Starting point is 00:02:37 Topshelfcountrycruise.com. What's happening, friends? Welcome to Thursday's show. Morning studio. Morning. According to a new study. But why do you think people are late to work the most? Oh, well, they slept in? They always say traffic.
Starting point is 00:03:06 Oh. Yes. Yeah. I mean that... This is never an excuse for me because if traffic makes you late all the time, that means you need to leave earlier because traffic is always going to make you late. Yes. Right.
Starting point is 00:03:18 We're on the same page, Jim. Yes, but sometimes traffic just builds up one random day and you're like, oh, that's weird. But that's a random day being late. That's not late all the time. According to a new study, bad traffic is the top reason people are late. On average, people are late to work about 15 times a year. Dang. If you're late to work over five times a year,
Starting point is 00:03:36 because of traffic, you need to give yourself a slightly larger window. But probably you're not even that late because of traffic. You just say traffic because that's what you can't prove wrong. If your commute is longer than 35 minutes, the odds of you being late to work triple compared to a shorter commute time. This increases even more if you live in or around a major city. But that's my pet peeve. We're talking about pet peeves on the post show the other day.
Starting point is 00:03:59 But everybody's on time on this show now. It is great. I have taken clay and molded it in my image. And I love it. I look at you guys and I'm just so proud. You just make me so proud. Tom is on the phone in North Carolina. Tom, welcome to the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:04:15 What's going on, man? You guys were talking about the animals that people think they can go to the table. Yeah, we had a segment about Americans thinking, okay, could I beat up that animal? And I think I can beat up pretty much every animal except like a lion, a bear, and a kangaroo.
Starting point is 00:04:30 No, I can beat up kangaroo. You said you can beat up kangaroo. Yeah, go ahead. I was wondering if you ever seen like a picture, of a kangaroo because when they're flexing, they got like abs and they have pecks. They're like jacked. Yeah. And they're big.
Starting point is 00:04:44 Have you seen me lately? Tom. No, I have not. I heard you've been in the gym now. Yeah. Words gotten around. He's heard that. We're going to hear that from you.
Starting point is 00:04:56 I feel like, and I'm watching a video now of some guy fist bite a kangaroo. I saw that yesterday. I feel like I could take a kangaroo. You see him clock him? The guy clocks the kangaroo. The kangaroo is just stunned. Like, oh? I laugh so harsh.
Starting point is 00:05:14 I do feel like I could take on a kangaroo. It has no strength in its arms. That kangaroo doesn't know how to fight. You're going to get a kangaroo dude that's going to kick you with his feet. How do you know, though? I may get a kangaroo that's a baby. We're doing just drawing. Wait, wait, wait, wait.
Starting point is 00:05:28 We're drawing a red-cared baby. I know you get a newborn kangaroo baby. I'll whoop the crap out of that kangaroo. Stop. I stand by it. Tom. I said what I said. I can beat up a kangaroo. They fight each other in a while. They're good at boxing. That's why they put them in, like, actual boxing matches.
Starting point is 00:05:46 Yeah, okay. I hear what you're saying. I still think I can beat up a kangaroo. I appreciate that call. Yes, sir. All right, buddy. See you later. Here's the voicemail we got last night. I just finished the book Bear Bones, and at the end on page 198. There's a spot that I thought Bobby would like to revisit. He says, I love. I love Arkansas and the Razorbacks. I love Austin, Texas. I love my dog Dusty.
Starting point is 00:06:09 And then it says, too, blank. Thanks for marrying me and making me the happiest guy ever. So I thought, knowing that you're married, now you can fill it in with Caitlin. There you go. I left that blank when I wrote that book. I was like, I guess everyone can write it themselves. You know what, everybody who bought Bare Bones. Go fill in, Caitlin.
Starting point is 00:06:25 You can fill that in if you'd like. Hey, thanks. And thanks for reading my book. And if you guys are trying to get it, it's up on Amazon. It's called Bear Bones. It's kind of the story of my life and how I got to where I am now. I did write that about four or five years ago. Yeah, things change.
Starting point is 00:06:39 So, do I need to... Your story hasn't changed. Do I need to do deluxe version of the last five years? Like remastered? Yeah, yeah. Remastered. It is time to open up the mailbag. You send an email and we read it on the air.
Starting point is 00:06:54 It's something we call Bobby's Mailbag. Yeah. Hello, Bobby Bones. I recently took a new job and have been given a warning from my new coworkers. I guess my... my boss is still a baby inside and gets really upset if his employees don't make a big deal out of his birthday. Wow.
Starting point is 00:07:12 The guy has to be at least 60. That crap stopped being important to me in college. Why should I spend money and make a deal of someone I barely knows birthday just because he signs my paycheck? Is it just me? Signed Haley. Haley, I get being annoyed by it. I'm just going to talk from the perspective of someone who has also been trying to move up in their career a lot. Sometimes you've got to butter the bread of people who bake the bread who you don't
Starting point is 00:07:38 even like, you know? Yeah, it's stupid. But if it's important to him, almost all decisions in life, personal and professional, are made based on relationships. That's the fact of it. You may think I'm the best person for this job, not even, just to pull out of the situation. I'm the best person for this job. I'm the best person to do. Unless you have a relationship with the person in a way, it's going to be hard to get that job or unless you're creating a relationship. So if you want, and I hate to say it because it sounds like a real DB, but if it's important to you to maintain good standing with your boss at this job, I would do something for his birthday.
Starting point is 00:08:19 I feel like she said herself in the one sentence where she said, why in the world should I have to spend some money on someone I barely know because they signed my paycheck? I'm like, well, right there, they sign your paycheck. That's it. And if that doesn't matter to you and you think I'll just get another job if this doesn't work out, then that's great. I believe that's the line that you draw and that you have to, you know, you have to live and die on that hill. But just in general, almost all decisions are made based off of relationships, period. So good luck.
Starting point is 00:08:52 What you do is you get a couple people in the office that are also annoyed with it and you're going together and you get a gift. That way you're spending less money but getting something just as cool. and you're all compromising your values together. And isn't that what it's all about? Yes. Or could you do something that requires no money and write him a poem? No, he's not going to like that. He hates that.
Starting point is 00:09:11 I don't even know the guy, but I can tell you right now. He's a baby, she said. Yeah, yeah. He definitely wants something cool. Okay. Yeah, he wants like a putter. Like a... Yes.
Starting point is 00:09:18 He's 60. Yeah, a putter would be good for this guy right here. All right, thank you for the email, Haley. And I hope you learned a little something there as well. That's the mailback. Close it up. We got your email and we've read it on your air. Now it's about to close
Starting point is 00:09:32 Bobby's mailback. Yeah. On the show right now It's Bo in Oklahoma. Bo, what's going on with you? Not much. I just wanted to ask the question. Do you think it is okay for a female to jog down the road
Starting point is 00:09:47 or she was jogging down the road yesterday? shirtless. Huh? I like it. Nope. No bra, no nothing. I'm talking about it. Topless.
Starting point is 00:09:58 Yeah. So my question is, Was she doing it on purpose? Was she running from something? I guess it was hot. I guess it was hot yesterday. And she was just jogging, so she got overheated and took her shirt off. That's all I can think.
Starting point is 00:10:14 I'd be surprised. I would be very surprised. I've never seen that before. Isn't that indecent? I don't know. No, not really. And listen, what's the difference in a man's nipple and a woman's really? No difference.
Starting point is 00:10:28 I mean, if we really break it down, we only think that a woman's breast shouldn't be shown because we've just been told that. How come a guy can take off his shirt? And it's like, oh, look it there. But if woman does it, you're like, oh, crazy. It's only because society has sexualized the breast. Now, that doesn't mean. You're also probably very attracted to the breast. But we're attracted to things we're told we shouldn't see, right?
Starting point is 00:10:54 This is just all psychological stuff that we just had laid on us over years and years. It's not illegal in a lot of states To be topless So maybe she's from one of those states Is it illegal in Oklahoma Mike do you look up if it's illegal in Oklahoma I would bet It is what? Say it again
Starting point is 00:11:10 It is legal It is legal and Oklahoma To be topless Read me the law on the microphone right there To go topless in Oklahoma It is legal Publicly Publicly
Starting point is 00:11:23 Did you know that Bo? Yes my old lady told me that yesterday My old lady told me she can't say nothing about I'm like, are you serious? I'm here for it. You know what? Man, woman, why are we shaming body parts? Now, the we in her be different.
Starting point is 00:11:42 Would it? Why? Have we just been told to think that we are? That's a great point, Amy. No, because I have nipples. Do you have nipples? Yes. Is his old lady his wife or his mom?
Starting point is 00:11:55 That's his wife. This is wife. How did you grow a old lady? In Arkansas, what do we say? I mean, I didn't. I wasn't old enough. Bo, your old lady's your wife, right? Yes, that's correct.
Starting point is 00:12:06 Yeah, Louisiana, Arkansas. Actually, three states, Louisiana, Texas, Arkansas, and Louisiana right on the border of all three of them. He looked it up? This is where I grew up. Yeah. I thought that they all allow top lists. How do we feel about this?
Starting point is 00:12:21 Yes or no? I mean, I'm not going to do it, but I don't know that I have. a strong opinion about it. I guess it's my kids might be, you know, like I'm driving in the car and then all of a sudden this woman's jogging by and it's like, boing, wing. But isn't that a conversation of, hey. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:12:40 Yeah, but I also don't need my daughter. My daughter is very literal, very. And she's going to get hot one day and be like, Mom, you told me, I could take my shirt off. Yeah. Okay. In theory, I'm okay with it. But it... Yeah, we're not there yet.
Starting point is 00:12:57 Like, in real life, I don't know that I'm there yet. Yeah. Like, I think it's unfair. I also think it's unfair the pressures that are put on women to put on makeup and have to... Oh, yeah, for sure. There are pressures that are unfairly put up on the female gender. But I... You like makeup for yourself.
Starting point is 00:13:14 Yes, I wish the pressure was also put on men. That's my point. I wish I also had that pressure. Yeah, Bo, it'd be wild. Where did you fall on it? Bo, yes or no? Either way, I don't care. She does this free country.
Starting point is 00:13:27 You do what you want. but my issue is like that's a major distraction for most guys. See? Cause an accident. My official stance is I'm okay with it. You are? Yeah. It would be weird, but I'm okay with it.
Starting point is 00:13:44 It's only weird because we're not used to it. I'm big on male, female, let's equal it out. So I'm going to go, I'm okay with it. I'm going to also say I would be distracted too. Oh, yeah. That distraction would only last for a bit. until I got over it. I'm okay with it.
Starting point is 00:14:00 You? I'm not there yet. And I don't, and I would like equality, but there's just something that's not. I love it and I want more women to do it. Because of this guy. This guy.
Starting point is 00:14:08 I'm like, Amy, you know, it's going to be a weird conversation with my kids, but that's parenting. So I'll have that conversation with them and I'm okay with it.
Starting point is 00:14:14 It's worth of three to run. It's weird all the guys when I'm okay with it. I mean, come on. Hey, Beau said it best. Free country,
Starting point is 00:14:22 that's right. Oh, yeah. All right, all right, all right, all right, Three to one, we're good. Here we go, here we go.
Starting point is 00:14:28 A federal court ruling over a ban of women going topless and public has essentially made it legal for women to go topless in Utah, Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, Kansas, and Oklahoma. That's it. That's it. Come on, guys, step up, rest of the country. That's what he gets passionate about. He literally gets passionate about nothing, and that's what it is. I mean, Bo, I hope you took a couple laps around the block.
Starting point is 00:14:51 All right, Bo, appreciate you, buddy. Thank you for the call. I want to say I love Bobby Bones Breaking Bones You have a good one All right see you buddy I think you been breaking Boney Bones
Starting point is 00:15:00 Thank you Bowe Hey that shows on Disney Plus 8 new episodes up yesterday You guys go check it out please Bobby Bones show The latest from Nashville and Hollywood Morgan number two 30 seconds skinny
Starting point is 00:15:12 Dali Parton is writing her first book with author James Patterson It's called Run Rose Run And there will be a companion album to go along with it All of the songs on the project were inspired by the characters and situations. Both will be released on March 7th.
Starting point is 00:15:28 Thomas Wrette shared that his daughter, Willa Gray, wrote her first song, appropriately called Willa Gray's first song. He shared some of it on his Instagram. Here's a clip. What do you want to call it? Willa Gray's first song? Kane Brown is the only country artist nominated for the MTV Video Music Awards. He's up for video for good with the music video for his song Worldwide Beautiful.
Starting point is 00:16:02 The show air September 12th on MTV. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So an Apple Watch saved a 25-year-old's life. And Bobby, are you still wearing your Apple Watch?
Starting point is 00:16:18 I do. I do wear it pretty cool. It tells me the time. Do you have your emergency contact set up? I don't have any of that set up. I don't have set up to a cell phone plan. I think I just wear it right now. Well, this story might encourage you people to set it up
Starting point is 00:16:30 because this guy, Brandon, he's a. pretty active 25 year old and wears his watch to help with his running and he's got some health issues but the watch helps him maintain that stuff. Well, he had a scare and was at the hospital anyway and he fell while he went to the bathroom. He hit his head and was knocked unconscious. Yeah, the watch detected that he had fallen and because there was like no response from him, the watch alerted his emergency contact, which was his dad and then they were able to attend to him. Luckily, he was already at the hospital, but, you know, they might have just thought he was in the bathroom for a while. That's pretty cool that it can do that.
Starting point is 00:17:06 I do use mine if I workout to see how many calories. If I hit 700, I know that's a good workout because I can hit about 700. But I wish the watch would tell me, like, it could, like, tell if I'm hungry ahead of time. Like, it knows a smooth. I'm going to need a smoothie about an hour. That would be great. So in like 40 minutes, it orders me a smoothie and it arrives right then. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:25 That's what we're talking about. But it does tell you when to breathe, right? It's the dumbest thing. Sometimes this watcher will go, and I'll look down at it, go, breathe. What do you think I've been doing? No, you're missing the point of that. No, the point is to take a minute and relax. Yes.
Starting point is 00:17:39 I don't need to relax sometimes. Sometimes it's not relax time. It sounds like you might need to breathe right now. Right now. That's pretty cool. The watch does that though. You want my breathing exercise? I do not.
Starting point is 00:17:50 I do not. But sometimes it does that crap where it goes, and I think someone's messaging me, and it's like, now that we have your attention. Just take a minute and breathe. Okay. Get out of here. All right, that's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:18:05 All right, we're going to play Amy versus Lunchbox. Amy is the reigning champ. We start fresh. I'll ask Amy questions that Lunchbox should know in the opposite as well. You guys ready to play? Ready. Ready.
Starting point is 00:18:17 All right, question number one. Amy, you're up first. Dion Sanders appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated numerous times for two different sports. one was football What other sport did he play professionally? I mean, I don't know. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:38 Michael Jordan did baseball and basketball. I feel like it's got to be baseball. Most of the football players either do that or basketball. Baseball. So you say did football and baseball? It's either baseball or tennis. I'm going baseball. Okay.
Starting point is 00:18:52 The answer is baseball. That is correct. It's like Jackson. Shoot. I have no idea what you're talking about. Bo Jackson. I was trying to say. Aside from Harley, what nickname is often used for a Harley Davidson motorcycle?
Starting point is 00:19:10 Aside for people saying, hey, get on a Harley, they say, let me get on my... Oh my gosh. My father-in-law rode a Harley for years. What would he say? Oh, my pig. My hog. My hog. Hog.
Starting point is 00:19:21 Your answer is? Hog. The answer is hog. That is correct. And then, finally. Finally, how many NFL teams are there? You'll never get that one. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:19:33 I mean, there's no chance to get that one. I don't know. I was thinking, 52 came to my mind, but that's how many weeks are in the year. It feels like there's 52, but probably not. There's, oh, is there one per state? Does every state have a pro team? Probably not Rhode Island.
Starting point is 00:19:49 Probably not Delaware. Ooh. Okay. 32. 32. is that right? The answer is 32. How did she do that?
Starting point is 00:20:03 I guess it was somewhere in my brain. The answer is 32. Are you kidding me? I had three for three. How did you figure that out, Amy? You pulled 32 from the middle of your buttocks, from deep inside of your buttocks. No, I did. I probably have heard that somewhere, and then sometimes it's...
Starting point is 00:20:18 You thought every state had a pro team, and then you started listing states that didn't. You shouted out Rhode Island and Delaware, then you quit. And it said 32. I think I said 29, and then I was somewhere. Wow. Lunchbox, did you talk about that? I mean,
Starting point is 00:20:31 there's nothing I can do. I saw that. I mean, Bobby's face, he couldn't even hold a poker face. He didn't even give her a chance of change. He just mouth dropped wide open and was like,
Starting point is 00:20:40 all right, well, I can't, Amy, I don't know how he did that. The answer is 32. You went 52, 20, Delaware 32. Like, wow. Okay.
Starting point is 00:20:49 Here are the questions for lunchbox. You got to go three for three here. This is going to be tough. What's the name of Katie Holmes 's 15-year-old daughter? with Tom Cruise. Katie, oh, Surrey. Surrey is correct.
Starting point is 00:21:03 Yeah. Nice. I was like, I forgot Katie Holmes was the mom. Man, where's Katie Holmes been? What's she doing? She used to be a haughty. She got remarried? No, she's dating some chef in New York.
Starting point is 00:21:13 Okay, yeah, I saw something like that. I saw her in a recent scary movie. In the fashion world, you're traditionally supposed to stop wearing white after which holiday. Labor Day. Wow. Interesting.
Starting point is 00:21:24 You knew that quickly, huh? Yeah, I don't know where I heard. It's on one of those movies that my wife watches, one of those romantic comedies. Okay. And finally. Yeah. You get this. I mean, that Delaware 32 is nowhere to be seen.
Starting point is 00:21:39 What's the name of Megan Markle's newborn girl? They just had a baby. What's the name of that baby? No way. I have no idea. Well, Rhode Island ain't got a baby. Maybe it's name for all 50 states, but not Delaware. What?
Starting point is 00:21:56 They name their stuff. But they're out of the royal family, right? So it wouldn't be like queen something. Well, the baby has been put into the lineage now. I did see, like, in the ranking. Oh, really? Yeah. I mean, the first name that came to my head was Olivia.
Starting point is 00:22:11 But I have no idea. I don't know if that's right. Olivia's your answer? Yeah, that's it. Olivia's the wrong. Oh, my gosh. I was like, wow. I mean, I didn't even realize they had just had a baby.
Starting point is 00:22:21 What is it? Lilibet. Lilibet? Lillabet or Lily? That's a terrible name. Oh, they named. after the queen because that was her nickname. Little bit?
Starting point is 00:22:31 Lilibet. Sort of like a little baby, but a little bit? No, Lilybet. Lilibet. Lilibet. L-I-L-I-E-T, Lilibet. Or Lily. Amy, you won today. Congratulations. Wow, surprising. 1-0.
Starting point is 00:22:47 That's wild. I'm not going to lie to you. That's wild that you got. I know. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University. Starting point is 00:25:53 Financial stress is one of the things that we don't always talk about, but it hits harder than we realize. It's not just numbers in a bank account. Starting point is 00:26:56 BetterH-E-L-P-L-com. Bobby. Betterhelp.com slash Bobby. Ramundo came and said he got big-timed by a celebrity at the mall. Were you in a store or were you walking through the main, the center of it? You can say food court area. It was a very wide opening. Guy or girl? Guy. Over a million Instagram followers. Yeah, on Instagram and what they do, they're huge in their little niche.
Starting point is 00:27:21 What they do? Do we all know them? Yes. Your question to him was... It was like has Ray met this? celebrity because we have some artists in here that would absolutely know Ray and we have other people that come in that may not know Ray or they've never even come in. So I guess I'm just curious, does, should, have you met this person? Yes. Okay, so. Have they been a guest on this show?
Starting point is 00:27:42 Yes. Would they really know you for sure, for sure from the show? No. Okay. Oh. Huh? That's a They've met you, but they wouldn't know you from the show. It was a, what's up? It wasn't a handshake. Hello, how are you? How's your family? You mean when they came in? Yeah, when they came in studio. So Without saying who it is, explain what happened. So I was in the food court mall area with my wife. We were walking. I saw him from about, I would say, 100 to 200 feet away. I saw him coming.
Starting point is 00:28:06 They're a noticeable person. I said to my wife. Yeah, but also had two shopping bags. And I looked at my wife and I said, it's blank. Should I say who the person is? Not yet. Okay, I said, it's blank blank. They're known by two names.
Starting point is 00:28:18 And my wife says, yes, yes, that's blank blank. I love him on TikTok. And I said, this is so cool, so cool. So we keep walking. We're walking the exact same direction. We're about to come right head on with each other. And I go right five feet away from the person, look at them. We're making eye contact directly.
Starting point is 00:28:35 And I said, hey, it's blank blank. And the person looked at me, looked through me, made a B-line perpendicular to me, and went the other direction with his two shopping bags. Did you have a mask on? No. Okay. And all he said was, hey, it's blank-blank. So just use mine.
Starting point is 00:28:55 It's just use it as me. So we're right by each other. We're walking toward each other. And you go, within touching distance. Yeah. Hey, it's Bobby Bones. Okay. So you didn't say hi, though.
Starting point is 00:29:06 No. You pointed out that it's him. It is weird. Sometimes people will go, they'll like I'm an animal in a zoo. Right. Hey, a lion. Yes, I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 00:29:16 They do do that sometimes. And they'll point and be like, there's Bobby Bones. It's weird. What I'll just wave, like a good caged animal does. I just wave and be like, hey, how's it going? But I don't stop and have a conversation unless they go, hey, how are you today and ask a question?
Starting point is 00:29:33 If they're just pointing as they're passing by looking at me, the monkey, I just go, hey. But he didn't even wave. Well, yeah, and I didn't get a smile. What's up? Something like that. It was almost faking like it wasn't that person. Is there a chance it wasn't that person? No, no.
Starting point is 00:29:47 I thought I saw Jake Owen at the grocery store once and it wasn't Jake. No, it was 100% blank blank, blank, because. He looks the exact same as he does in his TikToks. Okay. Blank blank. And then I also wonder, did the person not want to draw attention to themselves? And so they were like, oh, shoot. He just said my name out loud.
Starting point is 00:30:07 So I'm just going to keep walking and go to my car. I'm done. Possibly. But since they've been in studio before, they've seen my face before, I would have been totally fine with a, what's up, dude? How's it going, man? Walk on by. I wasn't trying to stop him.
Starting point is 00:30:19 I just wanted some acknowledgement. I now have been texted who it was. Oh. He's been in some controversy. Huh? Morgan Wall? Oh, I know. No, I got it.
Starting point is 00:30:30 Kid Rock. No. Oh. You do not picture Kid Rock at the mall with shopping bags. The Baby? No, DaBaby's never been here. It was Governor Cuomo. Oh, God.
Starting point is 00:30:43 That's a blank blank. I know, I know. That comedian guy. Who? I don't know his name. John Chris? That's him. Ray?
Starting point is 00:30:50 He's never been here. Yeah, yeah. Oh, yeah. He's dating. Lauren Elena. They announced they were dating. Ray, the answer is. John Chris.
Starting point is 00:30:58 Oh yeah. He maybe didn't recognize Ray. That was a long time ago. But I don't think it's about recognizing. I think it's if someone goes, hey, that's John Chris. You just wave and keep walking because they're not asking to have a conversation with you.
Starting point is 00:31:11 Maybe this is part of a bit that he has where he's like, I don't wave to people. You felt like he was kind of big time to you? Well, and he doesn't seem the way he is in his TikTok. He's friendly and funny and outgoing. That's not fair. I don't think that's fair. because I come in here and I can't shut up.
Starting point is 00:31:27 I go home, I got nothing to say. I'll get messages from people going, hey, I saw you out, you were eating. I didn't want to say hi because you were just being quiet by yourself. You look kind of rude. And I'm like, kind of rude. I'm by myself or I'm with Caitlin. And I don't talk a whole lot when I'm not on the air.
Starting point is 00:31:41 I think that's unfair to say I look kind of rude. If you come to me, I'm not rude at all. I'm actually very grateful that you say hi. Do you want him to apologize? If he wants to, that's fine. I'll still watch his TikTok's with my wife. We think he's hilarious. So nothing lost.
Starting point is 00:31:56 You don't respect him any less. But I'm guaranteeing that he's like that with a lot of people. Because once I saw him in person, okay, this is his thing. He doesn't want to be stopped in person. I found him to be quite nice whenever I've met him. Oh, yeah? Yeah. I mean, I spent a little time with him.
Starting point is 00:32:09 I wouldn't say we hang out or anything. But, okay, right, thank you for your story. Yep. Apparently John Chris is mean. So mean. We just found out together. Tony and New Hampshire is on. Tony, what's going on with you?
Starting point is 00:32:24 Doing good. I'm calling in about lunchboxes court day. Yeah, he told us he was on jury duty, but he just basically skipped a day of work. Yeah, what would you do there? I would have to take away one of his vacation days. Morgan, what did most listeners say about lunchbox skipping work out for that day? The results were 65% yes and 34% no on being punished. So yes, he should be punished, but the punishments are all across the board. What are I suggesting?
Starting point is 00:32:52 him getting docked pay Oh, that's a good one. Oh, a day of dock pay? Whoa, no, no, no. Guys. Go ahead. Him having to take a vacation day in place of it. Him having to hold up a sign, admitting what he did,
Starting point is 00:33:07 and letting drivers see that. That's pretty funny. I like a stand on the road with a sign. And then another one is making him walk up and down the Nashville strip in a dress and heels. Well, that one just got weird. Yeah. Out of nowhere.
Starting point is 00:33:19 That's somebody's fantasy. That's not just a punishment. Here's Amy's pile of stories. So I love this Beyonce story. She said she has spent too much time on diets in the past. And she was talking with Harper's Bazaar, and she said she's kind of over it. And Bootylicious came from her having some insecurities about her body and not fitting into what they call sample sizes. And so this is how we got the Bootylicious song.
Starting point is 00:33:48 But now she's just, she's understanding self-care better for her. and it doesn't mean dieting and over-exercising. It means just nurturing her body and taking care of it. Let me hear a booty licious again. Let's see. Yeah, I felt that. I don't think you're ready for what? This jelly?
Starting point is 00:34:08 This jelly. Although I love jelly. Sometimes in the morning, Caitlin will wake up early and make oatmeal and she puts jam and jelly in it. And sometimes I do say, I think I'm ready for this jelly. It's kind of a funny joke.
Starting point is 00:34:21 Yeah, it's pretty good. All right, what else? Oh, well, just real quick, speaking of food, too, Did you see that Krispy Cream is coming out with a Smoors donut? I see it. We talk about these. I never eat them. It sounds good, but I would never eat a Krispy Kreme Smoors donut.
Starting point is 00:34:33 Oh, you wouldn't? I'm not eating any processed sugar at all right now. I'll have a completely fruit smoothie with no yogurt every couple of days. But I feel pretty good, though. It's really helping me. Again, I have IBS really bad. I'm trying to figure out the root of that. But yeah, I bet the Smoor's donut's good for all you people who can eat it.
Starting point is 00:34:50 Yeah. Okay. So, Bobby, are you guilty of fubbing? Um, you know, I didn't until I was about 12. Wait. Wait, do you know what fubbing is? No, I have no idea. Okay, well, it's snubbing, but with your phone, so you can find phone and snubbing.
Starting point is 00:35:07 So it's... But not on purpose. Sometimes I just, I get them... But you know what happens? I keep my phone screen upside down if I'm around people. Because that keeps me from being so interested in my phone that it's going off and I'm looking at it. And I remember when Caitlin I first started dating, she was like, why is your phone always upside down, thinking maybe that I was hiding something. Totally. But I do it. If I'm around
Starting point is 00:35:28 folks, I don't want to fub them. And so... So you put the phone down. Yeah. And I don't, I thought I'd never fub until marriage. I'll be honest with you. Well, listen, people who tend to fub a lot, they are likely to be socially anxious and then even possibly depressed because they're not wanting to interact with people. Not me. I get depressed when I can't get on my phone. People give phones a bad rap. There's more communication than happens. I get so much work. done. I reach out to people that I never talk to except on my phone, make dinner plans.
Starting point is 00:35:58 The phone is awesome. It's like anything else. If you use it too much all the time, it can hurt you. Not me. I love it. It's the greatest part of my life that's not human. More than the car. Oh, wow. As I said it. Oh, wow. Wow. I'm in the car.
Starting point is 00:36:15 You're walking to work tomorrow. No, you know what? I will use my phone to have a car come pick me up. Oh, yeah. I'll get an Uber. Yes. Okay, is that it? Well, no, quickly, just Jason Aldeen's math skills are lacking. He recently said that he was helping one of his daughters with math, and she turned it in and she got three answers wrong.
Starting point is 00:36:34 So he says that when it comes to school, English or history, he's your man. So I was just curious, like, school year is starting back. And I know for me personally, I'm like, oh gosh, I don't want to have to sit and try to do homework because I'm bad at all. But you know what? I can use my phone to help me. Or call Al Dean. Listen, Al Dean never came across a big math guy. I don't think we're not really surprised by that.
Starting point is 00:36:57 Yeah. I mean, but to be fair, like we did used to have to go look stuff up like his kids. And then now my daughter's just like, Alexa, what's 13? Be careful yelling that on the air. Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to do that. But you know, like you could just ask your computer and it hurts you. I'm Amy. That's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 00:37:15 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. Mark Cutlip is a businessman making business deals trying to get that money and he started his own business hauling junk. So he bought a truck, a trailer, well, it gets stolen. So he reports it to the police and he shows his Amazon driver. He's like, hey, while you're out on your route, this is a picture of my truck and trailer. If you happen to see it, give me a call.
Starting point is 00:37:40 Well, about eight hours later, the driver, Henry Martinez is on his route. The Amazon driver? Yeah, Amazon driver. Spots the stolen truck, calls him, and he gets his truck and trailer back. Wow. Like, what are the odds? Yeah, I don't know that I would be so sure of myself to make that call. Like, unless it had something written on the side of it, like a business name, I'll be like, I don't know.
Starting point is 00:37:59 I don't want to call them. It's not even his truck. But he did. He saw it. He saw it. Call them. Boom. So Amazon guy delivers packages and cars.
Starting point is 00:38:09 I mean, when I got my Jeep stolen, like, I wished some, because I asked all my friends, just be on the lookout. You know what it looks like. And no one saw it. But you never got it back, right? We did. They found it in a lot like two weeks later. But was it chopped? They took all the parts out of it. And then what happened to that?
Starting point is 00:38:26 And the shell of the car? I had to go pay money to get it out of the impound. But why did you want it back? Because it's my car. Like so, I got it back and I put it in my dad's house and I think it's still sitting there. Are you ever going to do anything with it? I wanted to. Eventually, I was like, this is my first car ever. I would love to get it redone.
Starting point is 00:38:43 A big paperwork right now. That's a good story. That is what it's all about. That was telling you. me something good. Here's the voicemail we got last night. So I have a great morning corny joke for Amy. Nickelback was formed 25 years ago. So now they're quarterback.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Love what you guys do. Keep up the good work. That's great. Throw a tomato. All right, time for the investigative corny. Since it's Thursday, Amy gives us a morning corny, and we have 90 seconds to figure it out. Team, are you ready?
Starting point is 00:39:18 Ready. Timer, are you ready? Let's go. Hit that button. The morning corny. What do you call a bulletproof Irishman? Bulletproof Irishman. Leprocon.
Starting point is 00:39:34 Best. Lucky. Green clover. Irishman. Ireland. What do you call a bulletproof Irishman? I feel like. It's got to be an ar.
Starting point is 00:39:51 That's a pirate, Eddie. Though don't Irish, you look like arish. Ironady, no, they don't. What do you call a bulletproof? What do you call a bulletproof Irishman? Huh. What do you call a bulletproof? Bulletproof.
Starting point is 00:40:06 What do you call a bulletproof? What's the joke in Lucky Charm? I don't know, Eddie. I'm just saying. That's unfair to do that, Eddie, because we just yell stuff. But I mean, it was, it sounds like he had it. Lucky Charm! Don't know what that means.
Starting point is 00:40:17 I don't neither, but. Bulletproof. What do you call it? a bulletproof Irishman. If a bullet goes, it bounces off of you. Right. Rick O'Shea.
Starting point is 00:40:27 Rick O'Shea. Hey! Gosh, Bones, you're so good. No, you said it. I didn't say anything. I just said it with Irish. Rick O'Shea. Oh.
Starting point is 00:40:38 Rick O'Shea. I didn't get that. You got that. Isn't that the bar we went to invade? O'Shea's? Yeah, it was. Rick O'Shea. That's right.
Starting point is 00:40:45 We went to O'Shea's. You're right. And he was an Irish pub. It is an Irish pub. I would have never, I mean, you guys, wow. I didn't say that. That's Eddie. No, dude, but I really said it thinking like, oh, I don't know, ricochet.
Starting point is 00:40:56 That's what it is. Rick O'Shea. Rick O'Shea. Even if that's not right, we demand that it is. We demand they change the end of that joke. Okay, we good? Yeah, of course. Okay, Rick O'Shea.
Starting point is 00:41:05 Here we go. The morning corny. What do you call a bulletproof Irishman? What do you call a bulletproof Irishman? Rick O'Shea. Hey! Man, that was so good. And that's a good joke too
Starting point is 00:41:22 That's funny It's funny that you said it I just said it as a word And then you're like Oh that's great Rick O'Shea I bet you songs You're written like that like That's a great line
Starting point is 00:41:33 And you're like I said I gotta go to the bathroom Genius Genius Wow Okay do it Eddie Here we go Clear eyes
Starting point is 00:41:40 Full hearts Can't lose Amber in Iowa Is on the phone Hey Amber how are you I am doing well How are you guys We're awesome
Starting point is 00:41:51 What can we help you with? I need some advice about the Garth Brooks concert this weekend and my husband refusing to go with me. Okay. So I bought four tickets for myself and my husband and my parents to go to Garth Brooks this weekend because he has never went to a concert with me. And he's refusing to go with me because I spent too much on the ticket. But you've already spent the money. I guess my question is it's not money you're about to spend.
Starting point is 00:42:16 I would understand that. Hey, money's a little tight this month. Let's not spend money on a concert ticket. But you've already bought them, right? But it's not, I have, and it's not that the money is tight because he just spent $5,000 on two hunting dogs. Well, to be fair, sticking up for the hunting dogs for a second. Tit for tat? No, that's a lifetime.
Starting point is 00:42:38 That's 10 years. And not one night. That's not it. We had different dogs for different occasions. Feasant, quail, duck. Which equates to food. That's a, depending. Sure, hobby or food.
Starting point is 00:42:51 But I'm not going to hate on him for the hunting dog. But she's just saying money's not, that wasn't tight. I completely agree. Okay. So now, but we're totally here. Okay, so what do you need from us, Amber? I want to know if he should go or not. Yes.
Starting point is 00:43:05 Yes, it's the best concert ever. First of all, it's the greatest concert you'll ever go to. I've been to them all. There is no show like a Garth Brook show. I've been to Garth on different stages. I saw him in Vegas on a small stage, which is him in a microphone and one guitar, blown away. Saw Garth play a stadium Saw Garth play I mean he was in my bathroom the other day
Starting point is 00:43:25 Just playing a couple songs Oh yeah it was crazy It was a very intimate show First of all the concert's fantastic The concert's great as Amy says Don't say fantastic Trying to get off that But the money
Starting point is 00:43:37 The issue I don't understand Is he trying to like it's a principle to him Like you spent Well he's never gone to a concert with her So maybe he just doesn't like concerts Does he not like music? I think he's just trying to prove a point that I didn't ask him how much to spend on the ticket.
Starting point is 00:43:53 Then can you do this? Can you go to him and say, husband? Hey, you know, I probably should have said, hey, can I buy these tickets? A gift swallow your pride a little bit. And next time that I buy a ticket this much, I will, for sure, will have a check-in on it. But would you please go to the show with me
Starting point is 00:44:07 because you're going to have so much fun and I would love for you to be there. I think if you approach it like that, like a slight hat in hand, even though you don't really mean it, but be like, I probably should have. But I would love for you to go. I think he'll go.
Starting point is 00:44:19 Don't bring up the hunting dogs because it's not an argument. You can do that later. After the concert, be like, hey, thanks for going. Hey, by the way, those hunting dogs, will you just check with me before you spend $5,000? But don't make it an issue before the concert. So I would say if you do that, again, I call it slight hat in hand and say, ah, I should have checked with you.
Starting point is 00:44:37 But we really love it if you went. Would you please go? I bet you he says yes. Wonderful. Thank you so much and have a great day, guys. Hey, when you go to the show, hopefully he goes. Call us back next week and tell us how I'm it was. I will do that.
Starting point is 00:44:50 All right. Thank you. Have a great day, Amber. Hope he goes. You too. Bye-bye. If he doesn't go, get on Tinder. Oh, just take a random. Fine, swipe. You just swipes your way into a Garthbrook's concert, buddy.
Starting point is 00:45:03 That's what I would say. Some of our sales asked me to recommend somebody to read some commercials, and with that comes money. And they're like, hey, not you or Amy because you guys are booked, but who would you recommend? And I didn't want to just blankly pick somebody, throw it out there. So we have a little competition here,
Starting point is 00:45:18 A little commercial reading competition. Not only that, I'll give the winner $50 to. Yes. So there is a prize. It's a prize and it's a recommendation for more commercials. Wow. And we can tell us who the worst was too? Well, me, Amy, and Steve are going to be the ones that hold up card.
Starting point is 00:45:33 Oh, okay. We're going to score it live. Gotcha. So I've got a number 1 through 100. Whoever picks closest to the number gets to go, gets to pick their spot in the order. Lunchbox? 50. Eddie?
Starting point is 00:45:42 21. Morgan? 70. Ray? Got to go 20. Abby? Abby? Abby picked 77. The number's 83.
Starting point is 00:45:51 Abby, you can go wherever you want. You can go first. You can go last, whatever you want. I'll go first. Oh, wow. She's going first. Okay. Okay, she will read a 30-second commercial.
Starting point is 00:46:02 Now, this is a commercial that I do for HelloFresh. By the way, all this is current. So HelloFresh is going to get a heck of a deal here without reading their commercial over and over. Abby, are you ready? I am. Can I say I've never done a commercial? So this might be really funny. Or fantastic.
Starting point is 00:46:16 Oh, it could be. I said that word a lot. Trying to get out of there. All right, but I do recognize it. Ready, Abby. Yes. And you have 30 seconds, and whenever you start, I will hit the button. Okay.
Starting point is 00:46:28 There's a lot of exciting things happening this fall. I want to focus on what's important, not what's for dinner. Luckily, HelloFresh delivers everything I need, and it's 30% cheaper than grocery shopping. The quick and easy recipes are perfect for weeknights. Starting point is 00:46:59 Yeah, that's pretty good. You sounded good, comfortable. Oh, thank you. Okay. I mean, I just bought someone. I already get it. Yes. Okay, write your scores down, guys. From 1 to 10. 10, yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:10 All right, go on first to our executive producer, Scoobo Steve. Scoo Steve, what do you rate that performance? Given that I know this is her first time doing it, Rip and Reed, I'll give her a seven. Okay, Amy? That's exactly what I have, a seven. It is exactly what I have a seven. Oh. So Abby, with a total score of 21 in her first ever commercial read.
Starting point is 00:47:28 Wow. And by the way, she's performing at Bobby Fest. She's on the bill now. If you missed it. Look at her. Okay. Next up is Lunchbox. Oh.
Starting point is 00:47:39 Same commercial lunchbox. She'll have 30 seconds. Are you... I don't know why you're laughing already. If you go over, it's like price is right. You can stay under. Just don't go over. Oh.
Starting point is 00:47:50 Okay. Here we go. You have 30 seconds. And I will start whenever you're ready. Yeah, whenever I'm ready. All right, okay. There's a lot of exciting things happening this fall. I want to focus on what's important, not what's for dinner.
Starting point is 00:48:03 Luckily, Hello Fresh delivers everything I need, and it's 30% cheaper than grocery shopping. The quick and easy recipes are perfect for weeknights. With Hello Fresh, I actually have time to enjoy my meal. Go to Hellofresh.com slash bones 14 and use code Bones 14 for up to 14 free meals plus free shipping. That's code Bones 14 for 14 free meals
Starting point is 00:48:26 at Hellofresh.com slash bones 14. Good job. You have 33 seconds. Now he's not just qualified, but there'll be a slight deduction. No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. Excuse me? I didn't hear how time Abby had.
Starting point is 00:48:39 She was 28. I didn't hear that. She was under it. So just know that he went over three seconds, and I did say before he read, you can't go over. Yeah, he always goes over. I saw him used to that. He does?
Starting point is 00:48:48 All the time. That's more air time for the client. That's not how it works. You have to build it into a... No, that means Steve has to edit it down somehow. Unless you're doing it live, which a lot of times we can be. I nailed it. You did a great read.
Starting point is 00:49:03 It was. Yeah, you did. You nailed it. Okay. Scoobie Steve. Yes. He did a great job, but he did go over. So for that, I had to dock him, and I'm going to give him a seven for the read.
Starting point is 00:49:14 Amy? Oh, wow, I have nine. Oh, wow. Did you give him a 10 until you docked him? Oh, you got a dock for the night. I guess I'm not docking him for the time because he said he didn't know or whatever. I just said it to him right before we went on the air. I know, but he thought, I guess in his mind, for the last 16, 17 years, he thought he could go over.
Starting point is 00:49:34 But you have to dock him, though, right? Is that the rule? Oh, okay. No, I have nine. Okay, nine. Oh, boy. Then I'll dock him two. No, no, no.
Starting point is 00:49:42 You can't change your score. What is this? What is this? I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding. I'll knock on one. Seven. I give him a seven too. So a nine and two sevens, 25. Is that right? Guys? Don't ask us. No, I'm just right. I have no idea. 23. Thank you. See?
Starting point is 00:50:02 All right. Next stop will be our producer, Eddie. Now, if you go over 30 seconds, you'll get docked a point by each person except for Amy who might bonus you. Right, right. Good. Thank you, Amy. Eddie, all you ready? I guess. I'm not good at this. Here's Eddie's Reed. Go ahead. Here we go. There's a lot of exciting things happening this fall,

Starting point is 00:50:43 dot com slash bones 14. 28 seconds. Woo! Yeah. So do I get docked for going under? You don't get, no, no, no, no, you just get docked for it sounded like you were rushing. I mean, you sound like you were in a real hurry. I didn't want to go that over.
Starting point is 00:50:57 He didn't critique you. Stop with the critiquing of each other. No, he did. He did. Scoo of Steve, there's Eddie. Go ahead. Yeah, he did sound rushed. Lunchbox was correct. He was a little nervous sounding and he added a word in there.
Starting point is 00:51:08 But you can add words. What word? I had words all the time. Okay, well, some of these dudes say you have to read them verbatim. and this one does have that at the top. I don't listen to that. What is happening? Yeah, but he did a great job, and I like it.
Starting point is 00:51:20 I did like how he sounded, so I'm going to give him a eight. Yeah! Okay. Amy? Oh, okay, I gave Eddie a nine. Yeah! You guys are,
Starting point is 00:51:32 you guys have lost your mind if you think he was as good as I was. Let him judge. Scooby gave him a better score than me. You had a score if you had it within time, but you were over, so I could cut you a point. But a point. He was rushed. He changed words and you gave the same score.
Starting point is 00:51:47 They got 9-8. You gave a higher score. That's ridiculous. No, I gave him the same. Scuba. Oh, okay. Come on, Buzz. It was a little rushed, but let's say.
Starting point is 00:51:55 I'm going to give you what I gave lunchbox as a seven. He would have gotten an eight for me had not been docked, but I'm giving you a seven as well. That's so ridiculous. Undocked seven. Okay. So that puts me where? 24. You're in the lead.
Starting point is 00:52:09 Okay, let's go. Okay, okay. That's absolutely insane. We're about to get crushed, though. Morgan number two can read. I feel like Ray's the best commercial person ever. Oh, Ray's sitting back there, right? Just like, I got you guys.
Starting point is 00:52:21 Wait for it. Okay, Morgan number two, you have 30 seconds. Okay. There are two people left. You're competing for 50 bucks and your recommendation for sales to do more spots. All right, here we go. And whenever you're ready. There's a lot of exciting things happening this fall.
Starting point is 00:52:34 I want to focus on what's important, not what's for dinner. Luckily, Hello Fresh delivers everything I need, and it's 30% cheaper than gross. shopping. Your timing is right on. Morgan number two, head of digital, doing a commercial here.
Starting point is 00:53:16 Scoobo, what do you have? I have a nine. That was great pacing, sounded wonderful, and right on time. Amy? 10. Wow. I'm buying it. Thanks, Amy.
Starting point is 00:53:24 14. Hello, fresh. Good job, Morgan. I give you eight. That's really good. Wow, you're a stickler. That's the highest score I've given anybody. Oh, but I mean, what could she?
Starting point is 00:53:32 She was better netting. Yeah, that's why she got a better score. No, she got an eight and eight. No, that's how that works. That's how that works. That's exactly right. That's how that works. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 00:53:41 Okay, next up. Last one, Ramundo, our audio producer. How you feeling? I feel good. I got to pretty much go perfect here on this one. You do. The high score is 27. Morgan number two, competing for 50 bucks,
Starting point is 00:53:53 and also the big recommendation to the big man upstairs. I'm talking about Jesus. I'm talking about literally the people upstairs who are asking for commercial readers. All right, here we go. There's a lot of exciting things happening this fall. I want to focus on what's important. What's for dinner?
Starting point is 00:54:08 Luckily, Hello Fresh delivers anything I need, and it's 30% cheaper than grocery shopping. The quick and easy recipes are perfect for wheat nights. With HelloFresh, I actually have time to enjoy my meals. Go to hellofresh.com slash Bones14. Use the code Bones 14 for up to 14 free meals plus free shipping. That's code Bones 14 for 14 free meals at hellofresh.com slash bones 14. Exactly.
Starting point is 00:54:36 I mean, with that little rush you got in at time. Were you timing it in there? Yes. Yeah. I was like, he's crazy. He's creeping. He's creeping. Wow.
Starting point is 00:54:45 Oh, Bray, you were killing it. You were on pace to set a record. You were on pace. And then he turned into like a car salesman at the end where it's like, M.SRP. It was like, Descartes. Scuba? Shoot. I had to give him a nine.
Starting point is 00:54:58 That was great, but there were some things that had docked for. A nine was pretty good. Wow. A nine. What in the world? They're in love. What? They like each other.
Starting point is 00:55:07 This is ridiculous. You say they're in love? I mean, there's, there's, last room love or something. Yes, I agree with you. Eddie? Amy? I mean, I was so ready to give that a 10, but in the end, so I got to give him a nine. That's ridiculous. What is happening? What is wrong? What was wrong with that besides the end? Exactly. That was like half the, I mean, that's a quarter of the whole thing.
Starting point is 00:55:32 No, it was like the last second, like his both 14. He's a... If you heard that on the radio, would you be like, oh, wait, wait, wait. You'd be like, someone messed up audio. You'd be like, that didn't sound right. Yeah. Nines. Get out of here. What's wrong with that? Ray, I can't give you a 10. That's so dumb.
Starting point is 00:55:53 I would have given you a 10 if you did not sped up. I'm going to give you an eight. Dang it. I know. I'll take you though. Wait, so where does that put in? That puts them in second place with our winner being Morgan number. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:08 Proud winner of 50 bucks and the recommendation to the big man upstairs. Thank you. I agree with that. She was good. You two, Lunchbox and Eddie hate each other so much. They only didn't want each other to win. That's all that was for them to do. There's a lot of fight right here.
Starting point is 00:56:22 But to be fair, Eddie did beat Lunchbox in the commercial arena politician. I mean, whatever. If you want to judge it by you guys, that's terrible. I mean, we guys... I don't understand how you gave Eddie a higher score than me. That was better. You went over the time.
Starting point is 00:56:36 There's one exciting things happened this fall. That's what Eddie sounded like. He sounded like a sped-up Energizer Bunny. I mean, it was ridiculously bad. Morgan, congratulations. Thank you so much. I don't know what you're going to do with all your money to come rolling in, but that'd be...
Starting point is 00:56:48 I mean, maybe I'm going to go buy some Hello Fresh. There you go. Hello Fresh got like $10 million for advertising right there. That's get sunday.com. I saw I Heart Country tweeted Name a country album that doesn't have one bad song Can you guys do that? Yeah One album
Starting point is 01:00:46 Morgan you won the last game So I'll go to you here What album country album does not have one bad song So I still remember vividly when this album came out And it's Dan and Shays where it all began And it's their debut album I love this entire thing I played it on repeat
Starting point is 01:01:04 Probably 500 times at least and I know every word to every song on this album. So good. Even the album cuts and never made it as singles. Everything. Do you feel like some of their other albums then haven't been as perfect? No, I feel like they have.
Starting point is 01:01:17 I think this was just the start of it and I was so in love with them from the beginning and I was like a huge fan. At the time, like they hadn't blown up yet. So I was like, this is really good. Like I want to see them succeed and then, you know, here they are and they're huge stars now. You can sing every single song to every single lyric to every single song.
Starting point is 01:01:33 Yes. Wow. I mean, I love it. Like I had the same. CD of the song is how much I loved it. Amy, what about you? A country album that doesn't have one bad song. I went with Old Dominion happy endings. That's a good one too. Yeah, I was talking to Caitlin. We were having the conversation of who is a country artist right now that you'd be like, oh, I can't wait to go to their show. You can't count Garth. You're talking about somebody who's
Starting point is 01:01:56 kind of hitting in the last five years for the first time. And her answer was John Party. And my answer was Old Dominion because they just don't put out bad songs. And I like album cuts from Old Dominion. Yeah. No, I mean, on that album in particular, I love written in the sand and stars in the city. Eddie? Oh, mine's easy. I'm going to have to go back to Garth Brooks Rope in the Wind. Oh, you're going old school. I mean, dude, I had that in tape.
Starting point is 01:02:20 So, one, I was forced to listen to every song, but there was no bad song. You're talking rodeo. You're talking shameless, the river. Papa Love Mama. Oh, dude. It's full of hits. Yeah, the classics. It's been around a long time, too. You can learn all
Starting point is 01:02:36 the other songs. Lunchbox? It's easy. Zach Brown Band, the foundation. Their first album, you can just listen to that and every song is like, man, that's so good. Oh, that should be a hit. That should be a hit. Every song is excellent. Mine is same trailer, different part from Casey Musgraves. It's good. Just listen to every, it was one of the rare albums. You just hit plate and you let it play all the way through. It was good.
Starting point is 01:03:11 And then, you know, Golden Hour. Listen, I like same trailer different part more than I did Golden Hour. I love Golden Hour. Yeah, I mean, I did too. Casey's probably my favorite contemporary artist, her and Old Dominion. But, man, that same trailer, different park record was awesome. You guys can put it up. We'll tweet this out too.
Starting point is 01:03:29 We'll steal their tweet. And we'll put it up too. And you guys can tell us. Ray, did you have a country album that doesn't have a bad song? Yeah, it was the artist's first album. It was Montaballo, Sam Hunt. It was absolutely epic. How did you say it?
Starting point is 01:03:40 Montevallo? Yeah, okay. I think I mispronounced it at first, but that's when I fell in love with Sam Hunt. I thought ecstasy never really made the radio. That was probably the best one off that album. House Party was on the radio. He had singles, multiple ones from that album. Would you pay money to hang out with Sam Hunt for a night? I mean, how much? Well, I'm saying if there's like a charity auction, like, hey, you get to go, have dinner with Sam, talk to him three hours, play basketball, $500. Yeah, that'd be sick.
Starting point is 01:04:09 How much would you pay? I'll pay 500. But, I mean, there's going to be pressure for me to keep it cool then. You know, I mean, it's like, oh, I'm not a total weird. He already knows you're not cool with him. I know, but I mean, it's like, sure, I pay the $500, but I don't want him to think I'm a goober. Well, he knows that every time you comment on every post he puts up. But yeah, I would, maybe if he didn't find out that I paid to do it.
Starting point is 01:04:30 But then how would you be invited to San Juan's house? Maybe his label hooked it up. And his label's like, hey, it was a competition. Is he your hero? Yes. He's the first country artist that came. in here and I was like, oh my gosh, why did I not become a country artist? I love country artist and what this dude does. But like my hero, David Letterman, for example, right? I can't interview him. He's never been on the show, but that would be a hero.
Starting point is 01:04:53 You is Sam Hunt your hero? He was my hero. I went to one of his shows at Dave and Buster before even people knew about him. There were college kids dancing on tables. They had to shut the show down because it got too big for Dave and Busters. And I was like, oh my gosh, this guy's the biggest thing I've ever seen before he even blew up. So he's your hero. Yes. He's the reason why Ray's questioning why he didn't become a country artist. His voice, his swag, how his music is, all of it altogether, amazing. Ray, can you sing? No.
Starting point is 01:05:21 Oh, okay. Well, that could be another reason. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Oh, man, there was a family in Ohio that they were at Granny's house, and they said, Granny, Granny, we're going to help you out and clean this house. It needs a little bit of redo around the house. So they started with a refrigerator.
Starting point is 01:05:41 They cleaned all the stuff, the food that's been old, the freezer, vegetables, and all sorts of stuff. Meat. And then Granny goes, oh, they threw everything in the trash. And then Granny goes, did you find an envelope in there? Because I have an envelope of $25,000 in cash. And they were like, Granny, we already threw it in the trash. And the truck had already taken it. So they called the waste department.
Starting point is 01:06:02 They say, hey, we have cash somewhere in the truck. This is our address. And so the manager of the company said, hang on, let me call dispatch and we can get the trucks. Maybe they haven't hit the landfill. So sure enough, the trucks had not made it to the landfill. They stopped the truck, took all the trash out. Oh, man. And they found Granny's money.
Starting point is 01:06:20 They did find it. $25,000 in cash. That's a lot of trash to dig through. For 25 grand, you can count me in. That's right. I'm in and trash bags cover my body, but I'm going to find that money. Dang. Pretty cool, Granny.
Starting point is 01:06:32 Poor Granny. Well, she was just like letting them clean out and then goes, oh, wait a second. I forgot to have money in there. There you go. Hey, those trash guys did. Hopefully they got a little piece of that. I don't say that, and I don't think they did. Like $100 maybe. I mean, it doesn't say that and I just don't
Starting point is 01:06:47 think they did. It was nice of them, but I don't think they got cash. Once you reach out and do a little something for them. All right, I will. There you go. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. What's happening of friends? Hit us up. 877-77 Bobby. That is our phone number.
Starting point is 01:07:04 Never called a radio show before. Now has the time. 877-77-B-O-B-B-Y. Bobby's Big. Stories. I mean, I've got a feel-good one, kind of. Well, David Schwimmer and Jen Aniston were supposed to be dating. Oh, yeah, I know. And that made me feel good?
Starting point is 01:07:24 Yeah, same. In real life? Yeah. Then I read today they weren't, so it didn't make me feel good anymore. I know. There were reports that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer had finally acted on the crush they spoke about during the Friends' 25th reunion special, a rep for David said there's no truth to the rumors.
Starting point is 01:07:41 So no Ross and Rachel. I wouldn't just let that go for a while. Uh-huh, yeah. Unless he's with somebody else and is making his home life miserable that this rumor's out there, I would have let that go for a minute. Who does it hurt?
Starting point is 01:07:52 I mean, we need the positivity right now. Chinese leaders are getting claims of brainwashing from citizens after they've blacklisted a lot of karaoke songs starting October 1st. Some of the songs they've blacklisted, that including a song called Fart. Never heard of it. Oh, there's a whole list of songs I've never heard of
Starting point is 01:08:11 that they've blacklisted here. Because they brainwash? Well, in China, you just don't get to run free and sing any song you want. I can see that. Yeah, but some of the songs that they listed here that I haven't heard of, I love Taiwanese girls, Beijing hooligans,
Starting point is 01:08:28 don't want to go to school. Oh, yeah. I could see how we don't want that message. Yeah. We can't have people having that mantra in their head. I would like to ban a few things with karaoke, though. I was thinking about this. I would first ban Queen Bohemian Rhapsody.
Starting point is 01:08:44 It's too long. Nobody wants to see you get up there and do that song for that long. I don't get how good you are. No, it's not. No, no. Nobody wants to see anyone do this song. When you start to go, I think people would like to see me do this song. Listen to this clip.
Starting point is 01:08:58 No one. If you just want to do a part of the song and then call it, like you go up to the guy and go, hey, I'm going to do this thing apart. when it gets to thy see you a little you can pull it down and I'll wave and walk off stage but I would as music minister of America I would ban Queen Bohemian Rhapsody I would then ban Journey
Starting point is 01:09:16 Don't Stop Believing by any single singer That's a group karaoke song only Oh wow Because it's fun when two or three people get up and do it But one person, they always think they can sing a little too good This is a really hard song to sing Now I like it being able to be saying But one person should not get up and sing this song
Starting point is 01:09:33 That's a good point. It ends up sounding like, Don't stop, believe it! You're like, oh my goodness. And you can't even enjoy it because they're screeching. Now, a group love it. So that song should only be allowed to groups of two or more. And then finally, I would eliminate Kanye Gold Digger.
Starting point is 01:09:51 Why? Nobody can quite pull it off. I've yet to see a karaoke performance that can pull it off. Everybody thinks they can sing along with it in the car, but once it gets on stage and you're having to keep up with the words, nobody quite does this song. Oh. And so I would eliminate this song as well
Starting point is 01:10:05 Unless you can prove in like a junior varsity league Or send in a video and upload it if you're doing it You have to prove it first Yes, you have to prove it Because I love the song But anytime I see anyone to karaoke do it They just can't stay on it And it's not as easy as singing along in the car
Starting point is 01:10:19 So I and then I would also eliminate any song Over three minutes and 15 seconds long Oh my. Well karaoke bars should just do that in general If you're going to have a karaoke list supply of music, you should make sure that all the edits are below 315. Let's cut out the guitar solos.
Starting point is 01:10:36 That's always awkward when it says guitar solo and the person's got to stand on stage and just like do nothing. Or it's like Hotel California with a guitar solo at the end. And the beginning. Both!
Starting point is 01:10:47 Karaoke needs to be, boom, boom, boom. Let's have some fun next person up. I started the story thinking China was crazy. I ended it going, you know what? They're on to something. And then finally, if three times make a trend, then taping unruly passengers to the airplane is the thing right now.
Starting point is 01:11:05 Oh, it happened again? This is from CBSLA. Back, what, last month, we talked about a woman who tried to open the door to the airplane. Last week there was a story of a guy groping flight attendants, and now a 13-year-old boy has gotten the duct tape treatment. Oh, my. The teenager allegedly threw a tantrum while flying from Maui to Los Angeles with his mom and tried to kick out one of the plane's windows.
Starting point is 01:11:26 Whoa. No. The crew members restrained him and then duct taped him to the seat. The plane was diverted to Honolulu where the boy was arrested. Here is a clip from CBS Los Angeles. Another disturbance on a flight to LAX caught on camera. Witnesses tell us tonight a 13-year-old boy tried kicking the window out next to his seat and became physical with his own mother.
Starting point is 01:11:47 We're told it happened one hour into that American Airlines flight from Maui. Fellow passengers helping restrain the boy and then appeared a flight attendant duct taped that child to his seat. The plane was then diverted to Honolulu. The boy was thin, taken into custody, and no one was injured. Oh, my. I mean... I wonder if there's duct tape training now they have to do. All right, it's Tuesday, guys.
Starting point is 01:12:07 Everybody gets your duct tape out. Supplies you have to bring with you. People are so messed up right now. People have gone berserk. If I see somebody trying to kick out a window, that to me scares me. So now do we add duct tape to our carry-on? You take it in your pocket. And anybody that gives you any lip or talks or kicks your seat, just duct tape them to the seat.
Starting point is 01:12:25 Save the flight attendants some time And just get to duct tapeing Sometimes I want to duct tape lunchbox in this room When he was being mean to Abby yesterday When she was singing Maybe we can start doing that I wouldn't mean I was honest How about like duct tape Tuesday
Starting point is 01:12:40 And every Tuesday we all bring duct tape And anybody we don't like We try to hold them down and duct tape them I don't want to do that That's the news, thank you Those were Bobby's big Stories Let me run this by you.
Starting point is 01:12:59 A best man gave a speech at a wedding. He did a little joke about the bridesmaids. It didn't go over well. Which was? This story is from 9.com. And I guess I just feel for the guy because someone who gets paid to tell jokes sometimes, sometimes jokes just don't work.
Starting point is 01:13:14 And in your heart, and you wrote them for a good reason, and they just don't hit. So this guy's a comedian? No, I don't know. That's the case. But sometimes in a wedding, it's tough to find the right mix of
Starting point is 01:13:26 being heartfelt and sincerity with a little bit of humor. And so a guy throws an impromptu joke at the end of his speech. It backfired. He was asked to leave the wedding by the bride. You want to hear the speech? I have to, yes.
Starting point is 01:13:40 I have to. He goes on, talks about a couple, the guy, the girl. He said, bridesmaids, I'm a bit short of time here and I don't really know you all. So I just like to say that five out of six of you look stunning today.
Starting point is 01:13:54 Figure out amongst yourselves. Ooh. Now, I don't think he was addressing anyone specifically. That was just a joke. That was just a joke. I don't think he was looking at one of them and going figured out. I think he was just going, five out of six of you guys look great, you guys figured out. As a joke that didn't hit.
Starting point is 01:14:08 I don't think he was targeting one single person. Yeah, no, who could be that cruel? Right. But guys, if they were all tens, that joke wouldn't even like, okay, that would be like, ha-ha-ha. But if there's one, though, that the whole wedding is like, ooh. I don't think he would have said that if that was the case. Right. But you don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:25 I know you're right, I don't know. I'm like, I feel as someone who has bombed jokes on a big stage before, like I feel bad for the guy that I think he was just trying to be funny. Yeah, because now suddenly all the bridesmaids are self-conscious and everyone at the reception is staring at them and trying to figure out which one he's talking about. But I don't think he was talking about one. I think anyone with half a brain would know he's not really talking about one.
Starting point is 01:14:49 Yeah, but people are just automatically going to figure it out just for fun, even if he wasn't serious. and looks or relative. He later messaged everyone to apologize and also posted a public apology on the wedding Facebook page, but that only resulted on the bride's grandma
Starting point is 01:15:01 telling him off in a message. Oh, dang, the grandma? It doesn't end. Wow. Grandma got involved. I mean... Well, you know she's on Facebook. Of course.
Starting point is 01:15:09 She's on Instagram or TikTok. I feel bad for the guy because I don't think he did that with any malicious intent. Mm-hmm. I don't think I would ask him to leave, but obviously they weren't the bride and her people weren't close to him.
Starting point is 01:15:23 He could have been, you know, like some of your groomsmen, you know, we hadn't seen in years. You're close to them, yes, but some of the bridesmaids had never met some of them. Sometimes there's just a joke that you're borderline about and you don't do. I did that because I went into the governor's mansion and there were a bunch of people there for charity deal. And they wanted me to get up and tell jokes. And I did half an hour of comedy that I wrote just for that situation. And there were a couple jokes. And I went to the governor with one joke.
Starting point is 01:15:53 and I said, hey, I'm not going to do this joke, but I'd like to read it to him and he went, that's funny, don't do it. I said, I know, I got you. I'm not doing that joke. But sometimes, you just got to go, probably not for me to do this joke right now. I don't think he should have been in trouble for that one, though.
Starting point is 01:16:11 So, there it is. I hope everybody's good. We're going to grab some calls in a second. I see all the lines filling up. I want to remind you, Dan and Shea will be on the show tomorrow. Love those guys. They have a new record that's coming out, you know at midnight tonight so they'll be in tomorrow we're actually we're up marrying a new
Starting point is 01:16:26 song tomorrow as well from them whenever we got married which has been three or four weeks or so July 17th almost a month I feel like I give some people some good wedding after a month I can just oh yeah I've been through I've been through it yeah so prepare a lot about marriage we and we can talk about this tomorrow I ask Dan and Shea who I'm friends with to sing at the wedding which I think was harder for me to do than someone I'm not friends with because we have a relationship where we don't do a lot of work stuff out of work. You know, that relationship is built on humans. And I was like, hey, guys, we sing this song.
Starting point is 01:16:59 And they have so many wedding songs. And I think they thought I was going to ask them to sing from the ground out. Speechless. Oh, good one. Yeah, I could glad you exist. And instead, I was like, hey, we can do a cover from Full House. So Full House, Jesse was in a, Uncle Jesse was in a group called Jesse and the Rippers. And at his wedding, he's in a full tucks.
Starting point is 01:17:18 He sits down at the piano and he sings forever to. Aunt Becky Rebecca, here you go. Kayla and I both love that. And so it's originally an old Beach Boy song. And so I said, hey guys, will you guys sing forever at the wedding? They were like, yeah, love to do it. And then afterward, and we played a clip of this a few weeks ago, but I just wanted to play it again as they come in tomorrow.
Starting point is 01:17:56 Dan and Shea, and I think Dan was late to rehearsal. Oh, he didn't even come. Oh, he didn't come. He was producing it. Abby, his wife. was in Caitlin's side of the wedding. But Dan didn't come, and it turns out he was trying to finish this track in the studio. So I'll play you up until the chorus.
Starting point is 01:18:12 This is Dan and Shay doing forever from Jesse. I like to say Jesse and the Rippers. And this is the studio version from our wedding. If every word I said could make you laugh, I'd talk forever. I'd ask the sky just what we had. It's shown forever. Forever my love If the song I sing to you
Starting point is 01:19:01 With joy I sing forever Dan and Shea The only place you'll hear That's right here Coming up on the 8th Not the new single Nah
Starting point is 01:19:29 That's not gonna be on the album either Because they produced that Just as a gift I think if they do like a bonus version of the album That'd be cool They should put that on there I think people will like that
Starting point is 01:19:38 Over on the phones Is Deanna in California Deanna Thank you for waking up And calling the show What's going on? Morning Studio Morning.
Starting point is 01:19:47 I want to say, so yesterday I watched your video where it's all dramatic on Instagram. So, and then I laughed about it. And if I put it on the show, you're Breaking Bolly Bones. And I put it on the background noise while I was doing my other stuff, you know, mom duties. So then my son walks in. He's like, what are you watching? I'm like, oh, I'm watching Breaking Bobones. And he's like, oh, okay.
Starting point is 01:20:09 So he sits there and he watches it. And I'm doing my thing. I come back and he's like two episodes beat. And I'm like, and then he's like, I watch two episodes. I was like, okay, good. If you got to get in the shower, though. And so then he wakes up early because we leave early this morning. And he's like, I want to watch the Bolly Bone show.
Starting point is 01:20:26 I was like, okay, let me put it on Disney Plus. So then we're leaving the house. He's like, I still want to watch it. I was like, well, give me a tablet. I'll download Disney Plus. You can watch it on the way to school. Yeah, that kid needs candy. He needs whatever that kid likes he needs.
Starting point is 01:20:40 That's a good kid right there. Ice cream. Yeah, he needs candy and ice cream. He needs that ice cream that were the sour snakes. Are in the ice cream? Do you ever have that back in the day? Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's, dang. Well, thank you for sharing that, Deanna.
Starting point is 01:20:52 We put up eight new episodes yesterday on Disney Plus. I want to tell you something about Disney Plus. You know, you go to it, and there are four things. There's like Marvel, Disney, there's Star Wars. Star Wars and Nat Geo, right? There's those four. On that, you can click Nat Geo and go see Breaking Bobby Bones. But I go over and I look at the what's trending.
Starting point is 01:21:11 And it's all shows for like five-year-olds on Disney Plus on the what's trending. It's like Mickey gets a car. You know, Daffy eats crackers. Cartoons. Yeah. And so, is Daffy? No. No, Daffy's not, Disney.
Starting point is 01:21:28 Okay. Donald Ducky's crackers. So it's all these kids shows. And I know, we're not over trending. There's hardly any adult shows on there. I did see Thor. But my goal in life, my new goal is to be trending on Disney Plus. And so that's why I ask you, if you just have it, just turn it on and let it play.
Starting point is 01:21:46 If it trends on Disney Plus, I will give a random caller. How much money do I have in my bank? In your wallet? He said bank. In my bank. How much do I have in my wallet? $20. $45.
Starting point is 01:22:02 If it ends up turning on Disney Plus, I'll just take a collar on money and give $45. Yeah, that's right. Don't spend all that in one place. Thank you for that. We're very proud of that show. How about we go talk to Lynn in Ohio? Lynn, you're on the Bobby Bone Show. What's going on?
Starting point is 01:22:19 Good morning, everyone. Good morning. I was hoping you guys to give me some advice with an Instagram situation with my boyfriend for you. Okay, go ahead. So he follow about 95% of the people that he follows on Instagram are the young women that posted TV pictures all day long. And he comments on that pictures and likes them. And he also is very active in our church, so we live together, but we have a platonic relationship because we're not married.
Starting point is 01:22:53 So it's become this huge problem for me, because it just really bothers me that he doesn't want anything to do with me now. So he looks at these pictures in common. Is it... She's cutting out a little bit. She's cutting out. Is it your boyfriend, or is it someone you're living with, you say, a platonic relationship? Which one is it? It's my boyfriend
Starting point is 01:23:16 Okay And he follows a bunch of Model Instagram models The commenting on the pictures Is always weird to me Like what do you think you're gonna get out of commenting on Yeah like he doesn't know these people Yeah
Starting point is 01:23:28 And also It's almost like a perv account If 95% of the people you're following Are young Instagram models In swimsuits That's weird too I think it's time to get a new boyfriend Huh
Starting point is 01:23:40 But I'm confused by the platonic thing What's he saying On the comments too? Monogamous? Is he putting certain vegetables up there? Oh, we know which one. Stop. Wait, do you mean monogamous, not platonic?
Starting point is 01:23:54 No, I do mean platonic. Like, we have not, you know, I mean, we live together, but we don't. Okay, hold on. But do you kiss and hold hands and say romantic things? We don't have a romantic relationship, is what I'd say. But it's your boyfriend? But it's your boyfriend? That's your boyfriend.
Starting point is 01:24:10 No. That's your friend that's a boy. He's your roommate. And then he, who cares if he's posting a, on girls. Wait, so y'all don't go on dates? Because we lived together for four years without that kind of relationship. It's created a huge dysfunction.
Starting point is 01:24:25 And one of the pictures in particular that he comments on was a woman in a very 50 black dress and he had a smiley face, dot, dot, dot, dot, beautiful heart emoji. Okay, yeah, wait, would he say you're his girlfriend? Yes, exactly. Is he real? Like, can you, like...
Starting point is 01:24:41 Okay, I don't... This is clearly an interesting situation. It is more interesting than... the question about Instagram. Yeah. Because if it's someone whose boyfriend won't stop commenting
Starting point is 01:24:50 on Hot Girls Instagram that's like, hey, get a new boyfriend or he needs to stop doing that. It's cut and dry. If it makes you that uncomfortable that he does that, he should stop doing that.
Starting point is 01:25:00 Okay. However, if you're living with your boyfriend but it's Platonic, that goes a lot deeper than Instagram. Do you all plan on becoming not Platonic?
Starting point is 01:25:11 That was the plan all along. But like I said, he's very active in our church and we live in a very small town, and when people found out that I was actually living here, some of the people from church gave him a pretty hard time about it. Because you're, but if you're not living together, why would church, if you're not living in sin, why would church care? Because it's not a sinful relationship.
Starting point is 01:25:32 It's just a couple of roommates. We just assumed that we were living in this day. Yeah. But so the plan all along was to get married? Exactly. Does he know that? He hasn't asked me yet. And, like, this situation is really created.
Starting point is 01:25:46 I've had to start telehealth me because I feel like it's all, there's something along with me. Because I'm never going to look like those women that he likes on his brand. Yeah, and you're not supposed to. Yeah, you're not supposed to. You don't want to. You don't want to look like that. Yeah. Well, thank, if you do have, I'm sorry that you've had to start therapy over this.
Starting point is 01:26:06 And if you do have a therapist, though, I would take this to them. And then I would start building out a plan for you to be healthier in that. clearly mentally this isn't good for you, and maybe you need to remove yourself from that situation. It sounds to me like this is way bigger than the Instagram question. Yeah. I wouldn't even lead with the Instagram question. I'm going to therapy, but this is my living situation.
Starting point is 01:26:27 This is what I feel. Yeah. And this is what... Is he on the same page as all I'm wondering? Because I don't... Without knowing him, it doesn't feel like he is. And then y'all need to make decisions that are good for you, not good for people at your church.
Starting point is 01:26:39 And, yeah, I would just find if you have a safe place to go or you have... Like, I mean, you know, like you can afford to go somewhere else or someone else can maybe let you stay with them for a little bit or something. Maybe you test that out and figure out removing yourself. Because, yeah, it seems like this is not going where you thought, and it's been four years. And if you're in therapy over it, it's time to maybe make some moves. Well, who owns the house? Yeah. If you own the house, kick his butt out.
Starting point is 01:27:04 I mean, I don't feel like she's unsafe. No, I mean, safe, like you have somewhere to go, not just like physically. I mean, like you can take care of yourself. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, Lynn, we appreciate your call And I hope you do get some help and kind of figure out Where you need to go in the next steps of your life But to me that doesn't sound like
Starting point is 01:27:22 That the Instagram is the biggest part of your Your day-to-day life The biggest issue with your day-day life I appreciate it All right, see you later Yeah Bye bye bye Bye-bye
Starting point is 01:27:33 I hate that for I know that went from like I was It would have been a lot easier if I could have said Drop the loser Right right right Dirty perv Yeah Complicated
Starting point is 01:27:41 I just want to know he was writing on the messages. Yeah, I know me too. Got it a little bit complicated. All right, thank you. Starting point is 01:31:34 Caitlin and I talk about this now when it's time to have a kid like I would like to have that kid around September or October. Why? Well, because they're going to be the oldest in their grade. And if you're older, especially early on, you're bigger. And if you're bigger, you're a little smarter and you're physically more able. So you get put on all-star teams. So you get more training.
Starting point is 01:31:51 Of course, you're thinking about all this already. Well, there's a whole part of outliers too. This is, you know, they look. So that's been a conversation where she's like, why are you doing data? Right. I'm like, well, why would I not? That's what I do. I'm always trying to think.
Starting point is 01:32:06 And so, you know, there are these. studies, they do. Any January birthdays? No? Well, if you're born in January, odds are you'll be in the like debt collector or doctor. Oh, okay. Cool. Any February birthdays? Artists?
Starting point is 01:32:23 February's artist-y people and also someone who would do a job like a traffic cop. Okay. Very different. March. Here we go. That's me. Oh, wow. Well, interesting. Musicians. That's me? Yeah. It says pilots and musicians. Oh.
Starting point is 01:32:40 Maybe they meant marrying pilots. Maybe, yeah. April, which is my birthday. Come on. It says dictators. Oh, boy. No, it doesn't. I swear to you.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Hitler, Saddam Hussein, Vladimir, Lenin were all April babies. That's scary. What? Yikes. That is, I don't know if I'd want to read that. Come on, man. That's weird. I think I would be a pretty good leader.
Starting point is 01:33:00 Yeah, don't use the D word. Well, here's what I would do. If for some reason, America came to me and said, we want to make you dictator, I would say no. I do like George Washington. I would say, you know what? I don't want to be king. I said, but if there's ever a situation where everybody's even, I'll come in as the final.
Starting point is 01:33:15 Like, I'll weigh in if there's a tie. I would be the tie settling leader. I don't want to be a leader. I love democracy. I love capitalism and democracy. Two of my favorite things. I should put that in my bio. Okay.
Starting point is 01:33:29 Can't get enough capitalism. Can't get enough democracy. But if there's a tie, I'll be sitting right here. You guys let me know. Because I feel like I'm pretty sensible. May politicians. June, CEOs, and Nobel Prize winners.
Starting point is 01:33:46 Oh, man, I missed it by a month. Wait for it. This is last month. July. Yeah. Brick layers and train drivers. That makes sense. Dang it.
Starting point is 01:33:54 August. Brick layers again. They couldn't think of something else? I don't know. Athletes and physicists in September. Yeah. Well, so there you go. There's back to your theory.
Starting point is 01:34:05 Athletes and smart people Ray is a good athlete It's not my theory I just read it I'm gonna start getting credit For something I had nothing to do with Except Reddit Back to the theory
Starting point is 01:34:14 October Yes Not a job But you're more likely To live to be 100 years old Hey that's pretty cool November Any November's
Starting point is 01:34:22 Cereal killers or schizophrenics Again not jobs But that's what April and November are rough And then December's dentists April they just put bad dictators there I would say
Starting point is 01:34:34 That sounds rough But leaders. I wish they would use the word. Did it say bad? Well, they listed three that were bad. It's such dictator. But I wish they would have put leaders. Like George Washington, they said, George, be the king of America.
Starting point is 01:34:44 When was his birthday? George Washington? February, huh? Oh. How do you know that? I don't know if it's true. I don't know if it's true. Like, that would be crazy.
Starting point is 01:34:53 It's either February or March. But let's go to Mike D. Unless I'm really. February 22nd. Oh, do you celebrate George Washington Day? Is that why? I celebrate every day. I celebrate every day.
Starting point is 01:35:02 I think they celebrate that in Mexico, right, Eddie? George Washington? I don't know. Think about George Washington for a second. I'm going to say. Right? I mean, he, George Washington as a young man was a great fighter. General.
Starting point is 01:35:15 But was a great soldier, leader, moved up in the ranks. Like, he didn't just show up with his white-haired wig and be like, I'm ready to lead. Like, he was out in the battlefield, fighting it before he was even a general. And so he climbs his way up. He's president. They say, you stay president forever. Think of what that you have to do inside yourself to go, you know what?
Starting point is 01:35:39 I don't think I should be president forever. I think I should be able to, we should do these term things. And then someone else should be president. Wow, that was his idea? Wild. Didn't know that. They wanted to be king, Georgia Washington.
Starting point is 01:35:53 His birthday is February 22nd, 1732. Great day in history. Oh, yeah. I'm impressed you know so much about George Washington. It's not that I know so much. it's just I like I like that kind I like to read about leaders you know
Starting point is 01:36:09 Abraham Lincoln it was so interesting because he put you know in with his group when he was pulling all the people in to run he picked all his rivals they called it team of rivals like he picked the people that he hated to be on his team
Starting point is 01:36:23 weird because he felt like that could get the most he could get the most out of them they get the most out of each other they get the most done Abraham Lincoln wasn't a love president he was hated while he was alive obviously yeah he became Well, no, not obviously. He was killed, but I'm saying he was not like a well-loved president by anybody. He was killed. He only became popular after he was killed. But now we look at him back as like the greatest because he was.
Starting point is 01:36:48 Who else? Do you want Taft? No, I want Garfield. Oh, Garfield. That cat love lasagna. That guy would just eat the lasagna. Nobody knows anything about Garfield. Non-stop. Yeah. Thank you guys. Let's see. How about we go and do Fred in West Virginia who's been sitting on hold? I want to be sure to get to him. Fred, thank you for calling the show.
Starting point is 01:37:07 What's going on? Hey, hello studio. I wanted to tell Bobby, thank you for suggesting not to sing long songs in karaoke. I want to perform Kashmir at karaoke. My little sister was with me. He said, never do that again. The only person that appreciated it was the host of the karaoke show gave her plenty of time to go to the bathroom and everything else. Kashmir's got to be over 10 minutes long, right?
Starting point is 01:37:31 Oh, I think it's maybe 12, 17 minutes. What? That's awful. It's like super long. Why did you do that? Amy has a question. Why did you do that? Just because I like the song, it's a good jam.
Starting point is 01:37:45 Oh. And sometimes the wait is so long to sing that when you're up there, you're like, hey, man, I've already waited two hours. We're going to do 12 minutes. Let's go. I'm going to do Freebird. The double guitar solo edition. Hey, Fred, appreciate that call, buddy. All right.
Starting point is 01:37:59 Thank you, sir. All right. Turn this up. Get to let out. Lead 102. Get the lead out. Ray was a live version. He's feeling it today.
Starting point is 01:38:12 All right, you guys hit us up. 877-77 Bobby. It has been noted that Garfield was assassinated. Is that why you... No, I had no idea. Right? I think Garfield was one of the presidents that was assassinated. Sorry.
Starting point is 01:38:25 Sorry for bringing that up. I don't want to be fact-checked wrong on that. Yes? Yeah, four months in. Wow. This story comes us from Athens, Alabama. A woman in the middle of the night was like, you know, I want to go for a swim. So you think, oh, she'll go to a pool.
Starting point is 01:38:42 No, she climbs up the 70-foot-high water tank with 350,000 gallons of water they use for the community. And she jumps in and go swimming. Oh, that's disgusting. And dangerous. Well, yes, dangerous. But disgusting. Yeah, because her body's now getting into... No, I get that.
Starting point is 01:38:59 But there's so much crap probably come from the sky, right? But I don't want stuff from her body. No, no, no, it's in a, like she opened the... It's covered. So she jumped in, they had to get harnesses to get her out, and they had to drain all the water and treat it. They did have to drain it all. It's like hooping in the pool.
Starting point is 01:39:12 If someone does that, you got to drain the pool. Dang. So does she get in trouble for that? They are, they took her into custody, and they're not sure if they're going to press charges. I don't know. We had a big water tower at Mount Pine. There's never water in it.
Starting point is 01:39:25 No, it's like for show now. You know? It's like, what do they use that for? And ours wasn't even so for show because it didn't even have Welcome Mountain Pine on it. Nothing? Nothing. It was the biggest waste of water tour I've ever seen.
Starting point is 01:39:35 Usually they have the high school name on there. Something cool. Yeah, no, we would go and it'd be empty. Sometimes we'd get in it and yell, and then we'd go back home. It's terrible. All right, there you go. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead story of the day.
Starting point is 01:39:47 So you guys got into a debate on what the best chip is? Yes, me and my daughter, specifically, because she's very passionate about toaki. I never had to talkies. I went to Walgreens the other day, and we got some stuff from Walgreens, and we got back to the cabin in Arkansas. and there was a half-e bag of toki and a half-drinking water. And apparently somebody just put their bag with our bag, and we were like, oh, goddamn.
Starting point is 01:40:09 It weird. We both looked at each other like, were you sneaking taki chips? But somehow I got mixed up, but I've never had a taki. Yeah, I had not either until she introduced me to them, and it's pound for pound her favorite chip. And, yeah, we keep it at home. Anytime we're at a gas station, we have to get some. It's a thing.
Starting point is 01:40:24 Yours is? Mine is just a tortilla chip. Of your favorite chip? Out of all of them? But it's, is that that? A corn tortilla chip? Like if you're, because you can dip it in salsa. You can dip it in caseo.
Starting point is 01:40:37 Yeah, because it's not my favorite chip. Yeah, because there are a lot of good chips. You need other stuff with it. You're going salsa and queso on the chip. We're going just chip. Like, you got to go like a Doritos or Pringles. Like something that you can have just by itself. Yeah, I know. My daughter said that my responsive tortilla chip was nonsense. It is nonsense because you went, well, you can put stuff on it. Well, no, but I mean, I do like a plain tortilla chip too. If it's done right, that tortilla chip is amazing.
Starting point is 01:41:02 I agree. It is very good, but it can't be the best. Would funnions be a chip? Sure. No. Oh, controversial. It's a chip in a chip back. It's a ring. I go Doritos. Which flavor? Regular. Yeah. Nacho? Sure. It doesn't regular is. Yeah. I go Doritos. I like a pringle. Yeah. Because I can eat a lot of them. And I like a funnion.
Starting point is 01:41:24 In that order, I go one... That's the gold, silver bronze. Your goal? My gold is Cheeto, for sure. Crunch Cheeto. Crunchy Cheeto. And also, Fritos are good, too. Don't sleep on Fritos because sometimes you forget about Fritos until you have another one. I do like the Fritos scoop more than the little Frito. Fritos is a corn chip. Just like a tortilla chip.
Starting point is 01:41:42 But chili, a chili. Oh, chili cheese. Yeah, that's the best frito. Oh, the flavored one. Okay. Yeah, but Frito's better than just a corn chip, though. All right. Because they have a name on the brand, and we like name brand.
Starting point is 01:41:51 Frito. Makes us feel fancy. Lunchbox? I'd go Doritos, one. I mean, two, any jalapeno chip, I don't care what brand. Delicious. And then the twirls. twisties. I don't even know what they're called, but they are so good.
Starting point is 01:42:04 Tell your daughter, she is nonsense and none of us like talkies. Oh, talkies are good. But not as our favorites. Yeah, well, she would argue all night long with you because that's what she did with me. See you tomorrow. Dan and Shea are in tomorrow. Also the Friday morning dance parties. Bye everybody.
