Starting point is 00:00:00 This is an I-Heart podcast. Guaranteed Human. Readers, Katie's finalists, publicists. We have an incredible new episode this week for you guys. We have our girl Hillary Duff in here, and we can't wait for you to hear this episode. They put on Lizzie McGuire at 2 a.m. Video on Demand.
Starting point is 00:00:16 This guy's bobble-a-m. 2 a.m. Whatever time it is, Lizzie McGuire. And I'm like... A wild batch you were with. It was like a first, like, closet moment from me where I was like... You're like, I don't feel like she's hot, like the rest of that.
Starting point is 00:00:26 No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful. But I'm appreciating her in a different... way than these boys are. I'm not like, but listen to Los Coleristas on the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or whatever you get your podcast. Hi, I'm Iris Palmer, host of the Against All Odds Podcast. Every week, I'm sitting down with exceptional people who have broken barriers,
Starting point is 00:00:50 even when the odds were stacked against them. Like chef Victor Villa of Vias Tacos. You know the taquero from the Bad Bunny halftime show? It was great. It was a big moment. It was special. And I felt like I was really representing my family, you know, my brand, my city.
Starting point is 00:01:05 I was representing all taqueros, not only of like, you know, the U.S., but of Mexico and beyond. All the taqueros of the world. Listen to Against All Odds on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast, or wherever you get your podcast. Most people out here think that taking care of one another is important.
Starting point is 00:01:23 And most people would step up for a neighbor going through a tough time. Most people around here help out friends and family when they need it. But the funny thing is, most of us won't look for help when we need it. Talk to someone if you're struggling with mental health because most people out here really care. Find more information at loveyourmindtay.org. That's loveyourmindtay.org. Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and the Ad Council. I'm Kristen Davis, host of the podcast, Are You a Charlotte? In 1998, my life was forever changed when I took on the role of Charlotte York on a new show called Sex and the City. Now I get to sit down with
Starting point is 00:02:03 some of my favorite people and relive all of the incredible moments this show brought us on and off the screen. Listen to Are You a Charlotte on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Come up in the morning. And then you turn the radio on and the dial just keeps on turn. Kids on turn. Then you here, Eddie and me lunchbox. Morgan, two.
Starting point is 00:02:33 Steve Red, every trying to put you through. Black, D's writing this week. Next bit, and Bobby's on the mic so you know what this is. This is the Bobby Bond store. How actors got famous. While studying at the University of Texas, Matthew McConaughey met casting director Don Phillips in a bar. They were just in a bar.
Starting point is 00:02:59 Phillips, who I guess was drinking with McConaughey. And I never had drinking bond, but is there a time when you just randomly drink with somebody and you bond with them? A bar? That's what you do. Just like randomly, all of a sudden, your BFFs. Airport bar, hotel bar. What are you doing in town?
Starting point is 00:03:15 Oh, I'm in L.A. right? Oh, really? Yeah, what do you do? That's how it goes. So, Don Phillips was the casting director who introduced him to his friend, Richard Linklatter, who then was like, hey, like, your look is very interesting. Like, good looking. Put him as Wooderson and dazed and confused.
Starting point is 00:03:32 All right. That's a switch roll. So I need a drink at bars. I know. Yeah. I mean, maybe, dude. Chris Pratt. Chris Pratt was discovered
Starting point is 00:03:41 while waiting tables at Bubba Gump shrimp. Stop! Yes! That's awesome. How does he get discovered being a waiter? So he was living in Hawaii.
Starting point is 00:03:49 I think he was living in Hawaii in his van. Like, that's his story. He was living in a van in Hawaii waiting tables. Actress and director, Ray Don Chung, cast him in her short film. He was, like, waiting on her table. And she was like, you look like you'd be good for this?
Starting point is 00:04:04 And I remember she was like, I've heard the story. on TikTok. If I'm correct, she said, hey, I have something for you. She calls him like, whatever, months later. And he's like, really good. I don't have the money, like, to fly. He's broke. And she was like, I'll fly you out. All good. And then he ended up auditioning and getting the jobs. Wow. I wonder if he was just an awesome server, like with a good person out. Had to be. But does it come up like I've been trying to act or I'm at? I don't think he was trying to act. Oh. I think he was just like partying, like living in a van and like surfing and
Starting point is 00:04:33 living that lifestyle. What in the world? I think it doesn't hurt that he was really good looking and probably had a great personality and someone who's looking for talent probably goes this is something raw that I think I can use and then you never hear from them I've been raw and unused forever and they're like we're gonna call you, they never do.
Starting point is 00:04:50 But wasn't he like bigger more out of shape like when he first started and then he got ripped right? Fluctuated. Okay. He's fluctuated. Sabrina Carpenter. She was posting song covers on YouTube at age nine
Starting point is 00:05:01 when she was 11. Her cover of you raise me up went so viral in China that she was invited to the Hunan TV festival. Whoa. She got viral in China. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:05:15 This is crazy. And then one more Henry Cavill who was Superman, but now also, he's like big and some fantasy show on Netflix, right? The Witcher, he used to be on it,
Starting point is 00:05:25 but he left it. But he got massive from them. Henry Cavill was a 16-year-old student at a boarding school in England when Russell Crowe visited the school for a film shoot.
Starting point is 00:05:35 They were shot. shooting at the school. Cavill said, hey, I'm 16. I would like to act. And so Russell Crow remembered him, sent him a gift, wrote him a note of encouragement, and then followed, yeah, that's kind of counter the stories we hear about Russell Crow. Cavill went on to land rolls, the tutors, and man of steel. Anyway, that's pretty cool. So we need to start waiting tables. And just telling people like, yeah, I want to act. I'm drinking at bars. I don't know that a lot of these were, I want to act. I think one of them was. Just the last one. The other one's just getting drunk and waiting tables
Starting point is 00:06:05 Maybe do both Get drunk and wait a table And like Charlize Theron just arguing To the bank No just be hot Yeah get mad Yeah Amy recommended a fantasy
Starting point is 00:06:15 A romantic fantasy book for us to read And we're all like no way So because we were all like no way We're going to put it on the wheel And someone's going to have to read it It's over 500 pages I'm going to spend this wheel Someone
Starting point is 00:06:27 Will have to read the book We'll spend the wheel next I'm going to spend this wheel next I'm going to spend this Will and the loser has to read this 500-page book called Fourth Wing. Not that it's a bad book, but Amy was pitching it like it's Hunger Games, which I read in love, but she was like, but they make love to dragons. I don't know if that's exactly what's happening.
Starting point is 00:06:47 It's a romanticcy. Ah, I don't like that. It's a romance and fantasy. So it's 500 pages. Loser has to read it. You have a month to read it. I've never read 500 pages of anything. In a month.
Starting point is 00:07:00 But that's not a reason for you never to read 500 pages or something. I'm dyslexic, man. Read it backward. Okay, Eddie, so am I. Okay, so what I'll do is I'll spin. Oh, gosh. By the way, let me raise you the idea of the book here. Great.
Starting point is 00:07:12 Fourth Wing is a high fantasy novel by Rebecca Yarrow's about a young woman named Violet, who was forced to attend a war college to become a dragon writer. Oh, my gosh. I don't mind this part. This part to me, I'm so stupid. I'm still in. I like Game of Thrones. I'm still in.
Starting point is 00:07:25 Violet is smaller and more fragile than the other cadets, and dragons are unlikely to bond with her. She must undergo intense training and trials to survive and become one of the strongest cadets. Where's the love part? Because I hear there's lots of love making. And that's the part I don't like. We don't know yet. We're going to have to read to find out.
Starting point is 00:07:41 Okay, so, we can go one and two ways. We can spend it once and just a loser does it, or we can spin it and we eliminate the person. I don't know what I want. Yeah, I don't know either. I don't know what I want. Depends where it lands. On the will, Mike D.
Starting point is 00:07:53 Morgan Lunchbox. Eddie, Amy, me, Abby, Scoobie Steve. Is there anybody you want to have to read it? Yeah, Eddie. Why me? Why, Eddie? grow. I want you to grow as a person.
Starting point is 00:08:05 You're like, I've never read more than 10 pages. Well, buddy, I think it's time to buck up. It'd be better for me. Yeah. Yes. Let's do the last. So we want to mark somebody off. Everybody go to that?
Starting point is 00:08:14 Okay. I'll spin, and if it lands on them, we'll change their name out to spin again. Love it. Okay. And then we'll play a song and do it again right after. Okay. Okay, here we go. Test spin.
Starting point is 00:08:24 No, test spin. No test spin. No test spin. I don't want to ruin my luck. All right, 500 pages, a romanticcy. Who has to read it? Remember, if it lands on you, you're in the free. Okay, come on me.
Starting point is 00:08:36 Let's spin that week. Scuba. Of course. Yes. Gosh. Thank God, because I haven't even read your other book you gave me yet, the four agreements. That's eight pages. I know, so it's a good thing I'm not reading that book.
Starting point is 00:08:52 Okay, so we'll mark scuba off. You want to spend one more, though, now before you're going to get me off out of there. Okay, what you need to be thinking of, Bobby, is what's the punishment if someone doesn't read it? Because these guys, they did bail on your four agreements. You don't know that. That was a recommended, and I did say they weren't four agreements. This is going to be forced, so if you don't have it complete, then... Relax, we'll read it.
Starting point is 00:09:11 We'll come up with the punishment. It has to do with a dragon and you... Oh, and romance. We're going to watch you make love to a dragon. A Komodo dragon, though, one of our choosing. Okay, we're going to spend one more. Come on. If it lands on spin again and we will not spin again, we'll play a song and come back.
Starting point is 00:09:27 Okay. Let's spin out we... That's me. That's me. No, it's not. Morgan. Play nice to me. Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:09:40 Okay. Not good. We're going to put spin again on that spot. We're getting in danger territory. We're going to play. Going to love you from Parmali. We'll come back after this and spin at least a couple more times. Okay?
Starting point is 00:09:52 We're going to spin the wheel. If it lands on you, you're in the clear. You don't have to read the book. Eddie, Amy, Bobby, Abby, Ramundo, Mike D. Lunchbox all still on it. Oh, man. We're only going to do probably two spin, two or three spins total. If it lands on spin again, that counts is one of the spins, okay?
Starting point is 00:10:08 Okay. Can you take it off my name? Here we go. Let's spin that wheel. Come on, come on, baby. Mike D. Hey, golly. What is happening?
Starting point is 00:10:20 Mike D is now in the clear. We are. The world hates me. Mike D is off. On the wheel now. Ray, Abby, me, Amy, Eddie, and Lunchbox. Oh, my gosh. This shit down the other way.
Starting point is 00:10:32 I know. We'd be done and Scoot would be reading it. Let's spin that wheel. Raymondo, you're out. All the B-listers are going. All the V-listers. Oh, I'm using the wrong marker. He's a permanent marker.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Oh, Jesus, Sharfey. Hey, what do I know? The wheel's up next to me. Hold on. Will forever have a spin again? No. I've totally permanent markered one of the spin spots. Okay. I'm sure alcohol or something.
Starting point is 00:11:04 We'll get it off. Okay, so here's what we're going to do. We're going to come back. We're going to fix the wheel, though, and remove the spin again and put us all in multiple places for later. Oh. Get rid of me? Except that one.
Starting point is 00:11:15 That's always a spin for the history of the world. Okay. So, Abby. Me, Amy, Eddie, and Lunchbox, still on the board. This is so dumb. Gonna have to read this book. Okay, back. I hate walking red carpets because nobody cares about me.
Starting point is 00:11:29 And if it's a red carpet and it's the CMAs or the Grammys, which I've had to do, I know that I'm in the bottom 5%. So when I'm up and someone's like, how's it going? I can always feel them looking over my shoulder at more famous people. So I hate doing them. And when I saw this happen to Babyface last night, and Babyface is, wildly successful. Like back in the day, day,
Starting point is 00:11:53 he had like, when can I see you again? Like R&B singer like crazy has won 12 Grammys and I think they're working for the AP and they're talking on the red carpeted baby face. They may not even know baby face, not even the point of it. It's just they're talking to a human
Starting point is 00:12:09 and they see Chapel Rhone behind them. Massive star. I want to play the clip because baby face is there looking good, he's got a black jacket on. I mean, here he is talking on the red carpet like he should, and this happens. Can you talk about just this new trend that we're seeing in R&B, where we're seeing more of a fusion? We're seeing people blend the genre with pop, blend the genre with hip-hop and rock as well.
Starting point is 00:12:35 It's interesting. Chappell! You guys want to do that? Go through that. Hello? How's it going, Chapplo? Oh, my gosh. It's terrible.
Starting point is 00:12:50 He's wildly successful and that happened to him. I feel so bad for him. And I saw people posting, I can't believe you would do this to a 12-time Grammy Award winner. And I'm thinking, I can't believe you would do this to anybody. Like, this is just a human thing. And I get it.
Starting point is 00:13:03 This is what Hollywood sucks. And I've spent my fair share of time in Los Angeles. It sucks because that's the entire culture out there. It's like grab the biggest, shiniest thing as quick as possible. And then when it's not shiny anymore, kick it to the curb and go to the next shiny thing. But that sucks.
Starting point is 00:13:18 And also, I've been there. And so I've never felt more felt. But I felt terrible for Babyface. He said like three words. Well, thank you for asking. What? Are you ready to talk to her? I mean, go ahead.
Starting point is 00:13:31 Oh, they should not get to do red carpets anymore. Yeah, probably not. They're not even a big, it wasn't even like a big stop. Meaning there were like seven or eight massive television stops or massive social media stuff. stops. And that's the AP. I don't even know what the AP is anymore. It's a random nerve news source. Poor baby face. Oh my gosh. So saw that made me cringe. Then I saw the most dangerous expired condiments in your fridge. And I wanted to read this because if these are expired in your fridge and you eat them, you could die on the inside. Okay. Maybe not all the way outside. Oh boy.
Starting point is 00:14:12 But take it from somebody. I can't eat cheese anymore at all. It sucks. I thought it was just when I tore my stomach lining. but I think I'm now done. That's terror. This is worse than being like disrespected at CMAs. I know because like you can't have queso. No cheese, no queso, no milk. No, yeah. I mean, I have, I can't.
Starting point is 00:14:30 I have. It has an end of well for me. I felt like baby face. I was quickly out of there. Number five, soy sauce. If you eat expired soy sauce, apparently like the vinegars in that, if they are, now they're not saying you have to go by the date. So that's a whole different discussion of, are the dates legitimate to when it's expired?
Starting point is 00:14:51 They're saying if it is expired and if it is bad, that will make you extremely sick. Number four, mustard. It lasts longer again because the vinegar is in it. But once that vinegar and the mixture of vinegar with the other chemicals goes bad, it can make you very sick. That is never an issue in my house is I will eat mustard on my fingertip. My wife, this would never be an issue. she does not eat condiments. She has never tasted mustard.
Starting point is 00:15:18 She has never tasted ketchup. She has never tasted mayonnaise. That's crazy. She doesn't do any of that. Last night, well, I messed up and I was eating a burger. And I couldn't order it with no cheese. So the cheese came out, tried to scrape it all off. And I love cheese.
Starting point is 00:15:33 It got me a little bit, right? Really? Yeah. You weren't able to get it all off? No, I thought I was able to get most of it off, but even the little bit got me. And so last night, because I'd put ketchup on the plate, I was eating with the fries. and she went in and did all the dishes after we were done.
Starting point is 00:15:48 She was like, I left your dish. I'm not touching the ketchup. It makes her want to vomit. Even a plate with it on it, she won't touch. That's so weird. I love ketchup. And number three, ketchup and barbecue sauce. If the color changes, it's not about to date.
Starting point is 00:16:01 Whoa. Because sometimes, and most times you can eat beyond the date. If the color starts to change, get rid of it. Number two, salad dressing, creamy kinds that have eggs or cheeses. because again, we may not even know they have eggs as one of the ingredients. But you want to talk about some salmonella in your salad dressing? That can happen.
Starting point is 00:16:22 Number one's mayonnaise. And again, they say it's egg based. Yeah. So once it's been open, there's the date on it. The USDA says it's even longer than the date, depending on what it is. But they say if mayonnaise starts to change colors or doesn't smell right and you eat it, it's a ticking time bomb. Now again, you're not going to die, but you may have.
Starting point is 00:16:43 have happened to you what has happened to me eating cheese. It's so unfortunate. There's a lot of unfortunate things on earth and in this world and in America, but me not being able to eat cheese is up there at the top. That's bad. That's the worst. Yeah, it's the worst. The soy sauce is what's standing out to me the most.
Starting point is 00:17:00 I honestly didn't really know that expired, so I'm going to have to go check some things. And the barbecue sauce. I mean, I've had barbecue sauce in there for years. Soy sauce, though, I don't eat soy sauce at home. The only time I will ever touch soy sauce is, I don't even really like sushi that much. It's fine. I'll do some at a sushi restaurant Just to like help it go down
Starting point is 00:17:17 But other than that soy sauce doesn't really Factor in at our house Oh okay yeah no my daughter likes it We do like a rice and ground beef or something And she'll just like to sprinkle that on top My kids love them some sodium Like a little salt Hey I don't mind some sodium
Starting point is 00:17:31 But yeah yeah yeah Readers Katie's finalists We have an incredible new episode this week for you guys We have our girl Hillary Duff in here And we can't wait for you to hear this episode. They put on Lizzie McGuire at 2 a.m. Video on demand.
Starting point is 00:17:45 This guy's... 2 a.m. Whatever time it is. Lizzie McGuire. And I'm like... A wild batch you were with. It was like a first like closet moment from me where I was like... You're like, I don't feel like she's hot.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Like the rest of that. No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful. But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are. I'm not like... Oh, my friend Tiffany, she just sexed me and she was like hey I'm cracking up about the book it's great but the first book has some
Starting point is 00:20:46 serious steamy sex scenes so heads up that's why we don't want to read the book it's just weird I just replied ha ha I hope one of the guys has to end up reading it so we've been spinning the will and the eventual loser has to read this 500 page book we got it to the news next so we'll continue with the will spinning tomorrow there are only a few of us left it's mostly the us in the room So we have to read this book called, what's it called Dragon's, Dragon Sex? It's called Fourth Wing. Fourth Wing. And it's, I'm sure it's a great.
Starting point is 00:21:15 Humans and Dragons and I don't know what they do with each other. Exactly. Okay, so we'll come back and we'll do the news. Also, don't forget tomorrow night 9-8 Central, my special on CMT. I would love it if you're able to check that out. It's free. Someone was like, do you have to pay for it? And if you have CMT on your cable package or whatever it is, you can watch it.
Starting point is 00:21:35 9, 8 Central on CMT. We will in the news talk about a lot of the airplane stuff. Not the helicopter plane crash. There was another plane crash over the weekend. And then there was another flight that had to be evacuated with slides because of an engine issue. We'll talk about that and more next. Six people, including the pilot and co-pilot, died in a medical jet crash in northeast Philadelphia. You may have saw the clips on social media.
Starting point is 00:22:02 The jet bound for Tijuana, Mexico crash shortly after takeoff. the NTSBs investigate in the accident, it looked like a missile went into a building. And then when you see it from like people's door cams, and some people would have like those cameras in their cars, that's what it looked like, because that's an airplane going that fast into the top of that building. Do you see it at all?
Starting point is 00:22:25 Yeah, I saw some. And I, the, from takeoff to when it's just plummeted, like you said, like straight down, I think it was like less than a minute. If you were just to see the flash, Again, that plane was going down so fast. It looked like somebody shot a missile down. Yeah, it shot straight down. So that happened.
Starting point is 00:22:41 And that was terrible. And again, it's right after that flight hit the helicopter. There was another one, United Airlines flight, which did not crash, but had to be evacuated because of an engine issue. And then a lot of people had their, everybody has phones up, recording stuff all the time. But they were going Houston to New York. And no injuries were reported, but they had to like, first, all the stuff came out, the slide and stuff. but they got everybody off, smoke can be seen coming out of the plane. The engine blew right as the wheels were leaving the ground.
Starting point is 00:23:15 The plane lost control on the runway for a few seconds, but the pilot was able to get the plane back under control. Only one slide was working for the plane to evacuate, ABC News. Does all the plane stuff make you not want to fly? I mean, I don't have any flights coming up, but I've thought about if I were to get offered to go somewhere have to do something for work right now, I would definitely board with like, you know, extra anxiety.
Starting point is 00:23:42 Anxiety is a good word. I would encourage people to think of it like this. That helicopter and the American Airlines plane, right, that is such an anomaly. Like that was a terrible, extremely tragic thing that happened. The other things have nothing to do with that. The other was a tiny private plane. It wasn't a commercial plane. We don't know what happened. there were six people on.
Starting point is 00:24:06 The other was, I mean, there's probably engine stuff that happens a lot like this, but because it's in the news, it gets elevated to the top of the news. So it seems like there's even more of it happening. And when you look at the amount of flights that are getting up, taking off landing, the percentage is so fewer than car crashes and deaths than car crashes. Like by a tremendous amount. And if they reported every car crash and death as a headline, people would go, auto on drive.
Starting point is 00:24:36 But I encourage people to not let fear take hold of them. It has been a crazy year. And here we are February 3rd. The fires, the plane crashes. I'm sure there's like two out of three other things. Well, I mean, it all started at New Orleans. It started New Orleans. That's right.
Starting point is 00:24:53 That's terrible. And we've forgotten about even terrible ones because other things take the news precedents. Other school shootings. Yes. Terrible. It's been a bad year. Now we're fighting with Canada. I love Canada.
Starting point is 00:25:06 The year just started too. Canada, I love you. I just want to say, I love Canada. And I want to give everybody in Canada a big old hug and go Canada. But go America and go Canada both. That's what I want to say. It's struggle. I don't believe this story and I brought it up because we're in the midst of making somebody read this romance book.
Starting point is 00:25:29 It's like a romance fantasy book. Men are more into reading romance than women, according to new research. I don't know who they research. anybody in this room. No, not us. Romance is, reading descriptions of people doing it's weird.
Starting point is 00:25:43 I read 50 Shades of Gray because I thought it was hilarious and even then I was like, this is the weirdest thing you ever read. I read it as a bit. I read Twilight on purpose, but I read 50 Shades of Gray as a bit. I don't know if y'all are guys
Starting point is 00:25:54 and y'all know that's what y'all need to say so you're like, yeah, no, I never read that or I'll know. I never feel the need to say anything. All the stuff, I carry a purse. What do you want from me? Right. I would happily admit.
Starting point is 00:26:03 If you were into romance novels, Absolutely. It'd be a funnier bit if I was. I'd come in and tell you about it. So nobody here. These, I don't want to. You don't want it. They would lie. I've never read one, so I don't know yet. They would lie, but I will not. Romance is one of the most popular book genres, but new research suggests that the idea that's mostly women is wrong. Here's the thing. And I want to be completely honest with everybody
Starting point is 00:26:26 listening. Men want to see visuals. Women can do words. Am I being descriptive enough? Sure. So where are the men that are saying yes to that? Men won't pop up books of this. If there's something, they wanted to pop up and go be, you know how those kids' books have the thing come up? Yes. Yes. That's what men want. I know. But I wonder if we have any man that will admit to this anywhere. Probably. I don't know any man. They're saying more. Men are more into reading. That's not true. That would be 51%. There's no chance. First time Powerball player wins $150,000 in North Carolina. By the way, I scratched. again and I did hit for $150 on a $50 ticket. Still haven't hit my goal, but I did scratch and hit 150. I have a stack of tickets here. I'm just going through them as I can. Hurtle Mills resident Sidney Davis told North Carolina Education Lottery
Starting point is 00:27:20 official she went to the store and bought her first ever powerball ticket. The ticket matched four white balls and the red power ball in Wednesday's drawing, earning her the $50,000 prize but was triple thanks to choosing the power play option of 3X. So in her first time ever buying a ticket, she had for $150,000. It's awesome. Congratulations to you. Groundhog Day. Puxatani Phil makes his prediction of six more weeks, WFTV. Don't you know that like 50 years ago people actually believe this was real? Oh, I still feel like there has got to be It has nothing to do with anything Nothing to do with anything
Starting point is 00:27:52 Nothing to do with anything? Nothing, it's a shadow It's the groundhog sees its shadow So it's just dependent on If the sun is out that day But you know 50, 60, 70 years ago People were gathered around going Oh, I sure hope it gets warmer for the crops
Starting point is 00:28:04 It has nothing to do with anything Oh, I see I read that and I was like Oh dang six more weeks It's fun It's like people's horoscopes Astrology. It's the fakeest crap ever There is no There's absolutely no basis
Starting point is 00:28:16 In fact that astrology exists And if you, or means anything. But if you believe it, Goodfrey, that's fun. But if you, like, fight for it, you can never hold public office. But don't you think that there is something to being born at a certain time of your, yeah, I thought you did because of like when you're born at this month, you may act this way. That's different than where the stars are. If you're born in a month based on when school starts, so you're like the oldest kid,
Starting point is 00:28:42 that's different than being born when a star is a certain amount of distance from another son or a star. Yeah, I know. different. Yeah, that's literal. You're an older kid, so you're stronger than the other kids in sports and probably a little smarter because you've been alive longer, especially when you're three, four, five years old. If you believe that Mercury's in retrograde and that's affecting your mood, it does shifting energy. It does not. Yes, it does. You're out of your mind. There is absolutely no factual basis of any of that ever. Don't take that away from me from when I am acting crazy and I get to on Mercury retrograde.
Starting point is 00:29:17 It's fun and I'm okay with it and you don't really believe it. There is a little tilt. There's something shifted. There's a pull of the pool. I don't even know what you're saying. You don't even know what you're saying. Yes. Shift, tilt, pull.
Starting point is 00:29:30 There's things happening. There's absolutely nothing scientific or factual about astrology. Yes. You don't think there's anything happening when Mercury is in retrograde. No. I think Mercury and retrograde is what people like to say when they've screwed up and they're having a bad day. or they're just not feeling good. No, there's like technical difficulties.
Starting point is 00:29:46 Like, it's not even just humans. Like, techy things mess up because of the pulls and the tilts. Sure. You're saying techy things and pulls and tilts. No chance. This is very official. No chance. An adult gap year is in the news.
Starting point is 00:30:00 And I'm telling you right now, nobody I ever grew up with had the money to do this. And the fact that they're acting like, this is a growing trend. There's a growing trend among adults to take a mid-care break, also known as an adult gap year. Who can afford this? It can mean anything from a three to six month long sabbatical or break. If you have a job or you can take a sabbatical, that's a rich person job anyway, or a job in education, which may not be rich. You got summers off. But you're also, no, no, no, sabbatical is different than summers off.
Starting point is 00:30:34 If you take a sabbatical, you have another job you're doing while you're doing that. Oh. It's like I'm going to take a sabbatical and write a book if you're in, you know, advanced education. Oh, I see. It allows employees to take a mental break, allows people to come back refreshed and reinvigorated. These people don't have to pay the bills. Or maybe they've done a good job saving
Starting point is 00:30:53 and then they live frugally on their sabbatical. I'm going to bet nobody in middle class America goes, You know what, hon? I think you're going to take a sabbatical. And I'm going to tell you what Hun's going to say. You're out of your mind. Get back to work. Yes.
Starting point is 00:31:07 We have a car payment. You're out of your mind. Yeah, true, true. And finally, if you need a better night's sleep, switch to linen sheets. Researchers report the people who sleep on linen sheets fall asleep faster and wake up in better moods, especially when Mercury's in retrograde. Wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:24 Send me a link. But no, true. This is what's said in the little red book of men's confidential secrets from Rodel Press. Researchers report the people who sleep on linen sheets fall asleep faster, wake up better moods. Researchers believe it may be because linen sheets feel different against the skin and dispersed body heat better. than other fabrics. So in summer is when you wear
Starting point is 00:31:44 linen shirts, I'm told. Is that because it's not as hot? I'm assuming like it's a fabric. The way your body can breathe. Yeah. I thought we were supposed to sleep on bamboo sheets or something. Okay, you're doing astrology. You're sleeping on bamboo in the jungle and his sun?
Starting point is 00:32:01 What's happening here? All right, there you go. That's the news. Those were Bobby's Big. Stories. Let's go talk to Carla, who is living in Kansas. Carla, what's going on? Hey, Bobby. How excited are you that your team Arkansas beat 12th, Kentucky,
Starting point is 00:32:21 with John Calapari coming back to Kentucky to play? Yeah, that was fun. It's funny to hear it. So I would imagine you're not an Arkansas fan. Are you a Kansas fan, Carla? Sorry, I am a Kansas Jayhawks fan, but I saw that game, and I was like, oh, Bobby Bones is going nuts. I was very happy.
Starting point is 00:32:39 I think it's funny, and I appreciate the passion. I was talking to one of my other friends who was trying to do the hog call and he was like whoop and i was like that's more a and m he was like sue up it's like no no and we don't we just appreciate people even trying out of nowhere that makes us feel good makes us feel like we belong um so when carl like came out with to sue that's more like if you're trying to call a hog for real maybe yeah and that because my uncle had a bunch of pigs i had to slop a bunch of pigs growing up and it's disgusting because we have to go to all the restaurants and collect all their tossed away food, throw away food, and slop all his pigs.
Starting point is 00:33:17 And really, the suey is just a really high-pitched squill. It doesn't even matter. It's almost like if you're yelling at a dog. This is like a real pig. And you're like, trying to make any high-pitched noise to get them to come. So with the pigs, we try to get the pigs to come to the slop, we just go, ooh-hoo-hoo-he-h-h-h. Like that.
Starting point is 00:33:33 It's kind of what that's rooted in. So she probably could have called a real pig. But the real call is, woo pig, suey, like that. Okay. Now that that's all clear. Yeah, it's pretty fun. So our team, not very good this year. We haven't won many games.
Starting point is 00:33:49 At least not in conference play. We were like one in six in conference play. And we go into Kentucky. They're a nine-point favorite. It's almost impossible to win it Rupp. And they booed John Caliperi because he was their coach for, I think, 18 years. They wanted him to leave. But he left and came to us.
Starting point is 00:34:08 And they booed him hard. He won a national championship for them. Yeah, that's weird. Yeah, and they wanted him to go. And so he was like, all right, I'll go. And so he came, and we beat the crap out of them. And it was pretty awesome. Now, the season's been pretty terrible,
Starting point is 00:34:22 but that was our one shining moment, hopefully. Oh, well, I'm glad we had it. It probably is our one shining moment for the season. But yeah, it was great. And I trolled Kentucky fans all weekend on Twitter because they do nothing but come at me all the time. I'm over here doing nothing. They come at me.
Starting point is 00:34:37 But it was a pretty good one, Carla. It was one of the highlights of the weekend. So I appreciate that call. I bet. You watched it? You watched it and watched that game? It started at like 8 o'clock. It was a late game, yes.
Starting point is 00:34:48 It was a late one. I watched that in the entire Royal Rumble. What's that? I watched five hours of Royal Rumble. Oh, yeah. You watched five hours of Royal Rumble? And it was on at the same time as the basketball game. Well, the Royal Rumble started at 5 p.m.
Starting point is 00:35:02 The basketball game was at 8. And it started with the Women's Royal Rumble. And then I watched the tag team. championship. It was a two out of three fall match. And then I watched the Cody Rhodes and K.O. match. And then I watched the men's Royal Rumble. And all that together was about five hours. And it was
Starting point is 00:35:20 free. It was on Paramount. Wow. It was they hardly ever do pay-per-views for free. It was a massive one. A Paramount. No, no, no. It was on Peacock. I was on Peacock. It was awesome. Well, free if you have Peacock. Yeah, but we always say that. Like it's free. Like it's included. It's not a pay-per-view, which it has
Starting point is 00:35:36 always been in the past, or for the most part, where you have to pay, like, 40 bucks to watch summer slant. No, no, no, no, just a paper view in general. It would be like you had to pay and then you have to go to some random channel and watch it there. Yeah. So that was it. Watch a bunch of wrestling.
Starting point is 00:35:52 Well, I'm happy for you. That's Saturday night. Yeah, you got a little Royal Rumble session in and you won basketball. Double whammy. I feel like you're talking down to me with the word session. No. Mike, do you watch World Rumble? I just saw clips on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:36:06 I saw the I show Speed guy get. He got crushed. Harder than I think even he thought So every once in a while in the Roll Rumble They'll throw people in who shouldn't even be wrestling Because you're always wondering who's next And there are 30 people that come to the ring The last one remaining is the champ
Starting point is 00:36:21 And one of the beat up guys They called him out and he got beat up immediately He didn't even go in So Triple H who's now one of the head executives Like we've got to find somebody to replace them So they call Speed in speed races everybody on social media Tyree won't race them I don't even know what you're saying right now
Starting point is 00:36:36 Yeah that's okay Triple Hays and speed went out And it was cool. I liked it. And then he got crushed. He did not look prepared for that. It was hilarious. Do you see his leg after?
Starting point is 00:36:46 Yeah. I mean, he had a chunk out of it. Speed races people like just for fun? That's his thing. Nobody's faster than he was. They'll like jump over cars. Yeah, the cars will drive down the road. He'll, yeah.
Starting point is 00:36:58 He's super athletic. I mean, he did a backflip soon as he got in the ring. And then he got crushed with a spear. Oh, it's like, people's a camera phone. Like, their camera from their phones from the top, you see it. not even on television. He got crushed. Yeah, that was the weekend.
Starting point is 00:37:13 But Carl, I appreciate that call. I hope you have a great week. You too, Bobby. All right, see you later. Readers, Katie's finalists, publicists. We have an incredible new episode this week for you guys. We have our girl Hillary Duff in here,
Starting point is 00:37:27 and we can't wait for you to hear this episode. They put on Lizzie McGuire 2am video on demand. This guy's bobo-o-o-o-m. 2 a.m. Whatever time it is, Lizzie McGuire. And I'm like the paper with. It was like a first, like, closet moment. from me where I was like...
Starting point is 00:37:40 You're like, I don't feel like she's hot, like the rest of that. No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful. But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are. I'm not like... But listen to Los Coleristas

Starting point is 00:39:53 Most people out here think that taking care of one another is important. And most people would step up for a neighbor going through a tough time. Most people around here help out friends and family when they need it. But the funny thing is, most of us won't look for help when we need it. Talk to someone if you're struggling with mental health. Because most people out here really care. Find more information at loveyourmindtay.org. That's loveyourmindtay.org.
Starting point is 00:40:20 Brought to you by the Huntsman Mental Health Institute and the Ad Council. I want to go over and talk to Kevin and Virginia about the Grammys last night. Kevin, you're on. What's going on, buddy? Hey, how's going? Pretty good. good good hey i was watching this you know the awards last night when they came to american you know the uh music what is it the album award for country music i was shocked
Starting point is 00:40:47 that this woman won that compared to what you had on the other people i mean they were just so much more you know in there and my understanding is she didn't do anything in Nashville with this song it was all out LA. And I just don't understand how that happens unless your name is Beyonce. Okay, define a couple things. The first thing you did define, you said this woman, so you're talking about Beyonce. And what do you mean didn't do anything with anyone in Nashville? Could you elaborate on that? Supposedly, I was told, supposedly she had no country writers or singers or our author with this album. That's what I was told. I don't know if it's true or not,
Starting point is 00:41:33 but it would be, you know, it is what it is. But, you know, you have Post-alone, you had Ponyi Wilson and all these other people. I mean, dude, they're awesome. I mean, this girl, she doesn't go for me. Okay. And I've been around a long time. So because she doesn't go for you and because supposedly, which I would encourage you to just check on a few things before you, you know,
Starting point is 00:41:59 say she doesn't have anything happening from Nashville. Now, did they promote the record in Nashville? Not really, no. But that's not accurate. Because there were some artists that she had on, the album, that are Nashville artists, like as collabs. So that point is not true. And I'm not fighting for or against the record,
Starting point is 00:42:21 because here's the thing. I don't feel like I have to have an opinion on everything if I don't have an opinion on everything. So, like Britney Spencer was on the album, who has been on our show, has been on Amy's podcast, who lives in Nashville, who has born of the CMAs. So Willie Nelson is on the album.
Starting point is 00:42:41 Now you can say Willie Nelson doesn't live in Nashville. Country, dude. But he's as country as it gets. So I could go through all of this because Dolly's on it. Dolly lives in Nashville. So I guess my first encouraging word would be, you know I hate disinformation. I don't think you're being disinformative on purpose.
Starting point is 00:43:00 I think a little bit you're irritated that Beyonce won. the country album of the year. But I wouldn't use incorrect facts as your argument because then it kind of blows your whole argument. It's like in court if all of a sudden you get caught lying about something, well, why are we going to trust anything else you say? So that's the first thing I'm going to say. Second of all, it really doesn't matter
Starting point is 00:43:25 if you feel like it's country or not. The Grammys did. it is a different voting base and block than the award shows in Nashville. Both have tremendous flaws. All award shows have tremendous flaws to them. And I'll give you both flaws that I feel. CMAs and ACMs, they are the Country Music Awards that are based in Nashville.
Starting point is 00:43:52 Very much, if you're not Nashville, and you're not part of, like, the group and you don't have, like, your management and your, your agents and your record label like you need all that like you got to be in and a lot of people who are super country don't parentheses uh like more or if you're super successful like morgan wallen forever didn't win entertainer of the year and people were ticked off about it so there's a probably too much of a hey we're only nashville and nobody else gets to win it's why zach brian doesn't get nominated for stuff you think zach brian's country kevin
Starting point is 00:44:32 So, so. I mean, he was a little bit. No real Nashville. No real Nashville people on his record. I mean, a few, but not really. He's an Oklahoma guy with his own band. So, I mean, you could say the same thing that you say about Zach Bryan that you could with Beyonce. But I don't. I think they both made country records. And people will be like, well, why haven't to me? Why haven't you been supporting Beyonce? I've tried to get her on the show multiple times. She just wanted to come on the show. I came, when the record came out, I was like, yeah, I think it's pretty good. I definitely think
Starting point is 00:45:07 she did a country record. And same with Zach Bryan. Why won't he come on the show? He has to come on the show. I definitely think he does country music and records. Not my job to define it. I think the public, I think if you like capitalism in general, this is music capitalism. The Grammys, here's the bad thing about the Grammys. It's a whole different group of voters. people can be voting on this that don't even really care about country music and they just go we're just going to vote Beyonce because we think since she didn't get nominated at the CMAs or ACMs or we like her record better than some of the other country stuff that we don't even like it all we're going to vote for it so I also think people love dealing in rage currency if somebody would have won I don't think you would have been as happy as you are mad that she lost and it's not going to affect your day any way whatsoever like it literally will affect your day none had she won or Lainty one or whomever else was post Malone who by the way was a rapper until three years ago yeah so i think people get way too invested in what is and what isn't country because we've constantly been proven wrong every version of wow now this is country music has
Starting point is 00:46:25 every version has been wrong. And is the Beyonce record one of my top 10 listen to albums of the year? No, I don't even listen to albums. I mean, I don't. She won Best Country album? Okay, you know how many albums I listened to last year? None. Maybe a few songs here and there. But really, I'm just not going to let it irritate me because I don't care.
Starting point is 00:46:52 It doesn't affect me. It didn't affect me when she wasn't nominated. It doesn't affect me when she wasn't. one, both of these award show policies, they're just given away little trinkets, their trophies, and the voters are coming from two completely different places. Now, if I were to set up the perfect award show that I feel like absolutely represents each genre, I would just make me the ultimate judge. That's the award show. Yeah. And I do it. Sounds fair. That's what everybody would do. Otherwise, it's not fair. So,
Starting point is 00:47:24 I have no problem. I literally, if Laney would have won or Beyonce won, my day's no different. So I'm definitely not going to get upset about something that doesn't affect me. And also, I'm just not, if I'm going to go into an argument, too, if I were going to call Tigen Daniel this morning in Tulsa and be upset about Beyonce winning, I would definitely get my facts right first. Because I'm about to be on a show. And I'm about to get on and say, this is what I think. And I'm going to line up like seven points that they're going to go, oh, wow, I didn't think about that. I'm not going to lead with. well, I've heard there's nobody from Nashville on it because then as soon as I go, well, that's not right, everything else just kind of cut your legs out from under you. I think you're probably a good dude. And I think I'm just irritated to everybody for all of this
Starting point is 00:48:07 and I'm just taking it out on Kevin. But also in a very kind way, I must say. I'm feeling very kind here. I like Kevin. But, you know, the best country song went to Casey Musgraves and the architect. And you can go, well, that song didn't even make it on the radio. It's so good, but who cares?
Starting point is 00:48:22 Right, it's so good. So good. Same with Beyonce's album. there are people that will sit and go, it's so good. But did Beyonce also get a ton of listening from just her fans more than country music fans? Probably. I would say yes, but it doesn't matter. Best country solo performance went to Chris Stapleton.
Starting point is 00:48:41 It takes a woman. Beyonce was in these categories too and didn't win. She didn't win Best Country duo with her and Miley Cyrus. And I was like, dang, Miley got one, Billy Ray didn't ever. So they're just trinkets, man. even we win them. They're just trinkets. And if you start trying to define art, that's when you kill art. And eventually, if it's done, and it isn't, I will say, based on integrity.
Starting point is 00:49:10 It doesn't have to be country music. It can be jazz. Then eventually, the capitalism of music fans are going to kill it. So if you love capitalism, you've got to love new things hopping into genres. Beyonce is also not claiming, I'm here to be a country artist forever. same as post malone by the way post malone's not post malone came and has done his thing but i don't think he's ever he's going to put out country music the rest of his career and as long as someone doesn't claim that i don't mind you want to come into nashville or you want to come and do country music and be like i am a massive fan of this i want to do a record like this that's cool what annoys me is when
Starting point is 00:49:46 people act like they've always been it and they're always going to be it and it's only because they failed somewhere else i have no problem with wringo doing it because ringo's kind of always done it. It's just people like Ringo Star doing a country record do listen to this stuff 30 years ago it wasn't country then but if you were if it existed now you'd be like
Starting point is 00:50:03 well that's that's kind of country yeah so that's all I have to say I can read just some of the other stuff chopperone best new artist the Sabrina Carpenter performers was pretty good last night it's kind of funny too like she started up
Starting point is 00:50:17 she was going down these stairs and she couldn't quite get on the spotlight and so it looked very like vaudeville on purpose She had a cane and it was real funny. And she'd be like getting the spotlight and it would kind of move and she'd miss it. And then she was going down these stairs and they had built because of the camera angle, you couldn't tell that the stairs that she missed were not in the same set of stairs.
Starting point is 00:50:39 So it looked like she was going, she went down behind the stairs. She was like, what the crap? It was super funny. And she did that and then she rolls into, so she did espresso into maybe please, please, please. Is that what it was? Yeah. And then she went back into espresso. It's awesome.
Starting point is 00:50:54 I thought that was a really, really fun performance. She's, she's funny. When I went to her concert, I realized, like, how she, like, weaved in all this, like, throwback. Yeah, I went with Caitlin. And my daughter and, remember, I saw you? I wasn't out of the concert. You were there?
Starting point is 00:51:12 I know, but I went to your house. This is how you guys find out. I went to somewhere. Anyway, we went. If you guys all went, I don't know where you were going. Oh, we didn't know. You didn't know. Oh.
Starting point is 00:51:21 How long ago was that? gosh you don't remember every single thing we do I know it's so weird it was last fall I thought the dochi winning last night was super cool because I don't only know her from TikTok and I started watching her stuff and she's like theatrical hip hop
Starting point is 00:51:35 and she's like talking and it's like it hits you super weird at first you're like what is happening here it's awesome yeah she was cool and then she gets on and gives a great speech and like third woman ever to win the best rap album Lauren Hill Cardi B and Docee
Starting point is 00:51:49 and again that's TikTok that exposed me to her, so I had a lot of her show up in my... I'm not cool enough, my point is I'm not cool enough to know Docheon unless I start to see it on TikTok. Mike, you? Yeah. I mean, I saw her for the first time last night. Oh, really? I didn't... I didn't see it before now. Yeah. Did you see Benson Boone?
Starting point is 00:52:07 Yes. Like, that dude does flips. On stage. I know. Like, that's crazy. Benson Boone came to me at my feet, everything's TikTok. At my fee because he was doing a cranberries cover. I think he was doing linger, right? It was a big linger cover. Do you have to... Maybe. Anyway, that's it.
Starting point is 00:52:25 The Beatles did win for a... This is the weird one. Now, I can understand if people have a little beef with best rock performance the Beatles winning. This would be the one where I go, I'm going to listen to your argument,
Starting point is 00:52:40 and I'm going to hear it, because they used AI, because John Lin is not alive anymore. And where was the performance? In AI world, I don't know, dude. The Beatles won for now and then best rock performance.
Starting point is 00:52:51 So you may look, maybe they did a, I don't know, maybe they did a performance of it with a... No, I didn't do it. I think you just say it says it's a performance. Okay, a song. Like a song. Yeah. But I did see a new version of the Beatles when they were kind of messing playing around. It was Paul Simon, Paul McCartney, Ringo, and somebody else.
Starting point is 00:53:11 And they were playing like a little show. That's cool. That's fun. And then I did see the Nirvana at Fire Aid. Do you see Nirvana play Mike? I saw that, yeah. They did, so it was David. Grohl on drums.
Starting point is 00:53:23 It was Pat Samir playing guitar. It was Chris Navaselik playing bass. So those are all the members of Nirvana. And Kurt Cobain did. But instead,
Starting point is 00:53:33 they had Joan Jett. They had Dave Grohl's daughter, who was really good. And they had St. Vincent, who also performed, I believe, at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Starting point is 00:53:44 with them because Kurt was dead. And I thought that was pretty cool. I watched a lot of fire aid stuff on TikTok over the weekend. I thought Atlanta was awesome. Like she still crushes.
Starting point is 00:53:55 That was one of my favorite, just to see her sing again. I mean, no doubt was, like, they still crushed too. They were good. They're still playing a lot, though. I think they're like touring again or doing a bunch of shows. It's so cool. The energy's still there and they're so like, and they're not super old, but they're old. But maybe it's because we saw Gwen and Gwen still performs.
Starting point is 00:54:12 That wasn't that novel to me because Gwen performed at IHeart Festival too this last year. But yeah, they did. I saw Gracie Abrams do Counting Crows Long December Which is super cool At first I was like
Starting point is 00:54:24 I don't know if I like it And then it was really good But mostly I didn't know if I liked it Because I love counting crows And I'm like do not disrespect the long December But that's it Kevin Anything else
Starting point is 00:54:34 I don't know if you're still there Anything else You're free to say I'm here I don't want to hang up on you And let you not say whatever you want to say No everything's good
Starting point is 00:54:43 man I appreciate it I listen to you all Almost every day 80 miles one way Dang, where are you going for 80 miles? I go to Shalsville, University of Virginia. I work up there.
Starting point is 00:54:56 So you drive an hour and a half every morning to work, and then how far is it back? Is it traffic get you on the way back? No, it's not bad at all. It's not bad at all, but I've been doing it for 30 years. Oh, my goodness. You must love your hometown? Yes, mechanics do all I do.
Starting point is 00:55:13 Man, good for you. That's a long drive. Well, I appreciate you listening, and thank you for calling, and hope you have a great rest of the day. And hey, I think it's absolutely acceptable if you don't like the Beyonce album. I think that's absolutely cool
Starting point is 00:55:25 and there's a lot of stuff I don't like. So we're all good though. All right, buddy, have a great rest of the day. See you, bye-bye. See, later. Bobby Boneshow. Bonehead. Story of the day!
Starting point is 00:55:37 This story comes to us from the zoo. A 28-year-old man decided, hey, I need to build my TikTok following. How am I going to do that? there's lions at the zoo. If I go and get a TikTok video with the lions, I'm going to go viral. So he went to the zoo, climbed into the lion cage, and got mauled. So he did get mauled.
Starting point is 00:55:59 Yeah, he got injuries to his face, shoulder, and arm. Did somebody at least record it? Right. Because he never said he didn't want to get mauled. He just wanted a TikTok following. Did it go viral? Right. That's because maybe he was willing to sacrifice that.
Starting point is 00:56:11 They have video of it from the zoo's perspective, but there is no TikTok video from him. So the zoo can go viral and get the followers, but he can't. Yeah, that's probably one where you get in there and there's a split second where you're like, I made a bad decision. Like Tiger eye to eye, you're like, oh, this was not what I thought it was going to be. Okay. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day. Experts say get a pen and paper and start writing more, just like we did back in the day if you want to create connections with people. A handwritten letter carries an emotional weight that conveys effort and care, especially if you're thanking. someone, showing appreciation, or asking a favor.
Starting point is 00:56:49 A handwritten letter has five times the effect on a person than when they read an email. That's from Woman's World magazine. When's the last time you've written anything, Amy, of substance? Oh, recently. I guess you probably journal. Yeah, I journal daily pretty much, but I've been trying to do some notes. And I can say that I received a handwritten note from a friend in a mail a couple of weeks ago. In the mail.
Starting point is 00:57:14 That's a double. Yeah. And I thought, well, this is really, this is really, it just meant a lot to me. And it was random out of nowhere. And she was just sharing some things. And I thought, well, this is really special. And I know how it made me feel. So I want to make others feel that way. So I can get behind this.
Starting point is 00:57:28 I feel like I just confuse people if I write things because I can't read my writing most of the time. So if I'm going to write something, multi sentences, they don't know what it is either. What about if you write slow? It doesn't matter. I have terrible handwriting. I can't draw. Can't really write. You could write.
Starting point is 00:57:41 I should have been a doctor. I got the perfect doctor. Scribble. Scroble, yeah. Lunchbox, you ever write stuff? Yeah, I write all the time. Like, answers to games. No, like sentences. You know what I'm asking. No, I don't write anything.
Starting point is 00:57:53 Like, not even to your wives, both any of you. What would I write to my wife? What? I send her text all the time. Let me pick up food for lunch. What do you need for me? What do we write? What would you write?
Starting point is 00:58:07 Did you listen to what Bobby just read? It's more connection. Oh, we're connected pretty good. No, no, no, no. You're good. Yeah, we feel pretty good. Do you know how much it would mean to her if you just did a handwritten note and like... I don't know that it would.
Starting point is 00:58:22 What's the last line of that article you just read? Like five times, it means five times more. Yeah, but who says that? Yeah, a woman's well. I'm not a woman. It's not my world. So anyway, if you want to write notes, again, Abby got a job here because I didn't hire her for the initial job. She wrote me a handwritten letter.
Starting point is 00:58:36 And I was like, hey, what about that old girl with a good handwriting? Gosh, that's true. We brought her back in. And I said, write for me in person. And she did. And I was like, you're in. So it meant more to you. Hired her all on handwriting.
