Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. What's up, everybody? We're back. Hope you guys had a good 4th of July, good break. Morning, studio. Morning. Okay, I want to go to Ramundo, our audio producer.
Starting point is 00:00:23 Ramundo, what was your pastor talking about? Yeah, so he's talking about heaven and hell. And I think about it. Classic pastor. Book of Revelation and seal of approvals and getting into heaven. And he said, what mark would people say you've made on society? And he just asked that question to everybody. So we challenged everybody at church to think about what mark.
Starting point is 00:00:41 They say they leave on society. That's a good question. So if I were to pitch that around the room, Amy, you want to go first? I mean, gosh, I'm not thinking society, but just in my... That counts. That's a small society. Yeah, my small society. Like, Ben and I adopting our kids, Stevenson and Stasheera, I think while our marriage didn't
Starting point is 00:00:59 work out, because it's something that crossed my mind all the time, like, oh, I can't believe that we didn't make it, can't believe you didn't make it, but something beautiful that came out of it was their lives and seeing them evolved into these humans. like my daughter's almost an adult. And her life, the trajectory of her life is totally different because we chose to adopt her at 11 from Haiti. And now she's going to be, she's looking at colleges and she's going to have opportunities. And so that's what first popped into my mind. I think mine would probably be how and where you're born doesn't have to be exactly how and where you die.
Starting point is 00:01:34 Meaning, you know, people come from all different places, all different socioeconomic, all different education. and some people have to start, and it's a little harder than others, and hopefully, like, people can take something away from my story, and listen, there weren't a lot of advantages, didn't have any money, not a good parental system,
Starting point is 00:01:55 my dad left, all those things that we talk about, but that it doesn't have to end to that way. You don't have to stay in a cycle because a cycle exists. You can actually break the cycle. It's going to be very hard to break the cycle, but you can do it and you can actually thrive regardless of what the people around you were doing or saying or what is kind of placed upon you by where you come from.
Starting point is 00:02:17 So I would say that. I think that it doesn't matter where you come from. It can matter where you come from, but it doesn't have to matter where you come from. It kind of is where you're going and where you get to. And I think that's probably my mark if you just show up. I saw a story where it's like, Jen, what's the Z? Is it Gen Z now?
Starting point is 00:02:34 There's so many Jens. Millennials. And then there's, no, Gen X is old. That's like, that's me. Morgan, what are you? I'm a millennial. Right on the cusp. But yeah, Gen Z is the one below me.
Starting point is 00:02:44 They're like five to ten minutes later is on time. And that's fine if you to think that. But you're never going to get ahead doing that. That's what I grew up thinking. But that's not even Gen Z then. That's just Eddie family. But it's like if you just do the fundamental, the small fundamental things right for a long period of time,
Starting point is 00:03:01 small fundamental things are going to do right for you. And so that's been my story. It's not like I have a great, a vast amount of talent, but I show up all the time, on time, with a good attitude. I control the things I can control. I share what my goals are. I don't think there's anything I can't do. So I would say that.
Starting point is 00:03:19 It doesn't have to matter where you come from. That would be Mount Mark, probably. Lunchbox? Oh, I've brought so much happiness to so many people in this world. Like every day, every morning I come to work, I put people in a good mood. People have had hard times in their lives, and they've tuned into this show to hear me say something that has got them through so much. and we meet people all the time that tell us that
Starting point is 00:03:40 that, oh my gosh, without you guys ought to been lost, this, that. You just shifted from guys though, from just you to guys. Well, it's mainly me. Okay, God, I want to make sure. And so, yeah, I've made a difference in so many people's lives, and that's what I would say is my mark on society. People look at me and like, I want to be that dude.
Starting point is 00:03:57 Wow. Women want you? Women want me? I mean, oh, and I've, yes, I've had more mark on a lot of women. Oh, God. Oh, my God. What? Eddie, you want to wrap this up?
Starting point is 00:04:07 Yeah, well, mine want to be you. doesn't really compare to lunchbox, but, you know, we opened up our house to being a foster home. That was kind of cool. My wife and I did that. We ended up fostering two kids, ended up adopting them so now they're part of our family forever. And I think that's a big deal. And different from the way I grew up, like, I'm a present dad. Like, and I'm kind of with my kids all the time. My dad, I never saw my dad. He was always working. He was really like rarely at home. And with me, I make it a huge effort to be there all the time. My parents, with my kids, I don't miss any of their games, most of their games, if I'm in town.
Starting point is 00:04:39 But like, I try my best to just stay present and being a really, really good dad. It's a good question, Ray. We didn't talk about heaven or hell. We just talked about life. You know what? I'm kind of like Eddie. I adopted two dogs. There we go.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I'm kind of like Eddie. I adopted a bunch of goobers in this room. You got us. Not you, Amy. Yeah. Thanks. Yeah, not you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:58 I'm just thinking, like, what we are contributing. And, no, no, mind. So you can start crying. That's okay. You're okay. No. It is interesting, our own little things that we have going on. And Eddie, probably people have fostered because of you. I hope so. That's cool.
Starting point is 00:05:15 And lunchbox women probably have told many a story about you. Oh, plenty of women who said, man, I hooked up with that. The legend of lunchbox. For sure. Let's start the show. You send an email and we read it on the air. It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:31 We get this email a lot. I don't read it very often, but every once in a while I have to address it just so people can hear are feelings about this email. Hello, Bobby Bonds. Lunchbox is such a self-centered individual. He detracts from the good things that your show and other hosts do. I love the show. I enjoy listening to it every day, but my question for you is,
Starting point is 00:05:50 why do you continue to keep him on the show? Signed. Lose the lunchbox. Hey, Mike, you run the mailbag. Mike gets thousands of them every week. This happens a lot, right? Number one complaint we get is about lunchbox. Which is, that's okay.
Starting point is 00:06:05 I mean, that's, we understand that. We got some soft sallies out there. Would you like to defend yourself before we answer it? I don't really understand what the email is upset about, about me having my personality just because they don't like my personality. That's fine. I don't like soft sensitive sallies that, you know, can't take criticism or the truth or, you know,
Starting point is 00:06:26 not everything is rainbows and I'm not going to paint everything as rainbows. But you want that. A cliches. He's just one cliche after the other. It's non-stop cliches. If you want everything's rainbows, go watch. reading rainbow and that will be oh everything's happy or Bob Ross.
Starting point is 00:06:39 And that's not on him anymore. Anyway, here's the thing. You're not positive Polly. I love the show. My question for you is why do you continue to keep him on the show? I mean, that's a good question. So that's a you question. Yes. No, it's an easy question. The reason that lunchbox stays on the show is because
Starting point is 00:06:53 I'm good at it. People like him. Yeah. People also don't like him. But he has his moments where he's funny. He has some moments where we want to kill him. But we like him. Yeah. And generally, he's a good person. to be very obnoxious. Yes, but he was a bad person.
Starting point is 00:07:07 He wouldn't be on the show. Nobody would be on the show. I wouldn't have anybody here that was a bad person. And if you ever turned bad, I will fire you. We'll remember that. Thank you. So everybody is free to be who they are. You may not like Lunchbox, but you may like, let's say you love Amy.
Starting point is 00:07:24 There are people that really don't love Amy and love lunch. You know, there's kind of somebody for everybody. But what about the whole positive side of it? Like, oh, he brings down. I do understand. I do understand that, but I think he weighs, he is entertaining enough that that makes up for the fact that he brings down a lot of what we try to do as a show. But the whole world is not positive. No one's claiming it is.
Starting point is 00:07:50 Goodness. But the reason that we try to be positive is because the whole world's not positive. That's why, that's actually the reason we try to be. I do tell me something good. Yeah. So I would say we keep him on because he's an entertaining guy. He's a good dude. is he obnoxious? Yes, but I am too.
Starting point is 00:08:06 And I'm good looking. We need clicks on the website. Get those numbers out. Not it. You're random and funny. Yeah. It's like lots of things. It's so unexpected. There are lots of things. But if anybody on the show was actually a bad person, they wouldn't be on the show anymore. We had a couple of bad people. They're not here anymore. Remember Duke? Oh, man. Duke didn't last long. He pushed out all 80 down. He was out of here. I fired him the next day. That's terrible, man.
Starting point is 00:08:27 Yeah. So we're not going to lose the lunchbox. At least not today. we're reevaluating again tomorrow Yeah Thank you for the email Close it up We got your email And we read it on the air Now it's about the clothes
Starting point is 00:08:41 Bobby's mail tag Yeah Lunchbox's got a one-on-one with Walker Hayes Yeah one-on-one Exclusive So no one else has it? No one No one has this
Starting point is 00:08:51 I thought he was doing a bunch of interviews He got a charity golf turn night He didn't answer these questions With those people Oh but that's not one exclusive interview is It's not They only answered
Starting point is 00:09:00 Your specific question It means you're the only one who got it. That would be an exclusive question. Oh. Yeah. So it's not an exclusive interview? Correct. Because other people at the same event got interviews.
Starting point is 00:09:12 Oh, so like when someone gets out of jail, like Martha Stewart. And it's a one-on-one. She's only giving one interview. That's an exclusive interview. Ah. Okay. Well, then this was non-exclusive interview. It was exclusive questions.
Starting point is 00:09:24 So no one else was allowed to ask the questions? Because that would be why it would be exclusive. No, he's just the only one that's thought of that. No, no. I just put the word out. Let's just get to it. How long is the clip? Ray, how long is the clip?
Starting point is 00:09:33 A minute. Oh. It was just me and him one-on-one. Yeah, yeah. Like, I grabbed him randomly on the golf course when he was trying to tee off. Walker Hayes has a... Oh, gosh. She's trying to tee off.
Starting point is 00:09:43 Fancy like, Applebee's on a date night. Yeah. Okay, here we go. Walker Hayes invitational. Doug, Doug, classic. Yeah, okay. Annual. Yeah, we're an exclusive interview.
Starting point is 00:09:52 We're going to do three questions with Walker Hayes here. Oh, my gosh. Yeah, I know you're supposed to be golfing. I'm bothering you, but let's go. What's the weirdest thing about Walker Hayes? I'm a counter. Like I know I can't sleep in an odd number hotel room and I count every single thing every day. Steps upstairs, drinks, chips, every bite.
Starting point is 00:10:14 I know the number. Seriously. So is it a little bit of OCD? It might be. I've never seen a therapist about it. But yeah, I never do anything odd numbers. Very interesting. A, fact number one about Walker Hale.
Starting point is 00:10:27 Summer vacation. Where are you taking the family this summer? I'm taking them to work, bro. They're coming, they come on the road with us. No fun will be had. They just go to work. And last but not least, what's the hardest thing about being Walker Hayes? That's pretty easy, man. I don't think anything's hard about being Walker Hayes, so I'm good. That's a good answer. That's a fun answer.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Yeah, I like that. Hey, what was the drama, Morgan, at the end of this tournament? Because one of your friends saw lunchbox there. Yeah, everybody always thinks I'm kidding when I come on here. I'm like, Lunchbox took 12 of one of these things. Well, a friend of mine witnessed him doing this in real life that I was not lying or making anything up. And he was taking, there was hats there. And apparently, you know, just like every time you go to an event, you take one thing to take home with you.
Starting point is 00:11:12 Well, there was different colors of the hats. So Lunchbox took every single color of the hat at this charity golf tournament. He doesn't wear hats, though. I do wear. Why did you take all the hats? No, no. No, not gifts. there was a blue hat, a gray hat.
Starting point is 00:11:28 Okay, Dr. Seuss. And a white hat. And it was this company, like Little River Clothing Company. And it was like his. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That's what I'm saying. It had like American flag.
Starting point is 00:11:39 And it was like golf club. Why did you take all of them? I couldn't decide on which color I wanted. And so they had three sitting there. And they're like, oh, just to it. And I was like, man, I don't know if I want the gray or the blue. I'll put that white looks pretty good. Are you doing this out loud?
Starting point is 00:11:54 And hoping they say just take all three? 100%. I said it out loud. They're like, well, you can take more than one? I'm like, are you sure? They're like, yeah. I'll take a blue and a gray. But man, that white one looks pretty good, man.
Starting point is 00:12:04 And they're like, well, take a white one too then. I'm like, I mean, if you insist. And so I took all three. Is that what you heard? Something similar, yes. But I don't know that the people were as agreeable about it. It was more that they didn't know what else to do. And they just kind of let him.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Sure would like that blue one. Right. And so when I golf, I wear a hat. And so now I have a variety of which one to wear. Hey, Abby. It's a blue day, a white day, a gray day. I want to bring Abby up because this is a similar-ish type story because that was at the Walker Ace tournament where lunchbox took everything.
Starting point is 00:12:36 Abby, what did you see that kind of contradicted how he lives his life? Yeah, all of this is hilarious because he blew up when somebody else did something similar on the show. Like, so they brought in Raising Cain's food, like a whole two trays of chicken, fries, Coleslaw and all that. And everybody was eating it after the show. Like everyone was in there but Ray and lunchbox because they were doing sore losers.
Starting point is 00:12:58 So they came in after and like there wasn't much left. Much left. There was two chicken tenders. Well, that's on you guys though. No, no, it's not. Okay, go ahead, Abby. Well, you can see what he's doing right now. He freaked out.
Starting point is 00:13:09 He freaked out. He went. Yes. I mean, I got part of it on my phone. Yes. Yeah. But I didn't get all of it because Eddie did take some home for his kids. So he got upset that Eddie.
Starting point is 00:13:21 took stuff home to his kids. Yes. And I did it knowing that they were doing their podcast and he's going to get out and only see two chicken strips and now understand how it feels to be the person that gets taking advantage of. And he does take a bunch of stuff even from here and people are like where is like the coffee? Where is?
Starting point is 00:13:37 Yes. Every time. Every event I've been with him, he takes something home. Go ahead, lunchbox. Yes, but I wait until everybody has theirs. I usually take the leftovers that are going to be thrown away and I'm like, it's not going to go to waste. Those hats are going to be thrown away? No, we're not talking the hats. Oh, my bad. My bet. But we're talking the food.
Starting point is 00:13:53 Like if it's going to be thrown away, I'm like, oh, give me a to go box. I'll take that for the family. I can take that for the family. I would never go at the beginning. What about St. Jude when you took all the backpack? That was at the end. But again, those aren't going to waste. They'll just use them again for another event.
Starting point is 00:14:05 They have to go pay more money to make more for different events. I don't think. I've never seen another event where St. Jude's been giving away backpack. How many events do you go? I've been a lot of St. Jude events. Okay. But I'm just saying, like, Eddie should have waited until everybody had gotten their servings and then you take it for your family. I waited. Everyone that was in the room, ate.
Starting point is 00:14:23 And then whatever was... And you don't even know if they're going to come eat it. No, we do. Because we were given about six emails and we said, yeah, we'll be there. Morgan even stopped by the podcast. And I said, yeah, we'll be in there when we're done with the podcast. So everybody knew we were coming and eat. If there's free food, you know I'm coming in there to get it.
Starting point is 00:14:38 And steal it. Now, I didn't say steal it, but this dude, oh, feed his family and everybody acts like it's okay. No, I think we would say something if it was to anybody else but you who does this to everybody else. I mean, poor Ray. Did you eat, Ray? I had a piece. Yeah. One chicken tender.
Starting point is 00:14:54 Yeah. That's more, I mean, you didn't pay for it. It's free. I left you guys lemonade and an iced tea. Yeah. You want the audio of lunch flipping out? Oh, man, it makes me feel uncomfortable. Come on play.
Starting point is 00:15:02 No, we don't need to play. Okay, go ahead. Do you need more? Okay. Petty took it for his fucking damn. They brought more coldslaw than they did chew. No, they brought two things of chicken. They brought two things.
Starting point is 00:15:18 And he took a try. Yeah, he took a try. Listen, listen to how he talks. Drop an F words. That's what he does outside of the studio. And he's so angry. Can you hear that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:29 You didn't hear of a chicken. If it didn't anybody else, I think we have a word. But you knew what you were doing. I did exactly. He does this to everybody else. I got him. Abby, were you scared again? Yeah, I was.
Starting point is 00:15:39 But you guys didn't hear the, like, crazy part. That was when he calmed down. Do you have the crazy part? No, I didn't. You deleted that and sent it off in a shipping bottle. Did he threaten me at all, Abby? No. Okay, I don't think so.
Starting point is 00:15:52 Now I'm on. uncomfortable. I think we should play Walker Ice Fancy like now. That makes me feel good and we just talked about Walker Hayes. Exactly. And now I'm happy he has three hats. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Stay at home there's something good.
Starting point is 00:16:07 33-year-old Tempest is driving down the road when an animal runs in front of her car. She's like, oh, I don't want to hit the animal. She swirves. And then boom! Crashes into a pole. Pull catches on fire. Car starts to catch on fire.
Starting point is 00:16:24 fire. So there's a driver behind her jumps out and starts helping her out the car. She goes, oh, you're my old teacher. The teacher's like Oh, dang. Teachers like, yes, I am Mr. Susino and I'm here to help you. It's been two decades since she was in his class. Wow.
Starting point is 00:16:40 And then two other drivers. Mr. Zazino must be 100. Maybe he was young. Even if he was like 45 then. Good for Mr. Susino. Who are the two other drivers? Shane McCoy and Michael Petrie. And Michael Petrie put a tourniquet on her leg. She suffered a broken legs
Starting point is 00:16:56 and chest pain, but they got her out of the car as it was going up in flames. Wow. Thankfully, Mr. Sizzino. Changing the world. Still, after 20 years. Great. Remember when a teacher says always be there for you? Mr. Sicino, a minute. I don't know what you quite said there, but. Like when teachers say
Starting point is 00:17:12 I will always be here for years. No, I just understand your words as they were being strung together. Really? Yeah, a little rough. It's okay, though. Did y'all's teacher sell you that? I will always be here for you? No, never. Yeah, I can't. I always thought teachers were like, you know, I'll do anything for you. Did your teachers ever tell you that? Not my teachers.
Starting point is 00:17:27 Okay. Not mine. They didn't really like me, though. Was it because of you or them? It's probably them. They just didn't have good personalities. Is that what you told your parents? They hate me.
Starting point is 00:17:37 No, I did. At fourth grade, I used to tell them, Ms. Kangas hates me. Hates me. And my parents didn't believe me. Then my mom came up there on Valentine's Day, and she realized Ms. Kangas hated me. But did you do something to make Ms. Kangas hate you? Of course.
Starting point is 00:17:48 I was a male. Okay. All right. All right. Mr. Suzuki, what's the name? Susuzi? Mr. the heroes are Mr. Sizzun, Susuze, Zino, Shane McCoy, and Michael Petrie.
Starting point is 00:18:02 Whoa. Thank you. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Let's play a game. It's this trivia about lyrics of famous country songs. Oh. So we'll go around the room and I'll sing it. Answer the trivia question. Amy. In Strawberry Wine by Dina Carter. Where was the guy working through college?
Starting point is 00:18:25 On her grandpa's farm. Correct. Working to college in my grandpa's farm. Good. Lunchbox. And before he cheats by Carrie Underwood, what name brand object does she use to destroy both headlights? Oh, it's a Louisville slugger.
Starting point is 00:18:46 Correct. He was a Louisville slugger on both headlights. Good job, good job. Eddie. Yeah. In Song of the South. by Alabama. What kind of pie makes them shut their mouth?
Starting point is 00:18:59 Ooh, that's sweet potato pie. Sweet potato pie and shut your mouth. Gone gone with the wind. Good job. Amy. What food do they poison in Goodbye Earl by the chicks in order to kill him? Black eyed peas.
Starting point is 00:19:16 Black eyed peas. Oh, yeah. It's all right to me, Earl. Yeah. Dang, Amy, that was... It wasn't colored green. No? No.
Starting point is 00:19:26 It's black eyepiece. No, the answer is black eyepiece because we said it there. Yeah, Eddie. I didn't ever say it another dish too. No, no challenge. No challenge. Lunchbox. Yep.
Starting point is 00:19:35 The devil went down to Georgia. He was looking for a soul to steal. Yep. That song by Charlie Daniels tells the story of the devil's failure to steal a young man's soul in a fiddle contest. What's the name of the young man in the song? What? Who's the devil battling?
Starting point is 00:19:55 No one down in Georgia. Devil went down to Georgia. Jerry's looking for a soloist. I'm the best there ever. No, no, I don't worry. Listen, Jim. They started a. Mark your eye all the way to see.
Starting point is 00:20:05 Aaron. I'm the best there ever was. Bill. Charlie. Oh, wait. Charlie, I'm the best ever was. Nope. David.
Starting point is 00:20:17 Is he really going to do this? Three hours later. Walter. Walter. Frank. Yeah, EFG. George. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:28 you got a clock. I want to do. Johnny. That's correct. Shut up. There's no way. Boy said, my name's Johnny, and it might be a sin. Oh, my.
Starting point is 00:20:42 You're going to direct because I'm the best it's ever been. Again, plain possible. Do you think he's messing with you? Yes. How did he go through the whole alphabet and they hit Johnny when he was counting out? No. I swear to you, that was just the name that popped to my head at that second. You're crazy.
Starting point is 00:20:55 The clock hit him and he goes, I don't know, Johnny. He went for like five minutes. You're in. Oh, my God. That's ridiculous. Did you see the look up my face? Like I knew it. When you're under pressure and I feel like Bobby gets down to the two seconds and then the one,
Starting point is 00:21:08 like your brain. He threw his head and went, Johnny on. Yeah, it comes to you. Eddie. It literally popped in my head. Eddie. Come on. In the song Fancy by Reba, the singer recalls the summer when she turned what age.
Starting point is 00:21:22 Oh, gosh. It's the summer I turn. Okay, possum. No, I really don't know this. I really don't know this. I mean. Is she an adult? Like, summer she turned 18.
Starting point is 00:21:41 Is that your answer? Yeah, she's 18. I remember it all very well looking back. It was a summer I turned 18. Oh, thank goodness. Oof. Amy. In Check Yes or No by George Strait,
Starting point is 00:21:54 what was the name of the girl? He used to sit beside in third grade. I used to sit beside Emmylou. Pink bow matching. Pink bow ponies and dress and pony day away.
Starting point is 00:22:10 I used to sit behind All this in my head is Emmylou Hayes But sometimes I don't know that I hear things right And then I've been singing that way for however decades So check yes or no What was the name of the girl? I mean that I don't know if this is her name but this I've been singing
Starting point is 00:22:28 Emmylou Hayes The answer is Emmylou Hayes Okay I sip side Emily Hayes Lunchbox Yeah In Wagon Will by Darius Rucker, the singer catches a trucker out of Philly who is headed west from where?
Starting point is 00:22:46 In Wagon Will by Darius Rucker, the singer catches a trucker out of Philly who's headed west from where? Cumberland Gap. Is he going to the Cumberland Gap? Picked up a trucker out of Philly, heading west, out of, I mean, boot scoot in Tennessee. It has to be Cumberland. I don't know where the Cumberland Gap is. or was he heading west? I mean, it's got to be Cumberland Grap.
Starting point is 00:23:27 What? Cumberland Gap. Correct. What? Dude, that's crazy. Yeah. I caught a trucker out of Philly, had a nice long talk. He's heading west from the Cumberland Gap to Johnson City, Tennessee.
Starting point is 00:23:39 Oh. Eddie, in summertime by Kenny Chesney. Oh, my gosh. The singer describes items in an old Ford. What is the location of the Uhoo bottle? Oh, that's what I thought the question was. Youhoo. You ho bottle.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Okay, let's see. Somertime. I'm in the phone on the floorboard and the Yoohoo. The dash. What's the location of the Yoooo Bootle? Oh, the dash sounds familiar. The dash, isn't that the dashboard? There's a bottle of yoohoo on the dashboard.
Starting point is 00:24:19 There's a floorboard. Man, I really don't know this. I'm going to go with the dash. Floorboard. No! You said it right the first time you sang it. Yeah, because floorboard makes sense. Why? Well, it wouldn't be on the dash?
Starting point is 00:24:33 I'd fall off, man. Eddie, you're out. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Music game. What up? Who's music champions?
Starting point is 00:24:42 We are? Us. Amy and Chattahoochee by Alan Jackson. They fog up the windows and what brand a truck? Fog up to one mile Chevy. Something, something, something heavy. Chevy, Chevy. Correct.
Starting point is 00:24:54 Shevy. Lunchbox and Body like a backroad. What speed? Are they driving? Body like a back row. Just sing it, man. Hips like honey. Don't do that.
Starting point is 00:25:14 That's confusing. No, hold on. Hold on. Dad, who. Stop! What? A hater. No, 35.
Starting point is 00:25:23 Going slow. In the back rows. In body like a back row, what speed are they driving because they... Yeah, why? Because... A 30 hips like honey. I want sang the whole song. 30 like hips like honey.
Starting point is 00:25:37 30 and honey. Is that rhyme? 35 and honey? Does 30 and honey rhyme to you? I don't know. I'm trying to say it out loud. Now, I'm asking if it rhymes to you. Kind of 30, honey.
Starting point is 00:25:47 Yeah. No, I have so many songs in my head right now. They both go and why? And body like a back road, what speed of the driving? Oh. 45. 35. 45.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Amy, do you know it? I can't get to it. My brain's trying. I'm trying. I'm trying. 15. 15. 15.
Starting point is 00:26:12 15. 15. 15. 10 of 30. Music chant. What happened? Music chant. You want the last two, Amy?
Starting point is 00:26:18 This is for you only. Amy only. Dang it! I had it. In dust on... You answered like seven things. No, no, but I had 15. In dust on the bottle.
Starting point is 00:26:28 What was the name of the guy who lived... Creole Williams. Down in the Dirt Road. Creole Williams. Show off. In the chorus, have I had some help by Post Malone and Morgan Wallin. They say teamwork makes the blank work. Teamwork.
Starting point is 00:26:43 Well, no. It's dream. Keymarked. Obviously. Okay, I thought it was more complicated. You imagine they said... There you go. Hey, the one.
Starting point is 00:26:51 I get it. Lunchbox, what's the parking spot issue? I want to know how long you can wait to turn into a parking spot. What do you mean? Because I was going to a restaurant where you turn from the street and it's right in the parking lot. And there's a parking spot and I'm holding up traffic. Oh, so you're sitting in the road with my blinker on. With my blinker on.
Starting point is 00:27:12 Got it. Because it's... It's a small parking lot. If not, I've got to park two blocks down the road. And these people are getting in their vehicle. So I'm like, ah, left turn blinker. Let's put it on. These people are taking their time.
Starting point is 00:27:25 Cars behind me are starting to stack up. Horns are starting to be honked. Single lane? Yeah, one lane this way, one lane that way. And they can't get around me because there's a parking lot on the right hand side. So they're just stuck. And I just sit there and sit there. And I'm probably there for about two minutes.
Starting point is 00:27:43 Oh, gosh. And they are honking. I look in the rear view, getting a bird from the person behind me. And I'm like... Do you bird back? No, I'm just like, I'm just sitting there like, I got my blinker on. I'm waiting for that spot. I'm not parking two blocks down the road.
Starting point is 00:27:59 And the car backs out. And I go to turn in and that car zoom, and like honks as they're going by again. And I was like, well, I was waiting for a parking spot. I had my blinker on. sorry you are not waiting for that parking spot. So what's the etiquette? How long can you wait? So how long can you hold traffic up for a parking spot?
Starting point is 00:28:20 I would not do that. You can't. Is there a little bit? Are you sure this is not a law situation? You're in the road. I know, but I will. Hold on it's sort of like taking the left at the light. Everybody take a breath?
Starting point is 00:28:34 Sometimes if I have to parallel parking, I soak a parking, and there's one lane, you have to turn your blink, your tink-tong, think-tong, because then you got to back up and you're holding everybody as people. But you're moving. You're in the process. No, no, I know, but sometimes you've got to sit there for a second until like people.
Starting point is 00:28:51 Well, for me especially because I suck at parking. Do you do what I go left. I don't think the answer is no time. I think you guys are wrong on that. Really? I think he probably waited longer than I would. I wouldn't have held it up for 60. But I think I would have rolled my window down.
Starting point is 00:29:05 I said, hey, guys, are you guys almost done with, I'm going to use your spot? Not in the mean way. Did you do that at all? Nope. Why? Because they came to their car. There was like four people.
Starting point is 00:29:16 They were adults. And they got in the car and they turned their lights on, you know, and then they just sat there for a minute. Are they stalling on purpose? No, I don't think so. Maybe they were like looking up directions where they were going next. I don't know. I wasn't inside their vehicle, but it took them a little while to reverse. And I was like, I'm not moving.
Starting point is 00:29:32 Okay. So this is what I would say. I've been thinking about this for 20 seconds now. As long as it looks like there's a forward motion with a car that's coming out, meaning the people are in a motion to go to the car. They're in. They put the reverse lights as long as you see. But if at any point, it doesn't look like they're coming out, like backing out, they're
Starting point is 00:29:51 having a conversation in the car. You got to go on. Yeah. So I don't know that I'm assigning a time to it. But if ever they get in, it's like, oh, maybe they're not going to move, right? You have to just go on. But I would have held it up for a minute, but not two minutes. It was definitely two minutes.
Starting point is 00:30:06 On a single lane. Yeah, you deserve the bird for sure. Would you have birded him? I would have honked. I think I would have understood. I would have too, but I would be like, oh, this is a little frustrating. I'm not going to get mad.
Starting point is 00:30:19 I'm not honking. I'm not honking. No, I'm not a honker. I'm a bono-da. I'm a believer. And I get it. You need to do the do-da. Somebody's looking at their phone
Starting point is 00:30:28 in a red light. Oh, that's it. I'll do that. That's what I said, da-da. But I'm a believer that we should now put a second horn of a different tone in cars. Friendlier? Friendlier for the.
Starting point is 00:30:39 that reason. So when I hit the small horn, that is somebody going, hey, I got your back. Take a look up. We have a, uh-uh-uh, yeah, we need, we have traditional horn. That's, hey, here's a noise. Pay attention. Idiot. Stupid head.
Starting point is 00:30:57 Sure. Then you, or when you hear the high pitch, when you're like, oh, that's the looking out for you horn. Got it. Like, hey, the light just turned green. You can go ahead and go, like, you can look up from Twitter. I like that. I felt that. I think we need that in cars
Starting point is 00:31:11 But then the anger horn No that's the big one And the longer you hold it the bigger It was being held But what if you like accidentally hit the mean horn When you really meant to Do you say like sorry
Starting point is 00:31:21 That's on you That's on you Yeah that's on you It's sort of like when you cut someone off You throw your hand up Like oh my bad You just gotta say my bad Well that's if you think
Starting point is 00:31:27 If you accidentally hit the mean When you follow up with the nice one That says I'm sorry But sometimes when someone When someone cuts me off They do them my bad I think they're like flipping me off Because it's such a
Starting point is 00:31:35 You can't tell sometimes You can't It's also there's a fine line because like you're describing lunchbox you're just sitting there being cool because you just had to show coolness. If I like pull too far in
Starting point is 00:31:47 and there's a light and somebody needs to drive through but I'm blocking it I'll just act like I don't see anything except right in front of me. Oh my gosh. And it's my fault. It's my fault.
Starting point is 00:31:54 I pull too far up and the traffic lights holding cars back and now cars need to come through the intersection. But I'm blocking it. I'm not looking anywhere but right ahead and I'm not acknowledging anything
Starting point is 00:32:03 in the world is happening around me because I know I messed up. That's not me. But I'm just going to look forward. sometimes it's like somebody coming to your car on the side of the road. Oh yeah. You just, Adelaide they're not there. No human.
Starting point is 00:32:15 What do you mean when they get out? No, no, no. If they're like asking for money, depending on the situation, I don't want to give everybody money. Sometimes I don't believe you. You just serve in Vietnam War. You don't look at a day over 30, sir. But why not say hi to them? They won't talk to you.
Starting point is 00:32:27 They're already lying. So why I can't believe anything else they're saying? See, I'd be, I wave to him. I'd be like, how's it going? Yeah. If they have a dog, you give them my wallet. Here, take the wallet. For the dog.
Starting point is 00:32:34 Yeah, take their wallet. but you better buy all. All right. So I'm going to say lunchbox, as long as there's a forward movement with the person leaving the spot, you're okay. I think you run a little too long,
Starting point is 00:32:41 but I'm still on your side more than they are. They're haters. 15 seconds. Whoa. All right. Thank you. Here's a voicemail from Hannah. Good morning, Bobby Bone's show.
Starting point is 00:32:50 My name's Hannah from Fort Wayne, Indiana. And I'm going to try to get through this joke without dying laughing. But what is a chicken's favorite brand of clothing to wear? Reebok. That's a good one to me. Hope you all enjoyed that. Have a great day. A plus delivery too.
Starting point is 00:33:08 A plus delivery. Yeah, she did good. All right, here's the next one. I had a question for Bobby. I know a while back that you had some shoulder pain and then you had a chiropractor come on and adjust you. And I'm just wondering how that's going if you're still seeing him or if the shoulder pain is resolved. Love your show. Bye.
Starting point is 00:33:28 My shoulder pain wasn't really like a bone thing or a setting. I tore muscles. So I don't think a chiropractor resetting anything is actually going to fix the torn muscles. What I was doing is trying to make sure my body was in line to my muscles could heal faster, which I'm 95% better. The problem is I keep throwing the ball. Oh, you've got to stop. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:33:52 And then what happened then was I was throwing the ball in a different way because my shoulder was hurting from the tears. And now I've hurt my elbow because I'm throwing in a new way. Oh, my gosh. I mean, you're going to end up needing shoulder surgery. Amputation. Oh. Just get rid of the whole arm. Bionic arm.
Starting point is 00:34:04 There's what I'm hoping for. Yeah, the chiropractor that comes in was there to kind of reset my body so I could heal. It has nothing really to do with the tears in the shoulder. But, no, I love him. I love when he comes in because it's free. That's nice. That's a good part. All right, let's do number four.
Starting point is 00:34:21 I just want to know, can we bring back this football season, lunchbox versus the ladies? I thought it was so funny. And I always played along with it, too, just like in my car. So, yeah, lunchbox versus the ladies. I think we should bring it back. Let me know what you think. It just turned into such domination. Yeah, because he's really good.
Starting point is 00:34:41 He knows a lot about football. But like the last two years that we did it, he didn't lose. So it was such domination. Not only that, he just would talk so much crap to the women on the phone. Oh, okay. So people would call in and they were real confident in their football knowledge. And then, okay, got it. I needed a recap.
Starting point is 00:34:57 They were women and they thought that they could beat lunch. He just dominates. Well, not even that. He screamed, no woman can beat me. And then. He said that? Yes. And then women called and then he just dominated them all.
Starting point is 00:35:08 Oh, yeah. So I'm open to the idea of bringing it back, but. We'll think about it. It's unbearable. It's unbearable. Any woman that loses us to shave her head. Okay. We will think about that.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Thank you for suggesting it. I'll go talk to the staff. Do you want to do it? I mean, he's so good, man. I don't think anybody can beat him. Oh, I do. There's somebody out there that can beat him. What's not somebody?
Starting point is 00:35:31 A woman. There is a woman out there that can be. We've tried, though. It's not football season yet. We'll see. I'll put it on the board to have a discussion with the board about. Okay. The board.
Starting point is 00:35:41 It's just me. No, I know. I'll talk to the crew. I'm going to talk to the board. You're Amy's pile of stories. Bobby, I know your allergies are really bad. Do you wax or tweez your nose hairs? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:35:56 I pull them out in my fingers. Okay. I was going to say you wax them? No, I don't wax them. I'll rip them out in the fingers. I do have a nose, like a little clipper that I remember to use about once every three months. If I happen to be in my bathroom and my nose. nos hairs are so long, they're touching my lip. I'll be like, oh, I should get that.
Starting point is 00:36:11 Otherwise, I would just grab my fingers and rip them out and deal with the eyes watering. Well, experts warn that tweezing nose hairs may make allergies worse. The hairs are there for a reason. They trap dust, pollen, other airborne particles. No, it looks like a mustache on me. They get so long. I would rather deal with the allergies than have those nose hairs coming all out. Well, it helps filter the air. You're taking it. And so they're saying it's causing some issues for people because more and more people are doing the thing where they put the wax up in there and let it dry and then rip it out. And then you have no protection.
Starting point is 00:36:40 It also helps with moisture. It creates like this humidity in your nose, which is good for your respiratory system. So who knew there's all kinds of issues if you wax or tweez your nose hairs? You know why we have hair like under our arms and stuff? To have a scent. So that scent is attractive to people like Caveman Days. That's why you had hair to hold scent. The B-O is attractive?
Starting point is 00:37:03 Well, in the Caveman days. Although some people like it. I like that musty smell, and that is bizarre. Oh, yeah, I don't. I don't. I like mine, but I don't like anybody else's. No. What else?
Starting point is 00:37:11 Gross. All right, so three doctors in Houston were just fined like $15 million because they would have two surgeries going at the same time. Oh. What? And they would kind of go back and forth and leave really complicated, like heart surgery type stuff to other younger surgeon type people through in the room or people not as qualified. Wow. And there was a whistleblower. I'm surprised that's illegal.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Not that it shouldn't be. But with doctors, they're balancing room to room. Sometimes letting the nurse do all the work. At least, I guess I'm surprised. And I would think you'd get someone just to do the easy stuff. Like, hey, just, you know, do that for me. It's not the easy part. The FBI in Houston was involved in this.
Starting point is 00:37:50 And there was three surgeons. It says here, quote, they engaged in a regular practice of running two operating rooms at once while delegating key aspects of extremely complicated and risky heart surgeries to unqualified medical residents. So they were like, yeah, this is not good. And the whistleblower, they get a cut of that. So when the $15 million goes out, the whistleblower gets $3 million. Hold on, hold on. If the fine happens and if it's paid?
Starting point is 00:38:16 Yeah, there's something called the False Claims Act. Well, insurance would pay, like malpractice insurance. If it happens, insurance would pay that. So the money would probably be paid. I like it that there are rules that you can't do two surgeries at once. I'm surprised there are rules based with how spread thin our doctors are. Yeah. But good for them.
Starting point is 00:38:33 And these guys were double dipping, just trying to get double the money. Who knows? Or the pressures on them. Or they lose their job if they don't. No, it's quantity over quality. Yeah, a certain amount of surgery. Or they get the surgeries done on Wednesday. That way they have Thursday and Friday off.
Starting point is 00:38:44 That's not a bad idea. But I don't think that's really it. But sometimes people come in and they need a surgery on a Thursday. Yeah, yeah. Those aren't no surgery days in general. But I would think that probably if I were doing the, I'm going to assume the best in folks, it's the pressure of being a doctor and getting all this done. and you're held a certain standard by the board
Starting point is 00:39:03 to get this many surgeries done unless lunch is right and they're just like trying to buy another Cadillac you know. But I like that. One surgery at a time. Yeah. All your focus on one. Up to three a day.
Starting point is 00:39:16 No more than three. Okay, what else? So a study found that sitting all day may not kill you if you drink enough coffee along with it. So coffee drinkers who sit all day are 24% less likely to die young than people who sit all day.
Starting point is 00:39:30 Brought to you by the coffee makers of America. There's no chance. This is real. No, I saw this. The dumbest thing I ever heard. I saw this story five different places. So I'm just bringing it to you in case you have a sedentary job. Drink coffee.
Starting point is 00:39:42 Feel proud. Stay there and just drink coffee. That's the way to fix it. Yeah. Okay. I mean, that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of story. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 00:39:53 With producer Eddie. Yeah, home it's something good. Realtor Nick was working in Arizona. He was showing a house. Dude, so close. close to closing the deal. He's showing in the living room, the kitchen. He looks out the window. He's like, whoa, that house nearby,
Starting point is 00:40:08 that's on fire. So he steps out, two houses down. He's working like he's showing it. Oh, there's people look at the house and everything. He runs over to the house. Sure enough, it's on fire. Him and a couple other neighbors run out. They knock on doors. Make sure no one's in there because he thinks that hey, valuables, they can be replaced, but
Starting point is 00:40:24 not humans. Goes in the house, searches, finds no people, but he finds a dog. They save the dog. Save the dog. And sure enough, the house was engulfed in flames, gone, gone, gone. But the town is calling him a hero. But you know what? Nick says, I bet it's not a hero.
Starting point is 00:40:39 I'm not a hero, man. I'm just doing my job. Real heroes say they're not a hero. That's why we know he's a hero. That's right. That's a good story. I bet that family, yeah, they're probably destroyed because their house is gone. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:51 But I bet they're also like, dang, that's awesome. You saved our dog. And the people that were looking at the house are like, they have to buy it now, right? Because, like, realtor Nick, he's the mayor. 100%. Well, they've got to buy one with him. It may not be the one they were looking at, but they're not leaving realtor next. If he can get his 3%.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Correct. Okay. Good story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. All right, here's a voicemail from Brandy and Louisiana. I started cracking up thinking about lunchbox today because my termite inspector came to do their yearly termite inspection for our contract. And about 10 minutes after he left, I got an email and it said, how did your termite inspector do?
Starting point is 00:41:31 and you could rate them. And then the next question was, would you like to leave your termite inspector a tip? I started laughing. I thought about a lunchbox. How would you even know if your terminated inspector did a good job? Right. You leave tips for people that do quality service.
Starting point is 00:41:49 How would you know if he inspected correctly? You have no idea. I know nothing. That's a weird thing to get an email going, will you leave a tip for your Amazon driver? I hope you replied him like, no, I'm not going to tip me. Did his job. This is so stupid. I'm not using your company anymore.
Starting point is 00:42:02 I don't even review things. Yeah, you could just say no tip. No, you can just not pay attention to the email, but I don't even look at those emails like, what'd you reviews? I don't review things, I should, I guess. Do you guys do that? Sometimes they'll give you a discount if you leave a review.
Starting point is 00:42:13 Yeah. Yeah, I got $30 off something the other day for going to Facebook and saying... You got scammed. I don't know what you're about to say, but you got scammed, whatever's happening. No, I just had to go to the page and say, specifically, Charles did a great job,
Starting point is 00:42:27 and I got $30 off. That's it. I'm reviewing now, everything. You just go right, Charles is a great job on everything To see if you... We don't even have a Charles I think he got scared No, I mean for his company
Starting point is 00:42:36 He worked there, Charles. All right, let's go. It's time for Amy's Morning Corny. The Morning Corny. What do you call a detective Who accidentally solves all his cases? What's that?
Starting point is 00:42:49 Shear luck, Holmes. That's funny. That was the Morning Corny. You're selecting songs that get stuck in your head. We're doing a draft. Lunchbox won the dice roll backstage. Lunchbox will go first.
Starting point is 00:43:07 Lunchbox songs that get stuck in your head. Go ahead. Tub-thumping. I get knocked down. Gonna keep me. I'm never going to keep me down. Yeah. Sort of.
Starting point is 00:43:20 Is that hilarious? It's not stuck in their... Well, not right now. It's not stuck in my head right now, but... Got it, got it. Yeah. Yes. Chumbawamba tub-thumping.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Yes. I get knocked down. But I get up again. That's a jam. Yeah. It has a second part. Piss in the night away. Both parts.
Starting point is 00:43:35 It's a whiskey drink. Good one. It's a fucking drink. Eddie. Most annoying songs to get stuck in your head. This is so easy. Who let the dogs out? That would be my first pick.
Starting point is 00:43:45 I hate that song. It's played at sporting events. Over the top. And I'm like, I hate the song. And I sing it for three hours. It's too much, man. That's a good one. Morgan?
Starting point is 00:43:55 I cannot believe the number one pick made it all the way to me. Guys, it's Baby Shark. Baby shark do do Wow Baby shark Great, great pick I was saving it I was saving it
Starting point is 00:44:07 because you didn't have kids so I didn't think you'd take it Oh heck everybody knows every single person That doesn't have kids missed I'm gonna do like that I'm just gonna go I was saving it if I missed
Starting point is 00:44:15 No I really had I was doing that I was saving it Yeah but lunchbox I have kids I was definitely taking it Wow great Your kids no baby shark they're older Ray Mundo Yeah that kind of screwed me
Starting point is 00:44:26 All three Yeah I'm gonna just Just do a country song. Give me fancy like Walker Hayes. Oh, wow, that's good. I'm like apple bees and apple bees. Okay, Amy.
Starting point is 00:44:38 Is this the title of song, Barbie Girl? Uh-huh. Okay, I'm a Barbie girl. Barbie Girl Aqua. I like that one. Yeah. Ram me planning. Eat me and tanking.
Starting point is 00:44:47 That's good. Okay, Barbie, go to a party. No. No. That's not it. No. That's not it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:54 Okay, Barbie. Let's go party. Oh, let's go party. Don't make fun of lunchbox if you're going to do the same crowd. It's stuck in my head now. So now we go backward Hang it Amy had Barbie Girl
Starting point is 00:45:04 And you'll go first Since you went last Go ahead Mbop Hanson Mbop's good Bop Mbop Mbop
Starting point is 00:45:09 Bhab We got it We got it We got it We got it Rammundo For Eddie Macarena
Starting point is 00:45:18 What's that for me? Because he's Mexican Yeah Like shout out to Mexican Eddie Shout out Eddie For Macarena
Starting point is 00:45:24 Yeah I'm Macarena Is it Macarena? Is it Macarena? Rameundo is not Hispanic Mexican
Starting point is 00:45:30 Latin in any way. He just invented the name. Right. And it's Macarena. And then people think Raymundo is Mexican dude. It's so dumb. Macarena, okay. Was that big in your culture, Eddie? No, man. Okay. Morgan? Yeah, another one I'm not sure
Starting point is 00:45:46 how made it to me, but Friday, Friday. Gotta get down on Friday. That's what I had. I was saving that one. Right here. That's what I had circle for my second rounder. Baby Shark and Friday by Rebecca Black. All right. Well, that's great. Eddie, I don't have to go Disney
Starting point is 00:46:01 Let it go Let it go Frozen So annoying Let it go frozen Lunchbox you have tub thumping from Chumbabwamba Yeah you ready Call me Maybe
Starting point is 00:46:15 Call me Jameson that's a good one Hey I just met you This is crazy Here's my number So call me maybe I like that one But it gets stuck in your head Tub thumping and Call Me Maybe
Starting point is 00:46:28 So far Lunchbox's team He gets to go one final time here. Lunchbox should go first round three. Go ahead. Yeah. What other songs get stuck in your head? Yeah. What are you looking at?
