. We'll have it all. everything good to go in the next couple weeks,
Starting point is 00:20:07 and if not, we're moving on from these bits forever. And we'll lose our money. Thank you. All right, buddy. Have a great day. You too. There's Trevor in Montana. A win is a win. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:20:19 I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that.

You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either.
Starting point is 00:21:35 We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care, so they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no.
Starting point is 00:22:00 I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodom. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live,
Starting point is 00:22:26 and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with them one day, and I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:22:48 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar. of, you know, the cat, just hang in there.
Starting point is 00:23:15 Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Let's play the Bobby Feud! We have a chance to win $100 today. More money than ever before. You have a chance to win $100.
Starting point is 00:23:36 The players are Amy, Lunchbox, and Eddie. So we asked about 3,000 of our Bobby Buncho listeners. That's something you replied. New Year's resolution for 2024. What are the top 10? Amy, you won the dice roll. Go ahead. Okay, I feel like it's just always a common one, but like lose weight. Show me lose weight.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Number one answer. Okay. Yeah, I'm not going to do much for me. So, oh, man, I feel like we all want to, would someone answer with this? Okay, save money. Would someone answer with that? No, no, I, I, I, I, I'm switching. You're trying to think of the polls.
Starting point is 00:24:17 No, no. I have. Yeah, say money. Yeah. A lot of people did. Three, good, good. Number three answer. No, no, I, I knew that one would be on there.
Starting point is 00:24:26 This is what I went away from. They're going back to it now? I'm going to go back to it. All right. Hopefully that's further down. Um, more sleep. More sleep. More sleep.
Starting point is 00:24:38 More sleep. Sleep, better sleep. Better sleep. More sleep. All right. What? Oh, see. I took a risk because I thought maybe that'd be at 10, you know?
Starting point is 00:24:48 Yeah. Let's go over to the lunchbox. Lunchbox, we had about 3,000 of our listeners. Yeah. Top 10 resolutions. Yeah. This bald guy next to me, he had this resolution a few years back and he reached his goal. Pay off debt.
Starting point is 00:25:04 Pay off debt. No, you said save money. That's not paying debt. Okay. Show me pay debt. Could go hand in hand, you know. It could have been that. That would have been two different ones, but it didn't.
Starting point is 00:25:17 It's not. Eddie? I'm going to go with working out. Working out. So. That has nothing to do with losing weight. Working out. Exercise more.
Starting point is 00:25:31 Get healthier. Yeah, I would say exercise more. Number two. Working out exercise, let's do that one. Healthy. Healthy. Being healthy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:39 Okay. I'm on the board. Number two answers, though. You got two points. Working out. I'm going to go with bones, read more. people like to read for some reason They like to read but they
Starting point is 00:25:50 Well they don't like to read but then the new year They're like I'm going to start reading more They like to say they want to read. Yeah show me read more Oh What? Okay so after round one We're struggling
Starting point is 00:26:00 Round of three Amy with four points Lunchbox was zero Eddie with two It is round two So points are doubled There are only three answers off board One two and three
Starting point is 00:26:09 To be healthier Exercise To lose weight Which is different, by the way. We had to kind of define that. Because you can lose weight to not be healthy. We wanted to make sure everybody was happy with us on this. That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Yeah. And then save money. Yeah, drink less. Oh, that's good, Amy. Alcohol? Yeah. Drink less alcohol. That is the number nine answer.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Wow. Worth 18 points. Okay. I wouldn't have got that. Me either. I never want to do that. Man, I'm trying to think of. What?
Starting point is 00:26:48 Okay. Maybe travel more. Travel more? Number eight answer. What on earth? What in the world? Yay. What are these people?
Starting point is 00:27:04 This is fun. Top 10 New Year's resolutions from our audience. 3,000 people answer. Number one, exercise more. Number two, be healthier. Number three, save more money. Number eight, travel more. Number nine, drink less alcohol.
Starting point is 00:27:19 drink more water. She's drinking. And she's not drinking. Show me water. Oh, dang, that's my mind. Lunchbox? Oh, man. It goes hand in hand with saving money.
Starting point is 00:27:35 And so I'm going to say eat out less. You got to cook at home. Cook those home-cooked meals. That's a good one. Yeah, cooking at home. That was a good one. It was a good one. I don't understand.
Starting point is 00:27:50 I'm taking this one off of Morgan. I'm going to go with a lot of people. are trying to find a partner. Find themselves a partner. Let's go. Get lucky. All right, round three. Final round, Amy, with 38 points.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Now, you can make a lot of points up here. Lunchbox zero, Eddie, two. Yeah, four, five, six, seven, and ten. Oh, boy. Big points on the board, Amy. Okay. Less screen time. Show me less screen time.
Starting point is 00:28:26 Dang it, that's what I have. Okay, okay. Number 10. Oh, okay. Less time on screens or social media. Dang it. Not good. Not good.
Starting point is 00:28:34 Besides cook. Stupid. Yeah, me too, man. I have that too. Okay. That's all I got, though. I went with the one of the two and I missed it. Good game, maybe.
Starting point is 00:28:44 Well, you don't have to give up yet. There's still points. A lot of points on the board. Have fun. I have fun. I like that. Like, do more fun. Fun stuff.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Lunchbox? He's out. He's dry. I'm really dry. Be dry. That's correct? Eddie? Oh, no, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:29:08 You threw in the towel and you're like, I got nothing. I'm dry. You said there aren't enough points. So, dry. Get a new job. No, it's not it. Eddie. I don't understand why I got better.
Starting point is 00:29:18 Without even giving an answer. Find a hobby. Show me a hobby. Yes. Number seven answer. Yes. 21 points. Learn a new skill or hobby.
Starting point is 00:29:27 Go ahead. Let's go. Did you really turn down a new job? it's not on there okay i'm gonna go with no i mean we listen to him it's not new job okay so it's not it's not on there okay uh let's go and make more friends show me new friends okay stop stop it's not part of you have fun with friends
Starting point is 00:29:56 stop it's not part of you have fun that's hilarious but it's not it was it was uh number five answers spend more time with friends and family wow wow wow wow what's the score do i have a chance here what do uh let's see 10 30 uh yeah you can tie if you get these two Okay, okay. I have to get two. There are two left. There's four and six, which we mean 10 points times three is 30. They'd be tied, right, Mike? Yeah, you get both things for a tie.
Starting point is 00:30:17 I told you there was enough points before lunchboxes quit. But Eddie had points. I didn't. I had a sleeping for ready. You're welcome. Oh, I'm thinking. Thank you. Bones, let's go with. That was nice if you did. Thank you. Such a nice guy. New year, new me, man. More giving.
Starting point is 00:30:35 You know what? That was nice. I want to say that's a resolution. Be nicer. nicer. Oh, I just David's you wasted it. What? Give more, donate. Volunteer. That's being nice. Oh, no. Improve mental health.
Starting point is 00:30:50 And stop smoking. There you go. With 68 points, our winners, game. You have a chance to win up to $100 here. So, have fun, Amy. There are three versions of the game. You can play the $20 game, which is one of three doors.
Starting point is 00:31:10 You can play the $50 game. which is one of five doors, but you play the $100 game, which is one of ten doors. Draw a game, let's go. Okay, so I want you to think I have the doors all in front of me.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Now I have put behind this door, which I have drawn on this piece of paper, a magic X. You picked this door out. And when I open it in this sound, here's the door open. If you hear this sound right here,
Starting point is 00:31:38 you win $100 in cash. Oh! What door do you not want? Do I not want? Yeah. One, for one. I don't want that. Show me doing one.
Starting point is 00:31:52 That would be good. Oh, it's a donkey. What other door do you not want? So that's good. I want that noise on the ones I don't. Okay. This game always... Now there's only nine left.
Starting point is 00:32:02 You don't want that one, yeah. Yeah, I don't want ten. Let's open ten up. One and eight shots. I don't want nine. Okay, she doesn't want nine. Seven shot. I don't want eight.
Starting point is 00:32:20 I don't want seven. Oh, hold on. I'm trying to make my exes here. Okay, hold on. Don't push about it. So we have two, three, four, five, six. Okay, we have that block. Right, those are all in line.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Okay. You have two, three, four, five, and six. What do you want? You're going a little too fast. No, I know. Now I got to pick what I want instead of what I don't want. Now, give me the way you don't want. Again?
Starting point is 00:32:47 Yeah. Six. Okay. Are we going all the way down until you pick two? Because if we are, just tell me what's two. If you're going to pick another one of that still, it's fun unless you're walking me all the way down. No, I'm just, this is my. Okay, so you have my.
Starting point is 00:33:00 Two, three, four, and five. Two. Am I picking one I don't want? Yes. Okay, I don't want five. Oh, my God. So now you're the one and three shot of a hundred. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:17 Okay. Go ahead. So what door? You have door number two, door number three, and door number four. Did I want? No, I don't want door to eat. Oh, my gosh. Two.
Starting point is 00:33:26 I don't want two. Okay. And I was like, if you want two, just take two. I know. I already had in my mind. I was just going to guess four. Oh, that's good. Sorry, you didn't win anything.
Starting point is 00:33:40 That was fun, though. Yeah, that was fun, though. All right, here's a voicemail from this weekend. Bobby, what happened to? It's time for the percolator. It's time for the percolator. What happened to that? Huh?
Starting point is 00:33:53 You don't remember the percolator? That song, I'm telling you, it kind of rings a bell. There was a station that we were beefing with. And you started percolating. With them? I'm no idea. Like, to them. With your body?
Starting point is 00:34:08 Yeah. I don't remember this. You remember this? That caller sounded like Luke Ryan. What's it? North Carolina. Yeah, it was like, North Carolina. When we finally beat them, I'm going to go do the percolator at their station.
Starting point is 00:34:17 It's starting to come back to me now. And you said something about poking the bear. They were poking the bear, so you're going to percolate on them. Yeah. Is that right? It sounds like it. I don't remember, though. And I guess you would sing it like that?
Starting point is 00:34:28 It's time for the percolator. Is that a real song, though? I don't know. I have no idea what... It's time for the percolate. But what is percolator? It's a dance. The dance.
Starting point is 00:34:36 I should look that up into the history of this show. Huh. Because whoever it is, we beat them. I probably just didn't want to pay for the ticket, fly it out there. This is crazy that people remember the randomest stuff because that is so random and none of us remember. It's time for the percolator. He's been thinking about it for a long time. Oh, wait.
Starting point is 00:34:54 Oh, it's Boston, Eddie. Oh, is Boston? Yeah, that station's been out of business. That station went out of business and chafloft like four times. All right, so that's what happened. We've percolated every day. Got them. All right.
Starting point is 00:35:03 Here we go. Tasha in Bakersfield. I am an active listener. I just want to tell you guys. You guys have been on point with the comments. and the funny this. And it's made my day. Thank you for what you guys do every single day.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Thanks. That's very nice of you. The percolator, we looked it up on Facebook, August of 2014. Because what happened was a decision in Boston who was like, and I'm not a big steel bits guy because who cares. What are you going to do? But they were doing it just to irritate me. They were literally taking exact segments, not to just try to make their own. It's a good idea because nothing. is new ever in the history of creativity.
Starting point is 00:35:45 But they were doing it exactly the same. And I was like, all right, it's on. The nerve. I don't even remember that, though. I guess I couldn't have been that mad. All right, here's that one more. This is Brittany. I just wanted to tell you a morning corny.
Starting point is 00:35:57 Simba was walking slow, so I told him to Mufasa. That's good. You like that, Amy? Yeah. Here's Amy's pile of stories. Well, your afternoon slump will start at 3 p.m. today and last approximately 29 minutes. Nope. It will last 59 minutes because 3 p.m. is when I work out and it sucks. Oh, that's right. So that's not possible.
Starting point is 00:36:20 It is a slump. I hate exercise. Okay. Well, the top five things that cause are slumps in the afternoon. Squats. Lunges. Your caffeine, maybe wore off. General boredom, lack of energy. You need to eat something or... That's a big one. Sometimes if I'm like, oh, it's just I didn't eat anything or drink enough water. Right. Or you didn't get enough sleep the night before. Yeah, water and sleep, man. We take it for granted.
Starting point is 00:36:44 Where I was like, we can make it for it, especially sleep. I'll just make up for it. The older I get, the more I realize how much I did not treasure and value it as much as I should have. Yeah. The good news is we can just, we keep doing it now. We've learned. Yeah, but I've already killed those brains and I can't get them back. All right, what else?
Starting point is 00:37:01 So travel dupes are a thing. Have you heard of this? No, like a fake travel? Well, yeah, you know, like you've heard of tennis shoes. You might have one brand, but you get the dupe. It's like a look alike. Well, if you love Paris, London, New York, but you don't want the crap. crowds are the cost, you can find a location that is similar and just as enjoyable, and it's
Starting point is 00:37:19 called a travel dupe. So like Paris, Texas. Not the same. Or Las Vegas, Paris Hotel. Okay, that's closer. Very good. Okay, okay. Travel experts say that a destination like Montreal could be a good swap for Paris.
Starting point is 00:37:33 Well, but they're both far. How is that a swap? I might just go to Paris. It depends, I guess, where you live, but it might be. I guess if I live in Ottawa, it's probably easier. It might cost less for you to just. How about you just fake it? and take a picture inside a house and be like,
Starting point is 00:37:46 I'm in a house in Paris. I don't know. Maybe their thought was you're already in North America, so you just scoot on up if you're going to leave the country. And isn't it weird we call ourselves America? Why is that weird? What do you mean? That's what we are.
Starting point is 00:37:57 Yeah, that's our name. Because what's odd is there's Canada's part of North America. There's Mexico. It's all North America. That's all America. North America, South America. That's all America. But we've declared ourselves America.
Starting point is 00:38:11 We're actually the United States. You're telling me Argentina doesn't say they're America. They don't. We're the United States of America because all of North America is the of. But isn't, okay, yeah, because South, he's saying, because South America might say America. Right. Why wouldn't they? They should, though. Everybody could just be like, we're America. It's weird that we've just declared we're America. That's basically everybody in North and South America.
Starting point is 00:38:34 But we're the United States of America, of North America. Okay. Well, they say expert travelers that do this, they say that if you want to, to feel like the real place, you go to do your homework. And when you arrive, make sure to immerse yourself in the local culture. I do like lunchbox's idea of the Paris Casino. Same deal. Okay, yeah, whatever.
Starting point is 00:38:55 The restaurants have French food there and everything. No, sometimes the restaurants still have hoagies from right down the road. Different. Speaking of traveling, Yahoo Finance shared that we will go approximately 600 miles to see our favorite band or artist. Six hundred. No. That's how far we're wrong, though. We're not good people to question because we're in the industry.
Starting point is 00:39:17 Yeah, like work aside. Yeah. The farthest I think I've traveled to see someone is when I went with you, Bobby, and Eddie, and we drove to Little Rock to see Garth Brooks. Right. Yeah, but that's not 600 miles. No, and that was me going to my home. But that was a real, we weren't there for work.
Starting point is 00:39:33 We went to, we went for fun. That's true. But we got tickets from work. Didn't I call you tickets from work? Yeah, probably. Okay, but that's, that's only 346 miles. Bones, we've talked about going to see Hootie in Mexico. What?
Starting point is 00:39:44 No, Eddie, that's a youth who's on for drugs. Oh, right, right, right. Shouldn't say that here. Hey, man, you want some hooty in Mexico? Wait, well, I'm just kidding. Eddie went to Hawaii to see Pearl Jam. Yeah, that was a long time ago. Yeah, I went to Minnesota to watch John Mayer.
Starting point is 00:40:02 That's crazy, man. But it's my only weekend off forever, and I was like, I got to go see him. I love him. Lunchbox, you went to New York to go see Jay Z and Eminem. But that was, I mean, long time ago. Yeah, but I was gifted the tickets. Who got it for work? Some guy named Bobby.
Starting point is 00:40:18 I also found this study that one in ten fans would even go into debt to see their favorite. Eddie did. That's how it started for me. That's right. That's how it started for me. I got a credit card to go to Hawaii to see Pearl Jam. It was the Hawaii part more than it was the Pearl Jam part, though, Eddie. But that's the reason we want to go to Hawaii.
Starting point is 00:40:35 No, I know, but you're like, that's why went into so much debt because of Pearl Jam. It started right then. You couldn't went to Tupelo, Mississippi to watch Pearl Jam. Wow. That is baffling that people go into debt to go to a concert. I know. I know. It's crazy, man.
Starting point is 00:40:46 I don't think it's just a concert. It's like an experience. People will go into debt to go on a vacation. Any experience they feel like it's that they value. You could do like the travel dupes we're talking about. Is there like an artist dupe? Yeah, like a cover bag. They don't understand what dupes are.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Only when you said that, just so you know, because I remember there, but like, a fake. Oh. Okay. A duplicate. A fake. Yeah, I know, I know. We didn't want to say anything. I know.
Starting point is 00:41:08 I know. Oh, you know, like. The only reason I know what doops are shoes, because I like shoes and watches. So the dupe is like if I give you a fake $100 bill. That'd be a dupe. Yeah. That's cool. That's counterfeit.
Starting point is 00:41:19 Or like lunchbox when your dad would take you to look at the elephants in the parking lot until you get was the circus. That's a duke. And we told us it was a circus and we thought that was a circus. And it was the circus to you. Yeah. It was the circus to you. It was the circus to me until I got older and I still am like, that is so crazy. All right, Amy.
Starting point is 00:41:38 Thank you. I mean, that's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. During the holidays, travel is obviously crazy. A guy named to Darwin Hickman.
Starting point is 00:41:52 He works in the Bay Area at an airport, at the skycap there, and he just helps people with the luggage. You get out of the car, you can give those people your bags, or you can go in. And so he's there, and he's like, man, this has been crazy. You got a lunch break. And when you bought a $30 set-for-life Scratcher, which, by the way, that's a big one.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Yeah, that's a lot of money. $30 for a scratcher? That's crazy. so he uncovered the word life. Scratch set for life. What does that mean? It means you get it for life. Payments every year for a life.
Starting point is 00:42:20 Well, what it meant is he won the top pride of 20 million. It means he's set for life. Oh, my goodness. So can you choose to get it all now or do you get it over life? No, I think you lump sum it. This one's a lump summer. I would always lump summit because why did you die? That's what you're known as a lump summer.
Starting point is 00:42:38 That's what we call you when you're not around. Anybody say you know a lump sum? But yeah, you want I'm looking at the picture of it here. L-I-F-E $20 million. Did he go back to work? No, chance. I wouldn't.
Starting point is 00:42:50 Why would you? Done, we're done. Maybe. I would have, but the first time I got any crap, I'd be out. Which is not going to be in five minutes because it's the airport. Hey, late, hey, your break's over. No, it's not. What?
Starting point is 00:43:01 Your break's over. I'm out. Yeah, the first time somebody gave me lip, I'd be out. And I'd make a scene but record over TikTok. That's awesome. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win.
Starting point is 00:43:15 A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way,

Starting point is 00:44:27 You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield. In this new season of The Girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist. I felt like I got hit by a truck.
Starting point is 00:44:49 I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves. Listen to the Girlfriends. Trust me, babe.
Starting point is 00:45:07 On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever. you get your podcast. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Wadden. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live, and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo. Woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever.
Starting point is 00:45:34 I went and had lunch with them one day. And I was like, and Dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place they come look for up and coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot.
Starting point is 00:45:55 He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat, just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot in luck. Listen to Thanks, Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Before the end of the year, when I was still here, an infection, there's a sinus infection that was so bad and made me think my teeth was hurting.
Starting point is 00:46:33 Like, at a cavity or something. I never had one so bad that it was sinus into my teeth and into my ear. So I go to the doctor and I get steroids, antibiotics. I don't like taking that stuff because I know I'll need it at some point. so I don't like, I want to get to the point where it doesn't affect me anymore, but I need you do it this time. So I'm like,
Starting point is 00:46:49 give me the hit, give me the hit. So I got it. I'm on antibiotics. I was on it for a couple weeks. My doctor goes, you need to go to an allergist, like a real allergist because you're getting these infections so bad
Starting point is 00:46:59 and they're every year, once a year, sometimes twice a year, you lose your voice. Go, so I go. I was there for three hours. And they did the test, but it was hardcore more than I've ever done. They did a little thing where they'd poke me before and put stuff in. They took, like, this back scratch-o,
Starting point is 00:47:13 back scratch-o! And they scratched you. my back and they did all of these things that make me see if I'm allergic to that. I felt like I was on fire. I was allergic to like 20 things. And then they ran out a room in my back so they had to do my arm. What? And then I feel bad for the woman, the doctor, because I got moles on my back.
Starting point is 00:47:30 And I just feel like she's dodging moles to find spots to do it. Like I just feel gross as a human. So we finished and she's like, you're very allergic to a lot of outdoor things. Like extreme. So when I go to bed at night and I do, I try to shower, normal amount. like a normal human, but she's like, you need to shower every night before you go to bed because if you've been outside, all that allergous stuff gets in your hair and your clothes, you don't see it, and you're breathing it in.
Starting point is 00:47:51 I love you're a guy. You can wash your hair every night. Her thing to me is you have to sleep clean. Because if you don't sleep clean, you'll be breathing in all the stuff as you're asleep. Wow. And then, so she's like, do this little over-the-counter stuff. But I go in starting two weeks. I have to go in every week for a year to get allergy shots. Three a week.
Starting point is 00:48:10 Three a week? That's a lot. Yeah. Well, I could take medicine, and it'd be a lot. slower and I would slow but I'm like I just want to get this done so I'm gonna go I have to go in every week and get three allergy shots arm you good with needles no but I'm but I'm not good losing my voice and always being sick yeah but then what after the year you're good because you built up I'm not a doctor in allergies I think that's the idea yes that's kind of what I think the idea is too so when you
Starting point is 00:48:37 say you have to go and get three shots a week do you have to go Monday Wednesday Friday or they do you all three one day and I think I can do all three that's legit that's better yeah oh heck it's close to the house so I think it's Think about taking three trips a week to the doctor. Couldn't. Yeah, Bobby, you probably wouldn't. You just wouldn't go. I wouldn't go.
Starting point is 00:48:51 No, I'd just die. I don't have time for that. I just die. But that's what I did. And so I did the allergy stuff. It was hard. That test was hardcore. I felt like I was on fire.
Starting point is 00:48:58 My shoulder and my back with all this stuff. And I got a whole grid. She said my lungs were inflamed because I'm so allergic to stuff that I had lost like 20% lung capacity. Whoa. What do you like? What's the main culprit? Is that everything, man? pollen?
Starting point is 00:49:11 pollen? Grass. grass, all that. Dust mites kill me. Don't go to my house. Dander dogs. And I was like, there is no chance. She goes, take allergy. We're good. We'll get you there. I was like, I lay on the ground with my dogs and hug them.
Starting point is 00:49:26 She goes, yeah, that's part. You're allergic to that. So I wonder the, you know, side effects of that long term. Do you? Well, I know if it's over four hours, I've got to go to the doctor immediately. Not that. Oh. Okay. Go ahead. How else?
Starting point is 00:49:41 I was going to talk about this shot I got. a long time ago that it was just one shot and it took away the allergies for my life but they had to put it like in my groin hip area and I don't know if it's a trial one shot forever
Starting point is 00:49:56 because I would think if that were the case that's what we'd all be doing. Yeah. Right. You know that tail? You have the tail that you have now that comes out of your butt? Yeah. It's like I have a tail no it's my lower tail bone. Right but it comes out like a tail. It's the lower back side effect.
Starting point is 00:50:11 Side effect. All right let's go to Amy's corny. A morning corny. All right, Sunday and Monday are in a fight. Who wins? Sunday, because Monday is a weekday. That was the morning corny. Happy Monday. Happy Monday, everybody.
Starting point is 00:50:32 All right, thank you. Best Buy is going to stop selling Blu-rays and DVDs this year. Oh, that's it. Yeah. It's just weird. It makes sense, but it's just weird. Yeah. I mean, that's where I used to go get any movie.
Starting point is 00:50:45 I'd go to Best Buy and find a movie. And CDs. Like to have, yeah. Because there's Blockbuster era. There's Best Buy era. There's Netflix era. There's definitely a Best Buy era where you'd go and you see what they had through there. So they're not going to do DVDs.
Starting point is 00:50:59 So if you have a movie you really love, you go get it so you can have the hard copy version of it. Right. What would those three movies be? Your top three movies, kind of of all time. But what won't say that if the world ended, you have those three on DVD. Oh, man. So you can interpret. this however you want top three best three to have a hard cut i don't know but you get three movies
Starting point is 00:51:21 and then they burn all the movies up and it's the only three you have on DVD only movies you can watch like you know deserted island type thing what do you have amy steel magnolius i'm tempted to just go with my top three favorite movies that i always go that works yeah that also works but it's like would you want the same three kind of movies exactly because they're very similar you know So I'll go Sto Magnolius gives me all the feels And then, because I'll always want to have some holiday Spirit of sorts, I'll go for Christmases
Starting point is 00:51:56 Wow, one of your top three, good for you. It's so funny. And then, gosh, Rhys Suther Spoon, now I'm thinking about her, so I'll go Sweet Home Alabama. Eddie? I'm not to go Forrest Gump. That's my favorite movie of all time. So I got to have Forrest Gump.
Starting point is 00:52:13 And I'm going to go feel the dreams because that movie just makes me feel good. Every time it's on, like if it's even halfway on and I just going through channels, I will stop and watch that movie every single time. And then lastly, Amy, I'm with you.
Starting point is 00:52:28 A Christmas movie, I gotta have that. So give me from 1946, it's a wonderful life. So you're not even kidding. Like, you really like that movie. It's really good. I'm not kidding. I love it. Sometimes we think you like say stuff
Starting point is 00:52:39 just to be cool. And here's the deal. I go to sleep every night with a black and white movie on. So I got to have that. His wife, that's true. His wife is telling me, like, she's like, it's so annoying. Yeah, that is weird.
Starting point is 00:52:49 And then as soon as I fall asleep, she turns it off. Lunchbox? Yeah, ma'am. You may take our lives, but she'll never take our freedom! Braveheart. Gotta have it. Good. Must have.
Starting point is 00:53:02 And then, you know, a sexy time. Bored it at. Make you laugh. Always laughing. Great. Then you need inspiration to never get up. You get knocked down, but never going to keep you down. Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Rudy. Okay. Yeah. That's a great movie.
Starting point is 00:53:23 It is a great movie. I'll trade. Do you feel the dreams for Rudy? Okay. Ray? Yeah, give me comedies. So I'm going hangover, wedding crashers, and then it's about a deserted island. It is the beach with Leonardo DiCaprio. It is the worst movie. That's not a comedy, though, right? That movie is so terrible and so bad. They get in trouble or something on the beach? Did he hate on your movies? Yeah, yeah. He assigned me when we did a... No, but did he hate on your movies just now?
Starting point is 00:53:50 But I will say... Answer the question. No, no, but there was a kid that lived in my neighborhood that was in the beach. Oh, yeah? Growing up, yeah. He was friends with Leonardo DiCaprio as kids. Wow. And I don't know, I guess they had a fallen out because he's not in movies anymore.
Starting point is 00:54:02 Is his name Toby? No, his name's Jerry. My name's Jerry. My name would be Man on the Moon, Andy Kaufman, that story with Jim Carrey's in it. Truman Show. Oh, wow. Two Jim Carries. You've never seen Truman Show.
Starting point is 00:54:16 I don't know what that one is. It like hits me in this different. Oh, I recently saw it. It's so good. It's so good. And then I would pick, because it's like I'm torn up on a comedy or just go my favorite movie. Think about Borat. Rope.
Starting point is 00:54:31 Think about the stuff. Shawshank. Showgirls. That's where I was going to do. I'm going to go Eternal Sunshine of the Spadless Mind. Three Jim Carrey movies. Are you crazy? That's all you have.
Starting point is 00:54:44 Or John Wick. there we go. Now you're talking. I'm going to go John Wick. Yeah, switch it up. Because he might hate Jim Carrey after all that. I'm taking off the... I wouldn't hate him. I love those movies. I'm taking off Eternal Sunshine with the Spotless Mind.
Starting point is 00:54:57 And I'll put on John Wick. Johnwick won? Well, yeah. If you've only have one. I haven't seen... Jump in the middle of the story. It'd be kind of weird. I do love Keanu. I do love Keanu. All right, well, everybody go to Best Buy and get your movies before they end it. It's kind of the deal there.
Starting point is 00:55:14 Morgan, you've been single for how long? About a year now. How old are you? I'm 30, just turned 30. Never been married. Never been married. You're out on the prow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:55:24 Do you feel like you're the aggressor at times? I feel like sometimes I have to be because guys just don't do it anymore. Like, they don't want to go up to women anymore. Why do you think that is? I think it's partially that they're worried is coming off as creepy and partially that they're just done doing it. Like they're tired of... Yeah, tired of going up to women. tired of being rejected, which I get it.
Starting point is 00:55:46 Like, I feel that. I'm tired of dating. We're done as humans then. I know, it's tough. I also think guys to, you know, you're not taught to have to be as alpha and macho as previous generation. Yeah, yeah, yeah. That's just slowly not been the thing as much forever. It's not anything we've done or a generation.
Starting point is 00:56:07 But think about the 50s. Hey, baby, get in the car now. What? 60s. You know, you can just walk back, walk in every. regeneration, a little less alpha, a little less macho. But when I say that, I don't mean that as positive words, because I think women have also become more alpha.
Starting point is 00:56:22 And I think guys sometimes get intimidated by that. So, but Morgan's been, and I wanted to do this, hit me with that music, please. This is business music. What I like about Morgan is she's taking this thing clinical. So, Morgan, how many dates did you go on in December? I went on 10 first dates. 10?
Starting point is 00:56:37 She has a whole spreadsheet of every single thing happening. She's done the data here. Okay, so what are you going to talk to us about? Well, do you want to see my presentation? because I did, I put it together. It's a freaking PowerPoint. Wow. This is a business meeting.
Starting point is 00:56:50 This is how you do it. If it's not working one way, switch it up and do it another. Okay, it allows me to see it in numbers. Dates in December. Dating in December is what it says. Okay. Okay. I like it.
Starting point is 00:56:59 All right. So, ready, three out of ten dates just wanted to party the whole time. 30% of dudes only want to go and get drunk. Yes. They were just there to have a good time. Okay. That's party rock slide. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:57:13 I have funny times. titles on all of them. I'll let you read the titles, Bobby. The title here is smooth talkers. Five out of ten dates actually had great conversation to bring to the table. Were there any that they were on the border? And you're like, I don't know if I should do, they were good or not. And you were like, ah, they, okay. There was probably one that was on the border. There was four that were really solid. But one, I was like, okay, he can lean into it. Is it that they're smooth talkers? Because smooths to me feels like somebody who's trying extra hard to do extra much. Or did you just hit it off with them more?
Starting point is 00:57:41 It's hard to tell because I'm a really good talker. So I'm not sure if I'm just really good at talking to a brick wall. She's warm. She's warm. She's talking to. Yeah. Like, I can bring a lot out of somebody. I'm really good at interviewing and finding information out about people.
Starting point is 00:57:55 So it's hard for me to tell. These were the ones I could tell they were also good at it. Were any of them just real bad and you know immediately it's not going to work? Yes. There was one. How did that go? I just kind of went through the motions and I kind of treated it like, okay, this is just me hanging out with a friend and we're getting lunch. That I'll never see again.
Starting point is 00:58:13 And then do you try to eat fast? A little bit, yeah. You try to move along. All right, next slide. Crying through awkwardness. What? One out of 10 dates was awkward that I nearly cried in the bathroom. It was that one?
Starting point is 00:58:28 Yeah. Why would that make you emotional? More like cry out of like cringing, more like, okay, I got to get out of this. I don't know how to get out of it. I'm really bad at rejecting things. So I'll just kind of sit there and deal with it versus I know a lot of people who can just like, okay I'm done, I'm leaving. Whereas I just went through the whole thing, the motion like I finished the date. Wait, people don't, they just in the middle, they just are like, okay, this isn't
Starting point is 00:58:51 working so you might as well save each other time and I'm going to go? And this guy was very adamant about us going out to eat on the first date where I really like to go for coffee or a drink or make it pretty a chill first day. And he was really adamant about eating on the first day. And it was very awkward. It was just awkward from start to finish. Is it because he loved food or is it because he just felt like that was his environment to shine? Yeah, maybe he knows he needs more time to Or maybe he'd like, if it's really good food, yeah, like, you can't leave. Right. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:59:17 Yeah. So a little awkwardness. Okay, next up. This one just title, cringe. Okay. One out of ten dates, there was a near miss of my world's colliding. X's? No.
Starting point is 00:59:29 So I went on two dates, one on a Friday night, one on a Saturday, and they both chose the same restaurant. So I had the same server. That's awesome. Now, was the server A-plus? Yes, he didn't say anything. and he just treated it like he never saw me before. Did he, do you think he remembered you? Yeah, he totally did.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Because when he came to the table, his eyes kind of got really big. And then he just went back and was like, how are you guys? Have you been here before? And I was like, no. A plus, good job, man. Oh, man. So great server. You need to be rewarded somehow, some way, not financially by Morgan or anything,
Starting point is 01:00:01 but like in life. I hope something good befalls of you. Maybe he's the dude after all this. Was he cute? He was cute, but not somebody I'd pursue. Okay. Maybe not. Maybe not.
Starting point is 01:00:11 All right. Next up. Hometown Hero. One out of 10 dates happened in my hometown of Wichita, Kansas. You did a date home? Yeah, you know, trying some different things. I like that. So was it a setup or an app?
Starting point is 01:00:25 It was an app. Okay. And how did that go? It was good. He was a good match. And I mean, I was pleasantly surprised, but I did have to go through a lot of people on the dating apps in Wichita that I was not going to go on a date with. I'd be so annoyed if I was that dude because it's like you're this dude in Wichita.
Starting point is 01:00:40 you're probably has a good career, good life. You meet a great girl and she doesn't even live in the same town. Right. I did put that I lived in Nashville. No, I know, but I'm saying, you're like, wow, she's really cool. Oh, man, she lives like eight hours away. That's... All I hear right now is, oh, Wichita.
Starting point is 01:00:59 What happened with that dude? Do you get to talk to him at all? So he's actually a big traveler, and so he'll be coming through Nashville, and I think we may go on another date then. Good for you. Yeah. All right, what else? That's cool.
Starting point is 01:01:11 City of Dreamers. Nine out of the 10 dates were in Nashville, Tennessee. Got it. How many more are these? I like it. I just want to make sure I know. I think there's maybe like four more.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Okay, good. I would do 20 more. I just don't know when it ends. I don't either. Okay. This one says, so I can kiss you anytime I want. Reference to my favorite movie,
Starting point is 01:01:28 Sweet Home Alabama. Three out of the ten dates went in for the first kiss on the first day. Wow. This is great daddy. Like where, though? 30%. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:01:36 Where? On the lips, Amy. Where else did you get? On the hand. Okay, guys, it's not what I meant. Oh, guys. Like, I'm pretty sure Morgan meets them. Like, they don't pick her up at her house for first date.
Starting point is 01:01:47 So I'm curious where they kiss, like, on the sidewalk, outside the restaurant, at the restaurant. Two of them were when they walked me to my car at the end of the date. Okay. And one was at the bar. What's the typical move now of a guy walking you to the car? Do you, like, know it's coming? Is it slow? I was like, well, this was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 01:02:07 Like, is it, how does it happen now? It's very awkward. I have, like, I've noticed that it's just gotten more increasingly awkward. Yeah. They aren't very smooth with it. It's kind of like a very awkward. They go in for the hug and then it somehow kind of happens. They like slight and roll.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Yeah. It's not very smooth. What about the bar? Was just drunk? Yeah, I think, I think we both had like two drinks and it was just we were having fun and it felt right. Yeah, that's good. That one's, that one's better. That one was smooth.
Starting point is 01:02:32 The car ones are the ones that are awkward. Like you got to, I know my wife crushes me about the first time I kissed her. I don't even know. How was that? I don't think it was a bad. as she says, I don't know. You ask her because she makes me seem like an awkward person. Because you're not that.
Starting point is 01:02:50 Okay, go ahead. Next one. Same day, Sally. Zero out of ten of the dates did I go on the same day? So I improved. Oh, you mean you didn't do two and one day? Got it. Okay, good.
Starting point is 01:03:00 Like I did the month before. Missed opportunity. Only two of the ten dates earn themselves a second date. Wow. Her burn ratio. It was 80%. Which tall, one of the two? Yes.
Starting point is 01:03:15 And only one of the other nine in town. Our Nashville do is just losers because it's like the industry and they feel like they have to be cool because the industry is kind of cool. A little bit. I mean, that's why I call it the city of dreamers. I feel like people come here chasing a dream and they're not really here to find a family or settle down. They're very focused on living a dream. You know, that's interesting. Yeah, that is.
Starting point is 01:03:34 And that wasn't what I was meaning. But that's interesting, too. Like, their focus is on their dream. this and like, you know, have a little fun. But if you come and let's say you're kind of overwhelmed or it's a lot, Nashville's cool, everybody's got a good singer, tattoos, art, you're like, well, I got to be cooler than I really am. And so you put up this I'm cooler image or you get tattoos.
Starting point is 01:03:56 And all of a sudden you're kind of a douche. And so a lot of dudes are duches, not because they're actually douchy people, but because they feel like they have to have that image. They're trying to keep up. I do think there's some of that for sure. Okay, and? I think this is my last one. Check, please.
Starting point is 01:04:11 Okay, 10 out of 10 dates paid for the first date. Nice. 10 out of 10 dates, I fake reached for my wallet. Nice. Both great. Yeah. And they said, so you do the fake reach and they're like, no, no, no, no, I got it. Always fake reach. I got a question.
Starting point is 01:04:25 What if one of them would have said, yeah, let's split it? Then she splits it. That I would have done it. I was already reaching. Okay, no, no, no. I'm talking about if they were one of the two guys that earned a second date, would they still have earned a second date? Probably not just because I... Goodness.
Starting point is 01:04:37 She can have her own opinion, dude. She gets her own opinion. Yeah. And we always say, oh, the guy didn't have to pay for the first date. Chimes are changing. It's so ridiculous. She gets her own opinion and how she dates and who she dates. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:04:49 Yeah, the two, I feel the exact same way, Morgan. So. Yeah, I'm like the first date. Yes, I'm also not expecting a fancy steak dinner. You got two women here that make really great living. Probably more than any dude they're going to date. Both of them. Okay.
Starting point is 01:05:04 It's going to be problematic probably because our generation can't. That's, Morgan, that's awesome. That's my dating in December. Did you get all this on video, Eddie? Oh, yeah, I have it all. So we can just put this all up as a PowerPoint. I'd like to get those slides from you, please. Yeah, I got you.
Starting point is 01:05:19 So maybe in spring, you know, if you're still single, give us like a whole, you know, a January through March. Okay. Powerpoint. I hope we, it ends with, and here he is. Yes, the final slide. Oh, dude, moves your slides. No more meetings.
Starting point is 01:05:33 I did eat the grapes under the table. I saw that. What does that mean? I don't know. Yeah, what was that? It's a Spanish-Mexican tradition. With red underwear. Never heard of it.
Starting point is 01:05:42 Yeah. And then she hit Eddie on the shoulder like, you should know that you Spanish-Mexican. It's a thing. Don't know you Spanish-Mexican? How do you not know your own culture? That's the thing. It's supposed to bring you good luck and prosperity and love. Well, Morgan, good luck.
Starting point is 01:05:53 Thank you. And prosperity and love. Did the Wichitae guy listen to the show? No. That's good. That's wow. I mean, not that it's bad if they do, but, like, Wichel's our favorite city. What's bad is if they do and they lie.
Starting point is 01:06:04 Yeah, he said he does. He listens. everybody in which soul listens. No, that's not true. What's bad is it, hold on, hold on, because you can't punish people for liking the show. You can punish them for lying
Starting point is 01:06:16 that they don't listen. There's a big difference. Ooh, this brings up a question. Because I would do that with friends. A lot of people I'd meet, I would like, I can't be their friend. They're like, and, you know, they'd be in the music industry.
Starting point is 01:06:28 Right. And she would go, wait, wait, you can't punish them because of this. Now, if they're acting this way because they're in the music industry. So you need to stop doing it. So similarly, I've had to kind of adapt that, adopt that, adapt to that.
Starting point is 01:06:43 Okay, question. My friend met a guy that has a very popular podcast, and he approached her and was like, hey, you know, have we met? Yeah, they were at the same place. Oh, did she know the podcast? Yeah, she listens to it. But she didn't.
Starting point is 01:06:58 She just was like, oh, no, we haven't met. And then they met. She needs to jump quick. Okay, well, what, I. Like, I text him right now and be like, He didn't get her number yet. Next time she'd be like, oh my God. Whatever, she'd be like, I don't want to say it, but I like your podcast.
Starting point is 01:07:12 I'll listen to it. Okay. Because once he finds out, he'll think it's a super fan stalker killer. Or he doesn't care and he's going to have sex with her and move on anyway. Oh, well, okay. I mean, really, that's the two things. All right. But there's going to be no, no, he's not going to trust to have a relationship with her.
Starting point is 01:07:26 Okay. Okay. Thank you for saying that. Because I was kind of like, shoot, I'll have to ask about because I don't know what I, what would we should do. She didn't say it right away. Joe Rogan? No, but you know him. Oh.
Starting point is 01:07:39 All right. I got an idea. I don't. I have no idea. Morgan, thank you. You're welcome. A win is a win. A win is a win.

I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up. through and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent. He said if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:10:20 He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat just had. hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. The first story in the news, I could not stop watching videos on it. Let's go.
Starting point is 01:11:00 Bobby's Big. Stories. There was them all in Miami and they were like, there's more cop presence here for this fight than have ever been. And they, like, zoomed out. I mean, there were cops everywhere. And there was like there was a fight at the mall. And then people started reporting they saw these 10-foot alien creatures at the mall. And then power grids were supposedly out. Internet was out. They stopped playing for a fight at the mall.
Starting point is 01:11:28 Now, I watched so many stupid TikToks on this over the weekend. But rumors and video clips of panic, massive police presence, and what social media users claim to be 8 to 10 feet aliens appearing at a Miami mall cropped up online. the digital buzz appearance seems to be sourced from footage of a New Year's Day brawl at a shopping center that involved several juveniles despite memes and online conspiracy theories the Miami Police Department they're ruling out aliens they say now here are some people breaking down what happened that were there there's a big crowd of people running out of Bayside and kind of grouping up outside and then we hear more commotion and now they're all just running through the streets running between cars almost getting hit by cars it was like absolute chaos I don't I think it looks pretty real to me. Alien looked pretty chill. I'd be friends with an alien. I think it would be pretty cool. The real question is, are they friendly? Are they after us? Are they going to attack us? Are they going to do world domination on us? Who knows, man? A couple things. One, is way too many cock cars for there to be a fight. I think it's probably something they're not telling us. But probably not 10-foot aliens.
Starting point is 01:12:32 But two, they did have this footage of what looked like something from the top. It looked like a creature. It could be shadows and lights or something. Now, I don't think it is, but it definitely, they can't identify what this huge thing is walking. What? I need to see this. In my mind, I'm picturing something totally crazy. Could have been from another dimension. Come look at my computer screen real quick. Because this is it, and you'll see the cop card, and you'll see this figure right here walking beside the, that's not a human.
Starting point is 01:13:01 Do you see it? Yeah. And they can't. It looks kind of like Staypuff marshmallow man. Oh, that's big. Well, not that big, it just looks like Staypuff. Is he glowing? I don't know, I just, I...
Starting point is 01:13:11 And that is a lot of cop cars. It was every cop car in Miami. Yeah. It's crazy. A section of a plane blows out mid-air. Did you guys see all that? Oh, this is the one. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:13:21 Crazy. Okay, so let's play this audio. Ray, what's the audio of? Is it like somebody that was on it, right? Yep. Okay, here we go. It was about as wide as a refrigerator and about as high as two-thirds
Starting point is 01:13:31 of a refrigerator in height. There was a really loud bang towards the left ear of the plane and a whooshy noise and all the air masks drop. I just kind of sit there's not anything I have any control over. And it's just wait and see what happened.
Starting point is 01:13:45 It's a huge hole on the side of the plane. So KPTV has a story in Alaska Airlines flight was forced to make an emergency landing at Portland International Airport on Friday after a large section of the aircraft blew out in mid-air.
Starting point is 01:13:58 One passenger they talked to at the airport said that a kid had to be held in a seat by his mom and people lost their phones. But here's what we did learn. People don't get sucked out of the plane because there's a crack in the plane. But they did say those two seats
Starting point is 01:14:09 were empty and luckily they were or else they had been sucked out. No, I'm talking about the whole plane. In movies, everybody gets sucked out. Also, what are the odds? Those are the two empty seats. Phones did get sucked out. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 01:14:22 So, yeah, I know. I don't know. I know. And how do those phones stay together when they get down to the ground? Did they? They said they found them near Portland. Oh, they did find them? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:14:32 That's great. I mean, I guess if they fell together. They stayed together? The new Apple parachute, yeah. It comes out. The gorilla, like. glass on it really stick together. It's a huge hole. It's like the refrigerator on the side of a plane.
Starting point is 01:14:45 So like, I don't know this. It's the exit door that blew off or how does a huge hole just blow off? So it has to do with the plane, the making of the plane more than it does. Okay. The airline, because they've grounded a bunch of those type of planes. It's a type of plane. I don't know what it is. There's some kind of like bowing C, jumpy jump. Yeah, yeah. O-Niner.
Starting point is 01:15:07 And those people sound so calm. Like, no, you just were up in the air and part of your plane blew off. I don't think you're freaking out when you land. You're probably freaking out while it's not. But I think you get down and you go, oh, my God, I feel so fortunate than I'm down on the ground. Like, when I jumped out of an airplane, I hated it. And when I was up in the air, I was falling, I hated it. But when I landed, I was like, oh, thank you God.
Starting point is 01:15:29 So, yeah, that's crazy. It's a huge hole. But everybody didn't get sucked out like the movies. Did they say how high they were? Do we know that? I think 16,000 feet. I don't know if it was legal there. 60, 16?
Starting point is 01:15:38 Oh, 16. Okay, see, but when you're skydiving, you're wide open and you're at 13,000 feet. I don't understand what you're saying. The door's wide open. When you're skydiving, you're not getting sucked out. True. I know, that's what I'm saying. I know, but I was seeing how high it was, like 16.
Starting point is 01:15:52 I just wonder if it was at, you know, 40,000 feet would it be different. Do you see the guy that got naked and jumped in the Bass Pro Shop aquarium? No. He did, and I watched the video. Did you see it? Awesome. No. It's pretty funny.
Starting point is 01:16:05 Totally naked. Oh, 100%. A man crashed his car outside of Bass Pro Shop. in Alabama stripped down, got naked and plunged into the giant aquarium. The ordeal happened Thursday night in front of shoppers. The 42-year-old Alabama man did a cannibal leap into the aquarium and then stood under a waterfall. He left the water to yell at two officers, then dove back into the aquarium. He eventually climbed over the side.
Starting point is 01:16:25 He faces several charges, including public lewdness, disorderly conduct, criminal mischief. He was in the water for about five minutes before officers arrived. I mean, you know, I'm telling you, listen. The worst thing about this isn't for him. The worst thing about this isn't that we're laughing at him jumping in the pond. The worst thing is he's butt naked. It looks like his wieners in any. Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:16:47 No. Stop. It's not good. The comments online are pretty funny. Oh, no. It's like a button. Stop. I can't.
Starting point is 01:16:58 Maybe the water is cold. It doesn't matter. Because he's like holding onto the front glass, like kicking his legs. Oh, wow. What I would imagine is he was on something or under the influence of something because he did crash and then jumped in. Or you just hit a breaking point. Because anybody that's sane that has that little, but he didn't get naked in front of people.
Starting point is 01:17:18 Oh, stop. You don't see him to get naked in front of people. You know what I mean? I'm not nobody got hurt when he crashed into it. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's why we can make the jokes. Yeah. Yeah. Wow.
Starting point is 01:17:25 A man is sentenced to prison for pointing lasers at multiple planes as they were landing. A 41-year-old Washington state man who aimed a laser pointer at two planes in November's been sentenced to prison. 41? Yeah, I was thinking you were going to say 18. Yeah, come on guy. KOMO. Christopher Harris was arrested for two counts of aiming a laser pointer at an aircraft and has been in custody since his bond was revoked. He was sentenced to eight months in prison and three years of supervised release with intensive addiction and mental health treatment following the prison sentence. So this guy, something's got to be up with him more than just shooting the laser pointer.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Because you're going to put somebody in jail jail, a long time jail for, because that is bad, but nothing bad happened from it. Like the plane didn't crash or anything. But he pointed a blue laser at the cockpit of a two-person personal aircraft. the laser beam, it says damage the pilot's eyes. Oh, that's tough. If you guys have like eye surgery? No, I mean, is this like somebody that grabs their neck after a car wreck, even though their neck's not hurt?
Starting point is 01:18:22 So we had a story about this and maybe this was it back in November or something. I just remember talking to Ben about it and he was like, yeah, it's a real serious thing. I'm sure, it is a real serious thing. Yeah. No doubt about it. And I'm not saying that it's not serious and people should be punished. but it seems like with our overcrowding of prisons, you could do something else
Starting point is 01:18:39 instead of stick him in prison. Oh, yeah. I mean, but somehow he needs to suffer. Oh, wow. Okay. He could have caused. Yeah, you want to show him the lasers in his eyes? They look lamey over here.
Starting point is 01:18:51 Holy crap. No, no. Take off driving, kid. Get the lasers ready. No, I hear it. Yes, he should be punished. Lots of community service, like lots of, you know, cleaning up at the airport or something.
Starting point is 01:19:03 I don't, maybe he shouldn't be allowed in airplanes, though. But, you know, he's 41. and he needs to make better decisions than that, and he could have caused people harm. Killers of the Flower Moon will be available to stream this week on Apple TV Plus. It's free now, right, Mike? Yes.
Starting point is 01:19:16 So, hey, Mike, that movie is so long, but it's so good. What would you suggest to people when they see that it's three and a half hour runtime, but they can now watch it for free if they had the service? This is a movie you could break up in 45-minute increments. Treat it like a miniseries. And what I'll do, if I'm binging a show, I may watch their four episodes all back-to-back and spend four hours doing it, but I won't watch four-hour movie straight.
Starting point is 01:19:38 But with the show, I have the choice to not continue. Yeah, yeah, you just pretend, yeah. It's like six episodes, 30-minute episodes. So I just finished like one hour of it, then I go pee, and then come back. I'll watch another episode, but it's all the same movie. Yeah, I can't wait. I've been waiting. It's good.
Starting point is 01:19:57 It's really good, but you're not going to like, you already know how America was. Oh, yeah, no, I mean, I think it's going to probably bring up a lot of feelings. feelings and frustration and be like, ugh, but I'm interested in it. I wish I would have read the book, but now I've just been waiting for the movie. It's real good. DiCaprio is really good in it. Apple's now sending $92 payments to iPhone users affected by their battery gate throttling. So they lost a whole controversy, $500 million, and they have to pay people who filed the claim.
Starting point is 01:20:28 Anybody get $9.2? No. I never hop in those claims. I've tried. The lawsuit accused Apple of consumer fraud by slowing down the performance of iPhones as their batteries aged. In response, Apple issued a formal apology, reduced the price for battery replacements,
Starting point is 01:20:40 and provided users with the option to turn off this feature. Why don't we turn off at our battery? I don't even know this was an option. Right. What the heck? That's from 9 to 5 Mac. You can turn off the option
Starting point is 01:20:52 that your battery dies quicker. That's like the guy who invented the car that runs on water and he was murdered. Wait, what? Didn't know that. Wait, whoa. You're telling me the gasoline people murdered him? I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:21:03 I'm not telling you that. I'm just saying. What in the world? I'm Googling. What? Water? Car. Like steam water.
Starting point is 01:21:11 And then all of a sudden he ended up dead. Whoa. When was this? Not today. I love that answer. So he, well, let me look it up. Circle back. I'll circle back.
Starting point is 01:21:24 By the way, playoffs coming up. The NFL's final 14 are set and Wildcar weekend coming up. So we have the Browns at the Houston Texans, the Dolphins at the Kansas City Chiefs, the Steelers at the Buffalo Bills, the Packers, at the Dallas Cowboys, the Rams at the Detroit Lions, and the Eagles at the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Where are the Saints? They just missed.
Starting point is 01:21:43 Not there. Oh my gosh. They just missed. So, yeah. They're at home. That's pretty funny. Thanks. Good job on that one.
Starting point is 01:21:53 That was a good one. Best television series, the Golden Globes, went to Succession. Drama. So good. Best television series, musical or comedy, went to The Bear. That's the cooking chef? Chef. Chef.
Starting point is 01:22:05 Best performance by an actor in a television series. Went to Kieran Culkin in succession. Yeah, he's good, not. Then Jeremy Allen White for the Bear won. Best Actor in a musical comedy. Oppenheimer, Best Motion Picture Drama. That's cool. Best Picture of Musical Comedy, Poor Things.
Starting point is 01:22:20 I didn't see that. All right, well, that's enough. All right, and I'm going to find out about this thing or if I made the whole story up by the water. I don't think I did. Well, I mean... It just came up from a head. I mean, those two big things.
Starting point is 01:22:30 A car runs off water and somebody got murdered. Let me do a little research here. You never know. All right, but hold on. Okay. guy's name is Stanley Meyer. He apparently invented a car that could run off of water in 96. When he climbed to have invented it, he died 98. Now, everybody assumed because he had invented something that could run off of what we have plenty of that yet a lot of folks were upset because
Starting point is 01:22:57 they need us to buy oil. And he died again in 98, but they say he died of a brain aneurysm. Oh. Interesting. Oh, boy. Is that like all those Putin people that jump out of buildings. Oh yeah, he died because he jumped out of a building, cutting him. It's like the seventh one to do that. So, again, it's a conspiracy theory. But apparently he invented something that could run off of water, water steam. So no one ran with it, huh? They just kind of disappeared. Then he just died. Oh, boy. What is there a documentary about this or a book? I'm intrigued. Well, everybody that tried to make the documentary died.
Starting point is 01:23:41 Oh, no. I don't know that. That's not true. That's not true. But I knew I wasn't making that up. But, you know, people are like, he died of an aneurys, brain aneurysm. But that's how you... Okay, but based on what he found, nobody else...
Starting point is 01:23:53 The fuel cell reportedly worked by breaking down the water into hydrogen and oxygen and using the hydrogen to power the car. He claimed that during his broadcast, his fuel cell could run on rainwater, well water, city water, or ocean water. Wow. Even ocean water. That's impressive. I guess they... All I'm saying is, it's awfully, awfully, awfully funny. Fish emoji that he died that quickly after he supposedly invented.
Starting point is 01:24:17 That's what I'm saying. I'm going to play a song, get out of here. Maybe other people know how to recreate what he did. I just died right there. Amy was talking over me. Maybe he died. I was doing my bit about dying in the middle of the segment. And he was like, no, no, no, what if?
Starting point is 01:24:30 Well, because I'm like, are other people just too scared to like recreate and put it out there? because if he was able to do it over the last, you know, however many years, I guess, but I don't know. That's all I'm saying. Okay. I don't know anything else about it. I knew when that story came up, I knew enough to say only that part, but then I researched it. And then there you have it.
Starting point is 01:24:52 All right. Nate Smith, World on Fire. Bobby going show. Call us if you want. We got some room for you. 877-77-77-26-229. Thank you guys for hanging out with us. We really appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:25:06 I don't know what it's called, but my wife and I watched an episode of the show where this guy goes to something called Blue Zones. And these people are all living over 100. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. It's like the places on earth where the people are the healthiest. And they live the longest. And maybe the healthiest isn't the word. Do they just live the longest? He's trying to figure out why.
Starting point is 01:25:22 And he went to Okinawa, Japan. And what was really interesting is it's called Live to 100 Secrets of the Blue Zones. What was interesting was they don't have furniture in their houses, like it's culturally, at least in Okinawa. And so as you get older, you constantly have to, you sit on a little thing, but you have to always work your core and getting up and down. And one of the things here in the States, what happens is people die, old people like, because they fall. They break something.
Starting point is 01:25:48 Oh, because their core isn't as strong. And it's little things like that. Because in their culture, they don't have furniture, and they always have to keep their core engaged in using it even as they're getting old because they have to get up and down. They don't have recliners? No, he was like they have no lazy boys here. Because that's where my grandma. Crazy. I know. It was little things like that and they have a
Starting point is 01:26:06 a purple sweet potato that is tsunami proof because they're on an island, but it stays under the ground so they never lose it and it's like really rich and awkward. But that's the one thing they have a lot of and because it's under the ground, it can't be destroyed by the weather. Wow. So a lot and they're very mental health aware. They have a lot of group activity, a lot of friends. It's very very important to them to always be with a lot of people.
Starting point is 01:26:36 Super cool. I don't know if I'll watch another episode like today, but I was intrigued by the no furniture and how that makes sense, how they are stronger inside because they always have to get up and down. That's good news for Amy. What?
Starting point is 01:26:49 Because they're at the furniture, so it should be... Morgan, did you watch you are what you eat on Netflix? Yes, I did. Similar-ish? What is that? No, so they do a study of 22 twins, and basically one twin has to be on a plant-based diet and one has to be on an omnivore diet eating meat.
Starting point is 01:27:07 And they study. Wow, they had 22 sets of twins. Yeah, all doing this. That's so interesting. Okay, I started this, but I didn't finish it. Did you finish it? Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 01:27:15 It's kind of slow at the beginning, but like it's just really interesting what they figure out and the things that they figured out from each diet and what's important for you to do as you get older. What were your takeaways from it? That I don't want to eat anything besides plants, literally.
Starting point is 01:27:29 But you already only eat plants. I mean, mostly, but I still. So you watch something to only confirm what you felt. I watched this show about how awesome it is to eat meat. Right. No, so like... It's called barbecue wars. The plant-based diets were really important in like helping with aging backwards. Basically the whole point was to see, can you change your genes with diet?
Starting point is 01:27:50 And basically living a little bit more, not eating so much meat really benefited a lot of people. So the person who ate the plant of the twins ended up better, healthier? Yes. As far as like they're aging, they're much. Micro bone, like whatever these, all these different stats that they looked into. Microbome, bone, bromes. Microbiome? Yeah, there it is. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:28:12 So the whole part, it's built around epigenetics and that theory that like some people think, oh, well, because my parents were this way, I'm going to be this way or whatever. And twins have the, we've been taught that. Well, true, yes. But twins have the closest DNA as possible. It's better to study them than you and me to see what will actually happen. and if you can change your genetics, change your future, your outcome. And yeah, I am fascinated by it, but I do feel similar to you, Bobby,
Starting point is 01:28:42 and that we could watch one that was put on by someone promoting meat. Let us associate you put this one. And then we'd be like, oh, okay, eating meat might be better. I feel like you can kind of read books or watch stuff or anything. Absolutely. I think everybody, and you'll know that you'll agree with this, all of our bodies are so different. and it's probably better to eat plants, honestly.
Starting point is 01:29:03 Well, so that's what they were figuring out too, is like that they've said everybody's body is so different. So basically they put these twins. Yes, which is great. They sent them food for four weeks and then made them make food for four weeks to really see like in real life what this can look like. And that's why it was so interesting. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:19 A plant-based diet for sure would be so much healthier than what we're doing now. However, you know, it's hard to get protein unless, you're eating meat. There are ways to get protein. So they had a trainer on who's only eaten like a vegan diet his whole life and he was like, no, you can actually get protein in so many other ways. Oh, I agree. And you just got to go find it though.
Starting point is 01:29:41 It's not easy for us here in America because we don't really value the plant-based diet. You've got to go like to the back corner section. It feels like you're in the alleyway at the grocery store. Like, hey man, you got to plant protein. Let me get him because of my plant protein. And they talked about why it's hard to find that. Like they really went into it. They had all these very specific people who knew what they were talking about, that's also why it was interesting.
Starting point is 01:30:03 Would you recommend it? Yeah. Yeah, very much so. That's cool. It's also much because yeah, I could get swayed that way. And then when I interviewed Dr. Mark Hyman, who's very into the body and stopping aging it biologically, you know, because chronologically you can't change that. But he told me because I'm over 40 for my muscle and to retain it, I told him I was using a plant-based protein, powdered protein to get more of it. And he was like, no, no, no, no. You need to be doing a grass way, which is coming from a cow. And so I'm like, well, shoot, who do we listen to, you know? Nobody. That's how I live my life.
Starting point is 01:30:35 I do it my own way. I do it my own freaking way. They did say that grass fed is better. Really, what was the problem with me is the way it's produced now. So grass fed is actually really, can be really good for you. You go kill your own and eat it raw right there. A plus. All right, thank you. A wife's birthday was this past weekend.
Starting point is 01:30:54 It was Friday, actually. And so we did a whole big dinner for her and all. all of our friends. And you can see the video. It's up on her Instagram. I guess I could put it on mine. But it's like an accidental tradition now four years in row. One of my best friends, one of our best friends is Brett Eldridge.
Starting point is 01:31:09 And he sings Oklahoma. That they, uh, oh, what a beautiful morning. That's awesome. How many times have you heard him sing that song to her? Four. Have you? Yeah. So it's up.
Starting point is 01:31:21 And I believe, yeah. I mean, he's going every time. The guy could just sing whatever he wanted whenever he wanted it. And he doesn't really want to do it. want to do it, but now it's become an accidental tradition to where I'm like, you have to. So it's up. I'll post it on mine or something, but we did that. And then I put her through a scavenger hunt for her birthday, which my wife, more than getting her something nice, she just likes effort, which is weird. I'd rather have something nice. But okay, hey, you know, we're all different. My love
Starting point is 01:31:48 language is gifts, though. So if she wants something nice, I'm going to knock it out with a presentation and a nice gift because I do love her, and I put in a couple months of time in getting this thing organized here. And so I set up a scavenger hunt to find her present at the house, her birthday gift. And so I'm like, okay, and so I reached out to a lot of people in the Oklahoma world of the Oklahoma Sooners. So the first person, when she gets a video, she finds an iPad that I've hidden, and this is the message she hears. Hey, Caitlin, it's Toby Rowland, voice of the Sooners. Attention Sooner Nation. I've got something to say. Unhitch the wagon and put it. the ponies in the barn today is katelyn's birthday and it's time to start the search for your birthday gift so
Starting point is 01:32:37 it's a longer than that we cut it down for this so then he gives her a clue and she goes finds it then i give her a clue and i think this is me giving her a clue the next clue i flew on a plane with you two and i only want to be with you find the clue there is the dearest the dearest i want these guitars i don't know So this is an iPad? Okay. So it's a guitar that Darius had signed for me forever ago I've kept. And under it, I had hidden another box with an iPad in it. So she opens the iPad and then this message.
Starting point is 01:33:11 Hey, Caitlin, happy birthday. This is Porter Moser, the basketball coach at OU. I know you loved watching us be Bobby's Razorbacks. Yep. But now, I need you to go look in the back of your car. Boomer sooner. So then she's going. There's nothing, but then she has to lift up that thing where the spare tire is.
Starting point is 01:33:30 It's because I have it all positioned. So she finds that and there's an iPad there. And then this message is on there. Hello, Caitlin, Bob Stoops here saying, happy birthday to you. I hope you enjoy your family and Bobby as well. But if there's one thing I'm good at, it's drawing up place. So go to your Christmas tree. Say boomer sooner four times and your next clue will appear.
Starting point is 01:33:53 By the way, I'm a big fan of Bobby. So boomer sooner. You can make him say that. So Bob Stoops is like one of the greatest coaches in the history of college football. Not the coach there anymore, but she loves him. One national championships, right? Yeah. So then she goes to the Christmas tree, which is still up, which is okay.
Starting point is 01:34:09 It's January. Yeah. Mine's up, right? And then she says it, and then I just kick a box out. There was no secret contraption or anything. And then she opens that, and it's the legendary coach, Barry Switzer, who's like in his 80s, who won national championships. I want to wish you happy birthday. and boomer sooner for me.
Starting point is 01:34:27 And, you know, I was a coach here a long time ago. And obviously, you weren't around. Maybe your folks weren't even around. But my job is to tell you something. It will give you the final clue to find your gift. They want you to go to the place in the house. You hate the most. There you will find something you will hopefully love.
Starting point is 01:34:47 And so she was like, the place I hate the most. Oh, that's easy. Your PlayStation. So she goes up to the PlayStation and opens it and under it is her gift. And she opens in, it's all, it's there. Wow, that's awesome. I was glad that we could pull it off. Me and all my OU cronies.
Starting point is 01:35:02 Yeah, and that you made it a scavenger hunt around the house. For whatever reason, when you first were talking about this, I was picturing you making her go around in the cold outside of the city. Oh, no, it's too cold. I thought about even the yard, but I was like, it's wintertime. No, no, this is perfect. But it's pretty cool. But what was the gift?
Starting point is 01:35:20 It was a bag. Like a, like a, like a, like a. Like a handbag. Got it. Okay. Of. I was like, Of what?
Starting point is 01:35:28 Candies. Chocolate? A bag of. So we did that and had a birthday dinner and I did the gift of three. Meaning I got her something. I took her to pick out something and then her friends got her something, which is at the dinner that we threw that night. So we did that. And then we just hung out and watched a bunch of shows.
Starting point is 01:35:50 Is the gift of three a thing? I don't know. It is for me. I just made it up. But that sucks. that Christmas and then her birthday. I mean, that's just terrible. That's why I really try to make a big deal about it
Starting point is 01:35:59 because she says that. Like her whole life, when it's her birthday, people are like tired from New Year's. They were not in school yet. Like, broke because they spent all their money at Christmas. So I try to like. So you go light on Christmas, then boom it on her birthday. I don't go light on Christmas.
Starting point is 01:36:17 Well, it's hard. It's better than me. But giftsgiving, he likes gift. Gift giving. That's my love language for sure. But Christmas. Birthday, Valentine's Day. Oh, really close together.
Starting point is 01:36:28 When Valentine's day's over, I'm just like, oh, my God. I mean, but that, you went so hard there with that. But I go hard every year. I know, but Valentine's Day is what, like, what are you? Yeah, when you go so hard, you're going to run out, man. Maybe. And you said that bar so high, they expect it every time. But that's okay.
Starting point is 01:36:43 I hope her expectation of me is to be surprised and to be shown love. I hope that, because that keeps the pressure, the good pressure on me. So many husbands are listening right now and they're like, I hope my wife is not listening. You just like set the bar. I'm tough to be married to. Oh, that is true. You don't have to agree so quickly.
Starting point is 01:37:07 So, because I'm just a ball in neurosis and I work all the time. And if other husbands probably are a little more mentally stable. And if all I can. Good encouragement for them. Yes. Good job. Yes. But she loves effort.
Starting point is 01:37:23 And I worked on that. Even like the painting out of her for Christmas of us. That's our favorite picture in Paris. I had hired somebody to paint it for us. I had to do that like three or four months prior. That is all she cares about is effort. How many iPads do you have? That's what my question is too.
Starting point is 01:37:38 It's like, oh, there was another iPad. There's another iPad. I was like. The golf simulator I have at the house, they used them. I just took them off of that and put the things on there. Oh, cool. I didn't go buy new iPads. They were part of the simulator.
Starting point is 01:37:49 Are you borrowed? All right. Thank you. Ray, you want to do a song or no? Yeah. All right, hit it. All right, here's Jelly Roll, Lainey Wilson. Save me.
Starting point is 01:37:58 Bobby Bone Show. Call us if you want. 877, 77 Bobby. Bobby Bone Show. Boney up the day. This story comes us from Clarkston, Washington. A 19-year-old girl celebrating her birthday. She's driving when she gets pulled over for expired registration on her car.
Starting point is 01:38:17 And they come up to the car and she's acting a little nervous. They're like, oh, excuse me, ma'am, can I see your driver's license? and she slaps the cop's hands goes, no, you can't? And he's like, please don't hit me. She goes, no, hits him again. And they take her out of the car and she has drugs and other paraphernalia
Starting point is 01:38:37 on her. You act like other paraphernalia is worse than the drugs. But like and other. Pipes. Yeah, but I'm saying, you're acting like the other paraphernalia is worse than the drugs.
Starting point is 01:38:50 The drugs is the worst. Yeah. Yeah, that's the hardest. Yeah, you're probably right. He's like, she murdered seven people and let's just say she might have sped off over the speed. Over 65. But why would you, I mean, they were just going to give her a ticket for the registration, but then she slapped his hand a couple times. She's probably on drugs or other paraphernalia.
Starting point is 01:39:12 Yeah. Okay, thank you. I'm Blunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. All right, here's the voicemail we got last night. Hey, Bobby, good morning. Happy New Year. Hey, I have a scam alert.

I've been receiving a lot of text messages lately that say that the United States Postal Service package has arrived, but it can't be delivered due to incomplete address information. And then it says to confirm your address in the link that's attached. The Postal Service confirms that this is a scam, and they're just there to get your personal information. So be careful out there. That's a great voice message. that we can hear and know because I, that's something I'd fall for.
