the Bobby Bones post show. Here's your host, Bobby Bones. The voice you hear is Raymundo, who does our intro. I was looking at Ray's Instagram story, and said that White Lotus was really good. What is that? Same. I don't know what it is. What's white?

Because I've seen a couple other people post about it, but haven't been drawn to even investigate it. What is White Lotus and what's it on? Connie Britton, and it's all based at a hotel, and it's really just hotel life so you would probably enjoy it. You just did the honeymoon thing. If you ever in that type of an industry, it's all the

wacky stuff, people leave stuff, the crimes happen, this. It's just the amazing culture of a hotel. It's almost a city in itself. 60 minutes? 30 minutes. I'm wanting to say about 45. Okay, and then what streaming service? That's a

good question. HBO Max. Yeah. 85% Rotten Tomato. Audience. 73% critic. That's the opposite. The way it looks to be pretty good. So basically anyone

that stayed at a hotel is gonna like this. Apparently because I went on a honeymoon I'll like the show. Well, I think it's like a resort situation. I can see by the pictures maybe what Ray is referring to. We just watched all of

Sweet Tooth on Netflix. What's that? It was like the most... You know, every year it seems like they've got a new most popular show ever. And Sweet Tooth for a while was that on Netflix. They were like, it's our biggest show

of the year or whatever. I loved Sweet Tooth. tooth. It has 98% critic, 88% audience. Oh, is that the little kid with the horns? Yes. So what happens is I love, there are certain kind of shows I love. I love time travel. This isn't that.

I love end of the world type stuff. This is that. This is end of the world? And they actually wrote it and started recording it before COVID hit. COVID halted production in season one. But it's about a virus that goes around. They find a virus and people have to start wearing masks. It's very

COVID-y. A little too real there. But what happens is all of a sudden These kids start to show up that they call hybrids They're like Mostly kid but a little bit animal too And they can't figure out why But this kid it's his He has horns

He's like part deer And it's a little Like awkward at first and you're like But then it is a fantasy obviously I loved it Would kids like it? Because my daughter was looking at that That's the only reason why I knew

What? I don't know A kid with horns Yeah I mean it's not bad Okay There's not like a much sex or anything Okay, I didn't know. Yeah.

Sex animals, I don't know. I don't know where your mind goes. Well, you just said this, you. But it was really good. I liked sweet tooth. No one else has seen sweet tooth, huh? No. Period.

No. No. All right. Well, if you're looking for a Netflix show, it's eight episodes, I really liked it. Quarky, you have to get through the animal baby part. Because the first time you see a baby that's part animal. It's Warren's. You're like, yeah.

It's probably weird. But I love the apocalypse. I love it happening and seeing, for me, I was telling Caitlin, I was like, man, have you so cool if that happened and we had to fight our way through it. She was like, that wouldn't be cool. I was like, you're right. It wouldn't be. Where would you go? Who knows? My wife and I have this conversation. But I have a skill set that people don't even know

I have. I can survive. Bones aren't working though, bones. I don't care. Yeah, I mean, my Twitter says, you're like, I could social media my way out of this. But what I need to do? Build something? Shoot something? Skin something? I can do all that. Don't forget where I grew up. Don't sleep on my Arkansas roots. It's true. You can fish.

But sweet tooth was pretty good. We did watch the first two episodes of Ted Lasso, which is good. It's bad. I just hate having to wait a week to watch each episode. Oh, you have to wait. Yeah. Last time we didn't wait because we were all late to the party. We got to watch it all at once.

That's what's going to happen when Yellowstone does come back. If it ever comes back. It's going to be like once a week. Here's my pickle. I got the free year membership on Apple. I feel like they're going to hold this. And it's coming up. I think it's coming up in like two months, my renewal.

So I think they're going to hold off until I have to renew. Hold off what? Well, every episode is going to be released slowly. Ted Lasso? For me to watch the last two episodes, I'm going to be like, all right, I'm going to have to renew. Because it was free. Of Ted Lasso. Well, I don't, yeah, how many episodes are there?

I don't think that was you. They were targeting. I took advantage of the deal when they made that deal. Like, all right, one year free subscription of Apple TV, and I did it. When you're on vacation with your kids, I know you guys just went to Disney. Did you and your wife have any time to watch any shows or nothing? No time. It was all just to take them on a trip.

Yes. And, man, I mean, you know, you know, me, dude, I'm a night owl. Like, especially on vacation, when I don't have to wake up early, I'm like, this is my chance to wake up late, stay up all night, watch TV. I can't do that anymore. I'm just going to have to get used to it that I just go to bed at 930, 10 every night and I wake up early. Just because we're exhausted. The kids exhaust us. So at the end of the day, we're like, well, there's no time for us. And we usually do start a show. We're like, hey, let's start a show. And then about five minutes in. Really? Both of us. Well, you turn it off if she falls asleep.

Or do you continue watching it? She's the one that turns it off. It stays on and then I wake up and it's off. I guess she turns it off like somewhere two in the morning. But I'm saying if one of you falls asleep and you're watching a new show, will that person that's awake still watch the episode? She's done it before or we've started a show and then she ends up watching four episodes and I fell asleep. But it's pretty rare.

How was Disney? Disney was good. Disney was awesome for the kids. I mean, I enjoyed it because I'm a kid at heart, but there are some people at Disney that our age, our age that truly become children like they dress in mickey mouse stuff and like mini mouse stuff and wear tiger tails and they go all out and that's just like what they do and i i was just fascinated by that by like wow this like older people really love coming to disney but the kids loved it i had a really good time because of the kids but man it was expensive like everything

is expensive and it costs you everything we had one lunch where I got really upset. And I was so upset that we paid that much money for a lunch. I've never paid this much money for a lunch ever in my life, ever. And I was really upset. And the beast showed up for like five seconds. I was like, with this much money. From beauty and the beast?

Yes. For this much money, I want the beast to come sit with us and talk. Oh, you mean you went to a place where the animals or the characters are. They say that, you know, you sit down, you have lunch, and the beast comes and you're his guest. And he showed up for five seconds. and I'm like, I was really upset. Not that the Beast showed up for five seconds, but that we paid that much money for lunch.

Did you complain? Internally. Because I didn't want to ruin that moment for the kids. Did they know you were upset? No. Did they think the beast was cool? Yeah. Were they happy with the whole experience?

Yes, I understand. No, no, I'm just asking questions. Yes. I'm not anybody seen. But internally, I was pissed. Oh. So mad. Because, again, we've gone to awesome places.

We've got to travel the country, right? Have we ever paid that much money for lunch? I don't know how much you pay. No, we have no idea how much you pay. I'm telling you right now, the answer is no. Okay. And I was upset. And I told my wife, and she said, just we'll deal with it later.

Did you do the bracelets where it charges everything to the bracelet? That's part of the problem, too. It's genius. Like, does Apple, why, or does that exist in the world? Because it is genius. They give you a wristband. And basically, anywhere you go, you just scan it and it pays. You don't have, it opens your hotel room.

You get a popsicle, beep, paid. Dinner, beep, paid. A ride, beep, go in. And you have no worries until the end of the day where you're like, oh, wow, we scan that a lot. A lot of beeping. A lot of beeping. Did you ride anything? We rode everything.

I mean, we just rode, road, road, road, road, road. I mean, and the cool thing is that we got to, my wife and I got like a wife swap thing. Well, I called it a wife swap, but it was a ride swap, I guess. Since we had a baby, we got to, one parent would ride the ride with the kids, and then one kid would get to ride it again. with the other parent, back to back, as soon as we were done, just because we had a baby in a stroll that couldn't ride rides. So, one of our kids got to ride the same ride twice. How did, how did you decide which kid?

We just took turns. They fight over it? No, sometimes. Like, the ride was so awesome. They'd be like, I want to do it again, but we just took turns. And that's how they did it. But it was, dude, it was great. I really will never, I don't want to go there again for like another 20 years, 30 years,

if I have to, but it was good. And you guys went and got your cat. Yeah, we did. I feel Eddie, I can second Eddie's thing on Disney. Like we went not to like, what, a couple years ago? And I'm like, I'm good for a while, but my kids already want to go back. And I'm like, oh gosh. There's a sign that says like, see you soon.

I'm like, no, you will not. You will not see me soon. But, yeah, check that box. Yes, we went to get the cat and it was amazing. I'd never flown with a cat before. So that was interesting. Your daughter had like a space backpack where you put the cat in the backpack. Yeah.

I ordered on Amazon. Yeah, it was inspired by Taylor. It was a bubble backpack, which was, I mean, it was honestly one of the cheapest little carriers I could find. And it just so happened that it was super cute and looked cute on her. And everybody in the airport, it's like, oh my gosh, there's a cat. There's cat in her backpack. People were fascinated by it. And I was like, oh, yeah, this is a cat.

But she's precious. She's been like a great addition. She's so sweet. And the dog and her aren't really getting along yet. That's the only problem. Like, I've been attacked a few times. But that was like an accident because the dog barged in and she wasn't supposed to. But I'm doing everything online or all the tips and tricks that people have given me and YouTube to try to socialize them properly.

We're just not there yet. They're still hissing and scratching and stuff. Yeah. I mean, I'm going to two dogs. They've been together for three, four months. Check out movie Mike's movie podcast. Mike's talking about TV shows that would make good movies. I think Ted Lassow would make a good movie.

out some podcasts. And a lot of people saying nice stuff about your podcast, Mike. I know. It's awesome. It's weird because they say nice stuff, but they're surprised that it's so good. And then if I'm Mike, I'm like, why you surprise it's so good? Of course, like, what do you think about me? Why do you think it's going to be good?

I get that out a lot. They're like, I'm surprised it's actually good. Well, you don't talk much. I don't. So I think that's probably what it is, actually hear Mike talk. But check out movie mics, movie podcast. lunchbox had his 40th birthday. Did just you and your wife go to Vegas?

No kids? Oh, no, no. You don't take kids to Vegas. I don't understand when I go to Vegas and I see people with kids, I look at them like, you have lost your freaking mind. Like, why would you ever take your kids to Las Vegas? That is not somewhere for kids to be. So no, my kids...

Yeah, but I would say that it's a different experience for everybody. Like, I don't go to Vegas to do what Lunchbox does to gamble or drink. I could see you actually taking a kid to Vegas because I would like to go do that stuff too. Watch some fun shows. You know, they have kids. shows. I wouldn't be against taking a kid to a baby. I'm not a big gambler anymore.

So, but for what you do, I understand. But there's a lot for kids in Vegas. I just don't see, like, I don't think the Vegas environment, the debauchery, the drunken everything, people out of control. I just don't think kids, I don't see how that's enjoyable. Like, it's so

weird to me that that's where you take a family vacation, but whatever. So no, I did not take the kids. We left the kids with my parents and we went without the kids and it was amazing. Was she worried the whole time that the kids were with your parents? Nope. Not one bit.

Well, she was a little worried because my parents took him to the lake and she was like, oh, man, your dad's not very like responsible. And it was going to be my mom and dad with my two kids and then my sister's three kids. And so they were going to be outnumbered. And she was just like, oh, my gosh, there's going to be so many kids. And I was like, they'll be fine. But once we got to Vegas, I don't think my wife worried because she sure didn't check on them very much. We didn't call in. We didn't

FaceTime. We just did our thing. Yeah, welcome to 40. Oh, man, it sucks. That does hurt, though. I don't like it when people say I'm 40. Like, it's just a, it's a weird age to say, like, it just hurts. Like, it's one of those, when I was a kid, I would see my parents turn 40, and I was like,

man, they are so old. I cannot believe they're 40. And everybody, you know, you're supposed to dress in all black because you're over the hill, and it's like, golly, it's over, man. So emotionally, I haven't recovered yet, but Yeah, it was a good vacation. Vegas was just great food.

Oh, man. Mike D, you went on your honeymoon? Yeah. How was it? It was awesome. We got time to just relax and hang out, kind of celebrate being married for the first time. What do you guys do on a honeymoon? Did you guys go to go to restaurants?

We went to a lot of restaurants and mainly just sat by the pool and just read books. That's what we did. How many days were you gone? Five days? Wow. That's cool. We've never taken two weeks at a time when you're not. We've only ever taken.

two weeks at Christmas and that you have your obligations meaning you have to go to your family they're a Christmas obligation we've never in my history of doing the show taking two weeks off when it's just wide open and so you know you think we'll do that more often or what who knows

who knows who knows what's going to happen but you can't talk about yours what does that mean well we can't who knows what's going to happen in the future okay just in general you don't know what tomorrow's going to exactly I don't but I felt like like there was like some weight lingering.

He did say it in a weird way. Yeah, you said it in a way of like, basically who knows if this show will be around in 2022. Who knows? Who knows? Who knows? We were talking on the radio show about Jake and that song made for you. They're getting sued.

And I was like, free Jake, justice for Jake. He didn't write the song. Get him out of the lawsuit. All that stuff. A lot of people were asking me, because Jake was at the wedding. Like, hey, why didn't Jake sing a song? He blew his voice out on his show at the run.

like two nights before. He called me the day before a wedding. It was like, dude, I want to sing. I can't. I can't. And I was like, dude, just come to the wedding. You don't have to sing anything.

He was going to do, I go anywhere. Yeah. But I was like, dude, who cares? We're rocking. We don't need you. That's nice if he'd offer. Yeah.

But come have a good time. And he did him and Eric came. It's great. Dirk's text me, who, this is just the artist people that came. They're my friends. I didn't invite anybody that wasn't a buddy. Like, if they're just like a casual person,

they didn't come. But Dirks was like, hey, after Ronnie sang, he was like, thanks for asking me, not asking me to sing because I didn't,

I wouldn't want him to follow Ronnie. Ronnie Dunn or Brooks and Dunn. But it was good. We walked down the aisle to made for you from Jake Owen, who was just in the crowd, but we had to play. We were going to have a singer,

but the audio didn't allow a singer, so we had instrumentation, just playing the song. But the guys walked down to the office theme song on violin and cello and Caitlin walked down to, no,

she didn't make for you, because that was her walk down. We walked out. Her bridesmaids came down to God whispered your name when Keith Urban. Then God whispered your name. Yeah. And then we walked out to adore you.

Harry Stiles. You left. Yeah. Yeah. I think that's the music list. Were there more TV themes throughout the night? I feel like I heard every TV theme at some point. Well, you heard the office when we walked down.

And then did they play Full House? Like the band? No, but where do I remember that? From Full House, Dan and Shea played forever. They played forever. But then I heard something else. Maybe. I think Kramer played the Friends theme song.

Oh, Kramer. I mean, I just remember TV themes all night. I think that was not something on purpose. Oh, okay. The two things were for us forever and then the office theme song. But I think Kramer just happened to throw that in there. We have a guest room full of wedding gifts now. And I don't want to open all the gifts and they have to go back and write all the thank you cards.

So what we're doing is every day we go and open three or four of them. card as we open the gift, we put the card in a basket, and then the next day we slowly move through it. That's smart. Because I don't want to open everything and then just never get to the thank you cards. That's what will happen. Yeah, it can get overwhelming. So as I'm opening one, Caitlin writes the card and I sign it. Then she goes and opens one and I write the card and sign it and then she signs it. And then the people that were like from her side of the wedding, she writes the card for and I sign it as I'm opening. You know, we got a little plan here. Are you writing more than thank you for the coffee baker?

Oh, yeah, of course. Which where we are mostly, I think. But. Like a little inside joke in there. Yeah, with most people. Yeah. I hope so. So far we are.

I don't know who's, you know, 70 cards from now. Yeah. You can ask me then, but we're slowly getting through that. T.Y. BB. Right. It's all abbreviations. We did the wedding at our yard in our house, and we have a basketball court in the back, and they had to move the basketball goals.

They shattered one of the backboards. No. Moving it. I know. Sucks. I don't know who pays for that now. If they broke it, they have to pay for it. Or if it's just like us.

Or it's just a loss. But I walked back there last night because I'll put Stanley, I'll kick a volleyball in that basketball court. It's got a fence around it. And he attacks basketballs and volleyball. And so I kick the volleyball, and he'll go run to it and attack it. And then he'll let it go of it.

And I'll kick it. But I looked up, and the backboard was completely just shattered all the way through. So they're moving it and somebody dropped it, probably. Or maybe Shaq came and played in the middle of night. Possibly they had a slam dunk. contest after the wedding after we're gone that you didn't tell me about um but morgan went on her her road trip which talked about on the show with her boyfriend and she has chosen not to reveal her boyfriend

yet okay which i am completely down for i think the difficult part for morgan is going to be at some point she's going to want she's going to have a great picture with him that she's going to want to post i already do is the problem it probably slightly drives you crazy right yeah and i want to but But then there's people that are like, oh, just show us him already. And that makes me not want to show him. So I'm like in this back and forth. And you gave me the advice to keep it as private as long as I could. So I'm still kind of holding out.

Hold out. It's counterintuitive coming from me who makes everything public. But I can tell you hold out until you're just like it's exhausting holding out. If it's exhausting holding out, then it's probably time to reevaluate. But if you're good and everything's good, no need to put any added stress on there. How does he feel about it? Like, what are his thoughts? He trusts me, like, whenever I want to or whenever I'm ready.

So it's really just up to me at this point. So he's not like, I don't want to be in the spotlight at all or posted or. I mean, because some people might prefer not to be. No, I mean, he's hesitant because we've, you know, we've seen the bad side of social media. But he's open to it and trust me and how I do things. So he's fine with all of that. So now it's just really a matter of when I feel ready and ready to take on everybody and all the opinions and everything. Yeah, because it'll be a lot.

And mostly it'll be great. But we know how it goes. If you have 10,000 comments and two of them are you suck, you're ugly. Your face is stupid, Bobby. Everybody hates you. Those are the ones you focus on. It's human nature. But I went and checked his Instagram to see if he was posting along the trail.

You guys are doing a good job at not doing that. Yeah, we're keeping it private from trying to avoid that things from happening. But we do, I mean, honestly, the trip went so well. Like, him and I get along so well and it works so good that it is really hard not to want to share. And we do have really cool photos. And, I mean, it was really exciting. You know, going on a trip either makes or breaks a relationship. You learn a lot about the person.

And I thought about Caitlin's honeymoon. I was like, it's really going to make us or break us. No, that's too late. No, this is an annulment period. Okay. Right? Isn't it seven to ten? Mike, what were you saying?

Why were you squinting when Morgan was saying that? Because you were, were you trying to get something out of her? No. Okay. I know everything. Okay. A matter who it is. Oh, here we go again.

You don't need to tell me. I went to his page to see if he was posting stories as to where he was. Were you already following him? No, I don't. I don't follow. I don't follow because I don't want anyone to even follow me to go look. can see who it is. So I don't. Okay. That's all I'm going to say.

Yeah, because you know. I know. So I don't need to... Right. I'm good. Right. I've known. Mike, have you known? Yeah. How have you known? You told me. She did? Yeah. I mean, you know what? What do you guys know?

Who it is? Okay. Do you? I mean, I don't know exactly who he is, but I know things about him. But that's the... But who he is. I've never met him. I don't know what he is. looks like. Or have you. No, no, no, no, I don't think I have. Let me think Eddie. Stop.

Because of where I've been. Okay. All right. Good for you, Morgan. Oh, thank you. I appreciate it. Ramundo, what's up? What happened during vacation?

Yo, yo. Split it into three parts. I did Michigan, just for a day because my wife had surgery. So I went to Michigan, saw the nephew, like I said, he played baseball. It was so sick to actually see him in person. I was yelling. I kind of lost my voice. I was screaming with my sister.

And my dad, he's like a baseball expert. So we were, like, calling out the other team on, like, illegal stuff they were doing. And it was actually working in the, umpires were listening to us and it was it was awesome so like just to be there for a day it was so sick but then um bayser had breast surgery and she got liposuction so then we're kind of laid up for like four days then is she still going through stuff from her her cancer or breast cancer yeah so it's not like it's not cancer the cancer's been gone for three years but she has to keep getting these like not anymore we think it should be good going forward but it's these uh revisions just because

I think it's like she's missing breast tissue, so they like sag a little bit. But she got it now where I think she's super happy with it. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. Well, good for you guys. Yeah. And then,

but Garth didn't happen. Right, yeah. I mean, that was a big one because we got, we had some pretty dope seats, which ended up turning to be terrible. Which you should. Correct.

Like, no one's closer to Garth and Ray. Yeah, we should be on stage. Yeah, Ray should be doing a number with him, not Bobby Fest. Yeah, I think my ticket even said like on stage third mic or something like that. It was like a pretty kid.

Oh, by the way, Ramundo will be performing at the side stage at Bobby Fest. We have no idea what he's going to be doing. I don't even know what performing means. And we have a bunch of great performers, but Ray had asked if he could have a slide. But by the way, we're paying him handsomely. You do realize that Austin is the place where he has trouble with, right? Because he gets so drunk. Because he has friends there and he gets drunk.

So what time is this slot? But he's responsible. Like if this is a job. And it's a job. He'll do well. Yeah. It's an paying job. That's awesome.

So Saturday, September 4th at Whitewater Amphitheater in New Brombles, Texas, between Austin and San Antonio. And then on Sunday in Wichita, Kansas. And that Monday is Labor Day, so it's a holiday. So we can have a late show on it. But, you know, the main stage is me, Eddie, we're the raging idiots. Russell Dickerson, Maddie and Tay.

I was talking to Caitlin early this morning, because she woke up and I was getting up, we had him to wake up as early, obviously the last couple weeks, and I was like, I'm so ready to get back to work. so we will have him and that's mostly him emcing and helping you know get fans up to the stage to perform raging it raging idiots karaoke so we're going to have a database of all your songs that we can get um so so that's going to be one of his thoughts and then the other i actually haven't brought this idea we have up soon yet um we thought he might host some super easy trivia with with fans and attendees. But now we're thinking we may get a dunk take on the stage. A dunk take would be awesome. That's fun. So that's what we're working on. We haven't ran it by Ray just yet because we're trying to work out actually getting departments and things for the dunk tank. Yeah. But we thought that that could be really fun. We vote dunk tank. Yes.

All this makes more sense too. Poor Ray. What do you mean poor Ray? He's going to be in a dunk tank. That's great. It's going to get paid to be in a dump tank. You didn't get paid and I have to perform. I wish they would drunk tank. That's different.

Yeah, that's very different. They pay me to sit in a dunk tank. Right? So we have two things he's going to do. We'll come up with one other thing for him to do. But how long is each slot though? Like, for example, let me look here, boy named banjo. How long are they playing?

So the performers have like half hours. Okay. Cool. But with Ray, I mean, he's not going to go up there and sing. So we really wanted to have him. help and see some things with listeners. And, yeah, I thought that dunk tank would be really fun. Ray would like to do Kid Rock Cowboy, though, live.
