In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Correct?
Starting point is 00:02:00 I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Gillespie and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police.
Starting point is 00:02:17 As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Listen to Love Trapped podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ago Wode. My next guest, it's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. He goes, just give it a shot.
Starting point is 00:02:39 But if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck.
Starting point is 00:03:00 Yeah. Listen to Thanks Dad on the Iheart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Wake up in the morning. Then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. Keeps on turn. Then you're here. Eddie and me lunchbox, Morgan, 2 school, Steve Reddavits trying to put you through.
Starting point is 00:03:25 Mike D's writing this week's next bit. Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. This is the Bobby Vaughy Vaughy Vaugh. Here's a voice mall. Go ahead. Hey, Bobby Bones. Can interview tomorrow. Been with the company for 10 years. Going up from a merchandiser to a silk position,
Starting point is 00:03:47 do you have any feedback? Or advice. I'm sorry, advice. Yeah, you got it here. So first of all, you've been to the company for 10 years. You need to highlight that. They already know it,
Starting point is 00:03:57 but you need to highlight it anyway. If you don't sing your praises, your praises will not be sung, especially when they're talking to 100 people. Say, you love working for this company. The reason you want to move up in this company is because you love this company so much. And that's obvious by my 10 years with this company. What I would also do, and not just if you've been with the company for a long time when you go into a job interview,
Starting point is 00:04:17 learn a lot about the company. Because when people come in to be interviewed, if you actually know about the company, not just about your job, but about what the company does, how well it does, some great things about it. That's going to impress the crap out of whomever is interviewing you because people don't normally do that extra bit of research that has to do with something that's not really about them. So if you go on, you're like, I've been here 10 years. Here's the things I really love about the company and some things I'd like to be a part of with the company that I haven't yet.
Starting point is 00:04:45 Like if you know things about the company and you show that you're invested, that's going to go so far. Next up, you want to tell your prospective employer, if he's the one hiring you, if he's the one that's going to be your boss, which is kind of the case here. If I hire somebody, they usually work for me. this is 100% money. I use this with people. It's so money, I don't even want to share it
Starting point is 00:05:09 because I want to still be able to use it. But this is what I'm going to do. I'm going to give you one of the most powerful chips that I've ever invented, created, and used. You go to this person who's hiring you. You say, hey, look, obviously, I want the job. I love the company, whatever. But I want to do such a great job
Starting point is 00:05:28 that you get celebrated because you made a good hire. Like I want to do so good that you're the hero. That's good, man. That's good. That's it. I just gave everybody free money. Everyone's riding it down.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Because you made it about your goal is to make them look better. Make them. I want to be so good that they end up giving you a raise because, oh, you're the guy that hired him and he has such a good job. Like my good. I got to start writing checks for yourself because you use that. That's it. Then you better perform.
Starting point is 00:06:08 Who cares? You got the job. But still, you know what I'm saying. Okay. Like, that's it. It's like my goal is to make you look good. I'll do that sometimes like TV stuff. I'll be like, I got one goal.
Starting point is 00:06:18 It's to do such a good job that they make an executive with the company because they're like, if he can do this. And then they're thinking like, hey, I do want to be executive for this. Well, they're already thinking that, right? And it's like, oh, now I got. somebody to tell. Here, what do you see here? That's money, dude. No, it's my hand. Eat out of it. Oh, exactly.
Starting point is 00:06:37 That's my trick. Oh, that's still work here? Eating out of my hand? No, us. Like, if we told you that. Yeah, like our job is to make you look good. Because bones, that's what we're trying to do here. Then I would say this. Yeah, duh.
Starting point is 00:06:51 The easy one, smile. This is for everybody. Smile, smile, smile, smile, smile, smile. It's the most fundamental, simplest thing. that people don't do it. They go into thinking they're serious or they're nervous. Smile. Smile. Smile. Smile. There you go. Got you. Smile. Smile. Smile. It's so important to look likeable, even if you're not. You have to be likable for someone to want to hire you. If you're not likable, do you know you're not? Yeah, that's a correct question. It's not that you know you're not likable. If you're not likable, you mostly don't like other people. Therefore, you're not, you know, you probably know you don't smile. If you're someone, you know, if you're someone, and you're like, I just don't like people. And you think you might be likable, you're not. Okay. Well, guys, why don't we just ask someone?
Starting point is 00:07:35 Lunchbox. I'm likable. Never smiles. And then I would, if it's a sales job, you're changing your job specifically here. I would go in and TikTok has a really good thing. Read a little bit on contemporary sales tactics. Because he's going to be like, what would you do in this situation? The old one was, sell me this pen.
Starting point is 00:07:56 Oh, that wolf of Wall Street. Yeah, this is the old one. They don't really do that one anymore because now everybody knows all the trick. and mine was I grab it stab you and I kill you take your money and go to Mexico. How about that? That's how you would answer that? That's what I would do if they ask me that. Then I'm out of there.
Starting point is 00:08:10 So on TikTok, they have potential questions that you might get. No, they have really cool sales tactics. Yeah. Okay. That's what I mean. Yeah, to talk to people. Like when you call somebody, it's never like, hey, are you free to talk? It's like, hey, is this a bad time?
Starting point is 00:08:24 And there's a whole difference in how you approach it with just those words. It's manipulation. Well, you're communicating in a way that could possibly be affecting how someone thinks of manipulation. Call it what you want. The Bobby Bone Show. The Apple Watch can do some cool things. I'm like, I can't believe the Apple Watch can do that. There are some things now the Apple Watch can do.
Starting point is 00:08:47 I'm like, I cannot believe the Apple Watch can do that. And somebody on the show, I might just buy them an Apple Watch for this reason. It's wild what the new Apple Watch can do. Okay, we'll do that. So, you know, sometimes you're like, you get a fight, you lock them out. This happened on an airplane with pilots. Oh. In that area.
Starting point is 00:09:07 Yes, I'll tell you about that too. You're on an airplane. Imagine this. One of the pilots is beating on the door going, let me in. Sometimes one of the pilots has to go to the bathroom. So one of the flight attendants will go sit in with the pilot, so two people are still up there. But imagine the pilot. She's like, let me.
Starting point is 00:09:24 Hello! That's what was happening. Because the male captain locked the female co-pilot out because the male captain locked the female co-pilot out because they got into a fight. Wow. It was a 10-hour flight. They were flying and went to the bathroom and she couldn't get back in and was not allowed to get back in.
Starting point is 00:09:44 What a jerk. I don't know what she did. I don't know. I'm not jerking anybody. Yeah. What if she spit at him? Yeah, we don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:09:53 Wow. His self-imposed solitary confinement caused a tent standoff that was finally resolved. after senior crew members persuaded the captain over the intercond let the pilot back in. John, John, look, you're going to get in trouble when we land. Come on, just let her in. This is awkward. And he's sitting there going, no, I won't do it. Yeah, and then when they landed, he got in trouble.
Starting point is 00:10:16 For sure. I wonder what happened. I need to know. Because they know, because it's all heard in that room. In the box? Yeah. Oh, the black box. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:25 Yes, I've heard about that. You always got to recover the black box. For this, we recover the black box. You think they were dating? I know, I was like, was she trying to touch him? Interesting. No, I'm not allegedly. Wait, you went, was she trying to touch him?
Starting point is 00:10:38 I would think it was he trying to touch her? Right. Because he would let her in. I originally went, I was like, wait. But then I realized I was being a little bit sexist, assuming it was him. So then what if he felt uncomfortable? And he was like, I just had to set a boundary. I don't feel it was sexist at all.
Starting point is 00:10:53 I went with. He was trying to touch her. And she was like, stop touching me. And he locked her out then. Oh. Because guys are creeps. Oh. I took it as they were dating
Starting point is 00:11:01 and they were flying together and they got in a fight like turn left here I know how to get there, leave me alone no we need gas no we don't It's on E, it doesn't mean we're gonna go in One of those like a car Yeah yeah yeah Go left, no go right
Starting point is 00:11:13 Yeah, locked her out Hey, got her It's weird Got her, got her Got her What was that show on Apple Plus where they got in the flight You liked to eat yourself, but it was Oh yeah, hijack
Starting point is 00:11:25 It's pretty good That's a real good one Yeah If you guys haven't seen that on Apple Plus Let's go check that out. Highjack. Because it's the whole thing, too, on the airplane. But they weren't fighting about me and Tyler.
Starting point is 00:11:34 The Apple Watch can do some pretty cool stuff. I've never used it to do stuff like I got in a car crash and someone saved me. Or I got in a bike or I can someone save me. But those commercials say it happens. Or my heart gets to a point. Like I know somebody who has a heart issue and when their heart gets to a certain point, it alerts them. So how about this? The new Apple Watch can tell you when you're getting a cold before you have it,
Starting point is 00:11:58 The flu, even COVID, days before it hits. I want to get lunchbox for them. Oh, please. I want to put one on both wrists and both ankles. I thought you meant one for him and in all of his kids. Because, I mean, that's what he gets in it. I think they'll lose them though. But I just need him to know.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Yes. Some users are astounded by the device's ability to flag early signs of sickness, like again, a cold or a flu. That's, I don't even know how they do it. Like just sitting on your wrist. Series A model and a. above, it harnesses critical metrics taken over a week while the user is asleep. If multiple metrics are outside your typical range, you receive a notification along with
Starting point is 00:12:39 context for factors that may be involved. Like, okay, this is happening? But is it because are you on any sort of new medication? Because that would adjust what they say elevation changes. But it can tell you basically, based on your body, what's happening inside of it, what illnesses you may have, but you don't know yet because it takes a while for them to actually exist. Crazy.
Starting point is 00:13:00 So how about this? How do they know all that from your wrist? Anybody think about that? No, but I will take one. From your wrist? How do they know all of this stuff from your wrist? Well, on your wrist, you can do blood pressure, right? And then you can do pulse.
Starting point is 00:13:14 And so if anything like that, the body temperature. But I don't wear my watch as tight as the blood pressure thing squeezes my arm. You can do blood pressure from the watch? Yeah, because like my brother, since he had a stroke, he has a little like wrist thing. They push it on them? It does get tighter, but I mean, maybe the, Apple watch. That watch just moves.
Starting point is 00:13:31 I can move it like this. Like my watch now. Pretty crazy. I don't know. Who knows? I think when you get one, like secret stuff goes in your house. We don't know it. They're spying on it?
Starting point is 00:13:41 Yeah. And that's how they really know. That's crazy if they can tell you a cold is coming. Every day lunchbox, we're walking. They'll be going off all day. Can't come in today. Sorry, dude. We're not going to lie you in.
Starting point is 00:13:54 You do bring a disease in about every week and a half. Yeah, I think we really should get me in one of these. You just want to, free watch, so now I'm not going to do it. Only if he didn't want to do it, would we have done it? Time for the news. Bobby's big. Stories. If you want to get ahead in your career, who here does? Me? Yep. That's a little too quick of the answer. I feel like you guys are all doing pretty good.
Starting point is 00:14:15 Got to go. Okay, we'll get out of here. Got to move up. Get to going. If you want to get ahead, hiring experts say to keep your work area neat. Uh-oh. A survey of more than 2,600 hiring managers found there are less likely to promote someone with a messy workspace. The reason clutter can imply you're disorganized and behind it work, it also gives off an impression that your current workload is too much and you're not ready for a promotion. Neateness implies you're on top of things and ready for more responsibility. CareerBuilder.com.
Starting point is 00:14:45 I often feel like people that cannot do the little things do not oftentimes deserve the opportunity to do the big things. And that can be anything from like, how you dress? how your hair is when you come to work, how messy your area is, do you get here on time? Like those are all like fundamental things that I would look at and go, hmm, if they're crushing the little things, why not give them a shot of doing the big things?
Starting point is 00:15:11 Much like football coaches, right? You practice well, you give you a shot to play in the game. Like the worst is when someone's like, no, I'm just good under the lights. No, you're not good in the daytime. Not only going to give you that shot to it under the lights. Or when people say, that's above my pay grade, well, you want to stay at that pay grade?
Starting point is 00:15:29 But sometimes things really are just above your pay grade. Yeah, but you know the answer. No, it's not. I say that, though, if I don't know the answer. Right. Where it's like, hey, this budget is above my pay grade, man. I have no idea what that even means. But I know nothing about that stuff.
Starting point is 00:15:44 And also, yes, some decisions that are way above my pay grade, I actually literally don't want those. But isn't that your chance bones to be like, I don't know, let's make that decision right now. And if it is your chance and you, don't know, you take that chance. You're done. Odds are, you're not going to get another chance.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Moving on. It seems like Halloween used to be a lot more fun back in the day. Would you guys agree with that? Why? Like when you were kids? Yeah, or when you were... Even older. When you were 23, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Because you go to the bars and everybody's dressed up and the girls are dressed up and they're... I think they thought 12 and you went to 23. Yeah, because he's like thinking of the naughty nurse. Yeah, the naughty nurse at the bar or the sexy catwoman. Oh, man. A question, not to completely digress. Did you ever, let's say, find someone on Halloween night, go make out with them, they were in sexy nurse, whatever you're calling it, and the next day would be like, oh no, when they're not a sexy nurse, they are not what I would normally have made out with. Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's happened.
Starting point is 00:16:43 But that's sexy nurse, I mean, it looks so good and it's like, man. Would you ever? Is there really a bad sexy nurse? Well, he's saying the next day. But I'm saying, would you ever send the sexy nurse or you leave from the sexy nurse before she's not to, like, before the carriage turned into the pumpkin? Before the carriage. So before she's ugly. I just said carriage and pumpkin.
Starting point is 00:17:04 More like when she's not dressed like sexy nurse anymore. Yeah, yeah. You realize. So you get out before then. Or you see it and you're like, okay, I probably won't call her again. Got it. Well, she might feel the same about you. And what was your outfit?
Starting point is 00:17:16 I was Santa Claus one year. Santa Claus? Sexy Santa. That's not sexy. No, no, no, girls don't care. Oh, you do funny. Yes, I do funny. I go for the funny, and that's what the women like.
Starting point is 00:17:24 Got it. If there's one guy who knows what women like. You're looking at him. It's him. I mean, I was a Telitubby, big hit. That's pretty funny. Easter bunny. But how do you keep your face if it's Telatuby or Santa?
Starting point is 00:17:34 It's cut out. And then the Santa, you just have the big beer. They don't really know. I mean, they know. They just risk it. And they risk it for the biscuit. You calling that a biscuit is really weird. So, anyway, back in the day, Halloween, a lot more fun,
Starting point is 00:17:49 especially in Victorian England, you could end up biting down when they play the games on any of the treats, like an apple, whatever, a needle. They put them in there as games. A needle. What? They'd make cakes with thimbles, dimes, or rings, and you'd eat them and, like, hopefully.
Starting point is 00:18:05 That's the game? If your cake had a needle or thimble, it meant you were destined for the life of spinsterhood. Oh. Which meant a lot of time to sew. But they'd put needles and food. A dime or a ring meant you be blessed with a great life and get married and get rich.
Starting point is 00:18:18 Mental floss has that story. A lot more fun back when you eat a needle. And it wasn't, watch out. They're putting needles in things. It's like, watch out, there's a needle in there. Good luck. Planning to live into your hundreds, not very likely. Researchers have some surprising news about the current human lifespan.
Starting point is 00:18:33 It is slowing down. Medical advances are yielding smaller improvements and there really aren't any more people living past 100 now than there were 10 years ago. Like there's still a lot of few, but it's not more now than then, which only means about 15% of women and 5% of men. might reach the ripe old age of 100 years old, University of Illinois, Chicago. I'm going to tell you the Jimmy Carter stuff is hard to look at. Oh, and they show pictures of him.
Starting point is 00:18:58 Oh. He, if you said, hey, guess, and I was just looking at him, and God bless him, he did a lot of good for this country, built a lot of houses. But if you said guess, is that guy alive or not alive, I would think not alive. Oh, yeah. I wish they wouldn't roll him out. They roll him out, and they're like, hey, he's going to vote. like he is. Yeah. Well, it is cool that he's able to still exercise his right to vote. And he's devoted so much service to our country. I agree all that. But it's like his process is the last
Starting point is 00:19:30 time he's going to vote. No, no. I hear you about can he do anything? That's what I'm saying. Like exercise is the right to vote. I'm glad he voted, but I don't know what he can do. And I don't know, but I just see him rolling out and I feel bad for him. But I still, if I'm not, keep me alive if I'm him. Okay. Because I went for a miracle drug. Bring me back. Maybe he is too. But what a guy who has given his life. But what a guy who has given his life, his whole life, just being so altruistic. His president, only a one-term president, but then, like, has built so many homes for Habitat for humanity, I think, like over the years, has given a lot, would fly Southwest and
Starting point is 00:20:03 people would be like, holy crap, that Jimmy Carter? Yeah, I feel bad, I feel bad, though, seeing him in his pictures now. A PTA president allegedly stole $40,000 from my elementary school, blew it on Amazon. Now that, I'm like, oh, you can't do that. But then when I read the second part, and what were they buying? vet bills. Oh, no. So they're desperate.
Starting point is 00:20:22 They were desperate. It depends what the Amazon to vet bill relationship was. Also, you can't do it. No. But how angry I'm going to be as a judge, it depends on the vet bill to Amazon ratio. Was it cosmetic surgery for the dog? No, probably not. I wouldn't think that would be the case.
Starting point is 00:20:38 But let's go through it. This Queens Elementary School, allegedly, this PTA person, pill for at least $40,000 intended for kids programs, I'm spending on vet bills, Amazon purchases, and Uber Eats. Oh, well, that one I get to. Athena Gonzalez resigned September 27th after other PTA members accused her of stealing. They uncovered the missing money. A copy of a $10,000 check written out to cash was placed on the table, but nobody fessed up to writing it.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Another check was allegedly written out to Gonzalez, the PTA announced in its October meeting. I just think if she would have only done it for vet bills, it's still bad and she's still getting trouble. but then like we hop in and get a go fund me and then she spends like a few months in jail and then her animals are saved and I'm happy and she served her time. Yeah, I just don't know how people think they would get away with it though because like if she's president, isn't there a treasurer?
Starting point is 00:21:28 Or maybe she's the treasurer. She's everything. Maybe she's dictator of the PTA. Yeah. Ever think about that? I don't know. Seems risky. Man, now the kids don't get on a field trip.
Starting point is 00:21:38 All because the 40,000 is gone. But there could be some animals saved. That's true. One final story of all seen examples of tiny homes currently on Walmart's website, you can purchase your very own tiny home for less than $20,000. The Apple cabin, it looks like an iPhone, how it's shaped, and it goes for $17,400. For that money, you get a 20 foot by 7, 4 foot by 7, 7 foot. It's a pre-fab.
Starting point is 00:22:00 It's a tiny space. See, I was doing this before. It was cool. What, the tiny house? Yeah. I lived in a camper. Like a year and a half. It's not the same.
Starting point is 00:22:09 It wasn't a camper shell. It was a small camper that you would put on the truck. You drag it. Yeah. There was no heat or air. It's a box fan. But yeah, I was doing this for it's even done. You know, I'm ahead of the time.
Starting point is 00:22:22 But you're a good question. You can buy this for $17,000, but then you've got to buy land to put it somewhere, right? Yeah, but you can put in the backyard, literally. It's a bedroom. You could put it in, it's, again, not huge. You could put it in your backyard. Oh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:22:33 And make it like a guest room, guest house. Airbnb? Sure. There's enough for a bedroom and a TV. I'm looking at it right now. On its side, when the door opens, it kind of looks like an iPhone. They're not on purpose, but that's the news. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:22:47 Those were bodies big. Stories. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.
Starting point is 00:23:04 Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered, conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast, it's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told, and for people who are chasing something bigger.
Starting point is 00:23:37 So, if you've ever supported me, or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. Starting point is 00:25:21 coming talent. He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head against the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat. Just hang in there. Yeah. It would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. Starting point is 00:26:45 himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice in so-ins, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfectant.
Starting point is 00:27:11 They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alesbian, Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues,

Starting point is 00:27:48 We're going to talk about signs. And if you see a sign, What does that mean? And Amy, I always see signs. She's like, I saw a bird, I saw a tree, I saw a plant, I saw somebody walk. It's a sign, right? Yeah, this is a sign. My latest sign, it's from a listener.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Okay, go ahead. It's like, they gave it to me. I didn't see it. And if anybody out there has seen a sign recently, call us, one that you fully believe in. By the way, as skeptical as I sound, I cannot tell you you're wrong. And I love you that you have it. I cannot tell you you're wrong. I may be like, come on, but I can't tell you wrong.
Starting point is 00:28:19 So, Amy, you go ahead. Okay, so I get a note from a listener with a link to Facebook Marketplace that has a Bronco, a full-size Ford Bronco, 1989, Eddie Bauer, it's red and tan. That was my first car. Well, this is 1989. So mine was a little bit older than that. But still, it's in the 80s. And it's the same look and everything.
Starting point is 00:28:40 Like, you wouldn't even be able to tell. And they said that the seller, their name is Amy. It's all like, this is a sign. This is a sign? A bunch of random clothes. coincidence is that it really is not even the same car. Yeah. Well, I just look for a different, hey, you never know, like it could go from Amy to Amy.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Yeah. I've been looking. What if that's you in a different timeline? Oh. Selling it to you. Well, the year's a little off. So you think what I say is ridiculous, but you say it's all good. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:29:05 I just have been wanting to find my old first car. And I don't know that that's actually possible. Maybe I find something like it. And it is for sale in like Bethpage Tennessee right now for $5,000. So could be my Christmas present. I think. that if you're looking for your first car, your original one, you're not going to find it, but this is going to give you what you're looking for by getting that first car.
Starting point is 00:29:25 Right. And a listener sent it to me. And when she saw Amy was in the cellar, she saw that as a sign to email me. So it's like sign on top of a sign. Yeah, sign on sign crime. It feels like. Right. So another sign, Amy saw a dead blue jay.
Starting point is 00:29:38 Oh, no. We're just going to roll through some signs here. Amy's parents, her mom passed away. Her mom is a cardinal. Her dad passed away. Her dad's a blue jay. And just like with any parents, one nationally. one American League.
Starting point is 00:29:50 You know? That's right. They can play in the World Series. Absolutely. They're not this year, but they could play in the World Series. I like that. So, what you,
Starting point is 00:29:57 Dead Blue Jay? Yeah. So it died in my yard and I thought, well, okay, my dad's a Blue Jay. I do know that. And I looked up what that means. And it gave me peace because it told me that my life, like right where I am,
Starting point is 00:30:13 some of the things that I'm feeling, I need to be thankful for the growth and where I am and know that even in loss, there's a lesson to be learned and growth to be attained. And I love that because I've experienced a lot of life changes lately. And the Blue Jay was saying like there's going to be this rebirth happening. And that's exactly what's happening to me right now. So please accept this as us doing a radio show and just a bit, but a question in the bit, not in personal life.
Starting point is 00:30:39 I don't want you to be offended. Is this your dad dying twice? Is he dead again? Well, I don't know. I don't know if he's dead again. But I mean, I think it's very clear that he was. was trying to show me that life is short and it's fleeting. So soak up the joy, soak up the happiness. And that's what I'm going to do. I'm going to live in the moment. I'm going to be happy.
Starting point is 00:30:59 I'm going to learn from the loss. And I'm going to move forward in life with confidence. So here's why I like it. Here's why I don't like it. While I like it is, I think that's a great reason. Any reason to be reminded of anything positive is awesome and I would never pee on that. Secondly, that's ridiculous. But both can happen, right? I agree. But I'm going to go ahead and just lean to if that was the sign, then I'm going to take it because why not? It gives me a positive feeling inside and helps me feel like I'm in the right direction and that I'm going to be okay. And if that is what you get from it, I'm totally down with it. I love it. Anytime you're getting anything positive from anything, I might make fun of it, but who cares?
Starting point is 00:31:36 What do I know? I know nothing when it comes to this. These things are either way bigger than us or they don't exist and I can't prove either way. So if it makes you feel better and it makes you be a better person, I don't give a crap what you do. I love it. excited about my... But we're still going to point and laugh. Is that okay? Hey, hey, laugh, but my rebirth is happening. Oh, no, she's crowning. She's crowning again. Yes. I got a sign.
Starting point is 00:32:00 What is it? Are you going to be serious? Yeah. No chance. I got a sign. And I think this is a sign that I should really spend some time thinking about. Arkansas was beat pretty bad by LSU. Like, shout out to the LSU team and fans. I would have loved to beat you.
Starting point is 00:32:17 You did. You manhandled us. You did. I hate to say it. And if you're new, I'm a diehard Arkansas Razorback fan. Like, I live and die on weekends with the Razorbacks. I love them so much. I wish I could make love to just like the idea of a Razorback.
Starting point is 00:32:30 But I know I would probably get put in jail. Oh, my. The idea of like the, I just love it so much. I mean, so much. When we just got outclassed, outplayed, everything about it. My wife calls me about two-thirds the way through the game. And she's in the bedroom. And she just calls in, see her, like, she also knows not to sit with me when I'm watching the game.
Starting point is 00:32:53 It's not, I'm not aggressive or anything. I'm just, I just, so much energy is gone. And I'm just like, come on. I knew it. She goes, hey, can I ask you a question? I'm like, yeah, yeah, it's a commercial. Thanks for calling on a commercial. She purposely did that.
Starting point is 00:33:07 She goes, I just need to know what kind of mood you're going to be in tonight. And I'm like, what do you mean? She goes, because I know if you're in such a bad mood, you're not going to want to wake me up and you're just going to sleep upstairs. Because we don't have a sleep upstairs role about fights. If I'm so irritated at something, like, again, I'll go sleep upstairs. I take that as a sign of that I'm a loser. Yeah. I'm a loser and I still have childlike obsessions that I let overtake.
Starting point is 00:33:32 But you can release that, you know. I don't want to, though. I'm passionate about like three things in life. What job? Razorback away games, raise it back home games and Razorback Neutral Site games. Interesting. Okay. Makes sense.
Starting point is 00:33:46 Yeah. Yeah. But shout out-SU. You completely outclassed us, and I wish I could want to be angry. I can't. You mean it is terrible. I hate it. Life sucks.
Starting point is 00:33:54 You know what else could be a sign for you? Mm. So you know Arkansas? When you just got Arkansas whatever of the year. It's not Arkansas whatever. Why forget the title? Arkansas. What do you call somebody from Arkansas?
Starting point is 00:34:09 Arkansas. Arkansas. Boom. Got it. Arkansas of the year. Thank you. That's you. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:13 Is that a sign? It's a sign. need to go even harder. But no. Is it a sign you may be crazy? Just need to relax a little bit. Yes. Or run for governor.
Starting point is 00:34:25 Two, everybody hates everybody. I thought about this when I was, both sides approached me a few years ago. They were like, well, you come run for governor? And I said, I will only run if I can create my own party. And they were like, not any good idea. I've never said this part on the show. I want to be the Arkansas party. Meaning I don't want people to hate each other just because there's a tag beside my name.
Starting point is 00:34:50 And I said, I'm not down the middle, but I have, if you were to like average stuff out, like down the middle, like, sure, do I think everybody needs guns? I think I do. I think anybody that's normal, doesn't have a crime, no red flags. Yeah, I think you deserve everybody gets a gun. But do I believe in gay rights? Absolutely. Do I believe? So it's like, once you like average them all together, it's like, oh, he's a little cuckoo.
Starting point is 00:35:12 But I was like, I'm not going to run under a party. And they're like, well, you won't get any money. And I was like, then I'll just get rich enough that I don't need anybody's money. So, but that, that was. You would want to run as like a republicrat? Nope. No, I don't want it. No, no.
Starting point is 00:35:24 It's merging. I don't. I don't, I don't, I like that. Then that would be going, oh, you picked one first in front of the other. Oh, well, that's just a flow to my brain. I don't want people thinking I'm not caring for them because I've picked a different name of a party that already exists. So I would be the pro-Arkinsal party. That's what I would call it.
Starting point is 00:35:43 Okay. Oh, not like pig suey party? No, because that would be university. Arkansas State voting for me in UCA. That's right. That's right. Yeah. But I did win Arkansas into the year.
Starting point is 00:35:50 It was cool because they brought the award back. The other winners have been Jerry Jones, Johnny Cash, former governors of Arkansas, Bill Clinton won it, former president. That's awesome, dude. So I'm very excited about it. And they said I can do it. When I go back to Arkansas, I can commit any crime I want, no jail.
Starting point is 00:36:06 No way. That's cool. Hey, what are we doing? Whatever you want. You want to rob bang. That's what I pick. Yes. So I think you should get the Bronco.
Starting point is 00:36:15 Okay. Well, I'm going to put some work into it. Yeah, that's the thing. I don't know the status and I can't just like pop up there. I can tell you the status for $5,000 Bronco, a lot of work. They're so hard to find. And if you find one for $5,000, it's a lot of work. But I'm happy to do the work for you.
Starting point is 00:36:30 You're going to fix the car? What do you mean? No, I have no idea. I do. I was like, wow. Are our phones down? Is that still up? Okay.
Starting point is 00:36:38 Because I know people are dying to get in and talk to us today. Just dying. Yeah, we have a new equipment today. So let's just take a break. We'll come back. Maybe the phones will work. If not, we'll give you lunchbox a cell phone. We'll put it on speakerphone.
Starting point is 00:36:48 Oh, perfect. All right, back in a second. A broken lottery vending machine gives a guy a ticket worth $9.2 million. A broken machine. Wow. A broken machine. That's crazy. And $9.2 million.
Starting point is 00:37:02 Like all of that is wild. An Illinois man said he saved his money up and went bought some tickets. And he won $9.2 million because he was having trouble with a machine. So he goes to the grocery store, the luxury store, the lot. lottery vending machine's broken. Oh, so this is what happened. I actually wanted to buy a ticket for a different game. The machine got stuck on Lotto.
Starting point is 00:37:23 I was a bit frustrated. I said, what's going on? The machine won't give me the right game. So I decided, well, crap, I'll just take this ticket. It's a sign. Okay, but it's valid. Oh, yeah. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:37:31 He just wouldn't give him the ticket he wanted, so he got the other ticket. The ticket ended up scoring $9.2 million. That is wild. And you know, for a minute, it's like, stupid. I wanted the M&M and all that's giving me to the nutter butter. Oh, nutter butter. but the nutter butter was $9.2 million. You ever shake a machine?
Starting point is 00:37:51 I'm shaking a vending machine. Banged it. Yeah. You ever have an alarm go off and you run away? No. Not me either. Not me either. So if you heard the show on Friday or maybe Thursday, when did I text Ronnie Dunn from Brooks and Dunn?
Starting point is 00:38:06 Last week sometime. Eddie was like... That was Thursday, I think. Eddie was like, my mom wants to go to see Brooks and Dunn, but we got this invite and now no one to respond. and so I'm very fortunate. My life is weird. And Brooks and Dunn. I know him.
Starting point is 00:38:19 I love him. Lead singer. He's a friend friend. So I text him. I didn't realize he was asleep. That's funny. He told me he told me that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:38:26 And so I said, Eddie and his mom want to come. And he's like, is Eddie's mom hot? I said, you know, that's up to you. He did not. He did say that,
Starting point is 00:38:33 but he was kidding because he's married. That's awesome. He did say, is she hot. Yeah. But that's a joke. Got it. Classic Ronnie.
Starting point is 00:38:38 Oh, Ronnie. So you went to the show? Yeah. Took my mom to the show. Dude, it was amazing. So, like, yeah, we had VIP passes. That's awesome. We got to meet the band.
Starting point is 00:38:48 My mom met Ronnie and Kicks. Dude, she was so happy. And her spot was, like, right over the stage, watching the whole show. And they didn't play, like, four or five songs. I thought they were going to go play, like, oh, just a few songs. Get out of here. A whole set. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Like an hour and a half worth of music. And Ronnie, dude, man, I don't know he can still sing because he comes in here all the time, sings, sang at your wedding. But a whole show, an hour and a half, close. to two hours, singing the hits to the top level, it was awesome, dude. When they come to town, I would encourage you to go because the show is so good.
Starting point is 00:39:19 And, listen, they're not spring chickens anymore. No, they're not. I think Ronnie's 70. So you might think, like, how good can it really be, but. Yeah, you're like, a couple winter chickens. Yeah. Who wants to eat them? Winter chicken. No.
Starting point is 00:39:33 They're not winter chickens. Ronnie 71. They're so good. Go watch books and done. I'm glad you mom. We got to meet them. That is great. So Ronnie's like, yeah. So, like, Bobby texts me in the morning, I'm waking my butt up and out of bed.
Starting point is 00:39:47 And he texts me. He's like, hey, Eddie's mom wants to come. So I'm glad I made it. Anybody else go to the show? Yeah, I did. Is it not so good? It was so good. I was even Googling how old Ronnie was in there because I was so impressed of how great he sounded.
Starting point is 00:40:00 And kicks, too. Like, they both just crushed it. And they're funny. And when you get older, and this is for just about everybody in the history of time and singing, you change your songs. because you can't sing as high as you used to. Elton John, watched him do it, he did it. A lot of artists in here.
Starting point is 00:40:14 You know, how you sing it at 25 is not how you can sing it at 55. But Ronnie sings it in the same key. It's 71 years old. Amazing. On the phone, we have Cassie. Cassie, Cassie, Cassie, what's going on? Cassie, Cassie, Cassie. I'm going to try to figure out what she's doing.
Starting point is 00:40:39 Sounds like she's opening up a gum wrapper. Oh, you went right there. I mean, you went specific as cool. It's like a rapper of some sort. Cassie. famous Cassies Cassie the singer Cassie Ashton
Starting point is 00:40:51 Oh good one That's it Cassie Cali Cassie Benita Where I used to go have Mexican food That's Casa Isn't it Shut up dude
Starting point is 00:40:58 I'm white Cassie Cassie Cassie The dog Lassie's girlfriend That's Lassie's girlfriend Lasty's girlfriend
Starting point is 00:41:07 In the cartoon Lassie and Cassie I made that up Cassie Hey Cassie I think Cassie was on Survivor She had glasses Are there any other Cassie's
Starting point is 00:41:17 I don't like so, man. Because it's a, I feel like it's a pretty familiar common name, but I guess when you have to, like, get him. Cassie. Cassie. She's there. I know, I know. I'm just kind of chilling. Sounds like she's going through her glove box.
Starting point is 00:41:37 Oh, now we have a new. Interesting. I feel like she laid her phone down, and now she's in the, oh, Abby picked her up. Well, she could hear me. Now she could hear me. Cassie Ward. You just Google that. Girl, I know.
Starting point is 00:41:53 Okay, I googled this. The most famous Cassie is Cassie Stee. Never heard of her. Me either. Degrassi, Degrassi Cassie? Is that a, who was on that? Drake? Drake was on that?
Starting point is 00:42:05 Degrassi. Hey, you can pick her back up. Hey, Cassie. Yeah, she can't hear us. Cassie can't hear us? No. Oh, so it's a phone thing? Yeah, the phone's not functioning with it.
Starting point is 00:42:15 So could she hear you, Abby? Yeah. Okay. Okay, ask her a question and then tell her to talk once you put her back on hold and we'll put her back up. Ask her a question? Say, hey, I'm going to ask her the question. Hey, tell Bobby why you called. Oh, got you.
Starting point is 00:42:29 I got you. And then put her back on. Okay, go. Okay. I guess you could do it right. Yeah. It's old school. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:42:36 Well, like 1920s, not even us. Abby's talking to her. So you're going to ask Abby the question. This is how they do it in the U.N. Oh, she's asking Abby the question. She's my translator. I got it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:42:56 Yeah, go. Go, Cassie, go. Bobby, hi. My name's Cassie. I'm from Ohio. I was, I have a sign from the show. I've been a longtime listener. And I was deliberating about getting a tattoo.
Starting point is 00:43:12 Not my first one, but I was like, I don't need another one, all these things. A lot of things went into it. And I had gone back and forth, back and forth. And, like, everybody knew about that in my life. And I was going back and forth, back and forth. and I was listening to the show on my way home from work one day, and you were interviewing an artist. I cannot remember which artist.
Starting point is 00:43:31 And you asked something about either what tattoo they would get or something about a Bible verse. And literally, whatever artist it was, was like, oh, that would definitely have to be Philippians 4,6. Like, he read it verbatim the tattoo that I was thinking, that I'd been thinking about on and off for months. and so it was incredible that I had literally just been talking about it before I left work and then I get home or I'm on my way home and all of a sudden you guys are talking about it. Okay, okay. Abby, can you hear me, Abby? Tell her I heard what she said. You can turn Abby's mic on to. Abby, you say, I heard what she said. Hello, can you hear me? Okay, tell her, I don't know if that was our show.
Starting point is 00:44:17 It was. It was. It sounds familiar. I know, but who was it? We don't know what artist it was. Wait, hold on. It was like, he was younger. Like, maybe Dylan. Tucker Wetmore. Yeah, was it because it's a football thing?
Starting point is 00:44:29 And, you know, he had prayed to God. And so that verse is, do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition, with Thanksgiving, present your request to God. On Thanksgiving Day only? No, no, no, with gratitude. I'm totally confusing. Okay, so this is what I would say. Hey, Abby, say to her, say, you're going to ask her a question, then you're going to put her on hold, and in five seconds, answer the question. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:51 Yeah. Okay. Hold on. The question is, how bad does she really want the tattoo and does it mean a lot to her? Tattoo. What? She already got the tattoo. Okay.
Starting point is 00:45:06 She ended up getting it. This was the sign that she got from our. So, Tucker was the sign. Yes. Oh, then I'm not going to say, don't listen to us for signs. Tell her that was a great sign. It was a great sign. And we're happy she got it.
Starting point is 00:45:17 And is she happy with how it turned out? Are you happy with how it turned out? Yes. It's what she needed, the sign she needed. She's glad she got it. That's perfect. It was absolutely a sign. And we all believe in.
Starting point is 00:45:29 nine's and we believe in her. We believe in her. Okay. Thank you, Abby. And what's her name again? Cassie. Thanks, Cassie. Thank you, Cassie. Bye. Bye. Bye. There we go. Dude. We're nailing this stuff. Oh, yeah. Flawless. So smooth. Thank you. All right. A win is a win. A win. A win is a win. I don't care which I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clever Taylor the fourth. Starting point is 00:50:38 on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Bobby Bone Show. Bonehead. This story comes us from Oceanside, California. Two men were in a little small plane flying from Mesa, Arizona, back to San Diego. Engine trouble. Hey, we're going to have to land this thing on the road. We're going to have to land this thing on the road.
Starting point is 00:51:01 Crazy. So they clear traffic and they landed on the road. So what's the problem, guys? How are they the bonehead? Police arrive on the scene. They start looking through the plane. backpack full of cocaine. Yeah, they were smuggling.
Starting point is 00:51:13 See, when you land, and I assume, were the police there right when they were. Yeah, yeah, yeah. They had traffic blocked off so they could land. Then they were looking through the plane and found the backpack. You got to make a tough decision. And I think the decision is when you're getting low, you chunk the backpack and try to remember where it is. Like look at the house that it landed by? Well, hopefully over some sort of field because you're on a highway.
Starting point is 00:51:32 Yes, yes, that'd be nice. Because I don't know that they're going to be watching a backpack coming out of a plane like they do a car when they're pulling it over. because I think they're just trying to make sure the plane can land safely. So you've got to chunk that backpack and then hopefully go find it. Man, I would think they were just too panicky about the crash landing and then trying to get rid of the drugs. I don't think so. I think if they're clearing out, okay, we got a runway and you're a pilot, that's enough room. I think they're probably like, oh, good, we have somewhere we can land more than they're about to die.
Starting point is 00:51:58 About to die is your landing gear won't go down and your engine's dead. Like, and there's nowhere to land. There's water. I mean, they're looking like, oh, man, we made it. The drugs. The background. I know. Backpack.
Starting point is 00:52:09 Oh, my gosh. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Amy has an interesting theory about lunchbox here on the show. What would that be? He needs more hugs. From all of us? Anybody.
Starting point is 00:52:22 Why is that? We could help out. We could start today. More hugs equals less sickness. I saw this whole study about how people who receive a lot of hugs are not only better at managing stress, but they have a stronger immune system. And Lord knows he needs that. Yeah. How you feeling for me? I feel good, man.
Starting point is 00:52:40 I feel like the ah was even like a clear. No, I just don't understand why you think I need hugs. I get hugs all the time. Why? It reduces the risk of infection, especially during times of... I really thought hugs would get you more sick because people's germs be rubbing off all all up on you. No, we're supposed to find your infected areas and hug those apparently. Yeah. Yeah, it sounds like... I'm going to check out of that one, though, guys.
Starting point is 00:53:01 Me too. And we can do it. I don't want to hug out his infected parts? Well, don't you think it'll help us all? Because then if we're hugging him, he's hugging us, and we're all getting hugs and we're all doing better. Yeah, and then somebody goes to HR. I've seen this play out. It's always somebody's idea,
Starting point is 00:53:13 then somebody ends up in HR. You print this out. Somebody was touched inappropriately. Hug too long. Okay. Well, you can't show HR the study? I think they just could say, well, you printed that out
Starting point is 00:53:25 and made it up yourself. Okay. You know? Also, I don't even know who HR is anymore around here. Right, no clue. Honestly, I think I'm HR. No.
Starting point is 00:53:31 Oh, that's terrible. No, I think I am. I think I'm HR now around the building, so you guys let me know what you need. Anybody have given you any problem. I'll take care of it. We're done, and we will see you tomorrow. Bye, everybody.
