They put on Lizzie McGuire 2 a.m. Video on Demand, this guy's bo-o-o-a-m. 2 a.m. I'm like, Lizzie McGuire. And I'm like, a wild batch you were with.
Starting point is 00:01:32 It was like a first like closet moment from me where I was like, you're like, I don't feel like she's hot like the rest of them. No, no, no. I was like, she's beautiful. But I'm appreciating her in a different way than these boys are. I'm not like, but listen to Los Coltrustus on the Iheart radio app,
Starting point is 00:01:47 Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. This is Julian Edelman, host of games with names. On our latest episode, we got comedian, Blake Anderson from Workaholics. and the hilarious, this is important podcast. Let's go. We did beat them in improv. You had an improv against the team?
Starting point is 00:02:07 Yes, we would pull up their schools, would be there with signs for us. It's competition. What you would win is a bottle of gold slager. James Fester threw it out of a van because he didn't want us drinking it. For more games with names, visit the Iheart radio app
Starting point is 00:02:21 or wherever you get your podcast. It's time for the good news. Tell me something good. Let's go around the room. Amy, give me something good from the last 24. You can even do weekend. Oh, mine is 100% my power. Yeah, I'd say that works.
Starting point is 00:02:39 I feel like I have so much gratitude for light. I don't have to light any candles. I don't have to huddle up by my gas fire. I don't have to worry about dying from, you know, gases. Yep. The mixture, the grab bag. The grab bag of things. So I'm just very grateful for that.
Starting point is 00:02:58 And my cat's sleep. Like, because even when we, were, my friends were kind enough to take me and my kids and animals in. My cat was confused. And like clockwork at 3 a.m. She would meow every night. So I wasn't getting good sleep. So anyway, we're happy.
Starting point is 00:03:15 Did you find that people didn't want to take you in because you had animals? 100%. I was getting text messages, really nice ones from friends of like, please, like, feel free to stay with us. Only problem is can't bring the cat. Probably allergic. People are allergic. No, no.
Starting point is 00:03:29 No. It was, people don't. like cats. If they were allergic, that would totally make sense. But this was a, I'd be fine with it, but my husband really is like an anti-cat person. Oh. You know? Just doesn't like cats? So they weren't going to let you
Starting point is 00:03:42 stay if you brought your cat? Yeah, I think they were like, cats are fine. She has a fur coat. And cats really can fin for themselves. As long as got food in their litter box, like, they are pretty good. So I just was shocked at how many people are cat haters out there. To be Claire,
Starting point is 00:03:59 Bobby and Caitlin were willing to take the cat. Well, we have a bunch of places we could have put the animals. We have animals. And my wife's allergic to the dogs. So we have protocol in place on where animals can and cannot go. But that means there's a lot of places that they're able to be. The cat would be tough. It'd be a little tough.
Starting point is 00:04:16 This is what's like, because say Eddie's wife was like, hey, my friend needs somewhere to go. Eddie might be like, yeah, they can come. Those cats can stink up a little bit, you know? No, my cat doesn't stink. Did they say your cat was okay in the house without you guys? Because we called Dr. Josie, who's our friend and our vet. and we said, hey, what's the deal with the dogs? Because she's like, Ella is fine, colder, because she's part husky.
Starting point is 00:04:38 Oh, yeah, because she's like, they live in the snow. She's used to that. Big, thick snow, thick, thick coat. So we would leave her at the house a little more so she could run around. But she's like, Stanley needs to be where it's warmer. I wonder if cats were like that. I feel like my cat's fur is so thick. She probably would have been fine.
Starting point is 00:04:56 But I just would have felt weird leaving her. And thankfully, our friend that took us in. they have a cat. They were like, yes, bring the cat. Would your house all messed up from not being there? Well, we just left in a hurry because I feel like it was around 5 p.m. We were about to spend the night, another night in the cold. And then my son was like, Mom, I can see my breath and I'm cold. And I was like, I'm a horrible parent because we had offers, but I just didn't want
Starting point is 00:05:20 to inconvenience anybody. And I kept thinking, the power's going to come back. The powers come back. We're going to pack up and leave and then it's going to come back. But it wasn't coming back. and we started to get news reports that it was going to be a minute. Yeah, they put out a post the company, the electric company.
Starting point is 00:05:35 He was like, yeah, this is generally when people are going to get their power back dependent on zip code. And some people were getting it back that day. Some people not for another week. Right. So we were in the later category and I thought, well, let's pack up, let's go.
Starting point is 00:05:50 And it was about to get dark because it was 5 o'clock and sunset was at 509. And they're like, pack everything up. Because once it gets dark, you can't. We're like, turn it. Zombies come out. No, but we have to like light candles to see. And I don't want us walking around the house with candles trying to pack.
Starting point is 00:06:03 And then we set the house on fire. So, I mean, obviously we had little flashlights too. But I don't know. We were lighting candles. That just seemed more like the vibe. Were y'all doing that when you were there? No candles, but we did lots of fireplaces, multiple fireplaces. Oh, see, I just have one.
Starting point is 00:06:22 And then my wife would go, this smells way more like gas than it should. And I'd forget to open the flu. the flap thing. Oh, you have to open a flu for the gas firemen? Yes. Yeah? Or else you trap the gas inside. The gas stays in.
Starting point is 00:06:36 You want it all to go up, baby. You want it to go out. Out of the house. Yeah, you're lucky you got to get out. Wait a second. I don't have to do anything like that. Then it must always stay open. Okay, I guess so.
Starting point is 00:06:47 Ours is like a little piece of like a metal. Yeah, I know what that is because when I had a wood burning fireplace with gas, like I would have to open that. But the gas needs to go out of your house. Yeah, mine must already be hooked. up. It's got to be. Oh, it's got to be. It's got to be. It's got to be. But now you're making me curious. But there's no hooked up. I mean, it's already got to be, you know, good to go, is what I mean. So then yours never closes.
Starting point is 00:07:09 So it's cold coming through? Because I, listen, when I had, I've only, I've not been in this house for that long. And I switched out the fireplace as part of the renovation. So I haven't had this particular setup for a lot. Like, I don't use it often is my point. So maybe I have a little more to learn. But I've never opened or shut anything. Yeah, that's probably a you thing more than it is. You have a crazy new pool. But the people when they came and installed it, they didn't tell me that.
Starting point is 00:07:39 Because I think that's known. It doesn't matter. Listen, I'm not the expert. Okay. Yeah, maybe you have a special one. Maybe. Yeah. Let's just leave it with.
Starting point is 00:07:46 There might be. I wouldn't leave it at that because if you need it again, I don't want you to trap a bunch of gases in your house. Heck no. But to Caitlin's point, similarly, I was smelling lots of cats. Well, you're going to smell some because it's a gas fireplace. Like, there will be gas. I mean, I was running for hours and we're fine, so clearly it's going somewhere.
Starting point is 00:08:05 Great. Great. Well, good. I'm glad you're okay. And I'm glad you got a good story there. I'm going to hit the fireplace guy. It reminds me of the time when I had to call the fireplace guy because I thought birds were trapped in my chimney.
Starting point is 00:08:18 And it was, I had set my screensaver on my TV to like a nature background. And it had birds chirping as part of it. of the scene, scenery. Oh, man. And he came and looked, and he's like, man, there are no birds stuck in your chimney. Did he hear the birds? Yeah, we all heard them. I wasn't crazy.
Starting point is 00:08:37 Like, I had other people in my house. Like, Stevenson was like, yeah, what's that noise? But I just never had said it to a, also I had just hung up that TV. It was a new TV, so new screensavers. I just, you know. Nobody called you crazy, by the way. New scenarios. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:08:50 Well, I'm glad you have a good tell me something. Like my eyes are watering uncontrolley right now, and is it because my body's like. Yeah, carbon monoxide. That's what it is, the gas. Okay, so yeah, tell me something good. Eddie, tell me something good. Well, this is kind of like bad, but then it's better than I thought it was going to be. So I told you guys that I had a busted pipe outside.
Starting point is 00:09:09 It was my faucet. I went out there, and it looked like a whole frozen waterfall coming out of the faucet. I knew it was going to be a problem. So we called a plumber. He checked it out. It's a busted pipe. And I was like, oh, my gosh, this is going to be thousands of dollars. It ended up being $700.
Starting point is 00:09:25 dollars, which is better than I thought. And there was no damage inside the wall, which I thought, man, that water was going to be all inside the wall. We're going to have to reconstruct the side of the house. Not the case. So tell me something good based on expectations of it being really bad. Yeah, because I thought it was going to be so, so bad. Yeah, that looked pretty bad coming out of your house. Dude. And then, you know, we were out of town, so I didn't really know what I was dealing with, so my wife had to deal with it. But then I'd call the guy on the phone and I couldn't see what he was talking about. My mind was spinning like, it was going to be so much
Starting point is 00:09:56 money. Good for you. I bet you we have $70,000 in damage on our property. At least... No, and pull, pull busted. It's completely drained. Trees have crashed parts of at least $70,000 in damage. I'm getting my
Starting point is 00:10:12 tree quote today, so we shall see... Ours isn't just trees. Like, again, our pool is completely busted and has drained itself out because of the pipes busting. That is so bad. Oh, yeah. Yeah, it sucks. Could be a lot worse. At least we have power. Imagine being out of that money and no power. No, if you told me $70,000, I would walk. Where?
Starting point is 00:10:30 I wouldn't stop and I wouldn't look back. Pack your bags. Like, see, I'm going to go to the store and get some milk and never come back. I think that's the low estimate too, Sallel. Oh, my goodness. I know. What? But I'm just going to be thankful.
Starting point is 00:10:41 Oh. Is that you telling me something good? No, I was just following up your story there. So, yeah, Eddie, your $700. Not that bad. Not that bad. That's why it's to tell me something good. Yeah. Dang, Bobby.
Starting point is 00:10:52 Sorry, dude. Oh, it's fine. No. Is this where that saying comes in with like... Easy come, easy come? No. Trust me, it ain't easy come. It ain't easy come.
Starting point is 00:11:01 It is easy go. More money, more problems? Oh, that could be it. No, it's all good. I just... Kaelan was like, the pole's completely empty. Because I left for a couple days. Eddie and I went to California to go and do some interviews.
Starting point is 00:11:14 And so I was like, it is? Then I got home, and it's completely drained. Where did it go? Into the back yard. That's really bad. What are you thinking? I don't know. Oh my goodness.
Starting point is 00:11:25 We were talking about logs. Dude, you didn't throw logs in there? Remember Amy? So I learned with that. It's not that it keeps it from freezing, but it'll keep it from, well, it helps absorb some of the stuff. So like if you have pool tiles, it'll keep the tiles from cracking because the log takes on some of the thing. So it'll still freeze. So the crack in your pool was so bad that all the water.
Starting point is 00:11:48 It's all out, bro. And it's basically like flooded. back there in the backyard. No, I know it's not good. Yes, yes, I'm familiar with the not goodness of it. But I'm in a bad mood for you, dude. I'm not in a bad mood about it. I know. I am. Because I can't do anything about it, right? It's one of those
Starting point is 00:12:05 things you can't control. It's annoying. Amy, I'll send you a picture of the pool. Because again, I have a pool. I never thought I'd have a pool. There was one kid in our whole town that had an above ground pool and he was like the rich kid. So the fact that I have a pool is crazy in itself, but if you look at that picture I sent you, that's ice on the bottom. and it's completely, that's like when it's five, six drained. Okay, I texted about my fireplace.
Starting point is 00:12:28 I have a vent-free unit. Ah, okay. There you go. Y'all were worrying me. I'm like, I poisoned us. What does that mean a vent-free unit? It means it has a special connection that takes the gas out. So it was special.
Starting point is 00:12:41 Yeah. You are special. Wow, Amy. There you go. I think my, tell me something good is going to be, we got internet back yesterday, finally. That's good. We didn't have internet. You don't have to, like.
Starting point is 00:12:50 No, that's good. It's really exciting. Hey, hey, we got to look at the clip things. Oh my gosh. You see the pool? Amy, we just moved on. Well, I texted her picture. What am I?
Starting point is 00:13:02 That's crazy. Yeah. Yeah, it sucks. I can't imagine going out there and looking at that. And there's just being no water, be like, where'd that go? Well, it's like, what is in there is like frozen and it's like concrete. Yeah. Did he send you a picture of his internet, though?
Starting point is 00:13:15 That's pretty cool. I have internet back, and so I was able to watch Roll Rumble. Oh, good. So there was no football. but there was a lot of sports. So I was able to watch a lot of sports. Saturday, yeah, I guess I got internet back Saturday. So I watched Roll Rumble.
Starting point is 00:13:29 It wasn't that good. It's my favorite event. I like it better than WrestleMania, and it wasn't that good. They had it in the Middle East. Oh, yeah, during the day, right? Well, yeah, because it was so late there. It was in Riyadh, how you say it, Mike? Yeah, I think so.
Starting point is 00:13:42 Saudi Arabia? Is that where that was? I didn't know. It was in the Middle East, though, so it was like 3 o'clock in the morning by the end of it there. Whoa. A little overrated, that was. And then I watch arc so I could be back Kentucky and that sucked, too.
Starting point is 00:13:54 I almost texted you during the game when y'all were coming back and that guy dunked after like three technical fouls and 30 seconds. Why were you watching it? My boyfriend had it on. So, but I almost texted. I was like, that dunk was crazy. And then the fouls, like everything. It was just a really crazy like. Is it a crazy game.
Starting point is 00:14:15 The 10 minutes I saw was a little nuts. And I thought, oh, yeah, they're coming back. Like this is all the energy. and it was cool. But then I thought, I don't know what's going to happen. I don't want to text you. Better you did. Smart.
Starting point is 00:14:27 Even though it was a high, but I know what my text to be the reason why. Because it would have been in my mind. Yes. Yeah, it would have been. Trust me. My texts have many times been the reason why they lost. I literally had it typed out because I was like, dang, because I really was entertained by what was happening.
Starting point is 00:14:43 And that's not often in sports. And then I just slowly deleted and put my phone down. Good for you. Riyadh, is how you say it. The capital of Saudi Arabia. Oh, I guess I'll remember that now. I didn't know what the capital would be.
Starting point is 00:14:54 It's pretty, they built a, like, an arena just for the event. And so the big thing was they were coming in and having an arena, a wrestling event where slave labor had built an arena. I don't know if that's true or not. Do you hear all that stuff? It looked empty. Yeah, it wasn't full, especially during the first half of it. It ended up filling up later, probably because they made people do them in jail. Are they trying to, like, expand Saudi Arabia?
Starting point is 00:15:18 I think Saudi Arabia paid a bunch of money for them to come more than they're trying to expand to Saudi Arabia. I think Saudi Arabia paid a bunch of money. Makes sense. The lunchbox, yours. Yeah, so last week I told you my floors were down in my downstairs, and now it is official. My boys have moved back into their room. They have their own beds. It's not three boys sleeping on one mattress on the floor. Their beds are, we built the beds this weekend. And they are sleeping in their own beds, and it feels amazing.
Starting point is 00:15:47 Got power. Everything's good. We got power. We don't have internet or cable. That is still. out and yeah so that's we got heat we got power half my neighborhood still doesn't have power so I feel bad for those people so it's a little awkward when they walk by and they're like oh do you have power yeah we got power oh we still not have power sorry man um it is weird that you can have a house because that's happening everywhere a house with power it's almost like a tornado hits it can hit one or two houses and then leave two houses right next to it completely untouched so the power will come on you'll see a couple houses, a couple down, a couple more on.
Starting point is 00:16:22 And then if you have the neighborhood and you have like the one house that doesn't have power, they're not going to rush to come back to you because they're working on some other place that has multiple homes with no power. So yeah, it's a wild situation we're living in right now. Or then there's the generator people, which is fine. We went to dinner on Friday night and ran into these people and they were talking about, oh yeah, we haven't had power, we don't have power. And like we're talking five minutes and we had all lost power. At some point, I still didn't have it back at that point.
Starting point is 00:16:46 and then somewhere in the conversation she's like oh well we've had a generator the whole time that's not not having power yeah she's like they have the kind where it kicks in right when the because it's hooked up to their gas line or whatever and I was like wait
Starting point is 00:17:00 you just sat here with us in misery for five minutes stolen valor she goes oh I should clarify we have a generator you're doing a go fund me for them so they can have like I was thinking oh maybe they're in a hotel or I don't know where they are
Starting point is 00:17:14 she's like well technically we haven't had to leave there's videos of outside of hotels because a lot of the hotels have opened up to people with animals, even if they don't normally take animals, and then outside the hotels is just dog poop everywhere. Oh my gosh. Oh, disgusting. People pick up after your dogs. Just dog poop central, man. Yeah, rough.
Starting point is 00:17:33 There you go. That's a weird way to end that, too, is also on something sad. That's Tell Me Something Good. Thank you, everybody. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what I'm saying.
Starting point is 00:17:46 Yep, that's me, Cliver Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, the reactions, my journey from basketball to college football, or my career in sports media. Well, somewhere along the way, this platform became bigger than I ever imagined. And now I'm bringing all of that excitement to my brand new podcast, The Clifford Show. We share stories and scientific insights to help us all better navigate these periods of turbulence and transformation. There is one finding that is consistent, and that is that our resilience rests on our relationships. I wish that I hadn't resisted for so long the need to change. We have to be willing to live with a kind of uncertainty that none of us likes. Listen to a slight change of plans on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts. On a recent episode of the podcast Money and Wealth with John Hope Bryant, I sit down with Tiffany
Starting point is 00:19:46 the budgetista aliche to talk about what it really takes to take control of your money. What would that look like in our families if everyone was able to pass on wealth to the people when they're no longer here? We break down budgeting, financial discipline, and how to build real wealth, starting with the mindset shifts. Too many of us were never, ever taught. Financial education is not always about like, I'm going to get rich. That's great. It's about creating an atmosphere for you to be able to take care of yourself and leave a strong financial legacy for your family. If you've ever felt you didn't get the memo on money,
Starting point is 00:20:25 this conversation is for you to hear more. Listen to Money and Wealth with John O'Brien from the Black Effect Network on the I'd Heart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. I'm Daniel Jeremiah. And I'm Greg Rosenthal. Starting point is 00:20:49 This is my favorite part of the calendar. Yeah, mine too, Greg, free agency, the combine, the NFL draft, Pro Days, trades. This is where teams reshape their future. This is where Daniel Jeremiah makes his money. On 40s and free agents, we break down every move that actually matters. From my draft evaluations, mock drafts, and team fits. To my top 101 free agents and how real rosters are built, cap space, contracts and all the tough decisions included.
Starting point is 00:21:16 You got quarterbacks on the move. We got teams rebuilding. It's hope season. Yeah, absolutely. It's hope season. We'll tell you what's real, what's noise, and what it means for your favorite team. Smart analysis, real conversations every week.
Starting point is 00:21:30 I don't know about the smart, but definitely analysis. Listen to 40s and free agents on the IHeart radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. It's time for the good news. With Bobby. As a birthday present, Wendy in Ohio got a bouquet, but not flowers. It was 60 Ohio lottery tickets. And so she got it.
Starting point is 00:21:55 She did a little scratch. They were all $2 tickets. So $120 spent on the lottery tickets in total. Two bucks each, do the math. She up for $20,000. Wow. Nice. Awesome.
Starting point is 00:22:08 That's pretty cool. Wendy says she immediately freaked out and she wasn't with the friends when She was scratching them because there were 60. She's not going to sit and scratch in front of everybody. So she took them home and scratched them. And he called everybody. I want $20,000. You got to double check that.
Starting point is 00:22:24 That's awesome. That's from people. Good story. That is what it's all about. That was Tell me something good. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good.
Starting point is 00:22:36 This is in the middle of the winter storm and there's an infant baby that needs to go to the hospital. Parents are freaking out. So they call the ambulance to come pick up the baby. The baby's in the ambulance. but the ambulance on the middle of the road starts getting stuck, spinning. Cannot go anywhere. So they call a snowplow driver. His name is Joe Estes.
Starting point is 00:22:54 He's about 10 minutes away. He says, I'll be right there. And he starts plowing the roads while the ambulance follows behind. And that's the only way they can get to the hospital to save the baby. They just follow the snowplow as he plowed the way to the hospital. That's awesome. But man, the driver had to be like, snowplow, can you go any faster? They do go fast.
Starting point is 00:23:12 It's kind of a limit. That's great, though. Yeah. That's crazy. Good job. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. A win is a win. A win is a win. I don't care what you're saying. Yep, that's me, Clivert Taylor the 4th. You might have seen the skits, my basketball and college football journey,
