Starting point is 00:00:39 And Sean Clements. We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook. Each week, we talk to someone in show business and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman,
Starting point is 00:00:53 Adam Scott, Danny McBride, Ben Stillard, and a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the IHeartRadio app, podcast or wherever you get your podcasts. Our hometown is not a test tube. 90 miles northeast of Nashville, a battle for the future of America, plays out in one small town.
Starting point is 00:01:14 Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land. We need cities on a shining hill. This is Our Town, a podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment and fights back. I guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you?
Starting point is 00:01:30 Listen to Our Town, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. I'm Munga Chitigler, and I'm back with a new season of my podcast, Skyline Drive. This time I talked to scientists, biopunks, cremudgeons, blues owners, super seniors, and Goa's top cryotherapy lab to try to understand this obsession with living forever and what it means for all of us. And I get into a bit of trouble along the way. I'd say probably start bone smashing.
Starting point is 00:02:00 That doesn't work. To make it look more defined. They say it works. I don't know. Listen to Skyline Drive How to Live Forever on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I hit it.
Starting point is 00:02:12 Good. Thank you so much, man. I'm not going to be funny today, man. No, you got to be. You got to be funny. You got to lift up your hearts, lift up your spirits, lift up everything. Because in times like this and this, people need us to be funny.
Starting point is 00:02:29 I will say the greatest sunrise I have seen in the last couple months was the morning that Dolly died. Oh, I didn't realize that. I didn't know that. I didn't know she died, but I did see the sunrise and I captured it and I'll put it on our Instagram. Wow. So maybe it was like a sign? You're saying like she was shining it from above? The second nicest sunset rise? Yeah. The day after she passed. Oh. Now my question is, what is nicer? The sunrise or the sunset?
Starting point is 00:03:03 sunset hands down when I was on the west side. Now that I'm in the country, the sun rise because you have the due. I don't have exact same view, but view-wise from my vantage point, it was disgusting the sunset. The sunrise, I didn't even have a view of, but I go sunset. This is a tough one for me because like if you're at a body of water, a lake, a beach, when that sun glistens off the water and kind of is fading away at night, it is so freaking amazing. So amazing.
Starting point is 00:03:40 The look of it, the feel of it, the stillness of everything. But when you're up early in the morning and there is no one else around, it is so quiet, you have the lake, the land, the city to yourself, that's pretty unbelievable. Because so many more people are up at sunset as opposed to sunrise. Like if you want to go sunrise, if you take a little floaty out to the water, you are the only one on that water. It's so peaceful at sunrise.
Starting point is 00:04:17 Yeah, and sunrise, I would say people are in their houses. So they experience it just not at a beach, whereas sunset, they're actually feeling the warmth of the dolly. Now, I do agree with that. More people just walk out in their backyard or they're sitting in their front window having a cup of coffee or they're getting the kids ready for school. They're rushing around getting ready for work. So it's not as relaxing. But, man, I do like me a sunrise. And I'll tell you what, sunrise used to be cool because that means you stayed up all night partying.
Starting point is 00:04:52 And now I'm like, I don't do that. Like I remember times like in Vegas and walking out and being. being like, holy crap, the sun is coming up. I got to go to bed. Never did it in Vegas. The two times I can remember, one time I stayed up all night watching Big Brother Live feeds. And then the other time was Billy, went partying with him in Austin, 6th Street, then went to
Starting point is 00:05:20 some club that they couldn't even serve alcohol. Dude, been there, been there, the after hour club. It was so awesome. We thought that was the. cool is it stayed open till four or five man and then we went back to his place in the west lake hills and he's got a hot tub pool and saw the sun coming up and i had to get subway before nfl sunday but those are the two times that definitely remember that no i remember one time we were in vegas you were with me we were at a club and it was like an indoor outdoor club it may have been at encore or
Starting point is 00:05:55 win, I think it was on core, and the sun was coming up and you go, oh my God, I got to go. My flight leaves in two hours. And you bailed out of that club and I was like, well, I guess if you're leaving, I guess I'm leaving. So I went back and slept. I don't know why you had the early flight, but you were, the sun was coming up and we were at the club. I may need to do this when I go to Vegas.
Starting point is 00:06:19 You can just find a club. We were waiting in the water. Yes. it was awesome dude how do I find that this time so I know that we weren't it's not like you have to swim there were girls in their bikinis
Starting point is 00:06:37 but everybody was just chilling you would just take off your shoes and you would just put your little toes in the water that's awesome I'm 99% sure that was at encore but I don't know the name of the club how did we ever find that place because I swear I've been back there 10 times and I've never been to a club where you could wade in water. It was awesome, dude.
Starting point is 00:06:59 And it's sort of like the one at the wind had the waterfall and everything. That one was so freaking cool too. Like, I don't understand why that is so cool, but it was so cool because it was an indoor, outdoor club. And the one we were at, I think it was called hide. That might be it. But they had the windows open. So the DJ was like right in the middle between the inside and the outside.
Starting point is 00:07:23 Dude, it was awesome. Most recent club in Vegas, I went to Hockasson. Yeah. But I was just on the outside. I knew the guy from Big Brother. He was one of the dudes. He was like a club host. Ah.
Starting point is 00:07:42 It was James Rhine. Don't know, man. Before your time. Before my time. And I'm like, James. James. James, what's up? Dude, big fan, big brother.
Starting point is 00:07:53 James. what I didn't realize is that doesn't really get you in the club. Oh. He doesn't care that you know him from a TV show. Was he good on Big Brother? Did he go a long way? Or was he just kind of a dude? So in Big Brother 6, I want to say, he was huge.
Starting point is 00:08:08 It was him, Janelle, and Howie. And they were a crowd. And Janelle's the one that's like, bye, bye, bitches. Get a life raft. Got it. Get a life vest. Hilarious. They were a great crew.
Starting point is 00:08:18 So he was so famous on that one. He was with Kzar. Then they put him on All-Stars. and he was a flop. Oh, no. He goes on all-stars. And Will Kirby's hilarious. He's like, you guys voted James Rhine as an all-star?
Starting point is 00:08:33 He couldn't even beat Erica with a broken leg at a game of golf. I mean, just ripping on the guy the whole time. He just didn't show up. But it was almost like he came off a big brother, the one before it, so he kind of had those alliances already built in. They put him in the next season or the season after. He was all-stars. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:51 But he wasn't an all-star. It's interesting because they brought, like this season, a big brother has been fantastic, by the way. Absolutely fantastic. Best season I've seen. So much fun. Chaos all the time. But they brought some guy back this last year to host the head of household competition.
Starting point is 00:09:10 He was on back-to-back seasons. And he got second place both seasons. I don't know his name. Never seen the guy. But I was like, that's pretty impressive to go back-to-back and get second both times. But yeah. It was probably one of the nerdy guys. It looked like kind of a rocker.
Starting point is 00:09:26 Really? Yeah. Was it Jace? Some of those old school people were the best, hands down. Maybe this season is epic. Well, I mean, it's probably not epic compared to what the old season were. Because the old seasons that they show clips of, there's a lot of fighting and arguing this season. At least it's not just vote with the house and just go with the flow.
Starting point is 00:09:47 People are being crazy and voting random ways and switching votes. and I'm enjoying that, but there's no meanness. There's no mean, like hard cutdowns or anything like that. But yeah, last Vegas club experience, sorry to pivot slash segue. James Ryan, I'm yelling at him outside of Hacasson. Bayser's already back in the room asleep. And I saw a couple pro golfers there. That was also the same weekend.
Starting point is 00:10:09 I saw Alan Iverson. Atlin Iverson? That's a new guy. AI. Got it. The old AI, not the new one people talk about. He was AI before AI was cool. And he's still AI.
Starting point is 00:10:19 Yeah. He's my AI. But that's the closest I got into a club was just outside of it. Yeah, I used to go when I went the one time and I saw LeBron and Richard Lewis and all the NBA All-Star Dream Team
Starting point is 00:10:33 whatever Olympic team. They were training in Vegas and they were at the club inside the wind and I was in there with them and I was yelling what up. And I did have a drink of tequila with Richard Lewis from Houston, Texas. If I was to do one good dinner in Vegas, what one would you recommend?
Starting point is 00:10:51 Your friends crap. Best friend. That one. That place is delicious. Because Bezer goes, hey, she's starting to plan some outfits. Hey, so should I bring three dresses for dinners? I said, hey, let's be real. We're going to be there however many nights.
Starting point is 00:11:04 What do we do? One nice dinner and then we just grab pizza and burgers and pork missiles the other days. Correct. So we're doing one good dinner while we're there. We did no boo before. Have you ever done best friends? No. I can count on one hand the really nice meals I've had.
Starting point is 00:11:21 Then make a reservation, park MGM, and when they sit you down, I don't know how much you guys eat. I eat a lot. Like that meal, I will not eat lunch so I can be ready for that dinner. And you just tell them, I'll take what the chef recommends. And they bring you course after course, after course. It is so freaking good. Would I like it? Do you like good food?
Starting point is 00:11:47 I mean, I like pork missiles and pizza. Well, I like pork missiles and nuts. meets pizza, but when you want to spoil yourself, you've got to get a nice meal. And that is a fantastic meal. If I like Zah, would I like it? Don't know what Zah is. Pizza. Oh, my God.
Starting point is 00:12:06 You're an idiot. We got to start the show. We have to start it. That was a great one. You set me up so well for that. I was like, Zah, what's Zah? We're going to do it live. We are the one.
Starting point is 00:12:21 Three. Soor losers. What up, everybody. I am Lunchbox. I know the most about sports. I'll give you the sports. Facts. My sports opinions.
Starting point is 00:12:31 Because I pretty much a sports genius. Y'all Sisson from the North Alpha Mail. Live on the north side of Nashville with Bayser, my wife, two acres, two kids that are eggs at Vanderbilt. Justin on a dingy on Gunn Lake actually at a casino. He's probably never even been on the boat. Doesn't even look like it runs. It's in a shed on his brother's property.
Starting point is 00:12:48 More on that later. I'm sure if I get it. any more information on it. I'll let you know. We're about 130 days out from the sore losers convention in National Tennessee, brought to you by Freeland Chevrolet. And without any further ado, a moment of silence for Dolly Parton. How do I know you're not going to put the commercial there? I'm not going to because we didn't say the magic words,
Starting point is 00:13:21 but I want to say that coming to work today, riding my bike in, something happened to me, man. I got downstairs and I opened the, glass doors and there's this guy sitting there and I don't know what he has in his hand and kind of and I go to the elevator and I open the elevator and I'm about to press what floor he goes oh hold the elevator hold the elevator I'm like okay cool they say not to do that the company memos I I know and I messed up I messed up ray because he got on the elevator and I was like oh what floor are you trying to go to he goes I are I heart and I'm like
Starting point is 00:14:02 You all of a sudden hide your bob No I hit floor seven And he kept trying to hit floor six And he's like How come and well let me go to eye heart and I'm I don't know man I work on the floor above There's only lawyers up there I know but once I'm on the elevator with him
Starting point is 00:14:24 I am like what do I do I can't hit floor six Because then he's going to get out of the elevator at floor six. I have a private practice. I'm a lawyer. Yeah, hey, man. And I have my bike.
Starting point is 00:14:36 So it's going to take me, I can't just zap in and get in the door and close it real quick. I have to open the door, roll my bike in. You know he's coming in right after me. I don't know what he's trying to do. And I was like, oh, yeah, you worked there? And he's like, no, no, I'm just trying to drop something off for the station. I was like, oh, yeah, which station goes? Hip-hop station.
Starting point is 00:14:58 I was like, oh, that's cool, man. I've never been on that floor. Seven. And it goes up. He's like, man, it won't light up. Wait, ours or his? The ours will not light up. I know, but does the fake floor light up?
Starting point is 00:15:12 The fake floor lights up. Just so I know. Yes, it lights up. No problem. So I get out, it goes to seven ding and I wheel my bike out. And I was like, hey man, are you getting on me? He goes, no, I'm going to try to get back down there. somebody else is going to have to deal with him and I was like all right man good luck to you
Starting point is 00:15:32 and I had to bring my bike down the stairwell because I was not going to hit the elevator again and him still be on the elevator riding up and down you would have been screwed too because there's no front desk person exactly it would have been my responsibility to kind to communicate with this guy the only ones I get her drunk chicks well she wasn't he wasn't drunk and he was not you know he just had it kind of looked like a C-Sys case like a you know how those old binders but it was a small one so just like one cd per sleeve it wasn't like a whole book and he had it on him and I was just like why did I not think hey man you work on floor seven where are you going I just open the elevator because you're in that awkward moment like
Starting point is 00:16:17 oh hold the elevator hold the elevator are you really going to just close it I think you did perfect because they act like that in the company emails they say hey guys never open the elevator for somebody else. Okay, you can't slam in their face or they're literally going to put us on Instagram with a video and it's going to cancel us. Right. You can't slam a door on a woman's face. Sorry, I don't see a fob, lady.
Starting point is 00:16:40 Like, none of us can do that. I know, I have no idea who works on the floor above us. No idea. So it would be very rude to me to assume that that guy doesn't work on floor seven. You could have left the bike up there, but then the lawyers would have to deal with it. Yeah, I'm just leaving in the hallway. That would, dude, smart thinking, though.
Starting point is 00:16:58 I would have went basement and been like, oh, I'd got to go down here real quick. I don't know if I'd have thought to go. But I'm in the elevator on floor one. I know. I know, but I'm familiar with basement. Those other floors I'm not really familiar with, so I don't even know if I would have thought to hit those. I for sure wouldn't hit ours, though, because once you get on ours, you're screwed. They're coming in with you.
Starting point is 00:17:20 You know what I should have. I should have done one of the parking garage levels. Yep. I didn't think about that. was just like, uh, uh, uh, seven. He rode the elevator with me and I was like, all right, man. Uh, just checked with him. He's still on the elevator riding it.
Starting point is 00:17:37 So if you see a random guy walking around the office, I did not let him on the elevator. That's on me. Well, in some of these new people, you don't even know. Do you remember the guy that sat behind me, kind of a cooler dude? Yeah. With sales and he was just observing. Yeah. Randomly, random me in the hall the other day talking stocks with me.
Starting point is 00:17:55 He's like, hey, man. I saw you like to do you were looking at some stock prices I like stocks cool dude and I'm like okay now I see your face he's actually really tall I was like you were sitting behind me and then he's with another blonde chick who works here and they were eating at capital grill the other day and I almost hit him with my car really yeah and I'm like oh so that chick works here too and that was the guy that I met that one day okay let them in the elevator like what if we were to block them in the elevator. That's a good second impression. Hey, sorry, they say
Starting point is 00:18:30 no. You force it shut, closes on the girl's arm. Her white dress gets caught in it, ripped off. Gets a grease stain right on the back. I mean, how bad would you feel? I just thought I was helping some guy get to work on time, and it turns out he was trying to show up at the radio
Starting point is 00:18:45 station. But he for he for sure didn't have anything because he couldn't hit the number. Right. He never got to six, though. Hey, man, I'd love to further your career. Let me take it for you. Hey, let me, let me help you out, man. I've worked, can I come in? No, you can't come in. I mean, oh my gosh. Pretty ambitious, though. He's inspired by Dolly. That might have been it. Maybe he, it was a sign like he's not going to wait around any longer.
Starting point is 00:19:09 Life is too short. I bet there's a lot of people out there inspired by Dolly. For sure. She does, she did a lot of amazing things, man. Do you see? I mean, they're throwing flowers at her walk of fame star. They got throwing flowers at her hotel that's about to open down there. Oh, she has a hotel that's opening? Yeah, it looks like a unicorn. When did I see it? I guess when I was with BJ and David and Beazer and we were walking around, we're over by Miranda Lamberts in that area.
Starting point is 00:19:35 Did you see how many people were driving by her house? That one got creepy to me. That was a little weird. I'm like, guys, we don't need to be driving by her house. Like the posting of the video is like, yeah, I get it. You got clout. You found her house. Cool.
Starting point is 00:19:49 But then, like, traffic was stopping and letting people cross the road. and go to her front gate. Can we get some cops out there? Yeah, we need to, like, if you're a neighbor, you know what I mean? I understand you live next to Dolly, so you're probably okay. But at that point, it seems to be going too far. Just showing up at her house, like. Bro, there was traffic in both directions.
Starting point is 00:20:13 No honking? People were politely letting, oh, get out of the car. Yes, please go place your teddy bear by her gate. It's her private gate. leave her residence alone. Go to the Hall of Fame. Go to her music label. You know what?
Starting point is 00:20:29 Go to Music Row and drop some pink tulips. Go to Do not go to her house. I think that's when you cross the line. And then commenters, hey, DM me the address. Hey, can you drop the address? Like, guys, that's not getting closer to Dolly. That's creeping people out that are a part of her estate. They're going to have to put up a sign that says no trespassment.
Starting point is 00:20:54 Because one person is going to cross that gate. You know there's always going to be one person that says, oh, leaving it at the gate is not enough. I'm going to leave it at the front door. And then, oh, everybody thinks they're going to be able to go to the front door. And then someone's going to say, oh, the front door is not good enough. Let me go inside. Well, and now that I have seen it, there are various houses living in this area that people always say,
Starting point is 00:21:15 that's Dolly's house. Oh, that's Dolly's house. Nope, it never was. So now that I see what her actual house was, the times I've been given a tour, or friends have said, oh yes, that's Dolly's house. Oh, that, that's Alan Jackson's place on Tom Ford Lake. Guys, most of the time people say that crap, it ain't even in their house. They've moved around 10 times.
Starting point is 00:21:36 Yeah, when we first moved here, this guy that used to do the pod with us, he told me, oh, that's Dolly Parton's house. And so when my parents came to visit, we were just driving around. And I was like, oh, we're right there's Dolly's house. And so they took a picture of Dolly's house. wasn't her else. So I'm one of those guys. We'll take a break. We'll be right back.

Starting point is 00:23:32 Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman, not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this?
Starting point is 00:24:00 How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip the script? What is the surprise woman? Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott. This entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to the, visit the show. I would never
Starting point is 00:24:22 let go of that. I have. I would never set expectations for something like that to happen. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride,
Starting point is 00:24:34 fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, I was like, is that weed? Nope, it's fragile masculinity. Man Stiller, no. Because a lot of times out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is.
Starting point is 00:24:53 You know what I mean? They're like, oh, what's just a state. Everyone's so dumb except for you. And fake. Right, fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy.
Starting point is 00:25:15 Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcast. or wherever you get your podcasts. Our town is small taters by most standards, right? But to the people who grew up here, it's everything. What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America? Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area. The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia. But they weren't just planning houses.
Starting point is 00:25:44 We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and in bulk. the Christian way of life. Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment. God need men to rule. Great. And decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell your bull-h-h-h-hob. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here.
Starting point is 00:26:10 Our hometown is not a test tube. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to Our Town on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Dude, let me tell you about my week so far. It's been amazing. I don't know what you've done when you get off work, but I'll tell you what I've done. I've sat in a tire shop.
Starting point is 00:26:38 You know where that would not happen? Freeland, Chevrolet! They also do bike tires. Well, no. I get home from work on Monday, and my wife is like, oh, I think I got to nail her something in my tire because the uh the low tire pressure light is on in my car i'm like don't worry about it i'll take it up to the tire shop get it patched get it fixed whatever we need to do i will be the hero i will get this done and i drive up to the tire shop and i wait for like an hour and a half
Starting point is 00:27:10 two hours because good god a tire shop is the busiest place on the planet there is always someone needing a tire so if you want to get rich Open a tire shop. That is where the money is at. My God, the line was so long, people sitting all over that lobby. One guy watching his phone with no headphones, whatever he's watching, the sound is blaring. It's like, dude, can you go outside at least? Pro tip.
Starting point is 00:27:39 You can do an appointment online. You don't go in person anymore. Yeah, pro tip. Monday is when she found the nail or whatever in her tire. So did you want me to wait a day or two? For an appointment? Yeah, she's got still waits. Nobody just goes to a lobby without checking in.
Starting point is 00:27:57 Well, I did go online and try to make an appointment. They said there was no more appointments available today, but we do take drop-ins. Oh, the drop-ins are the worst, man, because that's when they can hit you with that three-hour thing. Otherwise, they feel obligated. Once you have that appointment, they're like, oh, we better hustle him around. Correct. And so I sit there and sit there and sit there. And it was like, oh, great, man.
Starting point is 00:28:20 people coming and going, I'm here to pick up my car. Okay, what's your last name? Oh, hold on. I can't find the keys. Got to go out there. They find the keys. They give the cars. They tell me, oh, yeah, it'll be, you know, hour and a half, two hours. Are you going to wait with us here? Yeah, where else would I go, man? You're going to have my car. You're going to have my vehicle. Why did you not go to Freeland? I didn't know if Freeland Chevrolet could fix my tire. Yeah. Even doesn't matter, make or model. And they'll give you a rental. Why do you think I was in that big white beer leer and I was also in a Colorado? Dang.
Starting point is 00:28:56 Should have gone to Freeland Chevrolet. And we could have got footage. We could have got footage of me rolling up in my wife's car, them doing the tire. However they do it, I don't know how they do it, but they did it. So I'm there and they finally pull it out and honk the horn, beep, beep. And you look up. Oh, that's the vehicle. Here we go.
Starting point is 00:29:16 All right, thank you, sir. We got that all patched up for you. Thanks for coming in. You know, if there's anything else. you know, just let's know, we're here. All right, man, thanks. Cool. Go home. Live my life.
Starting point is 00:29:28 I get home from work yesterday. And my wife says, hey, I don't think the patch is working and the low-pressure light is on again. Oh, my gosh. I said, well, I guess I know what I'm doing today. I'm not a tire guy.
Starting point is 00:29:47 And so I went out got in her vehicle drove it down the street took a right, a left, a right left, left, right, pulled into the parking lot and I weighed in line again. There's five people in front of me
Starting point is 00:30:02 and I'm the next one and he goes, sir, are you picking up or dropping off? I was like, oh, I'm dropping off and he goes, do you mind if I help that lady right behind you? She's just here to pick up her vehicle. Actually, both. I'm picking up a tire and dropping off my car. Actually, I mean, I would like to go in front of her, you know what I mean? That adds more
Starting point is 00:30:19 minutes to my day of waiting. But yeah, go ahead, lady. Just get your car. Was it a haughty? She was a blondeie. Okay. So he wanted the number. Yeah, he wanted the number. And then he was struggling to find her keys also. Like he had to get on the radio. Hey, did you guys work on this car? Do you know where it is? And the guy came in and found it right away. He's like, oh my God, I must be blind. Funny joke. I was like, hilarious, man. Now can you help me? Yeah, hey, Stevie Wonder. And so he's like, hey, man, what brings you in here today? I'm Dylan. And I'm like, What's up, Dylan? Nice to meet you. And I'm like, yeah, man, I was in here yesterday.
Starting point is 00:30:53 And my wife had, you know, either a nail or screw. I don't know. You guys never told me in her tire. And you patched it up. But here we are today and I'm back because the patch ain't working because the lights on again. Patch didn't work, you son of a batch. And so I'm like, he's like, you mind if I go take a look at it? And I was like, hell, by all means.
Starting point is 00:31:13 So we walk out there. How's your day been going so far? It's going great, man, except for I'm at the tire store for the second day in a row. small talks to you small talks me oh man yeah but this weather it's been getting better and better hadn't it yeah it has man it really has he goes but i gotta be honest we could use some rain thank you dylan i i know we could use some rain we haven't had a lot of rain in the month of august we're almost in september we could use some rain cool else let me see what we got going on here he goes yeah you're right a little bit low we'll get you in line we'll get you in there to
Starting point is 00:31:46 get it checked out another line Another line. I was thinking. My thinking was I had been there the day before. So I literally thought, oh, of course he's just going to let me go to the front of the line. Because I'd already been there yesterday. Just get a new tire. This patch stuff. Come on. And you track your guys know. Come on. What's in a patch? I mean, it's pretty impressive that they can patch a tire. Well, you know how they do it? They do like some stupid blue ink or something in the able to see exactly then where it's leaking from and then they just go in inside out patch it or some crap it's so smart i know no it's it's there's a science to it but i can't believe that it when they weren't able to patch it the best that if they're if it's not a good patch i don't get how it could leak i don't know i don't know if the patch can come off like did they not glue it down good enough usually they know so they'll patch it and they'll they can see if something's leaking with that ink. Right. Well, obviously they didn't ink it right. Okay? The ink didn't do its job.
Starting point is 00:32:55 And so I sat there for another hour and 45 minutes why they waited my vehicle in line and then they did the hon-hong. Hey man, sorry about that. The patch wasn't all the way secure. We got to take care of it. You should be good to go now. You should be good to go. Paperworks in the door. And have a great day and we're here if you need us. So that's what I've done the last two days. Well, did the patch work? So far, the patches worked. What is it?
Starting point is 00:33:23 One of those hangover patches they put on it? Yeah. It's like it's like it gives them some electrolytes and rehydrates the tire and blows it up itself. Did they, did they break down what exactly made the hole? No. Because they love that. No. You know what?
Starting point is 00:33:39 We actually found it. It was a fucking screw. No. I'm telling you what. It was a p-kin-nail from one of those construction. buddy, I don't care the history of the tire and what punctured it. Just fix it. That's what I told Dylan on the way out to the vehicle.
Starting point is 00:33:56 I said, hey, man, one of three things is going on. I got a faulty air pressure light. B, the patch didn't stick and we need a new one or three. My wife is the worst driver ever and got another tire screwing her nail. He goes, well, I wouldn't be surprised by that. This is Nashville. What the sexist? Oh, he's talking about the nails, not the woman.
Starting point is 00:34:19 He's like, all the construction. He was like, I wouldn't surprise me. You know, all that stuff around 12 south, downtown. Yeah, stuff like that. Okay, dude, enough with a small talk, man. Fix the damn patch. But they fixed it, man. The car is running.
Starting point is 00:34:32 It's good. We drove it to soccer practice last night. No problems. No light in the vehicle is on. So I am hoping that when I go home today and my wife is going to be like, don't worry, tire works. I would not even come near. our building with that, definitely not floor or floor, because they're building a 70-floor high-rise
Starting point is 00:34:56 one block from our building. And right next door. Oh, yeah, we're surrounded by construction. I mean, there's construction everywhere. Like this morning, I'm riding my bike in and there's a forklift carrying big old cinder blocks down the street. Just do-d-d-d-d-d-do-do-do-d-d-d-d-d-d. I'm like, wow, man, great.
Starting point is 00:35:18 Welcome to Nashville. Yeah, they had to shut down here this morning. I was like, nope. I'm going into the building. Guys got the stop sign up. I cut right to the left of him and went up the ramp. I'm like, bro, you're not stopping me from a business residence. Like, stop.
Starting point is 00:35:33 And he looked at me like, well, duh. Hey, what do you think you're doing the son? Dude, I'm not sitting here waiting for a cement truck. Like, I'm good. Oh, man. We'll take a break. We'll be right back. Eating well shouldn't be complicated.

Starting point is 00:37:14 Hey, this is Hayes Davenport. And Sean Clements. We host the podcast, Hollywood Handbook on the Big Money Players Network. Our show is extremely accessible to first-time listeners. Each week, we talk to someone in show business, aka the biz, and try to help them with their careers and see what they have to offer us. Everyone has a good time, and no one gets mad at their publicists for letting them do our show. We've had a lot of great guests like Sarah Sherman.
Starting point is 00:37:37 Not that great. Actually, can you help me shape this? How about we flip it on his head, right? How about we flip this script? What is the surprise woman? Actually, you think is the straight man is actually the one who's acting weird. Adam Scott, this entire time, you've been expecting Adam Sandler to come to visit the show. I would never expect.
Starting point is 00:38:03 I have. I would never set expectations for something like that to have. If the universe allows for something like that to happen, I'm open to it. I'm always going to accept. You know, Danny McBride, fine. Yeah, it's all this fragile masculinity exuding. I could smell it walking down the hallway, to be honest with you. I was like, is that weed?
Starting point is 00:38:26 Nope, it's fragile masculinity. Ben Stiller, no. Because a lot of times, out of context, people don't get it or even know what a circle is. You know what I mean? They're like, oh, what's a state? Everyone's so dumb. And fake. Right.
Starting point is 00:38:41 Fake and also not interested or just like, oh, I've got my life. I don't care about your life. And a lot of other big shots that wouldn't be where they are without us. Oh, and by the way, Will Ferrell told us personally he loves the show and he wants to be a guest on every episode, but he's just so busy. Listen to Hollywood Handbook on the I Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Our town is small taters by most standards, right? but to the people who grew up here, it's everything. What happens when a quiet Tennessee town becomes the front line in a battle over the future of America?
Starting point is 00:39:15 Developers with right-wing ties have purchased hundreds of acres of land in the area. The first thing you see when it pops up is pioneers in Appalachia. But they weren't just planning houses. We need cities on a shining hill that exemplify and embody the Christian way of life. Stop right there. Is that normal? A podcast about what happens. when a small town becomes the site of a social experiment. God need men to rule. Great.
Starting point is 00:39:41 And decides to fight back. Do not use my hard work to sell your bull-h-h-hue. They're not just opposing what's being planned for here. Our hometown is not a test tube. They feel like they're standing in opposition to an entire administration. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to Our Town on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. So all that to say, I should have gone to Freeland Chevrolet.
Starting point is 00:40:12 They would have done it right the first time. And you'd have been able to talk to Lewis, Richard, the boys. Gosh. They're going to grease it up right. They know how to absolutely loob it. They're going to get it patched up. They're going to probably do some inside out condom. And it's not going to deflate.
Starting point is 00:40:29 Yeah, so that was my bad. But I did play golf on Friday. Must be nice. Have you played golf lately? I've played once in the last nine months. out at the course. And my back patio, I play every day. No, I get it on your back patio.
Starting point is 00:40:43 You're really good from your back patio. Yeah. Very impressed by your skills. But I went to play on Friday. I was just like, man, it's a beautiful day. I'm going to try to go get around a golf in. And I show up at the course. And I mean, they got me right on on a Friday.
Starting point is 00:40:58 Wasn't that busy. I don't know what was going on. But I got paired up with these two dudes. And I'm like, this is awesome. Maybe too hot. man, I didn't think Friday was hot. It was only like 90. What?
Starting point is 00:41:14 I mean, compared to the surface of the sun, correct. It's not that hot. Continue. I will say 90 degrees does scare some people. Like Garrett, his son had a soccer game on Saturday, and it got canceled due to heat. In Texas? Yeah.
Starting point is 00:41:30 Yeah. But I've never heard of that. I mean, I grew up in Texas. We never canceled because of heat. We played because we were tough. Scoob it with the middle finger. Oh, that was really nice. Hey, thanks, Scoop, man.
Starting point is 00:41:40 Good looking out, dude. Good to see you, too. So anyway, I'm sitting there and they, hey, man, I don't remember their names. We'll just go with Jackson and we'll go with Billy. Merrill. And hey, man, nice to meet you guys. Nice to meet you guys. All right.
Starting point is 00:41:56 T-off. And Jackson's about to tee off. And Billy's like, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. Now take a step back. Move your feet this way. Okay, now go, now go. All right, cool. And we go and they drive their cart.
Starting point is 00:42:15 I drive my cart and they go over there. I go over here. And we finish the first hole. Get to the second tee box. Jackson's about to tee off. Billy. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Look at your feet.
Starting point is 00:42:31 We're not doing this 18 times. Look at your feet. He's like, oh, okay, sorry, sorry, sorry. How do you want them to beat? Is this better? That's better, Jackson. Go ahead. I'm like, oh my God.
Starting point is 00:42:44 I would never want to play with my friend if he did this. This is so freaking annoying. Hits. He does it to him in the fairway again. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Stop, stop, stop. Look at your shoulders. We're out of you're having fun.
Starting point is 00:42:55 This isn't the PGA. Look at your shoulders. Like, your shoulders are pointing to the left. You're going to hit it way left if you swing right now. Who was this guy, Tiger Woods? Well, that's what I'm saying. He wasn't even. The most amazing golfer I've ever seen.
Starting point is 00:43:10 He was good, but he wasn't amazing. What is this, the Tom Amanski Golf Academy? And I'm like, God, this is really annoying. Why, if Garrett or Greg or Jacob did that to me, I would never play golf with them again. Correct. Right? Like, that would be super annoying. Hey, man, let me, let me, every stroke, he would, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Starting point is 00:43:30 Are you sure? Are you sure you're lined up properly? Please tell me he did that to you. No, he never did it to me. but finally on the fourth T-box I've had enough let me guess whoa whoa whoa whoa no are your feet I finally Jackson goes the T off and Billy stops him again right stops him mid like warm up everything and corrects his stance how he's holding the club and I'm like dude you are the most annoying person ever.
Starting point is 00:44:04 Those two are a standstill like Enos Canter in the WMBA. Yes. And so Billy, or Jackson hits it and Billy's like, see, see what it does when you do it right? And I'm like, wow. I said, man, I don't mean to be rude guys.
Starting point is 00:44:20 But how long have you guys been friends? This is crazy. Dude, I would not only disown you. I would have been gone by whole two with a six pack in tow. And Billy goes, oh, no, no, I'm his instructor. He hired me to teach him how to play golf. And he went on the course with him? He went on the course with him. And I was like, oh, oh, that makes much more sense.
Starting point is 00:44:46 I was thinking you guys were like best friends and you were up in his ass all day about his swing. And I was like, if you were my friend, I would have punched you in the nuts because you were so damn annoying. that might be frowned upon in the clubhouse taking an instructor on the course i know you can't do it at a gym really you can't have your own personal trainer they want you to pay for their personal trainers oh i couldn't just bring you in and you'd be like telling me how to do stuff that's why when i try to help bayser at the gym i'm like i can't be that vocal because they're weird about trainers i'm like hi i'm her boyfriend sorry no trainers you got to pay $200 an hour all right man i'm just trying to show my chick a couple tricks.
Starting point is 00:45:30 But, dude, it made, it enlightened me. I passed judgment on them without knowing their story. And after knowing their story, I was like, okay, a little bit more acceptable. But going in, the first four holes, I was like, my God, Billy might be the most annoying person I've ever met in my life. Well, and that affects your game. How is that fun to be around? I don't know.
Starting point is 00:45:53 You're like looking at your own feet. I'm like, hey, hey, Billy, can you? How are my shoulders, Billy? He's an instructor and he didn't give you one tip. No. I find it hard to believe. No, no, because that guy paid him. I know, but they're all knowing.
Starting point is 00:46:07 I'm shocked. He didn't give you one little finger trick. Hey, man, if you loop your pinky right around your nutsack, it actually is a perfect grip when you go to get a chunk wedge. Thanks, man. Thank you. Hey, I really appreciate you looking out for me, Billy, but I got this. You worry over there about Jackson.
Starting point is 00:46:25 I'm going to worry about me. you very much. You guys go play over there and you shape his body and move his hips, how you want him to move. I'm going to do me over here. Two people. No, our listeners, our truck drivers, have no idea either of these people. Billy, the golf instructor. Yep. And not my Billy friend. And then Pitt's friend from Ohio. Who's more annoying? You got Billy, the golf instructor. Hey, oh, move your feet for every hole. If you're with that group, it's just ignoring. Or me, Pitts, was it you? I think so.
Starting point is 00:46:59 Me, Pitts, you. Are we going to do it after the break? No, no, no, you're good. Me, Pitts, you and this guy from Ohio, and you would have thought he was playing in the PGA tour. Everything. Come on. Jeez, man. Goeys! Going up there, doing a putt.
Starting point is 00:47:15 You got a... F! F! I'm gonna fuck that, man. I'm like, Pitts, who is your friend from Cincinnati? He's an annoying his balls. I'm tired of his energy. And Pitts hangs out with the guy all the time. He was one step away from a myocardial infarction. Dude was going to have a heart attack.
Starting point is 00:47:39 And then you're going to go left. Gugh. Gew, man. Is he talking to his ball? We're not even playing for money. I will never go with that guy again. Pitt's like, yeah, brother, I went my friend from Ohio, brother. Brother. I would never in a million years ago golfing with that guy again. He was annoying as crap. Everything was, oh, last time I was out here, I shot a 60. Oh, my last shot.
Starting point is 00:48:06 Oh, I always make those puts. F word this, F word that. Oh, are you kidding me? Fucking hybrid. Why the fuck is that doing that? Who is this guy, brother? Who's more annoying? Billy the instructor or brother's buddy from Ohio.
Starting point is 00:48:23 Ohio. Jeez. It's like I one time I got paired up with a guy and every time he hit it. Oh, get down. Get down. Got! Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:48:32 Good, good. That's funny, though. I say get down. No, no. He said it every shot. That's got to get down. Oh, right next to the pin. Okay, good shot.
Starting point is 00:48:41 It was like every shot. I like saying get down, though, because it makes you sound like you're a badass and like you just absolutely crushed it. I'm like, get down. Get down. It's like 50 yards short. I'm like,
Starting point is 00:48:52 Oh, yeah, perfect. Get up, get up. I mean, get up. Get some legs, man. Get some legs. Oh, man. But yeah, that was my round of golf, dudes. It wasn't really that much fun.
Starting point is 00:49:05 It was a little stressful. But once I found out they were, you know, instructor and peasant, then I felt a little bit better, but it was still kind of annoying. Well, Boomer hit me. Speaking of golf, he hit me with the picture. He's playing?
Starting point is 00:49:17 He's playing. I was like, I thought you were at Coolidge. He's golfing on day two of Coolidge on a baseball scholarship? That seems weird. First of all, put down the clubs. Yeah, don't you have class to go to? Second of all, are we not investigating the co-eds?
Starting point is 00:49:36 Third of all, where are your books? Maybe he has a week until it starts. I don't know. Yeah, maybe he's just getting used to the campus. Maybe he moved in early. But looks like he's enjoying Coolidge. Good, good. Yeah, my goddaughter, she is up in.
Starting point is 00:49:54 Boston. She went to a Red Sox game. Looks like she's been exploring the town with some other girls from campus. Looks like she's having a great time. Ray, quite the exploration through her Facebook pictures. Well, that's all I got. I got hit with those. That's all I got. Talk to her dad. Dad is doing okay. Little brother's a little down in the dumps. And mom is an absolute wreck. Yeah, it probably does feel like that empty nest feeling. Yeah. I mean, they still got the younger son, but I mean that's the only daughter and mom and her were like shopping buddies and so she's just having a hard time man having a hard time that's it's going to be you man eventually but I remember maria my sister muff she said when I left for college because Rob my brother he lasted like a month
Starting point is 00:50:38 and then I think he flunked out but which my mom said when I would leave she would cry all day and I'm like mom all I was doing was either gambling or watching television what was so fun to be around. Like, what? What does it matter if I'm there or not? Oh, man, that's funny. We'll take a break. We'll be right back.

Starting point is 00:55:14 an entire administration. Guess you didn't move in on a bunch of dumb hillbillies now, did you? Listen to Our Town on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Then, can I ask you a question? What the hell was the 49ers owner doing? How do you end up in a trailer park when you have $500 million? Billy hit me up with a text four days after it broke. I was like, thanks, Billy.
Starting point is 00:55:45 it is a legit story and it happened over four days ago. Like, no, no, no. That is like Bezos going to the love truck stop and picking up a lot lizard. What are we doing? Bro, just call one to your hotel room. Can you? Come on, you have $500 million. You're telling me you can't find something better than something that lives in a trailer park.
Starting point is 00:56:09 Like, I am just saying there has to be classier escorts. Then the trailer park off the side of the highway when you have $500 million. Right. But if it's not legal, like in Vegas, it's legal. It is illegal in Vegas. Oh, right. So if then maybe he doesn't have another option. That's his option.
Starting point is 00:56:33 There has to be a better option in downtown Cleveland. So I have heard maybe there's the dating apps. Those are the, but I've heard there's versions of dating apps. apps that are for prostitutes. Like back page. That's where he was. On back page?
Starting point is 00:56:53 I'm 99% sure he was on back page. I heard that thing doesn't even exist anymore. Let me make sure. But we can't Google. I have heard you can go on that website and pick up girls. But I'm saying so if it's,
Starting point is 00:57:12 that site doesn't exist and it's not legal, illegal, in Vegas. What are his options in Ohio? I mean, go to the girl at Wendy's and be like, I'll pay you $200, $500, $500.00. I have $500
Starting point is 00:57:29 million. Do you want to come in a private jet? I mean, anything. Hi, I'll take a Frosty, a Big Mac, and then also a sign of sex. Coach, Tiger went to Perkins. Okay. Billionaire went to truck stop.
Starting point is 00:57:47 I mean, it's just, it blows my mind that that's all he could find. I feel like they have it at their disposal with the circles they run in. There are so many women that would want to sleep with him just because he owns the 49ers. And he's going to the lowest of low. Is that how he got busted? One of the lizards turned him in? No, it was an undercover cop posing as a woman. Yes.
Starting point is 00:58:13 Hi, you have a. And he contacted her three. different times to make sure they were good to go. And he talked her down to the 140 or whatever. See, I was getting a discount. He did? Yes. So it costs $450?
Starting point is 00:58:33 Something $300. I don't know. To hook up with a lizard. That's what our truck drivers are paying. And I talked to batters, boss. He's like, good God. Our organization, first, Kyle Shanahan almost killed. kills himself in a wreck, then Mike Evans already hurt his hamstring, and now my owner's out
Starting point is 00:58:54 banging a freaking trailer parker. Evans is with the Niners? Yeah. That was the most shocking thing of what you just said. He was still with the bucks. I mean, dude, this Niners owner could come to our convention and he'd have better luck than he would in the freaking trailer park. But it does put new, now I understand the little Niners slogan, bang, bang.
Starting point is 00:59:19 Is that really it? That is their slogan. it is bang bang 49er gang you would think that there was a elevated hookup right that's what I mean right so like for Bumble and then there's
Starting point is 00:59:36 Eriton what's the other one Arista Arista okay so you got Arista is for the like celebs and then you got below that is Bumble and Tinder so for the prostitutes is there an elevated one. There has to be.
Starting point is 00:59:53 There has to be an elevated one. And that's what I mean. But maybe he's cheap because he did try to get a discount. So maybe he's cheap and he doesn't want to pay top dollar for some Poon Teng. Or he has no game whatsoever. He can't go to a bar and pick up a
Starting point is 01:00:08 chick. Right. Just walk in there and be like, have a laminate says owner, 49ers. You got something. Jeez, wear a ring, man. You should see him now, dude. You're beating him off with a stick. I'm like, guys, my wife is literally right there. Only happens when you're married, man. I told you when I was at that bar in Charleston. Yeah. She's like, and so I'll just go to these
Starting point is 01:00:32 like sex parties and like you'll be like dancing and other people can see you having sex. And I'm like, oh, that sounds fun. My wife's like, what are you guys talking about? Oh, the flowers. I don't know. This lady just started in a full odd. conversation. The beautiful flowers and botanical gardens of Charleston. How the aroma in the morning is perfect because it just enlightened your nose and brings smile to your face. Don't worry about it, honey. You'll learn one day maybe. And you can buy girls drinks. Back in the day, I never had money to buy them drinks. You know how easy it is to start a conversation. Hey, do you want to drink? That's one luxury I never had. I always just had to start with being somewhat,
Starting point is 01:01:20 have somewhat of an aura. Yeah. Otherwise, you're not going to ever talk to the person because you can't buy them a drink. Yeah. And you know what's funny is like mostly you're scared to talk to chicks. Like dudes are scared to talk to chicks because they're scared to get rejected, right? Right. They're nervous about that rejection.
Starting point is 01:01:36 I saw a like a little video online the other day and it was these dudes and they have a rule that if you get turned down by five girls in a row, all your boys owe you a drink. because they want to encourage rejection to take the chance. So most guys like, nah, man, what if she says? No, I'm not going to go talk to her. These dudes, if you get five girls in a row turn you down for giving the number, all your boys buy your round of drinks. Man, Arnold would drink for free.
Starting point is 01:02:11 And I thought that was great. What a great idea. Oh, for five. It's been done before. I've seen, I've seen Billy. I've seen Billy pull off a three for three before. I've seen Billy pull off an 0 for five when he gets sloppy. And I unfortunately, I believe on spring break, there were some 0 for tens.
Starting point is 01:02:30 Where you go 0 for three each night of spring break. Man. Oh, man. All right, we're out of here. Happy Wednesday. Jamar Chase is okay. He says he's okay. It looked like he blew out his knee.
Starting point is 01:02:42 So if you've already had your fantasy draft, you should be okay. You should be okay with Jamar Chase. Enjoy it. soccer playoffs tonight. If we win, we play again. 615 and then hopefully we'll be playing at 715. Have a great Wednesday. We're out of here. Dang, dude. That was all right.
Starting point is 01:03:06 It was good. Glad to hear Arnold's still around. Pretty beat up lately. I was a big fan of Dolly. Thanks for that, man. That was special. Hey, this is Hayes, Davenport. And Sean Clements.
