Starting point is 00:02:43 The Bobby Bones post show pre-show. I'm getting a hard time over on the text line because I mentioned that I, like, I've been with a cold, and so you can't really blow your nose into, A toilet paper over and over or paper towel because you'll tear your nose up. And so I've been sleeping with a towel. And so when I have to blow my towel, I'm disgusting. I know I'm disgusting.
Starting point is 00:03:04 But all rules are off when you're sick, right? Right? Like, when I'm sick at, I'm disgusting. I am disgusting. But I'm getting hammered because that's like, well, you change your sheets every two days. You talk about this, but then you sleep in the bed with a towel that you wipe your nose with. Now, you're good. All rules are off when you're sick.
Starting point is 00:03:21 I eat different when I'm sick because I'm like, boo boo boo boo, boo, boo needs fried chicken. You guys do that You want to feel comforted by food? Yeah, I guess it depends on what's going on with me But yeah Because you're not working out, you're not active You're just looking for anything That chemical to make you feel good
Starting point is 00:03:39 And so, and it's not, I don't recommend it Because it's not long term But it's just briefly Like I love ice cream And I love fried food And I'm not feeling well And I shouldn't eat it And if I'd maybe next time
Starting point is 00:03:51 In like four months when I get sick Don't bring it to me Because I know how you work You're just so good and kind you'll show up with ice cream and fried food Okay, no problem I won't She used to show up my house
Starting point is 00:03:59 I'd be sick I wouldn't answer my door He wouldn't answer the door So she would like beat on the door And then like drop off like soup and gatorade Oh wow And I would Yeah
Starting point is 00:04:09 But he wouldn't answer But I would Well because I don't want to get anybody sick No You know what I mean We have some toilet paper I really I came in this morning
Starting point is 00:04:17 I was talking to Amy I was like hey I feel like pretty good I didn't even bring my My terrible towel with me to work today Yeah Because I just blow my nose into this I'm going to turn my mic down. Talk for a second, Amy.
Starting point is 00:04:27 Okay. Right now I'm watching Bobby blow his nose. This is an action chat. You don't have talk about this. You can have anything you want. That's all we can see, though. Yeah, no, people want play by play. Okay, the paper towel is that, oh, the noise.
Starting point is 00:04:38 It's like, is that a good one? What's up? Do you have to worry about the paper towel getting stuck to your beard? A little bit if I don't have a... It does happen. If I didn't shave, I didn't shave very much today.
Starting point is 00:04:50 I'm supposed to be... What am I camera ready for today? I know. I thought you're camera ready. By the way, this is stubble. Let me live my life with stubble then Stubble's fine Yeah So I am
Starting point is 00:04:57 That's what I go If they're like you're like camera ready I'm like what Ryan Seacrest has stubble Yeah right That's a good comeback What am I camera ready for today Do we know? Yeah we got a couple of videos
Starting point is 00:05:06 For what? Our Las Vegas station Oh okay Do I like camera ready? I mean I don't see a difference There's not Here's not I get so irritated
Starting point is 00:05:16 When I get the camera ready A little alarm on my computer To go to be camera ready tomorrow Because it may be for like one line in Tupelo, Mississippi. They're not even going to show the visual. They're just playing the audio. It's just up sometimes, too. I show up in a full
Starting point is 00:05:31 tuxedo. Yes. Back on the day, you used to get really dressed up. And the hair was done nice. All it means is don't wear pajamas on the bottom half. That's all that means. And I don't even shoot your bottom half. You should, though. Okay. I get it. I got a heck of my bottom half. All right.
Starting point is 00:05:48 What are you doing? Throwing that away? Well, I always have the the debate, do I put the tissue that I blew my nose into into the paper recycle? No, that's disgusting. Yeah, it goes to recycle.
Starting point is 00:06:01 It gets recycled. It's paper. I don't know how lunchbox is the one saying that's disgusting. Yeah, because I'm the one that empties that. And so I get a snotty Kleenex out of there. For the environment, it goes into the recycle. That's a fair question.
Starting point is 00:06:12 Is it recyclable? Recyclable. It's not. So it is in there. I always put it in there. Anytime I'm sick. Now I don't know the answer. And I put it in Bobby's chair when I go.
Starting point is 00:06:21 get when I empty it. You do? Yeah. Oh. That's not sure. Well, to put snotty Kleenex in the recycle bin is disgusting. It's disgusting. It's paper.
Starting point is 00:06:31 It's like wiping your butt. And I just put it at the bottom of the thing. Wait, are you serious? Why are you so serious? It's like wiping your butt and stick it in the in the recycling. It's recyclable. Stop. No, poop.
Starting point is 00:06:42 Well, poop is recyclable. In Haiti, you can't put it in the toilet. You have to put it in the trash can. What do you mean? Septic problems. You can't put toilet. You can't put toilet. paper in the, like at the orphanage, for like plumbing issues.
Starting point is 00:06:55 Right. So you, so my kids, that's been a big thing. Like, sometimes they still don't because their whole life, like majority of their life was in Haiti. So when they first got here, they kept putting their toilet paper in the trash, like, whatever they did is always in the trash. And I'm like, guys, you can put it down the toilet now. So then we encounter the problem of like, oh, yay.
Starting point is 00:07:15 You put everything down the toilet. Put it all down the toilet. And then plumbers were having to come and we're like plunging things all the time because trying to get that right, that right ratio. What is the, what's the mix now? What are they, do they still sticking toys down there or no? No, I think Stasheera, she recently, I think I told you a toothbrush. She was brushing her teeth while she was on the toilet and she dropped it and she was like,
Starting point is 00:07:37 ah, well, okay, flush. I would have the same thing. I'll be honest with you. You would not be brushing your teeth on the toilet. No, but I'm saying had I dropped it, flush. Well, she was multitasking. I like that. And I was like, what?
Starting point is 00:07:48 Why is the toilet clogged? And she goes, ooh. she's like maybe that was me and I was like what did you flush? She's like my toothbrush I was flushing and I was peeing and it dropped and I didn't want to touch it
Starting point is 00:07:59 so I just flushed it and I said next time call me I'll go in after it because I'll throw it away but don't flush it because then it caused it got stuck no I get it I get stuck bones
Starting point is 00:08:11 like I have rubber gloves like I'm prepared I can go in for I'm not going to make her brush her teeth with that's another question do you would if you're going to go in do you have to use rubber gloves or would you ever just go like regular hand and then wash it? I guess it just depends with the timing.
Starting point is 00:08:26 If I drop my phone, I'm going in. Just no. It doesn't matter. I'm just going to wash after. Luckily the one time I've dropped my phone in the toilet, nothing had happened yet, but it was a public restroom. Oh, no, no, no, that's gone. You know, it's gone.
Starting point is 00:08:38 That's the pits of hell. No, I would know. It's over. What? No, your reflexes, you go straight in. You're like, I thought, because I had it in my back pocket and I pulled down my pants. And from that, I forgot it was in my back pocket and boom, it slid right into the toilet
Starting point is 00:08:53 And I was like, Mop, going in. That was a good phone. No, no. I got it. I got it. A public restroom? It's this phone that I used. There's no way. It's just cost too much.
Starting point is 00:09:01 Yeah, Eddie, this is my phone. I still use it. This is the one that fell in the toilet. It was brand new at the time. Do you know how much it was brand new? Nine cracks ago, Eddie. Nine drops ago. Whatever, I got my crack screen fixed.
Starting point is 00:09:12 It's just how much it costs the thing. Yeah. A toothbrush? Yeah. Is I going in for it. Right. I guess rings like, A cell phone?
Starting point is 00:09:20 Wedding ring. I'm going in head first after a cell phone. It's got everything. I'm holding my nose and I'm going down into it. Yesterday's post-up pre-show was like 45 minutes. Today's won't be that long because we have to do some interviews today regarding our IHart Country Festival up here in the studio. We're just coming up in May, huh? Yep.
Starting point is 00:09:36 I'm pretty excited about that one for us because the raging idiots are going to play it. We're going to have some songs, some actual songs that we're proud of. Yeah. You know what I mean? I'm working hard on these songs. I'm excited. But working hard, you mean, we played them live once. But other than that.
Starting point is 00:09:47 Well, we got them together. We did ride them. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, Amy, anything you'd like to say? You have a mailbag up today for your podcast. You do a halfway to the week podcast. Yeah, my Q&A, it's called the fifth thing. Yes.
Starting point is 00:10:01 And, I mean, I talk, like, how to get greens on the go. Like, if you're traveling or you're too busy, and people want, like, green stuff for their bodies. The meaning behind my kids' names, because someone was curious, and I even learned a little bit with that, too. And the benefits of some vital proteins that I take. Oh, lifting lightweights versus heavy weights. Somehow suddenly now, I mean, I go and I get expert advice on this.
Starting point is 00:10:24 I'm not just like just giving people my opinion on this stuff. And then my favorite is self-tanner. Well, so that's a, it's the fifth thing, which means she answers emails from people that listen to her Four Things podcast. So search for four things with Amy Brown. If you're into sports, the guys here on the show have a podcast called The Soar Losers podcast. I guess are you guys into March Madness right now? Oh, heavy into March Madness. and lunchbox is Hayden on Duke so it's mostly him
Starting point is 00:10:49 Duke's the only reason people are watching TV now That's what I'm saying And they're gonna win They're not gonna win but it's all good So that's basically what it is And then I have a new podcast up today With Trevor from Old Dominion Just talking about all the saw
Starting point is 00:11:04 He just got 10 number ones Like six from Old Dominion and four himself And you know he talks at one point about You know the bands They were gonna go like Should we go with like Matt Ramsey Who should we go with like fried cheese chicken. What was it? Friday. What was it? Fried Eagle? Fried Eagle. He's here. Just search
Starting point is 00:11:20 the Bobbycast. It was a good one. So check that out. Trevor Rosen. There's one with the lead singer Three Doors Down. There's one with Emily Wiseband, who's a really good writer in town. That being said, we're going to start today's show because we've got to get out of here. Thank you so much, and here's today's show. Way we go. That's right. Hi, welcome to the show. Oh, Tuesday. Morning Studios.
Starting point is 00:11:54 Morning. You know what I did last night? I watched American Idol. Um, I did a Bobbycast. I watched this documentary that's called The Inventor on HBO. And it's about this woman who basically fold everybody into taking billions of dollars. She did this blood thing where it's like, um,
Starting point is 00:12:16 an inch and they put on your finger, takes the blood. And she was like, well, we can tell everything about you from your blood. And they built this machine called the Edison
Starting point is 00:12:25 and you put it in the machine and every month they could tell you everything about you, your health, where it was going. And she was worth $9 billion.
Starting point is 00:12:33 And the whole thing was false. She tricked everybody. It just happened like the last two years. But how did she trick them? Yeah, Theranos, yeah. My wife is listening to a podcast right now.
Starting point is 00:12:41 There's an ABC podcast about it. And there's a whole HBO documentary about it. What do you mean how she tricked them? Because it wasn't a project. privately owned company, so you don't have to disclose everything, and you get a couple investors that believe early, big enough names, and they can kind of convince other people to do it.
Starting point is 00:12:56 Oh, okay, gotcha. She was the next Steve Jobs. Yeah, I just didn't know. I mean, if I was investing, I'd be like, okay, break my finger, tell me. You would, well, and she would. And they would do it, they would actually run into a lab, and they wouldn't even use the machine. It is crazy.
Starting point is 00:13:10 I won't bore you with all the details. It was two hours. I don't know that I'd recommend it for everybody because it gets a little boring, but she tricked everybody. Now she's worth zero, and she's going to go to jail, and she's hot. And she had... Side note. Like how you threw that in.
Starting point is 00:13:21 No, and she had... She talked like this. She had deep voice. Oh. So... Was still datable? Yeah, like, I'm not going to lie. I went to her Twitter, just to see what's up.
Starting point is 00:13:29 Because she's young. Yeah, she was born in like 83, 84 or something. Okay, yeah. But she would get up and she would talk like this. She's 35. And she'd say, you know, we're here. We have a great... And you're like, wow, look.
Starting point is 00:13:40 And then you start to read these things. And it turns out she was thinking that voice. A lot of the stories say, what? A couple people said she would come out of that voice something should get drunk. It's crazy. It's not HBO. I rarely even watch HBO except for Game of Thrones, maybe like Ballers with the Rock, but I sure
Starting point is 00:13:55 put it on there. It's called the inventor. Okay, I'll have to check it out. I don't know. I'm not recommending it, just read the story about it and then if it's excites you, go look at it. Okay. But she was like so everything about it. She wanted to be Steve Jobs.
Starting point is 00:14:12 And so, anyway, I watched that. That's good. Was her goal to actually figure it out. Like, did she really had good intentions because she was like, I just need more time. But she kept lying about it
Starting point is 00:14:21 is the problem. Like I think she started with good intentions at 19 years old and she's very smart. And Walgreens picked it up and they had their own Theranos machine supposedly
Starting point is 00:14:30 but they were just sending it off to a laugh. It's crazy, man. Walgreens didn't even know. Anybody else watch this with me? No. Oh, all right. Well, I'm a geek.
Starting point is 00:14:37 That being said, if you read about it and you watch it, it's good. I watch that. Amy, watch Catch Me if you can blindly. Yeah. Is it good?
Starting point is 00:14:45 That's Leo DiCaprio and Tom Hanks from, what is that, from like 15 years ago? Yeah, basically. I just had never seen it and y'all have been talking about it a lot lately. So I was like, okay, better check this out. And, man, I, well, the whole time I'm watching, I'm like, this is so good. And the fact that it's a true story had no idea. Even when y'all were hyping it up, I had no idea it was true until I was watching it. And then I was like, what other movies am I missing out on?
Starting point is 00:15:08 All this time. A lot. Well, but sometimes you sit down and you're like, there's nothing to watch. But there is. I feel that way now with television shows Like everything on Netflix There's got to be 100 awesome shows And we're not watching
Starting point is 00:15:20 Especially with music now too Everything is getting just so cut and nicheed The reason that people don't talk about music as much anymore Because we all found what we like And there's so much out there We listen to exactly what we like There's no real main You know we're on a mainstream format
Starting point is 00:15:35 But think about what you listen to at home Well I guess you have kids Listen whatever they What do they listen to? Right now? Waka Waka Shikara Waka Waka. Fazi?
Starting point is 00:15:45 Fazi bear. This is time for Africa. It's Shakira. I don't know. They get obsessed with songs, and that's lately even the one that they have on a repeat. And when they ask Alexa to play Africa, the Shakira song, sometimes Toto comes on. So now we listen to that too. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:16:02 Well, we all have our, because so much music is being made by so many different people, there's really not a mainstream. Even the biggest pop act. You can walk down the street. Most people don't even know who are in La Grande is. Yeah, but they know You like my hair Not really You would think so, but not really
Starting point is 00:16:19 But that Anybody start watching Russian doll on Netflix? No Yes I haven't but it's up there I never And at No
Starting point is 00:16:27 I turn it on thinking Okay, it popped up as recommended I don't even make it through 10 minutes of episode one It is so not good But you watch it Tell me what you think There's also the widow on
Starting point is 00:16:39 Amazon that you watched Yes With El Cate Beck and sell Yeah, where her husband's plane crash goes down in the Congo. And then is he even dead? Is he? I do want to watch that. She sees them in like a ball game or something like going on.
Starting point is 00:16:53 No, she sees them on the news. Oh, that's Paris Bueller. Yeah, yeah. That's funny, man. Thank you very much. That's similar. I winked at Eddie there too. But she doesn't even see him.
Starting point is 00:17:01 She just sees this hat he used to wear. And then she like goes all the way to the Congo. And like, first of all, that's just like not safe. But it's a show. It's a TV show. Anybody watch anything new? Good lunchbox. Usually has them up your sleeve?
Starting point is 00:17:13 No, I haven't watched anything new because, oh, I guess, Catastrophe on, what is that on? It may be on Hulu. Is it good? Yeah, it's really good. And do you hear how many different platforms there are? And this is nothing. In five years, NBC is going to have one. Disney Plus and ABC, which is all of ABC.
Starting point is 00:17:30 It's, we're just going to be like, what's happening? There's going to be so much out there. It's on Amazon. Catastrophe. It is a really funny show, and it's pretty good. I thought you're going to pick one of those real world shows. I was listening to the Bill Simmons podcast, and he was talking about how Johnny Bananas is now like not good anymore he's losing all that well he his problem is he doesn't have
Starting point is 00:17:49 a good alliance because all the people he came up with in the challenge they're gone so all the new young people don't want Johnny Bananas around so they they get him out of there like he's the old guy yeah he's the old guy and he has to battle against all the young guy I don't even know what Johnny Bananas is but I know lunchbox likes him and they were talking about him on his podcast I listened to so yeah I got invited to the Adam Prola podcast are you going to go to it eventually I think so yeah it'd be funny huh yeah That means you're big time. I don't know about that, but it was nice.
Starting point is 00:18:16 Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast, highlight segment of the day. All of our girls here, as we call this, the girl group. And here's our jam. All right, let's welcome. By the way, we're talking about this. A woman found out that the name her husband picked out for their baby was one that is X that picked out. All right? So this gets a little dicey here.
Starting point is 00:18:44 Let's bring in Amy. Amy, how are you? Hey, doing good. I am 38 years old, mom of two, and been married for 12 years. It's been a long time since I dated, but I got to tell you, if I had brought a name to the table that my ex-boyfriend had picked out, no go. No, you can't do that. Morgan number two? I'm 25 years old, and I love to go out to the bars, but when I do, I like to take shots.
Starting point is 00:19:11 I don't really drink drinks. That's every week, right? Hillary, what's up with you? I'm 26 and I actually have a scar on my chin from a sledding accident. I got into it, I was seven. I hit a fence. Still holding on to that scar? It's funny how it doesn't, the scars stay with us forever, huh?
Starting point is 00:19:27 I have scars, yeah. Yeah. All right, here we go. So this woman, she's with her husband, they're about to have a baby, and she finds out that the name he picked out was actually a name that his ex that said, hey, if we ever have a baby, this is what we're going to name the baby, right? That's the question. So would you be okay with that once you found out?
Starting point is 00:19:43 Morgan number two, we're going to you first. I think it's okay. I don't like exes. We all have agreed that and understood that I don't like exes. But I think it's okay. It's just a name. And I don't see that really being something that should have an influence. That hard on a name that that baby is never going to associate with that X ever again.
Starting point is 00:20:05 It's just a name. So if you like the name, but you found out it was an X that was the one that suggested him, you'd still be okay with it. Yeah. I mean, it's no different. Like, there's a name that I like, and I got it from a street sign. Like, it's just, it's random things. Name come from experiences, so I don't think it's a bad thing. You experience life, and that's where your names come from.
Starting point is 00:20:25 You guys can call us if you want, 877-Bobby. Let's go over to Utility Hillary. What do you think about this, Hillary? I don't, I wouldn't be okay with it. I think there are thousands of other names that you can choose from, and that was something that they did together, and I want us to come up with a name together. So any time I'd saw, I see my child or say the name, I'd kind of think, oh, yeah, my husband came up with this name with his ex.
Starting point is 00:20:47 So I wouldn't be okay with it. Amy. I'm obviously passionate about this. I got a little head of myself and said my stance, which is, no, I don't know. I don't want to have the ex. I don't want to run into the X one day with my kid and be like, oh, this is my kid Henry. And she'd be like, Henry, that was my name that I picked out. And then I don't want to be like, okay, I just don't want it apart of anything.
Starting point is 00:21:10 I want to come up with a name all on my own and not from anybody else. What if he loved it, though? And, you know, Morgan number two said it comes from experiences. Well, experiences with her or him or whomever. And I just don't, I don't, I mean, I'm sure there's a super cute name. Oh, like, I had an ex-boyfriend once when I was 21, and he dated a girl named Josie once. I named my dog, Josie. That's a super cute name.
Starting point is 00:21:36 That's so cute, right? I know. That's where I'm okay. with it because it was like and plus I probably would never run into her at all but that is such a cute name to me and I actually would be a cute kid's name too but I don't think I could name my kid that for fear that I might run into her one day and be like this is my daughter Josie and I named her after you no Abby in Indiana what do you think I think it's pretty crappy if it wasn't disgusted he wasn't up front with that before the whole name of the baby thing
Starting point is 00:22:08 I have three kids, 15, 13, and 6, and I was very happy. But if I found out that my husband chose a name based on an ex, very, very, very upset. What if you love the name, though, before you found out? Like, you were like, I'll just go with Abigail, all sorts of the day. You're like, Abigail, this name fits perfectly. Like, I love it so much. And then you found out it was suggested by an ex, but you loved it so much. Well, obviously, if I had the kid, I love it.
Starting point is 00:22:38 I work at preschool, so kids ruin names to me all the time. So I have no qualms about hating a name that my husband's ex picked out. All right. Yeah, there's so many names out there. Like so many. Right? That's why it would be so hard. If it were me, if there was deception, it'd be tough for me.
Starting point is 00:22:57 I wouldn't hate it just because an ex suggested it. If, if, if, just switched the shoes and it was her, if she was like, hey, what do you think about, you know, Chuck? And she goes, honestly, it came, when I was with whatever, we talked about baby names and it came up. Not that I would love that idea, but if it were just an honest discussion, I'd probably be a little more open to it. For me, it's always about is there deception? Yeah. If there's not deception, I kind of be probably okay with listening, but it'd be tough.
Starting point is 00:23:28 But then if you run into the X's X. It's not a big deal. It's not a big deal. It's not like it's named after the X. I know, but then they look at the name and then they look up at who you're with and you're like, you took my name. Name. I came up with that name. Or you meet them and they have a kid too named the same name. Is this Samara? Hello? In Georgia?
Starting point is 00:23:49 Oh, hello. Hello. Oh, lost him. All right. Let's go to... Hello, you're on the Bobby Bone Show. Who's this? Hello? Hey, what's your name? Alyssa. What's happening? What do you think about this? So I actually, my stepson has his middle name. His mom picked out, but it's It was her ex's first name.
Starting point is 00:24:15 And my husband's not too much of a fan, but, like, it's just kind of what happened. It is what it is. But I can kind of look at it from the guy's side is because it's kind of awkward. It's tough. It's not an ideal situation. I'll end with this. Okay. It's not an ideal situation for anyone involved.
Starting point is 00:24:38 But it's so hard to find a name that you love. and as long as there's no deception, you're going to forget about that in the first month anyway. That's why I think. Again, until you run into them. I guess. But how often do you run into your ex if you're not living in the same town?
Starting point is 00:24:54 Let me see. In the last 20 years, I've run into two exes once each. Right. So there you have it. All right, so what's our vote? Amy says no. No.
Starting point is 00:25:08 Hillary says no. No. Yes. So no, the answer is no. The girl group says they will not name their baby. But you're the honorary girl. Yeah, but I don't get a vote. I just get an opinion, you know?
Starting point is 00:25:21 Right, there they are. There's our girl group. Thank you for all the calls too. Hey, stop crushing candy and make the switch to Best Fiends. Hey, it's Bobby Bones here. Download Best Fiends for free from the Apple App Store or Google Play Today. That's Friends Without the R. Best Fiends. Friends Without the R. Best Fiends. The Bobby Bones Show. Big Three Stories. Let's go over to our producer Ray Mundo, who is in the glass room with the news and his microphone.
Starting point is 00:26:31 Ramundo, what you got over there? The power ball's up to 750 million. It's now the fourth largest in U.S. history. Drawing is tomorrow night. In recall news, avocados are being recalled in six states, Arizona, California, Florida, Wisconsin, North Carolina, and New Hampshire. Don't eat them or you could get sick. And finally, in airport news, some delays in San Francisco, but other than that, no delays, you're good to go. So there's a Florida Man Challenge.
Starting point is 00:26:57 What they say is you get on Google and you type in Florida Man and they type on your birthday and you see what crazy story comes up. Because I'm going to be honest, a lot of our Tampa listeners, a lot of our Floridians out there listening, like crazy. stuff comes from Florida. But what I think is now people find these stories and make it a bigger deal than it really is because it's kind of funny. All right, so, Amy, you're out first. Florida man, and what's your birthday? March 18th. Florida man, March
Starting point is 00:27:20 18th, what's your headline? Well, a four... Oh, the headline, just the headline. Okay. Throne pancake batter leads to battery charges for Florida man. Did you see that thrown pancake batter leads to battery charges? Yeah. What happened in the story?
Starting point is 00:27:35 So this woman, she was on her front porch, making pancakes. I don't know why. And he had had a little bit too much drink and he went up on her porch and started threatening her and then they got into a fight and he threw a cooking pan at her. Then the bowl of batter tossing it at her. The bowl missed the woman but the bowl broke
Starting point is 00:27:56 but batter got all over her. Police say it was found on her clothes and in her hair and he was arrested on felony battery charge. There you go. For the batter. Lunchbox. Yep, I got, I'm July 25th. Florida man makes false 911 murder call to get out of a traffic ticket. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 00:28:13 Tell me more. He was getting pulled over, and so he called in a murder, hoping the cop would leave. Yes, and he would get out of the traffic ticket. Because there's only one cop. Yeah. Gotta go. That's funny. Producer Eddie.
Starting point is 00:28:27 March 21st, the headline says, Florida man attempts to burn down house with ragu sauce. Oh, wow. Yeah. Okay, go ahead. So they were burglarized in the house, and he's like, oh, I got a good idea. He's like, let me make it look like the stove caught the house on fire. So he put some ragu spaghetti sauce and then lit the stove up. And he said, and the cops got there first.
Starting point is 00:28:47 And they were like, well, house isn't burned down. And I see what you're trying to do. You're trying to lead us off the case. I like the wet bandits for the ragu bandage. Yeah. Mine is Florida man April 2nd. And the headline is, Egg Roll Rage lands Florida man behind bars. A drunk Florida man shoved his girlfriend outside of residence because he wanted to come in and eat
Starting point is 00:29:07 egg rolls. So the egg roll rage got him. And finally, let's go over to Morgan number two, our head of digital. Morgan number two, what is yours? Mine's October 6th. Florida man dressed as Fred Flintstone pulled over for driving a footmobile. That's funny. Wait, what's a footmobile?
Starting point is 00:29:25 Like he transformed his car to look like the footmobile from it. There's a picture of him. Oh, he did. He knocked out the bottom. And he's dressed as Fred Flintstone, and you can't do that. There's even bones around the car. And that's the Florida Man challenge. So what you can do is wherever you are today,
Starting point is 00:29:41 type in Florida Man, your birthday, and then see what comes up in Google. I saw people doing the internet that we'd do it today. That's fun, huh? Yep. Like it. Hey, shout out Florida. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:29:52 Listen, I love Florida. Represent. Represent. It's a Bobby Bone show. The great birthday debate ranges on. My birthday's coming up a week from today, and we're trying to decide what to do. My initial reaction when Amy asked me what to do,
Starting point is 00:30:04 because she's going to plan my birthday, because as she said on the show yesterday, I don't have a family. So that's what you said. I didn't say it full out. Eddie didn't she. I said, we are your family. I was taking backing off of something Eddie said.
Starting point is 00:30:16 I just admit it. No, you're taking, it's out of context. It sounds awful. I know, exactly. In context. I heard too. So, we, Amy's like, let me throw a party. I'm like, cool.
Starting point is 00:30:27 And I said, I don't want like four people there. She's like, but what if we do 400? And I was like, well. And that's where we are in the debate, right? And I was getting some heat yesterday because it wasn't that I said don't invite the whole show I was like I think there's a couple people from the show I'm really really close to that they should come
Starting point is 00:30:43 and so I was getting Morgan number two how were the text lines yesterday pretty split yeah it's pretty split I mean everybody wanted to agree with Amy they do agree that it's your birthday but also felt we are like a pretty tight show so everybody should come
Starting point is 00:30:59 the people that I'm the time I quit Tonya now hold on the phone here in Florida. Hey, Tanya. Hi. What's happening? Talk to me for a second. I just want to let you know that. I actually agree with Amy. Who doesn't?
Starting point is 00:31:14 Amy's the best. Yeah, Amy, Amy's right. I mean, it's your birthday. Your friends and family want to get together and throw you a party. It's because they love and care about you. And that just shows it all. And then people are going to feel pressure to come? Like, from industry, they're going to be like, I have to go to the party.
Starting point is 00:31:31 It's just a... They will come without having any problems. You don't know that, Tonya? Oh, I had friends a long time ago when I missed it all the time. They all pitched in and they all gave me a gift where I didn't have to go and do anything. And everyone had a great time. Well, we're going to find out either today or tomorrow what the final. I gave Amy.
Starting point is 00:31:50 I said, you do what you do. Like, you just do it and let me know because I'm good out of the way. Listen. How about? Hold on. Wait a minute. I'm really great at going with the flow as long as it's going my way. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:32:01 You are. Thank you. Hey, Heidi and Maryland. Hi, this is Heidi. Go ahead, Heidi. What would you like to say? Well, I just wanted to say that I think Amy's intentions are good, but I've been married to a man for about 27 years who thinks exactly the same way you do. And if I were to throw him a party, it would cause him so much stress that it wouldn't be fun at all. So I finally had to come to the conclusion after all these years that it's his birthday, he gets to do what he wants to do.
Starting point is 00:32:32 And even though it feels weird for me And not like a celebration That's what he wants So you should get what you want Like my chest gets tight Just thinking about this Yes, that's how he is too And I actually when we were first married
Starting point is 00:32:46 I didn't know that And I threw him a surprise birthday party Which was probably the worst thing I could have ever done So I get it I appreciate that I don't even know that I would hate a surprise party
Starting point is 00:32:57 Because then I couldn't do anything about it Well here's what I was going to say What? Since you just said Amy Fine, do whatever whatever you're going to do. What if I pick you up, blindfold you, and then you don't know where we're going, and then but I don't like the no surprise is coming.
Starting point is 00:33:13 You know my thing about surprises. I know you don't want to know what surprise. I love surprises. I hate knowing a surprise is coming. So blinding you makes you think there's a surprise coming? Or maybe think something else about it happened. Well, that's not happening. Well, listen.
Starting point is 00:33:30 This is where we are. we'll maybe update it tomorrow. Birthday shouldn't be stressed out. I agree. I said home last night, just stressing out about it. Well, that's the last thing that we want. We don't want that. I don't want that.
Starting point is 00:33:47 And look, I don't want to be stressed either. Birthday shouldn't be stressful on the friends that are trying to throw your birthday. Exactly. Invite everyone. You do what you want to do. Okay. But if you don't invite everyone, some people are going to feel left out. I didn't mind with most people feeling left out.
Starting point is 00:34:02 because then they all could bond over that together if there's like five out I could bond over that together but only a few people got left out that stinks because I was always left out I don't want a few people
Starting point is 00:34:11 to be left out everybody's in or nobody's in got it got it all right that sounds like fight club it is I'd have to talk
Starting point is 00:34:21 with Morgan number two after the show yesterday how did that go what do you mean how to go Morgan number two oh I'm fine if you don't want to invite me no that's not what I'm good
Starting point is 00:34:30 I told Morgan number two I said Morgan number two We're making our list And I was totally You were on the list of people I wanted to come But then Amy was like
Starting point is 00:34:39 If you invite her You have to invite all the other girls Yeah and I said that It's okay if you don't Like I'm cool with that It's your birthday It has nothing to do See this is what I'm talking about
Starting point is 00:34:47 You need to do What's good for you Now I'm the bad guy here All I can give my heart 364 days of year Amy And there's one day That's supposed to be my day I'm the villain
Starting point is 00:34:57 I'm Bain Right now Oh yeah From Batman Villain Villain I'm done I keep saying I'm done
Starting point is 00:35:06 So do you want a Batman theme party Just checking Yeah Is that a handbo? Yes it was I think it was Oh my gosh Stevenson has a costume
Starting point is 00:35:17 Yes and I have leftover plates For my kids Batman That would be fun Okay okay okay So now we're doing a theme What if we do like on top of like On top of Dirk's bar And we do a theme
Starting point is 00:35:28 What would be the fun theme? Will you tell me birthday boy Would you of us? Oh, oh, didn't you do like Teenager Ninja Turtles as a kid? Yeah, I'm like, I have everybody dressed up as Teenager and Ninja Turtles. That's one of your favorite memories. In my first book, I write about my 10-year-old birthday party.
Starting point is 00:35:44 It's the one birthday party I had as a kid really. Ninja Turtles? And my mom, yeah, had a birthday. Oh, the code word to get to the VIP that the rooftop bar could be Calabunga, dude. Yeah, nice. Don't they say that? Terrible code word can you just set it over the air.
Starting point is 00:35:58 That's true. Okay. It was like the secret code is 3269 dashed. Well, not so secret anymore. Wait, really? Would you want a theme? Like, really? Are you serious?
Starting point is 00:36:09 Because, I mean, we work on that. I don't know. You know what? Now I feel like you're leaning towards Whiskey Row, though. I'm just leaning toward you being happy. It's your birthday, right? Nope. Isn't this about you?
Starting point is 00:36:24 Okay, no. Okay. If it ever, no. No. It's not about me. Okay. Obviously trying to make you happy. I know. No.
Starting point is 00:36:32 Trying to make you feel. feel loved. That's what we're trying to do. Nothing makes me feel as loved as people going, what an argument about it, idiot. You know what I mean? What about Zach Massey? Our photographer? I don't think he made the cut. Not the first cut. If it's a big one, he can make it.
Starting point is 00:36:50 Okay. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. So this woman, Ann, she's 104 years old, and she lives at a senior citizen home, and this organization came up there. And they're like, hey, we want to make a wish for senior citizens. Anybody got one?
Starting point is 00:37:07 And she's like, yeah, I want to be arrested. She's like, I've always been on the right side of the law. So my senior citizen make a wish is to get arrested. So sure enough, police officers arrived at her elder care facility and placed her under arrest. They handcuffed her, placed her in a police car, and she was charged with being a good citizen. But she got arrested. And that was a bucket list item for her. and she's 104, so shout out.
Starting point is 00:37:35 Come on, Buzz, you got this. Well, the real switchup would have been if they arrested her for, like, assault the deadly weapon and she just spent the rest of her days and behind bars. Oh, yeah. Oh, you want this? You really? Life sentence.
Starting point is 00:37:49 Yeah, I mean, she's 104, so. It's a couple days. That's good. That's good, though. I like that. Go for those police officers. You know, I mean, I was watching It's the story of your son, and the police officers were being really nice to him inside the car,
Starting point is 00:37:59 and they let him. He was like, can I do the siren? And the first cop was like, not right now because it's not a good time. Yeah. And the second cop was like, yeah, go ahead. It's like, woo! He's like, can I drive?
Starting point is 00:38:10 He's like, we just like you do the siren. Yeah. I think he was just going to keep going until they stopped him. He wants to be a policeman. Yeah? So, yeah, he loves it. Amy, that's a good story. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:38:19 That was tell me something good. Bobby Bones show. Bonehead. Norrie up the day. This story comes us from Texas. A man was in a bass fishing tournament when he was busted cheating because the bass had to be less than 16 inches. Well, he caught some. He's like, man, those are some really
Starting point is 00:38:36 big bass. Oh, they're too long, so he cut the tails. Oh, wow. He cut the tail? Yes, he cut tails off the fish and tried to enter them as the winner and tried to win a lot of money. So now he got arrested in $25,000 bond. Yeah, that's real money. I've heard of other cheating. Like, you catch fish the night before
Starting point is 00:38:52 and you put in the live well. You know, I put on the dry well. It's dead. But, and then you take it, you're like, look what I got! It's not cool. And then they're like... I thought this just happened in the movie. No There were a lot of fishing tournaments Where I grew up
Starting point is 00:39:05 All the time You go and you launch the boats Everybody's ready You launch the boat Everybody heads out And if you can hide They usually check too But if you can hide a fish
Starting point is 00:39:15 That you caught That was big And then you come out at the end Like look what I caught Hey and then cutting tails That poor fish Isn't going to be able to swim After you do that
Starting point is 00:39:22 So that's not good That poor fish is done anyway That stinks All right there you go Oh I'm lunchbox That's your bonehead story of the day The Bobby Bones show Turn it up.
Starting point is 00:39:33 Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. We're transmitting across America. Hey, what's up, everybody? Hey, so Eddie and myself were in a group called The Raging Idiots. We're going to put out a live album real soon.
Starting point is 00:39:51 We recorded this in Boston. But we just got announced playing the Kansas State Fair. We're playing in Bakersfield coming up in a few weeks. We're playing the I-Heart Country Festival. We're playing a bunch of shows, but we're playing some. Only the big ones, Ham. Yeah, just the big. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:40:07 But I'm going to play this. This is from our live record. This is live in Boston. And this is, as Amy described it, a love song from me to the people. Yeah. This is called Man in the Mirror of All from The Raging Idiots.
Starting point is 00:40:21 Our live record will be up in the next couple weeks, hopefully. Check this out here on the Bobby Bone show. Bobby Bone. So I went on the show called Dancing with the Stars. Nobody expected me to win except you guys. And as soon as I got home, we wrote this song. It's called Man in the Mirror Ball. And so I hope you like it, and I hope you hear a little bit about yourself in this,
Starting point is 00:40:50 because I wrote this song for you guys. He couldn't dance. The River Ball. He showed, but nothing rhymes with Sharna. Sometimes I'd trip and slip and fall. Maybe I'd be the man in the mirror ball. Fox Tribe. I learned to jive, and I'm still alive.
Starting point is 00:42:29 I learned to tango. I learned the waltz. The judges thought I was on bathsaw. I won because of you guys. A confetti felt. Dancer said, What the hell? I couldn't have done it without you all
Starting point is 00:43:02 because I became the man in the mirror ball. So where these schools are doing adulting day to teach students how to do things like change attire, budget, cook, and how to behave if they're pulled over by the cops. Which I think on the surface is great, except there need to be full classes. on this stuff. We're learning trigonometry. I never spent a day even thinking about trigonometry
Starting point is 00:43:40 since the last minute I left trigonometry. Algebra? Like unless you have a profession that is algebra led, why are we taking these classes that really are doing nothing for us? Shouldn't we be learning life? And maybe that life is algebra. Maybe you are going to go be some sort of chemist, scientists, but if you're not, and if you know going to college, you're going to do nothing in mathematics, I had to take math for liberal arts. The dumbest thing I ever had to do. There was nothing in my life that was going to do math in college. Like, well, you have to take six hours of math for liberal arts. Why? Nothing in my life is going to be math-related. So, I love the idea. We need full classes on budgeting. Yep. And you know what? Maybe it's not a semester.
Starting point is 00:44:30 it's one of those where it's a semester, and each semester a few weeks you learn these things. There's so many life skills that kids get out of school and they just don't know. Right. And things like changing a tire is good. And how to call someone to go, please come change my tire. That's what I would do. Look up the number. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:44:47 So, you know, good for this school. It's Bullet Central High in Kentucky and seniors are getting real life skills. But I think much like in college, I'm going to tell you, they said you have to take, I don't know, some kind of active class, like a physical education class. Okay. To graduate. This is in college. Because in high school you did all this stupid stuff anyway.
Starting point is 00:45:08 So you know what I did? I took a racquetball. And was it fun? Yeah. And did I get pretty good? Yeah. Am I still pretty dominant? Even though I'm such a racket in yours?
Starting point is 00:45:16 Yeah, probably. Debbie had said, they should have made me take something like this. Like how to budget. Because that would have been so much more useful than this racquetball. So we got real. I'm going to tell you what gets me a. What? I watch the news and they start cutting back these school programs on the national level, the federal level.
Starting point is 00:45:36 They're like, you know what? We're going to take $6 billion out of education and we're going to put it in other places. And I'm just like, the really rich really want to keep the really poor down. And you know how the really poor get better? They learn. They get an education. I was lucky enough that I was blessed to have. It's just pretty smart.
Starting point is 00:45:52 Like I could figure things out pretty quickly. I was a survivor, but I was also pretty smart. But if you come from not a lot, it's hard to get to where you're not a lot. a lot anymore because the system's not built for you to succeed. And so when they pull things out of education, that's what I'm going to do. When I'm running this place, there's room, this country. Oh. Like, we want to, you want to help the lower class educate them.
Starting point is 00:46:15 Educate me. That's all. It starts with life skills. Give me started here this morning. I watch the news. They cut education. I get so mad. Are you yelling at the TV?
Starting point is 00:46:26 Do you yell at the TV? No, I don't yell. Not yell like in a, but are you like, come on, what are you all doing? This is stupid. I go come on because it's very short-sided. Meaning there is a huge gap between the lower class and the upper class. And if we want the lower class, which I was very much a part of, not anymore. I made pretty good money to where I am now.
Starting point is 00:46:44 I'm not even going to lie about it. But I was super lower class. And if you want that lower class to climb, you have to educate them. You have to give them resources. You have to help us. And nobody's helping us. They're cutting it off. They're cutting the poorest towns.
Starting point is 00:46:58 and they're cutting these education programs to actually let that gap be closed. And so that's what I think about night too sometimes. I lay in the bed and I go, how are people like me as a kid supposed to rise above this if no one's giving us resources? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:47:15 That's it. That's the end. I hope one day you get to do something about it. Thank you for coming to my TED Talk. You're welcome. frustrates me so much. You want to do something fun? Yeah. We just got off of that.
Starting point is 00:47:26 I don't even think people care to hear me talk about that. I just feel like if somebody doesn't stick up for the little people like me. I'm sticking up for me, basically. I'll be honest with you. If someone doesn't stick up for the little man, nobody's going to. Because politicians get in, and all they do is care about taking big money from big groups and making their agendas happen. That's why I'm just going to make you my own money.
Starting point is 00:47:45 And I'm not going to spend any of it either, and I'm just going to run based on Twitter. I'm just going to tweet out, vote for me. Oh. You're like Donald Trump. Yeah. And everybody's going to go vote for me. They're not going to spend any money. You're going to donate your paycheck every time, make sure everybody knows about it.
Starting point is 00:47:57 I'm going to be like, hey guys, I'm not buying any political ads, but vote for me, RT. Everybody's going to retweet it. And the next thing you know, everybody's going to the polls. The Big Bang Theory? No, I'm sorry. That's incorrect. Can you steal? No, not the show. It's how I met your mother. Oh.
Starting point is 00:53:07 From 2005. That was a good show. Lunchbox. Are you ready? Yep. Name this Yes, no, maybe I don't know Can you repeat the question You're not the boss of me now

Starting point is 00:53:39 There you go Oh, I would not have gotten that. Amy, over to you. Okay. Name this TV show theme song from the 2000s. Is that familiar? No. Would you know it, lunchbox?
Starting point is 00:54:03 You can't steal it, but would you know it? I'm Mike. Eddie? Absolutely. 2000s? So awesome. So 2000 to 2010? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:54:12 I have a guess, but I thought it was later than 2010. The year is 2008. Okay. Go ahead. Breaking Bad. Yeah. Yeah. Woo!
Starting point is 00:54:26 Yeah. I was a big fan, but I just, I think I watched it late. That was the problem, and I binge it. It was like, 2016 in my life. That's where I was. I watched like three years ago. Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:54:38 Yep. Name that TV thong, dong, dong, here we go, TV tong. It's a whole different game, yeah. I don't want to be anything other than what I've been trying. 2003 is when the show started. All I have to do is stick with me and I be so mine. You probably know.
Starting point is 00:54:57 That song, but this was the theme song. This was a theme song? Wow. I got one guess. Go ahead. Dawson's Creek. No, but you're in the right vein. Morgan number two, would you know that one? Yeah, I think it's one tree hill.
Starting point is 00:55:11 It's one tree hill, yeah, there you go. We're back to even. Don't know what that is. One to one. There's this big hill. Really? And the one tree only grew the whole time. And the whole show is just watching that hill
Starting point is 00:55:21 to see if another tree would grow. All right, here we go. Amy, ready? Name this one. That's the song? That's it? A lot of thought in that one. What?
Starting point is 00:55:40 Good luck, Amy. Does anyone know this? Nope. No. Dexter? No, I'm sorry. It's not. It's actually...
Starting point is 00:55:55 Lost. I never have seen that. Lunchbox, ready? Yep. By the way, lost from 2004. Lunchbox, there you go. It's from 2007. The show starts 2007.
Starting point is 00:56:12 I love this show. So good. Oh, you do? Yeah. Go ahead. That's Dexter. I know I don't get the point. Can I say it?
Starting point is 00:56:27 Madman. Yeah, Madman. Never seen it. So good. What a jam of a theme, though. Yeah. This is that. Manhattan.
Starting point is 00:56:35 All right, here we go. Amy, ready. Yeah. Name this one. Really? Go ahead. I see. Go ahead.
Starting point is 00:56:48 You're already in. What's that show? Oh, gosh. No way. I'm in, but what's that show? Go ahead. Two men and a boy or whatever. Two men and a boy.
Starting point is 00:56:58 What is that show? Three men and a baby. Oh, wait, what? No, with, you know, winning with Charlie Sheen. Two adults and a boy. Oh, they all show two adults and a boy. Show me two adults and a boy. Show me.
Starting point is 00:57:15 Two and a half men. Oh, show me two and a half men. Oh, what is it? That's what it sounded like to me. That's 30 Rock. Oh, I'm a big fan. Lunchbox, ready? Yep.
Starting point is 00:57:32 Do you know this one? No. Let's box is up. Oh, man. Go ahead. What's that show? Oh, gosh. Two adults and a toddler?
Starting point is 00:57:47 That is Dexter. That's Dexter. That is Dexter. All right, Amy, ready? Here you go. You need this one to stay in or he wins. Ooh. Men, men, men, men, man.
Starting point is 00:58:02 Men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, man, man. Men, man, man, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men, men. Do, do, do, do, do, do, do. I'm in. Two and a half men. There you go. Lunchbox. For the win, though.
Starting point is 00:58:15 If you get this, you close it. I win. You win, yeah. How's this one? I know it. He should know this one. He's dancing. How do you not know this one?
Starting point is 00:58:36 There was the biggest show in television. And his friend was on it. McCab Brooks was in it. Wisteria Lane. Yes. Nicole Sheridan. Terry Hatcher. What I don't know.
Starting point is 00:58:48 Felicity Huffman. Oh, she's... Marsha Cross. She's up. And Becky. Eva Longoria. Are you guys ready? Go ahead, lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:59:06 Desperate, housewives. There, yeah. Crushing it. Hey, Phil. Man, I feel like I don't watch enough TV. I missed a couple. No. Oh, they're old, though.
Starting point is 00:59:34 Yeah, yeah. Here's Amy's pile of stories. A new study found exactly a win. that we turn into our parents. And research says that a woman starts to turn into her mother at age 33, and the average man turns into his father at 34. You feel that in you? Biggest signs, like for a woman,
Starting point is 00:59:56 taking up hobbies that your mom used to do, like maybe even knitting, using cliches and expressions that their mother's used and even starting to look like them more physically. What do you think about you? Is there anything that you... Yes, my elbows are starting to turn into my mom, and I'm weird about the...
Starting point is 01:00:13 dishwasher like she was, like she liked the silverware. I'll put it in a certain way. And it used to not really bother me. And now I want it all done to where when you unload the silverware, you can just put it right away. Lunchbox, you see anything with you and your dad? Oh, my wife says we have the same mannerisms. We stand the same way. And we are just the same.
Starting point is 01:00:31 Like, he came to visit. And when Baby Box would make a noise, he yells just like I do. We are the exact same. For men, the biggest signs are balding, gaining weight, turning off lights in empty rooms, dressing more conservatively and taking on their father's political opinions. Yeah, what about you, Bobby? Well, I'm a lot. Well, and I would say I'm not really taking on my dad's mannerisms because I'm still here.
Starting point is 01:00:53 What do you mean? It's like around. Oh. Yeah, I'm still with you guys. I didn't decide to leave when you were kids. You know what I mean? Thank you very much. Everybody else lowers their heads and Morgan number two and raised their head and raised their head and laughed out loud.
Starting point is 01:01:06 Come on. Yes, what else, Amy? Okay, so I've got four ways to become your boss's favorite. employee. So take notes, boys and girls. Okay, let me see if any of mine make this list. Because as a boss, one, show up on time. Is that on there? It says at number three, get to work early.
Starting point is 01:01:22 Yes, yeah, absolutely. People who show up early tend to be seen as more competent. Yes, and I can trust you. Like, show up on time. Do more than you're asked of at times. Because if you do more than you're asked of, then I'll go, oh, you can actually do more and I'm going to give you more. When you get more,
Starting point is 01:01:42 actually get more responsibility, which means more money. It's all in the wrong order. You don't get money first and then get more job. You start doing more work first to get paid. Is that on there? It says solve problems on your own. Yeah, I understand. Bringing stuff to your boss, like only bringing stuff to your boss if you like really, really, really can't figure it out, but basically have some solutions in mind and try to figure it out yourself.
Starting point is 01:02:03 I'm into that one? What else you got? Say thanks more often. Even when they say you did something wrong, you should thank them for the feedback, even if it's negative. I don't need that. Okay. And then lastly, manage up. Like, find a way to manage the people even above you, like to help them succeed, because if they do, you will. I think absolutely some of you you guys do that to me. I know Amy does for sure. Amy, Mike D. does a bit, too. And so does Ray Mundo. All of you guys kind of will move me around a little bit and be like, hey, looking out for you, this, this, this. So I would agree with that, too. So everybody listening, practice this, see if it
Starting point is 01:02:41 helps you at your old job? Yeah, check back in in a year. Yeah. And then, Bobby, I thought this is good news for you. Because you know how you're single and you're looking to mingle? Well, 51% of young people are single. That's the highest percentage ever. That means there are more fish available in the sea.
Starting point is 01:02:57 This is, seriously, the first time ever, the majority of young people are single. That's people 18 to 34. I'm not even in that. But that's, you date in that real house. Oh, well, I'm not an 18, I know. Well, you would date a 34-year-old. Yeah, I would date at 27. The study also found
Starting point is 01:03:13 21% of people between 35 and 49 are single. Yeah, there you go. That's a high percentage. And then if you're 50 and 64, there's some options too. That's probably where I'll be in a few years. Well, there we have it.
Starting point is 01:03:28 I don't know. I thought that that would give you some hope that a lot of people are single. You're not alone. I know. I'm good. Don't feel sorry for me. Right now, I feel like that Sarah McLaughlin's. Amy's got Sarah McLaughlin tone where she's like, In the arms. You know, for 99 cents a day, you two don't have to be single. That's what it feels like right there.
Starting point is 01:03:46 All right, Amy, is that it? Yeah, maybe that's my pile. There you go. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. A man who's been living on the streets for years has been given a home and a job after a teenager spotted his note next to a bus stop. Anthony Johnson left a note, wrote it out on a bus stop.
Starting point is 01:04:06 Said, hey, I'm just looking for work. The 16-year-old Charlotte Howard saw it, took a picture. the note, posted it on our social media. The story got around because people retweet and share things that they think actually matter and it can make a difference. A camper was donated. Over $1,300 has been raised to get him back
Starting point is 01:04:23 on his feet. He's got a job now as a handyman and he's been working steady ever since. Love it. Because someone took a picture and post on social media. Isn't that cool? That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. The latest from Nashville and Hollywood. Morgan No. 2's 30 Second Skinny.
Starting point is 01:04:40 Blake Shelton teased his next single called God's Country. He shared a clip of the music on social media saying that it'll be out this Friday, March 29th. Let me hear this. This just the music? Yep, just the music. Let me insert what I think it'll sound like. Hold on that again. Because there are no words.
Starting point is 01:04:59 God's country is where God goes when he wants to spend the day looking at the country. Blake Shelton is God's country. That's a hit. It's not bad. Save that clip because I think when we play it back versus what it's going to really sound like, they're going to be similar. God's country. Ready?
Starting point is 01:05:21 Yeah, yeah. Go. God's country. It's what I think when I think of God in his country. It's country. Because it's God's country. Wow. Yes.
Starting point is 01:05:35 That's it. Save those two. We got a good feeling. That's what it really sounds like. All right, Morgan, number two, what else? Maddie and Tay have an EP coming called One Heart to Another, and it's going to be out on April 26th. All right, good for them. Like five or six songs?
Starting point is 01:05:48 Yeah. Now, what else you got? Jana Kramer has a new single called Beautiful Lies, and it was inspired by what she was going through back in 2016 when she and her husband split due to his infidelity. Boof, with one after the other. Tell me I'm making this up. Did she write this? Do we know, or did she find it? Because it's inspired.
Starting point is 01:06:09 She said she was in the studio and she wanted to create a song. So I don't know if it is her, but she wanted to create a song that was about this moment. Yeah. We're on the street. Yeah, I've seen a lot of streets. This is as front as it gets, man. Tell me I'm making this up. Interesting.
Starting point is 01:06:53 Well, I think it's a good song, but that's the first time I've heard it. Well, there you go. Morgan number two, thank you. Yep, I'm Morgan number two. That's the skinny. We're transmitting across America. Hey, over to Amy with the joke. The Morning Corny.
Starting point is 01:07:18 Which U.S. State has the smallest soft drinks? Which U.S. state has the smallest soft drinks? Minnesota. There you do. Come on, Minnesota. I think we all knew that one more. That's good. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:07:36 I think we're all looking forward to Thursday to see if we can keep our street going to four. I know, I can't wait. When we do investigative horny. Bobby Boone. My name's Bobby, my name's Bobby Bones. My name's also. Country Music's youngest historian. The Bobby Bones Show.
Starting point is 01:07:51 On this day in country music. 23 years ago, Shania Twain had the number one country album with The Woman and Me. It was Shania's second album, but her first with the majority of the songs co-written by her. Morgan number two is our die-hard Shania Twain fan. She's your favorite of all. time, huh? All time. Do you know this whole album? Yeah, I do. Can you name another song on this album? Second album. Come on, Morgan, number two. You can do it. Who's Bad Have Your Boots Been Under? Yes. Got it. This was the first single from the album, which she co-wrote.
Starting point is 01:08:37 Also on the album. Jam. No one needs to know. Oh, come on. This is so, you forget about this. You forget about this one and like all of her jam jams, but this is a jam jam jam. I'll tell him someday, some way, somehow. Come on. Yeah, that's good. And here's one. Morgan number two, do you know this song, You Win My Love?
Starting point is 01:09:04 I think so. There you go. Who does it? Come on. It went on to become her biggest selling recording at the time of its release, selling four million copies by the end of the year. By the way, fun fact, Fun fact, she has the best-selling album ever released by female artists of any format ever,
Starting point is 01:09:23 all-females, period. It doesn't matter country. It's awesome. All-female. Come on over, sold 19 million albums, but 2002. So anyway, there you go. Starting point is 01:14:05 I kind of felt dumb this morning I woke up at 2 o'clock this morning Why? Shot out of bed Because I thought it was like 7 a.m. Yeah I thought I overslept I never
Starting point is 01:14:13 never do that. But I popped out of bed. I leave my TV on and Netflix freezes now and goes, are you sure you want to keep watching? I hate that. I wish there was a setting where I could go just play it all night, Netflix. Yeah. Just playing in the background. Yes, yes, I do want you to continue. Thank you. It just stopped and was lit up and that black screen with white light. And so I thought the sun was up. Coming through my window, that white light, I jumped out of bed. And I don't ever do that. That's the worst feeling. Did you think that you like missed the show? I thought it was late. I was like, I haven't been late since 2000.
Starting point is 01:14:43 three. So, yeah, it was rough. So I've been up since about 2 o'clock this morning. Did that? I don't know. I think last night's the last night I slept with a towel in my bed. I think tonight I'm done. Oh, you graduated. I got a cold, you know? Oh my gosh. You guys. I thought it was for something else. No. No. His binky. No. Like, you went in the bed? No. But I have like a cold. I had a cold. And so I keep a towel in my bed because if I keep blowing my nose into like a Toil paper? Okay. Toil paper, tissue, whatever.
Starting point is 01:15:15 My nose gets so red. Yeah. But it looks like you're like, it's a hype towel. It looks like you're just like walking around with a hype towel all the time. Yesterday that's what I looked like. I was walking out with my terrible towel. Yeah. Terrible towel.
Starting point is 01:15:26 Anyway, that's been my life the past 18 hours. That in American Idol. Justin Bieber said he's retiring from music for a little bit to focus on himself. My mom I don't like you, but she likes everyone. Says that music's very important, but nothing comes before my family and my health. He's focused on repairing some issues. And good for him. I just think he, if he just doesn't do music in like six months,
Starting point is 01:15:49 nobody notices, right? No. No. No, I wouldn't. Yeah. That's what people do, right? That's what I was thinking. He could just work on himself and not say he's not.
Starting point is 01:16:01 But hey, listen, good for him. Anybody trying to improve himself? That's the hardest thing. Apparently he sleeps in a hyperbaric therapy tube. How much does that cost? Google that lunchbox. A hyperbaric therapy tube. I bet it's more.
Starting point is 01:16:13 Oh, whatever mine. It's $35,000. They start at $35,000. Oh, nice. What do those do? Oh, no. Keep you young? It's like oxygen.
Starting point is 01:16:21 Yeah, I think. Am I was like, do you have one? No. No. But didn't Michael Jackson sleep in one? I don't know what Michael Jackson did. Yeah, we don't talk. Oh, sorry.
Starting point is 01:16:31 Never mind. Anything. Okay. Sorry. I mean, back when he was doing it, it was like really, really weird. They were playing Michael Jackson at a bar the other day and I was like, I don't even to look up. I was like, what are I supposed to do?
Starting point is 01:16:42 Everyone just gets awkward It's like the song's still good to me But I don't think I can like It's the thing It's the thing I used your It came on when I was working out And I used your
Starting point is 01:16:51 But Jackson 5 did And I said this is okay Jackson 5 is okay I didn't say it was okay I said everybody You gave me permission in my mind I said everybody can make their own mind up
Starting point is 01:17:00 About Jackson 5 But it's I felt like you gave you permission To make your own mind up Yeah and my mind was like Bobby says it's okay Tito didn't do anything Yeah what did Germain do
Starting point is 01:17:11 Right Right. So why take it out on them? Yeah, I don't know. So saw that. Our video producer, Eddie, has approached me and said he'd like to spill the tea, which is a new thing. And everybody looks up like they're about to get the tea filled on.
Starting point is 01:17:24 It's a new thing where someone wants to spread some gossip and just say it on the air. Well, that's how you say it anyway in life. Yeah, but it's a segment. These days, yeah. Right. But, I mean, you're spilling tea. So I've agreed to let Eddie spill the tea. Everybody gets a little nervous right now because it could be about them.
Starting point is 01:17:40 Let's spill the tea. Producer Eddie, who's the tea being spilled on? Today it's Lunchbox. Oh, come on. Here we go. Make something up. Go ahead. Look, and this is just like, this is a health PSA here.
Starting point is 01:17:54 Like, I don't, I'm not a doctor or anything, but I did read an article that there are 18 cases of measles going on in Oakland, California, and I saw pictures of it. And then I look over to my right, and Lunchbox's hand looks like he has the measles. So I don't know what it is But look at I sent everybody a picture And he just sent us a picture And there is something going on This is like a

Starting point is 01:18:37 I don't know what it is It just popped up How long have you had it? A couple days. Do you see it, though? Yeah, I see it now. I get it. Right here.
Starting point is 01:18:44 Right here. You said you had it a couple days. And I sit next to him, and so I've just kind of slowly been looking over to my right, me, like, hands are really close to me. Like, that looks like the measles to me. But it doesn't itch. But what is it? What do you think it is?
Starting point is 01:18:56 You're going to the doctor for that? Yeah. You plan on doing something about that one? No. You have a baby. You have to hold the baby. Yeah, but my baby doesn't have this. Yet.
Starting point is 01:19:04 Yet. Right. Like, I already had chicken pox. Yeah. So. And you had... Tuberculosis. And gout.
Starting point is 01:19:13 No, I never had gout. It was tuberculosis. And they itch? No. They don't itch. You can touch it. Mike D, look at that. Does that look like...
Starting point is 01:19:21 You look at it. Mike Dez got WebMD up. Does that look like Lunchbox has the measles? Oh, Mike, I can't look at those pictures. See, yeah. You look at his hand? No, he has Google image up. And he clicked measles and images and it is not pretty.
Starting point is 01:19:36 Yeah. It's something. Lunchbox. I wonder what it is. I didn't mean for this spill of tea to get real serious, but he may have some. In clinical? Yeah. No, I think I'm fine, guys.
Starting point is 01:19:46 Like, it doesn't look that bad. But something like that, no, it's spread over your hand. Something like that is a rash. Like, it's a cause of something like you're allergic to something. Oh, maybe I ate something that I'm allergic to. Detergent or you. You ate detergent? That avoid.
Starting point is 01:20:02 But then again, I took that picture yesterday, so I don't know how long that's. Well, let's all monitor. He said three days. And watch. And if by the end of the week it's not gone, we'll probably get some help in here. That was, let's spill the tea. There you go. Morgan number two, you sit next to lunchbox.
Starting point is 01:20:18 What do you think about that? Do you feel comfortable in touching it? Yeah. Like to shake and say? No, I don't want to touch it. I'm good. Oh, you guys are such sissies. Bobby Bonds.
Starting point is 01:20:30 Let me talk to Ashley in Virginia. Ashley. Hi, Bobby. What's happening? What do you want to say? I appreciate you. I appreciate you. So I just wanted to say that I absolutely loved the post show pre-show from yesterday.
Starting point is 01:20:45 Oh, let me say this. After we finish the show, sometimes, if we have time, we just turn the mics up. And yesterday we went off for like 45 minutes, just talking. And if you go and we load the show up every day from beginning to end. And yesterday, there was like 45 minutes of extra show. So wherever you listen to your podcasts, IHeartRadio, wherever you listen to it, just search Bobby Bone Show on demand. And yesterday, yeah, yesterday was pretty long.
Starting point is 01:21:04 How did you learn yesterday? Well, I learned that Bobby is typically very open whenever he takes his anxiety medicine. That's right. That's right. I feel like you should do a segment where you are on that medicine or do a recording talk to Amy. Yeah, well, can you imagine? No. You can hear all that in yesterday's show.
Starting point is 01:21:30 And again, subscribe to the Bobby Bone show, listen to the show after it's over. We do the post-show pre-show on most show days. Ashley, what are you doing in Virginia today? What's happened? So I am a high school health and PE teacher, and I'm just on my way to work. Well, I appreciate you working with the kids. That's quite the noble profession there. We appreciate that.
Starting point is 01:21:50 So thank you for calling. Thanks for listening. It's time for the good news. With lunchbox. Tell me something good. There was this lovely couple in Maine. They were out to dinner and joined their meal and they get the bill. it's $48 and they tell the waitress, hey, we need to speak to the manager.
Starting point is 01:22:07 And the waitress is like, oh, no, I'm getting fired. Something's going to happen. Manager goes over and the couple says, listen, we're going to leave a $2,000 tip. And we want it to be shared with everybody in the restaurant. So everybody got $140 bucks. Wow. And they didn't leave their name. Very generous.
Starting point is 01:22:25 Is that how you would have done it? Nope. I'd say if you say this to the paper, put my name in it. Oh, okay. That's good. Very generous. of them and good for them for looking out for the wait staff. It's a former waitstaff that just warms my heart, man.
Starting point is 01:22:37 If you're the waitress that waited on them, are you upset that they shared it with the whole restaurant and not just, the restaurant didn't help them? Well, you help them. That's an interesting question you bring up lunchbox. Are you upset? No, because you just made a great tip. On a $40 bill? $48.
Starting point is 01:22:54 She made $140. 48 bucks, right? You're making $9. Hopefully on that tip, 20% or so. Say you make $10. That's all you're making a $100 tip off that. You can't be upset because you just had a great tip. Now, is it bad luck?
Starting point is 01:23:10 Would a bit of you be like, man, I wish they were just giving it to me. I waited on them. No. A little bit of you as a human would have been like, man, that had been cool. But for the most part, you wouldn't have been upset, no. Oh, come on. It was never your money anyways. No, but a tip's never your money.
Starting point is 01:23:25 The fact that they're giving $2,000 and you're the one that waited on them, Sally at Section 5 didn't help them. So why is Sally getting $140 bucks? So maybe you should at least just get a little more. See, now you're thinking it. Now we're thinking. Oh, I think I was saying the whole 2000. Yeah, I am.
Starting point is 01:23:39 Well, no, my point is, if you're waiting on them, I get it. I get it. You're like, why are they giving it everybody else? Because Sally didn't do the same exact, but she got the exact amount. Yeah, ding, ding, ding. But everybody in the restaurant could have treated them wonderfully. We don't know what happened. I love that they were so generous.
Starting point is 01:23:51 If they had it to give, they gave it. But if I were the waiter, and I was, I'd be like, wait. Oh, Randy didn't do crap. Oh, gosh. Sandy and Randy. Yeah. All right. That's what it's all about right there.
Starting point is 01:24:03 That's a good story, though. That was Tell Me Something Good. Folks, it's your buddy and my... Mr. Bobby Bones. Let's go. Transmitting across America. This is the Bobby Bones show. That's right.
Starting point is 01:24:16 Now, here he is. Turn it up. I love Old Dominion, and so Trevor from Old Dominion came over to the house, and we talked last night for a bit on the podcast. It's interesting to hear their story and hear his story. Because he wrote a bunch of songs outside of Old Dominion. All the Old Dominion hit. but he wrote Better Dick 2 for the Bamperey, right?
Starting point is 01:24:37 And he said that Casey Musgraves actually sang the demo for that back in the day. Really? When they were pitching it around. Shane would produce a lot of the demos. Actually, Casey Musgraves sang that demo for us. That was before she had a record deal or anything. And I remember when he sent me the demo, I'm like, oh, my God. Like, we're going to have a hit for sure.
Starting point is 01:24:59 And then we still pitched that around all around town and couldn't get it cut. No, baby, we cut it. And then Bamparry cut it and it was a humongous match. Search Bobbycast. This podcast is so cool because, you know, he's an Old Dominion now. And I was like, what's up with that name? Like, did you worry that you would get sued? You know, you're old dominion and there's a school named that.
Starting point is 01:25:18 I sat there all day and tracked down somebody at the university and just asked people until I got to the right person. And I said, hey, we're this band. We've been operating under this name. We already have songs out. Is this an issue? And they said, no, as long as you don't use our logo, we're not worried about it. you're good.
Starting point is 01:25:33 So they were also going to be named this. You know, she'd go, what do you guys call? Sometimes we'd just be Matt Ramsey or whatever. And one time she was like,
Starting point is 01:25:40 oh, how do you want me to announce you? And Matt was like, fried eagle. She's like, ladies and gentlemen, fried eagle. So there you have it. Old Dominion was almost fried eagle.
Starting point is 01:25:51 I think old tire or something was another one. It's a good one. Search Bobbycast. And, you know, this dude wrote Sangria for Blake Shelton. He wrote Sangria. He wrote
Starting point is 01:26:02 Say You Do for Dirk's. Oh, really? That's a jam. Anyway, Trevor Rosen, it's the newest Bobbycast on IHartRadio, wherever you listen to podcasts. Check it out, man. It's such a good one. You know, my thing was, I had to ask them because I was messaging back and forth
Starting point is 01:26:19 with Matt Ramsey, the lead singer. And this song, One Man Band, I was like, hey, whoever's singing those harmonies, give him a raise. And he was like, well, that's not really how it works, Bobby. How it works is, we're a split five. I'm like, dude, I wasn't being literal. And I said, we'll give everybody a raise. And he goes, well, actually, we're pretty good on money.
Starting point is 01:26:35 And he was so, I thought, he thinks I'm the biggest idiot. Yeah, so what happened? Well, I asked him. I was like, did you? He knew I was kidding, right? Because on our end, we knew you were kidding and we all laughed about it. But it's funny, on your end, you think that we thought you were so serious. I felt like the biggest dutch because I thought Matt thinks I'm saying everybody in the band needs a raise.
Starting point is 01:26:52 I thought it was funny that like Matt was the boss that was paying us. But that's not the point. Check it out. It's the new Bobby cast. Oh, okay. I get it now. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:27:02 That's really funny. And I guess it does sometimes you just seem that way, but it's not what you were implying. But I'm sure they get that all the time. Yeah, he's the singer. Trevor's just like, ha ha ha. So anyway, check it. It's good. It's good.
Starting point is 01:27:17 It's good. It's good. New Bobby cast. Look Brian is so good on this show this season. And I love the guy anyway. Like two nights ago, this guy comes out, and he has holes in his boots. And I was there to see this. And now he got emotional watching.
Starting point is 01:27:32 Luke do it when it happened during the show. But then I'm watching on TV again and Luke's like, Colby, let me see your boots. And he has holes in it. And Luke takes his boots off and gives him to him. I swear to you as a listener of the show, that was not a TV thing. It would happen on TV, yes. It was not a TV thing. Like, Luke is just a good dude.
Starting point is 01:27:51 And I've now spent enough time with them to know that there's a good dude in real life and good dude on TV. But he's just a good dude. What size she were you, Colby? Wouldn't be a 12D. would it? Tell me whatever it fits. Well, I'm a 12D. I'll solve that little problem.
Starting point is 01:28:07 Those boots are made for walking to the next round and your whole line is going to the next round. I mean, it was definitely not for TV is the craziest thing. And I was watching again, and I'm crying all the time now. I don't know why. I started tearing up again. It's a good dude.
Starting point is 01:28:23 Take it from me. And those theater scenes where, are you sitting in the theater? Sometimes, sometimes out in the lobby talking with people, like if they just sucked. I would keep looking for you. Billy it, you know. And you never know what they're going to use. Like the first episode, I wasn't in it just a little bit.
Starting point is 01:28:38 I was in a little more last night. I think they're kind of warming it up. But it just depends. I'm all over the place. This kid, Walker Burroughs, he's like Harry Potter, like Red Hair, plays piano. I mean, I'm the fan club. He's just fantastic here. This is Walker Burroughs doing Elton John, your song.
Starting point is 01:28:57 Here you go. I hope you don't mind. I hope you don't mind. that I put down and worked. You know, they finally are in a theater with real microphones now, too. Yes. Before it was just the overheads.
Starting point is 01:29:11 Alejandro's awesome. Remember. He plays guitar. I was a little nervous last night because I told a girl don't do an original song. And I was on... Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 01:29:23 It's on my Instagram. I put the video. She was playing an original song. And my job is to go in and tell these people you should or shouldn't do this. And I'm like, don't do an original song. I know you want to do your original song, but you're a great singer
Starting point is 01:29:35 and you have to stand out during Hollywood. That's gutsy. I know. I was nervous. Because if she went out and bombed it, it wouldn't look good. But yeah, I was like... I love original music.
Starting point is 01:29:44 Like, that's part of what I do. And that's part of why she's here, too. Like, we love it. But it's got to be... Right now, it's got to be so perfect and so good. This is the difficulty of an original song, though, right here is that we don't know the song. We never heard the song.
Starting point is 01:29:57 We don't know what you're saying. We don't know the message. We don't know anything. So I'll leave you with that. All right. Good word. Thank you so much. All the dramatic music in the background.
Starting point is 01:30:06 Good work. And my point is everybody else is singing songs that people know and there's a bond to you hear it the first time and you're like, and you have to stand out in this Hollywood week. They'll just cut you. It's like, nah, next. And so she changed her song and it shows her on TV going, you know what I think I'm going to change my song.
Starting point is 01:30:21 And then she went out and sang Adele. She was so good and I'm glad she did. And finally I look smart. Finally. Finally. But anyway, that's good advice, Bobby. I get nervous, but I have to do it, right? Well, yeah, America's mentor.
Starting point is 01:30:41 Nobody wants my boots, so I just give them advice. No pressure. Yeah. It's up on my Instagram. I was fretting a little bit. I was like, man, if they, also, I probably give bad advice sometimes. I'm just hope they don't show it on TV. Oh, yeah?
Starting point is 01:30:54 I was picturing her going out there and singing her original. Like anyway? Whatever that Bobby guy said? What does he know? Here's a song I wrote. Well, yeah. Thanks everybody for, like, tweeting. They watch when people tweet nice stuff about me,
Starting point is 01:31:08 so I appreciate everybody tweeting during the show. A dog owner has successfully cloned her dog three times and plans to keep doing it so he'll live forever. Listen, that's not living forever. That dog is not living forever. It's not the same dog? No, no. But sort of, it looks like the dog, so you feel like it's the dog.
Starting point is 01:31:28 If that's the case, I'm okay with that, I guess. Who am I to judge it someone to clone a dog, right? Yeah. But don't act like it's a son. same dog. Yeah, yeah, yeah. If it makes you feel some comfort. Did she name it the same thing?
Starting point is 01:31:39 Cologne it. You know, take it to the taxidermist, whatever you want to do. A woman in Seattle could not handle the idea of her toy poodle dying, so she paid $50,000 to have him cloned. What? And it worked.
Starting point is 01:31:54 She got three identical copies of him and she says she plans to keep on making clone so he can live forever. Oh, wow. I'm looking at the dogs and they up. But she could Honestly, all those kind of little dogs, they look the same, she could go get one that's already born. She got too much money. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:32:11 Unless, yeah, she's just going into debt for something like this. She was a company called Vigin Pets in Texas. They'll clone a dog for $50,000 or a cat for $25,000. It's cheaper for a cat, huh? They were in the news last year when Barbara Streisand revealed she used them to clone a dog. Wow. Hey, listen, everybody can do what they want to do with their own money, right? You're not hurting anybody.
Starting point is 01:32:31 But it's just not the same dog. Right. I was on, I woke up a two this morning because I just woke up, thought it was already today. And I was looking at border collies. Don't know much. So, Lassie? Don't know much about border collies. But for some reason, I was on the border collie rescue page.
Starting point is 01:32:49 And I was looking at border collies. I don't know. Cute. I could see you with a border collie? I don't know. Could you? Chick magnet. Is it?
Starting point is 01:32:56 Isn't that the A&M mascot too? Lassie? Yes. Well, the border collie, yeah. Yeah. Don't know much about them, but I was reading that people will sometimes go and rent sheep because these dogs like to herd so much. I'll rent sheep and let their dogs herd the sheep in the backyard. Get out!
Starting point is 01:33:11 Yeah. Again, I don't know that a border collies for me. That's the dog I was drawn to this morning. I think when it had, do you know who is so good and loving with dogs? And do you know, they're friends of ours, but Abby Smires, Dan from Dan and Shea. Oh, yes. Dan and his wife, Abby. Rescue dogs all day long.
Starting point is 01:33:30 They saw a dog last week. I was watching her answer story. and she was like, we got to take it home, we got to go rescue it. And they had four dogs on the couch with him. It was Dan asleep on the couch,
Starting point is 01:33:38 Abby, and four dogs. And, I mean, they love them some dogs. Yes. And good for them because, like, Dan and Abby will go
Starting point is 01:33:46 and just, like, volunteer at the local, like, pet store here whenever they have animals out there. I love people with the passion. Yeah, I think that's really cool. What are you looking at over there?
Starting point is 01:33:54 I'm looking at border collies. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, and then you could get some sheep. I mean, it all goes together. And then they could hurt them. It's here that's their main thing.
Starting point is 01:34:05 There's probably pretty smart dogs. There's Scottish sheep dog. And there are dogs. What I've realized is I'm looking for a new dog. By the way, if you're new to the show, I had a dog for 15 years. About a year ago, my dog died. And it's really, it was really, really tough on me. But kind of back in the game, I need like a dating app for dogs.
Starting point is 01:34:21 Oh. Or I can sweat. I saw that that exist somewhere. I literally just saw that. That's so funny you say that. And I didn't click on it. But I saw a headline, so you're in luck. It exists.
Starting point is 01:34:30 There's pretty much any kind of. kind of rescue. If you're like, oh, I like that dog, you can find a rescue somewhere. It's just a matter of getting the dog to you. Right. You can go and, you know, and save the dog. So you can get on a list and wait until, that's what we, my kids are interested in a labradoodle. I didn't know for sure if we'd ever get one, but my friend that rescues dogs, I told her, took a few months. She's like, you're never going to believe what I just got a call about, and it's a laberdoodle. I got two texts here, back to back. And by the way, you can always text us, just text whatever your message is, to 26, 229.
Starting point is 01:35:01 That also spells Bobby. So if you want to write something, write it and send it to 26229. Standard message and data rates apply. This one says, border collies are super smart, awesome dog. The next one says, Bobby, no border collies. It just tells you, you have an opinion on this show? People. There's definitely another opinion out there.
Starting point is 01:35:21 I was telling Amy this morning in a moment of us just sitting talking. I was like, Amy, you really inspire me lately. Amy, I'm like, did we not have this coming? We did, man. Why? Because I just find it hard that I inspire you. Why? Because you, I don't inspire.
Starting point is 01:35:35 I don't know. I don't really feel like I inspire. But okay. You do. Especially you is like, you got it all. You got your, you got it. You inspire. You have your thing.
Starting point is 01:35:44 Like, I learn from you. Okay, well, I learned from you. And what happens with Amy, what's happened with her over the past, like, a year or so. Amy gives no craps anymore. And I love it about her. She's got kids now. She's tired. She's busy.
Starting point is 01:35:58 No time for that. She's awesome. She's like a working mom. and she just has gone, I don't care what people think more than she ever has. And I've always kind of had that feeling, but Amy's kind of re-inspired me with that.
Starting point is 01:36:08 She says, Amy just comes into work and goes, I am who I am, I don't care people think. People want to mom shame me, don't care, I do what to do. And so I told her this morning because we're having this, it's not even a controversy. I wanted to have like a birthday dinner
Starting point is 01:36:19 with like five people. Like the five people that I'm like closest to in my life. Not everybody comes. This is not, you know, socialist America where we all go, just, hey, come on. I was like maybe like the five people that I would feel wouldn't feel guilted into coming
Starting point is 01:36:33 because I don't want anyone to be like, we have to go to the party. So, and the listeners were just blowing me up. Like, can't believe that you wouldn't invite some people from the show. I don't hang out with, we have nine people on the show now. I don't hang out with everybody on the show all the time. And so I was like, Amy, you really inspire me. I'm just going to do what I want to do. It's my birthday.
Starting point is 01:36:54 The end. I don't get invited to all the girl parties. I don't get invited to lunchboxes and bachelor parties. we're all living our own our own deal. So I don't even know what you have, but that's the deal. Now it's what you literally. I want nobody to come that feels like they have to come. Okay.
Starting point is 01:37:10 For some reason, I'm always consumed with people feeling like they're putting themselves out for me. And I don't want anyone to feel that way. And so something like maybe just me. Maybe I'll just go to dinner by myself. Amy, you pay for it. And Amy, you just send up your credit card. and I'll pay for it. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:29 But, yeah. No moves have been made. But we're officially a week away, so I'm going to have to start making moves. But, I mean, I've just been chilling because also I'm like, you know what, I don't care. That's right. And I hope our listeners are here. I'm just kidding. I'm just kidding.
Starting point is 01:37:44 I'm a party at all. I was like, because I'm not, I've always been not a big birthday guy. Like, no party, no party. And Amy's like, we're having a party this year. I was like, okay. Yeah, like we do every year. I'm never really involved in that process, though. I know.
Starting point is 01:37:55 But, yeah, and I hope our listeners, you should have. You should have. You should have. Yeah, yeah, yeah. I hope our listeners hear that. And you just don't care anymore. Like, don't hurt, you know, be good to kids, be good to animals. Don't worry about what people think.
Starting point is 01:38:10 They don't, they're not even focused. You feel like people are focusing on you. They're not. They spend like two seconds with you and they're on to the next part of their life. So just handle your business. Like handle it and how you feel good and how you feel fulfilled and move on. Think about how much time you spend worry about other people's problems. very much. Really? Like, how much you're worried about the people of problems?
Starting point is 01:38:29 If you don't really know. Or not worried about your birthday. Yeah, well, you are because you're handling it. Anyway, yeah, I was talking to Amy this morning, like, before the show, and I was like, Amy, you really inspire me. She was like, how? I was like, you don't give a... You don't give any crabs anymore. So, yeah, so there's that. Anything you'd like to say, Amy. There's that. So now it's... So can we get you a dog for your birthday? Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:38:55 Oh, why? You have to pick out your own dog. I don't know. What? If I got you a dog, you wouldn't love it. I feel like Jesus is going to put dog in front of me and it's just going to be who it is. Oh. You know?
Starting point is 01:39:06 What if I'm the deliver? Yeah. You're absolutely right. Because I often argue that theory. People go, well, Jesus didn't mean for this to happen. I'm like, well, Jesus created these tools where this had happened. Yeah. I often argue that theory as well.
Starting point is 01:39:17 Like the guy that was stuck on the roof with the helicopter and it was flooding and he was praying to God. That's my girl's favorite joke from Jerry Clower. Mm-hmm. The first time I played the opera. I told my grandma's favorite joke because I like I love the grand old Opry mostly because my grandma
Starting point is 01:39:30 raised me to love the opera we would listen to it all the time and Jerry Clower one of my favorite old school comedians 60s and 70s that's what I'd say Mama's family
Starting point is 01:39:41 No dang it I just keep my mouth shut I'm over here just keep the mouth shut And I you know as a comedian or like me
Starting point is 01:39:49 a rough rough rough comedian you don't cover other people's jokes But the first time I did the opera, I said, I'm going to do a joke now because this would be a big deal to my grandma if she was alive. And I told her favorite joke from Jerry Clower. Do you hear a joke? Yes. That's a good one.
Starting point is 01:40:04 The problem is, I don't say it. I should brush up on it, but I can tell you the joke best I can. Okay. There was a big storm. I don't ever tell it right. There's a big storm. Is this how Jerry told it? It hasn't heard it in a while.
Starting point is 01:40:14 I should go back and listen to it. I'm paraphrasing a wonderful joke. There was a big storm. And the heavens were falling. This is water, water, water. and sheriff came over to the house He locked on the door He said hey man
Starting point is 01:40:28 You gotta go Floods coming Guy said I don't need to go Jesus is gonna take care of me He said all right Water started to rise a little bit Started to go in the front door
Starting point is 01:40:38 Started to go in through the living room Sheriff comes back up knocks on door He says hey man you gotta go The flood's coming He goes nope Jesus is gonna take care of me He guys is alright
Starting point is 01:40:49 Can't make him leave Goes again By this time the flood's all the way up In the whole bottom level of the house The guy's climbed up and he's up in the top level. And the sheriff's like, hey, man, you got to go. You got to get out of here. The water's not stopping.
