Starting point is 00:01:51 This morning, the internet lost its mind. And nobody's telling you exactly what happened. That's where Sports Slice comes in. I'm Timbo. In every episode, we're cutting through the noise, breaking down the biggest moments in sports and giving you the real story behind the headlines. and we're going straight to the source, the athletes themselves. Their locker room stories, their reactions in the moment, and the stuff nobody gets to hear.
Starting point is 00:02:14 Listen to Sports Slice on the IHeart Radio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. And for more, follow Timbo Slicalife-Life 12 in the TikTok podcast network on TikTok. It's time for the good news. Tell me something good. We watched a few episodes of The Wire. Oh, yeah.
Starting point is 00:02:35 Oh, yeah, you haven't been here. Oh, yeah. I forget he's been gone. He's been ill, so he doesn't know, like, the stuff that's been happening. Tell me. It is true, because I was talking about our listeners, and I say, hey, if you're hearing this episode, and it's like three months ahead of time, just skip ahead. There's crap that happens in, like, a few days that I forget sometimes, even little things. Because lunchbox was just gone.
Starting point is 00:02:56 He didn't know that. It's fine. Just wait. Just watch it. I hear you, and that's why we're continuing to watch it. You're going to stick with it? Yeah, the good news is, and I got a few things. We started watching the wire.
Starting point is 00:03:13 We don't do anything on the weekends. Like I'm telling you, there's nothing with the weekend do. We're locked into the baby schedule because it's feed every two and a half hour. It's changed and feeds and nap. I mean, we are locked in so it can't go anywhere. We really don't. Not yet. She doesn't have her two months shots yet, so we're playing it pretty safe here.
Starting point is 00:03:33 She's not two months. That's why. We're not holding her out of her two months shots. She's just not. Yeah, she's not too months. So my wife had brought it up before we should start watching The Wire. I don't know. There's so many good shows on now.
Starting point is 00:03:49 Why do we? I was watching an old show. And then we watch four episodes. I think back when it came out is awesome. It's starting to slow burn me just a little bit. But I'm thinking that it was amazing then and maybe it's just not as amazing now. But it could be wrong. I'm wide open to it because we're investing time.
Starting point is 00:04:12 minute, that's all. That's a great question. Because it has been so many years since I watched it, at least a decade. I think they just celebrated either 20 or 25 year anniversary of it. Did you watch it live, Lunchbox? No, I didn't watch it live. When it was happening? No, because I didn't have HBO. I bought the DVDs. Hmm. So we did start it. I did say we were going to start it. We watched 10 minutes the first episode and checked out just because of the baby. But it started in 2022. So I guess they just had their... 2000. Oh yeah, good point Yeah, 2002
Starting point is 00:04:45 So I guess not 25 years But I guess they had their 20th Wow That's crazy A couple years ago Yeah We're in We're watching it
Starting point is 00:04:55 It's just fun to see all the people though That went on to be very famous from it Michael B Jordan's a young kid Playing a character in it Idrisalba Oh he's in that too Yeah
Starting point is 00:05:04 Yep That guy from Dominique West From the Crown He's in the Crown now How many seasons I think there's five. Four or five, yeah. I'm not saying it's not going to be good,
Starting point is 00:05:18 but here's my good news. We started it. We've invested in it. We definitely thought this is not for us at first because it was just so dated. And then I had to imagine, sometimes I like to watch shows that are set at that time back then
Starting point is 00:05:30 where they didn't have cell phones and stuff, so why just act like it's that? Yeah. So that's number one. Let's see, was there anything else? It just starts to blur together at this point. When the weekends come, I know that I'm about to do nothing, except just sit around and relieve my wife.
Starting point is 00:05:49 I can't kind of get the baby to stop fussing and crying, though, if I march. I can hold the baby and march and sing to the beat, and then she will calm down. That's about it. That's about my strength when it comes to calming the baby down. So, yeah, that's probably it. Arkansas beat Mississippi State in a softball series,
Starting point is 00:06:08 which was good. Their top 20 team went to Mississippi State and won that. that's good. Other than that, just my normal weekend. Amy, anything good? Yeah, my son had friends spend the night all weekend, so Friday night and Saturday night. I was wrong. I was wrong. Can I stop you real quick?
Starting point is 00:06:23 I won $1,300 on Rory winning the Masters. Oh, that's huge. Yeah. Amy psychicking me, I won $1,300 bucks on Rory winning the Masters. I was about to mention that, but then I can't do your, tell me something good for you. You're right. You're right. Start yours over. I didn't want to brag. I mean, that's fun that I got that right.
Starting point is 00:06:41 But with my son having friends coming over on Friday when he got him from school, I remembered from back when the kids had smaller beds. We have two twin mattresses in our attic. And I thought our attic is easy to get to. It's not when you have to like pull down and climb up. Like you walk through a closet and it's there. So I thought, okay, these mattresses are easy to get to. We have a game room area. How fun if we pull the mattresses down and make the beds up.
Starting point is 00:07:10 and then they get to sleep in the game room and make a whole thing out of it. And I'd never thought to do that before. And when he heard me suggest it, like his eyes lit up. And I was like, I don't know, but it might be sort of a process like to get the mattresses down. He's like, no, we're committed now at this point.
Starting point is 00:07:28 We're committed. So we go in the attic and we both pull the mattresses and we take them down the stairs and then back up these other little stairs above the garage to the game room. I mean, it was sort of a process, but then it was totally worth it. like for him to have just his slumber party in the game room.
Starting point is 00:07:45 Could you build that out and not buy construction, but like put stuff there and make it? I mean, I'm definitely not taking the mattresses up to the attic anytime soon. I think we'll just hide them behind the couch in that area and then we can bust them out when he has friends over. But it did make me think, yeah, like adding, I think it would be added value to my house anyway to make like a bunk area or something. Because that room, it's such a catch-all right now that it did make me think, if I put some thought into this, I could add some value to this room to where if a family wanted to buy it one day, because I already do have some offers sometimes. But if it, it would just, I think they would appreciate that part of the bonus room. People are offering you on this house?
Starting point is 00:08:25 Yeah, my realtor reached out. Every house Amy buys people to show up an offer. Every single one. Yeah. She's like, I got people interested. And I'm like, well, I don't. So you have a realtor, like a realtor that just, they're with you at. all times? She, no, she's not. Great question. No, but she's also a friend, but she's the one that sold my last house and bought this house, so she knows, she also has clients that are looking, and they're looking for my neighborhood, and she thought. Oh, so maybe it's the realtor being like,
Starting point is 00:08:57 well, I have a friend that has a house there. I'll ask her if she likes to move. Right. Okay, that makes sense. She moves every three months, so why would we not ask her? No, at least holding on, no, every two years, at least, because then I don't have to pay capital gains. Oh, that's fancy talk. What does that even mean? Yeah. Is capital gains, though, on a primary residence? If you don't own it for
Starting point is 00:09:19 two years, then you have to pay it. Hey, what is that? Tell me more. So you would pay it. It's a tax you pay on the sale of your home. But if you own it for two years, then you don't have to pay it. And it's also on other than just homes, too. Other assets. Other properties, but particularly right.
Starting point is 00:09:37 It can be bonds in real estate. And depending on where you live, live, this could be totally different, but where we live, you have to own your, like, if I sold my primary residence, which I'm about to hit the two-year mark, but if I were to sell it today, I would have to pay taxes on my earnings. Oh, I profit. Sounds next level stuff. Well, yeah, but anybody, it's not. A way to pay capital gains on the house that we sold. We lived in before. Did you, you owned it for two years, though. I thought so, too. But we had to pay some capital gains on that. Well, maybe it was, you're in a different bracket or something. I'm sure. That's
Starting point is 00:10:11 definitely true. That's possible. That's what you like, once you hit a certain level. Hey, let's know what, act like Amy's a pauper, okay? I have, but a what? A what? A pauper. What's that mean? Like she's popping? No. A popper. Who uses this word? Are we old? Let's figure this out. Elton John uses it in a song. Hold me close a tiny. Honey Popper. Or the Prince and the Popper, Mark Twain. I could also be saying, it's spelled P-A-U, it could be an accent. Popper. Popper.
Starting point is 00:10:43 No, but how would you say it? P-A-U-P-E-R. P-A-U. P-A-U. P-A-U-P-R? That's what I said, yeah. Popper. So it's an old term. But it's somebody who's extremely poor, or looks poor or... I'm not claiming to be, no.
Starting point is 00:10:54 I know it was a joke. That would be me. That would be me. What's the Al-Jon-Johnsaw has Popper in it? All the nose, that's where I hear it mostly. Hold on. Pop. Just pop.
Starting point is 00:11:10 I have no idea. My Elton John. I'll find it. Go ahead. Tell me something good lunchbox. Well, I mean, I'm a little at this point in the first two, tell me something good. So it was supposed to be lunchbox is back, lunchbox is back, and then you come to me. But mine is, I'm back.
Starting point is 00:11:26 I mean, people have been missing me. People have been like, man, the show isn't the same without you. So here I am. I am. I'm back. I'm healthy. You sound great. Feels good.
Starting point is 00:11:33 I don't know how you recover so quickly, though. Like the recovery is so fast with your voice, all of it. What do you mean? Like, you sounded like crap just a few days ago. I know. That's called a virus. Okay. It comes, it goes.
Starting point is 00:11:47 It comes, it goes. You flush it out. You drink lots of liquid. That's what they say. Stay hydrated. Drink lots of fluid. But what does that do, really? Does that mean you like, the more you drink, the quicker the virus goes out in your urine?
Starting point is 00:11:59 I really have no idea. It just feels good to be back. Leave on is the Elton John song that has the word popper. Leave on. Bobby's glad you're back. I just, but I can't, I don't. I don't remember that line. I know that song.
Starting point is 00:12:14 Don't act like you're a pauper. And it sound better leave on. No, I know. It's something else. I got to find it. Now it's in my head. Okay, what else you got? Eddie.
Starting point is 00:12:24 Okay, so this is really cool. I went to Costco for the first time in a long time. And guys, I got gas at Costco. for $3.69 a gallon. That is crazy because by my house, it's $4. So I didn't know that existed. And I've always heard like, oh, the lines of Costco are crazy. Like, don't get gas at Costco.
Starting point is 00:12:44 It takes forever. Oh, do get gas at Costco. It goes quickly. Well, that's what I was going to say. It goes quickly. I got it so fast and it was cheap. It made my day. And that makes me sound old because I get excited over cheap gas.
Starting point is 00:12:56 But, guys, it's a real thing. I'm looking for cheap gas now. Bobby's still looking for the song. Doobie brothers. It's not like Credence-Clawater Revival. Oh, and my son too, he won his basketball tournament championship. Oh, that's fun. He won?
Starting point is 00:13:11 Yeah, one of them did. That's legit. That was legit. That was in Lebanon, Lebanon, Tennessee. Yeah. So we spent our whole weekend there. But it was cool. They won.
Starting point is 00:13:21 Is it better if you spend a whole weekend somewhere that you win than you spend a whole weekend? Yes. For sure. I spent a bunch of time at a track meet the other day and Stevenson fell down but he didn't the kid in front of him fell down
Starting point is 00:13:36 so then Stevenson tripped over that kid and they both fell as like a pile up at the star and it completely yeah I was like let's get a do-over no do-overs did you ask for that? No I didn't know but as a mom like I felt bad for these kids
Starting point is 00:13:49 and it was just such a bummer because it was right out of the gate and it impacted his time I mean a few days before that, he had like a 458 or 459 or something for the mile. And then this one was a 514 because he fell to the ground and then had to get back up. And then I think it shook him like he was.
Starting point is 00:14:07 Did he have like blood and? No, no. No, because thankfully, I mean, he felt on top of a kid. So like the other kid hit the track. Oh, good, good, good. He stepped on his head and everything. No, I mean, I feel bad. No. He fully fell down and then like had to get back up.
Starting point is 00:14:21 And then I thought, oh, man, maybe they'll do a restart. Like, oh, whoopsie. Maybe a little crowded on the track. What if they did that NASCAR? Oh, there's a wreck. All right. Start over. All the wreck cars, fix yourself up real quick.
Starting point is 00:14:33 They do slow it down. Yeah, but the people that got in the reg don't. You got to go to the back. Yeah. The guys are getting the wreck. If they can still drive, they go to the back. Yeah, if they can drive. Yeah, but it was like we waited for hours, multiple hours for this race, for this one moment.
Starting point is 00:14:49 And then the first five seconds, it was all right. Well, there goes that. Is it chili peppers? What's soft? You mean red hot chili peppers? Give it away, yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
Starting point is 00:15:02 Yeah, that's it. Give it away, give it away, give it away now. Give it away, give it away, give it away now. I can't tell if I'm a kingpin or a pauper. That's it. Yeah. Gritty little people in a seat of distress. That's it.
Starting point is 00:15:14 I knew it was somebody driving me crazy. You got there. Yes. Godly. Did you hear all our tell me something good? I don't care. People didn't mess. The show wasn't good.
Starting point is 00:15:24 Whatever. Cheap gas is. No, that's okay. That's okay. That's okay. real one. Yeah, that's a real one. But I was not listening that much. No, I was focused in on what this was.
Starting point is 00:15:34 Yeah, again, guys, I want to tell you, I have electric cars. I know. It's extremely valuable. I don't even look at the gas signs because I have an electric car. Good for you, man. I know. I look at them and I'm just getting a bad
Starting point is 00:15:49 mood. Yeah, but what about your electric bill? Like, is it huge? I have no idea. You don't like that big of. Different tax. You know what I just got in? I literally don't know like, Hey, he's not a pauper.
Starting point is 00:16:00 I don't know. It goes to my business manager. I don't ever see my bills unless it's like when we fill up our pool with the water after the pool had been broken. And then I know how much that was. I was like $6,000 to fill the pool. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What the?
Starting point is 00:16:13 That was like, um, so crazy. I saw a TikTok video of somebody asking, um, Charles Barkley like, hey, man, what do you think about the economy thing? He's like, that's not fair to ask me that question. I've been rich for a long time. Like, I don't know about that stuff. Luckily, I'm blessed. It was crazy, but he's like, I'm not going to answer that.
Starting point is 00:16:29 I can't. Well, that's why it's gas sucks. I do notice it in my Uber Eats. That's gone up a couple bucks. Oh, are they raising prices because of fuel? They have to because it's gas. I haven't flown anywhere. So I've been buying any flights gone nowhere because of baby for a few months, so I haven't seen it there.
Starting point is 00:16:46 Yeah, my father-in-law said the two times he flew at the airport. Oh, I've thought, I thought, I was looking at some flights the other day and I thought these prices, seem they seemed really ridiculous. But I don't know what that is, if it's because of fuel or maybe flights have just been crazy for a while. But it seemed a lot for, I mean, it was going to be about close to $1,000. Were you trying to buy it in like five minutes? No.
Starting point is 00:17:14 Like your flight in five minutes? No. This was over a month out from California to Nashville, a round trip ticket. So, and it was on Southwest. of course you look at it one way and it's like okay $450 this way for one way and then I mean of course
Starting point is 00:17:33 now that is a lower travel day and that's the high it was the lowest price ticket but it was for an on stop because otherwise you can make multiple stops and get a cheaper ticket but I feel like I used to be able to get a nonstop ticket for less than that. Back in our day and back in the day man
Starting point is 00:17:49 and then I don't not like South Sweat's new system don't like it I don't like it I've not been on a flight since they've changed the system. I have. It's weird. You're talking about the seating? Yeah. It's weird just because it's Southwest, but it's not weird because you've flown other airlines and it's the same.
Starting point is 00:18:05 Yeah, it's weird because it's like, you're not used to Southwest doing that. I mean, I'm sure we'll adjust and it's going to be fine, but I'm like, well, I don't even know. I think they're working out the kinks, because I did it one time, and I don't think they have the boarding process right, because people were having to walk all the way to the back to put their bag above the seat and then walk back to their seat in the front.
Starting point is 00:18:31 But that's if people that stole the front. I know. Why not put your bag? That's because they're idiots. Yes. That's because people that are sitting in the bag put their stuff in the front so they don't have to worry about it.
Starting point is 00:18:42 All right. It's not that they've... But that's what I'm saying. I think they should board it where like the first 10 rows get on first. The next 10 rows get on second. Yeah, first class. That way you just keep going back
Starting point is 00:18:52 and so no one will be taking your baggage space because it was just like, oh my gosh, people climbing overseas here. Let me move out of your way. My bag's way back there. It's like, oh, man. I feel like a little bit though that was happening whenever it was free for all too
Starting point is 00:19:03 because people could go sit anywhere and they just throw their bags up in the front and walk to the back. Maybe it's a little more than that now, but people would do that crap whenever you could sit wherever you wanted. You got a seat in the back or you go to the middle. First spot you find you throw it in there. I never realized people did that.
Starting point is 00:19:19 Yeah, because if you don't have, if there's no room up there, they'd check it. and you don't want to put it behind your seat because you've got to go back and get it. That's true. Yeah. And let's, yeah, Leavons in my head, but I can't tell if I'm a king van or a popper. Man, I was going to drive me crazy, guys.
Starting point is 00:19:34 I was going to go home. I can't do any more of the show until like. Isn't it the best, though, when you finally figure it out? You're like, ah, okay, got it. I love that. Pride is like love. You feel it in your heart. IR. Radio.

There was no anything inside those eyes. They turned black. It scared the hell out of me. That was your first murder case?
Starting point is 00:20:33 Yes, sir. Fear to say this was the biggest case of your career? Yes, sir. Rape a murder for a child. Just as bad as it gets. I would think so. Evil, wake up. I'm the one that saw the murder take place by Crevent and DePippo.
Starting point is 00:20:48 Anthony DePippo showed no signs of remorse, appearing unfazed after being said. sentence to the maximum. I said, I'm not guilty. I'll take it to the grief. Starting point is 00:22:50 Really exciting day because, as you guys know, the crews ruined my old phone. Oh, yeah. I was not able to do videos. I couldn't FaceTime people. I was like in a well. It sounded horrible. And my phone started really acting up. It was just dying left and right.
Starting point is 00:23:05 That's really big. It's the same size as my other one. She doesn't know she got an iPad. Morgan. It is kind of the size of my face. I have to get the bigger phone for the most part too because I can't see very well. But I think that one's bigger than mine. I haven't got a new phone in a while.
Starting point is 00:23:21 Hold yours up. They kind of look like the same size. Mine smaller. I think yours might be bigger than mine. I think yours is bigger, Morgan. Here, hold it up to Bobby's. Lunchboxes is going to be the smallest. I think it's this side.
Starting point is 00:23:33 Hers is a little bit bigger. A tad. Let me see. What? I mean, you're surprised. Oh, we have the same. Lunchbox tonight is the same. Let's see.
Starting point is 00:23:41 Let's see. But it does have the zoom on this one goes like times 50. What? I mean, you can see crazy things. Like Diana Rusini and Mike Vrabble. Yes. Maybe that's how they did it.
Starting point is 00:23:55 Nah. I think. Awesome. And I, you know, we were talking about this last week. I do think that was a PI. And I got that from the internet and then the more that the internet talks about it, it seems like that's the case.
Starting point is 00:24:08 Like somebody was trying to catch them because you don't go out to that place in Sedona, Arizona and be there to take those pictures unless you know you're there to take pictures of something. Yeah, and recognize those two. And also, they suspended her. And for a while they were just like, nah, nothing to see here, but then they suspended her.
Starting point is 00:24:25 And people are like, well, how come he doesn't get suspended? There's a difference. his job isn't covering her Oh Her job is covering him But wasn't he giving her info Okay but If they both were cheating
Starting point is 00:24:43 I don't know the personal dynamics of the story Because they both were married I don't know who knows what In each relationship Every relationship's different But her job is to be a reporter And to have information And to
Starting point is 00:24:54 You have sources and cover the league and she would have information yeah and a lot of the times it was it was about something to do with him and she was here covering the Titans and so are you getting that information because you're you know
Starting point is 00:25:11 doing the magical hug to make the story come if so that is why she suspended because her job is to cover with integrity and have sources his job is a coach football whatever he does on the side but was he giving her the information or she's just learning it by proxy of like Could be both or either.
Starting point is 00:25:29 And that's not illegal. Near him. Nothing's illegal. When he goes to take a shower, she sneaks into his phone. But why does she have his phone while he's showering? Yeah, yeah. Amy, I can't get your phone while you're showering. Yeah, yeah.
Starting point is 00:25:41 Wait, what? That's what happens in the movies. Yeah, but they would already have to be close together for that to happen. Yeah. Like her job where she is supposed to be a trusted reporter. I get it. Has suspended her as a trusted reporter because she's not supposed to do that with her sources. Does sports journalists have done?
Starting point is 00:25:57 the same type of, I don't know, yeah, the integrity category is like a, it also if a dude was with a woman in the same situation and the dude was a journalist, he would also be suspended. It is not a female only thing. What, what's it again? Well, like, is the integrity of a sports journalist? I just didn't know there was, because I mean, obviously when you're reporting on other issues of the world, it's nice to have a neutral, like, non-biased reporter, I appreciate. But, like, in. sports is the same same but like what would it be they would just lean more like they're rooting for a particular team maybe you wouldn't trust what they were saying oh if certain information
Starting point is 00:26:39 would help but aren't they just giving you what you just saw with your eyeballs no like they're not they're reporting on the game you're knowing no and you know like uh who could be traded who wants to be traded oh gotcha stories that people don't want to get out stories that are leaked because a coach doesn't like a player and so he leaks a story story that nobody knows to this. There's just, sure. Is it all trivial in the grand scheme? Yes. Yeah. But I do think it was a PI that was there. So PI meaning potentially hired by one of their spouses or PI from like their profession? I don't know, but I'm going to assume just based off of now the more knowledgeable accounts talking about it, a spouse. A lot of accounts that have
Starting point is 00:27:23 blue check marks think it's a him. The husband. of her. Oh, that hire the PI? But nobody really knows. What if it's a competitor, like someone that wants her position? I don't think that's a position that you just have a ladder and the next one up gets it. Okay. And wasn't she, I believe it was her, but she also had a similar thing before, not with him, but with somebody else. Yeah, with the, well, I used to be the Redskins commanders, the wife, but that ended up being, they said, unfound, at the time. So we really know nothing
Starting point is 00:28:03 except you don't interlock fingers. We never saw the people, at least I haven't, that they all claimed were with them. Yeah, they were with a group of people. It's a $2,000 a night, Sedona, Arizona Hotel, where adults only.
Starting point is 00:28:18 And we've talked about this. Like, if we were the other people, I would have no problem being like, no, no, no, like I was there. Like, we were all there. That was the game we were playing. Or they could have just posted a picture of them with those people like five minutes later
Starting point is 00:28:30 and they're like, oh no, no, here's a picture of us. Still no picture. Nothing. No pictures and no friends coming forward to say they were there. It's pretty obvious. And even if the friends did come forward, even if I was like, yeah, I got Amy's back and said, yeah, I was there. And I really wasn't.
Starting point is 00:28:41 They'd want, okay, show us proof. Bobby's like walking his baby in Nashville. In spirit, I mean, in spirit. How about that guy running for governor in California? Eric Swallow. It turns out now that that, dude, again, everything always comes out after. Like he's kind of known for that.
Starting point is 00:29:00 Yeah. So, I mean, he's removed himself from the race. He's done anyway. So whereas a couple of days ago, he's like, I'm going to fight this. And then now it's like, you know, this is more of my fight. Four women now. Not a campaign fight. But he's being accused by, yes, for women.
Starting point is 00:29:17 And I feel like there's more, I'm sure. Yeah, he has exes ago. For some heinous things. And. Well, let me read because. Allegedly. Democrat, Representative Eric. Swalwell's abrupt exit from the race for California governor left his rival scrambling to lock down his former supporters in a crowded contest with no clear leader injecting more turmoil into the campaign to lead the nation's most populous state.
Starting point is 00:29:40 One of them's alleging rape. What I think, though, I think this wasn't a Republican taking down a Democrat. I think it was another Democrat taking down a Democrat to get him out. So there'd be one Democrat because California's governor race is kind of weird. It's like the people with the most votes run for office regardless of whatever political party they're from. Well, so he was saying, this is Maga trying to take me down. I don't think it was. I think it was within his own party.
Starting point is 00:30:04 Well, I think, well, so there's a girl, and I can't find her account anymore because it just popped up on my, for me. And she had an interview set with Eric Swalwell. And then when she posted about it, something like to her followers to get like, hey, what questions or whatever, she got a DM from someone that was like, ew, he's no blame. know, this is what happened. So she started doing some digging, and then she reached out to someone else who knew someone else, and she started to gather all these women, and for the last couple of months,
Starting point is 00:30:37 was working on putting this out. And so from what I gathered from her, and the team she had built, they sort of broke this and got the victims to be willing to go against them, because I think the victims thought they were kind of the only one. And then through her storytelling, or through her investigating, she was able to piece together.
Starting point is 00:30:57 You are not alone. We have this woman and this woman. And now they have representation. And then that's how the story. So then I was like, well, it's not an inside political thing. Like this was a... I think it started that way, though. Oh, okay.
Starting point is 00:31:12 So, I mean, politics is dirty. I know. By the way, I'm not saying he's not. Dude sounds like a bad dude. And it sounds like he's been, just from what I'm reading from other people who are now writing more on it, It sounds like this has been something that's been happening for a while, and a lot of people knew about it.
Starting point is 00:31:28 Yes. One girl that used to work on the Hill, she's like, oh, yeah, I was just known. And, I mean, she was a woman that, like, to stand against this stuff. But she's like, what's the point of fighting something? This is like a known thing and nobody was doing anything about it. So in California, everyone runs in the same primary, Democrats, Republicans, independents, etc. All voters can vote for any candidate regardless of party. The top two candidates with the most votes advance to the general election, even if they're from the same party. Oh.
Starting point is 00:31:53 And so it looked him being up at the top from what I read. It looked as if two Republicans, though, were doing well enough that there would be no Democrat running. And so if they were able to eliminate one, the other Democrat now will probably get all the votes and be up in that top two. So it was something like that. Yeah, I mean, I believe that stuff like that can happen for sure. It just was like Well good Whatever it took to get him
Starting point is 00:32:29 He's clearly abusing his power On many women over a decade Oh yeah Doing very inappropriate things allegedly And He's also one with the Chinese spy I remember that? He's what?
Starting point is 00:32:45 We talked about that the Chinese spy I don't remember that It was where Pambani got fired Because she tipped him off Yes yes yes Yeah same guy same guy
Starting point is 00:32:56 that's so crazy crazy huh huh I wasn't putting two and two together on that one wow I did see a clip of him back from 2019 talking about some other politician that was in a similar situation and he's being interviewed
Starting point is 00:33:13 and he's saying you know if it was just one person saying this about him but there are multiple people saying this so where there's smoke there's fire And it's kind of funny because now that's like coming back on him, those exact words. It's like if this was just one woman saying this about him, then okay, fine. But right now there are four. You know how I feel about politicians in general.
Starting point is 00:33:34 Yeah. I feel bad for his family. Me too. Let's tell me something good. Oh, yeah. Oh, my bad. I forgot me or doing. We totally get sidetrack.
Starting point is 00:33:43 I mean, I guess tell me something good that he, it forced him to drop out of a race and not end up with even more power. Because imagine if he had won governor. And then you don't know. So that's the, tell me something good. Yep. See? We got there. We got there.
Starting point is 00:34:00 I think we could have gotten there. I think we can get there on anything, you know? Let's see. I was looking to see if it had any. You need to see Morgan's Zoom. Dude, it is crazy. Like she was talking about it and I was like, oh, how close could it be? I just, Amy, I saw Amy's eyeball from here.
Starting point is 00:34:18 Oh, gosh. Like I can zoom in that much. So maybe this whole, you know, rabble thing. It was just an iPhone Somebody up on a hill All right there you go That's what it's all about That was tell me something good
Starting point is 00:34:29 It's time for the good news With Bobby Tell me something good How old were you When you learned how to ride a bike Oh gosh I don't really know to be Five
Starting point is 00:34:42 Is that So you learned it in normal I'm guessing So there was a team bonding session Fort Scott Community College In Kansas It's a You know obviously college
Starting point is 00:34:52 freshman player never learned how to ride a bike. Oh. Well, it's okay. He's going to live. I know. It's just a bike game. Not sick. It's not like.
Starting point is 00:35:02 I know. But he never learned how to ride a bike. And his team was like, you know how to ride a bike? And so they taught him how to ride a bike. Oh, I love that. And so the coach, Matt Glover, guy and it was like, okay, here's how to ride a bike. And so they didn't tease him about it. And this is video of the moment where he rides his bike and his teammate.
Starting point is 00:35:20 Again, these are 18, 19, 19, 20 years. I love this. And they're celebrating him. Go ahead. That's awesome. That's awesome. I just pictured this kid, teenager, like, you know, I have the handlebars and it's all shaky the first time and he's all shaking with it. But they're rooting him on.
Starting point is 00:35:42 I love that story. That's from USA Today. That is what it's all about. That was Tell Me Something Good. It's time for the good news. With producer Eddie. Tell me something good. A father and son went fishing in Wisconsin on a river, but it was so cold.
Starting point is 00:35:59 The water was 35 degrees. it's freezing when the boat kind of tilts and the dad goes overboard falls in the river and the sun has a lifeguard life jacket an extra one so it does it to dad but the current's kind of fighting so while the sun is driving the boat he gets closer to the dad and says dad put this under you so you're floating that way you don't have hypothermia or whatever so he does that the dad puts the life jacket and he grabs the dad by the life jacket and hauls the boat back to the back to shore the emergency crews are there, they're like, oh man, if it wasn't for that life jacket, the hypothermia definitely would
Starting point is 00:36:35 have set in and it would have been really bad. Dang. To drag your dad on a boat to and not run him over. Yeah, because as soon as the dad went in, he was motionless because the water was so cold. We had a dam where we grew up. Big dam. They released water and the water would be like 48 degrees. It was just cold.
Starting point is 00:36:54 Your body turns red. And we were just going jumping it. Like as soon it was cold. See how long you could stand in water? Like polar plumbium. We were coal plunging before coal plunging was even cool. Right. But you would get down sometimes and your body would lock up.
Starting point is 00:37:06 And that's what happened here. Oh, it was worse. That was way worse. They couldn't get, he couldn't get him back in the boat. 35 degree water. Yeah, that's crazy. Good for the quick thinking and good for not running over your dad with the boat if you're dragging them in. That's true, too.
Starting point is 00:37:18 That's a good job, kid. Also, wear your life jacket. That's what I'm going to say from this. Yes. Wear your life jacket. If you're in a boat where the water's like 35, probably a flat bottom, I don't know what they're in. Put the life jacket on. And it's funny because people think, like, oh, I'm a great swimmer.
Starting point is 00:37:33 And that's good and all. But if you get knocked out and you don't have a life jacket, it's over. Especially in 35 degree water. Yes. Yes. Good story. Glad everybody's good. That's what it's all about.
Starting point is 00:37:43 That was Tell Me Something Good. Joy is essential and it's also elusive. But now, there's a new and exciting way to start your journey toward a more joyful existence.
