Here's your host, Bobby Bones. You guys try to get into a doctor at all lately? No. Just for anything? No, why? Well, it just takes forever because of COVID still. Months out. Like, I've got a sleep doctor in December that I had to set a couple weeks ago because

it's a sleep study. I have a wrist appointment tomorrow. My wrist, which I've been complaining about for months at this point, the fact that it's not broken. I don't have to go to the emergency room. They're like, yeah, we'll get you into the bone specialist and that's finally tomorrow, but it's taken me almost three months to get in.

But it, like, moves up and down my wrist. It's in my elbow, and I was like, it's tendonitis. And then that's what you get for Googling things. Don't do that. But I have a rest appointment tomorrow, but everything breaks. That's the difference in age, really, for me, is that nothing heals back quickly.

Also, COVID doesn't help, which, by the way, they're in COVID now on the morning show. What? Oh, yeah, you got the TV show of the morning show? No. Jennifer Anderson, Rick's Fetherspoon. No, I've been wanting to because that's on, is that on HBO? It's Apple Plus.

It's going to be more than that. Once these stories start to be like this, it goes up. I bet it'll be 700 million. You know, when I play the lottery, like the day after when somebody wins it and you know, it's not you, like it's a bad feeling like i think because i think about it so much really hey lunchbox i'm dead serious every time i do play the lottery and it's a big jackpot like that the whole day i'm thinking like gosh this could really change my life like man i could really do this or man i can really spend money on this and then after the next day when somebody else wins it you're like

well i guess it wasn't me and i'm ruined the whole day you're ruined i'm telling you i build myself up so much just for one day i'm ruined that i don't like the feeling so much that i don't even think I won a play lottery ever again. Okay, that's good. Ever again. It's like following people on Instagram that don't make you feel good. Stop following them. Exactly. It's like listening to a radio show that pisses you off. Stop listening to us. Exactly. Wait, us?

Well, yeah, sure. I'd rather you not complain about it, honestly. Or that you just not listen if you hate it. Okay. Venom 2 was out. I don't watch Venom 1, but Mike, we were talking about some of the show. That's in Marvel Universe? Yeah. And Venom is a bad guy? Yeah, it's not the same Marvel Universe as the event.

Avengers at the different Marvel, but same kind of comic book characters. I'm confused. Okay, but... Universe. Sony. Sony has its own universe? Sony has their own, and MCU, which is by Disney, is totally different. But they're both Marvel? Both Marvel.

I just wonder how the movie was. You wouldn't like it. No? It's very silly. It's kind of trying to be like Deadpool, but without all, like, the violence. But I thought it was okay. It was better than the first one, but it was so kind of cheesy and over the top. Wasn't my favorite Marvel movie.

You give it? Three out of five chickens, which is a reference to the thing that Venom needs to stay alive. Real chickens? Yeah, he can either eat humans or chickens. Huh. I get it. Just chickens or humans?

Yeah, and chocolate. The list keeps growing. Or vegetables. Apparently, energy drinks lead to addiction. Do you guys see this story in the news? Addiction of the energy drink or? No, addiction of, like, cocaine. What?

Because you need that feeling of like staying away all the time? Well, so are you an energy drink person? Yeah, once in a while, Red Bull. Once in a while, me too. I wouldn't say that I'm like diehard energy drink, but I'll have one. I've never had a monster. Before a show, I'll have one. Like if I'm going to go to comedy or raging idiots and I need it, I'll pop one.

I'll do five-hour energy. Done that too. I've never done one of those. Yeah, those are good. According to a new study, energy drinks could lead to cocaine use and alcoholism. Researchers found the people who drank daily energy drinks while they were younger were more likely to use cocaine and prescription stimulants by age 25. They were also at higher risk of abusing alcohol.

Stay away from those then. Well, no. Kids, probably. I don't know. Like, my kids never really want energy drinks. Well, they haven't asked for that yet. I don't think they're as cool to kids now as they were to us. Yeah.

Because when we were kids, it was like you work out and you have one. You'd see, you know. Well, you're right. I do remember that. It's like healthy, too. Like, the gym would have to get you a red bull. Finish your workout, get you a red bull. It gives you wings.

Well, they still say that. Okay, yeah, you're right. Ray has sent me this segment time and time again. And what he does, he tries to slide in segments that he's sent, and he thinks I don't read them. Is that what it is? No, I just feel like they can get brought back up if they're timely, if something was in the news about them,

or if I just feel like it's a good segment that really should make the show. But what's timely about third eye blind? Nothing really timely with that. That was really just, I thought it was absolutely hilarious, just to kind of show sometimes not all. DJ, or I know you don't like being called a DJ, but sometimes people on the radio aren't good. Some people are DJs, though. Right. People on the radio are DJs. But I'm talking about a DJ and he just was not good at his job. It was so funny. I had to share it. Nobody else appreciates it. Tell us the story.

Okay, so he was introing semi-charmed life by Semi-Sonic. Third Eye Blind. And in his intro to the song, he ripped on Stephen Jenkins, the lead singer of Third Eye Blind, right? And then he also did a low-key flex, and then he also ripped on the people that were listening to him on the show. Who is this? Do you have a clip? Yeah, no, this, I'm going to recreate it. Oh, okay, go ahead. So this is, I'm going to act like I'm the DJ on this FM station locally. Go ahead. Yeah, Stephen Jenkins, he's really not a great guy. He's pretty rough around the edges, tough to talk to. A lot of people say he's really cold. I've met him. I've become friends with them, and after years and years of getting to know him, he's actually pretty decent. But you guys

probably won't ever meet him. But I had that connection to work. I was able to meet him. But yeah, here's Semi-Charmed Life. Semi-Sonic. No, third-eyed blind. Secondly, you wouldn't have posted it perfectly at tonight. It was pretty funny. You heard that on the radio?

Dude, it was a Saturday night. We were all dying laughing. We were like, did he just really intro a song like that? Yeah, really not a great guy, but here's Semi-Charmed Life. Bye? Third-eye blind. Nice. And what does Semi-Sonic sing?

Dye other stuff. Definitely not. Other stuff. Good riddens? No. Closing time. Time to dance about it. Yep.

Yeah, that one. Yeah, he goes, nope. Yeah, yeah, that's it. Ray says he has to say goodbye to a Bobby Bone Show artifact, which is making him a little sad. So this was one of our best music videos of all time. Blurred lines? No, yeah.

We had to delete it from YouTube. Why? It was a massive hit. Everybody loved it. Well, we did our own version of it. Correct. Was ours? I can't remember.

What was in a book? Oh, Jared Neiman's saying it. We did a cover of it. Jared Neiman sang it and we made a video for it. And there was some skin in it. But what skin? I was shirtless. Yeah, the guys were shirtless.

Okay, but we switched it. Like, in their video, the girls are topless and shirtless. So the guys are shirtless in our video. But you can be shirtless just outside. Yeah, but they're wearing just underwear and they're dancing. So what? Hold on, but the guys were wearing what? Underwear.

Yeah. Okay. The guys were in their boxers and ters. Topless. Yeah, no, I remember I was in the video. Go ahead. But I had clothes on. You did. I made sure I was fit. That's the tannest I've ever been. It was a great video. And now forever it's deleted. Can you say? I know why. Can you say why?

Probably not. I want to know why. I think one of a person that used to work on the show is trying to get a new job. Good. And it's affecting their new job. Oh, yes. Yes. Because it's a, I guess an inappropriate video. I heard about that. And that makes sense. Yes. And only because what their new job is. Right, right. Right. Scuba called and was like,

hey so so-and-so needs a bunch of videos taking it out off YouTube and I can tell he was torn because it's the show and

kind of the history of the show and there was nothing that anybody was getting in trouble over and I could tell scuba kind of didn't want to

I don't want to put words in your mouth scuba yeah I mean I didn't want to because he was just protecting the show yeah and with YouTube views

the company gets paid. We don't get paid for, I don't get paid for YouTube views, but I like for people to be able to go and watch stuff on the show sometimes. And he was like, hey, but then he told me what the person's job was they were trying to get. And I was like, yeah, we should probably too. I don't really want to, but we probably should. Yeah, it makes sense.

Do you not know Eddie? I know exactly. Oh, everybody knows him. Yeah, we know. I've got to pull them, yeah. Yeah, okay. Now I know. I forgot. We were doing a segment last. Yes, Morgan. Well, I will tell Ray when I took them down. I just unpublished them, so I still

have them. They're not gone for us. They're just no longer for anybody else to see. So, Ray, you can have it. Yes, for your mems. So you can watch it. Not mine, but, I mean, someday maybe show the kids that. Yeah. Look back on it when I'm 60.

And just maybe blur that person out. There is a morning show in Los Angeles. It's hosted by Ellen K. And I've known Ellen for a long time. But they were taking calls on their request line. And we were also doing the segment of how did you get your 15 minutes of fame? Remember that? Yeah.

Because Eddie shared his story about shooting a meteorite with a camera and Ellen Kay is doing her show in LA and she gets a call her calling into our show, which was bizarre because our numbers aren't even that similar, right, Scuba? I found out what it was is he lives in Tampa and their call letters are 1035 and Coast is 1035 so they have a very similar phone number. So he thought he was calling our show in Tampa but in reality called L.A. show. So wow, he ended up calling. What are the odds? Ellen Kaye Show.

And so she answers and here's the call. Hi. I'm trying to find, I'm trying to call in to the Bobby Bones show. Oh, Bobby Bones is our, he's our colleague, our coworker. So Bobby Bones lives and works in Nashville, and his show is on a different station. This is Coast 103.5 in Los Angeles. I'm Ellen. There's Ryan. Hey, how are you? I'm good, and I love y'all's show, the 3013.15, the Bobby Bones. show. I'm in Tampa, but the situation I'm having is Bobby Bone advertised on the radio yesterday.

If anybody's been splattered on the front page of the newspaper and had 15 minutes of fame to call in. I like that topic. I think he's going to be blown away when he hears all the stories I have. Oh, please tell us. Yeah, we want to hear. What happened? I'm not sure about all the years, but when Dick Grubon, Recker was mayor of Tampa. I stopped a carjacking from a guy that was carjacking somebody. And the guy broke into the mayor's house. And I went in the mayor's house and got them.

So they gave me a full run of the city for that one. Then the next one, a policeman had his gun taken away from him when the guy tried to shoot him. And I took the guy down and took the gun away from him. and I received the Carnegie Medal of Honor for that one. Whoa. Are you so good? Okay.

Another one, a lady flipped her RV in a retention pond, and it was too dangerous for paramedics to rescue her. And you did. Because the truck was on fire, and I ran out there in the fire and pulled the lady out, and I received my second, Carnegie Medal of Honor. That's what it was. Well, now, listen, I just want to say to you, I just want you to be careful. I'm a mother.

I have a son and I want you to be careful. So when you go racing into burning cars and lakes and things like that and saving people and taking them down, you just remember that there are people in this world who love you and who would miss you if anything happened to you

whilst being a hero. Yes, you know, that's true. My wife is so. There you go. Anyway, that's funny. How nice of Alan Kaye to keep talking and be like giving your story? Pretty cool, huh?

He kept going. He did. He did keep going. He got a lot. A lot of instances. He's just running into stuff. All right. I think that's probably going to be it. I'm really hungry.

We read you these last few notes. Researchers found that the average time working adults wake up is... Six. 6.30. 6.15. The average bedtime is... 10. Yeah, 10.30.

10.57. Oh. Seems a little late. Especially if you're trying to get that 8 hours, it'd be 1015 to 615. You know what I said last week that people were like, hey, that is not a relatable to me at all. I was talking about gift cards and this is me just only thinking about my life and how much I travel and I was like, do you know what the best gift card would be? It's like a Southwest gift card. Some people are like, I don't travel at all. That would

not have been a good gift card for me. I heard that from a ton of people. Yeah, but maybe they would travel. Well, that was my thinking too. But I heard from so many people like, no, give me a Starbucks card or a target card. Oh. But I was like, man, why were we talking about that? Because in the pile, I had the number one gift that people want to give, and the number one gift people want to receive. And it was a survey done of thousands of people, and the flight gift card was something people want to receive. And I was like, yes, that would be the greatest.

Yeah, you weren't out of the... Not even for a full flight. Yeah. But it's like 50 bucks, 25 bucks. Towards the flight. Yeah. Because, I mean, there's... Well, I got told I was out of touch because I just travel so much.

No. No, I demand I'm out of touch. No, you're not. What? I challenge that. You're not. You're not. And I feel like that's something.

where that would come in handy if you aren't able to travel. But if people give you gift cards, then it's like, wow, you might get to go see family or do something cool that you otherwise wouldn't get to do. That's like if you go on a game show and the big prize is like, hey, you get Starbucks because it's more relatable to you. No, you get like, you get a trip to Paris. Yeah.

Well, that'll travel. It's only good at Starbucks. That's dumb. Well, I felt pretty dumb, to be honest with you. Well, you should not let them. I was like, oh, man, maybe I just have no concept. I travel all the time, all the time. So I guess that's why.

To me, that's so top of mind. I was like, dang, it's someone to buy me a flight instead of me having to spend money on it? But I would counter that with, like, someone that doesn't get to travel all the time. If you, because of expense, possibly, if you give them a gift card to travel, then they get to travel.

Dan Levy. She talks about that. It's pretty cool. And she's massive in Canada. and now she's trying to make it in the States, which is a common thing. Once they get big up there, sometimes they're like, let's go over.

But it's talking to her manager afterward, and he's like, man, in Canada, she's like, superstar. She said three number ones in a row. Most played country artists in Canada and top five pop artists played in Canada because her country song was so big at crossover. But here in the state, she doesn't have a song yet. She's the only one with Dustin.
