Movie Mike's Movie Podcast. You should go listen to it because he breaks down all The Oscars. I mean, nothing happened at the Oscars last night, worth mentioning. But he talks all about the Oscars.
Starting point is 00:03:35 You know the movie that we've had in our cue and we have not watched it? And she won for Best Actress Last Night is the Jessica Chastain movie, Eyes of Tammy Faye. You loved that, huh? I thought it was really good. So, and I thought, yeah, she did an amazing job. She deserved the win. Was the movie good? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:55 I mean, especially. I feel like you would like it because you're learning too. Like there's obviously some liberties because it's a movie and you can't know every single thing that happened in someone's life. But it is fascinating to see how they got together, her and her husband and their rise to fame and their fall and everything after that. Is it similar to Righteous Jimstones?
Starting point is 00:04:20 I mean, that show is so funny. So funny. That show is so funny. Righteous Jimstones is clearly to the, the extreme. But I would say there is some similarities. I remember Jim Baker, massive, mega preacher. There are some similarities. I mean, but that show is completely ridiculous, you know? I hope a lot of that stuff is not real, but that's what's so funny about it is they're making so much fun of it. So check out Movie Mike's Movie Podcast to hear about that.
Starting point is 00:04:51 And then the worst movie theater experiences of all time, movies you watched and wanted your money back. For me, that would be, what was the Ben Stiller superhero movie, Mike? Mystery Men. Terrible, walked out. The other one was The Incredible Hulk with Eric Banna. Terrible, walked out. Those are the two for me. You?
Starting point is 00:05:14 Any movie you thought was so bad you left? Yeah. Whatever you loved, it was that one about the aliens and like nine. District 9. District. That was awesome. That was so bad. That's awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:25 Walked out. Yeah, loser. Matrix and the movie theater. What's wrong with you? No. You know that's a widely loved, universally loved a movie. I know, but when I went to see it in the movie theater, I... And I'm not saying you have to love it because everybody else did,
Starting point is 00:05:39 but I think you just say that because you want people to be like, what? No, I'm not saying that. You think that maybe you just don't understand these movies? No, I think... I didn't... I could prop... Okay, don't... It's over my head, so I'm not into it.
Starting point is 00:05:51 I'm saying, maybe you didn't like... Like complicated films. Okay. I think now I might be more into the Matrix than I was when I was 17. That's probably the difference. I was a little bored by it. I should re-watch it.
Starting point is 00:06:06 Okay, but you say you think now, but you don't know, you haven't seen it. Napoleon Dynamite, when I saw it in the theater, fell asleep. But watched it later, loved it. But I would say similar. When I watched Napoleon Dynamite the very first time, I was like, what the crap was that? But that was one when everybody started watching it and quoting it,
Starting point is 00:06:21 it got funnier. Okay, so maybe I need to give Matrix another try. I just don't think you're It was the 90s Oh your wild days You're thinking about other stuff I think that's probably just not your kind of movie Because both of those are sci-fi-e
Starting point is 00:06:35 Yeah It's not a buck over your head I like sci-fi hunger games Elementary sci-fi That's teen book Yeah Anyway Check out movie Mike's movie podcast
Starting point is 00:06:48 Speaking of movies This guy argues over a movie theater seat And I saw this story on TikTok It's more of a what would you do in this situation. What I like about some theaters, and I don't like one of the movies anymore, but I guess the last time I went, I watched Fast and Furious Nine for Mike's birthday. I would have walked out of that probably. Yeah, but Mike rented the theater for us or his wife did.
Starting point is 00:07:10 I have to stay. It was also cheaper to rent a theater back then. For all of us than all of us to buy tickets. I wonder if it's still that cheap to rent a theater since people actually go now. Probably more expensive now. So here you go. This happened on Friday night in Royal Oak, Michigan. two young ladies came to the movies with seats assigned to them and that happens a lot you buy your seat online and you see the spot and there was a guy in the wrong seat and he wouldn't move so managed to recall they paused the movie oh boy you know that's serious they're pausing the movie on the projector and this is what happened
Starting point is 00:07:40 go away that's not i pay my money i have a right to sit in your seat correct yes my seat that's not your seat how can you tell us that my seat because your ticket has your seat number on it it doesn't matter where you sit it's not a side seat you're It is go sit in your own seat. Let's go. I'll be nice and I'll get you a refund. I want more than just a refund. Okay. Can I get a drink? We'll just care you in the lobby.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Goodbye, everyone. Enjoy your movie. So this is just an older guy who doesn't understand things are done different now. Yeah. He just wanted a drink to make it all okay. He even said there are, there's no assigned seating. He's like, so he just didn't understand the rules. He was breaking a rule.
Starting point is 00:08:20 He just understand the rules. But he left for a drink. Can I get a drink? If you went And you were there And somebody was in your seat Would you try to find a new couple of seats Or that's gonna move?
Starting point is 00:08:29 I mean, I probably would Say, oh, hey, this is that My ticket says it's my seat And then if it got complicated I would just go sit somewhere else But I wouldn't mind asking I think that's how I would handle it too I go, hey, hey, you're on my seat
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yeah What? I'm seat? Yeah, look, here's a ticket And they're like, oh, I think most people would go, oh, sorry, sorry, sorry And move over. I've done that before at sporting events
Starting point is 00:08:50 Where I'm like, oh, I'm on the wrong row I'm one row wrong. And then if they did move, I'm going like, alright, let's find some open seats. But I would feel weird the whole time. It would ruin my experience. Because the whole time I would think somebody was going to come down and take my seats that I'm stealing from somebody else.
Starting point is 00:09:05 But Mike D, this happened to you recently in a theater, sort of, right? Yeah, just this weekend. What happened? We went, and I always have a very specific seat I like to sit in because I want to sit right in the middle, and there's really only two rows where you can get that best seat. There was somebody already sitting there was like a whole family.
Starting point is 00:09:20 And I was like, you're in our seats. and the guy was like, well, it's a big... So you reserve the seats. Yeah, you pay ahead of time. You pick your seats. That's what I like to do. And the guy was like, well, it's a big theater. There's a lot of seats.
Starting point is 00:09:31 I was like, well, I paid for this seat. I want to sit here. And like somebody else had sat in their seats before. So it was like a whole exchange where everybody had to move. But they ended up moving because I wanted to sit there. That's the seat I paid for. Good for you for standing up. And I don't...
Starting point is 00:09:44 I mean, wow, good for you. Yeah, I had to move. He doesn't say a lot. He's a very quiet guy. I'm surprised that... But when it comes to movies, movie Mike. Does not mess around. Wow.
Starting point is 00:09:53 I have my seat, so I had to sit there. Did you slap him? No, not slap him. And was your wife like, oh, that's my big man? Yeah, we got her seat. Yeah. Good for you, buddy. But was he nice once he realized he was in the wrong?
Starting point is 00:10:06 No, not really. Were you concerned the whole time? Did it stay in the back of your head the whole time? What had happened and it was awkward? For about 20 minutes, it did make a little bit of tension? And I was like, I don't know if he's going to say something afterwards. Something in the bathroom afterwards? No.
Starting point is 00:10:19 What did you watch? I watched the Lost City. with Sandra Bullock. Was it good? I don't know what that is. Was that with Channing Tatum? Yeah, Channing Tatum. It's like a...
Starting point is 00:10:26 It made a bunch of money. I did see that. Made like $30 million. Yeah. Not for me. I think it's like... What about for me? Amy would probably like it.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Are there any... Is there any sci-fi or time travel or aliens or pills? No, it's like an adventure movie. Pills. You're adding that to the list? Oh, Adventure. I can sign up for Adventure.
Starting point is 00:10:45 Oh, Blue-Pill, Red Pills. He was referencing all the movies that I don't know. I don't know if it was about the actual pill or if it was about what the pill stood for, wanted to put it on the list. Okay. All right, Mike, thanks, buddy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:10:55 Here in town, if you want to rent a theater, it costs $299. That's pretty good. It's gone up. Yeah. So I guess you'd have to do the math and go, well, if I bring this many people, like a birthday party or something,
Starting point is 00:11:09 maybe it would make sense. Yeah, it's still good because Chuck E. You still got to buy the food, though. Oh, that's true. You know? And you won't see Aldeen here. If you rent the theater in Chuck Echee's, you ran into Al Dean.
Starting point is 00:11:20 That's right. Raymundo's making a drastic change. He's thinking about it to save money on gas because gas has gotten so high. Although I did see it went down like six or seven cents. Good. Ramundo, what are you thinking about changing in your life? Yeah, you guys used to make fun of me all the time for doing it, but I'm going to stay here at the studio a couple nights a week.
Starting point is 00:11:37 That way I don't have to pay for the commute home and back. It could easily save $20 to $40 every single week if you think about it. Until prices go down, I really almost have to do that. So you want to live here? It would just be maybe say it tonight, a Monday night and maybe a Thursday. night, so then it would only be three commutes a week instead of five. How long did you drive home? It's pretty, I mean, now on, have you seen 40?
Starting point is 00:11:58 They tore the butt right out of it. Okay, how long is your drive home? It's been an hour. What? That's not true. You guys haven't drove 40. Ray. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:09 He's not wrong. What? But he can take different roads. He doesn't have to take that highway. There's roads. I don't think it's going to take you an hour if you go non-highway. Right. It'll take about 15 minutes.
Starting point is 00:12:18 Can somebody map to his house? I mean, there's alternate routes through neighborhoods. Yes. Right, but all the other traffic is also going those ways. Something with the potholes. But you don't drive at trafficy times. Correct. It's still shut down.
Starting point is 00:12:32 I heard some people sat on 40 for three hours. What? With that said, I believe I'll eliminate that with staying here at the station. Show me where to avoid on a map because I don't know the highways in my head. Like, I just... Scooby up, Ray can't sleep up here, can he? We do have a couch. I mean, you technically can.
Starting point is 00:12:49 can't make permanent residence here. I guess if every time that you do it, you didn't plan to do it. You just had to, every single time, then I think it's probably okay. What does your wife think about? So, wait, wait, wait, Ray, what are you going to do for food? Food, I mean, there's ways to get food.
Starting point is 00:13:07 I don't have to, like, go out hunt and gather it. How would you do that? He has a, there's a refrigerator in a microwave. I was hoping for he would say Uber Eats, and I'd be like, so the money you're going to waste on Uber Eats, you could save on gas. Thank you, I was setting him up. I know.
Starting point is 00:13:18 You know you were hoping for that. I'm thinking about it. I mean, it's something I'm pondering. Why don't we make this compromise? Yeah. One day a week. Yeah! But every time you do it, you didn't plan to do it.
Starting point is 00:13:29 It was an accident. Right. But you're, he's going to really stay here that whole time. He lived up here for three months under the table. But I mean... There's no way his wife's going to let him. There's no way. Have you run this by her?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Yeah, she's down because especially when it runs up $100 on the trailblazer at Costco, I mean, there's cheaper ways to do it, folks. Let's be real. Okay. A way for you to make the news lunchbox is. go buy people's gas. That's really expensive, guys. I mean, really, that's real expensive.
Starting point is 00:13:56 Haven't we learned? He doesn't really want to help people. No, no, I do, but I mean, I can't. So he's not willing to invest in it. Yeah, if you really wanted to do it, you could go sit at a gas pump and randomly, wear like a mask and a cape. Ooh, that's cool. Gasman. Superhero.
Starting point is 00:14:13 Dun-da-da-da-d-d-d-gass man. I think that's a good idea. Scoo, can I borrow that company a credit card? No, but that's not you getting on the news. If you want to do it, it does take an investment. If you go do it for probably 10 people and tell every one of them, hey, tell you heard it from gas, man. Yeah, 10 people, that's about $700. Do it.
Starting point is 00:14:35 I don't have $700. How much money do you spend on the lottery every two weeks? $150. Then why don't use that? Because that gas money is that getting on the news is not going to win me millions of dollars. That might be two cars, bones. Okay, but still, two cars a week. Every two weeks, a car, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:14:50 Hey, choose small cars. I think gas man would have a shot to get you on the news. Gas man. That's too expensive. They'll be like, there's this mystery man. What if I do $5 per car? What? Hey, let me get you some gas.
Starting point is 00:15:03 That's annoying. It's going to take so much time. Our point is, if you really want to make the news, you could go be gas man. $5 a car wouldn't be bad. Hey, next up, $5. Come on. Try it and see what happens. If you want to try that, try that then.
Starting point is 00:15:17 You know? No. $5 would be like you click it. And the time to like swap, okay, I'll swipe my credit card now. And then they don't want to. Yeah, you do it if you want. It would be a lot. Leo is on in New Mexico.
Starting point is 00:15:33 Let's put him on. He wants to talk about it. Hey, Leo. Hey, how's it going? Hey, buddy. You're on the air. What do you want to say? Well, you know, I listen to Bobby Bone show every morning.
Starting point is 00:15:43 I'm a truck driver. It's like how I start my day. and I love when we have stories like this because you guys have double opinions on it, but this one seems pretty one-sided. And I got to say to Will Smith, like he was standing up for his lady, and like you said, he giggled at first,
Starting point is 00:15:58 but I think he felt her pain after that, and he stood up for her. Didn't punch him, smacked him, said, hey, you know what? Listen up, bro. Never again. Now, with that being said, could he have done it behind stage?
Starting point is 00:16:10 Probably. But he felt his wife's pain, and he's like, I'm going to take care of you, baby. They're the real deal, been together forever, will be together forever, and he was just taking care of her. And I respect that because my wife is self-conscious, and if someone says something to her feelings, even if I thought it's humorous, I would have reacted similar, just as an old chivalry way of things. You know what I mean? Yeah, I just don't think because they were done in the past means it's right today.
Starting point is 00:16:36 I mean, there are a lot of mistakes that were made 20, 30, 50, 200 years ago, and just because it's happened in the old days, that doesn't mean it's acceptable now. I don't believe violence is a form of showing love. I think if someone's being threatened physically, then you must step in and also show violence back to save. But I don't think a joke by a comedian who is paid to do that, who probably didn't know why that was happening, deserved to be hit in the face right then and there.
Starting point is 00:17:02 I think it was a conversation after. And you know what? If they're private and they get into it and Chris Rock says, yeah, I knew. And then that's them on their own terms. I don't think it's had a good example for kids that were watching. that if you don't like something, you can just go and hit the other person. No one was threatened with physical harm. So for me, it is a situation where a comedian who was doing their job,
Starting point is 00:17:25 who probably didn't know that that was going to be taken offensively, was hit for doing what he was being paid to do. I wish I knew what Chris Rock knew, but I can't know what Chris Rock knows. So, yeah, I just don't think there's an excuse for hitting someone there. but I appreciate your call Listen, I'm sure there are a lot of people that were like Those idiots And you can be that voice
Starting point is 00:17:49 And I like that you listen And thank you for sharing your opinion, Leo Right on me, I love you guys I hope to keep it up I'll listen to you every morning All right, buddy, have a good day Be safe out there You too
Starting point is 00:18:00 All right, thanks, man Yeah, just a hitting man That's a tough one, just a hitting And then live on TV Isn't that something weird Like where you don't even think like Hey, the whole world's going to watch What I'm about to do right now
Starting point is 00:18:12 He just must have been rage. He's not thinking that through. Like rage. Yeah. Has it raged and allowed you to do a lot of thinking. And again, I still think if you really wanted to humiliate someone, the ultimate slap would have been walking up saying, hey, can I get a microphone? I'm going to tell you why that joke is not good and not cool. That had roasted him 1,000 times more than what that was.
Starting point is 00:18:34 It would have been awesome if Chris Rock would have gone after he hit him if he would have made more jokes about him. That would have been great. I mean, he got to meet that big time. I would have been so good. You know how many times I've seen the tweet? Oh, Uncle in the belly. Got in one little fight. And now people are stealing it and acting like they wrote it.
Starting point is 00:18:51 Like I saw it last night almost immediately after. I was like, that's funny. But now people are tweeting it on my timeline and not crediting it. And they're like, oh, I guess you got to move with his uncle and Vib. Now, it's like, okay, you saw that. And now you're just tweeting it as your own. It's not a thought that you just came up with. but I did tweet last night
Starting point is 00:19:11 which I thought was mildly funny because I was just going off as they say off the dome Will Smith went forever after he won and I was like you know why they're not playing the orchestra's not playing anyone gets slapped so not as good as that one
Starting point is 00:19:24 about that was pretty good I give it a C plus right there live so yes but thank you for the call I don't think violence is the answer you know especially not in that situation to protect
Starting point is 00:19:37 or blatant disregard of someone one, then I could see if that does happen, I would understand it more. So would people be okay with, like, Leo DiCaprio's girlfriend going up and slapping Amy Schumer because she made a joke about them? Didn't mention anyone specifically by name. Oh, that's because of saying. Oh, yeah. I mean, that's why.
Starting point is 00:20:00 Yeah, I'm just saying, like, why is it okay, like, for her? It's not okay. That's not what I'm saying. But, no, well, Leo called in and said it was okay. So that's what I'm saying. So anytime someone's mentioned in a joke, joke they can go up and hit somebody, then we would never have comedians.
Starting point is 00:20:12 I'd never host an award show. I'm out right now. It's not worth it. You know, I've been asked to host a couple last couple years, and I just wouldn't do it because I, well, I'd keep Tracy Adkins out. They'd just be all these people I wouldn't mention. But can you, see, this is what the Oscars should do. Because that's what it is Oscars, right?
Starting point is 00:20:29 Academy Awards Oscars. Next year, promo, it's like, tonight on the Oscars, who gets slapped? And then they show a couple. They're like, Ryan Reynolds, Scarlett Johansonson, Elmo? Tonight only on the Oscar. This should be a thing every year
Starting point is 00:20:45 somebody gets randomly slapped. But you never know it could happen any time. Also, Chris Rock should be the host next year. Yeah, yeah. That's awesome. I mean, really? I mean, I think he got the greatest amount of content forever.
Starting point is 00:20:58 You know? I mean, he's got jokes. He's got fresh French jokes now. He can do. What else is Will Smith done? Would he ever just maybe, okay, does he lean in in and do have all the content and the jokes?
Starting point is 00:21:09 or does he just let this go? You can't let this go? You can't let this go. You have to at least... When your job is making jokes about society, even in a stand-up act, if you didn't mention it, people be like, what happened? What do you mean?
Starting point is 00:21:23 You're not even doing it to mention, talk about it? It's like once we got kicked off the air for a long time, almost fired. And... I don't talk about that. Lunchbox went to jail for a little bit. It was a whole situation. And we came back on the air,
Starting point is 00:21:34 and they were like, we would rather you not talk about it at all. And I was like, We can't not talk about it. So we're not just going to mention it. We're going to go all the way in and talk about it for a whole show. Then we're done.
Starting point is 00:21:49 And then people won't be like, why didn't you ever talk about that? So we're going to talk about it. We're going to put callers on. We're going to say why it was not good. Why? We're going to tell the story. And then we're down with it forever
Starting point is 00:22:00 because we addressed it. Otherwise, we'd still get people. Hey, why don't you guys? What's up? When you guys ever talk about one? Let's talk to the jail. So he'll have to talk about it. And then he can be done with it probably.
Starting point is 00:22:09 Appreciate the call. Let's see. What else we got here? Hey, Ramundo, you're a one year away from this happening in your life. Would you like to tell everybody what it is? Yep, drum roll. So within the next year, me and my wife are going to start the surrogacy process. Just because financially it makes sense, this has been a five-year endeavor, money-wise. So then if we wait past a year, it's a whole new five years. So it's a tremendous loss of money.
Starting point is 00:22:39 So yeah, in the next year, I'm going to be Daddy Sisson. Like, there's no reaction from peanut crew. I mean, we'll see. We'll see. You got the Trump bet. Bones, we're still waiting on that. We don't even know what's really. Hey, congrats, Ray.
Starting point is 00:22:53 Thank you. What do you want me to say? I'll say congrats when it happens. When it happens, we'll congratulate you. Yeah. Other than that, what else do we do? I think just your reputation of clickbait, Ray. Yeah, not click base, though.
Starting point is 00:23:07 I know, but it's tough to shake. No, not what I've talked about the family. This is real deal, guys. I mean, and the kids are. I mean, the kids will be at home. He'll be sleeping at the station and save gas. Yeah. The legend of clickbait rage is a tough one to shake.
Starting point is 00:23:20 No, I mean, when I talk about the 23 eggs, that's not clickbait. That's real life. But yeah, so we have a couple surrogates that we got in the wing, my sister, and then our wedding planner. So we're picking between those two and then we're starting the process. Okay. Well, I am excited for you. Thank you. This comes to fruition fully.
Starting point is 00:23:37 I will be right there by your side. I appreciate it. Until then, just keep it. us updated. Yeah, and anybody else thinking about having kids? Hey, we can have kids the same age, you know, just start on that same plan as Ray and Bay. What is he talking about? I don't know. Anybody listening? What in the world? Oh, my gosh. All right, right, thanks, buddy. Yeah, yeah. Your daughter had a track meet? Yeah. How'd they go? It was pretty good. I mean, I was excited to go watch her run, but, you know, they have different events spread across
Starting point is 00:24:06 the, you know, the field. So you go over to their specific event. and I go over to the high jump and I'm all going to walk up to her. It's cold, so I'm trying to bring her and a friend a blanket. And before I can even get super closer, she looks at me and she's like, go away. Wow.
Starting point is 00:24:25 And that's something I totally would have done to my mom. So I'm just like, okay, this is payback, which my mom told me I would always have. Once I got a teenager, she's like, I can't wait for you have a teenager. You'll have payback. Da-da-da-da. And later, does Shira explain that, like,
Starting point is 00:24:38 she gets nervous doing the event around people that she knows, like her parents. So that's why she told me to go away. But at first I was like, she embarrassed by me. I'm confused. So, I mean, I went away and I watched from afar. Like, I have video of her doing the high jump and it's like she looks like a little teeny tiny aunt.
Starting point is 00:24:55 Like if you zoom in, you can tell it's DeShera. But she did great. She ran the 100, the 400 relay, and did the high jump. Were your feelings hurt? I mean, a little bit, but I understand. I just see it as yes, the payback. And I know. I hurt my mom's feelings so many times.
Starting point is 00:25:16 Once she fell in a hole and you left her there. Right. And once I fell at the airport and Stashear stepped over me. So, I mean... Got some work to do. The payback is real. The payback is real. So, listen, I know I'm not proud of that.
Starting point is 00:25:30 That's one of the things I wish I would have could go back and redo with my mom. Because she did. She fell in a hole. And I was so embarrassed that I just kept walking because I couldn't like, I'm like, of course my mom would be the one that fall in the hole. And Amy was 25. No, I wasn't. Oh, your mom fell in the hole.
Starting point is 00:25:46 No, I was a teenager, yes. And you didn't help her? No. I was at a softball tournament, and I was so embarrassed by her. It was crazy. She had two broken legs. Stop it. And she never got out of the hole.
Starting point is 00:25:56 For two days, they couldn't find her. And they finally heard her and she was in the hole still. It wasn't that bad, but it's one of my, like, it's a moment I wish I could redo. And, like, later in life, no joke as my mom, like, when my mom was basically dying, I asked her to forgive me. And did she? Yes, of course. But, I mean, that was one of those things where I don't know.
Starting point is 00:26:16 My mom and that issue clearly ran deeper than her falling in the hole. How old were you? Like, I was a teenager and I had a lot of anger. 19. Like, with my parents and my mom. What teenager? What year, though? Like, there's a difference in 13.
Starting point is 00:26:30 Okay, sorry. And 18. Oh, no, I was not 18. I was probably, I may not even have been a teenager yet. I could have been 12. 12. Yeah, that's a bad age. I'll say 12.
Starting point is 00:26:39 And I had a lot. How embarrassed to you that she fell in the hole? I think it really had nothing to do with her. I just had, I was, I got mad at my mom all the time. I just had a lot of anger. I didn't know how to deal with it. I don't even think I was really mad at her. I was probably mad at my dad.
Starting point is 00:26:54 Like, there was just a lot of things. I didn't know how to process. And my mom got, I loved her the most. I felt safest with her. So she got the short end of the stick on that one. Yeah, that sucks. I know. I made a note on my phone too about Eddie's kid.
Starting point is 00:27:07 They had baseball games. Oh, yeah. two on Saturday. And man, they just were so good. They got the game ball. They're on two separate teams, but on both of their games, they both got game balls, which is awesome. Just one kid get the game ball each game?
Starting point is 00:27:22 Yeah, one kid. I don't know if they do it every game, but this is the first game of the season. And my eight-year-old caught this amazing pop fly in the outfield. He made the right play. When he was in pitcher, he got a double play or something like that. And, I mean, it was a game changer. Basically, what he did changed the outcome of the game. game. So they give him the game ball. And then my little
Starting point is 00:27:41 one, my seven-year-old, same thing with him, man. He caught a pop fly. He made some good play. So they gave him the game ball. I'm like, boys, this is amazing. Like, this is awesome. And I guess part of me is really excited because I loved sports as a kid, but I wasn't as good at them.
Starting point is 00:27:57 So the fact that they're so good at what they do, like I'm super proud and I kind of get to live that through. Was your wife a good athlete? Because yeah, I don't always see that athleticism in you. Not really. No. But no. I mean, I guess what I'm getting at, though, is I think maybe my dad would have played a little more with me. I would have been as good at sports as them.
Starting point is 00:28:16 We're just getting deep with our parents here. So maybe, you know, like, I'm actually doing the opposite. I'm playing ball with them. So when they win the game ball, I'm like, we won the game ball. That's pretty cool. Okay. You did not win the game ball. So you think you won the game?
Starting point is 00:28:30 Well, I practice with them all the time. Oh, boy. You know, I'm like, I'm the one that got them to that level. I mean, we play catch every day. He's got the balls in his room. I was going to say the ball's on Eddie's bedside table. Oh, no. They won't ever forget that, though, getting the game ball.
Starting point is 00:28:44 That's right. I still remember the game where I was given the game ball. I'll never forget it. Do you remember what you did to get the game ball? Yeah, I was in Slidell, Louisiana at a softball tournament, not the same one where my mom fell. And I hit the winning hit. Like, my hit allowed for the person on base to score. So we ended up winning the game because of my hit.
Starting point is 00:29:07 So they gave me. And I went in. I think this is my first time that got put in during the game. I don't even know why. I was not very good. But my hit did what it was supposed to do. And I think my softball coach,
Starting point is 00:29:21 when we had her on, not like, I don't know, a year or two ago. I think she talked about that. We should go to therapy, Amy. Also, there's a podcast called Get Real with Caroline Hobby. Caroline has a new artist
Starting point is 00:29:36 and former Bobby Bohn-O-Bobby-O-Jern Lexie Hayden. Lexx talks about competing on a new MTV show Judge by Joe Jonas. It's called Becoming a Pop Star. Didn't Lexi help you with some stuff at your house? She still does. She still does?
Starting point is 00:29:47 Yeah, she helps with my dog. Yeah, she stayed. Like, if we're ever gone, like she's the one that typically will stay at the house, my house is not empty. She stays at the house? Mm-hmm. I should never stay in my house.
Starting point is 00:29:58 She has before, or she comes by and helps. Did she stay the night of her? Yeah. Oh, I should never do that. We struggle with that because if we only had one dog, it would be different. Well, we have a dog of cat. And a fish.
Starting point is 00:30:10 I don't know if she's ever fed the fish. Oh, my gosh. I don't think I've ever had her care for the fish. You should. Any update on that fish? It's alive. When's the last time you saw it? Last night.
Starting point is 00:30:21 Oh, really? Is it struggling, though? Sometimes it doesn't move. And I worry for a second. Does you look happy, though? I think. Let's keep them happy. Sometimes I don't move.
Starting point is 00:30:31 I'm fine. It's still alive. Call Lexia up. She's making a big into pop star world. That's awesome. And also, helping out with dogs. Okay, so I think that's going to be it.
Starting point is 00:30:43 We are today doing our new technique. There will be three clips up, but you don't listen to the first one because only half the first show. If you hate it, how we do it, just let's wait for that second clip. Play the whole thing. You'd have to move your finger. You don't have to drive and switch. Don't have to do anything.
Starting point is 00:30:55 You said three clips. Three, look, there's the first one that goes up early that's already been up for a long time. It's the first part of the show. Oh, got you. That one goes up. If you don't like how we changed from doing the two,
Starting point is 00:31:08 clips, you don't have to listen to that one. Just act like it doesn't exist. Just wait for that second full one. Listen to it. Then the post show, if you like. But if you like a little something early, listen to that one. That's it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:25 I think that's it. Yeah. The notes are good. We will see you guys tomorrow. Hope you have a good rest of your Monday. And until Tuesday, bye everybody. All right. If you have ever dealt with a traditional home security company, you know the
