There's a lot of luck. Yeah. Listen to Thanks,
Starting point is 00:02:22 Dad, on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. In 2023, Bachelor star Clayton Eckerd was accused of fathering twins. But the pregnancy appeared to be a hoax. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Owens, correct? I doctored the test ones. It took an army of internet detectives to uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Greg Alespian.
Starting point is 00:02:49 Michael Marantini. My mind was blown. I'm Stephanie Young. This is love trapped. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faced. as consequences. Listen to a love trapped podcast on the Iheart radio app,
Starting point is 00:03:04 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. It's time for the good news. Tell me something good. I am colorblind. Uh-huh. Yeah, we knew that. What? And I've been my whole life.
Starting point is 00:03:21 And I just want, I'm Bobby and I'm colorblind. Hey, Bobby. Hi, Bobby. Hi, Bobby and colorblind. I don't know how it goes. So it sucks because my, vision is also really bad, so I can't do the thing where you put on the glasses and then you see the colors because my bright eye doesn't work at all, so it doesn't matter color or not.
Starting point is 00:03:42 So I do like these stories where they put on glasses for the first time and people get so emotional. So this is a 61-year-old dad who broke into tears while finally seeing color for the first time. His name is Jim Gogan. Will you please play the clip? How does it look, Dad? How does the Christmas tree look? Merry Christmas. That's 84. Mm-hmm. Six.
Starting point is 00:04:14 Mm-hmm. That looks like an eight. Yeah. Oh, wow. That's amazing. It's crazy. Because what do they see, like black and white? No, because I don't see black and white.
Starting point is 00:04:24 Some do true colorblindness, because I've seen those on TikTok. I get on that algorithm sometimes. Some do. Very rare. Most colorblind people would be officially considered color deficient. So any color for me that gets above any, like, red, green, blue, any of those that get above, like a six on the darkness scale, they start to fade into black. And then everything's black by seven. Dark green's black. Everything looks black to me. Whenever I do the color test and you open the
Starting point is 00:04:54 book, some of them I can see the numbers because it just depends on the colors. Some of them, I see no number in that circle. You got familiar with the test? Yes. There's no number. And I've been looking at them before and I'm like, Kalen, they're screwing with me. There's no number on this. She's like, yeah, 22. I'm like, you're screwing with me too. You run on the joke. So it just depends. I think a lot of people are different. That's from the Good News Network. I love when that happens. Is that what they're doing there where he's reading out the numbers?
Starting point is 00:05:19 There's an eight. There's a six. He can see colors for the first time. That's amazing. Yep. There you go. That's mine. Amy, what do you have?
Starting point is 00:05:25 So there's this couple, Ben and Mia. And he proposed to Mia. She said yes. And then he surprised her with this voice memo that he got three years earlier from her from her grandpa before he passed away of the grandpa giving his blessing. and approval of him proposing to her one day. And so after, when they, when he was proposing, this was part of his whole thing. Wow.
Starting point is 00:05:51 Not any time soon, but I was going to ask if I could have your permission to ask her to be my wife one day. You're going to leave it. Anything I could get on. Well, thank you. And I mean it. Do you just tell me an extra lover, actually proud of her? I just want the whole world to know I love male, sweet girl that I have ever known. I stand by that.
Starting point is 00:06:13 Thank you, Papa Is that another? Yes, sir. Dang, Amy. Sweetest gesture. I mean. And I don't want to add to it, but that grandpa was wearing colorblind glasses. That's your exorcestral.
Starting point is 00:06:34 Beautiful. It was the first time we'd ever seen that kid. Nah, that's crazy. That's a good one, too. Dang. All right, all right. Lunchbox. Miracle on the Hudson.
Starting point is 00:06:44 Ring any bells. Yeah. Heard of it. Yeah, Captain Soli lands the plane on the Hudson. Everyone survives. Well, guys, now we got mini miracle on the Hudson. Aircraft with two people loses power. They're going down.
Starting point is 00:07:00 They're going down. But what do they do? The pilot lands it safely on the Hudson. So now we got miracle on the- Really? Same river. I never saw this. So we had Miracle on the Hudson.
Starting point is 00:07:14 and now we got mini miracle on the Hudson. Hit it, right? Boom. Wow. Mini miracle on the Hudson. Do you guys think because Sully did that, now people are like, let's do the Hudson, it works. Plan's kind of breaking down. Let's fly over it.
Starting point is 00:08:04 Just do the Hudson. See if we. No, no, that's crazy. Wow. I'm always afraid my plane's going to hit a bird. I know. That's my new fear because they have no control over that. Because that's what, did they both hit birds?
Starting point is 00:08:17 No, no. Because Sully hit a bird, right? Baggoose or something. Is that why that came out? Hey, you know who's playing hit a bird? Ray. He was headed to Jamaica? Ray, why are you laughing? He was so dramatic. But when you do hit a bird, so
Starting point is 00:08:32 I guess it took down obviously the one in the Hudson, but it's really not a big deal. They're aware when it hits a bird and they just said, hey guys, we're going to have to land this thing, go back to the airport, we hit a bird. And I believe one of the engines was affected, but there's backups. So he just casually went back to the airport. We chilled for an hour and then went back up in the same plane.
Starting point is 00:08:51 I mean, I think it just depends what kind of bird, how many birds. And my wife's like crying. We hit a bird. Yeah, you know who it's a big deal for? The bird. The bird's family. It hit migratory Canadian geese. Maybe those are so big.
Starting point is 00:09:07 They struck a flock. This is the Hudson. Yeah, that's the big Hudson. They struck a flock of migratory Canada geese shortly after taking off from LaGuardia Airport. 2009, the geese were ingested in both engines. Oh, that's trouble. Causing an immediate total loss of thrust. Hold on.
Starting point is 00:09:22 That was 2009? What would you have put it at? 15. COVID, man. 2009? Dang. And then you guys met solely, right? And he was real cool.
Starting point is 00:09:33 It was brief. It was not my best interaction with someone. I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe a bad day. He looked like he was in a hurry. Say that. I shall say no more. But I,
Starting point is 00:09:47 I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Do you remember in the movie? I don't know if this is true or not, but in the movie, the day that they landed and all that happened, he was like, oh, exhausted, doing a bunch of press or whatever. So he goes to the bar and he's like, give me a drink. And they give him gray goose. No way. No. Yeah, I remember that. And he laughed. He was like, ha-ha, ironic. A win is a win. A win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clever Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions,
Starting point is 00:10:17 my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. This is a place for raw, unfiltered conversations with some of your favorite athletes,
Starting point is 00:10:34 creators, and voices that not only deserve to be heard, but celebrated. One week, I'll take you behind the scenes of the biggest moments in sports and entertainment, and the next we'll talk about life, mental health, purpose, and even music. The Clifford Show isn't just a podcast. It's a space for honest conversations, stories that don't always get told,
Starting point is 00:10:53 and for people who are chasing something bigger. So if you've ever supported me or you're just chasing down a dream, this is right where you need to be. Listen to The Clifford show on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more behind the scenes, follow at Clifford and at TikTok Podcast Network on TikTok.
Starting point is 00:11:13 There's two golden rules that any man should live by. Rule one, never mess with a country girl. You play stupid games, you get stupid prizes. And rule two, never mess with her friends either. We always say that trust your girlfriends. I'm Anna Sinfield, and in this new season of the girlfriends, Oh my God, this is the same man. A group of women discover they've all dated the same prolific con artist.
Starting point is 00:11:42 I felt like I got hit by a truck. I thought, how could this happen to me? The cops didn't seem to care. So they take matters into their own hands. I said, oh, hell no. I vowed. I will be his last target. He's going to get what he deserves.
Starting point is 00:11:59 Listen to the girlfriends. Trust me, babe. On the Iheart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. What's up, everyone? I'm Ego Vodam. My next guest, you know from Step Brothers Anchorman, Saturday Night Live,
Starting point is 00:12:18 and the Big Money Players Network. It's Will Ferrell. Woo, woo, woo. My dad gave me the best advice ever. I went and had lunch with him one day. And I was like, and dad, I think I want to really give this a shot. I don't know what that means, but I just know the groundlings. I'm working my way up through, and I know it's a place that come look for up and coming talent.
Starting point is 00:12:39 He said, if it was based solely on talent, I wouldn't worry about you, which is really sweet. Yeah. He goes, but there's so much luck involved. And he's like, just give it a shot. He goes, but if you ever reach a point where you're banging your head again, the wall and it doesn't feel fun anymore, it's okay to quit. If you saw it written down, it would not be an inspiration. It would not be on a calendar of, you know, the cat.
Starting point is 00:13:06 Just hang in there. Yeah, it would not be. Right, it wouldn't be that. There's a lot of luck. Listen to Thanks Dad on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This week on the Sports Slice podcast, it's all about the NFL draft. and we've got a special guest.
Starting point is 00:13:24 The director of the NFL's East West Shrine Bowl, Eric Galco, joins the Sports Slice podcast to break down what really matters when evaluating draft prospects. From hidden traits teams look for to the biggest mistakes franchises make
Starting point is 00:13:37 to the players flying under the radar, this is the insight you won't hear anywhere else. If you want to understand the draft like an insider, you don't want to miss this episode. Listen to the Sports Slice podcast on the IHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts,
Starting point is 00:13:50 or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, Follow Timbo Slice of Life 12 and TikTok podcast network on TikTok. In 2023, former bachelor star Clayton Eckerd found himself at the center of a paternity scandal. The family court hearings that followed revealed glaring inconsistencies in her story. This began a years-long court battle to prove the truth. You doctored this particular test twice, Ms. Sond's, correct? I doctored the test ones.
Starting point is 00:14:19 It took an army of internet detectives to crack the case. I wanted people to be able to see what their. tax dollars were being used for. Sunlight's the greatest disinfected. They would uncover a disturbing pattern. Two more men who'd been through the same thing. Gregalespian and Michael Marantini. My mind was blown.
Starting point is 00:14:37 I'm Stephanie Young. This is Love Trap. Laura, Scottsdale Police. As the season continues, Laura Owens finally faces consequences. Ladies and gentlemen, breaking news at Maricopa County as Laura Owens has been indicted on fraud charges.
Starting point is 00:14:53 This isn't. over until justice is served in Arizona. Listen to Love Trapped Podcast on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. Amy, okay? Yeah, I just... Amy just leaned over her entire table. Well, that's where I have to, because my cough button, if you recall.
Starting point is 00:15:11 I'm talking about full stretch, all the way lean, biggest yawn you've ever seen in your life. That wasn't a yawn. I was coughing. Were you in distress? I didn't hear the cough. No, I tried to... I know CPR. I tried to...
Starting point is 00:15:21 I tried to not cough loudly because I didn't... I didn't want it to pick up on anybody else's mic, but I just feel like, I don't know, like air went down the wrong. Dang, a geese. Oh, wow. Went in the hole? A little tiny girl. I know how to do Heimlich to babies, to adults, and to pregnant women, and they're all different. Yeah, what's the pregnant woman?
Starting point is 00:15:43 I bet that's tough because of the baby. It's not. You do it up here. Oh, the boobs? Well, it's kind of in the middle of the chest. And it's more of a, boom, boom, it's more of a punch. Oh. than it is whenever you do.
Starting point is 00:15:55 And when you do the Heimlich on a normal person, it's a J. Excuse me? When you do the pull, think of it as a J. You're making a J. Oh, okay, got it. So you know how you pull in with your hands? You go, oh, think of it like you're pulling in and up, like a J. And it's under the rib cage, right?
Starting point is 00:16:11 Like, right? Yeah, it's right around that. Right on. Just grab something. That's what they said. Now that's what they told me. Just grab something and do a J. But I'm certified now, so if you guys need to me to come, but I do parties, special events.
Starting point is 00:16:23 Yes. Okay, Eddie. René Villarreal Albe. He was driving on the road with his wife. They were on Loop 410 in San Antonio when they see this car just like going back and forth to traffic, hitting cars, bouncing off cars. So René drives a big truck and he's like, oh, what's going on here? He pulls up next to it, sees that the person in there is unconscious. So in the driver's seat, there's just somebody unconscious and the car is just still moving.
Starting point is 00:16:49 So he decides to do what's called a pit maneuver. That's where you just take your truck and block the car That way it doesn't hit anybody else And he stopped his car and the other car And he rescued the guy I mean because or else he would have just kept driving And hitting people all over the road And here's audio that his wife was shooting video
Starting point is 00:17:07 Not be by the safety wheeler Oh what are we gonna do? I don't know what are we going to do Oh God oh God oh God he's gonna hit us He's gonna hear us he there asleep Renee Oh God oh my God Oh God oh God oh God Oh my God
Starting point is 00:17:25 Oh my God Call 911 The video is Bananas Yeah I think I probably need to see the video I mean because he slams into the concrete median or the barrier on the right hand side Flies back into traffic
Starting point is 00:17:40 So Renee goes in front of him And start slowing down And then when allows the car to hit him And then he goes all the way I got it up complete stop He's over So good
Starting point is 00:17:52 You're watching it right now? Yeah I'm watching it now he sees it but like you gotta think of your boom hits that median oh god that's what she said that's what she did now they're doing an interview
Starting point is 00:18:03 like get out of the interview okay and they're cut back in the middle of it they're doing an interview yeah now they're going back and they see the guy passed out and so they are doing that thing where you get it now they're back to the interview that pit maneuver yeah they get in front of them
Starting point is 00:18:15 so smart but here's the thing though like you've got to sacrifice your vehicle yeah but that's okay I know but the fact that he thought about doing that or he didn't even think about it. He's just like, I'm going to save everybody else on this road. What's fortunate is nobody else slammed into them because on a busy
Starting point is 00:18:30 highway. Yeah. Yeah. Because on a busy highway, everybody's just a busy highway in. And I'm still can, like, even if he gets in front of him, how does it not just boom, like, wreck his car? Like, he was able to do it casually. And he's not a cop. It says that he's just a welder. Like, you know, the fact that he knew that maneuver, which is like a trained maneuver that cops do. I mean, it's pretty cool that he just did it. Instinct. What? By instinctually? Yeah. Instinctually.
Starting point is 00:18:57 What were you going to say? By instinct. That works. That works. Yeah, it's a good one. There you go. That's Tell Me Something Good. That was Tell Me Something Good.
Starting point is 00:19:06 It's time for the good news. With Bobby. Tell me something good. This guy donated 100 gallons of blood. Not at once. Whoa. Not at once. Not at once.
Starting point is 00:19:18 No, no. But back in the 80s, his name is Garrett Vandenbelt, Houston, Texas. Started donating blood. and he would get the t-shirts. Loved free t-shirt. Who doesn't, is what I say. And so he liked collecting the shirts, but he also enjoyed helping others.
Starting point is 00:19:32 He's now 69, and he has achieved the amazing milestone of donating his 100th gallon of blood. Sounds like what a vampire. I don't know, it's very vampire. Right now, the vampires are like natural. Tell me something more. Garrett, who now donates life-saving platelets once a month,
Starting point is 00:19:49 says, once you're poked, it's the easiest thing in the world. He's gone as far as to compare the experience to simply relaxing, watching TV at home. I'm proud of it, he said. ABC 13. That's pretty cool. That's amazing. Your body can keep making that much blood. Man, Garrett, I get the free t-shirt, love too. If you get a good place with good t-shirts, and they're not those hard ones, and they're not all XL. Because if you go to a basketball game,
Starting point is 00:20:12 they're throwing out shirts, and you're like breaking your neck trying to catch one. Oh, from the cannon? Yeah, and then you catch one. It's got a sponsor on it, and it's XL, and it's hard, hard fabric anyway. That sucks. These blood shirts, I bet they were good. Shout out Garrett, Vanden Belt. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time for the good news. With Lunchbox.
Starting point is 00:20:30 Tell me something good. Corey is the manager at Planet Fitness in Monument, Colorado. He's working. When all of a sudden one guy's using the machine collapses, cardiac arrest. And he yells at Olivia, hey, get the AED. She runs and get it. They open it up, listen to the instructions.
Starting point is 00:20:51 Boom. Boom! And they bring the guy back to life. You weren't here. You're on the cruise and I was telling the story, but I bought one of those. Do what? I bought an AED. Why?
Starting point is 00:21:04 Just life, man. Yeah, you never know. No, no, no. You bought an AED? Yeah. Flex. How cool is that? So you have one at your house, like on the wall like they do at the Planet Fitness?
Starting point is 00:21:16 We didn't hang it on the wall. That's a good point. Oh my gosh. How hilarious you hang it on the wall? You hang it on the wall so people know where it is if you go into cardiac arrest. There's not so many people coming through that it needs to be hung. It's for them. It's for us.
Starting point is 00:21:27 That is the coolest thing I've ever heard. We took a CPR class, like baby CPR. Yeah. And then they were like... Two fingers, boom. No, it's new. They changed it. Oh, they changed it?
Starting point is 00:21:36 Just recently. Because she was like, it's weird for me to teach it, not two fingers. Now it's either two thumbs. Oh. Yep. Or it's one arm, not two arms because two arms is adult. It's one arm locked arm. Oh.
Starting point is 00:21:46 Yeah. Man. It's changed, man. I said the same thing. Yeah. It's like, we're really two thumbs. You guys are so stupid. We're so stupid.
Starting point is 00:21:52 All right, that's a good story. That's what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying. Yep, that's me. Clifford Taylor the 4th.
