Starting point is 00:02:51 All right, let's run some voice emails here, number one. The trivia, where they're very bad at it, can we just make Eddie do Matt? Last love the show. Bye. thought you did pretty good, though, considering how bad you act like you are. I thought you did poison pill pretty good. No, I'm bad, dude. I'm bad. And like those questions, my brain hurt for the rest of the day after I thought that game. Yes, it didn't. You weren't sore. Your brain wasn't sore for you and Matt. I didn't want to think about anything after that. Okay. All right, number two.
Starting point is 00:03:22 I have a great idea for a bit for lunchbox. I think he needs to substitute teach. I was a teacher, and I'm telling you, it is harder than you think. And if he substitutes, he's just, you need. He's going to be there during the school day, it doesn't include all the extra prep work that teachers do. Lunchbox is sick. So he doesn't want to say anything. He doesn't want to talk. Teachers have it easy. We all have work after work. Teachers aren't the only people that have work at home. Let's not act like they're the only ones that after hours have to prep for the next day. Am I, am I crazy? Eddie? Yeah, take it.
Starting point is 00:04:08 Also, I'm not, yeah. I'm not even going to align myself with him. We're not on the same team. Uh-uh. I'm very a pro-teacher. They have three months off in the summer, a month off in the winter. That does seem cool. They have a month off in the winter?
Starting point is 00:04:21 Yes. They do have like a lot of... A month? Where's he getting a month? All right, three and a half weeks. Sorry. And then they have like summer breaks, winter breaks, spring breaks, spring breaks, fall breaks. But a lot of the breaks, aren't they working?
Starting point is 00:04:32 No. I don't know about it. They have. Like teacher work day. I don't know. Sometimes they have teacher work days too and like, you know, I don't know what they're doing. They're at school doing stuff. Are they?
Starting point is 00:04:44 Yes. I still am not aligning myself in any way whatsoever. Eddie kind of sound like you started to start. No, no, I was just trying to like think about what he was saying because there are a lot of days. A lot of days. But they still work very hard. And I don't think him being a substitute teacher would really help his stance on that. Our substitute teachers were always idiot.
Starting point is 00:05:01 They didn't do anything. There's always dudes who came in that were like, play a movie. Yeah, but they like flirt with the girls a little too much. It was always like, they were always creepy. Oh, yeah. Oh. I didn't notice that. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:05:13 I'm like saying that happened. Do you have a picture of the possum? Look at this thing. We're talking about this earlier. I'm going to show you guys a picture of the possum. Can we put the camera on the page? Zoom in on that thing. You're telling me that is not cute.
Starting point is 00:05:28 There's nothing about that's cute. Yeah, that is looking a little rough. But if it closed its mouth and had a cute little smile. What was crazy was to the dog And the bulldog's bigger than that possum Like it was ready to go I don't know if it was gonna fight or what it was But it was up
Starting point is 00:05:43 As soon as I walked over It just fell over to its side And acted dead It was crazy to see I kind of laugh But then I'm trying to pull Stanley back Because Stanley's over Just like hitting it with his paw
Starting point is 00:05:52 It is hilarious The way they play dead Yeah Like fell too Like comedically fell Like deer oh boom But you guys were talking about how cute That's cute
Starting point is 00:06:03 It's pretty cute It looks like a fairer It's satanic. That is Satan. They would show that at a Zach Brown show. You know what's not cute about them, though, is the tail. The tails are not cute. The hair is gross.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Yeah. The face has no hair and its teeth. It looks like it's ready to eat you right now. Yeah, I will say up close, this is not giving the cute vibes that I had from far away. But in general, I think their faces are kind of cute. Just wanted you guys to see that. Thank you. And everybody watching on our YouTube channel.
Starting point is 00:06:29 Morgan. It is also a good thing you have these in your yard because they eat ticks and they don't. They don't carry rabies or anything. They don't. I didn't kill it. I let it go back to its home. I came back in the morning to make sure, because I knew I, to make sure that it didn't die when it saw me for real. So I went back to the place to make sure it wasn't still here. Like it had a heart attack. Yeah, like it literally had a stroke when I walked upon it. Yeah. No, it's all good. There it is. There it is all good. There it is all good. There is all good. There is all right. There is all right. I guess you guys. I was in my house once and brushed me on the leg and I thought it was my dog. I was in the kitchen. back door open other dog white dog
Starting point is 00:07:07 so I see one of the it just looks like my dog and it runs up and slaps me in the leg and I thought it was my dog and I look down
Starting point is 00:07:15 and I'm like oh my god that's scary actually I looked in the backyard and I saw my dog through the window and I was like then what just hit me in the leg
Starting point is 00:07:21 and there's a and it's in the corner going so I had to get a broom and like brush it out that thing it did not play dead that one was right
Starting point is 00:07:30 and mix it up it was in my kitchen all right next one so does Mike D still eat whatever he wants. I think it was Christmas Day and question for lunchbox. How did he and his wife
Starting point is 00:07:42 meet? That's it. Have a great day. Mike? I retired that a couple years ago. You're not doing... Oh, wow. What'd you call it? Wow. I had a name. My purge day? Oh, yeah. I used to need it. I don't really need it anymore. So, Mike has lost over 100 pounds. It's kept it off for years and years and years now. It's also a
Starting point is 00:08:00 vegan, but not not wear leather kind, right? Yeah. Just Just an eating vegan? Is there a term for that, just an eating vegan? No, I think most people who are vegan, it's all encompassing. Right. So if you're like a real vegan, you don't have anything to do with animal, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:18 No leather, no hides. We all love a good hide, right? Good fur. Boots. Yeah. And then it's food as well. Yeah. But then you're not that.
Starting point is 00:08:27 No, because I think I'll have clothes with leather on it. You love a fur. Yeah. I've seen you in a meat coat before. But you're not doing the purge. A couple years ago, I was like, I don't really feel like I need that day anymore. So I'm like, eh, I don't really want to do it. Do you allow yourself to have stuff more than you would?
Starting point is 00:08:42 Yeah, I think I've got to a better place where I can have it throughout the year and not feel like I'm going to go and revert back to my ways of like, I'm going to have this all the time now. So I don't really need that one day to get it a lot of my system. Morgan, are you a vegan? Pretty much. I mean, I don't eat dairy anymore with my new diet and stuff. Oh, great point. Do you eat dairy? No.
Starting point is 00:09:01 So you don't do dairy and no meat, obviously. Yeah. So I do eggs, so that's not... Oh, yeah. When did you start the dairy? Because you would eat mac and cheese a lot. Oh, yeah. That used to be a lot of my diet. With the cleanse I've been doing, because dairy's super... Oh, like just a month ago. A couple months ago. Yeah, two months now. It's really inflammatory. So what do you eat? I've found a lot of different recipes, a lot of chickpeas, a lot of legumes, salads. I don't know.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Do you wear leather? No. A lot of my products don't have. They're all like vegan and stuff. Purposefully? Yeah, I try really hard to do it. I mean, I'm not, I won't seek out a fur coat or I won't seek out leather. But I also, like, products are really hard. They sneak a lot of stuff in there. So I've tried to be really more intentional about finding, like, clean, vegan products.
Starting point is 00:09:45 But you eat eggs? Yeah. Oh, babies. But I have a weird relationship with eggs. I'll love them for two months. And then all of a sudden I'll want to, like, throw up eating them. It's weird. Oh, poor eggs.
Starting point is 00:09:54 So if, like, an animal, like, say this possum died of natural causes. And it left you, it's nice little fur coat. like could you wear that you're not killing it it died of natural causes is that okay are you asking me or a vegan a vegan not you i guess yeah Morgan do you find this possum in the yard you're a little chilly yeah yeah you're cold you're a little chilly you got a pocket knife uh no i'm not i'm not touching that i have i couldn't even when i used to go fishing with my dad he would have to put the worm on the thing and take the fish off of it i couldn't even touch it i just anything associated with any version of that grosses me out i don't know
Starting point is 00:10:30 that there's anything wrong with it eddie i just personally couldn't do that. I don't think I could ever actually skin an animal. I was telling Morgan that during Thanksgiving, my son saw me like take the organs out of the turkey, like the heart and the liver and all that stuff. And he was like, what is that? And I was like, this is a heart.
Starting point is 00:10:47 It's like the insides of the turkey. He was like, I'm not eating that. So I think I may have ruined like turkey for the rest of his life because he saw that. I didn't know there were organs in a turkey. You buy it a grocery store. Yeah, they come in a little bag. That's like what you make the gravy out of. You make the gravy out of the neck.
Starting point is 00:11:02 So if you buy a frozen turkey, the organs are in there? They put it in a bag for you. Oh, it's not in the turkey. They put the bag in the turkey. Really? Yeah, they bag it up and it's in the inside of the turkey. Did you know that? The gizzards.
Starting point is 00:11:14 Gizzards. Yeah. Did you know they put it in the bag into the turkey? I know that some, I don't know that every turkey did it, but yeah, because that's how you make the gravy. You put the gizzards. I never made gravy. Well, that's the thing. You eat gravy.
Starting point is 00:11:25 You like, I'm not eating that gravy. Yeah. He's now vegan? No, he's not, yeah. Lunchbox, you answer the question? Oh, what was cool? Oh, we met through a mutual friend at a party. That's it.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Sounds like the most vague answer you can give. I mean, that was it. I mean, drinking at a party and she was all over me. What can I say? All right, fair enough. All right, next one. One of my favorite bits that you all always do is the 12 days of Bobby Bones show Christmas. Are y'all going to do that again this year?
Starting point is 00:11:55 The worst it is and the morale takes there are the better. Thanks. Love listening. We haven't done that in a while. we can somebody just has to write it. You guys remember that song? Yeah. Each of us has our thing and then we tried to get all the way through it.
Starting point is 00:12:08 I think we did it last Christmas. Yeah, we did. We just need to update it. Yeah. Like new things? Yeah, because now having cheap anymore. Yeah, I mean, to your point, it has been a while. It's been a year, dude.
Starting point is 00:12:19 Are you sure we did it last year? 204, yeah. I remember messing up like five times. No, I remember that. It just didn't feel like last year. It feels like, I don't know, at least 2023. Mm-hmm. No, we did it.
Starting point is 00:12:30 Because I think we did it. We did it. It was our first Christmas in this new studio. We did it in this room. We did. Right here. Are you just trying to talk? Yep. Trying to show you my voice in and back.
Starting point is 00:12:41 You're good. You're good, dude. Did you see the lyrics right there? And we did that here? Dang. Dude, I don't know. My memory is garbage. I don't know anything.
Starting point is 00:12:53 But you do know a lot. I know a lot, but I don't retain anything anymore. On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me a razor bag jersey to. And then I mean the therapist And they did smoking chickens And then Mike did movie stubs And lunchbox did broken down altamas Oh he would do the
Starting point is 00:13:10 Bro, Borgandown Ultimus Morgan did ducked jeeps But she doesn't have a Jeep anymore Oh yeah she's Bronco You're gonna have to change that Brunken Bunkin Buckees Six Doug Jeeps That how he goes
Starting point is 00:13:22 Six Doug Jeeves Six Dug Jeeps No I'm doing her new version Bunkin Broncos Well bucking but that'd be a horse Well how about like a A Broncos Horace.
Starting point is 00:13:33 Another boyfriend. Don't do that. Don't do that. A new boyfriend. But that's like, that fits, updated. No, I don't do that. That's good.
Starting point is 00:13:46 And it kind of like works in there. A new boyfriend. I'm not going to make her do that one. Yeah, but then you're going to have to change it next year then. To another new boyfriend. You just never know. I just saying you never know it has a change again at some point. Another new boyfriend.
Starting point is 00:14:02 Are still the same boyfriend That works too Maybe I'm a fiance next year I don't know Oh boy Oh what's Abby's Hold on hold on Let me do
Starting point is 00:14:13 A diamond ring Instead of ducked jeeps You can just do Six Broncos It's doing syllables You don't need a bucking Bronco That sounds like a horse Like a real horse
Starting point is 00:14:25 But on the Bronco It's kind of like it's a Bucking horse Yeah but she had a Jeep And the ducks were in the Jeep You wouldn't say six, Jeep and jeeps. Gotcha. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:36 Well, also, people's numbers can move around as we need to see fit. Abby has seven angry callers. Yeah, we can change. You can do, I mean, you can do seven. But it's seven, though. Does that matter that the number? Because it's supposed to, because she doesn't have seven diamond rings. She doesn't.
Starting point is 00:14:53 Yeah, can we move the. We can change, right? People's numbers. She's going to be one? I don't think so. We're just going to leave it as it is and find seven. She had angry callers. I mean, that was funny.
Starting point is 00:15:07 And she would always be like, seven angry callers. Oh, did I? Yikes. Scooby did eight baldheads glistening, nine protein smoothies as Ray, 10 freezing studios with the girls. Yeah, we could probably hit this again.
Starting point is 00:15:22 Still freezing. Still, nothing's changed in a year. Yes, we will attempt to do that. That's fun. And recorded before a while. I've also done way less therapy this year, I think. So thank you. What was yours?
Starting point is 00:15:34 Therapists. That's what. Two therapists. Two. Okay, what do you want to do? I don't know. Still works. I haven't smoked a turkey in a while either.
Starting point is 00:15:45 He did smoking chickens. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Maybe yours is like homemade salsa. Okay. Three homemade zasasas. All right. I like that.
Starting point is 00:15:56 What do you want for yours then? Oh, I don't know. I hadn't thought about it. I just was thinking about how this year has been way less therapy. Could you be a new boyfriend? Two? New boyfriend?
Starting point is 00:16:07 Oh yeah, it's not two, yeah. Two new boyfriends. Cardinals or birds? Yeah, but then you have to explain it for people that don't You really don't have to give a backstory to people that are new. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:19 We'll think about it. We'll try to nail it down before we do it. We'll try to sing it again before we're out of here. Give me one more. I keep hearing this thing about the dance party. A lady just called in about the Christmas dance party.
Starting point is 00:16:30 Where does this dance party happen is this something that happens live on the radio so if you can just let us know who are just podcast listeners be thankful have a good day bye you want to explain to amy yeah so music is not loud on podcast so yes it is something that is on the live part of the radio show and it is so fun it's like bobby puts together like all these fun songs and mixes them up and you get like what is it 20 minutes of just jams Yeah. Or something like that.
Starting point is 00:17:03 Something like that. Yeah, we do it on Fridays. So it's on the actual radio. Like Amy said, we can't play music. But that's what it is. And that's why people were calling asking for a Christmas one. We used to be able to put it on the podcast, which is crazy to think about way back in the day.
Starting point is 00:17:17 Before there are rules. The Wildest. That would be fun to listen to. Put the whole podcast out there, whole dance party. We do the Friday morning dance party playlist. It's not the same because you're not in it. But if you want the songs. And it's whole songs too.
Starting point is 00:17:29 Yeah. So that's what's different about it. But we do have. that on I heart. On an eye heart radio? All right, let's go around the room, Amy. So, Brittany Spears turned 44 last week, and now we know what she did to celebrate because yesterday she posted pictures of her, like, on a yacht.
Starting point is 00:17:46 And she captioned it. Did a flip off the boat, but I hurt myself. And then there was, like, zero footage of the flip or the injury. Like, the comment had nothing to do with the pictures. And the pictures and the videos would be just what you would expect. And there was almost, like, some nudity. and I don't know. It's just, well, first of all, crazy, she turned 44 because that's our, it's like, oh, wow, she's our age.
Starting point is 00:18:09 Like, this is, I had to unfollow her from Instagram, so it was something I saw an article that she posted because it would just break my heart anytime I would see her post. Yeah, the free Britney movement, not the best movement. Yeah, so then when I read about it, I was like, oh my gosh, she's 44. So, like, yay, she's made it to 44. And I just feel for her because she's not clearly actually really 44. Or like mentally some things, you know, it's just, I don't know. It just makes me sad. But happy birthday to Brittany and she did get to celebrate on a yacht.
Starting point is 00:18:46 You really pumped her up there. Did the movement kind of start all this? No. The movement allowed her to do it freely. Okay, because they're protecting her, right? Yes, the movement, she was already probably not well. that's why she was under a conservatorship. So the movement didn't start this.
Starting point is 00:19:03 But the movement freed her from the conservatorship, which was what was probably protecting her from being out and freely doing these things. And I must say when the free Brittany people, like I, they won me over to where I thought, oh, wow, yeah, she, I wasn't obviously out there with signs or anything. It didn't impact me day to day. but I was leaning more towards them versus anybody else that was sort of holding her down or holding her back.
Starting point is 00:19:38 Like, that's where I was leaning, to be honest. It was easy to lean that way because you weren't seeing any of the scary footage because it wasn't allowed out by her conservatorship. And they were protecting her from doing stuff. Right. I don't remember, but who, like, how did everybody know that she had a conservatorship? Like, how did we know that? Did she say that? I think it's public.
Starting point is 00:19:59 Yeah, I believe you're right. I think it was. Yeah. You can find the court documents because to be in a conservatorship, you have to go to court. It has to be a judge. Like, the judge has to approve it, allow it. So yes. Happy birthday, Brittany.
Starting point is 00:20:15 Yeah. Happy 44. Again. Woo, go Brittany. Brittany. That's a good story. Eddie. This should settle the debate.
Starting point is 00:20:24 The Nashville Symphony had a concert last night. It's not home alone. Don't do the home alone crap. Home alone in concert. and they say that... It works at Christmas too. Can I finish? But no, you started with a settle a debate.
Starting point is 00:20:37 I know what the debate is you're talking about. There's the description of the concert. It says you can watch the movie while listening to its soundtrack live with an orchestra and this is everyone's favorite Christmas movie. That's great night. Yeah, that's awesome. I love it for everybody.
Starting point is 00:20:52 Hope everybody had a great time. They also show the movie in March and in July. They don't show other Christmas movies in March and July. Where is it that they're doing this? On random television, because I get tagged in it all the time when it shows up. Oh, people tag you on that? Yeah, they're like, look, you're right.
Starting point is 00:21:05 I got like two people that agree with me. The rest of the world doesn't. Man, there's a lot of cool stuff in town. Like, I saw that they were doing it's a wonderful life, like a play. That's kind of fun. Like, a lot of Christmas stuff. A lot of the Christian singers, they're doing their stuff too. Yes, right up their will house now.
Starting point is 00:21:21 It's definitely their time of year. It's like their holiday, yeah. So, yeah. Morgan, what do you have? I have an update on my story about Ed, the 88-year-old, Army veteran. So remind you guys, and Amy, you weren't here, I'll tell you. So an influencer found him in a grocery store. He had retired from General Motors in 1999. In 2012, they shut down. He lost his pension. His wife got sick. She ended up passing away. And with all of her medical bills,
Starting point is 00:21:45 he has over $230,000 in debt. And so he started working again because he didn't want to leave that debt to his family. And he hasn't even been able to afford funds to go see his sick brother and his brother's sick wife. So the update, after the information, Founder found him. He was presented with a check from the money raised $100, no, 1.77 million. It was one of the biggest individual fundraisers in GoFundMe history. What I was concerned about was the internet doing what the internet does and then starting to dig up dirt on him. Because anybody gets famous or gets a GoFundMe, they start to dig up dirt. They just are like going to find things to like tear people down. I didn't see anything on this guy.
Starting point is 00:22:24 I haven't either. And I hope not. He seems like just, and they were really kind too. They set him up with a financial group for no fees so they can help him get all of his stuff sorted out. $1.7 million. Sort it out, though. He's $88. Let him writ. Let him rip. What do you mean sort it out?
Starting point is 00:22:42 Go hard? IRA? No. Go Brittany? Yes, dude. Let him move. They put him in a conservatorship. You don't agree with that?
Starting point is 00:22:48 Sort the money out. Get out of here. He doesn't have to die. Ryan Bartlett three days ago gave $10,000. And William Ackman, which I think we talked about six days ago, gave 10,000. People just gave the guy tons of money. Is Ryan Bartlett the dude from the Cubs? Ryan Bartlett? No, you're thinking of Bartman. Steve Bartman.
Starting point is 00:23:07 Steve Bartman. Yeah, different dude. Got it. Cheetos Flaming Hot Dill pickle puffs are going to stores. I've tried the, not the puffs, but the deal flaming hots. They're okay. The pickle fries at Sonic A-plus. Is it just pickled flavoring? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:23:23 Oh, sorry, it's a pickle fried. Yeah, these are fried pickles. So it looks like French fries, but they're pickle slices. Correct. Okay, got it. Those are really good. But they also put into my waters, I'll do the pickle balls.
Starting point is 00:23:35 The boba. Boba balls. And I like pickles. No, they're good, Amy. I like pickles, but I don't love, love pickles. It's not like I'm Mr. Pickle. But it's awesome. Like the flavor of a pickle next to certain things is really good.
Starting point is 00:23:50 You wouldn't think that it works, but it works. Yeah, so Cheetos is putting out the Flaming Hot Dill pickle puffs. And I bet you, it sounds fine, but I bet you they're really good. Oh, yeah, they sound good. I don't like pickles, but I like pickle-flavored chips and stuff. Have you had the sunflower seeds, pickle-flavored from you? When we would go out and play golf? That was the best.
Starting point is 00:24:10 Yeah. That was the best. Did Taylor Swift buy her wedding date from another bride? Taylor Swift reportedly wanted a book a venue in Rhode Island for June 13th, but another couple already had it, so apparently she paid them to change the date. Oh, heck yeah, I'd take her money. I would change my date if she's going to pay me. So I've seen a couple versions of this. There's this story, and then I'll give you another version that I heard.
Starting point is 00:24:34 The New York Post says that Taylor has dead set on Mary and Travis Kelsey. Boy, he sucked last night, didn't he? Yeah, he did. Dropping everything. Golly. Yeah, you need to go be with her, dude. Just go get married. Just call it a day.
Starting point is 00:24:48 And while initial reports claimed they were going to get hitched at a Rhode Island estate, plans changed. Instead, she decided on a nearby venue called Ocean House. Unfortunately, another couple had already booked it, so Taylor made them an offer they couldn't refuse. In other words, she flooded them with cash. 13 is Taylor's favorite number, obviously. So I saw this and I saw a story from people going, that's not true and maybe even from the bride.
Starting point is 00:25:11 So I really don't know if it's true or not. However, if she did, that bride would never be able to say it was true. Oh, yeah. If you get asked about this, just deny it. It's an indie A for sure. Yeah. But I would totally do that. I would take the money.
Starting point is 00:25:25 It's not going to be $10,000. It's going to be half a million or more. Yeah. Really? Morgan, what are we going to say? If she does have to sign an NDA, would she just have to sign it until the weddings happen and then she could talk about it or it's just indefinite? Well, NDAs are different, but I'm assuming it would be in NDAs in forever. In perpetuity.
Starting point is 00:25:43 That's a long time. Yeah, you can't talk about it because it never happened. Can you tell like it late? I'd be like, I'd write in there. I won't publicly say it, but what about like my... You can tell your spouse. Well, your spouse obviously. knows because they had to sign it too.
Starting point is 00:25:57 Exactly. Oh, they had to sign it too. And then like your parents. No cousins or anything? You're made of honor. They'll sue you. If it gets out, they sue you. Then it gets out.
Starting point is 00:26:06 Yeah, but you don't tell your cousins. They talk about everything. Could you negotiate other things too? Like, all right, we'll take the money, but can I go to the wedding too? You can negotiate whatever you want at any point. I would throw some stuff in there. I mean, people would know. Like, if you had that wedding date and then you didn't and then Taylor ended up getting married,
Starting point is 00:26:25 Then you just be like wink, wink. Yeah, but you didn't tell them though, so you're good. I know. You don't have to say anything. You don't have to say anything. You just show them the cash. Oh, that's cool too. Taylor's money.
Starting point is 00:26:35 That's cool, man. That would be awesome. I would imagine, again, it's at least half a million dollars. It's like your lucky day. I would take one of those dollar bills. I got to get one dollar bill out of there and frame it. She's not handing you a bucket of cash. It's probably getting wired to your checking.
Starting point is 00:26:52 Doesn't matter though. That was her money and now it's my money. But you make that part of the deal. I need a briefcase. You delivered by you. If you're going to have that, then you have her sign the dollar bill. But then you can't show it because you signed it in the A to never actually talk about. We'll be like, oh, I ran into Taylor at a bar and she signed this.
Starting point is 00:27:12 And so you have it framed by the way? No, no, no, me. You need the real story. Well, whatever. That's cool. A win is a win. A win. I don't care which I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:27:22 Yep, that's me. Clipper Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Starting point is 00:28:37 about who we are and who we become when life makes other plans. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent and that is is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Because I know deep down inside right now, we are all cursing and asking what the bleep is going on.
Starting point is 00:31:26 I'm talking to people like Julie K. Brown, who broke the explosive story on Jeffrey Epstein in 2018. These victims have been let down time and time again for decades and decades by local law enforcement, by federal law enforcement, by administration after administration. The Justice Department through, I think we counted four presidential administrations, failed these victims. Listen to Bleep with Anna Navarro as part of the MyCultura podcast network. If you have a friend that's moving their wedding date and they were at that venue on that date, it's because Taylor just paid them out. And if they're driving a new car today, it's like there will be some. Yeah, it's one of those. I wouldn't say if I won the lottery, but there would be signs.
Starting point is 00:32:23 A man was stabbed in the neck by a 44-year-old woman during a road rage incident in Seattle. Seattle police were investigating a road rage incident that ended up in a stabbing. After the crash, the two drivers got out and began arguing. One of the drivers, a 44-year-old woman went back to her car as the male driver approached her and continued arguing. SPD said the man reached the driver's side of the door, and the woman reached and grabs him, grabs a knife, stabs him in the neck. I feel like she's being threatened here. If you're walking back to your car and some dude's following you back, because that's what feels like is happening here, SPD said as the man reached the driver's side,
Starting point is 00:33:00 the woman stabbed him in the neck. If we're fighting and I'm like, I'm going to retreat and go back to my car and you follow me to my car. You're not protecting yourself? I think so. The man stumbled around the street before being able to flag down an ambulance. The 44-year-old woman stayed at the scene
Starting point is 00:33:16 and was arrested without incident. Also, if you're staying at the street, the scene, you probably know you didn't really do anything that wrong. Like your stabbing is not going to end up being whatever the charge is. Now, you did get out of your car and fight because of road rage. And there's going to be, you're going to get arrested and something's going to happen to you. But I feel like if somebody follow me back to my car after a fight, I'm probably protecting myself. That's from Cairo 7. Thoughts? Yeah. This is why you don't get involved in any road rage. That's why you don't get to that point anyway. Yeah. I agree with that.
Starting point is 00:33:44 Like, don't do that. Why do you chime in with that? No, I'm just saying, yeah. You're Mr. Road Dude, I saw a TikTok video. Oh, it made me so sad. Brett Eldridge, Mr. Christmas. I'm Mr. Pickle. You're Mr. Road rage. I'm not. I'm not.
Starting point is 00:33:55 Dude, I really don't try to road rage. I just try to help. Nobody goes out. You know what? Today I'm trying to road rage. Like, nobody leaves their house with the idea, Honey, I'm bored. It's just no respect.
Starting point is 00:34:07 Like, you got to respect your other drivers, like everyone else on the road. And when someone's not respecting everyone else, I feel like I need to kind of represent. Yeah, it's not your job. I know that. Like, it's not worth it. But I did see a TikTok video.
Starting point is 00:34:18 it's so sad where this guy, they were road raging and this guy was taking his kid to school and the guy shot at him and he hit the kid and killed the kid. Oh my gosh. It was the worst video I've ever seen in my life. That was on TikTok? The cop gets there and the guy's just like, you shot myself. I don't know. The guy's like, I did. I'm sorry. I were... That was on TikTok?
Starting point is 00:34:34 Yeah. It was body cam. Dude, I am stuck on body cam footage. Oh, no. And he was just like, I did it. I did it. I'm telling you right now, I did it. I didn't know the kid was back there. And I purposely shot behind him because I didn't think I was going to hit him. Didn't know the kid was back there. Oh, he was just trying to scare him. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Dude, it was like, so sad. Okay, I don't, I hate what I'm about to say because I don't believe it. But if you want to scare him, just wave the gun. There's no need to shoot it. Yeah. First of all, don't even have. Or like, shoot at the tire. No, don't shoot at the tire.
Starting point is 00:35:04 No, don't shoot at the tire's, would be cool. You know, like that. Don't shoot it anything. Don't even pull the gun out, but I'm saying. Yeah, don't even get annoyed. Like, I'm just talking out. No, I get annoyed. Amy, you don't get annoyed.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Okay. What about the guy, the motorcycle guy that hit your window, like your mirror? I was scared. I was like, oh my gosh, I can't believe you just reacted that way. Get control of yourself. Like, that's what I think? Like, I'm like, what is wrong with y'all? Losing your minds over, and by the way, in that case, I had done nothing wrong.
Starting point is 00:35:35 They were the dangerous, reckless ones. Do you guys feel like every motorcycle that drives up on you from behind when they're wearing a full helmet is going to pull a gun on you? No. No. Yeah, me either. You must. Why, dude? Why do you know that?
Starting point is 00:35:48 If they drive up and they're like dressed all in a certain color and they have like a matching helmet, I feel like they're an assassin. And I'm always thinking about one, because they can pull guns pretty easily because their bodies, they don't have like a car. They just wham. Well, you've had guns pulled on you. Yeah, but never are driving. Okay. Oh, so they weren't on motorcycles or anything? No.
Starting point is 00:36:09 None of the ones have been pulled on me. It's always in real life. No, no, I'm saying the ATM one. That way they weren't on motorcycle? I don't know why. All on foot. All on foot. But there's a lot of movies.
Starting point is 00:36:17 where people pull up a motorcycle, boom, boom, boom, and get out of there. If, like, you know in the movies, you know when like, uh, born, Jason Bourne or whatever goes up to a car and like, I need your car. And the guy was like, okay, take it. Would you if someone like came up to you and said like, I need your car, I'm following them. Do they have a gun? I'm a police officer, whatever. Yeah. Would you give your car?
Starting point is 00:36:36 No. No. I wouldn't give them my car. What if they showed you a badge? Like, I need your car, sir. If they show me a badge, you'd have to make a decision quick. You're not going to inspect the badge at all? Can you get in trouble for not giving a cop your car?
Starting point is 00:36:51 Yeah, I don't think a cop can just go to a random car and be like, I need your car. It's not like eminent domain for land. They can't do that with cars. There's no way. Yes, police can legally take your car in extreme rare emergencies. All right, I guess there's a way.
Starting point is 00:37:05 Often under old posse committatus laws. What's that from the Western days? Requiring citizen assistance, but it's highly uncommon. Give me your horse. Usually involves immediate day. It sounds like. And leaves the police liable for damage, which is why they typically avoid it. So that is a thing.
Starting point is 00:37:24 That's a great question because I don't know that I would. I think I would just try to get in shut it and lock and drive off. Yeah. If they had a gun, I'd give them the car. That's called a carjacking. Correct. It's different. The posse.
Starting point is 00:37:37 How would you say that word, Mike? Comititis? What? Comititis? Yeah. No. That's the act. You know what eminent domain is?
Starting point is 00:37:47 They can take any land. Yes, yes, yes. A 73-year-old man in Mississippi tried to buy a 10-month-old girl during an auction in Louisiana. What? He was arrested November 29th after authorities, they attempted to buy a 10-month-old at the Angie auction house. Investigators allege he approached a woman on November 26 and offered to purchase her infant daughter. It was weird that it's at an auction house and he's trying to buy because it makes you think they're auctioning off a baby there. Yeah, I was like, should we also start with the people that are auctioning the baby?
Starting point is 00:38:16 Yeah, let's start with them. Break into the auction house and shut that down. So what do you mean? Like the lady was selling her baby? No, he just is an old weird dude. And was like, how much was a little girl? But in real life. An undercover operation led to a warrant.
Starting point is 00:38:32 He is charged with selling minor children. Officials have not released the details of the interaction with the mother and the investigation remains ongoing with full cooperation from the auction house. It's weird as an auction house, right? Investigators allege he approached a woman to ever. 26 and offered a purchase their infant daughter prompting a joint investigation. That's got to never work, right? Randomly going up to somebody with a kid
Starting point is 00:38:54 offering to buy the kid. I wouldn't think that would work. I would think that the success rate is so low and that you're probably going to get the cops calling you almost every time. Depending on the day though. Somebody came to me, bad day with the kids. I take that one.
Starting point is 00:39:07 I don't think so. Just joking. Did he get bad intel? Like, hey. Possibly. So it has nothing to do with the auction house. They just happen to be there. That's the weird thing.
Starting point is 00:39:17 to me it makes it feel like it was a kid auction. Yeah. Like you see and taken. Yeah. Yeah, they've been trafficked. That's weird, yeah. Yeah. But they're being trafficked.
Starting point is 00:39:28 Yeah, but that's, say no more. I don't need to. That was it. Hey, what do you think? What do you know about Fabergerge? This is a competition we had when you weren't here. I don't know anything about this word. Try.
Starting point is 00:39:41 Fabrogé. You never heard of that word? Faberge, like a Faberge egg. Fabergerge. Mm-hmm. sounds like lingerie. Interesting. This makes me feel better because I thought, man, if Amy was here, she knew exactly what this was.
Starting point is 00:39:55 No, I don't know what a Faberget egg is. Like what kind of an egg? Like an egg in a woman's body or an egg you eat or a chocolate egg? It's a luxury brand and they make these very expensive eggs. And they had one that was like millions of dollars. But then we went to the website and they also have like $60,000 ones. It's a Russian luxury brand. I was getting it confused with Febrize.
Starting point is 00:40:17 but it's like a gold egg it's made of all kinds of jewelry oh I think I've seen though they're like yeah they're eggs and they're really beautiful and ornate we talked about how somebody had swallowed a Faberjé egg locket and they tried to get away with it by swallowing it
Starting point is 00:40:33 and I pooped it out oh they recovered the egg locket six days after the thief swallowed it six days how big was the locket it's got to be a small one he ingested the locket with 60 diamonds 15 blue sapphire
Starting point is 00:40:48 containing an 18-carat gold octopus. The locket valued it more than $19,000 was recovered naturally. The locket was being tracked by medical professionals, the Seattle Times of the story. So he's trying to swallow it to steal it? It looks like it's like this big, bro. Whoa, that's how you swallow that.
Starting point is 00:41:05 That big? Yeah. Like if you made your fist, it's kind of that big. Oh. You want to see a picture of it? Yes. I don't know how you swallow this thing.
Starting point is 00:41:18 Yeah, I didn't know what a Faberger egg was. So that's what's up. Oh. Look at this one. Can you show the screen, Eddie? Yeah. Did he swallow it with the chain or without the chain? That's huge.
Starting point is 00:41:32 Oh, dude, with the chain. It's still like hanging out of your mouth. You can pull back out of you guys. I didn't need it. Wow. Dang. Right? Like that's, that's almost.
Starting point is 00:41:46 I don't know. I can't tell. Look at the tag. The tag's like this big. Yeah, that's big. So it's like maybe not as thick as a fist, but it's probably like this size. Yeah. It looks like the size of an egg.
Starting point is 00:41:59 We can't really tell there's no reference. Like it could be tiny. No, the reference is that the sticker down there at the bottom. You've never seen a small little sticker tag? Yes. Snickers are small. Yeah, it's like that big. Stingers are like that big.
Starting point is 00:42:09 Yeah, so that probably could be like a ping pong ball. Guys, like the size of an egg. Okay, if it's actually... Maybe it keeps yelling the size of the egg. Yeah. What is that next to it, Mike? Like they put something there so we referenced I don't know what that is
Starting point is 00:42:26 I don't want to know Is that those paper towels Is that that? Amos are you so dirty Is that the actual egg that he swallowed Look at the paper towels Look dirty That's your poop
Starting point is 00:42:39 I think it's a sheet That's after it just came out Yes No it's not Oh look it's a thumb That's a thumb Look how small it is I told you
Starting point is 00:42:50 Guys it is It is what came out And look. And that's their thumb. It's not what came out because it's not gross or dirty. But they had to clean it first, is my point. Those are paper towels. And that's a rubber glove.
Starting point is 00:43:02 We don't know if that's when it came out. Is that a thumb? That's a thumb. So it's a size of a thumb nail. Oh, it's bigger than a thumbnail. No. That's the nail of the thumb right there. I feel like it goes all the way down to the hinge, at least, and it's up here.
Starting point is 00:43:16 That's dirty paper. The thumb is wet. But also the chain is on it. Yeah, he swallowed the chain. Had to swallow the chain. Are you sure that's a thumb? Yeah, it's a thumb. Because when he zoomed out, you can see the hand.
Starting point is 00:43:29 That's a tiny little egg. Dude, it's longer than this. It's like this big. Don't you think? Yeah. Like this big here. About that size, yeah. Do you think he also swallowed the chain?
Starting point is 00:43:41 He had to. So maybe it's the size of a little one of those eggs they sell at the grocery store that are. The little chocolate eggs? Quail eggs? Yeah, quail. Quail egg. That still hurts.
Starting point is 00:43:52 It does hurt. Regardless. Yeah, still hurts. All right. Let's see what else we got here. Can we have a time limit on how long we keep gross things on the screen? It's not gross. It's cleaned.
Starting point is 00:44:04 It's cleaned up. But look at the paper towel. It is weird, though. They put it on a paper towel. Dude, and if you really look at the paper towel, there's stuff on the paper towel. It doesn't like the paper towel. Like, it's closest to me. There's like brown spots.
Starting point is 00:44:17 I didn't notice that for first. Researchers are warning of cognitive risks associated with shortfall. videos. Researchers are studying whether heavy use of short form videos like TikTok, Instagram Rails, and YouTube shorts can harm the brain. A September review of 71 studies with 10,000, excuse me, 100,000 people found that heavy consumption was linked to worse attention spans, okay, impulse control, and increased symptoms of depression, anxiety, and stress.
Starting point is 00:44:42 One expert compared it to past concerns about video games, but said that the worries are justified. But video games don't make you kill people. But if you're already in a bad place and there's a lot of killing, it could probably like gently continue you on the way you're already going. Yeah. I don't think video games themselves or music for that matter actually change people's opinions and makes them kill. I think if you're in a dark place though, it can not slow you down.
Starting point is 00:45:15 What do you think about that? Yeah. No, I mean, I think there's some truth to that for sure. I think a lot of things, like, for me, alcohol doesn't impact me in a way that someone else might. Or Bobby, you're like you with dairy, as simple as that. It doesn't have to be anything scary or illegal. I can eat ice cream, no problem. You cannot. Everybody's.
Starting point is 00:45:35 What the heck? Rood? That's not rude. I need a cheeseburger. You can't, dude. Anything I can do. Anything you can do, I can do better. Well, it just takes the mental part out of it or being anything harmful or bad.
Starting point is 00:45:48 It's like dairy is an innocent thing and your body chemically reacts to it so differently than mine. And that's the same thing with a video game. It was just like so many of the examples sometimes are fear-based. Ice cream is just innocent. And look how you respond totally different to it. I saw a story that 70% of people in America have ice cream in their freezer all the time. I thought that was interesting. Who has ice cream in their freezer right now?
Starting point is 00:46:14 Us. Lots of ice cream. Yeah, dairy-free. I ordered three dairy-free Chocolate chip cookies from this place And they sent me three tubs of chocolate chip cookie Ice cream Oh is it
Starting point is 00:46:24 That's a bit's dairy-free Yeah But I don't want cookies Did you recheck your order? Did you click on the right? I'm positive order because I went and looked And Caitlin was like You earned a lot of ice cream
Starting point is 00:46:33 Because like three huge tubs in the freezer And I'm like, order three cookies Not three tubs of You should get your money back From DoorDash or if you used DoorDash Did you? No, used UberEat, same thing Because I don't think that impacts the restaurant
Starting point is 00:46:47 because I don't ever want to impact the store, but like, I always, they're quick to give you the money back and they'll give it to you and DoorDash money too. They'll be like, do you just want to refund your account? I did it last night. Got 15 bucks back. What scammed you pull? It's not a scam. The order was wrong. Stevens in one of this particular bowl, so I got it. And when he opened it up, he was like, and I even did the pickup. But I mean, I didn't look at it before I left the restaurant. And when we got home, he opened it up. And he was like, oh, mom, this is not my typical order. So I just took. took a picture of it quick. Two seconds later, DoorDash is like,
Starting point is 00:47:20 here's your money back. I was like, thank you. So how does this work? Like, who orders the food? Do you order through Uber Eats or DoorDash and then it goes through them? Or do you order from the restaurant and then the driver just picks it up? I don't know how it works. If you order from DoorDash, they have a relationship with the restaurant.
Starting point is 00:47:37 The restaurant has a DoorDash system where they receive orders. Okay, so you order through the app. Yes. And that's why they refund your money. They refund me the money, not. But it happens so fast. I'm like, did you all? I mean, I uploaded a picture.
Starting point is 00:47:47 They probably don't even check. It's just like somebody's requesting, give it to them. And if you do it like three or four times, they probably like flag your account. I've done it three or four times. I guess. But mine's always legit. I always send photo proof because I'm like, believe me, I'm not making this up. Where I get irritated at those companies because I use, because sometimes they'll go courier. Couriers are all busy. So they have to use a different one. So I use like three different companies to bring food. if I write don't ring the doorbell and they ring the doorbell, I want to tip them less. I don't. You should. Okay. You should. But I want to tip them less.
Starting point is 00:48:24 Well, because sometimes it'll be 2 o'clock in the morning and I can't sleep. And I'm like, well, I'm up. I might as well work a little bit or do something. So I'll order something and they'll bring it. And they'll freaking hit the doorbell. And I wrote, do not ring the doorbell. You would think simply just because it's 2 in the morning.
Starting point is 00:48:38 I would not ring the doorbell. No, guys. It could be a party. They don't always ring the doorbell. I would say most times. they don't, but I'm concerned every time. They ring the freaking doorbell. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:48:47 And then you know what that means? Dogs go crazy. Yeah. Wakes up pregnant wife. It's a whole situation. Yeah, that's not good. Would you tip them less? Or would you fear retaliation?
Starting point is 00:48:57 Well, first of all, I've never ordered anything at 2 in the morning. Never, like a pizza? No. After a night of, like, drinking? No, I'm like, wow, they work that late. There's not a cutoff? No, 24 hours, because it keeps all the restaurants or all the places. That are 24 hours up, and now I get it.
Starting point is 00:49:12 Yeah, that's cool. No, I'm just going to assume they didn't see my note. I'm not going to penalize them. Look at the note. That's what the notes there's for. That's what the notes there for. Yeah. And yeah, you just woke everybody up.
Starting point is 00:49:26 Yeah, that's weird. Do you tell them when you see or do you not see them? I don't see them for the most part. A couple of times, maybe twice. I've seen them reach toward, like push the button. And I look at them, I put my hands up like, what are you doing? Do they still ring it? At 2 in the morning, someone's at your door and you're trying to pick a 5-in-law.
Starting point is 00:49:46 So thank you. You're like road raging, but in your house. I said, don't push the button. I wrote on the note. Don't push the doorbell. And they'll ring it and I'll be right by the door, by the window. And I'll put my arms up like, no, what are you doing? I'm picturing them laughing and hit it again just to make you mad.
Starting point is 00:50:06 I'm beside myself when it happens. You know how you're saying you use multiple abs like, okay. a courier is not available. It tells me a courier's not available. Yeah. Well, I deal shop. Oh, yeah? So, like, at one restaurant in particular, sometimes Uber eats, we'll have a buy one, get one free of this hamburger.
Starting point is 00:50:25 Didn't we do the buy one, get one free? And Amy, she felt like she messed up. Remember that whole thing? Oh, yeah, Bogo. Yeah. That's the, I was confused by that at the store. Like, you don't have to actually buy two at the store to get the deal. If you just buy one, you'll pay half the price.
Starting point is 00:50:41 I learned that. Yes. But Uber eats always, they'll do this burger. Buy one getting free where DoorDash may not have that. So it's like Uber is running the deal, but I'll shop around because sometimes you can get cool things like that. And my son eats so much now. Then I'm like, heck yeah, he can get two burgers for the price of one. There you go. But I think in that case, you do have to buy both burgers, Bobby. Okay. Thank you. We're done. Thank you guys. Hope you guys have a great day. We will see you tomorrow. Bye everybody. and tiny beautiful things. I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast called Mind Over Mountain.
