Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed human. Wake up, you wake up in the morning. And then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. Keeps on turn. Then you're here. Eddie and me lunchbox, more game two. Steve Reddavit's trying to put you through.
Starting point is 00:00:21 Mike D's writing this week's next bit. Now Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. This is the Bobby Vaughn store. I screwed up. And when I realized I screwed up, I hung my head in shame. Now, I want to tell you what happened. We had a listener that called us late last week. She was not asking for money,
Starting point is 00:00:46 which is why I was more than happy to give it to her. She was asking about how people feel about teachers going, hey, do you mind helping me with my Amazon wish list? And I was like, don't be embarrassed. People don't have to do it if they don't want to. And so we talk about what she does, why she's teaching. And I'm like, let me just cover your whole list. And so here's that.
Starting point is 00:01:06 Do you have a Venmo? Oh, my gosh. Here we go. Oh, my God. I know you're not asking for anything, so I don't mind. Don't say it on the air. But if I put you on hold, I'm just asking if you have a Venmo or PayPal. Which one do you have?
Starting point is 00:01:18 I have Venmo. You're going to make me close. How much is your whole list? I don't know if I can do the whole list if it's like a million dollars. Yeah, do you already have it put together. Do you need me to build your whole school? I can't do that. I do.
Starting point is 00:01:28 Okay, how much do you need? I don't want you to pay for all of it. It's about $4 to $500 for everything. Okay, I'm going to send you $500. I'm going to have them leave your Venmo. Don't hang up. So, she leaves a Venmo, I send her $500. And I go look at it.
Starting point is 00:01:46 And on Venmo, there's a little box where you can write a little message back. And I'm like, I figure she'll click the heart or say thank you or something. I sent it to the wrong person. No. Yeah. So get this. What do you mean? Here we go. Now you're going to do another $5,000.
Starting point is 00:02:01 I already did. So you get the other $5.000? No, because listen. You got to say fraud alert. You got to hit Venmo. Tell them. So this is what happened. Oh, my gosh. I sent her the money.
Starting point is 00:02:11 I was happy to do it. I'm blessed right now. So I'm happy to do it. And I love what she does. Thank God we have teachers that actually want to make differences. Because you could become pretty apathetic in that job. I get it. So I send her the money.
Starting point is 00:02:25 I go and look to make sure she has it. And they do that thing where it's like the last four digits of her. I don't know her phone number. I don't know her. I just know she's a teacher. So you just say confirm. Yeah, continue with that. What else?
Starting point is 00:02:34 What do I do? I'm not, I don't know her number. Hey, Abby, can you tell me the last four digits of her number? Well, no, I don't know that Abby knew it. She called her phone line. I had her Venmo. I typed it in. Boom, send her 500.
Starting point is 00:02:48 Get no message back. I'm like, well, that's weird. I think she was like, hey, if he sent it, it didn't come, like a day later. And I was like, man, Venmo must be broken. So I go and look at the... I'm going to say, this isn't it. I'm going to say her name is Wilson with two L's. And it's never spelled like that.
Starting point is 00:03:04 But let's say her name is spelled Wilson with two L's. Wilson with the one L is what I put because that was the natural guess. $500. So then... Oh my gosh. Then I see something on my algorithm on TikTok that's a cop going, hey, if anybody sends you money on TikTok, do not send it back to them. Because what they did is they stole a credit card.
Starting point is 00:03:22 They sent you the money. They said it was sent to you wrong. They get that money back. Then the card's canceled. And they just benefited it. And I'm like, Oh no, I'm not even doing fraud and I'm doing fraud. So the person that got the money, I'm going to pull my TikTok up here, that has kind of the same name.
Starting point is 00:03:37 Oh, I don't know why I did TikTok. Venmo. I send them a message. And I'm like, hey, I just sent you 500 bucks. This is not a scam. Don't send it back to me. Keep it. If you're having a rough week, I hope this makes your week better. And just so you know, it's not a scam.
Starting point is 00:03:54 Here's my Instagram name so you can see I'm not screwing with you. I hope this makes your week better. And what they say? I didn't even get a heart or anything. That's okay. That wasn't the point of it. Because they think it's a scam. When you say it's not a scam,
Starting point is 00:04:06 they're sure I think it's a scam. It's a scam of someone sends you money that you don't know. But that's why I put my name on Instagram as well and was like, A, and I have like the verified thing on Venmo too. Do you always check your notes on Venmo though? I mean, do you,
Starting point is 00:04:22 Vindmo to me right now with you sounds like social media. My friends put funny messages in Venmo's all the time that I can't say. Okay, so that's why you pay more attention to that. The girl that I sent it to, I wrote, so I was out $1,000 for a $500. My goodness. Well, you know, I think you have to look at it that way. She, she, she, she, she, she, helped her. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:04:45 She needed it. I said her $1. You have to send a dollar to send a message. And this is the dollar. I sent $1 said accidentally sent you $500. Keep it. I hope it helps. One letter off.
Starting point is 00:04:54 If you're having a bad week, I hope this makes it better. To show it's not a scam, my name is at Mr. Bobby Bones on Instagram. keep the money. That's what I said. It sent her $1. I'm so stupid. Dude, you made her day. I hope she had some bills. She was fighting to pay and I hope it helps. I hope she's not like some trust fund kid who's like, another 500. I can put it toward a Louie. So that was the situation. When I realized that I felt so dumb because I missed the other girl Hannah's name by one letter. So I sent her 500 and was like sorry. I think the real Hannah thought I was on the air going, I got you and not getting her. Oh yeah. You know that that was probably awkward for her to be like so I don't, I don't. If he said
Starting point is 00:05:30 I didn't get it. Yeah. So that was it. That was part of the weekend. Wow. That's a good weekend. But hit us up if you want. 877-77 Bobby.
Starting point is 00:05:40 Time for the news. Bobby's big. Stories. The latest on the Donald Trump assassination attempt. Now this is as of now. Things are fluid as they have been. The former president is fine. After a bullet appears, the top part of his right ear.
Starting point is 00:05:55 One man was killed. Two others were critically wounded. In a post, Trump said, I knew that something was wrong, I heard a whizzing sound, then shots, and immediately felt the bullet. End of that quote. What I think a lot of people don't know because the internet is so conspiracy filled, mostly it's Facebook and Twitter now. When they were like, he was hit before the shots rang. Yeah, that's called what happens with a gun.
Starting point is 00:06:21 It travels faster than sound does. And so anyone that's ever had guns realizes that. if you see someone shoot anything from far away the sound is the last thing that you hear so the guy's name was Matthew it was Thomas Matthew Crooks what was also wild was people were falsely identifying another guy
Starting point is 00:06:43 the guy was like that wasn't me he was 20 years old from Bethel Park Pennsylvania an hour south of Butler he was killed by a secret service sniper now I'm just going to read news this show is not a political show I do I love politics. We don't talk about it on the show. I want this to be an inclusive place for everybody, which is why we don't talk about it on this show. This is bigger than politics,
Starting point is 00:07:03 so I'm just going to read the news as is. And we're not going to even offer this on social media because it gets really ugly. If I were just to go, there are two presidential candidates. So just know that I'm just reading the news. Crooks was working as a dietary aide at a nursing home. He was a member of a local gun club at the time of the shooting. He was wearing a t-shirt from a gun-related YouTube channel called Demolition Ranch. He was a registered Republican. Authorities have raided his home. There's no word yet on a motive for the shooting.
Starting point is 00:07:35 So how did he do it? The question asks. He was able to climb to the roof of a building only about 164 yards from where Trump was speaking with an AR-15 rifle. Look at me, a little commentary. It's crazy that I saw videos, people noticing him. Yeah. And they did.
Starting point is 00:07:48 That's wild. Yep. People noticed him before the Secret Service noticed him. one guy interviewed by the BBC said that he and other spectators saw Crooks climb the building with his rifle, tried to alert police, but he was still able to fire off several rounds. The sheriff of Butler County says that one local police officer was hoisted on the shoulders of another look on the roof, but he dropped back down after Crooks, the guy on the top pointed the rifle at him. That's when he started shooting. The gun was registered at Crooks' father. Police found explosives in his car and his home.
Starting point is 00:08:20 That's the new story. What I did that was a bit, and we're a very anti-exam. assassination show here. I think we all kind of agree on. 100% we are it's just it's terribly sad that this
Starting point is 00:08:32 I mean it's not like the first time it's happened either. I mean Reagan, his guy, Brady got shot. Not Tom. His Secret Service guy. Oh yeah, yeah. Like, it's happened. It's always been terrible when it happened.
Starting point is 00:08:46 Lincoln? JFK. JFK, yeah. We were in Dallas and Eddie wanted to go look to see where that happened. It had nothing to do with this. It was like two days before. It was like, how?
Starting point is 00:08:53 was two days before. I was like, I don't want to go there and see that. But what happened to me was it seemed a bit insensitive. On Saturday, we were in the baseball stadium. There was no cell. And I had posted probably two hours before this. I'd posted on Twitter a picture of like the game. And I was with Terrell Owens and Kane Brown who were playing the game with.
Starting point is 00:09:14 I was like, where it's game? And it wouldn't post because there was no cell. And then like 10 minutes after the assassination attempt happened, my picture posted, I didn't realize it. I thought I posted two hours ago. And then I was getting hit up like, hey, do you realize there was a assassination? Like, toned out. And I'm like, oh, my God, that went across it the exact wrong time.
Starting point is 00:09:31 Oh, man. Thought it deleted it. It was not the move for me, I guarantee you. So, Trump was playing golf the next day. So happy that it did not, and it was not as bad as it potentially could have been. Because it was very, very close. But that's the news. I'll move on without giving any more opinion.
Starting point is 00:09:51 Richard Simmons died at 76. You know, I guess I wasn't sure he was alive. He went missing for a long time. And I think he was sick too. Yeah, he went missing a long time where people wondered if he was alive. Then he came back quickly and the new died. Yeah, I'm with you. I think if we had played alive or dead, I'm not sure I would have known,
Starting point is 00:10:12 but mainly because of the missing and the, like Eddie said, the illness. But he, I used to do his workouts. Massive and I was younger. Really? Massive. Yeah, because my mom would have him. He was just a lot of fun. And then behind the scenes, I think a lot of stuff I've heard about him is just how kind he was and wanted to his fans and like he would call them and encourage them.
Starting point is 00:10:32 And if they weren't feeling well, he just wanted to be a source of encouragement for people. He died. Shannon Doherty died from Beverly Hills 90210 at 53. She had been battling breast cancer for a long time. Her publicist confirmed that she died on Saturday after many years of fighting the disease. Dr. Ruth died. Yeah. Saw that. Yeah, three people.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Well, Dr. Ruth died too. Yeah, so. Dr. Ruth was like almost 100, though. Yeah, she was old. And, like, she was, like, old even when she was wildly famous, and she would do, I'm Dr. Ruth. Let's talk about sex. Jelly Roll performs a pop-up show after the Morgan Wallin show was canceled. So, Friday afternoon, Morgan Wallen canceled a show on Tampa, said he was sick.
Starting point is 00:11:21 So Jelly Roll was going to be playing that show as well, I believe, as, like, the main support. court if I'm correct and then was like well let's just do something and so they found a club and anybody that had a ticket could come up and he did a show for those people that's so cool super cool that's from the boot jelly roll stepped it up on Friday night
Starting point is 00:11:39 I'm gonna gingerly talk about this and I'm gonna ask the peanut gallery table over there to hang back on comments you got it because you guys will sometimes get me in trouble Amy you're good a furious wife has hacked off her husband's penis after he allegedly said another woman's name during doing it time. The unnamed couple who
Starting point is 00:12:02 were in their home, the husband said the other woman's name, his wife went into a rage, waited for him to fall asleep, and then took a knife from the kitchen. No, this is so terrible. This is from Daily Mail. This is terrible.
Starting point is 00:12:15 Police shared images, which I did not click into. Neighbors rushed to the screaming man's aid and took him to the hospital. Local media reported that doctors tried reattaching it, but were unsuccessful. The furious wife told police my husband was saying his mistress's name, not mine.
Starting point is 00:12:30 I was influenced by alcohol, but I knew what I was doing. Well, there you go. She has admitted to the act. And do you have to get permission for the police to release those photos or is it not a That's very private.
Starting point is 00:12:46 Right? And they said they couldn't fix it? No, they couldn't reattach it. Oh my goodness. Kevin Costner's next Horizon film is canceled. Wait, what? The first one, Mike D. said did not do well. So the second one, they went ahead and no more will hit. But he put all his money into it and did the home.
Starting point is 00:13:05 I know. Okay. So the Hollywood reporter says Kevin Costner's Horizon and American Saga chapter 2 won't hit theaters on August 16th as scheduled. That's a bummer for him. I never sold the first one. Didn't either. That's from Vulture. So it'll never be seen?
Starting point is 00:13:20 But it's done, right? Yeah. They'll make more money by not putting it out and writing it off at the total loss and they will by putting it out and making any money. I mean, I know you've shared stuff like that before, like why a movie company would do that with a movie? Let's say they're going to make one-fifth of the money that they put into the movie when they put it out, all costs. So they're going to make one-fits. It's a $100 million movie. They're going to make $20 million.
Starting point is 00:13:41 They can do that, or they can write the whole $100 million off and basically say $50 million on taxes when they pay their taxes. So the easy thing is don't put it out, and you're plus $30 million than if you'd put it out. Oh, that's got to be heartbreaking for him. He seemed very passionate about his project. He did, yeah, he put a lot of money into it. That's the news. Those were Bobby's Big. Stories.
Starting point is 00:14:05 We can check in. I went to Tucson and worked out with the University of Arizona. It was amazing. They were so much fun. We did a last minute. We put a podcast together. We didn't even know where we're going to do it. We've never done a live podcast before.
Starting point is 00:14:16 But we were like, we're going to go to Brother John's, right? Brother John's barbecue. Yeah, they had a stage. I want to say thank you to the city of Tucson. There wasn't an open table. It was standing room only. we had no idea what we were doing. We didn't even know what equipment was going to be there,
Starting point is 00:14:30 but made it work and stayed and took pictures for like two hours. It was a really great event. That's awesome. University of Arizona, A-plus, and then everybody at 92-9, the Bull, thank you very much. It was great. Then flew to Dallas and played in the All-Star Weekend, Major League Baseball, Celebrity Softball game. And it's pretty cool. Like on the other team, Tiffany Haddish, you know her?
Starting point is 00:14:50 Yeah. Comedian Pedro Martinez. Who, what are those guys who make all the trick shots? Oh, dude. Perfect. A couple guys from dude perfect. Oh, I love them. Yeah. Yeah, they're good. They're athletes, too. And we had Dez Bryant and T.O. on my team and Dionne Sanders was coaching it. So, and I know Dionne, it was awesome. And it was the most fun I ever had. I mean, it was top 10 night of my life. Wow. I was worried, all I wanted to do was start, because we had 13 players on our team. And all I
Starting point is 00:15:16 wanted to do was start, Kane Brown, just Kane Brown was on our team. I just wanted to start. There only nine positions. I just wanted to start. And I played well and I ended up winning the MVP of the whole game. Okay. So that's just not your team. It's the whole game. The whole game. The whole game. Dang. So what earns you that? I had a home run. I had a triple. I made like five crazy plays in the field. Did you die? Yeah. My knees are bloody. I was on fire. I could not believe it. What do you think that was? It was the greatest athletic night of my life. You think it was? You think it was. adrenaline. I mean, you're athletic. No, it's the training he's been doing.
Starting point is 00:15:54 I've been training. That's true. Yeah. You're a rec league. Yeah, well, in the home run, my triple, it won hop the fence. That was a little more, but my home run, the person dove and couldn't get to it in time, so I just ran all the bases. Here's a clip of me, and Dion was doing some of the commentary at the table. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:16:10 Bobby laced him off the-up. They put the big home run hat. I was crazy. I was like, this is crazy. So you good to keep that belt forever? Yeah. And I had like Tio and Des and everybody sign it, the back of it. And then I come up again and I'm like,
Starting point is 00:16:41 I screw it, let's just swing away. There's a drive from Bobby Bones. Over the head, King Bach and right field. Bones looking to make it a triple. Driving in two, extending the lead to eight to two, Bobby Bones. He can do it all. Radio personality. He sings and he mashes the softball.
Starting point is 00:16:59 I don't really sing, but thanks. He can do it all. Yeah, I can do it all. And then, I didn't know. I was playing good, but, you know, I figure they'd give the MVP to somebody a little more. famous. But they did, and they were like, you're the MVP. And so I go up and I do an interview, a postgame interview. Bobby, how good does that belt feel on your shoulder? This is a team belt.
Starting point is 00:17:21 Mero came out. He said, what up? He said, calm down. He told me Pedro only was missing one toe. Focus in. Coach Prime. Wes, all my guys, this is for you, but I'm taking it home. In that last inning, they were mounting the comeback. I felt like Blue was not giving me the strikes he was giving me innings one through four i think he wanted to see a close game but you know i did that for all the babies i haven't been born yet all over america for the next 10 years that's for you kids all about the future bobby are you coming back next year if i get invited back i'm usually not invited back but let's hope there's a crazy night i couldn't believe it so mvp you'll for sure get invited back i can't believe it it was it was it was it was the most bizarre absurd night i've
Starting point is 00:18:11 ever had athletically um and then you know what then i walked with the bell? and they took me to the drawing out of the wrong hotel and had to walk back to my hotel with the belt on my shoulder. It was crazy. But it was a lot of fun and I get to keep the belt. And it's a big wrestling, WWE.
Starting point is 00:18:27 It's like the real championship belt except they made it to say MVP on the sides of it. But it was crazy. You know, it's bedazzled. And like I posted a picture of like Des Bryant and I doing like I jumped as high as I could
Starting point is 00:18:39 and we like chest bumped. I don't know. I don't remember looking that cool when I did in real life. It was a pretty cool picture. though on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones. But that's the weekend. It was an excellent, excellent weekend. And I just wanted to start.
Starting point is 00:18:51 And I just wanted to hit the ball on the ground. That's all I wanted to do. I told Eddie, if I don't start it, I'd be so embarrassed. I came all the way over here. And then I pitched, and they had us moving around position. So I pitched the first inning. And then they were moving people to make sure everybody could play. So they put me in center field next. And then Deion's like, no, no, no, don't leave the mound. Because I made a couple good plays.
Starting point is 00:19:07 But he was like, don't leave the mound. We won. It was good. Were you pitching underhand? Yeah, like softball. But they had Jenny Finch pitching and Pedro Martinez. and so sometimes they would throw fast at us because we jumped out pretty quick. Yeah, so it was really, really.
Starting point is 00:19:22 It was a top 10 of my life night. I mean, that's awesome to experience something top 10 already, you know, like that because I would assume your wedding. I'm not doing this game here because I said that. Yeah, Amy, this is something. Like we don't want to. Not doing this game. I will think about that and make that list,
Starting point is 00:19:37 but not playing that game right in a second. But, yeah, you got engaged probably. Oh, yeah, that's a good one too. See, that's why I don't do that game. Yes. Fighting, dancing with the stars. That was good. That was good.
Starting point is 00:19:50 This was like something athletic, though. And I was playing with other athletes. And they were like, after the first inning, they were like, like I was one of them. Like T.O. and Des. It's like your dream. But you are. But I've been training. Be like pickleball.
Starting point is 00:20:03 Hey, I've been training. You always make fun of me for training. This is one of those moments where I feel like I'm having to bite my tongue for a second. Because it's like, yeah, you're always like, training for what? And now you can be like this. Life. You never know. How was your weekend?
Starting point is 00:20:17 It was really good. I would say, my headline for my weekend be holes in my hoses. There's some holes in them hosts. There's some holes in them host. So my yard, it's dead. It's so hot here. And I guess you some more rain and there's patches that are dead.
Starting point is 00:20:36 Oh, your water hoses. Yeah. And I got holes in my hoses. I thought you're talking about panty hoses. Yeah, me too. I was like, what? No, but I guess I...
Starting point is 00:20:45 No, I don't know how they got punctured, but they were fine and I had gone to Home Depot, I got all this stuff. I mean, I am set and I'm determined to get my yard in good condition.
Starting point is 00:20:55 And I go and I hear this noise. I'm like, what's this noise? And I flip over the hose and like, I get splashed in the face because there's a hole in the hose. There's some holes in these holes. So, and then I went in the bag there's another hole in the hose.
Starting point is 00:21:06 So I'm just, yeah, that was my weekend. It's like, all I think about is my yard. I wake up. It's the first thing you do because the best time to water is between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. So if anything after that, it's just going to evaporate right up.
Starting point is 00:21:20 You sound like a dad of three right now. I know. I stand outside with my coffee and I watch the water. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. And I'm like, who am I? Let's go over to Eddie. Eddie, how was your weekend? It was good, man. I went to go to Dallas with you to see you be MVP.
Starting point is 00:21:33 So that was awesome. But what's crazy is the flight there. I had, it was like Southwest. So I had the out of the window seat. And then our buddy Kevin, had the aisle seat so the middle one was wide open and the plane fills up and a lady's like oh can I sit there sure no problem
Starting point is 00:21:49 she's sweet as can be she's so nice she talks to us oh great great great whatever we take off and then she gets her phone out and starts watching a movie no headphones hilarious the whole flight bones she's watching a movie loud as can be okay surprised the flight attendant and say
Starting point is 00:22:07 yeah usually they come by and say hey ma'am yeah they tap them on the shoulder I've seen it before not this time they go excuse me Can you put headphones or turn that down? What if they don't have any? Turn it off. So do you watch it with her? No.
Starting point is 00:22:18 I put my headphones on and like I just listen to my own music. Was she being inconsiderate or do you think she just didn't know? I think what happened was she was one of the last people to get on the plane. So when her bags were how to go on top, they put it all the way in the back so she didn't have headphones. She didn't have access to her stuff. And then what was really funny too is she liked the window open. And I do too. I like the window open.
Starting point is 00:22:38 No problem. I like looking out. And then when we were passing over some like canyons or whatever, She wanted to look out the window. She gets like two inches from my face. She's in a lap. Starts looking out the window right by my face. So we're flying and same thing.
Starting point is 00:22:54 I'm on the window. Mike D is on the edge. We leave the middle open hoping that nobody sits in the middle. At the end they go, this is a full flight. And I'm like, ah, crap. Okay, so someone's going to sit in the middle. And then I see Mike D get up and leave the aisle and go sit across. And I'm like, well, a dad and his son then take those two seats.
Starting point is 00:23:10 And I'm like, oh, that was nice on Mike D. He let a dad and his son sit there. I guess they wanted to sit together and couldn't. Wasn't the case at all because what had happened was, and Mike, tell me your version of this, the guy was upset where he was sitting. Yeah, the guy next to him was like a bigger guy and he said that I don't feel comfortable here. And he asked the flight, he asked the flight attendant to have that guy be moved somewhere else. Because he was bigger. Oh, my goodness.
Starting point is 00:23:31 So was he loud about it? Oh, yeah. He was really upset. He was kind of like a little baby. Was the bigger guy? I would have been so embarrassed. He was so embarrassed because he was sitting there and he was. He's like, I'm in my seat.
Starting point is 00:23:44 Like, what do you want me to do? Was he big enough where he was coming into the other seat? I didn't think so. Well, so did you volunteer and just say, hey, I'll sit there? No, the flight attendant tried to defuse the situation. And she looked at over at our aisle, saw there was an empty seat. Like, hey, you move here, you move there. He was being such a douche.
Starting point is 00:24:00 He loudly said, I don't want to sit next to the guy because he's fat. Yeah, he was embarrassing the guy. That's so. So I didn't know this. He sits next to me. It's him and his kid. And the dad's in the middle. He's on his laptop.
Starting point is 00:24:10 And he's totally hogging the armrest, which I'm okay. with because if you call, if you're there first, they're yours. Sure. So, but he's on his computer and he's working. So I get that. You kind of need little elbows to work. I work on my computer sometimes too. So I got my elbows inside. I didn't know this whole thing happened though. And he keeps sticking his elbows into my elbows and my elbows are in my seat. I'm like, screw this. So then I start to push back for like the last 15 minutes of flight. We're just shoving elbows against each other. Nobody looked at each other. Nobody said anything. We're just fighting elbows. And I tell Mike, I was like, man, I felt bad for that guy. He didn't have elbow room. But
Starting point is 00:24:42 we started push and Mike's like that guy was a douche. Like he made the guy that was overweight feel like crap. So I wish that I would have just pushed harder. Yeah, you're so close. I think that's what it was. He wanted to sprawl out. Oh, he was sprawled. He was sprawled into my...
Starting point is 00:24:56 But I just thought it was because he was working. I realized he was the douchebag of the year, 2024. Yeah, that sucks. That sucks to that guy too. That's just trying to fly. And then the guy calls him out. It's terrible. Yeah, I don't like that very much.
Starting point is 00:25:08 I mean, gosh, he's got his son with him. And so then that's the type of behavior. His son sees. and then this is, let's hope that we break that pattern. I wouldn't have fought him. I just would have dug harder with the elbows. I could have taken him, though.
Starting point is 00:25:21 Oh, for sure. He's a little guy. He's a little stout, but he was short. I had taken him on a plane. Shoot. A muck shot, I'd have been smiling, too. I'd been one of those where it's like, you know, somebody just got arrested,
Starting point is 00:25:33 but they know they really didn't do anything wrong. That's what my mugshot would have been like. And so how many fights have you gotten into you in your entire life? Zero, zero. What do you mean? verbally? In his head. No, actual physical fights.
Starting point is 00:25:44 Or after I leave a situation and went, I wish I would have got done. A lot. But never, no, no, no, never won. Let's watch your weekend. Oh, it's a good weekend, man. I may become a rock climber. We went to this climbing place. Man, that was awesome.
Starting point is 00:25:56 Yeah, that seems like something you'd be good at. I suck at it. It seems like something you'd be good at, though. Like, the kids loved it. I thought it was so cool. And it was just, it was, I mean, they hook you up to a rope and say, go ahead and start climbing. I don't like height, so I'd get up there and I wouldn't let go.
Starting point is 00:26:09 Because you can just fall back. Yeah. And it is kind of slowly it down. I can't do it. They're like, we'll promise. It's okay. But let's like right up your alley. Lunch is like running.
Starting point is 00:26:21 Like, climbing. Like it's very European. Oh, am I? Am I European? No, but you know, you're like your sport choice is kind of European. Yeah, I'm not really the mainstream. I'm on the fringe over there.
Starting point is 00:26:33 You're underground. He's peanut tempe tacos. You're independent underground, you know? That's right. It's a vibe. Order two trays that you like eat food with in bed. Got like the wood tray. Got like the little legs that fold down from underneath it.
Starting point is 00:26:49 A TV tray? Yeah, sure. And so my wife doesn't want to like to eat in bed. I love to eat in bed. My favorite thing. But also I'm kind of messy. I think that's why she doesn't like to eat in bed. She probably doesn't when I'm not home.
Starting point is 00:26:59 But I'm kind of messy so I don't think she likes me to eat in bed. Is the tray the compromise? Yeah, so we ordered two trays and together they were like 30 bucks for the two wooden trays. They sent us 10 of them by accident. in. We got a huge box on the front porch. And I was like, what's in the box? She was like, I don't know. Who's it from? I said it's from Amazon. She goes, I didn't order anything except the TV trays. I look, well, those are some big trays? So we saved two at home, and I brought like six or seven in. Okay. What we can do, I mean, that's funny. So I have a whole stack
Starting point is 00:27:32 of them back here. They're these wooden trays. Oh, my gosh. I said how I was a kid. So, no, we're not taking them. We're going to give them to listeners. So what are we going to do as prizes we'll sign the tray as a show. There's a big gap. There's a big space to sign. And then we don't have our prizes to give away. So what does you stuff I got? First of all, should I return them?
Starting point is 00:27:55 Because I don't feel like Amazon cares. They're just going to put them in a big palette and the group of people are going to buy the palette and they're going to fight about it forever. They fight about it in a big way. Should I return the trays? That was a blow blow. Yes or no.
Starting point is 00:28:07 Seems like this is a good plan, I think. I feel like it's easier for them to if I don't turn them. They messed up. They don't care. It's not like it's a high dollar item. And I have aided them. Those are quality, man. Those are like bamboo. Solid wood. Bamboot. So when we play a game,
Starting point is 00:28:24 if any listener wants a tray, we'll sign the top of them. Or maybe under? No. No, the top, you want them to see it when you eat it. You can't see it if you sign it under. And they may not even eat off of it. They may put it up on their wall. I don't know. That's right. Dumbest prize ever. But I got extra ones. and I don't want to do with sending it back.
Starting point is 00:28:43 So that's where I am. So I got that and we'll sign those during the break. So if any of you guys want to play a game, try to win you a tray, I got them right here. We got to sign them though today. I was thinking about Jamie, though, because they're calling this boy sober summer.
Starting point is 00:28:59 You familiar? I'm not. I haven't heard of it, but I'm guessing if you're boy sober, that means you take the summer and don't date boys. Don't do boys. That's correct. So you go for girls?
Starting point is 00:29:11 No, you're just hitting with your friends. Sure, but it didn't say. I guess there are no rules on this. All right. Okay. Amy was talking about a date that she went on yesterday on her show. There's a new trend called Boy Sober Summer, which single women are abstaining from any relationships with men,
Starting point is 00:29:23 including dating and casual hookups. Voluntary celibacy, no dating, no online dating. Your thoughts. I mean, if you need it, I can see. I don't, I feel like I've been Boy Sober. Not that long. You were married for a bunch of years. then you got divorced?
Starting point is 00:29:42 Yes, over a year ago. Now you're at it. No, not really. That's what I mean that whole time. And then, I mean, yeah, I mean, if I think of how many dates my ex went out on. What would you be comparing yourself to him? Don't compare yourself to anybody else. Okay.
Starting point is 00:30:01 Well, that's probably why he's further along. Why are you comparing yourself to your ex? I'm not comparing myself at all, but I mean, I just wasn't dating. No, you can't. could have just said you were boy sober. That's what I said. That's my point. You were boys sober. I was. I feel like I've been boy sober, so I don't know that I'm going to participate in summer boy sober. Later on, we have some of the messages, guys of San Amy on Hinge, that Ray is going to narrate. Nice. That's going to be fun. Oh, boy. We're going to do that in just a few minutes.
Starting point is 00:30:31 So, okay, I wanted to bring up boy sober. I wanted to bring up the trays. And the other thing was the seafood story where they found there's a bunch of fiberglass and oysters and muscles. Ooh. Fiberglass from the, is it ending up in the ocean somehow? High levels of fiberglass have been found inside oysters and muscles for the first time. This is from the Journal of Hazardous Materials. Researchers discovered that as many as they give a bunch of particles. Yeah, because.
Starting point is 00:30:54 Litter. That's exactly it. And so in the oysters, and I like oysters. I like raw oysters with stuff all over them. You don't? No way. If I'm eating an oyster, it's fried. That's the only way.
Starting point is 00:31:08 Yeah, I don't like one. stuff on it, but I like it. I like to do stuff on it. But yeah, they're saying because of everything, they're getting to be asbestos. That's not good. Because of the high quality of pollutants in the water. How disgusting is that? Also, I don't like to eat oysters if I'm completely landlocked.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Like to eat by the ocean? Right, because like where are they coming from? How long did it take? If I go to California? If I go to Tulsa, I'm not reaching for the oysters first. If I'm in Arkansas, not jumping for the crab legs. I'm going to be honest with you. I like to be somewhere that's near water if I'm gonna do seafood
Starting point is 00:31:42 because I don't know how long and where those seafoods have been, you know? Yeah, I know, that one's a tricky one. I mean, I don't like hearing the stories of people eating oysters and then dying, raw. But that's like one, that's like a one and a million. It still makes you think like, what if you're the one person that ends up getting that?
Starting point is 00:32:01 Well, you guys want to sign the tray? Yeah. There you go. Oh, you used the fat sharpie. You took up the whole thing. I paid for it. Oh, that's good. You can, we'll do the program.
Starting point is 00:32:12 Well, you didn't, he paid. I took a small square in the whole thing. But you're about to draw the little radio man with the headphones. He's not a radio man. What is he? It's you. It's me. It's me.
Starting point is 00:32:21 You are a radio man. It's me and I draw headphones on it. I'm listening to the music. Okay, so. It's all right. There you go. Let's see it. Okay, mess with me.
Starting point is 00:32:28 You guys, none of you'll sign it. I didn't say anything. Hey, it would be me. You guys didn't buy it. Now you're all upset. Uber's apologized to a blind passenger who was dropped off at the wrong location and then abandoned. Eish. A Raleigh woman, her attorney, and her family demanded a public apology Tuesday from Uber.
Starting point is 00:32:46 I don't want more than that. After the woman who was blind was dropped off at the wrong location and abandoned by her driver. In May, Camille Richardson was trying to go to a Verizon store. She'd get a new phone. Instead, she was left an apartment complex more than a mile north of the store. Oh, man. She wants to make sure the driver can't strand another person. I'd need to know the story.
Starting point is 00:33:07 I don't know I'm letting that driver drive anymore. and all they wants a written apology. I mean, that Uber got lucky. It's all they wants a written apology. Richardson, who says she's always felt independent despite her blindness, said that this first time in her life she felt so helpless. She didn't even know where she is. They put her out. She thinks she's the Verizon store.
Starting point is 00:33:24 That's wild. At an apartment complex. Luckily nothing bad happened to her. W-R-A-L. Police recover more than $200,000 worth of stolen Lego sets. Boy, that's some black market goofiness, huh? That's weird. I mean, I guess if you go and you steal a bunch of Legos, you sell them on eBay or whatever.
Starting point is 00:33:43 That's considered black market. They're expensive. Yeah, Legos are not cheap. Yeah, Legos are not cheap. They are so... It's ridiculous. Do they make a secondary, like, junior varsity type of Lego? Like, Plego or something?
Starting point is 00:33:54 They have bigger ones that, like... Are they a Lego brand? Yeah, I don't think they do have a competitor, like a major competitor. What's it called? They're called Duplo. They're for toddlers, and Lego makes them. But Lego makes them. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:05 But is there a competitor. Is there a Lego competitor? Wow, they've cornered the market. That's where the void is. have a light bulb over your head right now? No, because I don't know enough about that world. No, because they'll crush you like the little cockroach you are. But that's not the point.
Starting point is 00:34:18 That's what they say in a shark tank. The point is all you have to do is like take just half a percentage of market share and then they buy you. It's not the point to take them over. They want to see you as a threat and then they're like, okay. A lot of people are like, well, you'll never take over. Yeah, no crap. I don't want to. I just want them to see me little bubble growing and then they buy you and you make like 10x and you're good.
Starting point is 00:34:38 That's nice. Yeah. I'm in. No, no, no, one, I don't want to be in and two. No, I was. A three-month investigation revealed that the owner of brick builders, a store on Eugene, Oregon, was knowingly buying new unopened Lego sets that were stolen from other stores for a fraction of the retail value. Hey, we're going to Eugene tomorrow.
Starting point is 00:34:58 Maybe we swing by old brick builders. That's probably not open anymore. This is from NBC News. Inside the store, police found 4,000 stolen sets of Legos valued at more than $200,000. The dude was just selling them on the store. storefront? Come on. The police said they worked with lost prevention from Target, Fred Meyer, Barnes & Noble, and Walmart to confirm that the sets had been stolen from their stores. Was he stealing pallets at a time? Four thousand? Somebody was stealing them and selling them to
Starting point is 00:35:23 him to him, but he knew what was going on. Yeah, he had a dude, his intern. Or he just, somebody else knew how to get them cheap and knew where to sell them. You don't have to be involved at every level to be involved in some way. A Costco membership will go up this fall. Thoughts? How much? doubling, I think. Doubling. What's it at now? It depends what level membership.
Starting point is 00:35:45 The Gold Star membership will go from $60 to $65. That's not doubling. $5 more. Well, the premium goes from $120 to $130. Okay, I was about to say. That's not doubling. That's why people just can't yell stuff on this show. I read doubling somewhere.
Starting point is 00:36:00 Well, they doubled $250? $2.50? I read double somewhere. In a survey, 36% of U.S. adults say they have a side hustle or work outside of a full-time job. I'm about to. Because you're chicken. I've got side hustles.
Starting point is 00:36:16 That chicken, that could be something cool. I know, dude. I cannot wait. Because he's not going to meet with you with no idea what you're even talking about. He knows exactly what we're talking about. He knows what you're talking about. He knows what we've been talking about. He knows the reach of the show.
Starting point is 00:36:30 He knows... And bones, that means that he's been brainstorming with his team and I've been brain... Well, not really. Are they like the Legos and then Eddie's trying to create a chicken bubble and so they buy them. They buy me out. There are a lot of chicken businesses. Right. I don't feel like Lego was the only building block business. I mean, Lincoln logs, they don't make those. Yeah, they do. They do. They're not exactly the same. Lincoln logs were so cool. You just basically make a cabin. They only really did. They were one shape. Yeah, they do. They're one size. I wasn't into that.
Starting point is 00:37:01 He has more, that's probably more of a dude thing, but Legos are kind of more of a dude thing a little bit, right? 70, 30 maybe? Yeah. Yeah, I guess the boys. I also wasn't into Barbie either. I don't know what I did. Where are you into, girl?
Starting point is 00:37:15 I don't know. Playing outside, I guess. I don't know. I wasn't ever into dull houses or building them. Okay. But like also I didn't want to like bake. I didn't have like an easy bake oven.
Starting point is 00:37:29 I didn't do. I'm trying to think back what I did. That didn't seem fun anyway, the easy bake oven sucks. Yeah. oven sucks. Yeah. And they were like, it can actually bake. And it had like, it'd take you like 10 years to bake a cookie.
Starting point is 00:37:39 Yeah. But I mean, I'd be excited about the Kroger thing. I would just go in, dude. We've talked about this, but I would just go in. You need to know what you want. You need to know what you can do. You need to know what you can provide. Because if you go on like, oh, man, it just has to be fun to come.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Nothing's going to happen. Yeah. So if you don't have answers for a lot of questions, nothing's going to happen. You don't have to have the ability to do it. But you at least have the ability to think of what you would do. if you had the ability to do it. Sure.
Starting point is 00:38:05 And I got my ideas. You don't. We've already talked about it. You don't have ideas. Oh, I've got ideas. What are your ideas? I have to give you like nine of them. I don't want to tell you guys the ideas here.
Starting point is 00:38:14 But oh, I've got ideas. My team has been brainstorming. Like maybe you have sauces and seasoning. Yeah, see, I thought about that as my backup backup. You branch out. You don't want to do chickens.
Starting point is 00:38:24 How about seasoning? But you never go into a meeting when they say, no, you don't want to do this. No, no, this is when they kick me out the door. Like when it's like, you know what? If they kick you out the door, they don't like you.
Starting point is 00:38:32 They don't want you. You start yelling like the down on the other. You'll see me. What you want to do are these chickens, but what you've also developed at the same time is a seasoning. Oh, dang, that's good. And you think that would be the perfect companion to these chickens. And I think eventually you could just be a seasoning business. But it's all a secret.
Starting point is 00:38:52 It's special. The seasoning? Yes. And if he says, let me see your recipe, you tell them no. When it's funny, like in reality, like a seasoning, all it is is just a mix of different seasonings that already exist. But you just put a little bit more of this than that. Exactly. You just, if you're not prepared, and you're not prepared, I can hear you talk about it.
Starting point is 00:39:08 You're not prepared. What do you mean? I've had to give you like your foundation for what you're even going to say. You're not prepared. Wow. Okay. You want to come with me? Oh my gosh. I've said I've gone with you. I wear a mustache. No, you just represent me. I'm a Robbie Roans. I'm as representative. I elbow you under the table. No, no, or dude. I whisper in your ear. That's what I'm saying. I wear one of those ear pieces. You sit in the car and you tell me what to say. Oh, like they do on, what's that show? Oh, practical joker?
Starting point is 00:39:34 Yeah, that's it. Yeah, Vones. So they asked the question, you hear it, and I, I filibuster. Let me think about that. And then you're telling me, and then I repeat it. Not a bad idea. That's not a bad idea, Vones. And then we start arguing.
Starting point is 00:39:47 I'm like, no, idiot. I'm not going to say that. I'll do that for 70% of the company. Oh, 10%. I'm out. What do you mean? You don't have to do anything. I'll do it for 10%.
Starting point is 00:39:57 10% and nothing. No, I'm not working with you lunch. No, no, I'm not. I'm not. Come, man. You know you're so knowledgeable in all this stuff. No, I'm not. I've just done it a bunch of times. It's not that I'm knowledgeable, but if you don't go into it, absolutely over-prepared with every answer possible and what your goals and ambitions are, what you can and can't do,
Starting point is 00:40:14 what you think will be an effective marketing strategy for it, how you can use that market. If you don't have all of that, they're going to kind of go, they already know you're not for real. No, they don't know I'm not for real. He does. I am for real, though. I am for real. I just have to convince them.
Starting point is 00:40:30 that this is possible. No, no, you're a real human, but you're not for real yet because you've done nothing to indicate that what you're doing is a for real thing. Oh, right. I see what you're saying. Yeah, but you can be. Yes. With the right partners based on what you can do and provide and how you can provide.
Starting point is 00:40:44 Yeah, you got it. Do you want to make me for real? No, no, no, no. That's the other question either. Oh, boy. But it would be hilarious. I'm rooting for you. Thank you, man.
Starting point is 00:40:54 Hey, just think about it. If you want to help me out, you know, and maybe do a little earpiece thing on my ear? You're going to offer. up a percentage. I know 10%. That's it? I just said that. I know, but I think higher. She'd do nothing. No, I think he, Bobby, do nothing. You're making, you're, he's, you're asking him to pitch the deal.
Starting point is 00:41:10 And neither are you. I think you need to talk. You're not working in the chicken either. So you want to go 70? What did you say 70%? I don't want to be a part of it. I just, I just, rootin for you. I don't, I don't be part of it. I'm good. I got enough crap going. Gosh, this could be huge, dude. It could, and I'm rooting for you. I'm rooting for you. Oh, finally,
Starting point is 00:41:25 Florida mom's been charged with inciting a riot upwards of 400 people at a skate. her ink. They canceled her daughter's 18 birthday party. Then she gets on social media. I'm like, let's all go. Oh, gosh. Shocking video footage emerged showing the moment that a riot broke out at the Astroskate in the Tampa Bay area leading to the arrest of 26 people. Cops confirmed Thursday that Stephanie Pedroso 36 has been arrested after she used her daughter's Instagram to encourage as many people as possible to turn up at the rink. To do what? Do they trash it?
Starting point is 00:41:54 So she said she was seeking, she was said to be seeking revenge on staff after they canceled the private party when they discovered it was a larger event than she had told them. So she lied or misled them originally. They said, oh, we can't do that once they learned about it. So she gets on Instagram and goes, or social media, whatever they're saying, and goes, let's go. Let's go anyway. And it turned to her riot. Of course it did. According to the owner, she became angry and started the live stream of her daughter's Instagram, urging people to come to the rink and confront law enforcement. Quote, why are people so emboldened to just be idiots now? I don't know. She came in, flipped out, cussed, and screamed to post a nonsense about coming to the skating rink the next night.
Starting point is 00:42:33 It looks like they did. Whoops. Yeah, that's tough. Like if you told me, dude, let's go riot. I'd be like, what are you talking about? I wouldn't say, okay, let's go. How do you get that many people to say, yeah? Okay, this sounds like a good idea.
Starting point is 00:42:48 Well, they didn't say riot. They just said show up. To do what? But then they rioted. Yeah, what do you think it's going to be? Once you get 400 people there and one person starts going crazy and you're like, yeah, I can go crazy too, because that person's going crazy. And it's domino effect. I don't even know.
Starting point is 00:43:01 I think 400. I think it was... That was like 400. That showed up? Yeah. I'm sure. Was that double... Did you double it?
Starting point is 00:43:11 Yeah. It could have been, but based on your numbers from earlier, we're just a little scared. You know, we're a little timid to go with what you said on the thing. It could have. I thought you said 400.
Starting point is 00:43:21 I thought you read it from the story. It could have. Yeah. Upwards. Of 400 people? Yeah. Yeah. Okay, whatever.
Starting point is 00:43:28 That's a lot of people. That's what I'm saying for a second. I don't have 400 people that would come. You can't be posted a high. I mean, really. And how many people are going to get so upset they're going to come and attack a skating rink? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:43:39 I think we're back to even now, lunchbox. Thank you. Yeah. Maybe our fact check me and they said I'm right. We're back to square one. We're back to square one. Bobby Bones show. Boney up the day.
Starting point is 00:43:49 This story comes us from California. A man has been on the run for two years from police. He's a dealer of certain substances. Drugs. Yeah. Why does he always? He's always like hide from words during this, but he does it any other time. Don't know.
Starting point is 00:44:03 Drug dealer, got it. Yeah. Yeah. And they've been on the run, him and his wife, and they still post to Instagram, but they couldn't track them. Yeah. Only problem is wife left on location this time. The middle of the night. I'll be so mad if I were him.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I'll do it. At your wife? I do stupid stuff all the time where I think my wife's like, wow. But I think I would feel that toward her that my wife feels toward me sometimes. Oh my gosh. You're running from the law. And you're doing it so efficiently. You're even posting on social media.
Starting point is 00:44:32 Like, catch me now. If you can. She leaves it on. Okay. So they catch her. They're right in the middle of the night. That's crazy. He's like, honey.
Starting point is 00:44:42 As he's getting taken. How did you get me? Location, Instagram. Oh. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day. What was your teenage obsession? Oh, those little Christmas tree air fresheners that you would hang from your rearview mirror.
Starting point is 00:44:58 Were they scratch? Or they just... No, I mean, you would just open them from the plastic and hang them up there and your whole car would smell like vanilla or whatever scent you wanted. But the yellow one was my favorite, which was vanilla.
Starting point is 00:45:08 And I couldn't wait to drive so that I could put my own scent in my car and everywhere I went. You knew it was my Bronco because I had the yellow Christmas tree and it smelled so good. Was there a green tree too? Yeah.

I'm like, great, cool.
Starting point is 00:45:37 What's hard for you to say or something when you say it's going to give us cancer? Because I don't know the details of why it's so carcinogenic. There's a specific thing that's in it. And I don't want to call one particular company out, but they do say that inhaling a lot of that. Starting point is 00:46:14 They have a leather one. That's nice. Strawberry. Vanilla aroma would be the yellow one. That was me. Royal Pine is the one that I remember. And the blue one was new car, new car scent.
Starting point is 00:46:26 I mean, they're all awesome. I just loved hanging those from my rearview mirror. And I know a lot of the other people like it too and you want your car to smell good. And I haven't tried this, but I did see a tip if you're wanting to avoid anything like this. The carcinogenic stuff, you put coffee beans in a cup or flavored or like cinnamon or something. Or something. She's giving us a lot of something. Well, because I haven't tried it. Okay, here's what we should do. Tomorrow, same time. Look up the information. Let us know what you learned. Starting point is 00:46:59 hanging, but tomorrow, give us the real information on this, okay? Okay, I will. Or something. Or something. I used to always hang a lay too. A what? The lays. Oh, the Hawaiian lays. But did you get it from Hawaii? No, I mean, it was probably a party we had or something, but that would hang, and then
