Starting point is 00:02:44 Go ahead. Music. All right. The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. How long does lunchbox have to stay quarantined in that room in there? What do you think? Month, right? Hey, Eddie, everything you say, remember, you're going to the beach, so that's a month for you, too.
Starting point is 00:03:02 I know. That's true. No, it's not, guys. Oh, absolutely. I'm outdoors. The beach is a little different than a casino. I'm not inside touching chips and sitting next to people gambling. Like, I'm going to be distance.
Starting point is 00:03:14 It's me and my wife. And you're sure that beach is still going to be open? I'm not sure. No, no, I'm not sure. I mean, we'll see when we get there. And I don't go there until next week, so we'll see. Well, I do, I'm telling you, I like, I love my space when I go to the beach. I don't like getting near people.
Starting point is 00:03:31 And we're taking groceries. They're not going to go to restaurants. It's going to be fun. That doesn't sound like the most fun, but I... That's how I loved it. That's how, that's my beach experience. I just don't know if you can say for sure that you're not going to be close to anyone. There may be no spots.
Starting point is 00:03:46 Then I won't go to that beach. Then I'll drive down the road to the other beach. Interesting. Yeah. Yeah. But this week, next week lunchbox is out of the room, right? What is it? Like, what's the protocol? For what?
Starting point is 00:03:59 For quarantine? Like, what do people normally do? Two weeks. Yeah, but if my test comes back negative, then I'm good to go. True. Unless it happens, because it's a little delayed on when you can, it actually shows up. And he's doing the actual nose up the brain test? I don't think it's your brain. It just goes in your nose cavity.
Starting point is 00:04:19 But it goes way up to where I've heard people. thought tickled their brain. Okay. They don't, you're gonna make people not get tested now because they heard. Whatever.
Starting point is 00:04:27 It's not that bad. It's not that bad. Hey, wait. So who's getting one today? You? Me. Ray,
Starting point is 00:04:33 when do you get on your tomorrow? Yeah, tomorrow I'm gonna go with Eric Dodd. Me and him are gonna do like Blood Brothers type
Starting point is 00:04:38 thing and go in and roll together. What does that have to with Blood Brothers at all? Except you're riding in the same car. Just, I mean,
Starting point is 00:04:43 just so we're there to support each other because we're in Vegas together. So you want to hold each other's hand? So we push each other to go get the test. Most people say, I'm going to get the test, but they don't actually get the test.
Starting point is 00:04:53 Got it. All right. Good luck. Listen, I hope to God you guys are. Negative. Not guilty. Yes. Not guilty.
Starting point is 00:05:00 I hope the test finds you both not guilty. All right. Let us know, though. Fair? Definitely. If it happens and you guys have it, they're shutting this whole building down. Yeah. If I have it, this is a scary thing because I've heard of asymptomatic, but I haven't had anything.
Starting point is 00:05:16 You're like negative symptomatic? Yes. I've felt better than ever since I came back from Vegas. What if COVID made you feel better? It just reacted perfectly with your system. I feel like a superhero. Wow. Are you guys smelling normal?
Starting point is 00:05:28 Smells has been fine. Taste is fine. Throat. Everything is absolutely. Everything's great. Ray's like I've never tasted stuff so pure in my life. Trying to convince us. Where do I want to go here?
Starting point is 00:05:43 Mike D sent me a note that said, hey, have you had an, oh, I should have said that moment in your relationship. Mike, you can share yours with a. with us and we'll see if we have one in ours. Your mic's not on. There you go. Yeah, the other day we were hanging out at the house was me and my girlfriend and we were walking back inside and I noticed she had a gray hair
Starting point is 00:06:00 and I was just like, oh look, you have a gray hair and I shouldn't have said that. She got really upset. She'll get used to it. The gray hair or him saying dumb stuff? Well, both. Because how old is she? 26.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Yeah, it's hard when you're 26 and you start seeing the grays. Don't it creeps? Yeah. It starts creeping in a little bit. and then around the 30s, but then mid-30s, you're just like, oh, okay, hello, new friend.
Starting point is 00:06:26 Hello, great, my new friend. Mine is, anytime Kailen comes on the show or doesn't people just bash her. You know, and it's what's kept her off the show now, honestly, for a while, because our listeners, some of them, I've selected few are very mean to her. And so someone had written something about her,
Starting point is 00:06:46 and she saw it, she was like, hey, they said this. And I was like, well, I got to get used to it. That's life now. And I shouldn't have said that. I know, it was my fault. Because she's new to this world. She has no interest in being a public figure.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And I should have said, that's not, first of all, that's not true what they said. Secondly, and then later on down the line, but I'm like, I know. It sucks. It happens to me too. Not. That's life. Welcome to it. Yeah, I regret saying that.
Starting point is 00:07:15 Amy, do you have anything? I regret. The last thing, you don't have to have an answer here. Well, I do have a regret. It's like, oh, I shouldn't have said that. I know. I don't know. I can't really think of anything.
Starting point is 00:07:29 Eddie? Oh, yeah, a lot. I mean, I think the last one, it's not good. But what happens is we argue about something, and then I always come with like, well, I'm the one that makes the money. And I don't mean it like that. I just mean like, I feel like I have a say-so in how this is spent. And that never ends well, ever. Why do you say that?
Starting point is 00:07:58 Because it's almost kind of like the last straw. Because you know, if she wasn't at home raising the four kids, she would have a job too, right? I don't see. I don't know. Whatever. She worked. Yes, she would. Okay, Eddie, don't even get me started.
Starting point is 00:08:09 How do you say that, though? Like that. Like, what are you saying? And what are you fighting to spend money on? Just different things. like she'll just say like, you know, hey, we need to do this or whatever. Like, I think we should get this. And I'm like, I don't think we should.
Starting point is 00:08:22 I think that's like, okay, example, she wanted to get an umbrella for a patio in the back. I'm like, umbrellas are stupid. They'll just fly off. Like, that's what they do. I had an umbrella when I was a kid and the patio and it was a pain in the butt. And she's like, I want to get it anyway. And I was like, look, I kind of make the money. You know, it's not good.
Starting point is 00:08:40 It's not good. I know. If I were her, I would go buy five umbrellas after that. Oh, my God. Eddie, what's wrong with you? I don't know. You're talking about things I shouldn't have said, and that was one of them.
Starting point is 00:08:51 But it sounds like you've done it more than once. I've done it a few times. Do you ever win with that argument, though? No, never. Because I would think after I lost twice, if I lose once, I'm like, well, that was an unfortunate circumstance. Yeah. But if I lose twice, like, you know, this is not a match I should be in.
Starting point is 00:09:06 I just feel like it's such a powerful statement. Like, you know, I'm saying we shouldn't buy it. I'm the one that makes the money. But how does she react? Really? You just said that. That's what she said. You really just said that. You're the one that makes the money. Okay. All right. We'll start playing that game. But then what game is it?
Starting point is 00:09:25 I don't know. She has a job too and she makes money. She threatens like, I'll fine. I'll just keep my little money that I make on my job. Go buy all the umbrellas I want. Yeah, pretty much. Got her, Eddie. Just kidding. No, she got me. When Eddie said that, it made me think of something I said in 2012. I haven't said it since.
Starting point is 00:09:45 What did you say? Man up. Oh, to your husband? Mm-hmm. The man of a man? No, I haven't said it since. So I haven't said it in eight years. Hey, well, what happened?
Starting point is 00:09:58 Yeah, what happened? Why did you say that? He wanted an umbrella, see? I think I said. He wanted a pink umbrella. I think my exact sentence was like man up and get over it or something. But, okay, it was when he got out of the Air Force. And he was really struggling with it.
Starting point is 00:10:15 it. And I didn't realize this was my ignorance at the time that there was such a, his identity was the Air Force. Like, that's what he wanted to do since he was five years old. And then in 2012, decided to separate what, he thought he'd go all the way to retirement. And then we moved back to Austin. And I remember we were about to move to Nashville for the show. And he was just really struggling. And I was just kind of tired of hearing that. Because I didn't understand. I didn't understand. I really didn't. And now that once I better understood, we went to therapy for it like a couple of years later. And I thought, oh my gosh, I felt horrible. That's my advice to anybody that's married to anybody that's in the military, male or female, if they get out
Starting point is 00:11:05 or any career like that, where it takes so much of your life and you're committed to this thing and you're serving our country and then you separate from it and then you have to work with civilians. Yeah, I can imagine that's hard. Oh, yeah, no, it's hard. Like, I didn't realize how hard. And so I would highly advise you stay away from sentences, like, get over it or man up. But, like, to me, I just wanted to like, let's move on.
Starting point is 00:11:30 Like, it's fine. It's not a big deal. But it's a big deal. And now I recognize that. Look, we've all grown. Did you ever get an umbrella, though, is the question? Oh, yeah. There's an umbrella in the back yard, for sure, straight up.
Starting point is 00:11:40 Good. Yes. And I bought it with my money. Did you surprise her with it? No, I just said, that's fine. You want the umbrella so bad you can get it. Yeah. And that's the last time you used that sentence?
Starting point is 00:11:51 Yeah, this was like a month ago. But, I mean, you use it more than one. No, no, no, I've used it like a couple times. It's one of those, man, I'm telling you, I'd get turned into a bad dude when I feel cornered. And I'm like, I, this is putting my foot down. Putting my foot down. I make the money. Yeah, when I get cornered.
Starting point is 00:12:09 I don't like that feeling. What do you do? I don't like to be told what to do. You know this. Oh, yeah, I know that. But I don't know. When do you feel cornered, though? Well, I don't like people to even tell me to that need.
Starting point is 00:12:22 I will do the wrong thing. I will go out of my way to. How does that even make sense? But I will go out of my way. I know. I know. It's not healthy. I will go out of my way to do the wrong thing if someone's telling me to do the right thing.
Starting point is 00:12:32 If they're telling me like I have to do it. I'll show you. Screw that. I don't have to do anything. I'll go play the middle of road. So how does someone humor me here? How does someone? even talk to you about doing something,
Starting point is 00:12:47 but what if it's not even like telling you? Nice suggestions. Hey, have you ever thought about this? That kind of thing. So simply just adding, hey, have you ever thought about this in front of whatever they're going to say will work wonders for you?
Starting point is 00:13:00 Presentation is key in all of life. Yes, it is. And knowing how people need to be communicated with. That's huge in marriages too. I know. Caitlin is now, she now talks to me like that. She knows if she tells me what to do. I'm going to be like, nope.
Starting point is 00:13:14 And sometimes she'll tell me the opposite thing to do, so I'll be like, nope, so I'll walk right into her plan. She's way smarter than I am. She tricks at you. Yeah. So, but yeah, I don't do good there, you know? I know. It just saved so much time. I got in trouble the other day because I was irritable and I was tired and I was hungry.
Starting point is 00:13:29 You? No. And Caitlin was with Amy. And Caitlin had... Oh, I saw that and it was like textbook, Bobby. Caitlin had both sets of keys. She left with both keys, both sets of keys. She had the key to the car.
Starting point is 00:13:41 Oh. And then she took my keys to the car. and so I called her and I was like Hey do you have the keys to the car? She's like oh yeah they're in my purse It was on FaceTime so we could see his face Oh She was like She was like yeah they're in the car
Starting point is 00:13:52 And I put him in her purse for him to play golf I was like hey keep the keys here Because Caitlin and I went to play golf And I was like hey I guess you can both have the keys I guess I won't eat I don't have any food Yeah but your face Whenever you found out his face
Starting point is 00:14:05 He said do you have the keys And she goes oh let me check in my purse So she checked in her first She was like oh I have them remember you put them in my purse and we were playing golf like you put them in there we put them in and then and then he was like you know he's like like that that face where he's just like come on gall why is everybody so stupid i didn't say that i know but that's what the face no but that's how i read i'm not saying that's what you meant that's how i read the face so then we're like we're then you know
Starting point is 00:14:37 we're just hanging out so we're like hey no big deal we'll bring you it's not that far So I say, do you want to take him the keys? And so she offers to take in the keys. And he's like, no, it's fine. I'm just like going to eat. You're a teenager. Oh, it was hilarious. Oh, was it?
Starting point is 00:14:56 I'm glad you ever new roasting partner now. It was. You guys can just sit over there and roast me from afar now. I was seen to ever bring this up. You just brought it up. And I'm like, okay, let's bring it up. And no, we weren't roasting you. She felt bad.
Starting point is 00:15:07 She genuinely felt bad and wanted to bring them to you. But you were, you refused. Well, and intern John, who he's still going by that. He does a morning show in D.C. now. He was over at the house. And because we're talking about some work stuff. He had come into Nashville for, I guess his parents are moving here or something. So he came over, and when Kaelan was leaving, his SUV was out front.
Starting point is 00:15:31 She was like, isn't John still there with you? Can you SMD? She goes, isn't there a car in the drive? And I was like, there's no car here. And she was like, I saw a car. So there's no car here. there was an SUV. You were such a liar.
Starting point is 00:15:44 I felt so bad for her because she was like, thought she was going crazy. She's like, I swear I saw a car and it had. I was like, there's no car. But you can't, you can't ask John to drive you to get to. They were going to dinner together, weren't you? Well, we did. We went to get something to eat.
Starting point is 00:15:57 I don't have a car, though. They were going to. But again, you are, you're 40 years old. You are a grown man, an adult. You run a business. You run lots of things. People rely on you. You're in a relationship.
Starting point is 00:16:14 I'm not perfect. And you had to prove, take your point, not even know what point you were proving, but you had to make her feel even that much more worse by saying that there was no car in the driveway. There wasn't a car in the driveway. There was an SUV. Oh, my gosh.
Starting point is 00:16:29 You are dating you. I mean, Caitlin. Poor thing. Who's worse? Eddie flexing that. I make the money. You would never do that. No, God, no.
Starting point is 00:16:41 I know. That's pretty. Also, Caitlin makes a good... But even if she didn't, it wouldn't matter. No, no, no, no. Oh, yeah, Caitlin's pretty adamant. She's like, she doesn't let you pay for anything. She's, yeah, she's baller. She said that she does, everything she does.
Starting point is 00:16:55 She's like, I try not to let him pay for anything. Or Amy telling her husband a man up. Don't do that. I said I haven't done that since 2012. Just confusing a car. No, we're not playing the what's worst game. They're all pretty bad. Mine's worse.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Hey, Morgan, you heard them all. Which one? Don't bring me into this. These are all bad. Bobby lied to Caitlin. No, I didn't. They're all bad. There wasn't a car in the driveway.
Starting point is 00:17:18 It was an SUV. Oh my God. SUV. Okay, well, just kidding. It's me. I will take the ground for being the worst. No, I'll take it. You should never do that.
Starting point is 00:17:26 That was super insensitive of me. No one's telling me I have to take it. I'll take it. That's what I do. All right. That's it. Here's today's show. Thank you guys.

Starting point is 00:21:52 We have a country artist going to tell us about his family Fourth of July tradition. So we'll do that. And also someone on the show is, I'm being told he's going to admit something illegal. So we'll get to that on the way. Also, you know, a bit ago, I made a mistake and kept clicking Amazon. It got sent extra stuff. I only meant to click it once, but more came to my house. But there's a guy who was trying to buy something on the way.
Starting point is 00:22:13 line, he accidentally clicked it 28 times. And it's a massive thing he bought 28 times in a row. So I'll tell you that story. And also, we'll get in to tell me something good. And also, Eric Church will be on a little bit. So thanks to being here. Go on, Bobby. Hey, guys, welcome to the show. Morning studio.
Starting point is 00:22:36 Morning. You know, yesterday I gave an unpopular opinion. Today, I don't think it's that good when you eat a tomato from a garden. At least not any better than from the store. It's all the same. You wouldn't know the difference. Eggs from a chicken coop in the backyard
Starting point is 00:22:49 or eggs from the grocery store. To me, I wouldn't tell the difference. I compared it to wine. He said, if you don't know it's expensive, you wouldn't know it's expensive. That was an unpopular opinion. So I said, hey, call us and give us your unpopular opinions. Here is number one. Good morning, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:23:05 Good morning, studio. I have a very unpopular opinion. I think white claws are so overrated. And I know Ray probably will have feelings about this, but just in my opinion, white claws are very overrated. Thanks. You'll have a great day. What do you think about that, Ray Mundo?
Starting point is 00:23:20 Yeah. They're easy to drink women like them as well as men, and they have a decent amount of alcohol in them more, I believe, than a beer. So they're a very good bang for your buck. You're Mr. White Claw. Because they taste very, very good. Something like that hasn't coming along in a long time. Amy? I just tried truly for the first time, which is similar to White Claw, right?
Starting point is 00:23:41 Yes. Okay. And it's good. Great fruit only. It's good. It's real good. You like it? That's all right.
Starting point is 00:23:49 I think it's refreshing. Yeah. It's refreshing. It's not a great drink or anything, but... It's a summer time. Yeah. Yeah. Here is Austin and Waynesboro, Georgia.
Starting point is 00:23:58 Unpopular opinion. Morning studio. My unpopular opinion is that a gluten allergy is just a fad. I know so many people that consumed all the gluten in the world until this gluten-free fad came about, and they self-diagnosed themselves as allergic to gluten. I get in so many arguments about this, but I know that it's... fake. He knows. Here's the thing. An allergy, some people do have the allergy. There may be more people acting like they don't want gluten because of that, but I don't think the gluten allergy
Starting point is 00:24:30 is fake. No, because your friends may be fake because they're claiming they have it and they don't, but a gluten allergy is real. Yeah. Like, or celiacs, or people that can't break it down, yeah, that's real. But I do think that a lot of us, including myself, jumped on that, you know, again, I'm gluten. I still kind of do. Well, it's like ADD. You saw a lot of people go, I have ADD. That's a good example. It's a real life thing for some folks, but because everybody started claiming it, you're going,
Starting point is 00:24:58 is this even real? Yeah. But yes, it's real. I would even say some, Corona. Some people are like coronavirus and not real. Like, yes, it is. It is for sure is. Let's do one more here is Caitlin in South Arkansas.
Starting point is 00:25:10 Morning Studio, my unpopular opinion is that I hate bowling. I'm little and I literally can't throw the ball without my wrist throbbing the next day. And Bobby, I'm also a MacMedia Alom from Henderson State, so go ready. Well, I think if it hurts to throw the ball, I probably wouldn't bowl either. Yeah. I don't think it's unpopular to hate something that hurts you.
Starting point is 00:25:34 Can I make a suggestion? Go ahead. So my grandma loved a bowl, and she had arthritis really bad, and she somehow, I'm sure you could order it, had this special bowling ball where she didn't have to stick her fingers in the holes. It was a handle. and the handle was on springs and the handle would come out like a purse
Starting point is 00:25:52 you know and then she would roll the ball and the handle would snap back in so it would roll and that was my grandma's bowling ball so she was able to bowl without hurting her hand Yeah I just wouldn't bowl I would just yell you wouldn't get that ball No I'm not a big bowler so I'm probably But if you were I'm just saying there's options
Starting point is 00:26:08 Yeah yeah okay Eric Church coming out later on in the show We'll talk to Eric Church Talk to the chief he's in a mountain somewhere Yes so we got to hope he gets signaling It calls us a little later The Bobby Bones Show This is Thomas Red
Starting point is 00:26:21 Talking about what his family likes to do For the 4th of July My girls love to put red, white and blue Face paint on. Lauren usually puts them in like an American flag ballerina outfit And they love watching fireworks They love grilling hot dogs
Starting point is 00:26:32 And making s'm gonna smores And we usually do it out at our farm With like 150 people But this year, it probably is gonna look like We're gonna have a few less people hanging out with us But we do love to hang That 4th of July
Starting point is 00:26:42 And love getting to just Celebrate that good American tradition. What are you gonna do exactly? Do you know yet? Well, we'll be in Colorado, which normally there's a really cute parade, but the parade got canceled. Can you imagine a social distance parade every three minutes? Another car comes by? Yeah, there's no parade. So we are going to be hanging out as a family, like my husband's side and my sister's side. So it'll be good family time, but not the parade, which I look forward to that.
Starting point is 00:27:10 What about y'all? Well, we're going to Branson, and we're staying at this place, and they're still doing a fireworks show for the people that are staying at the place. And so it's Caitlin's family and her and myself. And I guess we'll just eat dinner and watch fireworks. Yeah. So, glad it's a resort because we don't have to worry about chasing fireworks down. They're going to shoot up for people that are staying there. Oh yeah, that's awesome. Eddie, what are you guys doing? I'm just hanging out at the house. I mean, I'm like Thomas Redd. I like to wear my American flag trunks, grill some hot dogs. And then, sorry, dude, I like to pop fireworks in the backyard. I don't care about that. As long as you're not
Starting point is 00:27:43 doing it past midnight. Yeah, no, no, I don't. I don't. I don't. I do it at the right time. But, I mean, I'm the one that goes out to the outskirts of town, buys the fireworks, and then bring them back to the hood. I have no problem with that. Yeah. It's just when people are trying to sleep. Yeah, I don't do it past midnight. That's ridiculous. But you do the legal ones, right?
Starting point is 00:27:58 I do the legal in the city, though, here, period. I know. I know. So you're saying, sorry, dude, I'm breaking the law. That's what you're saying? One time, one time we were popping fireworks in the cul-de-sac, and a cop was coming down the road. And we all ran. Turns out they were coming for some other house down the road.
Starting point is 00:28:14 Were you an adult? Yeah, oh, yeah. This was like two years ago. Oh, my gosh. Starting point is 00:31:45 A few weeks ago, I was on Amazon, and I guess I clicked twice, and I bought two pair of sunglasses. I was just trying to buy one pair. And they weren't cheap sunglasses. But what happened was I clicked it, and it didn't go through. So I clicked it again. And then at my door, it was like, boom, two packages. I was like, oh, man, I gave Eddie one of them. You got lucky there. Yeah, thank you. Thank you for double-picking. But it was only one pair of sunglasses. So I was like, Like, okay, listen to this story. This guy was trying to buy a Tesla.
Starting point is 00:32:15 He was going to replace his old Ford Cougar with a Tesla Model 3. So he gets on, and he was like, okay, and he fills out all the questions about how much money do you make? Can you prove it? And he's going to buy a Tesla. So he pushes it, and it wouldn't click through. That's why he pushes it again. And it wouldn't click through. He clicked it 28 times.
Starting point is 00:32:37 Oh, wow, wow, wow. He was charged $1.5 million for 28 Teslas. Wow. Now, he didn't have to end up paying for them. Can you just return it? Refund? Yeah. That's crazy.
Starting point is 00:32:51 But it was like, here's the bill, $1.5 million. And they're like, you don't have that kind of money. Nuddy? You ever buy anything that it comes to you? Like, spend it, like clicked it and got too many? No, I don't think so. I guess I'm good at checking out. The thing that we're in right now is the,
Starting point is 00:33:07 The fruit and vegetable, the misfits? Yeah, misfits market. Here's the thing. It's great because they send you fruit and vegetable that's a little irregular. It got rejected from the grocery store, so you're giving it a home. It tastes good. But it comes every day. It feels like we can't keep up with the misfits.
Starting point is 00:33:25 Bobby, it comes once a week. Okay, whatever it is. We're not even done. There's another box there. Yeah. I have like backed up four boxes of misfits. Did you click it seven times? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:33:36 Maybe I did. Maybe you're ordering multiple. Miss Fits is a great concept idea of business. In subscription service, if you'll eat it. But there's only two of us. That's true. And you don't even know what's in it. Sometimes you open it and you're like, ooh.
Starting point is 00:33:49 And I don't know how to cook it. Sometimes you look at it and you have to Google what do I do with this? Every time an eggplant comes, I laugh and do a joke. Because sometimes they're in there. I got one last week too and it was real short. Okay. So I'll cut, I'll open it. Sometimes I'll look in it.
Starting point is 00:34:04 And if there's an eggplant, Caitlin knows I'm about to do a whole routine. So mature. But it's called misfits market. Always fresh, sometimes normal. We do not... We don't do spots with them, do we? No. No, in any way.
Starting point is 00:34:17 So we're saying this, it's a great... But make sure you can cook it all and have it all. Because we're backed up. I got extra misfits at the house. On Bobby Bone Show. Boney up the day. This story comes to us from Nigeria. This guy has 2.4 million followers on Instagram.
Starting point is 00:34:37 He's an influencer in Nigeria. Oh, I'm a millionaire. Look at my private jets, vacation in Dubai. He was arrested for running a $350 million cyber scam. Ooh. Is it how he was making us money or was it all a scam? It was all a scam. They said that he would post these pictures in these exotic locations,
Starting point is 00:34:55 bags, jets, cars to make people think that he was rich. So they'd give him money, $350 million he scam from people. Is it bad that if you're messaging me from Nigeria, I automatically think it's a scam. I mean, no, but who knows where he was collecting the money from, but is that how investing works? Oh, their Instagram looks like they're rich and they know what they're doing. I'm going to give them my money. That's who I invest with.
Starting point is 00:35:19 People on Instagram that look cute, rich, yeah. All right, there you go. I'm Lunchbox. That's your bonehead store of the day. I don't have kids, at least not yet. So when I say this, some people may get mad, but maybe it's just because I don't have kids yet. So you guys can tell me. Okay.
Starting point is 00:35:46 but I got a friend who was posting pictures on social media of our kids, which is great. Have at it. But she was posting potty training pictures. And I just felt like that was a little weird. And I don't think anyone benefited from taking in that content. Because there are certain things I think people shouldn't post on social media. Again, I'm not the rule enforcer. I don't get to...
Starting point is 00:36:08 But I'm just like, you know, I don't like that. This is gross. The diaper down. Oh. So, Eddie, you have... Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, I don't like that at all. Eddie doesn't post his kids at all, though. I don't, but I have a friend, too, that also posted a picture of his daughter in the bath.
Starting point is 00:36:25 And I was like, why would you do that? I don't understand that. I don't get it. I don't know, dude, I don't think you're wrong for feeling that way. I just felt like that's something you shouldn't share on social media. I agree. What are other things that you shouldn't share on social media? I've come up with a few of these.
Starting point is 00:36:39 Oh, okay. One, and again, I'm not shutting it down. I'm just saying things that I'm like, all right, we get it. Like when someone is not feeling well and they take a picture of themselves and they're like, and they're just writing how bad their day is or how sick they are. And they post like a selfie of them with like a half frown. Yeah. Not really something that I feel is good for me or good content to share.
Starting point is 00:37:03 Okay. People that have to brag about always working out. Because I have some friends that every time they go to the gym, they got to take a picture and let everybody know they're getting their work at it. That mirror picture. And I don't mind some. But some people do it all the time where it's like, hey, I'm in the gym today. Just get a little workout. There was a really cool story about this fitness social media influencer who was like,
Starting point is 00:37:24 hey, look, this is me taking a picture in her swimsuit. But she was like, this is me without the angles in the light. Do you see that one? Oh, that's cool. Oh, yeah. I've started following a lot of accounts like that that give you the kind of the real and then how it can alter. So that way you have that reminder not to compare yourselves to certain poses and pictures
Starting point is 00:37:42 and lighting on Instagram. because it can really weigh on you if you don't think that if you think everybody looks exactly like that. I give you one more that I saw because after I started getting on it, I was like flowing through my comments. And on my Facebook page,
Starting point is 00:37:59 someone wrote this. Hey guys, I can't really tell you what it's about. But if I could get your prayers because it's terrible and my life's not going so great, I can't tell you, but just pray for it. And I'm not going to go to pray for her. Comfort and peace? Yeah, you could always just pray for like whatever
Starting point is 00:38:14 they're going through. Yeah. How about you just say, hey, something going on. Can I get some prayers right now? You don't have to go through all. That's kind of what they said, though. No, it's a little dramatic. It's just a little dramatic.
Starting point is 00:38:26 Okay. Right. Like going through, life sucks right now. Things are, I can't tell you about it. But, well, then don't even lead us down the road. It's say, hey, can you do some prayers right now. Like, send them up, baby. Everybody sends them up.
Starting point is 00:38:38 The people that are always complaining about, oh, man, life isn't not good right now. Like sad sacking it? That's tough. That's really hard. That's tough. Do you ever see something that we, as anybody that you work with or your friends post something? We're like, oh, why do they post that? No.
Starting point is 00:38:55 Okay. Cool. Okay, good. I'm trying to think. Because that would suck. But again, mine aren't fair. These are just my thoughts. I don't think that everyone should live by these rules.
Starting point is 00:39:05 Someone in this room could easily be a workout poster every day. But we're not. Nobody is. That could happen. Anything that you see. anything posted you're like you know what we don't need this on social media gosh I guess I like everything another one that I have that I struggle with are people either way
Starting point is 00:39:22 posting their political beliefs trying to convince something I've never seen anyone get convinced of anything on social media that's annoying so that you're not trying you know I posted on Twitter the other day that you can present data side of source get a doctorate and desired filled and people still aren't going to believe you and they're going to fight to their death whenever it comes to a fight on social media.
Starting point is 00:39:46 So that's a thing, too. You're not going to change anybody's mind from whatever side you're coming from. Eddie, you? Oh, man, I'm pretty good with just ignoring what I don't like to see. I'm with you on the sad ones. I'm like, okay, I know you're having a rough day, but the ones that do it a lot every day, I'm like, gosh,
Starting point is 00:40:04 I don't know what to do for you anymore. How do you feel about ultrasound pictures on the internet? Oh, yeah. Instagram, Twitter. That's cool. Yeah, I don't have a problem with that, really. Yeah, that's kind of cool. I mean, I guess in the real world, I don't care about any of this stuff.
Starting point is 00:40:17 Right, exactly. If something bothers me, I don't light them up. I just kind of go, you know what? I'm just going to move on with my. Sometimes I'll unfollow friends, though. If I just am like not taking it, not putting this toxic into my mind. So it's just like unfollow. If I see a pattern, I'll just unfollow them.
Starting point is 00:40:32 Never tell them. You just mute it? No, I unfollow them. Oh, wow. So they'll find out somehow. Yes, they'll find out later. I wonder when Bobby unfollowed me. I can't do that. I just mute.
Starting point is 00:40:43 So I get on my personal Facebook about once every two or three months. Just kind of check out. See what it's like over there? Well, I don't ever go to the show Facebook page. It is brutal. The fact that Morgan comes in after reading that stuff every day and is still happy, that would drag me into an abyss of sadness and anger. It doesn't matter what you post or people fighting over there.
Starting point is 00:41:02 But I'll go over and if people are posting political stuff over and over again, I'm just like done, gone out. Bye. So. Starting point is 00:44:55 With the 4th July coming up in a couple days Am I the only person that feels like there should be a firework curfew Like after like 11 p.m., we get it We love America too We love explosions in the sky But if it's midnight And you're popping firecrackers Are shooting fireworks
Starting point is 00:45:11 My dog is going berserk I can't sleep People in neighborhood can't sleep People are going to call and complain Not me people are going to complain So Should there be a firework curfew Amy
Starting point is 00:45:24 Um No Oh wow Yeah I just don't think it's that big of a deal I understand the whole animal thing It's one night a year But New Year's Eve they do it too
Starting point is 00:45:36 So is it, it's a blanket curfew? No fireworks ever every day of the year after 10? It's risky. Oh, 10's probably a little too early. Okay, 11. I would say 11 if I were going to have a firework curfew. I would like one. You say no, Eddie.
Starting point is 00:45:52 Look, Bones, was there a curfew when Francis Scott Key looked over and saw the red rockets red glare? No, there was not. Let it rip, man. Let's enjoy the 4th of July. In the morning when nobody can sleep, you should have shot him up already. That's the deal. You start drinking beers. You don't even realize it's midnight and you're shooting fireworks still.
Starting point is 00:46:09 Like, it's annoying, but you're kind of being a party mover. That's okay. Well, the bad thing is this year, it's on a Saturday. Yeah, that's perfect. Why is that bad? Because I'm going to pop them all night long. Nobody has to go to bed to go to work the next day. That's bad for you.
Starting point is 00:46:22 Okay, what about on the third? Should people be able to shoot them late at night and another third? Because they do that too, because then they have them. Yeah, because you can buy them then. Yeah. Okay, let's limit it to the fourth. Let's limit the unlimited fireworks. Well, we don't get to make the rule.
Starting point is 00:46:36 Listen, I wish that they just said, Bobby, make the rules for everything. But how do you feel about it? The fifth? No, no. Fourth, have your fun on the fourth and then be respectful on the surrounding days.
Starting point is 00:46:50 Eddie? Yeah, yeah, I'm with that. But however, if you have some leftover fireworks, can we still pop them? That's what I'm saying on the fifth. No, because they shoot them on the fifth too. Yeah, I know. But not at night.
Starting point is 00:47:00 I've done that. Okay. Listen, in my neighborhood right now, there's always fireworks or gunshots. We play a fun game. I look at my husband and I was like, the fireworks are gunshots. Okay, who on the show would be the most likely to make a complaint to the police about people shooting fireworks at mid-knows?
Starting point is 00:47:17 You. I don't call the police about that stuff. Well, now we know it's you. Not of us care. I've never filed a complaint in my life. With the most recognizable voice of all of us in the show, would you worry if you call the cops on something, they're going to know who it is? Oh, he would alter it. You'd be like, hello, me.
Starting point is 00:47:32 Or he'd get the phone to his girlfriend. Oh, good. I've never called the cops to make a complaint. And if I were calling the cops, I would just be like, hey, this is Bobby. I need some. Like, I called the cops when that power line went down on my yard. Oh, yeah. But I just don't want anybody to get.
Starting point is 00:47:48 Did you call 911 or 311? I think it just looked up the number of the police station because I was too scared to call either one of them. I didn't want to get arrested like someone getting bunch of for buying chicken tenders. I call 911. I just was like, let me call a police station. Yeah. So I looked it up on my phone. But then I even then I felt weird about it.
Starting point is 00:48:05 but I just don't want me to step on it or get hurt. Yeah. So you guys are all jerks. I would not make sure. You totally would be the one. No, I wouldn't. No, I wouldn't. Okay, well, here.
Starting point is 00:48:14 We're going to end on this. Fourth of July is coming up. We're just days away. Be courteous to your neighbors. If your neighbor is me. Okay? Thank you. We're good.
Starting point is 00:48:28 Everyone else, let her rip. Yeah, let her rip. Hattership. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops, San Cabella Studio on Music Row. We are the Bobby. Bones Show. That's right.
Starting point is 00:48:36 I was reading about Dr. Dre, him and his wife, are getting a divorce for 24 years together. Oh, wow. There's no pre-nup and there's $800 million at stake. Oh, yeah, Dre Beats. What? Wow. A lot of money. That has a lot of money.
Starting point is 00:48:50 It's like Jeff Bezos Jr. But here's the thing. If she was managing some part of his life as he's managing that part, then she, that's just part of it. Yeah. Take it. If, for example, I don't know. their story, but if she's raising the kids and is able to give him the life to go and work while she's managing the kids out, I don't know what their story is, but just saying, then she
Starting point is 00:49:13 deserves it. Just because it's a lot of money doesn't mean she deserves less. At some point or another, I'm sure she was a muse for something. Amuse? Yeah. Or, who knows? Yeah. She gave him peace of mind to go and worry about work. Sure. Because she's whatever the case is, it's a lot of, it's just $800 a million. Holy crap. I'm sure they'll work out a a nice little compromise. Yeah. Okay, what's going on over in the pile? Well, the woman said that she has never done this in her entire life,
Starting point is 00:49:40 and it's the secret to why men fall in love with her. Bobby, I think you do this probably every few weeks, but she's never done it. Number two? Is that? It's not that regular. That needs to be more frequent. All right, we'll do that. Coming up next.
Starting point is 00:49:58 Here's Amy's Pile of Stories. So the 16-year-old girl who also happens to host a show on. Nickelodeon. So she's popular. She's out there. She's on TikTok. Well, she shared a video of how her ear was pierced into a mask that makes, she went to get her ears pierced at Clare's, and she was wearing face masks to protect herself from coronavirus. And the lady doing it pierced the mask into her ear in her ear. That's good. And then she'll have the mask forever. No. So I guess what was funny is her and her mom, they were trying to file a a complaint with Claire is like we want a refund and they said oh and they have video and
Starting point is 00:50:38 BuzzFeed did an article about it and they said no you're going to need to physically remove the earring and bring it back into the store for a full refund. I mean was she just recklessly shooting that ear gun? Well she got the girl was getting the left ear and the right ear. First year it went a okay. Then second year, whoops. But I would just think you would hold it and make sure that ear strap wasn't there. Yeah, that's weird. It's unfortunate, but she's okay, right? Yeah, I mean, she's going to be fine. It's like nothing, but it's just like, what are the odds? And then also, it's just like, well, this is what you got to deal with now that we have to wear masks. All right, what else she got? Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman celebrated 14 years of marriage. It's hard
Starting point is 00:51:19 to believe they've been married that long. Like, I would say maybe 10 years, but they got married in 2006. And they celebrated in California, just like us with takeout. Stars are just like us. Are they? Oh, yeah. Not Nick and Nicole. Also, too, they're really good examples because they went to pick up their takeout to go home and eat and celebrate their anniversary wearing their masks. So, I mean, Keith and Nicole can do it.
Starting point is 00:51:47 I never thought about that. Hey, good for them. Hey, happy anniversary. And they have really cool masks too. Dang, those are dispensive kind. Oh, what kind are they? Yeah, they're the super safe ones. Yeah, they're the CDC recommended.
Starting point is 00:52:01 One. Dang. They're in space suits. All right, what else you got? Are you attracted to really long hair? Nope. Doesn't have to be long. You're fine with short, whatever.
Starting point is 00:52:11 My husband really wants my hair to be long, but it just keeps you getting shorter and shorter. Like, it's a thing. It's a problem. No, no. I don't think guys really are. Mine is. My husband is. But in general, I don't think guys have the same hair fixation that you ladies do when it comes to coloring it, extending it.
Starting point is 00:52:30 I think most of the. time you guys do your hair for you and other girls? Yeah, probably. So no, my answer's no. Well, what do you think about this woman? She has not cut her hair pretty much her entire life and her hair is longer than she is tall. It's like Crystal Gale.
Starting point is 00:52:44 Oh, wow. Yeah. Remember that. It's five feet two inches long and she's never had a haircut in her entire life. And she says that her distinctive hair is a real winner with the guys and claims that men fall in love with her simply because of her hair. Stop it. Is there a hair fetish thing?
Starting point is 00:53:01 Yes, I'm sure. I'm sure. I don't know for sure. I mean, it looks a little much for me. I would struggle. I sounded too confident. If you want to check her out on Instagram, if you like long hair. She's at Miss underscore long hair. That is her name. Wow. She's not from America, though, I don't think. She's from London, but she's basically a real life, Rapunzel. 11.9,000 followers. So she will not be celebrating 4th of July because she's from. Right, right, right. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Speaking of of the 4th. Let's do this. IHeart Country 4th of July barbecue presented by Lowe's. It's coming up in a couple days on Friday, 8-7 Central, only on the CW. Kane Brown, Lauren Elena, Old Dominion, I'm hosting it. We're all doing it from our backyards. So Lowe's came and set me up too. Well, but just know, if you ever see Eddie's house in an Instagram picture and his flowers,
Starting point is 00:53:53 like very similar to mine, I gave all the flowers that Lowe gave me to Eddie. Did you take all this to your wife? I did. And there's one that I really liked that they put in a Lowe's bucket. And And I'm fighting my wife. I'm like, I want to keep it in the Lowe's bucket because it looks cool. And she's like, I don't know. We just should keep it in the Lowe's bucket. So I think I'm going to win it, though, because it looks really good the way they set it up. When you brought all that stuff home, did she think she had to plant them?
Starting point is 00:54:11 Yes. And I told her I would do it. And she's even bought these little things that we're going to put along the deck where we hang the flowers on the side of the deck. Well, this year is much different from past fourth of the month. So with a visit to Lowe's, you can make your home the best it can be. New Grill, stylish patio furniture. And check out the IHeart Country 4th of July barbecue. by Lowe's Friday 8-7 Central, only on the CW.
Starting point is 00:54:35 Thank you very much. I'm Amy. That's my file. That was Amy's pile of stories. Over to Amy for the Morning Corny. The Morning Corny! Why couldn't the pirate crew play cards? What couldn't the pirate crew play cards? Because the captain wouldn't get off the deck.
Starting point is 00:55:09 The deck of cards? Yeah. All right. That was the morning corny. I've heard better. It's all right. I had he liked it. I know.
Starting point is 00:55:21 That was a convincing factor. Coming up in like 20 minutes, Eric Churchill be on the show. Starting point is 00:59:01 CBS is going to start selling men's makeup. Would your husband ever put on male makeup for any reason whatsoever. No. He probably wouldn't. He struggles with sunscreen. Moistriiser. See, that's a man right there. Even I have a tinted moisturizer, but it's really good, like, sunblock, too. Man, it's a struggle to get him to put that on. And I'm like, it's great. It'll even out your skin tone. CBS will start selling products from a men's makeup brand called Stricks. The new products will roll out in stores through July. They say it's designed for guys who want to feel more confident in their own skin. in and look their best but also don't want to shop in the women's aisle.
Starting point is 00:59:42 Strix's products, 1999 concealer, a gel cleanser for 1199, are geared toward the more natural look. They say, David Beckham, Clark Gable, Marlon Brando, all use makeup to enhance their looks so you should feel comfortable too.
Starting point is 00:59:57 Aren't two of those guys dead? Well, yeah. But at the time, I have two thoughts on this. One, my first thought is at least once a week after we're makeup. If I'm doing the Opry show, and it's just because the lights are on you. So they do makeup on my face. So you don't shine.
Starting point is 01:00:16 Yeah, and I don't do eyeliner. Good. You don't do any of that stuff. No, I shadow. On American Idol, any of the shows that I do, they have to put makeup of me at some sort. And I like it because I do look good. It makes you look better. Yeah. Do they do it where they like shade it to where they do more jawline or more like cheekbones? I'm a pretty good jawline.
Starting point is 01:00:38 So, you don't need that. Okay, all right. I don't know. I really don't know. But it does, like, it makes you look better. Yeah. But here's my second thought. I just hate it that there's an expectation on women
Starting point is 01:00:51 that you have to wear makeup all the time because it's a pain in the butt. I can't imagine having to wake up every day and do that. I go sit somewhere and someone comes in and does it. And I don't have to put a lot on because I'm a dude and I need colors on my face. Mostly it's just to make sure I don't shine or I'm even. But I'm like, and I feel good about it.
Starting point is 01:01:07 But it's like, dang, it stinks for you guys. You have to do this every. You don't have to, but the expectation is if you're not wearing makeup, it'd be like, oh, I'm not wearing makeup, sorry. Right. That stinks. I know. Thanks.
Starting point is 01:01:19 Thanks for the sympathy. But I wouldn't do male makeup for recreational reasons. We don't have that expectation on us. Now our life's pretty good. But now it's great because if guys do want to wear it, they can go to CVS. Hey, how about it, guys? Easy piz. Have at it.
Starting point is 01:01:34 I'll tell you one guy who doesn't wear makeup coming up next. Who? Oh, no, no makeup for Eric Church. He'll be on the show next. If you leave, you're going to miss it. On the Bobby Bones show now. Eric Church. Hey, man, how's it going?
Starting point is 01:01:47 I'm good, Bobby. How are you? Pretty good. Are you in a remote location hiding from the... Yes. That's just what I picture. You're in the side of a mountain somewhere. I am in the mountains of North Carolina.
Starting point is 01:02:00 And I drove around before I did some phoners today for about an hour looking for two bars of service. I couldn't find them anywhere So what will we on? One bar right now? Well, we're teetering on between one and two bars. They don't have two bars from our phones. When you go and not, you know,
Starting point is 01:02:19 wherever you're staying here in this cabin, is it, you know, no internet, no phones? Are you living off the land? There's, we've upgraded our Wi-Fi. There's no phones. We have to go to a place to use a phone. So you can, we could do Wi-Fi calling or something.
Starting point is 01:02:36 but other than that we're you know in the sticks you know when I read that you were up in a you know like a cabin recording this album
Starting point is 01:02:46 and said 28 songs and 28 days now what is that what time do you wake up do you just start writing immediately are you trying to record them in the evening
Starting point is 01:02:55 what's that whole process right the recording process was generally the evening you know and I tried to get up you know you record most of the night
Starting point is 01:03:05 so 10 to 12, and then we'd start writing the songs. And here's the deal with that. As a songwriter, you always have that moment when a song is abhorne. And then you have two months or three months before you get in the studio and you bring that thing to life. And I just thought that the feeling and the experience of that is something that we underestimate. And so I wanted to, this time, strip all that down. And when the song is born and whatever those things are in the atmosphere that make it turn into something magical, I want to try to grab that.
Starting point is 01:03:45 Now, so we would go right in the morning, record most of the night, repeat. Are you getting good sleep or are you going to bed just exhausted, mentally exhausted? No, I wasn't sleeping. There was one particular period that we ended up having to take a couple days off because I was up four days in a row. without any sleep. I couldn't go to bed and turn it off. I would lay down and I was thinking about the next day and I didn't even, you know, remember what we just done. And it was just this real, I think the words manic. Dang, so were you drinking like any energy drinks to stay up? Like, how in the world are you staying up four days? Bobby, Bobby, I drink everything.
Starting point is 01:04:32 I drank it all. If they had it, I drank it. I drink it. Let me ask you this. That's a lot of songs to write. And, you know, I think it's definitely, you know, we're going to hear something different when it all comes out just because of the process. But with you being such a prolific songwriter, did you ever write any one song where you're like,
Starting point is 01:04:47 man, that song sucked. Like when you heard it back three days later. Yeah. I mean, I think, yeah, like nine out of ten. You know, I mean, that's part of, I think Harlan Howard, one of the greatest songwriters of all time, used to call them pencil sharpeners. And you just kind of, you try to work on a line
Starting point is 01:05:04 here or there. The song is really bad, but you can point to two lines and go, hey, that's two good lines. You ever take a song? Okay, that leads me to an interesting question. You ever have a song where you're like, man, this song just isn't that good, but you'd pull from it and put it in a song that ended up being a big song for you? Yes. Yeah, I've done that. I've barred for myself quite a bit. Did you sue yourself by any chance? And do you own half of your publishing because of that? We settled out of court. Hey, what are you doing for Fourth of July, Eric? uh we're actually up in the mountains of north carolina at the place we we stay at in the summer and
Starting point is 01:05:40 uh we're just going to go um watch some fireworks you know and and just grill out and hang out with the kids whenever we played you know stick that in your country song you know we started to see people talk about it immediately you know uh blogs and and radio folks and tv folks do you log on to any point go well let me just see what everybody's saying i don't uh you know i never really have I don't I don't even know how to get on any of my social media stuff, which is good. But I think with this song, I've never seen a song that when we recorded this in January, become more relevant as the world changes. I've never, I've never encountered that in my career.
Starting point is 01:06:26 So if you think about when we finish this song, you think about the lyrics of this song, think about where you are in January and where we are now. And sometimes songs are meant to be, and they're meant to be in a certain time that they're meant to be in. And I have not encountered that in my career until now. That's pretty wild that we kind of grew into the song meaning more. The song is more relevant since, because if you recorded that in January, yeah, that's pretty wild.
Starting point is 01:06:58 I mean, art imitates life. So in a situation like this, it was bizarre to me to see this thing just evolve. And I love that I get escapism. I get the reason that we turn to music and we turn to books and we turn to art for escapism. I understand that. But sometimes you've got to be reminded of what you're trying to escape from. And I think that this song is a real reminder of that. If you play 20 songs in the hour, you can play 19 escape.
Starting point is 01:07:29 and this is going to be enough to wait the other side down, you know, just to keep it, keep it that way. But I think that's important as a society. There's a lot of songs, you know, when we're talking about all these songs you're writing and recording. What are we talking to a double album, a triple album, the first ever quadruple album? What are we looking at here? Yeah, yeah, there's 28 songs. I'm still working on, I mean, the great thing about this with the pandemic and stuff is I've been able to spend a lot of time alone with the songs. Normally, I come back from a project like this.
Starting point is 01:07:59 The label can't wait to hear it. And all these people, they're pulling at me to hear it. So because of COVID, I've been able to spend months, you know, just me and the music. So I'm working on what that is. It's going to be some form that people get to hear the entire project, I think. Any of these songs come to you in a dream where you wake up and you grab your phone? And you're like, holy crap, I need to put this down for I forget it. Yes.
Starting point is 01:08:23 There was one of the last songs were recorded. This is crazy. That's funny you should ask that. This is weird. I feel like you're getting inside information. But I actually dreamed the chorus of the song. And I woke up. I hadn't slept either.
Starting point is 01:08:40 It's 6 a.m. or whatever. And I woke up and I wrote it down. And then I ended up writing the rest of the song to the chorus, first verse, second verse. And but I did. I got to where I was, I guess when you get to a creative point, you know, you get in the groove like that. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:08:58 I dreamed it. You want to tell us the name of that song? A little sneak. Crazy land. Nice. Hey, breaking news. Got a song called Crazy Land that he dreamed. Look at that.
Starting point is 01:09:08 Well, listen. That's because I was crazy at that time. So, you know, that you look at it. The next track will be called Five Hour Energy. The next track. Well, listen. You know, I'm a fan. I love it.
Starting point is 01:09:22 I love when you have new music coming out. I'm always excited about this stuff, especially from you, because it's always a little bit different. It's all, you know, we never can quite know what to expect. And you'd said maybe in an interview or Instagram, this is just a tip of what we're expecting. My final question is, what in the world did that mean? This is just a tip. Well, I think this is a great first stick point to what is going to be a lot of music and is going to be a very long process.
Starting point is 01:09:52 I don't want to go very much into that, but it's going to be, it's the most special project of my. career and we're going to treat it that way. So I think that this is something we're going to have a lot of thumb with over the next period of time. Whenever we get to go back and be somewhat normal. All right. In conclusion, Eric Church, what is your phone's lock screen picture? This is the last thing I'm going to ask you. When you push that button, what's your picture on your phone? It's a picture of me and my two boys on one of our couch back in Nashville. Dang. I have the same picture with, well, I'm alone, but I have the same picture of me on my Catch him. Yeah. Hey, Eric, good to talk to you. Love when you have new music that comes out and hopefully when things normalize, I'll see your face. All right, man.
Starting point is 01:10:36 That'd be great. Thanks, Bobby. I appreciate it. See Eric. See me. We got a new podcast coming out Friday with Gary LaVox, lead singer Rascal Flats. We're talking about Life is the Highway, the Rascal Flats song that was a Tom Cochran song back in the day, but here's a clip of this song here. We have some cars. Yeah. It was never put out as a radio single,
Starting point is 01:14:33 ever, and radio stations started playing it. And now it's one of the songs they're known most for. He was talking about that. He goes, we did it for the movie. It was never going to be a radio song, but people just kept playing it, and then all of a sudden, you know, I mean, we played this with them at our show. They came out and played this. But I jam, too.
Starting point is 01:14:49 So what I want to do, life is a highway from cars. And I'm going to give you five songs, see if you can name the Disney movie that it's from. Okay. The first one's very easy. Here you go. What do you got? That's from Lion King. Is that the cartoon version there, or is that the real life? It's cartoon?
Starting point is 01:15:17 Nice. All right, see if you can end this one. Can you sing with all the voices of the mountain? Can you paint with all the colors of the wind? Do you that? Did you see that one? Yeah. Is it good?
Starting point is 01:15:32 Yeah. It's been a minute. I saw it as a kid. It came out a long time ago. Okay, here's this one. You know that one from? Shrek? One of the Shrek's not Disney.
Starting point is 01:15:53 That's not. Shoot. Disney? This is Phil. Colin's singing it, too. I think you want to... Oh, trolls? Trolls? Not Disney, I don't think. Don't think so.
Starting point is 01:16:04 DreamWorks, yeah. Turn it back up, Ramondo. This is a jam. I never saw this... I haven't seen a lot of Disney movies, but I never saw this one. You know what I did I? Yeah, but you know the song, right? Yeah, I know the song. What's a movie? It's a jungle book, right?
Starting point is 01:16:20 No, it's Tarzan. Oh. Oh, dang. Maybe I didn't know it. Have you guys seen Tarzan? No. Disney? No. Because Tarzan back in the day was a black and white show. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:16:28 Yeah, that's right. And he would come and swing through. Yeah, he was like raising the jungle by a bunch of animals. Mm-hmm. Okay, how about this one? Which, this one's the jam. Look for the bare necessities, the simple bare necessities. Forget about your worries and your stride.
Starting point is 01:16:47 I mean the bare necessities on Mother Nature's recipes. Whenever I did that, if you remember, man. It was right when Corona was starting. And ABC, Disney reached out, and they're like, hey, I want you to play a song on this show. And at first, it was going to be, you got a friend of me. So I practiced, I got my guitar, I learned it. You got a friend to me. And Caitlin and I learned it were singing it.
Starting point is 01:17:10 They were like, why don't you guys singing on the show? And they called it, they were like, hey, we got to change that because it's going to be, I think Josh Grobin's doing it. And I was like, all right, practice, but I get it. You want Josh Groban? And they're like, hey, you're going to do bare necessities from Jungle Book. And I was like, on guitar, they were like, no, just play the track in your ear. and sing it and we'll dub it over on the show. And I was like, great.
Starting point is 01:17:31 So I start practicing it, and then they get into the call. Hey, you're going to be doing it with Aaron and, no, Dancing with the Stars Judge. Carrie Annaga or Aaron Andrews and somebody else. And I was like, all right. And so we went out in the rain. It was raining. We're cue cards so I could stay exactly on.
Starting point is 01:17:51 And then they were like, it's going to be a big. And then they ran it like as a bumper in a commercial. They didn't even air the whole thing. Went by clothes for it, did the whole thing. Because at first, I was going to be crushing it doing, You got a friend in me. And then I ended up being a commercial bumper with three other people. Yeah, it was Bobby Bones, Karen Anabha, Aaron Andrews, and Marcus Scribiner.
Starting point is 01:18:15 I was very happy to be included. But man, my role got quickly taken down. I think they just got actual famous people. I think at first they were like, all right, Let's start at the bottom. People confirm that we know we'll do it because they'll do anything and then we'll work our way up. It's good. You're even on that list, you know.
Starting point is 01:18:33 Amen. How about this one? Poco loco. Oh, sorry, this is from Eddie's house. This is recording of me last night. You know what this is? Coco, yeah, the best. And I haven't seen them all, but that's my favorite one.
Starting point is 01:18:50 So good, right? Yeah. Hmm. Is it because it reminds you of me? No, it reminds me of me. Oh, okay. Other than the Hispanic part or the Mexican part, it reminds me and me. Did you know Eddie's family has Corona?
Starting point is 01:19:02 Which one? Which parts? Distance family. Like an uncle, cousin, aunt, and another cousin all live in Houston. They're not the same family. Different cousins. Crazy. I know.
Starting point is 01:19:14 Do they know where they got it? Yes. Well, my uncle. They get it from a Chase Rice show? My uncle, his whole family has it? No. My uncle got it from his daughter that came, who's hanging out with friends. She went to the Chase Rice.
Starting point is 01:19:26 I found it. She went just... Ready, set, let's roll! Got everyone sick? Yeah, no, I don't know how they all got it, but crazy, man. Are they okay? Yeah, they're a little worried about my uncle. You know, he's the one that's like, you know, he's almost 70 now.
Starting point is 01:19:40 Oh, wow. Yeah, I don't like that. Dang, that's thanks. Sorry, Eddie. It's all right. Bobby Bones! Go back and listen to our Eric Church interview. If you're a big Eric Church fan, he was on the show today.
Starting point is 01:19:52 Just check out the podcast. Search for Bobby Bones show wherever you listen to your podcast. Always good talking to Eric Church. Big news, breaking news in the next segment about something personal with one of us here. Breaking news. We'll get into that. Three minutes. Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:20:09 The Bobby Bone Show. Major wedding news from Ray Mundo right now. Now, we just went through all his bachelor party hijinks. His wedding is in October. We're wondering, is it still going to happen? Is it going to go? Ramundo, breaking news. What's happening with your wedding?
Starting point is 01:20:24 Yeah, I hate to announce this. of people were really excited forward and looking forward to it happening. So my twin brother, I used to spend 18 years of my entire life. I woke up to that kid. Sometimes we're in the same bed. We're in the same womb. That's for darn sure. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:20:42 It was shared a room all the time. I mean, he's been a huge part of my life. We have grown a little distant with jobs in college, but he had to tell me, texting me and said he cannot make it to the wedding. Oh. His twin brother bailed out. He's hurt. is he mad because he's not a groomsman?
Starting point is 01:20:59 No, no, it's I don't really want to say it I think his wife's a little crazy She doesn't want the kid I don't want to say it Aren't you worried about this getting back to her No, I think we're good The show doesn't broadcast up there in the north
Starting point is 01:21:17 Oh yeah, but I mean somebody that knows somebody That knows somebody I want to kind of gently walk around this And don't quite know how to say it But I think she's crazy the text said something about COVID and distancing and it needing to be very, very proper distancing, and they're just not making the journey. It's also like over a thousand miles.
Starting point is 01:21:39 So that could have been a factor as well. And I mean, I believe he had told me at one point that he was having to, he was forced to take some vacations, unpaid vacations. So maybe money's a factor as well. But twin brother not coming in October. It's official. How harder are you one to ten? Man, I tell you what.
Starting point is 01:21:55 I wanted him to do that speech. As a bro to bro, I was going to say, brother, I know you're not best man. You weren't even a groomsman, but listen, we've always been cool. I want you to roast me. I want you to just get up there and say the weirdest stuff about me, and people will think it's hilarious.
Starting point is 01:22:08 Just because that's how I am. I make fun of myself. I wanted that. I wanted that moment. It would have been great. He has a couple drinks here and there. He gets a little crazy, tells him even wilder stories.
Starting point is 01:22:17 That would have been fun. Only he has those stories. Nobody else knows them. So I wanted that from it. It's not going to happen, though. He said it is 100% not happening. Okay, question. Well, one through 10, though, I didn't get a rating how hurt he is.
Starting point is 01:22:29 He went on a whole little... How hurt you are, yeah. I would have to say an eight. Oh, that's time. Because I wanted my whole family there. I wanted the same household that I was in with all these same people to be at this ceremony with me moving on to the next phase. It would have been very important to happen, but it didn't happen. How are your parents getting here?
Starting point is 01:22:50 Flying or driving? Oh, they're driving. My dad doesn't do that. So can your brother just hop in the car with them? Well, I mean, he has a family. He has a wife, kids. Yeah, but I mean, if I was married to somebody and their brother was getting married and I didn't want to travel because of coronavirus and I would be like, but you need to go.
Starting point is 01:23:07 That's your brother. Like, you go. Sounds like she could. But I hate to break that. But can you say, like, are you sure we can't figure out a way for you to come? I mean. I mean, I may have deleted the text message, but I was pretty sure it was final. By the way, I don't know that Ray's brother's wife's.
Starting point is 01:23:24 crazy. Me neither. I'm not even saying that. I just think that maybe there's room for discussion here, but also guys, feel me out on this. Is it bad if maybe if his brother can't come, he films? Because the speech is such an important thing. Like they do like a video speech and he pipes in and they play the video. There you go. I don't know. You don't like that? If he can't come. You don't want a virtual and a speech. Obviously he would want to come but he can't come. Coronavirus, man. Yeah. Ray, are you still having a lot?
Starting point is 01:23:54 this wedding in October? Yeah, we're still having it. What if things really flare back up? Well, then we won't have it. But I'm just, what am I supposed to say? People are asking, though, we're having more and more families saying, hey, we're seeing the news. Yeah. Not that, not that I'm not saying you're supposed to know what to say, but have you all talked
Starting point is 01:24:16 about any sort of contingency plan? No, because my fiance is going to flip out. This wedding needs to go down in October. It needs to go down at this perfect church in the hillside, and that's how we're going to live the rest of our lives, off into the sunset like that. I understand that tone. Uh-huh. I've been there.
Starting point is 01:24:30 All right. All right, well, good luck, bud. Thank you. All right. Lunchbox, who'd you call? I called a wing place to see if I could order just one wing. Most people order like 50, 60, 10, 20, and I said, I just want one. All right, here we go.
Starting point is 01:24:49 If I'm going to help you. Yeah, I just want to place an order for pickup. Okay, can I get a name for your order? Jason Gibble. Gible. BB Eddie. Yeah. What can I get for you today?
Starting point is 01:25:00 Yeah, I just want to get one wing. 6, 10, 15, 20, or 30? No, just one. I wish. I wish you could just give you one wing. Well, no, I'll pay for it. You don't have to give it to me. Like, I got money.
Starting point is 01:25:16 I will give you the cash money, but you give me the one wing. Okay. Let me see if that's even possible. Just give me one second. Okay. So now you're on hold. Yeah, and she's going to check to see if she can get me one wing Okay, so yeah, unfortunately we can't sell you by count, you know, just one.
Starting point is 01:25:36 It would have to be six. How much is it for six? For six, it's nine-29. I got you, you drive a tough bargain, but you know what I mean? I have a yacht, I got a Lambo, I got a vet, you know what I mean? Come on, let's be real. I'll give you 200 for one. That sounds real good, you know?
Starting point is 01:25:52 Let me see what I can do. Just give me one second. Like, I mean, you just get, wait, wait, wait, wait, you just give me. me your license plate and I'll just stick it like I'll just stick it on your windshield. Oh man. That's what's the catch, huh? What's the catch? No, there's no catch.
Starting point is 01:26:07 I just want that one wing and it'll catch my hunger pains and it'll make them go away. Okay. All right. Let me put you on a brief hold, okay? It's like he's trying to buy a car and they got to go back and forth to the manager. It's a one wing. That's what it feels like. Hey, Jason.
Starting point is 01:26:21 Yeah, how's it going? How's going, bro? Oh, man. That's going great. Just trying to get that one wing. One wing? That's it. Are you able to come up here?
Starting point is 01:26:29 I'll definitely serve you in the restaurant. No, no, I'll come pick up that one wing. Yeah, yeah, I'll come pick it up. I mean, and if you're saying no to 200, I mean, no, I'm saying, how much? You're saying 500, 500 gives me one wing? No, 200 is plenty for one wing, sir. All right, yeah.
Starting point is 01:26:47 That's what I'm talking about. Deal, deal, deal. I got you, bro. All right, that's what I'm talking about, my man. $200 wing. But I've got to think that he's like totally hammered. He's like, deal. Did you ever call him back and tell him it was a joke, or is he still waiting for that 200?
Starting point is 01:27:04 No, I let him know it was a joke. I called him back, and what he was going to do, he was going to buy six wings himself and then sell me one out of his six, and he was going to make the profit. Businessman. Nice. Businessman making a business move trying to get that money. All right. Coming from the Bass Pro Shops and Cabella Studio on Music Row, we are the Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 01:27:22 That's right. All right, what's going on with you today? I get to see my chiropractor, which I'm really excited about because my neck is messed up. I'm getting my neck adjusted just in time to get on an airplane and probably get it messed up again. I think, did you know when the airplane's landing, you're supposed to brace yourself? That's if it's crashing. You don't have you read that wrong. No, no, from like, because you can, it's a subtle thing when the airplane lands.
Starting point is 01:27:49 Like, it can knock you out of alignment. Really? That's what they say. Why don't they get on the microphone? Brace for impact, everyone. You imagine the chaos? Well, they shouldn't phrase it that way. They should say, don't forget to adjust your posture and hold tight while we land.
Starting point is 01:28:08 So that way you don't... Whatever. What are you doing today? Recording episode of Super Easy trivia. Granger Smith, Russell Dickerson. Got a few folks there on... By the way, we're like two episodes in taping ahead. be out this week. But this week, either it's the CMA staycade that's happening because I did an
Starting point is 01:28:29 episode over there. That is what's happening this week. So I don't put one up on my channels. I don't know about that. Maybe I'll just do on both. I don't know. But I'm doing that. I have that to do now. We're done. Morgan, what's on the podcast? Eric Church was on with us and he told us what it was really like to write 28 songs in 28 days. All right. And? We got some breaking news about Raymondo's wedding. And? There's a store selling something new for men. And? And lunchbox tried to call some wing places to get only one wing.
Starting point is 01:29:02 Can you get one wing? That's the question. He called a wing place. You have to listen. One wing. To hear the ending. All right, that's it. See you guys tomorrow.
