Starting point is 00:02:50 It's time for the Bobby Bones Post Show. Here's your host, Bobby, Bones. So I'm going to say something, but I'd like for everybody to not listen for a minute. I need to ask Abby a very private question. Like all of us? Well, I'm not going to ask her directly, but I need everybody. Listeners and you guys just don't listen for a second, okay? Okay.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Abby, you wrote a note to me in regards to a story? Are you familiar what I'm talking about? Yes, I am. Am I able to bring that up? Mm-hmm. Okay, I wouldn't have, but you wrote it as a note here. Yep. I'm good.
Starting point is 00:03:27 You're sure. Mm-hmm. Everybody, come on back. What's going on, man? Yeah. Okay, we're back. Welcome back, everybody. So I'll tell you the story first.
Starting point is 00:03:35 Tiger King Joe Exotic announced his engagement to former fellow inmate. Does that mean the inmate got out? Yeah. So he's still engaged and the inmates out now? Yeah, got released. That inmate's going to make some okay, not good money. But like he'll be able to have like a little bit of notoriety. It's being Joe Exotic's new.
Starting point is 00:03:53 That's pretty. Yeah, how did you guys meet in prison, like how the relationship start, do some interviews, entertainment tonight. Joseph Maldonado Passage, aka Joe Exotic, says he will marry a fellow former inmate pending his divorce
Starting point is 00:04:06 from current husband, Dylan, Passage. Oh, that's why Joe Exotic's last name is Dash Passage. So anyway, he announced engagement to John Robert Graham, met in prison, la, la, la, la. Wait a minute. KFOR news, what?
Starting point is 00:04:18 Hold on. You, engagement, and you brought Abby on? Well. Oh, my God. Hold on. Hold on. Oh, what would you say? Well, if, okay, if Abby.
Starting point is 00:04:32 Oh, my God. What? You have got to be kidding me. What are you thinking? And we are doing a story on engagement and Abby is the one that said, hey, Bobby, let's talk about engagements. What is your- Did you get engaged? What in the way?
Starting point is 00:04:51 Why? Why no way? They've been dating for like a week. This is, and they don't live. But he had a near-death experience. Sometimes I can expedite. Oh, love. Bye.
Starting point is 00:05:04 Well, okay, but let me say this. If she does announce that she's in a date. Hey, congratulations, Abby. Then you're like pee on a parade. No, I'm not. I am shot. Sorry. Why?
Starting point is 00:05:13 Yeah, seriously. Why? Why? I just didn't. That's really quick. I mean, we thought it was really quick when Amy got engaged like that. But we were also way younger. And I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:26 Yes. Okay. Okay, okay. Why did you think Amy got engaged quickly? Because it was. It was like three. No, I know, but you guys were suspecting that she was pregnant. Right. Oh, okay. So there's a long of sin. Oh, my God. He's not talking about you. I know, and Abby's not arguing?
Starting point is 00:05:42 So Abby. Oh my gosh. Abby, are you pregnant? No. Okay. Okay. So does that make even like weirder lunchbox? Yes. Like, I know you. I know you. If she was pregnant, I mean. And they say, oh, I got engaged after a month. You're always like, Okay, it just happened to work out. You always think it's crazy too. Oh my gosh. Do you think it's crazier because it's Abby?
Starting point is 00:06:04 Yeah, because, I mean, obviously the dude's a fan of the show. Wow. I don't understand why you say that, but okay. Okay, I mean, did he bring his mom to meet Bobby and him in Florida? I didn't meet him. Oh, okay. Yeah, Eddie met him. I met him.
Starting point is 00:06:20 Yeah, I didn't meet him. Okay. Well, first of all, I'll say congratulations if you're engaged. I'll say congratulations. But why do you say first of all? Because you guys are going to say, oh, I'm a hater. What else are you going to say, though? Just say it now before we announce it.
Starting point is 00:06:33 Anything, right now, anything is free. But after, it's not. Okay. Right now, anything is free to say. Okay. Congratulations, but Abby, I think you're a little crazy if you're engaged. You are jumping in way too fast, girl, way too fast. You should have pumped the brakes, but what is done is done.
Starting point is 00:06:52 So, congratulations. Now, once he makes this announcement, you can't say anything after, like, that. No, I won't. Because we're just going to be, we're just going to feel how we feel. We're not going to pee on anyone's parade. Right. Right? No. Okay. Abby, what would you like to say? Well, I would like to say I am not engaged. It's actually the opposite. We are no longer anything. Oh. So her note to me was Joe Exxon is getting married again and I can't even have a lasting relationship. Yeah, look, what is happening? How does someone in prison find the one and get engaged. I'm out here in freedom and
Starting point is 00:07:26 there's nothing happening like that. In freedom, she said. The possibilities are endless out here. So you and your boyfriend broke up. Yes. That was quick. Okay, now you're going to do that? Here we go. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:07:41 How long were you guys together? Officially a little over two months. And so, and only talking about what you feel comfortable with, what happened? Oh, I'll just be nice. say it did not work out. It didn't work out, not the one. But you'll be nice and say that? Yes, I'm going to be nice. I'm going to take the high road. It's all good.
Starting point is 00:08:02 Was it a distance thing? It could have been maybe a little. I didn't think so at the beginning, but. At the beginning, I mean, it's still in the beginning. Two months ago, I didn't think so, but. Okay. And this will be the final question, if you'd like for it to be. Did something happen that made you go, no? Not really. Okay. So there was...
Starting point is 00:08:25 Not on the same page, I guess. There wasn't no, no, no, no, no. Well, that's what it felt like when she said that, like, I'll just, I'll take the high road. Did it... Did it have anything to do with him going to Florida and hoping to meet and greet, like, Bobby and other people? Like, no, no, because he's a fan of the show, right? No, he doesn't really listen. Okay. Do we believe that, guys?
Starting point is 00:08:50 I have no idea. I believe that. Okay. But he flew up. all the way down to Florida. To support me. Yes. And you have all these access to country people and Bobby and Eddie and the fact that you
Starting point is 00:09:03 weren't able to get him to meet. He got to do that experience and then he's like, all right, I'm out. He wanted to meet Bobby and then he didn't get to. Or he just got the experience of being your dude at that festival and then he pieced out. Yeah, I don't really know what he's getting me either. Like, did you have any VIP access for him at that festival? Did you? He came to see me backstage.
Starting point is 00:09:24 There you go. Okay. I don't know. So when I say he is, he wanted to go have the backstage experience at a cool festival, and then he got it. That was it? That's all he wanted? No.
Starting point is 00:09:35 That's not it. He wanted to get backstage at the strawberry festival. And he got his wish. He really played her right, huh? Oh. Oh, Abby, I'm sorry that didn't work out. There's no chance for reconciliation at all. Nope.
Starting point is 00:09:48 There's more fish in the sea, is what I hear. That's true. A lot of fish. Hey, Amy, what? What advice do you give her? I mean, I don't know if I have advice for dating in these times. I hear it's rough. Morgan, it's the same.
Starting point is 00:10:01 What advice do you give her, Morgan? I mean, just keep trying. Don't let this deter you from other people, even though it may feel that way. Just keep putting yourself out there and keep being vulnerable because you deserve to have love. Oh, yeah. A story of hope is my friend that has been online dating and had some terrible dates, like, terrible. She just found a boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:10:21 And now they've been together for weeks since she met his family over Easter. Oh, hey? Okay, okay. Uh-huh. Back to the pastes? Oh, because... Because I don't... Yeah, once she gets that, it's over.
Starting point is 00:10:29 Abby, were you in love? Oh. Oh, man. No. Did you say you love them? No, I didn't. All right. Well, I don't really know what to ask
Starting point is 00:10:37 because obviously you don't want to say at all. Is there anything you would like to say? Is there any question you'd like me to ask? Mm-mm. All right. I just couldn't believe that a prisoner found... Was engaged. I mean, that shocked me.
Starting point is 00:10:48 Okay. Well, Abby, go ahead, lunchbox. If we're going to talk about it, then who broke up with who? I don't I don't go there I just really don't She passes on that question
Starting point is 00:10:58 Anything else? That's not good What? And I'm sorry I assumed you're engaged What's not good? Well, if she didn't want to say Then it's Okay
Starting point is 00:11:09 You know what I'm saying Like Bobby If you broke up with Caitlin Guess what you would say I'm really down Well, okay But Just say it, lunchbox
Starting point is 00:11:20 What are you saying? You know what? I did the breaking up Okay. So you're saying because of this. Then it's she got her heart broke. And I'm sorry. I didn't.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Are you though? You're not sorry. You love this. It's so awkward. We can change the subject. Yeah, we can. Okay, Abby, are you tapping out? Yep.
Starting point is 00:11:39 Okay, there she goes. Hey, bye. Well, but hit her up on Insta, she's single. Well, then you can't make fun of her if somebody hits her up on Insta who's obviously listening to this. No, I can. You just suggested they do it. And then when they do it, you're like, but did he know you phone?
Starting point is 00:11:52 the show? But that's the only way they would hit her up on Instagram. I know, but she says no, and I'm like... Well, okay, so, Abby, sorry to hear that. Thank you. I'll be okay. You will be great, actually. Well, okay, there's that.
Starting point is 00:12:09 Good thing we never finished that song. Well, that was what I was going to say next. Oh, yeah. It's kind of... We had it. It's kind of all finished as far as the story of it, and most of the music we've written. We wrote a song for her to sing.
Starting point is 00:12:22 think we do it. I can make a slight change. I don't want to ruin the story in it. Yeah, but I mean, most songs come out years after something in a relationship, so a song sung about someone, it's way in the past. Music expert over there. It's true. It's a great point. It's a
Starting point is 00:12:38 long time. They're like, oh, is this about someone? Yeah, five years ago. You're like, what? Five years ago? Yes, absolutely. I think it's a great point. So I'm going to start by saying that. Thank you, Eddie. So eat that. Secondly, usually the artist writes it, though, about their situation, and then time comes and goes.
Starting point is 00:12:53 Like, yeah, I wrote that. Insert story. We're writing it about her life. So it still holds water. Absolutely. Yeah, eat it. But it can be changed a bit because of that. Or we can just skip that segment.
Starting point is 00:13:09 Where she sings a song and records it and goes number one? It ain't going number one. What if it's really good, though? It doesn't matter. It's brutal, man. Next Monday. I'll be announcing exactly what's going on with my two shows. I'm going to do only two shows to start.
Starting point is 00:13:27 It's going to be a residency. So the first two shows in Nashville that I'm going to do, which are in June, I believe the 17th and 18th. Yep. I'll just say that. They are, June 17th and. How do you know that for sure? Because you've said it here, and I remember.
Starting point is 00:13:37 Oh, good for you. Who doesn't remember? Oh, here we go. So I am going to bring Lexi to be one of the openers, Lexi are old intern. And I was like, hey, can play, open. And then I've got another opener I'm a big fan of. And I'm going to do like a comedy.
Starting point is 00:13:51 I'm going to try like a comedy slash it's going to be like comedy slash a play motivational speaking type thing I've kind of created a show that I've never actually seen before and I think it works
Starting point is 00:14:07 I think it would work really well and I was thinking about some of the segments I'm going to do because I've written a bunch of comedy for it and I've also had a way that it intertwines with you know super positive motivational stuff to kind of kick people in the pants but I almost got emotional last night just thinking about a segment
Starting point is 00:14:26 that I'm going to do wondering if I do this I might cry like that level of stuff because I don't want to say it now I'm not going to say ever on the show you have to come to the show but tickets the show will be announced next Monday so there is that
Starting point is 00:14:40 let's see a stranded dolphin dies in Texas after someone attempts to ride it oh a wild dolphin yeah I just don't screw with animals. Don't. Like if it ain't your animal, don't mess with it. Just general, it ain't your kid. Don't mess with it. Unless it's in need of help or to stop it from hurting somebody else. That's right. If it ain't your animal, if it ain't your kid, don't mess with it. A dolphin that
Starting point is 00:15:09 became stranded on a beach in Texas died before the rescue crews arrived because crowds tried to ride it. That sucks. Park staff was called to assist in keeping the public away from the often until rescuers arrived from Galveston and you know they talk about how people were there and they were again they were like feed or swim they were chasing them with jet ski
Starting point is 00:15:31 is this a whole situation that sucks that really sucks that's from Newser a documentary about Andy Kaufman is in the works who is my favorite performer of all time died before I ever got a chance to watch him in real life
Starting point is 00:15:46 so I wonder if then I would have got it Because most people didn't get it because he was so far ahead of his time. But Andy Kaufman, he was on SNL. He was in taxi. He was Latka in taxi. If you watch Taxi on Nick and I. And so he would do comedy at first.
Starting point is 00:16:05 He tried, but then he just started to be a performance artist. He died in 1984 of lung cancer. He would do big ruses, big pranks. He had a big one where he was wrestling Jerry the King Lawler. He said he could beat any woman in a wrestling match and he'd dominate him, and then Jerry the King Lawler said, all right, beat me, and Jerry, the King of Long slapped him on TV. The OG.
Starting point is 00:16:25 On David Letterman. It turns out way later, they admitted that was all fake. It was all set up. But he would do a lot of stuff like that. He would have people come to a show. They were like, we're going to see Latka from taxi. And then he'd be like, all right, we're going to read this book. And he just read the book the whole time.
Starting point is 00:16:38 The Great Gatsby. And then people would be like, what's happening? You read the whole book. And then they would just leave. And he just wanted to see how long people would stay and watch him read the book. I'd set up a tent and go to sleep on the stage. And people were like, what it was the performance was, watch me do this and then watch you and see who.
Starting point is 00:16:55 It's just such crazy stuff. He would do bongo, and more than that. People would stay there and watch him in a tent? No, they would all leave. That wasn't the point. The point wasn't that people would people stay and be entertained by him in the tent. It was, what would they do? Like, would they sit there and just sit through something that was miserable to them
Starting point is 00:17:12 to see if you come out and do anything else? Or would be like, this is so stupid, we're leaving. And they would leave eventually. why would you pay money the next time? You didn't know. You wouldn't know. No, no, no. But I'm saying once he does one of those and he goes to the next city, you're going to pay money for that? There's no internet. So how do you even know? So he wouldn't make it now. He probably wouldn't do it as much, and he also didn't do it all the time then either. He would literally do shows as well to entertain people. You kind of wouldn't know when it was coming. And he would do things to entertain himself, which was hilarious.
Starting point is 00:17:44 But there's a documentary coming out, which if you haven't seen Man on the Moon, it's my favorite movie of all time. Jim Carrey plays Andy Kaufman. And then there's a documentary on Netflix where they documented Jim Carrey as Andy Kaufman, and it's so good. Oh, yeah. And now it looks like there's a documentary on Andy Kaufman. The thing is, it's called Jim and Andy the Great Beyond.
Starting point is 00:18:07 Andy Kaufman said, hey, I might die, but I'm really not dead. Like, I'm going to come back and surprise you guys. It's kind of his final stunt. Andy's dead, but people keep waiting for him to come back. And maybe it's in this. Maybe it's the end of the documentary. That's where they tell you. He walks out and it's like, how old would he be right now?
Starting point is 00:18:25 He was born in 1949. So he'd be. No, he'd be like 70s. 73. Oh, that's it. Yeah. I mean, but that is like Man on the Moon, right? If you believe they put a man on the moon, then Andy's still alive.
Starting point is 00:18:42 Do you know that song? If you believe they put a man on the moon. Man on the Moon. Who sings it? R-A-M. I've heard that. And this song is... It's about him?
Starting point is 00:18:54 Yeah. Goofing on Elvis. Yeah, baby. Because he would do Elvis impressions. Yeah. He also played a different person who would open up his shows for him. Tony Clifton?
Starting point is 00:19:06 And so this person would come out and insult everybody. People would get so mad. He's smoking a cigarette. It's like a lounge comedy act. He's like, oh, you're sure. You're stew. And then people want to fight him.
Starting point is 00:19:15 Ah, and he like leaves. But it was Andy dressed up. somebody else. And they knew that? No. No, they didn't know that. They never knew. They couldn't tell that it's him. There's a lot of makeup. You need to watch Man on the Moon. I'm not going to force you because you'll hate it and you'll be like, ah, and it's not a stupid movie, but it's actually really good. It's so good.
Starting point is 00:19:32 But yeah. In that song too, they actually name check Andy and Man on the Moon. They actually name check them too. Oh. So anyway, that documentary's coming out. Let's see. A Florida Man saw Spider-Man, No Way Home, 292 times in theaters. Spent $3,400 bucks doing so. Wasn't allowed to leave seat. Look at the phone or use the bathroom during the movie to set the record. So he is now the Guinness Record.
Starting point is 00:19:59 That's from UPI. What's the movie you've probably seen the most, though, in your whole life, Amy? Hmm. Pretty woman. Eddie? Not including Christmas movies, because there's those I watch every year, but feel the dreams. I watch it probably two or three times a year.
Starting point is 00:20:13 That's interesting. Mine's either the Sandlot, just because I got an earlier start on it. I thought it was so good. or Man on the Moon because it's the only movie I will watch again. One of those two. Lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:20:23 I've seen Braveheart a lot but that's a long one and I've seen Remember the Titans a lot too. That's a good one too. Yeah. Morgan, have you seen the sand lot? Yes.
Starting point is 00:20:35 Okay. Tomorrow, by the way, Morgan will review Austin Powers Man of Mystery. Morgan, what's movie you've seen the most? Sweet Home Alabama. I've definitely watched that one on repeat. Is this guy awesome?
Starting point is 00:20:47 a loser? I mean, he's passionate about it. He's a loser. I like it. He's an absolute loser. If it isn't like hurting his life and he's like not, if he's not neglecting anything else and this was a goal of his, that's awesome. Like he has a family of work with him. He probably has nothing to neglect. Yeah, if his wife's like, oh, you know, he never see Troy. Then loser. Yes, then loser. He, oh, he's like, has on his skills. But he made the news
Starting point is 00:21:09 lunchbox. Okay. And he's, well, that's true. Oh. Change your mind? No, but he's still a loser. I mean, I could be a loser too and make the news, How would you be a loser and make the news? I mean, there's a lot of ways. All the boneheads. Why don't you? Well, because I don't want to be a loser. Like, I'm not a loser.
Starting point is 00:21:27 But some people say you're watching teen girls have babies all the time. That doesn't make me a loser. But some people would say that you watch that show so much and you're so passionate about it, that that would make you a loser. I don't think it makes me a loser. It makes me a fan of a show. And I do watch it. Do you think you've watched it over 292 hours?
Starting point is 00:21:47 Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah. There's not at once. There's not at once. I don't sit there over and over and over again. That's just loser mentality. Hey, Mike, we've been on a storage unit earlier in the show today. Will you check that one and see if it's still? Don't. I don't need bad news. Yeah, we're good.
Starting point is 00:22:03 We're still up, right? And that one's here in town. They're all in town. Yeah, it keeps staying Chicago, but I guess the site's just in Chicago? Oh, we're in Chicago time zone. Yeah, legit. Got it. All right, we're at two days, three hours, six minutes left.
Starting point is 00:22:16 How terrible would that be if we bought one in Chicago and I had to drive there to check it out? Oh, that'd be awful. That would be terrible. And it looks like this is a just basically, is it just shoes, Mike? A lot of Jordans, though. A lot of old school Jordans. Yeah. There's a bad, what's in, can you show me that bag, Mike?
Starting point is 00:22:35 It looks like a bag full of something. Money. There's a bag full of clothes. My Jordan's jersey who left. Signed. Oh, Bulls jerseys? Yeah. What's it say North Carolina?
Starting point is 00:22:44 Okay. Yeah, right. Oh, you guys would be so mad if there was. No. We wouldn't be mad. You'd be so mad because you guys made fun of us. And you'd be mad because you made fun of us. I don't see this as the smartest investment you've ever made. But if you did strike gold, I'd be happy for you guys.
Starting point is 00:23:00 There's some jeans. What do the jeans say? You can't really tell because they're in a bag and there's only a picture of it. Jabot? It looks like a jacket. Z-caveridge. I don't know. It looks pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:23:12 We just wear the stuff. You don't even sell? Worst case, we just got new clothes. That's right. Just throwing the washing machine. All right. Let's see. What else do I have here? Ray Mundo had to talk to a therapist about gambling addiction. Did you guys know this? No, good for him. Ray, why?
Starting point is 00:23:29 Me and my wife thought it would be good, just to kind of convince her, because she at one point thought I was addicted to gambling. So we're like, hey, let's do a therapist. So I met with this lady. She's like a 30-year expert in the industry, and I kind of broke down my habits. I told her a year ago it was really serious where I was gambling a lot. And then I said, now if I gamble, it's when me and my wife do it together. so there's like trust there and she goes and so I explained all my stuff to her and she's like at the end of this meeting I'll tell you if you're addicted or not and so we went through all the steps and she goes you are mild to moderate but closer to mild and she's like you are officially not addicted to gambling she did a whole reveal yeah you are officially not addicted she did like more povich she didn't do a little serious and be like well this these are my thoughts she did but then she told me at the very end of it was like a two hour call she's like you but determined by me and all of my years in this industry you are not addicted to you are not addicted to you and I'm like, thank you. I'll tell my wife that. But yeah, it was awesome. It was really good. I learned a lot.
Starting point is 00:24:22 Learned how to like set a limit, which I've been doing now that I'm with my wife. And if we do gamble once a week, we do it together. But if you set that limit, you go over $20, that's when you start to have a problem. Is your wife going to let you gamble on your own account now? No, we have account together. Last time we did it was like two weeks ago. Did some golf game, but nothing since. Do you miss it?
Starting point is 00:24:44 No, I really don't. And I told her I can watch the NBA playoffs now. Not a dollar on the game and I just enjoy, I'm back to being a kid where I just enjoy watching sports. And that's how it always was. Did you watch Celtics and Nets? I saw the highlights. I was doing Easter, but yeah, that was sick. Amy, let me ask you that.
Starting point is 00:24:59 I love a villain in sports. And I love, and every team should have a villain, not just a person who's bad, but every team should have a villain. They really dislike. What stinks for us is Arkansas fans is LSU sucked for a long time. So we don't only have a, like, and we can't beat Alabama right now. So Nick Saven is not a villain. He's like, just the greatest. and you go, dang, we'd really like to have a show.
Starting point is 00:25:18 We'd like to beat him sometime. And we have a kid. Not in a long time, though. So, but like LSU, that's been our, when they're good and they got a villain to us, you're just like, ah, I can't wait. So we don't like have a villain right now, which stinks, but I love a good. Let's hate them because they're against us. Whenever Noah played for Florida in basketball, man, hated him
Starting point is 00:25:38 because he was just always talking, chirping. Now I don't care. Like, he's awesome, played for the Bulls. He's great. Kyrie Irvin played for the Boston Celtics. So follow me here, Amy. Now he plays for the Nets. And they were, F you at him, hard, hard, going at him before the game.
Starting point is 00:25:55 Kyrie Irving, who plays for the name? Who's saying that to him? The Celtics fans in Boston. They played in Boston. He did tell a fan at one point because they were Adam hard. He goes, S my D, B. Wow. That's going hard.
Starting point is 00:26:07 You figure that out? Yeah. They were going saying in 970K, he said to them, S my D, B. You guys figured out those letters? Yes. And at one point he flipped him off behind his head while he's playing. Like on the bench?
Starting point is 00:26:18 Hilarious. Nobody punched. Nobody got hurt. It wasn't on TV. Nobody heard any bad words on TV. So how do you know about it? Because people are video. Yeah, and they show clips.
Starting point is 00:26:26 They're like, but it wasn't on the actual broadcast. Yeah. So I think there's nothing healthier than a villain. When no one is getting stabbed or punched, like I feel like sports in so many times, it's fake now because you don't really hate another city or other team. Everybody's just a multimillion dollar athlete. They don't like, they don't care where they play. It's not the Celtics and Lakers from the 80s. You know, it's not the Pistids and Bulls from the 90s when people hated each other.
Starting point is 00:26:52 What? We just, because last night was Sunday, so a new episode of the winning. I know, we didn't get to watch it. We were up too late, playing cards, but we're going to watch it tonight. Okay. But how do you feel about that? Like a player and fans fighting yelling the effort at each other? As long as nobody gets hurt.
Starting point is 00:27:07 I mean, if he was my son, I'd be a little disappointed. Like, don't talk to people that way. Just ignore them. But they were talking to him that way. Yeah, I know, but just take the high road. He did kind of insult the leprechaun. The mascot? Yeah, well, and then it's the whole situation.
Starting point is 00:27:20 I like it. I just enjoy. A lot of people weren't, didn't like it. I did enjoy it. I love a villain in sports as long as nobody's getting hurt. Okay. And he played wonderfully, then they lost at the end of the game. But it's pretty cool.
Starting point is 00:27:30 It's pretty cool to see genuine hate. So you wouldn't like have liked it if he just looked at him and like, man, I'm sorry you guys feel that way. Yeah, I'd hated it. I liked it. I liked it. I like to see passionate fans going after passionate players and it mattering. especially in like the first round of the playoffs when nobody cares or the caring is way less than later on
Starting point is 00:27:49 is awesome. It was like a really really fun game to watch. I love it. So you like it when players fight back? Like not with their fists but like yell back or talk back. I'm asking Bobby. I know what you think. In appropriate places. Like I've seen Devin Booker dribble a ball down the court
Starting point is 00:28:03 and in the middle as he's dribbling down and look at a fan and be like, hey, you know, and I'm like, you know what? Probably a little too much in the middle of the game. But I think it's, and I don't think you should throw stuff. There was a player throw a mouthpiece at a fan. last week. That's too much. But I don't mind a little
Starting point is 00:28:18 rat-a-tat-tat, you know? After the game, long as nobody gets hurt. I like it because it makes it more competitive and there's genuine emotion, a true emotion attached. Any thinks they shouldn't react at all. He's like, no, they should be able to yell and you don't say anything back. I'm like, no, dude, if someone's yelling at you can yell back. That's what happens.
Starting point is 00:28:35 Time and place. It's emotional. I agree with that. There's a time in place for that. But you should be able to, yeah, you can do it. Half time, post game, and you get to pick one time in between one of the quarters. That's it. Those are the only times you should be allowed.
Starting point is 00:28:45 You only get one spot and only at one fan. And we keep you 10 feet away and they have to listen to you say it. Because if they're going to say it to you, then they have to listen to you say it back. Like when you rules. It's great. It's like hockey. They allow fighting and then they stop it and do your penalty. They should do that.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Okay. Kyrie Irvin, that's Jonathan Jones. That's right. He's the one that said your mom effing blanks. Now, you guys come out here mid court? It's like a Jones on each other. You got 30 seconds. Jonathan Jones, you go first.
Starting point is 00:29:13 All right. Kyrie, you go. Eight Mile battle like M&M. Nice. Jonathan Jones wouldn't say anything in that situation. No, John John's going to be scared a little. He'd be like, uh, uh, uh, uh.
Starting point is 00:29:21 And then at the end, they go, all right, break. And then you don't get to do that anymore. Funny. That would be funny. But anyway, I enjoyed it. I like passionate sports fans. Let's see. Man, we have such a funny segment that
Starting point is 00:29:34 I will give Eddie the credit for this segment coming up. Maybe later on this week regarding taxes. Is everybody getting their taxes in line? Yeah. Done. Done. Yeah, done. I mean, I would love to just even say what the segment is now, but I'm afraid if I did that, it would ruin the segment.
Starting point is 00:29:57 I thought we would do it today. We would have, but we were jam full for today. But all right, all right. Let's see. What else do I need to talk about here? Mark that out. Mark that out. I still want to get to that prison letter.
Starting point is 00:30:14 but it's so long. Why don't we just end on that, Mike? Let's end on the prison letter. Hey, Ray. Yo. Let's see here. So, I mean, this person from prison probably can't hear this because this is the, they can't download the podcast.
Starting point is 00:30:29 They've got to listen live, huh? Yeah, what are they able to do in there? Oh, they did? Okay, Ray, right now, we did sell the 100 shirts with your face on it. Oh, nice. Do you want to know how much you made? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:30:43 Well, if it was $2 a shirt, it was $200, right? Well, there's also a charity involved because it's the... Oh, so took half of that. It's the charity for Bays. Yeah, yeah. The kind of breast cancer that she had, right? Or a friend of ours, yeah, it's a stage 4. Yeah, then Uncle Sam.
Starting point is 00:31:01 You're down to a nickel. That happens. He's down to $10. Hold on. Total profit, per shirt. Ray, after you've made $600. You! How did you figure out?
Starting point is 00:31:18 How was that $2 a shirt? How did you figure that? Is a little more than $2 a shirt. My math was a little off. And not only that, we can do 50 more if you'd like. That's what I'm talking about. I had so many family wanted them and I go, we don't make them here. They're made out in California, y'all.
Starting point is 00:31:32 Well, they can order it online. I know, but I was saying it's not like we have all the t-shirts. There's people making them in our radio building. So we could put 50 more up because we sold the 100. Or if you want to buy a Ray-U t-shirt with this face going, yeah, you can go. we'll put it up, but you can go to my site can't see apparel.com or we'll put it up on Twitter, Morgan.
Starting point is 00:31:53 And the charity gets a cut. Ramundo, as you can see, he's making a little money too. Yeah! split with Baylor, but yeah, yeah. Well, you guys can do whatever you want to do it. I wonder what I'm like cash in on the year, because I own that, yeah. And he's still using it very freely, which you've allowed him to?
Starting point is 00:32:08 Absolutely. Use it at, have it at your disposal. But there's going to be a time when he's going to be like, it's some time, though, yes, I will claim it, we'll record it, and it will be mine, I will own it. But good job, buddy. Yeah, that's awesome. All right. And since he's mildly addicted to gambling,
Starting point is 00:32:25 double it up, buddy. That's true. On the scale, that's not, mild isn't considered addiction. Once you go to moderate to severe, that's addiction. Oh, we got you with sad. All right, here we go. Prison letter. Where did they get that? Do you have any prison music? Like legal paper.
Starting point is 00:32:40 Well, this is what they're, oh, it's a really long piece paper. Yeah. That's like a scroll from back in the days. I was like, Amy, this is an Well, no, it's not. It's like from the king. Mike, I'm good to read this. Hello, Bobby Bowens, I'm writing you regarding a story you covered in February this year. I apologize for the tardiness of this letter, but I'm in federal prison and it took me some time to acquire a mailbag.
Starting point is 00:33:02 Excuse me, a mailing address for the show. This is all handwritten, by the way. First, let me say, I listen to the Bobby Bone Show every morning and have for years. You may not be aware of this, but you have a huge following in prisons throughout the country. Prison isn't the happiest or friendliest environment. and the positivity you and the B team provide helps many of us on the inside have a more positive day on a daily basis.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Thank you. The reason that I'm writing this is every once in a while a story comes up regarding some of the more shady elements of society that raises questions for you and the B team. I thought a criminal's perspective might help. Back in February, you covered a story about a nun who embezzled a bunch of money for her gambling habit
Starting point is 00:33:38 and was sentenced to one year and one day in prison. There was confusion and discussion as to why she was given an extra day. The reason is this. In the federal system, when a person is sentenced to 12 months or less, they must complete 100% of the sentence to be released. However, a person is sentenced to anything over one year,
Starting point is 00:33:58 the person is only required to serve 85% of their sentence in order to be released. So in certain situations, a defendant's attorney will ask for the court to give an extra day, thus reducing the amount of time of their client will spend incarcerated. I know this has no bearing on you
Starting point is 00:34:11 or most of your listening audience, but I thought it might be the type of random tidbit of information that you would enjoy. Thank you and the entire B team. You make the world a better place. For many of us, both in and out of prison, you are a constant reminder that it isn't all bad and there is still hope and happiness in the world. For you, I thank you.
Starting point is 00:34:27 For that, I thank you. Sincerely, your friend in the pen, Squirrel. And remember, you cannot change anyone, but you can be the reason someone changes. Appreciate that, squirrel. That's really cool. Dang, that was deep. We should get squirrel on. I don't know how to get, can he use this one call to be on? Do we have
Starting point is 00:34:46 can we write them back? Let's write him back, dude. Get him on the phone would be cool, you know? I don't know how to book that. Scoob, how do you book? Hey, I kind of get the warden. Yeah, and what time? I mean, he knows the number, so, but it depends when phone time is. He can get extra time, though, if he trades ramen for it. Hey, Squirrel, trade little Rama for a phone
Starting point is 00:35:04 card. Hey, he's, hey, where's he, yeah, where Squirrel at? Do we know? Beaumont. I don't know if Squirrel can listen to this. Sounds like he listens to to the live show. Why don't we write a letter back? Unless... He's got a phone somehow. Keystered.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Why don't we write a letter back? And then we'll see what's up with Squirrel. Maybe we have a pen pal. Love it. I haven't written a letter forever. I wonder when Squirrel gets out, does it say? And what is... I guess the problem is, if we get too close to Squirrel,
Starting point is 00:35:34 and then he gets out... Do we use a new phone server? What? What did you say? On the screener? Did you get scared at the end and stop talking? Well, I didn't... I mean, I was going to say intern, but we don't have interns,
Starting point is 00:35:47 so then I thought phone screener, but then I forgot Abby does phones. Oh, get him a job? Yeah. Oh, yeah. We could be a part of rehabilitation. We could be to tell me something good. Listen, I love it. I love it.
Starting point is 00:35:55 However, we don't know Squirrel at all. He sounded like a legit dude right there. He did. His handwriting was pretty good. Exactly. We don't know Squirrel at all. And if Squirrel came out and was like, I am completely, I'm... Rehabilitated.
Starting point is 00:36:07 Yes, fully rehabilitated. We're like, squirrel, let's talk about this. But if Squirrel is not, and he just wants to come see us because he loves us, And if you can't have us, no one will, that's not... Yeah, because what if squirrel's locked up because he was stalking? Yeah, we don't know what he did. No, squirrel, you assigning a crime now? I think squirrel probably killed.
Starting point is 00:36:24 He was petting theft. He probably killed somebody because they were hurting kids. Oh. And that I was defending kids. I like that. He also sent an off-air letter, so I don't want to say what he did, but it's not what you have said so far. Let me see it. Can you show me?
Starting point is 00:36:37 I won't say it on the air. Can you show me? Don't show him. Why? I will never say it. Mike? You'll tell everyone. Why'd your voice crack there?
Starting point is 00:36:44 I mean, I asked for it first, and he goes to Bobby. Like, he didn't write me the letter. Oh, it's written off-air letter. Okay, well, I'll just read this. I will read this off the air. What does it say? It is Beaumontah. Well, I'm not saying.
Starting point is 00:36:56 It says off-air. Does it say his real name at the end or does it say squirrel again? No, it's real name, but I'm not going to say that. That's legit. Wow. You just read what he's in for? Yeah. What he's in for won't make you hate him.
Starting point is 00:37:08 I'll say that. Okay, I like that. So something Lungebox could potentially go to jail for? Oh. taxes. Can I answer that? Can I just answer it? What's the question again?
Starting point is 00:37:19 Is it something that lunchbox would potentially go to jail for? One day? I'm going to go. I don't know if I'd answer, man. I feel like you're giving too much. I'm not, though. I can answer that. A slight lean yes.
Starting point is 00:37:36 Oh, wow. Okay, because lunchbox does a few different things. But just slight, but just slight. Yeah. No, I quit selling DVDs. I could have gotten trouble for that, I think. That's interesting. I see what he's asking for a book.
Starting point is 00:37:51 I'll send him a book. It has to... Oh, really? Can I say that part of it, do you think? But the whole letter's off here. Yeah, all fair. There's parts that I will not read on the other that has personal information in it. But he would like my book, fail until you don't.
Starting point is 00:38:06 But it can't come directly from me because they can't receive books from specific people. It has to be from, like, an organization. Interesting. So it has to come from the show. Got it. That's interesting. All right. I won't read any more, but there you go.
Starting point is 00:38:24 Oh, this last line. Mike, can I read this last one? It's not upset. Yeah, it's not about him. Okay, is this okay? Yeah. P.S. Drugs, cell phones, and cigarettes don't really come in prison in people's butts.
Starting point is 00:38:43 Okay. There goes that theory. They come through corrupt guards or via drone drops. This is 2022, after all. Drone drops. Wow. Okay, but before the drone. Yeah, hey, listen, but.
Starting point is 00:38:53 I've been known to be old school, so I probably... All right. Squirrel, appreciate it. I don't know if Squirrel hears this on the podcast or not, but... That's not. We'll be sure to get that back. All right, I think that's it for today. Ray, how long is this?
Starting point is 00:39:06 25. Okay. 37. A little different there. What happened? Your math is terrible today. Does you just have a break? My internal clock, 12 minutes off.
Starting point is 00:39:16 So question. I have 100 bucks. Do we all have to write him a paragraph? He's got money. So we can all... He wrote it to me. Well, I know, but you said it can't come from the... So everybody from the show has to write something.
Starting point is 00:39:25 He's sending a book. Oh. He wants a... I can't send him a book from like a specific person. It has to be from my organization. I was going to swing by next to something. I'm in Beaumont. When are you in Beaumont?
Starting point is 00:39:35 Hey, we'll send you to Beaumont. There we go. If we can go meet Squirrel, like I have a meeting... I'll send you to Beaumont. I'll be legit. Scoobo, will you see... Oh, man. I don't know if I should do that.
Starting point is 00:39:44 Lunchbox and Abby Send him to go to Beaumont In the Hyundai That would be a long drive Hey road trip to Beaumont in the Hyundai Oh boy that's a long ride Let's go scuba Could we
Starting point is 00:39:57 Oh we get a sponsor for that That would be awesome Yeah Have a podcast with him Lunchbox goes with the pin Oh Sonic and the slammer This would be a whole new Sonic presents
Starting point is 00:40:08 To the slamer It's the ongoing We could get I don't know if a client Would want to be associated with that But maybe they wouldn't Why? These are humans. I'm talking about just driving to a jail.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Period. It's like a story of like redemption. Well, they wouldn't even like want to sponsor Lunchbox's trip to when you go to 100 houses and stuff. This is a little bit more. Okay, we just get a bail bond. Boom. New client. Yeah, new client.
Starting point is 00:40:28 Oh, uh, Morgan and Morgan. Oh, they would love that. I think this is potentially a really interesting segment or a few segments to just talk about. I think it would be hilarious, awesome, and... Terrifying.
Starting point is 00:40:49 Just make you feel good. Oh, you went terrifying for you. Well, let's one-up bit. Why don't we talk to the warden and see if they'll let him spend the night in there? I like it. While he's there. Locked up. And we don't tell anyone that he's not really a prisoner.
Starting point is 00:41:01 Now we just went stupid. Now we just went stupid. Then you report on how it went. He's just a new guy in prison. Yes. It could be real cool lunchbox. Dude, this would be some good stuff. off. We are not doing that.
Starting point is 00:41:14 Okay, okay, only the shower. Lesbush, you would make the news. You would make the news. You'd make the news. You'd make the news. You'd make the news. You'd make the news. You'd be dead. You're not going to be dead. You get shanked. I mean, a little shank here. He'll be fine. The drive to Beaumont is pretty intense. It's a long way. But what if we flew you to Austin? Or you can fly me to Houston. That's easier. That's true. Because it's our outside of Houston. Yeah. And then you drive over to Beaumont.
Starting point is 00:41:38 That's actually a pretty easy trip. And a southwest flight. That's not terribly expensive. Yeah, that's not bad I just said it being funny, guys. I didn't know what it's going to turn it. I mean, if you drove, it would be 11 hours. Oh, God. How much would you need, how much money to be paid?
Starting point is 00:41:53 No, no, no, no. This is a real situation. Because you'd be back and you could do the whole thing in four days. Go down. You mean, you can do it three, really. Go drive for a day. Spend the whole day, whole night, drive back. It's like your own little documentary.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Yeah, man, this is cool. Yeah, I don't know. How much would a client have to, Let me look at the hours. Never mind. No, no, no, no. You got to do it now. There's like a three day.
Starting point is 00:42:18 You'll still be on the show. You still get paid. 10,000's good. Oh, no. Oh. I was saying like 500 bucks. $500? Because you'll probably do it for free if we just fly you down there.
Starting point is 00:42:27 You're just going to visit a jail. Yeah, yeah. But the drive, dude, the drive is a lot. That's 22 hours with no stops. You understand. That's a lot of driving. He just said you're flying. No, he said if I drive.
Starting point is 00:42:37 Oh. But why wouldn't you stop for? Well, that's what I'm saying. How much a Southwest ticket in two weeks from now, Mike, from here to Houston? I don't know if I can get in that quick. Oh, I bet we can find a flight for... I'm just asking two weeks because it wouldn't be any earlier than that. So the ticket wouldn't be any more expensive than this.
Starting point is 00:42:59 $400? That's probably what it would cost, yeah. Yeah. Round trip. All right. Well, something to talk about. And then a limo drives me from the airport to the... I don't think you want to go to prison in a limo.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Yeah, I don't think that's really the vibe that you'd be looking for. All right. want to try to win the money? Let's go. How much we get? This is cool, lunchbox. I'm actually excited for you. Like, this could turn into a thing. It could be a little bit of, hey, look, let's not forget that prisoners are also people, too. Dude, and what have made wrong decisions, but are literal humans that deserve love, support, depending on, especially what they did, too. If lunchbox doesn't do it, I'll do it. Here's my question, though. Amy goes to see squirrel falls in love.
Starting point is 00:43:37 What? Falls in love with the prison. But my question is, I mean, how would we even let squirrel know I'm coming? I would just show up and say, because don't you get to be on their list? There would be a guest visitor list or something. I know, but how would we get a... I'm sure we call the word. Yeah, you call them, you set it up, it's really easy to do. Or we send Squirrel a letter.
Starting point is 00:43:57 Go, hey, because it would take a while. Hey, squirrel, we're going to send someone down lunchbox. Can you come during one of your visits? And if he says no, then great, we don't go. If he says, yes, he'd love it. How great would that be? We bring a camera crew. No.
Starting point is 00:44:13 Lunchbox was willing to drive to, like, a jail in Iowa once. No, I wanted to because Amber Portwood was getting out of jail. He wanted to go and see her, like, when she was released from prison, one of the teen moms. Yeah. But he's not a loser. No, no, not at all. Not a loser. No, I was trying to show my support.
Starting point is 00:44:29 I was trying to get on the MTV show. Okay. One to 100, you get 100 bucks if you nailed the number. Everybody ready? Ready. I do have some cash. Amy. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:41 Number. 66. 64. Wow. That's crazy. Mike? 91. 93. What?
Starting point is 00:44:52 Everything within two? So far. So far. There you go. Somebody's on the edge today. Somebody's going to get it today. We'll get it. Lutch box.
Starting point is 00:45:02 That's from my boy squirrel, 47. 35. Still kind of close. Nothing likes me in this world. Eddie. 21. 12. Oh.
Starting point is 00:45:13 The opposite. Flip those. Oh, wait. Let me turn it up today. Oh. 21. No, I'm up to $9.12. All right.
Starting point is 00:45:20 Morgan, up for $100 in cash. And go. 76. 65. You guys are pretty close today. Really close. Ray, since you don't, you have a gambling. We're just going to see everybody.
Starting point is 00:45:32 Yeah, yeah, forget it. Hold on, hold on. What's funny is it fell off a number just at the last second, so it'd be funny if it hit that number fell off it. Ray, what tens are you going to go? Like, what? I was gonna do 20s. Okay, are you still going with that? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:49 Okay, what's your number? 29. 47. That was what I guessed. You've got to be kidding. Scuba. 23. 76.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Abby? That's my number. 48. What did she say? 48? Yeah. 48. The number is...
Starting point is 00:46:10 Come on, come on, come on, come on. Sixty-eight. All right, well... Thank you, everybody. One more rule? No. Okay. I was doing another round.
Starting point is 00:46:20 No. I will do another round if you Okay, you put $1 in versus $100 I just put $1 in and then we get a roll Yeah, it's the exact odds it is You got a $1 and $100 shot It's $1 and $100 So if you miss it though, you give me $1,000
