And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok podcast network on TikTok. Hey, I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us.
Starting point is 00:01:00 You can have opinions. You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast Money and Wealth with John Ho Bryant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get.
Starting point is 00:01:57 Hit your podcast. If you're watching the latest season of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, you already know there's a lot to break down. Gorsha accusing Kelly of sleeping with a merry man. They holding Kay Michelle back from fighting Drew. Pinky has financial issues. On the podcast, Reality with the King, I, Carlos King,
Starting point is 00:02:18 recap the biggest moments from your favorite reality shows, including the Real House Wise franchise, the drama, the alliances, and the T, everybody's talking about. out. To hear this and more, listen to Reality with the King on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This is Saigon, the story of my family and of the country that shaped us. From IHeart Podcasts, Saigon. You don't think I'm serious about a free Vietnam? One city, a divided country, and the war that tore America apart. This is for Vietnam.
Starting point is 00:02:51 They're pouring patrol all over here. Freedom for Vietnam! There's a fire coming to this. country and it's going to burn out everything. Listen to Saigon on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts or wherever you get your podcasts. Come on, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:03:09 Transmitting. I hope you had a great weekend. Welcome to Monday show. Morning. Morning. She named her baby this. I'm surprised that I guess America allowed it because there are some names you just can't name a kid. They're like, eh. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:03:30 It's like when you get a jersey from NFL and you can do your own name. There are certain words you can't use. You can't do P-E-N-I-S. Oh, you can't? No, there are a lot of words you can't do. Or like on a license plate. Oh, yeah, you definitely can't do that.
Starting point is 00:03:44 So her name is Kaylee Zag. She's 22 years old from Central Texas, and she's now gone viral because she revealed her baby girl's name. Now, again, she loves boots. So she named her kid Lou Casey. Huh. I mean. It's not normal.
Starting point is 00:04:03 What is that? Do you named a kid McDonald's? Do you think they'd allow it? McDonald's? Yes. You do? I think they'd allow it. Sonic?
Starting point is 00:04:10 Sure. Fudruckers? Sure. Oh, you think Fudruckers? Wow. Way back. Wow. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Lucchasey's the brand of boots lunchbox. Okay. I was like, I don't know what that means. Like a really awesome. The name inspired by Lucacey Cowboy Boots. Lucchasee Lynn is a name. I mean, that's kind of cute. Kind of a cool name.
Starting point is 00:04:29 Lucacey Lynn. Yeah, but isn't that kind of just you just add a middle name? Like you can't name a kid Adolf now, I don't think. Oh, really? I think, I don't know. Maybe you just shouldn't. Yeah. Like, that's one of the names that was very popular back in the day.
Starting point is 00:04:43 Yeah. And then Hitler ruined it. Yeah. Bad luck. Yeah, or I guess you probably stay away from Hitler too. You can't do Santa Claus legally. You can't do Santa. You can't do Nutella.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Huh. You can't do, you can do Jesus, but you can't do Jesus Christ. Okay, but you can do Jesus. Yeah, because a lot of my delivery drivers are Jesus. Absolutely, man. I have a friend named Hesuzes. Yeah. Back home.
Starting point is 00:05:06 I often see that and I'm like, Jesus is bringing out of food. It is awesome. It is blessed. Yes. You know the two names I get most? Jesus and I get a lot of Rons. Really? Ron.
Starting point is 00:05:17 I don't know a Ron. Me either. And I think I get about a Ron a week that delivers me food. Do you think it's the same Ron? Interesting. You know what? It's just the same Jesus though. There are so many Rons.
Starting point is 00:05:31 Well, I just never see the name Ron. And the two names that I get are Hesu and Ron. Okay, well, they're probably, they work your area. Good point, Amy. You do bring up a good point. I'm not going to, you can't name a Messiah. Yeah, yeah, I see that. What about Lucifer?
Starting point is 00:05:49 You can name a kid Damien. Lucifer specifically, I don't know. Probably not Satan either. Satan? It depends how you say it. You can't name a kid devil. Yeah. Gosh, that'd be weird.
Starting point is 00:06:05 Yeah, that's good. Anyway, I wonder what you guys thought about Luke Casey. I don't mind it. I mean, I wouldn't do it, but I, you know, maybe if there's a nickname attached to it. Luke? Yeah, but it's a girl. But a nickname doesn't matter because you could say, well, my kid DeVal. We just call them Little D.
Starting point is 00:06:23 You can't, the nickname is not an argument. Okay, so you guys are actually, you like Luke Casey. I don't, I'm not using it for myself ever, but it's not totally terrible. Well, I like it with the middle name. Would you say it was Lucchese-Lin? Lynn, yeah. So cute. But I don't think you can do, yeah, this is my kid, Hitler William.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Like, I don't think the middle name makes it accept. It either is or is. I mean, Lucchese should send them some boots. Oh, for sure, for sure. Like baby boots. But then she grows out of them and then she wants more. She gets a lifetime supply of boots. If she's an athlete, she gets an NIL deal.
Starting point is 00:06:57 Oh, that'd be cool. From Lucasey. Okay, so you're cool. Great. Hey, I don't want judge. I just thought it was wild that it was allowed. I didn't know you could just throw brand names up there and be... What brand of shoes would you name your kid after?
Starting point is 00:07:10 Well, if you had to pick one brand. It's not just going to be based on how I like the shoe. It would have to match if I like the word or the name of the shoe. Because did you know, we say Adidas, but that's not how it said. It's Adidas. Adidas. Adidas. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Puma. Puma. Puma. Puma. Puma. Puma. Adidas. Adidas.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Adi. But Adi and Adi, that's a real name because that's Addison. or Nike R-lock R-H-R-W-R-R- I think I'd probably go with something like like a Dior That's like a name, a real name
Starting point is 00:07:45 Oh yeah Oh like You're buying luxury Well sure But I'm also not gonna name any kid in Nike Just because of the name It's not even like I said It's not even really about the shoe
Starting point is 00:07:57 But I see what you did there Amy Thank you That's good Yeah She's celebrating her own little pun. I get it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:07 There's a new TikTok trend, and it is sitting around and being bored, which if that's the case, I've been living it. I'm so hip. Just all I'll just sit around to be bored. Can't do anything. My foot's broken. Are they doing it for any specific reason? Like, is there a benefit? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:22 To just be bored and let your mind find something creative. Okay. There's a terrible trend. When kids are sitting around bored, they find. That's the perfect time to take a video of themselves sitting around being bored. That's the trend. It is to sit idle and free of distractions. But I will say this.
Starting point is 00:08:40 Shout out to whomever started this trend because it's way better than shooting hairspray in your butthole or whatever and then lighting it on fire. It's safe. Yes, because that seems to be what all trends are. It's somehow there's a chance you might die. Like, let's eat a tide pod. Let's punch yourself in the nuts as hard as we can. Okay.
Starting point is 00:08:57 This is sitting around being bored. I commend you. and it's all I've done. I'm on my scooter today. I've graduated from crutch to scooter because I'm in a full boot now and it's a walking boot except I can't walk this week in it.
Starting point is 00:09:11 I have to wait one more week to put any pressure on my foot from ankle surgery. But I'm gonna tell you, I wiped out on my scooter last night at my house. Well, because you're flying in that thing. It's not even that.
Starting point is 00:09:20 The pad where you put your knee is not that wide. And I went a little on the left. Well, let me tell you this first of all. My wife left last night. She should have never left me at home by myself. Oh, no. I ended up ordering like,
Starting point is 00:09:29 Three dogs from daddy's dogs. Hot dogs? Yep. Well, not real dogs, Amy. I've never been to Daddy's dogs. True. Labrador didn't come to the house. That's a good point.
Starting point is 00:09:38 Okay. All right. So, and not that that's bad, but I was like, she's not here. I'm just going to go hard. So I had three dogs in my stomach. I ate like way too much relish.
Starting point is 00:09:48 Oh. So my stomach was killing me. And then I let Ella out right at dusk. And we have, you know, we live on a bunch of acres. So she usually goes, gets thirsty, comes back in about an hour.
Starting point is 00:09:59 Four hours. I don't know where she is. I can't find her. I just imagine she's escaped again. Here I am. You know, hobbly Joe, peg leg pirate can't do anything. And I'm yelling in the backyard. And so I don't want to bother her. She's out doing something. Like something that's fun for a change for her at night. So, okay, good. And then I get on my scooter and I put my knee down and I wipe out. And not only do I wipe out, I land on my bad foot. And I'm like, whoop, here we go again. More surgery. And you're alone. I'm alone. I feel like the lady in that commercial, hell, I'm falling. I can't get it up. And I thought about texting her, but she's very pregnant, and she doesn't go out much because
Starting point is 00:10:37 she doesn't always feel good enough to go out. And I'm like, I got a dog that's missing. My stomach hurts. I think I just re-wip my foot. And I'm just going to lay here for a while. I laid on the floor for like two minutes. My foot is so bruised anyway from the surgery that I just prayed. I had a little moment.
Starting point is 00:10:52 And I said, dear God, that one's on me. I started with that because I wanted him to know that one's on me. You owned it. Yeah. But if you can please make sure that I didn't hurt this bad enough to have to go and have surgery again, it was like someone stabbed needles into my foot when it happened. So I rolled back, then I took a bath. Here's the problem.
Starting point is 00:11:12 I can't get out of the bath. I didn't realize that. Why would you do that? Everything was going wrong and my one comfort is a bath. And so I get in the bath and I can't get it wet because they took all the stitches out and they're like, it's not going to heal fully if it stays submerged. You can have water on it a little bit, but don't submerge it. So I got one leg out of the bath.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Now, if you've ever seen my bathtub in an Instagram post, it's one of those deep bath tubs that stand alone. And so I got my leg out and I'm wet. I'm in the water and I'm like, I can't get out. So I got no wife to help me get out. My stomach hurts. My foot hurts. My dog's missing.
Starting point is 00:11:50 It's almost a country song. It's close. Well, you should write about it. It was almost. And so she finally comes home and I hear her come. the door and I'm like help oh gosh you were still in the tub no no no no I got out of the tub
Starting point is 00:12:04 oh okay good no no no no I was like I was hoping you drained it at least I was like I can't find elder our dog she's missing and she's like where do like what do you mean and we have a find my on her collar and it said she was on our property but she hadn't come home so I'm like she's either in the pool she drowned
Starting point is 00:12:23 or she's been attacked by another animal in the woods because she always comes home in four hours I always comes up in 30 minutes. She's like, okay. So she puts on her sweats, and she gets flashlight, and she's back basically in the woods, looking for the dog, and then finally a lot just runs out. I'm like, what did you?
Starting point is 00:12:41 And then all night long, I'm doing this. I don't want to bother you, but... What did you need? Nothing. I just wanted her to know my foot was hurting real bad. I was like, oh. You needed the love is what you needed. I was like, I don't need any. She's like, can I get you anything?
Starting point is 00:12:58 No. Oh. Oh. And so eventually she was like, I'm going to go get. So she went and got some hash browns, just frozen and put them on my foot. Oh, from the freezer. Yeah, got it got to go. Didn't have an ice pack ready.
Starting point is 00:13:11 Yeah. And you know what? Frozen vegetables, how that separates, it's so much better than ice anyway. Yeah, like peas are the best. Corn, hash browns. Yeah, heck of a night I had yet last night. But I'm on a scooter and I've been bored for a couple days. So I've been doing TikTok trends, basically.
Starting point is 00:13:27 Yeah. Yeah. That's what's up. You guys can call us if you want, 877, Bobby. How was your weekend? It was really good. Like, pretty low-key. I was at the same thing your wife was out last night. God was good to see her. Good to see her. You guys sat by each other and talked to each other the whole time.
Starting point is 00:13:46 Well, it was good to see her. And I was, you know, I don't know what I should say. I mean, if she bumped into her. No, but there was a side and seating, and I was sitting next to her. So that was fun to be able to catch up. and I do think just my observation, she was enjoying the adult time away. It's like I'm a baby.
Starting point is 00:14:07 She left you alone a little bit. I'm glad. She didn't even have her phone out, so if you would have texted. She should have left a sitter with me. You don't leave your baby without leaving. Like her phone was in her bag. I think she was just like, you know,
Starting point is 00:14:19 I was thinking, gosh, if you had really needed her, I don't know. I wouldn't have, I would have died in that bathtub before I would have ever called her because she finally felt good enough. to go out. And so I'd have just gone down with the ship. Yeah. Good. Good for you. But I didn't and I should be applauded for that. Celebrated. Because I didn't bother her. I was like, how do I say this gently? I think she was really enjoying her time. No, I know she was. Yeah. It was good. So you guys had a good time?
Starting point is 00:14:43 Yeah, we did. Except for how... Are you going to say it? I'm not going to say it. You can say it. Are you sure? Well, I'll see it. Who's going to say it? Because I wasn't going to bring it up. Well, we're not going to say exactly what it is. Good. Let's just say that I didn't know. Everyone had their cameras out. So I was like, I'm going to film this part too. So I film it, but I put it on Instagram. When they said don't put it.
Starting point is 00:15:05 I didn't hear that part. They did something and said don't put it on Instagram. To be fair, I did not hear that part. But that's not a to be fair. I thought. Because every other single person heard it and you were with everybody else. Every other single person, we don't know that for sure. Was it something that normally you don't post if someone tells you?
Starting point is 00:15:21 They said, don't post this. I know, but Bobby, I'm telling you. And Amy left it up for half an hour. And my wife. My wife saw it and texted you like, hey, that shouldn't be up. She was like, oh, my gosh, oh, my gosh. You weren't supposed to put that part up or they said because there's other things happening to where they're going to reveal it. And I was like, oh, so I'm sure.
Starting point is 00:15:42 And then I took it down and then your wife texted me. She goes, I'm sure nobody saw it. I was like, hey, half an hour. I'm sure a lot of people saw it. Yeah. So it was, it was good times. Good. I'm glad you had a little struggle last night too.
Starting point is 00:15:55 That's funny. makes me feel not so alone. Yeah, no, I felt bad. I laughed out loud. She said, this happened. And before they did it, they said, don't post this because we're going to. And then she goes, and I look, Amy's was up for half an hour. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:10 That's on you, Amy. She said, I called her and said, take it down. I miss that part. You know, it happens. All right. We're here. 877, 77 Bobby. That's our phone number.
Starting point is 00:16:23 A win is a win. A win. I don't care where you're saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show.
Starting point is 00:16:45 This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes, creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. Listen to the Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes,
Starting point is 00:17:21 follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok. I feel like it was a little bit unbelievable until I really start making money. It's Financial Literacy Month, and the podcast, Eating While Broke, is bringing real conversations about money, growth, and building your future. This month, hear from top streamer, Zoe Spencer, and venture capitalist Lakeisha Landrum-Pierre, as they share their journeys from starting out to leveling up. If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures,
Starting point is 00:17:52 it's like, what? Today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything, but at first it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food.
Starting point is 00:18:11 They cannot feed their kids. They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to eating while broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get. It's your podcast. You can have opinions.
Starting point is 00:18:27 You can have like a strong stance. And then there's your body having its own program. I'm Dr. Maya Shunker, a cognitive scientist and hosts of the podcast, a slight change of plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change.
Starting point is 00:19:06 We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Listen to math and magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Starting point is 00:20:22 When you listen to podcasts about AI and tech and the future of, humanity. The hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Coogler did that I think was so unique. He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know. You mean it the like the president? You think Canada has a president. You think China has a president. Does La Crosette. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it at like. It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus.
Starting point is 00:21:02 Yep. It was a good one. I like that snake. It is an actual Polish saying. Yeah. It is an actual Polish saying. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes. Yes.
Starting point is 00:21:11 Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick Dick and Poll show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. They sold a 980 million mega millions ticket. So that's one of the big ones. It didn't hit a billion, so I wasn't interested. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:21:31 So close. When it's a billion, that's when I'm like, I can jump in and play because now it's worth it. But one or more people in Noon in Georgia bought the ticket $980 million. The winning tickets cash value is $452 million. The store gets a $50,000 bonus. You ever been to a store that gets a bonus? No, I don't think so. I've been in a store where they have a check like saying, oh, we sold a million dollar winner,
Starting point is 00:21:55 and they have big signs advertising it so you'll buy that. Like, oh, maybe I'll get that lucky ticket. Does it make you want to buy more since they sold one or law of averages never going to happen again? No, no, no. There's one on the east side of town here. They sell a lot of winners. A lot. Winners or like mega millions winners.
Starting point is 00:22:14 Because I think everybody probably has a bunch of winners if you have a bunch, right? I always like people like going rob stores and steal scratchoffs. It's my favorite thing. And they go and they think, well, let's get some stuff, but let's steal all the scratchoffs and make millions. But they don't work unless you beep them. It's like stealing gift cards. Yeah, you don't activate it. Yeah, if you're at Kroger and you just say you grab all them and steal all them and you run out
Starting point is 00:22:35 and you're like, I can buy so much a bed, bath, and beyond. Except until you beep them. So now you've got to go steal a beep system. Oh, great. You know what? I've never heard anybody doing that. Stealing the beep system? That would be the move to steal a beep system first.
Starting point is 00:22:50 What is that? The lottery machine that's there? No, even for like gift cards. Oh. I think the lottery would be harder. It would be impossible because they have numbers on every ticket and they can just put it in the system and saying, hey, these are uncashable because they're stolen. Well, they could probably do that with gift cards too at the grocery store
Starting point is 00:23:07 because they all have numbers on the back of them. Sometimes when something hasn't been done, there's surely somebody's tried this already. I don't know. That's the move. If I were like thinking something new and creative, I would try to steal one of those beeps because all of those numbers are documented. Lottery ticket gift card. And so you have to beep it to make it active.
Starting point is 00:23:26 If I could steal a beep system And then I could steal all the gift cards But I feel like the gift card ones They just scan it on the ones they scan the groceries on Yeah but they should have to be beeped Yeah but of this Okay well in my house I'm gonna have a whole grocery thing I'm gonna have an entire walkthrough
Starting point is 00:23:41 Yes I'm gonna have a checkout There was a story about Paris Hilton Saying she's self-made And so I'll read you this Paris Hilton says she's self-made Quote yes I came from Hilton hotels But I've parlayed it into such huge businesses Everything I've done I've done on my own
Starting point is 00:23:55 Paris would like you to know she's self-made. In the interview, she says, ever since I was a teenager, I wanted to be independent. I don't want to have to ask my family for everything. And she goes on. Paris compares her situation to Kylie Jenner, who also claims to be self-made.
Starting point is 00:24:10 I think they're getting confused for working hard and self-made, because I think they probably both do work very hard. And they created something. Yes, from what was already made for them by who their parents were and the money they had. neither Paris Hilton or Kylie generous self-made. But I don't want to remove how hard they've worked,
Starting point is 00:24:30 because I'm sure they've worked hard. But it's also really easy to take risks and work hard, and you have the greatest safety net in the history of safety nets. That's what, maybe we need a new word for it, because, yeah, it's sort of like the two things can be true. Like, yes, you work incredibly hard, and you've created all these things, and you've parlayed into this and that and this,
Starting point is 00:24:46 but you had this giant springboard. Huge. And then if something went wrong, you got a net, bounce you right back up. And you could also fly in your little private. Jets to your meetings to get your company started. Neither of them are self-made. And I don't want to take anything away from the fact that they worked hard.
Starting point is 00:25:00 But it is kind of irritating from somebody like me who grew up in a trailer park and has kind of made it. Going that same, it's the same. Yeah, like when your kid grows up, if they dare try to say they're self-made, oh my gosh. I'm grabbing them by the shoulders being like, you didn't make this I did. Yeah. Yeah, you tell him. Tell him, tell her. Right, we know what you meant.
Starting point is 00:25:23 I meant tell them. I think it's a tell them. Tell them. Like apostrophe, the im, tell them. All right. So dumb. What? I feel like I got to do that.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Because somebody would take my um and make it something. Yeah. And I can laugh. Yes, tell them. Tell them. Tell them. Tell them. All right.
Starting point is 00:25:43 Let's go to. Let's go to. Now Amy, all the sons of Beverly Hillbilly. You tell. I reckon. Brendan, Virginia. You're on. Hey, good morning, Bobby, and the group.
Starting point is 00:25:57 What's happening, Brenda? Oh, my goodness. I'm running into Knoxville now. I'm traveling from Arizona. I had to travel to Arizona to take care of my brother's passing away. He's dying. Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. He's now in comfort care.
Starting point is 00:26:14 Did you drive? Very, very. Does he drive? No, well, I know he doesn't. Did you drive? Yeah, I drove from Virginia down to Arizona. down to Arizona, Tucson, and I'm on my way back. Wow.
Starting point is 00:26:29 And I'm hitting Knoxville, in Nashville right now on 40. All right. Well, can I help you with something? Okay. So I want to let you know that I had a triple arthritis dices done on my left ankle last year. And those scooters are deadly.
Starting point is 00:26:48 They need guide kicks there to bump it up or make them better. because they are very dangerous. I have the same thing happen. And let me tell you, don't put it off. Go get your foot checked. Yeah. Because that happened to me, and they have to do some tweaking. I can't take the tweaking emotionally right now in my foot.
Starting point is 00:27:14 Yeah, but you're going to make it worse. Yeah. I have Fafo. What was that? I'll tell you about it tomorrow. Don't worry. I have Fafo. Is that an acronym?
Starting point is 00:27:23 Oh, okay. I feel like I've heard it. Fofo. I was calling you a Fopo. Well, you're saying something different. Yeah, she's totally different. Or you're Fufu. She's right. Yeah, it's Fofo. Yeah. Okay.
Starting point is 00:27:35 I have Fofo. Oh, is that Fofo? Is that like FOMO? No. It's not like FOMO. It's not. That's funny. I never thought of you having him, but now that you say it, I do think you have it because I send it to my friend that I think has it. Yeah. Yeah. Well, Brenda,
Starting point is 00:27:49 listen, I'm sorry you're dealing with that with your brother. That really sucks, but I appreciate you calling. And you know what? I think the message need to be said. If you hurt your foot or leg and you got to get a scooter, be careful. Because Brenda and myself both have wiped out on these things. Yes, exactly. Brenda, somebody's in the car with you. Who's that?
Starting point is 00:28:08 Who's in there? Yes. Who is it? The lady that traveled down to Arizona, she used to date my brother and is a great friend. So, am I on Bluetooth? Am I on Bluetooth right now? Yeah. What's-
Starting point is 00:28:26 Oh gosh, yes. I can't drive. No, that's good. What's her name? Her name is Linda. What up, Linda? It's like she didn't know. What's on,
Starting point is 00:28:36 Hey, Bobby. Linda, have you ever heard of our show, Linda, before this road trip? Oh, I appreciate that. Well, thank you very much. I'm glad I got to talk to you. I hope you guys have a great rest of your trip. I know you're going, and the situation is not great. So we're thinking about you guys, but I appreciate you calling.
Starting point is 00:28:55 Thank you. All right. Bye, guys. Be careful. Thank you. Oh, I will. Don't worry. Bye. Thank you. Bye. Yeah. There are. Brenda and Linda.
Starting point is 00:29:03 Linda had a great laugh. Yeah. Linda came in with the old chipmunk from out of the outfield. Hit me with this voicemail, Ramundo. Long time listener, part tour. I love you guys. I'm just checking on Bobby after the LFU versus Arkansas game. What? Go Tigers. Okay, bye. There's no need to oof. There's no need to oomph. I'm numb. I'm numb. I'm numb.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I even saw that and... I'm numb. Don't make me not numb. I didn't bring it up. Do you know what's crazy about this situation? I don't claim to be any kind of Arkansas insider, but I know a bunch of the coaches that are interviewing for the job. Like they're literally calling me going,
Starting point is 00:29:42 let me ask you some questions before I do interviews. And then I see like insiders putting stuff out that I know just isn't true because I'm literally talking to the coaches interviewing for the job. No, but I don't like jump in in the mix or anything. Only one time did I hop in. They were like, this guy is up for coach. And I was like, no, it's not. And everyone's like, you don't know crap.
Starting point is 00:30:01 This is like the one thing I do know. I know like three things. 90 sitcoms. The history and the state of country music and the Arkansas coaching search. But not through the Arkansas people, oddly enough, because I've tried to stay out. But yeah, that's what's up. We should do that in the next couple of days. Do what?
Starting point is 00:30:22 Like, do you know a ball? Oh, okay. I know. I'm trying to figure out what ball I know. So that's a TikTok thing. Like if you know a ball, the original thing is, it's like, do you know a ball?
Starting point is 00:30:35 It's like, do you actually know football? Yeah. Do you actually know basketball? But it's not. Now it's turned into what do you know really well that people would be surprised to hear that you know ball? And so I got a few. So we'll do that.
Starting point is 00:30:48 All right. Thank you, everybody. Call us if you want. 87777-77-Bobby. 877-77 Bobby. Hit us up. Hello, Bobby Bones. My fiance's brother has been having a tough time since losing his job. The plant he was working at shut down earlier this year, I feel for him and my fiancee, we both feel for him, and she's been helping out financially, but it's affecting our future.
Starting point is 00:31:31 I get that she wants to support him, but she's paying most of his bills and now wants to let him move in, even if it means us having to cut back on spending and investing. I admire her kindness, but I'm worried this could ruin our relationship. How do I talk to her about setting limits without sounding heartless or like I'm putting money ahead of family? Signed, budget versus brother-in-law. I'm going to say, first of all, you should be grateful for the situation before you get married. Because you're going to learn a lot about her and how she feels and her responsibilities toward her family at a time right now before you actually commit to her. And that's going to happen throughout your whole marriage. So in a way, this sucks that happened to him.
Starting point is 00:32:07 And we'll get to that. the fact that this is happening before you get married, this is a great lesson on what's going to happen when you do get married. And now you're going to see if you like this or not. And it could affect if you decide to get married or not. Not that you're going to call it quits because of it. But you see now that she puts our family above, well, herself. And that's always going to happen in your relationship. And I think that's something you need to know. And I think that's great if it works for both of you, if you're the same way. So that's my first statement on this is that you are getting a a valuable learning lesson here about how she's going to be her entire life. And I think it's wonder she's a selfless person.
Starting point is 00:32:42 I do understand how it could be annoying for you. So I do want to say that as well. But you're learning about her in a way that you wouldn't have unless the situation presented itself and it's eventually going to present itself. Secondly, this is definitely a conversation where you need to ask a lot of questions instead of inserting a lot of boundaries at first. And your questions are, hey, so I know he's doing this. Like, what is our long term plan with this?
Starting point is 00:33:05 I love that you want to help your family out. but how long do you think is fair to let him stay? What is fair to give him before he has to be on his own? Because if you just start throwing out boundaries in a situation like this, what somebody you're close with when it involves their family, that begins to create a bit of a toxic environment in your relationship. So ask a lot of questions, but what you're doing is you're setting yourself up for the boundaries.
Starting point is 00:33:31 Because I think there needs to be boundaries here, but you can't just go throwing out cardboard boxes to be like, nope, can't go past this. you're learning a lot, ask a lot of questions, and then from her answers, then you got to do the tough part and say, completely understand, I'm with you, this matters to you. How about ABCD you negotiate that? That would be my answer here. Amy? Yeah, no, I think you absolutely can have this conversation and you can have it in a healthy way. I think there's really good advice about not throwing up the boundaries right away because then she's going to get on the defense. But this is a learning opportunity for, yeah, what it's going to be like. you have every right to insert your thoughts on it, but understand her heart and where it's at. And should there be limits? Yes, absolutely.
Starting point is 00:34:14 Because, like, she might be a giving, loving person, but that can also go too far. Like, if she has some people pleasing tendencies or she lacks certain boundaries, that's where you can come in and kind of be the ying to her ying. And I think so she doesn't get defensive. You ask a lot of questions first before you start giving a lot of answers. Yes. Because this is about her. Y'all can come up with a solution together.
Starting point is 00:34:37 Yeah, sure. Well, he's probably going to come up with a solution of boundaries, but he's got to present it like she has. Yeah. Like, he needs her feedback before he starts throwing up boundaries. Yeah. Yeah. I would appreciate a partner like that.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Like, if I was doing something that was maybe potentially enabling to somebody else or like some. It definitely could be enabling. Great point. Right, right. I would appreciate a partner that would call me out on that in a loving way and hold me accountable and be like, hey, maybe this isn't the best thing for them. I call you out all the time. I don't get that response. I get, shut up. What? Okay, you're stupid. That has not ever happened. Ah, you're stuttering. All right, there you go.
Starting point is 00:35:16 Because I'm like, what you're saying? Thank you. Good luck. Listen, be happy this happened now and not after you got married, because you may not like how this all shakes out, but I think you will. This is just one of those things you have to get through as a married couple. That's it. Close it up. Amy is great at this game where I play a random sound. and she can identify the sound. It's unlike any skill I've ever seen. And so, I'm going to give you a chance here to win a prize for this caller named Kim in Delaware. Kim, how are you?
Starting point is 00:35:45 Um, good. How are you guys doing? Hello? Doing pretty good. So I'm going to let Amy listen to seven sounds a fall. And if she can name five of seven, Kim, you're going to win a grab bag of prizes, okay? That sounds great. She's going to do it.
Starting point is 00:36:01 Yeah. Thank you for believing in me. Yeah, this is her thing. Okay, okay. I feel like you're setting me up a little too much. No, this is your thing. Okay, here we go. Play the example clip, Ray.
Starting point is 00:36:18 Easy. What is that? It's walking and leaves. Of course it is. I'm telling you, this is it. We found her superpower. All right, five is seven. Number one.
Starting point is 00:36:34 Amy, what does that sound? Fire crackling. That is crackling fire. That is correct. All sounds of fall, she is one for one. Number two. Amy? That is raking leaves.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Of course, it's raking. leaves. Wow. Number three, this one, level 10 difficulty. Oh, what? What? Sounds of fall. Sounds a fall. Sounds a fall. The game has been since the beginning. Sounds of fall. Sounds of fall. It's fall here, but it snowed earlier this week. You know, it gets tricky. Sounds of fall is the category. One more time, please. Go ahead. I mean, you say level 10 and I'm trying, I mean, I'm somewhere between chopping an apple and chopping wood. So it depends. Answer?
Starting point is 00:37:58 Chopping wood. No. Chopping an apple? No. Chopping. It is a pumpkin being carved. Okay. That's where I kind of got the, that's sort of, that's in between wood and an apple.
Starting point is 00:38:12 Is it? Is it? Yes. Okay, here we go. Next one up. Can you name that sound? Sounds of fall. It's been the name of the game, the entire.
Starting point is 00:38:29 time. I know, but that sounds like... Do it again? Man, sounds like you're digging for some empty jam in a jar. What does sound like that? Scraving for that cranberry sauce. Sounds a fall.
Starting point is 00:38:53 What? Answer? I wish I would have gotten carving pumpkins. I knew it. Time. I don't know this one. Stirring a drink. Next up. Sorry, that sounds a fall. Next up.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Dang, maybe she's not that good. good. These sounds are crazy. Maybe she came up to her. Staring a drink is sounds of life. It is, okay. That was the last one. Yeah, concentrate on this one. I know, but this one sounds like... She was comfortable to the pumpkin.
Starting point is 00:39:40 Yeah, because, yes, I was closer. Yes, I thought pumpkin. You didn't say it. You can't go, I thought. We can't prove you didn't. That's right. You can't prove it. What do you got? I need to hear it one more time. Okay, here you go.
Starting point is 00:39:54 What is that? It sounds like little rocks or marbles. or something and your dominoes maybe. Do people play that in the fall? I bet people do. When they're stirring a drink. I need an answer.
Starting point is 00:40:25 Guys, I don't know what that is. Is it, is it acorns? Is that your answer? Yes. It's acorns. Yes, in a bag. That's what it sounds like. Okay.
Starting point is 00:40:34 We're back in business. Let's go. You got to get the next two. Come on, Amy. Go. My gosh. Let's play it again. You need this for her to win.
Starting point is 00:41:04 Do you blend a lot in the fall? You know? Because that's like, at first I thought it was a leaf blower. But at the end, it sounds like a blender. One more time? Cannot be a blender. Because like, what does that have to do? I mean, are you baking pies maybe?
Starting point is 00:41:30 I didn't make a face. KitchenAid, blender, are you baking? Kitchenate. Or is a leaf blower? The end, this is, the leaf blower or blender? Sounds of fall. I mean, stirring a drink was the sound of fall. I need, you have three seconds. No.
Starting point is 00:41:49 Yes. Leafblower. Incorrect. Do you guys know what that is? Isn't that carving for the turkey? Yeah, carving the turkey. That's what I, no. It's a hand mixer for baking.
Starting point is 00:41:59 Oh, yeah, you should know that, Amy. It is a KitchenAid mixer. You said blender. But I said KitchenAid. But she thought about it. We have no idea what she thought. No, no. I'm going to give you one more chance to win, Kim.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Amy apparently is not as good as we thought. She let you down tremendously. I would say some of these sounds of fall are you. are year round. Okay, but they're also on the fall. Okay, well, it's a little tricky because... Here we go. So I'm going to do this one and Lunchbox. If you get this one, she wins. Okay. Oh, wow. Wow. So I'm not, I'm playing. You got kicked out here.
Starting point is 00:42:27 Yeah, you've lost your skills. Sorry, Amy. You lost. Woo! Let me... Ah, tune up those ears. Go ahead. Yeah, they're good. And there you go. Okay. Oh, man. Wow. No, don't be a hater. You lost. Can you play again. Bobby, I'm going to go with, um, biting an apple. man. You are the new champion. You're now the best at this game. That's what I'm talking about. Wow.
Starting point is 00:43:02 It's such a gunner prize. Like a superpower, yes. Kim, you won the prize. Thanks to Lunchbox. Oh, that is so great. Thank you guys. Great teamwork there. I appreciate you.
Starting point is 00:43:13 No, no, no, no, no. I kind of sucked. I did that all on my own. Yes, yes. That was all me. I sucked. Kim is the winner. Kim Stanhold.
Starting point is 00:43:26 Lunchbox, you win. All right. We're done. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. James Bennett is from Oakland, Illinois, and he was a World War II veteran,
Starting point is 00:43:39 got shot twice in the war. So he got a purple heart, and he never wanted to lose it. So he put it in a safety deposit box and forgot about it. Well, he passed away, and it just sat there. Then it went unclaimed. So he was handed over to the Treasury Department,
Starting point is 00:43:55 and they've been hunting and hunting, and they finally tracked down a relative, and return the Purple Heart. Oh, they were hunting for a relative. Yeah, hunting for the thing in the deposit box. Like, where did they go? No, no, no. The deposit box got, deposit box got turned.
Starting point is 00:44:08 You really struggled with deposit box. Yeah, yeah, I respect that, yeah. They turned it over the treasurer of Illinois, and they had to go through records and try to find, and they were able to find a niece that was related to him and got the Purple Heart back to him. That's pretty cool. Good story.
Starting point is 00:44:21 That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media.

Starting point is 00:45:51 If I'm outside with my parents and they're seeing all these people come up to me for pictures, it's like, what? But today now, obviously, it's like 100%. They believe everything. But at first, it was just like, you got to go get a real job. There's an economic component to communities thriving. If there's not enough money and entrepreneurship happening in communities, they fail. And what I mean by fell is they don't have money to pay for food. They cannot feed their kids.
Starting point is 00:46:14 They do not have homes. Communities don't work unless there's money flowing through them. Listen to Eating While Broke from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you can. get your podcast. You can have opinions. Starting point is 00:46:43 plans, a show about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Starting point is 00:47:28 The hosts always act like they know what they're talking about and they are experts at everything. Here, the Nick Dick and Poll Show, we're not afraid to make mistakes. What Kugler did that I think was so unique. He's the writer-director. Who do you think he is? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:47:45 You mean the, like, the president? You think it goes to president? You think Canada has a president? You think China has a president? Those law crusette. God, I love that thing. I use it all the time. I wrap it in a blanket and sing to it.
Starting point is 00:47:59 It's like the old Polish saying, not my monkeys, not my circus. Yep. It was a good one. I like that snake. It is an actual Polish saying. Yeah. It is an actual Polish saying. Better version of Play Stupid Games, win stupid prizes.
Starting point is 00:48:12 Yes. Which, by the way, wasn't Taylor Swift, who said that for the first time. I actually, I thought it was. I got that wrong. Listen to the Nick, Dick, and Paul show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Hi, I'm Bob Pittman. chairman and CEO of IHard Media, and I'm kicking off a brand new season of my podcast, Math and Magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing.

Sesame Street CEO Sherry Weston and our own chief business officer, Lisa Coffey. Making consumers see the value of the human voice and to have that guaranteed human promise behind it really makes it wise to the top.
Starting point is 00:49:18 Listen to math and magic, stories from the frontiers of marketing on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you could try. podcast. A couple folks went over to Yellowstone National Park and they got charged by a bison. Now, the folks there and the signs there say don't go near the bison's. But they wanted to get a picture of the bison. And so they narrowly missed being gored and charged. And I read these stories and the headline is idiot tourists narrowly avoid being gored by bison. I would be that person in this situation. I'm not walking near the edge of a cliff. I'm not doing any of that down a waterfall.
Starting point is 00:49:59 But if there's like a really cool animal that isn't normally aggressive, I might try to get kind of close to it to get a decent picture. They weren't trying to ride the bison. They were just trying to get somewhat near and take a picture close to it. I'm not too good to say that I wouldn't possibly be this person.
Starting point is 00:50:15 Yeah. And if you get way too close to a bison, may I recommend just getting really, really, really close to it? No, no, that's a bad recommendation. No, no, you're not. Hear me out. Hear me out. Here we out. Whatever I can't. This needs like a warning on it, like smokers when they get a pack of cigarettes. Yeah. The warning is I don't know exactly what I'm talking about. But my theory is, uh, Bisons, I don't know if it's near-sided, far-sided,
Starting point is 00:50:37 whatever. They have that vision where they can't see what's right in the mom. I don't know, what it's called, but, but I know that they can like walk right up to a tree and then not know it's right there because it's so close. So like they have that vision. So if you just walk up and stand, you know, like if you're scared, stand like a tree and they won't see you. I don't know that that's true I would like to say She didn't even know what sighted they were I don't know I don't have vision problems really
Starting point is 00:51:01 I mean at my mid-40s I need reading glasses But that's you know other than that I don't I don't really have issues Well I would like to say I would probably be one of those people I wouldn't try to ride the bison Nor would I do what Amy says like get so close They don't know what I But I don't want to judge them
Starting point is 00:51:16 Because I think it would be cool to get a picture with a bison Like 20 feet in the background Yeah I just googled it and it says Bison are near-sided and have poor eyesight. Okay, I just googled it. It still says your theory's dumb. Yeah, but you can bank on their poor eyesight. You're going to get somebody killed. No, no, no. I'm saying that if you're in a desperate situation. Yeah, don't go near the Bison if you're in a desperate situation. Uh, voicemail. Hit it. My 10-year-old son is currently
Starting point is 00:51:38 has a Nintendo Switch, which he does enjoy, but he's starting to ask about bigger gaming systems and that is on his Christmas wish list. What's the best gaming system for a 10-year-old right now? Basically, I'm trying to make a smart choice that won't turn into a money pit or something too mature for him. Thank you. Have a great day. Well, there are two. There's an Xbox and a PS5 and then there's if he wants to end up using
Starting point is 00:52:03 like a computer monitor, if it gets really good. But those are the two right now, a PS5 and an Xbox. But the money pit is not going to be what you're buying. It's going to be from in-game purchases. So true. Buying skins and the ability to beat levels and weapon. Power-ups.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Yeah, so just know that you're spend all this money on a system, but where the money is going to come from is him going, Mom, I just need $9 to buy the in-game. So be prepared for that. But yeah, those are the two systems that I would recommend. And let him pick. His friends are probably playing one more than the other. So whichever one, because they're basically the same. All right, one more voicemail. Me and my daughter love this broadcast, this radio station. I want to also say I am Kippo negative, aggressive breast cancer free. Six years, no chemo, no radiation.
Starting point is 00:52:57 And my name is Miss Angela. Miss Angela, they call him this angel. There is hope. There is hope. Thank you so much. Congratulations. That's really great to hear. What if that was a real-life angel they called?
Starting point is 00:53:10 It sounded like she was calling from afar. Yeah, kind of like hazy. It's kind of like hazy. Like from heaven. Yeah, yeah, yeah. No, but she's a survivor, so. Yeah. Oh, you mean she died?
Starting point is 00:53:19 No, she survived. I was just thinking she was like just a literal angel. Okay. Yeah. I mean, they're alive, so they've survived. What? Angels. They're not alive.
Starting point is 00:53:30 What do you mean? They're not alive. No, they're not alive. They're not made of organic matter like us. No, no. They're in the spirits realm. The spirits aren't alive as we are defined as alive. But would they call themselves a survivor?
Starting point is 00:53:42 Can they get breast cancer? Maybe she did. It doesn't matter. So many questions. You guys throw me in so many weird. Okay. You guys can call us anytime. 877-77 Bobby.
Starting point is 00:53:53 That's our phone number. That's our voicemail line. Do you know the Pope's name? Pope. Come on. Come on. You got this. Pope. John.
Starting point is 00:54:04 No. Paul. Nope. Alex. Luke. Is it? Paul. Matthew, Mark.
Starting point is 00:54:10 Luke. John. disciples. Yeah. What is it? Corinthian. You don't know. You don't know the Pope's name?
Starting point is 00:54:19 Well, I mean, I'm sure. I will when you say it. He is new to be fair, but I didn't know. Yeah, because I remember when they let, they released the smoke. Yeah, but you don't know. You don't know. I can't think of it at this moment now. Pope Ron.
Starting point is 00:54:29 Ron. No, no, Amy. Amy's like, Ron. Once I started to say Ron, I was like, that's not right. Pope Skyler. What is it? Pope Leo. Pope what?
Starting point is 00:54:42 Leo's four favorite movies are, it's a wonderful life. Oh, that's a great one, dude. The Sound of Music. Never seen it. You have that of all people? An old movie that I'd love to see, but just have never seen it. 1965.
Starting point is 00:54:59 Ordinary People from 1980. Movie Mike, you ever seen that one? I've not seen that one. And Dodge Ball. No way. No, I'm kidding on that one. That would be awesome. And life is beautiful.
Starting point is 00:55:12 Oh, dude, that's the one I made you watch, Amy, the Italian movie. Yeah, and don't know, principation. Yeah, I had to watch it. written subtitles. What did you think about it? I think I ended up liking it, right? Yeah, you loved it. I don't know that I loved it. I mean, I was trapped. I watched it. I remember on the bus that we took to St. Jude one time, like you, we were on your like, like a tour bus thing. So it's kind of cozy, but I had nothing else to do.
Starting point is 00:55:36 And so you watched it. Yeah. It's hard to gauge if I really liked it. You loved it. It's so good. Give me your four favorite movies. Okay. The three have always been and they will always be. And it is Pretty Woman, Dirty dancing steel magnolius easy i never waver from that the fourth one is a little bit of a grab bag but today i'm going elf oh because the holiday season yeah it's holiday season and it's just such a good like perfect movie i love it my fourth changes a bit sometimes too like i got three solids which is man on the moon with jim kerry and he's playing andy coughman truman show with jim kerry oh
Starting point is 00:56:13 you don't love trumann show that's a good movie but you got two jim kerry So the third one's mask? The third one is Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. Jim Carrey. And I don't consider Jim Carrey to be one of my favorite actors, but my three favorite movies have serious Jim Carrey in it. Wow. That's what you like.
Starting point is 00:56:31 Not funny Jim Carrey, but serious Jim Carrey. And then my fourth is Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure. That's a good one. Because it was my favorite movie as a kid. That's phone booth, time travel, but I also learned so much about Socrates, Joan of Arc. Like I wanted to learn more about them Or Socrates, as they called them? Genghis Khan.
Starting point is 00:56:51 Yeah, because Bill and Ted went back in time and learned. And so I loved it. Keanu Reeves is in that. So I love Bill and Ted. So those are my four, Eddie. Mine's Forrest Gump. I have Shawshank Redemption, Field of Dreams. Like if it's ever on TV and I'm skipping channels,
Starting point is 00:57:04 I'm going to stop and watch it. And then my last one's Goodwill Hunting. Oh, that's a good one. Love it. I just saw it for the first time about a year ago. And you? It was good. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:57:14 Yeah. Is Andy McDowell on that? No. A mini driver. Same person. Different person. No, but it's same person. You wouldn't convince me if they walked in.
Starting point is 00:57:23 There's a difference in those two. Lunchbox. Yeah, it's easy. Braveheart, dazed and confused, old school, showgirls. That's not true. He's lying about show girls. Okay.
Starting point is 00:57:37 You guys don't like it. I like it. The first three are good. The first three, yes. Four of this, he's just trying to get us to be like, oh, you like show girls. Hey, movie Mike, what about you? You're in a movie expert.
Starting point is 00:57:46 your favorite four? Dark Night is number one. It's always been my number one. Broke the mold on superhero movies. Good. Number two is Twister, the movie I've seen the most. I've seen it over 50 times. Old Twister? Old Twister. Can you quote it back as it goes? Yeah. Okay. And then number three is Spider-Man 2. My favorite superhero of all time inspired the tattoo I have. Yeah, Spider-Man tattoo? I do have Spider-Man. I didn't know that. On my arm right here. Oh, yeah. Yeah. That's the reason I got that. And then my fourth one is the first Teenage Muti Turtle's movie. Favorite movie as a kid. That was good. So a lot of them are kind of our,
Starting point is 00:58:16 childhood teenage years movies. Mine aren't. Not yours. Here's her like college time, right? Yeah, we're a little after. Mine are always like, yeah, yeah. Because there's nothing like recent in the last five years that we're like, but here's the thing.
Starting point is 00:58:32 They don't make movies like they used to. They sure don't. There's just one thing I know. Movies and music, they don't make them like they used to. I'm curious to get your thoughts on this because there's a woman and she was with her boyfriend for a long time. They break up. she's now 34, but she's suing him because he stole her child-bearing years.
Starting point is 00:58:51 Never really thought about going for money for this. And also, you know, she has the decision to stay with him the whole time. It's not like he held her hostage for all of these years. But this is from the New York Post. A 34-year-old woman who was dumped after a decade of dating says she wants financial compensation from her ex for stealing her child-bearing years. She believes her former father. flame should now pay for IVF or egg freezing or just the equivalency of that in cash after
Starting point is 00:59:23 leaving her high and dry. Quote, here I am 34. Eggs twitching, ready for marriage, ready for the parenthood stage of life, but I'm unexpectedly single and emotionally devastated. I am tipping into the furious phase of the grief cycle and he owes me big. I want him to pay. I'll go to you first, you being the woman here. No, I think this is ridiculous.
Starting point is 00:59:46 Thank God, me too. I'm glad we could agree on this. If you thought for a second I wasn't going to agree with her, no. Obviously, you're devastated and you're acting like it. Yeah, you just need to pass that phase of grief. We need to get to the acceptance stage. This is your reality. This is what's happened to you and it's not his fault.
Starting point is 01:00:05 It's their fault. Unless he like held her captive. That's the only thing. If he held her hostage for 10 years, well, then he just needs to go to jail. This is not even a, hey, let's debate if there's money being owed. But you stayed in the relationship with this guy. For 10 years, you stayed in the relationship. And he could have lied to you and that's terrible.
Starting point is 01:00:24 And a lot of this wasted time, I'm saying wasted time is his fault. But a lot of the wasted time is your fault too because you chose to be with someone who did this. And it doesn't sound like from this. He was abusive. It doesn't sound like he was manipulating you in any way like that. There comes a point. And I think Eddie can attest to this where your wife gives you an ultimatum. Yeah, when we were dating, she was like, look, either you proposed to me or I'm leaving.
Starting point is 01:00:48 And that was the first time I'd ever thought about like, oh, yeah, marriage. And you'd been together six years? First time you ever thought about it. The first time? Yeah, we were having a good time. Like, we were just together. Didn't think we had to get married at that moment. But in her mind, she was ready.
Starting point is 01:01:03 Yeah, there is nothing that leads me to think that he owes her any money. We also don't know if she wasn't. The reason he broke up with her, like something could have been wrong with. her. Well, it sounds like a little bit. Yes. Yes. Yes. So, I'm glad that I wanted you to go first. Okay, thanks. Did you think I would... You never know.
Starting point is 01:01:22 You never know with you. Your Wicard. Really? Yeah. I'm always pretty logical. You're always... We go. Let's see what happens. Okay, cool. Yeah. Except when you talk about aliens, dude. Not very logical. That's extremely logical. Oh, right. Right. I listen at Nildegras Tyson going, yeah, for sure, there's things other than us. Just scientifically speaking, mathematically speaking. But you guys go out and believe little green men, where there's
Starting point is 01:01:46 not, whatever you think, the gender reveal parties, like these over the top gender reveal parties been very popular, social media, people are asking, hey, you guys are going to do one. No, obviously, we're not going to. Like, would I, if I had just created a baby by myself in my own womb, didn't have a wife? Yes, I might have the greatest gender reveal party in the history of time. I would have a spectacle. That'd be a great video. It'd be the great. It would go viral. But that's not what my wife's about. But now more and more couples are choosing to keep their gender reveals private.
Starting point is 01:02:20 Some people are just waiting until the delivery room, which I can't imagine that. I can't imagine that. You just have to be so prepared. And I guess you compare with randoms. That doesn't matter. I don't know. For me, I can't imagine that. We have friends that did that.
Starting point is 01:02:35 But it was always like their third kid. Not their first. None of my friends. I'm sure people have done first. We thought about doing that with our first, but then one of the ultrasound visits, they were like, oh, there it is. Oh. Oh, there is. Surprise.
Starting point is 01:02:48 Oh, there is. They were very, very, very careful through all of our visits to be like, okay. Do you want to say? No, do you already know. Oh, okay, okay. Yeah. And so, yeah, it'd be the, dude, I'd have like skydivers. Oh, skydivers.
Starting point is 01:03:06 It'd be like bottle service. Like with the smoke that comes out of the skydivers? Yep. And then they land. And you know how when you get bottle services at the bar? They come with the sparklers and everything. It'd be all of that. Wow.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Yeah. It'd be a, I'd be on a float and a parade. And you're sure you haven't talked to your wife about this? Like, that'd be kind of cool. You know, I'll probably get punched if I even made the joke about it. Yeah. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie.
Starting point is 01:03:28 Yeah, home there's something good. Candy Roy lives in Colorado and her husband's a truck driver. And for the first time in his truck driving career, he's not going to be home for the holidays. So she's like, this is so sad. I bet a lot of truck drivers. with this. So her and her children on Thanksgiving Day, what are they going to do? They're going to make a bunch of meals. They're going to go to the local truck stop and they're going to give out meals to all the truckers that are passing by. That's cool. Their goal is 200 meals. That's what
Starting point is 01:03:55 they did. They did a little crowd fund. So the community kind of gave money. They have enough for 200 meals. That sucks for them. But they also know that sucks for them. So it must suck for other people too. So they're going to go out and try to make it less sucky for other people like the truckers that are working and not with their families. And that's a good one. Turkey, gravy. All the fixings. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. And the morning,
Starting point is 01:04:21 and you turn the radio on, and the dial just keeps on turn. Now time for the morning, too, Steve Reddavitt's trying to put you through. MacDie's writing this week's next bit. Now Bobby's on the back so you know what this is. This is the Bobby Vaughn Stone. Now time for the Morning Corny.
Starting point is 01:04:50 The Morning Corny. My friends keep telling me to stop telling Thanksgiving jokes. Okay. But I can't just quit cold turkey. That was the morning corny. That's pretty good. I didn't know. I didn't know.
Starting point is 01:05:08 I didn't think that was going to be pretty good. It was. Yeah, pretty good. All right, hit me with that voicemail. Hey, just wondering, did Amy's psychic cousin predict that Bobby was going to have a baby this year? Thanks. Did you? I don't know, it's been a long time.
Starting point is 01:05:22 I don't remember the last time we, you know, had a reading from her for the show. Yeah, and I feel like listeners now just invent things that she said right when they hear something is coming up. Yeah. Like I hurt my foot. Didn't Amy Psychic Cousin say you were going to have surgery on your left ankle? She definitely did say lunchbox was not going to get a new car and he hasn't. Oh, that's crazy. But that could be, no, but that's different.
Starting point is 01:05:47 He cannot get one to prove her right. Why would he do that, though? That's different. But if she says something that he's not going to do any psychic, you can not do it to prove the psychic. It doesn't matter. Okay. And we haven't had an name of his cousin in a while. I feel like he's anti-herer, so he's like. Unless they've worked out of deal. Oh, side deal.
Starting point is 01:06:06 Lobby Bone Show. Bonehead. Story of the day. This story comes to us from Wisconsin. Back in February, the government was thinking about banning TikTok. Well, this one 20-year-old was like, I cannot live without TikTok. and his local congressman voted to ban TikTok. So he went in the middle of the night and burned down his office.
Starting point is 01:06:27 Whoa. What? Like now? Well, I think back then. Back then, he just pleaded guilty. He pled not guilty. And he was like, you know what? Actually, I did it.
Starting point is 01:06:37 Amy was more blown away to how lady was than him actually burning down the office. I was just like, okay. Well, he took time to think about it. He still decided to do it. He was still mad. So I was respecting the patience. Okay, so I'm assuming you go to jail for a long time for that. Yeah, he is facing up to 40 years in prison.
Starting point is 01:06:55 Dang. They never banned TikTok. It's never going to be banned. Yeah, but he voted for it, so. No, that's not justification. So he took the vote out by burning the house? His office. Not even his house.
Starting point is 01:07:08 Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. So we got a call and the guy was all upset because Amy didn't remember Kyler's name who killed. keeps track of every game we play all year. Hit that. Amy referred to that guy that keeps track of the games. His name is Kyler. Just please remember his name.
Starting point is 01:07:31 I mean, he spent so much time probably keeping track all that stuff. Just remember his name. So we thought that was Kyler calling in as somebody else being upset that Amy didn't know Kyler's name. Then we get this call. Kyler from Ozark. I'm listening to Tuesday's post show talking about me, and then you guys double-checked. And they're like, oh, yeah, that was Kyler. That was not me.
Starting point is 01:07:58 My voice doesn't sound like that. Go back to listen to it. I would never call and refer to myself as a third person. That's weird. See you. All right, so now we know. That was not Kyler. We fact checked incorrectly.
Starting point is 01:08:11 And Kyler, we apologize. That's it for the show. We will see you tomorrow. Bye, buddy. Get your bones on. The Bobby Bone Show. The Bobby Bone Show theme song, written, produced, and sang by Reed Yarberry. You can find his Instagram at Reed Yarberry.
