I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long.
the need to change.
We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes.
You can have opinions.
You can have like a strong stance.
And then there's your body having its own program.
Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
On a recent episode of the podcast, Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant, I sit down with Tiffany the budgetista,
Aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money.
What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people
when they're no longer here?
We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting
with the mindset shifts.
Too many of us were never, ever taught.
If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money, this conversation is for you to hear

It's time for the good news.
Tell me something good.
I was trying to think of what mine was, because I had one queued up.
But you know what happened last night?
I don't know if this is good or not, but I get a call probably, maybe 9 o'clock.
and you know John Daly
you know that is?
Yeah the talk show
or comedian or
Oh race car
Hold on
Who are you thinking?
Daily show
The day
Oh okay
Who's that?
You're thinking of John Stewart
And it's a daily show
Isn't it comes on every day
No I'm thinking of John Daly
Parsons Daily
John Oliver
No
No, I never mind
Okay
No that's everybody
No no
I'm curious to where your mind is going
I'm picturing like
You know
Not that guy that does the soup
but someone like him.
Joel McHale?
Yeah.
Is there a John Daly like him?
You know?
But then you said the Daily show.
Yeah, because I thought that's what it was called.
Like the soup, the Daily show.
Like I'm picturing the logo.
I don't think she knows who John Daly is.
I don't think she...
Wait, is he a race car driver?
No.
John Daly.
Oh, is he a golfer?
Yeah.
But that's not what I'm curious about.
I just wonder who you're...
Are you thinking of John Stewart?
I don't know.
I don't know.
Who could she be?
thinking about. Who could I be thinking about? I don't know. I just did an interview with Joel
McHale, by the way. Remember from the suit? That's random. Yeah. I mean, because I haven't thought of
him in a long time and you're like, oh, I just interviewed him. Well, I'll let him know you're thinking
about him. And so he played football at the University of Washington. Big guy. He's like six, five or so.
I played tied in. It was a walk-on at the University of Washington. What's crazy is he never played
high school football. What? That's amazing. I didn't know that. I knew that he had played or was on the
team at University of Washington. I think during the national championship year and then a rose bowl year after
that. And he's super funny, obviously. But I was talking to him and I said, you must have put up
some gaudy high school numbers to go play at Washington. And he said, I didn't play in high school.
I played in ninth grade only and that's it. What on earth? And it was like, well, then what happened?
He goes, well, like I went and I got on the rowing team at Washington and I became friends with some of the
football players and I guess I'll just try to walk on. He said, now it's terrible year one.
Didn't know what I was doing because I didn't play football since ninth grade. It's crazy.
Yeah. Because I knew he had been on the team, but I didn't know that he hadn't played high school
football and then that was the story. Isn't that crazy? It's so not fair. Yeah. Yeah, that's crazy.
He's very funny. What about John Daly? Oh, he called me last night. The golfer. The golfer.
But that's not going to be much of a story for you. But why did he call you? So my wife and I were watching the next
the last episode of Hijacked last night.
All are out now, by the way.
Okay.
Have you started it and gave up?
It's coming up in my, you'll hear my tell me something good.
All right, good.
Oh, well then I have a feeling what she's going to say.
So I get a call last night.
He's on my phone is JD Daily.
And it's his picture, like his cartoon picture.
Because now you can send someone the image.
You know what goes, do you want to send?
Yes.
And so I look at it.
My wife's half asleep and it's late to me.
And I'm going, man, do I want to,
answer right now because I know it's we're probably going to talk for a little bit if so and I show
her and she goes just just answer it I'm like all right cool and I'm like what up and he's like you're a
funny mother effer and I was like what did I do this time you said you to wear a dong as a patch on a
uniform and I was you say that well thank you for asking so Tyson foods as I mentioned they've paid a lot of
money to have the patches on all the Arkansas uniforms, all sports, all across the board
at Arkansas. Softball, baseball, football, basketball. And so people were getting upset because of the
aesthetic. And so I got online and I was like, you know what I'm more upset about? Only winning two
games. I said, I'll wear a full chicken costume. Put them in that if we win games. I said, I'll wear a
patch with a dong on it. Just doing my thing. Kind of being funny. And I felt like he'd been drinking a little
bit when he called me and he's like,
that's funny.
I sitting here thinking,
I love this guy.
I just wanted to call and tell you,
I love you.
And I don't really say that back until,
I do some now,
but I really don't just throw that out there.
And like,
I like,
I like, John,
but I don't love him.
And I was like,
thanks, man.
He goes, no,
no, no,
I love you, man.
I'm like, thanks, man.
No, okay,
okay,
but I just want to say I love you now.
Yeah,
all right.
Guess he got to go.
All right.
That's it.
That's it.
That is so,
funny. That was the whole call.
And so I didn't think much about it because I posted
out on Twitter. Just people... Is he an
Arkansas guy? Yeah? Oh yeah. Big time.
Oh, he did say, he said, I want to coach
the defense. I said, why? He goes, because
I'd make sure their quarterback wouldn't come back.
I was like, well, that sounds illegal. He goes,
no, we just play hard. All right,
got to go. Okay. I'm
I just Googled him. He's a big
old boy. For golf.
He's... He's... He don't play anymore, really.
He's been re-famous a few times. He's very famous. He's very
famous again now. He was in
Happy Gilmore 2 with Adam Sandler.
But yeah, no, no. Uncle John.
Who lived at his house? So I guess
that was good. John's always
been so nice to me. I just thought it was funny. He called me
because he thought it was so funny. I said I wear a dong patch.
hilarious. Yeah. But, yeah, that's what's up. And
see that ball I have in front of me?
The Arkansas basketball? Yeah, do you know who signed that? I may have mentioned this,
but Nolan Richardson. Yeah, that's the guy who's getting the statue.
Yeah.
until someone reminded me yesterday
that I had the ball.
Yeah.
And honestly, I just forgot
what my telling me something good was.
I mean, that's pretty good.
Eddie gave me some brisket.
How was it?
It's pretty good.
It's much better when I didn't have to cook it.
It's a brisket you gave him.
Yeah, yeah.
And I sliced it.
I sliced it. I sliced it up.
And he cooked it.
No, I mean, I guess it's good.
It's just like y'all are like...
Are you doing telling me something hate today?
Yeah.
Tell me something hate.
I gave it to him for his birthday.
A full brisket.
without many manipulation from me.
And so then I was like,
hey, if you cook it, I'd like to have a little bit
because when I made it, I didn't like it that much
because I had to cook it.
I'd eat until 9 p.m.
And I ordered Cracker Barrel sides.
Right.
Again?
No.
Yes.
Oh, you ordered them again?
For the little pieces that I gave you?
You didn't give me a little piece.
You gave me like two meals worth.
Yeah, yeah, I guess so.
Yeah, had a whole play-down.
Did your wife eat any?
No.
Oh.
No.
So it's just for you.
She's good.
Okay.
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
Yeah.
So I ordered fried okra, corn, and broccoli, and sweet tea.
And then there's a cracker barrel right near my house.
It was there on like 13 minutes.
And put it on, heated.
I did, man, I did use the microwave to heat the meet up.
That's all right.
But I only did it for like 30 seconds to not completely dehydrate it.
That's all you need.
I had a pretty good meal last night.
It was much better that I didn't have to cook it.
You know what I forgot?
I didn't bring any barbecue sauce.
So did you have any left?
I have left from what I bought, but I didn't use it because I wanted to try to eat it dry.
I want to raw dog it.
You know what I do for the microwave to try not to dry the meat out is I dampen a paper towel
and then I lay the damp paper towel.
Like it's not wet.
Like you wring it out.
Like it's just damp.
And then lay it on top of the food and that keeps it from drying out.
I think I've seen my wife do that.
And then also if anything pops, it doesn't get mess all over the microwave.
Yeah, I think I've seen that.
I don't know that.
Have you ever cleaned the inside of a microwave?
I've dug the bottom before.
it only though if I've done something stupid.
Like it's boiled over or something.
Yeah, and I've made the actual big...
I've never looked at it and there's been stuff there
and been like, this sure could use a cleaning.
I think I'll get right to it.
I can't ever get that.
You know the little to-go cups of mac and cheese
where it's like fill to this line
and you put in the microwave?
Mine always overflows.
And I feel to the line.
I go exactly to the line.
That content's not relatable to me.
Well, okay, so what's crazy about those things,
it's like styrofoam cup.
You don't have kids yet.
Yeah, yeah.
It's huge when you have kids.
It's like, oh, you want this for dinner tonight?
They're like, what?
This is amazing, yes.
I mean, and it tastes horrible.
It's just a cup.
You know how ramen comes in a cup?
They love it.
Yeah.
Same thing, but with mac and cheese.
Got it.
And so you just rip the top open and then you fill the water up to wherever the line is.
But Amy's right.
It's always too much water.
Yes, and I'm like, so now.
Why don't you start doing just a little less water if it's always.
You would think, but then it doesn't.
It messes up.
Like, the chemistry is like it needs that much water.
And there's also another part of the chemistry,
They put some mystery powder in with the noodles that's supposed to...
Sounds healthy and organic.
Right, no, this is definitely not an everyday occurrence that we get to.
That's why it's so special when we get it.
And the fact that we're microwaving it for three minutes kind of freaks me out a little bit.
I'll tell you another tell me something good that I laughed out loud at was Morgan Evans post on Instagram yesterday.
Oh, that was funny.
What did he say?
It's not what he said.
Just go to look at it.
Yeah.
His Instagram is Morgan Evans music.
So, boy, have I had a couple days with the Bobbycast?
and Morgan Evans and all the, it really, I mean, it just kind of started with the divorce stuff,
but it was so little. And then Kelsey Ballerane's ex-boyfriend gets on and says something stupid.
And then he's like, you're not masculine, you'd effer. And then that goes super viral. Everybody's
reporting on it. And I'm not even the bad. I'm not, it's not talking to be controversial about
me. It's what the greatest part. Look at his post. No, that one. What's the caption say?
He says, feeling pretty masculine today, album out in two weeks, and he's carrying a refrigerator.
Would you say that as a strapping young man?
Dude, he is ripped.
He's huge.
I didn't know he had arms like that.
That's why when dude's like, no masking, Morgan Evans would kill Chase Bloaks or Stokes or whatever his name is.
Yeah, he'd kill him.
Hilarious.
You know what's funny about your post is that my son saw it.
He follows you on Instagram.
And he said, he's like, why is that dude talking to Bobby like that?
I'm like, oh, no, no, no, no.
He's not saying Bobby's not masculine.
It's a whole other deal.
He thought he was attacking you.
That would have been preferred.
I would have milked that for really.
I just don't want to milk it so much
that it makes Morgan's life uncomfortable.
So that happened.
I did my thing.
And I really, the only other hilarious thing was in the interview
that Morgan and I had done.
And you can hear it today on the podcast.
Even the Bobby Bone Show feed today.
If you don't want to watch it, you can listen to it.
There was a part where we were just talking about people
to comment negatively on social media. Morgan's like, do you even know anybody who does that?
Who writes? And I'm like, I don't. Because either people are too busy or people that I know.
And I'm not going to say they're so well adjusted. But most people that I know, if they see something
they don't like, they just scroll past it. They don't really feel the need to tear anything down.
Like if it takes time to tear something down, they're not going to do it for the sake of it.
And it's a whole conversation we have about that. He goes, I don't either. I don't know why people,
like, I don't know what kind of people that do that. And he goes, sometimes because he went through it.
people were ripping him
because of that record
that came out about him
and he said
I would go to their page
sometimes
because I'd be upset
and I'd look at the person
who was saying stuff about me
and I'd go
I bet they're going through something
so then I would just get it off the page
he happened to say that
in the interview
the beauty is
way before the comment
so I reposted it
yesterday and it's him going
why do people write negative stuff
about it after the comment
from the chase dude
that's crazy
and funny
yeah it's been a weird day
that Ashley
McBride clip goes so viral yesterday too.
Yeah.
She was talking about going to rehab.
What a vulnerable moment to share.
Her and I have a pretty good relationship.
And I've not been to rehab,
but I've been a part of multiple rehabilitation experiences with my mom.
And so we didn't even get into it like that.
And I hope you listened to the interview on the Bobbycast.
And so she has a mutual.
music video for a song that's called Arkansas Mud. And the first line of the song I thought was so
interesting. And I don't do a lot of, you've heard interviews with me, I don't do a lot of,
hey, I like this lyric. Who cares, right? But the first line of her song is like alcohol and
percassette and da-da, I've tried them all, but it's like hard hitting. And I was like,
man, all that stuff you listed, was that like what you heard it? It's a percassette,
Natterol, nicotine and alcohol, throwing dishes down the hall, bad decisions. I've tried them all.
And I was like, did you do all those? Like in your time? She was like, yeah. And so we talked about
the video. She was like, I got kind of triggered in the video because I was like reenacting stuff
and it like really messed with me. And then that just organically, no direction from me or her
purposefully went to her going, yeah, you know, I needed help. And I was like, so I have no
problem talking about things like death or rehab or because I've just been a part of it so I don't
have to sensitively approach it. I don't feel that way because I feel like if someone that doesn't
have an experience with it talks about it maybe they dance around it. I don't feel like I have to.
And so I think she was just comfortable and she was like, yeah, this is what happened to me.
This is how I went to rehab. Wow. And what I learned was we don't have tissues in that room.
We had to go grab toilet paper.
Yeah, that would be helpful. It was so much crying. Now you're like, I know.
Barbara Walters.
I know.
She is so open about it and it was great and I hope people listen to it, even if not for that.
She's just a very compelling person.
But that clip went super viral.
And it was so many artists in Nashville also commenting under it.
Thank you.
You demand.
It was just cool.
It was cool.
Talk about not knowing what people are going through.
like, I don't know, we've met her dozens of times and never thought once like, oh, she has
problems with that.
But apparently, I mean, yeah, she had big problems with that.
I would say most alcoholics, you don't know they're an alcoholic unless you're with
them in the really dark times because most alcoholics know how to not seem like an alcoholic
whenever it's a normal person time.
And she was talking about that.
Like, she's good.
Like, I have one friend who's really going through it right now, like real bad.
You never know until it gets real bad.
And then you're like, I'm out.
I'm out.
But it was great. I hope you checked that out. Well, he wasn't a promo, but I thought the Morgan
Evan's thing was so funny. That is funny. And I texted him yesterday. He's chopped wood.
I was just like, dude, that's so funny, like a perfect way to do it. And he was like, yeah,
thanks, man. And so, you know, his album comes out in two weeks, but our little cycle of material
is probably over. I think I have a couple more clips, but I was like, man, this really worked
out well because we weren't really chasing anything. We weren't chasing sensational headlines
so much and you didn't say anything and I'm glad that it was like least pain on you and most
promotion for me. We both win. And so it's good. That dude's huge though. Like I was saying,
you have no idea. You have no idea how big. No. And somebody wants to challenge him out of your mind.
A win is a win. A win. A win is a win. I don't care.
Yep, that's me, Clifford Taylor the 4th.
You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football,

I'm Tom Boe. On our podcast,

I'm not worried about Policic. I'm not worried about Balagan.
I'm not worried about McKinney.
My only concern is what happens in the back.
The biggest decisions.
If you're going to look at stats and numbers,
he has no shot at making this World Cup team.
And the truth.
about the U.S. national team.
It wouldn't be a huge surprise

I'm excited to share that I have a new podcast
called Mind Over Mountain.
In each episode, I have,
interview athletes, adventurers, and adrenaline seekers to discuss the inner landscapes and life
experiences that informed and inspired their extraordinary feats. I also bring a bit of advice
into the mix so we too can better understand how to face our own seemingly insurmountable challenges.
Do you know what I'm going to do? I'm going to pull out what you already have inside.
We're coming into this world fighting for our lives. All I'm going to do is pull out what you already
got inside. We're there to support and celebrate each other. And that's not.
like a your story versus my story.
You're going to walk up and over that dang mountain.
You're not just going to put your mind over it.
Yep, yep, exactly.
And if I can't walk up and over it, I'm going to go through it.
Listen to Mind Over Mountain every Thursday on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts,

I didn't know a single person in New York.
And somehow I'm dressed by Oscar de Lorenta walking down that red carpet.
This month, we sit down with entrepreneurs and creators who actually did it,
who turned the scary leap into a business, a paycheck, and a life they are proud of.
Direct center of our happiness or our regrets is whether or not we're taking action on the things that matter to us.
They're not selfish.
They're so important.
They actually lead to our greatest contributions because when we're living fulfilled, we actually show up better everywhere.
We lead better.
we're better friends, we're better relationships and collaborators and all those things
because we have passion about the things we're doing.

Amy, what do you have?
Well, so I was looking at my calendar this weekend, and I have nothing on it.
That's awesome.
That's the best.
So I was like, wow, this is so great.
I have no sports games.
I have no kids stuff.
I have no, nothing.
Nothing.
And it might rain, which I don't love.
But like that also will force me.
Like I was thinking, there's some organizing I need to do at my house.
And I'm like, okay, this is going to be the weekend.
That some of that is going to go down.
And it's going to get done.
And guess what I'm going to have on while I do it?
Hi, Jack.
That's what we were waiting for.
Well, no.
You're not waiting for that.
If you're doing stuff, though, you don't really focus on shows so much.
Well, this one will be different.
It's going to be my closet needs some attention.
So I'll take my computer into the closet and have hijack on.
There's not going to be any distractions.
Like, I'll be able to focus.
And you've already said episodes one and two are me.
So I'll try to do my closet work during episodes one and two.
And then maybe three, since I have nothing going on.
Mike, would you?
I'll lay on the couch.
I agree with my assessment that one or two or me?
Yeah.
Okay.
Yeah.
And then three and four, that's where it gets good.
Perfect.
Three, I promise I'll lay on the couch.
When do I do that?
I don't know.
Are you caught up on Paradise?
Yes.
I am.
I'd give 100 bucks right now for another episode.
Really?
You're feeding that bad.
Crack, I need it.
Wait, when do we get it again?
Mondays.
I googled that.
Oh, guess what's out though now?
It's Friday, right?
Another episode of love story.
Ready to go.
So I'll have that to look forward to this weekend.
guys. Good. I'm happy for you. This, I, I'm smiling on the inside about my weekend. And the
outside if we're looking at it. I can see the smile. It's a little smile. Like it just, this,
this is a rare and I'm, I'm ready for it. Well, that's good. Like, I may book a stretch
appointment. That'll feel good. I wonder how much of this you actually do, because whenever I'm like,
I got, I, what do you mean? What do you mean? What do? Because I'm like, what do I do? Because
I'm like, what do I do? I'm like, if I'm like, you know what? I have nothing to do. I'm going to get all this
stuff done and then I never even do that.
No, I'm in a book a stretch appointment.
That's so funny. You guys are so different.
Like, I see nothing on the calendar and I'm like, well, perfect.
I'm going to do nothing for two days straight.
I don't think like, oh, what can I do in this time?
Organize my closet.
No chance.
Well, I don't like doing nothing.
But I'll cook.
Like, I'll cook.
I'll smoke.
Like, if I see two days, I'm smoking a risket.
I'm going to smoke rips.
Well, that's doing something.
But that's just nothing.
Eddie, what you're telling me something good?
Man, last night was awesome.
I don't know what happened to me last night, but usually I don't like going out to eat with the kids.
Like, it's just not, it's not fun.
It's really not.
Like, they fight with each other.
They throw stuff all over the floor.
It's not fun.
But last night, they were like, hey, dad, can we go to a Mexican restaurant tonight?
And I was like, why not?
Let's just go.
Let's just do it.
Random day, whatever, let's go.
Guys, it was awesome.
They are now to the age where they're cool to go out to eat with.
What made it cool?
I don't know.
They didn't fight.
They didn't throw chips at each other.
I didn't have to threaten them.
Like, hey, if you keep it up, you're not getting a Dr. Pepper.
Like, that's usually what we have to do.
It was peaceful.
We had good conversations.
We talked about, like, updates in your life.
We went around the table and had, all right, give me an update on your life.
And everyone participated.
It was awesome.
If the other three are good, does the youngest then be good because of the example, the other three?
The young one, you have to kind of give him a little, like a phone or an iPad just to distract him.
And then once the food's there, he's good.
he'll just eat and be quiet.
Where'd you go?
Chewis?
Yum.
Sounds like lunchbox.
What?
Distract him with something and give him food.
My little one?
Yeah.
Same kind of person.
Last time for Kevin, kick off Kevin.
Tell me something good.
Yeah, it has to do with patience, actually.
And I want to thank you guys as my tell me something good for being patient with me as this week comes to an end.
Filling in for Ray this week.
It's been a lot, but you guys have been awesome, so I appreciate it.
Yeah, we have been really patient because Kevin's a really,
sucked.
He's messed up a few times.
It's a couple.
But it's okay.
It's okay.
I've been impressed with your patience.
With mine?
Yeah, like you've been, like, it's, you're rolling with it.
You're going with the flow.
Like, you're just breezy.
You really are.
Yeah, what, like, what's new about that?
It's not really a good track record on patience.
Huh.
But this week, yeah, you're right.
Interesting.
I've seen it.
I just kind of thought it's been my normal self.
That's what's known for.
Like, just roll with it kind of.
guy. You're kind of an efficiency guy. And when that efficiency gets a little, like,
not so efficient. I'm an efficiency guy. Funny. Yeah, you've done a great job. But here's
what the great thing about what, because at times the ads been a learning curve for you,
the great thing about this week is you've been dunked into like all of this audio stuff,
that the next time it happens, like you're just going to, you're going to be able to hop right
in and 80% from the beginning. Yeah, but maybe do some drills at home or something. Oh, yeah,
like a name. I like that. Well, I'm just thinking.
A shot taken?
I liked it though.
No, no, no, no.
I didn't have to take it, so I like it.
No.
The other day you had my back and now you're just taking shots.
No, I do have your back.
I think you've been doing great.
I just was thinking like that would go, like Bobby will be impressed.
How do you do drills at home for that?
Do you get a board, a whole system?
You just like, hey, his wife can call out.
Tell me something good tease.
Oh, go, go, go, blah.
Yeah, good job.
Thank you.
Good job.
Because I think that's what some people don't realize is all the different.
sounds they hear like coming up next or like Bobby Boneshout like there's a different
Ging what do we call those?
Promo jingles. Promos jingles. Whatever yes. There's very specific ones. There's generic ones.
And your ear, even I don't have to deal with it, but even I know the ones that are associated
with certain things, but you'll hear it right away. Because to somebody else, they might be like,
what's wrong with that jingle? But it's like so obvious right away. It's not the right
jingle. Or even like a 10% audio difference. I'm like, no, go, whoa, whoa, you know, louder.
Turn it up. Turn it down. Turn it down when I do. But also, Ray and I have such a hand signal relationship that Kevin and I don't have because Kevin doesn't do it all the time that I can literally make a head tilt to the left and Ray knows exactly what to do, which isn't fair to Kevin for me. Because the first day I didn't think much about it and I was like head tilt to the left. Hey, you idiot. I held it. I had tilted the left. No, Kevin's definitely killed it. But I also think something that this has made me realize is like, dang, Ray is like, like. He's on it. I mean, he should have even been doing it for a bigillion years. But I mean, like, he, Ray's like,
his job, like Kevin, what would you say about his job?
Like, it's a little more complicated than people might think.
Yeah, and he's got his own system.
Everybody knows here.
His system is like chaos.
It's like chaos.
But he knows it.
Yes.
Yeah.
And so like he's got it down.
So I guess just like, you know, respect for Kevin, respect for Ray.
But that's what Kevin was saying was that like his system and the way everything's laid out
on the board is so customized to how Ray does it that Kevin's like, it doesn't make sense.
So I have to learn it a different way.
Yeah.
Yeah.
Yeah, good job.
Thank you.
Abby, give me something good.
I have an update on the car accident I was in, like shortly after lunchbox.
I remember I was saying how it was kind of sketchy.
Retell me that story.
I'm sure I know, but tell for everybody else.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
All the listeners.
All the listening, Bobby remembers.
I've thought about this so much since then.
Right.
For everybody else.
You haven't talked about this outside of work?
No.
Okay, so I'm driving down the road.
And then this lady, she was supposed to stop at the stop sign.
coming out of a, like, shopping center and just runs right into me.
And I go around and we, like, exchange information.
And she's like, who was at fault here?
And I'm like, that was you.
I'm just driving and you ran into me.
And then she's like, well, I can't wait for the police.
I got to go pick up my husband from a surgery.
Well, she turned it in and she admitted fault.
Oh, wow.
Great.
They're fixing my car.
That's good.
Yeah.
Shout out to honest people.
Yeah.
I was waiting for that update.
I mean, mostly Caitlin and I, I'm like, I just can't wait for happy to finish her story
about that wreck that she's been in that I think about a lot of life. Yeah, I definitely will.
Yes, please do. I'll send her a voice moment now. Hey, Caitlin's Bobby. Remember? Okay, it's you good.
All right. Yeah, you did say, update us. Yeah. I know. I remember right now. I just didn't know if they did.
Oh, I remember it. 100%. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, there's a lot of accidents happening in the show.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right, good job, everybody. That's tell me something good. That's what it's all about.
It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good.
about the internet and social media, kind of sucking sometimes, like bringing folks down.
Right.
Do we think, though, that kids are just becoming better in general?
Like, they have more empathy, they have more, because again, there's a story here, and I've
heard of these groups before.
Sophia Campbell is a fourth grade student at DeBerry Elementary School in Florida, and she got
a surprise from her classmates after they noticed she was struggling with confidence.
Members of their classroom group, known as the kindness squad, decided to support her
by writing encouraging messages on colorful, sticky notes.
While she was out of the room, they covered her desk in her chair with notes.
They just would have never happened.
We were kids.
So what's up?
What if it, here's, hear me out on this.
What if this sort of thing was happening because we didn't have social media and spread?
No, no, I can tell you.
My school, this crap never happened.
I didn't experience that.
I was feeling down.
You know what out?
I got shoved in a locker.
I got shoved in a locker.
I got shoved into toilet.
Yeah.
No, we ever put notes on my stuff unless it was like, you're an idiot.
And your head's too big.
Yeah.
Well, maybe they are.
Maybe kids are just getting kind of.
Because it's like kids are now building lemonade stands and raising money.
Raising money for charities.
Yeah, but then Eddie goes, well, my kids don't do that.
They don't.
And so to answer your question, I think it's just the parents.
The parents are now realizing that they need to start.
So it's you.
That's what your kids haven't done it.
So basically, I need to step it up and start teaching my kids to do this.
But I don't think there were kindness squads when we were younger.
Like, I don't think there was an understanding.
So maybe it's a pendulum with as negative as a,
it gets, there's positivity that comes as well in certain areas. The gesture was led by a student
and they quickly supported by the rest of the kindness squad. The teacher says it's one of her
favorite experiences as a teacher ever. People magazine. I remember once in fourth, sixth grade,
our teacher, imagine a desk, but it's a chair. And from the chair, like from the arm on the right
side, the desk is attached to that. It wasn't a chair that scooted into it. It was a chair that had a little
table attached to it. Everybody familiar?
Yeah, we had those. She was talking
in class and she was teaching about science and she sat
on it and the chair flew and she fell and busted
her butt and the whole class. There
was no kindness squad. You guys all laughed.
I didn't. I tried not to.
Oh, you didn't? I didn't. I didn't. I didn't. I'm going to tell you
why because I didn't want to get in trouble.
But I was definitely
doing that. There was no kindness squad.
That chair rocketed
across the room. And some of the kids
were laughing so hard. I
felt bad for her.
And it's like when you're in church or at a funeral and you're trying not to laugh
because it's inappropriate.
Yeah.
You ever been that?
Maybe not a funeral.
Not as an adult.
Well, at my church growing up, we had this guy he came.
He was really, really sweet, but he was also mentally, I don't know the appropriate
word, a challenged, you know.
So I don't know.
He's probably in his 40s, almost 50s, but acted very childlike.
But we all loved him.
And he collected cans.
We would bring him cans because that's how he would make money.
But he also had this fan.
He would have that, you know those little handheld fans?
You would have them during church.
And he would run those fans during church.
And sometimes it would bob his nose.
And then he would freak out.
And then sometimes he would toot.
And he would blame it like on my mom.
If she was by him, he would go, Judy.
I would love this guy too.
So we would laugh during church because we had, you know,
built in entertainment with Allen.
So it was appropriate levity.
Ah, classic Allen.
Classic.
All right, good stuff.
That's what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good.
It's time for the good news.
With Amy.
Tell me something good.
So Diane Bennett, she lives in Greenfield, New York, and she went to her local Walmart to pick up two cakes that she had ordered to mark her final day of chemotherapy.
Her plan was to take the cakes to the hospital, share it with the staff that she's obviously grown close to during her cancer treatment.
Well, when she got to the Walmart, she realized it a little bit.
Walmart employee paid for the cakes already.
I guess they saw that it was a chemo-related celebration.
And they paid for the cakes.
I mean, she noticed there was no bill.
She turned around and went back to the bakery and was like, I think there's a mistake.
I need to pay for these or where is this so I can check out?
And they're like, oh, no, it's all good.
And it's just like a special moment for her where she was able to then go to the hospital
staff and celebrate with them, but also had, you know, say, hey, this was actually a gift from a Walmart
an employee that I don't even know. Yeah, that employee brought so much joy into her life.
Mm-hmm. She's like such a simple act of kindness, especially during such a difficult time like that,
the littlest things can mean the most. That is a great story. That is true. That is what it's all about.
That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying.
