Starting point is 00:03:33 Like my neck and my back and my butt, all starting to hurt more from playing paintball yesterday. Oh, I bet. And I don't even think it's from running because I run and ride the bike and stuff and box. But it's from I would just run and dive on the ground and hitting the ground. Like, I haven't paintball since I was a kid. And a friend said, hey, come play paintball. And I was like, all right. And so you get all dressed up and camouflage,
Starting point is 00:03:57 which, by the way, I was wearing the jacket your husband gave me. I saw that. Yeah, and one of the listeners was like sweet pleather jacket. And I was like, you mean this military issue jacket from Amy's husband? Got them. Then they shut up. Good. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:04:08 But so the pellets didn't hurt when it hit the military jacket. But I would run and dive, like to get behind a car or something when they were shooting. Oh, you hit the ground. I'm 38. About to be 39 tomorrow. No joke, man. Were you good? At first, it was terrible.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Because you don't know how fast to the, bullets are coming, that are paint. Paint balls. But then I got to be pretty good. Then I had a strategy. Because one, I had to take my glasses off under this mask.
Starting point is 00:04:34 I couldn't see. So I couldn't sit back. So I would charge. I would charge hard. And then I would just add high behind something. Then I got to be pretty good. Okay. Are there stats?
Starting point is 00:04:47 Do you guys keep scoring stuff? Yeah, did you win? I think in the end it ended up being like seven to six. Like we played 13 matches. Wow. That's a lot. I think we won the lot. to win the last match. I think we ended up being the winners, but it was so close it didn't
Starting point is 00:04:57 matter. Like you just play, but it's so humiliating when you get hit. You're like, dang it, I'm out. Then you have to, it's like dodgeball when you get out. You feel like such a loser. And you have to wait. And you have to go back and get behind the curtain and wait. And then to call you back in. But yeah, my body, like I'm just feeling the stuff. And how, and you're probably like tense too, like running around and then you're holding it in your shoulders. I mean, imagine just running though and diving under the ground. Yeah. Ont to the actual, the literal ground.
Starting point is 00:05:21 I haven't done that since I was like, I don't know, softball, eighth grade. Yeah, so that's what I did. I'm starting to feel it a little bit, getting old. Tomorrow, another birthday for me. I know. I think this is, I'm just going to go hard this last year. What does that mean? I'm 39.
Starting point is 00:05:38 You know, I feel like 40, like a real, real adult. I'm just going to go wild at 39. Like, like boys gone wild. Oh, stop. You're going to spring break and stuff? You know, document it? Everything. Okay.
Starting point is 00:05:50 Sweet. I'm just going to go so hard. Good, you deserve it. I have a whole year. I'm just going hard. I had a good weekend, though. Like, from, I mean, the end of the week when I went to New York and did a bunch of press for American Idol, which was fine.
Starting point is 00:06:06 At times it can be a little bit grueling because you sit there and I would sit in this chair and I've told you guys about satellite television tours before where you sit in a chair and you don't see the news anchors. There's a camera on you and all that says on the screen is Jim and Jane from Norfolk. They're on WZZZ and they go, and I made them up. But they're like, all right, let's go to Bobby Jones, who's on American Idol this season. It's like the local newscasts, like one of those midday shows or morning shows. And they bring you in for like an upbeat, fun interview.
Starting point is 00:06:34 And I got called Bobby Jones, probably a fifth at the time. And then one of the quite, I did it for three and a half hours. And you do six minutes a pop. I have one 12 minute break in three and a half hours. And so I'm not complaining. I'm just there. And there we go, all right, Bobby Jones. Hey, so I know you're a DJ on country music radio.
Starting point is 00:06:53 do you know anything else about music? And so about the fifth time I was asked that. I got a little passive aggressive of my answers. And I would be like, oh, yeah, you know, we got a couple number one records. And I would just like throw a step. But I would be like, don't worry about that. That's probably in your notes.
Starting point is 00:07:06 Probably miss that. But here's the thing. And I would be like. You did that? Then I would just get bored. Okay. Also, how often does somebody come in? I have no idea what they're going to talk about.
Starting point is 00:07:17 Be prepared. Yeah. First of all, my name's not Bobby Jones. Yeah. Second of all, I saw the notes they sent out to every single person that was interviewing me. Did it have your name right? Yeah, they did. They did.
Starting point is 00:07:30 And then also I probably just got a little irritable because I'd been sitting there for like two hours. Probably. They probably ask all the same questions too, huh? Like over and over. A bit, which is why when we do interviews here, I try to not do that. Yeah. There are some you have to hit, though. Like, if somebody comes in, there are certain questions that people want to know.
Starting point is 00:07:48 I mean, not thinking about it. I was probably a little too passive with those answers but I did that and I thought that was fine and then I did do Good Morning America which was fun
Starting point is 00:07:58 and I did three segments like I went and I did this segment about Lil Nas X which was one that I really wasn't planning to do You know what I talked to was Chris Connolly do you remember they got for MTV? No
Starting point is 00:08:13 me Google him wake him up MTV News? Yeah MTV News yeah and so I was watching a Food Fighters documentary this weekend he was in that too but Chris Connolly was big
Starting point is 00:08:21 MTV News guy and he'd be like, hey, on it. Oh, yeah. So I see him, and he was up there on GMA doing the segment. And I was like, hey, man, we were getting our makeup done together. And you do recognize him? I do remember. Yeah. And so I said, I'm getting to that stage now in my career, because I've been doing radio since I was a teenager, that people go, oh man, when I was a kid, I used to listen to you. And he goes, oh, yeah, I goes, well, I just want to say this. When I was a kid, I used to watch you like crazy on MTV. And he was like, yeah, man. So it's kind of cool to geek out a little bit over somebody that probably still thinks it's cool
Starting point is 00:08:53 to be geeked out over it, right? And so we did that little Nause X segment Michael Strathen and I did and then I went back and they had me up for a bunch of time just sitting with the anchors talking about American Idol and they were like hey they would bribe dancing
Starting point is 00:09:06 with the stars again and I got up and just they didn't tell me to get up and dance oh that wasn't planned no no that's planned really and they gave me slippers which was nice yeah what was that about I mean they were like you need to be comfortable and you wake up early or something
Starting point is 00:09:20 I don't know what that's I think they just look for angles to, again, put in some research and do something that may actually turn into something kind of fun. You know, sometimes we'll try things with guests, and it doesn't turn into anything, but sometimes it does, and it turns into a whole, like, great topic you never even thought to talk about. And so Michael Strand said, hey, we know sometimes you do your show without your shoes on, so we got you some slippers.
Starting point is 00:09:41 So if you do want to not wear your shoes, at least good morning America will be on your feet. Yeah. And so. Have you worn them yet? Yeah, a little bit. But in my house, I don't really need. I need slippers. I'm barefoot.
Starting point is 00:09:52 Oh, but sometimes it's good to have a slipper. Oh, yeah. Once you try it, like, because I'm a barefoot guy too, but once you try the slippers, ooh, it's real nice and comfortable. And I'm sure those are real nice. And you can run outside real quick. That's when I put them on. If I'm going out like in the backyard or I have to go, like there's a package out front.
Starting point is 00:10:08 Yes. I'll put on slippers. Get my slippers and my robe. I do have a robe in my bathroom, but I don't wear it yet. I live by myself, so why, even if I walk outside, I walk in my underwear right now. Good. I'm okay with that still. Like all the way out or just to your porch?
Starting point is 00:10:23 Well, I mean, I don't go hitchhiking. No. Who goes to their mailbox? You don't have to check your mail? Once a month and a half, maybe. Nothing comes to my mail that I need. Correct. Bill's...
Starting point is 00:10:35 Well, I know, but it's still... There's stuff in there. I don't get bills there, but there's still... You have to empty it. Nah. All my bills come to my phone at this point. You're all paperless? Yeah, pretty much.
Starting point is 00:10:44 Good for you. I go look in the mailbox. It's just junk. So, if I did that, and then I went to... What else I do? I went to watch Kinky Boots on Broadway, and I talked about that later on, which I thought was really good,
Starting point is 00:10:56 and then I wore the boots that the guy wears in the play, and everybody gave me a hard time on my Instagram. Like, people are so weird. Like, who cares? Who cares if I wanted to wear those, even privately? Who cares? People were saying that? No, but I'm saying, what if I did?
Starting point is 00:11:14 Who cares? Long as you know, hurting animals or kids? Who cares? Well, if it was privately, we would never say anything or see it. I know. So we wouldn't have an opinion because we wouldn't know. Those were like the big boots in the show. And she was like, do you want to wear them?
Starting point is 00:11:26 And I was like, I do. And you owned it. Heck yeah, I did. You put them on and just like, check these out. You felt it. Kinky boots. Yeah. I took like 10 of those pictures too and that was the one I felt the sexiest in on my Instagram.
Starting point is 00:11:38 Is it hard to walk in those? Does it go above the knee, right? They do go above the knee and their heels. But again, they were like size 11 or 12. But I did a little damson. But there's like a zipper, right? Or did you have to lose them all the way? I zipped them up.
Starting point is 00:11:49 Okay. I zipped him up. So I did that. Do you like Broadway plays? Do you enjoy going to Broadway place? Yes. I've only ever been to one that wasn't good. And that was newsies.
Starting point is 00:12:00 Oh, really wasn't good? And listen, I grew up in Arkansas. We didn't have Broadway place. And then forever it took me for it. I was like, what is happening here? I don't even like this. But it was just, that wasn't the culture I grew up in. I didn't even understand a musical.
Starting point is 00:12:13 I was so annoyed people would start singing in the middle of talking. Now I do because I like respect the art of it. And I just, really like that show because I knew the, I know a girl who's in it. And so, yeah, it was good. Just wondering. Like, you know a girl that's in it. Yeah, I went out with her.
Starting point is 00:12:30 That's what, there we go. I said something later on the show that kind of pegged me. And I was like, ooh, yeah. I didn't catch that. What? Yeah, I didn't catch that. Yeah. And so tells more.
Starting point is 00:12:44 No. That was easy. Oh, okay. No. No, no. I'm not telling more about when I just go on a date or two dates with somebody. Okay. I mean, now you're going to see her at her job.
Starting point is 00:12:55 I was up there. Yeah. And we went out. Now, I'm talking about it. You got you. You're doing what he wants. That's okay. I was up there.
Starting point is 00:13:03 Well, and I met her on the app, right? I talked about it in New York. I talked about her. Yep. Let me walk through this. We didn't know what she did, but now we know. I don't care. Okay.
Starting point is 00:13:16 What's her name? I'm tired. and then I was like, hey, coming back up. We talked a bunch. And then I went to the show. And it was awesome. And where do you sit the entire time? Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:13:30 Do you have like special seats? No. Were you sitting with the other actors, husbands, and wives? Baseball players? Exactly what I was about to say. No. What do you mean? Why baseball players?
Starting point is 00:13:39 Because all the wives have a section. Yeah, there's like a section of hoties. Oh. They're all the wives. It's like a bunch of hot blonde. They are, all of them. I just had normal seats. And so I just set, went with the girl who went up and did the PR for all my ABC stuff.
Starting point is 00:13:56 And I was like, hey, you want to go to this show? A friend who's in it. Friend, whatever you call it. Yeah, so then when you go hang out with your girl backstage. I wouldn't say my girl, but go ahead. He just said my friend. Well, it's somebody I've been on dates with. Yes.
Starting point is 00:14:09 The girl you sat in the audience with, do you tell her, hey. Yes. You got to go? Yes. Ha! Who is that? Christy. Oh, okay, yeah.
Starting point is 00:14:17 She said Christy, get out. She doesn't care. Like, I know her super well. She's like, okay, fine. I was like, hey, but it's just funny. That would be like if Bobby was like Amy Leaf. Yeah, I would like Amy. I'm gonna.
Starting point is 00:14:27 I gotta go work. Yeah. No, no, no. I gotta go smooch. So, anyway. That's that, did that, came back to the wedding. Oh, I got a question. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:14:37 So like you go to see her. You know, like when you're going to your kids recital or whatever people bring flowers, you bring her flowers? You bring her flowers? I did not. Oh, good job. Oh, no. I have a thought. Oh, good. Lots of people hear your thought.
Starting point is 00:14:47 But, I mean, I'm sure, I know y'all aren't, like, dating exclusively. Obviously. Not a few times. But, I mean, you saw her, and then she probably saw on your Instagram, you were out with another girl, the next night-ish. Oh. Yeah, it's life. You know, but Instagram's got to be so hard. But it's not mean.
Starting point is 00:15:03 It was like. I know it's not mean. I'm just saying it's probably like. And wouldn't it be better if I'm open and honest about it? You know what? It probably makes her like you more. I don't know that that's true. But I haven't told the whole wedding story on the air.
Starting point is 00:15:15 I was like, I did not have a date. I asked Amy. I asked Morgan number two. Who did you ask that it's going to be in Iceland? A different girl. It's just a friend, friend. I don't know about this game. This game sounds crazy and like harsh.
Starting point is 00:15:30 The dating game? I told you, I've actually opened the doors up for one. I know, but just think, though, like Amy said, if she did see Instagram, like, oh, it's a good time last night. Let me see what he's doing it at what on earth? Yeah, like, oh. Not 24 hours later. But I again have been open about that story. I didn't go.
Starting point is 00:15:46 I tried everybody to get to go to this wedding. And I know this other girl. She was like, I'll go with you. And I think if I had an R-SvP plus one, I would just want by myself. Phones, I get it. I'm on your side. I know. I'm just talking to it out here.
Starting point is 00:15:57 I'm on your side. And I get it too. I'm just saying dating is probably hard these days because of Instagram. Back in our day, we wouldn't. We'd go on a bunch of dates, but I wouldn't tell all the other ones. They would maybe assume, but this is proof. But I've put the proof out there. I could lie or just not even lie.
Starting point is 00:16:13 I could just not say anything. Right. But we had talked about it on the show, and I wanted to tag her and let our listeners, they were part of that bit, so. Yeah. Cool. It's the thing.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Okay. Cool. It's just, that's life, like you said. Yeah. It's part of it. He's dating unapologetically. What did you say?
Starting point is 00:16:29 Unapologetically. Morgan number two, how do you feel about this? You're also dating. You hear my stories. What do you think? I mean, I wouldn't tag them. I wouldn't tag anybody until like I'm really serious about it.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Well, it was a bit on the show. I know, but you didn't tag other bits on the show. We've talked about other dates before and you didn't tag them. Not really. Not specifically. Did we? Explain the tag.
Starting point is 00:16:52 What did you tag? He put a picture of her and tagged it. But not the other ones. And he's basically like best date ever. I mean, we really talked about the flight attendant, but you never tagged her? Did I not? No. Oh, come on.
Starting point is 00:17:07 Listen, what do I know? Morgan, Normature, how do you feel about this? Are you jealous? Yeah, jealous. That's exactly what I was going for. There's no. No, Bobgers are out of my mouth. Lunchbox. No. I say that because I'm kidding, obviously. Go ahead. But are you? No, I'm not jealous. I'm trying to help Bobby out. Yeah. Yeah. I got a call here. I want to be on the post show. Hello, Adam and Arkansas. How are you, bud? Doing good. How are you? Hey, good. So I got a message here that says, how do you get on the post show?
Starting point is 00:17:37 Yes. Yeah, you're on it right now. Okay. What you want to say? Love watching the show. Thank you. Listen to it on our heart radio. Appreciate that. Malvern, Arkansas. Actually grew up in Poland.
Starting point is 00:17:55 Graduated at Poland. I know both of those well. We used to play Malvern and football. Yeah. Yeah. And poems were Justin Morse from, Amy. I know that. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:18:04 Yeah, I graduated with him. I was in the same class. We both went to school from kindergarten to to 12 grade, so. There you go. Well, I appreciate that. Anything else you want to say? I think that's it.
Starting point is 00:18:23 All right. Well, I appreciate you being on the post show pre-show. You may be our first guest. Oh, yeah. Adam in Arkansas. Yeah. All right, good appearance, bud. All right.
Starting point is 00:18:33 Have a good day. See you. There you go. And just like that. Mm-hmm. That easy people. I got a message from our boss. I read it to you.
Starting point is 00:18:46 What do you say? Hey man, just letting you know very aware about the phone issues for your studio. Good. I guess they heard me complaining about it today. Or just listen to the show the last week. And some calls, yeah. Sounds like Star Wars. I know every time it does that noise, I cringe.
Starting point is 00:19:07 Yeah. And me too. And first I was just blaming on the callers. Not to the callers, but I'd be like bad signals, I guess. I blamed it on the new phone girl. And I was like, oh, no, it's not her fault after a while. That sucks for her. I know.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Okay. I feel like you've kept your cool about it. About what? The phones? I have to. I have to. I know. There are so many other things we get upset about.
Starting point is 00:19:28 I know. I don't even get upset anymore about stuff. Okay. Yeah, I'm noticing. Like, it's just like... I feel like previous Bobby that I've worked with. Years ago, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:19:36 Would have been lit up about this phone situation. Oh, would have been like a lit. Now that was when you were more fun, you let loose and yell at people. That's not me anymore. Yeah, no. I have different things to concern myself. The childish stuff, I don't care as much. about anymore. I got other things that I feel are more important and to put my energy.
Starting point is 00:19:54 And in life, we prioritize our energies. That's right. We only have so much energy. So if I want to wasted at yelling at the phones, then I believe that would be wasted energy. I don't do drama. I don't do gossip. I don't do gossip. I mean I gossip sometimes in the room, but you're the only person I kind of, oh, Morgan number two and I gossip a little bit. But mostly it's just about us, though. If we're gossiping about ourselves, is that gossip or no? No, I don't think so. Well, my energy is in different places at this point in my life. Yeah. Not at the phones.
Starting point is 00:20:26 Unless it happens tomorrow, then I may explode. Yeah. You only have so much energy. Remember that, everyone. You choose where you get to put your energy because it's not unlimited. So the end. It's good advice. On that one.
Starting point is 00:20:41 I was getting it. I was saying something before we start today's show. Phones, got a message from the boss. I don't know. Is there anything else you guys want to know before we conclude this? I feel like we've... This is your last day being 38. What time were you born?
Starting point is 00:20:56 Do you know? I don't know. You don't know what time you were born? I don't even know. I don't know much about being a kid, a young young kid. Do you know what time you were born? Yeah, like 836 a.m. Wow, to the minute.
Starting point is 00:21:06 Like. You all don't know that. Okay. Life. I don't know somewhere if I'm reported to estimate 836 and 32 seconds. St. David's. Yeah, by the way, tomorrow is my birthday. We won't make a big deal about it on the show that much.
Starting point is 00:21:20 We may talk about it a little bit. but what listeners always send me lots of cool gifts and I've asked it if you were going to do that not to and instead make it like a $5 donation to musicians on call. The link will be up at bobbybones.com and, you know, are we going to put a link up Morgan number two? So don't do it until we get the link up. If it's not up right now, then don't just wait.
Starting point is 00:21:41 And you don't have to do it at all. But I think in lieu of gifts, you know, make that donation. We can't all wear like glasses, darkroom glasses and hoodies. No. Like we did that listen? No. Did that happen? Yeah,
Starting point is 00:21:52 we got in trouble. Oh, because it's the distraction. What was that? And listeners couldn't see it. This is birthday. And you guys were doing it on. It's for you.
Starting point is 00:21:58 It's for your birthday. You can do it not on the air. Like, we're on the air and everybody's in this and it's like, well, I have to address it, but no one can see it. It's like, if we're doing a TV show, like a morning daytime TV show, that had been funny. But it's like, know the room. The best was that lunchbox didn't want to wear it. And we're like, you have to wear it. And then as soon as you were like, take those obvious.
Starting point is 00:22:17 He's like, do you. Yeah, well, he knows. I know. I was like, he's not going to like this. Like, he's not going to like it. It had been funny for, like, I walk in and there's a video. I forgot about that. But, man, and you guys, you got to wear it. Oh, my gosh, this will be so funny.
Starting point is 00:22:30 First thing he says, take him off. I mean. No, I was like, all right, guys, this is radio. No one sees it. I saw it. It was for your birthday. It wasn't for radio. But it was still for, I read it was on the radio, on a microphone.
Starting point is 00:22:41 It's like when people do something special for someone at work, no one else going to see it. No, no. No, but we were, it was for a joke on the air. and no one could see it. I thought it was just for you. Okay. Oh, boy. I'm cranky at this point.
Starting point is 00:22:56 Yeah, let's, he's good. Amy, anything else you'd like to, me to address? No. I guess we're good. Yeah. I'm trying to think if there's anything that went left undone today. I heard someone was in my parking spot out there and lunchbox didn't do anything about it. That's right.
Starting point is 00:23:13 I told him about it. And I was like, dude, there's a, there's a van out there in the parking spot. Get the boot. And he didn't do it. And he was like, I'm on it. And then he found it as like a plumber's van or something. And he was like, I can't, I can't do that. Well, yeah, you can't do that.
Starting point is 00:23:25 Why not? Because it's parking the spot. It's working on something. So it clearly says reserve for Bobby Bones. And then lunchbox got on the radio and said, I got your back, bones. Like, no one's ever going to park there again. Oh, wow. And then, I guess since the dude's a plumber, he can get away with it.
Starting point is 00:23:43 No, the truth is, I don't know where the boot is. It's supposed to be stored in that room and I can't find it. anywhere and I had errands to run so I didn't have time to just I mean I looked at glass couldn't find it no I had a wedding to get too so I mean I was busy that day Eddie did you I have fun at the wedding oh man
Starting point is 00:24:00 shit a blast yeah it's fun yes we all had a blast was I fun you were a lot of fun thank you yeah sometimes I struggle with that like ooh am I allowed to have fun here no you were having a good time you're like I think that's a total safe space for you to have fun if you're gonna have fun that's a place to do it well at one point
Starting point is 00:24:16 when Despacito was playing Eddie and I was the only dance with each other. Oh, I saw that. Despacito. Jam. And we were the only two on the dance floor, like,
Starting point is 00:24:26 going at it. Yeah, like pretty much grinding. Yeah. Yeah, like I hadn't bent over. I was really just sticking it. It felt weird after a while and then we stopped. I thought it felt great.
Starting point is 00:24:33 Okay, you did. Maybe I stopped it. Yeah, I thought the wedding was good. It was a good. Pretty safe spot, huh? I feel like, I'm glad you had fun. It was good to see you, like, letting loose.
Starting point is 00:24:45 But you weren't there, you didn't see it. On Instagram. Yeah. People were posting. and stuff. Were they? Well, you were. Yeah, I posted a few things. And I loved your date. She was awesome. Yeah, she's cool, huh? I'll talk about that later in the show.
Starting point is 00:24:56 They're super cool. She was like, I'll be a good date. I can like handle myself. And I was like, cool. And then she did. Yeah. It's like she was just talking to people. Wasn't even, sometimes didn't see her for like two hours. Correct. Because you're on the dance floor. No, I was not talking to people. They'd be like, hey, tell me about the show. I'd sit and talk with them for a bit.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Oh, do y'all want to end on a motivational quote from Dion Sanders? that he just posted. Dionne who? Dionne Sanders. Go ahead. Is that not how you say? It is. Don't listen to him.
Starting point is 00:25:24 Go ahead. Okay. Look around you and it's easy to see your destination based on the people around you. You need to be stretched, challenged, and motivated. Change your environment if you truly want to change. Hashtag truth. That's why I went to the Cowboys. Huh?
Starting point is 00:25:40 That was too long. You don't get it? If you want change, see what could change around you to help. but I feel like we're all pretty Follow me kids Yeah Look around Look around
Starting point is 00:25:54 Look this way Follow me Yeah we found our destination Yeah get on Now just We're just trying to wait And see where we're going now Yeah exactly

Starting point is 00:27:28 Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. We're transmitting. Hey, good morning. Welcome to the show. More on the studio. Morning. Okay, here's your dumb debate.
Starting point is 00:27:43 We'll start with this. Is it okay to walk fast down an escalator when you're in a hurry? Escalator's going down. Is it okay to just like, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, and go down. and go down an escalator if it's moving down and you've got to ask people to kind of, excuse me, excuse me, excuse me, Amy. Yes, it's okay.
Starting point is 00:28:02 Yep, yep, because sometimes there may not be stairs, it may just be the escalator, and you might be in a hurry. I go up escalators faster. I don't ride it. I walk it. If there's people in the way, though. Yeah, you said, excuse me, right? No, I know, but how much time are you really saving?
Starting point is 00:28:18 It's like, to me, in traffic, if there's a lot of traffic and you're, like, jumping in and out of people. Like you save like 19 seconds. Hey, sometimes I'm coming to work and I make it just in time within 19 seconds. Sometimes you have to be somewhere and you might need those 19 seconds. Lunchbox, if there's someone standing in an escalator, would you be like, excuse me, I got to go and run down an escalator? No, don't be that annoying person.
Starting point is 00:28:43 I hate when people do that. Just sit there or take the stairs. Find an alternate route. These are free, leisurely people that are trying to enjoy the trip up or down the escalator. and your time is not that go up the stairs get out of my way you're annoying if you do that you cannot do that you do bring up a good point like if you're in a hurry take the stairs right but sometimes there's not no there's always no there's always there okay maybe not right there maybe not right there maybe the stairs are like further away then that's certainly not convenient according to an engineering professor we have to
Starting point is 00:29:14 stop walking on escalators when we're in a hurry because it slows everything down oh it does I don't I don't I don't understand that engineer according to an engineering according to an engineering professor, we need to stop walking down or up escalators when in a hurry. The most efficient thing to do on an escalator is to have two people ride side by side that would get the most people up or down the fastest. When someone starts walking, they may get up or down a little faster, but overall it makes the whole process slower. Thanks, Amy for slowing us all down.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I didn't do. Thank you, Amy. Sorry, I, sorry. And sorry in advance, I'm probably still going to do it. You want to get science there? Yeah, I mean, that's one engineer. Yeah, but it's you versus you. What are you?
Starting point is 00:29:57 Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. Life-changing announcement. Amy, is it you that has a life-changing announcement? It is not me. Oh. Number two, is it you that has a life-changing announcement? It's not me. Bobby.
Starting point is 00:30:23 What's up? Is it you? Life-changing announcement from you? Well, it's not. That leaves Eddie in lunchbox. He leaves Eddie and lunchbox. Eddie, our video producer, is it you who has a life-changing announcement? It's me.
Starting point is 00:30:46 It's Eddie. It's Eddie. It's Eddie. Okay, all right. What is your life-changing announcement? Guys, this is big. Life-changing. My family, I have a wife and two boys.
Starting point is 00:31:01 And now I have two more foster kids in my house. I am a foster parent, guys. This is crazy. And amazing. So. And crazy. I don't know what you can say, but how old, can you say how old the kids are? No, I don't, I don't want to give too many.
Starting point is 00:31:16 I can say there's a newborn. Okay. A baby. Yeah. In my house. And then another child. So how did you become a foster parent? Okay.
Starting point is 00:31:25 So this goes back about a year ago. My wife wanted to adopt. And we've been talking about adoption for like, forever. And I've been kind of the dark cloud of just like, no, I just don't think we're ready for that. I just don't think we want to do that yet. And then about a year ago, I was like met in the middle with my wife. It's like, how about we just kind of think about fostering? So we went to some classes. And your wife was like child protective services for a while? She worked child protective services for about five or six years in Texas. So she's seen a lot of
Starting point is 00:31:54 stuff. Yes. And I think from back then is when she wanted to kind of knew she's always wanted to be involved in something like that. So we were like, all right, let's get certified and let's just see what happens. We got certified, which was like a four, four month process last year. And I put kind of these real strict, like, restrictions. And like, we can't take any kids above this age. Like, I just don't think we're prepared for that as a family, the size of my house, etc. And so I guess because of that, nothing was happening. Nothing. We've waited for like four months and we never got a call. So we kind of were thinking, like, we're, I mean, let's just, we give it a shot. It may not happen. And then finally it just happened. So what just happens? They call you overnight? We get a call
Starting point is 00:32:38 and it was like late at night and they say, um, we have a placement for you if you guys are ready. And we're like, okay. I think we're ready. How fast does it happen? They say have a placement. Is it like a week later? No, no, no. Hours. Like we need you to come to the hospital and pick up the baby. Wow. Wow. Wow. So we went to the hospital and picked up the baby. I'm recreating my emotions that I had then. I know all of this. But I'm recreating all of the emotions. Because I was like, what, you, what Eddie? Like, Eddie came in and he was like, I have a baby in my house. I was like, you have a what?
Starting point is 00:33:08 Guys, I, it's five years since I've had a baby, you know, like since my son, my, my smallest son, he's five now. I didn't, I mean, car seats change. Like, I didn't know how to take the base off the bottom of the car seat. Like, I'm taking the whole box in the hospital. They're like, you've got a whole box in? Like, what are you doing? Like, everything's changed. I just feel like I'm just so out of practice.
Starting point is 00:33:27 See, and you have two kids. I have two kids of my own, and now we have two foster kids. So, I mean, we have four kids running around the house. Well, the baby doesn't really run around, but... What's it like having a baby again? That's crazy. It's crazy. Like, we're... The sleep is a little limited, you know?
Starting point is 00:33:43 But my wife and I, I think we've kind of figured out a way to be able to function. Like, she... She stay-at-home mom, so she can kind of afford to wake up in the middle of night. I can't. I have to wake up early. So on the weekends, I kind of have baby duty weekdays. She takes care of that. But, hey, you know what?
Starting point is 00:34:01 I'm changing diapers again. You're the only one clapping for yourself. He was applause for that because he didn't really do it for his biological children. Probably changed a total of five diapers before this baby came into my life. So with that said, you have four kids in your house right now. How long do they stay? So it's about a year. It is kind of the max time.
Starting point is 00:34:24 But the whole process is designed this way. It's designed for us to just serve as a house. and a safe place for these kids as while their parents kind of figure out whatever they need to figure out whatever problems they got themselves into they've got about a year to figure all that out and they got these requirements that they need to meet
Starting point is 00:34:44 and until then we kind of figure out if these kids go back to their parents or they go up for adoption. Would you all consider adoption? Right now we're trying to stay on track and just be like, you know what? This was our decision and we're going to try to stick to it, but I feel like the more we have these kids.
Starting point is 00:35:04 I feel like it's going to be so attached. Are you already attached? I mean, yeah. I mean, it hasn't even been that long. And yes, we're very attached. And then our kids, I mean, I think the example for my two kids, my biological kids is like, it's great. They see this happening. And guys, I didn't grow up this way.
Starting point is 00:35:23 I didn't grow up knowing what foster care was. You know, we didn't, my parents didn't have any friends that had fostered. Like, we didn't know anything about this. So for me to even think that this was going to happen to me in my life is ridiculous. Like I would have never thought this is going to be me in my life, but it has become that. And I'm just like happy about it. Look at this guy. Video producer Eddie.
Starting point is 00:35:44 Now that's four kids. Doubled it up. I mean, it's stressful, but I'm like, it's just such a good thing. And I see these kids and I know what kind of household we have. And it's going to be good for them. It is. I mean, and being a foster parent, like Eddie, you and your wife, like y'all are doing Y'all are doing
Starting point is 00:36:01 something amazing for these kids and I love that y'all are doing it and y'all can do it you'll keep doing it for years and years and think of how many kids you could impact. We could. How, if listeners are listening and they go, oh, I think this would be something I'd be interested in. Like, what's the first step if you wanted to become a foster parent?
Starting point is 00:36:18 I think, I mean, we went through church. The church was a big deal for us, you know, so we had a speaker coming at church one day and I just kind of sparked the thought in my head. But I think for anyone else, you can just really Google fostering and how you can do it in your state. I mean, it's really, it's not that hard.
Starting point is 00:36:36 We've only been doing it for a small amount of time, but it's a lot easier than I ever thought it would be. It has this stigma attached to it or something, you know, like, oh, foster parents. Like, it seems like a bad thing. But now that I'm living it, I feel like anyone can do this. There he is. I'm producing.
Starting point is 00:36:53 This guy. Guys, life changing. From McAllen, Texas. You're 40 now, right? I'm 40. 40 years old. Producer Eddie! Hey, stop crushing candy

The Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer, Ramundo, who is in the glass room with the news and his microphone.
Starting point is 00:38:15 Ramundo, what you got over there? In military news in Arizona, two Marine pilots were killed during a routine training mission after their helicopter came down in the Arizona desert. Authorities are investigating. In airport news, if you have a flight today, no real delayed across the country, but probably
Starting point is 00:38:31 get to the airport a little early. It is Monday after that weekend for the TSA line. And find the in-sports. Final four is all set. Texas Tech, Michigan State, Auburn, and Virginia. Games get underway on Saturday. It's a Bobby Bones show. Amy's 8-year-old son wants to start playing drums.
Starting point is 00:38:47 Well, I mean, it has been suggested for him to play drums because his attention span with piano like wasn't that great. And they say for kids his age, drums are perfect. Can you imagine this all the time? No, no. That teacher doesn't like you. There's something there.
Starting point is 00:39:01 Yeah. So, daughter's still taking piano, still good. And I got to make the decision soon about drums. And, I mean, we don't know what to do because I just don't even, I don't want the drums action in my house. I mean, we're not going to get a drum set, but like even then how is it going to practice? Well, okay, let me make a suggestion as a semi-musician. And Eddie's a real musician. Semi.
Starting point is 00:39:25 Yeah, semi-real. So don't do drums. Only do drums. Why'd she say that? She's a music teacher. telling you she didn't like you. Because she's going to need you to come back. And obviously if he's not into piano,
Starting point is 00:39:36 he's not going to want to go back. Drums are fun to hit. But drums are tough because you don't play them with anyone. You're just sitting around playing drums, especially as a kid, you're not playing with anyone. And you can't play songs. You can't sing to a song. Yeah, you can't take a guitar
Starting point is 00:39:49 and you get kind of good where you can play, smoke on the water, which is like the first song I learned how to play guitar. Yeah. It's not the thing. Well, she said you could start off with like sticks and a practice pad, and then if he really liked it,
Starting point is 00:40:02 I guess there's these like little portable electronic sets where they have headphones, so you don't have to hear the banging. But I'm like... He just may not like music. No, I think he does. No, to play. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:16 Well, no, he's interested. He wants to keep... Like, he kind of was like, okay, I guess if she doesn't think I should do piano, then we're trying to figure it out. Eucoletly, maybe. Yes, why don't you do ukulele, which is a small guitar? I don't know why. He's a very small kid.
Starting point is 00:40:29 something a guitar would be tough for them. You can buy a kid's guitar, though. Okay. Yeah. We're talking to her this week, so. Music is so hard. Stasheera is good at piano. I mean, for her, you know, one or two lessons, I feel like she's, she'll, she picks up quickly.
Starting point is 00:40:46 What would you recommend, Eddie? Yeah, piano. I mean, I really, just like piano, guitar, I'm with you on the drums. Like, I mean, there are people that are really good drummers and they did start out playing drums, and that's great and all, but. Isn't it, like, isn't the drums, like, is so important? though? It is? Yes, but for people
Starting point is 00:41:01 who want to play the drums and a lot of my friends that are drummers played other instruments first. Okay. But, listen, if I were me starting over, I would learn to play piano.
Starting point is 00:41:08 Okay. That's something you can have your whole life and people will always think it's cool. Oh, yeah. And you can learn to read music which can help you in other places.
Starting point is 00:41:15 And if that's not the case, I would get them into guitar. I just wouldn't not get them into drums because you're going to hear this all the time. Even when he's not
Starting point is 00:41:21 to play music, he's going to beat on them to beat on them. I know. And imagine that with like crash symbols. No, I can't. I can't.
Starting point is 00:41:29 So my advice would be piano. Well, I guess we just find a different teacher. The teacher's like, I can't teach him piano. Yeah, I'll find, I'd find a different teacher. Okay. Hey, you can't find piano. Eddie, do your kids' music or no? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:42 Well, they have a drum set. At the house? Yes, I bought him a drum set. Oh, my. And they rarely use it. So there we go. Don't do it. It's basically a treadmill.
Starting point is 00:41:51 Yeah, they used it for like one week, and now they never touch it. Mm-hmm. No, no. But I think if Stashear keeps it up with piano, we'll have to get a little keyboard so she can practice. Let me know when you need that recital. I'll hold a sign of it. I'll give it to you.
Starting point is 00:42:04 Really? Yeah. Oh, cool. Do you have a keyboard? Yep. Kids don't want that either? They don't even mess up. We have a piano, so they'd rather play that.
Starting point is 00:42:10 Oh, yeah. I'm not going to get a piano yet until we know for sure. But if she really into it, then we'll get one. Well, you're just putting everything on them. No, no. Soccer, music. No. Dance.
Starting point is 00:42:22 That's a lot. That's cool. This would be like if they were in school. This is a compliment. And we're not forcing any of it. They just need to be exposed. If they don't like it, okay, no problem. On to the next.
Starting point is 00:42:31 They just need to know what's out there and I want them to be well-rounded and have options and, you know, find what they love. Like, that's just what's so hard is they, they're just, all of this is new to them. They didn't grow up watching their big brother or big sister play a sport.
Starting point is 00:42:46 So they're like, what are we doing? What are these uniforms? Why are we here? What's happening? Is your son's equestrian lesson today? No, but. I mean, should they? Should they ride horses?
Starting point is 00:42:56 That's a rich person thing, big time. Oh, yeah. Just teach them more riding. Just let them watch. They can do mutton busting. There you go, yeah, yeah. On the Bobby Bones show now. Abby Anderson.
Starting point is 00:43:08 Abby. Hey, hey, what's up, Mr. Bobby? Why are you out with being? Because you always so, like, bubbly and a good mood. Abby, I was just talking to you. I was talking to a friend of mine because I think last time you here you were talking about You were the first girl in your middle school's history to play football on the football team? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:43:30 I don't know if it was history. I don't know if it was history. Well, in my story, it was history, Abby. We'll stick with history. That makes me sound cooler, so I'm cool. What position did you play? I was running back and a wide receiver. So cool.
Starting point is 00:43:45 Isn't that crazy? Yeah. And I was like, yeah. Go ahead, Abby. It's just for one year in the sixth grade, but, you know. Yeah, but that's really good. cool. Like as a sixth grader, Abby Anderson was playing running back on her football team. And my friend was like, that's right. I was like, she does what? I said now she's like an awesome artist, like,
Starting point is 00:44:04 sings these great songs, plays piano. So how, are everything good in your life? What's happening? Man, everything's great. We're driving back from, we're driving to Atlanta right now, driving from a gig. This is going to be a good week. Well, I have you on. If you laugh, it makes me laugh. Every time you laugh, it makes you laugh. Well, listen, I have, listen, I called you a little bit. on the air because you have a new song. I'm proud of you for having it because I think
Starting point is 00:44:28 it's good and I kind of want to just talk about it for a second. I'm going to play a clip of it. Here's a good lord from Abby Anderson. You heard the shit in? Yes. All right, Abby, tell me about this song. Okay, so I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas, but I have
Starting point is 00:44:49 a lot of family out in East Texas. And, I mean, we're country, okay? So it's like I call my grandpa's people and my grandmother is granny joe and aunt sue and aunt shirley and all growing up we would always sit on the front porch and my favorite memories were sitting with with all those women listening to them gossip and every time a good-looking man would walk by or say anything they'd have to say something like good lord this and good lord dad and uh one time of grannie joe said something like
Starting point is 00:45:24 Good Lord, that man can melt butter on Texas toast. So every time I had this, you know, I've been dating my boyfriend now for a year, and he's just the best thing God ever gave me. And I was thinking about him and all that's the whole saying my family would say. There you go. Good Lord, I got a good man. There it is. I look at you talking about this boyfriend now because months ago, Abby and I were having dinner after a show.
Starting point is 00:45:54 She opened for me. dating this guy. She's like, I really think he's the one. And she was like, what? I think we were talking about when you start to show people on social media, because that's a thing. That you're with someone, yeah. Yeah. And so. And I try to, and I don't know, you're, I feel like you do the same thing. You know, you keep it private. And I think that's real important. And he's just too special to just show the world. His face is just too handsome. People might just think out a little too much, you know. You're talking about me, right?
Starting point is 00:46:21 I'll give that one to you Okay, all right, all right Listen, Abby Anderson I'm gonna play her new song right now She is definitely a favorite of mine She's on Instagram Abby Anderson music And this is her new song called Good Lord

So this guy lost his wallet, but he had one of those trackers in it, like a tracking device. You know, there's little tile things that are tiny you can throw in your backpack or whatever. And he knew that it had gotten thrown away, hauled away by the trash man, and taken to the sanitation department.
Starting point is 00:51:37 Like, so now it's amongst like a 2,000 pound pile of trash. So he shows up and he's like, hey, I know my wallet's here because of a tracking device and I'm going to go out and dig. one of the workers at the sanitation department was like, you know what? I'm going to come out there and help you. And because he helped him, he's the one that ended up finding it. And it took him only 15 minutes to track it down. Hey, good for him. He didn't have to do that.
Starting point is 00:52:01 No, not at all. And then, I mean, yeah, because who wants to go dig through trash? But this guy did it. And they found the fact that they found it. I thought you'd be in a certain range of the little track of thing. Well, they still had to dig around. Yeah. Like even if you find it and you're in a bunch of trash, you're going to go digging around.
Starting point is 00:52:18 Yeah. All right. There you go. Thank you, Amy. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobby Bones Show. Bonehead. Story of the day.
Starting point is 00:52:26 This story comes to us from Dundee, Florida. Brian Anderson was supposed to be at work at 11 a.m. at Hardee's, but he just wanted the day off. You know, and instead of calling in sick, what's he do? He calls 911 and says, look, I've been robbed at gunpoint. They stole my phone, my wallet, and my necklace. So police respond, and after asking him a few questions, his story unraveled. He got arrested for misuse of 911, so he got the day off, but not the way he thought. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:52:55 That's good, man. Got him. There you go. That's it. I'm Lunchbox. That's your Bonehead story of the day. The Bobby Bone Show. Let's play some trivia, everybody.
Starting point is 00:53:04 We'll be a chip time here. The questions are now being handed to me. I have not seen the questions in any form, any fashion. I will read them as they are, one, two, and three, and then one, two and three. Any tiebreakers on there, they've been verified by not only our Ramundo, who is a dude, and also our girls in the glass room and they're producing the crap out of the show. Are you guys ready to rock?
Starting point is 00:53:24 Ready. Yeah. Warm, ready. The winner of this game is the champion with 10 wins. We've been playing this for 18 weeks. And they'll be able to call themselves Amy versus Lunchbox champion.
Starting point is 00:53:37 You know what? Nobody cares, but you'll still be able to call yourself that. Will we ever play again? Well, we'll see what happens. You may not want to play again after you feel it's lost. No, because I don't want to redeem myself. Are we ready?
Starting point is 00:53:49 Amy I have three questions that most people would assume dudes would know the answers to fair or not that's how the game works Question number one Typically
Starting point is 00:54:03 What color Are the positive and negative ends On jumper cables Now think about jumper cables Now don't say a bunch of answers I'm just going to take one answer from you Now think about this
Starting point is 00:54:16 Because I need no Any drama here Jumper cables, there's a plus and a minus. What color is a plus and a minus? One answer is red. That's in. Those are the only options. There's only two colors.
Starting point is 00:54:29 The question is, what color are the positive and negative ends of jumper cables that are two colors? Red. Okay. Red. Red. I feel like I'm picturing orange, but orange would be too close to red, and that could be confusing for people. So red and yellow. Oh, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:54:43 It's incorrect. What is it? It is red and black. It is red and black. Oh, wow. Lunchbox still. He is on the board with a steel. I thought that was a softball.
Starting point is 00:54:54 I've never jumped a cable. Oh, interesting. You're not supposed to jump a cable. Interesting. Amy. What? Go. This is a dude question.
Starting point is 00:55:04 A Windsor, Pratt, and four in hand are types of what? A Windsor, a Pratt. Is that you say it? I don't even know that. I mean, I know it by the... You don't even know it? I didn't do the questions. Barely.
Starting point is 00:55:21 Windsor. Technically. Pratt and four in hand are types. Are you saying four and hand? The number four in hand. Right, is that what it's called? Four in hand? That's correct.
Starting point is 00:55:33 Do you know this? Yes. Okay. What are they? A Windsor. Uh-huh. If he knows it, the soccer ball. Why would you give, why would you do that?
Starting point is 00:55:45 Because I don't know what it is. Why would you just throw away an answer like that? What would you have guessed to be the really? Golf club? No. But then you didn't know what it was and you golfed. But I did. I would have got it right.
Starting point is 00:55:53 But just by Windsor. Notts. What? Do you want any more specific? More specific plays for championship rounds. Oh, a Windsor knot. More specific plays by the judges for championship round. I don't understand how you can be more specific.
Starting point is 00:56:05 Oh! Maybe you've already lost. But I can still just guess. Not just a knot. What kind of knot? What? They're all different types of knots because a Windsor Not is not the same as a four-in-hand knot, So I don't know what knots you want me to say.
Starting point is 00:56:20 The judge tells me a specific knot. A rope knot. Like a... Judges? You accept it? No. What? Can I guess?
Starting point is 00:56:30 Yeah. Notical? No. It's a necktie knot. Not a... Oh. It's a necktide only. Netty knot.
Starting point is 00:56:35 Yeah. A lot of not. Okay. So far I'm doing... Awesome. You got zero, Amy. Yeah, well, okay. I would not have gotten that.
Starting point is 00:56:45 Don't get mad at me for saying soccer ball. I had no guess. Amy. What does MMA stand for in fighting? Oh, she rolls out. She doesn't know. She doesn't know it. Wow, that's crazy.
Starting point is 00:56:55 M.A. You know. Yeah. You can talk this one out because it's funny. For our listeners, they should hear you talk it out because you don't know it. Go ahead. Yeah, well, I feel like there could be some sort of Marshall in there in association. But Master Marshall.
Starting point is 00:57:10 Oh, no, arts. It's for Arts. Marshall Arts. The MMA, like, manipulative. In five seconds, in five seconds, I'm going to have you tell me your answer. It's going to be your final answer. You're talking to doubt. Move over.
Starting point is 00:57:23 Okay. Manudo. Oh, great band. Great food. Amy, and your answer, the next thing you say is your answer. Go ahead. Master martial arts. No, I'm sorry.
Starting point is 00:57:34 Oh, you were so close. It's mixed martial arts. But hey, Master, that was close. You went 0 for 3? Namaste. In the championship round. He already won because he stole one of my points. No.
Starting point is 00:57:46 He only got two points. You could steal all three of his. You can still steal it. I forgot. Yeah, but okay. Okay. Lunchbox, are you ready? All you have to do is get one.
Starting point is 00:57:56 All I have to do is get one. All I have to do is get one. Red and yellow. Red and yellow. Okay, are you ready? I hope. Fabletics is a woman's sportswear company founded by what actress? Fabletics.
Starting point is 00:58:09 Think about this. You want to talk it out. I like it because you get this. You chant. Oh, man. Fabletics. Fabletics. I think I have a guess.
Starting point is 00:58:19 What are you leaning toward? A hottie. Oh, interesting. I like to shop her body. Interesting. Go ahead. Fabletics. For the win.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Let me cue the song, though, just in case. Okay. Go ahead. Jessica Alba. Yes. I'm in. I'm in. I'm in.
Starting point is 00:58:33 I'm back in. Amy. To be still in the game. Amy, Fabletics is by? Clearly, Lunchbox has not heard my Fabletics commercials. You do a commercial? Yes, I do right here on the Bobby Bone show. I didn't know that.
Starting point is 00:58:45 I didn't know either. I didn't know that. Well, nobody knew that. I didn't know that. Oh, so you're telling me you've never done any commercials for anything. Well, he talks about MMA on his podcast. Oh, you just had an MMA fighter on your podcast. But I don't do commercials for them.
Starting point is 00:58:58 Regardless, we're not doing this. We're shutting it down. Amy, go ahead. Why would you even say that, Amy? Just answer the question. Well, because I was trying to say he doesn't listen. Go ahead. I don't.
Starting point is 00:59:07 Kate Hudson. There you go. I would have known at BTW without the commercials. The score is now Lunchbox 2. Amy 1. Points have only been got on still so far. Wow. Ready?
Starting point is 00:59:17 Yeah. Lunchbox. Yeah. Oh, you always do good at these questions. Great. Pop singer Jesse Jay. You familiar with her? Nope.
Starting point is 00:59:30 Who's she dating? I don't even know who that is. Pop singer Jesse Jay is dating what actor. And I know this because I see on Instagram, like I have the big sites. Jesse Jay. Yeah. Pop singer Jesse Jay is dating what actor? Oh, man.
Starting point is 00:59:44 I don't think Amy knows. I sort of do know because I was just on her Instagram because she posted a picture of her cellulite and people were like, that's so awesome that she did that. Jesse J. She's a big superstar because I've never heard of her. Pops singer Jesse J. Who is she dating? Let's see.
Starting point is 01:00:01 For the win. Oh, Jesse J. For the win. Yeah, I'm just trying to think who it is. Hemsworth. Amy, to tie it up. I feel like I think that I know because I feel like he commented on her body. Okay, go ahead.
Starting point is 01:00:17 Amy, for the tie. Nice body, hottie. For the tie. But I can't remember if it's the same right person. Is it the right person? Is it him? Need an answer in three? Is she looking?
Starting point is 01:00:27 Two. Channing Tatum. Wow. This is crazy. Jesse J. I don't follow you, but like a magazine that I follow posted you and is saying you're so awesome. I'm going to give you your choice of subcategories. God just give me it.
Starting point is 01:00:45 I don't care. I don't want it. I don't want anybody to think it's rigged. It's not rigged. It's not rigged. Nothing's rich. I just want this to be the most entertaining for our listener experience. This is so entertaining.
Starting point is 01:00:53 So you can pick Lunchbox products. You can pick, um, wait, what's that? I'm trying to figure out. Wait, what are we doing here? You can pick products. I'm letting it pick his last category. Oh.
Starting point is 01:01:07 You can pick, well, you don't let me do that? Never done that before. I didn't get to pick my third question. She's kind of right about that. That's what I'm saying. Just going to do it. Okay, the one up top is, okay, this is the one on the list. Do you go in order? I'm in order.
Starting point is 01:01:21 Cream? This is the final question. Cream, pressed, and loose pigment. Oh, Amy doesn't know either. Are types of what? Cream, pressed, and loose pigment are types of what? Now, Lunchbox, if you get this, let me get the music ready here. You'll be the champion.
Starting point is 01:01:47 Loose pigment. Yeah. Cream? Amy does not look like she knows that I know. This is for the win. It's for the championship. Oh my gosh. Cream. Cream. Pressed and loose pigment. Go ahead. Lunchbox. The glassroom's all waiting. I hear the mumbling. Do you think he'll get it? Glassroom, do you think he'll get it? Yes or no?
Starting point is 01:02:03 Does lunchbox have it? I don't think you will. Lunchbox? For the win. Their cover up, their makeup, like blush. They're blush. Show me blush. No. Amy. You do. Which Amy doesn't know it either. Amy?
Starting point is 01:02:20 Well, I mean, I'm thinking through, like, I know. I need the exact thing written here. I cannot take anything except the exact thing here. I personally use a pressed powder. You know, your biography's not needed right now? We just need the answer. Well, I mean, this is how I refer, like in makeup. I know there's a cream.
Starting point is 01:02:36 For the win. Cream pressed and loose pigment are types of what? Glassroom, will she get this? Like a... I hope she does, but I don't think she's... No, no, you cannot say that. They can say whatever they want. I asked them the same question.
Starting point is 01:02:48 I know, but she goes, I don't think she's on the right track. No, that's what she said. I didn't take it as that. Go ahead, Amy. I can hear that. It's, well, when you say loose pigment, I'm talking it through lunchbox, when you say loose pigment, that makes me think of a foundation. Go ahead.
Starting point is 01:03:01 A coverage. Cream pressed and loose pigment? You have three seconds for the championship? Come on. I mean, foundation. Foundation for the championship. Show me. Foundation.
Starting point is 01:03:15 Oh! Now, ladies and gentlemen, there is no clear way. to do a tiebreaker so it moves the next week. There's a no one championship next week. It's like soccer. You're so unfulfilled. Wow, wow, wow. There you have it.
Starting point is 01:03:32 You guys are terrible. I will say this, to the ladies in the glass room and to the dude, Raymondo, who put the questions together. What was it? Eye shadow. It could not have been more fair because they both are terrible. So nice work to the people
Starting point is 01:03:46 who put the questions together. We have a tie. We're all good to go. Wow. Good? How do you guys feel Amy and Lynch Fox? I don't have a tiebreaker method and we don't need a tiebreaker
Starting point is 01:03:59 to some of the championship. They're just kind of down about it. It's fine. That was just a roller coaster. I went from like losing to winning. It was like this whole round. You don't know. It's like the whole game.
Starting point is 01:04:10 Okay. We're going to take a break, get some water. Come back up. Awesome. All right. There we go. There we have it. I don't think that anybody got their own question right. No.
Starting point is 01:04:19 Like Amy? I didn't get any of the boy. ones. And lunchbox got none in the girl ones. Interesting. There you have it. And that's the way the cookie crumbles. Thank you.

Starting point is 01:07:54 Let's bring our girl group in the studio. Here they are. Here's a question for you guys and we'll introduce everybody. Would you rather have a guy with a pair of six-pack abs and a nice chest or a guy who can just speak another language who's not super in shape.
Starting point is 01:08:21 Okay, you get to pick one. All right? We're going to go around the room here. What? Would you rather have like a guy with six-pack abs in the nice chest or he's just an average dude but he can speak another language.
Starting point is 01:08:33 Okay. Now it doesn't mean he's dumb if he has a six-pack, it's not one of the it's not other factors. It's just one of the two things, okay? So, first of all, let me bring in my co-host and best friend, Amy. Amy, how are you? Hey, doing good. Man, been married for 12 years.
Starting point is 01:08:51 I'm officially a soccer mom because now my kids play soccer so I feel cool like rolling around me like, this makes me an official soccer mom and I have a really bad back. Like it's just in pain all the time now. There you go. Over to our 25-year-old digital Morgan number two. Morgan number two, how are you? I'm doing good. I am 25 years old and my favorite food in the world is Italian.
Starting point is 01:09:13 And recently I have eaten Olive Garden takeout the past three weekends in a row. Italian. Is that out, that's not everybody in Wichita says. I'm in Wichita enough to know that people all over Wichita don't call it Italian food. No, but that's how my family is. says it. And let's go over to utility Hillary, who is doing like nine jobs
Starting point is 01:09:33 behind the scenes. Hillary, how are you? I'm doing good. I'm 26 years old and I actually have two rescue dogs but I had to leave them back home with my parents so they don't live here with me in Nashville. There you have it. Now here's the question. Amy. Yeah. This dude, right? You get
Starting point is 01:09:49 the option. He's got like ripped abs and nice chest or he can speak another language and it's just like dad bod. Okay. This is just, okay, okay. I mean, I have to go with my honest answer, but I don't like it. What were you going to say, though?
Starting point is 01:10:08 My honest answer? No, no, what were you going to say? You were like, this just... It just makes us sound so vain and, like, we're... Well, I think we know your answer, Abby. Abby Amy. Well, you said chest and muscles. So he can either have the abs in the chest, or he can speak a whole foreign language.
Starting point is 01:10:27 language fluently. Amy, what do you have? Like, I love that my husband hits the gym and he does have a good body and he's strong and I've never heard him speak another language and I'm fine with that. But think about all the places you could go and... What? Because he's using one other language. Oh, now you're hating. No, no. I mean, no, you just said all the place. So like, when we speak Spanish, how does that help you if we go to France? Well, it doesn't, but you can go to Mexico, you go to Spain, you can go to South America. I guess that would be cool to be able to navigate and get around and not need a tour guide to watch him like speak the language. Okay, I see what you're saying.
Starting point is 01:11:01 But is it so cool that you'd give up his abs and chest? No. Okay. Let's go over to digital Morgan. Morgan number two. Morgan number two, what do you think? I am the same as Amy. Honestly, it does feel really wrong.
Starting point is 01:11:15 But like I really do like a guy that works out. And we can learn another language together. Like he is, you know? You know what? He speaks body language. You guys can hit that Rosetta Stone in the mall together or what? Yeah, you know, but he has abs and then he can have both later on in life. We're good.
Starting point is 01:11:32 We're good. Now, we may have a clean sweep here. I'm not sure. Let's go to Hillary. Utility Hillary, now, utility Hillary, here's the options. You get a guy, he's got nice abs, like, too, too, too, too, and got a nice peck. You can tell you've been working out a little bit. Or he's just normal, dude.
Starting point is 01:11:48 He's a little love handle here. There's nothing crazy. A little little love handle. But he can speak another language like French fluently. What do you go with Hillary? I'm going with languages for sure. That's so sweet. So Hillary wins.
Starting point is 01:12:00 She's the nice one. No. Why so, Hillary? I don't know. I think it just means that they're really smart. Bodies can change. I mean, the person who has an abs, they may not have abs forever when we're older. So they'll have the languages, though. Someone's not shallow.
Starting point is 01:12:15 Wow, good one. I know. Does that make you shallow? Hey, let's put this poll up on our Twitter at Bobby Bone Show. The question is, in your man, would you rather have six-pack abs and nice chest or a normal dad bod, but the ability to speak another language fluently? You know, at Bobby Bone Show. The Bobby Bone Show. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:12:40 Okay, so, Peep's flavored coffee. What do you think about that? Well, I'm not a big coffee drinker. I don't like the taste. So peeps is even better than coffee taste to me, so I would be okay with it. Yeah. Well, if you're into it, Duncan Donuts is bringing it. It's like it's now available, like as of today.
Starting point is 01:12:59 And it's not an April Fool's Day joke. They are offering Peep's Flavor Coffee with extra sugary marshmallows too. I would also assume that if they're making it, it's been tested by a lot of people and it's got to be good. Yeah, and Dunkin' Donuts is known for amazing coffee. So I don't think that they would put anything out that would jeopardize their reputation. All right. What else you got? So if you're feeling stressed about something, I have a solution.
Starting point is 01:13:22 All you have to do is take a deep breath and picture your partner's face and it will calm you. So then let's make me think about Bobby like, take a deep breath and then who would you picture? Okay, here we go. Let's all try this together. Okay, I'm going to close my eyes. And take a deep breath. Well, you're never going to believe it. Who was it?
Starting point is 01:13:50 The girl from the wedding. David Schwimmer. Okay. That's your partner. Ross on Friends. I don't know why, Amy. that's what came to my mind when I did that. Well, okay, apparently just visualizing your significant other
Starting point is 01:14:03 may be just as helpful as actually having them there with you during times of high stress, which when you are stressed out, I will say it is helpful to have your person there with you. I wonder why David Schwimmer popped in my head, of all people. Maybe you should reach out to him. Yeah. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:14:19 All right. What else you got there, Amy? Okay. So good-looking people are six times more likely to get a job interview. view than equally qualified but less attractive people. And I was just like, ah, that's rude. Well, it is a world for good-looking people for sure, as lunchbox would tell you, it's easier for you guys, right, lunchbox?
Starting point is 01:14:41 I mean, look, when you're good-looking life is a lot easier. I mean, people give you things, people treat you differently, they let you go first, they open the door for you. I mean, it's pretty awesome. So you live a pretty good life, huh? Yeah, it's pretty easy. But I feel like there's some, it just doesn't matter, like, genetically how you're born. Like you can help with your looks, like making sure that you're clean shaven or you, you know, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:15:04 That's all you got. Like have a good haircut. Just make sure you shave. Then you're dressed to, like, properly for your job or. You can do things to, you know, make slight alterations and change, but you really can't. Like Eddie, who's on our show thinks he's the best looking guy on the show. Correct. I mean, between him and lunchbox, I mean, we got a regular American's next top model over here.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Right. Dang. We're so lucky. So is that why they got the job? Yeah, exactly. Pretty much. It was easy. Bobby said they needed people to go to the website, so needed hits.
Starting point is 01:15:37 And look, Amy, and honestly look at them. Another one of them that talented. See? It's funny to me sometimes. I still get notes from people that don't, yeah, they don't follow us on social media, and they haven't been to our website, and something randomly like sent them there, and they finally find out what we look like. And they're like, huh, interesting.
Starting point is 01:15:56 That is not what I had in my head. Usually it's, but I'm going to keep listening anyway. That's what I did this. All right. That's it? Yeah, that's it. Maybe that's my pile. That was Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:16:08 It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Damn it's something good. Rob is a cable guy in South Carolina and he reports to a home because they're having internet issues. So he shows up. The mom answers the door and he walks in and her three-year-old son just jumps in Robert's arms and wants to be held for 45 minutes because he was crying, she'd been having a rough day. And instead of, you know, like throwing a fit, Rob said, okay, sat there and rock the three-year-old
Starting point is 01:16:35 for 45 minutes while he worked on the woman's internet. Wow. Nice. Would that be a weird, Amy, if your kid jumped into somebody, like a maintenance man's arms? I mean, like Stevenson? I mean, he would do whatever. But, so no, not too weird. But just appreciative.
Starting point is 01:16:53 Yeah, I mean, I think that that's pretty cool of him to do that. I just wonder if your kid was just jumping in somebody's arms like that. Does that mean you're not loving them enough? Oh, that's the case. That's real bad because, yeah, I'm pretty sure Stevenson might be like, you want me to come live with you? Stevenson's eight. I know.
Starting point is 01:17:13 All right. Lunchbox is that. Hold on, hold on, hold on, hold on. Amy, what happened with your son and the police car? There was somebody, there was a traffic stop in your neighborhood? Yeah, like someone got. pulled over in our neighborhood for like, I don't know, it's like 35 miles an hour. I think they were speeding. Honestly, I don't know why, but I'm assuming they ran a stop signer were speeding because
Starting point is 01:17:31 it was in our neighborhood, like on a side street pulled over and Stevenson's on his scooter. So he's going way faster than me because it's an electric scooter. So he stays ahead of me and I'm far behind and I've got the dog, but I see him going up to a police officer who has pulled someone over. Like he's busy doing the traffic stop, riding the ticket. And Stevenson's like, hi, excuse me, What are you doing? Can I play with your call? Like, you know, because he thinks, especially now that he went to, like, tour this police station. I mean, he wants to be a police officer. He waves at every single one. He, like, gets the biggest smile on his face if they wave back. So he's always trying to talk to him. And yeah, it just got a little awkward when he went up to an officer literally pulling someone over. Like, I'm sure the person getting the ticket was like, kid, like, either thank you for the distraction and maybe you'll brighten this police officer's day and he won't give me as bad of a ticket or. Can you carry on, kid? I got to get this over with. What did the cops say? I see him talking and I just apologize.
Starting point is 01:18:26 I was like, I'm so sorry. I know you're trying to do a job. I said he's just a police officer when he grows up. And the police officer is really nice. He's like, oh, no worries, ma'am. It's totally fine. But I just felt awkward that's like coming up like, hey, what are you doing? That's pretty funny. Well, and good for that police officer there too.
Starting point is 01:18:42 Lots of good in this year. All right, yeah. That's tell me something good. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan number two 30 second skinny Thomas Rett dropped the track list

I was on Good Morning America last week talking about this, too. He hasn't been interviewed. Like, I went on Good Morning America, I think Friday, and was like, hey, everybody needs to relax. And Lil Nas X reached out. It was like, thanks, man.
Starting point is 01:20:14 So is he coming in? Well, I don't want to say too much. Okay. Let me just say that before the Jake Owen collab, there's been talking about another collab. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. All right. Is that it, Morgan number two?
Starting point is 01:20:26 Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinning. Starting point is 01:23:57 buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. Over to Amy right now. Here we go. The morning corny. What do you call a smart
Starting point is 01:24:17 group of trees? What do you call a smart group of trees? A brain forest. Oh, okay. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, wow. Not a rainforest of rain. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:24:32 It's a Bobby Bones show. That's so much talk about today. This Lil Nas X song is so funny because it's such a jam. Do you like this song or do you even know it that much? I mean, play it for me again? I got the horse season in the bag. I only know it because of you, though. Well, we were playing it last week.
Starting point is 01:24:48 But I like it. I was in New York. And they were like, good morning America. like, hey, come on the show and talk about Lil Nas X, if he's country or not. I was like, sure. I mean, guy goes up in a trailer park, like me, in the south, like me, why can't he be country? Because he's got some bass in his song. He's in a cowboy hat. Like, everything about him, except for the bass, you could easily be country. And so I go on, I'm like, yeah, why not? If you say your country and your message is country, then your country to me.
Starting point is 01:25:14 Well, you know what? You're going to stick around and help us out a little bit later, but I agree, Amy. So that happened, right? And I was like, yeah, who cares? Like, people stop telling people who they are. People used to tell me I'm not country, and now I'm the country thing. People used to tell all, I have to tell it a hundred times. Garth Brooks is like, they told me I wasn't country. I'm not saying a little Knows-X as Garth Brooks, but what I'm saying is, who cares? Let the guy be country.
Starting point is 01:25:39 He wears a cowboy hat. He sings about country. Ugh, so annoying. It's such a jam, too. And the fact that people keep telling this guy what he's not just makes me want to play him more. Oh. Because people told me what I wasn't forever. and they took it off the billboard chart
Starting point is 01:25:58 They were like, eh, doesn't have the sounds Every instrument using this song Used on country songs now Just different things are turned up That's all, so hypocritical Yeah, I'm gonna take my horse To the old town road I'm gonna ride till I can't no more
Starting point is 01:26:19 I'm gonna take my horse to the old town road I'm gonna ride Till I can't no more I got the horses in the back Or stock is attached And it's maddy black Got the boost They tell me
Starting point is 01:27:17 That's all jam Yeah Really listening to lyrics And I'm like That's so country Lyrically it's so traditionally country Lyrically It's so traditionally country
Starting point is 01:27:37 Yeah If Luke Brian was thinking About his cowboy hat From Gucci Everybody would like So country Yeah Look at Luke
Starting point is 01:27:43 So and then I get Then everybody's like Do an interview About Lil Nauzex And I'm like I'll just say it on my show You know I'm to the point
Starting point is 01:27:52 Now I just I didn't do no interviews He mentioned horse and tractor. I get it. And he's in the Cowboy hat. There's a picture, I think it's on his Instagram, where he's up. It's a picture of the trailer he lived in growing up, and he drove his Lamborghini up next to it. It's awesome.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Love it. It's amazing. Yeah. It's amazing. Is he as a Lamborghini? Yeah, you should look on his Instagram. Okay. I'll go take it out.
Starting point is 01:28:14 Let's just, to all my listeners right now, and you know I care about you because I think you're me and I'm you. Let's just not get into, on this case or any other case, assigning people with who they are, because you don't want to be assigned. You know what somebody to tell you who you are. Can nobody tell me nothing? Can anybody tell me nothing? I had an artist reached out to me over the weekend.
Starting point is 01:28:40 A big artist, I'd say Grammy-nominated artist. Text me. He was like, hey, you should get a little nods on the ACMs. And I was like, what? They were like, get them to come up playing. I'm like, I can just pull strings. That's a major pool. The ACS won't let me on the show.
Starting point is 01:28:55 They block me from the show. They're not going to let little gnaz on the show. But it's funny that people just think I can make that happen. Like, go ahead and get a little nod to slot on prime time. Stop it. What are you laughing at? This is the person I've been to his Instagram page. What do you think?
Starting point is 01:29:12 Is that Lambo rented or is it his, Amy? I don't know. I haven't got, I don't see the Lambo one yet. I don't know. I'm like too distracted by all the other things. And then his cover shot right now is the Cowboy, but with a sad face, probably because people are telling him he's not, he's not, yeah, it's not country. Listen, you could go way back like 60 years when they brought the electric guitar into country music.
Starting point is 01:29:32 Oh, yeah. And country music historians were like, this is not country. We don't do electric guitar. Just, let's relax. Yeah. Let's just tell him nothing. Don't tell him nothing, yeah. Because can nobody tell him nothing.
Starting point is 01:29:43 Stop. What's even a genre? You know? Right. Who cares? Anyway, I saw that. That happened. just kind of get through.
Starting point is 01:29:54 You know who I was, well, Michael Strand called me Bobby Jones on Good Morning America. No, I didn't see that. He did. And I love that guy. And I feel like we kind of know each other now. And he stopped and was like, oh, sorry. I don't know what the deal is.
Starting point is 01:30:06 Yeah, what is it? He was like, author, bed to bed comedian. Bobby Jones, oh, bones. And I was like, should I make a joke about it? I didn't. I just let it go. I just went on. I want to make it awkward.
Starting point is 01:30:18 Yeah, and they gave you like slippers. Bobby's like a regular there. I was like, oh my gosh, he's going to start, like, filling in for Michael if he's sick, and he can start doing that. Like, I literally had all these visions in my head of things that are to come, but I don't know if they're real. They're probably not. But they gave me a lot of time. I felt it. They put me up for like five minutes.
Starting point is 01:30:35 I know. It's a long time on the show. And you dance, too. What is that the jive? Well, what was that? Yeah. It's a jive step. And then you open your mouth and I was like, close it, close it.
Starting point is 01:30:44 I can't close my mouth. We love that on the show. You went back to his old days. I can't close it. But here's the thing. Can't nobody tell me nothing. All right. I got the horses in the bag.
Starting point is 01:30:54 I'm just so motivated now to play this song every hour and chart it. Just to irritate everyone for no other reason. I mean that it's good. It is a good. Like if that came on, like this is like... If you turn the bass down, you'll be like, oh, it's like a Sam Hunter Thomas Rett song. Just turn the base down a little bit. It's a tad bit.
Starting point is 01:31:19 It'd be like, oh, it's another Sam Hunt, Thomas Rett, Dustin Lynch song. Like I'd roll my windows down. And be like, I'm feeling this. And if somebody tried to tell you something, you would say what? Can't nobody tell me nothing. That's right. Two of our interns, Cody and Sarah, they used to work here as interns, and they got married. And it was crazy because I set them up myself.
Starting point is 01:31:43 The whole thing came full circle. I remember sitting at dinner with his name was Random Kid Cody. He couldn't go into public without vomiting because he would get so anxious. Yeah. So he had to speak at school and they stood up and he vomited. Well, that's why he quit college, because they were like, hey, Cody, stand up, say something about yourself, and he's like, how my name's, blah. And then he never went back to school. So then he drove out here and was like, I want to intern for the show.
Starting point is 01:32:06 And I was like, all right. And so he interns for us. And we would go, like, have dinner at Chick-fil-A. And I was like, Cody, come with us. He was like, I can't. I'll vomit. I'm too nervous. And so I said, okay, well, let's me and you just go.
Starting point is 01:32:20 We went to some tiny restaurant. Nobody else in there. And like, four o'clock. And I was like, man, what can we do to make you better? And he was like, well, I like this girl. And I was like, yeah? He goes, she's another intern named Sarah. I said, no problem, man.
Starting point is 01:32:33 Come up and I'll make you guys like slow dance in the studio. And that's how he talks, by the way. Yeah. Just the way Bobby's doing it. And so I got him and Sarah together, made him slow dance in the studio. If you guys... Here's a clip of this, ready? If you guys don't feel anything after this, then we'll never do it again.
Starting point is 01:32:49 Okay, so it's your love. One of the most romantic songs ever. And I want you two to slow dance to it. There you go. So here's intern Sarah and intern Cody. Let's see if they have a spark here. All right, you too. Cody, this is your chance to go.
Starting point is 01:33:05 Embrace her, Cody. Embrace her, Cody. Just put your arms out like. There you go. Dance, sway. There you go. Good. Look at each other in the face.
Starting point is 01:33:17 What's it? No, look at each other. So this is us making them dance. And then is this after their first date? Here's audio. What is it? During their first date? We...
Starting point is 01:33:28 Let me ask them. Okay, here we go. This is him asking her on the first date. You think you and Cody could maybe go out or not? How about a lunch date? Today. I'll pay for it.
Starting point is 01:33:36 You and Cody. Wow, today already, that's fast. Yes or no? Well, I'm not going to go on a date with someone who doesn't want to go on a date with that. What an idiot? You're such an idiot.
Starting point is 01:33:48 Cody? She just said, oh yeah. Exactly, Sarah. Good point. Come here. No. She's obviously...
Starting point is 01:33:54 Okay. Just do it. Ask for on a date. Ask for on a date. Sarah. Ask her on a date. Sorry. If Bobby pays for...
Starting point is 01:34:00 No, no. Just ask for the date. Sarah, do you want to go to lunch? Sure. Yeah. And they got married this week. Yeah. That's pretty crazy.
Starting point is 01:34:10 It was awesome. It was awesome. It was crazy. It was crazy. They got up and first, let me say this. Eddie was late. It was 4 o'clock when the wedding's supposed to start. Eddie still had to walk in.
Starting point is 01:34:23 Technically, though. It was on my answer to her. Because I beat the bride. He walked in right before the bride. Like doors were closed, Amy, and me and my wife opened them to sit down. Oh, and they thought the bride was coming. The whole church turned around. Oh, that's awkward.
Starting point is 01:34:38 But I made it. We did make it. Other notes from the wedding. Your date, duh. I mean, are you stalling or you really couldn't remember? Well, here's the thing, right? Yes, I didn't have, Amy did not show up, and she had an empty seat at the table, and lunchbox talked about you.
Starting point is 01:34:56 Wait, no, no, I told her, I never said I was coming. I texted with Sarah. It was there. It was there. Oh, that's awkward. Seating chart, empty seat. We got your drinks. Salad served.
Starting point is 01:35:07 Oh, y'all fend me? Okay, thank you. Oh, my gosh. Okay, I'll text her. Lunchbox said you owe them money. Yeah. I will glad, like, I mean, I'm getting them a gift. But Lunchbox, I never RSVP'd, yes, I don't owe them money.
Starting point is 01:35:18 Oh, you did? No, I didn't. Well, that's why I felt like I wanted to take a date because I had RSVPed. And they were like, oh, we have a spot already at the table. So I had a minute to take And the girl who I went with Messaged me and was like hey I'll go
Starting point is 01:35:31 And I was like oh I know her from my gym And she was like I'm a great date And I was like oh Wow who's no she says I'm a great plus one I didn't know what that meant But I found out what it meant She was the best plus one
Starting point is 01:35:42 She like didn't have to be babysat Was talking to people You know I have a job too That's pretty cool And people be like hey listen to the show And I would talk to them about the show Or like they want to know By Dancing with Stars
Starting point is 01:35:52 Or American Idol And so I'd get drug away and she would just go and talk to people. It was great. It was a great date. And we had talked about it on the show so much that I put her on Instagram and it was like, here, I tagged her just so, because I felt like I owed it to the listeners because we talked about it so much. Yeah. I was kind of surprised when you put her out there. So was Morgan number two.
Starting point is 01:36:13 Without an emoji over her face or something. I know. Well, because we talked about it on the show. And so, but yeah, it was a great. She was a great date. So? Are you going to go on a date again? You know, I haven't really talked to her since then.
Starting point is 01:36:27 What? That was Friday. Really? It's Monday. I know, it's Monday. Wait, y'all haven't talked since then? I mean, I guess it technically wasn't like a real date. It's not like you met her and then asked her out.
Starting point is 01:36:35 It was kind of like, I need a date. And she was like, I'm a good plus one. Yeah. I get it. It was the first person ever slide into my direct messages and be like, hey, I'll go. And I go on a date. And I was like, all right. But all the guys met her.
Starting point is 01:36:46 We did. Yep. Yeah. She was very nice. Very pretty. Yep. Those pictures, they weren't false advertising. What do you mean?
Starting point is 01:36:53 Like, we were talking about how hot she was in the pictures and she showed up at the wedding. She was just as hot because some people online, they put pictures up and they make themselves look good. And you see them in person. You're like, eh. Not her, though. No, she was like, full steam ahead. You don't hit the brakes. She was hot and they definitely danced.
Starting point is 01:37:13 There was no space between them on some of the dances. Oh, really? It's not junior high. I just saying. Well, like what were you all dancing to? Like we're all grinding? No. Slow dance.
Starting point is 01:37:23 Slow dancing. When the slow song comes on, you slow dance. Okay, okay. Like the ghost song. What's that song from Ghost? You know, no. No, no, no, that's the top gun. You know the.
Starting point is 01:37:35 I know. Where they're making pottery to it. My darling. Hunger for your touch. I mean, Bobby and his dick were the first ones out. They're like, we're doing this. Well, I messaged her. I say, hey, do you dance?
Starting point is 01:37:47 Because I do. She was like, I'll be a great plus one. Like, do dance? She goes, something like, not that good, but I'll try. And so when the song came on, I was like, here, it's like junior high. Start with a slow one. Yeah. Get loose.
Starting point is 01:37:58 Unchained melody. That's it. Anyway, it's up on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones. There's a picture of me dancing with an older lady. Oh, but that second swipe. It's, that, but it was good. The wedding was good. Good, I'm glad.
Starting point is 01:38:10 I mean, it worked out for you. That's super cool. Fantastic. Didn't waste food. I feel like that would be a fun story. Like, if y'all end up having kids, I know I'm jumping the gun here, but. Oh, you did a little bit? The gun couldn't be jumped any harder. This is just a what-if that ran through my mind of like, you know, well, so mom, dad, how'd y'all meet?
Starting point is 01:38:26 Oh, well, dad didn't have a date to a wedding and I was a good plus one. I slid into his DMs. What's a DM? Now we're just laser. Like hologram. She didn't catch the bouquet though. Yeah, she didn't. Oh, she ran from it.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Oh, see, she's a good plus one. Well, I was like, go try to catch it being funny. But her and Bay, Ray's girlfriend, like, hung out the whole time. She liked her, huh? Yeah, the best friends. All right. Anyway, why don't have notes here? Well, I mean, now that y'all haven't talked, I know you didn't kiss.
Starting point is 01:39:00 If you kissed her, you would have talked to her. Did you all? No, if he kissed her, then he should have called her by now. It's Monday. If you kiss her and y'all haven't talked, I'm disappointed in you. Bones, please say you didn't kiss. Yeah, please tell me you kissed her because, look, I was waiting the whole wedding for the kiss. Like I was watching
Starting point is 01:39:19 On the dance floor Bobby did that way back in the day Remember like I don't know I was like 25 I know Well then it would be less than 15 years What you do? I don't know
Starting point is 01:39:28 Just out and like randomly He's dancing with his girl And he's like I don't know It just felt it I think I got a shrug throat from that too He's like he's like I just decided to go for it And then it was yeah But if it happened
Starting point is 01:39:40 It happened outside the wedding venue Oh because lunchbox was stalking you Okay So you didn't Did you If you did, then you need to call her right now. What do you think? Amy.
Starting point is 01:39:53 I mean, my guess I thought maybe y'all did, but I'm going to say now you didn't because there's no way you would kiss her and then not call her. Lunchbox? Usually you don't have guts and you don't make moves. You're kind of a sissy when it comes to the ladies. But the way you guys were dancing to the romantic songs and she was looking in that dress, I think you went for the smooch later that night. One to one, Eddie.
Starting point is 01:40:13 For sure, 100% you kissed her. I know you and I believe in you. All right. Yes. All right. Tell me you did. I did not. Okay.
Starting point is 01:40:23 See, thank you. Oh, my. But you wanted to? We had a good time. What does that mean? It means. So what did you do? My question is, what did you do after the wedding?
Starting point is 01:40:34 I take her home. What? What? Friday night? Friday night and you dropped her off at like 9.45? Yes. I was tired. I'd been in New York for like three days, working hard.
Starting point is 01:40:43 Yeah, but you know what makes you feel better? A haughty on your arm. That wakes you up. Does it? That's like caffeine in your soul. Does it in your... All right, thank you. You dropped her off.
Starting point is 01:40:54 Disgusting. If you guys want to hop on, you can't. 87777-Bobby. That's the phone number. 877-7-7-B-O-B-WI. Wedding was good. Cody and Sarah got married. It was excellent wedding.
Starting point is 01:41:05 Missed you, Amy. Ramundo, Eddie the video producer Lunchbox, we were all there. Myself. It was good. Lunchbox's wife took the microphone and sang songs. She was a lot of fun.
Starting point is 01:41:16 She was a lot of fun. She was a hit of the party. She was the hit of the party. What songs is she sing? Like for real or like karaoke? No, like with the DJ. Can she sing? Well, she was just singing loud.
Starting point is 01:41:25 Oh, that's awesome. She used to want to be a singer. Didn't we all? Yes. At one point. All right. All that. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University,

A baby and then another kid, huh?
Starting point is 01:45:12 Yeah. Hey, Kim in Florida, what's happening? Hey, not much. I just is calling in because I think it's amazing that as a show, you guys bring so many things to light that people don't even, you know, really have a clue about that they're the need for. And I about a year ago fostered, I guess you could say, fostering my granddaughter because there was a situation. And in that process, I learned that there is such a shortage, not even just here what we are, but neither should lie. And it chokes me up even talking about it because there's kids that, you know, they have no place to go. They have no family members that can take them.
Starting point is 01:45:53 And, you know, I just think it's great because there is definitely not much awareness brought to people. But there is such a need for families to give these kids a loving, safe homes, you know, while their parents are getting their lives together and trying to, you know, do the right thing to be able to get their kids back in crime. provide a safe environment for them. Yeah. Well, good on you as well. Yeah, good for you. Listen, when Eddie told me, and it's been a bit, I was like, wow, look at that.
Starting point is 01:46:25 Then he's, I hope I'm out of the place saying this. And every time I see Eddie, he's like, man, it's awesome. He's like getting happier. At first, he was way overwhelmed. Oh, I mean, so overwhelmed. Instantly adding two kids to my family is like, whoa. And now, I was talking to Eddie and his wife at that wedding. And they were like, yeah, that's awesome.
Starting point is 01:46:46 That's cool. She's so right, though. Was that your first date night since becoming parents of four? No, no, no, no. No, we're really trying to be serious about date night once a week. Like, like. Oh, good. Courtney in Indiana, how are you?
Starting point is 01:46:58 Good, how are you guys? Real good. What's going on? Good. So, I actually met my husband by he, I was waiting on him at the restaurant. I worked out at the time, and he invited me to his best friend's wedding. And he actually chippened out right before the wedding. invited me.
Starting point is 01:47:18 But we've been married for a year now, and we just had our first baby. Have been to about a thousand weddings since then. So, hey, there's hope. You might end up marrying that girl. See? Everybody is in such a rush to marry me off with any girl we talk about that. 2019. I know. But I'm just saying, that, too, let me say this.
Starting point is 01:47:38 Anytime you hear someone call in and the phone goes, it's not their fault. It's our phone's fault. You would think at this stage in our career, we can. have phones at work. We don't have phones at work. We have old equipment. I'm using the same little push-button board that Jerry House, who was a legend in country music used to.
Starting point is 01:47:57 And you know what? And God love this board for it's done a lot of great country radio. It's vintage now. You know, it vintage ain't cool in electronics. It's so frustrating. It's so frustrating. Nothing works around here. But yeah, thank you for that call. Keep calling. We'll talk to you.
Starting point is 01:48:15 We'll just put you on the. whole time. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. I got this for you. As Adrian Salgado was starting work, he's a gardener in Santa Ana, California. Somebody jumped and stole his truck, and they didn't just run off with his truck.
Starting point is 01:48:37 If you do maintenance, everything's on your truck. And so he had his phone, his landscaping equipment. He had about a thousand bucks cash for rent that he'd been saving for months. So the Santa Ana Police Department tracked down the truck and the thieves They arrested the suspect But they'd already gotten rid of all the tools
Starting point is 01:48:54 Because that's what you do You sell everything you do as you can And so the officers Raised the money and bought him A lawnmower and edger hand tools Leafblower to replace the stolen ones The officers did They raised of their own money
Starting point is 01:49:08 It's not like they have tons of money Right Of their own money Should probably make more than they do Shout out the Santa Ana Police Department That's just above and beyond I love that.
Starting point is 01:49:18 That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and my Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me know. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right. I'm so hesitant to read news stories today because it's April Fools and I just don't know to trust anything. Because everybody's messing with us.
Starting point is 01:49:40 Like I saw these two stories and I'm going to read them just because I think they probably can be real. They're both like dating app stories. This first one. one is, is Tinder rolling out a height verification feature? Because apparently people lie all the time on dating, ask how tall they are. Mostly guys? Yeah, I think that would be mostly a guy thing. But they announced on Friday a height verification feature. So you have to submit a picture next to a commercial building and they can verify your height. Oh my goodness. That can't be real. But I guess. They said it Friday though, is the thing. And then also, this man claims that they should have a
Starting point is 01:50:20 weight verification for women. Okay, rude. Well, hold on. Same thing. If you're going to have a height verification for men. I didn't say that it was cool. But you didn't say rude of the first one? You sure didn't.
Starting point is 01:50:30 Because weight height is different. I think if you're going to do this, you just have everybody's height and weight fully checked. Like if you're going to do it, you got to do it all. And well, here's the thing. You can't do anything about height. Weight, you can. Yeah, it doesn't matter. You shouldn't be lying anyway.
Starting point is 01:50:44 What about water retention? Oh, boy. You didn't think about that, Amy. So here, I have this game here. Amy. We'll see how many you can get here. We're going to play fact or fools. I'll give you a headline of a new story.
Starting point is 01:50:56 You tell me if it's a real new story or not. Okay. Ready. A beach hires golden retriever as lifeguard. Is that a fact or fool? A beach hires a golden retriever as a lifeguard. The county of Los Angeles fire department has hired a golden retriever named Frodo as a lifeguard. Frodo has been trained to swim.
Starting point is 01:51:20 to the victim, who then grabs a handle on top of the dog's life jacket and is towed to safety. Is that real or not, Amy? I mean, I just wanted to be real so bad, so I'm going to say, fact. She says fact. Is it fact? No. Oh, that's too bad. That's a really cute story. All right, ready? Uh-huh.
Starting point is 01:51:38 Fact or full? A court says a man can use hovercraft to hunt moose. The National Park Service banned an Alaska moose hunter, John Sturgeon, from using his hovercraft last year, but the Supreme Court has now ruled that they shouldn't have done that. The court limited their ability to enforce laws and regulations
Starting point is 01:51:57 on state-owned rivers in Alaska, so they say the man can use his hovercraft to hunt moose. Fact or fool. I'm trying to think, because I remember it isn't legal to hunt from a helicopter, right? Didn't she get in trouble for that?
Starting point is 01:52:13 I don't know if she got in trouble, I think people said, hey, you shouldn't do that. Which I agree. It's not fair. Yeah, I agree, too. If you should give them guns. I mean, a hovercraft gives you a similar thing as being in a helicopter, so I'm going to say... What am I say? Fact or fake?
Starting point is 01:52:28 No, fact or fool. Yeah, thank you. Fool. Fool, she says. No, I'm sorry. It's real. Oh, the Supreme Court said he could do that? Mm-hmm.
Starting point is 01:52:36 Yeah, yeah. We got too many names here, fact and fool and fake and... I stayed with it. Real and not. I stayed with it. You get it. Okay. Let's do this one.
Starting point is 01:52:44 A teacher is suspended after losing voice yelling at students. Factor full. A high school in West Virginia received several complaints from parents after students reported their teacher went on a tirade that lasts an entire class period. She yelled to the students after no one seemed to have done the test review. She was suspended after she came into class on Friday and had lost her voice as a result of yelling at her students. Backed. Oh. I don't get any right.
Starting point is 01:53:09 Zero for three. Oh, okay. We can do one more. So somebody just made up all these stories? Except for the Supreme Court. Okay, here you go. Ready? A mom hand-feed's son who's too busy with non-stop gaming.
Starting point is 01:53:27 Is this real or not? Instead of being irritated by her son's gaming addiction, a mother has seemingly accepted it and opts to continue taking care of him. The mother shared a Facebook video feeding her 14-year-old as he plays video games because he will not put the game controller down to eat himself. Please tell me that's fool. Full. Fact or full?
Starting point is 01:53:48 Because she's a fool if it's fact. What do you say? I say fool. She says full, show me full. No, it's real. That is real? It's a fact. It's a fact, yes.
Starting point is 01:53:56 There you have it. Amy, you went over at all. You got none right. Good job, Amy. Don't believe any news today because you are not. Basically. Don't read any news at all. There you are.
Starting point is 01:54:06 Last night, American Idol was a long one. It was three hours. They had to cram in all 40 of the contestants. It was a really good episode. This Alejandro did Coldplay, yellow. And the beach is packed with people and they're loud. I'm telling you. They just shut down when he was.
Starting point is 01:54:21 singing the song. And he's playing guitar for his like finger the whole time. Crazy good. So this kid is, this guy is so good. And then a kid, it's factory workers. Like, I guess I'll do music. It's awkward. That's what we're talking about on the show last.
Starting point is 01:54:57 And I was like, man, you're like me. Like, I just now found myself. And like, I know who I am and I'm happy with it. and was like, I think you're just not finding yourself. And so, yeah, it's still good. This is me talking to Wade Coda last night. The odds are against me. They're not, though.
Starting point is 01:55:11 These people are classically trained. I never took a lesson. That's okay. There's a beauty to not knowing the rules because then you don't play by them. And so he's like, I don't know how to sing like them. I was like, great. A lot of the greats didn't know the space they were supposed to be confined in. Because they didn't know, they weren't.
Starting point is 01:55:27 And they were able to create outside of it. And so, that was good. talk to him a little bit, give him a low inspiration. It was a good, it was a good show last night. It was a little long, but it was good.
Starting point is 01:55:36 It'll be tonight, too, hope you check it out tonight. This one girl, Emma Kleinberg, she did not make it. And I remember Amy, she, I want you going to make it. I told Luke afterward,
Starting point is 01:55:44 I was like, I can't believe you're going to put Emma through. And they legitimately just watched the performances and put them through. Like, nothing. The producers aren't saying much to them,
Starting point is 01:55:51 if anything, and she didn't make it through and I went up to her and I was like, you're going to play with the raging idiots and you're going to sing and be on the front because you're that good. And so...
Starting point is 01:56:00 This is her last night on Idol. Every day and every day and every night. And they told her they were like, hey, you're... You just don't have the performance. I've actually always wanted to come here. I would just love to play a concert on a beach someday and just like sing my soul off. And at the showcase in Hawaii,
Starting point is 01:56:20 her dream became a reality. Is this love? Is this love? Is this love? Is this love? Is this love? that I'm feeling. While I was performing.
Starting point is 01:56:32 And I was like, she's so good. And so I mean, immediately I went to her and said, hey, and then I got it cleared through legal. So as of today, that she's off idle, she's going to be part of the raging idiots for a while. That's amazing. Yeah, she lives in Nashville. And I was like, so cool. Perfect.
Starting point is 01:56:44 Like next week we're in Bakersville playing, she's going to be with us. And so I was like, all right. And so Amy said she went to her Instagram and was like stalking her last night. Yeah. I just like went through her Instagram was scrolling all the way down, started following her. She seems cool. You followed her? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:56:57 Like are you? Well, and then I realized, you know how. you follow someone, or you go to their page and it says follow back. And I was like, oh, she's following me? Hey girl. So then I followed her. She seems awesome. This is from her Instagram. Her name is Emma Kleinberg. So anyway, I hope she, you know,
Starting point is 01:57:19 she's going to come out and start playing with us next weekend, which would be good. So I'm kind of happy I could do that. Yeah. But tonight, it's on again, 8-7 Central. American Idol. It's like solos. And next week is when I host a show and Ryan got sick. Oh, is that next week? It's next Monday night.
Starting point is 01:57:34 Okay. So the eight. Do you do all the voiceovers that run out? No, I think, yeah, the eighth. Yeah. No, no, because it's not a, it's a, well, it's taped live, a theater show. Oh, I got you. It's not like last night where they do all the cuts.
Starting point is 01:57:46 Got it. It's like, we're in a theater and it's duets, celebrity duets. That's exciting. Yeah, we'll see how it goes. I'm going to see in the edit. Never know. How'd you feel when you did it though? Oh, it was amazing.
Starting point is 01:57:56 It was like. What I'm talking about? Yeah, it's amazing. And Ryan's the best. And so I'm going to find me a show. Go do my thing, too, one day. Yeah. What did Lionel Richie say to you when that happened?
Starting point is 01:58:08 Have I told the story on the year? Oh, I don't know. Have you? Oh, you have to. You have to tell that story. It's so cool. I thought you did, but maybe you didn't. I'm going to hold that one for a minute.
Starting point is 01:58:17 Are you? I'll hold that one next week. Remind me after the show next week, after that show airs. Okay. If you're new to this show, let me explain something to you. I was born in the town of 700 people in Mountain Pine, Arkansas. I come from crap. Grew up poor.
Starting point is 01:58:31 I don't know anybody. And the fact that I get to say Lionel Richie pulled me aside and gave me a is the craziest thing to say out loud. And it was like, hey, what's your friend line will tell you? Like, it's such a weird spot for me to be in because if you're new, you're like, oh, this guy Bobby's all connected. Like, I guess, but it wasn't through anything other than just like, I don't even know, slamming it.

This guy says that one of these services that bring food on his doorbell cam, the guy was bringing the food up, and he saw him drink out of that milkshake. No. No, no, no, no. Isn't that so funny? A doorbell camera captured a delivery driver taking a sip of the milkshake he's delivering to the house. I'm just a I'm just sure, if there's any open food, like french fries or anything that you can easily reach and grab, that they're having one or two.
Starting point is 02:03:10 Yeah, but sip it. I know. Taking a fry and you only touch that fry and you don't touch anything else, but you sip out of my straw. Is that some weird thing they're into or they're just thirsty? They probably just want some milkshakes. No, I bet they're like, this is why they got into it. They're into, like, sipping other people's stuff. They're probably just driving and they want some milkshake.
Starting point is 02:03:27 No, right when you get to the door? Last time to get a drink. It's like a thrill. And it's like two-thirds. Like, I don't know, man. I was upset too. Sometimes when something's missing, like a side or one thing, do you ever have stuff that's missing?
Starting point is 02:03:40 And I always think it's the restaurant's fault, but now I'm starting to think, what if they just take it and you're like, oh, well, I'm going to drop it off because I don't check it before the person leaves. It's normally like they take it from the door, they go to their car, then I get it out, and then you realize something missing and they're long gone. Full, a full belly. This guy's, I mean, straight drinking the milk show. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 02:04:00 No shame. Do you see them? Yes. Yeah, hardcore. Oh, wow. Someone knocked on my door yesterday at like 4 p.m. Nobody comes to my house at 4 p.m. on a Sunday. And somebody, I get at my door, and I'm like, huh?
Starting point is 02:04:11 So I walk over to the door, and I open it, and this guy's got a pizza in his hand. And he's like, are you Margaret? Yes, I am. I was like, huh? He's like, this is a pizza. Are you Margaret? Obviously, I wasn't. And I was like, is that pepperoni?
Starting point is 02:04:29 And he was like, it is not. It goes, well, I'm not Margaret. He goes, oh, man. He goes, is there another road name like you're somewhere else in town? And I was like, yeah, and it's on the other side of town. What? Yeah, and it was like, oh, man. So Margaret, eating your pizza in time.
Starting point is 02:04:42 No way. I know. Remember when all those pizzas were getting delivered to my house and had to move? Wait. Is that why you moved? One of the reasons, yes. Somebody kept sending pizzas to Amy's house. Like, for like three weeks in a row.
Starting point is 02:04:55 That's just mean. And from different places, different phone numbers, but always my name. It was a pizza for me that I had not ordered. I forgot about that. Yeah. What a funny joke. And it wasn't lunchbox because we thought it was for a while. It happened to me twice.
Starting point is 02:05:08 No, y'all all confessed like it wasn't you once it got real. And I was like, I think I'm going to move because I mean, I had letters. We had to come clean this. Like, not just the pizzas, but my mailbox was at the front of my house and I had a white picket fence. Like, you had to walk through the gate to get, but I had cards and letters like dropped in there. So people were learning where I lived. It just felt weird. And my husband travels a lot.
Starting point is 02:05:27 So he's like, we're moving. We're moving. This is getting weird. Yeah. Pizza. Pizza was the nail in the coffin. The three weeks of pizzas. How many jokes, though?
Starting point is 02:05:38 Maybe four in three weeks. That's funny. Yeah. So that happened yesterday. I went paintballing yesterday. I'm shot up. I haven't played paintball since I was like a teenager. And a friend messed to me and was like, hey, let's go paintballing.
Starting point is 02:05:49 Like on Saturday. And I was like, all right, cool. And we're both in town. We both travel a lot. And we go and we play paintball. I can't be rolling around on the ground like that, though. Because you run and dive and it's not, the ground's not soft. No.
Starting point is 02:05:59 It's real ground. And you're rolling around. I had a lot of fun, but today I've got like welt marks on my neck and my butt. I've never done. Is that hurt when you get shot? It just depends what part of the body, but like neck and hands and stuff too. But did that yesterday. I had a pretty good weekend though.
Starting point is 02:06:14 Yeah. Paintballing. On my Instagram, there's a picture of me in these boots, these long red boots. Did you see the picture? I did. Watchbox, you see the picture? No. You shouldn't because you're going to give me so much garbage for this.
Starting point is 02:06:27 You look very comfortable. It's on Instagram. I went to this play called Kinky Boots. when I was in New York. It was a Broadway play. What in the world? And so it was a Broadway play and I have a friend who's in it.
Starting point is 02:06:38 And I was like, hey. And so afterwards she was like, hey, come. And it's about a guy who makes shoes in his shoe stores going out and instead he starts to make these boots. These are his boots that he puts on in the play.
Starting point is 02:06:50 And she was like, do you want to wear the boots? And I was like, I do. Oh my gosh. And I took a picture of the boots that he wears on the play and put him on my Instagram and people were flipping out. You should never put those on
Starting point is 02:07:00 unless you're in the, no. There's a thousand comments on this thing. People need to relax. What do they say? Cute boots. No, not really. No, your man card. Hand it over.
Starting point is 02:07:10 I agree. What did I say to that? I said, I never had a man card. But, yeah, it says a lot of people were just giving me a hard time. But yeah, that happened on Instagram. But that's cool. You got, I mean, you get to wear the kinky boots. You got to wear the famous kinky boots.
Starting point is 02:07:24 Of course. I thought it was the coolest thing ever. I put it on Instagram. This is not going to get you a girl. I'm seeing all the comments and they're right. Unless you're eating. in the play, like just putting those on? The boots are a big part of the play, and it was cool I got to put them on.
Starting point is 02:07:37 Put them on your dating profile. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Exactly. Profile pick. See how that works. Wow. Good idea, Eddie. Thank you.
Starting point is 02:07:46 No, I'm not going to do that. But it's up there if you want to see it on my Instagram, Mr. Bobby Bones. It's a great show. It's a great show. It was cool knowing somebody in the show, too. I've never had that happen before because she was like coming to the show, and I was like, all right, cool. And then, like, you wonder if that's what people feel like when they're, like, Al Dean's
Starting point is 02:08:01 wife when she's watching them on stage the first time. Or like your cousins up there. You're like, that's crazy. Yeah. I mean, you must be pretty close to this person if they let you wear their boots afterwards. Well, that's the dude's boots. Excuse me?
Starting point is 02:08:14 I just told you, he's the one. It's his boots. Yes. It was a girl who I went with and she was in the play. Oh, okay. But he wears the boots in the show because he makes shoes and has to end up making the boots. Sorry, I was confused.
Starting point is 02:08:27 I was thrown off by, I was just looking at them and reading the comments and I miss that they were dude boots, but... Well, they fit. I wear a size 11. Yeah. Whew. Kendall Jenner made $26 million from Instagram last year. That's a lot. Just from Instagram, huh? Yeah, I believe so. The labels and smaller
Starting point is 02:08:45 companies pay Kindle 26.5 million bucks. 53 times uploaded a photo in Adidas, Estee Lauder, and Calvin Klein. On average, they paid her half a million per post to reach her 107 million Kindle influences.
Starting point is 02:09:00 Wow. Are that crazy? Listen, I understand it. At this point, you're just trying to reach people. It doesn't matter how. So you buy a Super Bowl commercial and you reach that many people or you buy Kendall General's Instagram. You're still reaching that many people.
Starting point is 02:09:13 Right. That number is nutty. How many followers does she have? $10.7. Wow. I mean, I get to that life. You need to get to that life. I mean, that's like so far.
Starting point is 02:09:23 Yeah, I think she's like her and Selena Gomez and. Well, Kylie. Kendall's not. Oh, I don't know the difference in them. Yeah. They're not the same one? No. Kindle's like the runway model.
Starting point is 02:09:32 Kylie's like got the lip kit and the baby named Stormy. And who's the dad again? The rapper. Travis Scott. Yeah. No, no, no, no. Their dad. Oh.
Starting point is 02:09:42 Jenner, Bruce. But no, Caitlin. Caitlin. Got it. Caitlin Jenner? Yeah. That's the last name, right? There you have it.
Starting point is 02:09:49 I didn't know if the last name changed too. All right. I'm trying to get it straight. I don't know you got to talking about at the point. All right. Thank you. What do you have over there? Well, if you leave your kids.
Starting point is 02:10:01 keys in the car, people are going after you. Well, yeah. Listen. They're going after your car. They're going to take it. Well, what's happening is, even aside from stealing cars, people are just checking door handles, and if the doors are unlocked, they still what's in the car. And people are like, I got my car, got vandalized. Lock your door. You shouldn't have to in the perfect world, but we don't live in the perfect world. Lock your door. Do you leave your house unlocked when you go to bed? No. Of course not. I lock it. Well, growing up, we did, because small town, nobody cared, but you don't do that anymore. Yeah. And the people that are leaving their fobs or their keys or
Starting point is 02:10:29 whatever inside their car, it's like they say this report says it's like a lot higher because people don't want to admit it. Like when their car gets stolen or something happens, they don't want to tell their insurance company, oh, it's because I left it in. So the report is probably, or the numbers are way higher than what's being reported. I don't know. That's kind of embarrassing. Don't leave your keys in the car. Yeah, I know. Well, because mine's a like a fob thing or whatever, and so I have it my cup holder, so I don't need it to actually start the ignition. Keep in your pocket. Well, normally I have it in my bag, but, But I did have it in my cup holder, and then I dig it out of the, I was one of those people,
Starting point is 02:11:03 but luckily nothing happened and get stolen. I think on Friday show, you were talking about this woman who came up to your house and was like, hey, I saw your house on a reality show. And you were like, what are you talking about? You thought she was casing your house possible. Yes, she said, I just was so curious. I had to know if all the furniture is still the same. What does it look like?
Starting point is 02:11:20 Because I watched the whole renovation. And by the way, for those who haven't been to Amy's house, and I would say it's most of you who are listening right now, Amy's, it's a normal house. It's a lovely house, but it's not like a crazy house that you would see on one of these shows. She must have been a super fan to just randomly be driving around because I don't think she lived in Nashville. But it's not like, because I know when this, well, I confer, I didn't know my house was on a reality show. Well, that's the point of this whole thing is that we found out it's on a reality show. Oh, so she wasn't trying to.
Starting point is 02:11:50 Right. Well, we thought, because then Lunchbox was like, oh, well, she was trying to see the inside of your house to case it. Yep. And, you know, check out what she could steal. And I thought, oh my goodness. Well, then I texted my realtor and she sent me a link. And my house, sure enough, was on some flip show, like in Canada or something. Post it.
Starting point is 02:12:07 I want to see that? In Canada. No, no. I'm not posting it, obviously. But, oh, am I giving too many details already? A Canadian show, huh? So, anyway, she, I guess, I don't know if she's visiting and she's driving around. And she said she literally just was like, stop the car.
Starting point is 02:12:22 I know that house. And so she must have been a super fan of the show. And she really did. I told y'all, I think she wanted me to invite her in so she could see it. But I mean, I wasn't going to because I didn't know what she was talking about. Did she have a Canadian accent? I don't think so. She was wrapped in the Canadian flag.
Starting point is 02:12:37 Anyway, kind of crazy. Amy showed me the link. She was like, I cannot believe it. My house was on a reality show. Shouldn't they disclose that to you when you buy the house? Let's like someone dying in the house. You need to know these things that could come back and be a shock to you later on. Yeah. Ah, I found the reality show.
Starting point is 02:12:54 No, don't talk. I won't say what it is, but let's just say that it wasn't on in Canada. Let's just say it was MTV Cribb with Jarl Rule. Whoa! What up? No, it wasn't. Nah, but I don't know. It's crazy.
Starting point is 02:13:09 She really, she knocked on my door. She knocked on my door. I would never knock on somebody's door after seeing them on a TV show. Miranda Lambert did in that song. Three years ago. Yeah, the house that built me. That I might do. I've driven by my childhood home and I peaked in the windows, but I didn't knock on the door.
Starting point is 02:13:24 Oh, okay. Which may be creepier. Well, let me just say, whoever bought my house when I was creeping on it, from my childhood home, I lived there for 18 years. And they were really in a fish. Like, every single room in that house had a fish tank. And in this one big window when I really got a peek, they had this fake palm tree thing that was lit up. It was actually a fish tank. Why are you hating on their hobbies?
Starting point is 02:13:48 I'm not. Because they weren't yours when you lived there. No, no. It just was weird to see my house like that. Like, it was a fish home. I got a little hater tone in that fish. It's sanctuary for fish, I think. You got this palm tree?
Starting point is 02:14:01 It was the craziest thing I've ever seen. And then I felt like a creeper. Follow the show on Instagram at Bobby Bone's show. Hey, today in country music history. The Bobby Bone Show. On this day in country music. Amy's a big George Strait fan. Yeah.
Starting point is 02:14:17 We're all George Strait fans, but Amy's a super fan. And that's what today is. On this day in country music history, 1989, baby's gotten good at goodbye. Came number one. Oh, you like that one? Such a damn. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 02:14:29 That's why I'm sitting on the front steps, staring down the road, wondering if she'll come back. This time I don't know. There she is. After she packed, when she looked back. There she is. There were no tears in her eyes. And that's got me worried thinking maybe my baby's gotten good at goodby. Amy's staying down to that low register, too.
Starting point is 02:15:04 She doesn't go high like she normally does. It was part of a string of 11 number one hits George Straighthead from 86 to 89. So good. Yeah. Why is he so good? The 11 number one started with nobody in his right mine would have left her and ended with possibly my favorite George Straight song. You got to have an ace in the hole. A little secret that nobody knows.
Starting point is 02:15:29 Man, life is a game. Oh, again, we all play. I haven't thought about this a long time. But you need to save something for a rainy day. You've got to learn to play your cards right. If you expect to win tonight. Come on, don't put it all on the line for just one row. Man, what a jam. That just happens to be up here. Anyway, George Strait has 60 number one hits on this day, 1989. 30 years ago, he had that baby's gotten good a goodbye, number one song. There you have.
Starting point is 02:16:05 That was, on this day in country music. Amy, what's going on today? Today we got music lessons with the kids. Yeah, what is your son playing? Do you doing drums? Yeah, I mean, we just were talking about it, but I think that that's what I'm going to let happen. And your daughter's playing? Piano. There you go. Oh, Eddie, do you have that keyboard? Yeah.
Starting point is 02:16:24 Okay, cool. Bring it tomorrow. Oh, cool. Sweet. Yes. If not, I'll grab one, but we definitely need to start practicing at home. She's into it, and the teacher's like, the only way to get better is practice at home. Tonight, I have my class of 2019 show here in town.
Starting point is 02:16:36 We have five artists, and they're going to put on a show to be good. It's Teneal Towns and Rachel Womack and Lauren Jenkins and Kaylee Hammack and Abby Anderson. So that it all be tonight. Big show. Every time you say Abby Anderson names, I just think of her being like, yes, sorry. Yes, sir. She's like so cute. She was on this morning with us. Starting point is 02:17:03 Oh. Make some notes, listen to things. Yeah, probably like, that's good and that's great. That's really bad. Oh, wow. Okay. Yeah, yeah. That song doesn't make it. There you have it. Hope you all have a great day. We'll see you on Tuesday. It's Bobby Bone Show. Happy Ever Full's Day. Watch out. Don't believe anything, folks.
