Starting point is 00:03:19 Book now. Again, Topshelfcountrycruise.com or 888-381-4420. The Bobby Bones, post-show, pre-show. We just finished Thursday's show. The big notes from today's Eddie's eye is humongous. I feel like it's getting bigger. Is it getting bigger? Yeah, I feel like it is as the day goes by. When do they say it's going to get better?
Starting point is 00:03:38 24 to 48 hours. I'll start seeing a, it gets smaller. Well, don't say why, because later on in the show, Amy plays a game to figure out exactly what's wrong with Eddie's eye, which is a fun game. Which is awesome for you guys. Yeah. You went to the doctor at what part of the day?
Starting point is 00:03:53 9 o'clock a.m. Well, I was reading a story about don't go to the doctor in the afternoon. Oh, why? They're tired. They're tired. And we forget doctors are humans, too. They're kind of over it. It's like judges. They say you don't want to be put in front of a judge in the afternoon because they're tired.
Starting point is 00:04:07 I found out something about this doctor that, oh, Bones, it would drive you nuts. I showed up at 9 and I said, can I just sneak in before everyone gets here? And I'll just see the doctor who's like, the doctor doesn't even get here until 11. Like, he will book appointments at 9 a.m. But sometimes he rolls in at 11, 1030. And I'm like, oh my gosh. Bones would be pissed. I don't yelp, I would yelp.
Starting point is 00:04:30 Amy, I don't yell. I don't get on and review people, but I would review, I would get on and give him a bad score. Well, I would think that that wouldn't be good for business. I said that he's like, he does it all the time. I'm like, and I waited until about like 9.45, and sure enough, he rolled in about 945. So you're there 9 to 9. Your appointment was a 9. Well, I wouldn't even point me.
Starting point is 00:04:47 It was a walk in right when they opened the door at 9. Well, you can't really complain then if you're a walk-in. But the fact that he does that? Yeah, that stinks. I have a pretty cool doctor. My main doctor's still in Austin. like my primary care physician, Dr. Lewis. But here in town, if I have something to go wrong,
Starting point is 00:05:01 I have, like, a, I don't know, secondary doctor? Sure. Yeah. And he is still in the reserves. He's been the military for a long time. He still goes back in the reserves. So he disappears for, like, once a month? Yeah, and he's, like, can't set appointments here, but he's awesome.
Starting point is 00:05:13 Wow. And I go in and, yeah, he's like, you, like, you want to tell him the truth because he's proud of you for being like, thank you for talking about your hemorrholy. I know that's tough. I, like, want to make him proud of me. That's cool. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:05:24 It says, anyway. Don't see your doctor in the afternoon. They say doctors know more about health and medicine, but they are human and prone to fatigue. So schedule your appointments in the morning before your doctor's energy starts to slump. And they're more likely not to order tests or prescribe unnecessary antibiotics.
Starting point is 00:05:42 Because you may go in there, maybe tired of them, people are like, just antibiotics. Yeah, yeah, just do this. Because, again, doctors are human beings. Pilots are human beings. People that we trust with our lives are human. You ever see the Chris Rock sketch, or the bit in the last special, where he's talking about police officers. And he's like, sometimes there'll be a cop, do something wrong.
Starting point is 00:06:04 They're like, ah, there's one bad apple. But he goes, you can't get a bad apple pilot. He didn't crash a plane and go, nah, that's just one bad apple. It's true. Or a doctor that messes up surgery, and you're like, you know what, just one bad apple. You ever see that bit? No, but it's funny. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:06:18 It's funny because it's true. Unless it's happening to you. You know what, too? This movie's coming out called Yesterday. Yeah, it looks so good. Amy, are you familiar with this premise? I'm not. So it's a Beatles-inspired movie.
Starting point is 00:06:33 The movies are a man who wakes up in a world, and the Beatles have never existed. Except he knows they really exist, and he knows all their songs. One guy. But nobody else in the whole world has ever heard of the Beatles. So he goes up and he's like, now he has all these song ideas. Like, hey Jude.
Starting point is 00:06:50 So he becomes an artist. Yeah, so he's like, he's going to do all the Beatles songs because nobody else knows them. Hey Jude. But this is Ed Sheeran in the movie. With the song, I do you have a suggestion. Hey dude. Hey dude.
Starting point is 00:07:01 Are you sure? Hey dude. He's right. That's better. So he's trying to go, no, no. Hey Jude. Yeah, that's funny. But Ed Sharon's like, no, no, no.
Starting point is 00:07:11 Why don't I hate dude? He's like, it doesn't make sense. And then the producer is like, yeah, that is funny. I mean, I would watch that. And I'm not even like a Super Beatles fan or anything. Do you like the beat? Where do you put the Beatles on your 1 through 10 scale? Oh, they're in the top.
Starting point is 00:07:24 top 10. Really? Ever? Of all? I don't think they're my top 10, but I mean, like, where do you put them?
Starting point is 00:07:29 I thought you meant of, like, really awesome amazing bands. They're not your top 10. I'm not as a, I'm not as musicy as y'all. We just caught you going cool rogue. No, no.
Starting point is 00:07:37 I'm not as musicy as y'all. No, but I was saying one through 10, like, where do you, like, what would you give them a score in your personal life? Because I don't think they're in your top 10 artists, Amy. You don't? No.
Starting point is 00:07:49 George Strait, Taylor Swift. Oh, we're going to do this? First of all, Give me your score of the Beatles on a one through 10. I mean, all their stuff is good. So, eight? The Baham, man. Little Nazek.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Okay, so let's do it. Amy's top ten at number one. We don't even know if I can give you top ten right now without really thinking about it. You're just rolling it out. Number one. George straight. You're not bound to this forever. They don't really have to be in order, right?
Starting point is 00:08:19 Kind of, but just what comes to mind, too. Oh, my gosh. Taylor Swift. Three. Indigo girls. People love Indigo girls. That's not your third favorite. I know.
Starting point is 00:08:31 I didn't know they were in order. Like, calm down. These are things that, like, I, music. No, but your third favorite. How many Indigo girls' girls' songs do you even know? That Galileo song is good. Yeah. Oh, boy.
Starting point is 00:08:42 She doesn't even know it. I probably would be able to sing it to you. And number three. Ooh. Ooh. God, Dirk's Bentley. Number four. Um, little big town
Starting point is 00:08:54 Number five Morgan Wall Whiskey Whiskey glasses Um Shh calm down Um We're not saying anything
Starting point is 00:09:07 Ed Sheeran Okay number six Sam Hunt I think she's just saying Oh have I said Garth Brooks yet? No Obviously Garth Brooks
Starting point is 00:09:16 Duh Um Ooh, Dixie Chicks. Oh, I'm surprised it's not up there higher. It probably is. I'm on the spot here. I mean, yeah. We're not calm and it's really messing you home.
Starting point is 00:09:33 And. Number nine. Oh, I'm still not even to tell you. Oh, if I said John Mayer? She's ran out of bands. John Mayer is amazing. That's all she thought of. She's out.
Starting point is 00:09:42 Okay. Justin Bieber. Yeah, good one. Thank you. Thank you. Yeah, Amy. Love that. Solid choices. Thank you.
Starting point is 00:09:55 Indigo girls in three. That's nostalgic. That's nostalgic for me. I've never been a worst early round draft pick for Amy ever. I started thinking of music I listened to with my sister. If you had to pick for the rest of your life to listen to Indigo Girls or Garth Brooks, what are you doing? Garth Brooks. Okay.
Starting point is 00:10:10 Thank you. Thank you for helping with that. I'd like for you to help me. Give me something else. No. The point was, how many can you rattle off that are your top ten? And the Beatles weren't in there. Because y'all made fun of me.
Starting point is 00:10:23 Okay. I tried that. Elton John. Oh, that's pretty solid. Eric Clapton. But Clapton more than even the freaking Mindigo girls. I agree. I agree.
Starting point is 00:10:34 Indigo has been like 39 on your left. I have no idea why they came to my mind that you wear. I also have an Elton John shirt that I wear. And, ooh, Led Zeppelin. Oh, yeah. You didn't put that one? Yeah, Zed Lepland. Oh my goodness
Starting point is 00:10:51 Yeah But she calls them Zed Lepland yet She still puts the Indigo Girls at 3 I'm never going to forget the fact that Amy just yelled at a band that she knows no songs from Just to be cool Indigo girls
Starting point is 00:11:02 What that was not to be cool Okay I'm going to pull up at Indigo Girls library And I'll sing all the words to Like favorite bands you should know I'm not like that I'm not like that with music Unless it's George Dray or Garth Brooks But Garthrox was a nine on your list
Starting point is 00:11:17 No, I told you from the beginning. These are not in order. Okay. Except for... When do you got any of the girls there? Well, I have two... There are only two songs in here. Okay. What is it?
Starting point is 00:11:26 Mm-hmm. Okay. I know it. I know it. I know it. I'm trying to tell you something about my life. Oh, God. In this misery.
Starting point is 00:11:41 She's just listening to words singing after it. I'll get to the chorus. I'll get to the chorus. Closer I am to find. What do you call it? Closer I am fine. Closer to find. Yeah, closer to find.
Starting point is 00:12:02 See? It went closer I am to find. Yeah, I know. It went closer to find. By the way, Amy's third favorite band of all time here. Yeah. The club. Get to the good part.
Starting point is 00:12:16 It should all be good. It's third favorite man. Big fan, huh? To the chopper. The chopper. To the chopper. Into the chaper. I reach all the mountains.
Starting point is 00:12:31 I can't none answer to each questions. In the direction. This sounds like lunchbox is doing a lose yourself. Ooh, M&M's another good one. Oh, sir, I am fine. What's the other one? You never heard this one? Hold on, please.
Starting point is 00:12:58 Coming to number three on the list this week. His favorites of all time. It's the Indigo Girls in Galileo. Galileo said what's on the line. You didn't know this one? Is there anything else? This isn't one of my favorites. Where's the other song that I know, like all the words.
Starting point is 00:13:15 Do you know this Indigo girl song? That's not Indigo Girls. Don't trick me. No. That's, um. Come on, Amy. And then pop to the bunch. Oh, what?
Starting point is 00:13:28 Coolio? Oh. Am I? Is that bug, is that about any other shot out what does? Oh my gosh, Tupac. Tupac is in my top ten. No, it's not. Yes, it is.
Starting point is 00:13:38 Indigo girls. Hohenegos is home in that three's bottom. Tupac is 100% in my top ten. Tune. Yeah, I don't remember who this is, but. Yeah. No, it's not Indigo Girls. You have a fan of them?
Starting point is 00:13:54 Incubis. Yeah. Oh, yeah, Inchibus. I have a fan of a couple of their songs. Yes. They have a really good one that I love. What's it called? Incabus.
Starting point is 00:14:01 That one. No. Incabus. No. It's the other one. This one's a good one. Maybe this is yours. Wrecking, wrick, fricking, fricking.
Starting point is 00:14:12 Pardon me while I... This one? No, that's not it. Hold on. It was on a mixed CD that my boyfriend in college gave to me. Oh, like, we're supposed to know that. Well, he used to introduce me to Incubus. Wish you were here.
Starting point is 00:14:26 Oh, I wish you were here. That's it. Yeah, this is the jam. Yes And you people that love this man They were good It was fine They just weren't for me
Starting point is 00:14:38 He's also who got me into John Mayer He was very into music I wish you were here I don't know that that was that I don't know Okay And he goes through all that And it's like
Starting point is 00:14:54 Nah Yeah yeah yeah I did Yeah because I don't know Who else? What else? What else you got? Dashboard Conventionals?
Starting point is 00:15:03 Well, I can't fetch it all. Oh, whatever. Are they in your top? 15? The number four. Dashboard. That might be the only one I know. No, it's not, actually.
Starting point is 00:15:23 Oh, is that right? Yeah, it's not. I don't think it is. I think you'll know. Ooh. Mace and puffy. Do you know? Do you know screaming?
Starting point is 00:15:34 No? You've heard the joke before. What has 500 legs and no pubes? We care? No. The line to a Dashport Confessional concert. Yeah, that's gross. It's not a good joke.
Starting point is 00:15:47 God, ew. It's not a good joke, but I've heard it. You know who Dashport kind of reminds me of? And not so much always sonically, but it's Panic of the Disco. Oh, yeah. Where it's one dude who creates a band around a name. And they wear leather and have good hair. They both are really good looking guys.
Starting point is 00:16:13 Like leather jackets. So a guy from Dashport was playing at a... to be funny and Franklin, Tennessee was playing at a real small pop-up store. Really? He had a show and he just went to plug the guitar and played inside of a little clothes store.
Starting point is 00:16:24 Yeah. But the panic guys, they just haven't panicked guys or the guy, Brandon Yuri. They just put out another song that's really good. Because they've had songs from like back of the day. They've been around forever. Yeah, they have.
Starting point is 00:16:47 That Hey, look, Ma' made it. It's like they're new. You know this one? Morgan number two, you know this one? This on the radio now. Sounds really, oh, yes. I work out to this song. It's a jam.
Starting point is 00:17:22 Yeah, this is a jam. Here you go. Here's the hook coming up. And they just keep on, man. I mean, the high hope song for Panic was so good. Remember that one? I mean, I got high, high hopes for the minute. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:17:58 I got her high, high hopes for the man. Yeah. Anyway, it's Amy's fifth favorite band. Panic. Yeah. Good stuff. Indigo girls at three. Right behind Indigo girls.
Starting point is 00:18:07 And I went to the doctor. I went to the chapel. I ran to the most. It's okay. We put you on the spot, Amy. Yeah, you did. But, I mean, had I been thinking I clearly would have put Tupac. I wouldn't go, all right, John Mayer, Garth Brooks, I don't know, Papa Roach.
Starting point is 00:18:27 I mean, it's just that I wouldn't go. Popper Roach. I wouldn't go random. I don't know why they were in my head. Don't mean. Why are you hating? Been two pieces. We're not hitting
Starting point is 00:18:36 when we're having fun. Yeah. No, no, we're laughing with you. What is art? Shut up. Is art art art? Shut up. Are we art?
Starting point is 00:18:43 Are we art? We're going to go, Amy, promote something? Oh, it's today Thursday? Boom. My new podcast is up today, officially. So right when you get done listening to this, hold the rest of the show.
Starting point is 00:18:55 And go listen to the Bobbycast. Then it'll activate and you can listen to the Bobbycast. And once you finish listening to that, then my podcast activates. Take a nap. Amy's fourth thing podcast today. what are the four things? Read them off for me. Progress instead of perfection.
Starting point is 00:19:08 And then I've got some motivational quotes I'm going to share. One of them is super cute. It comes from a three-year-old because, I mean, they're smarter than me. Enneagram wings, I have an expert on talking about that if you're into it. And then how to, like, get simple remedies that a hot shower will help with. Like, if you have ailments in your body, like, a hot shower could fix it instead of having to, like, go to the doctor or do something else. Right, check out four things with Amy Brown. There's Jada Marcus and the Rascal Flats
Starting point is 00:19:35 On the latest episode of the Bobbycast And soon, which we're going to record tonight It may be in a few days Judah from Judah and the Lion Will be on an episode of the Bobbycast Lunchbox, what do you want to promote? A sore losers podcast with Eddie Ramundo and myself will be talking sports
Starting point is 00:19:51 Eddie can be able to do it with your eye Yeah, okay good My voice isn't hurt My eyes hurt Yeah I didn't do it with you guys yesterday I was a little worried how that went Isn't it a little weird though
Starting point is 00:20:00 What? That Raymondo's name is still Ray Mundo? Yes. It was a bit. It was ridiculous. Where he comes in and go, his name's Ray. He's a white dude. Ray from Michigan. And he said that he was like 0.001% Hispanic on 23M. So he wants to now be called Ray Mundo. And now that's his name.
Starting point is 00:20:18 And now, seriously, people confuse us to because I'm Hispanic. So they just think, oh, well, that's Ramundo. And it's not fair to me. It isn't. So now... So now... We need to give you a white name. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:20:32 Well, Eddie's kind of white. Is it? Eduardo is my real name, but Eddie's just, yeah, a white name. Well, here's today's show. I appreciate you being here. Starting point is 00:25:00 Let me sit. I think what's happening, everybody. Good morning. Morning. Thursday. I tell you why I'm still like a nine years old because I was in town for a few days this week. Still I am. I'm going to head out for my final week of American Idol. But I come in and I make a few jars of my breakfast, like oatmeal slash Greek yogurt.
Starting point is 00:25:31 And I mix them in a jar and I make just enough. One for this day, one for that day, and one for that day. I make three jars. And I put them in the refrigerator. Then I go, you know what, I'm just going to have one right for like after dinner. Right. Why not? Why not? It's already ready.
Starting point is 00:25:45 There, I did the work. And so I eat it. I can't sleep. So I go, why don't I have another one? And so then I wake up this morning. I have no breakfast because I've eaten all three of the jars of. Your overnight oats? I have no, there's no moderation in my life.
Starting point is 00:26:00 It's either I go all the way or nothing with everything. This is just an example of I made them. I was going to have them each morning, just a little. breakfast, a little breakfast. Trying to stay thin. Got one more week doing this TV show. And I ate them all in one night.
Starting point is 00:26:12 I ate three jars of oatmeal. It's like oats inside of yogurt. My yogurt. Yeah. I have no breakfast this morning. So weird, because you're such a disciplined person, but yeah, when you fall off, you go hard.
Starting point is 00:26:25 Like three overnight oats in a row. I was like, you know, I have one. You know, I already had one. What's two going to hurt? Right. And then I'm so into it, I'm like, you know what? There's going to be no difference.
Starting point is 00:26:34 I've already gone too far. You might as well just go ahead. I just eat it all. And I did. So I woke up. I'm hungry. I've had half a banana breakfast this morning.
Starting point is 00:26:42 Okay. So if I'm cranky, it's because I'm, I'm hungry. I have an apple in my bag. You want it? Maybe later. I'll make it for you. Sometimes Mike D. will be cutting apples out there, and I walk by and be like, Hey, man, can I get one of those pears?
Starting point is 00:26:53 Yeah. I know. I know. Because Mike D, you're a vegan or vegetarian? Yeah, vegan. He's a vegan. So to him an apple's like a steak. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:02 Basically. He's like having a sarloying out there when I walk by. There's a story that, DC may soon allow residents to issue parking tickets to their neighbors. Wait, what? Yeah, my ID has this story. What is it? Yeah, so there's this new app that they're working on where you just take a picture of someone, like, in a parking violation, and they'll send them a ticket.
Starting point is 00:27:20 Okay. Okay, so you're a tattletail. You're rat, not your neighbors. That's what you're doing. I was thinking they had the ability to write you the ticket, but they're just tattling on you, and then the police officers or the parking people issue a ticket. But how do you feel about that? I mean, I guess I'm okay with it. It's just like, yeah.
Starting point is 00:27:41 I mean, they're doing something that's annoying. If they're not supposed to be parking there, then they should probably stop. But your instinct was tattletel. It is tattletel, but it doesn't mean I'm not okay with it. I mean, if someone was driving, this is an extreme case, but if I were to see someone driving drunk or something, I would call 911. Oh, Tattletel. I know. That's not a tattletel.
Starting point is 00:28:02 It's not a tattle. Much vice. Man, this is taking neighbor. to a whole new level. Let me tell you, if my neighbor turned me in, he would be getting eggs on his house. You wouldn't know, though. Oh, it doesn't say it's your neighbor that told you? No.
Starting point is 00:28:15 I didn't say. Yeah. That is, it's terrible. It's really setting a bad precedent. What's the precedent? That if someone does something wrong, they should be told? That's what I'm saying, like, we're out to get each other. Guys, have each other's back.
Starting point is 00:28:26 It's you against the man is holding you down by giving you parking tickets. You don't want parking tickets. Just go to your neighbor and be like, hey, man, I won't ever, you know, give you a ticket. If you don't give me a ticket, park however you. want? Well, the whole thing's allowing parking tickets to those people who are in bike lanes, crosswalks, bus lanes, fire hydrants. If you're doing it wrong, they'll just take a picture instead of it off. Anyway, I'm into it. Oh, man. They are doing it wrong. Fire hydrant literally at my house and sometimes I feel like I'm a little too close to it. One of my neighbors...
Starting point is 00:28:53 I would drive over there right now and take a picture. Yeah, they probably would. Mine would. Because you deserve time. I would recommend jail time, actually. You could kind of at least give your neighbors a warning. Nope. Leave them a note. Be like, I'm about to turn you in. Here's the Bobby Bones Show podcast highlight segment of the day. I'm sweeping the nation. What's wrong with Eddie's eye? Yay! So, is it on Facebook Live?
Starting point is 00:29:19 Yeah. Eddie came to the show yesterday. Just briefly, I was like, I got my eyes big. I was like, well, you need to go to the doctor. And you go to the doctor and the eye just continued to swell. They got bigger. It's hard to look at you. I don't see how you can see even out of your right eye.
Starting point is 00:29:32 I really don't. I focus out of my left. Well, Amy, you're going to be up. And even if you want to go touch it, you can. Oh, I don't. Yeah, you can. No, I don't, I'm good. Okay.
Starting point is 00:29:42 I mean, I guess unless touching it will help me understand what's really happening, like if there's something living in there. Well, you'd be able to feel it. Right. You will give her five choices. Yes. You'll see if you can guess, what's wrong with Eddie's eye. Okay. By the way, we have a contestant on the phone who you're playing for.
Starting point is 00:29:58 This is going to be Chris in Virginia. Hi, Chris. Hey, Bobby. Good morning. How are you? Good morning. If Amy gets the correct answer to what's wrong with Eddie's eye, You win a prize.
Starting point is 00:30:07 How did that make you sound or feel? I love it. All right, cool. Chris, where are you in Virginia? Richmond. Okay, Amy. See you when you come in October. That's right.
Starting point is 00:30:16 The Raging Idiots coming to Richmond. Tickets go on sale tomorrow. My daughter and I are coming. That's awesome. Tickets on sell tomorrow at Raging Idiots.com. Okay, here we go. Let's play. What's wrong with Eddie's eye?
Starting point is 00:30:28 All right. Eddie, you're going to give her five options? Yes. Five options. Why are you getting mad at Morgan number two? Well, because she's getting close. But we need to see the office. It's disgusting. Nobody wants to see this.
Starting point is 00:30:38 You should probably turn and just give them a, so they can see. So they can play. Oh, goodness. There, you happy? Good. All right, you want to five options? Option number one. It's pink eye.
Starting point is 00:30:52 Oh, pink eye. What do you think, Buns? You're looking at it. I already know the answer. I've had pink eye before. I don't know that I look like that. Number two. A spider bite. Oh, that would be so awful.
Starting point is 00:31:04 Like when I was sleeping. Number three. Three. Sinus infection. What? Is it? Okay. Number four.
Starting point is 00:31:14 Someone farted on my pillow. Okay. Came from Instagram, dude. I don't know. Well, don't give her the... Okay, so that's not it. Oh, dang it. And number five.
Starting point is 00:31:25 It's a sty. So it is giving you five options there, Amy. Easy options. I feel like I've had a sty and pink eye. Wow. Well, how rye? Can you say, guy? My, my, my.
Starting point is 00:31:38 I think I'll just fly. In the sky. Are you going to die? Hey, Chris. All your hopes are riding on Amy's shoulders right now. I know. It's on the line. She'll do fine.
Starting point is 00:31:52 Amy, what are you eliminating from that at the five? Somebody farted on your pillow. Oh, you're sure. Eddie, is that the answer? Did someone fart on your pillow? Amy, I'm sorry. It is not the answer. Okay, there you go.
Starting point is 00:32:04 Still in the game, Amy. Go ahead. I'm going to eliminate Pink Eye. Wow. She'll be eliminated pink eye. She's right. She's right. It's not pink eye.
Starting point is 00:32:11 Which leaves us with a stye in your eye, a sinus infection in your eye, and a spider bite. A spider bite. Amy, go ahead. It's not a sty in your eye. It's not a sty in your eye, Eddie. My oh my, my, it is not a sty in my eye. I knew it. Okay.
Starting point is 00:32:26 Okay, so I'm down to, I'm like narrowed it down to a spider bit you. Oh my gosh. A spider bite. A spider bit you. Or, what was the other one? Sinus infection. A sinus infection. Now hold on.
Starting point is 00:32:38 Here's the thing. Hey, Chris, if you win this, I will make, I'll get you and your daughter tickets to come see the raging idiots. Oh my gosh, this is pressure. Yeah. But if you don't. Don't let me down. Chris, hold on a minute. If you don't, I can't give them to you because. What?
Starting point is 00:32:53 But, Amy, wait. Well, I'll give them to them. No, you'll have any. I know. Because legal always tells me I can't give some people games when they lose not some people. Oh. So I just can't give them to him if he doesn't win. So it's, Chris, what would you say?
Starting point is 00:33:06 Would you, would you? Yeah, Chris, let's talk this out. Would you vote for Eddie to have a fart in your eye? No, no, no. A spider bit him or a sinus infection, which... A spider bit you, or a sinus infection. Both are weird. Weird.
Starting point is 00:33:22 Right. Chris, what do you think? It's got to be a sinus infection. Oh, really? Nobody gets a spider bite on their eye. Oh, well, have you seen it? No. No?
Starting point is 00:33:33 I'm on the radio. But Chris, well, I don't know if you saw his Instagram, but here's the deal. I mean, spiders, they bite everywhere. They're not like, oh, that's an eye. I'm not going to bite it. True. A good point. A spider ever does that crawls up and it's like, what is that?
Starting point is 00:33:47 Ooh, these are the testicles. Let me move up to the belly button. Don't want to bite those. You may need those later. What's the closest route to get up to a needle? I mean, a spider bite can happen anywhere. So, ugh. Let me ask a question.
Starting point is 00:34:01 Can I ask Chris something? Well, let me, go ahead. What do you do for living, Chris? He's a spider specialist. Not a spider specialist. I'm a chief operating officer. Okay, so, yeah, I didn't know if he knew. Right.
Starting point is 00:34:15 Arakneedine. Well, I didn't know if, you know, he knew, like, about sinus infections. Like, maybe he works for... Can you get a sign inspection in your ears or your eyes? I think so. Or your nose? I think you're in your ear. I think it's your whole system here.
Starting point is 00:34:30 All that stuff is connected, right? You tell me, Chris. What are you CEO of? Or CEO, or I can't remember. I think it's all connected. I think all. All that ears, nose, eyes, all that's connected. We're playing, what's wrong with Eddie's eye?
Starting point is 00:34:44 Did you go to an ear, nose, and throw a doctor? Nope. Can I tell her that? No. No. Wait, cover your eye. Did you? No.
Starting point is 00:34:53 Okay. I just want him to cover his eye because I don't want to look at it. I know it's gross. I get it. Okay, I mean. Amy, your answer here. What's wrong with Eddie's eye? I feel like the safe thing for me to do is go with what Chris thinks,
Starting point is 00:35:05 because then if I lose the tickets, it'll be like, well, Chris. I took your suggestion. Good point. But, I mean, my gut is telling me to go with the eddies. I got bit by a spider, which would be so crazy. And I would never be able to sleep in my bed again if that happened to me. What is your answer? Eddie got bit by a spider in his eye.
Starting point is 00:35:23 She says Eddie got bit by a spider in his eye. Now, Chris, this is all coming down to your tickets with your daughter to see the raging idiots in Richmond, Virginia. Tickets go until tomorrow, by the way. Ragingiddyids.com. What a great promo of time. Yeah. Eddie, I'm coming to you. You have a big old eye. Did a spider bite you in the eye for all the winnings?
Starting point is 00:35:48 Oh, did a spider bite me in the eye? No, a spider did not bite me in the eye. What happened? No. No. It's a sinus infection, Amy. No! No! Chris was right. It's all connected in there. No, I know it's connected, but has he seen your eye and I never knew that that could happen from a sinus infection? And now, Chris, I feel horrible. we have to figure out another game for Chris and his daughter. Or when they go on sale, Chris, I'll just get on and I'll buy tickets.
Starting point is 00:36:14 Oh, there we go. I have to get on and I have to buy tickets for you and your daughter, and I have to send them to you. Leave me your address, please. Why don't we just try to get Chris off for another game at some point? Okay. No, I can't even do that because I'll lose you that right back. Amy, you can't even buy tickets.
Starting point is 00:36:28 Like, legally you can't do that because, again, then everybody that doesn't win can complain that they didn't get Amy to buy them tickets. It's life. Sometimes you win. sometimes you lose But I lost For him Yeah
Starting point is 00:36:39 That's right And he gave you the answer too Chris I know I thought this was like Chris I'm very sorry buddy Chris I'm
Starting point is 00:36:46 Amy let me down That's all right Maybe next time Maybe next time Amy let me down Yeah I said Amy let me down
Starting point is 00:36:56 Oh Amy let me down Is there like a Constellation prize Amy let me down All right, Chris. Sorry, buddy, got to go. You can send him some of your hair.
Starting point is 00:37:13 Send him some Eddie's eye flakes. Yeah, I'm sure stuff will come out of it. All right, we got to come back. Ew. Listen. Amy, I'm very sorry that didn't work out for you. Chris, I'm very sorry that didn't work out for you. Try again.
Starting point is 00:37:25 Did you just hang up on him? I had to. What do you do? He just leave him on? He lost. If you go on Jeopardy and you lose, Alex Trebett, go, you know what? I must send you a check after the show today. No, of course, he does.
Starting point is 00:37:34 Okay, fine. I've done that so many times that I get in trouble. Okay, two things. One, the most watched finallas of all time. What do you think it is? The most watch finale of all time. We'll talk about that because Big Bang and Game of Thrones both happening as far as like series finale.
Starting point is 00:37:53 Also, somebody's trying to set me up. I'm going to tell you about who. Somebody I think that has a pretty good power to do so. Power? Yeah, actually. Are you interested or no? We can not do that. Oh, I'm interested.
Starting point is 00:38:05 Yeah, I want to know who it is, and then if you're going to actually go. If they do set me up, I will go for sure. Okay, that's coming up too. All that. Don't leave. And when my button works, we're going to hit this. I mean, we're in a temporary studio because others being built, but sometimes our buttons don't work. Come on, three, please, Lord is Bobby.

Then about a year ago he said, hey, I'm just going to walk to school every day. I'm going to change my diet up, I'm just going to walk. And he lost 115 pounds. Wow.
Starting point is 00:42:43 One day I looked in the mirror, and I was like, yeah, you've gone pretty far. You need to want to do it yourself. And each day is a new day. Come on. That's amazing. Just by making a small change, which turns into. to a medium change, which turns it to a big change. You know, our biggest success story about that
Starting point is 00:43:01 is Mike D, who's lost, as up today, how much way have you lost Mike D? 120 pounds. 120 pounds. Look at this guy. And I'm going to tell you, not a stubble, stomach staple, or a gastric band or anything like that. What you did was?
Starting point is 00:43:15 Exactly what this kid did. Start walking. And then walking led to? Eating better, and then eventually I was able to run a mile. And then running a mile led to? Running a marathon. Freaking run a marathon. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:43:27 Mike D's lost 115 pounds. 20. 120 pounds. He just upped his kid. Yeah. He probably only lost 115 until today and he's like 120. Yeah. You feel good though?
Starting point is 00:43:38 Do you feel like this is something to last your whole life? Yeah, I've never thought of it was going back to my old ways. I'm going to keep it off. My favorite Mike D part of this story is that once a year on Christmas. He does, what do you call it? My Purge Day. And eats whatever he wants, all he wants. And what do you usually have?
Starting point is 00:43:54 I usually have some kind of like pizza and then some kind of, I, or dessert that I don't eat. He lost 120 pounds. That's almost my weight. Yeah. He's almost lost one of me. Now, to be fair, I think I'm at 157 as of this morning. Okay.
Starting point is 00:44:09 But you set your goals high, you can lose one of me. Alright. Can you lose any more weight or do you want to? I don't think I can't. I mean, I probably could, but I feel good. Yeah? Yeah. I don't look at the scale anymore.
Starting point is 00:44:20 Ever. No? Look at this guy. Mike D. My hero. And I'm not even kidding. Like, that's a really awesome thing. awesome thing. I'm going to play Luke Combs when it rains of pores here on the Bobby Bone show. Glad everybody's waking up with us. Hope that story inspires you today. It's tiny, tiny

Starting point is 00:45:11 Oh wow. Well, thanks a lot. You know, our goal, and I always say is really just to make people feel like we're their buddies as they're either in their car, they have their phone listening to the show back on IHartRadio. And I'm glad that you call and you feel that way. Thank you. I also, I don't know if y'all remember or not, Amy might. But I actually was sick with cancer the past year and a half or two.
Starting point is 00:45:32 And I would listen to y'all show to get me to and from chemo. And Amy and Mary were so nice to, like, check up on me every Friday. And I got to meet you at your show in Charlottesville. And I think the other one was Richmond. But you all just really have become friends the past year, and I just really appreciate it. Of course I remember. I remember you coming back, you and a dude, right? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:45:54 Yeah, he was my boyfriend then, but now we're getting married next month. That's right. So cool. I remember you guys coming down backstage and hanging out before the show. Hey, listen, I hope that, and I hope other people hear this too and realize that we don't just talk to the game. Like, we really do feel like you're our friends too. And Jordan, glad that, because I believe when we saw each other last time, you said that you were better and on the road to recovery, right? Yeah, I'm cancer free now.
Starting point is 00:46:17 Look at this. So awesome. Come on. Yay. Yay. Hey, we love that. Hey, thank you so much for the call. And I appreciate you reaching out.
Starting point is 00:46:24 to us and sharing that story with this. No problem. Thank y'all. I appreciate y'all. All right. See you later. Bye, Dorden. All right. Bye. That's awesome. Hey, let's go over to Skylar and Virginia. Hey, Skylar.
Starting point is 00:46:34 Hey, Bobby. I was just calling to let you guys know that we listen to you every morning on the way to kindergarten. My five-year-old loves you guys. And what is... What's his name? It's a she. Her name is Bailey. Her name is Bailey?
Starting point is 00:46:54 Yeah. Well, can you tell Bailey we say hello, please? I sure will, and I'll let her listen to it later on Our Heart. Okay. Well, thank you very much, and thank you for waking up and calling us. Thank you so much. All right, see you later. Bye.

Lauren Elena shared on our show yesterday that she has a new man in her life. She revealed she's dating Christian comedian John Christ.
Starting point is 00:47:45 You can see the full interview up at bobby bones.com. I'm Morgan number two. That's your skinny. It's time for the good news. With Amy. Tell me something good. there's this dog at a shelter named Brad in Hawaii spent seven years at the shelter. Wow.
Starting point is 00:48:03 It did actually, or Brad did get to go out to a few different families that adopted him, but they kept having to return him because Brad had a lot of energy and needed a lot of space to run around and play. And when people took the dog home, they're like, oh, this is not the dog for us. So Brad would wind up back at the shelter while a couple was visiting from Michigan in Hawaii, met Brad, heard about his story, and they were like, oh my gosh, We live on tons of land in Michigan. We've got a barn and a huge yard.
Starting point is 00:48:30 So they are paying for all the costs to transport Brad from Hawaii to Michigan. And they're giving him a home. After seven years in the shelter. That's awesome. That's going to be like, what is happening? Yeah, I love it. That's awesome. That is a good one.
Starting point is 00:48:42 That was Tell Me Something Good. Bobbi Bone Show. Boney up the day. This story comes us from Alabama. Two men were in a house and they were having some drinks and they started arguing. Not sure what they were arguing about. One guy got mad because the guy didn't see his point of view. Went outside, lit the house on fire.
Starting point is 00:49:01 Oh, wow. And another guy got out okay, but the one guy was charged with arson. House burned down? House burned down, yes. And obviously, as you said, there was alcohol involved? Yeah, it was around 2 a.m. and alcohol was involved. Do you think when you drink that your natural self comes out? A little bit, yeah.
Starting point is 00:49:22 How do you feel about when somebody does something crazy like burns a house down? Is that their natural? just really an arsonist in their heart? No, I think it's something you've always wanted to do is burn something and you feel a little bit looser so you're like, oh, you know what, I can do it now. Sort of like when you've been drinking, you think, oh, I can jump over a car or jump over something
Starting point is 00:49:38 and you're like, you know what? You get more courage. So you're saying this person probably always wanted to burn something down. So secretly in their heart, they were a bit of an arsonist. They were a bit of an arsonist and they finally saw the opportunity. Like, I'm going for it. You ever do anything like that? I've burned stuff when I'm sober.
Starting point is 00:49:55 No, but I'm sorry. talking about you ever have anything when you've been drinking a bit and you're like, I've tried to climb some things. I'm like, I want to go up on top of that structure. Oh, so you're a climber in your heart. Oh, wow. Yeah. I did that one time. Let's see, what else I've... I mean, there's
Starting point is 00:50:09 plenty of times. I've done some stupid stuff. With women? Oh, with women. Yeah. Like, I'm going to go for that chick. And then, yeah. And then what? And then what? And then I realized, that's a bad idea. All right, there you have it. Yeah, I'm lunchbox. That's your bonehead story.
Starting point is 00:50:25 the day. Folks, it's your buddy and mine. Mr. Bobby Bones. Let me go. Transmitting across America. Hey, where were you in 1981? Probably chilling in my crib in Austin, Texas. Just born?
Starting point is 00:50:45 Like my baby crib. Yeah, not my house. Because you were born in that, 21? Yeah. All right, here we go, because... The Bobby Bones Show. On this day in... Country music.

Starting point is 00:55:49 this weekend there are two movies I want to see I still haven't seen Avengers endgame and John Wick three comes out Oh, wow, yeah. What are you going to do? Well, I'm going to try to go. I've been trying to go to a movie forever. But not both.
Starting point is 00:56:02 You'll be at the movie theater for like six hours. I know. Probably Avengers End Game. Yeah. If I'm still here on Friday night. Just because it's being almost spoiled all the time. Mike is the only one that seen Avengers in the Game? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:56:16 Somebody, Jada Marcus from Rascal Flats were talking about it. It said it was one of the best movies ever seen. Oh, wow. And I don't even think you have to be a nerd to love it. And I'm a nerd. But so that's coming out. But John Wick chapter 3, they say could end the reign of Avengers Endgame. So, they have two great movies.
Starting point is 00:56:31 And I was reading this story about movies, theaters, because I'm not a big theater guy. It's just kind of gross to me. And I like to sit in my house. I like to have my own food. I like to have my own germs. But in Switzerland, they're offering beds instead of chairs. No, that's gross. For home theater experiences.
Starting point is 00:56:48 But so, are there like sheets and stuff? A movie theater in Switzerland just launched what they're calling the first VIP bedrooms. cinema. I'm right. The cinema features 11 freshly made double beds to make the movie goer feel like they're in their own home. Oh, I guess if they're freshly made, you get a new fresh set of sheets every time? I would just go to sleep, though.
Starting point is 00:57:09 Yeah, I probably would too, especially because it's so dark. Wow, they're showing this. They are legit beds with legit pillows. I might just go get one to go take a nap. Yeah. Going to watch the favorite or whatever that movie was, the British movie, and just go to sleep. There's also
Starting point is 00:57:25 1950 to watch in their six non-VIP locations. But would you lay in a bed and watch a movie? I mean, yeah, if they change the sheets like that,
Starting point is 00:57:34 but you're right, I would probably fall asleep. Do you trust your hotels that change the sheets so every time? Yes, I do. I do. You don't?
Starting point is 00:57:41 What? So do you take your own? Sometimes I'll take, yes, I have a bag. Oh, I got you that. If I'm traveling and I have room for it, especially if I'm on a bus,
Starting point is 00:57:50 like a tour bus. But what I do, though, is I'm must a sheet with a little sharpie. I like the bottom corner, very bottom corner, and I'll see if they change them out even while I'm there because I'll ask for them to be changed. Oh, you do?
Starting point is 00:58:02 Oh, I don't expect it to be changed out while I'm there. No, when you get there. You go, hey, can I get a new set of sheets and a new comforter? That way, I make sure they're changed. Oh, I got you. I thought you meant like every night you like called if you're at a hotel multiple nights
Starting point is 00:58:16 and you're like, I need new sheets. Well, if you like pee the bed or spill something, you can. Oh, yeah. You know, who happens? You know, who knows? You know? It's my life. The Bobby Bone Show.
Starting point is 00:58:25 Amy has two kids. Your daughter's how old? 12. And your son is? Eight. And so you adopted them from an orphanage in Haiti. How long ago? Yeah, basically almost a year and a half ago.
Starting point is 00:58:34 They came to America. Does it seem like a lot longer than that? I don't know. It's a toss up between, like, I remember our lives without them, like it was yesterday, but also it seems like forever ago. And it also took you five years for the adoption process to go through. Yes. Which that seemed like forever. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:58:53 I mean, the start of that, it seems like so, so long ago. But, I mean, they're adjusting while they're doing great in school. They're learning. They're speaking English. They don't even, they used to talk to each other in Creel a lot. And now none of that goes on. They're both, my daughter, her English is getting, like, I'll say, oh, that looks so, those looks so great.
Starting point is 00:59:12 And she goes, no, they look fabulous. Like, you can tell she's learning new words. And so she's starting to implement them. And I like it. But then my son, like some stuff I realize I can't say to him because he takes it literally. Like, I was trying to tell him he was doing a good job with his homework. And I was like, hi-five, buddy.
Starting point is 00:59:29 Like, you're on fire. And he, like, literally was like, what? Like, he freaked out. He thought he was, like, on fire. Like, where? Like, stop, drop and roll. And I'm like, no, buddy. That's what you say to someone when, like, they're doing a good job.
Starting point is 00:59:41 And so, of course, now he picks up anything we say. So he starts telling you're on fire. That is why. And then there's sometimes, like, another example would be, I went for a run the other day because the last two weeks I've been a runner. But it's new to me again, and I'm trying to work back up. So it's been actually kind of difficult. And I came in and I was like out of breath.
Starting point is 01:00:01 And he was like, how was your run? And I was like, I think I'm going to die. And then he was like, Dad, Mom's going to die. Like he just, and I was like, no, no. It's just not literally, just figuratively. So that's kind of what we're dealing with. And I thought it's kind of cute, but I need to watch what I say. How are they doing in school?
Starting point is 01:00:22 They're doing great. I think they're doing really good. My son's having some issues with just like his attention with the teachers. It's one on one. So they're really getting a lot of that. So if you show like disrespect in the class, like you're the only student. So you're the cause. So for him, sometimes he gets very distracted and doesn't want to do what the teacher's saying and will sometimes be a little defiant about it, which is so weird coming from him. Like he's just like a fun, loving guy. But we've been so we're working through that. But other than that, they're progressing. Are they getting closer to being able to go to at school where they're on the same level as the kids that speak English? We think we'll continue this program through the fall and then in January, hopefully. We're so excited for that. But we want it to be fair for them. Like right now, if we were to just put them in, because we did a year at a normal school, and they just were not progressing. I guess we're just dealing.
Starting point is 01:01:15 We were at a major negative because not only did they not know any English, but the school they were even going to in Haiti, well, it was at the orphanage, which is great for what the orphanage needs. But coming to America, it's a whole other game. So we just got to get them caught up so that way they're not totally defeated when they get there
Starting point is 01:01:35 because they say that can really like affect their desire to learn. If they go in and they feel like they're the dumbest kids. Yes. Which won't be the case. Their skill set isn't with English. 100%. change the trajectory of their education if we don't settle them up for some sort of success in the beginning. And a lot of parents I know that adopt, they can actually do the homeschooling themselves
Starting point is 01:01:58 and get them caught up, but my husband and I both work and we can't do it. So this is a great program that we found, but we're so ready for them to like be around other kids and get in, like, we're kind of trying to do the sports thing and music thing, but it's still all on our own. We just don't have friends. Right. They really don't have friends. So that part's hard. kind of. Each other, but now they start to fight like brother and sister because they're not biological brother and sister. So they, you know, you know, you just want as a parent, you want to see your kids have friends. Here's Amy's pile of stories.
Starting point is 01:02:31 Wow, this story is so crazy. So there's a 63-year-old farmer in Nebraska and he was transferring a load of grain into a bin, but his leg got caught in this like long metal screw thing. And he had to cut off his own leg to save his life. Wow. Yeah. Had to do it himself? Yes. Okay, he was alone.
Starting point is 01:02:50 He didn't have his phone, so he had to use a pocket knife. Oh, my goodness. And it was just below the knee, he sawed it off. I didn't think of it. I stepped in the hopper in that little hole. It just sucked my leg in, and I was trying to pull it out. And when it first happened, I can remember telling myself, this ain't good. This is not good at all.
Starting point is 01:03:07 And I had my pocket knife, I thought, the only way I'm getting out of it is cut it off. It is what it is. Make the best of it is all you can do. It could have always been worse. I paid the price here of being in a hurry. and not paying attention. You got to wonder if he had lost all feeling in the leg. I think it'd be different if that were the case.
Starting point is 01:03:22 Right. You could actually do it. Yeah, like that 127 hours dude that had to cut his arm off. Yeah. Like, I feel like that he couldn't feel his arm anymore. Yeah, these stories make me cringe a little bit. I'm glad you told it. But let's move on to the next one.
Starting point is 01:03:35 Well, and he had such a positive attitude. Didn't you love that? It just makes you think if you're having a bad day and not that bad. True. Okay, so Jennifer Aniston is planning like a tell-all. memoir and I think that I would definitely be into that. Demi Moore is the one that inspired her to publish such a book and yeah, she's going to talk about it all.
Starting point is 01:03:57 Friends, Brad Pitt, all the things. Would you read the Jennifer Aniston Tell All? If they really told her you need to talk about friends in depth. Who'd you fight with? Well, she said that the tabloids. What's favorite episode? Magazines they've been talking about her for years so it's time for her to take control of the narrative and give her side.
Starting point is 01:04:15 Was Phoebe's twin really that nice in person when you worked with her? Get it because she's Stevie playing both parts. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Okay, so Vanna White and Pat Sejack, I saw this and I was like, what? They have worked together for 36 years, and apparently they've only gotten into one fight. And you know what it was about? Something trivial? Very trivial.
Starting point is 01:04:35 And then I want to know if we would agree on this. Okay, what to put on a hot dog, ketchup or mustard. But that's not a real fight. That's just a disagreement. Exactly. But that means they're saying they've never found. fought in 36 years? Well, they must not have a super, super close relationship then, because anybody you're super close with you eventually you fight with. The answer is mustard easily.
Starting point is 01:04:53 Oh, it's totally ketchup. Oh, you like ketchup on your hot dog? Yeah, and she's ketchup too and he's my, oh no. Get out of the studio. Get out of the studio right now. Oh, no. We're not really going to fight over it, but I'm ketchup all the way. I just don't like mustard that much. But it's not like there should be a fight. You just eat your hot dog your own way. I know. I just kind of thought, oh, wow. I thought that maybe she was going to give us like the real thing. Like one time we fought about this. But yeah, I guess they don't really have to interact besides her turning the level. letters? Well, you just wonder how close they are outside of the show. Because again, we wouldn't have to interact outside of the show if we didn't want to. Right. That's true.
Starting point is 01:05:23 We choose to hang out a lot. It'd be really hard to come on here every day though and be like, no, no interaction. It's actually pretty easy. You have all the interaction, and it's actually pretty easy. You just don't do middle. Right. You know what I mean? Because if it's none, you just come in, it's just a job. Okay. I know, but we had none. I wouldn't be able to come on here and like, just talk like we're friends. But there are some shows that they don't, they don't talk, They don't like each other. They don't care. They never care.
Starting point is 01:05:48 Sometimes they're in different rooms. Wow. Is that bad? It's that bad. And usually somebody gets cut. Usually that doesn't last. You just fire the person. One of the people get up getting fired.
Starting point is 01:05:57 Because you can't last forever like that. Yeah. Okay. Well, ketchup on hot dog. No, it's disgusting. No. Catch up. You're fired.
Starting point is 01:06:05 I mean, that's my file. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. Right here you go. A five. year old boy is credited with saving his mom. Her name's Nicole. She had an asthma attack, sent her to cardiac arrest. And she was able to call 911, but she couldn't speak because of
Starting point is 01:06:24 the asthma attack. So her son Mitchell, who's five, took the phone and said, hey, here's my address. And we need to get help to mom. A five-year-old knew the home address. Wow. That's prepared by the parents. Yes, very much so. Right. Paramedics say that the asthma patients are really difficult to resuscitate. And it's been a long, on recovery for her, but she's okay and really because he was five and he knew their address. It all comes down to that. He actually knew their address and where to get them to. Because eventually they can trace the call, but it takes a second. Yeah. Do your kids know your home address? I literally was just thinking that. I was like, I should ask them, see what they say.
Starting point is 01:07:02 I know they know every code to get into our house. Each one of our doors has a different code, and I'm always impressed that they know all of the numbers to get in. Well, if they don't know your address is probably because you haven't taught it to them. That's my problem. I'm like, well, I've taught them codes, they know how to get in, but I don't think I've ever been like, hey, in case of emergency. But I just feel like I get nervous, too, that they would just like get with some stranger and be like, this is where I live, take me into my house. I know all the codes.
Starting point is 01:07:25 I can get you in. That's funny. Well, listen, this story is awesome. A five-year-old saved his mom, knew the address, and good for the mom for teaching it to them. Yeah. That was Tell Me Something Good. The Bobby Bone Show is proud to be supported by Grand Canyon University, an affordable, private, nonprofit Christian university based in beautiful Phoenix, Arizona.

Starting point is 01:17:28 No. What do you call two worms in love? What is it? Soilmates. Soilmates. Like soulmates, but in the soil. And y'all are so close. That was the morning corny.
Starting point is 01:17:42 I thought heartworms is pretty good, though. I'm not going to love it. It was good. You know what? We lost our streak. Eddie, you did pretty good, though. You did pretty good, though. You're searching there.
Starting point is 01:17:50 Soil. Even with a bad eye, you did it pretty good. Thanks, Bose. Shit. Bobby Blum show. I'd like to speak on the culture we have right now, television watching, or just an American general. Well, if you don't like something, you just whine about it and you want it to be changed.
Starting point is 01:18:04 Whether it's TV, which I'm about to talk about, or election, or interception on the Super Bowl, I'll be like, oh, let's change the rules. This is stupid. And we'll become big babies. We're all big babies. Myself included sometimes. And I bring it out because now they're petitioning Game of Thrones to hire new writers and write the final season because they don't like what happened last episode.
Starting point is 01:18:23 Stop being a baby. Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it didn't need to happen. You liked it all the other times. Disgruntled Game of Thrones fans want HBO to redo season 8 with confident writers. Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. The dumbest thing. I have decided that's my favorite episode of Game of Thrones ever. I'm not going to spoil it.
Starting point is 01:18:43 Just because it made everybody so mad. Call me the contrarian if you must. but I love the episode and thought it was fantastic and I liked to get people talking these are the last five the biggest five finale of all time
Starting point is 01:18:56 So not the last five, the biggest. The biggest five. Okay. What do you think? Friends. Friends, you think Friends is the biggest series finale of all time? Oh, it's one of the five.
Starting point is 01:19:06 Yeah, what do you think the biggest is? MASH. What else? Keep going. Oh, um, what's that there's some crazy, Seinfeld? Okay, keep going. Oh, wow, I haven't.
Starting point is 01:19:16 Um, another big show Don't let me down Don't let me down Oh 30 me don't let me Don't let me don't let me down At number five is friends
Starting point is 01:19:29 Of all time With 52.5 million Which Friends finale was wonderful They all put their keys And moved down with their lives Number four was Seinfeld all time Which they all were in jail And it made no sense
Starting point is 01:19:49 And it was awesome That's why people were mad at that finale It was a perfect finale It didn't mean anything They're in like a little fake jail cell I'm like okay well D-N Number three It's 78 million people
Starting point is 01:20:01 The Fugitive Yeah 1969 So I was supposed to guess that The one-arm man It wasn't me It was the one-hour man Do you guys remember that?
Starting point is 01:20:13 No Not even from the movies or anything At number two with 84 million Cheers That's a good one And the final In the final episode, Diane returns after six years and rekindles her romance with Sam after they admit they have no one else. He decides to move to L.A. with her, but when the flight is delayed, they take it as a sign.
Starting point is 01:20:39 Diane goes back to L.A. alone and Sam returns to the bar. Dang. And then someone comes down and says like, hey, you open? You know, at the hole? Yep. And he's like, sorry, man. We're closed. And the biggest finale of all time is MASH.
Starting point is 01:20:54 at 105 million people. Now, first of all, massive show that ran for a long time, and also there was like one channel. Right. So that's pretty much what you watched. But yeah, it was a big one. That show ran from 11 years. Wow.
Starting point is 01:21:09 Not 11 seasons, 11 years. So it is considered by many to be the greatest episode of American television ever. And Game of Thrones finale and Big Bang Theory finale, both happening, which are massive shows. Now, the American Idol season finale is happening, but not serious. Thank God.
Starting point is 01:21:30 I thought about it. You'd be done. Oh, yeah. They announced that the show's coming back. I still haven't been told on coming back. But I did sign a two-year contract. I know everybody else is in negotiations because their deals were up. Mine is not.
Starting point is 01:21:43 So then you're good to go. I assume. But they could use you for whatever. Like, were you signed as a two-year mentor? Yes. Signed as a two-year mentor. But, yeah, that's it. So I assume I'm coming back.
Starting point is 01:21:55 But, yeah, Sunday night. When's the Big Bank there? Tonight. Oh, it's tonight? Oh, look that. I like that show. I like that show and reruns. I like that show and reruns.
Starting point is 01:22:07 I never have watched it, you know, episode to episode. And I used to think it was so dumb until I actually gave it a chance. And then I was like, oh, this is pretty funny. I've never seen an episode. You would like it. It would take a second and you would go, all right, what's up? These nerds, the hot girl. But then it's actually, there's a reason.
Starting point is 01:22:22 it's been on so long because it is good. So Big Bank Theory is ending too. Let's go to Brittany in Virginia. Brittany, you're on the show. What's happening with you? So I have been overseas for the last few years. My husband's military, and you guys were all we listened to when we lived in El Paso. And now that we are back, we are so excited that we get to listen to you guys again.
Starting point is 01:22:44 Oh, thank you very much. I appreciate that. And so where did you go when you're deployed? Well, it wasn't a deployment. It was just we got to stay. overseas so we were in Germany. How'd that go? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:22:57 Was that pretty fun or no? No, it was a good time. It was a good time. Definitely missed America. It's home. There's just so much sauerkraut? Yeah, and there's different types. They have, like, sweet ones that they put, like, apples in.
Starting point is 01:23:12 It's kind of weird. Oh, that one I can be into. That sounds good, yeah. That sounds like sweetcrow. Yeah, it's pretty good. Yeah. Well, hey, I appreciate you listening, and, you know, thank you guys, and I appreciate what you guys.
Starting point is 01:23:22 what you do for the country, man. We wouldn't be able to do what we do without you guys. No, well, thank you for keeping us staying. All right. Well, have a good day. And if you ever wanted Amy to play a game for you, I'd probably not. I know. Don't trust me.
Starting point is 01:23:35 I'm the worst. Amy let me down. Like the guy earlier was. You got to got tickets. Amy let me down. This is now your new song when you lose a game. Oh, great. Amy let me down.
Starting point is 01:23:52 Yeah. Who. Don't let me down. Break it down. There was a girl, her name was Amy. She was bad at all the gamies. Not all of them. Okay.
Starting point is 01:24:13 Just that one. I could have kept going more out of time. Yeah. I got all this. The series finale of Big Bang Theory tonight, you have the season finale of American Idol on Sunday. But do you ever have a finale of a show you just didn't like? You
Starting point is 01:28:19 were like, it did not like how that ended. Because for me, that people than like the Dexter ending, loved it. Thought it was a fantastic ending. I did not like the Roseanne ending where it turns out that it was all just her writing and none of that stuff really happened. But then they came back and they acted like, oh, never mind. Audible, none of that ever
Starting point is 01:28:39 happened whenever they brought the show back? Did you remember an ending you didn't like? I love the office ending. I thought it was fantastic. Not there yet, don't spoil it. We're almost beyond that. After 10 years, right? Yeah, I would think so. Okay, okay, okay.
Starting point is 01:28:53 Think about that. I may come back over to you in a second to find out what TV show ending that you didn't like, and maybe even one that you loved. Our number's 877-77 Bobby. Is he Taylor Swift eats in her sleep? No. She admitted that, that she just wakes up and goes and eats. Yeah, I mean, that's a thing, but I didn't know she had it.
Starting point is 01:29:13 Sleep eating. Yesterday on Ellen, she talked about how she wakes up in the morning to find her kitchen has been ransacked, but by her. I go downstairs and rummage through the kitchen and eat whatever I can find, And it's really less like a human being and more like a raccoon and a dumpster. Like the next morning, we just, we walked down the stone away, what happened here? And I don't remember. The two things that are dangerous about that.
Starting point is 01:29:36 One is you can fall down the stairs. Yeah. Two, you can eat poison. Maybe decide, hmm, the draino looks good. Like, that's not a thing. Also, I guess Taylor regrets calling at Joe Jonas on Ellen after Joe Jonas dumped her way back in the day. Probably when I, like, put Joe Jonas on blast on your show. That was too much.
Starting point is 01:29:56 Was it? Yeah. That was too much. Okay. I was 18. Yeah. We laugh about it now. Oh, that's good.
Starting point is 01:30:05 That was some mouthy. Yeah. Yeah. Just some teenage stuff there. There you go. Taylor and Joe Jonas. Yeah, I'm like trying to think of, I'm trying to remember this whole thing. It was, uh, oh, 11 years ago, huh?
Starting point is 01:30:19 Wow. Back when the office was on. Yeah. Let's spoil that for you. Do you guys find any endings of shows that you didn't like or did like? I'll give you the second to talk it now if you did or we can wait. Yeah, I mean, I remember because I kind of just watched it, it was Friday Night Lights.
Starting point is 01:30:34 You did or didn't like it? I didn't like it. And I feel like it's an unpopular opinion because it was people thought... Let's try to not spoil the ending. I'm not spoiling it. Okay, go ahead. I just thought something else would happen. It's almost like, you know, the last season you're like, oh, I already know what's going to happen.
Starting point is 01:30:47 And then it didn't happen, so I was disappointed. I'm just a lover of them not giving you what you want at the end of shows. because life doesn't tie up in a bow. And that's what they did, but I didn't like it. Amy? Well, I was trying to look through some shows that I loved, and a show I was obsessed with was Mad Men. And I just thought the whole last season was like,
Starting point is 01:31:06 mm, like, not as good. So I guess you could throw in that I didn't like love the finale. But it's just like, it was such an awesome show and great, great, great season after great season. And then the last season was just kind of like, they're like, we're giving up. Michelle and Iowa? Hi.
Starting point is 01:31:22 Hi. What show did you hate at the end? The finale. I hated the end of Gilmore Girls. Morgan number two raised her head up. Do you feel the same way? Oh, yeah. It was so bad. It didn't wrap up anything, and you were just sitting there waiting. Why do you guys want everything to have it? Because it's a finale wrap-up, right? I didn't even get to end it, and she got to do a redo when they came back with it a couple years ago. And then they fixed it then or no?
Starting point is 01:31:48 It was much better when she got to fix it herself. You feel good about that too? Yeah, I liked the next part. It gave me some finale to everything. One of the finalities that people don't like are the Sopranos. And I never watched the Sopranos, but it blacks out without giving an ending. Oh. Like they're all sitting in a bar or no, excuse me, a restaurant.
Starting point is 01:32:08 Because I've seen the ending a bunch, and then all the other rival people are in the same, and then it just blacks out. But that was one that people didn't like. Yeah, because you want closure, I would think. I love the how I met your mother ending. thought it was the greatest ending ever because he ended up with this other girl
Starting point is 01:32:27 I don't mind spoiling this one who cares oh really ended up with another girl that wasn't the main girl the whole time and then that girl dies and then he ends up with the main girl and she's like the stepmom to the kids
Starting point is 01:32:38 right lunchbox isn't that pretty accurate? Yeah it's pretty accurate the mom passes away and it's like ugh any end shows you didn't like lunchbox I didn't like how I made your mother that's where I was going I loved it
Starting point is 01:32:50 What didn't you like about it? I mean, I just, the whole time you're thinking, okay, we're going to finally the mom, it's going to be happy, they're going to show the family living together, and it's just like, oh, we got all the way to here to find out the mom died? All right, great. But they did end up together. And much like life, it never actually just goes right up the ladder.
Starting point is 01:33:08 It kind of goes up, you fall off a bit, you climb up a different ladder. Oh, here's a tree. Now I can get, it's all, I like those real life stuff. Let's go to, is it Kidder in North Dakota? You're on. Yes, it is. Good morning, Bob. Bobby Bone.
Starting point is 01:33:20 Good morning, kidder. What finale did you hate? Dexter. He gave his son to a serial killer. His sister dies, who she was in love with him. And then he goes off and lives in, I don't know, Oregon becomes a whatever. Comes like a logger. That's the dumbest ending ever.
Starting point is 01:33:42 Do I just love bad ending? Wait, wait, wait, I got a question. Yeah, Bobby loves them all. But he gave his kid to a serial killer. Oh, she's not. He was a serial killer. He was a killer. I mean, what's the difference?
Starting point is 01:33:55 He was too, but why would you give him to another one? You know she's a murder, and it was weird. I prefer, I guess I just prefer endings that people, I prefer non-perfect endings because life is a big non-perfect ending. You look at where you are now. It didn't happen perfectly, did it? No. I mean, maybe yours did Amy. No, I didn't.
Starting point is 01:34:17 Exactly. Thank you. All right. Do you think you didn't like Friday Night Lights just because you were sad it was over? Maybe. Maybe. I just felt like the last season, I was like, oh, I already know what's going to have it. I got it.
Starting point is 01:34:28 And then it didn't happen. So I was like, well, that's stupid. I would have written it differently. Okay. Well, write something before you said. Kind of like the Game of Thrones people. You would have written it differently, my bud. It's time for the good news.
Starting point is 01:34:40 With lunchbox. Tell me something good. There was this two-year-old boy in Kentucky. He's out in the front yard with his dad on Mother's Day. dad turns to go get some out of the garage, kid disappears. People are looking everywhere. Three days later, they're buying an old mine shaft
Starting point is 01:34:58 and they hear, a mine shaft. A faint cry. Isn't that one of the first places you would look if there's a mine shaft near you? Yeah. Yes. Yeah, go ahead. And they found him. He's doing well. He just has a little dehydration. Two-year-old boy survived three days in the wild.
Starting point is 01:35:16 Wow. I fell on a mine shaft. Well, I don't know if it's a He fell in. He was just over by the mine shaft. Wow. Yeah, I'd be like, all right, Chuck, where do we go today, find the kid? There is a mine shack. I guess it's a strip mine. I thought that's a mine shaft. I don't know the difference. Maybe a mine they'd already used and got everything out of.
Starting point is 01:35:35 But still a big hole. Well, listen, it's crazy they found him, though. Yeah. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. Back by Popular Demand. We bring in our first. friend lunchbox who can talk to people on the phone and within five pounds guess their
Starting point is 01:36:11 weight. I guess this all started back as a circus trick back in like the 1920s, but somehow he can do it by talking to people and I'm going to put Debbie on first. Hey Debbie, how are you? Hi, I'm good. How are you guys? I'm real good. Have you ever heard this segment before?
Starting point is 01:36:26 Yes, all the time. And aren't you like, what in the world is happening? Yeah, I don't know how he does it. Okay, so have you ever met lunchbox or have you met myself by any chance? No, I have not. Okay, so there's no friendship here. There's no secret relationship. Lunchbox, you'll get to ask her questions for 30 seconds.
Starting point is 01:36:43 When I cut you off, you must stop asking her questions. Yeah, yeah, I got it. And then he will guess your weight within five pounds. Debbie, are you ready? I am ready. Lunchbox, are you ready? No, I got to stand up. Stretch that back.
Starting point is 01:36:56 Debbie, where are you from? Hold on. Wait. I don't know. No, that's part of the question. No, usually you say where they're from. It gives me, I need a region of America. I did.
Starting point is 01:37:04 I said Texas. A region of the region. No, yeah. Does that matter to you? It factors into some things. Maybe the food. Interesting. There's only food in certain parts of the country. How old Debbie? Well, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, hold on a minute.
Starting point is 01:37:18 We're going to start the timer, and then from there you go. Hey, can you pull up a timer for me, please? I like to have a timer running over here. I got a timer in my head. No, I'm right. I know you do. All right, lunchbox, are you ready? Yeah.
Starting point is 01:37:30 All right, here we go. In three, two, one, and begin. Hey, Debbie, how old are you? I am 39. What's your biggest fear? My biggest fear? Heights. What is your favorite candy bar?
Starting point is 01:37:47 My favorite candy bar. Well, I don't eat a lot of candy bars, but I guess one of my go-to would be a Kit Kat. Okay. How tall are you? I am 5'8. How long have you been married? 15 years. What's your favorite color?
Starting point is 01:38:02 Blue. And how long... That's 10. We've run out of time there now. Amy, would you be able to guess her weight by those questions? No. Not at all. Would you like to take a shot to Amy before he does to see if you can do it?
Starting point is 01:38:14 No. No. I feel awkward guessing. You do? Yeah. Just go low. Amy, it's not that hard. How tall did she say she was again?
Starting point is 01:38:23 5-8, been married 15 years. She doesn't really eat candy. She likes to kick cat. 130 pounds. Okay, so that's your guess 130. Amy, you're wrong. Okay. Oh, wow.
Starting point is 01:38:33 Just like that. Debbie is Amy wrong? She is wrong. Okay, Amy's wrong. No. Lunchbox. Now, you can guess it within five pounds. It is your thing.
Starting point is 01:38:41 Yeah, she's been married for 15 years. She doesn't sound like she eats a lot of junk food. And, I mean, her favorite color is blue. That's easy. When you love blue, you weigh 163 pounds. He says 163. Debbie, what do you weigh? 161.
Starting point is 01:38:54 Yeah. Yeah. He does it again. He does it again, folks. Woo! I don't get it. Have a great day. And you know what?
Starting point is 01:39:04 Because you won the game. Go get a Kit Kat today reward yourself. I don't think she won though. She tried to fool you Oh Debbie do not get that Kit Kat you are punished. All right. Let's go to Kara in Louisiana. Kara, you're hearing this nonsense, right? Yes. Yes, and have you ever met us before? No. All right lunchbox will ask you questions for 30 seconds. He will guess your weight within five pounds What was her name? Okay. Is Facebook on him? Are you just shooting a video? Just shooting a video. Just a video. I was saying hi to Facebook. Sorry, I thought it was Facebook Live.
Starting point is 01:39:37 You know, Eddie's eye got Facebook Live. I don't. That's cool. All right, here we go. Are you ready? Yeah. I'm ready. Laura, where are you from? Baton Rouge. And how many times do you shower a day? One.
Starting point is 01:39:51 What kind of car do you drive? Accura. What do you do for a living? Cell insurance. How tall are you? Five-seven. And how often do you go to the drive-thru per week? What's your favorite fast food restaurant?
Starting point is 01:40:10 Taco Bell. Oh, she likes to run for the border. Okay. Yeah, she's from Baton Rouge. Sells that insurance, you know, so she knows health is kind of important. So within five pounds, can you guess this is Kara and Louisiana's weight? Yeah, you know what I mean? She's going to be a little bit lighter in our last caller because she's a little bit shorter.
Starting point is 01:40:32 She lives in Baton Rouge. Go ahead. I'm going to say 152. Baton Rouge 152. So is it within five pounds? Kara, what do you weigh? 149. Man. Yeah, I mean, I don't know.
Starting point is 01:40:53 I don't get it. It feels good to look good. Let's go to Jody in North Dakota. Jody, can you stump our boy lunchbox? I hope so. Well, it's a trick here where he can talk to people on the phone and guess their weight within five pounds. Just by talking to them. We've never met. Jody, have we met before?
Starting point is 01:41:10 No, we have not. All right. Have we ever exchanged DMs by any chance? Have we ever what? ever what exactly that's my point lunchbox are you ready to pay yeah jody Jody Jody from North Dakota North Dakota and Goody from North Dakota Jody

Starting point is 01:41:43 Coke? Yeah, like soda. What soda do you drink? I don't really drink pop. Okay. What is your favorite breakfast food? Protein shake. Okay, and how many times?
Starting point is 01:41:55 Wow. Sorry. Wow, wow, wow, wow. Okay. Wow. Let's just yelling at call her. Yeah. Answer faster.
Starting point is 01:42:04 I know for their regional definition of decarbonated beverage with sugar. Coke. Co. She's like soda? Yeah. She called it pop or something like that. Soda. I was going to say I don't like Coke is what my answer is going to be.
Starting point is 01:42:16 In some parts of the country, Coke is just a brand. Right. In the South, I Coke, I mean, any of them. I messed up. That was a bad question. And that's on me, Jody. I'm sorry, I got a little upset. You in your size 10 shoe, you wear a bra every day.
Starting point is 01:42:30 You like the protein shakes. Within five pounds, lunch vikes? Guys, she likes to work out. She knows what's up. She's got to be 144. He says 144. Within five pounds, Jody, what do you weigh? Oh, I don't like to work out.
Starting point is 01:42:43 But I weigh 148. What? You tricked me. I thought you liked to work out with those protein shakes, girl. That's what I'm talking about. Woo-hoo! Jody, get your protein shake, get to work, let's go. Okay, I'll do that.
Starting point is 01:42:59 All right. Yeah. Have fun in North Dakota today. Got some money to make. She's got to go skiing today. Have fun in North Dakota. She's going to go skiing. Yeah, it's cold up there.
Starting point is 01:43:08 Okay. All right. You guys don't know. The snow doesn't melt in North Dakota until July. Really? Is that right? That's right. have a coat or a pop, whatever.
Starting point is 01:43:17 And put your tennis rackets on your feet and good luck walking to work. Woo! No, they got cars. They got those snow tires. Okay. And May 16, I think they're okay. Should we check the weather? I've done to July.
Starting point is 01:43:31 I've been out there a few times. You can check the weather. Check it out. Three inches of snow yesterday, bro. They're in North Dakota. But still three inches is nothing to them. 47 degrees. Yeah, you're good.
Starting point is 01:43:40 Fargo. It's got to melt. They have a lot of accumulation. Have you guys ever been to? snowy place? All right. I'm not walking into his trap. Yeah, don't do that.
Starting point is 01:43:50 Lunchbox, by the way, three for three. Thank you. He did it again. He did it again. Everybody have a great day. We have one other caller that thinks she can stump you, though. Oh. Man. And I normally wouldn't put his game at risk.
Starting point is 01:44:04 Hold on. I work with these phones. No. Hold on. And we're in a different studio. I'm trying to learn this. This one. Okay, hold on.
Starting point is 01:44:11 Hey, Lisa and Alabama. Hey. Are you good? I'm good. How are you? I'm really good. They say that you may be able to stop lunchbox. You know, most people can't guess my weight until we'll see. And why do you think people can't guess your weight, or do you just want to hold that back for a minute? I'll hold that back for a minute. What's her name?
Starting point is 01:44:36 One more! Yeah! Lisa in Alabama. I'll take the jacket off because she said she's a challenge. All right. Lunchbox is wiping his face. He's slapping himself down on the chest. Okay. What's her name? Her name is, oh my God.
Starting point is 01:44:52 Third time. Lisa. Lisa. It's Liza. Sorry, I was stuck on Jody from North Dakota. I forget these names. Lisa from Alabama. We're in Alabama.
Starting point is 01:45:00 Go to your igloo, Jody. We'll see you tomorrow. Lisa. Are you ready, Lunchbox? Lisa, are you there? I'm here. All right. I was just making sure she was ignoring me there for a minute.
Starting point is 01:45:14 No, no. Not ignoring lunchbox. That's right. Don't do that. Hey, whenever you're ready, Bobby. Hey, Lisa, what's your favorite holiday? Christmas. How many times you've been to jail? None.
Starting point is 01:45:26 What's your favorite day of the week? Sunday. What did you have for dinner last night? Salad. What website do you go to most often? Oh, she's stalling, guys. Sorry. Wow.
Starting point is 01:45:48 I'm sorry. She was sort of answering and then it buzzed over, so I'm curious. No, it was. Ah, ooh. Him and Hall trying to avoid questions. Don't give your answer, Lisa. Sorry, I really wasn't. I was struggling to figure out which one I go to most.
Starting point is 01:46:01 Okay. Lunchbox. Yep. You have Lisa here on the phone. Lisa, what part of Alabama are you in? Southeast. My favorite of all the direction. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:46:13 And she's got a soft voice. She's never been to jail. She's trying to make me, you know, throw me off a little bit. I don't know if that's her real voice. Within five pounds, can you guess our weight, lunchbox? I'm going to go with one. He says 193. Genuine shock.
Starting point is 01:46:44 And they stay there! And they stay there! Look at this guy. He does it again, folks. It's going to be hot and humid down there in Alabama today. By the way, they said that yesterday in North Dakota it was 83 degrees. Dummy. Oh my fuck has no idea what he's talking about.
Starting point is 01:47:01 Maybe I had the wrong weather report. All right. You know they at Bumble? Yeah. They didn't get Bumble? Morgan number two, you're on Bumble, huh? Yeah, I am. Well, so I am not on the app, but I have a friend of a friend who works over there.
Starting point is 01:47:18 And she was like, oh, I'll hook you up. Just give credit to Bumble. And I was like, all right. And so she works for Bumble. She's like, I have like 10 friends. I don't know her. But if you... Oh, so the person that works at Bumble wants to set you up with her friends, not with someone from Bumble.
Starting point is 01:47:33 I don't know who they are. I was just like, have at it. You're the master. Yeah, I mean, they are. Right? But just because she works at Bumble... I believe it. I'm in.
Starting point is 01:47:41 Makes her good at... Okay. As setting people up, yeah. If you work in the corporate office of Pizza Hut, even if you don't make pizzas, I believe in your pepperoni. That's ridiculous. What, is it? Yes.
Starting point is 01:47:53 Like, what does she do at Bumble? Who cares? She may just do coding. You're crazy. Why, why? And I told her, I said, whoever it is that you find, I'll go out with. I trust that much. But is she, is it in her internal circle or she's going to Bumble?
Starting point is 01:48:10 Don't know. Or she has like back door like people that she can like see that she's like, You know what? I don't like talking about the back door, but full trust. We were at the airport at the same time in Los Angeles. And I was like, hey, she was like, what up? That's how it went? Hey, what up? Pretty much.
Starting point is 01:48:31 Paraphrase. Okay. And she was like, what's up? You're still single? And I was like, yeah, she goes, oh, let me help you. And I was like, well, you do work at Bumble. So you have at it. I said, anybody you set me up with, I'll go.
Starting point is 01:48:41 with once. Okay. Which I really haven't done that. I've been like, let me get a full background check on them first. That's the thing, too, about Bumble. It's like, they know how to screen and find things out that you'll never know. I don't know what she's, again, I don't even know what she does a Bumble. I'll be honest with you.
Starting point is 01:48:55 Graphic design. The answer's fun. This is Bumble. Thank you for calling. Are you single? Regardless, I'm going to let it rip. She works in the friendship department because Bumble has the friend thing, too. Do they have a work thing?
Starting point is 01:49:08 Yeah. They have like, yeah, different ways for you to just network. work and meet people. I'm going to join Bumble then. Boy, can you imagine what your wife was that? She'd hate it. Trust me. It's just for work.
Starting point is 01:49:18 Bobby told me all about it. He knows someone who's the cousin of a mailman who works at Bumble. Who's setting him up. Yeah, so I'm going to let that happen. How do you feel about that? I mean, I feel fine. I feel okay. I mean, I think that you could be honest.
Starting point is 01:49:30 I think, again, I don't know what she does at Bumble, but I see potential. Yeah, me too. And I was like, why not trust you? Why not? Yeah. Right. Let's go over and talk to Erica in Texas. Erica, hello, how are you?
Starting point is 01:49:43 Hi, good morning. Good, you good? I'm good, are you good? Yeah, what's happening? Oh, I just wanted to thank you so much for being positive every single day, no matter what happens through your life. You're just always so positive, and I absolutely love that. That's kind of how we started listening to your show and to the podcast,
Starting point is 01:50:00 so I just really want to thank you for being positive, and that trickles off to everyone. I appreciate that. Thank you very much. You know what I say is you can't control what happens to you, but you can kind of control how you feel and how you act whenever thing. And it's also not if something bad's going to happen to you. It's when and how you react to it. Because just ride the train of life long enough, choo-choo, something bad is going to happen.
Starting point is 01:50:24 But it's not, you know, if it's when it does, how do you react and how do you pick yourself up? I appreciate that. Thank you for the call. This is the story I was telling you guys about. Are you ready? Ready. These two people probably get married, right? They already have kids.
Starting point is 01:50:39 So he has a kid, she has a kid, and they're about to get married. Bride to be, due to marry in five days, discovers her fiancé's son has got her, the other guy, daughter pregnant. Oh. So they have two kids. Oh, they would be. So, Amy, okay. Let's assign me and you do this. Fine.
Starting point is 01:51:01 You and I are about to get married. I have a son and you have a daughter. Right. My son gets your daughter pregnant. Right. Well, we're about to get married. Dang. No, there's no sort of...
Starting point is 01:51:10 By the way, they're 16 and 15. Oh, my gosh. I thought they were like 30. 15 and 16. This just got real bad. What would you do? Wow. I thought they were like adults. Nope.
Starting point is 01:51:23 Wow. Now you've got teenagers that are about to be brother and sister that are having a baby, and that would make you... Well, complicated. Very complicated. Right. What do you think? If you're the mom and the dad, do you still get married?
Starting point is 01:51:40 Yeah. I mean, you can. Yes, you can. Yes, you can. You're not related. Around the room. Amy. I mean, because you can't keep them from, what if they're in love and eventually that's, they want to be together.
Starting point is 01:51:53 I mean, maybe they don't, but. I'm talking about the adults. Do the adults still get married if their kids are having kids with each other? Yeah. Yeah. I guess. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 01:52:05 They figure it out. I mean, it's just, you know, it's just. you know, it's 2019. Yeah, I don't think that has anything to do with this. I'm just kidding. I don't know. Anything goes.
Starting point is 01:52:16 I mean, yes. I mean, what? So now, now, because, you know, your teenagers couldn't. Keep it in their pants. Yeah. Then now who you're supposed to be with
Starting point is 01:52:27 that you're in love with and you want to get married to. I mean, the odds of the kids not working out is great. I don't know. They're always going to have a kid. Hey, Erica. I don't know.
Starting point is 01:52:37 Erica, are you still there? Are you listening? of this story? I am. I'm glad you're still on the phone. What do you think about this? Very odd. I don't know if I could go through with it or not. I'm not sure. You're saying no, you would not get married if you're the parents. So you're going to break up with me because our kids got
Starting point is 01:52:58 pregnant. Amy, this is not real life, so stop right now with that time. No, you just said this was us. So like, I'm trying to think if I was in a relationship, now I'm ruining it because of some teenagers. Our teenagers, our kids. Like our grandkids also going to be... We share a grandbaby with our... Let me think about this. So it would be our...
Starting point is 01:53:19 I know, really? It would be our double grandkids. Yes. Yeah. Yeah, she wouldn't have... The baby wouldn't have two sets of grandkids. No, just one. Actually, it keeps it kind of simple.
Starting point is 01:53:26 The tree is straight out. Hey, Christmas holidays? No branches. It's not even a log. The family log. Yeah, you don't have to go from house to house. You just go to one house for Christmas. Okay.
Starting point is 01:53:39 Right? I'm going to agree with you. Not for your... Good. We're not breaking up. Thank you. Myriad of reasons that you gave over there. I'm just going to say that these lives are all different. The parents can still be supportive parents, and if they love each other, the adult adults should still be able to get married. Right.
Starting point is 01:53:58 And just because now there's some relation due to marriage isn't relation due to blood. And there is a difference. There's definitely... Now, growing up, the child may have some... things to explain. I had double cousins, and I do have double cousins. Okay? Not exactly the same, but my mother and her sister married a set of brothers.
Starting point is 01:54:21 So as two sisters and two brothers marry each other. I have family log. Straight up log. So I'm okay with it, but it is tough. Lucy, you got some splaining to do. I love Lucy. This is my cool little kid reference. Ricky Ricardo.
Starting point is 01:54:43 My very contemporary comedic reference. Lunchbox, what do you think about this? Look, I got no problem with it. I got buddies that they would hook up with their step-sister because they're not... What? I'm not on his same side. Listen. I was talking about the parents.
Starting point is 01:54:59 Yeah, I don't have any problem with it. Who cares? Your kids are going to date. They can date. They're not related. It's like they go to the same high school. They could be interested in each other. I don't see the big deal at all.
Starting point is 01:55:09 Interesting. Thank you. I'm glad you guys are on my side. We're all on for different reasons. Yeah, it's different reasons. I mean, my half-brother and sister have a half-brother, no relation to all, but we were at Texas A&M at the exact same time and we would hang out and we would talk about how we could date. I mean, it would make our family dynamic weird.
Starting point is 01:55:28 Is that like the fantasy? Oh, my gosh. So did you guys ever date? No, we didn't because I don't think I could ever do that. I don't think I could ever kiss my half-brother and sister's half-brother. Like, you know, we don't share. Any blood, but like my... Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, your half brother and sister's half brother.
Starting point is 01:55:43 There's some blood. There's a quarter blood. No, there's not. No, no, no. My dad and his first wife had two kids. Then they got divorced and my dad had me with someone else. Well, his ex-wife got married, had someone else. Yeah, I don't know what's... All I know is if you have a kid, you're having a tail with them. All I know is that we both couldn't
Starting point is 01:56:01 ever do that. So, I don't think I'm capable, but... Erica? Yes. Your thoughts again? You're hearing all of this chatter? I'm so complicit. That is, I think it's all maybe I'm in this situation.
Starting point is 01:56:15 I wouldn't really know what to do. Then let's make it happen. Erica, let's get some kids. Let's have them have a baby. Erica, hey, thank you for calling. Thanks for being a part of the show. I'm glad you stayed on the phone and talked with us there.
Starting point is 01:56:26 Of course, absolutely. Have a good morning and afternoon, everyone. All right, bye, Erica. Does anyone think they shouldn't get married? If so... Oh, yeah, no way. Like, you're not thinking about the kid in this point. The kid's going to have to explain.
Starting point is 01:56:40 The kid's not ate anymore. You should be happy in your life too. But still, it's just like, oh, my grandmother died. Oh, is that on your mom's side or your dad's side? Well, both. No, they have separate grandma and grandpa. No, they don't. It's the same one.
Starting point is 01:56:53 The baby wouldn't. Yes, he would. No one. Because, listen, the son has a mom that is somewhere else. So she has a, she's grandma over here. And step grandma is, so she has two grandma. Now I'm really confused. I mean, you guys.
Starting point is 01:57:07 So many brands. He is right because the baby would have other grandparents. No, they would have other great grandparents. No, hold on, parents, great. Yes, the grandparents would be the same. No, no, no, because they're other parents. Oh, because it's a step. It's a step relationship.
Starting point is 01:57:25 So they'd have lots of grandparents. Dang. Yeah, they have a lot of super. Ants and uncles. Can you imagine all the presents at Christmas? All right, you've convinced me. It's okay. Okay, listen.
Starting point is 01:57:35 You go to our Facebook page and add your input to that story right there. I thought that's a fantastic little holiday story to share. On May 16th. I don't even... How you feel about this? In New York, they're going to ban you for texting and walking, and if they do catch you, you'll be fine $50 to $150. Wow, for texting and walking?
Starting point is 01:57:57 I guess New York is like the pedestrian situation's out of control. Like, if you're not paying attention to where you're going, you can cause all kinds of stuff. So, yeah, I get it. It's got to be more than New York. I mean, even myself, I've walked in a poll. Well, yeah, but that's your own fault. I guess they're trying to prevent you running into cars or people.
Starting point is 01:58:13 But most of us see people texting while they're crossing the streets. Right. Again, I've always thought we need two horns on our car. We need the big horn. Hey, idiot. And then we need the small horn. It's the little button you push. Where if someone who's at a red light looks down at their phone and they're texting or tweeting,
Starting point is 01:58:32 which I will do at a red light, only at a red light, you can go, hey, buddy, I've been there. You need to move on. The friendly horn. Yes. We need two horns in our cars. But if there's any danger, you shouldn't be texting. I'm okay with it.
Starting point is 01:58:44 I think we should just everywhere. Yeah. I mean, most states are going to go hand-free now. You can't even be on, even here, they're going to go hand-free where you can't be on the phone, period. Can't be holding it, can't be looking at it. It's got to be locked in because California is like that now, and they will pull you over quick. But lawmakers in New York, the big banning and texting and walking things, I guess is not all the way through yet. It's part of the way through.
Starting point is 01:59:06 the fines again would be up to 150 bucks. So I'm into it. Obviously it's becoming a thing because people are getting hurt. And everybody's on their phone all the time. I feel like in New York, like if you're visiting and you may be using your map to walk around, so you're going to have to be really careful. The thing, that's the problem for me too
Starting point is 01:59:25 is if I'm driving and I hit my GPS on my map and I like cheap on my phone and I have to hold the phone and kind of look at it. It's a thing. Because I don't want people thinking I'm texting and driving, but I am trying to look at my phone. and I don't have something that I hold my phone in my car.
Starting point is 01:59:39 Oh, you need to get one of those things that Uber drivers have. Do you have one? No. Okay, then. Did you see that Uber is allowing you to push the button that says, hey, don't talk? Oh, no.
Starting point is 01:59:49 But I feel like a lot of businesses need that. Massage. Uber just rolled out a new quiet mode where your driver won't talk to you. That's funny. You know, when Lauren Elena and John, Chris, were in yesterday, We were all pulling up our Uber ratings and mine was 4.82
Starting point is 02:00:08 and I got home and I was a little distraught about that. Why? Would you think you were 5.0? I'm a great ride. I feel like I get to the car and they call their friends like, Bobby's a great ride. This guy had, you won't believe it out.
Starting point is 02:00:21 I don't, I get in, if I have like a Starbucks I take it, I clean out the place. Sometimes I leave it better than it was when I got in. And then I still get a 4.82. That means some people are giving me low scores. I don't say anything. I go on quiet mode.
Starting point is 02:00:39 Well, whatever. Quiet mode on Uber's. I'm into it. Yeah, me too. My weird thing is when someone kind of knows, if they somewhat know me from the show or from Idol or dancing with the stars or whatever, they'll play the game where they go,
Starting point is 02:00:55 hey, man, or they come to my house, and they'll go, hey, what do you do? And I'll be like, oh, oh, boy. because I really don't want to have, I don't want to do a biography. I don't want to walk. Do you make it up? No.
Starting point is 02:01:08 But you have Uber drivers pick you up exactly at your address? Yeah, sometimes. Oh. Wait you down the block. You walk, really? What's the use of Uber if you're going to walk a block? Well, not a block, but it's the address two over. What about Uber eats?
Starting point is 02:01:23 You haven't delivered your neighbor and then go get it? No, but that's under a different name. You guys have, you don't do that? No. No. They just show up. Listen, they pick me up and they go, So what do you do?
Starting point is 02:01:34 My answer is, oh, I'm just an artist. Nice. Well, you are. Well, true. In many ways. They create a lot of things. I'm a creator. But I know they know.
Starting point is 02:01:46 And I also don't want to be, it's, you walk that fine line of being so douchy to be like, oh, I'm Bobby Bones. Duh. You didn't know that? It's just a, it puts me in a weird place. I just like to get in and be quiet. Put my headphones on. I do that sometimes. And just go.
Starting point is 02:02:01 Yeah. unless someone's like, hey, Bobby, a huge fan, or hey, listen to the show, I'm happy to talk all day then, because then it's acknowledged. Or someone will come up to me sometimes to go, don't I know you from something? And I know they know the show. And it's weird for me to go, yeah, I'm the guy in Bobby Bones. Because a couple times they haven't. And I'm like, no, I don't know who that is. I guess I have it wrong.
Starting point is 02:02:20 And then I'm like, oh, I'm very stupid. So I just play it. I just like, I never know what to do. I never know. That's already good, though. Well, you need to start walking down the street to have them pick you up. I don't... Whether you're in radio or you're on a platform or not.
Starting point is 02:02:36 Like, people, it's weird sometimes people know exactly where you live in case they want to find you again. The whole walking down the street thing is not good for me. When I was a kid, I wouldn't let people pick me up in my house. I was embarrassed in my house I lived in because we were very poor. This isn't about that. I know, but it just feels like that. When you would say that, it's, I would have them drop me off a block away from my house. I'd walk to my house.
Starting point is 02:02:55 Or I would walk down the road and be like, pick me up over here because I didn't want anyone knowing where I live because I was embarrassed of it. Okay, I get that. Yeah, I don't have that associated with it. I guess it's just a protection. Like, even with, we were talking to, like, if Morgan number two were to get in a newperer and be by herself and some guy be picking her up, like, I don't think she should have him drop her off exactly where she lives. Well, you guys are also small humans. Yeah. And girls.
Starting point is 02:03:18 And men can be like, oh, I want to get that girl. Me? You don't weigh that much more than me. Bull crap. I made me thin and in shape, but what do you weigh? I don't know. I haven't weighed myself a long time. Let's just go with like 125, 125.
Starting point is 02:03:33 I'm bigger than you. How tall are you? 5.6. You're 5.6 125? I'm 6 foot. I used to be 115, so I'm putting on size and you're decreasing. Can I count my high inch intending shoes? Or no, barefoot.
Starting point is 02:03:47 With shoes. 6.1. 6.1. In my Jordans, I'm 6'1. Because I have one pair of shoes that's so much taller than the rest of them. That's the air. And I wear them. I'm 6.1.
Starting point is 02:03:57 158. Okay. But really I'm six foot. What, be honest? I'm a friend that says, hey, kind of my wedding. And I'm like, a course. You're one of my dear friends. Why would I miss your wedding?
Starting point is 02:04:13 He goes, by the way, our wedding's in Mexico. And I was like, oh, I got to pay for that? And he's like, yeah, well, congratulations. And then I'm like, all right, I'll come. And then Amy tells me that I got to land in Mexico and drive an hour basically through the cartel. No, to the hotel. No, through the cartels. Through the hotel to the hotel.
Starting point is 02:04:31 Yeah. Which is not something I want to do. Yeah. They call it the transfer. I don't like that. What? From airport to hotel. Apparently, I got to get keystered and take it in.
Starting point is 02:04:43 I have to get this really big dude. Well, so. Nothing. I just realized what you were saying. Okay. One third of Americans think destination weddings are selfish. I just don't see it as that. I am that.
Starting point is 02:04:58 Oh, yeah? I'm not. Ish. Unless you want to pay for it. Otherwise, if I want to go see my dear friend get married, I got to fork over the cash to go. I don't know. I see it as an opportunity to take a vacation that you otherwise might not take and it ends up being a lot of fun. And they kind of host the party for you.
Starting point is 02:05:14 Host nothing. I got to pay to get there. Well, yeah, but you make it your vacation. 37. No, I don't want it to make it my vacation, though. You don't get to choose my vacation. Okay, then you don't want to go. 37% of Americans think it's selfish for couples to ask guests to use their money and vacation days on a destination wedding.
Starting point is 02:05:32 I'm with this. I'm in this one-third. I guess because I've been to one before and my whole family was invited and we used it as a vacation. And it's great. What if I go by myself? So much fun. If I go by myself and I'm with a bunch of couples, that's not fun. And I wasted vacation and money. I just have my experience. Money I could probably donate to puppies.
Starting point is 02:05:52 Yeah. I can you think about that. Put it that way. Okay. Well, stay home and donate your money to puppies. All right. What's going on? Amy, what's happening today?
Starting point is 02:05:59 I think I'm getting to meet a friend for a yoga class today, which is exciting. I feel like, what? My friend. Oh, my friend in my neighborhood. Oh, my friend in my neighbor. We do yoga at the studio in our neighborhood. But I'm more so excited about it. I mean, yeah, to hang out with a friend, but also I feel like I need the stretch.
Starting point is 02:06:21 Yeah. I feel like this is one of those classes because I haven't been in a while where I'm going to be like, oh, like every move. It's going to feel good. What about you? A couple things on the work side. Judah and the line. and Judah's coming over to the house to do a podcast. Oh, cool.
Starting point is 02:06:34 A bobby cast, yeah. So I don't know if that goes up today. We may wait a couple days, but he's going to come by. Also, Eddie and his big eye is coming over, and we got to start practicing and getting our show together. We have a show on Biloxi, Raging Idiot Show, and then our tour starts in about a month, the real tour. So we got to start practicing for that.
Starting point is 02:06:51 By the way, tickets go on and sell tomorrow for the tour. And our record comes out tomorrow, too. Big day.
