The Bobby Bones Post-Show Pre-Show.
Wrapped up a pretty good week of shows, I think, huh?
Yeah.
Someone just asks on text, Amity.
after the show is over, how your dad's doing?
He says, hey, how's Amy's dad doing him from Texas?
Hope he's doing better.
He's good.
I was a little frustrated with him this week.
I saw him last weekend, and he was great,
but he kind of misled me on how well he's doing.
He said he's eating like six tablespoons a day of like mashed potatoes to really work on
his swallowing.
And then we had a phone call with his caregiver this week for like an hour.
And she's like, no, he's not doing his exercises.
He's regressed.
and he's only eating like two tablespoons a day.
So he's still taking food through the...
He still has the feeding tube as his primary way of getting food,
but so now we're like all kind of supposed to text him every day
to encourage him like, encourage him.
Are you doing your exercises?
And he says it's not because he doesn't want to,
but like just it's like hard for him too.
So he's trying.
I'm like, well, you just got to stay determined, stay the course.
And I'm sure it gets frustrating at times.
But yeah.
But I mean, I saw him on Sunday.
I was like, so how much you have to eating?
He's like six tablespoons.
He's like so proud of himself.
And then he got busted.
I'm like,
he was up to six tablespoons.
Billy was the one to ask.
Oh, well, thanks, Billy.
Oh, hello. Good morning, studio.
Hey, morning.
Morning.
Hey.
I mean, I'm on cue, guys.
Yeah, you are on cue.
We were just talking about Amy's dad and Billy was want to know how your dad was doing.
And so that's, he's doing better.
Oh, well, thank you.
Yes, he is doing better.
We're just got, I mean, he literally, actually, I think his surgery was a year ago today, maybe.
So it's been a year since he's had food.
Like eight food since he's cancer.
Eight food other than the last few months where he's been taking these little tiny bites of.
And when I say he's eating the tablespoons, it takes them like a while to do it.
But that's the only thing that's going to get us to solid food again is if he has not passed a swallow test.
So he has to be able to do that.
And he can't.
Billy, anything else you'd like to know?
No, I was just wondering because, you know, we're from the same town.
So I'm no longer there, but I heard a while back that he was from Dilley and graduated from there.
Yeah, that's where I grew up.
Oh, that's such a small world. Yeah. I love Dilley.
Where do you live now?
I live in Missouri, right outside of military inflation.
Did you happen to hear the show today?
I've listened to it partly. I haven't heard the whole show. I go back and I listen to it on a podcast.
Oh, well, you're going to hear yourself today.
What part of the show did you hear?
part of the interview and the Friday morning
dance party?
What do you think about the Friday morning dance party?
You like that or no?
I'm not a big fan of it.
I mean, I like the music,
but I personally like to hear you guys talk
and go through your lives a lot more
than I like to hear the music.
So that's how come I like to go back
and listen to the podcast.
It's fair, because there is no dance party on the podcast.
What did you think about the interview?
you? The part I listened to was pretty cool. I actually liked the interview that you all did the other day. I can't remember who it was.
Was it about The Bachelor?
Oh, Aaron Watson, maybe?
Yes, yes, no. The Bachelor, the girl.
That's a good one.
What did you think, because we got, you know, different kinds of feedback on that. What did you think about her story?
I agree with you. I think they should have just split up and see where they ended up.
They had only been together four months. I understand.
and how they feel that they were in love or whatnot
or were starting to get the feels for each other.
But I think they should have walked away
and then seeing if they had something later on,
even though he was doing it as a career enhancer
or whatever you want to call it.
But I think he was a big tool for disgust, you know, when he came back.
Even if you can't say anything,
because there were some arguments like,
he came from the show, he can't say anything.
I know you can't say what happened,
but you can say, hey, we got to break up.
The show is just too much.
We can't be together.
Like you can do that.
There's no contract that you have to ghost the girl
that you were with before you left.
Also, I read another thing from Reality Steve.
I think that he was cheating on her
even when they were together before he went on the show.
Oh, yeah.
Oh, wow.
Yeah, and that just shows that he's not a very good person.
According to what I've read.
You know, what you said?
Reality Steve is he like usually on?
Yeah, mostly, right, Mike?
When you say reality is pretty good?
Yeah, and his podcast.
What did you say, Mike?
He was on his podcast.
She was, and he told her on the podcast?
Damn, he'd have to bomb on the podcast.
Oh, wow.
Dang.
Dang.
What would you do for a living?
Billy, what do you do for a living?
I've had a couple of careers.
I served 21 years in the Army.
I worked with special needs kids for two years after I graduated or retired from the Army.
And now I work for the federal government.
Well, listen, I appreciate your service for America and also for the kids.
And I don't know what you're doing now.
Are you spying on me through Alexa, be honest?
No, my daughter's name is actually Alexa, but no, I'm not.
How old's your daughter?
That's got to be a weird thing to have a kid named after the most common digital device in America.
She's 23 or 22, something like that.
I don't know.
That's a mom question, not a dad question.
But even, I bet it's even more annoying now.
Yeah, she gets very annoyed.
She gets very annoyed.
I'd probably imagine to Alex.
Yeah.
Or Siri.
No, no, there's one of those, too.
Okay.
See, Amy, that's why I like this guy over here.
He just has funny stuff sometimes.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, that's what I like it.
Siri.
I get it.
Billy.
Go to the party.
What's up?
I think my Alexa
should go to
Stevenson's party
and be Alexa
because that's her
really late.
Oh, yeah.
His Amy's son wants
Alexa to come
to her birthday party.
Billy's a hardcore listener.
Yeah, I like him.
Billy, I tell you what,
I'm going to send you a
do you want to
a sign copy
in my last book?
Oh, yeah, of course.
I've read both of them.
Okay.
I actually lucked out
when I bought him
at Barnes & Noble
because the guy didn't,
I couldn't find them on the rack.
I couldn't find the new one.
And I went and talked to him
and he said he found the box in the back.
He didn't know where they weren't out
where they weren't out
because I got it on a Monday
and your book was released on like a Wednesday.
Dang, yeah.
Black market copy.
Wow.
But listen, I appreciate you calling
and, man, you're such a fan of the show.
I appreciate that.
And I'm going to sign you a copy
and send it over to.
You don't have to read it again,
but maybe that'd be worth some to you.
I'll rack you a little note in there.
Is that cool?
I think we're having a phone issues,
but I'm going to put them on hold.
or he just got sucked up by tornado.
I hope not.
Billy, you still there, bud?
Oh, there he is.
Yeah, we're still here.
I'm going to put you on hold.
Hey, Mike D, can you make sure they get Billy?
Billy on the hotline.
What happens on our show at sometimes,
I have a text screen that all show long
I'm seeing text come in from people.
And then if I'm like, oh, that's interesting,
or they have a question that I can't answer on.
Because I don't get to reply to them.
I just see them.
We'll call them up sometimes.
That's mostly how I find the people that are upset with the show
because they text in, much like social media,
thinking they'll never hear from the
person.
Right.
And we'll call them and sometimes they come on.
Oh, man.
Let's see.
Okay, I think we're good there.
Runaway June comes in.
Someone says, it's probably going to talk about Jennifer Wayne being John Wayne's
granddaughter.
I did not.
I've done it before.
I think we've said that.
Yeah.
That's pretty cool to me.
That's true.
That is true.
Let me see what else I have here on the note sheet.
This is Friday, huh?
Yeah.
What are you doing this weekend?
Going to Wichita.
What time did you fly it?
Like one?
Oh, you got a time?
I mean, a little bit, but I got to, like, get my stuff together.
I want to see my kids because I won't see them.
I thought they were going to come with me, but we talked about it.
It's just I'm not there for very long, so plane tickets and all that add up.
So I was like, mm.
Yeah.
Y'all stay behind.
Morgan, number two, are you sore?
Yeah, I am.
Like, my whole body is sore.
I woke up this morning, and I felt like I was been hit by a train.
Yeah.
We worked out together a couple days ago.
We didn't just box.
We did like some leg stuff, which I don't like doing it anyway.
But we did lots of squats with weights and arms and stuff sore.
Yeah.
Like it's mostly like arms and my legs are like the two things that are really sore.
That's mostly your whole body though.
Arms and legs.
She's like, you know what?
It's mostly on my core of my arms, my legs, my fingers.
Nothing in my abs, though.
What's happening in there?
I need my abs to come in.
I texted this morning.
I was like, yep.
My ham's drinking my butts little sore.
She's like, yep, my whole body hurts.
So anytime you want to go, Eddie.
I see, I don't like that.
sore feeling. But you have to get to that
and through that. Yeah.
If you want to have, you know.
And my thing is like once I get started, it's like
the day two, it's like the soreness and going through
that is like tough. That's where I give up. Day two.
Day one, it's like, okay, I feel good. And the next day I'm
sore. And then I'm like, I can't work out. I'm sore. It hurts.
If it were easy, then everybody would do it.
Your soreness will go away
faster, I think, if you work out. And also, don't believe those stories
women like the dad bod.
That aren't real.
Dude, my wife says she likes it.
Yeah, because it's just
it's hers.
Yeah, he doesn't need to study.
This is hers.
Are they even talking to women?
Are they just polling guys?
Oh, no.
These are women saying this.
What's a woman's favorite body?
Let's ask 100 guys.
We're going to go a dad bodd.
I don't know a single woman who, if there's no personality attached, if there's no
loyalty attached, there's no, that would go, let me choose a healthy muscular body or
Pudgy Rodriguez.
and not that you're Pudge Rodriguez
that my Mexican friend
but Pudge Rodriguez was a catcher
Yes, for the Rangers
For the Rangers
Yeah, sure
Ivan
They would pick Pudge Rodriguez
I just don't know
to think Morgan number two
You're a woman here
What do you think?
You're going to ask what
You know her type
Her type is not dad bod
Her type's dad though
She doesn't like all her guys
She likes so much of her dad's
Yeah no I'd never choose a dad bud
Amy?
Yeah I don't think so
Right
Now people
And also let me say this
about dad bods, and just in general.
Like, if someone, if a guy is a big old dad bod, blah, he's not putting in the word.
It doesn't have to be a big old.
It's just soft and not so chiseled like you guys like.
And I include you in there, like you guys like.
Because you're right.
Anyway, don't believe those stories.
Okay.
But then another thing I don't understand too is like you work out every day.
Every day, but I try to do something five, six, seven, eight times a week.
Exactly. And then after you work out with working two, you're still sore.
Like, I thought that goes away.
Because you work new things. And you should be challenging your body that way.
If I did the same thing over and over and over and over again, my muscles would tap out in a plateau.
You're working out muscles that you didn't.
But I'm not trying to get big.
I don't even know that I'm that strong. I'm trying to just stay thin.
That's actually how I described you to someone.
What?
They're like, is Bobby, I see Bobby workout a lot.
I said, my cousin, somebody asked me.
And I said, he's not like strong.
he's just
I think his cardy
he's like he's fit
That's a good word
He's fit
He's not strong
He's not strong
Don't say I'm not strong
When I say I'm not strong I'm okay with me
When you say I'm not
When you're not wimpy
I just wouldn't classify you as like
Oh he's a strong man
He's a regular dude
But he's fit
Like he can outrun you
He can out exercise you
I did have good cardio
Yeah
Would you say I'm a strong guy Amy
Yeah
You would
He's strong
Yeah I think he's strong
I don't know. What do you classify as strong, Eddie?
Strong man, like your husband?
Oh, no, no, no. Nope.
I'm out of that one.
Yeah, he's strong.
Yeah, he's strong. He's big.
Yeah, he's strong.
Like, he flips tire tractor tires.
Oh, yeah, he's hot.
Okay.
Amy, Morgan number two, your thoughts.
How would you describe my physical fitness?
No, I definitely think you're strong.
Like, if Eddie were to come watch you box, he would be like, oh, never mind.
Like, for real.
No, he's saying he's fit.
Like, Eddie's not denying that he's fit.
No, but you haven't, like, his muscles when he's.
when he's like doing things.
Bobby's like very coming more.
Doing things like what,
Morgan's doing.
Yeah, yeah.
And say it slow.
Touching the bag and hitting the midst.
Bobby has muscles.
Thank you.
He hides them.
Thank you.
He hides them.
Oh, with his sweatshirts?
Yeah.
With his baggy sweatshirts.
My hoodies.
In my closet right now,
I have to do a hoodie cleanse.
I can't fit.
I have to any hoodies.
Pass them over.
If you want them,
you can have the whole bag of them.
Yep, I'll take it.
But then whatever you don't keep, donate.
You got it.
You know what I do when you give me clothes?
I donate my clothes.
clothes.
Great.
So I'm filling a bag now.
And because my hoodies are all, like, crunched up.
And I have good hoodies and good sweatshirts.
Yeah.
It's kind of my thing that I wear the most all the time.
I'll bring you a bag of them.
And you probably want to get rid of some shoes, too.
So just take a look at that.
You know, we're in the same size.
I have much bigger feet than you.
Ten and a half?
I'm bigger feet than you.
Okay.
I wear 11.
Oh, I can squeeze into those.
Are you getting in for socks?
Start getting ingrown toenails.
What kind of shoes do you want?
I have shoes that I'm just saying.
No, I'm just saying you look at like, I don't really.
I'm done wearing those, whatever.
Pass them over.
Interesting.
If I do go back to Idol,
because I haven't been renewed yet.
I don't think anybody has yet.
We're still waiting.
I have to do a whole new clothes by.
Don't think you're not going to see some new clothes.
That's what I'm talking about.
I know.
It's not that I like, I'm cheap.
I just don't shop for myself.
Who doesn't want awesome free new store?
Yeah.
I don't see it as cheap.
I don't go into stores.
I never shop for my clothes.
I don't shop on my size.
I don't pay for a stylist.
I don't pay for a stylist.
and she brings me clothes.
That's legit.
It's my stylist
who does all the award shows
and stuff, Kelly.
Velvet's Edge Podcast, by the way,
check it out.
Yes, okay, yes, yes, yes.
But I don't...
She gets all your clothes?
Close for that I would wear on TV.
It's awesome.
Otherwise, I just got on Instagram
I buy whatever they tell me to buy.
Right?
All those ads pop-ups.
Yeah, I'll have that.
Yes, I will.
Mike Digg gets...
You get some stuff too, huh?
Yeah.
Yeah, anyway.
All right, thank you.
You're welcome.
I don't know what for.
All the clothes and the shoes
I'm about to get.
So, about my muscles.
Oh my gosh
Morgan 2 says you're strong
Yeah
And she's strong
We're just
We're best friends
You got a friend in me
Yeah sing it
Oh
Hey are you in that
I haven't watched Torchory 3 yet
Okay so you haven't started 3
Maybe tonight
Maybe this weekend
And then once you do 3
You're gonna have to go see 4 in the theaters
I'm never watching another one
You have to go see 4
I don't know
I don't think theaters
I may go watch yesterday
This weekend
But are you going alum
No
If I go out, we'll not go alone.
Like on a date?
If I do, go, we'll be with the girl, yes.
Interesting.
Follow up.
It's not that interesting.
I just answered a question.
See, if you make it a thing.
Amy, this is what I was talking about with your kids.
If you make it a thing.
Wait, is this parenting advice?
This is just life advice.
I didn't even make it a thing.
You did interesting.
You looked at me, squinted your eyes and went, interesting.
If you just act like it's nothing, I would keep talking about it.
During the show when it comes up later.
And he whispers, follow up.
Follow up.
Follow up question.
Earlier I didn't make it a thing.
Okay.
And I didn't think about it.
Here I'm making it a thing.
Go ahead.
Who is it?
I know who it is.
Oh, you do?
Yeah.
Do you?
I'm guessing.
Maybe you do, maybe you don't on this one.
Oh, wow.
You probably do there.
Yeah.
Interesting.
Amy watched.
Interesting.
Interesting.
Amy watched the Black Mirror episode Smithereens.
Yeah.
Which I recommended for everybody to watch.
The Uber one.
Yeah.
And it turns in and not really being the Uber one?
Well, I mean, he drives for Uber.
Yeah, but that's not what it's about.
Is there another Uber one?
Did I watch the wrong one?
Oh, gosh.
No.
Okay, this is the right one.
It's about this.
Yeah, yeah.
That's what the whole message is.
Yeah.
She missed the message.
No, are you kidding?
I know the whole message.
I'm not, like I'm going to give it away.
It's a great, right?
Oh, that's a corner.
Okay, okay.
It's a great.
And what did you think of that episode?
I thought, yeah, it really makes you think.
What on earth?
It does.
Netflix, Black Mirror, and watch the episode,
the last thing is called Smithereens.
But isn't that all the episodes of Black,
This one is so practical for every day all the time.
This one could easily happen to any of us.
It has happened.
It happened probably 10 times already today to people.
What?
Yeah.
And then you think of the...
There's a big plot around it.
There's like a bunch of drama around it.
And you don't even really know what it is all the end.
But once it's over, you go, oh my God.
Yeah.
Like I should chill the F out.
That's what you end up thinking.
Really?
Yep.
Watch it.
I don't like Black Mirror.
Why?
Because it's like that.
No.
Did you think Smitherings was good?
It was great.
And like you took a message from it?
Yeah.
On a lot of levels.
Yeah.
Did you know what I started to watch?
That area 51?
I started it too.
And I fell asleep like five minutes.
Yeah.
I turned it on and I was like and that's when I went to Smithereens.
I tried.
Dude, I went five minutes.
I didn't finish it either.
But I don't think I didn't.
I didn't get bored.
I haven't had AC in five days.
And I have fans surrounding my bed.
And so I couldn't really hear the TV.
And you had to listen to that.
He just gave up.
So I just put back in the office.
Yeah, that was kind of it.
The scientists started talking and I'm like,
yeah, I was like, why'd they make this so boring?
I'll get back into it.
No, I don't know if it's boring or not.
I'll try it again.
Okay.
Speaking of science, you know Morgan number two's hero is a kind of a scientist.
Did you guys?
Sylvester Stallone?
No.
One of her, is this, would you say one of your heroes in life?
Dead heroes, like top three.
No, like when it.
Like, she means like.
Serious, dead serious.
Okay, got it.
Like literally.
Don't be so old as you.
Sorry, I don't know the lingo.
I wonder.
She got to meet one of her dead heroes.
But he's alive.
And he's kind of a scientist, right?
Yeah, he is.
And he, what's his name, do you know?
Gosh, I don't remember.
Because he introduced, like, his whole family to me, but do you want me to say who it is?
It's fine.
He's the guy who created divvindots.
Okay.
Eyes coming to the future.
Well, let's find out his name.
Where'd you meet him?
And how did, and does he wear a name tag?
Does he walk around and pushing one of those dimmed dot carts?
No, so he actually.
He actually listens to the show.
He does?
And he came up to me.
Kurt Jones?
And he...
Kurt Jones?
I think so, yeah.
Is that him?
Yeah, well, he's much older now.
He doesn't look like that.
It's some guy trying to hit on more number two.
It's some 24-year-old.
He's like, hey, baby.
You want to get a drink?
I found it Uber and I invented Dibbinduts.
Wait, how did you meet him?
So he came up to me at an event and he was like, you know, I listen to the show all the time,
and I'm a huge fan.
I guess.
So they still do Dippin' Dots, but they're doing a coffee ice cream now that they're like really promoting.
And so they were at this event.
And I was like, wait, so you started Dipping Dots?
Like, that's you?
And he was like, yeah, me and my wife, my wife let me go off and quit a job.
And I started creating this ice cream and became a whole thing.
And he would have never thought that.
But is it, you know?
I don't know.
I didn't ask.
Diff and Dots Network, Google it.
Yeah.
just normal guy
and I was like
wait what
you're the creator
of the ice cream
that I ate
all the time growing up
that's pretty cool
we were talking about
your other's muscles
and that came up
we were just texting
like how's your muscles today
and that came up
I do want to bring Ramundo
in because he's got
kind of a funny story too
he has all funny stories
hey Ramundo
come in for a second please
in the glass room
by the way
we are not in our new studio
today
we are still in Temporate studio
and we will be next week too
so suck on that egg
us
sucks
I know
Ramundo
Country Music Secret, where's my clip?
Should be upper right.
On what day? What day? Friday.
Okay.
By the way, some controversy with country music secrets before we get into this.
Ray Mundo's Country Music Secrets.
So this is the segment where he tells a secret about somebody in country music, but doesn't say who it is.
He told one months ago, and now the person won't really talk to you anymore?
Yeah, it kind of ghosted me on the text.
We were going back and forth.
We had talked about our girls hanging out and having just a good old time.
But nothing that either he changed his number.
Oops, I said it was a guy.
But anyways, or...
Are you not going to say who it is?
Can I?
I probably just should.
It doesn't matter.
Chris Lane?
Chris Lane.
Because Ramundo came out with the country meet secret that he's going to get engaged, right?
Yeah.
So I had found out beforehand and now it all came out.
He did the song for Lauren Bush now.
So the song has obviously been in the planning for months.
So that's how I found out.
I wasn't just lying.
Oh, you heard about the song being produced.
Yeah, I'm basically the reality, Steve, of country music.
Yeah.
So usually my stuff's pretty legit.
Reality Ray?
Yeah.
Yeah, so he found out a little about that and hasn't even text me back or anything.
You never said his name.
Then he put it all together or something like that because people were tagging him.
They were like, oh, I think it's Chris Lane and Warren Bush now.
And then he started thinking, oh, he's on the radio.
That frigging tag will get you.
That gets me of people.
I'll say stuff.
They tag me?
I'm like, please don't remember if you're tag.
So then I kind of wanted to bail on country music secrets, but I was like, I can't do that because I have so many of them.
So we got to keep the segment.
And how do you get your secrets?
Random people, bars.
I'm out all the time.
I'm at places that are who's who, so I see a lot of people.
What are those who's who places you would say?
The Midtown spots, and I know all the bars they go to on Broadway.
Okay.
All right.
Now time for another.
Ramundo's Country Music Secrets.
Yeah, so I'm at.
Why'd you go deep?
He's getting in character.
Okay, sorry.
So I'm at Costco with my chick, and we're just hanging out, and one of the storekeepers comes up to us and just spills the beans on the biggest secret ever.
Apparently, there's country music.
artist that is recording a music video at Costco. It's a major duo, country music duo. And this
music video is going to be a Costco music video. So I started looking around what singles do people
have out. Nobody has a single out about Costco. So get ready. In the next couple weeks, there's a duo
that is dropping a single about Costco. Can't tell you who. It is a major country duo.
Whoa.
Okay.
All right.
I mean, there were really only a few.
Dan and Shea.
Florida, Georgia Line.
Low cash.
Low cash.
Maddie and Tay.
The raging idiots.
Major?
Yeah.
Maddie and Tay.
They got nominated for CMA.
I know.
I just don't know if Ray would,
Ramundo would call them major.
But the,
I was just adding to it.
The storekeeper also said they're very, very cordial and nice.
They ended up buying a bunch of Costco for all the extras.
They shut down the store for hours and outside.
in Nashville, people weren't even able to go to Costco.
So it was kind of an uproar, but
got the music video shot, and it's in production
right now. Never been less
intrigued. Brooks and Dunn?
Oh, that's a major. Sugar Land.
Oh, yeah. Big and rich.
Oh, gosh, there's more than I thought.
Brothers Osborne.
Oh, the Judds.
Yeah, they could be coming back.
There you go. So, yeah.
All, Ramundo's
Country Music Secrets.
I got to say one of the worst ones you've ever had.
I bet you if you Google it, it'll probably come up.
Who is it?
Maddie and Tay.
Oh!
I had to make it better.
He gives it away.
That's how you make us.
I didn't have to push.
I didn't say to who is it.
You want to make a bit better?
You give the T's away.
You give it.
That's true.
That's true.
Okay, let's see.
That's funny.
I thought it was going to say, nope, it's the secret.
All right, Raymond, don't think.
Thank you.
Yeah, yeah.
How much is different that's got worth?
12 million.
12 million?
All right, Raymond we left the room.
You're gone.
All right, well.
There's nothing on Google about Costco song or music video, so.
I think that's it.
Anyone?
Anything you want to promote Amy?
No.
Nothing.
Oh, yes.
Always I should promote my podcast.
It's four things.
It's Amy Brown.
So if nothing to do this weekend, you can search that out.
Even if you do have something to do, listen to it while you had to do it.
And that's where you can find it.
I like that.
Lunchbox, you want to promote.
Yeah, sore losers' podcast with Ray and Eddie and myself.
Lunchbox, he met a Chicago Cubs legend this weekend.
Oh, yeah?
Yeah, so we're talking about on the podcast.
Today?
We talked about it a couple days ago.
I told you I met Ryan Dimster, and he was like, I'm doing comedy.
Let's do comedy.
Oh, yeah.
I don't think he said that on air, did you?
Did he?
No.
Oh, you did?
Oh, you did?
That's pretty cool.
Legend, I'm interested. Who is it? Maddie and Tay?
Nope.
Eddie, anything you'd like to say?
Not just that. That's what we do. We're passionate about it. We do it every day.
Morgan number two, anything you'd like to say?
Yeah, be nice on the internet.
Boom. She's got to look at all of our stuff all the time.
Who does?
I don't. I'm like crap. I look at my Instagram comments, and I will block you.
Will you?
Oh, in a minute.
Okay. I'm going to start doing that too, because there's some people that are just kind of getting on my nerves.
Oh, I, they didn't buy property on your Instagram feed.
Yeah, I just feel like...
They don't own it.
I feel like they could kind of...
Once I do that, they can't say whatever they want,
and I feel like I didn't want to really regulate that.
But there are just some people that keep coming over and over.
If they're just being a douche for the sake of being a douche,
but goodbye.
Okay.
It's like people in your life.
If there are people being a douche for the sake of being a douche, block them out.
It's a great black mirror episode on that.
You got seen that one?
What's that one called?
Re-eliminate people?
It's a great one.
Like physically eliminated?
Well, you don't see them anymore.
Like, they're wiped out.
It's like if you block someone from your phone, they can't call or text you.
Like, you can do that in life with people and be like, don't like you.
It's crazy.
It's a good episode, too.
Not as real as smithereens, because it hasn't happened yet.
I think that's it.
I've got to go and do a walkthrough on our new studio, which we're not going to get to be until next week.
No, two weeks, right?
Two weeks.
No.
Yeah.
Three week.
We won't be in next week.
We won't be in the week after that.
It'll be the week after that.
The week after that.
So, yeah.
So three weeks?
Yeah.
Okay, that's it.
Thank you all.
And that's the post-show pre-show.
We just turned the mics on after the show's over.
And here we go with today's show.

Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let's go.
Transmitting across America.
This is the Bobby Bolls show.
That's right.
Now, come to you.
Turn it up.
Come on, Bobby.
Hey, welcome to the Big Friday show.
Good morning, studio.
Morning.
Morning.
Let's read some amazing stories.
First, you see the guy that got abducted by the bear?
No.
Oh, this is, you bet.
The bear took a.
him and put him in a cave.
I was going to eat him later.
Oh, not to hang out with him?
Yeah, not for his buddy.
No.
Now, listen to this.
A brown bear took this dude and drug him back to his cave, put him in his den, and for a month,
the guy was stuck in the cave.
A month?
Yeah.
Because brown bears usually dragged their prey back to their layer or their cave or whatever,
and he thought that this dude was just going to be his next meal.
And so some hunters found him after their dogs refused to move past this bear.
in. The dogs were like,
burr, like, something's in there, so they went in and found
him. They checked inside. They thought it was a mummy
because he was like, all
like, like, skinny. Yeah.
Wow.
Doctors are amazed he's alive. He's alive. He was like,
this is how I survived. Plants and urine, and
they got him. Wow. I'm supposed
the beard and kill him. I know.
In the drag. You can't run
away from a beer like ever? Wait till he turns around?
They move well. Okay. You can't like
tap him on the left shoulder to run to the right.
Hey, look. That's a tough move.
I saw that one.
It's almost Fourth of July, right, next week?
Yeah.
This family's yard catches on fire from roaming candle fireworks.
Did you see this?
No.
There's a shootout between moving cars.
Oh, gosh.
And so as they're doing it, and this is in Tacoma, Washington,
two groups of people were driving around shoot roaming candles at each other
when they set someone's lawn on fire.
Here's a neighbor.
They're racing around as they were coming down.
I was hearing pops, like fireworks going off.
Guys on fire, it's scary.
It really is.
If you're driving along the road and somebody's sending out fireworks
and all of a sudden they're in your face,
you know, most people are going to panic.
You know, and that's, now you've got an accident.
So luckily everybody went out and like stomped it out.
Wow.
Be careful.
Here's the thing about fireworks.
They have fire.
And fire, once they get so big, you can't stop it.
So, yeah, be careful with that.
Yeah, just do sparklers.
Just do snakes.
You know those little things.
Yeah, a little wackos.
Yeah.
Let's go over to Stephanie.
Stephanie in Texas is on. Hey Stephanie.
Welcome.
Oh my gosh. I'm so excited.
Thank you.
Okay. Good morning, studio.
Morning.
Oh, my gosh.
Okay, so it is my birthday today.
So this was my birthday gift to myself calling into the show.
And I just wanted to say that I just finished reading both of your books.
And it took me about two.
Well, actually you read them to me because it was on Audible.
Oh, cool.
And so it took me about two days to get through them.
And right now I'm trying to get back into school.
So it was just extremely motivating and it got me really excited and really on the right track to getting back into college.
Oh, good for you.
Well, I tell you, which one did you like better?
Bare Bones, the memoir about me or fight, grind, repeat, my story for everyone and how to use their practical skills.
It's life success.
So I think the more entertaining ones.
I've never described them like that before.
Yeah, go ahead.
I think the more like entertaining, lighthearted ones.
one was bare bones.
Yeah.
But I think the one
that I found a lot more
practical use for
was definitely fight,
grind, repeat.
So it was like,
the Avengers versus Free Solo.
Like Avengers was just fun
and you're watching
a free solo,
you're like learning things,
the documentary.
Yes, absolutely.
Pick one,
and I'm going to sign one
and send it to you.
Which one would you like me to sign
and send you a free copy of?
Oh my gosh.
Could you do fight,
grind, repeat?
You got it.
I'm going to put you on hold.
I'm going to get your name.
Thank you so much.
I'm going to sign you a book
and sale it.
I'm going to sell it.
to you on a sale book.
All right.
Thank you so much.
Happy birthday.
Happy birthday.
Oh, thank you.
Hold on one second.
That's Stephanie.
She's on line three.
Yeah, fight, grind, repeat.
Check it out.
Get it on Amazon if you want to get it.
I've never described my books like that before.
No, I was like, it's a funny thing.
Okay.
But, I mean, yeah, it is a practical guide to whatever you said.
Don't know what I said.
Just spitting out words.
It's early in the morning.
Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day.
Your daughter likes Halsey, right?
Yeah.
Big Halsey fan.
She's a fan.
And so she has songs like...
And this one?
Yeah, we listen to this one a lot.
Yeah, she's growing out her armpit hair.
Hmm, interesting.
I don't hate it.
And I'm not even talking about it for me.
I'm just saying, you know, I'm a big fan of
if tradition doesn't make sense,
why do you keep doing it?
Right?
How come you guys have to shave your armpits and we don't?
It's not fair.
Why do you have to wear makeup and we don't?
Why do you have a higher standard
you have to live to and we don't?
Oh, yeah, no.
I've asked myself this question.
a lot. It's so dumb. But I still prefer
not having hair. Only because
you're taught that. Sure. And that's
what I'm used to. And that's what, and
actually, I mean, for guys, you
trim yours. Oh, I mean, Amy, I probably
have very little. I probably have like Halsey hair, armpit hair.
Like, just, but, and I, listen, I'm
not saying that I like, I like,
what's up, baby? Arm hair is high. Right, right.
You got some pity. I elbow, Eddie,
and the ribs. Check up the pit hair on her.
No one does that. That's not going to happen. But
everyone's upset it. They're like, oh, it's gross.
Well, I mean, they shouldn't be upset. Are we.
Just in a time now where we should just be accepting of what people want to do with her.
You're not hurting anybody.
She's on the cover of Rolling Stone.
People are upset because she has hair under her arms.
And it's not even like a treasure troll coming out of her armpit.
It's just like a little...
Oh, it's not long or anything?
No.
And so...
What is her reasoning?
Because she did being a human.
She says just because...
Oh, she's tired of shaving.
Yeah.
Laser hair removal works.
She can go to IDLIM.
She's Halsey.
If she wants, she can afford it.
Yeah.
All my point is with this is that I do think it's unfair that we, society, hold you women to a different sort of visual standard.
And part of that is like having to shave your armpits.
Again, don't personally, I'll not be fan of it, but I was taught not to be able.
If we were taught that longer armpit hair was hotter our whole life, we'd be like, how long is your armpit hair?
It's true.
We just know and like what we've been taught.
We've been indoctrinated that armpit hair is bad.
So it is.
Don't get me wrong.
But I'm just saying, I like it that she's doing her thing and showing other young girls live your life how you want to live it.
Yes.
That's all I want to say.
I saw it.
Did she address if she's growing out leg hair?
It's just underarm.
That wasn't part of the article that I saw.
Because that's when I am perplexed.
Because a lot of times that yoga, there will be at least one girl in there that doesn't shave her arms.
And it's like, okay, fine, whatever.
But then her legs will be silky smooth.
And I'm like, I don't get it.
Silky smooth.
And you guys write into an ideal image commercial?
Yeah, I just, I'm like, well, you think if they're not going to shave one, they wouldn't shave the other because it's part of a whole, like, feeling of being natural.
But yeah, and then I'm like, okay, why when you just take it up top?
Did you want, by the way, I'm not a fan of even body hair on me, much less anyone.
And truth be told, I have been to ideal image too, not a commercial, like from my back.
Right.
But if I wanted to grow my back hair out and braid it, you could do that.
You could.
You could.
You could.
We can't need more, but you could have.
Brae it.
And I don't have a back.
I have like the top of my back.
Got some moles cut off.
Nobody thinks you're, it's fine.
It's all right.
I did.
Back hair.
It's fine.
I went to the doctor and I was like,
we look at my moles.
I was scared.
Because I have my back is so weird.
I have fallacillitis.
I don't even have like the cool diseases.
I have like the nerdy diseases.
And I'm like, he's like, you have follicitis.
And I'm like, what's that?
It goes, your hair grows weird.
It makes like a few pimples on your back.
And I'm like, I'm like, I'm going to like nerdy.
Yeah.
So I've got moles and like, my back is just gross.
And so if I ever have to get naked, I just keep nipples the frontward.
That's it, all times.
Back against the wall.
Some people won't turn the lights on.
I just keep nipples forward all the time.
There's a comedian that's going to walk across the volcano, a daredevil comedian.
You know those, those, the rope walkers?
Tight rope walkers.
What were their names?
The Valindas.
The Valindas?
The Flying.
The flying...
Wandelaus or something?
Something like that.
Well, this is, his name is Bello Knock.
He's going to walk on a wire over an active volcano in Ethiopia.
Oh, so it's different than the guy in New York.
Yeah, and hopefully this guy's not wearing a safety harness.
I don't want anybody to fall.
I just want there to be that element of I'm watching this
because something awesome could happen when he doesn't fall.
But then he'd fall into a volcano.
Right, which is why we're watching.
And that girl...
Which is what we don't want.
And so when he doesn't do it, we're so excited.
didn't fall. But the girl had fallen what a couple
years ago and like broken all these... All the face.
Yeah. But I think they were wearing a safety harness
in the last one. They were. I had friends that were
in Times Square watching it live. And it was like crazy.
They are
going to put this wire up. He's going to walk across a volcano.
So is there something going to be funny about it since he's a comedian?
He's going to be... I mean,
he's also a daredevil. Okay.
Comedian slash daredevil. You know
how I'm like a comedian slash
radio? Yeah. Okay. It's like him
but you. But he's way cool.
He probably gets me with way more girls.
He probably didn't have back pimples.
Yeah, follicitis.
Yeah, pholicitis.
Yeah, doctor's like...
But then none of my moles were bad.
Well, it's good.
So they're cancer-free.
Sure.
Well, he's like, I've had to get four cut off.
Oh.
Mm-hmm.
And then, not recently, but all the time.
So, yeah, that's always scary.
What did I say?
We're going to do, spell the tea?
Yes.
Do we want to do it now?
Might as well.
All right.
Ladies and gentlemen, I now present to you a segment.
Hey Mike, whisper in my ear, who's spilling the tea?
Let's spill the tea.
Spilling the tea this morning will be Eddie.
Eddie?
Yes.
The tea is all yours to spill.
So a couple of weeks ago, we were working late here at the studio, and it was about
dinner time, and Morgan number one, she asked, does anybody want food?
I'm going to go to Panera bread.
So we all said, yeah, sure, here.
You get a little bit of this, get a little bit of that.
So we all Venmoed her some money, which.
we paid her back.
Lunchbox, however, his order was elaborate.
Appetizer, sandwich, soup, drink, salad.
Wow.
He came out to $20.
At Panera?
That was, yeah, Panera bread.
Do you want everything?
Pretty much.
Guys, that was two weeks ago.
He still has not yet paid her back.
And you can see the Van Moe transactions?
Yeah.
The history is there, yeah.
And so, guys, it's time.
He needs to pay her back.
Okay.
Known for not paid.
They're known for not paying people back.
Sure.
lunchbox, your tea has been spilled on you.
Ouch, out. What do you think?
Oh, it doesn't bother me at all. She never reminded me to pay her back.
I don't have Venmo, so I haven't had cash on me, so I haven't been able to pay her back.
That's it. She never reminded it. She brought it that day and hasn't said anything since, so I totally forgot about it.
CFB invoice to pay that? All she has to say, hey, you know.
Hold on Morgan. Bring it in Morgan number one.
Invoys.
She's buying food, and now he wants to see. Morgan number one.
The last day on the show is next week. She's moving over it. Also, she tipped on that, and she expects me to
pay for the tip, which isn't happening.
What?
Of course you should tip.
There she is.
There she is.
No, hold on.
Let Morgan number one talk.
Go ahead, Morgan,
to run.
I reminded him multiple times the first week that he owed me.
And then I just haven't brought it up anymore because I thought he's,
yeah, it's awkward now and I didn't think he was going to pay me.
And I tip them $1.
But you tip.
I didn't tip.
Then pay me the 16 and 17.
Thank you.
There you go.
Now we're even.
No, but you didn't pay her.
You just said thank you.
He goes, now we're even, but he didn't pay her.
So your excuses have been she hasn't reminded you.
Yeah, and I don't have Venmo.
But she has reminded you.
But she has.
And then two, you can pay her cash.
Yeah, I just haven't had cash.
For how long?
For like a week and a half.
Does that work with a bill?
Like the water bill comes?
You're like, I don't get cash.
Right.
No, because you don't pay the water bill.
You can write a check for that.
She doesn't want to check.
Okay, at the grocery store.
Yeah.
You'd be like, I said, I just don't have money right now.
I know, I got some broccoli and tortillas here, but I don't get cash.
No, you can pay check at the grocery store.
We write her a check?
Probably takes a check, Morgan.
I don't think she wants to go to the bank.
I'll take anything at this point.
Just payment, you know?
No problem.
I didn't mean this.
It is a problem.
You can't yell no problem when there's a problem.
And like in the hierarchy of the show, like you make, like she's, you make so much more money than her.
That's a good point.
Yeah.
But that wasn't cash delivered to me.
That's a check.
Go ahead.
Lunchbox.
Yeah, I mean, great.
I owe her, cool.
I'll pay her.
Like I said, when I get cash, I'll pay her.
Okay, how about you go get cash to pay her?
Yeah, yeah.
If I go to an ATM, I will.
If, like, you owe someone, you should stamp out the debt as soon as you can.
Yeah.
Yeah.
That's my bad.
I mean, what do you want me to say?
I hadn't paid her.
Like, it's not a big deal.
Are you going to pay her before Monday?
Oh, probably, I'm not going to see her over the weekend, so probably not.
Okay.
Will you pay her next week?
It's her last week on the show.
Yeah, then I'll probably pay her next week.
Last time I'm going to see her, so.
No, it won't be the last time you see her.
But, okay, there we go.
Eddie, glad you brought this up.
I mean, gosh, I didn't mean to get them all riled up.
You did, you didn't get anybody riled up.
And why don't you want to, like, chip in a quarter for the tip?
No, no, because I don't tip on to go.
If you decide to tip, that's on you.
Like, I didn't tip that person.
Like, you decided they deserved a tip.
I didn't.
Oh, because it was to go pick up?
Yeah.
She just ordered it at the counter to the hand in her bag.
It's just a character thing.
You could give somebody a tip of a dollar who packaged it nicely, even if they did nothing.
Even if they threw a fork in there.
Even if they just looked at it.
Think about how much a dollar would help.
That means you could tip everybody in this world.
Absolutely.
I believe if you can, you should.
So you tip every person you run into.
Anytime I can tip somebody, if I can, I have it, I do.
I absolutely do.
I would lived on tips.
I had jobs where I lived on tips.
Someone opens the door for you.
Give them a tip.
Because you can.
You got a dollar in your pocket.
Give them a dollar.
right?
That's not their job.
That's not their job.
At nice hotels, yeah, you can do.
At hotels, if they grab your bags,
and oh, yes, yes.
You do, slide them a dog.
That's exactly it.
Yes, thank you for reminding me.
Yeah, okay.
I mean, when I go through the drive-thru somewhere,
I'm not tipping anybody.
Okay, there you go.
Eddie, thank you for spilling tea.
All right, you're welcome.
A lot of character has been revealed here.
Man.
That was, let's spill the tea.
Oh, boy.
Let's go over and talk to.
Hey, are you there?
I'm here.
Hey, Jeline.
Thank you for calling.
on the show here on Friday. Appreciate that. What do you want to say?
Well, I texted
in. I was wondering if
Lunchbox was jealous that your
Get Up videos gone viral. Oh, millions
of views. Over 3 million views on Facebook.
Oh, wow. A couple million other
players. Yeah, the video and the Get Up.
I forget. You know what?
I'm kind of excited about that.
For me, it's a first multi-million
video. Yeah, that's our biggest video.
Right. It's a big deal. And Lunchbox
has lived for this moment.
Lunchbox's your thoughts?
No, it hasn't been featured on TV shows. That's not viral.
Like people aren't talking about it on e-news.
Just because a lot of people see it. It's not viral.
I think that's what viral is. A lot of people see it.
No, viral is what people are the definition of viral.
I think that's...
Go ahead.
I noticed yesterday when you were talking about...
I listened to the podcast, but I noticed yesterday when you were talking about the millions of views,
lunchbox had nothing to say.
So I was thinking maybe there's a little bit of jealousy.
I think Lunchbox wants to be...
I had no intention of being viral on the video.
I just having a good time.
I think that's the key to being viral.
Not caring about being viral.
Yeah, same with viruses.
It's the key to getting on it.
Not caring.
Maybe lunchbox needs to stop trying so hard.
Lunchbox can you try less?
No.
I mean, I'm going to keep trying.
I'm going to make it one day.
Thank you for the call.
I'm just watching the videos.
You keep going, LB.
Encouragement.
She gave you.
Thank you.
And whenever I make videos, you need to share with all your friends because I need the views.
All right.
All right.
All right.
All right, bye-bye.
We'll hit you with some lunchbox positivity coming up in a second.
A chick-fil-A workers working the drive-thru

In other news, they continue to search for the missing Utah student, McKenzie. She disappeared after taking a lift home from the airport.

And finally, in sports, the Women's World Cup,
the U.S. soccer team plays France today in the quarterfinals game.
It gets underway at 2 Central.
Braden, what's happening, bud?
Bobby, what's going on, man?
Early in the morning, you know, doing the show,
hopefully we're being a little entertaining.
What can I do for you?
Yeah, yeah.
Well, I'm sitting there going through my feet,
and I see that they're going to take the office off Netflix.
I know.
That's the only thing you can be a lot.
Dude, I'm telling you.
And by the way, Braden brings up a good point.
Netflix is cool and they got a lot of shows.
But the number one stream show on Netflix is the office.
And they're pulling off in like 13 months now or 15 months, something like that,
like a year, less than a year and a half.
Yeah.
Yeah.
They're taking the office off on Netflix.
And you watch that every day.
Every day.
What you think about that, Braden?
Well, I tell you what's going to happen.
They're going to get such a backlash that they're going to keep it on.
Oh, they can't.
Because NBC who owns the.
office is taking the office. That's why they're doing it. Yeah. I got you. I got you.
Which, you know, great for NBC, because I'll probably have to go sign up for NBC Universal.
Right. That's because that's starting up. That's what's happening. Everyone's getting their own
streaming. Yeah. So wait, do you watch the office, Braden? Oh, man, religiously.
Me too. Why do you think that it's as good now as it was then to us? Because it's the only show in my
entire life, Sands friends, but still more than friends, that I can watch over and over again.
Braden, why you love The Office so much? Because people can relate. People, they're, you're going to
go into an office, and I've got friends, believe it or not, like Michael Scott. And you can,
and you can relate to those guys. Yeah, it's funny how I just love it. I can watch every episode,
I can just start it over. I've seen every episode probably 12 times. Everybody has a Michael Scott
friend, right? Yeah. Like a Michael Scott or a Buzz Light Year.
Yes.
You know what I mean?
Exactly.
And if you're new and you haven't watched the office yet,
it really starts to get good about a third of the way through season two.
Like you're just kind of feeling your way through season one going,
I don't know if I get it, and then season two hits,
and you're like, I'm totally in.
You have nine seasons.
It's fantastic.
Braden, I appreciate that call, boy.
Hey, good listening to y'all.
Big fan.
Thanks, man.
And, yeah, thanks for hitting us up.
All right, there's that.
A toddler gets stuck inside of a claw machine while trying to reach the Pikachu Daws.
Oh, man.
Yeah?
Think about that.
Young girl ends up inside the machine.
I mean, I see how it could happen.
You're a kid, there's a hole.
You want what's in there.
Yeah, go in the hole and get it.
Police respond to the scene in comfort of the toddler while a key for the machine.
Oh, that would be a thing, like trying to keep the kid.
Calm, yeah, relax through the glass.
Everybody good?
Did you all ever get stuck anywhere as a kid?
Yeah.
I got my head stuck through like a stairwell.
Oh.
Oh, the bars?
Yeah.
Oh, man.
Oh.
That's scary.
Yeah, we went over to my principal's house, like 25 kids when I was young.
To some little a sudden I stuck my head through and I couldn't get it out.
So I was like the smart kid who was being rewarded for being smart and who got my head stuck in the stupid stairwell.
You get stuck anywhere?
Well, my parents had a jacuzzi bathtub and I was bathing in there once.
I mean, and the suction thing was broken and it sucked up my butt and I got suction to the side.
My dad had to like drain it and like remove me.
It hurt really bad, and I was left at this huge purple ring on my butt.
Purple ring, purple ring.
But, yeah, so I was like stuck in the tub.
Sounds how high throw up.
Hey there.
Yes.
Yeah, what's your name?
Rachel.
Hey, Rachel, what do you want to say?
It's Bobby, Amy, Eddie, lunchbox.
We're all here.
Hi, guys.
I know earlier in the year, Eddie had some credit card debt that he was going to try to pay off.
I was just curious how that was going.
Our video producer, Eddie, deep in debt.
It's a first.
Deep.
Deep, deep, deep, deep, deep.
How deep, deep, deep, deep.
How deep at the first of the year?
20.
20K.
And that's to clear at all, bones.
Like, that's it.
Once this is done, we're done with debt.
House?
I know, other than mortgage and stuff like that.
Like, mortgage is like healthy debt.
What about car payment?
Because I still have that.
Yeah.
Oh, you're not counting that either.
Nope.
Oh, boy.
This is just credit card debt.
Oh, God.
Yeah.
Okay.
So 20K and credit card debt at the beginning of the year.
Yes.
and I told my wife and I, we decided that we would do
17 to 1,800 a month that we put aside and we,
if that added up by the end of the year, I mean, we're really there.
So where are you, today is Friday, June 28th?
Yeah, we're almost July.
Dude, we're halfway there.
Wow.
Yes.
That's awesome.
We are halfway there.
Have you been cutting back on a lot of things?
No.
No, just kind of, instead of just spending the money,
the extra money that I get of different things that we do, I just put it straight to there.
So what do you think you are right now on credit card debt?
About 10.
Look at you.
Yeah.
I know.
What has been the inspiring factor?
What is motivating you?
What was it that clicked when we got to get this right?
Well, I just felt like I couldn't make money.
Like, I felt like I was always just catching up and not like, I want to start making money,
like, you know, to do something else.
I don't know, to like just get a new job?
No.
No, no, no.
But just to like, you know, expand in my career as a dad.
I feel like a dad, I'm a provider, and I feel like all I do is just catch up.
So what do you, because again, you did this real life.
Yes.
There's no trick.
Nope.
You're not a millionaire.
There's nothing crazy going on here financially.
So what's the tip that you give people that are listening right now that are going
through what you did?
I think just buckle down.
You've got to make that mental decision of just like, we're going to do this.
Yes, we're going to do it.
And then there's no two ways about it.
Just do it.
That's what Dave Ramsey said.
Like trim the face.
and take that fat and pay it toward them.
Yes.
But it's hard because I do believe in quality of life.
Like, you know, because I don't really believe in like, oh, cut out fun just to pay off your debt.
So that's kind of hard.
That's a hard thing for me to kind of deal with.
But for the most part, I'm putting it all to debt.
Well, there you go.
There's your up day.
How you feel about that?
That's awesome.
I'm really happy for them.
Yeah, me too.
I think that's pretty inspiring to people to hear that too.
Because, again, Eddie was $20,000 in credit card debt at the beginning of the year.
Guys, it was 40, like, three years ago.
Really?
Yeah.
Yeah, it's been brutal.
That's why I mean catching up is not good.
There you. Hey, thank you for the call.
Thank you.
All right, see you later.

Bobby Bones show.
Bonehead.
Story of the day.
This story comes with us from Vancouver, Canada.
A man bought his dream car, a 2019 McLaren cost $200,000.
And he's like, man, I got the bad boy off the lot.
Let's test it out.
Floors it, going 100 miles an hour to 55 mile of his own.
Wow.
Woo, woo, gets pulled over, had the car 10 minutes, gets a $400 ticket,
and impound it for seven days for unsafe driving.
Wow.
Because the $400 ticket, you go, who cares, you got a bunch of money?
The impounding, when you just get the car, you know he had to be like,
officer, please, please, please, please, please.
You know when you have to break down and finally just go, oh, man, that stinks.
I'm lunchboxed.
That's your bonehead story of the day.
That's like, that's a lot.
It's a lot, lot.
I'd be scared to drive something that fast I'd spend that much money on.
Yeah.
Well, there you go.

Hey, Jimmy's on.
Jimmy, what's up, bud?
Hey, what's going on, Bobby?
I'm glad you're on.
What would you like to say this morning?
I was just calling in.
I know often you ask listeners if there's particular segments of the show that they don't
particularly care for.
Yeah.
And you don't give a lot of a lot of.
responses on that, but I got one for you.
Love it. Love it. Go ahead.
And it's nothing against Morgan number two,
and love her to death. I think she's great.
But I think the 30-second skinny is something that we might need to
try to revamp in a sense to where,
instead of it being geared towards celebrities that a lot of us
listeners don't really even care about,
I think we'd be more interested in hearing things about your guys'
personal life. You know, either you Bobby, Amy.
Isn't that the whole rest of the show, Jimmy? That's what we do all the show long, yeah.
I feel like that's the other. You just want it in 30 seconds.
Yeah. He wants to. Listen, I get it. The 30 second skinny isn't for everyone, but I don't think
it's for Jimmy. Jimmy, I'm assuming you're about 30 years old, male about 30 years old?
Just turned 40. Okay. Oh, look at you. You got a young sounding voice there, my friend.
Yeah. You know, I don't know that the 30 second skinny is made for you specifically anyway.
but I do think that's a funny idea.
No, and I'm not saying it's something.
I'm thinking more like along the lines of the investigative corner
where it's maybe just once a week or something.
Like hearing a story whether lunchbox started soccer
and he's a captain.
Did he come home and did he do the laundry like he was supposed to for his teammate?
Like, I want to know that.
You know, actually, it's actually a pretty funny idea.
Okay, okay.
I do enjoy, like once a week, Morgan, you should do the weekly recap and just find one five or six second story, maybe eight seconds, about all of us and just put it in a pot, in a thing.
Let's go to Morgan.
It's up to you to, like, hit us all up about, you got to like, hey, whatever, and then you update.
All right.
I'll do that.
Jimmy, I love it.
Like I said, I love putting people on who maybe don't have the greatest things to say because we can get better from this.
conversation. I think we just came up with the great segment.
And that's such a little segment.
I know it's a little bit of a filler and whatnot.
And, you know, I'm a truck driver.
I listen to five hours a day.
See you guys.
I love the show.
Thank you.
Well, I love your call.
We're about to do this.
Let's see.
Let's see.
So next week we're going to do this.
Okay?
All right.
Like Monday.
Monday.
We'll do it, Jim.
We probably won't do it in that same exact spot, but we will do it on Monday show.
Okay, Jimmy?
Awesome.
I'll be listening.
Any name for it you want to give it.
Like the what, the 60 second, the catch up.
Now you're putting me on the spot.
I'll let you figure that one out, Bob.
I am in the Radio Hall of Fame that, you know, guys.
All right, Jimmy, thank you.

Now, I love country music.
I love the history of country music,
which is somehow how I got the nickname.
Country Music's youngest historian.
That's right.
The Bobby Bones Show.
On this day in country music.
Today, the year is 2000.
Is it a good one?
Yeah, it's good because you're like, wow,
it's been 19 years since this was the number one song.
Leanne Womack had the number one country song
Where I Hope You Dance.
It spent five weeks at number one.
It was Leanne Womack's first and only number one song.
It was also a crossover hit hit in number one on Hot A.C.
She won a Grammy for Best Country Song.
And the music video features Leanne Womack's nine-year-old daughter,
who I'm friends with, Aubrey Sellers,
who's also an fantastic artist.
But it's the number one song.
By the way, here's Aubrey Sellers.
Sounds like Leanne a little bit
Yeah, she does.
Like your guitar.
On this day,
2000, this was your number one song.
That was.
On this day in country music.
The Bible show.
Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Fun fact Friday.
Oh, yeah, but I love it.
All right, let's keep you on until they're not fun anymore.
All right.
Mick Jagger has a great grandchild who's older than his youngest child.
Wow.
His great grandchild was born.
born in 2014 and his youngest child was born in 2016.
That's so fun.
That's awesome.
Good for him.
All the guys are like, hey.
Hey, not hating on the dude.
And all the girls are like, hmm.
All right, what else, Amy?
So, Stephen Spielberg, he turned down an offer to direct the first Harry Potter movie because
he thought it wouldn't be challenging enough.
And that he also thought it should have been animated.
So he didn't want any part of it.
I think, though, just looking at the overall picture.
Steven Spielberg's done a good job
made a lot of great decisions
and you can't hate on him for just that one
Yeah
Because he's made good movies
A lot
The greatest director of our time
It's not like he turned down this movie
And then didn't do anything else after that
He didn't do Freddie got fingered
Yeah true true
And you know
All right yeah what else
So Fourth of July is coming up
And this is interesting
About our three of our first five presidents
John Adams
Thomas Jefferson and James Monroe
All died on the
4th of July. Really? Yeah, different
years, obviously. But
yeah. Oh, but get this. John
Adams and Thomas Jefferson, they both died on
the same day, July 4th, 1826.
But then James Monroe,
died July 4th, 1831.
That's crazy that three of them died on July 4th.
Firework accidents? Oh, that's true. Roman
Candle. Yeah, like earlier.
Like shooting bottlewikes from their hands.
Somebody looked that up. You shouldn't do that.
Normally, I would say that's not very fun, but I had fun
with that. So what else was going to get? Give me another one.
Okay.
Well, at 23, Merrill Streep, she slept through a law exam,
and she straight up took that as a sign that the career path wasn't for her,
and that's why she went into acting.
Wow.
She was going to be a lawyer.
Again, made a good choice.
And I think America's finest actor, her and Tom Hanks.
Oh, good one.
Oh, not Keanu?
I don't think he's the best actor.
I think he's America's most beloved actor.
By the way, everybody that's jumping on the Keanu train now,
I've been living on this thing for years.
Before Keanu became Mr. Lovable, who was here preaching about Keanu's their favorite actor?
Yeah, you were.
I love the guy.
Thank you very much.
Give me one more fun fact.
One more.
I'm almost tapped out of fun.
Go ahead.
Okay.
So I know why oranges are sold in red net bags.
You know when you're at the store and you're buying a bag of oranges, it's always in a red net bag.
Go ahead.
It's because that makes the orange color look brighter.
So even if they're dull when it's up.
against red. You're like, oh, look at these bright oranges.
I'm going to buy them. That's why I stand next to
Raymundo, because I look huge.
I'm like, let's take a bunch of pictures, Ramundo.
So it's trickery.
Yeah. I tell you.
Amy, give me your second story.
Okay, second story is that America
still loves chick fillet more than
any other fast food chain. Yeah, I did see
where it was voted number one. Yeah, it's for the
fourth year in a row. They've topped
the American Consumer Satisfaction
Index. So I think
it's probably because, yeah, their food is great, but they're
also just so friendly and that goes a long way.
Service is so huge.
It's really good and some people go, I don't get it.
People talk how good it is.
It's also based on how much it costs.
Like, okay, it's not Ruth's Chris.
Yeah, yeah, it's not super expensive.
But you're not going in and paying $80,000 or something.
It's very reasonably priced and really good and the service is good.
Yep.
So, yeah, what else you got, Amy?
Okay, and lastly, a study is found that like boys growing up eating a bunch of junk food.
and process things like chips and snacks and pizzas and stuff,
that's like killing off sperm-producing cells that can't ever be replaced.
So there's irreversible damage happening to men's fertility up until they're 18,
and you can't get it back.
I'm going to tell you this.
With all the bologna sandwiches, Mountain Dew and ramen noodles I had from about 14 to 25,
I got no swimmers left down there in the pool.
Well, it could be playing a factor.
I'm just saying, like, men's fertility.
Oh, there's no factor playing.
I mean, obviously for Mick Jagger, it's fine.
Yeah, Mick Jaggers had no potted meat at all.
He wasn't even.
But, I mean, it makes me think this study specifically about men,
but even for women as we're growing up, like maybe when our bodies are developing,
depending on what we're putting in it.
And there's so many fertility issues these days.
And it's like, oh.
We're going to look back in 100 years.
We aren't.
Our next generation, if we're alive still, if Earth is still here.
In 100 years, we're going to go, how crazy were we were just eating all this sugar
and putting all this processed food in our body?
Like, this was a nutty time for human.
I think eventually we'll make a full circle moment where it goes back to, like, yes, you just eat what you can grow.
Because that's, right now we have so many options.
It's like convenience.
Like, why would we do that?
It's not what we're used to.
Doritos.
Oh, I thought I'd say that.
I was thinking it.
So good.
All right.
Okay.
Yeah, I'm Amy.
That's my pile, I guess.
I guess.
It's a good pile.
My last thing, but I just have one more thought on that.
It was just that I know that it's hard, but maybe try to work in some whole foods into your diet.
The problem is expensive sometimes.
I just said try to work in some whole foods.
And Doritos are so good.
And Doritos.
Okay.
Okay.
Yes.
And punyans?
Chitos.
And punyons have vegetables.
You're telling me a bag of Doritos.
Yeah, I'm in.
Yeah, yeah.
There you go.
Yes, I'm telling you that.
You can buy an apple.
Stop it.
Or plant an apple tree.
I've tried to buy an apple with Doritos and no one ever left me.
I'm like, I give you four Doritos for that apple.
I'll trade you.
I'll trade you.
It doesn't work.
Yeah.

Tell me something good.
So there's this little boy, Oliver.
He's seven years old, lives in Kansas.
And in his free time, he dresses up as a police officer.
And his mom says that he kind of actually believes he's a real police officer.
So that makes this even more cute.
And he visits nursing homes and goes around giving.
elderly people flowers and hugs.
Oh, good.
He's like the nursing home police officer
that's there to just brighten their day.
And he's only seven.
Protect and serve.
Flowers.
He goes twice a week to do this.
That's good.
Good for him.
That's what's the whole segment's about.
I mean, if he's 27.
What if he's 25?
If Eddie throws on a police uniform and goes to start hugging people.
I don't know.
I forgot about the police uniform.
If you can go and just hug people,
go put on me.
Yeah, yeah.
All right, funny.

That's your skinny.
Folks, it's your buddy and mine.
Mr. Bobby Bones.
Let me go.
Over to Amy, you've got the Morning Corny right now.
The Morning Corny!
So I thought about going on an all-cashu diet.
Oh, yeah? What's up?
Yeah, but, I mean, that just seems a little nuts.
Get it.
You're nuts.
Cushies nuts.
That was the morning corny.
Hey, Tracy and New York, what's happening?
Good morning.
Good morning. How are you?
good. What do you want to say? Great. Well, I was just interested to find out if you've gotten a new
dog or gotten a line on a new dog because I run a dog rescue in Binghamton, New York, and we take in
hospice patients' dogs and find them new home. Oh, wow, look at you. First of all, that's,
amazing. Yeah, that's great what you do. I will get a new dog very soon. I will, like, my heart's
going, get a dog. And I do have a friend that was like, well, we had puppies. We don't have
home for one of them. So it's kind of like, oh, like I feel it, Tracy, I feel it in my heart, you know?
Right. So I don't, I don't want to say yes right now, but I definitely don't want to say no.
But I will get a dog. Before the summer's over, I will have a dog.
That's good. Yeah, I feel like I need the dog. Yeah, it'll be good. And you know what?
I was always thinking, whatever I do, I'm not going to let this dog back in the bed. If I get another dog, he'll be back in the bed.
I know it. Why don't you just get a little doggy bed to keep by your bed?
Yeah, but...
Because you don't get good sleep
already, so then when you have the dog, like, kicking you.
But if it's like a great day, I can just put a wig on it.
And then you do have a goal of getting, like, a girlfriend this year, too.
Yeah.
Oh, is that funny, Tracy?
And husband has his own bed because my service dog sleeps in the bed with me.
Is that right?
Her husband sleeps in a completely different bed.
I love their relationship.
Wow.
Yeah.
Same room.
Tracy, thank you for the call.
I will be getting...
Same room, different bed.
Like the monster.
That's amazing.
Yeah.
Tracy, thank you for the call.
I will be getting a dog this summer for sure at some point.
Maybe sooner than later.
Great.
All right.
Have a good day.
Thank you for calling.
You too.
All right, bye-bye.
Marina and Florida.
Hey, Bobby, and everyone else.
Hey.
Hey.
So my question was that my kids...
Hold on.
I think what you do is you call and you go,
Morning Studio and then everybody yells back.
So try that, Marina.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
Morning.
So our question was, we know that you guys are getting a new studio tomorrow
and we wanted to know what you guys would miss the most about the old studio.
Oh, well, okay.
So here's the deal.
We're supposed to be in a new one today, actually.
And we're not.
We've been delayed a week.
And we're in a temporary studio right now.
We're not even in our old studio.
But soon enough, you'll be able to watch a whole lot of the show,
which will be exciting for us.
Missed out the old studio?
Well, nothing.
Yep, nothing.
Nothing, actually.
Thank you, Marina.
Everybody listening, when you call off, you want the studio to yell,
you go more in studio.
Right.
Marina, do it again.
Go.
Morning studio.
Morning.
Right?
Is that how we do it in the morning?
Yeah.
Okay, cool.
All right.
Thank you, Marina.
Have a good day.
Here are the things that if you buy, it gives you a rush.
All right.
Number eight, concert tickets.
Yeah, that's exciting.
It is, and it's a calendar or two, meaning you get to put on your calendar and look forward to it for a long time.
Number seven, a movie or a TV series.
Like if you, I'm assuming if you, like, download.
It's, but everything for me is on, it's Netflix or Hulu or Amazon now.
Although I'm thinking about going to watch that movie yesterday.
Oh, yeah, the Beatles one.
Mm-hmm, tonight.
Where no one knows the Beatles with that, dude.
We'll get back to that.
Yeah, let's do.
Vacations at number six.
Groceries at number five.
Oh, yeah, I was going to say food.
Yeah, groceries is because you're like, oh, I can't wait, this is going to be good.
Yeah.
Let me tell you what I made pretty recently, because I saw it online, and it was the, I can only make really easy things.
Bananas, like slices of bananas with almond butter and you wrap them in a little thing of tortilla.
Okay.
Pretty good.
That does sound good.
And not terrible for you.
Like a healthiest snack.
Number four, jewelry.
Yeah.
That's a big, that's a tough one.
Number three, electronics.
I love it.
Love getting something electronic.
Usually takes a minute for me to figure it out.
But I love, like a new, when you get into that new iPhone, you're just like, I can't wait.
And you open it and you peel that plastic off, you're like, oh.
That doesn't do it for me.
Really?
Yeah.
This iPhone right here, I bought it.
When I first got this new iPhone, I bought it.
It technology, it overwhelmed me because then I have to, like, set it up or do new stuff with it.
And so brand new one sat in the drawer for like a month before I pulled it out because it just, it, ugh.
Like, the same thing.
Software updates.
Does that give you the feels?
No, I don't do that. No.
Okay, me neither.
No, I don't hit update now and go like, oh, yeah.
That's it.
I've been waiting for this.
Oh, finally, it's offering me the update.
Yeah, like, I stay away from that, and it's so, I don't know why.
It's like try tomorrow, try it later, or try it now.
At number two, shoes.
Yes, that's it.
Me too, love shoes.
Love it.
My favorite thing.
Number one, clothes.
And that's the, this is the purchases that make us happy and gives us a rush of like half an hour.
The clothes and shoes is no joke.
Yeah.
You like my shoes today?
This is the one that had on yesterday, the new ones.
Yeah.
That's cool, huh?
They're cute, yeah.
Thank you.
It's all I want is I just want recognition.
They're cute.
I was talking about that movie yesterday, about the Beatles.
Apparently this guy, he's a struggling musician.
He's looking for his big break.
There's a freak power outage, and the world is in darkness, right?
And so this is the plot of that movie.
Jack gets hit by bus and wakes up miraculously, alive.
He soon realizes that he's the only person in the world, seemingly,
who can remember the Beatles.
He realizes he's living in a world where the Beatles never existed.
But for him they did.
And so then he's left with a conundra of what does he do.
So then he puts out all the Beatles songs?
Yes. And claims him as his own.
Yeah. Ed Sheeran's in it.
I think the great thing about it is you can tell them in 14 seconds
what the film's about and they're instantly interested.
You just say, oh, someone gets hit in the head, uh,
sit in the head and wakes up and the Beatles never existed.
So he becomes the biggest artist in the world singing Beatles songs.
And they're like, that sounds like a great concept for a film.
I think it's going to be really good.
So it's called Yesterday.
I think I may go tonight to watch this.
Yesterday.
It's getting 61% on Rotten Tomatoes.
That's not good.
It's weird. It's not great, but it's not terrible.
I bet it's like, what do you say, niche-out?
Like, I think music nerds are going to love this movie.
But everybody likes the Beatles in a chair?
You're right.
I may try to go watch this tonight.
Well, then we'll know.
Once you get your review, we'll know.
Yeah, because isn't it only one review that matters?
Yeah.

Dog, ate five pounds of rocks.
Oh, that's a lot.
And then didn't have to have surgery.
He was able to pass all the rocks.
That's amazing.
That's a lot of.
Passing.
Yeah.
Yeah, here you go.
He just ate him up, and they started coming out the rear end.
Bags like this.
His stomach was full.
His intestines were full.
They were all throughout.
It's cool to see an x-ray like that, but at the same time as when it's your dog, it's
a little scary.
Those were big rocks.
Are they tasty?
I probably had stomach problem, like his stomach was hurting.
Oh, yeah, like how they eat grass.
It turns out they've been barbecuing.
Oh.
And they poured the juices on the rocks.
So they tasted good.
Wow.
She took the dog to the vet,
was able to pass the rock without surgery.
Someone called me earlier up here,
and I was asking about me and a dog.
I feel good.
I said before summer's over,
I'll have a new dog.
If you're new to the show,
I had a dog for 15 years.
And a little over a year ago,
he died.
It was like my best friend.
And I just felt,
and I still a bit felt like I'm cheating on him.
Just a bit.
Yeah, it's hard.
But I can't hold on to that
forever.
Do feel like sooner than later it will be happening.
When you got a new dog, do you feel that way?
I didn't feel like cheating.
It's just taken a while for the dog to get to Josie status, which is my old dog.
Kara, the new dog.
She's not there yet.
She's getting there.
I just kind of like, eh, about her.
But I also have kids now.
Yeah, it's different.
I mean, we love her, and I love that my son is obsessed with her, and she's great for our family.
But it's just like, God, you're not giving me all the feels and
comfort that Josie gave me.
Yeah, you got that dog at a different point in your life.
You had room for those feels.
Right. But as I see my kids bond with her, that's helping.
And my husband's starting to, she's inching her way into his heart.
So it just takes more time, I think, because you just compare.
You constantly compare.
Well.
That's what you'll do.
I don't think so.
You know, you let it go?
You're just going to feel like you're cheating.
Yep.
I'm not going to compare.
It's going to be like, well, this is different.
Okay.
So, yeah, I'm on.
I'm on. I'm in, I'm on the market. In many ways, for a dog, for a companion.
Yeah.
I got to go on. I have, you know, we have vacation coming up in July for, like, our summer vacation.
I don't have anything, no, I have zero plans.
So I got to find out again, what am I going to do alone?
No, no, want-w-w-womp, but I just, what's fun to do alone?
Why don't you find someone to do something with?
Do you know how, that you have to commit to going for a couple days with someone that you don't know super well?
Yeah.
For me, that's tough.
And I'm not want to wamp-wapping.
I just got to figure it out.
I don't want to sit at the house for a moment.
You've come to Colorado.
With you guys?
Yep.
You and the dog, you don't even like that much?
No, but I guess you could.
No, she's staying behind.
The girl that takes care of Amy's kids is named Kara.
Yes.
But the dog is named Kara.
Uh-huh.
Doesn't get confusing at all.
So, how are the kids good?
They're doing good.
Yeah, has your son after the few days of...
Oh, so yesterday we had to have a talk, but it was like he changed his attitude right away.
I threatened the pen and paper.
Is he still saying, yes, ma'am?
Yeah, he's still saying it, but he struggled with it.
It's almost like he thought, like he was hesitant to say it for some reason.
And I said, do I need to go get the pen and paper?
And then he goes, okay, yes, ma'am.
Like, I mean, to whatever I was asking him before.
So that pin and paper puts a fear into him.
He just doesn't want to write, huh?
It doesn't.
It's time for the good news.
With lunchbox.
Tell me something good.
Logan Simmons is working the drive-thru at Chick-fil-A in Georgia.
You know, come on, Chick-fil-A, get some nuggets.
A mom and her kid pull up to the drive-thru window
until he looks in the back seat,
and the kid has got his head wrapped around the seatbelt is choking.
Oh, gosh.
Logan jumps out of the drive-thru window, gets in the car,
pulls out his pocket knife, and slices the seatbelt.
That's crazy.
Wow.
Yeah.
That's good.
And she said, thank you, and he said, my pleasure.
My pleasure.
There you go.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
That's all about.
That really happened.
No, my pleasure, he might think I know.
But the story happened, right?
Yeah.
The Friday morning conversation with
Runaway June.
They're walking in the studio right now.
There they are.
Runaway June is here.
Look at these guys.
I got to say that we're on the air,
by the way, live, everybody.
We were not going to have a guest in at all today
Because we have a new studio we're being built
We were supposed to be in it today
And I didn't want to bring you guys in and not work
And so I called late
And I was like
You guys got to call late
Like annoyingly late
Like Bobby would like
It wasn't annoyingly late
It was just it was the ringer
It came in at the last second
It was awesome
Bobby's gonna use you guys as as guinea pigs
But not
There was no guinea pig
Because we're still in this
We're a temporary studio
I was saying it's funny
Because we had kind of the same situation
Our label is moving building
and today was their move day
and then they sent on email this morning
they're like actually we're just going to work from home this week
and they're like it's not ready
well I'm glad you guys are here
you have a new record out and
it's exciting how you wake up
and it's all new music that the world can hear from you guys
it's super exciting for the first time
it's the debut so
you had like an EP so some people had some songs
but now you have all the songs
by the way Jen how you doing
I'm good bye
Jen texted me yesterday was it yesterday when the Bachelor girl
I can't remember my brain's
When what happened?
So there was a girl up here.
But you were cracking me up, I was dying laughing in the car.
Her boyfriend went on The Bachelor at...
While it was her boyfriend?
While they were together.
Oh, come on.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, she's a musician.
Okay.
Start from the beginning.
Okay, so here's my...
By the way, let me say this real quick.
Runaway June is here.
Their record is out today, Blue Roses.
And this is Bimal and Drinks.
And this is by them on a second.
And so what happened was this girl who lives...
Now that that's out of the way.
Let's move on.
We'll get back to it.
It's funny.
Okay, we'll get back to it.
This girl comes in and she, by the way,
super, Haley was her name, right?
So nice.
She comes in and she goes,
hey, my boyfriend went on the Bachelorette.
And she said, we had a deal.
He would go and he was just going to do it to promote his music and then come back.
Well, the dude goes on the Bachelorette.
Comes back and Ghost her.
No.
And he's still on the show and he wouldn't talk to her.
Oh, my gosh.
This show is going to bring down the world.
I swear.
But that's kind of what you get from making a deal.
That's what I told her.
I was like, it's your fault too.
Yeah, I mean, it's like, that's what I told her.
They're going to be making it out.
Well, and she saw that, but I think neither of them thought he would make it very far,
that maybe it would just be an opportunity to get on TV, get your name out there, like,
but clearly he's made it like really far.
Go on American Idol.
Like, that's what that shows for, and you don't have to make out with anyone.
Like, I don't know.
You don't have to.
At least to my knowledge, you don't have to make out with anyone.
I just love, Bobby kept going, nobody cares, nobody cares.
All I was telling her was.
No, in the world of today where there's a new story every five seconds,
they move controversy to controversy, scandal.
Nobody cares about this.
When I do stupid stuff and the people will yell at me, I go, you know what?
I'm going to blink and nobody's going to care.
Yeah.
Because there's something else happening.
It's the beauty of it, right?
It's the beauty and the awfulness of it is that there's so much music coming at.
You can get it in every way.
Like, if you can matter to anybody at any time, that's a win.
Right.
On any platform, period.
Like, everyone's going to know about it, and then everyone's not going to care.
And we're on to the next.
Yeah.
I'm a big advocate of putting out as much music as possible all the time.
Because, you know, you guys have, by the way, runaway June is here.
They have a record out today.
Their Instagram is out runaway June official.
And Blue Roses is out.
And I'm a big fan of putting out music constantly because if you're not, somebody else is.
Yeah.
You guys put out, so it's 10 songs on this record, right?
Yeah.
I have a lot of songs up here.
You guys did fast as you?
Yeah, we did.
Yeah.
I haven't heard this.
You haven't?
No.
Oh, my gosh.
Yeah.
Guys, I woke up at three this morning and started working on the show.
I didn't get a chance to listen to the record.
I'll be honest with you.
It came out today.
Totally fine.
I will today.
We played this in the dance party this morning.
I love this song.
It's so fun.
Thanks, so fun.
So how'd you three, for new listeners,
maybe people are just now learning about Runaway June.
How did you three get together?
Jen?
We actually got together in the writer's room.
Someone introduced us for all songwriters,
and we started writing,
and it was just kind of like an instant chemistry.
And then when did you guys go?
okay, we're going to, could you get to stop riding for the people for the most part if you do a group thing?
Like, what did you guys do?
All right, we're a thing now.
We're going to go riding a bus and go radio station to radio station and grind it out.
Well, we went to our label and we played some songs for the owner then, and he offered us a record deal as a band right then, like right there.
And we were like, okay.
We just hit the road.
And we kind of really like came together as a band on the road.
That's really how we were like, all right, we're really doing this.
and that's how fast as you came in.
We've been playing that for like four years live.
Naomi, that's Naomi there.
Naomi had posted on her Instagram because you lived in a bus for a long time.
Yeah, I did.
Can I tell that story?
Well, I have a big family.
I'm one of 11 kids and my parents are hippies.
And we packed everything up.
And my mom was a midwife.
We traveled around the southern continental U.S.
And in a bus with eight kids.
and one was born on the bus
and we lived in national parks
and kind of like off the grid for...
Oh, wow, yeah.
Four or five years, yeah.
She posted a story and I sent her message
I was like, man, that's a really good book.
You did, it was so sweet.
I learned how to play guitar.
I would busk on the street,
my mom would let me play in festivals
and I'd like make tips, you know,
I was like, man, you can do this and make money?
And Hannah, you play mandolin?
I do, yeah.
That's the tiny guitar.
That's the tiny one, the little guy.
Why?
When do you get one of those?
because I would think, you know, the little guitar is not really one you zone in on as a kid.
Yeah, well, you know what's funny is that they say that kids should start with handling
because the frets are smaller, so it's, like, good for their little hands.
But I kind of, I learned it later.
So, like, I started with piano and then went to guitar, but I always loved learning new instruments.
So I have, like, a million just different random instruments at my house that are just for fun.
So it's funny that that one became one that now I play a lot on stage,
because it was kind of just one that was added, you know, later on in life just for fun.
Runaway June is here.
The record is Blue Roses.
Here you go.
Amy, I was doing CMA Fest for ABC.
Where I'm back and they gave me a big dressing room and like,
I don't usually get that cool a dressing room.
So I have this big dressing room in the back and I hear like these three angel birds.
And I'm like, what is it?
And I'll go fine.
And I heard somebody.
And I walk and I pull the curtain back and they were singing the national anthem.
And it was like, ooh, see.
I think I levitated a bit.
It was that good.
You're like, Bobby, you want to join the band for it?
I did not.
I did walk into it.
And it was their dressing room and I just opened the curtain and I shouldn't have done that.
Yeah, you didn't knock.
But they were singing.
But who sings the National Anth.
Well, I mean, we could be singing the anthem and getting dressed.
Yes.
I know.
They were like to sing.
Or undry.
And I was glad that that wasn't the case once I, because you can't knock on a curtain.
That's a good point.
Excuse me?
I would never interrupt the National Anthem.
Never.
So unpatriotic.
He would never do that.
He did it right.
Yeah.
I did it right.
Okay, runaway Junis here.
Hey, I want you guys to hang out because we're going to play.
You guys watch Family Feud?
Ever?
Yeah, by force on the bus.
Yeah, it hasn't aired it yet, but it comes on.
When were you on this?
Give us two blinks if you won.
Hold on, wait, I'm not doing anything.
They let me do Celebrity Family Feud, and I took Amy and Lunchbox and John Party and
Lauren Elena.
Oh, my God, how fun.
We went up and played against Andy Rodic and Brooklyn Decker.
Oh, my gosh.
And it'll air on the next month or so, we think.
It airs this summer.
John Party and Lauren Elena.
That's a.
This is, I'll watch that.
Oh, God.
I'll watch that.
Naomi, do you have a TV?
Do you watch TV?
I don't.
No TV at all?
I don't.
I just don't.
I didn't grow up with it.
We didn't have TV growing up.
It's not something.
I don't go like, hey, I'm bored.
I'm going to watch TV.
I usually go outside or do something.
I'm bored.
I'm going to whittle.
Like, what do you?
Let's make soap.
I just, I'm bored.
Let's go churn, butter in the back.
Let's go like, you know, run in the woods, barefoot.
I do various things.
I just, I started downhill,
mountain biking, which is really fun.
Only downhill?
Does somebody take the bike?
Extremely downhill.
I'll tell you that much.
Well, I did take a little tumble.
A little tumble.
A little tumble.
I just, you know, there's a lot to do in the world.
I just, you know, I really don't watch TV.
Unless I'm sick or something.
Unless I'm sick.
Okay.
Wow.
We're going to come back and play the feud.
The show is going to play against Runaway June.
I will watch this show, though.
Do you know what the family feud is, though?
Have you ever seen it ever?
I do know.
Our band guys love it.
It's on the bus all the time.
Okay.
Yeah.
All right.
The Friday morning conversation with Runaway June.
All right.
They have a record out today called Blue Roses.
Here's a song.
Why would you think I would like the song called We Were Rich, Jen?
Because of how you grew up.
Okay, let me hear this song.
We were rich.
We all thought we did.
We said that we never thought the grass was greener on the other side of our old shingling fence.
Yeah, we were.
It's interesting.
I never really knew I was poor
until I got out of being
where everybody was poor.
Yeah.
And then you go,
oh, I was really poor.
Growing up you didn't know that
because you lived.
It's so relative.
Yeah.
That's exactly what the song is.
Runaway June in studio.
I think because there are three of you guys
and our show loves to play games.
You guys like games or no?
Oh, love games.
We're going to play the Bobby Feud,
which we ripped off the family feud.
Let's play the movie.
Are there legalities there, the Bobby Feet family?
Yeah, I just have to like say that.
Yeah, okay, got it.
To my left, the Bobby Bone Show team of Amy Lunchbox and Producing it.
Man, I hate to beat them on album day.
I know.
There we go.
I hate to do that.
I hate to do it.
Yeah, I can tell you're not excited.
The ladies of Runaway June, Naomi, Hannah, and Jennifer.
Oh, good.
All right.
Now.
Suck us.
Going down over there.
What I'll do is I'll ask you a question.
You yell your name as the buzzer.
Jen, Amy, you're up first.
Again, I'll ask you a question.
Your name is the buzzer.
Okay.
So if I say, what's one plus one?
You know the answer?
Amy, Jen.
Right.
Not two.
Good.
Ready.
Here we go.
Name a beverage that people drink exclusively with breakfast.
Amy.
Jim.
Damn it.
Coffee.
Coffee.
And our first curse word also at the same time.
Show me coffee.
Yes. Amy, you guys have a category.
All right.
It is the number one?
It's number one answer.
Yeah.
All right.
Lunchbox.
That's easy, guys.
Name a beverage.
People drink exclusively with breakfast.
That's easy.
When I wake up, I get a nice glass of orange juice with my breakfast.
Show me orange juice.
Yes.
That's the number two answer.
Three more answers on the board.
How many more?
Three more answers on the board.
What's the question again?
Name a beverage people drink exclusively with breakfast.
Chocolate milk.
Chocolate milk.
Oh, you're having fun.
Show me chocolate milk.
It's for the kids.
No.
That's for the kids.
Amy.
Nobody drinks milk anymore.
Ew.
Back over to you.
I would have accepted almond milk or...
Almond milk was, yeah.
Broccoli milk or whatever people are.
Broccoli milk.
Amy, you got a beverage.
People drink exclusively with breakfast.
Go ahead.
Can I just go with milk?
Did somebody say milk?
He said chocolate milk?
No, no, no.
Show me milk.
Yeah.
I mean, Eddie, go and Charlie knows.
That was a terrible decision.
All right.
Lunchbox is like, freshly squeezed orange juice, no pulp.
I'm sorry, it's with pulp.
What was it, number two?
Lunchbox, two answers left.
All right.
I name of beverage, people drink exclusively with breakfast.
Don't get why people do this.
It's disgusting.
It's called tomato juice.
Oh.
Show me tomato juice.
No.
Oh.
What?
There are two strikes.
Eddie, you missed this.
It goes over.
Runaway June can steal it.
Okay.
Eddie, there are two answers left.
A beverage.
People drink with breakfast.
Connell breakfast is they have orange juice and they have apple juice.
Apple juice.
Oh, we got this.
You guys are going death.
Show me.
Show me apple juice.
Yeah.
Yeah.
You win.
Settled out.
One more.
Amy.
Come on.
You do this.
Name a beverage.
People drink with breakfast.
Go ahead.
Oh my gosh.
Okay.
People drink with breakfast.
I mean, I have, I have, I have, can I talk this out?
I have tea every day.
I have tea.
I have tea every day.
Ah!
But I mean, tea, you can drink tea time.
Not breakfast time.
I'm sorry, you didn't get an answer in his time.
What are you doing?
I don't know.
She's got an answer in time.
Bobby.
Okay, run away.
Okay, Steve Harvey.
You can now steal.
Runaway June.
You can talk it out.
To be fair, we won't steal tea because that was, that was rough.
What happened to you?
What is the beverage that you drink for breakfast, Runaway June?
Mamosas.
Their answer is a Mamosa.
Come on, get spicy.
Who did you ask?
Wait a second.
Who's the audience that you asked?
Jen is the captain.
You have to give the answer to you.
All right.
Jen's the captain.
We're going to go with Mamosa.
Okay.
For the win, show me Mamosa.
No.
Was it tea?
Warm tea.
No, the last answer was water.
I'm sorry.
Water.
That's a really good thing.
Who only drinks that at breakfast?
exclusively at breakfast.
They're having a rough life.
Specifically, you should drink that all day.
I think we should revolt on this.
Back up.
Naomi, lunchbox.
Woo!
Yeah.
All right.
I'm ready.
All right, right, right.
Runaway June is here.
The record Blue Rose is out today.
Naomi, lunchbox.
Buzz in with your name.
Okay.
Yep.
Here we go.
Name something that you wouldn't leave your home without.
Lunchbox.
Lunchbox.
Keys.
Your keys.
Got to lock that door!
Got to lock that door!
Show me your keys.
That's correct.
It's number four out of five.
Okay.
Naomi, you can beat that.
Oh, I can beat that.
If we get the number one.
Or two or three.
Any of them above number four?
Naomi, go ahead.
It's something you wouldn't leave your home without.
Your phone.
Your phone.
Show me your phone.
Number one answer.
There it is.
All right, Hannah, over to you.
You guys are keeping the category.
Three answers left on the board.
Something you would not leave the house without.
Let's do, like, shoes.
That's a lot.
a terrible answer.
I would leave my job.
It's a bigger answer.
It's a terrible.
Let's go with the curling iron.
No.
That's like one thing, though.
You're like, oh, my, my.
Whoa.
Oh, go.
Oh, whoa.
Hit it.
Hit it.
Hit it.
Sorry, guys.
We live on a bus with five dudes.
We curse.
Sorry.
You can't say that word.
Okay.
We dumped it, right?
And apparently I can't say shoes.
It's not the other.
Oh, okay.
Got it.
Confused.
Here we go.
Who knew Runaway June is so blue?
They weren't blue, folks.
All right.
Let's go over to...
What are we doing?
Two minutes, what?
I've got to wrap the bit up in two minutes?
Oh, boy.
All right.
Jen, go ahead.
Something you wouldn't leave your home without.
Oh, my gosh.
A jacket.
A jacket.
Show me jacket.
In the middle of summer, yeah.
No.
Man.
It's an air condition.
It's cold inside.
Back to you.
You wouldn't leave your...
Clothing.
Okay.
They may be the worst.
By the way, they drop the S. Ballet.
We've got nothing right.
Close.
You guys can win this.
Yeah.
Say on three.
What's on the board?
Just answer the one.
Just answer anything.
If wallet's on, you guys win.
Oh, we won.
There's Apple pay now.
You don't always have to have your wallet.
Show me wallet.
Come on.
Where are you going to put your wallet if you don't wear in any pants?
Let me say.
You need clothes.
You have it.
I have shoes. Ladies running out of time. Let me get your plugs in real quick.
You don't need keys because there's Uber.
Runaway June.
Or a cab in your case.
Blue Roses out today.
They lost the family feud.
Terribly.
This is called Trouble with this town.
This is called Buy My Own drinks, a Top 20 song.
Ladies, thank you.
Good to see all of you.
Good luck.
I hope everybody listens to your record and comes to see you on the road.
I would carry again in the fall.
Yeah.
All right, we're back in one second.
The Bobby Bones show.
Bobby Bones.
The year was 1999.
It's Flashback Friday.
Flashback Friday.
Amy, walking me through it.
1999 you were?
A senior in high school.
This year I graduated.
Austin High.
Go Maroons.
Yeah, look back on it fondly.
Well, yeah.
That means my 20-year reunion's coming up.
Oh, yeah.
What car are you going to get to drive there?
Oh.
I was in college freshman year
Clueless
Knewless. Knew what I wanted to do in my life
But broke and just like
What am I doing? I was in radio
And I was running the college radio station
And I was going to class like 20 hours a semester
Driving a couple hours back and forth
It was I used to always think
I can't wait to get at school
Because this is the biggest grind I'm going to be in
And it got
I don't know that still may be the most grind I've ever done
It was college.
All my traveling I do now, it's close, but that was still the hardest for me was being in school full-time, teaching the college radio class, working full-time.
It was a big one, but it was good.
Listen, wouldn't be here now.
Right.
I used to go eat at the Waffle House every night after work.
I was so healthy, you know.
I go to Waffle House and study and eat.
It was halfway between KLAZ radio station and back at the school.
I get my book, study to like three or four, wake up at 730 or 8.
Do it again.
But it was great because I had big dreams and big eyeballs, man.
It was like, ooh.
Flashback Friday.
Flashback Friday.
The biggest country song, feel free to sing along, Amy, is write this down from George Strait.
Maybe write this down.
Take a little love in case you didn't know.
Tell yourself I love you and I don't want you.
Oh, me.
Here we go.
Write this down.
Hit the high note, Amy.
Come on.
Take my words.
Read them every day.
Keep them closed.
I don't let them fade away.
The biggest pop song, If You Have My Love, Jennifer Lopez.
Oh, this takes me right back to high school.
And the movie, Wow, Wild West is released.
Like a Wow, Wow, Wild West, Jim West, Desperado, remember that?
Yeah.
It is released during Will Smith.
The movie was pretty much a flop, though.
It cost $170 million in May, only made $11313.
Only 17% positive
A rotten tomatoes
I liked it though
But I liked everything
Will Smith at the time
Now once a part of the time
In the West
Yeah dude
I think this is Drew Hill
Sing you with them
Is it Will Smith and Drew Hill
And Cisco is part of Drew Hill
From song
Oh I'm really
Yeah
The Wild Wild West
All right
We're out
Ammy weekend plans
