Starting point is 00:08:53 Thank you, thank you. Coming through in the clutch there. Okay, it's now time to read today's edition of The Mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. Last week, we were having a garage sale,
Starting point is 00:09:10 and a neighbor said he heard we had a great backyard and asked if he could take a peek. The sale was busy. So my husband said, hey, just go back and look. We have sliding glass of doors that go from the garage to the back. backyard. My husband had the door open with the screen door. The guy didn't see the screen door and just plowed through and broke it. It came off track and everything. We talked to the company that put the door in and said it would cost $300 to fix the screen. We don't know what to do. Do we ask the guy for the money to fix it? Even though he's our neighbor, we don't really know him that
Starting point is 00:09:37 well. What do we do? Ask him for money or let it go. P.S. He was aware that he broke it because he and his wife came and apologized to my husband after it happened and showed him that it was broken. I'm on team. Let it go. My husband is on team. team have him pay. Thanks so much, Bailey. You want to go first? I mean, if they're not, oh, this is so awkward. I hope, I wish for your sake that maybe one day he just comes over and offers to pay for it. Or he's like, hey, how much is that door? I broke it. But I guess since he hasn't done that, I would be team let it go. Because I don't want to make my neighbor feel awkward.
Starting point is 00:10:12 Yeah, he's not going to do that if he hasn't already done it because he's addressed it already. That's the first, I would think if it were me, as soon as it happened, I'd be like, oh, I'm so sorry. You got to let me pay for this. I broke it. That's not going to happen here. I can tell. I'm still hopeful. But you would be on team let it go?
Starting point is 00:10:27 Yeah, I have a team let it go. Lunchbox? Oh, you broke it, you buy it. Listen, you broke my screen door. If I go into a store and I break a vase, I got to buy it. So I'm going to his door. Where are you shopping for Vegas, bruh? Interesting.
Starting point is 00:10:38 Well, and sometimes the store might be like, okay, just leave. It's like, you're good. No, you go into some stores, it says, like an antique shop, it says, but you want in the antique shops? You've never been in one. But antique shops different because they only have one. You know when he goes antiquing on the weekends? Like, for example, yesterday when I went antiquing.
Starting point is 00:10:54 I saw a Marie Antoinette dresser, and I knocked something off of it. I broke it, I bought it. You get an invoice from that company. You march down to his door and say, a bill, pay. Here's your bill. Let's go. Okay, Bill. Hey, Bill, here's your bill.
Starting point is 00:11:10 What do you think? I would let it go. I kind of don't like that about me sometimes. If it's a screen door. and I said, hey, go, I would let it go. Yeah. I hate that he didn't offer to pay at the beginning. If it were a car or something significant, it would be different.
Starting point is 00:11:30 But a screen door, I'd probably let go. Eddie? Dude, there's nothing you can do about it. You got to let it go. I mean, he broke it. He didn't offer to pay. It's a loss. I hate saying that.
Starting point is 00:11:40 And accidents do happen. And hopefully, at some point in my life, whenever I have an accident, maybe I don't realize I broke something, somebody's going, hey, let's not bother them. Let's just pay for it. And, like, I do think that stuff kind of happened. in life. You take care of people. People take care of you. You don't even realize it sometimes who's been taking care of you. So under that umbrella, I go, I'm just going to pay for it. That's what I'm saying. Yeah. Now, question for lunchbox. If you broke it, you pay for it, right?
Starting point is 00:12:04 So do you get to take the door? Like, is it yours once you pay for it? Well, yeah, you can have the broken door. Okay. Why would I want it? Good point. Okay. Maybe it sells the antique shop. You go through. Okay. So we voted three to one. Just let it be. Let it be We got your email And we let it on your hair Now it's about to close Bobby's mail bag
Starting point is 00:12:27 Yeah How was a dentist? It was amazing Because I got laughing gas For the first time Yeah I get it every time Oh well he I don't know
Starting point is 00:12:36 He was having to do some stuff Where he needed a num-n-n-up And he thought He's like Hey also last time My jaw was open for a little bit And it was really I wasn't relaxed
Starting point is 00:12:43 So it hurt So he's like How about I give you a little Whatever up your nose And then it'll be It'll help you relax. And I was like, okay. And I went in there, honestly, like a little bit stressed out in the moment for my other stuff.
Starting point is 00:12:57 And, man, I'll tell you what. Tell me what, girl. That is the best I have felt in nine months. Not going to lie, I have to go back today for something totally different. I don't think he's going to get her hair done. Hey, can I get some laughing gas? I don't think he's going to end up needing to do that. But I might be like, you know, my jaw's a little tight.
Starting point is 00:13:17 I have such a fear of needles that when I go now, my dentist knows, you gotta gas them. Every time. And it just relaxes me. I've never been drunk, obviously. And I don't smoke anything. So I don't know that feeling. But man, when you get lit up on laughing gas, lit up. How long
Starting point is 00:13:33 does it last? They have to hit me pretty hard. See, I don't know that I got hit hard because mine wore off I was able to drive. Usually I have to hang around for half hour or so after. I have no tolerance for the stuff. So it's like, and then he's like, Dennis like, we can't let you leave right now. So I have to go sit in the lobby and just be like,
Starting point is 00:13:49 You're hitting on everyone in there. Hey. You ever seen a tooth like this? But it's pretty crazy, huh? Yeah, no, it is crazy. I always get embarrassed because I start telling dumb stuff. I start laughing and I want to act like I'm not being affected by it. And then I start talking and I'm like, oh, I'm trying.
Starting point is 00:14:06 But they have a weird way of knowing what you're saying, even though they have your mouth all messed up. Yeah, because they're probably used to having to figure it out all this time. So what did you do after the dentist? Well, then I had a choir concert for my daughter, but, Half my mouth was numb and I decided to drink water for whatever reason and they were in the middle of a song and the water. I don't know. I was trying to be extra cautious because I couldn't feel the bottle on my mouth.
Starting point is 00:14:31 And then it went. I don't know. Somehow I started choking and I was coughing so loud. Like I thought I was going to have to get up and leave the room. I thought this might be it. This is how I'm going to go out. I'm going to die at the concert choking on water because then you're trying to like really be quiet about your choking because you're.
Starting point is 00:14:49 They're in the middle of her performance and everyone else is being quiet. So all those things just made it so much worse. But I survived. I'm here now. Did they look at you? Like, hey, lady, what's going on here? People are wrong. Yeah, for sure.
Starting point is 00:15:00 They were like, what is it wrong with that girl? Let me get to start. Your mouth was so numb. You were pouring water in so you couldn't really gauge what the water was. Then you start choking in the middle of your daughter singing. Yes. Mm-hmm. Yeah, all of that happened.
Starting point is 00:15:11 And then I was that person in the middle of the performance. Like, it was at a church. Quiet. Everyone's sitting there watching them sing. And then, So anyway, that was my dentist's moment. What's happening with your mouth? I just had some issues where I have to get some stuff replaced and done,
Starting point is 00:15:29 and it just was, it's very, very, very uncomfortable. My bite, I've been grinding and my teeth crack. Like, it just hasn't been a good situation. Probably because it wasn't always wearing my mouth guard. Super hot, I know. I got a mouthguard like three times. I wear it for like a couple weeks and I lose it. And then I don't go back for another one.
Starting point is 00:15:46 All my back teeth, I grind to cracks as well. they have tiny cracks in them. Yeah. Apparently I sleep and I go, I just grind. Yep. You know? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 00:15:54 No, my, he, like my jaw area, like my, I went to a different, my dermatologist type person, and she was like, your, your jaws are looking really big. And she, working them out.
Starting point is 00:16:08 Yes, and they are like a muscle when you grind them and you work out. They can get bigger and smaller. So she's like, you need to relax that a little bit and they'll go back down, but she noticed some more definition in my jaw line for my grinding.
Starting point is 00:16:20 I wonder if you went to the gym. If some of those, you know, workout guys come up to me like, hey, nice jaw. Yeah. Damn, that jaw looks good. You want any supplements for that jaw line? Yeah. No, for me, it's not the part I want to grow, so I'm trying to calm it down. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:16:35 With Bobby. Tell me something good. All right, so she works at a lottery counter and a guy comes up and goes, all right, I want to buy some tickets. He says, I want to pick. And he picked his first two numbers. And then he said, hey, you that works the counter, why don't you pick your favorite two numbers? So she did that, and boom, he hit.
Starting point is 00:16:54 And so he hit for a thousand of bucks and then gave her $2,000 as a tip. Nice. For picking those numbers. It wasn't like a million dollar jackpot or anything. But he definitely didn't have to give her a $2,000 tip. Heck, he could have just left him. She'd never known, right?
Starting point is 00:17:07 Yeah, but if she hadn't picked those two numbers, then he wouldn't want. I agree. I'm not on the side of don't give money. I'm just saying he had every opportunity to not do it, yet he still did, which is pretty awesome. which I have a feeling that some of us in the room would have done this. Let's be honest.
Starting point is 00:17:22 You win $20,000. Totally would pay her. If she gave you two of the numbers. Yeah. You'd give her a couple thousand? Yeah, or maybe even half. Whoa! Half.
Starting point is 00:17:32 If you give half, then you're not getting half back. Yeah, that's not right. Because taxes are taking out of big. Well, after taxes, she gets half. Okay. Oh, my God. You're crazy. Why am I crazy?
Starting point is 00:17:39 I don't know that I would do half because she didn't put her money up. She just threw a couple numbers at me. But I would definitely break her off a couple thousand bucks for sure. Okay, I didn't think about putting the money up, but okay. Yeah, Eddie? Yeah, I'll break off 1,000 for each number she gave me. What you really? Are you just saying?
Starting point is 00:17:54 No, 100%. I have a feeling you wouldn't do it. Why not, bones? I don't know. 20,000 is a lot of money. But you're not going to get 20. You're going to get like 13? 13,000.
Starting point is 00:18:02 She gets two. I get 11. We all win. Great. I have a feeling you wouldn't do that, though. Okay. Lunchbox? No chance.
Starting point is 00:18:07 I would give her a thank you card. Maybe we can take a picture together and be like, what a great story. We could be on the news, but she's not getting any of my money. she just does it. She just threw out two random numbers as she's working the counter. She didn't put up any of her money. Without her, though, he wouldn't have won a one. Without me, I went to one because I bought the ticket.
Starting point is 00:18:23 And I'm not going to see her and trying to make myself look good, Eddie. Well, Eddie, look at me in the eyes. I just want to be honest. Let's say that because of her, she gives you a couple numbers and you have $13,000. Yes. Do you give her $2,000? $2,000. Max.
Starting point is 00:18:35 You remember we were playing bingo and I told someone, hey, we win, I split it with you? What did I do? I split it with them. Yeah, but that was like $300. Well, still. And you'd already won $12. You know what? I take back the fact that I said that. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:18:47 I have a feeling in real life situation you wouldn't do it. But if you say so, I agree. Hey, just give me that chance. Give me that chance to show you. All right, so shout out to Shirley Rose, who picked out the numbers and the anonymous guy who won thousands of dollars. And heck, three out of the four of us for being good people. There you go. You know what, it's hypothetical.
Starting point is 00:19:06 I give her all of it. Okay. Yeah. I'll see. What a great guy. It's hypothetical. Why not? It costs me anything to hypothetically give her all the money.

Ramundo said once he got married, his credit score improved over 100 points. That true?
Starting point is 00:23:31 Yeah, my wife got on the financials and she absolutely killed it. I stopped gambling all together. and she taught me that you actually was supposed to save your paycheck, and not just try and spend it every time. Okay. Well, there's also other things as well. I was able to write some of my credit cards, and they can actually drop late fees that you've had because they report that to credit agencies,
Starting point is 00:23:51 and so you can write them a letter, which I did, do about five different credit cards, and a couple of them did actually take off those demerits, is what they're called, and they just removed them all together. So my credit score ended up being about over 100 points within five months. So Ramundo's an audio producer, got married. How long have been married now? Five months, yeah, since the marriage.
Starting point is 00:24:08 And so she whipped you into shape. Yeah, absolutely. Just one summer, boom. Look at me now. What was your credit score? I was touching upper fours. Is that bad? Is that bad? As an adult man in his mid-30s.
Starting point is 00:24:24 What's good? Six, 700. Right? Wouldn't you say? I think, yeah, 700 something. Pull up the scale of credit scores, Mike. And we can just actually, if you ask me, what I say. I've been, because I've been broke my whole life, I've only ever paid cash for stuff
Starting point is 00:24:41 and just had crappy stuff. And so my credit's always been great because I never took out credit cards. I was just scared to always owe people. Smart. And my meters off a little bit because I always thought 700 was like A plus. Is it 800? Mm-hmm. So bad is 300 to 629. And Ray was in that mix. It wasn't 300. It was middle of bad. But Fair is 630 to 689. Oh, that's a small window to be fair, man. Come on. Well, good is 690 to 719. Jeez.
Starting point is 00:25:15 And then excellent is 720 to 850. Do you know yours? No, I don't know how to look. Type your social into Google. Seriously? No, don't do it. No, don't do that. But you were in 400s.
Starting point is 00:25:26 I can't imagine you would get any credit card for any sort of decent rate. I just never knew that it affected it if you didn't pay stuff on time. I just let a lot of stuff just go. I wasn't feeling like paying. so I didn't pay it. Why'd you have five credit cards? Just using them. Then I didn't have to use. I mean, why not have five credit cards? If they allow me to have credit limits, why not take another one out?
Starting point is 00:25:47 That's exactly how people get in trouble. Why not? And they're, man, why you got five credit cards? Heck, man, why not? What is they say? Well, I just also, too, since Ray's showing, he knows a lot about numbers. You've been married, I think like eight months. I just don't want you to miss your anniversary. Thanks, girl. Good call, Amy. Yeah, I got you.
Starting point is 00:26:06 All right, Ray, thanks for that PSA, though. You can write, Ray says you can write the credit cards, a letter. Like, dear. But how do you do that? Just explain that you're trying to get a house. You're trying to get a good mortgage. So you're saying, hey, will you please remove some of those late demerits that I had on my account? And they will.
Starting point is 00:26:23 Like an email or actual handwritten note? It can't be handwritten. Well, not that. Okay. Oh, boy. So you get your quill. You dip it in ink. Okay, Ray.
Starting point is 00:26:35 Thank you, buddy. Yeah, yeah. On the phone now is Glena and Nevada. Hopefully you can win yourself a prize here. You're up for grabs a $100 cash gift card courtesy of our friends at Hyundai. What would you do with $100 in cash right now? I probably would spend it on my family. Love that.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Hey, what a great answer. Yeah, that's nice. We're rooting for you. Anything else we've been pulling against you, but we love that answer. All right, Glenness, so the game is called. Never going to get it. It's a really hard trivia question. You'll get a chance to answer it.
Starting point is 00:27:09 then I'll tell you what, you can pick if anyone on the show gets it right or wrong, okay? All right, here we go. According to a new survey of 2,000 women, this is the most important thing to bring home from a vacation. What is it? I'll ask one more time, according to a new survey of 2,000 women, this is the most important thing to bring home from a vacation. What is it? All right, Glenn, you're up first. If you answer it right, you just want the prize.
Starting point is 00:27:42 the end. What do you think it is? Um, do photos count? Sure, that'd be an answer, photos. We go with that as an answer? Yes. According to a new survey of 2,000 women, this is the most important thing to bring home from a vacation. The answer is not photos.
Starting point is 00:27:59 Oh, it's not, okay. Did you have that? I did have pictures, yes. So here's what we're gonna do this round, Glena. We have five players here. You can guess if the whole, if anyone on the panel gets it right, or do you think all of them are gonna miss it? So either one of them gets it.
Starting point is 00:28:14 it or you want a prize. Amy, Lunchbox, Eddie, Morgan number 2, Ramondo, do you think if any of them get it right, you get the prize? If all them miss it, you can also select that and win the prize. That's kind of a tough one. I thought I would go with Amy, but I think I'm going to say they're all going to miss it.
Starting point is 00:28:31 Okay, I like that. I'm not clapping for that. And no one else wanted to, but I did, and everybody just kind of jumps out. I appreciate that support. She's cheering against us. Okay, so she thinks no one will get it right. I love it. Let's go to Raimundo, who is our audio producer. He sits in a glass room.
Starting point is 00:28:47 He's recently married. Ramundo, there were 2,000 women surveyed. They say this is the most important thing to bring home from a vacation. A souvenir t-shirt. Okay? Souvener t-shirt. That is incorrect. Did you have that, Eddie?
Starting point is 00:29:05 I had a t-shirt, too. So, if you even had just said souvenir? I have the answer on the page. Morgan, what do you have? Well, whenever I go somewhere, I always bring back a bottle of alcohol from that place. So, bottle of alcohol. Morgan is our head of digital. She does social media.
Starting point is 00:29:23 She does web. She says bottle of alcohol. That is incorrect. All right, Glenn, we have three people left. Let's go to lunchbox. Yeah, it's easy, guys. Happy memories. What is that?
Starting point is 00:29:39 It's memories. No, you make great times on your vacation. It's happy memories. Memories. If that's it, that's funny. That's what it is. You guys are thinking tangible things. These are experiences you come on when you have memories to talk about. So great stories and memories on your vacation. That's what everybody wants. You don't want a souvenir.
Starting point is 00:29:57 You don't care about pictures. You want to have memories and stories. Boom. And I won. She lost. Give me the $100. I don't think that's it. I'll tell you. We'll come back to lunchbox. Yeah. Just kidding. He lost. I have two that I'm doing. Hold on. Eddie. Yeah, so I did originally have shirts and pictures, but now my final answer. My mom used to collect these. She wanted them from every city we went to. Give me shot glass.
Starting point is 00:30:24 Oh, I don't know the answer. According to a new survey of 2,000 women. No, we do not want a shot glass. A shot glass with a city on it. Is it a shot glass? No. Okay. About a shot glass? Amy, what are the two you're talking through?
Starting point is 00:30:42 Okay, mine both have to do with the body. One of them is you want to come back with a tan, maybe, depending on where you go. That's pretty good. Okay. Also, I was debating with you maybe want to come back with a baby in your belly. What? No one wants to come back either darker or pregnant. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:03 Depending on where you are. So that's why I'm leaning more towards the tan because it's more general for everybody, because not everybody's, you know, wants a baby. What about people that go skiing? I know. That's also something that I'm debating. Like, it might not be that because you may not go somewhere where you're laying out. According to a new survey of 2,000 women, this is the most important thing to bring home from a vacation.
Starting point is 00:31:26 What is it? I am going to say a tan. Ooh, I would have gotten baby. Because I had tan in my mind, but then I thought about the people that don't go to the beach. But then you went with memory. Yeah. Amy went with tan. How do you think that?
Starting point is 00:31:41 goes, Glenn, you think she gets it or no? I don't think so. Oh, come on. I'll give you the opportunity, Glena, to change your mind where you can pick Amy and if she gets it right, you win. Do either mine count, baby or tan? No, just tan. That's why you picked. Everybody gets one one shot. I still am
Starting point is 00:31:57 going with no. Okay. If it's tan, I'm going to be so disappointed. According to a new survey of 2,000 women, the most important thing to bring home from a vacation is a tan. Amen! My goodness. She's got three of the last four. Glennah, I'm so sorry you did not win. That's quite all right.
Starting point is 00:32:17 I tried to give you every opportunity to swing back around. I wanted to give you more and more chances. I appreciate it. I even got to play because that wasn't actually what I was calling for. Well, look at that. A prize for Glennon. I tell you what, though, we can get her some crap from the back, which is always a great consolation prize.
Starting point is 00:32:34 And it also cleans out my office a little bit. We love that, don't we? Here's Amy's pile of stories. So there's now an app called Nu Nu that lets you charge people to make choices for you. Or they can even pay you to make a decision for them. Either way you want to spin it. But I feel like this is amazing. You can put up whatever you want, like from what you should eat for lunch or who you should go on a date with.
Starting point is 00:32:59 Or whatever you need advice on, whatever gets the most votes, that's what you can go with. So if you're like, I'm thinking about lunch, I'm either going to go to Sonic or Chick-fil-A. You put it up in the most votes. You have to do it. And you can charge people. Like people will pay to help make your decisions for you. I mean, and I think it can be big life stuff, which I would love for someone to make some decisions for me. That's what I tell.
Starting point is 00:33:22 When I'm in therapy, I'm like, can you just make this decision for me? And she's always like, unfortunately, I cannot. Ray, why don't you get on this? You're hustling cameo? Sure. I mean, that sounds like an awesome app. Do I pay? But I guess I don't understand the pay thing.
Starting point is 00:33:37 It can go either way. If you're the one doing the decisions, people can pay to make your decisions for you. Yeah. It says here, in bold, it is also a way for influencers to monetize what they do. You can charge for specific things or silly things, Ray, but yeah. But you have to actually do it. It's basically choose your own adventure and they do it for you. You have to offer some good adventures.
Starting point is 00:33:59 Then that's what I'm going to do. Like, should I jump into the pile of acid or eat a cookie? It has to be like that. Except for then you have to commit to jumping in the acid if that's what they're going for. That's right. But you'll make the money. I know, I'm down with that. Should I stay on the Bobby Bone Show or should I sleep in today?
Starting point is 00:34:14 Boom, you people vote. Yeah, if you can figure out to get on that ad, I would pay it to be a part of that. It's called Nunu and there's cool things like a writer might charge $20 to name a character after you in their next short story. And then you can pay it and be in a story. Well, that sounds like you're just paying somebody to do work. Okay. See what you can find out. All right.
Starting point is 00:34:35 What's next? Okay. So I want to see what you think about this dad's. cell phone rules because he completely embarrassed his teen daughter when she had a friend spend the night. So in their household, which I think this is very normal, I don't think it's anything weird, but his kids are 17, 15, and 8. And for those that have phones in the home, they may not be in their bedroom alone with the phones or the bathroom or anything like that. And when it comes time for bedtime, they turn the phones into the parents and the parents charge it in their room and then
Starting point is 00:35:01 they get it back the next day. While a teenager was spinning the night and they were like, hey, this is the cell phone rules. if you have a phone, you have to hand it over to us at the end of the night because we can't just have phones in the room alone. If it's the house rule, it's the house rule. Boom. Yeah, well, the one kid didn't, the parents called the kids' parents and said, these are our rules and those parents are like, okay, cool, she'll have to abide by them.
Starting point is 00:35:26 But when it came down to it, she didn't want to give up her phone, so she called her parents to come pick her up. That I also get, but the house rule is the house rule. But then the dad just didn't know how, because like his daughter's obviously embarrassed because now at school, it's like, can't even spend the night over there because it takes up the phone. Well, you can, but you have to give up your phone. I'm okay with that, yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:45 Everybody's roles are different for different reasons. And since we're talking about cell phones, I did read a headline too that more and more people are kind of getting rid of their smartphone and getting a phone where it's less addictive, where they can literally just make the phone calls. But I'm like, how do you do all the other things? Exactly. I need to have that stuff that I'm addicted to.
Starting point is 00:36:05 Yes, and? And lastly, George Strait is related to Jeff Bezos. How? Well, like, 90-second cousin? No, uh-uh. It's like second cousins. Or Bubba Strait and Jeff Bezos are like second cousins or something, which Bubba's George's son.
Starting point is 00:36:21 I wonder if George can be like, hey, Jeff, man, I hate to bother you. I know family, right? Can I get a couple billion? That was Amy's pile of stories. It's time for the good news. With Amy. There's a dog and a pig and their best friends and their names, Timone and Bumba. Oh, like Lion King.
Starting point is 00:36:45 Yeah, and get this, they're not going to have worries for the rest of their days. Okay, Kuna Matata. Because an Arizona animal shelter made sure that they were placed in a home together forever. Did they name them after they were already friends? I think once they got to the shelter, they formed a friendship. They realized, oh, wow, this dog and this pig, they're really getting along. they named them, and then when it came time for an adoption, they made sure that it went to a home that would take both of them.
Starting point is 00:37:13 So that way they weren't separated. I'd take both of them. If I was going looking for a single dog and it's like, I can't take more than one dog, I'd still take the pig. Because that would be awesome. Yes. Yes. So shout out to Mone and Pumba.
Starting point is 00:37:25 Yeah. And then shout out to Better Piggies rescue. Because that's who decided to adopt the pig. And they were like, okay, yeah, we'll take the dog. I'll do it the opposite. Yeah. That I would have done. So in the real Timon and Pumboomba.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Pumba. One is a warthog? Yeah, that's Pumba. And then what's Timoan in real life? He's a, I believe, a mere cat. A mirror cat. Yeah. Oh, okay. They're awesome.
Starting point is 00:37:47 I've never seen Lion King. What? Oh, it's so good. Yeah, okay. I believe you. All right, that's what's up. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.

Explain that to somebody who doesn't know what live photo is.
Starting point is 00:41:46 Well, it takes it right away, but it kind of catches the movement maybe a little bit before or after the picture's taken, so you have different frames you can choose from. Like iPhone will pick, we think this is the best frame you should go with, but if you want to slide it to the right or to the left, you can maybe get a different frame. And sometimes there's like a solid second of movement. Yeah, like the lives are fun to watch sometimes. A woman posted a video because her boyfriend was in a hotel and sent her a picture of an empty bed. It was like, I miss you.
Starting point is 00:42:15 But he accidentally sent her a live photo. And at the very end of a live photo, you see another girl. Oh. She'll show up. Yeah, she watched the whole frame. And she's like, the other girl, like, randomly jumps into the bed at the very last second. Like, thinking the picture's been taken, which it probably had, but the live frame picked her up. that live photo got him
Starting point is 00:42:33 yeah a woman named serena posted the video saying yeah my boyfriend sent me a photo of an empty bed in a hotel room and saying hey he misses me but once you press down because that's when you kind of see it live photo some random woman jumps onto the bed you know when someone sends you a live photo it's almost like you're watching something
Starting point is 00:42:49 you're not supposed to like you see the start of like all right uh we're getting a huge picture and then you get to see all that creepy yeah no like live pictures are like I got one from my like my cousins the other day and they're all like, all right, we're taking a picture. And then it stopped.
Starting point is 00:43:03 And it was like, oh, weird. It's like I feel like I didn't want to see that. But you don't think you were supposed to see that? I mean, it's just, it didn't surprise me that this guy got busted that way. To clarify, you can't hear things. The way Eddie told the story. Yeah, you can. In a live photo?
Starting point is 00:43:15 It's like a video for like a second. You can hear things in a live photo? Turn your ball in you mug. Are you sure? Me-Mall. Oh my gosh. I saw it yesterday. Really?
Starting point is 00:43:24 Okay. Yeah. Me-Mil. I didn't know. I thought it was like a picture. It is, but it also there's audio too. day. There you go. Let's go over to Amy and get the morning corny.
Starting point is 00:43:37 The morning corny. Where do you take someone who has been injured in a peekaboo accident? Where do you take someone who has been injured in a peekaboo accident? The ICU. That was hilarious. Pretty good. That was a good one. That was the morning corny. That was
Starting point is 00:43:55 a good one. There's a trend on TikTok where if you put mustard on top of a watermelon, it's supposedly really good and people haven't done this, right? They're like, you should do it, it's brand new. Here is the video. Watermelon and yellow mustard, trust me on this. It is so good. Grab yourself a juicy watermelon, cut that baby up.
Starting point is 00:44:14 Juicy. Get yourself some French's yellow mustard. It has to be French's. Pour that sucker on and cheers. It's so tangy, it's so vinegory, and it matches so well with the watermelon sweet, juiceness. Trust me, this is so good. He's trying to sell it too much for me to believe it. French's got to be Frenches.
Starting point is 00:44:36 So I have the wheel here. There it is. We'll spin it, and there's a whole, you have to eat the whole piece over there. They're all cut into squares, you gotta eat the whole square, okay? Okay, so if it lands on your name, you lose? That's it. Oh, no. If it lands on your name, you eat the watermelon, mustard.
Starting point is 00:44:53 Huh? Here we go. Let's spin that wheel. Oh my God. I do not want mustard. I do not like mustard. Come on. Is it land on us?
Starting point is 00:45:05 Oh, no. Morgan number two. Didn't she lose the other one too? Yeah. And it ended up being good. She said it was like a, the durian. Yeah, the world's stinkiest fruit. All right, Morgan.
Starting point is 00:45:17 If you'll walk up to that microphone. He promised it was good in that clip. Yes, he did. He said just. And we got French's mustard. It has to be French's. Yeah. A bit.
Starting point is 00:45:28 One big square. She's picking one up. I'll eat the big one. There she is. Go for it. It's all the way in her mouth. It's juicy, like he said. She's chewing it.
Starting point is 00:45:42 She's about to lay it down. Okay, it's really good. What? Let me try it. Because to me, I didn't mind. Wait, but you didn't lose the spin. But this was the only one that I didn't mind if it landed on me and it didn't land on me. Yeah, it has a perfect mixture of like the tangy and the sweet.
Starting point is 00:45:58 Like he said, like it goes really oddly well together. Maybe this guy's telling the truth. He didn't sound that believable. Okay. It's good, huh? Yeah, it's good. You got a lot of mustard on that one. Do you like it?
Starting point is 00:46:10 It's pretty good. Really? Oh! Actually, I love mustard. And I like watermelon. It works, huh? Yeah, it tastes like it's sweet and salty, and then it has like the kick of the little twang.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Tang. Whatever. The tang. It's pretty good. I guess I'll try one a little bit. See? Not everything's a lie. Yeah, all right, TikTok. You're going to walk it around.
Starting point is 00:46:31 Come on, give me one. I don't like mustard. I mean, I don't like mustard either, but I'm intrigued. Thank you. Guys. Go ahead. This is not bad. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:46:44 It's almost like you taste the mustard. You're like, ooh, this is going to be too much. But then the watermelon just cancels that mustard out. Watermelon mustard. Hi. Watermelon mustard. So I think we've all settled that it's actually pretty good. Thoughts, Amy?
Starting point is 00:47:02 I feel like a restaurant could add that to their appetizer menu and charge a lot of money and be like, this delicacy. All right, there we have it. Okay. It wasn't that gross. It was pretty good. No, it's pretty good. When you look at Amy yourself and your husband, and I'll compare Caitlin and myself, who is more attractive physically? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:21 Oh, well, I'll answer. She is. Caitlin's far more attractive than I am. Yeah. A new UGov poll reveals 47% of Americans feel they and their partner are equally as attractive. Now, I do not feel we're equally extractive. I do feel like I am ugly and she is pretty. That's correct. Eddie, you and your wife?
Starting point is 00:47:35 Oh, my wife, for sure. I'm not good looking at all. I would agree with that too, and I think we're funny. Yeah. And because we're funny, we are able to play up hotter people. I agree. 100%. Yeah, see, now I'm curious what Caitlin and your wife would say, because I was sitting here thinking, I don't know, we're equal.
Starting point is 00:47:52 So I feel like, both the guys here are like, oh, yeah, married up, married up. My husband would better say that. I mean, your husband's a good looking, though, Amy. Hey, good looking dude. Yeah, I think you guys are pretty equal, though. What do you say? Yeah, if I had to pick one, yeah, I'd go equal. But Amy, what would you say about Caitlin and I?
Starting point is 00:48:07 Be honest. Yeah. Be honest. Okay. I'm ready to be hurt. Come on, I'm ready to be hurt. It's not being hurt. Come on.
Starting point is 00:48:15 You already said it. Hit me with it. She's, you marry. How do you say it? She's hotter. You can say it. You're marrying up. Overall, 25% of people think their partner is more attractive than them.
Starting point is 00:48:28 I'm one of those. Eddie's one of those. Sure. Only 14% of people think they are more attractive than their partner. I would imagine, I'm just speculating here, lunchbox, do you feel like when you and your wife are looked at that you're... Everybody sees me as the better looking in the couple. Yes, when they see us walking together, anywhere together out to dinner,
Starting point is 00:48:47 they're like, dang, that dude's better looking than his wife. Absolutely. I mean, my wife's hot, but she's not as hot as me. Where do you put you on the scale of one to ten? He didn't even let you finish. Okay. No hesitation. And then she's a...
Starting point is 00:49:01 Probably seven and a half, eight. You think you're a ten... I just don't think a ten exists. I've often said ten is that the mark we set that no one can get to and you compare it to it. Ooh, Brad Pitt. Because nothing's perfect, because nothing's perfect, right? Right.
Starting point is 00:49:14 You think you're a ten, though? Yeah. I think people see me like, dang, that's the whole package. Do you find women just throwing themselves at you? All the time. All the time. Anywhere you go, women are looking like, dang, yeah. But is that them throwing themselves?
Starting point is 00:49:28 the other day I was at the grocery store and I was looking for Graham crackers just walking down the aisle and this girl's coming with her car. She's probably 21 and I moved to the left so she moves to the left and I moved to the right, she moves the right. That's called just trying to get out of the way of someone. That happens all the time. She was trying to do this like, oh I'm trying to get out of the way but I'm kind of
Starting point is 00:49:44 flirting with you like song and dance like we're dancing in the aisle and I'm like, you know girl I got two kids in the car, I got to go. You left him in the car while you went to get a grandmacher's my wife? My wife was in the garage. I got two kids a pregnant wife in the car. What do you think would have happened had you said, hey, how's it going? Oh, she would have given the number, no problem.
Starting point is 00:50:01 What? Absolutely. Dude, she doesn't song and dance three times left, right, left, right if she's not trying to get my attention. A 21-year-old? Yeah. That's not happening. So you find women are always looking for an opening to get in. Yes.
Starting point is 00:50:13 They always want to find a way to talk to me and hope that I'm open to their advances. Do you wear a wedding ring? No. You don't wear a wedding ring. No. Why? I'm just not used. I don't wear jewelry and things.
Starting point is 00:50:26 not comfortable. I mean, like, I'll wear one like to a big event, like if we're going somewhere, but no, on a normal day basis, never. We go out to dinner, no. And you think that's why women are just eyeballing? Yes. They're like, dang, that dude is available and he is a 10. Let's get with that. Let's get with that. Wow. Interesting. I never heard a girl say that before.
Starting point is 00:50:43 Let's get with that. You think you're like a piece of meat to them. Yes, and that's the problem is they see me as a piece of meat and they don't treat me like a human sometimes. Oh, dang. All right. Okay. Okay. I think we're good. I was reading a story about Garth Brooks and his song, The Thunder Rolls. Top 10 Garth Brooks song, first of all. What beats it, though, before I tell you the story, I think the river beats it.
Starting point is 00:51:06 Yes. Do you guys agree? Yes. Unanswered prayers. Yes. The dance. Yep. Okay.
Starting point is 00:51:25 You haven't said if tomorrow never comes, right? That's my favorite Garth Brooks song, but most people don't agree with me on that one. But it's still above Thunder Rolls. Yes, amazing. I agree with that. Okay. What else are we forgetting from Garth? Shameless?
Starting point is 00:51:40 What about much too young? No, I don't think much too young is better than Thunder Rolls. But I think Shameless is up there, Eddie, you don't? No, not shameless. Because I'm shameless. It's a jam. I think they're like similar. Huh, okay.
Starting point is 00:51:52 How about, hold on, I got one more. Papa loved mama Oh Great song I don't think It's over the Thunder Rolls Wow okay It sounds like we're agreeing
Starting point is 00:52:01 The Thunder Rolls is like Six or Seven Yeah Maybe I put it I mean what about What she's doing now Oh yeah
Starting point is 00:52:09 All are jams But not No way Okay well in my list It's above It's end of it Nope not our But we have a collective list
Starting point is 00:52:17 Like the coaches poll When we all vote on But here's the story So Garth Brooks wrote the song and it's a massive hit for him, obviously, but he wasn't the first person to record it. He wrote it, Tanya Tucker recorded it.
Starting point is 00:52:30 Am I right on that, Eddie? I think you're right. Do you remember it? Well, it's about her shooting her husband, but Tanya Tucker did record that verse. She later put it out as a box set, but because she didn't Garth, then cut it, and then it became what it is now.
Starting point is 00:52:44 I'm determined now to go home and make my Garth Brooks list of top 10 Garth Brooks songs. I think you guys should do that too. Come in tomorrow with your top 10 Garthbrook songs. Okay. I got on a list. Okay. Got it. Okay. There you go. That's your, your music fact of the day. I was shocked by that, and I love that she recorded the third verse. Let's go over to Anonymous, and they are calling from Florida. Anonymous, how are you? Good, man. How you doing? I'm doing pretty good. What can we, as a room, as a group of your friends, hopefully, help you with?
Starting point is 00:53:17 All right. Well, I got a little dilemma. My wife and I were talking the other night, and, and, And we've been together for five years, married for a little over two. And we got on the subject of children again. And whenever we first got together, we mutually agreed that we wanted a family. And now, almost five years later, she's saying that she doesn't know if she wants kids anymore. And I still want kids. And we've talked about it, you know, and I just don't know what to do, looking for some advice. So at the beginning of it, you wanted to have kids and now she may not.
Starting point is 00:53:56 You know, what I hear, though, first of all, she may not. She didn't say she does not, right? So I still think there's, that door still cracked a little bit. You know, if she said, no, I'm out. I think this is a slightly different conversation. Where do you think she really lies on this? Do you think she just doesn't want to and she's just kind of, you know, being cautious with your feelings here?
Starting point is 00:54:15 No. She's a very nervous kind of person, you know. the whole having a baby and being on, you know, things that could go wrong. She's that type of person. So she's always kind of nervous about stuff like that. And plus she's getting on up in age as I am. I mean, I say that. We're almost 40, but child barrenage.
Starting point is 00:54:38 So she's worrying about, you know, the things that could go wrong with having a child later in life. I mean, I don't think she's completely close to it, but I never thought she would, you know, give me this. she doesn't know if she wants kids anymore. Now, again, I'm also hearing she doesn't want kids. I'm hearing she's scared. It's not about not having kids. I'm hearing she's scared for herself, for the kids, for the complications, that it's not about the children, right?
Starting point is 00:55:10 You guys still with me? Yes. Yeah. And I think that's a good sign too. Because I think the key here is for her to get educated and not good or bad or right or wrong, but just to have the education on what actually is going to happen if she's 40 years old and she has kids. You know, it can be done.
Starting point is 00:55:23 And there are other ways except for just having kids out of your woo-woo. Mm-hmm. You know, Eddie's a testament to that and to have an actual biological children and then having foster kids. Of course. So you hear his story. What do you say to him? Yeah, I think you're right on that she, it does sound like she's more worried than
Starting point is 00:55:40 anything. And I think there's just something. And I don't know what he needs to do or how he's going to do it. But he just needs to reassure her that she can be okay, that it'll be okay, that there's nothing to worry about with having kids. And then find some stories or people that you know that have been through that situation that can help her feel a little more comfortable with wanting to move forward with having kids. But yeah, the alternative for being a foster parent is there. To me, I think that's great because then you have the sense of what it's like to have a kid.
Starting point is 00:56:09 And then maybe that can eventually, too, lead to adoption. So yeah. I think, again, education is the key here. I have people talk to her about what's going to happen to her if she does get pregnant of 40. And like Eddie said, people that have also been pregnant in their mid-30s all the way up. I mean, heck, I'm 41, but for me, I'm a guy. It's unfair, but I can let it rip for another 25, 30 years if I wanted to and have babies. Women aren't able to do that. And, again, it's completely unfair. So I also think it's you just reassuring her, too, that regardless of what happens.
Starting point is 00:56:42 Like, you are with her and you guys are doing this together. That's it. Amy, your thoughts? Well, I think I hear that there's probably, you said, she may not be just around this. She has anxious about other things in life. And so I would say if she could talk to someone about that stuff and get to the root of some of the fear that she has around anything, like what's causing her to be anxious and work through some of the root issues there. And then it may show her like, oh, I can do this.
Starting point is 00:57:13 So maybe just encouraging her to talk to someone or maybe a professional. a therapist if that's even possible. I know for some people it's not, but maybe it is for her because it sounds like there's something deeper that needs to get worked through. Yeah, I think the good news here, I think we're all on the same page.
Starting point is 00:57:27 The good news here doesn't sound like she hates kids and doesn't want to have kids straight up. It doesn't sound like I just don't want kids. It sounds like I am fearful of what could happen to me and us if we have kids. And I think that's easier to work through than I hate children,
Starting point is 00:57:44 especially if you want kids. And then if it does turn to that, then y'all both need to go see a therapist. I mean, because that's a huge thing. Like that is, yeah, to go do a 180 like that, that's going to be a lot. I just don't hear a 180. I don't hear her going at one point.
Starting point is 00:58:03 I want kids. Now I don't want kids. I hear her being a little more scared now and just needing someone. And we all need someone at times to put their arm around us or hold her hand and walk us through incredibly uncomfortable or scary situations.
Starting point is 00:58:14 And I think this is one of those instances where you've got to be completely supportive and you've got to proactively pursue some people, doctors, and make her feel as... Because it's never going to be easy. If you had a kid at 22, it ain't easy. That's right.
Starting point is 00:58:30 If you have a kid at 42, it ain't easy. Just for different reasons. You have a kid at 22, you're broke. You're like, how do we make this work? It's never easy. So it's never easy. That's why I never... I mean, I was scared to death to have a kid.
Starting point is 00:58:42 Until now, when I found the person, and I'm like, okay, I was scared of being put in the same cycle I was in. So I was like, I don't know. I want to have kids, but I never can see it happening until. But I now I'm like, all right, let's go. Like I feel good. So we are your biggest cheerleaders right now.
Starting point is 00:58:58 I wish I knew this person's name, Anonymous. We're your biggest cheerleaders. We think by listening to your story that there is a lot of growth that's going to happen here, but it's up to you to do the growing. You got to pursue this and not make her feel attacked or make her feel like she's less than or disappointing you. but also know that she's going through something. I think that's the key there.
Starting point is 00:59:20 All right? How you feel about that? I feel good, man. I appreciate it. And if she needs some double reassuring, I'll let her listen to the podcast and be like, look, Bobby said he's not an expert, but. It's true.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Right. We're not. Give him lunchbox and cell phone number. 2.10. No, no, no, no, no. No. No. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:59:37 All right. Hey, thank you for your call. We're rooting for you. We're rooting for both of you guys. Regardless of what happens with this, you know, I hope you guys go and you talk to somebody. You live happily ever after. You get help.
Starting point is 00:59:48 And I hope you have some kids, man. I appreciate that, man. Thanks for the advice. All right. See you later. Nice job, team. I think we just saved another couple of lives out there. Let's box, who did you call here?
Starting point is 00:59:58 I called a bakery at a grocery store because my kid had a birthday a couple weeks ago. And I was like, what kind of things will they allow you to write on a birthday cake? Will they put anything? And if I just go on and on and on, will they squeeze it on the birthday cake? Right. So here is Lunchbox calling his alter ego, Jason Gibble, asking him for a birthday cake for. Your wife? Yeah, my hot wife.
Starting point is 01:00:17 Here we go. Philly Bakery, how may I help you? Yes, ma'am. I was trying to get a cake for my smoking hot wife. I'm a businessman making a business deal, so I'm kind of running late to the birthday party, so I was hoping you could ride it, and then I swing in and grab it. I don't know. Give me an idea what you want.
Starting point is 01:00:34 Okay, you got a pen? I do. Okay. Got hips like honey, so thick and so sweet. It ain't no curves like hers on them downtown streets. body like a back road You know, I've heard this song But I can't write this all on a cake
Starting point is 01:00:51 You need a whole lot bigger cake I don't have that big cake No no This is what I wrote These are words from my heart Okay Did you write that down for me Got hips like honey
Starting point is 01:01:04 I got that far Okay It ain't no curves like hers On them downtown streets Body like a back road Driving with my eyes closed Love Jason I wrote, got hips like honey so thick and so sweet.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Ain't no curse like hers on them back downtown streets. Driving with my eyes closed, love Jason. Oh, no, no, no. You forgot body like a back road before driving with my eyes closed. Drive body like a back road, driving with my eyes closed. Okay, I wrote it. I mean, I'll try to see what I can fit on there, but I don't want you to be disappointed. Well, I appreciate it.
Starting point is 01:01:40 Take care. Bye, bye. Does she make the cake? No, no, no. She was just going to get one out. It was just a display, but she was like, I didn't know how it's going to fit it on there. Are she mad? No, no, she was happy.
Starting point is 01:01:51 She laughed. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. This story comes to us from Kentucky. A man wanted to see how fast his Mustang could go. He's got a yellow Mustang. So it goes out on the highway. He says, let's go, baby.
Starting point is 01:02:07 He says, woo! Gets it up to 143 miles an hour. Police try to pull him over. He's like, uh-uh. Keeps going. The only problem is he only had a quarter of a tank, so he ran out of gas pretty soon. Well, you would think if you're going to run from the cops, you look down and really evaluate the opportunity ahead of you. Going, okay, I think I can't outrun them.
Starting point is 01:02:27 But how far can't, if you have a quarter of a tank, you're not going to. Right. But sometimes even when you get to empty, you can go away. But a Mustang going 140, I imagine you burn through that empty tank pretty quick. Pretty quick. And it's, what color was it? Yellow. No way that's getting away.
Starting point is 01:02:41 I mean, yeah, you need a more discreet situation. All right. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead Story of the Day. All right. Here's the voicemail we got last night. This one's about Amy and a bird. Here you go.
Starting point is 01:02:51 This message is for Amy. I work for UPS and I, a package car driver and I found a little baby Blue Jay that had fallen out of the desk. Well, we raised him and when he was fully grown, he would still fly to us, come and land on your shoulders. And every time you'd leave in the car, he'd come and land on your windshield. So they're great to have around. I still have birds with me at home.
Starting point is 01:03:12 And they're a lot of fun. I can't even imagine. He's so lucky. I mean, the bird's lucky, too, because he saved the bird's life, but then they had a special bond. I love it. What's the goal with you in birds? I mean, shoulder would be awesome. Like you just get home from work and it lands on your shoulder and it's like, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet, tweet.
Starting point is 01:03:31 Yeah. That's exactly. Yes, I'm not joking. If a bird landed on your shoulder, you'd start running and swinging your arms, like, get off of me. No, I wouldn't. No, I wouldn't. I am looking at you dead in the face right now. I'd be like, hey.
Starting point is 01:03:43 If a bird just scared of you, or it just flew up from behind. No, now I'm ready for it. I have a different relationship with birds now. I'm worried. Why? It's like you've gone off the deep end a little bit. It is not the deep end.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Birds are beautiful. You know, sometimes people like marry bridges. Yes. They have a romantic relationship with a tire iron. Is that where we're headed? I think we're getting closer. Wait, what's wrong with this guy calling in talking about his experience with birds and how cool it is? Every day you have a new...
Starting point is 01:04:12 You didn't say he's marrying the Blue Jay. I don't know him. I can't look in his eyes and see it a little crazy. What's happening today? Amy, what's happening today? Well, I can tell you this. I'm going to spend some time with my birds. And then I have therapy.
Starting point is 01:04:27 I'm glad it's that order. Yeah, I'm glad it's that order. I think that's it. Have a great day. We will see you tomorrow. Bobby Bones is on. All right, if you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the drill.
